- 0:00Speaker 1: What's better than two hours of Mark Simone? Three. The
- 0:04Speaker 1: Mark Simone Show. Now nine till noon weekdays.
- 0:07Speaker 2: 710WOR.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Hey, we'll take some calls. We always like new callers, too,
- 0:12Speaker 1: if you've never called us before. 800-321-0710 is the number.
- 0:14Speaker 2: 800-321-0710.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Let's go to Sebastian in Connecticut. Sebastian, how you doing?
- 0:30Speaker 2: Hi, Mark. I apologize for yesterday. It was a bad connection.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Thanks for taking a call. Yeah, I was trying to
- 0:36Speaker 2: talk to you about the campaign ad that Lamont put
- 0:39Speaker 2: out against Fazio. Yeah. Where he's got the pastor from Norwalk.
- 0:45Speaker 2: And in the ad, he says that they're being terrorized
- 0:49Speaker 2: and they're picking on black and brown people at the
- 0:52Speaker 2: church and so on and so on. And if somebody
- 0:55Speaker 2: can get through to Fazio and have him come back
- 0:58Speaker 2: with a counter that ad where they can show Don
- 1:02Speaker 2: Lemon actually terrorizing a church on a Sunday morning.
- 1:06Speaker 1: I got to be honest with you. You're a nice guy.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Don't open an advertising agency, whatever you do. You're not
- 1:11Speaker 1: exactly Don Draper here with the ads.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Oh, no. Okay. I apologize.
- 1:15Speaker 1: That's not a good ad.
- 1:16Speaker 2: It'd be nice to see a counter.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Well, actually, Ryan Fazio, what we're talking about is the
- 1:22Speaker 1: race for governor in Connecticut. Ned Lamont, who's seeking a
- 1:26Speaker 1: third term, which is never a good idea. Third terms
- 1:29Speaker 1: never work out. Lamont was a businessman, a very successful businessman.
- 1:34Speaker 1: As governor, he was pretty good the first term. Second term,
- 1:38Speaker 1: he went a little too woke and crazy and pandering
- 1:40Speaker 1: to the left too much, and he's not been the
- 1:43Speaker 1: best governor. But, no, you're right. Fazio, Ryan Fazio is
- 1:47Speaker 1: the Republican candidate. He's the guy I'd go for. He's
- 1:50Speaker 1: a moderate Republican, but he's very, very good.
- 1:53Speaker 2: And you're going to— My point is Don Lemon goes
- 1:57Speaker 2: into a church.
- 1:58Speaker 1: I'm begging you. I'm begging you. Stop mentioning Don Lemon.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Enough with the Don Lemon.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Okay.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Nobody cares about Don Lemon. It's not going to mean
- 2:04Speaker 1: anything in Connecticut. I know.
- 2:06Speaker 2: And by the way, Mark, how many Scandinavian blue-eyed blondes
- 2:10Speaker 2: from Sweden or Norway cross the border? Oh.
- 2:15Speaker 1: You'd have to swim. It's quite a swim. We don't
- 2:19Speaker 1: have a border with Norway. Anyway.
- 2:21Speaker 2: All right. Thanks for taking the call.
- 2:23Speaker 1: You're the truck driver, right? I think the fumes are
- 2:25Speaker 1: getting to you.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Yes.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Do me a favor. Roll down the window when you're driving.
- 2:28Speaker 1: The fumes are getting to you. Okay.
- 2:31Speaker 2: All right.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Thanks for calling. Actually, I had dinner with Don Lemon
- 2:35Speaker 1: once in Connecticut. I don't get mad. It was Clive
- 2:39Speaker 1: Davis who showed up with him. They were very close.
- 2:42Speaker 1: But as Don Lemon walked into the restaurant, crowded restaurant,
- 2:45Speaker 1: as he walked through the room, nobody knew who the
- 2:49Speaker 1: hell he was. Nobody. You remember, the guy had like
- 2:52Speaker 1: 400,000 viewers. It was a low-rated show. That's why they
- 2:55Speaker 1: got rid of him. But running an ad with Don
- 2:58Speaker 1: Lemon is not going to mean anything to anybody. But
- 3:01Speaker 1: that Ryan Fazio, he's the Republican nominee, Governor of Connecticut.
- 3:06Speaker 1: He'd be a good choice. He's been in the legislature
- 3:08Speaker 1: for years. Very common sense, sharp guy. Definitely, definitely the
- 3:13Speaker 1: guy you should vote for. Let's go to Kay in Manhattan. Kay,
- 3:16Speaker 1: how are you doing?
- 3:19Speaker 3: Well, thank you, Mark.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Are you sure?
