- 1:19Speaker 2: for Sea Bass and the cart Narks. It is narc
- 1:23Speaker 2: week here on the Woody Show. How much justice to
- 1:25Speaker 2: be dispensed? I know, and no shortage of people to
- 1:28Speaker 2: try to dispense it too. Sadly they keep on multiplying,
- 1:31Speaker 2: although I do hear more and more people, even relatives
- 1:34Speaker 2: who I have had no idea ever listened to one
- 1:37Speaker 2: bit of this show, and they were really warm, like
- 1:39Speaker 2: like uncles that I barely speak to. Or don't get
- 1:42Speaker 2: to see except for like, you know, special occasions.
- 1:44Speaker 5: And they don't want to run into the cartnars.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Yeah, they'll tell me like, dude, you've got me putting
- 1:48Speaker 2: carts back after listening to the show and cart narks
- 1:52Speaker 2: like looking over their shoulders.
- 1:53Speaker 6: I knew twenty years ago. Who No, I'm not in
- 1:55Speaker 6: town right now. Still tell me I'm scared?
- 1:58Speaker 7: Ye yeah, wow.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Yeah, they were lazy losers. They never thought about it.
- 2:04Speaker 2: It wasn't it just wasn't a conscious thing. It was
- 2:06Speaker 2: just kind of like this mindless But now they're mindful.
- 2:09Speaker 7: Like if you don't think about it, well think about it,
- 2:11Speaker 7: which is.
- 2:11Speaker 2: The whole point. And now they are, so it has
- 2:14Speaker 2: been a successful campaign. Think about it, exactly about it.
- 2:19Speaker 5: That's why he made that song.
- 2:20Speaker 2: July twenty nine, today is International Tiger Day. Okay, dude,
- 2:24Speaker 2: I did see one of those big Cat videos where
- 2:27Speaker 2: this guy, I guess he had rescued this this lion.
- 2:31Speaker 2: It was a lion when it was a cub and
- 2:35Speaker 2: this lion who's now full grown a doll. This this
- 2:37Speaker 2: is a big bitch. She's huge and he was like
- 2:41Speaker 2: walked into the enclosure and she freaked out. Like was
- 2:44Speaker 2: like kind of whining and crying like it was the
- 2:47Speaker 2: coolest thing, like happy, yeah, yeah, yeah. Guy put put
- 2:52Speaker 2: two paws up on this guy's shoulders and then put
- 2:55Speaker 2: her head down like it it was like to show
- 3:00Speaker 2: you this video, I'm like, dude, I would have crapped
- 3:02Speaker 2: my pants even though those things, because man, when this
- 3:05Speaker 2: thing stands up, you're like you really you really kind
- 3:07Speaker 2: of get an idea of just how big this thing
- 3:09Speaker 2: need to.
- 3:10Speaker 8: Be pretty confident in the like, hey remember.
- 3:11Speaker 9: Me, I.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Hope you remember.
- 3:15Speaker 6: Yeah, just some old footage of the Bengals games. I
- 3:18Speaker 6: know your family do, and uh they were showing these
- 3:20Speaker 6: just have live tigers chain.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll tell you. It's a National lipstick Day. Let's
- 3:29Speaker 2: gett gnarly Day. A couple of food holidays. It's National
- 3:33Speaker 2: Lasagna Day, Yeah, lasagna, and then today's National Chicken Wing Day,
- 3:39Speaker 2: which which I'm all about celebrate both.
- 3:45Speaker 5: Speaking of food, do you guys this is a weird question,
- 3:47Speaker 5: but in my world that's the case. Do you think
- 3:50Speaker 5: of restaurant owners as celebrities in a weird way?
- 3:53Speaker 2: Here goes another Greggry random thought.
- 3:55Speaker 5: Here we go.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Okay, so there's a little board everybody.
- 3:57Speaker 5: There's an Italian restaurant that I like right near my
- 3:59Speaker 5: play and the owner is this old lady. She's got
- 4:02Speaker 5: to be like eighty, and she's inadvertently hilarious, like she'll
- 4:06Speaker 5: seat you at your table and then she'll say, we
- 4:08Speaker 5: have some really good specials tonight. I don't know what
- 4:11Speaker 5: they are, but they're good. And then the other time
- 4:14Speaker 5: we were there, she walked by and held out this
- 4:16Speaker 5: tray of like garlic bread with this marinera dipping sauce,
- 4:20Speaker 5: and I thought, oh, she's gonna give us a spread.
- 4:22Speaker 5: And she puts it down on our table and says,
- 4:25Speaker 5: you guys should order this. It's really good. And then
- 4:27Speaker 5: she brought to another table. So she's totally funny without
- 4:31Speaker 5: trying to be. And then I saw her at the
- 4:34Speaker 5: store and I'm like, oh, that's the Italian restaurant owner.
- 4:39Speaker 5: It's almost like, you know, restaurant owners are celebrities.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Did you say something to your No.
- 4:45Speaker 5: I didn't. I wanted to, but you've.
- 4:47Speaker 8: Never had that, like if you go to the restaurant
- 4:49Speaker 8: and like it's the waitress whatever, but you see the
- 4:52Speaker 8: owner even in the restaurant's like.
- 4:53Speaker 5: He's here, right, And then they walk around in Shampans.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Yeah, there's the owner.
- 4:57Speaker 7: I like that.
- 4:57Speaker 2: I think if there was a place called Gregg's super
- 5:00Speaker 2: well known in town, like everybody, like you go to
- 5:02Speaker 2: Greg's Barbecue and Greg is there, that lends itself more
- 5:06Speaker 2: to But if it's just like whatever it's called, and
- 5:09Speaker 2: the person happens to own it, you could even you
- 5:11Speaker 2: can't you can't name them, yeah, you know, other than
- 5:16Speaker 2: knowing that they're the owner, or they're the the face
- 5:18Speaker 2: you know, you get those those really great local TV commercials,
- 5:22Speaker 2: or it's the owner of the businesses doing their own
- 5:24Speaker 2: TV commercial first celebrities.
- 5:26Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean, there's one restaurant owner that I follow
- 5:29Speaker 10: on Instagram. His name is Andy Newin and he's the
- 5:33Speaker 10: one that opened that Sonic Cafe in Saint Louis.
- 5:36Speaker 2: He also opened the.
- 5:37Speaker 10: Ninja Turtle One and Santa Monica, and he opens trill
- 5:41Speaker 10: Burgers all over and amongst amongst other restaurant people.
- 5:46Speaker 2: He's like famous. Do we know a famous restaurant owner
- 5:48Speaker 2: named Mike Kathlin. Oh, yeah, like the show Killer. He's
- 5:52Speaker 2: a huge. Yeah, he's owner of the Sunshine Grill Cafe.
- 5:58Speaker 2: He's still Edison, New Jersey's still has, yes, really good food.
- 6:02Speaker 2: The food is legit. He has running it for him
- 6:04Speaker 2: because he's wildly incompetent. He does have a really good guy.
- 6:07Speaker 2: He's got a really good guy in the kitchen.
- 6:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Yeah, and he's very friendly, like when people come in
- 6:12Speaker 2: and stuff. Like again, we've always said, like Mike was
- 6:14Speaker 2: a great guy to just hang out with. Nice, nice guy. Yeah,
- 6:18Speaker 2: I wouldn't want him programming my restaurant. And Mike, if
- 6:23Speaker 2: you're listening, we love you.
- 6:24Speaker 5: And then on the opposite end of that spectrum, almost
- 6:27Speaker 5: people are kind of famous too because where I grew up,
- 6:31Speaker 5: everyone's like, oh, did you see that guy who you know,
- 6:33Speaker 5: the guy who rides that ten speed and.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Everybody knows, Wow, everybody knows there's that weird ass. Have
- 6:41Speaker 2: you ever seen the weird ass woman that uh, well,
- 6:44Speaker 2: young lady who is in our area. She looks like
- 6:48Speaker 2: she looks like from Pirates of the Caribbean, Jack Sparrow,
- 6:54Speaker 2: dude off off to find.
- 6:57Speaker 10: There was this one guy in our town. We called
- 7:00Speaker 10: him no Shirt because he would walk the entire town
- 7:03Speaker 10: with no shirt on and uh he like, I don't know,
- 7:09Speaker 10: he was a homeless, but he got in a motorcycle accident.
- 7:12Speaker 10: So he talked kind of slow, but.
- 7:18Speaker 2: You're talking about how weird he talks about he had
- 7:19Speaker 2: an excellent an excellent accent. I got my bizzel line
- 7:23Speaker 2: and I'm it was just funny, like under in the context. Yeah, yeah,
- 7:29Speaker 2: he talks all funny. That was pretty funny. We had shuffles,
- 7:32Speaker 2: the dumping bump. It was outside of our radio station.
- 7:36Speaker 5: He would lean against walls and poop.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Yeah, so he was knowing that and he would shuffle
- 7:39Speaker 2: really slowly across the streets.
- 7:41Speaker 11: They shuffles, the dumping bump. He's talking birthdays.
- 7:49Speaker 2: This shimm We won't sit because she was like shim
- 7:55Speaker 2: and you know, we don't do humpy birthday. Who Josh Ratner,

- 11:29Speaker 2: seven seven forty four Woody texts say whatever you got
- 11:33Speaker 2: our check in over to two two nine eighty seven.
- 11:37Speaker 2: We check in with Gina Grad. She's got the trending
- 11:40Speaker 2: news headlines.
- 11:41Speaker 8: Well, the sixteen year old shooter who killed two students
- 11:44Speaker 8: and two teachers at Alipachie High School in Georgia. He
- 11:46Speaker 8: was sentenced yesterday to life in prison without the possibility
- 11:50Speaker 8: of parole.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Dude, you are so young. You're going to prison for
- 11:54Speaker 2: the rest of your life with no possibility of parole.
- 11:57Speaker 2: That's it. Have fun with that.
- 11:58Speaker 7: You're gone yeah.
- 12:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:00Speaker 8: During the sentencing, the judge called the shooting deliberate, contemplated evil,
- 12:04Speaker 8: and said the shooter was proud of what he had
- 12:06Speaker 8: done rather than sorry for his actions. The judge also
- 12:09Speaker 8: showed writings from him saying he wanted to quote make
- 12:12Speaker 8: history and be remembered for the pain he caused. The
- 12:16Speaker 8: defense lawyers for the shooter argued that the shooter had
- 12:19Speaker 8: a bad childhood, you guys, and his sentence should be reduced,
- 12:22Speaker 8: but the judge was not buying it. This was the
- 12:24Speaker 8: first time in Georgia history that a student carried out
- 12:27Speaker 8: an attack on a school, and the judge wanted to
- 12:29Speaker 8: make an example of him, so example made well. American
- 12:34Speaker 8: Airlines came to a screeching halt yesterday at all United
- 12:38Speaker 8: States airports after an IT issue led to a big
- 12:41Speaker 8: ground stoppage. American Airlines described it as a technology issue
- 12:46Speaker 8: briefly impacted connectivity.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Like you always say.
- 12:50Speaker 8: Yeah. Services were eventually restored, but it was a huge
- 12:54Speaker 8: pain in the ass for people who were trying to
- 12:56Speaker 8: get somewhere.
- 12:57Speaker 2: So that sucks.
- 12:58Speaker 8: And San Francisco forty nine Ers head coach Kyle Shanahan,
- 13:02Speaker 8: he's clearing up what really happened during that big car
- 13:04Speaker 8: crash she was in a couple weeks ago. So Shanahan
- 13:07Speaker 8: said he was responsible for the July fourteenth crash in
- 13:10Speaker 8: Palo Alto after his phone fell and he briefly took
- 13:13Speaker 8: his eyes off the road trying to grab it, and
- 13:16Speaker 8: he says that caused his tesla to cruss into oncoming
- 13:19Speaker 8: traffic and hit another car.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Put an autopilot, Yeah, isn't that what they do. That's
- 13:23Speaker 2: what it's for. Yeah, you drop your phone, you can
- 13:26Speaker 2: put it in an autopilot.
- 13:27Speaker 8: Like we mentioned before, the crash left Shanahan with a concussion.
- 13:30Speaker 2: To have a game plan coach, thank you.
- 13:34Speaker 8: Yeah, broken nose, broken hand, facial cuts that required forty stitches.
- 13:38Speaker 2: It was lost an eye. Oh wow, I was reading
- 13:41Speaker 2: a report about that yesterday. It's crazy. Although it would
- 13:43Speaker 2: have been really cool in the sidelines with that patch. Yeah,
- 13:46Speaker 2: but I got the empirate. It's illegal to be on
- 13:48Speaker 2: your phone, So why would that happen?
- 13:50Speaker 8: That's a really good question. Well, here's the thing. The
- 13:52Speaker 8: initial police report blamed the other driver, so sounds like
- 13:56Speaker 8: maybe they were trying to do him a little solid
- 13:57Speaker 8: at the beginning. But he says He wanted to correc
- 14:00Speaker 8: the story because he didn't want the other driver, this
- 14:02Speaker 8: twenty one year old chick, to get blamed for something
- 14:04Speaker 8: she didn't do. I was driving with a friend in
- 14:06Speaker 8: high school who dropped something on the ground, and she
- 14:09Speaker 8: was driving and took the entire wheel with her when
- 14:12Speaker 8: she tried to pick it up, and we hit another
- 14:14Speaker 8: car easily. Like people just don't think when they're driving.
- 14:18Speaker 8: It's insane.
- 14:18Speaker 5: But I think we've all been guilty.
- 14:20Speaker 8: Of that, right, taking the whole wheel while you pick.
- 14:23Speaker 5: Well, no, not that, but I have reached into the
- 14:25Speaker 5: like the passenger side floor just.
- 14:27Speaker 2: To pick something up, especially if this story yesterday, I
- 14:32Speaker 2: forget where it was. But this this woman just following
- 14:36Speaker 2: the directions of the GPS, like driving on the train track.
- 14:39Speaker 2: She pulled up to the light rail station. Yeah, and
- 14:42Speaker 2: the light rail security is like, hey, hold up, where
- 14:45Speaker 2: are you going. She's like, oh, just filling directly, get
- 14:48Speaker 2: dumb bitch, Like I got seriously though, Like how they
- 14:52Speaker 2: don't need to be very well, there's no road in
- 14:55Speaker 2: front of you. It's clearly just train tracks. Driving on
- 14:58Speaker 2: the tracks, and you're a coaching the station. Yeah, and
- 15:03Speaker 2: you're still driving and that the security guys waving his
- 15:08Speaker 2: arms and she rolls the window down, like, uh, yes,
- 15:10Speaker 2: can I help you? What?
- 15:12Speaker 8: What's problem?
- 15:13Speaker 2: Oh god, that's what people are too dumb to live.
- 15:16Speaker 8: Yeah, that's one of the famous Office episodes when Michael's
- 15:19Speaker 8: following the GPS into the lake and do I keeps
- 15:22Speaker 8: going Michael, it can't mean that.
- 15:24Speaker 2: But we follow whatever it does. We're idiots.
- 15:27Speaker 8: Well, La Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert and singer Madison Beer.
- 15:31Speaker 8: Oh guys, they're officially engaged here of dating. The couple
- 15:35Speaker 8: shared the big news on Instagram, with Beer writing meet
- 15:37Speaker 8: my fiance, along with photos of her of Herbert's romantic
- 15:41Speaker 8: proposal and the outdoor set up look straight out a movie.
- 15:44Speaker 8: I don't know if you saw these pictures, but dear god,
- 15:48Speaker 8: they're gorgeous. Beer's mom also celebrated the big news that
- 15:52Speaker 8: she called the most incredible compatible, meant to be couple,
- 15:56Speaker 8: and of course congratulations pured in from everybody. Now her
- 16:00Speaker 8: just needs to get his first playoff win, and he's
- 16:02Speaker 8: all good.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Look I think he's all good anyway.
- 16:05Speaker 8: Yeah, she's pretty hot. I don't know, I couldn't name
- 16:07Speaker 8: a medicine Beer song of.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Him she Honestly, I didn't know she was a singer.
- 16:11Speaker 7: I thought she was.
- 16:12Speaker 2: I don't know what she did. I've heard the name
- 16:15Speaker 2: before and I've seen her. I go, oh, yeah, she's
- 16:16Speaker 2: she's pretty. She looks like a like a younger Sophia Vigara.
- 16:21Speaker 2: I can see that it has a resemble. She looks
- 16:23Speaker 2: like she could be like Sophia Vigara's daughter.
- 16:25Speaker 5: And in some pictures like Sophia Vergara morphed with Megan Fox.
- 16:29Speaker 7: Yeah a little bit.
- 16:31Speaker 2: What was that clip from Barstool that you were playing, Jeff.
- 16:34Speaker 13: Oh, they were talking about how they don't understand why
- 16:37Speaker 13: everybody's clowning him and saying like, how did he end
- 16:40Speaker 13: up with her?
- 16:41Speaker 2: He's the prize. He made two hundred and fifty.
- 16:44Speaker 13: Million dollars quarterback in the NFL, which is yahy.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Why is he the winner? She's the winner? Yeah? How
- 16:52Speaker 2: did he pull her? Why are people being like key pulled? Who?
- 16:56Speaker 7: Right?
- 16:57Speaker 14: Justin Herbert is the most eligible bachelor in America. He
- 17:02Speaker 14: is a six foot six dream boat with thick, wavy
- 17:06Speaker 14: surfer hair. He's making a quarter billion dollars. He is
- 17:11Speaker 14: the star quarterback in Southern California. He's in the sexiest
- 17:16Speaker 14: and most impressive leadership position in all of athletics.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Who is a more eligible bachelor?
- 17:22Speaker 14: He's dreamy and like an of course, he is the
- 17:26Speaker 14: pinnacle of men.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I get it. You're trying to bang it. Wow, dreamy,
- 17:31Speaker 2: I means right, Like, where's the confusion it could have been?
- 17:35Speaker 2: He just has a quarter of a billion dollars and.
- 17:41Speaker 7: Fan Yeah.
- 17:43Speaker 8: Well, a former Jeopardy champion and certified weirdo. This guy,
- 17:46Speaker 8: Joseph Joey Dessenna. He pleaded guilty to two felony counts
- 17:50Speaker 8: of secret peeping after he admitted to putting hidden cameras
- 17:54Speaker 8: inside the bedroom and bathroom of a vacation rental in
- 17:57Speaker 8: North North Carolina. Prosecutors say the cameras were disguised as
- 18:01Speaker 8: USB wall chargers. Guys, so check those out at your
- 18:04Speaker 8: next to stay.
- 18:05Speaker 2: So he's not going to be back for a Battle
- 18:07Speaker 2: of the Champions.
- 18:08Speaker 8: No, and this purf put them up there so you know,
- 18:10Speaker 8: you could, like yank, get to the videos that he
- 18:12Speaker 8: was catching.
- 18:13Speaker 2: I know it's not accurate, but one of those things.
- 18:15Speaker 2: I just assumed that all arabbnbs are spying on you.
- 18:18Speaker 7: I get that.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Too, with like bathroom cameras and shower cameras, and they're
- 18:24Speaker 2: they're videotaping you banging, like doing vacation banging. Just assume, yeah,
- 18:29Speaker 2: that it's happened. I've never stayed in one, nor have I.
- 18:32Speaker 2: I can't see. I can't see that I ever will.
- 18:34Speaker 2: I don't like the idea.
- 18:36Speaker 7: I don't like.
- 18:36Speaker 2: I told you, I don't like the idea of staying
- 18:37Speaker 2: at somebody else's house, even people. I know, Yeah, these
- 18:39Speaker 2: are vacation rentals.
- 18:42Speaker 8: They're not people's houses.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Cool this Hilton on it.
- 18:44Speaker 8: I have stayed in someone's house that they did have
- 18:47Speaker 8: to like skidaddle out and left their house kind of messy,
- 18:49Speaker 8: and it was all their family pictures were up and
- 18:51Speaker 8: it looked like children of the Corn and that was creepy.
- 18:53Speaker 8: But in general, they're vacation rental and I.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Do know, you know, like cruise ships. Every once in
- 18:58Speaker 2: a while there's a story about like some employees. Yeah,
- 19:02Speaker 2: every once in a while.
- 19:03Speaker 5: It feels I always think the smoke detector and hotels
- 19:06Speaker 5: is a camera. But it doesn't stop me from doing
- 19:11Speaker 5: salacious things, that's for sure.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Yeah, random mass public bathrooms have cameras.
- 19:15Speaker 5: I wonder, I wonder how many we've been in and
- 19:20Speaker 5: I had this is so weird that this came up today.
- 19:23Speaker 5: I had a dream the other night that I was
- 19:27Speaker 5: at the Brady Bunch House and they said that you
- 19:30Speaker 5: can walk around by yourself if you want. No one's
- 19:33Speaker 5: going to be here with you. And I thought, oh
- 19:35Speaker 5: my god, number one rip number two, Oh, you know
- 19:39Speaker 5: what I should do while I'm here, Joe?
- 19:42Speaker 2: It went the Brady Bunch so.
- 19:46Speaker 5: It was it was Marsha's room, and I Joe and
- 19:50Speaker 5: I finished, and then I left and I thought.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Oh, I forgot. They have cameras everywhere.
- 19:59Speaker 5: And when I woke up, I was in the worst
- 20:00Speaker 5: mood because I was embarrassed. I thought, oh my god,
- 20:04Speaker 5: I you know, jerked it, jerked it in the Brady
- 20:08Speaker 5: Bunch House and I'm on camera. It was the weirdest dream.
- 20:11Speaker 5: I was so shamed.
- 20:12Speaker 8: Did you remember that they had cameras because it's a
- 20:14Speaker 8: TV set or just we.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Actually went there and they didn't have.
- 20:19Speaker 5: In every inch and I forgot, and I Joe, and
- 20:24Speaker 5: then I remembered, oh my god.
- 20:28Speaker 2: By the way, it's conversations like this which keep us
- 20:31Speaker 2: from ever getting nominated for any kind of industry awards.
- 20:34Speaker 2: They just came out with like the did you see
- 20:36Speaker 2: it yesterday? They came out with all the people who
- 20:37Speaker 2: are in the running to Windy. They're called the Marconi's.
- 20:40Speaker 2: It's supposed to be like the Oscars of radio, and
- 20:42Speaker 2: it's all the same old kind of stations and same
- 20:45Speaker 2: old shows that they just keep recycling. And good for them,
- 20:48Speaker 2: but it's all that completely safe doing second date update,
- 20:54Speaker 2: you know those kind of talking about masturbation, had a
- 20:58Speaker 2: dream about jerking it in the Brady bun. That's it
- 21:04Speaker 2: for the what we show you guys, And that's another year.
