- 0:26Speaker 3: Major Wrestling for your podcast.
- 0:28Speaker 4: You know who I am, you know who Brian is.
- 0:29Speaker 3: But our guest at this time Frankie, because Arian, what's up?
- 0:33Speaker 4: Braggie?
- 0:34Speaker 5: What's up?
- 0:34Speaker 1: Guys?
- 0:34Speaker 5: All right? Today we are talking all things fish Town
- 0:37Speaker 5: beat Down two.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 0:39Speaker 5: The people want to know the biggest event of our
- 0:41Speaker 5: lives happened over the summer.
- 0:42Speaker 1: The fact that you said that and uh, outside of us,
- 0:46Speaker 1: three other people got that reference that are listening.
- 0:49Speaker 5: Sadly we've discussed it and burried it on our shows. Okay, cool,
- 0:52Speaker 5: thank you are very.
- 0:54Speaker 1: So it's been established well known. Okay, all right, can
- 0:57Speaker 1: we talk about Can we talk about the romantic setting
- 0:59Speaker 1: we have?
- 1:00Speaker 5: But the best here, the accommodation is the major wrestling figure.
- 1:02Speaker 1: We are currently in a brick storage space. Uh, probably
- 1:08Speaker 1: about ten by ten room with a little hallway.
- 1:11Speaker 5: Uh.
- 1:11Speaker 1: There's equipment and and tools and stuff everywhere. Can I
- 1:16Speaker 1: swear on this of course in case I do? Okay, Yeah,
- 1:19Speaker 1: toilet paper, there's toilet paper. That's good. There's a snowshell.
- 1:23Speaker 5: I think the Phantom of the Opera lives up there.
- 1:25Speaker 5: That giant ladder.
- 1:26Speaker 1: There's an empty box of fireball whist steel chairs. Yeah,
- 1:31Speaker 1: so we're looking, good man, a blower, a couple of
- 1:33Speaker 1: blowers if we need, you know.
- 1:35Speaker 5: But yeah, we're excited to have you on. We had
- 1:37Speaker 5: a little bonding experience, I would say, over the summer
- 1:39Speaker 5: at the Fishtown beat down.
- 1:41Speaker 4: Sure do you get paid for that?
- 1:43Speaker 1: I did get paid for that.
- 1:44Speaker 5: We all got paid, So we can't really bully Barry.
- 1:46Speaker 5: But it was it was an interesting event.
- 1:48Speaker 1: It was a it was touch and go there for
- 1:51Speaker 1: a while. I don't know how much of the store
- 1:52Speaker 1: you guys have told, but okay, okay, okay, yeah there
- 1:57Speaker 1: was Oh fuck, I can tell you a real piece
- 2:00Speaker 1: of ship. The promoters sitting in his car with the
- 2:05Speaker 1: engine running.
- 2:06Speaker 3: Never a good sign, A good sign, counting the same
- 2:09Speaker 3: dollars over and yeah, it's gonna magically be more.
- 2:11Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:12Speaker 1: And then I walked outside and two policemen were there,
- 2:15Speaker 1: and I don't know why they were there, but they
- 2:16Speaker 1: were just there.
- 2:17Speaker 5: I told him, do not leave. You stay right here
- 2:19Speaker 5: at the cops because I was like, some go out.
- 2:21Speaker 1: And then and then Brian, you came up to me
- 2:23Speaker 1: and there might be a problem here. I'm not this
- 2:26Speaker 1: again because I hadn't dealt with that in years.
- 2:28Speaker 5: Yeah, but it all worked out. We had a good
- 2:32Speaker 5: he's a man of myself that we didn't ask prior. Yeah,
- 2:35Speaker 5: it was only a seven hour show, so we had
- 2:36Speaker 5: a pretty big window to ask for our buddies, we
- 2:38Speaker 5: can get out of there, and we didn't do it.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I should have known when whenever you get to a
- 2:41Speaker 1: building before the ring.
- 2:43Speaker 5: Probably not again sign but either way, the silver lining
- 2:47Speaker 5: of that whole experience is we got to go to
- 2:48Speaker 5: Calowns late night. Andy hooked it up. We had a feast,
- 2:52Speaker 5: and that's like, you know, I guess our careers have
- 2:54Speaker 5: been like two ships to the night. We never really
- 2:56Speaker 5: have really been the same place.
- 2:58Speaker 1: I know, until until recently.
- 3:00Speaker 5: We got to hang out and talk at colloons every
- 3:01Speaker 5: gay time, and then I guess that's when we kind
- 3:02Speaker 5: of realized we had a lot of common interest or
- 3:04Speaker 5: your lifelong wrestling fans or yeah, yeah, so tell us
- 3:07Speaker 5: about that, like growing up for the first time, you
- 3:08Speaker 5: you know, were captivated by pro wrestling.
- 3:10Speaker 1: So for me, and I've I've said this before, but
- 3:13Speaker 1: like so my gateway into pro wrestling was the movie
- 3:15Speaker 1: Rocky three. Uh. It was a huge Rocky fan and
- 3:20Speaker 1: Rocky three especially UH just loved it, loved it. And
- 3:24Speaker 1: I was at the video store as a seven year
- 3:26Speaker 1: old boy, whatever it was, and I saw WrestleMania one
- 3:29Speaker 1: the cassette, the VHS tape, and on the cover was
- 3:34Speaker 1: Thunderlips and Clever Lang. I didn't know it was mister
- 3:37Speaker 1: t and Hlkok and I didn't know who before I thought,
- 3:39Speaker 1: and I was like, this is like a Thunderlips origin store.
- 3:42Speaker 4: What is this?
- 3:42Speaker 1: I had no idea. I've never heard me and my
- 3:45Speaker 1: cousin because I had no because I only knew them
- 3:46Speaker 1: from Rocky and so my mom rented it for me,
- 3:50Speaker 1: popped the tape in and it was like, oh, pro wrestling, okay,
- 3:53Speaker 1: this is you know, I'm probably into this. I like
- 3:54Speaker 1: comic books, I like Star Wars like you know. And
- 3:57Speaker 1: Tito Santana Versy the executioner saw that first match hooked.
- 4:01Speaker 1: And when I say hooked, I grew up in the eighties, obviously,
- 4:04Speaker 1: I was all in, obsessive just anything WWF. I could
- 4:10Speaker 1: get my hands on literally anything. I was all consuming, dude,
- 4:14Speaker 1: and it just and I never grew out of it.
- 4:16Speaker 5: Were you and kid? Yeah?
- 4:19Speaker 1: J And so those those toys came out right, like
- 4:22Speaker 1: that's right when those toys dropped. And I remember for
- 4:25Speaker 1: my birthday that year, I got my first figure since
- 4:30Speaker 1: I think we talked about that a little.
- 4:31Speaker 4: Bit on this podcast in a place was the was
- 4:35Speaker 4: the was the.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Iron Cheek lg in cool? And it was? And it
- 4:37Speaker 1: was it was cool because it wasn't the whole Cogan,
- 4:40Speaker 1: it was the it was the Iron Cheek. So I
- 4:41Speaker 1: had the bad guy, and so I had to get
- 4:43Speaker 1: the good guy. And so so Iron Cheek was my
- 4:45Speaker 1: first one. And uh and yeah, and I uh literally
- 4:49Speaker 1: had probably every nine of them. Some of the later
- 4:55Speaker 1: issues that I couldn't get my hands on that.
- 4:56Speaker 5: I had eight people realized some of those were only
- 4:58Speaker 5: in Canada.
- 4:59Speaker 4: Yeah okay, later ones were just in Canada, like the
- 5:02Speaker 4: Black Cards and stuff.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Yeah okay, okay, Yeah, So I never had Warrior, but
- 5:06Speaker 1: like so for me, it was you know, on the
- 5:09Speaker 1: back of the box, they showed you who was in
- 5:10Speaker 1: that series. And then as I got all those series,
- 5:13Speaker 1: like when you would get I would send away, I
- 5:16Speaker 1: would send proof of purchases away and I would LGN
- 5:18Speaker 1: would send me little catalogs and I would showcase all
- 5:20Speaker 1: the new ones and they're like these little, tiny, like
- 5:23Speaker 1: color catalogs and had all their toys, like the mask
- 5:25Speaker 1: toys and all the wall of things, and then and
- 5:27Speaker 1: then the wrestlers and it was the new line and
- 5:29Speaker 1: it was like, oh, that was how you first that
- 5:31Speaker 1: was how you first saw him. Was like, oh, they're
- 5:33Speaker 1: making st.
- 5:34Speaker 4: Jones.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Oh, they're making Corporal Kursher, they're making ten or CD,
- 5:37Speaker 1: which those the choices of those alone that's a whole
- 5:40Speaker 1: nother topic. But but it was like, wow, that was
- 5:42Speaker 1: the first time you saw him, and it's like can
- 5:43Speaker 1: you just see him in stores for months? And when
- 5:45Speaker 1: you finally did, it was like, oh, you're salivating.
- 5:47Speaker 5: So that's interest because like most kids like in that era,
- 5:49Speaker 5: you were like almost ahead of your time to even
- 5:51Speaker 5: have that like connection because most people just go, you know,
- 5:52Speaker 5: you turn the corner the eyland go.
- 5:54Speaker 1: What yeah, yeah, you know. I had the catalog, yeah,
- 5:59Speaker 1: but but it was like I didn't see in person
- 6:00Speaker 1: until I saw them there and all their shiny glory.
- 6:03Speaker 5: You know, people they don't realize I spoiled you know,
- 6:06Speaker 5: fan fast aw, they show you everything that's coming out.
- 6:08Speaker 5: For a year and a half, it was almost like
- 6:10Speaker 5: no surprises, you know what I mean, Like and you're
- 6:11Speaker 5: seeing like digital renders of these things before they're even
- 6:14Speaker 5: a real product there.
