- 0:00Speaker 1: Here's more of the Mark Simoon Show on wor.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Well, hey, we'll get to Bruce Springsteen. Where do you
- 0:10Speaker 2: hear this new masterpiece. We'll get to Jimmy Failey. He'll
- 0:14Speaker 2: be with us a little later this hour. So, Mom, Donnie,
- 0:19Speaker 2: you know, he's like twelve years old, never had a
- 0:20Speaker 2: job before he gets elected mayor and it's his first week.
- 0:24Speaker 2: He gets a major snowstorm and he gets a budget
- 0:27Speaker 2: crisis where we're going to have a gappa like twelve
- 0:30Speaker 2: billion that has to be made up. Here's a guy
- 0:32Speaker 2: who never had a job, can you know, no financial
- 0:36Speaker 2: experience of any kind. Now he's got to do all
- 0:42Speaker 2: kinds of emergency things to fill this budget cap. Now
- 0:44Speaker 2: a businessman looking at this would say, well, obviously you're overspending.
- 0:48Speaker 2: You're a city won city. And he got a budget
- 0:51Speaker 2: of one hundred and twenty billion, that's more than the
- 0:55Speaker 2: budget of most states. So you got to make cuts.
- 0:57Speaker 2: You got to cut. But you know, he doesn't know that.
- 0:59Speaker 2: He thinks yes to increased taxes. Now he's blaming it
- 1:01Speaker 2: on everybody else. He's blaming it on Adams.
- 1:04Speaker 3: In twenty twenty five, under the banner of what he
- 1:07Speaker 3: called the best budget ever. Former Mayor Eric Adams handed
- 1:10Speaker 3: the next administration a poisoned chalice. He's systematically under budgeted
- 1:15Speaker 3: services that New Yorkers rely on every single day, rental assistance, shelter,
- 1:21Speaker 3: and special education, while quietly leaving behind enormous gaps for
- 1:25Speaker 3: the future and knowing his time in office was likely
- 1:29Speaker 3: coming to an end. Mayor Adams chose political self preservation
- 1:33Speaker 3: over fiscal responsibility.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Okay, he's not wrong. Then now you cannot blame mom
- 1:37Speaker 2: Donnie for this budget crisis. I just took over five
- 1:39Speaker 2: minutes ago, so it's not his fault. Adams was the
- 1:42Speaker 2: mayor for the last four years, so he left him
- 1:44Speaker 2: with this. He's also blaming Andrew Cuomo, which is good.
- 1:47Speaker 2: You should blame Andrew Cuomo for everything all the time.
- 1:50Speaker 2: But he explained it. If you want to save primarily
- 1:53Speaker 2: oh wait a minute, Oh we lost it. I lost
- 1:55Speaker 2: the cut. Sorry, But he basically explains Cuomo signing in
- 1:59Speaker 2: all these woke, nonsense, crazy programs cost us money, and
- 2:02Speaker 2: then he used city money that was supposed to go
- 2:05Speaker 2: to the city. He diverted it to pay for whatever
- 2:07Speaker 2: crazy left wing stuff he wanted to pay for. Left
- 2:10Speaker 2: us with a big gap, so he got a deficit.
- 2:12Speaker 3: The prior mayoral administration has left us with a twelve
- 2:15Speaker 3: billion dollars fiscal deficit. And this is at a scale
- 2:18Speaker 3: that's actually greater than what we saw here in New
- 2:19Speaker 3: York City during the Great Recession. And it's something that
- 2:22Speaker 3: is attributable to gross fiscal mismanagement, to a refusal to
- 2:25Speaker 3: actually budget honestly and be direct with New Yorkers.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Now, it's hard to believe Erica Adams would do that.
- 2:31Speaker 2: I mean, looks looks to me like a financial genius.
- 2:34Speaker 2: You can't. But you got Adams who didn't know anything
- 2:39Speaker 2: about anything, and now you got mom Donnie, he's never
- 2:41Speaker 2: even had a job. There's the guy trying to fix it.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Good luck with This.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Is what we saw in the last year from the
- 2:47Speaker 3: mayoral administration, was there was a recognition about the scale
- 2:50Speaker 3: of this crisis. But instead of actually being direct with
- 2:53Speaker 3: New Yorker right.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Now, he's giving me a headache. Well, the state, yeah again,
- 2:55Speaker 2: Cuomo and the states the problems we don't get enough
- 2:58Speaker 2: from the state.
- 2:58Speaker 3: We look at the relationship between the city and the state,
- 3:01Speaker 3: where New York City is the economic engine of the
- 3:03Speaker 3: state of the country, and yet while we contribute fifty
- 3:06Speaker 3: four point five percent of the state's revenue, we only
- 3:08Speaker 3: received forty point five percent in return. And if we
- 3:11Speaker 3: had actually bridged that gap over the Cuomo years, we'd
- 3:14Speaker 3: be talking about receiving an eight billion dollars additional every
- 3:17Speaker 3: single year.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Well, he's great at explaining this. Fixing it. Now, that's
- 3:22Speaker 2: a different story. Anyway. Let's get to Bruce Springsteen. Now,
- 3:26Speaker 2: Bruce Springsteen, superstar. When you become a rock and roll superstar,
- 3:30Speaker 2: I remember Born to Run, Remember that album cover with
- 3:32Speaker 2: the motorcycle and the guitar and the wristbands, and he's
- 3:37Speaker 2: broken down on the highway with his hungry heart and
- 3:41Speaker 2: tramps like us. You know, this young, young young guy,
- 3:45Speaker 2: and he's you know, in those days, when you're a
- 3:46Speaker 2: young rock and roll star, you're you know, you're out
- 3:49Speaker 2: every night, you're drinking, there's a million women, you're having fun,
- 3:52Speaker 2: You're right in your motorcycle. You're a happy guy. Now
- 3:55Speaker 2: when you become an old rock and roll star, when
- 3:58Speaker 2: you become an old, old, old, senior citizen rock and
- 4:00Speaker 2: roll star, you're not doing any of that. He's sitting
- 4:03Speaker 2: at home every night, and you you know, when you're
- 4:05Speaker 2: a liberal, left wing old person, what do you do?