- 21:07Speaker 2: I'm not getting nominated.
- 21:09Speaker 5: I want to make the Academy.
- 21:10Speaker 2: I want to make short Yeah that was for Greg
- 21:20Speaker 2: and the credits.
- 21:25Speaker 7: Alright, what else do you?
- 21:28Speaker 8: Chili's is undergoing a big old overhaul. They are going
- 21:33Speaker 8: to uh going to go back to the past, bringing
- 21:35Speaker 8: back their famous red booths, their quirky artwork, and other
- 21:38Speaker 8: throwback related items in an attempt to recapture that nostalgic
- 21:42Speaker 8: feeling that helped make chilies chilies cool.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Dude, bring back the chocolate chip paradise pie. That was
- 21:49Speaker 2: my favorite dessert of all time. It was a chili staple.
- 21:51Speaker 2: For the longest time, it was like this what do
- 21:54Speaker 2: they call those where it's like a chocolate chip cookie
- 21:56Speaker 2: brownie kind of thing, a brookie, but on the bottom
- 22:00Speaker 2: of it it had almost like a like a crumbly
- 22:03Speaker 2: brown sugar type crust, right, and it was warm and
- 22:07Speaker 2: it was like fresh out of the up and it
- 22:09Speaker 2: would set on the plate and then they put a
- 22:10Speaker 2: scoop of ice cream and then drizzle it with chocolate
- 22:13Speaker 2: and caramel sauce.
- 22:14Speaker 8: Sounds perfect and uh.
- 22:16Speaker 2: Some you know, crushed nuts on top. Man, that was
- 22:19Speaker 2: hands down my favorite dessert at any restaurant, high end,
- 22:23Speaker 2: real fancy bougie places all the way down to fried
- 22:26Speaker 2: apple pies and McDonald's drive through. My favorite dessert any restaurant.
- 22:29Speaker 2: And they got rid of it a handful of years
- 22:31Speaker 2: ago because all these places try to go healthy, but
- 22:34Speaker 2: we have GFP was now, So who needs that? Yeah, dude,
- 22:37Speaker 2: bring if they're going all, you know, bringing all the
- 22:39Speaker 2: stuff back and bringing back the chocolate chip paradise all
- 22:42Speaker 2: right from Chili's menace And if Taco Bell is listening,
- 22:46Speaker 2: you want to.
- 22:46Speaker 10: Throw something out the four alarm double dujitter Taco discontinued
- 22:49Speaker 10: in nineteen ninety seven.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Bring it back, y'all.
- 22:51Speaker 8: See, Ye, Chili's is over twelve hundred locations. All of
- 22:58Speaker 8: them will be remodeled over time. And this is in
- 23:00Speaker 8: addition to the investment they've made in the food. What
- 23:03Speaker 8: he in the last few years. So higher ups at
- 23:05Speaker 8: Chili said they want to make Chilis more.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Chilis also screwed up a Chili's they got rid of
- 23:10Speaker 2: they used to do. I think they called them pub
- 23:12Speaker 2: nachos where instead of just having a big plate of nachos,
- 23:16Speaker 2: how like a lot of people do, which the pile
- 23:18Speaker 2: and they sprinkle the cheese and some have more cheese
- 23:20Speaker 2: and other the ones under the shouldn't go vertical. They
- 23:24Speaker 2: were like individual nacho chips and they were laid out
- 23:27Speaker 2: and on top of each one they had some you
- 23:29Speaker 2: know I'm talking about. They had like some refried beans.
- 23:32Speaker 2: They would melt the cheese over top of it. They
- 23:34Speaker 2: had the lettuce, the sour cream, the halapanos, the whole thing,
- 23:38Speaker 2: and then they would put them under like a broiler
- 23:40Speaker 2: or something. They changed them up.
- 23:43Speaker 7: It sounds like changed them up. What are you doing?
- 23:45Speaker 10: Yeah, it sounds like someone needs to be on the
- 23:47Speaker 10: advisory board Chili.
- 23:48Speaker 2: You know what it does sound like that? It does
- 23:51Speaker 2: sound like here here's here's the chocolate chip paradise inside me. Yep,
- 23:57Speaker 2: so good. They pulled up a picture for you in
- 24:00Speaker 2: the studio. But do yourself a favor. Well maybe not
- 24:02Speaker 2: if you're driving. Google it so you can see that this.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Won't be disappointed, dude. This thing was so good?
- 24:06Speaker 15: Was that before the chocolate molten lava cake?
- 24:09Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 24:10Speaker 15: Okay, you know what I'm talking about, right.
- 24:11Speaker 8: I mean, I know they exist, right, Morgan?
- 24:13Speaker 2: Did you work a lot?
- 24:16Speaker 5: No?
- 24:16Speaker 15: I was fat when I was a kid.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Of those you seem to know the menu, fat Morgan.
- 24:26Speaker 2: Well that's what's going on, all right, Thank you very much,
- 24:28Speaker 2: Gina grad all right, welcome back everybody.
- 24:36Speaker 7: Man.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Menace loves every time we have a pitch meeting. That's
- 24:41Speaker 2: almost every week. Man, Would you rather he loves he
- 24:44Speaker 2: loves the Would you rather? I love them? They're so
- 24:47Speaker 2: good because I love you. Notice hearing people's response to them,
- 24:51Speaker 2: what's your what's your account?
- 24:53Speaker 8: Thing like low res logic, the craziest.
- 24:57Speaker 2: We've played a couple of those before, so that that'd
- 24:59Speaker 2: be like something for Menace to follow little reds logic. Yes, yeah,
- 25:04Speaker 2: because the more and Morgan, you should appreciate too, because
- 25:07Speaker 2: the more inappropriate. Oh yeah, the more we love it.
- 25:10Speaker 15: The worst situation you're putting, the more awkward.
- 25:13Speaker 2: The more cringey, the more whatever, the more uncomfortable it
- 25:15Speaker 2: make somebody even the thought, yeah, uh is good. And
- 25:19Speaker 2: we're so jaded because we've seen everything. For like the
- 25:21Speaker 2: normal person, it's pretty hard for them. Got to answered, Yeah,
- 25:26Speaker 2: no problem, you have no pride, no shame. Yeah, it's
- 25:29Speaker 2: all right, answer lady the way. It's also a hypothetical.
- 25:33Speaker 5: It's not gonna happen. It's not real.
- 25:35Speaker 2: I don't know why people get so angry about angry
- 25:37Speaker 2: about it. It's like, you know, this is just a hypothetical. Yeah,
- 25:41Speaker 2: it's it's not that big of deal. Jeff, you're a
- 25:43Speaker 2: you're a pretty big fan. I asked Jeff to come
- 25:46Speaker 2: up with a few. I love him. Here you go, Manes,
- 25:48Speaker 2: here's one for you, all right, hit me all right, Jeff?
- 25:50Speaker 2: Are you ready?
- 25:51Speaker 7: Yes?
- 25:51Speaker 13: Would you rather Joe aka tug your best friend more?
- 25:56Speaker 13: Let him sleep with your girl?
- 26:00Speaker 15: Good?
- 26:03Speaker 2: That's a good one. That's a thinker, now, he said
- 26:07Speaker 2: to completion. Or he was taking it at it.
- 26:09Speaker 8: I think you got to finish.
- 26:11Speaker 15: I don't, could you.
- 26:14Speaker 2: That's up to you. No, because it well, yeah, you
- 26:18Speaker 2: got to be You may be great at it. But
- 26:20Speaker 2: if he if he's just had too much to drink.
- 26:22Speaker 2: What if you just can't get over the fact that
- 26:24Speaker 2: his friend is tugging him.
- 26:25Speaker 8: Maybe that's part of the turn on for him.
- 26:27Speaker 7: I doubt it.
- 26:28Speaker 5: He needs to get over it.
- 26:30Speaker 2: I think I would Joe my friend. Yeah, Duke, he
- 26:36Speaker 2: hooked up. Bro, this situation involves me and him, not
- 26:42Speaker 2: you know, not the prize.
- 26:44Speaker 15: We've got him behind the door.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I would agree, I would say I probably, Yeah,
- 26:53Speaker 2: I'd go with the tug your friend. I think because
- 26:57Speaker 2: here's the thing, lady, I think your best friend understand. Like, look, bro,
- 27:04Speaker 2: you understand, right, I get it. Yeah, that's a really
- 27:09Speaker 2: good one. Yeah, Greg, what would uh Joe the friend? Okay, Okay,
- 27:16Speaker 2: we gotta we gotta think about it in different terms
- 27:18Speaker 2: from Greg. So no, no, he he has to uh Okay.
- 27:23Speaker 2: So it's it's a it's a couple that he's friends with, right,
- 27:27Speaker 2: and he would have to he would have to give
- 27:30Speaker 2: a mouth party to the wife or the husband could
- 27:34Speaker 2: hook up with Mario because like the idea, the idea
- 27:39Speaker 2: of maybe having to tug your best friend is not
- 27:41Speaker 2: it's not gross, right to Greg, It's like whatever, it's
- 27:44Speaker 2: just another tug job, exactly, right, So we had to
- 27:48Speaker 2: go with something it's like a little bit more.
- 27:50Speaker 5: But then so in my appealing to him, south party,
- 27:55Speaker 5: not just jilling her. Yeah, I'm I mean, you guys
- 28:00Speaker 5: didn't have the mouth party.
- 28:02Speaker 2: But it's not fair because he's done all that to
- 28:04Speaker 2: women as well. Exactly, I'm trying to think there would
- 28:06Speaker 2: be something equally uncomfortable. I'm trying to make things like apples.
- 28:09Speaker 8: Apples, Really, Greg, I don't think you'd be super comfortable
- 28:12Speaker 8: tugging your best friend.
- 28:13Speaker 5: Yeah, but you know them, So then okay, hmmm.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Projective of mouth party, Greg, why do you think about it?
- 28:27Speaker 5: Let me think about this, because my scenario is vastly
- 28:30Speaker 5: different than yours.
- 28:31Speaker 2: It's not it's not real.
- 28:35Speaker 5: Let's let's say mouth party because yeah, been there, been there,
- 28:37Speaker 5: had done that. Yeah gross though, right, definitely.
- 28:41Speaker 2: I don't know how you do the worst, right, there
- 28:43Speaker 2: was associated I don't I don't know how this came up.
- 28:45Speaker 2: There was a side conversation here in the studio amongst
- 28:49Speaker 2: the women about like when they like broke their hymen.
- 28:55Speaker 8: Me and Sam we were talking about it.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Oh okay, I was. I was half paying attention because
- 28:59Speaker 2: I'm over here doing work and other things. All of
- 29:02Speaker 2: a sudden I'm hearing about like, did you know when
- 29:04Speaker 2: you're hymen broke?
- 29:05Speaker 5: Didn't you question it?
- 29:06Speaker 2: That was, well, you didn't know.
- 29:08Speaker 5: You didn't know.
- 29:09Speaker 2: You're talking about horseback riding, horseback riding and things like that,
- 29:13Speaker 2: Like would you even know?
- 29:14Speaker 8: Yeah, that's that was my question, Like how do you know?
- 29:17Speaker 2: What is that?
- 29:17Speaker 8: In the same as like I knew and that was
- 29:19Speaker 8: shocking to me. She's like, I was just running around
- 29:22Speaker 8: too much at Christmas.
- 29:23Speaker 2: Party, of course.
- 29:26Speaker 7: And that's why she ya, that's what.
- 29:32Speaker 15: Wait to the cherry thing, that's the same thing. I've
- 29:37Speaker 15: never heard it called breaking your hymen.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Well that's what the doctor's not like. So what you
- 29:46Speaker 2: speak and talk to a doctor like cherry is not
- 29:49Speaker 2: the term they learned in medical school. But it's cute.
- 29:53Speaker 15: I don't know.
- 29:54Speaker 2: But what you didn't know that it involved blood? Right,
- 29:56Speaker 2: I don't know what I thought. I just think I
- 29:58Speaker 2: never cared. Would you know?
- 30:00Speaker 7: Oh?
- 30:00Speaker 8: Yeah, that was my question.
- 30:01Speaker 2: I didn't know.
- 30:03Speaker 8: Maybe as well have it, Jeff.
- 30:06Speaker 5: Are you talking to your friend?
- 30:07Speaker 7: Or yeah, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah you homie.
- 30:14Speaker 2: Here's one from that account that that you know, this logic,
- 30:18Speaker 2: the low res logic. Guys, would you rather?
- 30:20Speaker 16: Here?
- 30:21Speaker 7: You go?
- 30:21Speaker 2: Man, it's not one.
- 30:21Speaker 17: Would you rather your toilet gain sentience and the ability
- 30:24Speaker 17: to speak? But remember everything you've done and talks to you.
- 30:27Speaker 17: You're in the bathroom. It's not happy with you or
- 30:29Speaker 17: your bet gain sentience, and it whispers atrocities in your
- 30:32Speaker 17: ears every night when you're trying to sleep.
- 30:33Speaker 2: I don't understand that at all. Was that English?
- 30:36Speaker 17: What you want to go back to the questions, would
- 30:39Speaker 17: you rather your toilet gains sentience and the ability to speak?
- 30:42Speaker 2: Gain what sentience?
- 30:43Speaker 15: What does that mean?
- 30:44Speaker 2: It means it's like you can think your toilet about.
- 30:47Speaker 2: Just say that, would rather your toilet gains sentience?
- 30:50Speaker 17: Would rather your toilet gains sentience and the ability to speak?
- 30:52Speaker 17: But remember everything you've done and talks to you. You're
- 30:55Speaker 17: in the bathroom. It's not happy with you or your
- 30:58Speaker 17: bet gains sentience, and it whispers and your.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Or your what I'm so glad you sent you.
- 31:03Speaker 5: I didn't understand what word he said?
- 31:04Speaker 7: All right, I got it.
- 31:06Speaker 2: I just want there the toilet to talk to me
- 31:10Speaker 2: while i'm there. I don't want to keeping me up
- 31:12Speaker 2: at night, all right, Jeff? Next, Wait, what's the what's
- 31:14Speaker 2: the second option?
- 31:16Speaker 8: Either your toilet knows everything you've done and talks to
- 31:19Speaker 8: you about it when you're on the toilet or your
- 31:21Speaker 8: bed when you're trying to fall asleep, just whispers atrocities
- 31:25Speaker 8: to you that have happened in history while you're trying.
- 31:27Speaker 2: To Why are you guys throw atrocities and sentience?
- 31:29Speaker 7: But simple, I know how to speak.
- 31:35Speaker 5: Okay, toilet because you're you spend preferably eight hours a
- 31:39Speaker 5: night in bed.
- 31:40Speaker 8: Yeah, can you imagine, so toilet all night?
- 31:43Speaker 15: Oh?
- 31:43Speaker 2: Yeah, toilet. Yeah, I'll go. I'll go with the toilet,
- 31:45Speaker 2: all right.
- 31:46Speaker 8: I think you're like the next one.
- 31:47Speaker 9: Though, fifty dollars an hour for how much time you
- 31:50Speaker 9: spend spreading misinformation on the internet, or option two, get
- 31:54Speaker 9: one thousand dollars every time you make a minimum wage
- 31:57Speaker 9: employee cry.
- 32:00Speaker 15: Wait, so I'm eighty dollars per every hour you spread misinformation?
- 32:04Speaker 8: Yeah, which people do anyway? Or us for one thousand
- 32:07Speaker 8: dollars one time for every time you make an employee cry,
- 32:11Speaker 8: I'll take.
- 32:11Speaker 2: A misinformation one. Oh, I'll employee cry all day because
- 32:14Speaker 2: customer service is terrible. Anyways, Well, you know, so I'll
- 32:19Speaker 2: just highlight that all day and get paid the thousand bucks.
- 32:22Speaker 2: I hate spreading the misinformation, but I think it could
- 32:26Speaker 2: be fun if you're getting paid for it. To come
- 32:28Speaker 2: up with the crazy It would be fun, you know
- 32:29Speaker 2: what I mean? Just spread cares.
- 32:31Speaker 8: And also you'll become public enemy number one menuce when
- 32:33Speaker 8: all that stuff's gone on camera.
- 32:35Speaker 2: Yeah, like what yours? This guy's so mean making people
- 32:38Speaker 2: cry the customer service sucked? Say that, Well, what if
- 32:42Speaker 2: it doesn't suck, you just need to get paid. Yeah,
- 32:45Speaker 2: you're just making random minimum wage employees cry. That wasn't
- 32:50Speaker 2: the question. Can you go back?
- 32:51Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 32:51Speaker 2: What, of course I can't.
- 32:53Speaker 9: Fifty dollars an hour for how much time you spend
- 32:55Speaker 9: spreading misinformation on the internet or option to get a
- 32:59Speaker 9: thousand dollar every time you make a minimum wage employee cry.
- 33:04Speaker 5: It doesn't have to It doesn't.
- 33:05Speaker 2: Have to be why I can pick and choose.
- 33:08Speaker 7: I don't.
- 33:10Speaker 2: You can't.
- 33:11Speaker 5: I'm doing the thousand Yeah, they don't.
- 33:14Speaker 8: They don't define if you can pick No, you can
- 33:16Speaker 8: just every time whenever you want to do it.
- 33:18Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I'm staking with my original answer. Yeah, I'm
- 33:24Speaker 2: still going with the misinformation because I feel like the
- 33:27Speaker 2: people who would be the jerks who would deserve it
- 33:30Speaker 2: probably don't care. You couldn't make them cry because they
- 33:32Speaker 2: wouldn't even care for what you'd have to do to cry.
- 33:35Speaker 2: Think about people who are going to cry, it's the
- 33:37Speaker 2: people who care. Yeah, right, It's like they're they're not
- 33:40Speaker 2: going to be the rude, you know, useless customer service people.
- 33:46Speaker 2: Just come out there gonna be a nice one. So yeah,
- 33:48Speaker 2: you know, it worked really hard. It's easy just to
- 33:50Speaker 2: come up with some nonsense. It's floated out there. It's
- 33:53Speaker 2: funny like I saw Bigfoot exactly, you know, some something
- 33:56Speaker 2: stupid like that. All right, Jeff, give me one more here.
- 34:00Speaker 2: This is a good one. Would you rather watch your
- 34:02Speaker 2: parents have sex every night for the rest of your
- 34:05Speaker 2: life or join in once to make it stop?
- 34:09Speaker 15: God?
- 34:10Speaker 2: Greg? I mean yeah, Greg, question discussing would you rather
- 34:19Speaker 2: watch your parents have sex every night for the rest
- 34:22Speaker 2: of your life or join in once to make it stop? God?
- 34:29Speaker 7: This is.
- 34:31Speaker 15: I'm watching every night.
- 34:32Speaker 8: Yeah, there's no I think you just become desensitized. You
- 34:36Speaker 8: don't participate because that'll that will ruin your the rest
- 34:38Speaker 8: of your life.
- 34:39Speaker 5: Couldn't do it?
- 34:40Speaker 15: Is that not illegal?
- 34:41Speaker 2: Yeah? I mean it's all horrible again. You have it
- 34:49Speaker 2: once every many nights.
- 34:51Speaker 8: I mean, you're going to be haunted every night.
- 34:53Speaker 2: I watch it once and then just kill myself. It's
- 34:57Speaker 2: only the one time, you know what I mean, you'd
- 35:01Speaker 2: want to kill yourself. Uh, I'm watching them. I can't
- 35:05Speaker 2: believe you have to think about it every night. Yeah, yeah,
- 35:09Speaker 2: I guess. I mean I get that. I mean because
- 35:11Speaker 2: the other one is not even an option. No, but
- 35:14Speaker 2: I'm just thinking about every that's a long time, assuming
- 35:17Speaker 2: you live to the average age.
- 35:18Speaker 8: But you just stopped caring after a while, you know,
- 35:21Speaker 8: like when you say a word over and over again,
- 35:23Speaker 8: it stops sounding like a word. It just sounds like nonsense.
- 35:25Speaker 7: I know.
- 35:25Speaker 2: But you're still watching mom take it? Yeah?
- 35:28Speaker 8: Would you rather be giving it?
- 35:29Speaker 7: Exactly?
- 35:30Speaker 2: Though it doesn't say you have to be given.
- 35:31Speaker 15: It's taking it either way.
- 35:33Speaker 5: Yeah, you want to take it from you to make
- 35:35Speaker 5: it start the giver.
- 35:37Speaker 7: Like join in.
- 35:37Speaker 2: Could be you're receiving a mouth party and if you
- 35:39Speaker 2: keep your eyes closed. It could be anybody. Oh my god,
- 35:43Speaker 2: y hey, if menace gets to make things up about
- 35:47Speaker 2: like yeah, well, if you're just for the rude customer
- 35:49Speaker 2: service people, I get to say, oh, maybe it's just
- 35:51Speaker 2: a mouth party. That's your no, no, no, it would.
- 35:55Speaker 5: Be the other night.
- 35:57Speaker 2: Watch a mouth party from your believe you here path
- 36:02Speaker 2: of least resistance. In that situation, there are no winners.
- 36:05Speaker 2: There are no winners here, my friend, there are no winners,
- 36:08Speaker 2: especially not your mom. Go eight seven four Woody. See
- 36:15Speaker 2: that is fun?
- 36:16Speaker 6: Right?
- 36:17Speaker 8: Every week I think I feel way worse.
- 36:19Speaker 2: Now you can send us a text over to two
- 36:21Speaker 2: to nine eights. My brain's broken. Yeah, it broke my brain.
- 36:25Speaker 7: Where to go?
- 36:26Speaker 2: More Woody shows?
- 36:27Speaker 7: Next?
- 36:27Speaker 2: Hang on, this is the iguana taco took the skin
- 36:30Speaker 2: off of it.
- 36:31Speaker 15: Indeed, I feel like I'm tasting the skin.
- 36:32Speaker 2: What do you think?
- 36:33Speaker 5: A whole lot of flavors, not a guana forward.
- 36:35Speaker 2: Just not like Woody show.
- 36:49Speaker 7: Shoe. It was.
- 36:54Speaker 2: Storing the news. A An executive at Netflix got fired
- 37:00Speaker 2: from his job after revealing during a trust exercise at
- 37:05Speaker 2: work like a work retreat thing, that he had taken
- 37:08Speaker 2: medically prescribed ketamine. Who cares Okay, so a lot of
- 37:13Speaker 2: housewives do that. Yeah, and they fired him over that.