- 6:15Speaker 1: And it was like in the store. I grew up
- 6:16Speaker 1: in a small town in southern California, and the stores
- 6:18Speaker 1: I went into it had like, you know, it had
- 6:20Speaker 1: cheap vulcoff, Piper, Hibby Jim and Junk your Dog every
- 6:23Speaker 1: week every week. And I went in there and there's
- 6:25Speaker 1: there's big John Studd. Oh my god. It was like,
- 6:28Speaker 1: you know, just because because I knew what was in
- 6:31Speaker 1: there and I knew what I wanted to so it
- 6:32Speaker 1: was it was spectacular.
- 6:34Speaker 5: Wow. So you collected other stuff, other toys as.
- 6:37Speaker 1: A kid, Yeah, I collected other toys. I mean I was,
- 6:40Speaker 1: you know, like I get a kid of the eighties.
- 6:41Speaker 1: So I was into Star Wars. I was into Marble,
- 6:43Speaker 1: you know, all the stuff I'm still into. But we
- 6:46Speaker 1: just didn't grow up, no, And that's just it never
- 6:48Speaker 1: grew out of it.
- 6:48Speaker 5: It's like if you love for Rest and I think
- 6:50Speaker 5: that it's the boy wonder of it, I think, you
- 6:52Speaker 5: know what I mean. I always tell myself if I
- 6:53Speaker 5: if I lose that, then why am I doing this?
- 6:55Speaker 5: Because it's so hard and so weird and difficult.
- 6:57Speaker 1: I'm convinced this keeps us young.
- 6:58Speaker 6: Dude.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I like, you're whatever age you got into
- 7:02Speaker 3: the business at, you're that age forever.
- 7:04Speaker 5: That sounds about it. I just scrolled through the fan questions.
- 7:07Speaker 5: Someone's question was like, yeah, how are you the same
- 7:09Speaker 5: age forever? Or they're like, what's your sect?
- 7:11Speaker 1: Yeah, so I got in when I was twenty nineteen twenty.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Yes, we're superture a little bit, you get families, little
- 7:16Speaker 3: bit of a dog, but like, yeah, I mean last night.
- 7:18Speaker 4: We're out to like Thwough the morning hotel, like drink
- 7:19Speaker 4: and there were like.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Oh yeah, we're grown telling ridiculous stories.
- 7:23Speaker 5: I'm wishing nothing yet.
- 7:25Speaker 4: And I didn't feel bad about it one band.
- 7:26Speaker 1: I felt normal laughing over the dumbest stuff ever. But
- 7:29Speaker 1: uh no, I agree. I did collect other stuff, uh DC, Marvel,
- 7:32Speaker 1: Toy Star Wars, but like again, I was so obsessed
- 7:34Speaker 1: with wrestling it was like that was it. I remember
- 7:37Speaker 1: specifically with LGN, like, uh, I don't you guys would
- 7:41Speaker 1: know this better than I did. But when they came
- 7:43Speaker 1: out with a blue cage, like I don't was that
- 7:45Speaker 1: available in stores because I had to send away for it.
- 7:48Speaker 4: He had it.
- 7:48Speaker 5: I never had it. I just got it, like last year.
- 7:50Speaker 5: I didn't have a kid.
- 7:51Speaker 1: I sent away and it came. I ordered that and
- 7:54Speaker 1: it came, and I also ordered the Bulldogs, so I got.
- 7:58Speaker 1: I came home from school one day and I had
- 7:59Speaker 1: this big pack. You know, the blue cage in the
- 8:01Speaker 1: Bulldog of Dude. Unbelievable. But I don't remember. I don't
- 8:04Speaker 1: remember that ever. I mean just remember them seeing I
- 8:06Speaker 1: never saw it in a store, so I had as.
- 8:08Speaker 3: A kid, But I don't know if I got it
- 8:10Speaker 3: like secondhand or had a garage cellar in a store.
- 8:12Speaker 4: I was so young. I know I had it. I
- 8:14Speaker 4: just don't know how I got it or where I got.
- 8:15Speaker 5: It's a quality item I just got. It's very thick
- 8:18Speaker 5: and durable for those figures and whatnot. Yeah, the door
- 8:21Speaker 5: is like a misconception because it doesn't work, but.
- 8:23Speaker 4: The door open, it's like right there, just like let
- 8:25Speaker 4: it articulate a little bit.
- 8:26Speaker 1: I like the blue cage, but I never had to
- 8:28Speaker 1: work in it, so I understand why Guy's stone.
- 8:30Speaker 5: Yeah, I couldn't imagine bumping on it dance sounds like a nightmare. Yeah.
- 8:32Speaker 4: Did you ever try to kill anybody with a King
- 8:34Speaker 4: Kong Bundy?
- 8:35Speaker 1: J Oh yeah, because it was like a brick.
- 8:38Speaker 5: Yeah, It's basically like, yeah, pretty pretty stiff ski.
- 8:41Speaker 1: You could do damage with if you if you just
- 8:43Speaker 1: pistol up somebody with one of those like a ted
- 8:45Speaker 1: RCD or something.
- 8:46Speaker 5: Or another questionable addition to the line teed r CD.
- 8:50Speaker 5: Did we really need that?
- 8:51Speaker 4: Did so?
- 8:51Speaker 5: Like you play with these things that you were you
- 8:53Speaker 5: like you had what we would call a fig fed
- 8:55Speaker 5: like you're you're in charge of what's going on storyline.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Yeah, so we did that and then really got into
- 9:01Speaker 1: it on that level when the hasbro.
- 9:05Speaker 5: My next question, did this evolve to that?
- 9:08Speaker 1: And I was so obsessed with it, like I would
- 9:12Speaker 1: you know, you know, we'd have our matches, Me and
- 9:14Speaker 1: my buddy would come over and like, you know, like
- 9:16Speaker 1: I would put together my half the card, he would
- 9:18Speaker 1: book his half of the card, you know, and like
- 9:19Speaker 1: we would go back and forth my matches.
- 9:21Speaker 5: I never heard this mark of the same thing about
- 9:23Speaker 5: him and his buddy, like a yeah, that was a situation.
- 9:26Speaker 1: I would book my matches and you book his and
- 9:28Speaker 1: like I would do commentary for his matches and he
- 9:31Speaker 1: would do commentary for my match. Wow, and the things
- 9:34Speaker 1: I would get so pissed off at him because like
- 9:37Speaker 1: when he was when he was having his matches, I
- 9:39Speaker 1: was all in. I was like, look at that. Oh
- 9:41Speaker 1: he reversed hiptos a close over the toe, and like,
- 9:45Speaker 1: I was so into it. And when he was doing mine,
- 9:47Speaker 1: he would be mailing it in. So I'd be and
- 9:51Speaker 1: he and he, and he'd be like, oh, it's but
- 9:53Speaker 1: the thing I go.
- 9:54Speaker 5: The thing.
- 9:56Speaker 1: The thing way that that was a polish hammer. It's
- 9:59Speaker 1: like your man, Dude. I would get mad at my
- 10:01Speaker 1: friend for not doing commentary correctly on my stupid toy match.
- 10:06Speaker 1: But yeah, and dude, and then when the again I'm
- 10:09Speaker 1: a little bit older than you guys, but w W
- 10:11Speaker 1: A fan club was the thing, and they okay, and
- 10:14Speaker 1: they would send you like your your sign up package
- 10:16Speaker 1: every year, and they started including the tapes of the
- 10:19Speaker 1: entrance and it was like, dude, now we have entrance music.
- 10:24Speaker 1: So it's like the first one was like ultimate Owyer,
- 10:26Speaker 1: Jimmy Snook, like a couple of some they were pretty shitty,
- 10:29Speaker 1: but uh, but it was like doesn't matter. It's like
- 10:31Speaker 1: we have interest music and I was like coming to
- 10:32Speaker 1: the ring play. Yeah, so it really evolved.
- 10:37Speaker 5: Yeah, that was it's still the best.
- 10:41Speaker 1: What's what's quick question? Best entrance music ever of that era,
- 10:47Speaker 1: of that era, but I was just yeah.
- 10:49Speaker 5: I love Texas Tornado for some reason.
- 10:51Speaker 4: That's okay, all right, I just love Hogans. It's on
- 10:53Speaker 4: my Jim playlist day.
- 10:55Speaker 5: That's yeah, gets a pass.
- 10:58Speaker 4: Like the Warriors on my gym Warriors that those are
- 11:00Speaker 4: still good. Yeah.
- 11:02Speaker 1: My favorite from that era, hands down is Jive Soul bro.
- 11:05Speaker 4: Oh that's a great and a great video as.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Well, dude, that is I love.
- 11:10Speaker 5: I love Dusties too.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Season's good too. Yeah, those all had so much charm
- 11:15Speaker 1: to you know, yeah, the charm.
- 11:17Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, our fake pad days we were just as crazy.
- 11:20Speaker 4: I would. I remember for the Undertaker, I turned the
- 11:22Speaker 4: lights off. Yeah l O D. I do like the
- 11:24Speaker 4: strobe light but it was just like me flickering the
- 11:26Speaker 4: lights on and off.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Commitment to a gig man, you have to commit.
- 11:29Speaker 5: We would.
- 11:29Speaker 1: We would always like the days of pay per views, uh,
- 11:32Speaker 1: Summer Slams, oil Rumbles, whatever, if I had them in
- 11:35Speaker 1: my house. My buddies would come over at least or
- 11:37Speaker 1: my buddy, the three of us that would admit we
- 11:39Speaker 1: liked pro wrestling back then, and we would always they
- 11:41Speaker 1: come over a couple hours la because we'd have we
- 11:43Speaker 1: do the pay per view with the with the guys
- 11:45Speaker 1: before the pay per view, you know, like we're all
- 11:47Speaker 1: rumbles were hard to do because you got.
- 11:49Speaker 5: To combine your figures. Yeah.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Yeah, well, like we always had the same pretty much
- 11:54Speaker 1: the same. But like I remember with the Hasbro ones,
- 11:55Speaker 1: my buddy had Demolition and I couldn't find them anywhere.
