- 0:21Speaker 1: Three terrifying days have already passed, and we have four
- 0:26Speaker 1: more to go still, So please join us here on
- 0:30Speaker 1: Halloween Week with Wicked and Grim. My name is Jacko,
- 0:37Speaker 1: and I will continue to be your master of ceremonies
- 0:40Speaker 1: for the remaining four days, but we are going to
- 0:44Speaker 1: go past just the seven day tradition and continue the
- 0:50Speaker 1: urban legends. Last year we had three urban legends.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Two true and one false. Were you able to hell
- 1:00Speaker 2: which was which? This year we have too false and
- 1:04Speaker 2: one true. Again, will you be able to tell the difference?
- 1:10Speaker 2: Can you make the call which is truth and which
- 1:15Speaker 2: is nearly legend? To bring us these cases, I must
- 1:21Speaker 2: first introduce your hosts. So, without further ado, introducing Ben
- 1:30Speaker 2: and Nicole.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Welcome back to Halloween Week.
- 1:36Speaker 4: My name's Ben and I'm Nicole, and you're listening to
- 1:40Speaker 4: Wicked and Grim.
- 1:41Speaker 3: A true crime podcast. I need this drink today.
- 1:48Speaker 4: Ah yeah, this is an earned drink today.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Prior to it was just indulging. Today, it was like, no,
- 1:54Speaker 3: I kind of need a fucking drink.
- 1:56Speaker 5: Today was a day we broke the Internet.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Today we did that was something to put it in
- 2:02Speaker 3: any way, shape or form.
- 2:04Speaker 5: I mean, it was very minor but it was unexpected.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Yes, so we released finally our mugs.
- 2:13Speaker 4: Yeah, are artisan black pottery mugs.
- 2:15Speaker 5: Let's say stay wicked.
- 2:18Speaker 3: So they say stay wicked on it. We finally released them.
- 2:21Speaker 3: We have a total of thirty made. We kept one
- 2:25Speaker 3: and we gave another one away in a giveaway, So
- 2:27Speaker 3: twenty eight went up for sale on our Etsy page.
- 2:29Speaker 5: Today, our brand new Etsy page.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Yes, never sold anything on it before, so it was
- 2:35Speaker 3: a bit of a shit show getting things started on there.
- 2:38Speaker 3: And then when we finally got it up, we're like,
- 2:40Speaker 3: we announced it in Patreon and on Instagram and on Facebook.
- 2:43Speaker 3: We're like, they're live.
- 2:44Speaker 4: Boom, go grab one, yeah, go snag one.
- 2:48Speaker 3: They went so fast, so fast, I think.
- 2:52Speaker 5: It was eleven eleven sold in about a minute.
- 2:55Speaker 3: And Etsy stepped in and cut us off and suspended
- 2:59Speaker 3: our account because of suspicious behavior because a brand new
- 3:03Speaker 3: account was selling shit way too fucking fast.
- 3:08Speaker 5: So wait, yeah, what the heck? Why stomp on our
- 3:12Speaker 5: is it stomp on our parade? Does that?
- 3:14Speaker 4: What?
- 3:14Speaker 3: Rain on our parade?
- 3:15Speaker 4: Rain on our parade? Like, come on, just because we're awesome.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Yeah, So we currently have seventeen mugs in limbo eleven
- 3:20Speaker 3: sold and we are in works with Etsy. We've been
- 3:23Speaker 3: emailing them and they're going through an investigation to ensure
- 3:27Speaker 3: that we're not doing anything wrong.
- 3:29Speaker 4: Yes, so we will be able to sell those remaining
- 3:32Speaker 4: mugs at some point.
- 3:33Speaker 3: We just don't know when Ettsy's gonna get added to us.
- 3:36Speaker 4: But the thing is like, at one point I looked
- 3:38Speaker 4: in there and there was probably like twenty people that
- 3:40Speaker 4: had them in their carts, Like, so it would have
- 3:43Speaker 4: they would have sold out, and like, I bet you
- 3:45Speaker 4: a manner of five minutes.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Oh easy.
- 3:48Speaker 4: So we will also be ordering more mugs.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Yes, there will be more mugs, so don't worry if
- 3:55Speaker 3: you don't get these.
- 3:56Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 3:56Speaker 4: I remember when we went to order these ben Bens,
- 3:59Speaker 4: like should we get like ten?
- 4:01Speaker 5: I was like, oh, that might be a little low.
- 4:03Speaker 4: So we said it on thirty. Yeah that wasn't enough either.
- 4:07Speaker 3: So yeah, there will be more mugs to come. Don't
- 4:11Speaker 3: worry about it. We'll get it worked out with Etsy
- 4:13Speaker 3: one way or another. If we don't, maybe we need
- 4:15Speaker 3: to get our website into an e commerce mode. Yeah,
- 4:18Speaker 3: I don't know. We got to figure it out.
- 4:19Speaker 5: We'll see.
- 4:20Speaker 4: But honestly, you guys are awesome.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Yeah, so thank you for helping to get our Etsy
- 4:26Speaker 3: page suspended.
- 4:28Speaker 4: You continue to blow our minds with your support.
- 4:30Speaker 3: So guys are wicked.
- 4:31Speaker 5: It's unbelievable.
- 4:32Speaker 4: Actually, every time we do something, I'm like, h like
- 4:36Speaker 4: this will go all right, and then it just wow,
- 4:41Speaker 4: like wow wow. Yeah, So honestly, thank you. We're going
- 4:44Speaker 4: to get this fixed. We'll communicate as best we can,
- 4:46Speaker 4: and we'll order some more mugs.
- 4:49Speaker 3: There we go. Yeah, and want to know what else
- 4:51Speaker 3: we're gonna do?
- 4:52Speaker 4: Okay, is this moch today's episode?
- 4:53Speaker 3: It is?
- 4:54Speaker 5: I am pumped?
- 4:56Speaker 3: You're pumped? Why you pumped?
- 4:57Speaker 4: This was literally one of my favorites from last Halloween week?
- 5:00Speaker 3: Okay, but I got to say, next year, you have
- 5:04Speaker 3: to be the one to do the research. I want
- 5:05Speaker 3: to guess.
- 5:06Speaker 4: No, it's too fun guessing. This is your tradition. It's
- 5:09Speaker 4: your tradition to do this episode.
- 5:13Speaker 3: That's bullshit, malarkey.
- 5:16Speaker 5: We'll talk, we'll talk. Maybe we'll have to do.
- 5:18Speaker 3: Two okay, yeah, well we'll figure that out. But last
- 5:21Speaker 3: year we did too true and one false, and this
- 5:24Speaker 3: year we're doing too false and one true. Okay, so
- 5:27Speaker 3: it's up to you to figure out which is which.
