- 0:15Hello and welcome to Arguing Ever After.
- 0:18I'm Luke and this is Amber. Hello.
- 0:20Together we're the Lord and Lady who lock horns.
- 0:23The count and Countess of contention.
- 0:25The Duke and Duchess of Disagreement.
- 0:26And the king and queen of quarrels.
- 0:28In this podcast, we bicker about all things big and small, and we
- 0:32let the audience vote determine who the winner is.
- 0:36Many of our topics are frequently submitted by our
- 0:38listeners, which we like, so if you have anything you want us to
- 0:42battle about, please send it to us at
- 0:44arguingeverafter@gmail.com. Yeah, please do.
- 0:47Please do because we are 40 episodes in. 40.
- 0:51I know it's amazing. Lordy, lordy, look who's 40.
- 0:54It's us, it's us. I've had that birthday.
- 0:58Yeah, Yeah, you did. You did.
- 1:00You're. I did.
- 1:01Slightly past that, I haven't. We'll see in a.
- 1:04Couple. There it is when I get there,
- 1:05yeah. It's perpetually just stuck at
- 1:0827. I don't know why.
- 1:10Must be tough. I I wish I had the joints of you
- 1:16wish I had. About that hair of my 27 year
- 1:19old self. Yeah.
- 1:20And you know the body because I've had a number of surgeries
- 1:23since then. Right, right.
- 1:24Well, no, You had a lot of knee stuff.
- 1:26But I like where my brain is at. There you go.
- 1:29And you know, the whole the mind, body, spirit thing minus
- 1:32the body part. And I guess I'm fine with where
- 1:35my body's at. I've also grown more capable
- 1:37since then. There you go.
- 1:39Doing marathon bike rides and stuff.
- 1:41You probably could have done it then, you just didn't feel.
- 1:43That's true. I probably could have.
- 1:45Yeah. Well, OK.
- 1:46You were, you've always been healthy, Ish.
- 1:50In that type of an arena, I don't think you've ever not.
- 1:52I'll take it healthy ish. I mean, I don't think you've
- 1:54ever not been able to do that with the right training in your
- 1:58life. I don't think you've overcome
- 2:00like extreme. I don't know what the word is,
- 2:04I'm looking there. But I think at any point in your
- 2:07life you could have trained to do it, to do what you've done
- 2:09with your biking. Thank you.
- 2:11You're welcome. I don't think at any point in my
- 2:14life I could have 100. Luke likes these bike rides that
- 2:19are like 100 miles and that's just that's amazing.
- 2:23But also. Hours and hours and hours on a
- 2:27bike saddle. Yeah, yeah.
- 2:30Well, anyhow, I don't like that particular part of it.
- 2:34Well, but being able to do that, you know, plus 40, when I was a
- 2:37kid, I thought 40 was dead, so. Yeah, for sure.
- 2:40Certainly no one I knew who was 40 could have possibly done
- 2:43that. Well, like when we were kids,
- 2:45our parents were 40, right? You know, like that was like a
- 2:48whole nother generation. Right.
- 2:50Well, your parents were 40. OK.
- 2:52Yeah, Yeah. You had one that was 30 and one
- 2:55that was 60. I mean, OK, sure, sure.
- 2:58Not quite that. You want to talk trash?
- 3:01I'm just. Saying no, I'm just saying that
- 3:04that not everybody has the same age.
- 3:06Parents, that's true. So but but no, I I think that 40
- 3:14has not been terrible and episode 40 I'm hoping is not
- 3:17terrible but I know it won't be there.
- 3:20It is because our last episode gained a little traction.
- 3:25Yes. And I'm thinking that it's going
- 3:27to continue. I'm I'm not sure what the
- 3:31contributing factor is, but we had a few countries hop on
- 3:35board. Countries and.
- 3:37It could be that we had a shout out on the Ridiculous Crime
- 3:41podcast, which has a huge audience.
- 3:44And thank you, ridiculous. Crimes, yes.
- 3:48I don't know if maybe it was self-imposed, but either way
- 3:50they what's. Their club called.
- 3:53The rude dudes, the rude dudes. It's not a club, but.
- 3:56You're a rude dude. I'm a rude dude cuz I'm a fan.
- 3:59There it is. Can we come up with a catchy
- 4:01name for our people? We gotta work on that.
- 4:04Yeah, yeah, we'll have to work. We're gonna put that in the
- 4:07oven. Yeah, yeah.
- 4:08Put that on the vision board of coming up with the name for our
- 4:12audience, OK. Or maybe they could come up with
- 4:14one for themselves. That would be interesting.
- 4:17But anyhow, so I don't know if it's that or if it was our last
- 4:21episode asked such a big question about being can you be
- 4:26engaged too long? That was, yeah, that was a
- 4:29question, yeah. We often float around on like
- 4:34way low impact questions. Yep.
- 4:36Like I don't know what kind of toppings you should have on your
- 4:39pizza. I mean.
- 4:41That which that's hey, you can get we we can get a little
- 4:44feisty on that, but. We can.
- 4:46Engagement is something that is definitely more the weightier.
- 4:53Right. People have a stronger opinion
- 4:55about their life. Now if we had an episode about
- 4:58could you get engaged to a pizza, I feel like that would be
- 5:01less weighty. I mean, the answer to that is
- 5:05yes. I don't know.
- 5:06Should you is a whole? That's a situation we might have
- 5:11a question at some point of should you, could you get
- 5:13married to an AI? Because people are doing that
- 5:16now. Like actually I think that's
- 5:18happened like in a couple places.
- 5:20I'm writing it down. I hate it cuz I hate AI but.
- 5:24Don't tell them that they're listening.
- 5:26Good, good listen, AI marriage. I don't know.
- 5:32I think marriage is hard enough. What if it's connected to a
- 5:35robot? What do you mean?
- 5:37Like it's an AI inside of the robot.
- 5:40Well, how else would it be? Like there's people that have
- 5:43virtual marriages to like AI. Oh gosh, without a physical
- 5:48presence, OK Dang, you didn't even know.
- 5:50That no, we're, I'm gonna have to do some research and we're
- 5:53gonna have to talk about. This a lot of research.
- 5:55This feels like a unethical thing, but maybe it's not.
- 6:00I don't know. I'm gonna have to do some
- 6:02looking into that. It's worth looking into it.
- 6:04Might be a good thing for a bonus episode so people don't
- 6:07know what it's coming. Out that could be.
- 6:09I'm ready to record it right after this one.
- 6:12Well, anyhow, what I wanted to do though was say hello to our
- 6:16new countries cuz it's we've like I said, we've we've gotten
- 6:20a little extra there more than I think we've ever had in one in
- 6:23the distance of 1 episode. But I wanted to start off by
- 6:29saying where they are. You can say hello.
- 6:31And I wanna share. A couple of facts cuz usually we
- 6:33do a little bit of research about the countries to just get
- 6:35to know who are new friends are. And as the loyal listeners know,
- 6:41the researcher is not me. Yeah, yeah.
- 6:43Except for the how do you say hello?
- 6:45So here we go. OK.
- 6:47We've got. Our first country.
- 6:49You wanna name the countries? Go.
- 6:51Well, I'm gonna let the folks guess and then, then I'll.
- 6:56Say, have they guessed? Now, no, they haven't.
- 6:58They haven't yet. OK, so this is an S shaped
- 7:01island. Oh, it's like a trivia this.