- 11:58Speaker 1: So I'm like, hey, can you bring your Demolition and
- 12:00Speaker 1: guys because like the like with the LGN guys. Going
- 12:03Speaker 1: back to that, I remember I I loved Ultimate Oire
- 12:06Speaker 1: and why don't you make an ultim oyre doll toy
- 12:10Speaker 1: figure sorry doll whatever, And I was like.
- 12:13Speaker 5: You know what, we don't have to do it on
- 12:15Speaker 5: this show.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Yeah, sorry, I just committed a sense. Sorry. I used
- 12:19Speaker 1: to have like an aunt do be like you're still
- 12:20Speaker 1: playing with the wrestling dolls and I'm.
- 12:22Speaker 4: Like they're not dolls.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Yeah, but anyway, so I made my Paul Owen door
- 12:26Speaker 1: for Ultimate o Wire a little customed there. I was like, yeah,
- 12:28Speaker 1: I was like, yeah, Paul was jacked. So I painted
- 12:32Speaker 1: his face. I painted extra long brown hair on his back.
- 12:34Speaker 1: I put I put this cut these little vinyl and
- 12:36Speaker 1: put tassels. But yeah, but so you know, me and
- 12:41Speaker 1: my friends had pretty much the same guys. But you know,
- 12:43Speaker 1: I if I had something he did, he'd bring just
- 12:45Speaker 1: those guys over. They were like, you know, we we
- 12:48Speaker 1: both bring bring your Hogan over because his mind's a
- 12:50Speaker 1: little beat.
- 12:51Speaker 5: Up and speaker.
- 12:52Speaker 3: That's like if I played very hard, So I'd go
- 12:54Speaker 3: to my friend's house and I'd swap him out to
- 12:55Speaker 3: get like a mint or one.
- 12:56Speaker 4: You know, like my Warrior always the trunks. War always
- 13:01Speaker 4: had like the black nose. So if I messed up
- 13:02Speaker 4: the nose, I'll switch it out.
- 13:04Speaker 1: You know, there's a couple I had to double up.
- 13:08Speaker 1: I did my LGN Hogan. I had to get two
- 13:10Speaker 1: or three of them. I had the one white pants
- 13:12Speaker 1: and I had the one with the white with the
- 13:14Speaker 1: white variant. That's a cool one.
- 13:15Speaker 4: I love that Mattel just made that figure.
- 13:17Speaker 3: Like again, I saw that pretty like in saying that
- 13:20Speaker 3: they're going back to that line. They just did the
- 13:22Speaker 3: Terry Funk logan. They're doing Jake and Rick Rude. They're
- 13:25Speaker 3: pretty like, that's pretty nuts. They're articulated, like yeah, you know,
- 13:29Speaker 3: just as as cool as like any new figure. But
- 13:31Speaker 3: it's in that old style, the old paint.
- 13:33Speaker 1: That's cool.
- 13:34Speaker 4: It's supposed to be an LJA and look at the
- 13:36Speaker 4: l J. Sure.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I did see that one.
- 13:38Speaker 4: I did.
- 13:39Speaker 1: I also did a custom Hogan back in the day
- 13:40Speaker 1: because one uh Saturday Night's main event, he wore like
- 13:43Speaker 1: turquoise trunks, like yeah, but this is long before that.
- 13:48Speaker 1: This is like.
- 13:50Speaker 5: Eighty six, like like that.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Exclusive tuoise with white and I don't know if he
- 13:58Speaker 1: I think yeah, I think he wrestled Harry Funk that night.
- 14:00Speaker 1: It was a sand Night's main event. It was like
- 14:02Speaker 1: one of the first Saturdays and Hogan's wearing turquoise and
- 14:04Speaker 1: I never saw it before since, but I thought it
- 14:06Speaker 1: looked so cool. So I painted a turquoise you know.
- 14:09Speaker 5: So I'm gonna fast forward pretty far into let's do it.
- 14:11Speaker 5: Your first action figure comes pretty deep into your career.
- 14:15Speaker 5: Is this like a big milestone video are peeking out of?
- 14:18Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 14:19Speaker 1: I mean so like my first we're talking about my
- 14:21Speaker 1: T and A one. Yeah, Okay, So yeah, that Yeah,
- 14:24Speaker 1: I was. However, and I think I've talked about this,
- 14:27Speaker 1: like that particular day they photographed like I was just
- 14:30Speaker 1: doing the suicide character, just came back as myself and
- 14:33Speaker 1: they photographed me and like my hair was in a
- 14:37Speaker 1: weird length. We've been that that image of me is
- 14:43Speaker 1: what they used for my action figure. I looked like
- 14:44Speaker 1: that for like one week of my life and that's
- 14:47Speaker 1: what they used for my action figure. So uh so,
- 14:51Speaker 1: you know, the bitter scumbag of music would they use
- 14:54Speaker 1: that look? But like when the guy, like I was
- 14:56Speaker 1: friendly with the guy at the time, he sent me
- 14:57Speaker 1: the actual prototype of my guy and I still have.
- 14:59Speaker 4: It, and it was like that's pretty cool.
- 15:01Speaker 5: It's cool.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I have that put away and uh, you know,
- 15:03Speaker 1: seeing it the first time was like, yeah, man, this
- 15:05Speaker 1: is this is this is cool. And then when my
- 15:07Speaker 1: most recent one came out, I think, you know, I
- 15:09Speaker 1: appreciated it a lot more because like I have a
- 15:11Speaker 1: son now, yeah, and you know, like going to a
- 15:13Speaker 1: store and seeing it, it's like it's it's surreal, Like
- 15:17Speaker 1: you guys probably experienced it too. It's just like this
- 15:19Speaker 1: is cool, man.
- 15:21Speaker 5: You can take away from you right, you know what
- 15:22Speaker 5: I mean it's just we get it, you know.
- 15:24Speaker 3: I mean, really, you're next to like Darth Vader. They're
- 15:26Speaker 3: still making Darth Vader's, you know, like you're you can
- 15:28Speaker 3: technically be on the same shelf.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Vader grew up in those toy aisles, and now our
- 15:33Speaker 1: likeness is in those toy Yeah. Sometimes you know, we
- 15:37Speaker 1: don't see the forest for the trees.
- 15:39Speaker 5: But yeah, this just sparked something in my mind. Do
- 15:42Speaker 5: you count suicide merchandise as like your merchandise?
- 15:45Speaker 1: Oh damn well, I think it came royalty wise, yeah, yeah,
- 15:51Speaker 1: paid for accounts yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, but uh that
- 15:56Speaker 1: that figure was yeah, I mean I don't I have
- 15:58Speaker 1: that one, but I don't.
- 16:00Speaker 5: Cool Actually, yeah, that's what we would say is toy
- 16:02Speaker 5: because very different compar to like Joe Schmo and Trunk.
- 16:05Speaker 1: I mean, I was the guy that was photographed for
- 16:08Speaker 1: the action figure and for all that. Because I was
- 16:09Speaker 1: I wasn't count that. Yeah, so that's.
- 16:12Speaker 5: Kind of a unique thing. Yeah yeah, and she was
- 16:16Speaker 5: not Atlanta merch.
- 16:17Speaker 1: He didn't yeah, t shirts until they realized that you
- 16:20Speaker 1: can't sell something and says suicide on it.
- 16:22Speaker 5: So they six months ago, and why it took so
- 16:26Speaker 5: long even when I came here to we're still this
- 16:29Speaker 5: guy because he'd been like nine people at this Yeah. Yeah,
- 16:31Speaker 5: it was like really, yeah, we're trying to make money
- 16:33Speaker 5: up this video game for two thousand and seven.
- 16:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 16:36Speaker 1: The figure I thought actually looked cool, like the character
- 16:38Speaker 1: looked cool. It was just not a comfortable.
- 16:42Speaker 4: No. I would say, your new a figure at this point,
- 16:46Speaker 4: not that new, but not tan enough.
- 16:48Speaker 1: No, I appreciate that. Yeah, I could have been darker.
- 16:50Speaker 4: Yeah, oh look, oh look I'm looking at the real
- 16:53Speaker 4: man right now.
- 16:54Speaker 5: And the figure I saw Frankie It'slamiversary and I said,
- 16:57Speaker 5: look at this had a hair you got ripped off.
- 16:59Speaker 1: I know. Yeah again again they they photographed that. I
- 17:02Speaker 1: think maybe the day that scorp and I won the title.
- 17:05Speaker 1: So uh so the gear and everything is spot on,
- 17:08Speaker 1: but yeah, I could have uh you know, I work
- 17:09Speaker 1: hard on this damn tan and uh you know they
- 17:12Speaker 1: could have Yeah, come on, come on, come on.
- 17:15Speaker 3: So we work with this company, Super seven. They made
- 17:18Speaker 3: figures of us, and this is real, I wrote the
- 17:20Speaker 3: head of the company. He said, this figure needs to
- 17:22Speaker 3: be more jacked and more tag on.
- 17:26Speaker 5: It.
- 17:26Speaker 3: Yeah, and he busts my balls about it, tells him.
- 17:28Speaker 3: He said he wants to be a more jacked Yeah, no,
- 17:30Speaker 3: should I do?
- 17:30Speaker 5: Yeah? Fun story, you're doing.
- 17:32Speaker 1: The Lord's work. Yeah, but yeah, this one is cool
- 17:34Speaker 1: because it was the first. It was the first one
- 17:36Speaker 1: that came with the with the a W tags, so like.
- 17:38Speaker 4: That was cool.
- 17:39Speaker 5: Anytime a belt debuts, Yeah, we get excited about that.
- 17:41Speaker 5: They're going to go Yeah that was Are you aware
- 17:43Speaker 5: of the Amazon exclusive two path Yeah?
- 17:45Speaker 1: I have that as well with the red gear.