- 5:29Speaker 4: I have no idea how I did last year, I
- 5:31Speaker 4: should have listened to that. I have no idea. I
- 5:35Speaker 4: probably didn't. I know I didn't get them both that I.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Don't think you got the true one or the false one.
- 5:44Speaker 5: Okay, I don't know.
- 5:45Speaker 3: I can't remember.
- 5:45Speaker 4: So this year we're doing okay, two it.
- 5:50Speaker 5: Is this year.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Okay, last year, I don't think you succeeded. I think
- 5:53Speaker 3: you managed to guess one correctly. I think if I
- 5:56Speaker 3: remember right, this year, just ignore the rest of it.
- 5:59Speaker 5: Now, Yep, we're clean Slaton this year.
- 6:03Speaker 3: Two false, one true.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Two false, one true. I mean I think last year
- 6:08Speaker 4: that they're all fucking false, So maybe this will be easier.
- 6:10Speaker 3: Yeah, so this year you have to figure out which
- 6:12Speaker 3: one is true.
- 6:14Speaker 4: Okay, we got our we got like, let's do this.
- 6:17Speaker 4: I mean, it's not just me, it's all of us here,
- 6:19Speaker 4: So okay.
- 6:21Speaker 3: So we're gonna start off here. And I'm not telling
- 6:24Speaker 3: you any sort of title of these cases, okay, especially
- 6:29Speaker 3: primarily because anyone out there listening can be like.
- 6:31Speaker 5: Oh Google, real quick, good old Google.
- 6:34Speaker 3: So this is to mostly help prevent you guys from
- 6:37Speaker 3: doing that and actually use you knocking a little bit.
- 6:38Speaker 5: Okay, Yeah, it's fun this is fun.
- 6:41Speaker 3: Even though I'm pretty sure you can quickly figure it
- 6:43Speaker 3: out and google it still, but.
- 6:44Speaker 5: No google, no, no all out. That's rule number one.
- 6:47Speaker 3: And rule number two. Nicole is doing this next year. Okay,
- 6:52Speaker 3: First of all, I need to take sip.
- 6:56Speaker 5: There you go. That was more like a chug.
- 6:58Speaker 3: That was a big zip. Okay, Before, before the time
- 7:05Speaker 3: of big chain stores and online shopping, people needed a
- 7:08Speaker 3: little bit more creativity when it came to things like
- 7:11Speaker 3: Halloween and their costumes.
- 7:13Speaker 5: Okay, yep, it's fair. Now.
- 7:14Speaker 3: There were no stores to go buy a Super Mario costume.
- 7:19Speaker 3: There is no butterfly wings you can go pick up
- 7:21Speaker 3: off the shelf to be you know, that Faerry or
- 7:24Speaker 3: whatever you want to do for your costume. Instead, people
- 7:27Speaker 3: would throw together what they had available in their closets
- 7:29Speaker 3: and mix together with a few homemade items and be
- 7:33Speaker 3: as resourceful as they could and you know, make things
- 7:35Speaker 3: out of like paper mache for.
- 7:37Speaker 5: Example, which I altant to kind of love.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Right. It really makes the Halloween a lot different rather
- 7:43Speaker 3: than I'm just going to go grab fifty bucks and
- 7:44Speaker 3: see what's left on the shelf. So in nineteen sixty two,
- 7:49Speaker 3: this is exactly how Halloween looked okay, And in nineteen
- 7:53Speaker 3: sixty two, in a very small town in the United States,
- 7:56Speaker 3: they were gearing up for Halloween night. The sun was
- 8:00Speaker 3: slowly dipping out down over the horizon, and due to
- 8:03Speaker 3: the age of the individuals in this case, most of
- 8:06Speaker 3: the names have been kept quiet and as quiet as possible.
- 8:09Speaker 3: So I'm going to continue to do that.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Okay.
- 8:12Speaker 3: So this girl in the case, the main one, We're
- 8:14Speaker 3: going to call her Marla.
- 8:16Speaker 5: Marla.
- 8:16Speaker 3: Marla was fifteen years old and getting prepped for Halloween.
- 8:19Speaker 3: She was getting ready to throw a Halloween party with
- 8:21Speaker 3: a bunch of friends from school. So Marla lived with
- 8:24Speaker 3: her dad, who was a heavy drinker and he worked
- 8:27Speaker 3: out at camp as a tree feller, so he was
- 8:30Speaker 3: away for Halloween, and Marla's mother had moved away with
- 8:34Speaker 3: her new husband, so she was essentially home alone for
- 8:37Speaker 3: the night, which gave her the complete ability to throw
- 8:40Speaker 3: a Halloween party at the age of fifteen.
- 8:42Speaker 5: Yikes.
- 8:43Speaker 3: Yeah, so Marla knew exactly where her dad stashed all
- 8:48Speaker 3: his alcohol. Yikes again, under his bed, in the toolbox
- 8:52Speaker 3: in the shed out back, and even behind an old
- 8:54Speaker 3: air duct that was located under the floorboards in the basement.
- 8:58Speaker 4: Oh my gosh. Okay, well she's very observant.
- 9:01Speaker 3: Yeah, so she gathered up as much as she could
- 9:06Speaker 3: without being suspicious and got ready for the night with
- 9:08Speaker 3: her friends. Slowly they began arriving, all dressed up in
- 9:12Speaker 3: their homemade costumes, dinning, sorry, donning paper mache masks, burlap hoods,
- 9:18Speaker 3: and even some clown makeup, all in this old fashioned style,
- 9:21Speaker 3: nothing you'd find bought off the Walmart type shelf.
- 9:24Speaker 4: I'm honestly loving the visual going on in my head
- 9:26Speaker 4: right now.
- 9:27Speaker 3: Well, it was like it was a cool little party
- 9:29Speaker 3: sort of thing. It seemed like right, and it was
- 9:31Speaker 3: the whole like regular teenage rowdiness that occurred. You know,
- 9:34Speaker 3: they went like cruising, because that was the thing that
- 9:36Speaker 3: happened that time.
- 9:37Speaker 5: Cruising, cruising.
- 9:40Speaker 4: Oh as they're also drink consuming alcohol.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Yeah, this is the sixties.
- 9:44Speaker 5: I know, this is the sixties.
- 9:46Speaker 3: So they were like kind of partying at the house.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Some would go cruise, they'd kind of come back sort
- 9:49Speaker 3: of thing, right, Okay, And apparently they even went out
- 9:52Speaker 3: while they were cruising and they threw water grenades at
- 9:55Speaker 3: neighborhood mailboxes. And water grenades were apparently a specific brand
- 10:00Speaker 3: at the time. Nowadays everyone calls him, of course water balloons.
