- 0:01Every individual faces difficulties during his
- 0:04lifetime. They may be difficulties imposed
- 0:08due to external circumstances attendant on one's birth,
- 0:12cultural or societal position opportunities, or economic
- 0:17prospects. They may be difficulties that
- 0:21arise due to climate or natural disasters.
- 0:25They may also be difficulties that arise as a result of
- 0:28limitations of the individual or as more general, manifestations
- 0:33of human nature as presently constituted.
- 0:37There are also difficulties that arise as Humanity, confronts,
- 0:41the pressure, and need to change, adapt and grow leaving
- 0:46past habits behind, and bringing in new ways of seeing acting and
- 0:52relating. The individual does not
- 0:56generally have much if any control of the external
- 0:59circumstances, he can, however, gained a measure of control,
- 1:04over his own decisions actions. And reactions and thereby
- 1:09participate. Actively in the unfolding of the
- 1:12future before him, this is not to say that.
- 1:16All of these decisions are actions are painless or
- 1:19successful in the measure sought by the individual of course.
- 1:25For the spiritual Seeker. The obstacles and difficulties
- 1:28are in some cases greatly enhanced by The increased
- 1:32visibility. The Seeker has to the inner
- 1:35workings of the being, and the additional conditions that those
- 1:39speakers have to fulfill to not only face external situations,
- 1:45but deal with internal reactions, energetic forces and
- 1:50needs of the spiritual growth of the being The positive side of
- 1:55all of this is that those who choose to spiritual life, have
- 1:59the capacities to succeed. If they remain steadfast with
- 2:04the constant play of the three gunas, the Seeker should
- 2:08exercise care to not. Give way to the rise of Thomas,
- 2:12with depression or despair that causes him to abandon the path
- 2:17or with the rise of rajas fall under the spell of, self-seeking
- 2:22vanity. Greed fame or lust, or under the
- 2:27spell of sattva. Take the position of being able
- 2:30to determine what other should do out of spiritual pride and
- 2:35then try to justify these things without recognizing the
- 2:39spiritual Peril involved. SRI aurobindo notes, quote, all
- 2:46who enter the spiritual path have to face the difficulties
- 2:49and ordeals of the path, those which rise from their own nature
- 2:54and those, which come in from outside, the difficulties in the
- 2:59nature, always rise again. And again, till you overcome
- 3:03them, they must be faced with both strength and patience.
- 3:09All who cleave to the path. Steadfastly can be sure of their
- 3:12spiritual Destiny. If anyone fails to reach it, it
- 3:17can only be for one of the two reasons either because they
- 3:22leave the path or because for some lore of ambition, vanity
- 3:28desire, Etc, they go astray. And quote, reference SRI