- 37:17Speaker 2: It was a work retreat trust extra. I didn't I
- 37:19Speaker 2: didn't know these companies still did that stuff. Remember, like, man,
- 37:24Speaker 2: where was I working time? They took us out to
- 37:26Speaker 2: a ropes course and you did like trust falls out bonding.
- 37:32Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, team bonding and stuff like that. What torture, Well,
- 37:36Speaker 2: you know what it is. It's like taking people out
- 37:38Speaker 2: to things like that costs money and they're not going
- 37:40Speaker 2: to spend a dime on any of that stuff.
- 37:42Speaker 10: There's a lot of companies still doing it. I think
- 37:44Speaker 10: I had a friend that just recently did a huge
- 37:47Speaker 10: fit to Florida with their whole staff.
- 37:49Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 37:50Speaker 2: Yeah, that's pretty nice, dude.
- 37:52Speaker 10: My sister did like first class to Singapore, Like they
- 37:57Speaker 10: had three thousand employees all flow flew first class to Singapore,
- 38:02Speaker 10: which is insane.
- 38:04Speaker 2: What kind of company is that? Out of curiosity?
- 38:06Speaker 7: What do they do?
- 38:07Speaker 2: A tech company? Yeah, See, those guys spend money. They
- 38:10Speaker 2: don't have money, they just they get it from the investors.
- 38:14Speaker 2: They never make a dime and the whole hope is
- 38:16Speaker 2: that somebody comes in and buys them and then everybody
- 38:18Speaker 2: kind of gets paid up. In the meantime, they just
- 38:20Speaker 2: burn money. Yeah, Like, no, nobody's making any money, so
- 38:24Speaker 2: they'll spend money on sending everybody to Singapore. If I'm
- 38:27Speaker 2: an investor, I'm pissed know that Herd's actually does this
- 38:31Speaker 2: software company. But I'm saying just in general, like that
- 38:33Speaker 2: a lot of.
- 38:33Speaker 8: Those that's what I'm spending my money on.
- 38:35Speaker 17: Right.
- 38:35Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like, oh, well, we really need another round
- 38:37Speaker 2: of funding for X y Z and you're just killing
- 38:39Speaker 2: time hoping that like an Amazon or somebody comes in
- 38:42Speaker 2: and you're talking more like and buys it Open Ai
- 38:45Speaker 2: and stuff.
- 38:46Speaker 7: Well, so this.
- 38:46Speaker 2: Netflix executive gets fired. He had a one point one
- 38:49Speaker 2: million dollars a year job and you have this stupid
- 38:52Speaker 2: work to treat and you tell everybody he took some
- 38:55Speaker 2: medically prescribed ketamine.
- 38:57Speaker 5: I think he's got a case, right respect, he's suing.
- 39:01Speaker 2: They do that spas dude, speaking of suing, this is
- 39:05Speaker 2: so funny. Do you watch Last Week Tonight with John Oliver?
- 39:09Speaker 7: Oh?
- 39:09Speaker 8: I catch it sometimes.
- 39:10Speaker 2: He's so funny. It's so funny, man. I think the
- 39:12Speaker 2: writing is really good on that show, and John Oliver's
- 39:17Speaker 2: delivery I think is really good. He started doing that
- 39:21Speaker 2: show pretty much the same time we started here this
- 39:24Speaker 2: long yeah, yeah, like when we got the gang back together. Yeah,
- 39:28Speaker 2: I want to say it was twenty fourteen that did
- 39:31Speaker 2: they launch that show on HBO. Still around, still doing
- 39:34Speaker 2: really well. He wins a bunch of awards. Yeah yeah.
- 39:40Speaker 2: But anyway, he did this really funny bit and he's
- 39:43Speaker 2: got it going on right now where he's going after BUCkies.
- 39:47Speaker 2: Oh no, dare well, And if you listen to what
- 39:49Speaker 2: he's saying, I think it's really funny. It's a good idea.
- 39:52Speaker 18: Bucky's loves to sue other companies, particularly those with animal mascots.
- 39:56Speaker 18: They filed over a dozen lawsuits over the years and
- 39:59Speaker 18: threatened bunts more and incredibly, to date, BUCkies is one
- 40:03Speaker 18: nearly all of the cases that is brought, usually because
- 40:06Speaker 18: other companies up to settle and redesign their logos or
- 40:09Speaker 18: just fold completely. And that is probably because most just
- 40:13Speaker 18: don't have the resources to fight a company this big.
- 40:16Speaker 18: But Bucket should be careful here because, as one league
- 40:18Speaker 18: experta said, the more you do this, the more you
- 40:21Speaker 18: might run into somebody who has the means or the
- 40:23Speaker 18: will to fight with you about it.
- 40:26Speaker 7: If that.
- 40:28Speaker 18: Is where we've come in because it turns out we
- 40:31Speaker 18: very much have the will to get into a fight
- 40:34Speaker 18: with Buckets. We also have to already have a rodent
- 40:38Speaker 18: mascot on hand. One, mister Nutter Butter's helpfully no stranger
- 40:42Speaker 18: to frivolous lessons. I'm so happy to announce that you
- 40:45Speaker 18: can now buy this image on a variety of products,
- 40:48Speaker 18: from tundlers to hats, two shirts, to.
- 40:51Speaker 2: Runsies to mugs. Yeah, so it's their mascot, Like they're
- 40:55Speaker 2: like the John Oliver guy's mascot with it just and
- 40:58Speaker 2: it looks like the BUCkies logo, and it says buck
- 41:00Speaker 2: Off Okay, and it's and it's on all this different
- 41:02Speaker 2: stuff and he's got a shop set.
- 41:04Speaker 18: Buy this image on a variety of products, from tunglers
- 41:07Speaker 18: to hats, two shirts to longsys to munds, to pajamas
- 41:12Speaker 18: to umbrellas, to stickers, to socks to.
- 41:14Speaker 2: Of course underwear.
- 41:16Speaker 18: You can find any or all of these items for
- 41:19Speaker 18: a limited time at buck dash off dot com, with
- 41:22Speaker 18: all profits going to Hunger Free America. So if any
- 41:26Speaker 18: crowning gas station chain out though, has an issue with
- 41:29Speaker 18: our new logo on products and wants to get lawyers involved,
- 41:32Speaker 18: and you know what, bring it to fuck off. If
- 41:36Speaker 18: you're doing so, you'd be directly taking food out of
- 41:39Speaker 18: hungry people's mouths. So at this point, BUCkies, I guess
- 41:44Speaker 18: the beaver Nucket is in your course.
- 41:46Speaker 2: The next move is not so funny, man, Dude, he
- 41:51Speaker 2: does these things more a lot like with like some
- 41:54Speaker 2: of the televangelists or whatever. He plays their own game
- 41:57Speaker 2: and he's not and he's not wrong about that.
- 41:59Speaker 8: That's what makes it fun. Like you said, it's not
- 42:01Speaker 8: just calling them out, it's putting your money where your
- 42:03Speaker 8: mouth is.
- 42:04Speaker 2: Like, uh, you know, BUCkies is great. I think it's
- 42:07Speaker 2: a cool place. I like BUCkies. I love the concept
- 42:10Speaker 2: of those super like Wally's same thing whatever, but like
- 42:14Speaker 2: Dolly's got Dolly Parton's got her own thing now whatever.
- 42:19Speaker 2: But like, yeah, when you just start filing lawsuits just
- 42:21Speaker 2: to intimidate or whatever and someone tells you to go,
- 42:24Speaker 2: you are you're eventually going to hit somebody that tells
- 42:26Speaker 2: you to go after yourself.
- 42:27Speaker 5: One of their pretty funnycent lawsuits, though, I thought was
- 42:29Speaker 5: spot on because it was a similar business, the very
- 42:33Speaker 5: similar logo, so I think.
- 42:34Speaker 7: They had a case there.
- 42:36Speaker 5: But like, oh, BUCkies you're being evil.
- 42:38Speaker 7: It was pretty cut and dry. Yeah.
- 42:41Speaker 2: Well, it's like the people that just need the idea
- 42:43Speaker 2: of the people just file like lawsuit after lawsuit after lawsuit.
- 42:46Speaker 8: You have a whole department looking for that stuff.
- 42:48Speaker 2: Yeah, and they say, eventually you're going to find somebody
- 42:50Speaker 2: like these people that go around town looking for you're
- 42:52Speaker 2: not even disabled, but you're looking for the small business
- 42:55Speaker 2: that doesn't have the rampant the coyah they file on
- 43:00Speaker 2: behalf of, but they don't give that money or anything
- 43:02Speaker 2: else that they trying to do. They're just they're just
- 43:04Speaker 2: doing it to be ish disturbers, you know. Yeah, pretty funny,
- 43:07Speaker 2: So to be an ish disturber. I appreciate. Thank you
- 43:09Speaker 2: John Oliver for a call. It's really funny.
- 43:11Speaker 8: These prices are in santyrazy.
- 43:15Speaker 7: Yeah. The Woody Show.
- 43:21Speaker 2: It's another new hour insensitivity training for a politically correct world. Woody,
- 43:27Speaker 2: Greg Menace, Gina Grand Yeah. Phones open eight seven seven
- 43:30Speaker 2: forty four. Woodie. You can send us a text over
- 43:33Speaker 2: to two two nine eighty seven. Today is a Gina's
- 43:38Speaker 2: husband's birthday. It is birthday. It's Andy's birthday, Andy's birthday.
- 43:43Speaker 2: Take a guest on this. The average age people stop
- 43:46Speaker 2: having annual birthday parties is twelfth, sixteen?
- 43:54Speaker 10: Say thirty ye, i'd say late twenties, probably thirty one,
- 44:00Speaker 10: thirty one, yeah, thirty one.
- 44:02Speaker 5: You're not fair, I know that much.
- 44:05Speaker 2: Well, I don't want a birthday party for myself.
- 44:08Speaker 8: You mean you don't want to throw yourself a party?
- 44:09Speaker 2: You don't want I don't want.
- 44:10Speaker 5: To party birthday. No, I'll milestone birthday and fortieth my.
- 44:16Speaker 2: Wife did that secretly, and yeah, and while it was
- 44:20Speaker 2: nice of her, but she ruined his birthday. Well, no,
- 44:23Speaker 2: I just don't. I don't want that. If you're always about, oh,
- 44:26Speaker 2: it's your birthday, you can do whatever you want. Why
- 44:27Speaker 2: is it that when I don't want to party, that's
- 44:29Speaker 2: not okay. But if somebody wants something ridiculous, you know
- 44:33Speaker 2: and over the top, like, well, that's perfectly finally it's
- 44:35Speaker 2: their birthday. Yeah, yeah, it's like it's it's all fine
- 44:38Speaker 2: as long as you agree with it. Sure, But if
- 44:41Speaker 2: the person just doesn't want to make a big deal,
- 44:42Speaker 2: you just want to go to a dinner and call
- 44:44Speaker 2: it a day, right, what's wrong with that? Nothing?
- 44:47Speaker 5: Nothing?
- 44:48Speaker 2: Apparently there is something wrong with that, because yeah, right,
- 44:52Speaker 2: well it's hard for you because you know, you have
- 44:54Speaker 2: kids and stuff, so you got to celebrate dad. And
- 44:57Speaker 2: well that's the yeah, you know, my wife, if my
- 45:00Speaker 2: wife wants, you know, the kids to be thinking about
- 45:04Speaker 2: somebody other than themselves and so acknowledge that kind of but.
- 45:08Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, but that doesn't mean there needs to be
- 45:11Speaker 8: like a clown and a mime.
- 45:13Speaker 2: Right, So what do you do? What do you do
- 45:15Speaker 2: for Andy?
- 45:16Speaker 1: Uh?
- 45:17Speaker 8: Actually, we haven't discussed it much. I got him some
- 45:20Speaker 8: nice gifts that typically yet some gifts. Yeah, I get
- 45:23Speaker 8: them gifts, and you know, we make cards, and you know,
- 45:25Speaker 8: we'll do something silly like make a big stupid sign
- 45:28Speaker 8: and with like you know, printer paper and tape it up.
- 45:30Speaker 8: You know, we we're we do.
- 45:31Speaker 2: We do a lot of diy silly stuff.
- 45:33Speaker 8: And then he gets to pick where we go to dinner,
- 45:35Speaker 8: and pretty much yet a little Facebook you know post,
- 45:39Speaker 8: you know, happy happy Birthday, and we all move on
- 45:42Speaker 8: with our lives, all right.
- 45:43Speaker 2: My thing one like what kind of stuff does he he?
- 45:46Speaker 2: This year?
- 45:46Speaker 8: He wants a stationary bike, So I got him one
- 45:51Speaker 8: because I'm a good wife. And he wanted some uh
- 45:54Speaker 8: you know, like sports stuff that I don't care about.
- 45:57Speaker 8: So I got on that and that's it, and I
- 45:59Speaker 8: got him a couple of cards. I try to get him.
- 46:01Speaker 8: I always somebody else started this with me a bunch
- 46:03Speaker 8: of years ago. So now I do it one like
- 46:06Speaker 8: serious card and one funny card so we can read
- 46:08Speaker 8: one of each.
- 46:09Speaker 2: Do that too. It's fun, right, it's fun.
- 46:11Speaker 5: And then you do it like a morning card and
- 46:13Speaker 5: a night card.
- 46:14Speaker 8: Well, his morning card was a sign I made with
- 46:16Speaker 8: Sharpie's before I came here.
- 46:18Speaker 15: It's not very.
- 46:19Speaker 2: Fancy, and he likes that.
- 46:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 46:21Speaker 8: We don't take I mean even our wedding like, we
- 46:23Speaker 8: don't take things that seriously. So and my thing is,
- 46:26Speaker 8: I never want to be in town on my birthday,
- 46:28Speaker 8: or at least I never did, because it's just I
- 46:30Speaker 8: don't know. I try to avoid the things that what
- 46:32Speaker 8: he tries to avoid, like surprise parties and stuff, which
- 46:35Speaker 8: is my nightmare. So I always plan my own birthday
- 46:38Speaker 8: because I'm like, hey, I found this cool airbnb. Let's
- 46:40Speaker 8: just not be here. But for him, he's a guy,
- 46:42Speaker 8: he's easy. A couple of presents, maybe an ice cream cake,
- 46:45Speaker 8: we move on.
- 46:45Speaker 2: Yeah, just go to dinner. Yeah, it's simple, yeah, easy. Yeah,
- 46:49Speaker 2: he gets to pick yeah, the whole big you know
- 46:52Speaker 2: hoopla thing. That's that's the part. It's like, ah, you
- 46:54Speaker 2: know what it is. It's weird for a guy who
- 46:57Speaker 2: does this for a living like that attention makes me uncomfortable.
- 47:01Speaker 2: I don't like I don't like receiving gifts. That makes
- 47:03Speaker 2: me uncomfortable because now I feel like, I, oh, you know,
- 47:07Speaker 2: to me, to me, it's like here, I gave you something,
- 47:10Speaker 2: you know, what are you gonna give me? But you
- 47:11Speaker 2: know nobody no, I know, I know. This is my
- 47:14Speaker 2: own psychosi. This is my own you know, craziness. But
- 47:18Speaker 2: it's why I don't enjoy it the way that other people.
- 47:21Speaker 8: Do, because you think it's transactional.
- 47:23Speaker 2: Yeah, some people are just takers. They'll take, take, take,
- 47:25Speaker 2: and not even think about it. Otherwise, this is like
- 47:29Speaker 2: the super Bowl for them, the opposite where I'm like,
- 47:31Speaker 2: uh oh, yeah, you know.
- 47:33Speaker 8: Now what Now I got to the letter's not balanced.
- 47:35Speaker 5: I get double stressed because I never know what to
- 47:38Speaker 5: give as a gift, Like Menace is so good at
- 47:40Speaker 5: being creative with gifts, and I never know what.
- 47:43Speaker 2: To be a good you have to be a good listener.
- 47:47Speaker 5: I should work on that too.
- 47:49Speaker 2: And I think I think most people they they are
- 47:52Speaker 2: not good gift givers, and so out of obligation they
- 47:55Speaker 2: go and they just find it something that you don't want.
- 47:59Speaker 2: It's wasted time, wasted money. The person gets and they go,
- 48:01Speaker 2: oh wow, oh cool, thanks you got to put on that,
- 48:04Speaker 2: you got you got to put in that show is
- 48:05Speaker 2: Oh this is great? Thanks?
- 48:07Speaker 7: Where can this right?
- 48:09Speaker 8: You don't like clutter.
- 48:12Speaker 2: Mental notes when somebody says they like something, just like
- 48:16Speaker 2: hold on to that.
- 48:16Speaker 8: That can bite you in the ass, though, because too
- 48:18Speaker 8: many people know. I love Dolly Parton and have since
- 48:22Speaker 8: high school, and now that she has like her face
- 48:25Speaker 8: on everything, I don't need any more T shirts and
- 48:28Speaker 8: more mugs please.
- 48:29Speaker 5: I almost got your Dolly Parton book.
- 48:31Speaker 15: I have all of them.
- 48:32Speaker 8: I don't need anymore.
- 48:33Speaker 15: You'll have a regifting box at home, Like if I
- 48:36Speaker 15: get a gift that I know I don't want, or
- 48:39Speaker 15: you know it's a nice gift that I don't need
- 48:41Speaker 15: to use, I'll put it in the closet and then
- 48:42Speaker 15: when I need a gift for someone, I go, I'm like,
- 48:44Speaker 15: do I already have something that's a great idea? But
- 48:46Speaker 15: then I forget who gave it to me, And then
- 48:48Speaker 15: I'm like, oh, crap, I can't give them back something
- 48:50Speaker 15: they gave.
- 48:50Speaker 8: Me a nightmare.
- 48:51Speaker 2: You know, it could be fun if you did like
- 48:53Speaker 2: a like an organized gift exchange, meaning like all the
- 48:57Speaker 2: gifts that you've gotten that you don't want, like you
- 48:59Speaker 2: kind of keep it an you get like stashed in
- 49:00Speaker 2: a closet somewhere, and then like you know, once a year,
- 49:03Speaker 2: you and your friends all meet up and you bring
- 49:05Speaker 2: all the crap that you've gotten from other people or
- 49:07Speaker 2: other things that you don't want, and you go, hey, uh,
- 49:10Speaker 2: i'd love to have that, and they go, what do
- 49:12Speaker 2: you want from like my stash and they'll say nothing,
- 49:15Speaker 2: or here, just take this and you can just give
- 49:17Speaker 2: it to a friend. A regifting party kind.
- 49:20Speaker 15: Of whimsical, but I like a lot.
- 49:24Speaker 2: It's almost it's almost like a garage sale, right where
- 49:27Speaker 2: everybody brings their crap, you know, and people like it,
- 49:31Speaker 2: and maybe each person does little presentation on what their
- 49:34Speaker 2: offerings are, you know, for the group, and you can
- 49:37Speaker 2: kind of like sell it to everybody and then uh
- 49:40Speaker 2: and then after that, uh, you know, everybody can just
- 49:43Speaker 2: down a mingle, you pour your your drinks or whatever,
- 49:45Speaker 2: and everybody can just do the exchanges.
- 49:47Speaker 5: That's a lot of candles coffee.
- 49:51Speaker 10: I feel like I never would have that issue because
- 49:53Speaker 10: I feel like I never get gifts other than like
- 49:56Speaker 10: maybe Borr and Tyler will bring me something random once
- 49:59Speaker 10: in a while. But I'll say that like like I'm
- 50:02Speaker 10: just thinking about it right now in this segment, I'm like,
- 50:03Speaker 10: I'm always getting my family gifts.
- 50:05Speaker 2: They never give me a ever.
- 50:08Speaker 5: Does your mom give you stuff?
- 50:09Speaker 2: No, not a lot of the time, I think, But
- 50:12Speaker 2: I mean that I love giving gifts, so it doesn't matter.
- 50:15Speaker 2: I mean, that's that's the joy of it for me.
- 50:17Speaker 2: It's just like hunting and finding something that I'm like, oh,
- 50:20Speaker 2: they're they're really gonna like that. We'll see, I think,
- 50:22Speaker 2: because I know for me, my family and stuff will
- 50:25Speaker 2: tell me like, well, a lot of times, if there's
- 50:27Speaker 2: something you want, you've already gotten, you would you wouldn't
- 50:29Speaker 2: got yeah, you would have purchased it already. Yeah, And
- 50:32Speaker 2: so you know, the things that maybe you haven't gotten
- 50:34Speaker 2: yet are a little lot of our arrange for Yeah,
- 50:37Speaker 2: you know that's.
- 50:39Speaker 7: True.
- 50:40Speaker 5: You know.
- 50:41Speaker 8: Oh, but Greg our biggest problem is he has this
- 50:43Speaker 8: fantasy that's not gonna come true, that he's gonna put
- 50:46Speaker 8: a stationary bike in the living room. Oh god, I said,
- 50:52Speaker 8: that's adorable.
- 50:53Speaker 2: It's going in the garage.
- 50:54Speaker 7: In the room.
- 50:55Speaker 2: Do you imagine? That's what he said. Thank you put
- 50:59Speaker 2: a TV in the That's what I said.
- 51:01Speaker 7: Here you go.
- 51:01Speaker 8: Yeah you heard of the box fan. You'll be finding there.
- 51:06Speaker 2: Well, happy birthday and thank you. I'll tell you. Oh,
- 51:09Speaker 2: it's so cute.
- 51:09Speaker 7: I need it.
- 51:10Speaker 2: I gotta have it. And ladies and gentlemen, please welcome
- 51:15Speaker 2: into the studio. Our friend filmmaker. He's a writer, he
- 51:21Speaker 2: is a podcaster, he is a nerd enthusiast. He's just
- 51:26Speaker 2: an all around great guy. Kevin Smith.
- 51:30Speaker 1: Did that was just not existing until I was welcomed
- 51:33Speaker 1: on to the show. It's always an awkward thing when
- 51:35Speaker 1: you come in like two or three minutes before we
- 51:38Speaker 1: go on air, because you want to talk, but it's like,
- 51:40Speaker 1: don't you come into a library. It's very shushy in here. Yeah,
- 51:47Speaker 1: I'll honor the silence. And now I'm so happy to.
- 51:50Speaker 2: How is everybody we're doing?