- 10:03Speaker 3: Oh okay, so yeah, I guess that brand was Ellington's
- 10:06Speaker 3: water Grenades. So some trick or treaters, of course did
- 10:11Speaker 3: stop by during the evening, and by about nine to
- 10:14Speaker 3: thirty pm, the trick or treaters kind of you know,
- 10:17Speaker 3: dwindled down right, but by now the house was packed
- 10:20Speaker 3: with about twenty or so people. One of the boys,
- 10:23Speaker 3: who we will call Tommy, brought his new polaroid camera
- 10:26Speaker 3: and decided he was going to take a group photo
- 10:28Speaker 3: of everybody nice. So they all piled around and took
- 10:31Speaker 3: a snapshot together, but no one realized how important this
- 10:35Speaker 3: photograph would be later on.
- 10:37Speaker 5: Uh oh uh oh.
- 10:40Speaker 3: As the evening went on, more and more drinks were
- 10:42Speaker 3: consumed and things got a little fuzzy. Someone later described
- 10:47Speaker 3: vaguely remembering a window being propped open with a piece
- 10:50Speaker 3: of wood from the outside, but never really thought much
- 10:54Speaker 3: of it and kind of brushed it off and continued
- 10:55Speaker 3: to have fun. The night went on, and then around
- 10:59Speaker 3: midnight all hell broke loose inside the house. A scream
- 11:04Speaker 3: was heard from down the hall in the house as
- 11:06Speaker 3: someone came running from a bedroom with someone chasing them
- 11:10Speaker 3: with a butcher knife.
- 11:11Speaker 5: Oh my gosh.
- 11:12Speaker 3: They caught up to him quickly plunged the knife into
- 11:15Speaker 3: their back and everyone panicked.
- 11:18Speaker 4: Oh wow, that is a scene.
- 11:20Speaker 3: They all ran for the nearest door to escape, but
- 11:23Speaker 3: the doors were locked and no one could get out.
- 11:25Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, this is like a horror movie.
- 11:28Speaker 3: The person stood up after killing the first individual, and
- 11:32Speaker 3: they had a black hood with black fabric draped across
- 11:35Speaker 3: their face. Okay, they couldn't be seen they or sorry,
- 11:38Speaker 3: no one could see who they were. Couldn't see their face.
- 11:41Speaker 3: Panic continued as these fifteen year old kids slammed onto
- 11:45Speaker 3: the doors trying to frantically escape the house. However they couldn't.
- 11:51Speaker 3: A total of seven people were killed wow with stab
- 11:55Speaker 3: wounds and cutthroats that night, and two were injured with
- 11:58Speaker 3: minor injuries. Marla was one of the victims who lost
- 12:02Speaker 3: their life.
- 12:03Speaker 5: Oh my gosh.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Now the killer only took out seven individuals because he
- 12:07Speaker 3: had to get away before the police had arrived. And
- 12:10Speaker 3: that's exactly what he did. He had that window that
- 12:14Speaker 3: was propped open. Everything else was locked, but that window
- 12:18Speaker 3: that he took advantage.
- 12:19Speaker 4: So he was planning this, Yes.
- 12:21Speaker 3: So they escaped out the back window, and that's it.
- 12:26Speaker 3: No one knew who this was. After multiple days of
- 12:29Speaker 3: questioning with the police, no one was able to identify
- 12:32Speaker 3: who this black clad individual was. Everyone thought it was
- 12:36Speaker 3: someone else's friend who came to the party with them,
- 12:39Speaker 3: But yet no one recalls seeing this individual actually arrive
- 12:43Speaker 3: at the party either.
- 12:44Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, I was thinking it wasn't someone that was
- 12:47Speaker 4: at the party.
- 12:48Speaker 3: The only evidence any police were able to recover was
- 12:52Speaker 3: the single polaroid photo of the entire group. Now wouldn't
- 12:58Speaker 3: be until about nineteen sixty nine that any more evidence
- 13:01Speaker 3: would be found, and that evidence was found in a
- 13:04Speaker 3: wooded area near Marla's house. She lived not too far
- 13:09Speaker 3: away from this area, and it was right where the
- 13:11Speaker 3: party occurred, and they found the black hood oh mask
- 13:17Speaker 3: and the same fabric.
- 13:18Speaker 5: One quite a few years later.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Then seven years later, my goodness, it was found deteriorated
- 13:23Speaker 3: and discarded, but no one was still able to be
- 13:25Speaker 3: identified to this day, and the whole case remains a mystery.
- 13:30Speaker 5: Huh.
- 13:31Speaker 3: Now, I'm gonna pull up the actual polaroid for you
- 13:34Speaker 3: so you can see it.
- 13:35Speaker 4: Okay, and I already have a question. Okay, I'm doing one.
- 13:39Speaker 3: True right, one true, and two false.
- 13:42Speaker 4: Ye Okay, I already have my thoughts on this one.
- 13:46Speaker 4: I mean, I'm not going to say because it could
- 13:48Speaker 4: change though after I hear the other ones.
- 13:51Speaker 3: So you can see there's the polaroid and you can
- 13:52Speaker 3: see the black clad individual dead center.
- 13:57Speaker 4: Huh wow, that's the actually like the most haunting photo
- 14:01Speaker 4: I think I've ever seen in my life.
- 14:03Speaker 5: Right, it's terrifying.
- 14:04Speaker 3: It's almost like an executioner's kind of hood with like
- 14:07Speaker 3: the eyes and mouth cut out, but it's a complete
- 14:09Speaker 3: black mask otherwise, So that is tail number one. Okay,
- 14:14Speaker 3: where's your stance on that? Let's hear it.
- 14:16Speaker 4: No, I'm not saying them until the end.
- 14:18Speaker 3: What that's no fun because you're I want because you
- 14:21Speaker 3: might change your mind. I want to hear you as
- 14:23Speaker 3: you process.
- 14:23Speaker 4: Okay, well, I'm thinking this one is false.
- 14:26Speaker 3: You're thinking this one's like why are you thinking?
- 14:29Speaker 5: Actually?
- 14:31Speaker 4: Because this seems like a pretty big deal of a
- 14:34Speaker 4: case and I have never heard of it, and I
- 14:37Speaker 4: would be very surprised if that was legit and that
- 14:39Speaker 4: I had never heard of it. Okay, I mean because
- 14:43Speaker 4: a lot of times you search like abnormal cases or
- 14:46Speaker 4: like Halloween cases, and I just have never come across
- 14:49Speaker 4: this one, so I'm I'm going with false.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Fair enough, Okay, Okay, so what about the picture?
- 14:55Speaker 4: Then, Well, the fact that you showed me the picture
- 14:57Speaker 4: does fuck me up a little. So that's why I
- 15:02Speaker 4: was like, I'm gonna wait until I hear the other
- 15:04Speaker 4: ones that now you're making me safe. But I'm still
- 15:06Speaker 4: gonna go with false because that photo kind of doesn't
- 15:09Speaker 4: seem a.
- 15:10Speaker 3: Legit to me in which way.