- 4:08Speaker 2: You watch MSNBC and you get yourself riled up all
- 4:12Speaker 2: night long, you get very very angry. You watch MSNBC,
- 4:16Speaker 2: you watch who's that de androgynous guy with the glasses?
- 4:20Speaker 2: What's his name? Chris Hayes. You watch Chris Hayes and
- 4:23Speaker 2: he gets you really mad. And then Rachel Maddow comes on.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Now you can't tell because they both look alike, you
- 4:30Speaker 2: can't tell which is which. But Rachel Maddow comes on
- 4:32Speaker 2: get you even angrier. And then when she's done, you see,
- 4:35Speaker 2: if you're an old person like Bruce is. Now you
- 4:38Speaker 2: keep watching this all night and then she goes off.
- 4:40Speaker 2: And then the other guy, Lawrence O'Donnell, comes on, and
- 4:44Speaker 2: he gets you even more outraged. And by the time
- 4:47Speaker 2: it's eleven thirty, you're so riled up and angry. And
- 4:50Speaker 2: then you put on Colbert and then he gets you
- 4:54Speaker 2: angry or and angry. You watch Jimmy Kimmel and by
- 4:56Speaker 2: the time you're fired up. So this this is a
- 4:59Speaker 2: very angry Bruce Springsteen. So he's got to do something.
- 5:03Speaker 2: He's compelled to act. He decides he'll write a song
- 5:07Speaker 2: Now's the other thing is, when you're a young Bruce Springsteen,
- 5:10Speaker 2: it's one hit after another. It's just pouring out hits.
- 5:12Speaker 2: When you're a young Bully Joel, hit song after hit,
- 5:16Speaker 2: song after hit song after hit before you know it.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Now you got to put out another best of album.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Here's twelve more hit singles, Best Of Volume six. Now,
- 5:24Speaker 2: when you're an old rock and roll singer, you're not
- 5:26Speaker 2: gonna have any hit songs. It's your time has gone
- 5:29Speaker 2: for that. You can go around and do massive concerts.
- 5:32Speaker 2: You're the elder statesman, but you're not gonna have any
- 5:36Speaker 2: hit singles. So, but you can't explain that to these guys.
- 5:39Speaker 2: They keep trying, they keep writing these new songs. So
- 5:41Speaker 2: Bruce decides he must act and maybe in the process
- 5:46Speaker 2: will come up with a major, major hit song. So
- 5:48Speaker 2: he's written a song about Minneapolis, about the ice, about
- 5:52Speaker 2: pretty being killed. And this is a masterpiece, maybe possibly
- 5:57Speaker 2: the greatest single song ever written. First of all, if
- 6:00Speaker 2: I were Bob doing, i'd sue this guy for plagiarism.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Right now. It's trying to sound like Bob doing. This
- 6:04Speaker 2: is called the Streets of Minneapolis said, He's on fire.
- 6:09Speaker 2: The occupiers boots the poetry of Bruce right now. If
- 6:13Speaker 2: you're a fact checker, please don't do this song. You'll
- 6:14Speaker 2: get a headache. You'll just wear yourself out. Everything in
- 6:17Speaker 2: here is a lie. King Trump's private army. It's not
- 6:20Speaker 2: a private army. It's ice. That's the same ice Biden used,
- 6:23Speaker 2: the same ice Obama used more than Trump. In fact,
- 6:27Speaker 2: member he gave home In a medal for ice and
- 6:30Speaker 2: enforced the law, or so they claim. No, these are
- 6:32Speaker 2: actual written You can't claim it's a law. It's a
- 6:36Speaker 2: law book. You can go look it up. These are
- 6:38Speaker 2: all actual laws on the book. But on the other hand,
- 6:41Speaker 2: it's Bruce and he's a you know, drugged up, a
- 6:43Speaker 2: senior citizen rock and roll guy. But don't try to
- 6:46Speaker 2: fact check them voices or what did he say fighting
- 6:48Speaker 2: for justice? Well, actually they're fighting against justice. Ice is
- 6:52Speaker 2: actually a forced enforcing laws on the book, actual law enforcement,
- 6:57Speaker 2: and they're in there trying to block struck law enforcement action.
- 7:02Speaker 2: So he's gonna be it again. Fact checkers. You can't
- 7:05Speaker 2: got to admit this part is kind of catchy musically.
- 7:08Speaker 2: It's got like a nice melody and it's bouncy and
- 7:11Speaker 2: bouncy and music. Melodically, it's but I don't know. You're
- 7:16Speaker 2: talking about a guy getting killed the tragedy. Should you
- 7:18Speaker 2: be so bouncy and melodic about it? I don't know.
- 7:21Speaker 2: We'll take our stand for this land, all right. That's
- 7:24Speaker 2: pretty good lyric writing. If it's the seventies, I don't know,
- 7:28Speaker 2: it's it's twenty sixteen. I don't know. See it goes
- 7:31Speaker 2: from bouncy pretty to like a federal effis. I don't know.
- 7:36Speaker 2: I'm getting text left and right. Please stop, you're killing
- 7:38Speaker 2: This is torture. I don't It's not a bad song musically,
- 7:41Speaker 2: I mean it's ridiculous. Will this be a hit? What
- 7:44Speaker 2: do you think? Will anybody play it? Who could play it?