- 7:02Is fun. New fun.
- 7:05We can add trivias. I don't know why I'm excited.
- 7:07OK, go. OK, so this country is an S
- 7:09shaped island. Wait, do I get?
- 7:11Do I get to guess? Let's.
- 7:12See, I mean you, you know the three, but you'll.
- 7:15Get yeah so I'm semi semi cheating.
- 7:17I feel like you already know the answer based on that.
- 7:19But wait wait wait. You're right, I do.
- 7:20It is the second largest coffee producer.
- 7:25Oh. And it has the world's largest
- 7:28cave. I mean, I know the answer, but
- 7:33dramatic pause for the audience to to think, toss their guesses
- 7:36around. Yeah, and if you want to think a
- 7:38little bit longer, you can just pause it for a second and come
- 7:40back once you have your answer. OK.
- 7:43And the answer is Vietnam. You're correct.
- 7:46Ding, Ding, Ding. I win, What do I win?
- 7:49The opportunity to say hello. OK.
- 7:52And how you say hello, there are a few different ways as there
- 7:55are in most places, but the way that I learned from my very
- 7:59intensive research was Shin Chao.
- 8:03There it is. That's hello in Vietnamese.
- 8:06Hello with probably terrible pronunciation but I'll I'll do
- 8:10my best every time. Hello new friends.
- 8:12Hello to Vietnam. All right, so now I have the
- 8:16next one for you, OK. And again you.
- 8:19Know this might be tougher. This might be tougher.
- 8:21I'll maybe I'm going to think about it, OK?
- 8:25It has the Southern hemisphere's highest peak.
- 8:31OK, I think I know the answer. It is the world's eighth largest
- 8:36country. The world's yeah Dang wait.
- 8:40By mass or population. I'm thinking mass.
- 8:43I so we don't know I. Don't know what the population
- 8:46is. I usually would say like the
- 8:48world's eighth population or something.
- 8:50So this is probably like geographically the largest piece
- 8:54of the map. I would think so. 8th according
- 8:57to the Internet. I definitely know the answer.
- 8:59OK. And it is.
- 9:01But not cuz of that. It's the birth place of tango.
- 9:07Do you know what it's also the birth place of?
- 9:10No. I'm going to throw a couple more
- 9:12pieces of trivia. And you know what?
- 9:14For our listening audience, these might be more challenging
- 9:17questions. OK, OK.
- 9:19It is the birth place of legendary legendary soccer
- 9:25player. I would have no idea, Messi.
- 9:30Yes. Oh, look at.
- 9:31That you answered it without even.
- 9:33I'm so proud. Of you though, the only name I
- 9:35know. Lionel Messi.
- 9:38Hold on while I just tell the world that the greatest soccer
- 9:43player of all time, Lionel Messi, is from this country and
- 9:50his predecessor, also legendary Diego Maradona.
- 9:57Also, I don't know who that is. Legendary soccer player.
- 10:00But I do know of one other that is definitely not from this
- 10:04country. OK wait, what?
- 10:06So we're doing non trivia now. I'm just gonna go with the other
- 10:09soccer player, no. Which is this is not gonna be
- 10:12good, OK. Beckham, David Beckham.
- 10:15Yeah, but why does that have anything?
- 10:17To do nothing. You were talking about soccer.
- 10:19Players, brief pause, right? For Amber.
- 10:21We're gonna pause, Amber, and we're gonna just let you guys
- 10:24think for a second. If you don't already have an
- 10:26answer, soccer person, just ignore the fact that you're
- 10:30England. What do you stop it anyway?
- 10:32OK, brief pause. No, no, no, no.
- 10:36OK, the answer is Argentina. You are correct.
- 10:40And how you say in Argentina, and I've said this a few times,
- 10:43when we've added some countries from the Southern Hemisphere
- 10:45over here in the Americas, it's Hola.
- 10:50Yes. Which is different than the
- 10:51other two or three times I've said it.
- 10:53Yeah, now. Let's have some trivia for the.
- 10:57Third final run I wasn't going to do because I didn't.
- 11:01I was thinking, me, I mean, I was going to do, but I was
- 11:04waiting to laugh. You said Beckham.
- 11:07That's the only one I just. Random soccer.
- 11:09Player Yeah, you're saying soccer names?
- 11:11That's how I felt. It was random.
- 11:14Wait, fun side tidbit. Did you know that Lionel Messi,
- 11:18the great Leo, currently plays for Miami in the Major League
- 11:24Soccer of the United States? OK, well, you know, maybe many
- 11:29people just learned that and you are included.
- 11:32Did you know the owner of that team is David Beckham?
- 11:36All right, there you go. That's what I did A.
- 11:38Little a little 66 degrees of Kevin Bacon.
- 11:41I was pulling it full circle. Yeah for folks.
- 11:45Now this last one I waited cuz again you knew and I thought
- 11:48maybe I could throw you off with something there but so this one
- 11:53is the first UNESCO World Heritage site.
- 11:57Really. Yes.
- 11:59Interesting. It has the HIO Biodiversity per.
- 12:04Squares. Did I?
- 12:05Yeah, you said HIO Bio that's. Kind of bio.
- 12:08No, you said the fun way I. Was probably reading it
- 12:14verbatim. Nope, I did right right.
- 12:15The highest biodiversity per square kilometer.
- 12:21So that gives you a hint, because it's clearly not
- 12:23America, because we don't know what a kilometer is.
- 12:26Or, well, we probably do have some biodiverse states, but
- 12:31maybe, I don't know, per square kilometer is important.
- 12:35Yes, and then it is the closest country to the sun.
- 12:41What? Yeah.
- 12:43But I can't. It is.
- 12:46Your facts refute themselves. Let me, I'm gonna propose.
- 12:49What are you saying? Why do you think?
- 12:50That just listen, hear me out the sun, which is far, far away
- 12:55in space. So I'm.
- 12:58Gonna give you one more fact. Would not the highest place be
- 13:04the closest place? Like wouldn't Mount Everest be
- 13:07that's? A really great question.
- 13:09I feel like it's a fair. Question, but it's not the
- 13:11answer. You're wrong.
- 13:12Let's educate. You.
- 13:13So I'll give you one more fact. And it's gonna be like, of
- 13:16course, OK, It's named after the equator, as the country is split
- 13:21in half at the equator line. The equator is the closest to
- 13:27the sun. Now you get it.
- 13:31Yeah, cuz if like Antarctica had a 20 mile mountain, it's still
- 13:35not. Still not as close to the sun.
- 13:37Because of the spinning part. Yep.
- 13:40Interesting even I was thinking even Argentina, which is also a
- 13:43lot closer to the equator than Everest.
- 13:45But it is not. It is not I.
- 13:48Still want to. I want to double double check
- 13:50this after just for my own. You can.
- 13:52You don't have to, but. You, I know you did the
- 13:54research. I appreciate.
- 13:55That I did research. Closest to the sun.
- 13:58OK. Yes, yes.
- 14:00So now everybody's thought about it for a few seconds and the
- 14:04answer is Luke. Venezuela.
- 14:06No. Ecuador.
- 14:08Yeah. Dang it, you guys, I knew the
- 14:11answer. I knew it and I failed the test
- 14:16that the teacher said it's open book and I said look at that
- 14:20says equator and I my mouth said Venezuela.