- 15:13Speaker 4: I think that that costume or that person could have
- 15:16Speaker 4: been like photoshopped in there. Okay, you know that you
- 15:20Speaker 4: can do a lot with photoshop.
- 15:21Speaker 5: I know this.
- 15:23Speaker 3: Clearly because you are a photographer who deals with photoshops.
- 15:26Speaker 5: On a daily basis.
- 15:27Speaker 3: So gotcha. Okay, So the second case, you ready for it?
- 15:31Speaker 4: Then yes, I'm ready to roll.
- 15:33Speaker 3: Okay. So we're gonna go back and we're going to
- 15:36Speaker 3: talk about a classic film for this one.
- 15:39Speaker 5: Okay.
- 15:39Speaker 3: So we're talking about the amazingly film produced by MGM,
- 15:43Speaker 3: which is timeless, The Wizard of Oz.
- 15:47Speaker 5: Oh my goodness.
- 15:48Speaker 3: Okay, the revolutionary color picture has the amazing makeup, the
- 15:52Speaker 3: crazy sets and all of it. You name it, it's
- 15:56Speaker 3: got it. It was an amazing movie. It was beautiful,
- 16:01Speaker 3: but it's got some dark secrets and some dark tails
- 16:06Speaker 3: behind it. For example, the tin Man reportedly had severe
- 16:11Speaker 3: lead poisoning from the lead based paint that he had
- 16:13Speaker 3: pasted all over his skin from every day of filming.
- 16:16Speaker 5: That's brutal.
- 16:17Speaker 3: The Cowardly Lion was on the edge of having heat
- 16:20Speaker 3: stroke every moment when he was suited up and reportedly
- 16:23Speaker 3: collapsed often and couldn't eat or drink properly due to
- 16:26Speaker 3: his makeup.
- 16:26Speaker 5: Wow.
- 16:27Speaker 3: And the Wicked Witch who received severe burns from performing
- 16:31Speaker 3: a stunt involving pyrotechnics as she dropped through a trap
- 16:34Speaker 3: door in the set to make it seem as she
- 16:36Speaker 3: disappeared in the smoke.
- 16:38Speaker 5: Holy shit.
- 16:40Speaker 3: So we won't be covering any of those stories today,
- 16:43Speaker 3: whether those are true or false. However, these are things
- 16:46Speaker 3: that have reportedly occurred on this movie set.
- 16:48Speaker 5: Okay, and what year was that movie or filmed? Do
- 16:53Speaker 5: you have that?
- 16:54Speaker 3: I thought i'd put it in here, but I don't
- 16:56Speaker 3: think I do have it in here.
- 16:56Speaker 5: Now sho Google search A quick Google search.
- 17:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I can't believe it. I didn't put the date
- 17:01Speaker 3: in there, and though he was looking it.
- 17:02Speaker 5: Could be around.
- 17:03Speaker 4: I have no idea could be around that same time
- 17:06Speaker 4: as the first one.
- 17:07Speaker 3: Or oh no, it was earlier than that. It was
- 17:10Speaker 3: in like the forties I think. Okay, nineteen thirty nine.
- 17:13Speaker 4: There we go, okay, wow, yeah, so this is like
- 17:18Speaker 4: WCB and shit.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Work Safe BC? Yeah yeah, so yeah.
- 17:24Speaker 4: Because yeah, you could never get away with that kind
- 17:25Speaker 4: of shit nowadays.
- 17:26Speaker 3: No, and WCB and rightfully so yes, WCB just for
- 17:31Speaker 3: you guys out there, that's the because we're in British Columbia.
- 17:34Speaker 3: It's the governing body for safety in British Columbia.
- 17:37Speaker 5: Oh okay, is that just a BC thing?
- 17:39Speaker 3: I don't work safe British Columbia. Oh duh, No, most
- 17:42Speaker 3: people deal with OSHA. Okay, yeah, Occupational Safety and Health Association.
- 17:48Speaker 5: What is Nicole saying?
- 17:49Speaker 3: Pretty much? I know these things because I'm a safety go.
- 17:52Speaker 5: You're a safety man.
- 17:53Speaker 3: Yeah. So anyways, back onto this, we digress. We're not
- 17:57Speaker 3: going to be covering any of those cases, but we
- 17:59Speaker 3: are going to be tallalking about something, and it is
- 18:02Speaker 3: that there was apparently a suicide that occurred on set, okay,
- 18:07Speaker 3: and how that suicide kind of came to light. It's
- 18:13Speaker 3: kind of fucked up. So apparently the individual's corpse was
- 18:18Speaker 3: accidentally left in a shot and then put into the
- 18:20Speaker 3: final product of the film.
- 18:23Speaker 4: Ohly, shit, that's terrible.
- 18:27Speaker 3: So you watch the film, you can see someone's deceased
- 18:31Speaker 3: corpse who had committed suicide.
- 18:33Speaker 5: Oh my gosh.
- 18:34Speaker 4: Okay, so we're watching The Wizard of Oz later, like
- 18:37Speaker 4: I need to see that.
- 18:39Speaker 3: Well, the scene in question is at the very end
- 18:41Speaker 3: of the tin Man sequence. It says Dorothy and the
- 18:44Speaker 3: Scarecrow and the tin Men are headed down the yellow
- 18:46Speaker 3: Brick Road to head towards the Emerald City. Okay, However,
- 18:50Speaker 3: as they march off down the infamous brick Road, in
- 18:53Speaker 3: the far background of the set, it shows a dark
- 18:57Speaker 3: and dimly lit wooded area. Now, if you look closely
- 19:01Speaker 3: between the trees, there is a silhouetted figure that can
- 19:04Speaker 3: be seen, and that silhouette appears to be a little
- 19:08Speaker 3: person who played one of the roles of the Munchkins
- 19:11Speaker 3: in the film, and they are hanging by the neck
- 19:15Speaker 3: and swinging lightly back and forth in the trees.
- 19:19Speaker 4: Okay, I just have to say, if that's true, that's terrible. Yeah,
- 19:25Speaker 4: And like, did they not think to just like re
- 19:28Speaker 4: record or they just it wasn't noted.
- 19:30Speaker 3: They didn't realize until it was already released.
- 19:33Speaker 4: Well, did they not find this person or they just
- 19:35Speaker 4: didn't realize it was in the shot?
- 19:37Speaker 3: Didn't realize it was in the shot?
- 19:39Speaker 5: Wow.
- 19:41Speaker 3: So the claim is exactly that a person had committed
- 19:45Speaker 3: suicide on set to do to the harsh conditions that
- 19:48Speaker 3: we had already mentioned, and it drove them into depression
- 19:52Speaker 3: and other mental health issues, maybe even things that they
- 19:55Speaker 3: had it going on at home too, But they decided
- 19:57Speaker 3: it was too much and they took their life on
- 20:00Speaker 3: on the set moments before the camera crew filmed the
- 20:03Speaker 3: shot that would infamously be memorialized.