- 51:53Speaker 1: I told the kids the moment I walked in the room,
- 51:54Speaker 1: and as I burst into the room, I was reading
- 51:56Speaker 1: on social media. I had no idea that Cheeto's story
- 51:59Speaker 1: is not real about the guy who invented the flame
- 52:01Speaker 1: and hot Cheetah.
- 52:01Speaker 10: Yeah, it's very heavily debated on the story. When what's
- 52:05Speaker 10: heavily debated if it's true or not.
- 52:07Speaker 8: Yeah, this janitor came up with the hot cheating but it.
- 52:12Speaker 2: Was from the beginning that was being debated.
- 52:14Speaker 1: But now we know I wasting a thing where they
- 52:17Speaker 1: were like, this is patently untrue.
- 52:19Speaker 8: Yeah, like the La Times.
- 52:22Speaker 2: Investigated.
- 52:23Speaker 7: Yea, but how does that Like so many people got
- 52:26Speaker 7: to play along. Okay, So that's just to recap for
- 52:28Speaker 7: people jump in day one and be like.
- 52:30Speaker 2: Yeah, so flaming hot Cheetos. The story was there was
- 52:33Speaker 2: a guy who at one point was a janitor. Yeah
- 52:36Speaker 2: at okay, and uh, he created or he came up
- 52:42Speaker 2: with the original idea was his for the flame and hot.
- 52:45Speaker 1: To get home, took cheeto home, dusted it with some
- 52:48Speaker 1: spices that you would put on like Mexican street corn,
- 52:51Speaker 1: and he said, this is great.
- 52:52Speaker 2: M hmm.
- 52:52Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 52:53Speaker 8: And the reason, allegedly one of the reasons they never
- 52:56Speaker 8: debated it is because he did become a marketing executive,
- 52:59Speaker 8: but he helped break into the Hispanic market a lot
- 53:04Speaker 8: and you know, he was like really big for their
- 53:06Speaker 8: public relations.
- 53:06Speaker 2: They don't want to trying to make a movie about
- 53:09Speaker 2: this guy. They made a movie. They made a movie,
- 53:12Speaker 2: and that was outrage.
- 53:12Speaker 7: I was like, they made a movie. I could as
- 53:14Speaker 7: if a movie makes things real. I know, I work
- 53:19Speaker 7: in that business. I'm like, but it's a foundation.
- 53:23Speaker 2: Based on a rumor. Yeah, they did flash it on
- 53:26Speaker 2: the screen before the movie got underwave.
- 53:27Speaker 10: Loosely based they they acknowledged, like there's two different storylines
- 53:32Speaker 10: in the movie. They say, oh, it came the flavoring
- 53:36Speaker 10: came up in some other department and his department. So
- 53:38Speaker 10: they do acknowledge the you know, back and forth over
- 53:42Speaker 10: or the origin of the chip came from everything.
- 53:46Speaker 8: Yeah, such a great story.
- 53:51Speaker 7: And I don't know. Yeah man, yea.
- 53:53Speaker 2: Well, Kevin Smith is here. He's got a birthday coming up,
- 53:56Speaker 2: you guys, a.
- 53:59Speaker 7: Birth day fifty six soon. Yeah, and there double Nicchols.
- 54:03Speaker 2: There's a show this Sunday at eight pm at the
- 54:06Speaker 2: Starlight Cabaret and Studio City. So it's comedy, it's music.
- 54:10Speaker 2: Your kids band's.
- 54:11Speaker 1: Playing yet my kids band's going to play afterwards, yeah Cinnamon.
- 54:14Speaker 2: Yeah, and yeah, you get to watch Kevin age right
- 54:17Speaker 2: before your eyes.
- 54:19Speaker 1: If you've never seen that sort of thing, watch a
- 54:21Speaker 1: man go from fifty five to fifty six. Watch irrelevancy
- 54:25Speaker 1: free fish as somebody's like, what fifty six?
- 54:28Speaker 7: I could care less. He's outside the demographic. Now, I
- 54:30Speaker 7: mean you officially leave a demographic.
- 54:33Speaker 2: You say that.
- 54:33Speaker 10: But your last event, the Weeed event in the comic
- 54:37Speaker 10: book they put out, it was packed.
- 54:38Speaker 7: Man, I stopped. I sweet for going. Yeah, you know, honestly,
- 54:41Speaker 7: there's some days where I'm like, I'm doing pretty good
- 54:43Speaker 7: at being Kevin Smith.
- 54:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:44Speaker 1: I read an article this morning on there's a comedy
- 54:49Speaker 1: fee tracker website. Somebody developed a website that tells you
- 54:55Speaker 1: what the headliner makes and what the opener.
- 54:59Speaker 7: Man, it's predicated on.
- 55:01Speaker 1: You can't get the sort of info from like the
- 55:03Speaker 1: improv or you know, one of the comedy clubs.
- 55:05Speaker 7: But when people play at public venues, you know.
- 55:08Speaker 1: Like in a city, when it's like the city venue. Yeah,
- 55:13Speaker 1: that's all freedom of information, public information. You can get
- 55:16Speaker 1: that info. So some dude built this website where he
- 55:20Speaker 1: lists what the comedians get paid per night and what
- 55:22Speaker 1: their openers get paid per night, and the massive discrepancy.
- 55:26Speaker 7: Of course, between the two.
- 55:28Speaker 2: But a lot of times, like it's not massive, Like
- 55:30Speaker 2: you know, we all understand, you're not going to go
- 55:32Speaker 2: see Dave Chappelle, you know, like just so they can
- 55:35Speaker 2: see the opening guy. You know what I mean, they're
- 55:37Speaker 2: not going to pay for it. That they're they're not
- 55:38Speaker 2: They're they're there for Dave.
- 55:39Speaker 7: Shot that Dave Chapelle has an opener.
- 55:40Speaker 1: I mean that's not a criticism, but like I'm shocked
- 55:43Speaker 1: when anybody has an opener, to be honest with you,
- 55:44Speaker 1: It's like to me, when I go on stage, I
- 55:47Speaker 1: wouldn't want somebody going before me.
- 55:48Speaker 7: What if they're funnier.
- 55:51Speaker 1: An open every show and I'm like nuts, Like you
- 55:53Speaker 1: got to follow somebody who truly does this for a lot.
- 55:56Speaker 10: I know some comics they pick people that are like
- 55:59Speaker 10: notoriously funnier than them for that reason.
- 56:02Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, but.
- 56:06Speaker 1: When you get up there, like why we should through that?
- 56:08Speaker 1: But the the like I like, I just did. We
- 56:11Speaker 1: did a weekend of shows at com Con. I was
- 56:14Speaker 1: a comic Con, and so I did stuff at Comic Con.
- 56:17Speaker 1: At night, I did shows at the American Comedy Club
- 56:19Speaker 1: first with Mark Banarma did Fat Man Beyond the Me
- 56:23Speaker 1: and Jay did two shows on Friday night, and then
- 56:25Speaker 1: me and Ralph Garman did Hollywood babyl on Saturday.
- 56:28Speaker 7: And I walked away with like a pretty decent check
- 56:31Speaker 7: where I was like, would.
- 56:34Speaker 2: Yeah, then you read the article I know, comparisons.
- 56:37Speaker 1: The Thief of Joy, but like they dropped some figures
- 56:40Speaker 1: for like like they were like THEO.
- 56:42Speaker 7: Vom makes almost a quarter a show.
- 56:44Speaker 2: Yeah, a quarter of show.
- 56:46Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 56:47Speaker 2: I saw a big rite up about you know.
- 56:49Speaker 7: Quarter million. I don't know if I was clear about that.
- 56:54Speaker 2: I'm sure it broke.
- 56:54Speaker 1: The radio, and I'm not saying he don't deserve it,
- 56:56Speaker 1: but like, good lord, every time I start feeling like
- 57:00Speaker 1: doing pretty good, then I see that.
- 57:02Speaker 7: And I'm like, I'm I'm slacking.
- 57:06Speaker 2: I saw an article of the math of these shows,
- 57:09Speaker 2: Like if somebody plays a theater, there's x number of tickets,
- 57:13Speaker 2: they're one hundred dollars each. Here's the total take that is,
- 57:16Speaker 2: you know, for whatever percent of the total revenue. Then
- 57:19Speaker 2: there's like a sponsorship for someone to be sponsoring the show,
- 57:22Speaker 2: some alcohol brand or something whatever, and then and then
- 57:25Speaker 2: and then there's that, and then there's a couple other things,
- 57:28Speaker 2: like they don't even figure into like you know, the
- 57:30Speaker 2: the bar, the merchandise and things like that when they're
- 57:32Speaker 2: doing the business of it, right, and then you have
- 57:35Speaker 2: the cost. So out of say like one point four
- 57:39Speaker 2: million that was brought in, five hundred thousand goes to
- 57:44Speaker 2: the band or the talent, right, and they go, well,
- 57:47Speaker 2: that makes sense. The whole reason this place is sold
- 57:49Speaker 2: out and it's you know, packed like this is because
- 57:51Speaker 2: of this pres that makes itse Then you have the production,
- 57:54Speaker 2: the security, all these other things. And so what's the
- 57:55Speaker 2: total profit for a venue after all those things are done.
- 57:58Speaker 2: It's like a you know, two hundred and fifty thousand, Like, hey,
- 58:01Speaker 2: it's two hundred and fifty thousand dollars for one night,
- 58:04Speaker 2: one hour, you know, yeah.
- 58:06Speaker 7: That includes all their salaries and stuff.
- 58:08Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, they broke it off. I thought it was
- 58:09Speaker 2: pretty nownce.
- 58:10Speaker 1: Break it down. Imagine it's not a band. Imagine it's
- 58:12Speaker 1: one person. So the overhead is.
- 58:14Speaker 2: Incredibly But also imagine that's why these people who you
- 58:17Speaker 2: know front these days, like imagine it doesn't sell out.
- 58:20Speaker 2: You've heard about that blue dot fever. Oh yeah yeah.
- 58:24Speaker 2: So it's like they're figuring, Okay, all their math is
- 58:27Speaker 2: predicated on you know, we're gonna sell X number of tickets,
- 58:29Speaker 2: you know, but when the whole place on the map
- 58:31Speaker 2: on the ticket screen looks blue, you know, like you
- 58:34Speaker 2: got to be crapping blood.
- 58:35Speaker 8: I have to cancel due to exhaustion.
- 58:37Speaker 2: Dude. Every event we do, we have blue dot fever. Yeah,
- 58:40Speaker 2: but I guess, well, yeah, we always feel like fear fear. Yeah,
- 58:44Speaker 2: it always ends up being.
- 58:45Speaker 1: Okay, but you don't have to face blue dot fever.
- 58:48Speaker 1: But when you have a two hundred and fifty three
- 58:50Speaker 1: hundred seater and.
- 58:51Speaker 7: You have blue dot fever, that's when you're like certain drain.
- 58:54Speaker 2: But I'm sure you had that same even, you know. Okay,
- 58:57Speaker 2: So what.
- 58:58Speaker 7: Is honestly like what I do for a living?
- 59:00Speaker 1: Like I used to be a filmmaker, but it's like,
- 59:02Speaker 1: at the end of the day, it's like I have
- 59:04Speaker 1: to make sure somebody cares about me. I have to
- 59:06Speaker 1: ensure my relevancy in order to continue working and stuff.
- 59:09Speaker 1: So whether it's in a movie theater, whether it's in
- 59:11Speaker 1: a comedy club, whether it's for a streaming thing or
- 59:14Speaker 1: a TV show, putting asses and cease making sure people
- 59:18Speaker 1: deliver a little time to whatever it is I'm doing,
- 59:20Speaker 1: it's my whole raising day. Trock only gets harder as
- 59:23Speaker 1: you get older.
- 59:23Speaker 2: Yeah, when you start comparing yourself, you start looking at
- 59:26Speaker 2: the you know, THEO Vonn's making two hundred and fifty thousand,
- 59:28Speaker 2: But I'm sure whatever you got without saying the number,
- 59:31Speaker 2: very happy. I'm sure it's great. And you know that,
- 59:34Speaker 2: you go. We have a thought like that every once
- 59:38Speaker 2: in a while. I know Greg and I have talked
- 59:39Speaker 2: about it, where like we're doing something really dumb and silly,
- 59:42Speaker 2: like we're we're sitting around joking around the people maybe
- 59:44Speaker 2: on a Friday or Saturday night do with their friends. Yeah,
- 59:46Speaker 2: talking about this is our job and we're getting paid
- 59:49Speaker 2: to do that. And you have that, you have that
- 59:51Speaker 2: realization like wow, this is this is pretty cool. Like
- 59:54Speaker 2: that moment we're doing doing okay, Yeah, yeah, doing okay.
- 59:58Speaker 7: Well.
- 59:58Speaker 2: Kevin Smith this year he's starting fifty six years old. Wow,
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: and the guy is just out there grinding, he's trying
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: to catch up the THEO Vonni.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: That was the only name that believe me, Chelle was
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: on that Seinfeld was on that list. I try to
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: get it is like, you know, happened in my lifetime.
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying like those other guys were
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: off to the races before I really got started instead, well,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: Seinfeld for sure, But THEO happened like while I.
- 1:00:25Speaker 7: Was working on a comic.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: Sure, Yeah, like all of a sudden, it's like, oh
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: my god, another and and that's been happening a lot
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: over the last ten years.
- 1:00:31Speaker 7: And I guess that just happens, like like at.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: One point in nineteen ninety four, I was somebody's new
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: like thing, of course, and you just everyone every generation
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: gets its new thing. I guess this is me just
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: dealing with the fact that it's gonna end, isn't it.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: You know how many people having this room? There's like
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: nineteen people on this show. Didn't you add a twentieth?
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: And like I'll do the movie beat and.
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: Stuff like that Smith for the movie. Let me tell
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: you what you sound like. You sound like a fifty
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: year old guy. He's not very reflective, Yeah, I think,
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: because I think everybody starts doing that.
- 1:01:04Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: If you want to see this live on stage, kids,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: come by the Starlight Caparet Sunday night at eight pm
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: next to the hand Job car wash.
- 1:01:12Speaker 7: You know, do you big hand on ventur Do.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: You feel fifty six? Never because I'm turning fifty this year.
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: I don't feel like I'm fifty fifty. Yeah, I'll be
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: fifty nine.
- 1:01:23Speaker 7: Do you have anything about that? Is there anything?
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: No other than it just sounds it sounds weird because fifty.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: I don't know fifty sounds weird. It doesn't feel.
- 1:01:30Speaker 8: Weird because our parents were old when.
- 1:01:32Speaker 7: They were fifty that my mom was old at thirty five.
- 1:01:36Speaker 7: When I was a kid, I was like, this is
- 1:01:37Speaker 7: what thirty five looks like.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: Yeah, my grandmother was completely gray at fifty. Oh same,
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: so like she was always an old woman and.
- 1:01:46Speaker 8: In a pants suit. Like, so we're very different. Well,
- 1:01:49Speaker 8: mom was in the house, coach, Oh gotcha, the same thing.
- 1:01:51Speaker 8: Also the house coming.
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: We always talk about high school year books in the seventies.
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: Why did everybody look forty?
- 1:01:57Speaker 15: Right?
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: Yeah, it really is. It looks like.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: Their fathers and mothers and stuff. And now it's like
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: my I look at my beard every morning.
- 1:02:05Speaker 15: Man.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: It's just the slow gentrification as the whites move in
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: and I go in with the I'm like, what's that
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: thing mister Miagi used to do with.
- 1:02:16Speaker 7: That is my zen?
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: I go in with the mirror, into the mirror with
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: a little scissor and I personally try to take each
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: white out.
- 1:02:23Speaker 7: Bang bang bang, but they just keep coming.
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: Man.
- 1:02:26Speaker 7: You can't stop the whites and bring their friends coming.
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: From your shop.
- 1:02:30Speaker 5: Yeah, I was looking at the mirror. I had a
- 1:02:32Speaker 5: great chest hair for the first hell like facial hair
- 1:02:37Speaker 5: always great, but when it reaches the rest of your body, yeah,

- 1:03:12Speaker 4: Rich soe Sports with the gee jeffuse.
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: Yeah, Kevin Smith is here in the studio. Are you
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: I know you like hockey, right I'm or? Is it
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: just the hockey jersey? I wore a hockey jersey.
- 1:03:27Speaker 7: Well, I was noticing that not only but the matching
- 1:03:29Speaker 7: habit is.
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: Yeah right, Well, I had to court in.
- 1:03:32Speaker 7: Are you our Pittsburgh kid?
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: Yeah, from from where I was born in Pittsburgh and
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: then moved to New Jersey and then Pittsburgh, Uh, South Hills,
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: Mount Lebanon.
- 1:03:43Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm very.
- 1:03:44Speaker 7: Familiar with Pittsburgh.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Your girlfriend, Yeah, my girlfriend high school girlfriend went to
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: a Carnegie Moone.
- 1:03:49Speaker 7: Okay, so I would go out there all the time
- 1:03:51Speaker 7: in the late eighties.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: And then we shot Dogma there, right, shot Zach and
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: Mary there.
- 1:03:58Speaker 7: So I know Squirrel Hill.
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it gets a bad rap, but it's a
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: it's a cool time until people go there. I think
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: people have an idea what it is until they go.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: But also Gotham City in the Dark, Knight Rock. Yeah,
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: all right, so what you were born there and then.
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: You moved to Jersey, Yeah, and then until I went
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: to throughout high school.
- 1:04:17Speaker 7: You have that voice for radio?
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: Oh yes, yes, this voice for radio.
- 1:04:21Speaker 7: Isn't it great?
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: It cuts through you know, it's worked out, it's worked out. Yeah,
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: besides hockey and standing bro, besides hockey, take a morement
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: to appreciate that.
- 1:04:34Speaker 7: Aren't many people doing what you're doing.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true.
- 1:04:37Speaker 7: This show is unique. And I travel.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: I'm always at places and doing shows and whatnot. It's
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: that that world is going away. Yeah, so you guys
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: have precious real estate here, and there's a reason for it.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: People like to like just as you said, like we're
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: sitting around talking to my friends. Like that's what people
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: want to hear, especially in an increasingly more isolated world.
- 1:04:57Speaker 7: Yeah, where everybody's on loan, on a phone and whatnot.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: Just hearing socialization, hearing people interact with one another. Think
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: about this, It's an entire generation of kids who don't
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: know how to do exactly what you do in this room.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: So I'm not saying every kid tunes in, but when
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: kids tune in, they're literally learning to do a thing
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: that they were never taught to do because of COVID,
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: because they live with their face and the screen.
- 1:05:18Speaker 7: Yeah, the last bastion of civilization. Kids outside of this
- 1:05:22Speaker 7: room just still be a nightmare.
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: Yeah. Things just change all the time, you know what
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: I mean. So it's like while everything was over AM
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: and FM, you know, radio waves for the longest time,
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: now it's you know, the digital stuff and the podcast
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: and all the video stuff and stuff that we're doing. So,
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: you know, while the job is exactly the same, how
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: it gets delivered changes the same way. You're still using
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: transportation to get from one place to another, but instead
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: of you know, hailing a cab, now you're ordering it
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: on your phone.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: Yep.
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: It's the same kind of thing where the delivery of
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: things is changing. But this podcasting and the video podcasting,
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: all that kind of stuff. Man, it's as big as
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: it's every bigger. Yeah, and you know, you know you
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: were on the ground horrible podcasting.
- 1:06:01Speaker 7: I was on the ground floor and I just didn't like.
- 1:06:04Speaker 7: For me, I didn't think it was a revolution. I
- 1:06:06Speaker 7: was like, oh, this is just great. I pushed it
- 1:06:08Speaker 7: to everybody.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: I was like, oh my god, you should all start
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: a podcast because there are no gatekeepers and stuff now
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: there are.
- 1:06:13Speaker 7: Yeah, time to get in was back.
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: Then, that's true, but now it is the medium.
- 1:06:19Speaker 7: You know, it used to be outside the medium.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: I remember we started Hollywood Babylon because Ralph was a
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: k Rock and the folks at k Rock we've tried
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: to do it a Saturday show called show Bisbee, and
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: we shot a pilot and like recorder show, and then
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: his bosses were like, nobody wants.
- 1:06:33Speaker 7: To listen to people talk on the radio.
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: Literally, that was a quote that, so we started doing
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: it as a podcast and now.
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: It worked out. Yeah. Well it's Wednesday morning. It is
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: seven forty four. Whether you like sports or not. Jeff's
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: got the update for us. All right, rough night for
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: our baseball teams. Last night, we'll start with to Dodgers.
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: Back and forth game with the Mariners.
- 1:06:51Speaker 13: Good game, man, Dodgers ended up losing those seven to six,
- 1:06:54Speaker 13: eight men left on base base running errors. Tighten it
- 1:06:57Speaker 13: up tonight, Dodgers. All right, it's Edwin Diaz bobblehead night
- 1:06:59Speaker 13: tonight as well, so make sure you get there early
- 1:07:01Speaker 13: on to the Angels. Another late inning falloff for the Angels.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: Smash pace here, Ashtros take the league three to two.
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: Your god Albarez continues of MVP season ashow.
- 1:07:13Speaker 7: For the lead of the night.
- 1:07:15Speaker 13: Nothing going right for the Halos, they lost three to two.
- 1:07:17Speaker 13: Same two teams tonight at the Big a WNBA. Sparks
- 1:07:19Speaker 13: lost last night to the Liberty And where it is
- 1:07:21Speaker 13: my future baby Mama Kelsey Plumb isn't planning on staying
- 1:07:24Speaker 13: with the team after her contract is up, which is
- 1:07:27Speaker 13: a bummer. MLS All Star Game is tonight and that's
- 1:07:30Speaker 13: a quick sports, right, here on the Woodie Show.
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: All right, Jeff gj Jeff G. Mass all right, So
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: Kevin Smith is here celebrating his fifty sixth the birthday
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: at the Starlight Cabaret in Studio City this Sunday, eight pm.
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: It's out of comedy, there's music. This podcast dot com
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: is the website or the Starlight Cabaret dot com?
- 1:07:58Speaker 7: Yeah, you Mitch, bobble Head night at the star like
- 1:08:02Speaker 7: care right? Get No, I don't.
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: Know, but I had to ask, is there like is
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: every night at a sporting event a bobble head night?
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: Like is there ever a night with like we're not
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: giving away anything that see the game?
- 1:08:15Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 1:08:16Speaker 13: I would say like seventy five percent of the Dodgers
- 1:08:18Speaker 13: Knights are some sort of giveaway.