- 3:22Speaker 3: Yes, I'm sure. I'd just like to say in regards
- 3:27Speaker 3: to AI and the panic that the Democrats are drumming
- 3:33Speaker 3: up about it, If they win, they will embrace AI.
- 3:38Speaker 3: They will make as much money as they can from it.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Well, they already do. This cartel, these AI companies, they're
- 3:48Speaker 1: huge Democratic donors already. They're all Democrats. In fact, they've
- 3:51Speaker 1: staffed their companies with a lot of Democrats and a
- 3:55Speaker 1: lot of Obama people are in there, in these companies.
- 3:59Speaker 1: What is that noise, Kay?
- 4:02Speaker 2: Oh, it's a siren.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Oh. Are they after you?
- 4:05Speaker 3: We live in Manhattan. Yes.
- 4:07Speaker 1: They're after you. Yeah, you sound like a troublemaker.
- 4:09Speaker 2: No.
- 4:09Speaker 1: You sound like a... I could see them coming. Anyway,
- 4:13Speaker 1: how old are you, Kay? I shouldn't ask that. That's
- 4:15Speaker 1: not a good question. Older. You're an older woman. An
- 4:18Speaker 1: older woman. No, you don't have to answer. You don't
- 4:20Speaker 1: have to answer.
- 4:21Speaker 3: Well, you never ask a lady her age.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Absolutely. That is very stupid of me. But you sound
- 4:26Speaker 1: like a very nice woman. All right, Kay. Stay out
- 4:28Speaker 1: of trouble.
- 4:30Speaker 2: All right. Talk to you later.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Let's go to Rusty in Florida. Rusty, how you doing?
- 4:36Speaker 2: Good, Mark. I'm doing great. How are you doing?
- 4:37Speaker 1: First time caller. Very good.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Democrats, what they're afraid of is AI is going to
- 4:43Speaker 2: end them. That's what it's going to end.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Yeah, no, no. They're not afraid of anything. No, it's
- 4:48Speaker 1: the new climate change. People aren't buying the climate change
- 4:51Speaker 1: crisis anymore because... They've been telling you for 30 years
- 4:54Speaker 1: we're going to be underwater. The glacier will melt. Nothing happened.
- 4:57Speaker 1: In fact, the opposite. So this is the new climate change.
- 4:59Speaker 1: AI is going to kill everybody. Where are you in Florida?
- 5:03Speaker 2: Fort Lauderdale. It's going to be harder for them to lie, though.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Well, both, you know, Republicans lie just as much. Politicians,
- 5:11Speaker 1: they all lie. That's what they do for a living. Yes,
- 5:15Speaker 1: they do. Good point. Thanks for calling. You know, it's funny.
- 5:18Speaker 1: If you lie to Congress, if you go speak and
- 5:21Speaker 1: testify in Congress. If you lie, they'll put you in jail.
- 5:26Speaker 1: But if the congressman lies to us, nothing happens. Nothing.
- 5:30Speaker 1: How many times has Adam Schiff been caught lying? How
- 5:32Speaker 1: many times has Ro Khanna been caught lying? There's no
- 5:36Speaker 1: bigger liar on earth than Richard Blumenthal. This guy lied
- 5:39Speaker 1: about serving in Vietnam. He's gotten caught in a million.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Nothing happens. So the law is if you lie to Congress,
- 5:47Speaker 1: you go to jail. If they lie to you, Nothing.
- 5:50Speaker 1: You know, in fact, the law actually is you cannot
- 5:54Speaker 1: sue anybody. They don't even face civil charges. You can't
- 5:58Speaker 1: sue anybody for anything they say in Congress. Remember when
- 6:03Speaker 1: Harry Reid made up that lie about he was trying
- 6:05Speaker 1: to stop Romney and on the Senate floor, he said
- 6:08Speaker 1: Romney has evaded taxes. He hasn't paid his taxes in years. Well,
- 6:12Speaker 1: there was no truth to that at all. But Romney
- 6:14Speaker 1: couldn't do anything about it. You can't sue for what
- 6:16Speaker 1: they say in Congress. That's the law. It's crazy. I know.
- 6:20Speaker 1: But Romney was a terrible candidate. He should have been
- 6:24Speaker 1: on TV that moment saying, come outside and say that
- 6:26Speaker 1: on the steps outside the building. Say it here. That
- 6:31Speaker 1: would have been the perfect comeback. Anyway, when we come back,
- 6:33Speaker 1: the Fed rate will be announced. Everybody's expecting an increase.
- 6:38Speaker 1: It'll be announced at 2 o'clock today. We've got the
- 6:39Speaker 1: best guy in the world on the subject. John Carney,
- 6:42Speaker 1: the best business editor in the world, Breitbart Business. We'll
- 6:46Speaker 1: talk to him next. On 710WOR.