- 20:07Speaker 5: Wow.
- 20:08Speaker 3: So MGM denied anyone ever committing suicide or dying on set,
- 20:13Speaker 3: and has since digitally removed the silhouette from newly released films.
- 20:17Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, So can you not even find this then?
- 20:19Speaker 4: Or it's probably on the internet something?
- 20:21Speaker 3: Oh yeah, you can. You can watch it.
- 20:23Speaker 4: You can find anything on the interweb.
- 20:25Speaker 3: It's on YouTube. And just so you know, I don't
- 20:28Speaker 3: know if this are you.
- 20:29Speaker 4: Gonna fucking show me photos and shit of everyone so
- 20:31Speaker 4: that I'm just like a fish out of water here.
- 20:35Speaker 3: There's only photos of two. The other one's too old.
- 20:38Speaker 5: Wow, that's brutal.
- 20:43Speaker 4: Hum hmm, Okay, I just think of this one's true.
- 20:47Speaker 4: That's just terrible. I mean, god, the fucking other one's
- 20:50Speaker 4: terrible too.
- 20:50Speaker 5: So I don't know.
- 20:54Speaker 4: This is just fun, This is actually fun. I'm enjoying this.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Well.
- 20:57Speaker 3: Remember there's only one true one set.
- 20:59Speaker 5: I know I already have my thought on this one.
- 21:01Speaker 3: What's your thought on this one?
- 21:02Speaker 5: False?
- 21:03Speaker 3: Why do you think it's false?
- 21:04Speaker 5: Okay?
- 21:04Speaker 4: I know the Wizard of Oz was fucked, like I've
- 21:07Speaker 4: heard you hear some shit from that movie, like it
- 21:10Speaker 4: was not good. But I think that I could change this.
- 21:15Speaker 4: But I think that you're doing this one as a
- 21:18Speaker 4: throwing us off. Everyone knows that the Wizard of Oz
- 21:21Speaker 4: was recorded or was it was terrible working conditions. So
- 21:25Speaker 4: I think you're putting this one in there and being like, Okay, yeah,
- 21:27Speaker 4: it was terrible working conditions.
- 21:28Speaker 5: That's true.
- 21:30Speaker 4: But I think you're just throwing us off and it's false. Okay,
- 21:33Speaker 4: that's my thought because I feel like you would do that.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Okay, what if I showed you the video of the market.
- 21:43Speaker 3: Are you up for that?
- 21:45Speaker 4: I'm up for that, But like, what are you doing
- 21:47Speaker 4: to me.
- 21:48Speaker 3: Well, I'm about I'm trying to show present the evidence here.
- 21:52Speaker 3: I'm trying to make sure that I show everything and
- 21:55Speaker 3: as real of a light as I can.
- 21:56Speaker 4: I have all the facts, so the next one, I
- 21:58Speaker 4: guess in my opinion has to be true.
- 22:00Speaker 5: We'll see. I could change. I'm allowed to change my answers, right.
- 22:02Speaker 3: Yes, I'm just trying to get your thought process through
- 22:04Speaker 3: this whole thing. Nothing is solidified until the very end
- 22:07Speaker 3: when you make your call. Okay, Okay, I'm just going
- 22:12Speaker 3: to bring this up here.
- 22:15Speaker 4: But I do think this is terribly sad. If this
- 22:19Speaker 4: I mean, gosh, yeah, they're all gonna be sad. Okay,
- 22:21Speaker 4: is this playing it is?
- 22:26Speaker 3: You see it?
- 22:26Speaker 5: I do? Wow?
- 22:28Speaker 3: Wow.
- 22:30Speaker 5: I just think that would be.
- 22:32Speaker 4: Something hard to or that that would be noticed too
- 22:36Speaker 4: in the editing. But I mean, I guess they didn't
- 22:39Speaker 4: really have like the eye or the techniques or stuff
- 22:43Speaker 4: that we do nowadays. Man, that throws me off. That
- 22:49Speaker 4: throws me for a little bit of a loop there. Okay,
- 22:52Speaker 4: But like, honestly, if this is false, if this is
- 22:55Speaker 4: what am I seeing, Okay, I said this was false.
- 22:58Speaker 5: Oh no, now, I'm okay.
- 23:00Speaker 4: If this is false, someone actually went to the trouble
- 23:02Speaker 4: of doing that, like, I don't know now, I'm let's see,
- 23:05Speaker 4: I'm it's a roller coaster. I'm spiraling. I'm sticking to
- 23:09Speaker 4: false right now, sticking to false on it. So I've
- 23:11Speaker 4: said both are false.
- 23:13Speaker 3: Okay, So we'll see if you think false or true
- 23:15Speaker 3: on this one then Okay, Okay, let's go. So this
- 23:19Speaker 3: one takes us back before there is photographic evidence. Okay,
- 23:24Speaker 3: this one takes us back into the eighteen hundreds. So
- 23:27Speaker 3: on the night of February eighth and ninth, so in between,
- 23:32Speaker 3: like you know, the night of February eighth and February ninth,
- 23:35Speaker 3: the evening between. Okay, yeah, so that evening in eighteen
- 23:38Speaker 3: fifty five, Okay, a heavy snowfall occurred in Devon, which
- 23:42Speaker 3: is a small county in southwest England.
- 23:45Speaker 5: Okay, so far this seems legit.
- 23:47Speaker 3: The snow blanketed the house and roads, making for a nice, quiet,
- 23:51Speaker 3: dream like world. Up here in Canada, we know what
- 23:54Speaker 3: we know that feeling. Often when you get that nice
- 23:57Speaker 3: heavy snowfall, everything seems so quiet and it.
- 24:00Speaker 4: Can okay, it can look pretty, it can look pretty,
- 24:02Speaker 4: but it also sucks.
- 24:04Speaker 3: But like acoustically because that snow absorbed so much sound.
- 24:07Speaker 3: It's just beautifully peaceful.
- 24:09Speaker 4: And it's just everything is like white and clean, and
- 24:14Speaker 4: you know, I know, yeah, the one the first snowfall,
- 24:18Speaker 4: or not the first, but the one, big dump can
- 24:20Speaker 4: look beautiful. Big dump, rec dumb, big dump. Like what
- 24:25Speaker 4: am I going to say next year?
- 24:26Speaker 3: I don't know. We'll find out. But anyways, so this
- 24:29Speaker 3: was like a quiet, dreamlike world at this point. The
- 24:32Speaker 3: people of Devin drifted off and it was kind of
- 24:36Speaker 3: like the picturesque world, just to go to dreamland. The
- 24:39Speaker 3: dreamland would turn into a very hellish reality when the
- 24:42Speaker 3: sun rose the next morning. Oh so, as people stepped
- 24:46Speaker 3: outside and walked into the fresh blanket of snow, an
- 24:49Speaker 3: odd sight began to catch everyone's attention. A series of
- 24:54Speaker 3: very strange footprints made their way through the snow and
- 24:57Speaker 3: measured about four inches long and three inches across, and
- 25:00Speaker 3: the stride ranging from about or to about sixteen inches
- 25:03Speaker 3: in length. Now, the hoof prints, as we'll call them,
- 25:08Speaker 3: were reported more than thirty locations across Devon, Okay, and
- 25:16Speaker 3: other neighboring counties, and we're estimated to span a distance
- 25:20Speaker 3: between forty and one hundred miles.
