  evening everyone welcome to today's green ticker ngx daily market summary uh here are the key points from the day's trading section uh the all share index fell by 1.12 percent the index asi for short measures the average performance of stocks on the exchange uh you had 1.1 billion shares valued at uh 44.2 billion naira traded in the bit over 91 800 deals

  on the again side of things i'm going to be taking things a bit differently now with most market accounts uh you have people uh focusing on the uh stocks but i'm also going to be discussing the etf so let's look at the numbers that we have uh the meristem growth etf against ten percent uh the same for the minister value etf as well so the two etfs gained um ten percent

  uh the meristem growth etf appreciating by 10 to close at 112.31 naira per unit and the meristem value etf gained 10 as well to close 173 naira 80 couple power using it uh back to stocks international energy insurance was best performing stock today appreciated by 9.96 percent had to close at um uh 497 a couple a share

  at 31 naira 20 kubo a share on the loser side of things was cement if i was cement is the primary reason why the stock market declined today abuwa cement fell by 10 percent closing at 378 naira transnation wide express declined by 9.85 percent to close at 4.76 uh kubo and then you had john holt declining by 9.73 percent to close at 15 naira 30 kubo

  red star express fell by nine point seven one percent to close at 30 naira as something couple a share on the volume side of things abe bank led the way with 291.1 million shares traded assets corporation was second place with 130.2 million shares traded and then you had nine minutes third place with 77.9 million shares traded on the value side of things either led the way with 6.31 billion naira water shares traded

  second place was any bank with 4.25 billion naira what of shares through that and their third place was gtco with 3.76 billion naira what of shares i traded now before we go let's check the ngs corporate disclosure page if there is anything major that we need to know i'm not too much so far let's just see resolutions by first old school uh the resolutions part has passed at the 14th and well

  general meeting. Let's see what those resolutions say. The usual stuff are probably AFS 2025 numbers, re-election of some directors. I think maybe the biggest, most important resolution is authorization obtained from shareholders to undertake a capital raise of up to 253 billion naira. And so the essence of wanting to raise this 253 billion or up to that amount or around that figure is in order to achieve

  in one trillion naira paid uh paid of capital and the capital rates are be done uh in one or more transactions through a bunch of ways issuance of shares either by public offering private placement and so on and so i thought so that's pretty much about it is are there any other numbers that we need to know let's go quickly check the daily market um price list let's see if there's anything major that we need to know

  not too much so far today other than bua are pulling down the market there was a 10 decline in the price of bua cement that led to the stock market closing in the red today beyond that i don't see i don't see anything major that we need to know but i would say intraday one of the numbers to watch is mtn nigeria and even though it closed flat at 820

  at a point during the day i saw mt and nigeria at 800 now i shared so that is a stock to pay close attention um to in tomorrow's trading session if it dips below the 800 mark or if you close it as 800 uh that's a key point from a psychological perspective other than that as so far ladies and gentlemen nothing much else has happened but between now and 7 pm when the video version goes out
