- 0:32subscribe so you won't miss any more travel and digital Nomad
- 0:36attacks. Let's get into it.
- 0:39Number one, find the cheapest day to fly.
- 0:43If you can be flexible with your travel dates when you fly in or
- 0:47when you fly out or both, then you can save a lot of money.
- 0:51So how do you do this? Well, go to a search engine, a
- 0:55flight search engine that gives you an overview of the day.
- 1:00Listen? What they cost, some good ones
- 1:02for, this is kiwi. Let's come and Google flights.
- 1:06And so as soon as you have put in while you're flying from and
- 1:10why are you flying to, then you will see month by month where
- 1:14you can find the cheapest. Flights tips.
- 1:18Number two is Jack's Flight Club.
- 1:22So this is a newsletter you put in where you live and then you
- 1:27will get notified by email. When when there is unusually
- 1:31cheap flights available. So for example, I've been able
- 1:35to find flights to and from Tokyo for like 400 pounds or
- 1:41something. It was crazy cheap and if you
- 1:44get their premium version, you get even more deals that you can
- 1:48find Tips. Number three is to collect
- 1:51flight points with credit cards. Yes, there are quite many credit
- 1:57cards that lets you collect. Points.
- 2:00Even when you don't buy flight tickets, it could be also just
- 2:05groceries. Every time I use that credit
- 2:07card, you will collect points that you can reimburse.
- 2:10For flights one that I'm using is called a travel wallet.
- 2:15So here it is. Travel wallet, and it's made by
- 2:20Scandinavian Airlines and this is actually not a credit cards
- 2:24or debit card. I prefer I prefer debit cards.
- 2:27So every time I use this to buy stuff I get Get 5 Points with
- 2:31Scandinavian Airlines. Tip number four is to sign up
- 2:36for flight providers, newsletters.
- 2:39Yeah, just enough for the newsletters.
- 2:41It can be buddies. Airlines like Orion are we there
- 2:45or just your favorite flights and you get notified.
- 2:49You and you'll be the first one to know when they release need
- 2:52campaigns. For example, they might have a
- 2:55Autumn sale or Valentine's Day special where you A dear friend
- 3:01for hours tips. Number five is zones.
- 3:04Wait to book your flights. If you are not very flexible
- 3:08with your dates and you know, when you need to fly, and when
- 3:11you won't need to fly home, then it's usually doesn't work out
- 3:16cheaper to wait. Instead just by as soon as
- 3:19possible unless if you want to go with them, a premium Airline
- 3:24if you're more flexible but otherwise like the budget
- 3:27Airlines like right now and wizard, they will start.
- 3:29Worked with like really cheap flights and then as you go
- 3:33closer to the dates, The Cheap Tickets will be taken.
- 3:36And then it'll become more and more expensive longer you.
- 3:38Wait, tips number 6 is to set up price alerts.
- 3:45So in flight search engines, you can usually set up a price alert
- 3:50for your search, so that when the price changes then you will
- 3:55get notified by email. So if you're not in a rush to
- 3:58book, this is Good way to keep track of where the price is.
- 4:03And when you see that it drops and you can be fast in their
- 4:06bucket, tip number seven is to pack light and travel carry on.
- 4:13It's crazy how many cheap flights they're out there in
- 4:17Europe. You can literally find a flight
- 4:19for the same price as your lunch.
- 4:22Like, I'm talking 15. $20 for a trip from London to Spain London
- 4:29to Italy. Lee.
- 4:30However, if you add a Shack in bag that could add up to $60 to
- 4:37the ticket price, making it sometimes cheaper to go with the
- 4:40premium Airline. So if you want to travel really
- 4:44cheaply like a lunch price cheap, the definitely only take
- 4:48a carry on with you I use of osprey, Fairview 40, it's really
- 4:54durable. It's a digital Nomad favorite
- 4:57and it fits the Of a carry-on, but make sure to check out the
- 5:03Airlines and the requirements. Because sometimes I could
- 5:06change, Ryanair is no longer accepting a cat.
- 5:10A big bigger carry-on bag if you don't upgrade to priority and
- 5:15you can only take like a little one, so make sure to check out
- 5:17their websites especially when it comes to Ryanair and wizard
- 5:21tips. Number eight, find the cheapest
- 5:24place to fly to. If you don't know where you want
- 5:27to go, you just want a vacation. You just Want to go somewhere
- 5:30else. Then in some of search engines
- 5:34such as SEC kiwi, you can actually just type in anywhere
- 5:38and it will show you a list of countries and how much it costs
- 5:41to go there and you'll get even like an interactive map where
- 5:45you can see like, okay to Moscow, is that prise De Paris
- 5:49is that prize pool? With this one, is cheap to to
- 5:51Madrid. I'm so that's super helpful.