- 25:23Speaker 4: What is the name of that one? I don't or
- 25:25Speaker 4: never mind, I'll just listen. What Okay, haven't I I
- 25:29Speaker 4: did some sort of Christmas thing, din't I?
- 25:31Speaker 5: Where was like?
- 25:32Speaker 4: Crankin crampis, crampis cranking the release the cranking.
- 25:38Speaker 5: Okay, crampis.
- 25:39Speaker 3: Yeah, we're talking about crampis. No, we're talking about some
- 25:43Speaker 3: hoofed prints in the snow.
- 25:46Speaker 5: Okay.
- 25:46Speaker 3: Yeah, So they're oddly kind of like almost horseshoe hoofed
- 25:51Speaker 3: shape now on its own, these hoofs, these prints, they're
- 25:56Speaker 3: not much to really talk about. I mean, you wake
- 25:57Speaker 3: up the morning, fresh snow. Oh great, a deer wa
- 26:00Speaker 3: across my front lawn. WHIPTI friakin do right? However, the
- 26:03Speaker 3: hellish part kind of pops up here when we realize
- 26:07Speaker 3: is a bit of a twist. The footprints didn't seem
- 26:10Speaker 3: to just walk across someone's front lawn or down the road.
- 26:14Speaker 3: They didn't really just stop for anything, it seemed like though.
- 26:18Speaker 3: In fact, they walked across the roof of houses, over
- 26:23Speaker 3: big walls, across rivers. Wow, they strode through almost anything
- 26:28Speaker 3: that was in its path, across walls and into people's
- 26:33Speaker 3: back courtyards of their homes. And even there was a
- 26:36Speaker 3: claim that the footprints at one point led into a
- 26:41Speaker 3: four inch diameter drain pipe and exited out the other end.
- 26:46Speaker 4: Seriously, but these are like big footprints, right, you said
- 26:51Speaker 4: sixteen inches or something?
- 26:53Speaker 3: Sixteen inch stride, oh, fourteen or four inch wide, three
- 26:57Speaker 3: inch long, I believe is what it was.
- 26:58Speaker 4: Okay, For some reason, I was thinking that the footprint
- 27:01Speaker 4: itself was sixteen.
- 27:02Speaker 3: Inches, so four inch long and three inch wide.
- 27:06Speaker 5: There are oh, okay, okay, three.
- 27:08Speaker 3: Inches across, four inches long, So it seems like it
- 27:12Speaker 3: didn't stop for anything, that just kept going without missing
- 27:15Speaker 3: a beat. So these hoof prints continued from town to
- 27:18Speaker 3: town to town, left in the snow, not stopping for anything.
- 27:22Speaker 3: And the mystery of these hoof footprints in the snow
- 27:27Speaker 3: was never solved, but it was quickly named the Devil's
- 27:31Speaker 3: footprints for obvious reasons. Yep, and to this day it's
- 27:35Speaker 3: still a mystery. Those are your three urban legends. Now,
- 27:43Speaker 3: what's your thoughts on that one?
- 27:47Speaker 5: True?
- 27:48Speaker 3: You think it's true?
- 27:49Speaker 5: I do.
- 27:50Speaker 3: Why do you think it's true?
- 27:51Speaker 4: I don't know, because there are a lot of I
- 27:54Speaker 4: just think in our world unexplained, like animal occurrences, okay,
- 28:00Speaker 4: and so I feel like that could just be that,
- 28:04Speaker 4: like an animal of sorts made these footprints, and maybe
- 28:10Speaker 4: at the time or whatever, we didn't know.
- 28:13Speaker 5: What that was.
- 28:14Speaker 3: So you're saying that these hoof prints just walked up
- 28:16Speaker 3: to a house, hopped onto the roof, walked across, hopped down,
- 28:19Speaker 3: and kept going because an animal does that.
- 28:22Speaker 4: Yeah, freaking mountain goat shit, climb up the side of
- 28:25Speaker 4: a goddamn mountain, right, I guess yeah.
- 28:28Speaker 5: I wouldn't be able to do that.
- 28:29Speaker 3: And it went through a four inch diameter pipe.
- 28:32Speaker 4: That throws me off a little bit because it was
- 28:35Speaker 4: like a baby goat.
- 28:39Speaker 5: Now I'm just saying it's a goat. It would be like.
- 28:43Speaker 4: Not able to get on the top of the roofs,
- 28:45Speaker 4: but it would be able to go through the pipe.
- 28:49Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 28:49Speaker 3: I'm saying four inch diameter pipe. Do you know how
- 28:52Speaker 3: much this is a four inch di I'm.
- 28:53Speaker 4: Aware, I'm aware, Okay, Okay, let me see.
- 29:02Speaker 5: Okay, So we got that one.
- 29:03Speaker 4: We have the Wizard of Oz and then we have
- 29:07Speaker 4: the Halloween party.
- 29:08Speaker 3: Yeah, the Halloween massacre in nineteen sixty two.
- 29:11Speaker 5: Shit, No, I'm keeping my answers.
- 29:13Speaker 3: Man Okay, so officially lock it in, which the first one,
- 29:17Speaker 3: the Halloween one is false, the wizard of Oz is false,
- 29:22Speaker 3: and the Devil's Footprints is true. Final answer?
- 29:27Speaker 4: Shit, there's there's okay or okay, the second and third one.
- 29:32Speaker 4: I could potentially switch, but I'm fuck I shouldn't have
- 29:36Speaker 4: said that. The goddamn first one is going to be
- 29:37Speaker 4: the true. No, I'm locking them in.
- 29:40Speaker 3: Okay. So first one Halloween false, second one, Wizard of
- 29:46Speaker 3: Oz false, final one Devil's Footprints false.
- 29:50Speaker 5: I mean true.
- 29:52Speaker 3: Okay is that your final answer?
- 29:54Speaker 4: Yes, I've walked them in.
- 29:55Speaker 3: Okay, Let's start one by one here. Let's start with
- 29:59Speaker 3: the Halloween mass of nineteen sixty two. Okay, it is false.
- 30:05Speaker 4: Okay, Okay, We're off to a good start here. I'm
- 30:07Speaker 4: glad that one's false.
