- 0:02Speaker 1: This is an Unspoiled Network podcast. This is spoil Me,
- 0:09Speaker 1: covering one Piece episodes seven fifty four and seven fifty five.
- 0:16Speaker 1: A battle begins, Loofy versus the Mink Tribe and gart
- 0:21Speaker 1: you the straw Hats reunite, which is a bit of
- 0:25Speaker 1: a lie, isn't it, my friends? Because the straw Hats
- 0:29Speaker 1: aren't fully reunited. It doesn't feel so good. Welcome to
- 0:37Speaker 1: spoil Me, Welcome to the show everyone. I am Natasha.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Thank you very much to Floria for commissioning this episode
- 1:01Speaker 1: and for being flexible and allowing me to reschedule yet again.
- 1:07Speaker 1: But yeah, I am. I'm really relieved, actually that I
- 1:13Speaker 1: double checked the whether or not I should watch three
- 1:18Speaker 1: episodes because I was feeling like these episodes were pretty packed,
- 1:25Speaker 1: and I was thinking maybe it was my imagination. But
- 1:30Speaker 1: the fact that I'm only meant to watch two for
- 1:33Speaker 1: this episode and two for the next one, I think
- 1:36Speaker 1: is saying something because there is a lot happening here.
- 1:40Speaker 1: And I know that I said before, how you know
- 1:45Speaker 1: how strange a beginning this is? I thought that the
- 1:51Speaker 1: strange beginning was that Nami has been turned into a dog,
- 1:55Speaker 1: which I won't apologize for thinking that she's wearing Namies clothes,
- 2:01Speaker 1: and I am almost positive this is the same voice
- 2:05Speaker 1: actress as well. So I feel like this show was
- 2:09Speaker 1: intentionally tricking me to be perfectly fair. And that's fine
- 2:16Speaker 1: if it were meant to be that everybody was getting tricked,
- 2:20Speaker 1: but it's played very much like the only person who
- 2:24Speaker 1: falls for it is Oosop because he is very very
- 2:29Speaker 1: much letting his imagination run away with him. And I
- 2:33Speaker 1: couldn't help but just be like, I don't appreciate that
- 2:37Speaker 1: you're trying to put me in the same place as
- 2:39Speaker 1: USAP show. I'm not being unreasonable, same clothes, same voice actress,
- 2:45Speaker 1: and Florien is pointing out and she kind of has
- 2:48Speaker 1: brown orange hair. Yeah, exactly. It felt very much like, well,
- 2:55Speaker 1: we had people turning into toys and forgetting who there
- 2:58Speaker 1: there the people around them, forgetting who they were. I
- 3:02Speaker 1: didn't think that it was so unreasonable that we have
- 3:06Speaker 1: people turn into animals and they forget who their friends are.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Instead we reverse it, you know. I just thought that
- 3:13Speaker 1: doesn't seem like it's out of the question. Why would
- 3:15Speaker 1: it be? And no, it turns out Nami has a
- 3:19Speaker 1: whole other outfit on, and I guess has just lent
- 3:24Speaker 1: this bitch lol her clothing, which it just feels like
- 3:31Speaker 1: I've been baited and I don't appreciate it. That's all
- 3:34Speaker 1: I'm saying. I just feel like this is a real
- 3:37Speaker 1: little Oakie doke and that it's on purpose. So but yeah,
- 3:43Speaker 1: it is. It is not Nam, it is a whole
- 3:46Speaker 1: other character. I really want to. I meant to mention
- 3:50Speaker 1: this last time and I forgot. There is of course
- 3:54Speaker 1: new arc new theme song, and you guys know, was
- 3:59Speaker 1: very very much loving the theme song from last season,
- 4:03Speaker 1: and I was feeling like a little dread that once
- 4:06Speaker 1: we move on, who knows what we're gonna get. I
- 4:08Speaker 1: just kind of wanted to stick with that one. It
- 4:12Speaker 1: was a false alarm. This new theme song is also
- 4:15Speaker 1: a bop. We have had two good ones in a
- 4:17Speaker 1: row here, so I'm very excited about that. But initially
- 4:21Speaker 1: I definitely was just like, oh, no, it's gonna be
- 4:24Speaker 1: a new one. Ah, what is it? But yeah, it's great,
- 4:28Speaker 1: and I just I didn't watch the opening credits. I
- 4:32Speaker 1: just let the music like wash over me. But I
- 4:34Speaker 1: try not to actually watch because I know that there
- 4:38Speaker 1: have been spoilers in the openings before. But I will
- 4:41Speaker 1: say that I glanced up at one point and everybody
- 4:44Speaker 1: was playing with super soakers, and I am very much
- 4:48Speaker 1: wanting that episode. We keep getting these like really fun intros, guys,
- 4:55Speaker 1: where everybody is just chilling at the beach having a
- 4:57Speaker 1: great time. I just really you want an arc where
- 5:02Speaker 1: all the biggest thing we've got to deal with is
- 5:04Speaker 1: how to throw a really great beach party, and that's
- 5:08Speaker 1: all we need to worry about the whole time is
- 5:11Speaker 1: just like, well we don't have enough food. No, there's
- 5:14Speaker 1: not enough tables or seating or is it gonna rain.
- 5:18Speaker 1: I literally like, that's all I want, and I don't
- 5:23Speaker 1: know if I'm ever going to get it. I would
- 5:26Speaker 1: assume if I ever do that, that's sort of a
- 5:30Speaker 1: filler episode, you know. But if it is, please warn
- 5:37Speaker 1: me once we get to those filler episodes and let
- 5:39Speaker 1: me know. Hey, we're not gonna commission these. But you
- 5:43Speaker 1: were saying that you wanted like beach time episodes, and
- 5:46Speaker 1: those are these, so you should watch them anyway. So anyway,
- 5:52Speaker 1: I just wanted to mention it because the super soaker thing,
- 5:56Speaker 1: you guys, it was just it's so much fun and
- 6:01Speaker 1: there's there's a shot of like Robin and Nami and
- 6:05Speaker 1: Robin has eight hands and she's holding like eight water guns,
- 6:09Speaker 1: and I just thought that was hilarious. I just really
- 6:12Speaker 1: liked that as a bit, she would have such an
- 6:16Speaker 1: unfair advantage over everybody in this case. So, okay, let's see,
- 6:25Speaker 1: I'm Bernadette here, Hi Bernadette, Sarah Fim says, Welcome to zoo,
- 6:29Speaker 1: where Oda goes full furry bait. Yeah. A lot of
- 6:34Speaker 1: the more fun random intro bits are taken from cover
- 6:37Speaker 1: pages Oda draws of the crew hanging out, gotcha. Yeah, Like,
- 6:42Speaker 1: I don't know, maybe this is some supplementary thing out
- 6:45Speaker 1: there as well. I'm sure there's fanfic, but I don't
- 6:47Speaker 1: want that. I want like cannon hangout times. But anyway,
- 6:53Speaker 1: this uh zoo is a really fasting concept. So there's
- 7:05Speaker 1: a few different things going on here. The one that
- 7:11Speaker 1: I really want to know about is this like whale
- 7:15Speaker 1: shaped tree that's in the middle of everything, and how
- 7:20Speaker 1: that all came to be. Well, really, I don't think
- 7:24Speaker 1: we're probably going to wind up getting like the origin
- 7:27Speaker 1: of this place, but maybe we will, I don't know.
