  And this week we're going to talk about the Order of Ether on

  my favorite faction. Couple of weeks ago we talked

  about their opposites, the congregation of Necrominus.

  So we have to balance things out here with the order be thrown.

  So we're going to go through all the different characters there
• 0:43
  and look at a bit at their lore. And you know, you know the gig

  if you've seen the Necronominus ones going to be same.

  Well, they're even insulated, aren't they, to keep the heat

  here that we don't have AC like as a kind of standard thing

  people, people do have it, you know, and you can get a lot of

  people have these mobile AC units, but we have the window

  shutter. So the metal shutters that you

  can put every single house has them as standard and you can

  just put them all down and like they are upstairs houses

  basically in pitch black for the the upstairs or else for the

  last couple of days because the sun has been shining in.

  So you don't want to get any that's nasty heat during the

  But it after if you get a good solid week of it, you kind of

  So a couple of things to get through before we get into ether

  on an intern for a day. That went up between our last

  So I want to keep it as simple as possible for myself.

  Right, order of ether on. So the order is an organization
• 10:13
  steeped in religious tradition. So and I am, I mean, I've said

  in the podcast before, I'm not a, it's not my favorite faction

  or wise love the figures though. So that's a different thing.

  I'm not a maybe I am steeped in the religious tradition in that
• 10:29
  I was forced to go to the church until I was left home 18,

  whatever it was. So that's put me off a bit.

  And it was formed to combat the Congregation of Necronominus and
• 10:42
  the unholy forces under its command.
• 10:45
  So, and obviously that's all the skeletons.

  And thanks to the guidance of Sir Gideon Heavens Brand, the
• 10:52
  Order is in the process of emerging from a long period
• 10:56
  marred by scandal and corruption, which we'll find a
• 10:59
  little bit about. And it involves some greedy men.

  Before we start, can I just say how disappointed am I myself?

  I rushed my little tagline so it says feeling nightly or feeling

  nighty, and I thought about it. I'd have done feeling Keira and

  Right? Eons ago in ancient mythos, 4

  In their absence, the four great armies of modern mythos formed

  to honour their memory and to carry their noble cause forward

  to this very day. So we get a lot of the, we get a

  lot of the hits there straight away, Heaven's brand sword,

  obviously, and I'm a bit fascinated by they faded from

  sight soon after the triumph. So that that really gives that

  that leaves something to be explained.

  people would want both of them, then the certain certain subset

  has only strengthened his resolve and given him a courage

  to defeat the dark armies of Mythos.

  disgraced order struck many buys rise and fans have long wondered

  misplaced their faith not in the great beasts who's for example

  they endeavoured to follow, but in the advisers and generals

  they trusted to help them in their holy in that holy mission.

  The most stunning example of the fall of the order of Etheron
• 17:20
  came during the time of Sir Gabriel.

  Heavens brand, a deeply religious and good man Sir

  Gabriel. I'm guessing it's Gabriel, isn't

  it? Sought to reform the order and
• 17:31
  return it to it day. It's days of glory and honour.

  He maybe have succeeded in this mission had he not taken I'll
• 17:38
  with a mysterious affliction that robbed the Orders leader of
• 17:41
  his health and his senses during what should have been a
• 17:44
  formative years of his rule. With Sir Gabriel indisposed, the
• 17:49
  greedy members of the Order saw a chance to solidify their power
• 17:52
  once and for all. A key moment in in their rise
• 17:56
  came when agents from the Congregation Necronominus
• 17:59
  desecrated the Temple of Ethron, believed to be the final resting
• 18:03
  place of the Crowned Eagle. This attack exposed the Temple
• 18:07
  as being empty and it gave the new leaders of the Order the
• 18:10
  excuse they needed to span the Templars who guarded that one's
• 18:13
  sacred place. These power hungry men and women
• 18:17
  knew that this ancient sect of the Order posed a real threat to
• 18:21
  their plans, so they jumped upon this excuse to disgrace and
• 18:25
  remove them. This sad state of affairs
• 18:28
  continued while Sir Gabriel, Gabriel, Heaven's Brand,
• 18:31
  remained on his sick bed, a leader in name only.

  It would be some time before Sir Gabriel's son Gideon would lead
• 18:37
  the Order of Ethron out from under the dark cloud of avarice
• 18:41
  and away from the fair, faithless individuals who
• 18:44
  perpetrated it. The light always returns,
• 18:48
  however, for even after the darkest of nights, the morning
• 18:51
  sun rises, ushering in a new day.

  Yeah, so that's that's a very interesting bit of lore and it

  reminds me a bit of Lord of the Rings that Roe hunting.

  The king there, doesn't it, where he's he's kind of poisoned

  with the the relic guards. They kind of get a mention

  they're guarding the Temple of Ether on.

  Sorry, the dark days of the Order of Ether and now in the

  past thanks to the leadership of Sir Gideon Heaven's brand, a

  selfless man whose conviction and faith are in wavering.

  It is an example that is needed as the darkness of Necronominus
• 19:56
  returns and death itself well walks again when once again in
• 20:00
  mythos. Sir Gideon's faith shall be

  tested, yet it shall not break, even as the dead rise from the
• 20:06
  graves and stand against him on the field of battle, leading an
• 20:10
  army of Knights, Templars, Mystics, and paladins.

  Sir Gideon and the Order of Ethron March to meet the horrors

  of the Congregation, bringing the purifying light of the
• 20:21
  Crowned Eagle with them. Yeah.

  So who were the Mystics? That was that was the question I

  had there. So Templar's Mystics, Knights,
• 20:33
  paladins? Are the Mystics the glad you're
• 20:40
  Ellen and Segnatious? No, it'd be more the paladins.

  Probably not, no. I think it's it's class we've
• 20:46
  not had yet, isn't it? But it sounds.

  seen, you know, yeah, not cool with some of the new stuff.

  So yeah, that would work well for that.

  And what about Sir Gabriel? Do we need him?

  It'd be kind of cool, but I don't know if we do, do we?

  Yeah, I think it'll be if he does pop up in the story again

  and or does if there's a couple of stories to do with him that

  are a bit more maybe heroic or whatever, might be cool to get

  And we have a bio for Bishop as well, the horse, Gideon's horse,

  which which kind of just, it's just a bio to show how great

  Gideon is, I think. But it's a good one.

  Right the mighty steed known as Bishop was born lame in the
• 22:16
  stables of the Heavens Brand family set to be put out of in
• 22:20
  misery. A young Gideon pleaded that the
• 22:22
  foe will be given a chance. The stablemaster boy.

  The stable master told the boy he could pray that night, but
• 22:29
  come morning the horse would need to be put down.
• 22:33
  Gideon stayed by the white horse's side that evening with
• 22:38
  praying continually until sleep overtook him.

  When he awoke, the horse was miraculously cured, and it was
• 22:46
  deemed that the healing touch of ether on himself could have seen
• 22:49
