- 0:01We live our whole lives seeking the answer to that question,
- 0:06why am I here?
- 0:08And the reason why we seek it is because we know there's a reason.
- 0:26Hello and welcome to Remember Why You Are Here,
- 0:30a podcast for seekers and sensitives where you can relax, receive,
- 0:34reconnect yourself and remember the most important thing of all:
- 0:39why you are here. I am Asia Suler, author, teacher,
- 0:44earth intuitive,
- 0:45and this is the very first episode of my brand new
- 0:49podcast. I am so excited to be here with you.
- 0:52I have been thinking for a long time about starting a podcast.
- 0:57And for probably just as long I was trying to figure out what I wanted to call
- 1:02this podcast.
- 1:02I knew that this was the next iteration of how I wanted to share here,
- 1:09but for a long time I was sort of stuck on the title.
- 1:12What do I want to call this new offering, this new piece in the world?
- 1:17And I wanted to share a little bit in this inaugural episode,
- 1:20now that this podcast is finally coming to fruition, which I'm so excited about,
- 1:25I wanted to share a little bit about why I chose this name.
- 1:29Remember Why You Are Here. Now I have for the last 13 years of my life,
- 1:34had a folder on the desktop of my computer called Remember Why You Are
- 1:39Here. And over the years, anytime I've gotten a message,
- 1:44an email, anything that has helped me to remember this,
- 1:48I put it in that folder.
- 1:49So if you've ever written me an email of love and support,
- 1:52it's possible that your email is probably in "Remember Why You Are Here".
- 1:57And it's a folder that I look at when I need to remember,
- 2:01when I need to reconnect to this understanding.
- 2:05And I think it's something that as sensitives and seekers,
- 2:10we deeply need, we need to be reminded of why we are here.
- 2:14Because the going gets tough sometimes and life on earth is not always easy.
- 2:19And so this motion of remembering why you are here is incredibly important.
- 2:25So at the end of September, a massive,
- 2:27completely unprecedented hurricane swept through our mountains causing
- 2:32a thousand year flood. And in the aftermath of that,
- 2:37among many other things, our town of Marshall,
- 2:41North Carolina was completely destroyed. And my apothecary.
- 2:45So I had an apothecary on an island in the middle of the river in Marshall
- 2:50called One Willow Apothecaries.
- 2:53It was a really big pivotal moment and time in my
- 2:57life.
- 2:58I'm still finding words to express just how powerful that entire
- 3:03experience was. That October,
- 3:07it was my plan to work on this podcast, to bring this podcast into fruition.
- 3:12And instead,
- 3:13I was dealing with all the things that come with living through a really massive
- 3:17natural disaster.
- 3:20But one night I was laying in bed late at night and
- 3:25was just sort of letting my mind drift.
- 3:27And I just heard this voice come in and said,
- 3:29what about Remember Why You're Here for the podcast name?
- 3:33And at first I thought, no, I don't know. It's kind of on the nose.
- 3:38It's very direct. But the voice was insistent. Remember why you are here.
- 3:42I'm like, am I worthy of having a podcast called Remember Why You Are here?
- 3:48But it wouldn't go away.
- 3:49And so I sat with it for some days and I realized over those days, as these
- 3:55omens of support came in and these moments where I was living through
- 4:00such a incredible soul trial,
- 4:04this trial that was redirecting me back to this remembrance,
- 4:07I realized that there's this level in which Remember Why You Are Here
- 4:12is the perfect name for this podcast.
- 4:16I have always been really passionate about this,
- 4:20about helping people remember why they're here and specifically
- 4:25helping other sensitives and seekers remember why they're here.
- 4:29I think this is a very human question.
- 4:32It's one that we have asked ourselves throughout all of time.
- 4:36It might even be the defining question of humanity.
- 4:41One of the things that makes humanity unique is we even ask this question at
- 4:45all. Why am I here?
- 4:47And not only do we ask it like we seek it, we yearn for it.
- 4:51We long for its answer.
- 4:53We live our whole lives seeking the answer to that question,
- 4:58why am I here?
- 5:00And the reason why we seek it is because we know there's a reason.
- 5:04We know there's a reason. And this is what drives us, right?
- 5:08This inner feeling, this inner understanding,
- 5:11and knowing that there is a reason why we're here and that we want to
- 5:15know it. We want to experience it, and we want to live into it.