- 17:47Speaker 5: So we have this psychopath. He does all our social
- 17:50Speaker 5: media and stuff and he is a how do you
- 17:53Speaker 5: explain d freedom. He analyzes wrestling figures for like the inaccuracies.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Basically basically sounds like a well well together yeah yeah, yeah.
- 18:02Speaker 5: He'll do like an in depth right up about something and.
- 18:04Speaker 4: That if the wrist tape is the wrong color, like
- 18:07Speaker 4: he'll spot it.
- 18:07Speaker 5: Oh, or he'll be like, well, it's accurate to the
- 18:10Speaker 5: studio photo, but not when he actually did the match
- 18:12Speaker 5: that it's depicting. That doesn't make any sense.
- 18:14Speaker 3: Here here's a weird a weird trivia fact is Ultimate
- 18:16Speaker 3: Warrior Wrestler Radio six. I don't know where he's filming,
- 18:19Speaker 3: like the backstage, you know, interview but he at one
- 18:22Speaker 3: point he switches his like risk. I don't know if
- 18:25Speaker 3: he took his ship, he took his wrist bands off,
- 18:26Speaker 3: but he put him back out.
- 18:27Speaker 4: He put him on the reverse way.
- 18:29Speaker 3: So all of the figures depict like how he did it,
- 18:32Speaker 3: like studio shots or backstage up but he didn't wear
- 18:34Speaker 3: it that way in the mask.
- 18:36Speaker 4: Yeah right right.
- 18:37Speaker 5: It's crazy because he's nuts, this guy, but he's incredble
- 18:40Speaker 5: at what he does. Okay, Yeah, so I know for sure.
- 18:43Speaker 5: He broke down that Amazon tupac and said that this
- 18:45Speaker 5: like fantasy gear, like you guys did not wear that.
- 18:48Speaker 1: No, we did.
- 18:49Speaker 5: He's saying, it's like way inaccurate.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Uh so I don't.
- 18:52Speaker 5: I don't.
- 18:53Speaker 1: If I had it in front of me, I could look.
- 18:54Speaker 1: But we did wear that's that's red gear. Okay, cool?
- 18:57Speaker 4: Cool?
- 18:58Speaker 1: Uh yeah, I mean we have gear that was red
- 19:00Speaker 1: and my then the jacket I wore was black and red.
- 19:03Speaker 5: It I think that's actually what he was saying, that
- 19:05Speaker 5: the jacket definitely doesn't exist or something.
- 19:07Speaker 1: I mean, I can, Uh, it's hanging in my closet,
- 19:10Speaker 1: so it so the package. I I obviously have it
- 19:13Speaker 1: in the box. I've been taking it out and looked
- 19:15Speaker 1: at see how accurate it is. But uh, we did
- 19:17Speaker 1: have gear like that, and we did wear it.
- 19:20Speaker 5: With the red Okay, I got it right here on Amazon,
- 19:22Speaker 5: by the way, still for purchase. Guys.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Yeah, that's so. That jacket's pretty close. The Sky had that. Yeah,
- 19:30Speaker 1: that jacket's pretty close.
- 19:31Speaker 5: Jacket exists.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Yeah, that's hanging, yes, hanging in my closet.
- 19:34Speaker 5: Ye right, I'm saying that. No, no, this is no
- 19:37Speaker 5: way what you guys wore.
- 19:40Speaker 4: Uh.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I will when I when I'm home, I will
- 19:42Speaker 1: text you both photos of that.
- 19:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:45Speaker 5: Yeah, so uh and that' stuff they gave scope of
- 19:48Speaker 5: your hands, your real hands.
- 19:49Speaker 6: Okay, ye see you know what Yeah yeah man, yeah,
- 19:54Speaker 6: now you know now you're uh now I feel my
- 19:57Speaker 6: poor guy feel insecure for him because he's pasty.
- 20:00Speaker 1: And I worked very hard on this tan.
- 20:02Speaker 5: And do you know, I don't know if you know this,
- 20:03Speaker 5: but series one of these was like the Bucks Cody
- 20:06Speaker 5: Jericho or whatever. The original ones were, like the Colorless Wall.
- 20:09Speaker 4: Casp for the Ghost White were they really.
- 20:11Speaker 5: I didn't know that they all had to fix the
- 20:13Speaker 5: whole oh man, because they're all like.
- 20:16Speaker 3: I would have been furious if I was in that set.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Oh my god, quit the biz.
- 20:20Speaker 1: I don't know if your listeners know that that Cordona
- 20:22Speaker 1: and I are are constantly battling for Tannisman and play wrestling. Well,
- 20:26Speaker 1: we're both, We're both we're both trying to reach the
- 20:29Speaker 1: unachievable ninety seven Hogan.
- 20:30Speaker 3: No, I mean, I don't think there's anything wrong with that.
- 20:32Speaker 3: I like me and Jelsea had an argument that she
- 20:35Speaker 3: was telling me that I was too tannem.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Like they know such thing.
- 20:37Speaker 3: I'm not tanning this way to go on a day
- 20:38Speaker 3: with you. I'm a pro wrestler, right right right.
- 20:41Speaker 5: My wife had argument with her. She's like, I don't
- 20:43Speaker 5: want your tanner on my legs. If I get that
- 20:44Speaker 5: you're a female trying to good for like pro wrestling,
- 20:47Speaker 5: you can't be can't.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Be enough t Yeah until I'm until I'm Hogan ninety seven.
- 20:52Speaker 1: That's that's no, I can't.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Yeah, We've got in a text argument she sent me
- 20:55Speaker 3: like the gift of like Ross from friends when he
- 20:58Speaker 3: has that Tannags line and said, I set it back?
- 20:59Speaker 3: What ho get played the air guitar that belt like
- 21:02Speaker 3: That's what I'm going for?
- 21:03Speaker 1: Oh yeah, think of that too. Think of like that
- 21:06Speaker 1: that's just sun and tanning beds, because that's like the eighties.
- 21:10Speaker 4: That's like, there wasn't spring real. That's he's a real man.
- 21:12Speaker 1: That was his skin.
- 21:14Speaker 5: What I hadn't really processed that, that's.
- 21:16Speaker 1: That was his skin. You know, the hours he had
- 21:19Speaker 1: to spend in beds and on the beach.
- 21:21Speaker 5: I remember when I first met Joe Henning became friends
- 21:23Speaker 5: with him. I was like, because I'm such a mark
- 21:24Speaker 5: from Miss Perfect, I was like, how is you dad?
- 21:25Speaker 5: I was not an amazing thing. He goes bro We had
- 21:27Speaker 5: a tanning bit in our house. Yeah, so I'm like,
- 21:29Speaker 5: oh wow.
- 21:29Speaker 4: I need something like that.
- 21:31Speaker 1: So my my family owned a tanning slum for for
- 21:33Speaker 1: fifteen years and when we sold it, my parents kept
- 21:37Speaker 1: a bed and they have it and I still use
- 21:38Speaker 1: it so I have access to attending.
- 21:40Speaker 5: That's the bulbs and switching.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I switch out bulbs every couple of years.
- 21:43Speaker 1: But bulbs last because I'm the only one that uses it,
- 21:45Speaker 1: so they last for a long time.
- 21:46Speaker 4: Yeah. Cool.
- 21:47Speaker 3: One time I was tanning and the tanning bed doing
- 21:49Speaker 3: something maybe I should have been doing at Gallows Cave
- 21:52Speaker 3: it and opened it up and it scared his both
- 21:54Speaker 3: if you.
- 21:54Speaker 5: Get it's one of the it's one of those times
- 21:56Speaker 5: like I laughed so hard something like something my body
- 21:59Speaker 5: was like to give out. I was laughing. Yeah, I
- 22:02Speaker 5: finished tanning. I walk out. I run into Gallows in
- 22:05Speaker 5: the hallway and he goes, oh, where's where's bros? Guy said,
- 22:07Speaker 5: always in this room, And I like hit the handle
- 22:08Speaker 5: and opened up a gals. It's just like like I
- 22:11Speaker 5: just given him a present, and he runs towards the bed,
- 22:14Speaker 5: screams and whips it open.
- 22:16Speaker 1: And oh now, and then oh boy.
- 22:19Speaker 5: He starts screaming, We're I was like convulsing and laughter,
- 22:23Speaker 5: like I thought I was gonna puke or something like.
- 22:25Speaker 5: The question is did you finish as when it was
- 22:29Speaker 5: like almost like a blackout?
- 22:30Speaker 1: Oh god?
- 22:31Speaker 5: Yeah, wow man, it's all happened so quick.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Oh god. Oh man.
- 22:35Speaker 5: On that note, yes, let's hit some of these questions. Yeah, man,
- 22:39Speaker 5: I was gonna ask on this anyway. And this is
- 22:40Speaker 5: kind of a very general question, but you famously trained
- 22:44Speaker 5: with Killer Kowalski. So Chris Sullivan's asking, how is the
- 22:46Speaker 5: training with Killer Kowalska. I mean that's kind of a
- 22:49Speaker 5: I mean wild thing.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Then you know, yeah, it was it was pretty surreal,
- 22:53Speaker 1: really cool. Like I moved from southern California to Malden, Massachusetts.
- 22:57Speaker 5: Talking about I just made up in my mind that
- 23:00Speaker 5: you were from Boston.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Yeah, most people have thought that, but yeah, yeah, no,
- 23:04Speaker 1: I you know, I'd research schools and I'd sent away,
- 23:06Speaker 1: and like my options that I had narrowed it down
- 23:08Speaker 1: to were the power Plant, the Heart Dungeon, and qual
- 23:11Speaker 1: Skis and those are the three that sent me back.