- 14:25I should be kicked off the podcast, should just get sit one
- 14:31of the dogs here where I am and you can just go back and forth
- 14:36with them. I I really I'm shocked that.
- 14:40Well, I forgot you. Got that wrong.
- 14:41Well, you know, especially I really thought see Lucas really
- 14:46into like name origin. Yeah, and Equator and Ecuador
- 14:50are real similar, aren't they? Close.
- 14:51Close. So there you go.
- 14:53I mean if you got 2 right, you got the same as Luke.
- 14:57You beat. If you got if.
- 14:59You got on the screen, you beat me.
- 15:00You definitely beat Luke, who already knew the answers ahead
- 15:03of time. Dang, that so congratulations,
- 15:06but you gotta say hello. Oh yeah, and it's again
- 15:09different. You gotta listen.
- 15:11I'm listening. For the between Argentina and
- 15:13this one, it's different, Hola. All right, all right.
- 15:17Little bit different. It was a little different, yeah.
- 15:20Yeah. Yeah, I think I heard a little
- 15:22more of the tango in in Argentina.
- 15:25We were dancing. Yeah, yeah.
- 15:27So. So it's been a lot of fun to
- 15:29catch catch these new countries and like I've said.
- 15:33Catch them like a Pokémon yeah you love.
- 15:35Catching things I love. Catch them all, you do.
- 15:37I do, I do, but I definitely want to, you know, continue to
- 15:42learn. So, you know, keep keep inviting
- 15:45others around the world because it's it's forced me to learn
- 15:49something because I want to share information do.
- 15:53You remember that time I said the completely wrong place?
- 16:01Struggling. This does not bode well for my
- 16:04chances of accurately thinking and speaking words that win
- 16:09today. Well, here's the thing, I guess
- 16:13I really, you know, we all make mistakes.
- 16:17I said a high opio or. You did that.
- 16:19I feel a little better. Yeah, yeah, All right.
- 16:21I mean, that's exactly the same as knowing the answer and then
- 16:24all. Yes.
- 16:25The same highest biodiversity. Highest biased diversity.
- 16:30Yes, there you go. There you go.
- 16:32Anyhow, so that's a lot of fun. It's interesting.
- 16:34Highest biodiversity? I don't even know what that
- 16:36means. I'm gonna have like, I know what
- 16:37it means, but I don't know what it means.
- 16:39Like I just can't. It must mean most species.
- 16:45You're welcome. Thank you.
- 16:47Thank you. Am I redeeming myself?
- 16:48No, not at all, but I like how you're trying the sound like you
- 16:53got your stuff together. I'm trying so.
- 16:57Hard you are. It's OK.
- 16:58It's OK. You'll bring it back, I think
- 17:00probably later. OK.
- 17:02But you know, with the warmth and all of that, that we were
- 17:06just around because we were near the equator.
- 17:08This is a little fur. Mentally not, we weren't
- 17:10physically there, no, it's. Really unfortunate that.
- 17:12'D be nice. It's unfortunate.
- 17:15We'd we'd seen a play which we talked about recently, and they
- 17:19had been in Cuba in the play, and I was watching, you know,
- 17:23the, the, it's a play. It's not even Cuba.
- 17:26And I was like, oh, they look so warm.
- 17:29Yeah. And they look like they're
- 17:31having such a. Great time.
- 17:32They were dancing and there was little fake palm trees.
- 17:35And there's something about being closer to the equator, I
- 17:37think, that just makes people. It's party time, isn't it?
- 17:41Happier. Yeah.
- 17:42Yeah, I mean, is it? Well, I don't want to say
- 17:45anything about people too far away, because we're pretty far
- 17:47away. But sometimes we're grumpy.
- 17:49The cold makes us grumpy. Well, it's true when when it's
- 17:54very dark for a very long time and very cold, it affects the
- 17:58mood. Well, I mean, we're also far
- 18:03away from water, you know. Well, we aren't actually in
- 18:06Minnesota. We have more.
- 18:07So far away from big water. From big water.
- 18:09From salt water. That's better salt water cuz we
- 18:13we have big water too. Lake Superior, It's big.
- 18:15Yeah, you can't see across it. I mean depends how you look.
- 18:21Well. If you're looking just a little
- 18:22bit, OK, if you look out of the ocean, you can't be like, oh, I
- 18:29definitely can see across. Like if I look at this angle and
- 18:32I'm at this point, you can't, you can't see across the.
- 18:35That's cute. Wow.
- 18:38I know I am. Thank you.
- 18:39Thank. You.
- 18:40I know, but we seeing that I've also kind of had my mind on
- 18:47we've talked about vacation a lot let's.
- 18:48Go going anywhere. Oh, sorry.
- 18:51I thought you were gonna. I was agreeing.
- 18:52We can't, wanted you to say. We can't go anywhere right now.
- 18:56We're too busy with our podcast. Just simply couldn't.
- 19:01Yes. Tell them just we can't.
- 19:03There's no free time, so much podcasting.
- 19:06But I've been actually recently, we are also on WFNU Frogtown
- 19:11Radio with our older episodes and one of the, we've been kind
- 19:16of going through some of our spooky or woo woo stuff.
- 19:20And I thought, gosh, we love the woo woo.
- 19:23It might be time to look back at our topics and see if there's
- 19:27one that would fit for how we're feeling right now.
- 19:32And the one that came up is Luke doesn't know and he's not going
- 19:38to pass. The time I'm not saying the
- 19:39wrong country again, I'm not doing it.
- 19:45The one that came up that I have certainly had some thoughts
- 19:49about for a very, very, very long time is the Bermuda
- 19:52Triangle doesn't feel like it's got any Halloween factor to it.
- 19:57Feels like we want to be warm. It's warm there.
- 20:01It's warm there. So if we're going to talk about
- 20:04being warm, let's talk about being in a place like that.
- 20:07Let's talk about the Bermuda Triangle and.
- 20:11Let's talk about how on the Addams Family movie from the
- 20:171990s starring. I don't know.
- 20:22Hold on, give me a minute. I'm going to get.
- 20:23Angelica Houston. Yep.
- 20:26And Raul? Julia.
- 20:29Wow. And Wednesday.
- 20:33And Wednesday, Christina Richie. There it is, Richie.
- 20:37And Christopher Lloyd? That's true.
- 20:41And Pugsley, which I don't. Know Sorry Pugsley, sorry.
- 20:45This probably happens to him in real life all the time.
- 20:47I bet it does. Well, anyway, in that movie The
- 20:51great love of of Gomez and Morticia, he.
- 20:56Says many. Wonderful things.
- 20:58And in one of the scenes he says, I don't know exactly,
- 21:01something like Karami, do you remember Devil's Island, the
- 21:07Bermuda Triangle? And it sounded very romantic and
- 21:12a little bit spooky. A little.
- 21:14Yeah, that's my research. People, in case you're
- 21:16wondering, and also the I know one thing, what do you know?
- 21:20The island of. Bermuda is either in the
- 21:24triangle or or it's one of the parts of the triangle.
- 21:29There it is. OK.
- 21:32So sort of makes me an expert. I mean.
- 21:35I'm going to say both can be true.
- 21:37OK, which makes you right, Great.
- 21:39Because it is a part of the Bermuda Triangle.
- 21:43Therefore it would make Bermuda in the Bermuda Triangle, right?
- 21:47If it's a part, yeah, in for sure.