- 1:08:20Speaker 7: Very insensive oriented. Yeah, Like you.
- 1:08:22Speaker 10: Know clear pastic bag night. That's a big thing, right
- 1:08:26Speaker 10: that packs?
- 1:08:27Speaker 7: Yeah, what is clear plastic bag?
- 1:08:30Speaker 12: So you have to.
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: Go to you have to have a clear bag? Yeah,
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: if you can't bring it. You can't bring a bag
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: that you can't see into into a venue a lot.
- 1:08:40Speaker 7: Now like plastic bag are they giving away?
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: But that's the one that like you can bring a
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: non clear past That's how we're celebrating.
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: They'll give you one with like a logo on it. Yeah,
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: So that way, the next time you come to the game,
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: you can use that bag with your team's logo on
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: it and bring all your crap.
- 1:08:56Speaker 7: I mean they're feeding many birds with one seed. Yeah.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: Yeah, they are sounds like they got they got they
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: know how to squeeze a nickel out of that sports game.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: Theyre just to that now.
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: I mean, you know, hey, what what do adults love
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: more than anything these days? Toys?
- 1:09:12Speaker 5: Toys?
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: You're just a comic con. Let me ask you this.
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: I saw on your social medium because you hosted the
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: panel or whatever, And so was this your first time
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: ever meeting Rick Moranis it was as cool.
- 1:09:25Speaker 7: As he seems, super sweet.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: I was hoping, like, he's going to be better than
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: all of us.
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: You don't want to meet you don't want to meet
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: your heroes, or you don't want to meet somebody you
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: already have a really positive, you know, vibe on, because
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: they can only disappoint you.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: But also I was in an environment where like you'd
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: have to be a real ah to be like, hey, man,
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: go to hell.
- 1:09:49Speaker 7: You know what I'm saying. Selling a movie at comic
- 1:09:52Speaker 7: con and stuff like.
- 1:09:53Speaker 8: That, so notoriously one of the nicest guys.
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: Has been I mean, like, this is a guy who
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: I didn't think I ever meet because he's been retired
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: for a red hot minute, Like he stepped away from
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: the business to go live a real life and raise
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: his kids and stuff. But he fueled my childhood and
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: built the tracks upon which I later ran my trains
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: in terms of comedy and stuff like that.
- 1:10:15Speaker 7: So I'm up.
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: I was a massive Bob and Doug McKenzie fan, so
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: I never would have gotten to Jane and Solid Bob
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: about Bob and Doug, so meeting him was a cool thing.
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: And they had me to host the Spaceball's panel, and
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: Rick is in the movie and Spaceball's the new one.
- 1:10:29Speaker 7: It's called Did you.
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: See the movie?
- 1:10:31Speaker 7: No, it's not done yet. It showed us a clip.
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: Though, Yeah, I didn't know because you were hosting it.
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: If they kind of showed you some stuff, they're not
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: even done beforehand.
- 1:10:38Speaker 7: I believe me, they're not.
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: They're so not done that I was like, maybe they'll
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: put me in it.
- 1:10:44Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: I was pretty good on the panel, but it's it
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: looks funny exactly.
- 1:10:48Speaker 7: The clip they ran was really great. But he came
- 1:10:51Speaker 7: out of retirement.
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: This is a dude who hasn't been doing it for
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: a long long time, and he had a very funny
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: line up there. He's like everybody thought I was retired.
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: I was just negotiating, but meeting him was dope.
- 1:11:02Speaker 7: Man. I would like. We sat down and did the
- 1:11:05Speaker 7: kind of.
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: This is how the panel's going to lay out, this
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: is where everybody sits as you call out and stuff
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: like that, and then I went and smoked a joint
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: and then I came back in and that made me
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: chill enough to kind of go up to Rick and
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: I was like, hey.
- 1:11:16Speaker 7: Man, can I take a picture with you? And he
- 1:11:18Speaker 7: was like, oh god, yeah.
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: And he stood up and we took a picture, and
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: I was glad I took the picture first because I
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: wasn't sure if I cry, you know what I'm saying.
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: If I started like talking to him and started weeping,
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: then I'd never get the picture. But like, this was
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: a huge thing, like this guy, like I remember my
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: fandom for Bob and Doug mackenzie, and I modeled Jay
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: and Bob on that on you know, that's similar aesthetic sensibility,
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: you know, cheech.
- 1:11:47Speaker 7: A genre in there.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: Of course i'ving costilla, but it has a lot to
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: do with Bob and Doug. So meeting him was a
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: cool thing. So after we took the picture, I told
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: him I was like, hey, man, so i play a
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: character called Silent Bob and I'm stand next to a
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: guy called Jay in movies for the last thirty years.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: And that only happened because, like, I was a massive
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: fan of Strange Crew, and he goes, oh, Bob, Doug aye, yeah,
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying.
- 1:12:13Speaker 7: I even asked for it, give me a ry.
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: So he was wonderfully, absolutely delivered, and on stage he
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: was great. The moment highlight of Comic Con for me,
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: And mind you, I had my own hall Ah panel
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: and stuff with like five thousand people there and stuff,
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: and I had comedy shows that were sold out all weekend.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: But my highlight was when he came into hall H.
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: Like we brought up the cast and the crew of
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: Spaceballs and then you know, I was like, and Rick
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: moranis and then he didn't come out, and everybody's like,
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: where's Rick, And so we like combed the audience and
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: come to the audience and there's spaceballs, the big combs
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: and pigs. And then they had three dark helmets and
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: one was a kid, one was another dude, and the
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: third one was him. And once he lifted the mask,
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: they had him on camera on the big green like
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: the place went nuts.
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: Once he came on stage, the place gave him a
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: standing ovation. And he hadn't been to comic con ever.
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: And this is a guy who's in the DNA of
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: comic con, like Lewis Tully from Ghostbuster. Yeah, the cymo
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: or crawlborne from from Little Shop of Horrors, the Worst
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: Father who ever.
- 1:13:23Speaker 7: Lived in Honey, I shrunk the kid, right, you know, like.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: He's he's been in the geek culture for a long
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: time and even though he hasn't been working for decades now,
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: those movies have still been enjoyed by generation. So he
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: hit that stage, man, and it was a thunderous wave
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: of affection. Sixty five hundred is what that place seats,
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: and I believe they were at max capacity. It was
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: Friday panel. It was pretty impressive. Usually the Saturdays are
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: max capacity, like the Marvel panel. They had to turn
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: people away and people who had wristbands didn't even get in,
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: so so many people wanted to be there. I had
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: to follow the Marvel panel, which is like following John Holmes.
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: You know, you hear a hot.
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: Dog in the hallway after that for having But there
- 1:14:06Speaker 3: they were on Friday, like packed and sixty five hundred
- 1:14:10Speaker 3: people standing up and applauding and focusing.
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: All of their affection at this one person on stage.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: It was just a beautiful moment. And it's not like
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: the dude had never been on in front of an
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: audience before. He comes from Second City, so he's used
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: to be in front of people. And it's not like
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: the dude couldn't conceive of Amazon saying they're going to
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: be sixty five hundred people in that room. I don't
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: think he was prepared for everybody to be like, we've
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: missed you, man, and just give him that moment.
- 1:14:37Speaker 7: It was beautiful, Like.
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: It's really glad to hear he's a really cool guy.
- 1:14:40Speaker 7: I'm such a guyart man, because.
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: You want to hear that, right, you want to hear
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: that Rick moranis is a cool dude.
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: Very he turns out to be very cool dude, very sweet,
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: and very like he was not He wasn't expecting it,
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: but I remember talking to Amazon people, like a week
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: before going, we better build some time in the schedule
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: because everything is like you know, timed within forty five
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: men's and fifteen minutes for audience cune and I was like,
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: when he comes on stage, though, these people aren't seen
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: this guy in a dog's age, like they are going
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: to be all over them and stuff, and they were like, yeah, yeah,
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: you're right, and it did. It went beyond what I imagine.
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: So besides that, like do you walk the floor at all?
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: You get to see anything on the.
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: Floor twice this year because I went to a activation
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: for Funko. They did this pop Mystery thing and that
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: that was on Wednesday preview night, which was packed, like
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: already it just Wednesday preview night looked like Saturday. Then
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: I went to the floor was a Saturday afternoon to
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: the Marvel booth and I got the comic that came out,
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: Jay's a Future Past. So they have a bunch of
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: cos players at the booth, so they tried to reenact
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: the cover of the comic with me and the cos
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: players and stuff.
- 1:15:48Speaker 7: So that was kind of sweet.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: So I saw the floor then as well, and the
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: only way I could get on the floor and this
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: ain't bragging and this isn't even choice. They won't let
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: me attempt the floor without six, which is like, honestly,
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: that makes sense, but it's more showy than anything else.
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: And it's like I get a few minutes because people
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: are like, oh, he's pretty good Kevin Smith cos player. Yeah,
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: because I'm wearing the whole outfit and they're like, wait,
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: that is him.
- 1:16:15Speaker 7: And by the time, and I moved pretty fast for
- 1:16:17Speaker 7: a dude who's thick with two seas.
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: So at the end of the day, I can move
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: around faster without security than with security and get things
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: done quicker, I feel.
- 1:16:27Speaker 8: And then you hear people I'm sure be like, oh
- 1:16:29Speaker 8: he's such a.
- 1:16:30Speaker 19: Doude, she needs security, Like that was my idea, but.
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: I hate the idea because they'll go excuse me, and
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: they push people aside, and it's like unnecessary.
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: So as a fan, because you like all this stuff,
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: like Comic Con is your you know, Christmas kind of thing,
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: so of all this stuff, like anything besides like spaceballs
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: and meeting Rick Morani's like, what was the hands down
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: the thing they got you geeked.
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: The thing that I went for aside from like you know,
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: it's work on stuff for me and my own stuff.
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: Was the Marvel panel like and so their panel like
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: they were in at hall h last year, they were
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: the year before.
- 1:17:02Speaker 7: That's when they announced Robert Dan Jr. As Doom.
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: So they dropped that trailer last week on Monday, the
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: Avengers Doomsday trailer, and all of us were like, well,
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: what are you going to do in hall Ah because
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: we assumed that's what they were going to show was that,
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: and instead they showed a brand new trailer which apparently
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: is going to be at the head of Spider Man
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: brand new day. So the trailer that they showed us
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: in hall h which is a very Doctor Doom centric trailer,
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: and to be honest with you, like the first trailer
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: was wonderful. I would have led with this trailer because
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: it makes him seem thanos bad for a bunch of
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: people who maybe aren't that familiar with Doctor Doom. Although
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: who alive in this culture hasn't encountered Doctor Doom in
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: some incarnation or another. This is the first time he's
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: going to be in the Marvel Cinematic universe. You said,
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: I'm a fan of these things. You could tell listen
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: to the I speak more proudly of this than I
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: do of my own child than her back. So they
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: showed this Doom Doctor Doom trailer, which was absolutely phenomenal.
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: And seeing a trailer, most of us interactive trailers on
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: our phones, on our laptops and stuff. Generally, we don't
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: even get to see a trailer in a room with
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: like two hundred and fifty people in a movie theater anymore.
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: We're watching it beforehand, you know, in our social media,
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: in our on our laptops. This was getting to watch
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: a trailer nobody's ever seen with sixty five hundred like
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: minded people who are all there going.
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: Like that room fun thing. Oh yeah, that's why you just.
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: Feel the vibe in the room. Movie wonderful. So that
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: panel like was great. They brought up all the famous
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: people and whatnot, and that was fine. I always like
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: seeing Robert Danny Junior like the waiter. Some people come
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: up to me in life like like your thing.
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: I would you say he's nerd Jesus, Now.
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I would say so, And I honestly feel like
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: he's he's acting Jesus as well, because I don't think
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: this doctor Doom thing is a payday.
- 1:18:55Speaker 7: Although I hear he's getting paid eighty to one hundred
- 1:18:57Speaker 7: for two movies.
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: Was he of I think he's doing it NERD wants
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: to in the NERD universe. Was he the biggest star
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: for that group that weekend? Yes, hands down, Yeah, I
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: would think. I think that would be the case.
- 1:19:11Speaker 7: The acting thing.
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: I think he's doing this Doctor Doom thing because I
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: think he wants to try to win an Oscar from
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: behind a metal mask. I think he's won a Best
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: Supporting Oscar for Oppenheimer, and he was wonderful in the movie.
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: But I think this dude is like, look, he needs
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: no money anymore. He has already reached exactly he's making that,
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: but he's reached a pinnacle.
- 1:19:32Speaker 7: How do you go further?
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: If I was that dude, and I was an actor
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: and I was into acting, I'd be like, let me
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: see if I could win an oscar from behind a
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: metal mask, but the only thing they could see me
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: of me is my eyes. That would be a huge
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: challenge number one, to win an Oscar for playing like
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: a Doctor Doom like and it's not unheard of. The
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: Joker has won an Oscar twice now for people who
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: played the Joker but I think the challenge of doing
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: it from behind something that shows no articulation. So basically
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: his performance is gonna be all about a moting, all
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: about that voice and everything like that and the way
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: he carries his body, but he can't use all the
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: tricks of his face.
- 1:20:05Speaker 7: And he's so damn charming. We love that. I think
- 1:20:08Speaker 7: that's part of the reason he took the job. I
- 1:20:09Speaker 7: don't know, the guy from Adam and Stuff.
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: To do it for a challenge.
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: Yeah, the money dude's like, I'm still.
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: Yeah, that'd be fun, that'd be cute. Yeah, let's just
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: say money money.
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: Cares call in and let us know if that's accurate.
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: Eight seven Listener forty four Wooding text us over to
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: two two nine eight seven. We're gonna take a quick break,
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: will come back. It is Shark week on Discovery, which
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: means it's Nark week. It's cart Arc week here on
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: The Woody Show. So, uh, Kevin, you're gonna get to
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: be here as agent Sebastian tries to get people to
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: do the right thing when you go shopping. Yes, you
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: do your own shopping.
- 1:20:47Speaker 7: I do. Yes. He's a man of the people consumer.
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: Yeah, so like you returned the cart to the corral
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: or to the front of the store, or do you
- 1:20:53Speaker 2: just leave it empty in a spot.
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: I have to bring it back because I have to
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: take into consideration that while the whole world's not watching,
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: all I need is one person to be like silent
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: Bob doesn't return his car, so I behave.
- 1:21:05Speaker 2: I'll see how Agent Sebastian did in his encounters with
- 1:21:08Speaker 2: people in parking lots next year on The Woody Show.
- 1:21:10Speaker 10: Hangar, fellow comrades and mediocrity.
- 1:21:14Speaker 7: I want you to listen, very careful.
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: You can all go straight to have.
- 1:21:20Speaker 7: Show.
- 1:21:21Speaker 2: The Woody Show. Kevin Smith is here.
- 1:21:27Speaker 7: I'm here for this. I'm here for cart nark.
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:21:30Speaker 7: I love this concept.
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: Yeah, so I don't. I don't think we've had you
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: in for around a cart narks before.
- 1:21:36Speaker 7: This is the whole concept is new to me.
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: It's Nark Week because it's Shark Week on Discovery and
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: cart Narks is such a popular segment with our show.
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: We've decided, if it's gonna be Shark Week on Discovery,
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: it's gonna be Narc Week here on The Woody Show.
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: Agent Sebastian trying to get people do the right thing
- 1:21:52Speaker 2: and return those cards to where they belong, which is
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: to the cart corral or back to the front of
- 1:21:59Speaker 2: the store, not to be left an empty parking spot
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: or walkways manby cap spots. People love tossing them in
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: there because there's so much space there. Yeah, and that's
- 1:22:08Speaker 2: not where they go. They go back to the car crass.
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: But just rather than just doing the simple thing and
- 1:22:12Speaker 2: returning it, people will argue and scream and yell and
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: sometimes pull weapons, and they'll chase you through a parking lot.
- 1:22:17Speaker 7: Are you serious? People have pulled back.
- 1:22:19Speaker 6: I've had no literally beside guns, knives, pepper spray fists.
- 1:22:24Speaker 7: Right off the top or once they find out your thesis.
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: No, it's it's not just you said a word to me.
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: If you're coming up to me in a parking lot,
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: maybe I am pulling a knife. But if it's a
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: whole different thing. If they're like, wait, there's always are
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: you busting me for not putting the car.
- 1:22:40Speaker 6: It's super super clear, like I'm never like, oh crap,
- 1:22:43Speaker 6: he's carjacking me that sort of thing.
- 1:22:46Speaker 2: He's always friendly. He's not swearing, you're not. It's still
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: the weapons, but he is calling them lazy bones.
- 1:22:54Speaker 7: Yes, I don't like that.
- 1:22:55Speaker 6: And uh, in this case, we're gonna have this addition
- 1:22:57Speaker 6: features fun with accents. This is a Saugus acid chew
- 1:23:00Speaker 6: sits and uh, for folks who don't know, we have
- 1:23:03Speaker 6: different agents that patrol different areas geographically. And uh, there's
- 1:23:07Speaker 6: this guy, Greg Gory of the Cape Cod Gory. He's
- 1:23:11Speaker 6: a very fancy gentleman, a proper man, a fancy.
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: Accent coming out of Greg Gory.
- 1:23:17Speaker 6: And he approaches this lady and she just dumped her
- 1:23:19Speaker 6: cart in the middle of the walkway because it's right there,
- 1:23:21Speaker 6: and who.
- 1:23:21Speaker 2: Wants to walk?
- 1:23:23Speaker 6: Now there's a little bit of a wrinkle here, Kevin
- 1:23:25Speaker 6: is she she does have a disability placard on her
- 1:23:29Speaker 6: her car, and so that's always that's always a factor.
- 1:23:31Speaker 6: Now fourth, my mom has one of those, and she
- 1:23:33Speaker 6: still returns to her cars. There's different levels of disabilities,
- 1:23:35Speaker 6: of course. But the cart narks what we always do
- 1:23:38Speaker 6: is when they roll their window dead to talk to us.
- 1:23:40Speaker 6: The dead giveaway is their attitude. Are they, oh, I'm sorry,
- 1:23:45Speaker 6: would you mind getting that for me?
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: Are the accusatory?
- 1:23:47Speaker 6: And let's see what this lady has to do when
- 1:23:49Speaker 6: Greg approaches her about her cart in the walkway.
- 1:23:52Speaker 2: Oop Steve Wadley woo woop, ma'am.
- 1:23:55Speaker 6: Well, usually in a better to do that's like your
- 1:23:57Speaker 6: car back, young lady.
- 1:23:58Speaker 8: In handicapped and have problem walking.
- 1:24:00Speaker 2: Yes, you need to find him any time to see man,
- 1:24:03Speaker 2: you're anger. Leads me to believe that you could shake
- 1:24:05Speaker 2: your car back.
- 1:24:06Speaker 12: What's up that? I'm like, Mark, I'm gonna assume you.
- 1:24:08Speaker 7: Oh.
- 1:24:11Speaker 16: The first words were don't you have anything better to do?
- 1:24:14Speaker 16: Sounds like right, exactly right, essential casting, Yeah, Lois Griffin.
- 1:24:21Speaker 16: Now so mister Greg gory their agent, Greg Gorey. He
- 1:24:24Speaker 16: has these little magnets to encourage people to do the
- 1:24:26Speaker 16: right thing. They're a little scarlet letters. They say, I
- 1:24:29Speaker 16: don't return my shopping.
- 1:24:29Speaker 2: Cart like a jerk.
- 1:24:30Speaker 7: For instance, that's what you put on the car, well.
- 1:24:32Speaker 6: Yeah, or or lazy bones on board, you know, the
- 1:24:34Speaker 6: baby on He's gonna is a thousand different versions of these.
- 1:24:38Speaker 6: So that's the thing that kind of for And you
- 1:24:40Speaker 6: could have that magnet on your car, drive away and
- 1:24:42Speaker 6: be beyond with your day and say, well that was
- 1:24:44Speaker 6: odd weird anyway, or if you if your ego is
- 1:24:48Speaker 6: such and you don't want to lose the arguments. You
- 1:24:51Speaker 6: will keep on going about perhaps suing our good agent,
- 1:24:53Speaker 6: Greg Gory.
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: What would you assume me for you? It's what damagees
- 1:24:58Speaker 2: that does matter. It's my well it doesn't, it does matter.
- 1:25:01Speaker 7: It does matter.
- 1:25:02Speaker 2: Shots doesn't because in a lawsuit you wait will teach you.
- 1:25:10Speaker 7: It's my property. It's my property.
- 1:25:13Speaker 2: So her disability would keep her from returning the car,
- 1:25:16Speaker 2: but not from trying to kick someone's ass.
- 1:25:18Speaker 6: Right at this point, she's out of her suv and
- 1:25:20Speaker 6: walking around. It's funny sometimes they'll forget they're supposed to
- 1:25:25Speaker 6: be and they're like, oh so again, So Greg again
- 1:25:31Speaker 6: he's there saying, well, you can't. Just people love throwing
- 1:25:34Speaker 6: that out because they The one thing about with cart
- 1:25:36Speaker 6: Narks is we've learned the negotiation. You know this as
- 1:25:39Speaker 6: an actor, Kevin tactics. You have different tactics, different things,
- 1:25:42Speaker 6: different ways you're trying to get yes, different negotiations, Fear, pity,
- 1:25:51Speaker 6: crying on the spectrum. Right, So in this case, the law,
- 1:25:54Speaker 6: the fear of a lawsuit. Now Greg has been through
- 1:25:56Speaker 6: this before, he knows the lawsuits are ridiculous. And again
- 1:25:59Speaker 6: he just explained to her that magnet on your car
- 1:26:02Speaker 6: is not a lawsuit, what would you.
- 1:26:03Speaker 2: Assume me for you, young lady? And what damage does
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: that do? Doesn't matter? It's Mike crocketil. It doesn't touch
- 1:26:09Speaker 2: my pushes.
- 1:26:09Speaker 7: It does matter.
- 1:26:10Speaker 2: It doesn't matter your shot, doesn't it. And a lawsuit
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: a wait from your eye will teach you that was
- 1:26:15Speaker 2: the hitting there.
- 1:26:16Speaker 8: And then she baby crowned, right.
- 1:26:17Speaker 6: So then she then takes that magnet and she says, well,
- 1:26:19Speaker 6: guess what you've You've taken me to the next level here.
- 1:26:22Speaker 6: I'm going to take your maget and throw it on
- 1:26:23Speaker 6: the ground. You're making you litter.