- 7:31Speaker 1: But the overall, like so Loofy leaves behind his compatriots
- 7:40Speaker 1: right and is looking around and he is just noting
- 7:46Speaker 1: that the place is really weird because the ground is
- 7:49Speaker 1: strange because it's not really ground. He looks up and
- 7:53Speaker 1: sees that wild tree and he's like, I bet if
- 7:56Speaker 1: I got to the top of that, then I could
- 7:58Speaker 1: see the entire island. So he uses his rubber skills
- 8:04Speaker 1: to try in a monkey bar his way all the
- 8:08Speaker 1: way over. While he's calling out for his friends that
- 8:11Speaker 1: he is looking for, wondering where they are. The camera
- 8:16Speaker 1: pans back and we go back to Carrot, who I
- 8:23Speaker 1: should mention guys. I we saw Carrot like a little
- 8:28Speaker 1: glimpse of her in the last arc when we had
- 8:32Speaker 1: just touched base with the crew here, and I thought
- 8:37Speaker 1: we were going to be getting a whole island of
- 8:42Speaker 1: rabbit people. I didn't think it was going to be
- 8:45Speaker 1: that there are all these different animal people. I thought
- 8:50Speaker 1: it was going to be all one type and that's
- 8:54Speaker 1: like the whole island is filled with rabbits, and that
- 8:57Speaker 1: it was going to kind of be like we'll do
- 8:59Speaker 1: a metaphor for the fact that they are prey animals
- 9:03Speaker 1: and so somebody is like taking advantage of them, you know,
- 9:07Speaker 1: that sort of thing, and instead we've got a little
- 9:11Speaker 1: bit more of like a Zootopia situation where it's all
- 9:15Speaker 1: different kinds of animals and there's not really any explanation
- 9:21Speaker 1: how they came to be. They're just a whole different
- 9:25Speaker 1: I was gonna say, a whole different race. But like
- 9:27Speaker 1: we find out later on that talking about it in
- 9:30Speaker 1: that way isn't really looked upon kindly. But I mean,
- 9:37Speaker 1: I think that's fair to say their physiology cannot possibly
- 9:41Speaker 1: be the same as ours when they grow fur and
- 9:47Speaker 1: their bodies are shaped totally differently, Like I'm so sorry,
- 9:51Speaker 1: but you're not human, You're just you're very clearly a
- 9:56Speaker 1: different thing. So all of them talking about like, oh,
- 10:01Speaker 1: well you're you're minx too, but you're lesser minx because
- 10:04Speaker 1: you have less fur on your body. I was just like, nah, man,
- 10:08Speaker 1: because every single one of these people could be covered
- 10:11Speaker 1: in fur and they would not look like an animal.
- 10:14Speaker 1: They would just look like people covered in fur. It
- 10:20Speaker 1: wouldn't be like, oh, that guy's clearly a lion, you
- 10:23Speaker 1: know what I mean. So I just was sort of like,
- 10:27Speaker 1: I get that you don't necessarily want to do the
- 10:30Speaker 1: like we're better or worse than you. And that's fine,
- 10:33Speaker 1: but like saying, oh, we're really the same thing is
- 10:37Speaker 1: just a lie. You don't have to be the same
- 10:39Speaker 1: to be equal. You can be very totally different. But
- 10:44Speaker 1: you're clearly like sentient beings who know what's going on
- 10:47Speaker 1: around you and have your ideas and you can build things,
- 10:50Speaker 1: and you know, like you have all the same skill set,
- 10:53Speaker 1: but you're not the same species. They're just not even
- 10:58Speaker 1: thank you saying I'd say they are different species, even
- 11:04Speaker 1: Seraphim says, and it's no odder than fishmen. I guess not.
- 11:11Speaker 1: But it feels odd because the fish like they're living
- 11:16Speaker 1: in a whole different what's the word I want, environment?
- 11:22Speaker 1: I guess you know, when you're underwater, everybody adapting to
- 11:25Speaker 1: living underwater the way that a lot of them look,
- 11:30Speaker 1: it's not really that they are distinctly a certain type
- 11:34Speaker 1: of fish. Every now and then you would get somebody
- 11:36Speaker 1: that you're like, like, ar along for example, like he's
- 11:40Speaker 1: got that swordfish thing going on, you know, But a
- 11:44Speaker 1: lot of the fishmen, it's just sort of he's got gills,
- 11:48Speaker 1: he's got weird skin or fins on the sides of
- 11:52Speaker 1: his head or whatever. They're not like distinctive types of
- 11:56Speaker 1: fish a lot, but these guys all look like distinct
- 12:00Speaker 1: to particular animals, and so I think that's where I'm
- 12:04Speaker 1: sort of what a weird you know? So anyway, we
- 12:13Speaker 1: have the whole like, oh, there's a situation in the
- 12:19Speaker 1: woods where an invader is there, and she's yelling this
- 12:24Speaker 1: up to the one on the back of the Uh,
- 12:27Speaker 1: what is his name? I keep thinking that she's saying horny,
- 12:30Speaker 1: and I really can't imagine that that's the name of
- 12:33Speaker 1: this animal, but I think maybe his name is Horny.
- 12:36Speaker 1: I kind of maybe I'm right about that. But she's
- 12:41Speaker 1: like worried about Loofy, And as we see later, there's
- 12:46Speaker 1: like a protocol that they're supposed to follow when they
- 12:49Speaker 1: come into this country because human beings are not really
- 12:52Speaker 1: meant to be here, and they didn't follow it. So
- 12:56Speaker 1: she knows that, like the guardians that are out in
- 12:59Speaker 1: the woods are going to they are not going to
- 13:01Speaker 1: look kindly on this, which also is funny in like
- 13:07Speaker 1: thinking about how she's just like different races were the same,
- 13:11Speaker 1: You're just like lesser minx. And then I'm like, okay,
- 13:14Speaker 1: but then why do you have this rule that like
- 13:17Speaker 1: humans can't be here? That feels like you guys are
- 13:21Speaker 1: also acknowledging that you're not the same thing. So this
- 13:28Speaker 1: uh sorry, there's so much chatter. Florence says, I think
- 13:34Speaker 1: they can procreate with humans though. That's how we got
- 13:36Speaker 1: people like Mary. I think that's interesting because you guys know,
- 13:44Speaker 1: the whole deal with Mary I found very very weird.
- 13:47Speaker 1: And we haven't met that many people who are part
- 13:50Speaker 1: animal part human, but we have met a couple. They
- 13:53Speaker 1: tend to be a lot more, I feel towards the
- 13:55Speaker 1: beginning of the series, because we had also that marine
- 13:59Speaker 1: that was like being bribed by our along who was
- 14:05Speaker 1: like partially a rat and otherwise I don't really remember
- 14:11Speaker 1: any I'm sure they're out there that those are just
- 14:14Speaker 1: the ones that I remember off the top of my
- 14:15Speaker 1: head because they're also in the live action, which jogged
- 14:18Speaker 1: my memory about it. But yeah, the whole thing with
- 14:23Speaker 1: Mary was really weird, and so for it to be like, oh,
- 14:26Speaker 1: I can interbreed with both, that would make sense that
- 14:32Speaker 1: maybe there was like a fully ram man and a
- 14:36Speaker 1: human woman or vice versa, and that's how we wound
- 14:39Speaker 1: up with this weirdo guy. That works okay, because I've
- 14:43Speaker 1: just been like questioning that a lot, and Saraphim says,
- 14:49Speaker 1: given mes and humans can most likely interpret it. I
- 14:52Speaker 1: think that was meant to be interbreed, like humans and fishmen,
- 14:55Speaker 1: they can't be different species. And Brenandette says Homo safety
- 15:00Speaker 1: and Homon Neanderthalis were also two different species and even
- 15:04Speaker 1: closer than humans and minx. Brenda did coming in here
- 15:09Speaker 1: with science facts, and Seraphim says, no, every fish man
- 15:13Speaker 1: is noted as being based on a specific type of fish.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Oh it never You know what, Why would I know that?