- 7:47Speaker 2: I mean certainly not gonna be on Z one hundred.
- 7:50Speaker 2: You're not gonna hear this on light FM, wo Q
- 7:52Speaker 2: one oh four play it? I don't know. Are you
- 7:55Speaker 2: rushing to download it right now? Will it be a
- 7:57Speaker 2: hit anywhere? Will it be viral online? I know Alex
- 8:01Speaker 2: pretty lay in the snow Dead. The melody doesn't fit.
- 8:07Speaker 2: It's kind of a happy it's kind of like a
- 8:09Speaker 2: hungry heart. It's too bouncy happy. It's like dancing in
- 8:12Speaker 2: the dark, kind of pretty. I don't know all right,
- 8:15Speaker 2: people are begging me stop, don't play anymore. I can't
- 8:17Speaker 2: take it. But that's the latest from Bruce. Keep an
- 8:20Speaker 2: eye on that. We'll see where it goes, if it's
- 8:23Speaker 2: a big hit or not. Hey, President Trump, he's got
- 8:26Speaker 2: a great idea and he wants to do these Trump accounts.
- 8:31Speaker 2: So when you're born, a child is born, an account
- 8:35Speaker 2: is set up. Everybody will have an account and the
- 8:37Speaker 2: government will put one thousand dollars in that account, and
- 8:42Speaker 2: your parents can put money in, your employers could put
- 8:44Speaker 2: money in. But the idea is you'll have this account.
- 8:46Speaker 2: The government will automatically put a thousand dollars in your
- 8:49Speaker 2: little account as a baby, and it will grow and compound.
- 8:54Speaker 2: You can't take the money out. It'll just keep compounding
- 8:56Speaker 2: until you're eighteen. And as Warren Buffett always explained, the
- 9:00Speaker 2: biggest way to make money is compounding. You know the words.
- 9:03Speaker 2: You throw the money in and don't touch it, keep
- 9:05Speaker 2: reinvesting the profit, the dividends. It'll be in a stock account,
- 9:09Speaker 2: you know, some kind of fund. And if you don't
- 9:12Speaker 2: touch it, the thousand dollars, you can't touch it till
- 9:14Speaker 2: you're eighteen. It's estimated by the time you're eighteen it'll
- 9:17Speaker 2: be about three hundred thousand dollars in there, and if
- 9:22Speaker 2: you leave it till your twenty eighth birthday, it'll be
- 9:24Speaker 2: a million dollars. Now, once you're eighteen, you can start
- 9:27Speaker 2: taking money out, and there's government rules on this account.
- 9:33Speaker 2: When you take the money out, you're only allowed to
- 9:35Speaker 2: spend it on certain things. You're only allowed to spend
- 9:38Speaker 2: it for education expenses. You're allowed to spend it for
- 9:42Speaker 2: buying a home, or you can use it for retirement
- 9:45Speaker 2: income when you retire. And if you left it in
- 9:47Speaker 2: till the time you're retied, it'd probably be about don't know,
- 9:50Speaker 2: ten million dollars. So it's not expensive to do it
- 9:53Speaker 2: for the government. In fact, it's cheaper than other stuff.
- 9:57Speaker 2: So these Trump accounts are going to be a big thing.
- 9:59Speaker 4: He may yesterday young children that start out with really nothing,
- 10:04Speaker 4: and what gives him, Boy, it's more money than anybody
- 10:08Speaker 4: could imagine.
- 10:10Speaker 2: It's a great idea. Even if you wait till you're
- 10:13Speaker 2: eighteen take it out, you got three hundred thousand that'll
- 10:15Speaker 2: pay for your education. So it's a great, great idea.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Of course Democrats will go nuts and denounce it like crazy,
- 10:22Speaker 2: and you'll hear a lot of fighting over it in
- 10:26Speaker 2: Congress and all of that stuff. Hey, you know, speaking
- 10:30Speaker 2: of Minnesota, don't worry, I'm not going to play the
- 10:31Speaker 2: song again. Speaking of Minnesota, you know, the Tim Waltz,
- 10:36Speaker 2: the governor, has to step down because of the Somali fraud.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Nineteen billion missing and he was too stupid to know,
- 10:43Speaker 2: so he has to leave office. He can't run for reelection.
- 10:47Speaker 2: So everybody's threatening to run for reelection. Republican candidates are
- 10:51Speaker 2: jumping in, even Mike Lindell, my pillow Mike Lindell. And
- 10:56Speaker 2: he's a pretty charming guy, good salesman, he's a good talker.
- 11:00Speaker 2: So they start to get worried that somebody like Mike
- 11:03Speaker 2: Lindell could win as governor as the Republican. Now, remember
- 11:07Speaker 2: this is Minnesota, where they elect all kinds of characters.
- 11:10Speaker 2: They elected Jesse Ventura, the wrestler on a third party
- 11:14Speaker 2: as governor. And remember these voters are not exactly shrewd voters.
- 11:19Speaker 2: They elected Tim Wattz, they elected Mayor Fry, so they'll
- 11:23Speaker 2: elect anybody. Everybody but Lindell would have a real shot.
- 11:27Speaker 2: So Democrats are in they're very worried about this, very
- 11:30Speaker 2: very worried. So they decided that the most powerful, most
- 11:36Speaker 2: popular Democrat in the state needs to run to make
- 11:40Speaker 2: sure that they hold onto the governor's mansion, and that
- 11:42Speaker 2: would be Amy Klobucher, the Senator. So she's going to
- 11:45Speaker 2: have to give that up and run for governor because
- 11:48Speaker 2: she's most likely a guaranteed winner, and she's just announced
- 11:53Speaker 2: she will do it. She'll run for governor and pretty
- 11:56Speaker 2: much easily be the winner. Hey, the Washington Posts, you know,
- 12:01Speaker 2: Jeff Bezos s bought it years ago for about two
- 12:04Speaker 2: hundred and fifty million. But nobody reads these newspapers anymore.