- 1:26:26Speaker 2: It made me do this. We know that Greg does
- 1:26:28Speaker 2: not like litter. No, no, no, absolutely not acceptable right here.
- 1:26:31Speaker 6: So actually I've got a magnet that says I'm a
- 1:26:35Speaker 6: little bug.
- 1:26:36Speaker 7: On it right here.
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: See, if you were truly if you were truly injured,
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: you would have said, oh, I'm sorry, I can't take
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: it back. You were leading cats. No, all I did
- 1:26:47Speaker 2: was I kind of waved. I said, oh, hey, you
- 1:26:49Speaker 2: weren't being catted, So you were being attitude. You were.
- 1:26:53Speaker 8: You were big attitude.
- 1:26:56Speaker 6: Because that's that's the thing with these agents is we'll
- 1:26:57Speaker 6: often say like yeah, halfway through them screaming whatever, like
- 1:27:01Speaker 6: you could have just asked us or just at any
- 1:27:03Speaker 6: point in the but no.
- 1:27:05Speaker 2: Then then they rewrite history like, no, you had a
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: crappy attitude. Well we heard the attitude at first.
- 1:27:09Speaker 5: It was just like, yeah, fantastic exactly.
- 1:27:12Speaker 7: Yeah, Aude was all about her property.
- 1:27:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:27:19Speaker 6: Now another move that's in our agent's vast arsenal besides
- 1:27:22Speaker 6: the variety of magnets they use, is they love to
- 1:27:25Speaker 6: because they know they're milking somebody's ego at this point.
- 1:27:28Speaker 6: So they'll go to the car side of the car,
- 1:27:29Speaker 6: the cat that they can that the person can't see,
- 1:27:31Speaker 6: grab the magnet, blow it, blow their eye level, and
- 1:27:34Speaker 6: then not even place it on, just to see if
- 1:27:35Speaker 6: they'll stomp on it.
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: Faut.
- 1:27:38Speaker 8: I'm not touching you. I'm not touching your.
- 1:27:42Speaker 2: Exactly, Like do you really care about the magnet or
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: you know not? So Greg uses that on this lady.
- 1:27:47Speaker 6: So by being polite, here's a little bug Magnetim what
- 1:27:53Speaker 6: are you gonna tell them, mam?
- 1:27:55Speaker 2: Remember earlier you said you couldn't walk over to the
- 1:27:56Speaker 2: carver turd.
- 1:27:57Speaker 6: Well you've already walked farther than that several times now,
- 1:27:59Speaker 6: so I think you're lying.
- 1:28:00Speaker 8: No, not mine.
- 1:28:02Speaker 2: She fell for the failure her tears. Man, that's against
- 1:28:06Speaker 2: the law. Also, I'm gonna kill you. I'm gonna kick
- 1:28:10Speaker 2: your ass to He started with suing, then we went
- 1:28:14Speaker 2: to I'm gonna kick your ass and I pointed this out.
- 1:28:19Speaker 7: I know what.
- 1:28:20Speaker 6: He doesn't like this, But that's a that's a felony
- 1:28:22Speaker 6: assault right there. When you when you get when you
- 1:28:24Speaker 6: tell somebody in a way that they're intended to believe
- 1:28:26Speaker 6: that you are going to cause great harm, in this
- 1:28:28Speaker 6: case their death, that is a felony assault. But people
- 1:28:32Speaker 6: just don't care because they don't want to be told.
- 1:28:34Speaker 7: What is the like, clearly he's been through it. What
- 1:28:39Speaker 7: there's no rule against putting a magnet on car.
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: Okay, so think about think about this.
- 1:28:43Speaker 6: Yeah, so think about pop to potential charges kevin vandalism, vandalism.
- 1:28:47Speaker 6: You still gotta have a damage there, like no damage
- 1:28:50Speaker 6: like with a spray spray paints someone's car.
- 1:28:51Speaker 2: Yeah, that takes time.
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: Even putting a bumper sticker on, It's like that's going
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: to take time to the magnet comes right again.
- 1:28:57Speaker 6: The cart arcs there so far ahead of these on
- 1:29:00Speaker 6: it where we have advantages because I've done this a
- 1:29:02Speaker 6: thousand times. People have never been called in their crap
- 1:29:04Speaker 6: a thousand times. But yeah, so there may be in
- 1:29:07Speaker 6: some jurisdictions you could get a ticket for like leaving
- 1:29:10Speaker 6: a flyer like like that, that sort of thing. But
- 1:29:13Speaker 6: the daily write tickets for that when you do a
- 1:29:14Speaker 6: thousand of them in the entire parking lot, and you
- 1:29:16Speaker 6: know you're creating litter. If it's a one on one
- 1:29:19Speaker 6: where you're just again with a specific purpose of not
- 1:29:22Speaker 6: in this case, not blocking the walkway, there is no
- 1:29:24Speaker 6: there's no never been charged, never even been brought into court,
- 1:29:27Speaker 6: and none.
- 1:29:27Speaker 7: Of that stuff.
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: Although there was that one woman who was threatening because
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: it was false imprisonment because you had the cart. You
- 1:29:33Speaker 2: had the cart behind her car to the cart that
- 1:29:36Speaker 2: she left out in the open space you just placed
- 1:29:38Speaker 2: behind her car, And she contacted her lawyer and they're like, well, technically,
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: I guess it could be false imprisonment. If you would
- 1:29:48Speaker 2: just put the cart back in the crowd, you would
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: no longer be in prisons on your own pitar.
- 1:29:55Speaker 6: The idea that was the psychology behind that, well, you're
- 1:29:57Speaker 6: your cart could be in other people's ways, so let's
- 1:29:59Speaker 6: see how you feel. But and I my lawyer said
- 1:30:03Speaker 6: to look, don't even don't give any da an opportunity
- 1:30:06Speaker 6: to do anything, you know, even though this thing is
- 1:30:08Speaker 6: on wheels and you could and you have moved it.
- 1:30:11Speaker 2: Uh so we we don't do that. That she is
- 1:30:13Speaker 2: she is a great a masshole.
- 1:30:15Speaker 7: That is yeah, straight up.
- 1:30:17Speaker 6: So now at this point she is This happens all
- 1:30:20Speaker 6: the time as well, where they won't. They don't want
- 1:30:21Speaker 6: to lose the argument, so they'll they'll pull out of
- 1:30:23Speaker 6: their spot, end up blocking traffic, which I don't want
- 1:30:26Speaker 6: of course, and Agent Greg Grory in this case in
- 1:30:28Speaker 6: the we'll kind of d escalate, but then they'll blame
- 1:30:31Speaker 6: me for blocking traffic when again they could have driven
- 1:30:34Speaker 6: away at any time.
- 1:30:35Speaker 2: But again they don't want to lose the argument. You
- 1:30:36Speaker 2: fell for the fake out.
- 1:30:37Speaker 15: Man.
- 1:30:37Speaker 2: There's nothing on there.
- 1:30:41Speaker 7: Man, I'm trying nice to you, and you're just you're
- 1:30:44Speaker 7: threatening to hurt me.
- 1:30:44Speaker 2: I'm trying to be pleasant and polite. I'm gonna put
- 1:30:47Speaker 2: that right there, ma'am. I'm trying to I'm trying to
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: make a simple poyer.
- 1:30:54Speaker 8: You're blocking Hall's blocking.
- 1:30:57Speaker 2: Crew could leave it at any time if you wanted to.
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: You can leave anytime you want to.
- 1:31:03Speaker 6: You could have left five minutes ago, ma'am, but your
- 1:31:05Speaker 6: ego won't let you because you want to be right too.
- 1:31:09Speaker 2: Late already didn't.
- 1:31:13Speaker 6: And it's other thing, and you know this from video
- 1:31:15Speaker 6: game culture, Kevin. They a lot of the comments I
- 1:31:18Speaker 6: see is these people get stuck in NPC loops, which
- 1:31:21Speaker 6: is a non playable character, like they don't have they
- 1:31:24Speaker 6: have five or six lines and don't catch my cap,
- 1:31:26Speaker 6: don't touch.
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: It's just like they they.
- 1:31:32Speaker 6: Don't want to have a conversation or they're their understanding
- 1:31:35Speaker 6: of the is so surface level. They just deep back
- 1:31:38Speaker 6: and forth.
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: What I like about it is, you know what, we
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: love comic books and comic book movies because we're like, oh,
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: Man of Vigilante, you'll make things right.
- 1:31:46Speaker 7: This is the real Batman, you know what I'm saying,
- 1:31:50Speaker 7: The Batman of civility. It's night the cart Knight returns.
- 1:32:00Speaker 6: He look, I'm not I'm not going to say this,
- 1:32:03Speaker 6: but you walk around. You walk around the floor there
- 1:32:06Speaker 6: at comic Con as I did this year, and you
- 1:32:08Speaker 6: see they are these little booths like, well, man, I
- 1:32:09Speaker 6: could probably get some comic books, yes, and some some
- 1:32:12Speaker 6: plastic you know, Funko style to yes, I could autograph.
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: Yes, there's a merchandising opportunity here, but don't get lost
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: in the money, because it's the justice that we're seeking,
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: Like Batman's never like, you know, I could sell these shots.
- 1:32:27Speaker 2: There's a millionaire first true, good boy.
- 1:32:30Speaker 7: You know, you got to catch up. You know what,
- 1:32:31Speaker 7: You're right, you get to sell.
- 1:32:33Speaker 2: So, yeah, you're right. You know some comic book people
- 1:32:36Speaker 2: there are there is a comic book here, well.
- 1:32:38Speaker 7: Comic book.
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: But but I'm saying, like, never mind, I agree with
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: you one hundred percent, but I'm being serious. This is
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: the real Batman. Yeah, like, never mind punching muggers and stuff, like,
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: nobody gets mugged anymore. This is the true injustice in society.
- 1:32:52Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's and the.
- 1:32:54Speaker 7: Cart narks are out there, they're doing their thing Batman. Ink.
- 1:32:57Speaker 2: Did you see the story about what was going on
- 1:32:59Speaker 2: in Mexico. There was like a Batman kind of guy
- 1:33:01Speaker 2: going around. He called the Mexican Batman and he was
- 1:33:08Speaker 2: from and he was taping them to light poles. Yeah,
- 1:33:15Speaker 2: looking up, the pictures are funny. These guys who are
- 1:33:18Speaker 2: like steal were they stealing like bicycle stuff like that?
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: Yeah, and I'm not saying Cart and Arc should be
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: taping anybody to anything that is even better, man, And.
- 1:33:27Speaker 2: We do have some I've done some you know remember
- 1:33:29Speaker 2: the G I Jo P s A at the at
- 1:33:31Speaker 2: the eighties.
- 1:33:32Speaker 7: The more so we have.
- 1:33:33Speaker 6: Produced some concepts that's like what I'll do, I'll take
- 1:33:36Speaker 6: you know somebody. For instance, off the air, Kevin said, well,
- 1:33:39Speaker 6: what did they say they pay employees to do this?
- 1:33:41Speaker 6: And I say, well, yeah, they pay employees to clean
- 1:33:44Speaker 6: your hotel room. That doesn't mean you crap in the sink.
- 1:33:46Speaker 6: You know, there's there's systems in place, courtyard. So I
- 1:33:53Speaker 6: produced a several p. S A style things where people
- 1:33:55Speaker 6: come to me, well it's they pay people in the
- 1:33:57Speaker 6: in the cart and Ark responds.
- 1:33:58Speaker 2: With these sort of things and if G I Joe,
- 1:34:01Speaker 2: Yeah it's animated. Yeah, So you know, the the concepts
- 1:34:03Speaker 2: already there. I just really need somebody to you know, Netflix,
- 1:34:08Speaker 2: et cetera.
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: Why honestly, like I spent so much time watching police
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: body cam videos.
- 1:34:13Speaker 7: This is even better.
- 1:34:15Speaker 6: And that's yeah that's the video. They're all they're all
- 1:34:17Speaker 6: my p O V, et cetera. So it's really you're
- 1:34:19Speaker 6: in it video game style again.
- 1:34:20Speaker 2: You'll you'll love that. It should be the newest follower
- 1:34:23Speaker 2: of Cartnarks on Instagram and the cart Narks.
- 1:34:25Speaker 7: I'm there.
- 1:34:26Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a ton of videos up there man. I mean,
- 1:34:27Speaker 2: I don't know how many you have at this point,
- 1:34:29Speaker 2: thousands and thousands.
- 1:34:30Speaker 7: Yeah, there's in the Netflix man, and be like, this
- 1:34:32Speaker 7: is the future from.
- 1:34:33Speaker 2: Your word lists to the people that the future, Well,
- 1:34:39Speaker 2: it's a Shark week on Discovery. It is Nark here.
- 1:34:42Speaker 2: Show a grey doing the lord's work. Try to get
- 1:34:50Speaker 2: people to do the right thing and they return those
- 1:34:52Speaker 2: cards being polite. Here's a little about magnemam. What you
- 1:35:00Speaker 2: get to tell him?
- 1:35:00Speaker 6: Man, Remember earlier you said you couldn't walk over to
- 1:35:02Speaker 6: the Carver Church. Well you've already walked part of them
- 1:35:04Speaker 6: that several times now, so I think you're lying.
- 1:35:06Speaker 2: No, it's not mine. She fell for the failure on
- 1:35:09Speaker 2: her tears. Yeah, man, that's against the law. Also, show
- 1:35:16Speaker 2: Kevin Smith is here. He's got his show on Sunday

- 1:35:58Speaker 2: You went down this like, man, you went down a
- 1:36:00Speaker 2: rabbit hole of like old school hip hops. One give
- 1:36:04Speaker 2: me a lot of old school hip hop and which
- 1:36:06Speaker 2: I know you love.
- 1:36:07Speaker 7: Public Academy.
- 1:36:08Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, run DMC like Tougher than Leather. What a
- 1:36:12Speaker 2: great song? Uh yeah, So instant request, what do you want?
- 1:36:15Speaker 7: Uh, Welcome to the Terrordome. You got it.
- 1:36:18Speaker 2: Welcome to the Territor Yeah, Public Enemy, we do all right.
- 1:36:23Speaker 2: Instant requests for our guest Kevin Smith again, go hang

- 1:36:35Speaker 2: he's sitting here and pressing Gina. That was Cyler of Culture.
- 1:36:40Speaker 7: Chuck d What am I hero?
- 1:36:41Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: Man, they's a big the work of Chuck d Here
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: is a spoiler of years and the thing uh plays
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: a big part in the Dogma sequel that I'm writing
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: right now.
- 1:36:51Speaker 2: Oh nice, yeah, nice, yeah that song.
- 1:36:54Speaker 7: I wanted to open Dogma with that song Welcome to
- 1:36:57Speaker 7: the Tterodome.
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: Instead we wound up, of course, getting a school were
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: from Howard Shore, which is amazing. But when I started
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: writing the Dogma sequel, I was like, all right, what
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: was how was the table set when I did this
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: the first time? And one of the things was that song.
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: That song fueled Dogma was a very angry movie. It's
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: a lovely movie to watch and stuff and plays out nicely,
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: but it was written by a guy who was so
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: mad that people didn't see his faith the way he did.
- 1:37:23Speaker 2: There are two songs that I associate with you like
- 1:37:26Speaker 2: when they come on, I think of Kevin Smith. One
- 1:37:28Speaker 2: is Misery My Soul Asylum play yeah yeah, because the
- 1:37:33Speaker 2: credits rolled, that's the songs playing. And then there's this one.
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: And Eliza dishcou and Ali Larder jumping out of a Vandy.
- 1:37:56Speaker 7: Not yet first jump.
- 1:37:59Speaker 2: I mean, I grew up a Run DMC fan, but
- 1:38:02Speaker 2: like so like, of course I knew that song way before.
- 1:38:04Speaker 7: Logo on like this is very rundy.
- 1:38:06Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that logo in particular is literally inspired by
- 1:38:11Speaker 2: like the retro run DMC.
- 1:38:14Speaker 7: You know thing for sure, we're from me from the
- 1:38:16Speaker 7: same place finding out here we are Pittsburgh.
- 1:38:19Speaker 2: Yeah, that's crazy Jersey, Pittsburgh and Jersey, and then you
- 1:38:21Speaker 2: know the Jersey thing obviously.
- 1:38:23Speaker 7: How often do you ever go back to Pittsburgh? Pretty often?
- 1:38:26Speaker 7: Will you a Marrio kid?
- 1:38:27Speaker 2: Uh? Of course?
- 1:38:28Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 1:38:29Speaker 2: Yeah, of course yeah, and and Mario brothers.
- 1:38:32Speaker 7: All three Marios the pillars of your life.
- 1:38:36Speaker 2: So I know you're for the East Coast? Did you
- 1:38:37Speaker 2: say Mario?
- 1:38:38Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 1:38:39Speaker 2: Yeah, all right. So Kevin Smith's your phones are open
- 1:38:41Speaker 2: eight seven seven forty four Wooding. You get in sentence
- 1:38:43Speaker 2: a text over to two to nine eight seven.
- 1:38:46Speaker 8: I've never and have no desire to and do not
- 1:38:48Speaker 8: know how to bake cookies from scratch.
- 1:38:51Speaker 2: The other thing as a full of ron adult, it's
- 1:38:53Speaker 2: I don't know how to drive a stick.
- 1:38:59Speaker 7: Little ship.
- 1:39:01Speaker 2: The soon to be fifty six year old Kevin Smith
- 1:39:04Speaker 2: is our guest. Well, yeah, like, what when did you realize?
- 1:39:14Speaker 2: I think everybody had that like, Okay, well I think
- 1:39:17Speaker 2: I'm officially getting older now. For me, it was when
- 1:39:19Speaker 2: I heard and it was faith No More Epic, that
- 1:39:23Speaker 2: song Faith No More Epic. I heard it in the
- 1:39:25Speaker 2: grocery store. I'm like, damn all right, so that was
- 1:39:28Speaker 2: like that song like this.
- 1:39:31Speaker 7: But yeah, walking around shopping we all know, yeah, which
- 1:39:38Speaker 7: smack whels do?
- 1:39:40Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:39:41Speaker 2: That was that was a that was a big one
- 1:39:43Speaker 2: for me. Also, to a much lesser degree, was I
- 1:39:46Speaker 2: think I told the story our first set of friends
- 1:39:48Speaker 2: that had a baby and we were with them one
- 1:39:50Speaker 2: night and we had to stop on the way home,
- 1:39:52Speaker 2: so I think can get cash for the babysitter. I'm like, wow, okay,
- 1:39:54Speaker 2: though that's adulting kind of stuff, you know. But you know,
- 1:39:57Speaker 2: fifty six is different, right, like like.
- 1:40:02Speaker 1: Old, but like sixty to me is like man like
- 1:40:05Speaker 1: it's we watch a lot of programs, me and the wife,
- 1:40:08Speaker 1: and now we do this all the time.
- 1:40:10Speaker 7: How old do you think they are? Right?
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: You know, it's like let's find out and you do
- 1:40:14Speaker 1: the ould Kidman dive and you're like, well, she's like
- 1:40:17Speaker 1: only two years older, But how come I to look
- 1:40:20Speaker 1: like that? When you have Matt Matt Damon's my age
- 1:40:23Speaker 1: and look at him in the Odyssey. That's possible, you
- 1:40:26Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. And then I keep seeing these
- 1:40:28Speaker 1: these these like articles online with the like it's really possible.
- 1:40:32Speaker 1: It was kind of low impact, like it took him
- 1:40:34Speaker 1: six months, but you can do it too.
- 1:40:36Speaker 5: Oh sure.
- 1:40:37Speaker 1: I feel like the world's trying to tell me something.
- 1:40:39Speaker 1: But I'm like, and then I saw did you see
- 1:40:40Speaker 1: Charlie's thereon? Was like yeah, She's like I know it's inappropriate,
- 1:40:44Speaker 1: but I couldn't stop staring it. Matt Damon's body on them? Yeah,
- 1:40:47Speaker 1: set of Odyssey. Did everyone see Odyssey?
- 1:40:50Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:40:50Speaker 7: I mean.
- 1:40:53Speaker 5: That sucks though when you come across these posts where
- 1:40:56Speaker 5: it shows you know, old timey actors and how they
- 1:41:00Speaker 5: were in the roles and at the time you thought
- 1:41:02Speaker 5: they were like eighty and mister was like whatever.
- 1:41:06Speaker 19: For eight, Yeah, we're older than mister yeah yeah, for
- 1:41:11Speaker 19: will be one yeah, or anyone in a position of authority,
- 1:41:14Speaker 19: like the president's younger than me or whatever it is.
- 1:41:17Speaker 8: That is very scary.
- 1:41:18Speaker 2: Yeah, But like also you start to realize, like man Jesus,
- 1:41:21Speaker 2: like you go to sign up for something, you got
- 1:41:23Speaker 2: to put your date of birth, and it's the scroll,
- 1:41:24Speaker 2: scrolling scroll, especially if you're doing on your phone, you're like,
- 1:41:27Speaker 2: it looks like a like a slot machine forever trying
- 1:41:30Speaker 2: to find the year.
- 1:41:31Speaker 5: The ultimate adult thing when you realize, god, we're kind
- 1:41:34Speaker 5: of getting old is when you're just trying to make
- 1:41:37Speaker 5: a date to have dinner with friends and you're all
- 1:41:40Speaker 5: flipping through and going, I could do a September fourth.
- 1:41:44Speaker 2: Yeah, you gotta be careful about to sleep wrong, you know,
- 1:41:46Speaker 2: so you know you'll have that muscles killing for a week.
- 1:41:49Speaker 1: I've been misleading myself too, for the better part of
- 1:41:51Speaker 1: thirty years now because of the job, Like it's easy
- 1:41:54Speaker 1: to deceive myself into not feeling my age.
- 1:41:57Speaker 7: Yeah, I always feel eternally eighteen or so.
- 1:42:00Speaker 2: Wearing a hat backwards, you're rocking acky jersey lot and
- 1:42:03Speaker 2: all of it is like look.
- 1:42:04Speaker 7: At an overgrown child.
- 1:42:06Speaker 1: But sooner or later, my body will be like spin
- 1:42:09Speaker 1: that cap backwards as much as you want, but you
- 1:42:12Speaker 1: better get up and go to the bathroom for the
- 1:42:14Speaker 1: sixth time this evening.
- 1:42:15Speaker 2: Old man Morgan, you like to pride yourself on being
- 1:42:18Speaker 2: a youngster. I'm very young, although I think she's kidding
- 1:42:21Speaker 2: herself all of it.