- 21:50And then it goes from there to Florida and Puerto Rico.
- 21:55It goes to Florida. It does go to Florida OR.
- 21:57Part of Florida. OK, why?
- 21:59Are you going to ask me something?
- 22:00Well, I don't know if it goes. Does it go to the southern tip
- 22:02of the great land mass or does it go to like the one of the
- 22:05keys? I actually.
- 22:08Know that information, but I'm not going to be able to pull it
- 22:11out right now. But I do know where like what
- 22:14part of Florida, but like I have like this issue and I'm sure I'm
- 22:22not alone, but maybe I am where like I look at a map and I can't
- 22:26really visualize that distance really cuz like what that even
- 22:30could possibly look like? What distance?
- 22:33But in that. Area the area of Oh, I thought.
- 22:36You had reference to distance. I I thought I had missed
- 22:38something. No, but I will tell.
- 22:40People, I'm excited how big it is.
- 22:42It's probably big. It is.
- 22:43How big? Would you guess it as a square
- 22:45square. Miles.
- 22:46Square miles, Yes. I don't know.
- 22:50I might. You mean triangle?
- 22:51Miles just get the shapes right, first of all.
- 22:54So it's a triangle, people. It's not a square.
- 22:57Can't be a square. The Bermuda square is, I'm going
- 23:01to say, 5000 square miles. Wow.
- 23:06See you also have the issue of the map being like.
- 23:10You just can't compute how much spatial distance 1000 square.
- 23:17Miles. I give up.
- 23:20No, it's. 1.5 million square miles is.
- 23:28That's because it's a. Triangle.
- 23:31The math is hard. That's what it is.
- 23:35We lost Amber to get a drink over there.
- 23:37But I'm telling you people, it's got to be the triangle factor.
- 23:41OK, wait. So part of the triangle is
- 23:43Bermuda, part of it's somewhere in Florida, part of where do you
- 23:47know? I think it's where the.
- 23:49Other triangle. Part is what do you mean like I?
- 23:52Think it's Are these the points? In the is it Bermuda, Florida
- 23:56and then unknown Puerto Rico is. Not unknown.
- 23:59Oh, Puerto Rico. Didn't I say Puerto Rico?
- 24:01Maybe. I think I did.
- 24:03I don't always listen. Yes.
- 24:04I definitely. Said Puerto Rico.
- 24:07Anyhow, so that's the area that we're looking at in the sea,
- 24:10which goes mostly. South from Florida to Puerto
- 24:12Rico and then out into the Caribbean to Bermuda and then
- 24:20back? Sure.
- 24:22Yes, OK. Yes.
- 24:24But would you have thought that, I mean like that sounds like a
- 24:27lot of square miles. It is a lot.
- 24:30I I mean. So it's a pretty big space.
- 24:32I guess I wasn't ever envisioning it being that large.
- 24:38Like I knew it was big, but I mean, I well, that just means
- 24:41like it's. 1000 miles. I don't know we're.
- 24:46Not stop doing the math, Luke, because zeroes 1000 carry the 2,
- 24:51so maybe it's like. Each side of the triangle is
- 24:54like 700 miles. It's.
- 24:58Really large. It's for all you geographers.
- 25:00And cartographers out there, I apologize deeply, I mean.
- 25:04If you heard and. All you mathematicians and math
- 25:07teachers, again, deepest apologies for me who?
- 25:11Was your geometry teacher? I don't know but triangle.
- 25:14Math is first shirt different than square math is true.
- 25:23There's some good ones on here. I think maybe we should get that
- 25:25on a T-shirt. OK, Yep.
- 25:28Yep. So write that down too.
- 25:30We gotta. Have T-shirt ideas?
- 25:31We'll throw a We made some T-shirts.
- 25:33Arguing ever after. Maybe we'll do a do like an
- 25:36arguing ever after logo on the front and then triangle and.
- 25:41Then random. Stuff that we've said on quotes
- 25:44in the back different. Triangle math is.
- 25:46Different than square math than square math all.
- 25:49Right. All right.
- 25:50You can quote Luke on that. Good, I hope.
- 25:53I hope the people do, but. Anyhow, so it's a pretty large
- 25:57area. I was not thinking it was, I
- 25:59mean, I knew it was large, but I mean, like it's, it's pretty
- 26:02large. And, and in this area for those
- 26:06who don't know, because we do have some younger listeners who
- 26:09maybe don't have the education on this because you're not
- 26:11really going to learn this in elementary school or anything.
- 26:14I did because I was super smart. And I've said this before and I
- 26:20got some additional opportunities to learn outside
- 26:23of regular learning. And one of the things I learned
- 26:28about was the Bermuda Triangle in, you know, 3rd or 4th grade.
- 26:33I didn't I. Didn't.
- 26:34I? Don't think I did.
- 26:35I did. Did.
- 26:36I I don't. I don't remember, I don't know.
- 26:38But you know, it's kind of interesting because I I feel,
- 26:42oh, he just did AI thought of something.
- 26:44Else I remembered about the Bermuda Triangle.
- 26:48This is my other non research part of my knowledge base.
- 26:53The great song by The Beach Boys, you've already said.
- 26:57This. No, I didn't.
- 26:58Oh, you. Didn't.
- 26:58No, not on the podcast. I talked about it before.
- 27:01Oh, OK. At some point with the part
- 27:03where they say Bermuda Bahama, Yeah, come on, baby Mama.
- 27:08No. Yeah.
- 27:09How did you fail 1/3 time today? That's it.
- 27:13That's not. Kilara.
- 27:15Montego, baby, why don't we go? Come on.
- 27:19Pretty Mama, baby Mama, you guys I broke.
- 27:27Amber, I was so excited. This is great.
- 27:31I think that's the first time I really got you on the podcast.
- 27:36Now you know why she. Stays with me people for so
- 27:39long, I know this. Is it?
- 27:41But you're cute. Though, Yeah, yeah.
- 27:43There it is. Oh gosh.
- 27:45So. So anyhow, that is for back
- 27:47checkers. It is.
- 27:50Come on, pretty Mama. Well, unless you're.
- 27:53Modifying a little bit? Nope.
- 27:55Nope. So okay, there's I have tears.
- 28:01God. Who?
- 28:04Well. Anyhow.
- 28:06We're going to recover from this.
- 28:07Sounds like you haven't. Learned that much about the
- 28:09Bermuda it's in the. Song OK, No it didn't.
- 28:12Bermuda is. In the song Bermuda is Yes.
- 28:15But I haven't heard much about it actually recently, and I feel
- 28:19like it was something I heard a lot more about when I was
- 28:21younger. I think there was like.
- 28:23A moment it had. A moment which maybe was that
- 28:25tied to the Addams family? No, no.
- 28:28But you want to know so so there was a book written in 1970 about
- 28:36the Bermuda Triangle. OK, which kind?
- 28:38Of started. This whole interest at the
- 28:41larger level of the world. See that for a second.
- 28:45At the larger. Level of the world where they
- 28:49are suddenly interested in these mysterious, spooky things there
- 28:53are a lot of. Mysterious doings there are.
- 28:56There are and like, do you want to know what some of those
- 29:00mysterious things were? Do I?
- 29:02Yeah. OK.
- 29:03So as early as like the 1800s, you know, when there were lots
- 29:08of ships going all over the world, you know the ships and
- 29:12that's isn't. That prime, like pirate
- 29:15territory? Yeah, well.
