- 0:00Welcome to World View Matters, discussing controversial issues, discerning current events,
- 0:10defending biblical Christianity.
- 0:13No topic, off limits.
- 0:16And now, here's your host, David Fiorazo.
- 0:19Hey friends and family in Christ, thank you so much for tuning in for sharing the podcast.
- 0:24I want to thank a few people who have sent in some donations recently and we're not
- 0:28even doing our fundraiser yet, but I want to thank Belinda from Winterville, North Carolina.
- 0:34God bless you, Belinda, shout out to North Carolina.
- 0:37Also, Jeannie from Green Bay, Wisconsin, thank you guys so very much.
- 0:43Every contribution, every donation helps and it does matter and we really, really appreciate
- 0:49it because we're obviously nonprofit, viewer, listener supported.
- 0:53I want to bring in our guest today.
- 0:55I love this brother in Christ, Tony Garoule of Radical Truth, the website is RadicalTruth.net.
- 1:03He's a busy man, he really focuses on apologetics, on evangelism and I would consider him an
- 1:10expert on Islam and how to witness to Muslims and so much more, but Tony, good to see your
- 1:15brother.
- 1:16Thank you so much for being with us today.
- 1:19Thanks so much, Dave.
- 1:20It's always great to be with you in your audience.
- 1:21Yes.
- 1:22Thank you.
- 1:23Thank you for taking out a conference recently and something you shared before we got on the
- 1:28area here was very interesting to me as far as how many people are starting to get into
- 1:33apologetics.
- 1:34Well, what's that about?
- 1:35Where were you and what happened?
- 1:37Yeah, well, just let me let everyone know who's isn't aware that apologetics doesn't
- 1:41mean that we're apologizing for being Christians.
- 1:43Apologetics is based on first Peter 315, which says always be prepared to give it a fence
- 1:48for the reason and the hope that lies within you, but do it with gentleness and respect.
- 1:51So in apologetics conferences, what we do is we give evidence for Christianity, evidence
- 1:57to defend the Christian worldview, lodging using logic and reason.
- 2:01And I was as I said, a apologetics conference last week and it was great.
- 2:06It's always a blessing to be events and to equip the found as we continue to reach the
- 2:12loss at the same time when we're outside the church, but basically I spoke twice at an
- 2:17apologetics conference and the first talk that I gave, the room was about half full.
- 2:21And that was on Islam and the new, there's a brand new presentation called what Muslims
- 2:26need to know.
- 2:27Actually, it's what Christians need to know as well as far as the latest cutting edge
- 2:31archeological, historical and so on evidence that's destroying the traditional story of
- 2:37Islam.
- 2:38I would have liked to see that room full because that just means that's many more Christians
- 2:42who are interested in getting the gospel to Muslims.
- 2:45But the second talk that I gave Dave, it became standing room only.
- 2:49And that talk was called why Christianity hard questions and real answers.
- 2:54And in that, I talk about a lot of different hot topics that come up when you're talking
- 2:58with skeptics and atheists and agnostics and all other non-Christians as well.
- 3:03And you're the beginning when people were still pouring in, I asked everyone, raise your
- 3:06hand if this is the first apologetics that you've ever, a apologetics conference that
- 3:11you've ever been to and everyone except two people raised their hand.
- 3:15So that was encouraging that more and more people, more Christians, I should say, are getting
- 3:20into apologetics.
- 3:21Because you figured the more you share your faith, the more you're going to hear rebuttals
- 3:25and questions from people.
- 3:27And you may not know that it's called apologetics, but you need to have answers to give to people
- 3:31to let them know that Christianity is a reasonable faith based on evidence.
- 3:35It's not blind faith.
- 3:36And that's what people usually think is they say, oh, an atheist might say, oh, I have evidence,
- 3:42you don't.
- 3:43To have faith as if evidence is the opposite of faith, but no, the opposite of faith is
- 3:48unbelief.