- 15:21Speaker 1: Because I don't know different types of fish really to
- 15:23Speaker 1: look at anyway, So I guess I shouldn't have even
- 15:26Speaker 1: made a guess. The gators are called Marnie. It's not
- 15:30Speaker 1: humans can't be on the island. It's just that specific
- 15:33Speaker 1: area is limited to is off limits to outsider, something
- 15:37Speaker 1: that's meant to say, okay, gotcha. So the way that
- 15:45Speaker 1: a lot of this goes like, I feel like I
- 15:48Speaker 1: can boil this down to Loofy is getting in fights
- 15:54Speaker 1: and dealing with these guardians while the rest of the
- 15:58Speaker 1: crew worries about him and wonders what the fuck is
- 16:01Speaker 1: going on? And that's like the whole two episodes really
- 16:06Speaker 1: if we're boiling it down, but like what they can
- 16:10Speaker 1: do here, Carrot jumps up in the air, and because
- 16:16Speaker 1: I am assuming she is a bunny type of creature,
- 16:20Speaker 1: she can jump really, really, really really fucking high. So
- 16:26Speaker 1: she is it looks to me like fifty yards in
- 16:32Speaker 1: the air, and she is looking around for any sign
- 16:36Speaker 1: of a fight to try and see what is like
- 16:39Speaker 1: where the ruckus is that Lufy is involved in, and
- 16:48Speaker 1: she sees this like cloud of dust being kicked up.
- 16:51Speaker 1: That's where he is fighting with somebody. Carrot drops down
- 16:56Speaker 1: and informs what is the name of this nommy dog?
- 17:03Speaker 1: Even though she's not nammy like she kind of is.
- 17:09Speaker 1: She turns to the rest of the crew and gives
- 17:13Speaker 1: them directions and says, if you turn left at the swamp,
- 17:18Speaker 1: you'll reach right flank. That's where you'll find your crew's corpse. Now, look,
- 17:30Speaker 1: there's a point later where they're like, maybe she was
- 17:32Speaker 1: lying to us. I assert that she's using the word
- 17:38Speaker 1: corpse differently than what they are thinking, because it's too
- 17:43Speaker 1: weird a thing to say corpse singular regarding a whole
- 17:48Speaker 1: crew of people. It doesn't work, and I don't think
- 17:53Speaker 1: that's a translation issue. I think that's like, that's a clue.
- 17:59Speaker 1: I do take great issue with the fact that she
- 18:05Speaker 1: must know what that sounds like and just takes off.
- 18:11Speaker 1: She's like, we'll handle this guy, and you guys go
- 18:15Speaker 1: to right flank and we will meet you there, and
- 18:17Speaker 1: then she just gallops away. Her name is Wanda. Okay,
- 18:23Speaker 1: thank you, Florian. Wanda. What the fuck? Why would you
- 18:33Speaker 1: say this? Why would you say this? And if I'm
- 18:36Speaker 1: trying to guess what she really means, you know, find
- 18:41Speaker 1: your crew's corpse. I would have guessed, if we hadn't
- 18:45Speaker 1: already seen the sonny, that maybe she was talking about
- 18:49Speaker 1: their ship. Then I was like, maybe it's like what
- 18:55Speaker 1: they call a structure and that's where there's But that
- 19:00Speaker 1: doesn't really work either. I do not have a good
- 19:05Speaker 1: answer for this at all. I'm just not taking it
- 19:11Speaker 1: the way that everybody else is. And I'm not blaming
- 19:13Speaker 1: them for taking it the way that they do, because frankly,
- 19:17Speaker 1: how else would you take it if you were actually
- 19:20Speaker 1: in their shoes? But I know that everybody's not dead,
- 19:25Speaker 1: So I'm just like, what way? What? So this? Uh?
- 19:34Speaker 1: When she leaves them behind, they have to theorize about
- 19:38Speaker 1: what the hell she meant by that, And this is
- 19:43Speaker 1: this is a lot of Oosop panic TMTMTM. He is
- 19:49Speaker 1: just freaking out the way that he does. And like
- 19:54Speaker 1: at one point, Robin just mentions offhand that maybe they're cannibals,
- 19:59Speaker 1: and he he absolutely latches on to this idea and
- 20:04Speaker 1: will not let it go. And it's just like, oh
- 20:06Speaker 1: my god, oh my god, cannibals, that's what it is.
- 20:09Speaker 1: He's being eaten. And later on he like gets a
- 20:12Speaker 1: look at them through some binoculars or something and Lufy
- 20:16Speaker 1: is indeed being like nibbled at by the carrot girl
- 20:21Speaker 1: and he so it just feeds right into SAP's idea
- 20:26Speaker 1: that like we're being going to we're being prepared to
- 20:32Speaker 1: be eaten. You know. This was so it's like the
- 20:38Speaker 1: sort of thing that I feel I would find more
- 20:42Speaker 1: annoying if it, like, if it weren't for how this
- 20:52Speaker 1: the Wanda fucked with them in the way that she
- 20:55Speaker 1: said this so purposefully that I can't blame oos Up
- 21:00Speaker 1: for reacting the way that he's reacting. It's just, you
- 21:06Speaker 1: know what I mean, what it really is for me,
- 21:10Speaker 1: I think is that I know the way that usup overreacts,
- 21:15Speaker 1: and I want Wanda to factor that in even though
- 21:18Speaker 1: she does not know him. Why would she? But I
- 21:20Speaker 1: want her to be like girl, I want to say
- 21:24Speaker 1: to her, bro freaks out over everything. Can you just
- 21:28Speaker 1: explain this a little further so that we don't have
- 21:30Speaker 1: to hear him losing his mind? You are feeding into
- 21:34Speaker 1: a tendency towards drama with him that isn't healthy or
- 21:38Speaker 1: helpful to anyone. I would appreciate it if you would
- 21:41Speaker 1: just take the time to talk him off the ledge
- 21:44Speaker 1: before you sail away into the sunset with your friend here.