- 29:17I mean it's a part of the whole East India trading.
- 29:18Company situation and all that business in the 1800s.
- 29:21Lots of ships got lost at sea. Anywhere, anywhere across the
- 29:25entire world. It's huge.
- 29:27It's bigger than even 1. Point 5,000,000 square miles.
- 29:30Yep, Yep, and. Actually at 1.0 there was a a
- 29:34ghost ship that was supposedly although I believe in ghosts it.
- 29:39Wasn't. There was a ghost ship and
- 29:42really that that people had thought had been in in the
- 29:47Bermuda Triangle, but they later on determined it wasn't.
- 29:50But what was really interesting is that when they found the ship
- 29:53and it was off of somewhere in Europe, I think that they found
- 29:57the ship, but they thought you were going to say.
- 29:58One Eyed Willie and the Goonies. No, Dang it, but when they.
- 30:02Got to the ship when they found this abandoned ship there was
- 30:07still a can of beans cooking and a pipe smoking.
- 30:12What? I know right?
- 30:14Hold on. Hold the phone.
- 30:16Wait, where did they find this? It was like off somewhere.
- 30:18In Europe, near Spain I believe, but they had said it had
- 30:22originated. It would like it had.
- 30:23Shipwrecked. No.
- 30:25No, like on the shore. No.
- 30:27Where did they find the ship just.
- 30:29In the water, I don't. Know just appeared in the in the
- 30:31water. Yeah, floating.
- 30:33Yeah, everyone's dead or gone. No, they're gone.
- 30:36Everyone's gone. Nobody.
- 30:38See, I was gonna had a real good answer.
- 30:39I was gonna say, well, if it was crashed up on a shore, it was
- 30:42just some random person taking advantage of some free housing.
- 30:44Yeah, that would be. Wise, it's just floating around.
- 30:47Just floating. Everyone's gone.
- 30:49I'm just trying to make sure this is what we're
- 30:51understanding. Yeah.
- 30:52And someone was smoking a pipe and making some beans.
- 30:55Well, those. Were the two items that were
- 30:57found on board so? Like how?
- 31:01Long it could have possibly been abandoned is nothing, but it was
- 31:04near shore that they'd seen it and so it like you would
- 31:07actually see people who would have been doing those types of
- 31:10things. I mean I don't know how long it
- 31:13takes to smoke a pipe but my dad back in Santa Claus also for
- 31:18sure smoked pipes and I feel like his droll little mouth.
- 31:21Was drawn up in a bow. Yeah, I feel.
- 31:23Like, you would see people fleeing a huge ship, you know,
- 31:28for, you know, to have it be in the same time frame because it
- 31:31is only so long that these things could actually happen
- 31:34without a human creating it to happen.
- 31:37Sure. So this was a ship, one of the
- 31:40first ships attributed to like, a actual loss in the Bermuda
- 31:44Triangle. But they said actually, where it
- 31:47was leaving from, it would have never had any reason to go
- 31:50there. But people were still like,
- 31:53there's some spooky stuff going went out in that area.
- 31:56Sure. And you know, like I said, well
- 31:58and you know. We all know that ship stories,
- 32:02yeah. You know, I mean, right, Right.
- 32:05Sailors don't always tell the truth.
- 32:07They get. They get they.
- 32:08Gain some steam, you know? Oh good.
- 32:10Good, good. Not this one though.
- 32:12And then before the steamship. But but anyhow, I like it.
- 32:16That's right. I liked where you went there.
- 32:17But anyhow, so that's one of like the first ones that was
- 32:20publicly recognized and people were just fascinated by the
- 32:24mystery of what on earth could have happened to have an
- 32:28abandoned ship. Ghost ships are very rare.
- 32:31I will one day do some more research and find out how many
- 32:35ghost ships exist out there. More stories and I need to write
- 32:39that down because I was so down this rabbit hole ships and it,
- 32:43like I said, turned out to have nothing to do with the Bermuda
- 32:48Triangle, but I was fascinated by it anyhow.
- 32:51So that was one that they that whole story you just.
- 32:53Told didn't have anything. It turned out not to man.
- 32:59I'm upset to it. You better get back on.
- 33:01Track, I was all like, we were starting to get the heebie
- 33:05jeebies going on and then you said, never mind, right, All
- 33:09right, bring it back home. OK, But I'm gonna.
- 33:10I am. Back home and now, people said
- 33:12that it came from that. A lot of history with the
- 33:15Bermuda Triangle has a lot to do with, you know, like word of
- 33:20mouth and how things existed. So when you're really looking at
- 33:23it, you need to look at more recent recordable history, times
- 33:27in life where we had actual like tracking abilities to see
- 33:34exactly where these things happened.
- 33:37For the Bermuda Triangle though, there are attributed to the
- 33:44Bermuda Triangle 50 lost ships. That's a lot.
- 33:49That's a lot, yes. 5050 lost ships since forever.
- 33:54Yes. OK, 20 lost planes.
- 34:00OK. That's a lot and over 1000.
- 34:03People, Dang. Yeah, those are all a lot.
- 34:07It's a lot of numbers. Like and there's it's, it's
- 34:11interesting because it's kind of in different ways, right?
- 34:14Like I mean you have you have the by boat people just missing.
- 34:19There were a couple couple guys on A at one of the lighthouses
- 34:23out in the area and they disappeared just out of nowhere.
- 34:27So those are those, there are certain things that they
- 34:30actually do have a person or something that is thoroughly
- 34:35missing where it hit a lot of our consciousness or whatever it
- 34:40is like world, world thought would have been with Flight 19,
- 34:46Flight 19. Flight 19, have you heard?
- 34:48Of Flight 19, I haven't. OK, so flight 19 was these like
- 34:55four or five. I can't actually now remember
- 34:57the exact number, but planes, Navy bombing planes who were
- 35:02going out on a mission just to like a testing mission or
- 35:05whatever folks do. There were some newer pilots on
- 35:09the planes. They had one who had been there
- 35:11for a long time and they all kind of knew the area they were
- 35:16supposed to go to and come back. And when they were out there
- 35:20flying there, they radioed back to whoever the flight control
- 35:24folks were saying that they were lost.
- 35:27They had no idea. Everything looked upside down or
- 35:30backwards or things like that. And the flight controller said
- 35:35it's fine, find the sun. You'll see some, some, you know,
- 35:40sea island or sea land and then just follow that, you know, have
- 35:45the sun to whatever it is your West or, or your left or right
- 35:49wing. I actually don't remember which
- 35:51wing it was, but that is not important.
- 35:54What they said is there's no land, there's nothing.
- 35:57And then they disappeared all together.
- 36:00So not. One plane, not 2, but like I
- 36:03said, it was either four or five, and it'd be better if I
- 36:05knew the exact number. I knew it earlier today.
- 36:07I don't remember it right now. Doesn't really matter, but it
- 36:11does matter to those people. That was in 1945, OK.
- 36:16So. There we had people who were
- 36:19really good or or should have had like knowledge of flying.
- 36:25Then another one that that is, there's been a couple too where
- 36:33there have been, you know, people flying or boating and all
- 36:37of a sudden they'll be out at sea and within this area and
- 36:42they're like won't be able to use their compasses and things
- 36:46like that. They just won't work.