- 3:49The opposite of evidence is blind faith, basically.
- 3:53So basically Christianity is a reasonable faith based on evidence.
- 3:58And as Christians are learning more about that, they're getting more excited about that.
- 4:02And I tell people that I know a lot of evangelists because evangelism was the first niche of ministry
- 4:08that I got into when I received that gospel track from a total stranger 20 years ago.
- 4:12But when I got involved in street evangelism and open air preaching and all of that, I heard
- 4:17the rebuttals and questions from people that I didn't know was called apologetics, but
- 4:21I knew I need to have answers to give to people.
- 4:23After I got into Bible college and started focusing on apologetics, then I realized there's
- 4:28a whole lot of apologists out there too.
- 4:31And the thing is Dave, and this is a, I'm just thinking about all the evangelists and
- 4:36apologists that I know.
- 4:38It seems on average evangelists are a lot more excited about apologetics than apologists
- 4:44are about evangelism.
- 4:46And Christians need to be doing both.
- 4:47It doesn't matter if you want to call yourself an evangelical apologetic evangelist or evangelical
- 4:53apologists, we just need to be proclaiming the gospel and defending the faith when necessary.
- 4:59You know, what you shared, it's really encouraging to me in many ways, but I've been writing
- 5:06about the silent church generally for over a decade, longer than that.
- 5:13And it's encouraging to me that more people showed up for that conference on apologetics
- 5:19because that means they want to learn how to respond, meaning they do want to be ready
- 5:24to give an answer for the hope that they have in Christ.
- 5:28And they probably are going to be maybe looking for those conversations.
- 5:32And that's where we all have to do better as the church, at least in America.
- 5:37We've been lukewarm for way too long, silent on important issues for way too long.
- 5:43So anyway, Tony, that really is encouraging to me.
- 5:46One of the things we wanted to talk about today was Israel has been a big topic, obviously.
- 5:51If you're a biblical Christian, Israel should be on your top priority list as far as supporting
- 5:57Israel, understanding the times, Bible prophecy.
- 6:02But what we've seen since last October 7 in the demonic attack by Hamas, on American
- 6:08soil, Tony Guruley, that's been one of the disturbing things, not surprising to me,
- 6:14but disturbing.
- 6:15When I say not surprising, you're probably not surprised either because you and I and
- 6:20others that we rub elbows with, so to speak, we understand the environment of American
- 6:25Christianity, the biblical illiteracy, we understand the culture, we understand the
- 6:30K through 12 miseducation, indoctrination center that will send kids to these universities
- 6:38to already be social justice, Marxists or activists or anti-Israel, anti-Christian, of course,
- 6:45they're taught that, they're programmed.
- 6:47So when they get there, and now they hear these talking points on Palestine, this
- 6:51is no surprise.
- 6:52So your thoughts on that before we dive into some articles?
- 6:55Yeah, as I showed with you before, we started the show as well, Dave.
- 6:59When I first saw all these different rages going on, which we're seeing that term being
- 7:05cute in all of these articles, a lot of these protests going on, for my flesh, I was
- 7:10like, okay, I've never seen a higher concentration of morons in my life.
- 7:14But then I thought, Lord, I know you love these people.
- 7:17I know that your son died for these people.
- 7:20I know that is your will that they come to repentance, turn from their sin and put their
- 7:24trust in Christ, your son.
- 7:26And I thought about, this is what I thought next day.
- 7:29I thought, okay, if there are approximately 1.6 billion Muslims throughout the world who
- 7:34are following the lies of Islam, which are approximately 1400 years old, why should
- 7:40we be surprised when we see a bunch of young, naive, demoralized, impressionable young
- 7:46people going to these different protests about Palestine, quote, unquote, when that propaganda
- 7:54is less than 100 years old, we shouldn't be surprised at all.