- 23:13Speaker 1: Literature and stuff and all that. And actually Brett Hart
- 23:16Speaker 1: recommend to Kwalski's and I was a huge Brett Hart guy,
- 23:18Speaker 1: and so yeah, so i'd you know, I was working
- 23:20Speaker 1: at Champ Sports, saving up money, you know, and yeah,
- 23:22Speaker 1: I drove out there and it was cool because I
- 23:25Speaker 1: was I was lucky enough that Walter was still getting
- 23:28Speaker 1: in the ring and showing hands on and I had
- 23:31Speaker 1: I was nineteen twenty years old, I had no friends.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Walter really took me in, Like he picked me up
- 23:37Speaker 1: for every practice. So we got to you know, we'd
- 23:39Speaker 1: go out to eat and we'd go to practice. So
- 23:41Speaker 1: I got there early, I got to stay late. I would,
- 23:43Speaker 1: I would, And he liked me to drive. He didn't
- 23:45Speaker 1: like to drive at that point in his life, so
- 23:46Speaker 1: I'd drive his car, we'd go to church. He'd like
- 23:48Speaker 1: going to church on Sunday, so I'd go to church
- 23:50Speaker 1: with him and breakfast and and so I had the
- 23:52Speaker 1: benefit of having like, you know, an extra hour before
- 23:54Speaker 1: class started with Walter, and you know, I got to
- 23:56Speaker 1: stay aft so like he was, he was one of
- 23:58Speaker 1: my only friends out there. So uh, hands down, it
- 24:02Speaker 1: put me light years above where I would have been
- 24:04Speaker 1: just getting those fundamentals. And especially when I moved back
- 24:06Speaker 1: to California and saw a lot of the dog shit
- 24:09Speaker 1: that was going on there, Like I just my fundamentals
- 24:11Speaker 1: were on a different level just because of the way I
- 24:13Speaker 1: was broken. So yeah, man, if if it wasn't for that,
- 24:16Speaker 1: there's no way my career would have progressed how it did.
- 24:18Speaker 5: Some people in my school. I'm like, the more time
- 24:20Speaker 5: you spend here, that quickly you're going to pick this up,
- 24:23Speaker 5: like if you've got to be a sponge, and it's
- 24:24Speaker 5: just so much to digest and understand.
- 24:27Speaker 1: We're still ude, We're still us, We're still learning.
- 24:29Speaker 5: Man. Uh Johnny JB. Where's your favorite city or place
- 24:33Speaker 5: to perform in?
- 24:37Speaker 1: I have a lot. I don't know if I have
- 24:38Speaker 1: one Like New York City is always cool. The crowd's good, man.
- 24:41Speaker 5: Most people just say no way, all my friends hate
- 24:43Speaker 5: New York and then.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Yeah, because I you know again, I'm you know, southern California,
- 24:49Speaker 1: small town kids, so New York may as well have
- 24:51Speaker 1: been you know, Paris, France to me as a little boy.
- 24:54Speaker 1: So that's cool, Like, you know, the Philly's always fun.
- 24:57Speaker 1: Japan obviously has always always had a great time in Japan.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Europe is great. One of my favorite matches was in Dublin,
- 25:04Speaker 1: Ireland for for Impact years ago, me and CD against Chavo,
- 25:09Speaker 1: Hernandez and John and those, yeah and those, and that
- 25:11Speaker 1: crowd was was electric in Scotland like Europe that it's
- 25:14Speaker 1: a different breed of cat over there, you know, and
- 25:17Speaker 1: any like this. This year I had the opportunity to
- 25:20Speaker 1: wrestle at the Forum in LA which is cool because
- 25:23Speaker 1: growing up, you know, a Laker fan and seeing concerts
- 25:26Speaker 1: there really cool for full circle moment for me. Yeah,
- 25:30Speaker 1: so that's always good to play a home game too.
- 25:32Speaker 5: I just was watching a winning time on the way
- 25:34Speaker 5: out here.
- 25:34Speaker 1: Well that's phenomenal.
- 25:36Speaker 5: I got two episodes in I'm hoping trying to figure out.
- 25:40Speaker 1: There's a lot of there's a lot of controversy behind it,
- 25:42Speaker 1: I know, but dude, it's so good.
- 25:44Speaker 3: I love Yeah, I'm jealous of all the guys like
- 25:46Speaker 3: you who wrestled in the Impact Zones at Orlando.
- 25:48Speaker 4: Like I wish I could, like the Universals. I would
- 25:51Speaker 4: love that. If I could just go to work and
- 25:53Speaker 4: go to the Deep Bark.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Bro back in the day, you would have been in heaven.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Because like there was days that I wouldn't uh one
- 25:57Speaker 1: days when I had only had a pre tape or
- 25:59Speaker 1: something or nothing, and I would just go in the
- 26:01Speaker 1: park and either go on rides or sometimes go to
- 26:03Speaker 1: the pub. But uh you know, like uh yeah there's
- 26:06Speaker 1: a pub inside again and again that's it. That's it,
- 26:11Speaker 1: that's it.
- 26:12Speaker 5: He's kicked out of it.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Yeah, we've Yeah, there's some beverages may or may not
- 26:16Speaker 1: have been had on television days, but uh yeah, no, dude. Honestly,
- 26:19Speaker 1: the Impact Zone the first couple of years was another
- 26:22Speaker 1: like just real cool environment, like white hot crowd was
- 26:25Speaker 1: into it.
- 26:26Speaker 5: Just super cool to has the good the good stuff.
- 26:29Speaker 1: It was. It really was man for a couple of years,
- 26:31Speaker 1: you know, but you know, was.
- 26:33Speaker 5: There ever any talking of you getting a Toy Biz
- 26:35Speaker 5: Marvel figure like the original team I was.
- 26:37Speaker 1: I don't think I was on that level at the
- 26:39Speaker 1: point because that was like those were like two thousand
- 26:42Speaker 1: and five, I.
- 26:43Speaker 5: Think two thousand and four or five six.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Okay, so no, so so two thousand and so I
- 26:47Speaker 1: left early two thousand and five for a little bit.
- 26:49Speaker 1: So uh so, yeah, I missed on that. But even
- 26:51Speaker 1: even if I was around, I think like top guys
- 26:55Speaker 1: would like CD has one of those, but like he was,
- 26:57Speaker 1: he was more of a top guy than I was. Yeah,
- 26:59Speaker 1: so those were I again thought that was cool because wow, it's.
- 27:03Speaker 5: Marvel to this day. I think they're very unique. Yeah,
- 27:08Speaker 5: Chris Sullivan again, this second interesting where we're alumni here.
- 27:12Speaker 5: Did End of a Cyber Space help you get into
- 27:14Speaker 5: TNA wrestling?
- 27:15Speaker 1: No oboe? Yeah, yeah, he brought in TNA.
- 27:20Speaker 5: We were talking about that, said you guys one of
- 27:23Speaker 5: the yeah, you guys robably Yeah, Yeah, I.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Had a Those shows were fun though, I mean that
- 27:27Speaker 1: guy paid paid really well. Yeah, but I had a chance.
- 27:31Speaker 1: I worked Chris Candido on one of those, and uh
- 27:34Speaker 1: that was really really cool. He's a buddy of mine
- 27:37Speaker 1: and we just had a fun match, and after the match,
- 27:39Speaker 1: we both had another show in Philly, so we all
- 27:42Speaker 1: got in a car and him Tammy at the time,
- 27:45Speaker 1: Trace my wife, and we drove down and did that show.
- 27:47Speaker 1: It was cool. So, I know, quite the opposite.
- 27:50Speaker 5: Here we go. Justin, Michael, this is an interesting one.
- 27:53Speaker 5: Top three Metallica songs of all time?
- 27:55Speaker 1: Oh God, that's like asking me my favorite breath is
- 27:57Speaker 1: like whatever whatever gets me to the next one.
- 28:00Speaker 5: I mean it's like that that you start.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Okay. Uh So for me, like I'll give deep cuts
- 28:06Speaker 1: like ones because I'm not gonna say like man, I'll
- 28:08Speaker 1: say deep cuts ones that I like. Like a song
- 28:11Speaker 1: called God that Failed on the Black album is one
- 28:14Speaker 1: of my favorites.
- 28:16Speaker 4: Uh.
- 28:16Speaker 1: A song called The Thing That Should Not Be which
- 28:18Speaker 1: is on Master Puppets Something Newer. Uh, Spit out the
- 28:24Speaker 1: Bone is really good. I mean, like I I'm I'm
- 28:27Speaker 1: Atallica defender through and through, so like I like, you know,
- 28:30Speaker 1: I could say all the grades, creep them, death fade,
- 28:32Speaker 1: the Black for them, the belt holes, but yeah, just
- 28:34Speaker 1: they I mean they don't. There were songs most band's
- 28:38Speaker 1: best songs, So in my opinion, you.
- 28:39Speaker 5: Get to listen to one Metallic album Rest of Your Life.
- 28:41Speaker 5: Which one do you think Master Puppets, Master Puppets, Yeah,
- 28:45Speaker 5: uh favorite. Joshua Stapleton's asking favorite songs to cover while performing.
- 28:54Speaker 1: Cover cover songs are interesting. I I like songs that
- 28:57Speaker 1: people that resonate with people. So like, for example, sweet
- 29:01Speaker 1: Child of Mine, the first the first couple of notes,
- 29:03Speaker 1: people are into it. Same with Paradise City, same with
- 29:06Speaker 1: anything Motley Crue like Kickstart My Heart, same with anything
- 29:09Speaker 1: def Leopard.
- 29:10Speaker 4: Uh.
- 29:11Speaker 1: You know, there's some that I brought to the band
- 29:13Speaker 1: that I wanted to cover, like beat It, for example,
- 29:15Speaker 1: I said, let's cover beat It because everybody likes that song.
- 29:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Yeah, So we said, like songs like that beat It,
- 29:21Speaker 1: like uh, just just stuff that you know that's uh.
- 29:24Speaker 5: I get the people going.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I call it. I call it comfort comfort food,
- 29:27Speaker 1: you know. Yeah, So like anything like that, like eighties
- 29:30Speaker 1: nineties rock rab I would like, hell yeah, hell yeah yeah.