- 36:47I remember seeing. That on like a documentary.
- 36:49Yeah, yeah, like. Gauges don't.
- 36:51Work in some parts of the Bermuda Triangle.
- 36:53Yeah, exactly. Well, that's what people say.
- 36:56I mean, and I, there are certainly people who have gone
- 37:00through this and have found that that was the case, but they have
- 37:04not been able to like re pinpoint it, right.
- 37:07So they're like at that time then, right, It wasn't working
- 37:11then I couldn't possibly, you know, I can go back to that
- 37:14exact same space. I believe I was and now it's
- 37:17working. So it's like in and out, you
- 37:19know which which happens, right, like radio frequency type of a
- 37:23concept, it's in and out. So there is that.
- 37:27Now why would these reasons, why would these things happen,
- 37:31right? There's good questions and good
- 37:34theories. I think a great question is the
- 37:37why one of the theories out there, OK, is that that is over
- 37:45the that water is over the lost city of Atlantis.
- 37:51That's one of the theories. It's one of the theories I like.
- 37:53It Edgar Cayce just said that in 1968 they would find the lost
- 37:59city of Atlantis and it'd be on a wall, which is kind of,
- 38:02there's some wall under there, OK.
- 38:04I don't know. Famous.
- 38:07Seer. Yes, famous.
- 38:10Fortune teller, not fortune teller, but I don't know.
- 38:12Yeah, Sears Prof Fun Prof. Seer.
- 38:15Prof Seer Seer. OK, we'll see.
- 38:18There it is all. Right there.
- 38:20We go. So that's one of the reasons
- 38:22why. Another reason that people think
- 38:25that planes are just disappearing or ships are
- 38:28disappearing is because it's a part of a parallel universe, OK.
- 38:33And it's like the. Portal cool to a.
- 38:36Parallel so people. Are still.
- 38:38Maybe zapped into some other plane of existence exactly or
- 38:41time. They could be at another time,
- 38:43the whole world. Got really into a show recently,
- 38:47so what's that called? I don't.
- 38:49Stranger Things. Where there's a whole separate
- 38:52universe could be. Called We are not There.
- 38:55We've only we've only hit the 4th or 5th episode of Stranger
- 38:58Things. Yeah, we don't know.
- 38:59About Stranger Things. So if you're into that, sorry,
- 39:02we just watched like two or three episodes because someone
- 39:04told us to. Yeah, you know.
- 39:06And it seems to me. Like there's a separate
- 39:09dimension or mirror universe or something.
- 39:12Anyway, I don't know. I don't know.
- 39:13Like this Stranger Things could explain for me to triangle.
- 39:17Yep. And the other thing?
- 39:18When you don't know what the heck is going on, there's a
- 39:22fourth option. But when?
- 39:24I'll wait for that one. I'm gonna wait for that one.
- 39:26OK, great. So the.
- 39:28Next thing that people talk about is that there is nothing
- 39:36gas lower and this is proven throughout water where there's
- 39:40some methane gas that is at different parts of sea.
- 39:44It's also naturally occurring. In it is naturally.
- 39:46Occurring yeah yeah, shell. And stuff, but OK.
- 39:50What do you know about methane gas?
- 39:52Well, everyone knows it. Smells bad, I know nothing.
- 39:55I didn't even know it smelled bad.
- 39:58So this is OK. You know one more thing than I
- 39:59do, except for I did research so I know another thing.
- 40:03What do we know, kids? About methane gas and water.
- 40:09Nothing I knew. Nothing.
- 40:11But do you want to take a guess at what happens with what
- 40:14methane gas can do to water vaporize it that?
- 40:18Would make. Sense.
- 40:19But you know what it does? It can do without enough methane
- 40:22gas. It can change the density of
- 40:25water. OK, what?
- 40:28That's. OK, so Atlantis.
- 40:31Could be what? Do you mean the density?
- 40:34Like I know what density is but. I mean like like.
- 40:37Give me like a real world. Example or terms or what are you
- 40:39what are you getting at here? Meaning.
- 40:42That at what point a ship would float could be a problem because
- 40:52the water is no longer as dense. So like the.
- 40:54Buoyancy of the ship. Like.
- 40:58Changes enough that it just sinks and is gone.
- 41:01That doesn't explain the airplanes.
- 41:03Well, there is. That problem, OK, so when you
- 41:06come to I have no other possible reason, but you said you were
- 41:10going to save. #4 This is #4. OK, here we go.
- 41:14UFOs. Oh.
- 41:18Was that was that on? Your card wasn't on my.
- 41:20Radar. I like it.
- 41:23I'm mad at myself. You're infecting me with your
- 41:27terrible jokes. Good, good.
- 41:29I apologize. Everyone.
- 41:32It's her fault. So.
- 41:34Anyhow, that's the other theory, right?
- 41:36That was pretty good. It's good.
- 41:38It's good. That's the other theory why
- 41:41things are just disappearing in this area.
- 41:44So it's it's one of those 4 conspiracy theories.
- 41:48Do you know what the 5th? 1 is what if those guys with the
- 41:53lighthouse wouldn't have disappeared?
- 41:55Everyone would have been safe. They could have found their way
- 41:57out, Yeah, but the. Lighthouse is still there
- 42:00though. The lighthouse didn't disappear.
- 42:02Guys, operators. Ah, OK.
- 42:04You're right, That's OK. Wow, you're just.
- 42:06Shooting me down I did I. Did because you know anyhow, not
- 42:09unlike an airplane. Well, not those.
- 42:12Bomber airplanes. That's what I'm saying, yeah.
- 42:14Also 19. 45 They probably knew what they were doing with the
- 42:17airplanes. I know.
- 42:19But there's been like research into the main pilot and like,
- 42:22the family of the main teaching pilot was like, there's no way
- 42:27this guy, he's been flying planes forever and he never gets
- 42:30lost. But then like the Navy was like
- 42:33point of order, he's gotten lost before.
- 42:36OK, he's not as great as you think he is, but he's your hero
- 42:40guy so don't be taking people. Down exactly.
- 42:44Especially if he was. Like a war hero.
- 42:46I mean, come on. Right?
- 42:47It's exactly. What happened and the US Navy
- 42:50was like, we will take this away from accident or change the what
- 42:55the situation from accident to missing.
- 42:58And so that is in the official record, but I'm going to tell
- 43:04you something. We've talked about how many
- 43:07people are supposedly attributed, how many planes, how
- 43:10many ships, and it sounds like a lot.
- 43:12It's a lot you. Want to hear something?
- 43:14Bizarre. And maybe more disturbing.
- 43:17OK it. Is not at a.
- 43:18Higher rate than any other area in the ocean.
- 43:24What this it's not. Like so it's so you take any.
- 43:28Random 1.5 million miles of ocean and it's not.
- 43:34Out of the recorded history. Amount of time you're talking
- 43:38about the 1000 people and 20 planes and 50 ships is like, oh
- 43:44that's fine, it's not an anomaly.
- 43:46So what we're really getting? At here people is the ocean is
- 43:48dangerous. Uh huh.
- 43:50What? Uh huh, uh huh.
- 43:51Uh. Huh.
- 43:53You can even. Yeah.
- 43:55I mean, Dang, I know. So the Coast Guard's like, yeah,
- 43:59the US Navy, they're like, it's totes.
- 44:01Cool. Yeah, this is normal.