- 7:58As I've mentioned in some of our past interviews, this propaganda of Palestine and the term Palestinian
- 8:07being a synonym for Muslim is less than 100 years old, because the father of Palestinian
- 8:14nationalism was Hajami Al Hussaini, who was a disciple of Hassan Albana who created the
- 8:21Muslim Brotherhood in 1928.
- 8:25Hajami Al Hussaini was also a fan of Hitler and actually met with Hitler and it was his
- 8:31goal to have gas chambers built in the Middle East.
- 8:35He was a Muslim Nazi and the grand moofty of Jerusalem.
- 8:39He was also the uncle of Yasser Arafat.
- 8:42So no surprise about why Palestinian nowadays that term is referring to Muslim when it
- 8:50didn't.
- 8:51And in one of my slides in this new presentation, I let people know that the term that Palestine
- 8:57quote, unquote existed approximately 400 years before Muhammad was even born.
- 9:04Now if Islam began with Muhammad and Palestine existed 400 years before he was born, there's
- 9:10a problem there, especially for all these people running around thinking that Palestinian
- 9:16means Arab or Palestinian more specifically means Muslim.
- 9:22Around the year AD 130, there was a Jewish revolt and the Roman emperor Hadrian renamed this
- 9:30area, which was known as Judea and Galilee and Samaria as a read in the Bible.
- 9:35He renamed this territory, Palestine out of spite for the Jews.
- 9:41Now if Muslims didn't even exist, Palestine wasn't in reference to Muslims.
- 9:47What was in reference to the Philistines, the Philistines are who fought against the Israelites,
- 9:54the Jews in the Old Testament.
- 9:57So Palestine existed before Muhammad did.
- 10:00Now 2000 years later, we're looking at these people who are holding up signs, who I can
- 10:07tell you Dave right now, 80% of these kids don't even know what this is about, kind of
- 10:13like a new story that I know that we have planned to talk about.
- 10:16She asked her friend, oh, why are we here again?
- 10:18And her friend's like, I wish I was more educated.
- 10:21That's the case I guarantee you with about 80% of these people out here, okay?
- 10:26About 95% of the people out there have no clue about the true origin of the word Palestine
- 10:32that I just explained, right? So what does that leave?
- 10:34That leaves about 5% of people who are out there and who are those 5% of people?
- 10:39These are those paid actors.
- 10:42Those are the people out there who are trying to stir things up,
- 10:46trying to get this going, Islamists, communists, etc., a better known Dave as community organizers.
- 10:53Yeah. By the way, did you see in the videos on some of these Ivy League campuses or other
- 10:58college campuses where there's matching all these the same tents are lined up like dozens of the
- 11:05same exact, it's like that doesn't look too organic to me, right? It's like, come on,
- 11:11this is planned. It's well-funded by the left. And I thank you so much for revisiting that
- 11:18history about Hadrian and where Palestine comes from. I mean, wasn't Goliath a Philistine too,
- 11:25by the way? Anyway, it's interesting.
- 11:31Yeah. Dave, a lot of these kids, again, that they're out there, they're doing this,
- 11:36they don't even know what they're doing, why they're doing it. They're trying to be part of
- 11:39something bigger than themselves. Part of the group. Just like after 9-11, there are people who
- 11:44became Muslim because that's what was in the news. To them, it was better to be part of the group
- 11:50that's hated or whatever than to not be known at all. It's the same thing after certain people
- 11:55in the West became Muslims after October 7th. Why? Because it's a hot topic. And there's people
- 12:02who are trying to be part of something bigger than themselves. And that's what we're always
- 12:05pointing people to the gospel because you're looking to people, places, and things in this world
- 12:12to be fulfilled. And how can that happen when you were created by an infinite being to know,
- 12:18have? So if people want to be part of something bigger than themselves, then they should repent,
- 12:23turn from their sin, put their trust in Christ and become a child of God because he's the creator
- 12:27of the heavens and the earth and the universe and this world that we live in, which is fallen.
- 12:32And that's why we see all that's happening in it. By the way, we need to take a brief pause.