- 5:20We know that we're here for a reason.
- 5:24And it's one of those things that really keeps us going,
- 5:26especially as sensitive hearted people that were here on this earth at this time
- 5:31for a reason.
- 5:33And one thing I have found in my own life and in the lives of the thousands of
- 5:36people that I've guided so far is that hardship itself
- 5:41is a passageway into remembering why we're here.
- 5:46And this just came alive for me in such a specific crystal clear
- 5:50way when I lived through the hurricane.
- 5:53In this time of great upheaval,
- 5:57I was able to see and remember it. It just got so clear in that moment,
- 6:01why am I here? And I think this question,
- 6:05it's not leading us to one answer, right?
- 6:08This question is leading us into the multifaceted
- 6:13reality of who we are,
- 6:15the presence of ourselves as multifaceted beings.
- 6:19Asking this question is what brings us in contact with this
- 6:24multifarious self,
- 6:26all the different sides of our beings that are here to be expressed,
- 6:30understood, and explored,
- 6:32and work together in this synergy in conjunction to bring forth
- 6:37the gifts that we were meant to deliver into this world.
- 6:41Because make no mistake about it, you are here to bring a gift to this planet.
- 6:46You are part of the earth's greater dreaming.
- 6:49You came into being for a reason,
- 6:51and there is a reason why you are here.
- 6:55And this podcast and all the roads we'll go down together was designed to help
- 7:00you remember that, to help you reconnect to that.
- 7:04I've always loved the word remember because it's such a somatic,
- 7:08tactile word.
- 7:09Re-member literally to put something back together like making
- 7:14whole once again is to re-member something.
- 7:18And so this is what we do in our life as we move down our journey is we're
- 7:22picking up these pieces. And as we pick up each piece,
- 7:25we can remember we can become whole again.
- 7:29We integrate and illuminate once more
- 7:35the central core tenant of our mission.
- 7:37Like that thing at the heart of us that we know we came into this world knowing
- 7:41and that now we're simply remembering by becoming whole once more.
- 7:47And this is the journey.
- 7:48This is the journey of being an individual on this planet, of being a human,
- 7:52of being a sensitive is realizing that through our own journey of
- 7:57recognizing our wholeness, of starting to come to understand,
- 8:02accept ourselves, have compassion for ourselves, integrate who we are,
- 8:07celebrate who we are, that it's through finding that wholeness,
- 8:10that we understand our mission again, that we glimpse it,
- 8:14that we can have it be a guiding light that brings us forward.
- 8:19Because when we can remember why we're here, everything gets easier.
- 8:25Even if we don't know what the next step is in our life,
- 8:28even if we're not sure what that even looks like or what the future
- 8:33holds,
- 8:34having a embodied remembrance of why we're here.
- 8:39And again,
- 8:40I'm not speaking of necessarily having this intellectual understanding,
- 8:44although I welcome that and I love it when it comes for my own self.
- 8:48But this embodied remembering of why you're here,
- 8:52it's like that fizzy and enlivening
- 8:57integrated sort of champagne like feeling when you just have this sense,
- 9:01this awareness of like, yes, this is why I'm here.
- 9:05It's that energy, it's that moment of revelation.
- 9:09It's our life is made up of these series of revelations, right?
- 9:13It's that moment of revelation that helps you move
- 9:17onwards, that helps you take that next step.
- 9:20It's like when we have this seed awareness within
- 9:24ourselves of why we're here, it all gets so clear.
- 9:28And the stuff that you're not meant for,
- 9:31the stuff that doesn't deserve your attention,
- 9:35the stuff you're ready to let go of, that also gets really clear too.
- 9:38And I think we're at a moment in time right now where we're really being asked
- 9:42to get clear in that way,
- 9:44where we're being asked to prioritize
- 9:49our mission, the reason why we came into this earth,
- 9:53why we came into this being. We're being asked to remember why we are here.
- 9:59And that journey of remembering can be truly delightful.
- 10:03So this is the start.
- 10:04This is the start of this journey of Remember Why You Are Here,
- 10:08this podcast with me, Asia Suler,
- 10:11and I'm just so delighted that you're here.
- 10:13There's so much more I'm excited about sharing with you. But until next time,
- 10:18take care.
- 10:19Be gentle with yourself and whenever you can remember why you are here.