- 21:50Speaker 1: So and the repeated bit of Robin just like casually
- 21:55Speaker 1: saying maybe they're cannibals, I will say also, I find
- 21:59Speaker 1: very very funny. It's just like, I'm so sorry, but
- 22:06Speaker 1: it's genuinely I wish so much that the translation did
- 22:12Speaker 1: Robin Moore favors, because every now and then that side
- 22:16Speaker 1: of her that you guys talk about with her really
- 22:19Speaker 1: dark sense of humor does come out, and I get
- 22:25Speaker 1: where they're going with her character. It's just that they
- 22:29Speaker 1: don't often succeed in the dub and it makes me
- 22:32Speaker 1: feel like, oh, what could have been? What maybe this
- 22:35Speaker 1: could have looked like, you know, but she doesn't care
- 22:42Speaker 1: one little bit about the fact that she is also
- 22:45Speaker 1: feeding into usup's panicked state. And maybe I can't expect
- 22:50Speaker 1: Wanda to know better, but I fucking can expect Robin
- 22:53Speaker 1: to know better. So Robin, please, ma'am read the room,
- 22:58Speaker 1: stop it, stop fucking him. It feels like she's fucking
- 23:01Speaker 1: with him on purpose, and I don't actually think she is,
- 23:03Speaker 1: but it would be kind of funny if she did.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Ooh Seraphim says, it's more oda puneri Wan is the
- 23:10Speaker 1: Japanese on a monopea for a dog, spark on a
- 23:14Speaker 1: monopea's for animal. Sounds are insane across the world, the
- 23:18Speaker 1: ways that we have decided things sound, it's it's very
- 23:23Speaker 1: funny like and even in English we've got wolf, but
- 23:28Speaker 1: we also have bow wow, which I always as a
- 23:32Speaker 1: kid was just like bow wow. Who has ever heard
- 23:38Speaker 1: a dog and thought that sounded like bow wow? Where's
- 23:43Speaker 1: the buch sound even coming from? They don't do that
- 23:46Speaker 1: with their lips. Woolf sure got that woof makes sense.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Wan close enough to woof, absolutely, but bow wow is nothing.
- 23:56Speaker 1: That's nonsense. Oh Seraphim says, did she not care or
- 24:03Speaker 1: is she low key trolling him? In Floren says, I
- 24:05Speaker 1: think Robin is fucking with Oosop on purpose. Okay, So
- 24:08Speaker 1: I was saying, like I kind of would like that.
- 24:10Speaker 1: I wasn't really getting that in the scene, but like
- 24:13Speaker 1: I do prefer to think that, so I'll go with it. Yeah,
- 24:16Speaker 1: let's do it. So Wanda is uh running after Lufy
- 24:25Speaker 1: with carrot because she knows that the Guardians are not
- 24:28Speaker 1: going to show him any mercy since he has gone
- 24:30Speaker 1: into the like whale forest or whatever it's called. And
- 24:38Speaker 1: Robin is like trying to comfort Usop by saying, well,
- 24:42Speaker 1: they probably weren't eaten because she said that there was
- 24:45Speaker 1: a corpse, so if they ate them, then there wouldn't
- 24:49Speaker 1: be a corpse. So that's not it. And I just
- 24:53Speaker 1: can't get enough of this, like theorizing out loud and
- 24:57Speaker 1: the cold bloodedness of it. I can this way myself
- 25:02Speaker 1: just saying shit out loud and realizing like a moment later,
- 25:06Speaker 1: oh that was a little bit too. That was a
- 25:10Speaker 1: little bit heartless, Natasha. So we have a lot of
- 25:17Speaker 1: like I said, us up just flipping the fuck out.
- 25:20Speaker 1: We go back to Loofy and he is fighting two
- 25:24Speaker 1: different dudes, one of whom looks like a gorilla and
- 25:28Speaker 1: the other looks like a bull. I think the bull
- 25:33Speaker 1: is named Roddy, is that right. I can't remember the
- 25:39Speaker 1: name of the gorilla guy though. And the it's not
- 25:45Speaker 1: just the bull, it's also some of the other guards
- 25:49Speaker 1: that they meet outside of the gates to the city.
- 25:55Speaker 1: They seem to have like electric powers. And I was
- 26:02Speaker 1: just kind of like trying to figure this out because
- 26:06Speaker 1: the electric powers, it's not this is clearly not like
- 26:10Speaker 1: a devil fruit saying, because it seems like all of
- 26:13Speaker 1: them have this, So I don't know if it's like
- 26:17Speaker 1: a tool that is distributed amongst them all, or if
- 26:20Speaker 1: it's all minks just have this power. It's just a
- 26:28Speaker 1: really the way that this works, it doesn't obviously affect
- 26:36Speaker 1: Loofy one little bit because he is rubber. So they
- 26:42Speaker 1: are very surprised because they expected the attack that they
- 26:45Speaker 1: just levied on him to really fucking like flatten him,
- 26:48Speaker 1: and he's still standing there, absolutely fucking fine. So him
- 26:53Speaker 1: and the bull keep crashing and they actually are butting
- 26:57Speaker 1: heads against each other, which, if I'm being honest, as
- 27:01Speaker 1: much as like it's silly that they are butting heads. Literally,
- 27:08Speaker 1: I don't think there's anybody on the crew that I
- 27:11Speaker 1: think is going to have a harder head than Loofy, Right,
- 27:20Speaker 1: I mean right, I feel like that's it. He's the
- 27:26Speaker 1: one if you're gonna pick somebody who's got the thickest,
- 27:29Speaker 1: most durable skull. Now I know that he's using hockey here,
- 27:34Speaker 1: but like I'm taking that out of the equation. I'm
- 27:36Speaker 1: not factoring that. I'm just talking pure skull strength. And
- 27:41Speaker 1: I think it would be either Loofy. One could say
- 27:48Speaker 1: Brook because he's all bone and he's already dead, so
- 27:54Speaker 1: even if you did damage on him, it's probably not
- 27:57Speaker 1: really anything. I would all say Zorro because that is
- 28:03Speaker 1: like a very stubborn man, but he's stubborn in like
- 28:07Speaker 1: a different way. I don't know. So yeah, I think
- 28:11Speaker 1: my money is on movie there as well. Bernadette is
- 28:14Speaker 1: asking about Frankie. That's fair because he is literally metal.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Does that count though, like if he's actually physically made
- 28:25Speaker 1: of something different, I don't know. His head has to
- 28:28Speaker 1: be made out of something different because he like changes
- 28:31Speaker 1: his hair up and stuff, so he's essentially a cyborg entirely.
- 28:39Speaker 1: And yeah, right, so I think his skull has got
- 28:45Speaker 1: to have been straight up replaced with some other moving
- 28:48Speaker 1: parts type stuff. So I don't know if he really
- 28:51Speaker 1: strictly counts, but if we're gonna just say, you know,
- 28:57Speaker 1: performance wise, then sure he would probably beat Loofy. Even
- 29:04Speaker 1: Sarahim says, gorilla is black back play on silverback. Gorilla
- 29:07Speaker 1: or bebe black back feels like the kind of thing
- 29:12Speaker 1: that I will mess up saying it. It's like unique
- 29:15Speaker 1: New York. So I'm gonna go with bebe. So everybody,
- 29:18Speaker 1: when you hear me say bbe this, I'm talking about
- 29:20Speaker 1: our gorilla friend for the mink electricity power. All that
- 29:24Speaker 1: fur lets them build up static electricity. Oh come now, okay, sure,
- 29:31Speaker 1: why not? Oh boy? So anyway, they are in the
- 29:40Speaker 1: midst of this pretty serious fight. Lufy is doing his
- 29:43Speaker 1: best to like back his head all the way up
- 29:46Speaker 1: on his rubber neck twenty feet away to bash into
- 29:49Speaker 1: this dude as hard as he can. And then this
- 29:52Speaker 1: fight gets interrupted by Trafalgar's friend, the bear, who I
- 30:01Speaker 1: cannot remember his name. Guys, and I keep wanting to
- 30:03Speaker 1: just say boo boo, but I don't think that's it.