- 12:38We're with Tony Garouli of Radical Truth. I want to mention that article that you referred to,
- 12:42a student protester, it's on your website, at NYU, New York University, appears unaware. Why she's
- 12:50even there at the protest. And it says, as it often happens, young progressives will flock to
- 12:56a protest or cause without understanding all the details. They just know that all their friends
- 13:01on the left are doing it. Therefore, it must be a good cause. That tells us that they were trained
- 13:08and discipled well as social justice activists by the K through 12
- 13:14indoctrination system in America. That's just my two cents. We'll be right back with Tony Garouli.
- 13:37If you're interested in sponsoring the show, send us an email. Our producer will get right back to you.
- 13:41It is World View Matters at FPEUSA.org. And let us know if you're interested,
- 13:48and know someone who might be a business, a ministry. We just thank you for that. Thank you for the
- 13:52support and shout out to you. So Tony, there's an article at the Washington Examiner that goes hand
- 14:00in hand with one on your website on Speaker Mike Johnson. He faced chance and booze when he went to,
- 14:07I think it was at Columbia University, but pro-Palestinian protesters tried to drown him out
- 14:14in the Republican speech, as I should say, the Republicans that were speaking there. And they were
- 14:20trying to get the president of Columbia to resign due to the anti-Semitism on campus. And you have
- 14:28an article saying, Speaker Johnson visits Columbia, pro-Hamas, protesters are full of rage,
- 14:34but don't know what they're talking about. Share a little bit more about that.
- 14:38As I said before, Dave, a lot of these students are out there not knowing why they're out there.
- 14:42Maybe it's because, I mean, I saw some videos. I'm not sure if you saw this either day, but
- 14:45in this might have been Texas, I believe. But there's numerous different, there's numerous
- 14:49different news stories on our site about these protests taking place on different campuses.
- 14:54And again, it's being stirred up by the paid actors, by the Islamists who are trying to push the
- 15:01Islamic worldview portion of this, which is, and includes, that Palestinian,
- 15:08referring to Muslim, it's that they're oppressed. But I have a number of videos that are on my
- 15:14Bitshu channel created by a guy who did a lot of in-depth documentaries in Palestine. Now,
- 15:22not just the areas that you see about, you know, you talk about people saying these things are
- 15:26going on in Gaza, the Palestinian territories, that people are starving and all these other things.
- 15:33People need to ask themselves, what is the reason for that? Who has the money? Because what is
- 15:38the lifestyle like of a lot of the people who live in there who aren't in the places that are
- 15:45filmed for the proper, again, the purposes? So again, I would point people to the three or four
- 15:49documentaries on Palestine that are on our Bitshu channel and our other channels as well. But what
- 15:54Johnson is talking about here is the fact that many of these young people, they do have the right
- 15:59to protest. It's not just about this, they have the right to process about anything they want to
- 16:03protest about. But the thing is, is that people need to realize, and especially these young people,
- 16:08that when they start to break laws in this protest, well, then it's no longer a protest and it's no
- 16:14longer legal. There's a video that I saw, it was just yesterday, where these students are trying
- 16:20to push the police back out of this building that they pretty much took over and are trying to
- 16:26control. And they're, one of them is hitting, got one that's like a big like five gallon water,
- 16:30plastic water bottles, that they're starting to hit police with and stuff. So in certain states,
- 16:37you're going to have police who are actually cracking down on this and other states, they're just
- 16:41going to let people do whatever they're doing, just like during the BLM and Antifa and all that
- 16:45stuff. And it's the same, same mindset of just rebellion and just another topic to be distracted
- 16:53by based on all that's going on in the world. Yes. And it shades of the Black Lives Matter Global
- 17:00Network Foundation protests when lawlessness rained in our city streets for at least that whole
- 17:06summer, a couple of years ago. But so there's another article over at the Washington Times,
- 17:12Kerry Pickett wrote one that said GOP senators are urging Biden to mobilize the national guard
- 17:19to protect Jewish college students. So thank you to senators Josh Hawley and Tom Cotton.