- 30:09Speaker 3: Okay, so it has been proven to be false. Let's
- 30:11Speaker 3: start with debunking it a little bit here. So there
- 30:14Speaker 3: is no evidence of any sort of massacre ever occurring
- 30:18Speaker 3: on Halloween in the United States in nineteen sixty two.
- 30:21Speaker 3: There is no report of this ever happening. No murders
- 30:24Speaker 3: occurred that night in the States that year, oh w
- 30:27Speaker 3: or massacre of that sort Okay.
- 30:28Speaker 5: I was just like, are you sure.
- 30:31Speaker 3: That photo I showed you not a photoshop photo, a
- 30:34Speaker 3: very real photo. I don't know who the fuck is
- 30:36Speaker 3: in that photo. I don't know where they pulled it from,
- 30:37Speaker 3: but it's just some photo that a story got tacked onto.
- 30:40Speaker 5: Oh really, So.
- 30:42Speaker 3: It's a very real photo of very real people from
- 30:44Speaker 3: an older time in a Halloween party or something, and
- 30:46Speaker 3: it's just this urban legend got tacked to it.
- 30:48Speaker 4: And here I'm like, that shit's photoshop.
- 30:50Speaker 3: I know, right. And some of the things that they
- 30:54Speaker 3: really point to it being false is you have a
- 30:57Speaker 3: bunch of people inside a building okay, yeah, and it's
- 31:00Speaker 3: locked from the inside.
- 31:05Speaker 4: That did kind of like I was like, how did
- 31:07Speaker 4: that happen? But I mean, like you can plan st
- 31:09Speaker 4: it ahead, I guess, but.
- 31:11Speaker 3: You'd have to barricade. And after barricading like that, people
- 31:15Speaker 3: are going to notice you're barricading fucking all the doors
- 31:18Speaker 3: and shit.
- 31:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 31:18Speaker 3: Also, there was approximately twenty people in there, and they
- 31:23Speaker 3: none of them took down this individual.
- 31:25Speaker 4: And I thought of that too, because I was like,
- 31:26Speaker 4: it's just one person, but you have heard of worse things.
- 31:30Speaker 4: I mean, you're caught off guard, like you've had some drinks.
- 31:34Speaker 5: Yeap, you know.
- 31:35Speaker 3: And then no one else escaped through this window, right,
- 31:38Speaker 3: just just this guy, people.
- 31:40Speaker 5: Even though the window had been noticed.
- 31:42Speaker 3: Yes, and then also finally seven years later, finding the
- 31:46Speaker 3: mask in a wooded area. Even if you do, how
- 31:48Speaker 3: are you going to identify that's actually correlated to the murder?
- 31:51Speaker 5: Yeah? I did think that was a bit odd.
- 31:52Speaker 3: Someone's gonna be like, oh, here's a piece of cloth
- 31:54Speaker 3: turf that.
- 31:55Speaker 4: Yeah, would it have even survived that long?
- 31:58Speaker 3: Exactly? So that one has been debunked. It is just
- 32:03Speaker 3: that an urban legend.
- 32:04Speaker 5: Okay.
- 32:05Speaker 4: Well, I'm at least a thirty three at least.
- 32:08Speaker 3: Yes, Okay, So now we're going to tackle the Wizard
- 32:14Speaker 3: of Oz.
- 32:15Speaker 5: Okay, I'm very intrigued here.
- 32:17Speaker 3: The Wizard of Oz is drum roll.
- 32:23Speaker 5: False, Yes, holy shit, I'm the bomb.
- 32:29Speaker 3: Well done, well done. So yes, the Wizard of Oz
- 32:32Speaker 3: has had many reports of horrific conditions for filming. I
- 32:37Speaker 3: haven't gone through and checked all the sources for those
- 32:41Speaker 3: other prior stories. I haven't done my research on those whatsoever.
- 32:44Speaker 3: But I have heard tales, specifically one of the Witch
- 32:48Speaker 3: and the Lion. I do know that some of those
- 32:50Speaker 3: events are true, but I don't know to what degree.
- 32:53Speaker 4: I have heard something about the tin Man too, because
- 32:55Speaker 4: I think there's been podcasts, true crame podcasts that have
- 32:57Speaker 4: covered the Wizard of Oz.
- 32:58Speaker 3: Yes, I think so. Yeah. However, the hanging munchkin in
- 33:03Speaker 3: the trees, it is a very real shot that is
- 33:06Speaker 3: definitely in the movie. However, it is not a munchkin
- 33:11Speaker 3: hanging in the trees.
- 33:12Speaker 5: Okay, what is it?
- 33:13Speaker 3: Apparently they had very real birds and animals walking through
- 33:17Speaker 3: the forest.
- 33:18Speaker 5: That is on set. Humongous bird.
- 33:21Speaker 3: It was like some sort of crane.
- 33:23Speaker 5: Are you fucking me dead serious?
- 33:26Speaker 4: That's I was gonna say more terrifying, but not, it's
- 33:29Speaker 4: not more terrifying, but that's terrifying to run into a
- 33:32Speaker 4: bird that size.
- 33:33Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a big old fucking crane, the rope that's
- 33:36Speaker 3: the bird's neck.
- 33:37Speaker 4: Good God, and they're just like skipping it down that
- 33:40Speaker 4: I would be running.
- 33:41Speaker 3: Well, and if you look at the shots, everyone is
- 33:44Speaker 3: facing directly towards what would have been the acclaimed body. Yeah,
- 33:49Speaker 3: they would have seen it. Yeah, No one freaked out.
- 33:52Speaker 4: So they just it was a bird and it's just
- 33:54Speaker 4: like they're just here.
- 33:55Speaker 3: Yeah, they've been seeing these birds all around set and
- 33:57Speaker 3: it's just no there, it is over there. Cool.
- 33:59Speaker 5: Wow.
- 34:01Speaker 3: So this urban legend was born of what is a
- 34:03Speaker 3: bird silhouette has been turned into someone committed suicide. No
- 34:08Speaker 3: one has committed suicide on set.
- 34:12Speaker 4: I am like, I'm just tickled pink with myself here.
- 34:16Speaker 3: I'm good.
- 34:16Speaker 4: I'm very like, are you surprised by this? I had
- 34:19Speaker 4: some Okay, I'm just gonna say I had some very
- 34:22Speaker 4: logical explanations to my answers too.
- 34:25Speaker 3: You did, you did?
- 34:26Speaker 5: And maybe not the last one that might be just lucky.
- 34:29Speaker 3: I threw in some hints there to help push you
- 34:33Speaker 3: in the right direction. If I'm being.
- 34:34Speaker 4: Honest, Oh sure, and I'll give me the full credit here.
- 34:38Speaker 3: And to be fair, I also threw in curveballs to
- 34:40Speaker 3: throw you off. Okay, okay, for some of the curveballs
- 34:43Speaker 3: I threw in to throw you off are exactly showing
- 34:45Speaker 3: you the.