- 30:08Speaker 1: But it's really funny because he at first is irritated
- 30:13Speaker 1: that Loofy doesn't recognize him because he in Trafalgar helped
- 30:19Speaker 1: to nurse Loofy back to health after he got his
- 30:22Speaker 1: fucking heart almost ripped out. But Lufy does recognize him,
- 30:29Speaker 1: he just needs his memory jogged for a sec. And
- 30:35Speaker 1: the oh friend Florine is like, Sarah him, that's a spoiler,
- 30:41Speaker 1: all right, it's not my fault. But later on, Lofy
- 30:46Speaker 1: is talking about Traffy and BEPO, I think you're right,
- 30:52Speaker 1: Bernadette Beppo doesn't know what Traffy means and keeps being like,
- 30:59Speaker 1: who are you talking about? And eventually Lufy is like,
- 31:04Speaker 1: that's what I called Trafalgar, and he's like, oh, you
- 31:09Speaker 1: really didn't make that clear. And it was the kind
- 31:12Speaker 1: of joke that like I was laughing because of how
- 31:17Speaker 1: like irritated he was by it, But I also was like,
- 31:20Speaker 1: if you could not figure that out from context, Beppo,
- 31:23Speaker 1: I cannot imagine Lufy's the only man to have ever
- 31:26Speaker 1: called Trafalgar trafvy. But yeah, it's uh. I it was
- 31:33Speaker 1: just funny that he gets so mad, just like I
- 31:35Speaker 1: don't know what you're talking about him, like you should though,
- 31:39Speaker 1: you should put two and two together, for God's sake,
- 31:41Speaker 1: come on, and this whole fight, like the way that
- 31:46Speaker 1: they get it to stop because Beba's trying to intervene
- 31:48Speaker 1: and just be like, this is a dude that I know,
- 31:51Speaker 1: he's a friend, please stop, And Roddy isn't interested in stopping.
- 31:57Speaker 1: This was reminding me a little bit of him. I
- 32:01Speaker 1: recently watched The Accountant with Ben Affleck and then the
- 32:05Speaker 1: second one The Accountant too, and the like the bit
- 32:14Speaker 1: in this movie which is like definitely problematic is that
- 32:19Speaker 1: Ben Affleck's character is autistic and that he has like
- 32:25Speaker 1: weaponized that or not even that he has that his
- 32:28Speaker 1: dad has, but he has this thing that he he
- 32:34Speaker 1: cannot handle when something isn't finished. You know, it's like
- 32:38Speaker 1: a compulsion, which I really understand. It's not obviously at
- 32:44Speaker 1: the level for him that it is like I don't
- 32:47Speaker 1: have this, but I understand that feeling of like it is.
- 32:52Speaker 1: You know, if you start something and you can't quite
- 32:54Speaker 1: finish it, it just gets under your skin and bothers you.
- 32:58Speaker 1: And so there's like multiple time where he's on a
- 33:00Speaker 1: job and he's supposed to kind of pull back because
- 33:04Speaker 1: they get new information and they realize they can't actually
- 33:08Speaker 1: carry things out like this, and he's just essentially like,
- 33:12Speaker 1: I am so sorry, but I can't pull back. I am,
- 33:16Speaker 1: I'm here doing it. It's too late. If you didn't
- 33:21Speaker 1: want it, not my problem, it's happening. And that was
- 33:25Speaker 1: sort of what I felt was coming off of Roddy
- 33:28Speaker 1: a little bit. It's just like, I'm in the fight.
- 33:31Speaker 1: I don't know what to tell you all. Wait till
- 33:34Speaker 1: it's over, I guess. And Bepo finally like chucks a
- 33:42Speaker 1: or is it Bepo and maybe it's one of his
- 33:43Speaker 1: friends chucks a banana into the mix, and because it's
- 33:48Speaker 1: not even like Roddy wants the banana, it's that they
- 33:53Speaker 1: throw the banana in front of Roddy so that Babe
- 33:58Speaker 1: will jump in and try and grab it out of
- 34:01Speaker 1: the air and interrupt the whole fight. And it's pretty funny. Actually,
- 34:09Speaker 1: I am always a fan of there being like one
- 34:14Speaker 1: particular food that somebody is kryptonite that they can't like,
- 34:18Speaker 1: you know what I mean. It's just very relatable, I'm
- 34:21Speaker 1: just saying. And he looks so happy, like after this
- 34:25Speaker 1: whole thing falls apart and they're all just standing there,
- 34:29Speaker 1: sweating and panting, Babe is sitting there with his banana,
- 34:33Speaker 1: looking like the world is okay. He's not bothered at
- 34:36Speaker 1: all by the fact that he came into the midst
- 34:38Speaker 1: of this and fucked it up for everybody, And I
- 34:41Speaker 1: love that for him. He is one hundred percent on
- 34:45Speaker 1: his business with this banana. So I find it funny. Guys.
- 34:49Speaker 1: I'm watching this, like you know, as I talk about it.
- 34:52Speaker 1: I scrub through the episode and I want to make
- 34:54Speaker 1: sure I don't miss things. This is the point where
- 34:58Speaker 1: Wanda and Carrot Land and we get their title cards.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Carrot a rabbit Mink, Wanda a dog Mink show. I
- 35:13Speaker 1: don't know how to tell you this. It's too damn
- 35:16Speaker 1: late to be introducing these two. This needed to have
- 35:20Speaker 1: been done way earlier than this, at the beginning of
- 35:24Speaker 1: the end. Why would you do it now? Why would
- 35:27Speaker 1: you do it now? It's a weird choice, that's all
- 35:31Speaker 1: I'm saying. Normally this show, people's title cards get shown
- 35:35Speaker 1: as soon as they turn up, and this is just weird.
- 35:39Speaker 1: I didn't even notice this the first time. And let's see,
- 35:47Speaker 1: there's a dude named Pedro who he like, pops up
- 35:52Speaker 1: and signals to everybody and says everybody get out, and
- 35:58Speaker 1: Loofy is left sitting there and there's like a blur
- 36:02Speaker 1: of motion and it makes it clear that like a
- 36:08Speaker 1: ton of them were hidden around and he didn't even
- 36:11Speaker 1: see them. He says, I didn't even notice they were here.
- 36:18Speaker 1: And then we have Wanda and Carrot with their eyes
- 36:23Speaker 1: like glowing the way that like light will off of
- 36:27Speaker 1: a nocturnal beast size. Be grateful you Tea didn't encounter
- 36:33Speaker 1: them on a moonlit night, which there is something about
- 36:40Speaker 1: this that feels like it's hinting towards like a werewolf thing,
- 36:45Speaker 1: but they are already animal creatures, so I don't really
- 36:49Speaker 1: get this. I'm wondering if it's like they just revert
- 36:53Speaker 1: to holy animal behavior when you know, what I'm saying,
- 36:59Speaker 1: like is that it I just don't know what that
- 37:06Speaker 1: could mean. And she says this like, be grateful you
- 37:11Speaker 1: didn't encounter them, but she doesn't really include herself or
- 37:16Speaker 1: Carrot in this, even though her and cart are also
- 37:21Speaker 1: looking pretty threatening at the moment. So I don't know
- 37:25Speaker 1: if that's just like an you know, it's just the
- 37:28Speaker 1: manner of speech that she chose here, or why she
- 37:34Speaker 1: phrased it that way. But I found it confusing, and
- 37:39Speaker 1: I'm interested to see what we're getting out of this
- 37:41Speaker 1: a little bit later on. So then we go back
- 37:46Speaker 1: to the rest of the straw Hats and they have
- 37:49Speaker 1: gotten to Corrause City, And it's so funny because the
- 37:54Speaker 1: world that these these characters live in, they're at this
- 37:59Speaker 1: city and they're looking around, and Robin says, no doubt
- 38:07Speaker 1: about it, this city was attacked, and I think that
- 38:17Speaker 1: she's right, you know, based on how this world works.