- 29:35Speaker 5: That last metalitic question is probably just like which actually
- 29:42Speaker 5: you can cross from out here. We'll all be on
- 29:44Speaker 5: the Joco Cruise, correct, Yes we.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Will, they podcast, that's right.
- 29:48Speaker 4: The band will be there.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, man, Yeah, that'll be cool.
- 29:51Speaker 5: Daniel Blotski's asking. I don't know if we can answer
- 29:53Speaker 5: this in detail, but it's been great singing you back
- 29:55Speaker 5: Impact wrestling on TV. Uh to see your face again.
- 29:59Speaker 5: We were love to know is this excerise, the impact happened,
- 30:02Speaker 5: how this happened, and the working relationship impact and a.
- 30:04Speaker 1: H yeah, I mean it's you know, uh more and
- 30:09Speaker 1: I talked late last year about doing something at Slammiversary
- 30:12Speaker 1: and he uh, you know, he got t K's blessing
- 30:16Speaker 1: and they made the deal and so that that worked
- 30:19Speaker 1: for that and then uh he had contacted me after
- 30:21Speaker 1: Slammiversary and told me about an idea he had and
- 30:25Speaker 1: I liked it and kind of pitched some some other
- 30:27Speaker 1: ideas and uh he uh he said, I'll talk to
- 30:30Speaker 1: TK and uh about a month later he uh contacted
- 30:34Speaker 1: me and he said, hey, we're good for that for these dates.
- 30:37Speaker 1: It was like cool, so like yeah, so, uh so
- 30:40Speaker 1: that business was done just I said, hey, just do
- 30:42Speaker 1: whatever you.
- 30:42Speaker 4: Have to do.
- 30:43Speaker 1: I'm willing. And it's been cool for me, man, because
- 30:46Speaker 1: I've I've I've enjoyed the hell out of my time here.
- 30:49Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah yeah.
- 30:50Speaker 5: And then there's there's all these trades going on. People
- 30:52Speaker 5: don't realize. Yeah, yeah, it's like maybe trying to connect
- 30:56Speaker 5: the dots.
- 30:57Speaker 1: And I'm alone, like you know, like uh aw has
- 30:59Speaker 1: gotten so and then for me it's you know, there's
- 31:01Speaker 1: some backroom deals going on. Yeah.
- 31:03Speaker 3: Yeah, it's fun for wrestlers and for wrestling fans to
- 31:06Speaker 3: witness all this stuff.
- 31:07Speaker 4: It's cool.
- 31:08Speaker 1: No, it's cool. It's it's it's again. It's stuff that
- 31:10Speaker 1: just five years ago didn't happen, you know, it's it's
- 31:14Speaker 1: the landscape so wacky.
- 31:16Speaker 5: Yeah. Uh, Nick Cross is asking I like this question personally,
- 31:19Speaker 5: Do you miss your ponytail?
- 31:22Speaker 1: No? No, man, I like I had a good run
- 31:25Speaker 1: with long hair. Man, I was it was you know,
- 31:27Speaker 1: I was a rock and roll guy and I was
- 31:28Speaker 1: a wrestling fan, so I had to have I had
- 31:30Speaker 1: to grow.
- 31:33Speaker 3: Did you like your hair looked good when it was dry?
- 31:36Speaker 3: Like I had long hair, and I did not look
- 31:38Speaker 3: good dry wet it looked good, So I did not.
- 31:40Speaker 1: Mine. Mine was okay, but like I hated wrestling with
- 31:43Speaker 1: it dry down, So like my hair was always sopping
- 31:47Speaker 1: wet with a tonne of leaving conditioner tied back and
- 31:49Speaker 1: the tightest ponytail ever. So like, uh yeah, so that
- 31:54Speaker 1: that was. That was fine, and I liked I liked
- 31:56Speaker 1: having long hair again because I'm because I'm like, you
- 31:58Speaker 1: can't like heavy metal and not have long hair. You
- 32:00Speaker 1: can't be a wrestler not have.
- 32:01Speaker 5: Long literally like every cool wrestler.
- 32:03Speaker 4: I like, sure, yeah, gotta have long hair.
- 32:04Speaker 5: Was like it was.
- 32:05Speaker 4: Looked so bad with dry long hair.
- 32:08Speaker 3: And then like in my civilian like ponytail, Like it's
- 32:11Speaker 3: not like maybe twenties wearing a pony like meeting some girls,
- 32:14Speaker 3: like why do you have a ponytail?
- 32:16Speaker 1: Yeah, it's but at the time you thought it was cool.
- 32:19Speaker 4: Oh yeah, but like what we thought because it was
- 32:20Speaker 4: acceptable the wrestling culture.
- 32:22Speaker 5: But that would you beat like a civilian? Why michaels
- 32:24Speaker 5: at heart that then?
- 32:25Speaker 1: Man? Yeah, yeah. We talked about this at Kowloon's. But
- 32:28Speaker 1: when I first met you guys, when we were all
- 32:30Speaker 1: at that Wacky signing in LA, when you guys were
- 32:33Speaker 1: it was like a cable. It was like a cable
- 32:34Speaker 1: and it was me and Christy Hemmy were there representing
- 32:37Speaker 1: Impact and you guys are there representing w and we
- 32:41Speaker 1: barely like Cross. But I was like, oh, these guys
- 32:43Speaker 1: are here too, and you guys look tired. And exhausted.
- 32:45Speaker 1: I think you said you had just gotten off the
- 32:46Speaker 1: there back.
- 32:47Speaker 5: When LA do this weird signing shooze people back on
- 32:51Speaker 5: out what we say?
- 32:51Speaker 1: That was like two thousand and seven, eighteen, okay, okay
- 32:54Speaker 1: it was.
- 32:54Speaker 5: And the only reason we even really remember it is
- 32:56Speaker 5: because I got the banner of us and oh kind
- 32:59Speaker 5: of yeah. Mom, it's like the size of this thing.
- 33:01Speaker 4: You have it? Cool? Yeah, I don't have that. It's like,
- 33:06Speaker 4: come meet I'd love to say that.
- 33:09Speaker 1: Don't think that's cool? Man?
- 33:12Speaker 4: What else we got here?
- 33:13Speaker 5: Great questions here? Oh okay, another cross promotion, big thing
- 33:17Speaker 5: we got coming out, all right? The Mike Bouchie retirement
- 33:20Speaker 5: show Man.
- 33:22Speaker 1: Yeah, we're gonna we're gonna be brawling that night, man.
- 33:24Speaker 5: Yeah, like six man tag Yeah players, Pat Bock versus you,
- 33:29Speaker 5: Damian Sandel and the retiring Yeah, Simon Dean supernova, mutual
- 33:34Speaker 5: friend of all of us. Very flattering that he asked us.
- 33:36Speaker 1: All we're supposed to be here today.
- 33:39Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 33:39Speaker 1: I had breakfast with them this morning, so yeah we talk. Yeah,
- 33:42Speaker 1: breakfast with them. We had some cracker barrel this morning with.
- 33:45Speaker 4: Your cracker barrel breakfast. I'd like to know that that's
- 33:47Speaker 4: a real question.
- 33:47Speaker 1: My cracker bell bres.
- 33:48Speaker 5: So you pay for it like Robbie or you just
- 33:50Speaker 5: walking out?
- 33:50Speaker 1: I pay for you. I'm not I'm not an animal.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Come on, I'm not a savage. So my favorite cracker
- 33:55Speaker 1: barrel breakfast and is ordered this way, and it has
- 33:58Speaker 1: to be ordered this way, is a don't go messing
- 34:00Speaker 1: with a country boy breakfast because it's called the country
- 34:03Speaker 1: Boy breakfast. But anytime I'm in a restaurant and me
- 34:06Speaker 1: and the bucks and CD, every time we order it,
- 34:09Speaker 1: you have to order it as the don't go messing with.
- 34:11Speaker 4: A Country Boy breakfast?
- 34:12Speaker 1: Which which is? Which is eggs, steak? I always get
- 34:15Speaker 1: the steak, sour dough, toast, toast, grits, coffee. Yeah, country
- 34:22Speaker 1: Boy breakfast, hands down. Don't go messing with the Country
- 34:24Speaker 1: Boy breakfast. It's dude, it's you won't regret it. You
- 34:27Speaker 1: can also get pork chops if you're not a steak guy,
- 34:29Speaker 1: but the steak is outstanding for.
- 34:31Speaker 4: The price is not bad and the quantity.
- 34:33Speaker 1: You get a ton of food. And there's also cast rolls,
- 34:37Speaker 1: and there's fried apples and there's yeah wow.
- 34:40Speaker 5: So that's December fourth Times, New Jersey, December third third
- 34:45Speaker 5: or fourth is the third third?
- 34:47Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, yeah, big fan fest that day early.
- 34:50Speaker 5: Yeah fans.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Yeah, Stinger, how about that retired Frasier Ye Mawns apparently. Yeah,
- 34:58Speaker 1: but guess who's working on top that night?
- 35:00Speaker 4: Boy?
- 35:00Speaker 5: Oh yeah, worry about it. Uh So Mark Rafflo is
- 35:03Speaker 5: asking any fun stories memories teaming with Nova as the
- 35:06Speaker 5: evolution in Phoenix Championship Wrestling.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Yeah, uh again, you know, Uh, Nova started working for UPW,
- 35:13Speaker 1: which was my home fed at the time in California,
- 35:15Speaker 1: right after ECW closed, and uh this is when Nova
- 35:18Speaker 1: just got shredded, was in great shape and came out
- 35:23Speaker 1: there and uh, him and I had kind of a
- 35:24Speaker 1: similar look at the time, and you know, getting long hair,
- 35:27Speaker 1: you know, so like Rick Bassman put us together and
- 35:30Speaker 1: we just we clicked. We had like instant chemistry, same thing,
- 35:33Speaker 1: and like, you know, he was into the same stuff
- 35:34Speaker 1: I was, you know, immediately became really good friends, and uh,
- 35:38Speaker 1: wrestling chemistry was there. And yeah, and dude, I learned.