- 12:07Speaker 2: You know, Am Talk radio has sixty three million people
- 12:11Speaker 2: listening every day, sixty three million newspapers. All the newspapers
- 12:16Speaker 2: in America only have twenty two million readers. So not
- 12:20Speaker 2: a lot of people reading newspapers, not a lot. So
- 12:24Speaker 2: you got to make cuts. Washington Posts. They've had to
- 12:26Speaker 2: cut costs. Even if you're Jeff Bezos a billionaire, you
- 12:28Speaker 2: got to you gotta have, you know, a stable business.
- 12:34Speaker 2: So they're laying off people left and right at the
- 12:36Speaker 2: Washington Post, they decided they'll get rid of the sports
- 12:39Speaker 2: department because let's be honest, if you're a big, big,
- 12:41Speaker 2: big sports person, you're not You're not going to the
- 12:44Speaker 2: Washington Post for their sports. They're not any good and
- 12:47Speaker 2: there's a million other places you can go get all
- 12:49Speaker 2: of that. So they're cutting it back. Everybody at the
- 12:52Speaker 2: Washington Post up in arms. There's going to be massive layoffs,
- 12:55Speaker 2: but they'll pay everybody to leave. A big, big payoff coming.
- 13:00Speaker 2: But they're furious. There's mutiny, there's rebellion, they're threatening in
- 13:02Speaker 2: the walkout, which is exactly what he wants. So it
- 13:06Speaker 2: works out perfectly for everybody where is Bruce. You're going
- 13:09Speaker 2: to hear this all day long on CNN and MSNBC. Anyway,
- 13:14Speaker 2: we'll take some calls. Next eight hundred three to two
- 13:16Speaker 2: one zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three
- 13:20Speaker 2: two one zero seven ten. Now back to the Mark
- 13:24Speaker 2: Simone show on woor Hey, let's do some calls. Let's
- 13:29Speaker 2: go to Rich in Myrtle Beach. Rich, how you doing?
- 13:33Speaker 5: Thanks?
- 13:33Speaker 6: Mark that Bruce Springstein's song is harrible, sounds like every
- 13:36Speaker 6: other song he's written in the last ten years. I
- 13:38Speaker 6: could already see this I could already see the Somali's
- 13:41Speaker 6: in the Chinese and the wheels of spinning trying to
- 13:43Speaker 6: figure out how they're going to get their hands on
- 13:45Speaker 6: these Trump accounts. Which is the biggest thing that worries
- 13:48Speaker 6: me is these people always figure out a way to
- 13:50Speaker 6: scam something, to get into something. And I bet you're
- 13:53Speaker 6: already thinking about it right now.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, they were smart to move to Minnesota because
- 13:57Speaker 2: you could steal nineteen billion in that idiotic governor and
- 13:59Speaker 2: didn't even know and then even you.
- 14:01Speaker 6: Know, has really got a good chance of winning there.
- 14:04Speaker 6: I mean, why would you get it?
- 14:05Speaker 5: Mark?
- 14:05Speaker 6: Let me ask you if you were a senator, why
- 14:07Speaker 6: would you give up being a senator.
- 14:08Speaker 2: To be a governor? Well, because the party is asked
- 14:10Speaker 2: her too. They don't want to They don't want to
- 14:11Speaker 2: lose that seat. They know she's the one that can
- 14:14Speaker 2: definitely win. She's the most popular in Minnesota, so that's
- 14:17Speaker 2: that important to him. Let's go to Bill in Pennsylvania. Bill.
- 14:20Speaker 2: How you doing yo?
- 14:22Speaker 4: Mark?
- 14:23Speaker 5: Why?
- 14:25Speaker 6: Well, I'm sorry my Boston accent you.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Know another Boston accent?
- 14:32Speaker 6: Yeah, well I met you in the back of a cab.
- 14:34Speaker 6: You know that.
- 14:35Speaker 2: What are you talking about?
- 14:35Speaker 5: There, But I want to about.
- 14:40Speaker 2: What are you talking about? Back of a cab?
- 14:43Speaker 5: What?
- 14:44Speaker 2: Let's start over Bill from Pennsylvania. How you doing?
- 14:49Speaker 6: I would like to read hers the reson Ancient history here,
- 14:54Speaker 6: but the Prince Deblasio? Who is you know?
- 14:59Speaker 2: This day drinking? It's not a good thing. First of all,
- 15:02Speaker 2: it's a dry January. You shouldn't be doing this right now.
- 15:05Speaker 6: Well, you know, a few hips in the morning. It's
- 15:07Speaker 6: cold here, I know.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Get your heart started. All right, Well, thanks for slowing
- 15:12Speaker 2: us down here. Let's go to uh Bill in Brooklyn? Bill,
- 15:15Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 15:17Speaker 6: How you doing good?
- 15:18Speaker 7: I'd just like to talk about that Springsteen song.
- 15:21Speaker 1: I don't know if he's.
- 15:22Speaker 6: Hitting a sauce again because I couldn't understand a word
- 15:25Speaker 6: he was saying. Oh he could hear It's like, shut
- 15:29Speaker 6: the hell up my ear of bleeding.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Yeah, no, it was. He's getting more and more Bob
- 15:36Speaker 2: Dylan is she's very Bob Dilanis you ever talked to
- 15:38Speaker 2: Bob Dylan in person?
- 15:39Speaker 6: Hey?
- 15:39Speaker 2: How are you? You can't hear one thing he says?