- 38:26Speaker 1: But also if I were looking at this same landscape
- 38:31Speaker 1: and the way it's like, I would think that this
- 38:35Speaker 1: was an earthquake or even just the result of building
- 38:40Speaker 1: a city on the back of a moving creature. Maybe
- 38:44Speaker 1: this just happens because it's unstable, inherently very unstable. It
- 38:50Speaker 1: is sort of weird, how like it's difficult to run
- 38:55Speaker 1: and walk on the elephant's skin, but a pair apparently
- 39:00Speaker 1: like we can build stuff on it and that's not
- 39:03Speaker 1: really a problem and doesn't move around. But anyway, this
- 39:09Speaker 1: whole city looks like it should be full of people,
- 39:16Speaker 1: as she puts it, like hundreds of thousands should be
- 39:19Speaker 1: able to live here. Us Up is freaking out that
- 39:23Speaker 1: they should go, but they need to investigate, so they
- 39:27Speaker 1: start looking around. Robin comes across a little area that's
- 39:31Speaker 1: obviously still being lived in currently. There's like a pot
- 39:35Speaker 1: of soup on the stove that's still hot, and they
- 39:40Speaker 1: come across. It's sort of odd, guys, because correct me
- 39:44Speaker 1: if I'm wrong. Here. There's I don't want to call
- 39:50Speaker 1: them stocks, but there's like those wooden x's that I
- 39:54Speaker 1: now just associate Holly with S and M. But they're
- 39:58Speaker 1: in the center of the town with the you know,
- 40:01Speaker 1: manacles for urris and ankles, and there is blood on
- 40:05Speaker 1: the all over the wood and Zorro is looking at it,
- 40:12Speaker 1: going what is this some kind of torture device? And
- 40:16Speaker 1: I was like, Zorrow, do you not remember your own
- 40:20Speaker 1: origin story? Like it just felt like it resembled so
- 40:24Speaker 1: strongly the way that he was strung up and left
- 40:29Speaker 1: out that I really thought he was immediately gonna recognize
- 40:33Speaker 1: it and be like, ah, this is bringing up some
- 40:36Speaker 1: unpleasant memories. And no, instead he's just like the fuck
- 40:40Speaker 1: is this? And I was like, I feel like you
- 40:42Speaker 1: should really know that. I don't feel like this should
- 40:44Speaker 1: be weird to you. There's also some huge gouge marks
- 40:50Speaker 1: that look like claws in the sides of a couple
- 40:53Speaker 1: of the buildings, and this is what, you know, like
- 40:57Speaker 1: they're thinking, oh, maybe the animal creatures got attacked by
- 41:00Speaker 1: something by like people or something, but this is making
- 41:05Speaker 1: it look like it was an animal that attacked the
- 41:08Speaker 1: place itself. And there is also a huge impression in
- 41:16Speaker 1: the ground that looks like a footprint. It looks like
- 41:22Speaker 1: a big it's a round footprint as well, which understandably
- 41:28Speaker 1: I think they say, maybe that's another elephant. I really
- 41:33Speaker 1: couldn't think what else would leave a footprint that shape
- 41:37Speaker 1: except for maybe a machine. It might not even have
- 41:39Speaker 1: been afoot, it might be something else, you know. I
- 41:43Speaker 1: don't know if they find anymore. It seems like they
- 41:45Speaker 1: see this one singular impression and they zero went on that.
- 41:50Speaker 1: But I don't know if there's like a series of
- 41:52Speaker 1: them that points to it being something that moves, like
- 42:01Speaker 1: in other words, could something have just dropped in this
- 42:03Speaker 1: one spot and that's it, or is there something that
- 42:07Speaker 1: was like moving across the landscape and leaving prints like this.
- 42:12Speaker 1: So we go to Wanda and she is talking about
- 42:18Speaker 1: the history of the place. It's called the Macomo Dukedom.
- 42:23Speaker 1: It goes back centuries only a month and a half ago.
- 42:26Speaker 1: I could still see everyone's smiling faces, and we pan
- 42:32Speaker 1: across to all the animals looking very grieved, and we
- 42:36Speaker 1: see the uh like kind of weird bits of flashback,
- 42:41Speaker 1: but there's nothing concrete. And she says, the name of
- 42:44Speaker 1: the man who caused all of this suffering is Jack.
- 42:48Speaker 1: And she just says Jack, which felt like it wasn't
- 42:53Speaker 1: enough to me when I was watching it, I almost snorted,
- 42:56Speaker 1: because Jack, it's just like, that's it, that's all you got.
- 42:59Speaker 1: And then in the next episode, when they do the
- 43:01Speaker 1: little like recap, she gives a last name. They quote
- 43:07Speaker 1: this moment, but that's not what it was what she
- 43:11Speaker 1: actually said anyway. This is when the ground begins to shake,
- 43:19Speaker 1: and we are about to get a water moment, a
- 43:24Speaker 1: rain eruption as they call them, which does indeed prove
- 43:29Speaker 1: to be the trunk of the elephant pouring water on
- 43:34Speaker 1: its back because it is bathing itself. And they have
- 43:39Speaker 1: figured out a way to make this work for them
- 43:42Speaker 1: where the water gets filtered and turned into safe, clean
- 43:48Speaker 1: drinking water, and there's fish in the water, so they
- 43:54Speaker 1: wind up with food to eat as well. They don't
- 43:56Speaker 1: have to worry about protein because that fish is is
- 44:01Speaker 1: ready and uh and alive and still kicking and apparently
- 44:06Speaker 1: can survive like up here for a little while. It's
- 44:11Speaker 1: a very neat little system. I thought that was kind
- 44:17Speaker 1: of a fun idea, And it's just a shame at
- 44:23Speaker 1: the way that everybody periodically just has to get the
- 44:26Speaker 1: fuck up out of the way, because I'm imagining this
- 44:30Speaker 1: isn't the sort of thing that happens like at the
- 44:31Speaker 1: same time every day. It may be on a bit
- 44:35Speaker 1: of a schedule, like just because oh, at three o'clock,
- 44:39Speaker 1: that's the hottest time of day, and so the elephant
- 44:42Speaker 1: cools itself down when it's hottest, and so that tends
- 44:47Speaker 1: to be around this point. But like I could see
- 44:50Speaker 1: that this might be not predictable at all, which would
- 44:54Speaker 1: be a real pain in the ass considering that you
- 44:59Speaker 1: could get away, considering how much water there is. Like
- 45:02Speaker 1: it's a pretty serious thing happening, you know what I'm saying.
- 45:06Speaker 1: So anyway, this uh, of course results in Loofy getting
- 45:13Speaker 1: swept off the back of the crocodile, alligator or whatever,
- 45:18Speaker 1: and you know, he can't swim, so they have to
- 45:21Speaker 1: rescue him. We also briefly jump over to Conjureau and Kinemon,
- 45:29Speaker 1: who are once again on the back of one of
- 45:31Speaker 1: these paper animals climbing the side. It's a cat this time.
- 45:36Speaker 1: I really hate this, guys, I really hate this. I
- 45:40Speaker 1: get that it's supposed to be funny, but it's not funny.
- 45:44Speaker 1: I just hate it. It makes me sad. Okay, it
- 45:50Speaker 1: just bums me out, friends, I don't like watching it.