- 5:53If you, not sure where you want to travel tips, number nine is
- 5:58to be flexible with Stopper. Ours, sure it's so much more
- 6:02convenient to fly directly without any stopovers, but you
- 6:07can save a lot of money with having stopovers.
- 6:10When you choose a flights with several stopovers faster.
- 6:15And also, the cost of airplane food, which can be really,
- 6:18really expensive or a hotel night.
- 6:21If you're planning to stay overnight at an airport that can
- 6:24also be really expensive, hotel X airports.
- 6:26If you're planning on sleeping in the airport's, then that's
- 6:30not always super nice and it's hard to get sleep done.
- 6:34There is a website called sleeping in airports of come
- 6:37there recommend you. Check out if you planning on
- 6:39sleeping an airport so you can find the best places to sleep in
- 6:43airplane in sorry the airport and if they have like sleeping
- 6:47pods or relaxed area, but generally I find that it's not
- 6:52worth it for me. If it means, I have to sleep
- 6:55over in the airport tip. Number ten use multiple.
- 6:59Airlines. When you book from a regular
- 7:02flight search engine, then when you see a flight with several
- 7:07stopovers, it will be from the same airline or same airline
- 7:13alliance. However, if you choose to have
- 7:18different airlines or from different alliances, then you
- 7:22can save a lot of money. So one way to do that, is to use
- 7:26the Kiwi.com flight search engine.
- 7:29Or you can just book one leg at a time.
- 7:32It's up to you really, but just make sure that you have at least
- 7:36two hours in between because you never know, flights, get
- 7:41cancelled, or get laid very often that's very common and
- 7:45then you don't have to rush to the airport and you because all
- 7:50you also need to check in your luggage again if you have a
- 7:52Shack in bag so you need that extra time.
- 7:55Kiwi has a guarantee so that if you book turkey with And you,
- 8:00you will get another flight. So but make sure to have at
- 8:05least two hours in between tip. Number eleven, use several
- 8:10search engines and here, of course, say talking about flight
- 8:14search engines, so you could be, you could try kiwi kayak
- 8:19Skyscanner. It's a good Swedish one that
- 8:22also has English called a floozy.
- 8:24Curious or booked Asia. I always check with several
- 8:27before I decide because I Always, always find that the
- 8:32price varies. There's always one that is
- 8:34cheaper, tip number 12, is to join a frequent flyer program.
- 8:40All Airlines have a frequent flyer program.
- 8:44So if you are Globetrotter or a digital Nomad like me, then I
- 8:47highly recommend that every time you buy a flight and it's from a
- 8:50new Airline sign up for their frequent flyer program.
- 8:54It doesn't cost you anything and that means that every time in
- 8:57the future when you travel with them you can't And points these
- 9:01points, you can then exchange for other flights airplane, food
- 9:06other products or freebies or upgrade to business class,
- 9:10right? Treat yourself to a business
- 9:12class ticket, why not tip number 13 is to use student discounts,
- 9:18so some Airlines and programs actually have student discounts
- 9:23and or like a youngster, it discounts.
- 9:26So for simple, Scandinavian Airlines have one.
- 9:30For I think if you're under 25 years old you get cheaper
- 9:33flights. I've used that many times when I
- 9:36was very young and Kilroy and sta travel also have student
- 9:43discounted flights tip number 14 is to pay in the airline's
- 9:49currency, the start by just going to a flight search engine,
- 9:53find the flight that you prefer, then go to the homepage of the
- 9:58airline and start for the Same flight.
- 10:01And now shange the currency to the currency of that country.
- 10:05So for let's say Norwegian are then you want to change to a New
- 10:09Vision crowns. It's not always as it becomes
- 10:13cheaper but quite often. So why not give it a little try
- 10:18tip? Number 15 is to buy flights in
- 10:21bulk. So if they, if you're going on a
- 10:23World trip or travel in a few countries in Europe, then it's
- 10:29usually Ali turns out cheaper if you get the multi-city option of
- 10:34that flight search engine. So in, for example, let's say
- 10:36you want to go to Budapest Paris and Madrid, then it's better to
- 10:41put those all into the multi sitter City function, instead of
- 10:46buying one leg at a time. Do you know any other flight
- 10:50hacks? I love to hear in the comments