- 15:43Speaker 2: Do you know where Bob Dylan has his apartment in
- 15:45Speaker 2: New York? I don't know if he still has it.
- 15:47Speaker 2: But he had it there for years. Where would you
- 15:49Speaker 2: think of Bob Dylan? Would a purchase an apartment in
- 15:52Speaker 2: New York Trump Tower? Bob Dylan owned an apartment in
- 15:59Speaker 2: Trump Tower. I'd like to see him explain that. You know,
- 16:03Speaker 2: he dresses like a scarecrow. He walks around all musty
- 16:05Speaker 2: and dusty and tries to look like he's a sharecropper.
- 16:09Speaker 2: He's got an apartment in Trump Tower. What kind of
- 16:11Speaker 2: phony is this? Let's go to Lauren in New Jersey. Lauren,
- 16:15Speaker 2: how you doing, hey, Mark?
- 16:17Speaker 8: Well, they're all phonies. So yeah, mister pathetic irrelevant. You know,
- 16:23Speaker 8: there's the reason why his name is Bruce Springsteen because
- 16:25Speaker 8: his initials are bs. And that's, you know basically what
- 16:28Speaker 8: it is.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Right, You're from New Jersey and I'm supposed to attack Bruce.
- 16:32Speaker 4: Oh.
- 16:32Speaker 8: I can't stand Bruce never. I could never stand him.
- 16:35Speaker 8: You know, all the girls in high school like Bruce,
- 16:37Speaker 8: and I'm like, I don't get it.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Well, where are you in New Jersey?
- 16:44Speaker 8: Morris County?
- 16:45Speaker 2: Okay? Did we say that? No land, You know they
- 16:48Speaker 2: say that to people We're not from New Jersey. We
- 16:50Speaker 2: don't know which county is which. If you said the
- 16:52Speaker 2: town I might know.
- 16:54Speaker 8: Okay, well I'm west of Morristown.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Oh okay, see I know where that is. But they
- 16:59Speaker 2: I know where Bergen County is. The other counties, I
- 17:01Speaker 2: don't know where they are. It's like when they say
- 17:03Speaker 2: the exit number or from somewhere else, we don't know that.
- 17:07Speaker 8: Yeah, we'll venture out here. Mark.
- 17:09Speaker 2: I go out to New Jersey. I love New Jersey.
- 17:11Speaker 2: It's beautiful there. But I don't memorize the exit numbers.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Like if I said, Maine exit thirty seven, do you
- 17:16Speaker 2: know where that is?
- 17:19Speaker 8: No, Mark Glad? Yeah so? But yeah, Mark, So, I
- 17:23Speaker 8: can't imagine how many cars were driving off the road.
- 17:26Speaker 8: But please, oh my god, like the guy said, our
- 17:28Speaker 8: ears are bleeding.
- 17:28Speaker 2: So all right, all right, calm down, calm down. We
- 17:37Speaker 2: won't play it anymore. Let's go. We got time for
- 17:39Speaker 2: one more. Let's go to Robert in Westchester. Robert, how
- 17:43Speaker 2: you doing doing well?
- 17:45Speaker 5: Markause, thank you for taking my call. Mark. The thing
- 17:48Speaker 5: that I understand is, how is it that Ice becomes
- 17:51Speaker 5: the bad guy? How is it the president becomes the
- 17:53Speaker 5: bad guy? Joscel Hungry Lake and Riley? Why is that?
- 17:58Speaker 5: Phil fro Springsteen so about the torture and the hell
- 18:01Speaker 5: those women went through and their families, this is absurd.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Well, you can get away with this stuff when you
- 18:08Speaker 2: got the full cooperation of mainstream media. When they back
- 18:11Speaker 2: you up on this, you can say whatever the hell
- 18:13Speaker 2: you want. They'll back you up on it.
- 18:15Speaker 5: Those people will have to face judgment before God one
- 18:18Speaker 5: day because this nation is here for a reason to
- 18:22Speaker 5: protect the rest of civilis.
- 18:23Speaker 3: No.
- 18:24Speaker 2: I know what you're saying, but let's just be honest.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Let's be totally honest. If what's the name Renee Good
- 18:31Speaker 2: and Alex Pretty, if they had been killed by illegal aliens,
- 18:36Speaker 2: you never would have seen it on the news. It
- 18:38Speaker 2: would never make the networks. It would never get mentioned
- 18:40Speaker 2: on MSNBC, never mentioned. It wouldn't be in the New
- 18:43Speaker 2: York Times. You'd never hear about it. Oh, when we
- 18:46Speaker 2: come back, Jimmy Fayla will be with us. He's great,
- 18:48Speaker 2: very funny, does a great show every night at nine.
- 18:51Speaker 2: We'll talk to him next on seven to ten. Wo RR.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Simon show continues well, Jimmy Fayla, the great talk show host,
- 19:02Speaker 2: a great comedian. He's on every night here on w
- 19:05Speaker 2: o R nine to midnight. Excellent show nine to midnight
- 19:08Speaker 2: and you also want to watch his late night show.
- 19:10Speaker 2: It's the best one in television every Saturday night. There's
- 19:14Speaker 2: no better monologue anywhere in television. And even President Trump
- 19:19Speaker 2: has come out and said so, he's a huge fan.
- 19:20Speaker 2: It's Saturday nights at ten on the Fox News Channel.
- 19:24Speaker 2: Jimmy Fayla, How you doing good?
- 19:27Speaker 1: Thank you for that Trump plug. You know what dawned
- 19:30Speaker 1: on me though, Mark, it's you know, Trump tweeting about
- 19:33Speaker 1: your show and saying it's good is a great thing
- 19:35Speaker 1: until you realize you're a joke away from him tweeting
- 19:38Speaker 1: about your show a second time. But I'll say heale
- 19:43Speaker 1: the cab driver Jimmy Saylor.