- 45:56Speaker 1: I was just relieved when we go away from this,
- 46:01Speaker 1: and I like, we don't linger on it the way
- 46:04Speaker 1: that I was thinking we might, and I because I
- 46:06Speaker 1: didn't want to see it. I just didn't want to.
- 46:11Speaker 1: So they let's see. Yeah, the water comes down and
- 46:19Speaker 1: let's see. I understand swift action must be necessary, but
- 46:23Speaker 1: what can be done from such a height? And the
- 46:25Speaker 1: water hits them and the poor cat gets pushed back,
- 46:30Speaker 1: and it's just a nightmare for all of them. Loofy meanwhile,
- 46:36Speaker 1: unshaken by the fact that he was almost washed away,
- 46:39Speaker 1: it's just like, oh wow, that was really some rain, huh,
- 46:43Speaker 1: And they have to explain to him about what this
- 46:45Speaker 1: water actually is. Meanwhile, the rest of the straw Hats
- 46:48Speaker 1: are starting to put this together on their end because
- 46:51Speaker 1: they can taste that this is salt water, this is
- 46:54Speaker 1: not regular rain. And we get Wanda again with her
- 47:01Speaker 1: like impassioned looking at the sky while tears brim in
- 47:07Speaker 1: her eyes. And there's somebody named dog Storm that was
- 47:14Speaker 1: apparently being beaten that she's remembering. That's what the uh
- 47:20Speaker 1: what do you call him? The subtitles are saying, and
- 47:24Speaker 1: then the sky Jack yelling bring him to me, or
- 47:27Speaker 1: I'll destroy the whole country dog Storm. I've never met
- 47:31Speaker 1: this person that Ugara speak of. I'm not sure what
- 47:35Speaker 1: the deal is with it, because he says Ugara, and
- 47:38Speaker 1: she earlier says like she says something you with an
- 47:43Speaker 1: extra syllable or two at the end as well. And
- 47:46Speaker 1: I don't know if this is supposed to be like
- 47:49Speaker 1: an honorific or if this is supposed to be a
- 47:53Speaker 1: peculiarity of them being like dog people and this sort
- 47:57Speaker 1: of being a joke about the way a dog would talk.
- 48:01Speaker 1: But either way it was, it kept confusing me, and
- 48:04Speaker 1: I was just like, wait a second, what, Oh, no,
- 48:06Speaker 1: I think that's just I'm not really meant to pay
- 48:08Speaker 1: attention to it, but yeah, this is the kind of
- 48:13Speaker 1: thing that it's so weird where she's trying to like
- 48:21Speaker 1: impress upon Loofy the depth of whatever it is that
- 48:25Speaker 1: they just went through. But she doesn't actually want to
- 48:30Speaker 1: share in any real information beyond this guy's name. When
- 48:36Speaker 1: she said, he asked later like, what did you say
- 48:39Speaker 1: his name was? Again, she again just says it's Jack,
- 48:42Speaker 1: and I was like, come on, earlier on she said
- 48:44Speaker 1: his last name in the like flashback thing. But and
- 48:48Speaker 1: then she says, I saw his obituary in the newspaper
- 48:51Speaker 1: a few days ago. After wreaking havoc here, he left
- 48:57Speaker 1: and apparently attacked four navy vest is transporting Do Flamingo
- 49:01Speaker 1: to impel down. He was able to sink two of
- 49:05Speaker 1: them in the battle, but in the end he was defeated,
- 49:10Speaker 1: and one of the ships he attacked had an admiral
- 49:14Speaker 1: and the former fleet admiral on board. Jack certainly seems
- 49:18Speaker 1: to have a screw loose, which I always think it's
- 49:21Speaker 1: funny when there's like that kind of idiom used in this.
- 49:25Speaker 1: The article said his body wasn't recovered, he's likely still alive,
- 49:30Speaker 1: and I was so relieved that she's just like, the
- 49:34Speaker 1: fuck he's dead, get the hell out of my face.
- 49:37Speaker 1: Of course, he's not like the idea that they would
- 49:43Speaker 1: even print an obituary this man, like you jump in
- 49:47Speaker 1: the gun. This is wishful thinking, all of you who
- 49:50Speaker 1: are doing this. So, like I said, we're just getting
- 49:56Speaker 1: lots of like bits and pieces here. But it just
- 50:01Speaker 1: this kind of storytelling can really bug me because it's
- 50:07Speaker 1: not as if we're doing anything else. You know, we've
- 50:10Speaker 1: gotten interrupted, yes, by the rainstorm, and you know, just
- 50:18Speaker 1: like other things happening, But overall, there really is no
- 50:23Speaker 1: good reason why she can't just be like this. This
- 50:28Speaker 1: is when he showed up, this is what he did,
- 50:32Speaker 1: this is who he hurt, this is why he did it,
- 50:34Speaker 1: and then he went and you know, she's just saying
- 50:36Speaker 1: things in a kind of disjointed way that I'm certain
- 50:40Speaker 1: isn't really the whole story. And I just want a
- 50:46Speaker 1: straight narrative here. And it feels like, are you just
- 50:52Speaker 1: being a dramatic bitch right now? It feels like you're
- 50:54Speaker 1: just being a dramatic bitch right now, because yeah, the
- 50:57Speaker 1: fact that she keeps like thinking about storms specifically, and
- 51:02Speaker 1: you know, there's obviously there was something specific happening there.
- 51:06Speaker 1: So they pick up speed and they finally get to
- 51:11Speaker 1: the area with the gates to get into the community.
- 51:18Speaker 1: I love the fact that Lucia says, I thought this
- 51:20Speaker 1: was the bright flank, why is it foggy? And she's like,
- 51:22Speaker 1: it's the right flank. But there are two guards outside,
- 51:28Speaker 1: one of whom looks like a horse and the other
- 51:32Speaker 1: one who looks like a lion, and the both of
- 51:36Speaker 1: them are spoiling for a fight. Clearly. Oh no, I
- 51:40Speaker 1: guess he isn't a horse. I think maybe he is
- 51:42Speaker 1: meant to be a goat, because he's got like two horns,
- 51:47Speaker 1: so there's something very horse like. I think about his
- 51:51Speaker 1: face more so than go like, But that's just my opinion.
- 51:56Speaker 1: And she has to explain to them, these guys are
- 51:59Speaker 1: our friends. They didn't understand about the welcoming bell, and
- 52:03Speaker 1: you need to go in there and deliver the message
- 52:05Speaker 1: that the straw Hat pirates have arrived. And both of
- 52:08Speaker 1: them immediately their whole demeanor changes when they hear her
- 52:11Speaker 1: say that, and are just like, oh shit, is that
- 52:13Speaker 1: who they are? Let me go inside the building on
- 52:20Speaker 1: the interior of the fortress, and there's this dude, I
- 52:24Speaker 1: think it's he's named Yomo, and he is a little
- 52:29Speaker 1: I say little. He is a very giant actually sheep dude.
