  Joseph to Egypt. Even though he faced many hard

  things, being far from home, being treated unfairly,

  even going to prison, Joseph never stopped trusting

  God. Today, we'll see what happens when Pharaoh,

  the king of Egypt, has a troubling dream. Could

  prison, two full years had passed. Life went

  on in Pharaoh's palace, and Pharaoh's cupbearer

  seemed to have forgotten all about Joseph. But

  God hadn't. Then one night, Pharaoh had a dream,
• 1:09
  a very strange one. In his dream, he saw seven
• 1:13
  fat, healthy cows standing by a river. Suddenly,
• 1:18
  seven thin, ugly cows came and ate the fat cows,
• 1:22
  but they didn't look any fuller afterward. Pharaoh
• 1:26
  woke up, confused. He fell asleep again and had
• 1:31
  another dream. This time, seven full, healthy
• 1:36
  heads of grain were growing on one stalk. Then
• 1:40
  seven thin, dry heads appeared and swallowed
• 1:43
  up the healthy ones. When Pharaoh woke up, he
• 1:48
  was very troubled. No one in all of Egypt could
• 1:52
  explain what the dreams meant. His wise men and
• 1:56
  magicians tried, but they had no answers. That's
• 2:01
  when the cupbearer suddenly remembered something.

  He told Pharaoh about a young man he had met
• 2:07
  in prison, someone who had interpreted dreams
• 2:11
  exactly right. Pharaoh quickly sent his servants
• 2:15
  to get Joseph. Joseph was brought out of the
• 2:25
  prison, cleaned up, and brought before the king.

  Joseph listened carefully as Pharaoh explained
• 2:33
  his dreams. Joseph didn't guess or make things
• 2:37
  up. He made it clear that only God could give
• 2:41
  the true meaning of dreams, and Joseph trusted
• 2:45
  God to do just that. God showed Joseph what the
• 2:50
  dreams meant. there would be seven good years
• 2:53
  in Egypt, with plenty of food for everyone. But
• 2:58
  after that, there would be seven years of famine,
• 3:01
  when nothing would grow and people would go hungry.
• 3:06
  Joseph also explained what Pharaoh should do.

  He needed to save food during the good years
• 3:13
  so that Egypt would have enough during the bad
• 3:16
  years. Pharaoh could see that God had given Joseph
• 3:20
  great wisdom. He decided to make Joseph a leader
• 3:24
  in Egypt, second only to Pharaoh himself. Joseph,
• 3:36
  once a prisoner, was now in charge of preparing
• 3:39
  the whole country for what was coming. God had
• 3:43
  been preparing him for this moment all along.

  waited a really long time for something? How

  so long? Even when it seems like nothing is happening,

  God is always working behind the scenes. Joseph

  right, God opened the door. And not just any

  door, the palace door. Sometimes when we feel

  forgotten or stuck, it doesn't mean God isn't
• 4:36
  paying attention. He sees everything, and he
• 4:40
  knows the perfect time to act. What an incredible
• 4:46
  story. From the prison to the palace, Joseph
• 4:50
  trusted God every step of the way, and God used
• 4:54
  his gifts to help an entire nation. Next time,