- 34:45Speaker 5: Pictures right in the video. That one, yes, got me.
- 34:50Speaker 3: So the thing that I put in there to help
- 34:53Speaker 3: push you in the right direction was a little bit
- 34:55Speaker 3: more details as far as metrics in the Devil's foot prints,
- 35:01Speaker 3: the distant the stride distance, the footprint size, the exact date,
- 35:05Speaker 3: February eighth and ninth. I never gave any other exact date,
- 35:08Speaker 3: well other than Halloween, I guess technically, Oh okay, I
- 35:13Speaker 3: never did say the location of the Halloween massacre. Just
- 35:17Speaker 3: in the States, this one is in Devon County. Oh
- 35:20Speaker 3: so I got I got a little more specific on
- 35:22Speaker 3: some of it.
- 35:23Speaker 5: I could make it a bit more believable. Yeah, but
- 35:25Speaker 5: also like what the shit was that no one knows?
- 35:29Speaker 3: Yeah? So the Devil's footprints. It's a very real case.
- 35:33Speaker 3: It's very it's documented, though there isn't much document on it.
- 35:36Speaker 3: There are no photographs. It is a case that has occurred. However,
- 35:40Speaker 3: some dispute the fact I'm actually walking up to one
- 35:42Speaker 3: hundred miles because who fucking knows. No one actually walked
- 35:46Speaker 3: the entire distance in a day to take to check
- 35:48Speaker 3: it out, right, Okay, yeah, but there are some accounts
- 35:53Speaker 3: of it being something else, or theories of.
- 35:56Speaker 5: It anyways, like a baby goat.
- 35:58Speaker 3: Just kidding, I mean kind of, you're not too far off.
- 36:03Speaker 5: Oh okay.
- 36:04Speaker 3: I didn't actually write down the theories on my notes here.
- 36:09Speaker 3: I got to open up Wikipedia because they had all
- 36:11Speaker 3: the pretty much all the theories just boom right then,
- 36:13Speaker 3: and there. Okay, so the theories they have mice like
- 36:18Speaker 3: a hopping mouse, like a pack rat of some sort,
- 36:21Speaker 3: a kangaroo apparently, wow badgers, so basically different animals of sorts. However,
- 36:28Speaker 3: a lot of these it's like, I don't know if
- 36:30Speaker 3: I'm convinced, especially the report saying going straight across the river,
- 36:34Speaker 3: going straight over walls into courtyards, up onto a roof.
- 36:39Speaker 3: If an animal is doing that, they're not gonna be
- 36:40Speaker 3: going straight line, just gonna be weaving back and forth.
- 36:43Speaker 3: And like I say, a deer is just gonna go
- 36:45Speaker 3: walk and chill, right.
- 36:46Speaker 4: Well, yeah you think that it would just it would
- 36:48Speaker 4: pick an easier route and just go around the buildings
- 36:51Speaker 4: and stuff if it could, right rather than up top them.
- 36:55Speaker 5: Yeah, that does seem a bit odd.
- 36:57Speaker 3: It does. Now. The one interesting theory that is written
- 37:01Speaker 3: here and I'm going to read it for batim right
- 37:02Speaker 3: off here of Wikipedia, so don't get at me for
- 37:06Speaker 3: copyright stuff here, but it is a balloon.
- 37:11Speaker 5: A balloon.
- 37:12Speaker 3: A balloon is the theory. However, this is eighteen fifty five,
- 37:14Speaker 3: so I don't know. But there is someone who suggested
- 37:17Speaker 3: that an experimental balloon released by mistake from Devenport Dockyard
- 37:22Speaker 3: had left the mysterious tracks by trailing two shackles at
- 37:25Speaker 3: the end of its mooring ropes. Okay, yeah, so that's
- 37:33Speaker 3: a bit of an interesting thing.
- 37:34Speaker 4: I gonna say no, because I also feel like it
- 37:37Speaker 4: would have popped. It wouldn't have been able to travel, Like,
- 37:40Speaker 4: what kind of what is this balloon made of? Especially
- 37:43Speaker 4: going through the what did you call it, the like tunnel.
- 37:46Speaker 3: Thing, the fourrange pipe, the drainage pipe. Yeah, I don't
- 37:50Speaker 3: think anything would have gone through the drainage pipe unless
- 37:52Speaker 3: it is some sort of like demon or something. I
- 37:55Speaker 3: think it would have just been like, oh, look it
- 37:57Speaker 3: went through his pipe when actually it just went over top.
- 38:00Speaker 5: Humhmm.
- 38:01Speaker 4: That's my real inter sometimes the things that people come
- 38:06Speaker 4: up with, I mean, like you never know, you never know.
- 38:08Speaker 3: Yeah, but so the Devil's footprints is actually documented. Okay,
- 38:14Speaker 3: it is the true tale to our three urban legends.
- 38:18Speaker 4: Wow, Okay, everyone's gonna have to let us know they did.
- 38:22Speaker 4: Like this is just this one is just so fun,
- 38:24Speaker 4: Like I'm obsessed with this. The thing is Okay, if
- 38:28Speaker 4: I were to do this one, yeah, you would for
- 38:32Speaker 4: sure pass. You don't know that maybe it should be
- 38:35Speaker 4: my goal next year. Do it where Ben cannot succeed.
- 38:39Speaker 3: Maybe we should each do it and see how we
- 38:41Speaker 3: can can score against the other.
- 38:44Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, let us know.
- 38:45Speaker 4: Let us know how you think what we should do
- 38:48Speaker 4: or should this just be a Ben tradition.
- 38:50Speaker 3: I don't think it should. I think it's got to
- 38:51Speaker 3: be fair. It's got to be fair.
- 38:52Speaker 5: Well, you're like, I'm missing out you vomo.
- 38:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I wanted I want to guess. I want to
- 38:57Speaker 3: have that fun. But yeah, us hit us up on Instagram,
- 39:00Speaker 3: Facebook messages or whatever. You can shoot us an email.
- 39:03Speaker 3: Heead over to our website and contact us through there.
- 39:05Speaker 3: Let us know what you think, if what we should
- 39:07Speaker 3: do for next year on these urban legend stories.
- 39:11Speaker 4: But you know what I just had of the realization
- 39:12Speaker 4: that I haven't even posted about Bella Kiss, So.
- 39:15Speaker 3: Wow, I will be going.
- 39:16Speaker 5: And doing that.
- 39:17Speaker 3: Yeah, go do it right now. Yeah, by the time
- 39:20Speaker 3: you're listening to it, if Nicole still hasn't posted, give
- 39:22Speaker 3: or shit.
- 39:23Speaker 5: Yeah I need that.
- 39:25Speaker 3: Okay, Well, thank you for stopping by, Thank you for
- 39:27Speaker 3: listening to this case. Hopefully you enjoyed it. Hopefully you

- 39:51Speaker 3: until then, stay wicked.