- 44:03Boys of London, the insuring company of like all these huge
- 44:06ships is like, yeah, totally. We'll insure your ship.
- 44:08Go through, they're all you want.
- 44:10It's just water. It's just water.
- 44:13But Luke, let me ask you a question.
- 44:16All I. Wasn't ready for it.
- 44:17I like it when you just pop the surprise on me.
- 44:20OK, ladies and gentlemen, the moment you've all been waiting
- 44:24for in this corner telling me to weigh in at 135 lbs.
- 44:29We have the ocean loving, but not quite so much the sun part
- 44:37of it. Yeah.
- 44:39Lovely Amber, who would like to be near there?
- 44:43Maybe. But yeah, look at it.
- 44:44Yeah. We could just take.
- 44:46A land at the Triangle from Florida.
- 44:49Maybe even we have Amber yes and in.
- 44:52This corner we have Luke, who has been teaching the world the
- 44:57difference between square and triangle miles.
- 45:01I'm a shapes person. You're a Shapes person.
- 45:03And he's a math person, so the. Next thing I have for you.
- 45:07Is going to be how many ties we have, which is 8 we are holding.
- 45:10Well, first of all, I would. Like to say I am claiming to
- 45:13weigh in 185 lbs. I wasn't going to do that.
- 45:15I was. I need the world to know.
- 45:17Right, because you're math. Yeah.
- 45:18OK. So we have our eight ties, the
- 45:22last, the last one. I have more than 8 ties.
- 45:25We have. You have one, you just took one
- 45:31of a poll that closed out, so you have reached.
- 45:34Up to. 13 lucky number. 13 but you're still at 18.
- 45:38We did a podcast. Episode about that yeah.
- 45:41Closing in on You better watch out.
- 45:43I mean, we still have a little. Bit of a ways, but I have a
- 45:45question for you, Luke. OK, ask it.
- 45:47Given everything. You've just learned about the
- 45:49Bermuda Triangle, OK. Would you?
- 45:53Go there. Yes, OK, case closed.
- 46:05All right, well. I mean.
- 46:07Yes. OK.
- 46:08So it's in a part of the ocean. It's big.
- 46:13It's in. It's in an area that is widely
- 46:19known for tourism. Yeah.
- 46:22Which is. Reassuring.
- 46:24I mean, Puerto Rico, huge tourism.
- 46:26Yeah, Marketplace. I don't actually know about
- 46:30Bermuda, but The Beach Boys wanted to go there.
- 46:32They did, and that was a long time ago.
- 46:34And I feel like their song has added a lot of tourism to
- 46:38Bermuda and Bahama and Kokomo and the Florida Keys.
- 46:43Yeah. Florida Keys Prince.
- 46:47Yeah. Well, maybe not Haiti so much
- 46:49lately, I don't remember. Thoughts are with.
- 46:52You people in Haiti, they've had trouble lately it's you know
- 46:57anyway, so the whole. Area.
- 46:59Is very highly attended as a place to go enjoy the sun and
- 47:05the salt water and the beauty of nature and the relaxation of
- 47:12getting outside of the the you know, the daily grind.
- 47:16And so the at the place like I've been to Florida many times.
- 47:24The places all sound actually kind of great.
- 47:27So I would absolutely go because because if I went, that would
- 47:35mean at least one thing, most likely strong, strong chance I'm
- 47:40on vacation. If this is happening, chances
- 47:42are. You could even.
- 47:44You could even take out Florida as an option because I've been
- 47:47there so many times. I would go right to Bermuda.
- 47:50That's fine. Well, assuming that they have
- 47:51like, I'm assuming they have like a place to stay.
- 47:54And I mean you have to travel. Through the Bermuda Triangle,
- 47:56like that's fine. I'm hopping to Bermuda.
- 47:58That's that's fine. I'm sure you have to fly to get
- 48:01there. Also.
- 48:03Puerto Rico, is that what you said?
- 48:04Yep, you said Port of Prince and I got them.
- 48:06So Puerto Rico, Kokomo. Song.
- 48:08Yep. So Puerto.
- 48:09Rico, I've actually looked at going on we almost went there
- 48:13once right I. Don't think OK you would have to
- 48:16go through it. Yes, to get to that, you got to
- 48:19go through it. I'm just saying it's a big 1.5
- 48:21million mile. So you know, yes, I would, even
- 48:25if I was like in Puerto Rico, which is one of the corners of
- 48:28the triangle, I would hop on a boat and go right into the
- 48:31triangle because this is beautiful.
- 48:33And while the ocean may be dangerous, it is also wonderful
- 48:41and magical. And I.
- 48:44Just I love the ocean. I want to go swim in it, boat in
- 48:49it, snorkel in it. I never scuba dived but I would
- 48:52definitely scuba dive. No.
- 48:54Oh, me and your child talked about scuba diving together.
- 48:58Yep, it's just. Also, your child.
- 49:00I know. Just for the record here, folks,
- 49:02this is ours. Yeah, we collaborated.
- 49:04That's. Just mine, so I would do.
- 49:07I'm in for all that. I go fishing in there, try to
- 49:10catch one of them. Big old, what's that one that my
- 49:14grandpa had, I don't know, a Tarpon.
- 49:16He caught a big Tarpon. It was in the house in upstate
- 49:20New York. I remember as a kid he had all
- 49:22his trophies of like these big, big, big things that he shot and
- 49:25big fish that he caught when he would go on ocean fishing's boy.
- 49:29Now that I said that, he must have had some money.
- 49:32You don't say like somehow that. Literally never registered until
- 49:37just now. Wow, that like if you were going
- 49:40on a trip to the ocean and you lived in New York, well, there's
- 49:44A to go fishing. Well, not not that has Tarpon
- 49:48and sailfish and I don't know what kind of fish are.
- 49:50I think those are all in. Hotter waters OK anyway, so
- 49:56there's probably like a lot more reasons I do I do enjoy
- 49:59exploring like new places and new cultures yeah and I I would
- 50:06I would totally go to the the the places any of those places
- 50:10yeah travel through the. Yeah, sure.
- 50:12Fly over it. I'd I'd sail through it, I'd,
- 50:14well, sail. I don't know about sailing.
- 50:16You'd have to say like that. Just I mean like on a.
- 50:18Sailboat. I don't know that I love the
- 50:20idea of a sailboat. I don't like the idea.
- 50:23Of a sailing, unless it was really.
- 50:24Big then maybe? OK.
- 50:28All right, anyway. That's just side, side banter.
- 50:31But I, I think I'm in, I'd go to the Bermuda Triangle and just
- 50:35because who didn't love the Addams Family?
- 50:38If you're our age, I want to go to Devil's Island.
- 50:40I don't even know where it is or if it's a real place, but I I
- 50:45feel like if the the deep and abiding love of Gomez and
- 50:49Morticia has a fond memory of Devil's Island, I'm in.
- 50:54I would go there as well. So here's.
- 50:56Did you learn anything? About Devil's Island, is it a
- 50:58real place? It's.
- 51:00Called the Devil's Triangle, also the Bermuda Triangle.
- 51:03It's also maybe Devil's. Island is like Bermuda.
- 51:06I don't. Yeah, I.
- 51:07Really. I don't know.
- 51:08OK, I. Wasn't.
- 51:08Thinking on that, that plane, I don't know, I was I was really
- 51:13trying to figure out more about, you know, the Bermuda stuff, but
- 51:18so, OK, so you would go here's my thing.