- 17:26And those are just two, but you've got several on your website, Tony and the one about Speaker
- 17:31Johnson is there. People can will find that and read that a little bit more. It's really fascinating.
- 17:37Go ahead. Yeah. Another one I'm trying to think of the guy's name, but he basically came out and
- 17:42said he told basically these liberal colleges that you need to quell these out of hand protests,
- 17:48you're actually going to lose federal funding. So we'll see what happens with that. Yes, that may
- 17:52have been Rand Paul, but don't quote me on that. But there were some, yeah, some senators and some
- 17:56that they're really trying to say, how far are we going to let this go? Okay. So let me just ask you
- 18:03so we got headlines. Columbia University extends deadline for student anti-Semitic encampment
- 18:10to disperse. In other words, they're not going to force them to disperse. They're giving them
- 18:14more time over at Princeton University students. They're preparing to hold an encampment and they
- 18:20have a list of demands. Tony over at Princeton Harvard students ignore warnings, pitching tents and
- 18:26Harvard yard and CBS and others covered that. Now let's go over to an article on your website and
- 18:32contrast what's happening in these Ivy League schools with Texas. This is awesome. Texas state
- 18:38troopers lay down the law forcefully disperse pro Hamas protesters at the University of Texas
- 18:47Austin. Very interesting, interesting to me, as you said, Tony, they are different states,
- 18:52different universities handling it different ways, your thoughts. Well, basically I said people
- 18:59have the right to protest and that's one of the freedoms that people have in America that they
- 19:02wouldn't have in other countries. Look what happens in Iran when the Iranians basically rise up
- 19:08against the regime, well then they are persecuted by the police even though they're Iranians or even
- 19:14though they're Muslims or whatever. Here in America people have the freedom and a lot of people
- 19:18who are coming to America want American freedom because America has a freedom that is not available
- 19:23anywhere else in the world and that's why Ronald Reagan said if we lose freedom here there's
- 19:27nowhere else to escape to. It's the last stand on earth. So people have the right to protest but
- 19:33they have to do it peacefully and not break laws while they're doing it. Now our job as Christians
- 19:40is to get the truth to these people. Dave, the Harvard, there's different universities that you
- 19:45just named. Those were founded by Christians for the purpose of teaching the Bible. So look how far
- 19:53we've fallen. They were founded by Christians and look what's happening there now. We have
- 19:58godless young people who are even if they're not a lot of them aren't Muslims but they're
- 20:04following for the Islamic propaganda of the Islamic worldview not even knowing the doctrine of
- 20:11Fittra that every person's born Muslim but just a short term Islamic history of Palestinian means
- 20:19Muslim that all this territory used to belong to Muslims and that was stolen by Jews and so on.
- 20:25I've told people before episode 36 of our TV show and podcast it's called Israel of Palestine
- 20:31which is it and that will give people the true history of this territory because it was part of
- 20:38the Ottoman Empire and when that fell that was given over to the British to administer and then
- 20:44they decided to start the state of Israel because guess what Jews were driven out of that area
- 20:50between biblical times and Islamic expansion so the state of Israel was a place for Jews to go to.