- 19:47Speaker 2: But also it makes you nervous right now. You know
- 19:49Speaker 2: he's watching every week. Now you got to think about that.
- 19:51Speaker 1: Oh no, I like it in comedy, it's the great
- 19:54Speaker 1: it's a great thing. I didn't stand up when he
- 19:55Speaker 1: was at the Patriot Awards.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:57Speaker 1: And the magic trick of comedy is you don't read
- 20:01Speaker 1: the room. You have to lead the room. Somebody hands
- 20:03Speaker 1: you a microphone. You have to be so in charge.
- 20:05Speaker 1: It's like, do you want a guys robbing a bank?
- 20:07Speaker 1: And he fires a shot into the ceiling to get
- 20:09Speaker 1: everybody's attention. That's kind of how you do comedy when
- 20:13Speaker 1: you've got like a really powerful audience, because if you
- 20:17Speaker 1: don't have the whole bank's attention, you ain't getting out
- 20:19Speaker 1: of there with the money man. Yeah, that's that work.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Explain that again. So you don't read the room, don't
- 20:23Speaker 2: worry about what the lead through them. How do you
- 20:26Speaker 2: lead the room? Yes, comedy, that.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Is the thing you Yes, when you are a comic, Okay,
- 20:32Speaker 1: you control the conversation, the tone, the tenor the entire
- 20:36Speaker 1: vibe in the room because you're the only guy with
- 20:38Speaker 1: a microphone. Like the room is silent and they're listening
- 20:41Speaker 1: to what you have to say. So you lead the room.
- 20:44Speaker 1: What I mean by that is get the room to
- 20:46Speaker 1: the energy you want it to be and for your
- 20:48Speaker 1: jokes to work. Make sure they know you're bargaining with
- 20:50Speaker 1: them in good faith. You know, you want to be pleasant,
- 20:53Speaker 1: you want to be upbeat. But the thing is, every
- 20:55Speaker 1: joke needs to come with perspective, because that's what makes
- 20:58Speaker 1: it okay. When get in trouble, it's because they look
- 21:02Speaker 1: malicious or they don't you know, they look like they're
- 21:06Speaker 1: saying something for purposes other than laughter. You know, that's
- 21:10Speaker 1: the biggest knocking, like a Kimmel or a Colbert is
- 21:12Speaker 1: they're doing. They're making editorial statements, and that's why it's
- 21:16Speaker 1: not working. Okay, you don't come to the comedy show
- 21:20Speaker 1: to get a condescending lecture from that liberal and who
- 21:23Speaker 1: ruins Thanksgiving? But that's what Colbert is every night.
- 21:26Speaker 7: Even last night with the Ice stuff.
- 21:28Speaker 1: It's you know, so is my job as a comic
- 21:30Speaker 1: is to lead them to this like feel good place
- 21:32Speaker 1: where they don't have to agree with me to laugh
- 21:34Speaker 1: because I'm not saying anything other than this is what happened.
- 21:39Speaker 1: This is why it's funny. That's it.
- 21:41Speaker 2: Yeah, you know you watch Don Nicholson once in a
- 21:43Speaker 2: while aligned with bomb or get no laugh. He couldn't
- 21:45Speaker 2: care less. He would just crank it up ten more
- 21:47Speaker 2: notches and keep going. And so that's a good way
- 21:50Speaker 2: to lead the room. Hey, speaking of Colbert, so last
- 21:52Speaker 2: night he makes this awful joke about how the Nazis
- 21:55Speaker 2: are better than Ice. What the hell is he thinking.
- 22:00Speaker 7: Up?
- 22:01Speaker 1: But that's the point when he's editorializing about Ice, and
- 22:04Speaker 1: that's exactly why his show's getting deported on the First.
- 22:08Speaker 7: The CPS has thrown it out.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Of here because he's again he's what he's doing in
- 22:15Speaker 1: his room. Okay, is he's obviously catering to a very
- 22:19Speaker 1: one dimensional mindset. Okay.
- 22:22Speaker 7: We all have liberal friends, good liberal.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Friends, okay, who like to run on like a moral superiority.
- 22:27Speaker 1: They're good people, they're your.
- 22:28Speaker 7: Friends, you like them. I'm not disparaging them.
- 22:30Speaker 6: But he caters to a.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Crowd of people that want to believe they're better than
- 22:33Speaker 1: everybody else. So if you say, like, oh, Ice is
- 22:36Speaker 1: worse than the Nazis and the white supremacists who vote
- 22:39Speaker 1: for Trump, that allows his audience to go, eh, at
- 22:42Speaker 1: least I'm not those people. You know, I know better,
- 22:45Speaker 1: but they don't know better. Who is I supporting? Okay,
- 22:48Speaker 1: they're going to after sex offenders, you know, they're not
- 22:51Speaker 1: trying to exterminate a race of people. Come on, man, embarrassing.
- 22:55Speaker 2: So if you watch Fox News at night, Jesse Waters
- 22:58Speaker 2: is clowning around and Hannity a lot of information and serious,
- 23:01Speaker 2: but they're clowning around, they're having fun. Then gutt filed
- 23:04Speaker 2: you watch MSNBC, this guy's angry as hell. Then Rachel
- 23:07Speaker 2: Maddow comes up, she's even madder than Lawrence o'dnald comes out,
- 23:10Speaker 2: he's twice as angry. Who watches this kind of stuff?
- 23:12Speaker 2: Why would you want to get so riled up at night?