- 52:34Speaker 1: He's got a black face, white fur, and Nami is
- 52:39Speaker 1: napping on his tummy looking comfortable a f wearing a
- 52:44Speaker 1: whole gown with like jewelry, and Chopper also has like
- 52:50Speaker 1: a floor length pink fur trimmed cape thing and a
- 52:56Speaker 1: crown with pearls hanging off it. Like the two of
- 53:03Speaker 1: them are just decked out, and it's obvious that they
- 53:06Speaker 1: are being paid all kinds of honors, and like Nami's
- 53:10Speaker 1: whole look, it's just awesome. I really enjoy it because
- 53:13Speaker 1: first of all, her dress laces up the side. It's
- 53:16Speaker 1: really very much giving, like early early two thousands, and
- 53:21Speaker 1: she's got pearls and beads draped over her head and
- 53:26Speaker 1: her shoulders and everything. And then we cut to well,
- 53:31Speaker 1: Chopper comes in tells her the rest of the crew
- 53:34Speaker 1: is here. They finally found us. She's like, oh shit, awesome,
- 53:37Speaker 1: and they run out to meet them. Meanwhile, the rest
- 53:40Speaker 1: of the crew is being greeted by all of the
- 53:44Speaker 1: citizens and they are living in these rad little apartments
- 53:48Speaker 1: that look like pineapples. It's a very SpongeBob esque sort
- 53:52Speaker 1: of situation. There's also tucked in amongst the pineapples, what
- 53:56Speaker 1: looks like a wrecked pirate ship that's like run aground.
- 54:00Speaker 1: It looks awesome, It looks really really cool, But the
- 54:06Speaker 1: whole look of this place is it's surprising because like
- 54:12Speaker 1: the pineapple thing, I don't know if they're built to
- 54:15Speaker 1: just look this way or if those are actual giant
- 54:18Speaker 1: pineapples that they like hollowed out. But anyway, this is
- 54:25Speaker 1: the point when the conversation happens between Zoro and Wanda
- 54:29Speaker 1: about being different specie or not being different races at all.
- 54:33Speaker 1: She like flirts very very strongly with Loofy and licks
- 54:38Speaker 1: his face and says how lesser minks definitely have their
- 54:44Speaker 1: charms as well, because they're very rare here, And like,
- 54:50Speaker 1: I could not stop laughing because she's like trying to
- 54:54Speaker 1: flirt with the wrong guy. Like I don't know if
- 54:58Speaker 1: Lufy even gets what's happening. It just feels like you're
- 55:01Speaker 1: flirting with a child. Don't do it. I don't think
- 55:05Speaker 1: there's anybody in this crew that I feel would react
- 55:08Speaker 1: better except for maybe Soanji, and I have to assume
- 55:14Speaker 1: Sanji would react just to the boobs, even if she
- 55:17Speaker 1: is a dog woman. I think he'd probably be fine.
- 55:22Speaker 1: You know, if he's okay with a mermaid, I feel
- 55:25Speaker 1: like a dog woman, it's also fine. But otherwise I
- 55:29Speaker 1: don't know who would really be like super receptive to this.
- 55:33Speaker 1: I feel like they mostly be kind of weirded out,
- 55:35Speaker 1: but maybe I'm wrong. And this is when Nami comes
- 55:41Speaker 1: running out and she is trying to greet her friends,
- 55:44Speaker 1: and she gets stopped by all of these other minks
- 55:48Speaker 1: who are so excited and delighted to see her that
- 55:50Speaker 1: they just like rub up against her and are showing
- 55:54Speaker 1: her so much affection and aren't letting her pass to
- 55:58Speaker 1: like actually get to the people that she's here for,
- 56:01Speaker 1: and she finally has to shove them off so that
- 56:04Speaker 1: she can get to them. Chopper, meanwhile, is so little
- 56:07Speaker 1: that he's able to squeeze through and he is just
- 56:10Speaker 1: very excitedly greeting them. And I'm so glad to see Chopper.
- 56:13Speaker 1: I really miss this little guy, and I love this
- 56:17Speaker 1: pink coat that he is wearing and kind of want
- 56:20Speaker 1: to like get a mini pink coat to put on
- 56:23Speaker 1: my little old stuffy behind me, get some pearls and
- 56:27Speaker 1: make a little adorable crown. I think that'd be pretty fun.
- 56:33Speaker 1: But yeah, this is when he says, so, Sanji, Brooke
- 56:36Speaker 1: and Momo are here too, right, and Nami jumps into
- 56:41Speaker 1: his arms and hugs them, and then she says I'm
- 56:45Speaker 1: sorry and finishes not by like explaining everybody. She just
- 56:53Speaker 1: says Sangy's gone, which I thought was sort of weird
- 56:58Speaker 1: that it's like no mention of Brooke or Momo, And
- 57:04Speaker 1: I don't know why they're not included in this unless,
- 57:07Speaker 1: like the way that they got separated from everybody is
- 57:10Speaker 1: different from Sanji. Obviously, the way that she says Sanji's
- 57:17Speaker 1: gone is supposed to hit like he died, but I
- 57:24Speaker 1: don't think there's a soul on earth who would have
- 57:27Speaker 1: thought that he was dead, So you know, I don't know.
- 57:33Speaker 1: And yeah, we saw earlier like Lufy tried to ask Wanda, well,
- 57:36Speaker 1: Sanji's with him, right, and she got all like sweaty
- 57:39Speaker 1: faced and did want to make eye contact, and it
- 57:41Speaker 1: was clear something was very, very wrong. And this I
- 57:48Speaker 1: have to assume, Like we saw them fighting with these
- 57:51Speaker 1: other people in the previous the end of the last
- 57:55Speaker 1: arc when we caught up with our crew, so I'm
- 57:59Speaker 1: assuming it's something to do with those other dudes, and
- 58:03Speaker 1: he has gotten wrapped up with them somehow, but we'll
- 58:07Speaker 1: have to see. So, yeah, yeah, strange start to things.
- 58:17Speaker 1: The other dude who was fighting them, he was able
- 58:19Speaker 1: to like turn each of his hands into sharks or something.
- 58:24Speaker 1: What was he doing. He had some bizarre power that
- 58:26Speaker 1: I was sort of like, I don't even get how
- 58:28Speaker 1: that makes sense. But Seraphim is agreed. This is one
- 58:35Speaker 1: of the best Nami looks, and Florian says, I want
- 58:38Speaker 1: to sleep on the sheep man, which, yeah, that looked
- 58:40Speaker 1: so cozy. Anytime that you've got a bed or a
- 58:46Speaker 1: bathtub that's like super oversized, I am going to be
- 58:51Speaker 1: very very envious of that character. There is nothing as
- 58:55Speaker 1: luxurious as having like neck deep hot bathom water that
- 59:00Speaker 1: you can do the breaststroke in because you've got so
- 59:04Speaker 1: much room, I mean amazing, and a bed that you
- 59:08Speaker 1: can lay on and roll back and forth in like
- 59:12Speaker 1: a bunch of different directions and you aren't falling off.
- 59:15Speaker 1: Incredible the best. So yeah, very very much want that
- 59:21Speaker 1: hands into ram horn, says Florian. That's right. Yeah, it
- 59:25Speaker 1: was weird. So it's like he's got like some mink
- 59:29Speaker 1: thing going on with him, but like he isn't fully one.
- 59:32Speaker 1: I don't know what that guy's deal is, but I
- 59:34Speaker 1: suppose we shall see. So that's it, those two episodes,
- 59:39Speaker 1: and then there's only two next time as well, so
- 59:41Speaker 1: everybody be prepared for that to be only two episodes
- 59:46Speaker 1: of coverage. Appreciate all of you being here today with
- 59:50Speaker 1: me having a reschedule, and I hope that you enjoy
- 59:53Speaker 1: the coverage. And I'm really looking forward to the next episodes.
- 59:57Speaker 1: I am probably gonna go watch those right now. So
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: until then, to the loom, motherfuckers. That was an unspoiled
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: network podcast.