- 1:42:22Speaker 15: I'm trying to convince myself of that. I'm thirty two.
- 1:42:24Speaker 7: Yeah, so is that making the youngest person in the room.
- 1:42:26Speaker 2: Oh by far.
- 1:42:28Speaker 7: You don't have to say like that, good morning here,
- 1:42:31Speaker 7: look at them, a bunch of old people.
- 1:42:33Speaker 15: Bring the youth into the room.
- 1:42:35Speaker 2: Okay, So let me let me ask you this. You're
- 1:42:37Speaker 2: thirty two, okay, so do the math on that. Born
- 1:42:40Speaker 2: in ninety four. Okay, clerks, you're born with clerks came back? Yeah,
- 1:42:45Speaker 2: all right, So Morgan, what does b kind rewind mean?
- 1:42:50Speaker 17: Oh?
- 1:42:50Speaker 15: That is from a movie, and it's odd it is
- 1:42:54Speaker 15: from a movie. Okay, what does it mean? It means
- 1:42:57Speaker 15: when you take back your VHS from Rinse. Okay, I
- 1:43:00Speaker 15: wasn't sure that I have it started at the beginning,
- 1:43:03Speaker 15: because then that's rude to the next customer if it
- 1:43:05Speaker 15: starts at.
- 1:43:06Speaker 2: The end of the movie. But there was a movie
- 1:43:07Speaker 2: by the same name. Okay, But you're right, you're right
- 1:43:10Speaker 2: that already existed.
- 1:43:11Speaker 15: Yeah, double points.
- 1:43:12Speaker 7: It is the the cart narch of its day. You civilly,
- 1:43:16Speaker 7: you had to rewind before you.
- 1:43:18Speaker 8: Brought us, had one of the rewinding machines because you
- 1:43:21Speaker 8: didn't want to hurt your own.
- 1:43:22Speaker 7: Is Yeah, why ruined your wear and tear?
- 1:43:25Speaker 2: Why was it one that looks like a car? I
- 1:43:28Speaker 2: remember that?
- 1:43:28Speaker 15: Yeah, rewinder, and what happened if you didn't rewind it?
- 1:43:32Speaker 2: Did they get?
- 1:43:33Speaker 20: Oh?
- 1:43:34Speaker 7: Really in nineteen ninety dollars, it's like today?
- 1:43:38Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 1:43:39Speaker 7: I was sure.
- 1:43:40Speaker 2: Were you sure you're going to do that?
- 1:43:41Speaker 9: Term?
- 1:43:42Speaker 15: I mean I never did it right? Too young, but
- 1:43:44Speaker 15: I know about it.
- 1:43:45Speaker 2: And blockbusters are still a thing, like you know, oh yeah,
- 1:43:48Speaker 2: well ninety four yeah something, but like to where you
- 1:43:51Speaker 2: were old enough to realize what these these places? Yeah,
- 1:43:54Speaker 2: we would about music stores. Bucket music Store is still around.
- 1:43:57Speaker 15: Yes, Virgin Records.
- 1:43:58Speaker 2: I loved that, right, That's the thing. This is where
- 1:44:01Speaker 2: I started to get a little like it's gray area
- 1:44:03Speaker 2: for me, Like what like for frame of reference for
- 1:44:06Speaker 2: someone like Morgan, Like what does she remember she was
- 1:44:08Speaker 2: ever being.
- 1:44:09Speaker 7: A telephone or put punch buttons on a telephone?
- 1:44:12Speaker 15: No, I've seen those phones before in like museums.
- 1:44:14Speaker 2: Oh the rotary one, the scrolly thing, but like a
- 1:44:20Speaker 2: home phone. People still had a home phone.
- 1:44:22Speaker 15: We had a home phone, but it was cordless, yes,
- 1:44:27Speaker 15: and also when we only because she works here, worked here,
- 1:44:31Speaker 15: so I tried to get through trying to win something
- 1:44:33Speaker 15: or try to get on the air, and it was
- 1:44:34Speaker 15: a busy signal.
- 1:44:35Speaker 1: Counter a busy signal in life before you worked at
- 1:44:37Speaker 1: a radio station, everything is like call waiting at.
- 1:44:40Speaker 7: A certain point.
- 1:44:41Speaker 2: I find that now I get pissed if I call them.
- 1:44:43Speaker 2: There's like a busy signal.
- 1:44:48Speaker 8: Yeah, still aggressive.
- 1:44:51Speaker 5: Did you ever call for one one?
- 1:44:52Speaker 1: Oh?
- 1:44:53Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 1:44:53Speaker 2: What is a when you call information?
- 1:44:55Speaker 7: What do you? What do you?
- 1:44:56Speaker 2: What are you calling that? So when you would call
- 1:44:58Speaker 2: for one one? What was that for the process?
- 1:45:00Speaker 15: I could ask maybe like Sally's phone number down the
- 1:45:03Speaker 15: street or her address. You ask about personal things like that,
- 1:45:06Speaker 15: where you could ask like where's the local pizza place?
- 1:45:09Speaker 15: Where they tell you anything?
- 1:45:11Speaker 7: Right?
- 1:45:12Speaker 15: Where do I get my plan? B?
- 1:45:13Speaker 1: They were strictly plan like here's where you get some stuff.
- 1:45:17Speaker 1: They were strictly here's a phone number, phone number. But
- 1:45:20Speaker 1: you'd be like, hey, where do I get pizza?
- 1:45:22Speaker 7: Be like that's not my purview?
- 1:45:23Speaker 17: Man.
- 1:45:23Speaker 2: Yeah. But people would also call for time and temperature right,
- 1:45:28Speaker 2: and how they answer at the tone the time will
- 1:45:31Speaker 2: be four twenty and it was time to smoke weed.
- 1:45:34Speaker 8: It ruled because then you you could use it as
- 1:45:36Speaker 8: a fake out and like pretend you were talking to people.
- 1:45:38Speaker 8: It would just tell you the time and temperature over
- 1:45:39Speaker 8: now right.
- 1:45:39Speaker 5: And the phone number was popcorn, remember yeah, seven sixty seven,
- 1:45:43Speaker 5: and then any four numbers and.
- 1:45:44Speaker 2: It was yeah, yeah, it wasn't in our form, and
- 1:45:47Speaker 2: one it was a separate.
- 1:45:48Speaker 7: Number, five, five, five and number. And someone would tell
- 1:45:52Speaker 7: you a joke because like ninety nine cents or what
- 1:45:59Speaker 7: you call it? One joke?
- 1:46:00Speaker 2: You know what I kind of miss because I remember
- 1:46:02Speaker 2: doing this. The Trenton Times was the local paper, and
- 1:46:06Speaker 2: I would open it up, and you know, our parents
- 1:46:08Speaker 2: were like, oh, okay, we can go see a movie
- 1:46:09Speaker 2: this weekend. You guys, my sisters not you go through
- 1:46:11Speaker 2: the paper and find the movie you want to see.
- 1:46:13Speaker 2: So we we look for the thing or whatever, and
- 1:46:15Speaker 2: then uh, we'd start calling around even though the times
- 1:46:17Speaker 2: and stuff were in the paper. What time. I used
- 1:46:20Speaker 2: to like calling the movie theater and listening to the recording.
- 1:46:24Speaker 2: I thought to myself as a kid, like, man, you
- 1:46:26Speaker 2: know what a cool job would be to be the guy.
- 1:46:30Speaker 1: Does the record podcastle Cinemas and Atlanta guylands.
- 1:46:35Speaker 7: One of the first things I did was like I'm
- 1:46:36Speaker 7: leaving the message I used to.
- 1:46:38Speaker 2: If I call that right now, say, if I call
- 1:46:43Speaker 2: that right now, it's it's your message to podcast. What's
- 1:46:46Speaker 2: what's the number?
- 1:46:47Speaker 7: I don't we can look it up. Oh you don't.
- 1:46:50Speaker 2: Okay, well okay, hold on. It was like for the audis,
- 1:46:55Speaker 2: I'm not that, but I'm the greeting voice.
- 1:46:58Speaker 1: It should be unless they replacement of like, hey man,
- 1:47:01Speaker 1: you've reached podcasts.
- 1:47:04Speaker 2: I'm looking it up right now. Hold on, it's got
- 1:47:06Speaker 2: to be like an act. Okay, here we go, seven three, two,
- 1:47:10Speaker 2: all right, Colin, right now to zero four? Yeah, okay,
- 1:47:18Speaker 2: all right, let's see what.
- 1:47:19Speaker 7: Happened in exchange.
- 1:47:21Speaker 2: Your call cannot be completed remembers right? Oh you know
- 1:47:28Speaker 2: I didn't put.
- 1:47:28Speaker 7: The one in the well. You know what, I heart
- 1:47:30Speaker 7: doesn't hurt.
- 1:47:33Speaker 2: They took all the phones with at our desks. Yeah,
- 1:47:35Speaker 2: we have nothing. We don't have office phones.
- 1:47:37Speaker 7: That's right, they did. Do you even need them anymore? Though?
- 1:47:41Speaker 7: Do you remember the long distance calls?
- 1:47:42Speaker 2: Morgan? Oh?
- 1:47:43Speaker 15: No, never made one.
- 1:47:45Speaker 2: Let's say, where's Kevin? There an employee that is going
- 1:47:50Speaker 2: to pick up?
- 1:47:51Speaker 7: No, it's too early.
- 1:47:57Speaker 2: Ah right, thanks for God's Podcastle Cinemas. I'm your host,
- 1:48:01Speaker 2: Kevin Smith showing.
- 1:48:02Speaker 15: To the.
- 1:48:05Speaker 2: Not enough space to leave a message. Now you know
- 1:48:10Speaker 2: you can look into that getting fired.
- 1:48:13Speaker 7: Yeah, someone is losing their job. In cinema, somebody's losing
- 1:48:16Speaker 7: a movie, Joe.
- 1:48:17Speaker 2: Let me ask another one, Morgan, all right, put it
- 1:48:20Speaker 2: on layaway.
- 1:48:22Speaker 15: Oh okay, I think my mom did this. Shout out
- 1:48:24Speaker 15: to her. If you want to buy something at like
- 1:48:26Speaker 15: Macy's and you don't have the money, you could say,
- 1:48:29Speaker 15: I want to put this on lay away. I'll come
- 1:48:30Speaker 15: bring you money later. Yeah, take the product home?
- 1:48:34Speaker 2: Or did you leave it there? And a lot of
- 1:48:37Speaker 2: people are doing that like a Kmart all the time,
- 1:48:40Speaker 2: you know Kmart? What was the other one? You remember,
- 1:48:43Speaker 2: James Way, when you were.
- 1:48:44Speaker 1: A kid, you would make fun of people by being
- 1:48:46Speaker 1: like your mom's buying a buying tuna fish?
- 1:48:51Speaker 2: Yeah, or like what was the blue light special?
- 1:48:53Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 1:48:55Speaker 2: What what's the blue light special? I don't have no clue,
- 1:48:57Speaker 2: no idea.
- 1:48:58Speaker 15: I'll take a guess, Deli sandwich.
- 1:49:01Speaker 2: No, it was a Kmart thing, the blue light special.
- 1:49:04Speaker 2: So like so Kmart was like a Walmart or a Target, right,
- 1:49:08Speaker 2: and like a discount kind of a store. Right, And
- 1:49:11Speaker 2: let's say, oh, ladies and job attention kmart shoppers. We
- 1:49:14Speaker 2: have a blue light special right now in sporting goods
- 1:49:17Speaker 2: and it was like tennis rackets are you know, twenty
- 1:49:19Speaker 2: five percent off? And there was a wheelly cart that
- 1:49:22Speaker 2: had a big poll on it with a big blue
- 1:49:24Speaker 2: flashing police light kind of thing on it, and they
- 1:49:26Speaker 2: have it in the sporting goods section. They turn it
- 1:49:28Speaker 2: on and it was a blue light special.
- 1:49:31Speaker 1: You gotta understand, we didn't have the internet, we didn't
- 1:49:34Speaker 1: have cable TV even so we had the blue light
- 1:49:38Speaker 1: so fun.
- 1:49:38Speaker 8: I have a question because this involves cell phones, so
- 1:49:41Speaker 8: you might know it, Morgan, do you know what nights
- 1:49:43Speaker 8: and weekends calling is?
- 1:49:45Speaker 15: That's when you got you weren't charged for calling after
- 1:49:48Speaker 15: a certain time or on the weekend?
- 1:49:49Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, seven pm you were charged more in the day.
- 1:49:52Speaker 2: I mean the other thing I remember, you know, as
- 1:49:54Speaker 2: a kid, and then you walk into a place, you
- 1:49:56Speaker 2: go to a I'm still trying to see it. Make
- 1:49:58Speaker 2: sure make sure before somebody gets fired, to make sure
- 1:50:00Speaker 2: that's actually like a.
- 1:50:01Speaker 7: I'm gonna a thing you do that I'm gonna text
- 1:50:03Speaker 7: somebody off. You're embarrassing me.
- 1:50:06Speaker 2: And I'm saying, like when when you would go into
- 1:50:08Speaker 2: a restaurant and they were smoking or non smoking. You
- 1:50:11Speaker 2: actually stole a choice, and it was the smoking section
- 1:50:15Speaker 2: was just divided, just like how you would say, this
- 1:50:17Speaker 2: is my side of the room with your sister.
- 1:50:21Speaker 7: The room.
- 1:50:21Speaker 2: You stay on your side of the room. There's no barrier.
- 1:50:23Speaker 2: It wasn't a plane.
- 1:50:25Speaker 7: It's still alive today. Weird.
- 1:50:28Speaker 2: Yeah, no shoes, no shirt, no shoes, no service.
- 1:50:31Speaker 15: That's still got to be a thing, right.
- 1:50:34Speaker 7: I want silent for a few minutes so I could
- 1:50:35Speaker 7: fire people.
- 1:50:37Speaker 15: Roll the window down like manually, mean something else, like
- 1:50:44Speaker 15: how would you get Yeah, my dad had pick up.
- 1:50:47Speaker 8: If you were in the car and there was no lighter,
- 1:50:49Speaker 8: but somebody wanted a cigarette, what would you do?
- 1:50:51Speaker 15: Oh yeah, I'm like, I got this little round cigarette
- 1:50:54Speaker 15: thing that I'm not supposed to stick my finger in.
- 1:50:58Speaker 15: That's I never saw it work, but it's cool.
- 1:51:01Speaker 2: Yeah, because now it's like a dummy plug.
- 1:51:04Speaker 7: Because they don't sell cars with him anymore.
- 1:51:07Speaker 2: Well, there's there's still like sometimes a cigarette adapter like
- 1:51:10Speaker 2: that where you could plug something in charge sometimes, but
- 1:51:14Speaker 2: there's not the the apparatus that actually coil. That was
- 1:51:17Speaker 2: heat up. And my son took the little plug out
- 1:51:20Speaker 2: and he was looking and goes, how are people supposed
- 1:51:22Speaker 2: to light their cigarettes with this? It didn't look like this.
- 1:51:26Speaker 2: It was in the same shape, so.
- 1:51:27Speaker 1: Renumber One year, I was nine years old and I
- 1:51:30Speaker 1: was sitting in front of my grandparents house. They lived
- 1:51:32Speaker 1: around the block from us, and I was in the car.
- 1:51:34Speaker 1: My mom was like, wait here, you can do that.
- 1:51:36Speaker 1: Then you can leave a child in a car.
- 1:51:37Speaker 7: And for two hours. So he went to the light.
- 1:51:40Speaker 1: Because there's no entertainment, no keys, no radio. So the
- 1:51:44Speaker 1: lighter still works when the cars off. So I push
- 1:51:46Speaker 1: it in, you wait for it to heat up, pops
- 1:51:48Speaker 1: back out. That was entertainment. Then I took it out
- 1:51:51Speaker 1: and I started making imprints because I was like, oh,
- 1:51:56Speaker 1: look like it's going right there, circle, circle, circle.
- 1:51:59Speaker 7: My mother got back in the car. She's like, what, yeah,
- 1:52:02Speaker 7: we're not supposed to do this. It's crazy. Man. When
- 1:52:04Speaker 7: you're a kid, like you know very well, like this
- 1:52:07Speaker 7: is going to get you in trouble, but you're like, well,
- 1:52:09Speaker 7: let's see.
- 1:52:09Speaker 5: Yeah, And I did a whole magnet in front of
- 1:52:12Speaker 5: the TV. Thing.
- 1:52:13Speaker 7: Oh my god, that's a parent's nightmare.
- 1:52:19Speaker 2: But it looks so cool. It looked like a piece
- 1:52:22Speaker 2: of furniture, Greg, the TV was it like in one
- 1:52:23Speaker 2: of those like what do they call them?
- 1:52:26Speaker 7: Those?
- 1:52:26Speaker 2: Yeah, those TVs that looked like the TV.
- 1:52:29Speaker 8: It was entertainment.
- 1:52:30Speaker 2: The console console, Oh yeah, wooden console.
- 1:52:33Speaker 1: Mine was a wooden console like the It was a
- 1:52:36Speaker 1: piece of furniture. Right nowadays you on TV is flat
- 1:52:39Speaker 1: like this, it's you could get them for like nothing.
- 1:52:42Speaker 1: Back then, it was a giant piece of furniture that
- 1:52:45Speaker 1: had to be dusted, like I would have to pull.
- 1:52:47Speaker 7: Out the pledge and dust it still, stay away from
- 1:52:50Speaker 7: the photos on top of it. Yes.
- 1:52:52Speaker 8: Do you remember how the really rich families had those
- 1:52:54Speaker 8: screens with like the blue light projection TV red light.
- 1:52:57Speaker 2: Yeah, if you're on the side, that was the big
- 1:52:59Speaker 2: deal Man family.
- 1:53:02Speaker 1: Any rich people. I saw that at a store, Like
- 1:53:05Speaker 1: you go into the store display mode, you'd be like.
- 1:53:07Speaker 2: What some people had to televisions?
- 1:53:10Speaker 7: What some kids had.
- 1:53:13Speaker 1: Some people had two phones. I remember we had one
- 1:53:16Speaker 1: phone in the kitchen that was a communal phone. I
- 1:53:18Speaker 1: remember when we added a second line, but not a
- 1:53:21Speaker 1: different line, just to phones, so I could pick up
- 1:53:23Speaker 1: the phone in the living room instead.
- 1:53:25Speaker 8: Holy cow, Morgan never heard I got it hanging out?
- 1:53:30Speaker 2: Are getting kicked off the internet because.
- 1:53:32Speaker 15: I do know about that you do and that screechy.
- 1:53:37Speaker 7: Put it on the level.
- 1:53:38Speaker 2: Yeah, well, Kevin Smith always great. To see it two
- 1:53:41Speaker 2: times within a month, that's that's crazy.
- 1:53:44Speaker 1: Thank you for welcoming me in. And I'm so glad,
- 1:53:47Speaker 1: my god, this's almost at your computer. But I'm so
- 1:53:50Speaker 1: glad I was here to to discover cart narks.
- 1:53:53Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:53:54Speaker 7: I'm gonna think about that forever and.
- 1:53:57Speaker 1: Dates the way I've lived my life because I have
- 1:53:59Speaker 1: always the card away in the last twenty thirty years
- 1:54:03Speaker 1: because I'm like, what if somebody sees me and then
- 1:54:05Speaker 1: come in stuff? Now I know, like I wasn't being
- 1:54:08Speaker 1: parent possibility.
- 1:54:11Speaker 2: Yeah, well, we've invited Kevin to go out carbon arking
- 1:54:14Speaker 2: with Agent Sebastian.
- 1:54:15Speaker 20: I'm doing it, but I think I'm gonna do it
- 1:54:17Speaker 20: a solemn bob. I'm gonna do it with Kevin Smith's
- 1:54:19Speaker 20: funny speak. It would be all sham and be like, hey, man,
- 1:54:22Speaker 20: I made clerks, why are you doing this? You know
- 1:54:25Speaker 20: two things I have nothing to do with each other.
- 1:54:28Speaker 2: Go hang out with Kevin this Sunday, eight pm, his
- 1:54:31Speaker 2: fifty sixth birthday, at the Starlight Cabaret in Studio City.
- 1:54:35Speaker 2: It's tonight of comedy and music. His his, his daughter's
- 1:54:38Speaker 2: band is playing there and it's gonna be fun. You
- 1:54:41Speaker 2: get to watch again age right before.

- 1:54:44Speaker 2: Watch everybody, Such a pleasure, kids, you're doing the Lord's work.
- 1:54:48Speaker 7: Continue on more.
- 1:54:50Speaker 2: What do you show next?
- 1:54:50Speaker 4: Thing up?
- 1:54:55Speaker 7: The Woody Show?
- 1:54:58Speaker 2: This is the Woody Show. I got a a clip
- 1:55:03Speaker 2: here to share with you guys. This this drug dealer
- 1:55:06Speaker 2: in Florida. He ran from the cops. He tried to
- 1:55:09Speaker 2: pull him over, and he took off and then he
- 1:55:11Speaker 2: went into this, uh, this brush next to the highway,
- 1:55:14Speaker 2: which posed zero problem, the zero challenge for the police.
- 1:55:19Speaker 2: Duke and Greg oh Good sniffed him out in record time,
- 1:55:23Speaker 2: and the cops they're arresting him. And as you're gonna
- 1:55:25Speaker 2: hear in this clip from the Body Camp, he was
- 1:55:27Speaker 2: on the phone with his girlfriend while he's being arrested.
- 1:55:32Speaker 2: Now with that, would that impress you, ladies? Absolutely not
- 1:55:36Speaker 2: see it seems like that would be well. But isn't
- 1:55:38Speaker 2: that a preable to Hey, I need to be bailed out? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:55:42Speaker 2: maybe my lady needs to give you money. But something
- 1:55:44Speaker 2: tells me that you know you know, the man getting
- 1:55:47Speaker 2: into a fight, we know would turn Morgan on. She
- 1:55:50Speaker 2: likes that kind of stuff. But getting arrested would that
- 1:55:54Speaker 2: would do it for you?
- 1:55:56Speaker 15: Maybe not like in real time, but if I meet
- 1:55:59Speaker 15: a guy and he has been arrested, I think that's hot.
- 1:56:01Speaker 2: Yeah really so trashy, white trash, And you wonder why
- 1:56:06Speaker 2: she's not? Is it anyway?
- 1:56:09Speaker 5: Is it just the drama?