- 23:15Speaker 1: I know, because it really, like MSNBC is just group
- 23:19Speaker 1: therapy with hair and makeup. It's like imagine you were
- 23:22Speaker 1: imagine you were going to a support group, but everybody
- 23:25Speaker 1: there got their face powdered beforehand. That's essentially what it is,
- 23:29Speaker 1: and that and that's who's watching it, like for real,
- 23:32Speaker 1: Like the demographic of an MSNBC viewer is usually a
- 23:36Speaker 1: white liberal, like Lawrence o'donald's age, you know, fifty sixty
- 23:40Speaker 1: plus that you know. Just see he was saying the
- 23:43Speaker 1: other day, he Lawrence o'dnald was the one who said
- 23:45Speaker 1: that New York City plowing the streets was socialism. And
- 23:48Speaker 1: I was like, dude, the Department of Sanitation plowed the streets.
- 23:52Speaker 1: They did a phenomenal job. I dare you to go
- 23:55Speaker 1: walk into one of their garages and tell the guy
- 23:57Speaker 1: with the neck tattoo he's a socialist. It's not gonna
- 24:00Speaker 1: end good for you, Laurence o'donald. But that's the point.
- 24:03Speaker 1: It's the confirmation bias. People are watching for confirmation bias,
- 24:08Speaker 1: and that's not comedy. If if you're telling them just
- 24:11Speaker 1: what they want to hear, you're not being a comedian.
- 24:13Speaker 1: You're supposed to tell him jokes.
- 24:15Speaker 2: Ye, So explain Don Lemon to me. The guy doesn't
- 24:18Speaker 2: even have a job. He's out of work and he's
- 24:20Speaker 2: going to Minnesota. He's busting in the churches. What's he
- 24:23Speaker 2: doing this for?
- 24:26Speaker 1: It's the thing? So Don Lemon is obviously playing. It's
- 24:28Speaker 1: called the rage bait game. You know, you post provocative
- 24:32Speaker 1: things that'll get people mad and they'll click on your
- 24:35Speaker 1: video and be like, oh, show you, and you know,
- 24:38Speaker 1: you make money and you get attention. But what he's
- 24:40Speaker 1: essentially doing is just projecting all of his anger on
- 24:44Speaker 1: to the rest of.
- 24:44Speaker 7: The country because he's mad because no network will.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Hire him because he was a pain in the ass man. Like,
- 24:49Speaker 1: I met him a few times. Did you ever meet
- 24:50Speaker 1: him at any of these media mixers we go to.
- 24:52Speaker 2: No, but I met him, you know, socially, he's very
- 24:55Speaker 2: nice and he's a polite and he smiles. But I
- 24:57Speaker 2: never had to work with the guy.
- 24:59Speaker 5: No.
- 25:00Speaker 1: What happened was he got to this place where his
- 25:03Speaker 1: only job was to go on TV and tell.
- 25:05Speaker 7: You it was racist, and for a while there that was.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Like a fashionable thing. But it was so lazy and
- 25:12Speaker 1: reductive and devoid of any real context that it made
- 25:16Speaker 1: him worse at his job. Like, he was better at
- 25:18Speaker 1: his job in twenty twelve than he was two years
- 25:20Speaker 1: ago or even right now, but he got more fame
- 25:23Speaker 1: the worse he got at his job. Meaning that's racist,
- 25:25Speaker 1: that's crazy, that's racist. In the grievance era of like
- 25:28Speaker 1: the outrage Bob, that made him a bigger deal, you know,
- 25:31Speaker 1: because he had more oppression points than the other woke liberals.
- 25:34Speaker 1: You know, he was black, he was gay, so in
- 25:37Speaker 1: the in the liberal hierarchy of grievance, like you had
- 25:39Speaker 1: to deify him, and he got away with that until
- 25:43Speaker 1: he did it, you know. And the fact that they
- 25:44Speaker 1: didn't want to work with him anymore is something that
- 25:47Speaker 1: we're getting the bill for now because he's just trying
- 25:49Speaker 1: to upset everybody on social media. He's he's just basically
- 25:54Speaker 1: Joy Reid with a wig on. You know, I don't
- 25:56Speaker 1: know what to tell you.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Hey, oh Mar, you know that guy came up and
- 26:01Speaker 2: sprayed something all over It looked very dangerous. But I'm
- 26:03Speaker 2: watching the whole video. You know, it's fascinating. When the
- 26:05Speaker 2: guy does it and he looks like a raging maniac.
- 26:08Speaker 2: She actually charges the guy. She you're pretty brave. She
- 26:11Speaker 2: runs at the guy. You have a credit for that.
- 26:16Speaker 1: Yeah, man, I mean, you know, I don't know. They
- 26:19Speaker 1: said it was apple cider vinegar, and I get that's
- 26:21Speaker 1: what it was. I knew it wasn't wine because her
- 26:24Speaker 1: vineyard was fake. Yeah, she's a beast. She might get
- 26:28Speaker 1: pop for that. Yeah, But the point is, like, you know,
- 26:31Speaker 1: obviously that's another sign that everybody needs to chill out. Okay.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Half of my feet.
- 26:37Speaker 2: Is like, oh, it was fake.
- 26:38Speaker 1: I'm like, all right, we're not going to do that.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Because I have liberal friends who still think Trump faked
- 26:42Speaker 1: getting shot. I'm like, well he faked it so well
- 26:44Speaker 1: he got a guy killed. I mean, come on, man,
- 26:46Speaker 1: it's crazy.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Wow.