- 51:23I truly don't think it's UFOs, OK.
- 51:29I don't think it's Atlantis, OK. I.
- 51:37Don't think another. Dimension.
- 51:41It's another dimension. I have.
- 51:42Thank you for. Yeah, I knew where you were
- 51:44going. I don't think it's that.
- 51:46OK, we've ruled out. Three, it's possible.
- 51:49About the methane gas, OK And water density just sinks your
- 51:53ship? Just sinks your ship that.
- 51:54Doesn't explain the. Airplanes, but OK, I don't.
- 51:58Know maybe methane gas and what I don't know somehow does stuff
- 52:02with weather with. Stuff.
- 52:05I actually don't think like there really probably is a
- 52:10problem. Like if they're if they're
- 52:12saying, hey, it's no different, also terrifying.
- 52:15It's a no different there than any other place at sea where
- 52:18there's a lot of traffic, right, Because there are going to be
- 52:21some places where no one ever travels.
- 52:23And obviously if you're probably near Antarctica, I feel like if
- 52:2620 ships got lost there or 50 planes, 1000 people like that
- 52:32would be pretty astronomical because there aren't that many
- 52:34people. But like, I, I, the math and the
- 52:37statistics, the probabilities, it's like no different than any
- 52:42other place. And I, I do tend to believe in
- 52:45statistics and probabilities, but I, and also they're like,
- 52:50cool, we'll ensure your ships like people aren't going to put
- 52:53money on something that is like guaranteed dangerous, OK.
- 52:59But I'm not. Willing to gamble that 1% of me
- 53:05that thinks maybe there is something to it to this area, I
- 53:10would not travel there the whole time.
- 53:12I'd be like, there's nothing that's going to happen.
- 53:14But like, what if it did? I'd feel real dumb on the other
- 53:19side and people would would talk about me being like, well, she
- 53:23didn't know how to sail. She didn't know how to fly a
- 53:26ship. What is she?
- 53:28Or fly a ship. I have no idea how to fly a ship
- 53:30fly a ship fly. A ship she didn't know.
- 53:32Fly a plane or you know, all those things.
- 53:34It would be very easy to explain away those things.
- 53:37But you know, like I, I don't want to be disappeared in the
- 53:40ocean in the middle of nowhere. So you, I won't do it.
- 53:45I won't do it. There's a little, there's enough
- 53:47of a cautious person in me where I have 0 desire and I won't go
- 53:53through the Bermuda Triangle. I'll go to Florida, maybe I go
- 53:57to Bermuda, maybe I go to Puerto Rico.
- 53:59But I would be like is it what's the path?
- 54:02Can we steer clear of the Triangle because.
- 54:06You know I. Just I don't want to risk it.
- 54:10There have been weird things. I don't understand how a compass
- 54:15doesn't work out of nowhere. I also don't understand how
- 54:18compasses work. So like, you know, whatever I
- 54:22do. But my point is, I was like,
- 54:24goodness, say. Something and I'm like wait,
- 54:26should I say something? Well, I couldn't.
- 54:29Build my own compass. Okay, that's true.
- 54:32But I, I feel like it's just not worth the risk.
- 54:35I, I doubt very highly of any of the probabilities of the things
- 54:40that people say that happen really have much to do with
- 54:43that, that it really is just that much anywhere.
- 54:46But given that information I have, we've talked about cruises
- 54:50before and I've never wanted to go and I now never want to,
- 54:53Never ever want to. Go.
- 54:54Never want to go. Because if that's just the odds,
- 54:57no. Thank.
- 54:58You can I rebut? A little bit you could rebut.
- 55:01Listen. You're OK.
- 55:04If. If all of the ocean has the same
- 55:08statistical problems, yes. I mean you have taken that risk
- 55:18many, many, many times. That is before.
- 55:22Today when I learned that the statistical probability is no
- 55:26higher in the Bermuda Triangle than it is other where other
- 55:31places, This is why I would not so if I said we're going.
- 55:35To Mexico, you'd be like, I'm not flying over the Gulf of
- 55:37Mexico. No, no, no.
- 55:38Because here's the thing, I feel like, well, you better not look
- 55:41up the. Gulf of Mexico because based on
- 55:42your math, it's the same statistics.
- 55:45Here's the thing. You've been in boats.
- 55:47In the I've been in boats in the.
- 55:48Pacific Ocean. Absolutely.
- 55:50In the Gulf of Mexico, of course, I have in the.
- 55:52Atlantic Ocean I. Have been in boats and.
- 55:54I've actually enjoyed my time in boats.
- 55:56This is I think for my own sanity sake, I need it to be
- 56:00there. You have to contain it to.
- 56:01The be moon so then you can continue to live your life in
- 56:04interesting yes so make. That be the bad spot, so you
- 56:08know that. I won't go there that.
- 56:11Mathematically. Speaking you're, I mean.
- 56:15Let's not talk in the wrong. I just want to be clear.
- 56:18Yes, I, I. I and superstition.
- 56:21Alone is keeping you from the Bermuda trend, I think.
- 56:24I'm going to have to forget the mathematical way speaking in.
- 56:28I'm glad for it. Because I I don't want to stop
- 56:30going to places that are but I, I.
- 56:33Don't. I mean, I've never wanted to go
- 56:35on a cruise and I don't like being out in open water.
- 56:38So there is that information. I want to know that the lands
- 56:42that I won't ever make it to it, but I want to know that it's
- 56:45nearby. I don't like that large open
- 56:47water. Where sure.
- 56:48Where you don't know. Where the land is, yeah, I don't
- 56:51want to do that. I.
- 56:52Want to be able to see it? Yep, just like.
- 56:54At Lake Superior, I want to be able to see stop.
- 56:57It OK for any of our international viewers just to
- 57:01point out, Lake Superior is here in the continent of North
- 57:05America. It's the largest freshwater lake
- 57:08in the continent. You probably cannot see the
- 57:10other side. It's like hundreds of miles.
- 57:15Oh my goodness, we have taught our audience.
- 57:18A lot today I feel like wow, that's.
- 57:20A stretch we Well, we did have some good trivia, Some good we
- 57:25did. And you know what else we taught
- 57:27him? That triangle math is different
- 57:29than square. I've had a lot of fun on this
- 57:33episode. It seems like you've been
- 57:35riveted by all of my fascinating, riveted information
- 57:39that I've been able to share. What should our fans, audience,
- 57:44people who didn't like this, what should they do now?
- 57:47Every one of. Them should vote for me.
- 57:50That was your you. Wanted me to.
- 57:52No, we're good. Not.
- 57:53That's not it. OK, wait.
- 57:54They should. They should, they should like
- 57:58this with like a thumbs up or a like or whatever your platform
- 58:02is. Yep, They should rate this yes,
- 58:04so that other people on their listening platform see that
- 58:07we're not terrible. I'd like 5 stars. 5 or 4.
- 58:11If that's the highest, sure, whatever the highest number,
- 58:13that's the one we want. If you have a bad opinion and a
- 58:16bad attitude, please take it to an e-mail cuz we're ready for
- 58:19that, yes? I'd love it.
- 58:21Or or comment actually. Yeah, that's fine too.

- 58:51I just want to do a whole thing. I just want to do a whole thing.
- 58:58I just want to do my own thing.