- 20:56Now in our presentations including my newest one I have a world map of Israel but everything that
- 21:03surrounds Israel because there are 58 countries Islamic countries part of the OIC the organization
- 21:11of his Islamic cooperation surrounding Israel now when you get a bird's eye view or even further
- 21:18out technically because you can see all of Africa in the Middle East when you get that type of view
- 21:23when you see how small Israel is we have to ask ourselves if it was all about land couldn't any of
- 21:29these 58 Islamic countries to say hey Palestinian slash Muslims come here because we're going to give
- 21:36you a whole bunch of land no it's not about land it's about Islamic Jew hatred which began with
- 21:42Muhammad himself yeah so people need to know that it's about hatred of the people it's not about
- 21:48this little tiny piece of land because if it was about land they could be given land by a ton of
- 21:56different countries there's even a couple of countries in South America that belong to the OIC
- 22:05they are bigger than the Palestinian territories they could give land to the Muslims but the thing is
- 22:11is that we need to quit doing Muslims a favor and acting as if Palestinian means Muslim because it
- 22:17doesn't right a Palestinian a Palestinian the true Palestinian and that day this is something
- 22:22else that happened to the apologetics conference I met a Jew this girl sure she's from Ukraine
- 22:28she had family who died in the Holocaust she just recently repented and put her trust in Christ
- 22:33so she's a messianic Jew now and I asked her I said has anyone ever told you or what would you say
- 22:39if I told you that you are the true Palestinian and she said that would be wild and I told her
- 22:47about Hadrian renaming this territory Palestinian and that Palestinians were anyone who was born
- 22:55and living in that land because in the early 1900s Jews reclaimed the name Palestinian for themselves
- 23:03because they were driven out so there was Arab Palestinians there was Jewish Palestinians there
- 23:08was other people who were Palestinians because it was only referring to people who was born and living
- 23:13in that land when Jews went back to that area they paid money for the territories that they were
- 23:19living in and as more Jews came there were more Muslims came there too and again the propaganda that
- 23:27Palestinian means Muslim and that Palestine is stolen territory is less than 100 years old because
- 23:37people don't need to go back 100 years they need to go back 2000 years and if they don't want to go
- 23:43back 2000 years at least go back more than 100 because 100 is where the Islamic propaganda began
- 23:50so Tony to get some of those programs you mentioned do you just go to radicaltruth.net and then click
- 23:58a hover over videos is that the best way to get to it yeah you can go to any of our video channels
- 24:04and just find the sermon called what is Islam who is a law and what is the Christian response
- 24:09with the Israel Palestine update because that will include some of that however this brand new
- 24:14presentation that I just gave it and apologize conference called what Muslims need to know that will
- 24:19soon be available on video and audio it's not yet but that has some of the most cutting-edge
- 24:25information about the lies of Islam that people need to know about so another thing that it
- 24:30confuses a lot of people Tony here in America that we have been giving at least since the Obama
- 24:36administration billions of dollars to Iran correct me I what does Iran IRA and what does that
- 24:44stand for again is that Islamic Republic right Iran is basically mostly Shia where Saudi Arabia is
- 24:55mostly Sunni so they're all Muslims they all have the goal of having the world under Islamic law
- 25:00but Sunnis and Shias hate each other because of their differing opinion on who the true
- 25:04successors of Muhammad were so Sunnis say any successor of Muhammad who's voted in
- 25:11is a legitimate successor Shias or Iran says only blood relatives of Muhammad are legitimate
- 25:18successors and since if you look at Islamic history after Muhammad died you had Abu Bakr, Umar,
- 25:25Uthman and Ali and Ali was blood a blood relative of Muhammad so she is say only the fourth
- 25:32cal the fourth caliph or the fourth successor was the first legitimate successor to Muhammad where
- 25:38Sunnis which is about 90% of Muslims in the world say no they're all legitimate successors whether
- 25:43they're blood related or not so even though Sunnis and Shias hate each other for that reason which is
- 25:49mainly political not theological they're working together in the West because as I've said before
- 25:55Dave the enemy my enemies my friend that's why you'll have Islamists Sunni Shia working with communists
- 26:01working with Marxists working with socialists etc the red green alliance which we've done an
- 26:07episode of our show on in the past as well because the common goal is to destroy American freedom
- 26:13destroy America as we know it and bring it under something else whether that's communism or
- 26:18Islamism and we know obviously the most important thing is that God's in control nothing happens
- 26:24without God allowing it or causing it and the gospel the Lord Jesus Christ is what we need to share
- 26:28with everybody because the gospel is a solution to all the world's problems including Islamism