- 26:47Speaker 1: So I'm trying to take the edge off Mark Simon,
- 26:50Speaker 1: And that's why I hang out with mister New York
- 26:52Speaker 1: and can I mention, by the way, because so many
- 26:54Speaker 1: of your listeners come up to me on the street
- 26:55Speaker 1: and say hello on Sixth Avenue. If anybody wants to
- 26:58Speaker 1: come to my show. The tickets are free if you
- 27:00Speaker 1: go to Fox Across America dot com. You can go

- 27:08Speaker 1: me tell you jokes in the studio. I have three
- 27:10Speaker 1: of your listeners different three different times this week. I
- 27:13Speaker 1: was walking up to get my Greek food and hey,
- 27:15Speaker 1: say hello to mister New York.
- 27:17Speaker 6: I'm like, what did you come to my show?
- 27:19Speaker 1: So I don't have to perform on a street corner.
- 27:21Speaker 1: I left the prostitution business years ago.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Yeah, excellent, man. Jimmy Taylor has the best late night
- 27:25Speaker 2: show on television. On Saturday nights ten o'clock. You can
- 27:28Speaker 2: watch it and you don't have to be there Saturday
- 27:30Speaker 2: night ten. You tape it earlier, right.
- 27:32Speaker 1: So, yeah, we tape it up Friday nights. Come by, Okay, Hey,
- 27:35Speaker 1: they're free. Yeah, Foxcross America dot Com.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Great way to spend a Friday night and a great
- 27:40Speaker 2: the date night thing to do Friday night. And so
- 27:43Speaker 2: you can be in the audience to where do you go?
- 27:44Speaker 1: Fox need foxacross America dot com. You'll be hanging out
- 27:49Speaker 1: with me in the Fox Foxes Yeah, if you're on
- 27:52Speaker 1: a date, don't look at the Foxes. But if you're
- 27:53Speaker 1: there single, yeah, have some fun, all right, just don't
- 27:56Speaker 1: get good stuff.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Yeah, tickets to Jimmy Faylo's TV show and make sure
- 28:00Speaker 2: you're listening to him tonight nine o'clock. What do you
- 28:02Speaker 2: got on tonight's radio show?
- 28:04Speaker 1: Oh, we're getting nuts tonight Byron Donald Azzani might be
- 28:07Speaker 1: the next Governor of Florida. An authored by the name
- 28:10Speaker 1: of Madison Malloy, who's a great gal, super funny, but
- 28:14Speaker 1: she's filthy, like worse than a sailor in prison in
- 28:17Speaker 1: terms of her dialogue. So it's gonna be a couple
- 28:20Speaker 1: of beeps on the show tonight in New York. I'm
- 28:22Speaker 1: telling you in advance.
- 28:23Speaker 2: All right. Well, Jimmy fail is on here on wr
- 28:25Speaker 2: every night nine to midnight. Don't miss it, and make
- 28:28Speaker 2: sure watch your Saturday night show at ten o'clock and
- 28:32Speaker 2: foxacross America dot com. You can get tickets to be
- 28:34Speaker 2: in the audience there. Jimmy Fayli, great stuff, Thanks for
- 28:37Speaker 2: being with us.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Get a man mark, alright.
- 28:40Speaker 2: Take care. Yeah, he's a great show every night at
- 28:43Speaker 2: nine right here on seven to ten Wor.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Mister New York Marximone den Wor.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Well, Hey, yeah, getting back to mom Donnie talking about
- 28:57Speaker 2: the budget gap. We got this budget gap coming up
- 29:00Speaker 2: twelve billion. How do you make it up? Well, normally,
- 29:03Speaker 2: any common sense leader management CEO type would just cut costs.
- 29:08Speaker 2: You'd slash the budget. If we got a twelve there's
- 29:12Speaker 2: nothing but waste, fraud and bloating that budget. You just
- 29:14Speaker 2: cut it down easy. But if you're a crazy left
- 29:17Speaker 2: wing Democrat, all you can think is raise taxes. Now
- 29:21Speaker 2: you might say, well, Mom Donnie can't raise taxes. That's
- 29:24Speaker 2: up to the state. And Kathy Hoche is running for
- 29:27Speaker 2: reelection this year. She's not going to raise taxes in
- 29:30Speaker 2: an election year. But but Mom Donnie has made clear
- 29:35Speaker 2: to her he's still got his army, you know, these
- 29:38Speaker 2: people that got him elected, these army of organizers, this
- 29:41Speaker 2: army of people online, and they could go after her
- 29:46Speaker 2: in an election year. So that gives him some power
- 29:49Speaker 2: over her, some leverage. She does not want the Mom
- 29:51Speaker 2: Donnie crowd, especially the Mom Donnie strategists, organizers, everything working
- 29:56Speaker 2: against her, so he can push sure into certain things.
- 30:01Speaker 2: So that's the bad news. And as I said, before.
- 30:04Speaker 2: The good news is city council is very powerful, as
- 30:07Speaker 2: powerful as a mayor in some ways. And you've got
- 30:10Speaker 2: a new city council speaker who, although a Democrat, she's
- 30:14Speaker 2: a very moderate, common sense Democrat. She's the first Jewish
- 30:17Speaker 2: speaker of the city Council already forming an anti semitism
- 30:21Speaker 2: task for so she's a very very good counter to
- 30:25Speaker 2: Mom Donnie. So that's the good news. Hey, we're out
- 30:28Speaker 2: of time. I'll be back tomorrow. Here every day ten
- 30:31Speaker 2: to noon, or you could listen to the show anytime
- 30:34Speaker 2: you want. If you can't listen live, listen to the podcast.
- 30:37Speaker 2: That way you can hear it anytime day or night.
- 30:39Speaker 2: Also remember, if you're a podcast listener, you get an
- 30:42Speaker 2: extra show, a bonus segment on the weekend. So see
- 30:45Speaker 2: tomorrow at ten. Thanks a lot, thanks for everything. Back
- 30:48Speaker 2: tomorrow on seven to ten. WR