- 35:40Speaker 1: I learned so much from him and got to go
- 35:43Speaker 1: to Japan and got to pretty much go got to
- 35:45Speaker 1: go to Trinidad, I got to go all over the
- 35:46Speaker 1: world and started getting booked out and excuse me, on
- 35:49Speaker 1: the East coast a lot more started was able to
- 35:51Speaker 1: make a name for myself. Yeah, him and I we
- 35:54Speaker 1: were just talking about this this morning, like being in
- 35:56Speaker 1: Japan and uh they had a tournament with the wrestlers.
- 36:00Speaker 1: We all got the bowl and one of the young
- 36:02Speaker 1: boys bold of Strike and Otani shoot dd tat him
- 36:05Speaker 1: on the bowling alley floor. Yeah, we saw a grown
- 36:08Speaker 1: man get thrown into a freezing cold lake. Just too
- 36:12Speaker 1: many memories of the list, but yeah, he was. He was
- 36:15Speaker 1: super influential in my career and like literally like really
- 36:18Speaker 1: helped me break out from just a guy that was
- 36:21Speaker 1: a so caw INDI guy.
- 36:22Speaker 5: It was like, you guys had several like w B triouts. Yeah,
- 36:24Speaker 5: I remember someone tell me that, Like they were almost
- 36:27Speaker 5: like baffled how you guys didn't get picked up in
- 36:28Speaker 5: that time.
- 36:28Speaker 1: We we thought, like I I thought that was the
- 36:31Speaker 1: closest I ever had, Like at the time, I was, dude,
- 36:34Speaker 1: we'd fit in perfectly here. We had a match. We
- 36:36Speaker 1: had a dark match the night after a hunter tore
- 36:40Speaker 1: his squad because that was in San Jose and the
- 36:42Speaker 1: match was in Anaheim, and it was like that one
- 36:44Speaker 1: of the impromptu table ladder and chair matches. Yeah, so
- 36:47Speaker 1: the dark match that night was myself and Nova against
- 36:51Speaker 1: Chris Daniels and this guy named suicide Kid Mikey Henderson. Wow,
- 36:54Speaker 1: and uh we tore it up. And I don't know
- 36:58Speaker 1: if this is the case, and I'm not putting myself
- 37:00Speaker 1: over with the match over, but I think it was
- 37:02Speaker 1: a little too good, probably too much. Of course we
- 37:05Speaker 1: did too much. You always do too much. But I
- 37:07Speaker 1: also think it was like, like, who the hell these
- 37:10Speaker 1: guys think they are. It was like it was almost
- 37:11Speaker 1: like maybe someone's threatened. I don't know, probably probably not,
- 37:14Speaker 1: it's probably conspiracy. But I was just like, if this
- 37:18Speaker 1: doesn't get a signed, I don't know what we can do. Ultimately,
- 37:21Speaker 1: he got signed, and you know, staying I went off
- 37:24Speaker 1: and started to doing my own thing and started with
- 37:25Speaker 1: TNA the year later.
- 37:26Speaker 3: So yeah, Nova was like a big when he was
- 37:30Speaker 3: the head of the He wasn't the head of tr
- 37:32Speaker 3: but like the developmental he.
- 37:33Speaker 5: Was he was for that year he took but he
- 37:38Speaker 5: was the head of that position.
- 37:39Speaker 3: Like a funny story, like he always like took care
- 37:41Speaker 3: of us and like when we moved over to OBW,
- 37:44Speaker 3: he was there. It was here obviously here in Louisville,
- 37:46Speaker 3: and we had just like it was a weird situation
- 37:48Speaker 3: with the time, and we just debuted on TV the
- 37:50Speaker 3: night before for the ECW And as soon as we
- 37:52Speaker 3: get to OBW, we get there and he calls us
- 37:54Speaker 3: down in front of like the whole class and I
- 37:57Speaker 3: puts us over and how proud.
- 37:58Speaker 4: He is of us. It gives us a big hug
- 37:59Speaker 4: and silly everyone there hated us.
- 38:01Speaker 5: Oh god, really instantly, no better way to get here, yeah,
- 38:05Speaker 5: like we're already on TV. Yeah thanks, Yeah, he it
- 38:09Speaker 5: was it was just trying to be nice.
- 38:10Speaker 1: But he loves you guys. He's he's a sweetheart man.
- 38:12Speaker 4: Yeah he bet I give him that brother rate for
- 38:15Speaker 4: that bat.
- 38:17Speaker 5: I have been talk anybody else. Yeah, but but yeah,
- 38:22Speaker 5: he like same as you.
- 38:23Speaker 4: Like.
- 38:23Speaker 5: We just instantly hit off, and I think he saw
- 38:25Speaker 5: that like we love the business right away though we
- 38:27Speaker 5: were just like dumb kids, and he really took us
- 38:29Speaker 5: under his wing and like, yeah, honestly he would like
- 38:31Speaker 5: keep us aside after coming down there and show us
- 38:33Speaker 5: cool ship and really like you know, help, Yeah.
- 38:35Speaker 1: Real smart guy and dude, he's you know for people
- 38:37Speaker 1: that don't know. He's super successful in his post wrestling career.
- 38:39Speaker 1: So he's doing great.
- 38:41Speaker 4: And you know Simon System.
- 38:43Speaker 1: Yeah there's that protein powder, old old leftover Ico pro
- 38:47Speaker 1: stuff that he was Yeah.
- 38:49Speaker 4: Goddamn yeah. Anything else?
- 38:54Speaker 5: What is the worst town you've ever been in? Robbie?
- 38:58Speaker 1: So the answer I used to always give his any
- 39:00Speaker 1: town that's not so cal is tied for worst.
- 39:03Speaker 4: Wow, that's a good one.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:05Speaker 5: Roy Lucier is asking tell us about your experiences with
- 39:08Speaker 5: the Kylie Hour Calie Flower Alley Club and why you're
- 39:11Speaker 5: such a huge supporter of that.
- 39:12Speaker 1: Okay, Yeah, that's cool.
- 39:14Speaker 5: So he's always we know, Roy, Yeah, just never. I never.
- 39:18Speaker 5: I don't know what this is.
- 39:18Speaker 1: I never had Cali Flower Alley. Yeah, guy, you guys
- 39:21Speaker 1: being wrestling fan, you guys would dig it.
- 39:23Speaker 4: You would dig it.
- 39:23Speaker 1: You should come. It's a trip to Vegas. There's always that.
- 39:26Speaker 1: So I got involved because uh Killer Kowalsk would always
- 39:30Speaker 1: attend those and he would travel to Vegas, and I
- 39:32Speaker 1: live three hours from Vegas, so when he could travel
- 39:36Speaker 1: out after I had moved back, I would come out
- 39:38Speaker 1: and I would spend the weekend with him and meet him,
- 39:39Speaker 1: and he he introduced me to that and it was
- 39:41Speaker 1: super important to him and he really so I became
- 39:44Speaker 1: a member and this was in the same year, the
- 39:46Speaker 1: same year I moved back, ninety eight ninety nine, and
- 39:49Speaker 1: uh so I started. And early on they gave me
- 39:52Speaker 1: an award. They gave me a what we used to
- 39:55Speaker 1: be called the Future Legend Award, and like you know,
- 39:58Speaker 1: the year before, like Kurt Angle had won it, Chrispin
- 40:00Speaker 1: Want had won and a couple of guys. So I
- 40:02Speaker 1: was like, wow, this is you know, so they really
- 40:04Speaker 1: and that also kind of helped me get my name
- 40:05Speaker 1: out there a little bit. And you know, they're they're
- 40:08Speaker 1: a nonprofit organization and they do really good work for
- 40:13Speaker 1: some of the boys that have fallen on hard times,
- 40:15Speaker 1: like a lot of guys that older guys, guys that
- 40:18Speaker 1: like you know, weren't top guys, but guys that you know,
- 40:22Speaker 1: we're in the business, put in their time and you know,
- 40:24Speaker 1: falling on hard times financially or are suffering and need
- 40:28Speaker 1: help medically with their medical bills and all that. Califly
- 40:31Speaker 1: Alley is always there to cut a check, asking for nothing.
- 40:33Speaker 1: They're not trying to get recognition for it. They're very, very,
- 40:36Speaker 1: very good and very charitable in that aspect. And it's
- 40:40Speaker 1: all off of member donations and membership fees and all that,
- 40:43Speaker 1: and it's a really cool organization. I wish more people
- 40:45Speaker 1: knew about it. But you guys, you.
- 40:46Speaker 4: Guys, well, if they give me an award, all sign out.
- 40:49Speaker 1: Jesus Christ. You're an animal.
- 40:52Speaker 4: This guy.
- 40:55Speaker 5: You don't have any tweets and posts something about the
- 41:00Speaker 5: one the one.
- 41:01Speaker 1: Earnest moment in this podcast, and you had to ruin it.
- 41:04Speaker 1: My god, good lord.
- 41:07Speaker 5: Oh all right, sure, and this one we half alluded to.
- 41:11Speaker 5: You know, this is Aaron said, describe the dream figure
- 41:14Speaker 5: of yourself.
- 41:15Speaker 4: It's a great want to go out.
- 41:16Speaker 5: Of toy company because I mean, you wear a long,
- 41:19Speaker 5: tight hair, beautiful hair. Now we can improve from this
- 41:22Speaker 5: this current aw Yeah.
- 41:23Speaker 1: I think so. Like I would like a current version
- 41:26Speaker 1: of what I look like now because I've looked like
- 41:27Speaker 1: this for a while. Yeah, much tanner, much leaner, less body, fat, handsome, bulge,
- 41:33Speaker 1: could be bigger, you know all that. Yeah, I'd like that.
- 41:36Speaker 4: I would like.