- 1:56:12Speaker 8: It's a bad boy exact. Isn't he a better bad
- 1:56:17Speaker 8: boy if he doesn't get caught?
- 1:56:18Speaker 2: Oh good, point that you're supposed to grow that when
- 1:56:22Speaker 2: you're like twenty five.
- 1:56:22Speaker 15: You're supposed to I'm holding my youth.
- 1:56:26Speaker 2: The cop to arresting him, he's on the phone with
- 1:56:27Speaker 2: his girlfriend, gives the girlfriend a shout out during the
- 1:56:31Speaker 2: arrest to me, I don't care.
- 1:56:33Speaker 7: Come on to me, show me your hand, we'll get it.
- 1:56:38Speaker 7: I love.
- 1:56:45Speaker 2: I love, I love you. That's what's up.
- 1:56:48Speaker 8: I love you?
- 1:56:49Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:56:49Speaker 2: Yeah, you know you want to secure the bail money
- 1:56:53Speaker 2: or or he loves her or he loves that is
- 1:56:57Speaker 2: going through his mind right now? Yeah sure, I don't know.
- 1:56:59Speaker 2: How about that emotion of love? Oh yeah? The other
- 1:57:01Speaker 2: body camp footage, the Tony Romo, Oh so good. Oh yeah,
- 1:57:06Speaker 2: old w I Oh right, yeah, operating while intoxicated. Yeah,
- 1:57:12Speaker 2: that's what the official charge was. So this is his
- 1:57:15Speaker 2: drunk driving arrest. And he tells the cop he's on
- 1:57:18Speaker 2: his way to see his grandma and grandpa.
- 1:57:21Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:57:21Speaker 2: Here we got a couple of clips of Tony Romo
- 1:57:23Speaker 2: and his encounter with the law for the DWI.
- 1:57:26Speaker 15: Where are you coming from.
- 1:57:27Speaker 7: The golf course? Grandpa?
- 1:57:30Speaker 15: Okay, how many drinks have you have? Are you willing
- 1:57:33Speaker 15: to take any clips?
- 1:57:34Speaker 13: Sobriety said, okay, step out of the vehicle, step out
- 1:57:39Speaker 13: of the turn around for me.
- 1:57:41Speaker 2: All right, Okay, so what he did this is not
- 1:57:44Speaker 2: so bad at all.
- 1:57:45Speaker 6: He did the exact right thing because at the second
- 1:57:48Speaker 6: they ask you to step out the vehicle for you
- 1:57:50Speaker 6: are going to jail.
- 1:57:52Speaker 2: There's nothing you.
- 1:57:52Speaker 6: Can about at that point the field. Sobriety, that isn't
- 1:57:55Speaker 6: a past fail thing. That's just to gather evidence on you.
- 1:57:58Speaker 6: You're going to go to jail because are gonna find
- 1:58:00Speaker 6: a way to make you fail that and he and
- 1:58:02Speaker 6: he knows right then and there, Yes, I'm gonna spend
- 1:58:04Speaker 6: the night in jail.
- 1:58:04Speaker 2: I'm gonnaet arrested, but I'm not I'm not gonna blow.
- 1:58:06Speaker 2: Do you have any personal experience with this? I'm asking
- 1:58:10Speaker 2: this legit question, but I've talked to We used to
- 1:58:12Speaker 2: have a du I lawyer on our old show, so
- 1:58:14Speaker 2: that's what I.
- 1:58:15Speaker 8: Very anyone ever passed?
- 1:58:19Speaker 15: Did he didn't? That just happen not too long ago?
- 1:58:22Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 1:58:23Speaker 2: Wait, yeah, I think I remember something like that. Yeah,
- 1:58:25Speaker 2: because you said talked about we can just tap in
- 1:58:28Speaker 2: the vomba. I always forget we have a microphone over
- 1:58:30Speaker 2: there in the history that passed. How does he?
- 1:58:37Speaker 8: I don't think that's normal.
- 1:58:38Speaker 2: You don't have Was this a d w R? Or
- 1:58:40Speaker 2: do you stop and they made you get out?
- 1:58:41Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 1:58:42Speaker 2: What happened?
- 1:58:42Speaker 12: So they put me over thought I was tricking and driving.
- 1:58:46Speaker 12: I had smoked, Sure they did.
- 1:58:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I have another theory. Look at his shirt. By
- 1:58:51Speaker 2: the way, he's wearing a Dare shirt. I wear this shirt.
- 1:58:57Speaker 8: Just say no Tom not being high exactly.
- 1:59:00Speaker 12: But put me over thought. I was driving, driving drunk.
- 1:59:02Speaker 12: I swerved a little bit looking for my friend's house,
- 1:59:04Speaker 12: and I got out of the car, told him that
- 1:59:06Speaker 12: smoked about an hour earlier, and then I went through
- 1:59:09Speaker 12: all of that. They smelled the weed, so they cups
- 1:59:11Speaker 12: and smelled so I'm not a lion. Is the worst
- 1:59:14Speaker 12: thing you can do.
- 1:59:15Speaker 2: For So that's his permanent smell. Yeah, he won't. He
- 1:59:20Speaker 2: won't smoke for a week, and he'll still from all
- 1:59:23Speaker 2: the marijuana.
- 1:59:23Speaker 7: He is concerned.
- 1:59:24Speaker 2: Yeah, but I think they let you go off of
- 1:59:26Speaker 2: vibes though, right, because you were a vibeing with them.
- 1:59:28Speaker 12: That's probably it, you know, just too cool to go.
- 1:59:30Speaker 8: To the walk the straight Line?
- 1:59:32Speaker 12: Oh yeah, I did the entire walk the straight Line,
- 1:59:34Speaker 12: count thirty with your eyes closed?
- 1:59:37Speaker 7: Got it?
- 1:59:38Speaker 2: Now, to be honest, do you think that you should
- 1:59:40Speaker 2: have been arrested?
- 1:59:42Speaker 17: No?
- 1:59:42Speaker 12: No, no, no, no no no no no.
- 1:59:44Speaker 2: Were you you know, honestly, were you impaired enough that.
- 1:59:49Speaker 7: You know not?
- 1:59:50Speaker 12: I wasn't part at all. The reason I sw was
- 1:59:51Speaker 12: because looking from our friend's house and I was like,
- 1:59:54Speaker 12: you know, trying to find him, like look one way
- 1:59:56Speaker 12: and your arms like come naturally turned.
- 1:59:58Speaker 2: That I mean just because you're really good at it,
- 2:00:01Speaker 2: you know what I mean? Like, I know, like I'm
- 2:00:02Speaker 2: a really good texter and driver, but I know I'm
- 2:00:05Speaker 2: not supposed to be doing that.
- 2:00:06Speaker 12: Well, I'm pretty good driving when I'm high.
- 2:00:08Speaker 2: Sorry, that's because for some reason, dude, it's always it's
- 2:00:14Speaker 2: always the weed people who will sit there and argue
- 2:00:17Speaker 2: with you that they're a better driver when they're high,
- 2:00:20Speaker 2: or that it doesn't matter.
- 2:00:21Speaker 7: Like you know, drinking.
- 2:00:23Speaker 2: They will argue that there is a difference between being
- 2:00:26Speaker 2: drunk and driving and being high. I think there is, definitely.
- 2:00:30Speaker 2: I still want to do it. Look at the steps,
- 2:00:32Speaker 2: you know, if you feel different, you drive different. Sad
- 2:00:41Speaker 2: one more Tony Romo Clipper.
- 2:00:43Speaker 15: And then when my partner brought the backpack that you
- 2:00:45Speaker 15: wanted and there were a few shooters in there that
- 2:00:48Speaker 15: I observed, drink you willing to submit to a PBT.
- 2:00:54Speaker 2: What is that machine that you've b on?
- 2:00:57Speaker 7: We're not doing that, ultimle, don't ever do that.
- 2:01:01Speaker 2: Okay, No I didn't.
- 2:01:07Speaker 7: Because there's a plane taking off.
- 2:01:13Speaker 2: Yeah, well we'll get your parents.
- 2:01:14Speaker 8: Mister Romo, did I pass turn around?
- 2:01:16Speaker 7: You're supposed to.
- 2:01:17Speaker 2: Know personal breath?
- 2:01:20Speaker 7: Probably?
- 2:01:21Speaker 2: So, yeah.
- 2:01:21Speaker 7: He he just said.
- 2:01:22Speaker 6: What I was saying is that because I'm sure he's
- 2:01:24Speaker 6: been drilled into his head once. Once you're in that position,
- 2:01:27Speaker 6: it's you cannot win. Yeah, you can only provide them
- 2:01:29Speaker 6: more evidence. He's actually talking way more than he should.
- 2:01:32Speaker 5: Exactly.
- 2:01:33Speaker 2: Yeah, no, no, thank you. All right, Oh cool, just
- 2:01:35Speaker 2: take me in. I shut up. But I mean, but
- 2:01:38Speaker 2: at that point is in he already screwed. And I mean,
- 2:01:39Speaker 2: you know what, what did he say.
- 2:01:41Speaker 10: The context that you don't build more evidence against you,
- 2:01:44Speaker 10: You just shut up, get in the car, and then
- 2:01:47Speaker 10: call your lawyer. That's I think he did the right
- 2:01:49Speaker 10: because he said I'm you know, I'm gonna call my lawyer.
- 2:01:51Speaker 10: That was the first thing, and the second he said, no,
- 2:01:53Speaker 10: I'm not going to do that.
- 2:01:54Speaker 2: So he declined.
- 2:01:55Speaker 6: She said she found the shooters are airplane bottles in
- 2:01:57Speaker 6: his bag. He and he rightly said they're not drunk.
- 2:02:00Speaker 8: Yeah there, they weren't open.
- 2:02:01Speaker 2: I had a little bit of back talking on his end.
- 2:02:02Speaker 2: I might have said it was cool and he wasn't
- 2:02:04Speaker 2: like being like He's like, wasn't But what does that mean.
- 2:02:07Speaker 2: It's just like if I went to the store and
- 2:02:08Speaker 2: I bought a case of beer. It's not like there's
- 2:02:12Speaker 2: a bunch of go back and forth about it.
- 2:02:14Speaker 6: Well, I'm not arguing that. I'm saying that overall, he's
- 2:02:17Speaker 6: not a bad interaction. He's never not going to get
- 2:02:19Speaker 6: arrested during that whole interaction. So he's just like let's
- 2:02:21Speaker 6: just get this done with get my lawyers. I think
- 2:02:23Speaker 6: he comes up pretty damn good there.
- 2:02:25Speaker 2: Yeah, did you ever see the videos Menace of the
- 2:02:27Speaker 2: Guy or Jeff, I'm sure you've seen this. This guy
- 2:02:30Speaker 2: he works with kids like in the inner cities and
- 2:02:32Speaker 2: stuff and like some of the the poor, like minority
- 2:02:35Speaker 2: areas and how to deal And he's like a dude
- 2:02:38Speaker 2: who's like teaching these kids how you interact with a
- 2:02:41Speaker 2: police officer, how you interact in a certain situation.
- 2:02:43Speaker 7: I'm not.
- 2:02:45Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it's really good. He's he's awesome because they'll
- 2:02:48Speaker 2: they'll do like a whole thing where they acted out
- 2:02:50Speaker 2: and they're they're teaching the kids these things about like
- 2:02:53Speaker 2: what you do and what you do not say, and
- 2:02:56Speaker 2: how to say it properly exactly. I've seen school. We're
- 2:03:00Speaker 2: gonna bring up the video he's doing the lord's work
- 2:03:01Speaker 2: he's doing. I think he's doing a really good job.
- 2:03:03Speaker 2: He's he's funny too. That guy's funny of the little
- 2:03:05Speaker 2: person climbing up the light pole in Vegas when the
- 2:03:08Speaker 2: cops were trying to talk to him. No, I've not
- 2:03:10Speaker 2: seen that one. That's a good one. I mean, dude,
- 2:03:12Speaker 2: I built a pretty good algorithm. I have not seen
- 2:03:16Speaker 2: what I've not seen that right yet.
- 2:03:17Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a little dwarf who shim up a pole
- 2:03:20Speaker 5: in Vegas? Yeah, the wh.
- 2:03:27Speaker 2: So uh, Jet Blue is trying to make first class
- 2:03:30Speaker 2: flying a little bit more affordable. So we're not We're
- 2:03:33Speaker 2: not saying cheap, they're saying more affordable. That just means
- 2:03:38Speaker 2: less expensive, still expensive on the pretty cheap sid Already,
- 2:03:43Speaker 2: those Mint packages could be quite affordable, I would agree,
- 2:03:46Speaker 2: comparing to others, Yes, but just in general, you know,
- 2:03:51Speaker 2: I mean, just flying in general is is still really expensive.
- 2:03:54Speaker 2: I mean I've gotten really good.
- 2:03:55Speaker 10: Last minute upgrades, like at the airport, like before the flight, like,
- 2:04:00Speaker 10: but never beforehand.
- 2:04:02Speaker 2: They're announcing a new fair. It's called Blue first Base.
- 2:04:06Speaker 2: You get in the first Base. The only confirmed lost
- 2:04:10Speaker 2: features so far is the ability to select your seat
- 2:04:13Speaker 2: in first class, so you still may end up in
- 2:04:15Speaker 2: one that you don't want. But I mean, now, who cares.
- 2:04:17Speaker 2: Now on the flip side, the fair is cheaper than
- 2:04:19Speaker 2: normal first class, and I just expected to roll out
- 2:04:22Speaker 2: here shortly. Now I saw a whole thing about why
- 2:04:25Speaker 2: flying has become more expensive That has nothing to do
- 2:04:27Speaker 2: with the fuel, has nothing to do with the fuel
- 2:04:30Speaker 2: or anything else. The airlines have realized that one first
- 2:04:35Speaker 2: class seat one at regular fair brings in more revenue
- 2:04:41Speaker 2: than three rows of economy row US first class people
- 2:04:45Speaker 2: are paying for the rest of you US first class people,
- 2:04:51Speaker 2: which obviously I knew that they made more on the
- 2:04:53Speaker 2: first class seat than they did on the rest. But
- 2:04:55Speaker 2: like Man three, they said, on average, on average one
- 2:04:58Speaker 2: the revenue for one first class seat is more than
- 2:05:02Speaker 2: what they get the rows of economy. When you look
- 2:05:06Speaker 2: at the booking, like dude, there's no middle ground. It's
- 2:05:10Speaker 2: either cheap af or The other reason Yeah goes to
- 2:05:17Speaker 2: this point is that now all the airlines are reconfiguring
- 2:05:20Speaker 2: all their planes to have more of these premium seating options,
- 2:05:23Speaker 2: whether it's first class removed, yeah, or the expanded quote
- 2:05:29Speaker 2: premium economies you have more leg room. And then the
- 2:05:32Speaker 2: actual rows of economy economy there's like five of those.
- 2:05:36Speaker 2: That's how all the planes are. So that's why the
- 2:05:38Speaker 2: overall the price is more because they're making more by
- 2:05:41Speaker 2: selling these premium these premium seats. All I would like
- 2:05:45Speaker 2: is a thank you for your service when you're walking
- 2:05:46Speaker 2: past me towards your back seat. Please, okay, here we go.
- 2:05:50Speaker 2: The numbers don't lie, No, they don't lie, thank you.
- 2:05:53Speaker 2: But that's that's why. So whereas there might have been
- 2:05:57Speaker 2: what three three or four rows of first class, two
- 2:06:00Speaker 2: per side, and then the rest, the rest was all
- 2:06:03Speaker 2: the economy seats, and they were all the same, those
- 2:06:06Speaker 2: days are done those days And was it the United
- 2:06:10Speaker 2: or somebody recently They they're waiting to get some kind
- 2:06:13Speaker 2: of sign off from some official agency, I forget which one,
- 2:06:17Speaker 2: and so in the meantime, in the meantime, they just
- 2:06:20Speaker 2: made the almost the entire plane first class seats. The
- 2:06:23Speaker 2: entire plane is first class seats.
- 2:06:25Speaker 7: I know.
- 2:06:25Speaker 2: There's like a Singapore airline that's like that.
- 2:06:28Speaker 8: I thought you were going to say that that crazy,
- 2:06:30Speaker 8: that crazy blueprint that you always see circulating a couple
- 2:06:33Speaker 8: of times a year where it's kind of stacked like
- 2:06:36Speaker 8: two stores, one on top and then one on the bottom.
- 2:06:39Speaker 8: Of your lives are under the other seats straight out.
- 2:06:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't. I don't think the airlines are looking
- 2:06:46Speaker 2: to do stuff like that. I think it's the opposite.
- 2:06:49Speaker 2: It's the opposite. So that's why it's you know, we
- 2:06:54Speaker 2: get like a Southwest, even Southwest now a lot of
- 2:06:57Speaker 2: their seating is now the extra leg room seating because
- 2:07:00Speaker 2: I'll charge more those I mean they charged more in general.
- 2:07:04Speaker 7: Dude.
- 2:07:04Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, god, it's so exciting. No, not a discun airline,
- 2:07:08Speaker 2: I would say, by any mean no, not anymore. People
- 2:07:11Speaker 2: always cry about leg room. But if you're average size
- 2:07:14Speaker 2: or six feet and morgan, no one's here taller than
- 2:07:16Speaker 2: six foot one in this room.
- 2:07:17Speaker 15: I know you are fine.
- 2:07:19Speaker 2: I have no problem with the leg room.
- 2:07:20Speaker 6: I have problem with touching some fat shoulder and and
- 2:07:25Speaker 6: belly fat and side fat mass fat. Well, I told
- 2:07:29Speaker 6: you I'm not if it's if it's over two hours,
- 2:07:33Speaker 6: it's first class only.
- 2:07:34Speaker 2: That's the protein. That's a hack for all you. He's
- 2:07:38Speaker 2: a humble guy.
- 2:07:39Speaker 5: Intel room book the suite, yeah, or look up that website.
- 2:07:47Speaker 10: I was talking about seat maps dot com. Yes, and
- 2:07:51Speaker 10: they'll like show you the configuration of the plane and
- 2:07:54Speaker 10: then sometimes you can like, oh, this seat is actually
- 2:07:57Speaker 10: pretty cool because you would know that there wasn't a
- 2:07:59Speaker 10: person in front of you. Yeah, person in front of
- 2:08:01Speaker 10: you and things like that.
- 2:08:02Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:08:02Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 2:08:03Speaker 2: There is the same same type of math being done
- 2:08:06Speaker 2: on hotels. Like they're not building any more Hampton ends.
- 2:08:10Speaker 2: You know, they're just not. They're not building that level
- 2:08:13Speaker 2: of hotel anymore. Now they're building all stuff that is,
- 2:08:16Speaker 2: uh that brings in the higher dollar for that same
- 2:08:19Speaker 2: traveler who's paying for the premium seat on the airline.
- 2:08:23Speaker 2: So it's all going that way. What they call it
- 2:08:25Speaker 2: a K graph. So it's like yeah, so it's yeah,
- 2:08:30Speaker 2: so like one is going super high, the other one
- 2:08:32Speaker 2: is going from affordable all the way down to the
- 2:08:34Speaker 2: other side. So it's becoming, you know, a rich person's game.
- 2:08:38Speaker 2: Middle traveling in general time just in general, know what
- 2:08:42Speaker 2: I'm saying, But like where it's like there is no
- 2:08:44Speaker 2: middle ground. Nobody, nobody's fighting for, nobody's fighting for the economy.
- 2:08:50Speaker 2: There's either motel six or four seasons. Yeah, pretty much
- 2:08:53Speaker 2: there's nothing in between.
- 2:08:54Speaker 6: To me. The hotel, I don't know, you kind of
- 2:08:55Speaker 6: feel this way. What the hotel I do not care
- 2:08:57Speaker 6: about as much really at all. As long as it's clean,
- 2:09:01Speaker 6: conditioned and the.
- 2:09:02Speaker 2: Shower has hot water.
- 2:09:03Speaker 7: Right.
- 2:09:03Speaker 2: I can't tell you how many times, man, we go
- 2:09:05Speaker 2: to like some place and uh, for whatever, it's my room,
- 2:09:08Speaker 2: my room, the shower doesn't get hot the.
- 2:09:11Speaker 5: Shower, the rental cars, the rental car is not right,
- 2:09:15Speaker 5: I had this big stretch of my life where every
- 2:09:17Speaker 5: hotel room I got was the handicap room.
- 2:09:19Speaker 2: So walking giant when you're checking in greg and they
- 2:09:25Speaker 2: think you need it, that's probably.
- 2:09:27Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 2:09:27Speaker 2: I almost had a freaking heart attack with one of
- 2:09:29Speaker 2: those rooms. I didn't realize it was one of those
- 2:09:31Speaker 2: rooms and uh something whatever it was the the the
- 2:09:35Speaker 2: the sound went off. It's supposed to get the person's attention,
- 2:09:39Speaker 2: deaf person. Dude, that thing your pants damn near stop
- 2:09:44Speaker 2: my heart?
- 2:09:44Speaker 1: What is that?
- 2:09:46Speaker 2: Holy crap? Yeah, freaking out. That's a good question.
- 2:09:50Speaker 8: See be because you said you essentially you'd rather fly
- 2:09:52Speaker 8: first class than stay in a nice hotel.
- 2:09:54Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 2:09:54Speaker 2: Like I say that the Marriot has a thing called
- 2:09:56Speaker 2: Moxie and they are tiny little traveler rooms.
- 2:09:59Speaker 8: That's so interesting because I am the exact opposite. I
- 2:10:01Speaker 8: have flown all over the world in economy and when
- 2:10:03Speaker 8: I get there, I want a beautiful hotel room. And
- 2:10:05Speaker 8: now it doesn't have to be the best one, but
- 2:10:07Speaker 8: I'd like to walk in and be like, look at.
- 2:10:08Speaker 2: This, I'm on vacation.
- 2:10:09Speaker 15: See.
- 2:10:10Speaker 2: I think that's a girl thing because you guys want
- 2:10:12Speaker 2: stuff to be cut. Yeah, but it's not.
- 2:10:14Speaker 8: It's just like this is where I'm gonna be spending
- 2:10:16Speaker 8: every night, or this is where I'm gonna be lounging
- 2:10:17Speaker 8: around and the plane ride's over. I don't really care
- 2:10:20Speaker 8: about that anymore.
- 2:10:21Speaker 2: I hate people, I think more.
- 2:10:22Speaker 8: That's actually that I buy that.