- 41:36Speaker 1: I think a cool buddy of mine that does customs,
- 41:40Speaker 1: he has sent me a couple early like tena gear
- 41:43Speaker 1: like Neon green shorts and like long white neon green
- 41:46Speaker 1: pants and those look really cool. I think if a
- 41:48Speaker 1: company to vary.
- 41:50Speaker 4: W has that luminaries line, like they can make you
- 41:52Speaker 4: like an old school.
- 41:53Speaker 1: Yeah see that think that would be totally that would
- 41:55Speaker 1: that would be cool like that and like a current
- 41:57Speaker 1: because like that's that's as current as it gets. But
- 42:00Speaker 1: something a little bit updated i'd be happy with. Are
- 42:01Speaker 1: we going to talk about the conversation we had when
- 42:03Speaker 1: we were talking about having to hide our action figures
- 42:06Speaker 1: from girlfriends and friends, and yeah, we've had this conversation
- 42:11Speaker 1: in private. Like I remember specifically having action figures and
- 42:15Speaker 1: being in tenth grade and playing playing junior varsity football
- 42:21Speaker 1: and would have friends that came over that didn't know
- 42:24Speaker 1: I was into wrestling and didn't know I had action figures.
- 42:27Speaker 1: So I had to take my ring and all of
- 42:29Speaker 1: them put them in the back corner of my of
- 42:32Speaker 1: my closet. One time a girl came over and was
- 42:35Speaker 1: in my room and my closet was peaked out and
- 42:37Speaker 1: there's half my action figures and stuff. Had to like
- 42:41Speaker 1: go like yeah, so like, yeah.
- 42:43Speaker 3: Well I was in college and you know I bring
- 42:46Speaker 3: girl first of I was living with my parents. Yeah,
- 42:48Speaker 3: I bring girls back to my room. Look like a
- 42:49Speaker 3: normal room, but you open those sliding doors, We're all
- 42:51Speaker 3: on display on shelves.
- 42:55Speaker 5: I'd say, like, even like a year into my training,
- 42:57Speaker 5: I was still kind of playing them. But I try
- 42:58Speaker 5: to justify that I was figuring figured it out moves.
- 43:00Speaker 5: Yeah on spots man, I swear, Oh no, yeah, there
- 43:03Speaker 5: was like so and so just happened to go over
- 43:04Speaker 5: for the bell.
- 43:05Speaker 1: Yeah, oh no that I would have guys that I
- 43:07Speaker 1: played footba would come over and if they would have
- 43:08Speaker 1: seen those, it would have been over for me.
- 43:11Speaker 5: Actually, you got toys and this guy this story when
- 43:14Speaker 5: we were in dinner. But I remember one time. I
- 43:16Speaker 5: can have just came home after school and I had
- 43:17Speaker 5: like a ninety minute period before baseball practice, and my
- 43:19Speaker 5: buddy was coming to get me for practice. But I
- 43:21Speaker 5: was I really want to get this match in, but
- 43:22Speaker 5: I was so tired from school, and I had them
- 43:24Speaker 5: out of my bed and I leaned back and passed out,
- 43:26Speaker 5: and I woke up to my buddy standing on me
- 43:28Speaker 5: in my bed with the clearest day tag team batcher
- 43:30Speaker 5: the bill my cross basically at the ring, and I
- 43:32Speaker 5: was like mortifying, Oh God, God, damn. I was in
- 43:35Speaker 5: tenth or eleventh grade, it was oh man going like
- 43:37Speaker 5: varsity baseball practice.
- 43:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I would go to Toys r Us and ask
- 43:41Speaker 3: for a gift receipt because I was embarrassed that I
- 43:43Speaker 3: had to want the clerk.
- 43:44Speaker 4: You know what they did. They were for me, But
- 43:47Speaker 4: now I don't give a ship at all.
- 43:48Speaker 1: I remember, Yeah, that's why guys.
- 43:50Speaker 5: You guys made a cool which I was one of
- 43:52Speaker 5: my most proud things of this whole show.
- 43:54Speaker 1: Yeah. I remember being in Toys r Us with my dad,
- 43:56Speaker 1: and my dad was always super supportive of everything till
- 43:59Speaker 1: till his last days, and but we were in toys
- 44:01Speaker 1: there as we both used also collect I'm sorry when
- 44:03Speaker 1: you asked about collecting out. Starting lineups was the big
- 44:05Speaker 1: thing for me and my dad collected. I saw that
- 44:07Speaker 1: and I saw that, Yeah, the delivery, yeah, I saw it.
- 44:11Speaker 1: So starting lineups we had like baseball and football specifically
- 44:13Speaker 1: at all those but anyways, we were looking at starting
- 44:15Speaker 1: lineups because that was acceptable. But then I saw the
- 44:17Speaker 1: new Hasbro Ultimate oyer, the one in the white, and
- 44:21Speaker 1: I was like, Dad, can I get this? And he
- 44:23Speaker 1: looked at me like you still play with those things?
- 44:25Speaker 1: But he didn't say that. Yeah, he just goes okay,
- 44:28Speaker 1: But I was like, oh, he doesn't like me playing
- 44:31Speaker 1: these things anymore. But he never said he never said
- 44:33Speaker 1: a word. I don't even know what he thought that, but.
- 44:36Speaker 5: That's just what I was like, Oh okay, but anyways,
- 44:37Speaker 5: I got that I was playing with all right, real,
- 44:39Speaker 5: last question, what do you collect? Like now, like currently
- 44:42Speaker 5: do you have you have your stuck your own stuff?
- 44:44Speaker 1: Yeah, so like anything important to me. I had, like gear,
- 44:48Speaker 1: and like I have all my title belts that I've
- 44:52Speaker 1: been all the Problem all the A w ones, the
- 44:54Speaker 1: Impact ones, I have all those. Uh but yeah, like
- 44:59Speaker 1: the reason I don't necessarily collect stuff is because I'm
- 45:02Speaker 1: obsessive and I wouldn't be able to yees so other
- 45:05Speaker 1: than like bass guitars and instruments and stuff like that. Yeah, exactly,
- 45:08Speaker 1: and that's and that's an expensive hobby.
- 45:11Speaker 4: But uh no.
- 45:12Speaker 1: The last so when the last Action figures I collected
- 45:16Speaker 1: was when right before the Phantom Menace came out, I
- 45:19Speaker 1: started buying up all the Star Wars and I had
- 45:22Speaker 1: all of those in the package, and the first couple
- 45:24Speaker 1: of runs of the Jacks Toys figures, and I had
- 45:28Speaker 1: all those and kept him in the package and then
- 45:31Speaker 1: eventually just got rid of those. But yeah, that's after that.
- 45:33Speaker 1: I just I don't because I would, I would get
- 45:35Speaker 1: obsessed about it and.
- 45:38Speaker 5: Stuff.
- 45:38Speaker 1: I have all my own stuff. Yeah, I have anything
- 45:40Speaker 1: that was like you know, like T shirts anything, T shirts.
- 45:43Speaker 4: What's that tray?
- 45:44Speaker 1: You have all the trading cards of the stuff from
- 45:45Speaker 1: Upper Deck, the stuff from the first TNA ones, the
- 45:48Speaker 1: first First Impact ones, the first a W ones. I
- 45:51Speaker 1: have pretty much all of those.
- 45:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 45:55Speaker 1: I have anything that's like like King of the Indies,
- 45:58Speaker 1: like those big tournament back in the day and the
- 46:00Speaker 1: Super eight tournament. I still have like the T shirts
- 46:02Speaker 1: and the metals, like any it's important to me. It's
- 46:04Speaker 1: not important to anyone else.
- 46:05Speaker 5: But stuff that I like, what we do is so special.
- 46:08Speaker 5: There's no reason you shouldn't be proud.
- 46:10Speaker 1: Of, right exactly. Yeah, you know. And that's that's all
- 46:12Speaker 1: stuff that when I redo my office next year, I
- 46:14Speaker 1: want to display, like like title belts for example, that's
- 46:16Speaker 1: cool art for people to come over like it's just
- 46:18Speaker 1: you know, it's not just it's and it's different. It's
- 46:20Speaker 1: a conversation piece.
- 46:21Speaker 4: You know.
- 46:22Speaker 3: People don't have fucking tyler be No, they don't want
- 46:24Speaker 3: to be proud of it, bust my ball sometimes. But
- 46:27Speaker 3: like it's not like you're walking into my living room
- 46:29Speaker 3: they're hanging there, but in my office they're all.
- 46:30Speaker 5: You know, it's I like to in the middle. That's all,
- 46:33Speaker 5: you know. I mean, I don't want to not acknowledge it,
- 46:35Speaker 5: but I don't want to have a shrine to myself either, right, like.
- 46:37Speaker 1: Something I did that for years too. I was on
- 46:40Speaker 1: the fence about to be our mutual friend Jay Christian.
- 46:43Speaker 1: I was friends with him and being at his house
- 46:45Speaker 1: in Tampa, in his old house, he had all this,
- 46:48Speaker 1: The way he had his belts displayed was was really cool,
- 46:51Speaker 1: and I was like, man, I wanted that's what I
- 46:52Speaker 1: want to do.
- 46:53Speaker 5: I can't imagine what Jay.
- 46:54Speaker 3: I mean, we worked our whole lives for this, Like fuck,
- 46:56Speaker 3: like we deserve to show it up if we had
- 46:58Speaker 3: any success, Like fuck, we we deserve to be proud
- 47:01Speaker 3: of it. Showed out anyone who thinks it's you know,
- 47:03Speaker 3: being a mark, fuck it that I'm a bar.
- 47:07Speaker 1: We're awesome and fun, the rest of them.
- 47:09Speaker 5: It's awesome. Yeah, man, cool work your ass off, man,
- 47:12Speaker 5: Thank you, thank you, cool man.
- 47:15Speaker 1: You guys are awesome.
- 47:15Speaker 4: Man.

- 47:17Speaker 4: I appreciate you know, the tan competition we have.
- 47:19Speaker 3: You know, we haven't really I'm talking about it publicly,
