- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hey, guys, welcome to the Almost Famous Podcast.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Today we're breaking down the Golden Bachelor the women Tell
- 0:12Speaker 3: All episode, which who It was a shocking shocking episode
- 0:17Speaker 3: for me, not so much for Ben apparently, but let's
- 0:22Speaker 3: let's let's go through that same It was.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Ben Theresa this entire time, and I.
- 0:28Speaker 4: Was switched last week?
- 0:30Speaker 2: Yeah you did? You did?
- 0:31Speaker 4: I said, Hey, he said stuff to Faith that he
- 0:33Speaker 4: didn't say to Teresa. I don't think I can put
- 0:35Speaker 4: my eggs in Teresa's basket. Now. I am a Faith guy,
- 0:37Speaker 4: I'm a Leslie guy, and we're running with this. However, ultimately,
- 0:42Speaker 4: you know what, Hindsight's twenty twenty guess who's right? I
- 0:46Speaker 4: was right right not last week, guys.
- 0:48Speaker 2: I said it on my Instagram.
- 0:49Speaker 3: I felt like this was a two thousand and aughts
- 0:53Speaker 3: episode of American Idol, like a Chris Daughtry elimination to me, okay,
- 0:58Speaker 3: I was like, oh, taken aback, and you know, well,
- 1:03Speaker 3: I just I want answers from Gary. I didn't get
- 1:06Speaker 3: enough last night. I want to know why he chose
- 1:09Speaker 3: Theresa over Faith who he announced his love for But first,
- 1:13Speaker 3: before we get to that stuff, and we have another
- 1:15Speaker 3: Grandma on this week and we'll talk to her about
- 1:18Speaker 3: the faith elimination, let's talk about just the women not
- 1:22Speaker 3: really telling all because they are all very happy and
- 1:26Speaker 3: love each other and love Gary. Still there's no animosity
- 1:29Speaker 3: amongst any of these ladies, and they still all were like,
- 1:33Speaker 3: Gary would love to be with him.
- 1:36Speaker 4: Yeah, have we ever seen in a tell like this? Never?
- 1:40Speaker 2: So it was really sweet.
- 1:42Speaker 4: It was sweet. Now, a few things that we need
- 1:45Speaker 4: to touch on. One I think is the hot seat
- 1:47Speaker 4: with Joan and Joan it was a lot more emotional
- 1:51Speaker 4: than I expected. That one was probably the biggest surprise
- 1:54Speaker 4: other than face Obviously emotion coming out I didn't necessarily
- 1:58Speaker 4: get surprised by because I expected in a sense. But
- 2:01Speaker 4: Joan to me was sitting there. I mean she said
- 2:04Speaker 4: the words. There were days I drove home and thought
- 2:07Speaker 4: you might be sitting on my doorsteps. No. I think Joan,
- 2:13Speaker 4: if given the more appropriate situation, would have been like Gary,
- 2:16Speaker 4: like I want to make this work with you now,
- 2:19Speaker 4: and I think we can make it work. There has
- 2:22Speaker 4: been a turmoil in her soul. It felt like that
- 2:26Speaker 4: she was trying to express to him on stage.
- 2:29Speaker 2: She wanted to be respectful at the same time. You
- 2:32Speaker 2: could tell she.
- 2:32Speaker 4: Did a great job at it, but it was deeper
- 2:34Speaker 4: than I expected.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Yeah, because didn't she say something like I don't want
- 2:37Speaker 3: to like she wanted to touch him too, just like
- 2:39Speaker 3: Faith did, but like she was like, oh, I think
- 2:42Speaker 3: she in her head was like, oh, you're probably you're
- 2:44Speaker 3: with somebody, so I want to respect her.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Yeah, this is really sad.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Her daughter had bad case of Postparwerm depression, so she
- 2:53Speaker 3: had to go home after a one on one with him, and.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Man, it's just the timing.
- 3:00Speaker 3: And she says when asked by Jesse whether or not
- 3:04Speaker 3: she thinks it could have been her in the end,
- 3:05Speaker 3: and she said yes, but we'll never know unless something happens,
- 3:12Speaker 3: which was Gary, we don't want this to happen, not
- 3:15Speaker 3: rooting for it. But if Gary doesn't end up with
- 3:17Speaker 3: this lady that he ends up with, I could see
- 3:20Speaker 3: him going to one of his past contestants, particularly Joan,
- 3:25Speaker 3: because he didn't get a full run with her.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Sure. Actually, I agree with what you're saying. I understand
- 3:30Speaker 4: what you're saying. I do think that's true. I think
- 3:34Speaker 4: there's only a few that he'd be interested in doing
- 3:36Speaker 4: that with U, and I think Joan is one of those.
- 3:40Speaker 4: I do still think Faith is one of those. I
- 3:42Speaker 4: think his second choice is going to be one of those. Yeah.
- 3:44Speaker 2: So those three basically.
- 3:46Speaker 4: Yeah, because it felt like a lot of the Ellen
- 3:49Speaker 4: maybe I don't know.
- 3:51Speaker 3: I feel like he wanted it to be with Ellen.
- 3:53Speaker 3: He wanted to feel it with Ellen.
- 3:55Speaker 2: But he didn't.
- 3:56Speaker 3: It didn't compare to the other three, So I don't
- 3:59Speaker 3: think he would go to somebody who didn't.
- 4:00Speaker 4: Compare with And here's my also hope and thought actually
- 4:05Speaker 4: is because somebody mentioned it last night, the women now
- 4:12Speaker 4: are gonna start putting their foot forward to start to
- 4:14Speaker 4: date again. And I'm hoping all of them are now
- 4:16Speaker 4: dating with somebody and like finding out what they're into,
- 4:20Speaker 4: just like the show does for all of us. It
- 4:21Speaker 4: has right every year. It makes you see what you're
- 4:25Speaker 4: into more and less, what you're looking for more or less,
- 4:28Speaker 4: and you're more prepared to get out there and date
- 4:31Speaker 4: again after the show. And so I'm hoping these women
- 4:35Speaker 4: now are like, yeah, Gary, you're great, and I still
- 4:37Speaker 4: think you're awesome, but I am dating somebody new and
- 4:41Speaker 4: I'm excited about that. And so like, yes, we're not
- 4:43Speaker 4: going to work out. So I think I think I
- 4:45Speaker 4: do see what you're saying. There still is that care.
- 4:47Speaker 4: And I believe Gary when he says he loves these women.
- 4:50Speaker 4: I think he does. He says it to all of them,
- 4:53Speaker 4: I love you. I believe he feels it and means it.
- 4:56Speaker 1: M h.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Not to switch to switch gears. I got to talk
- 5:01Speaker 2: about the Chris.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Jitter cameo, which was held by a phone by Jesse.
- 5:07Speaker 4: Yeah, I still think it's good. I still think it's
- 5:09Speaker 4: still great.
- 5:10Speaker 2: It was still great.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Made everybody really happy, of course Susan, mostly because you know,
- 5:16Speaker 3: Chris gave her a special shout out.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Yeah, and it was cool.
- 5:19Speaker 3: It was It was cool because, like you can tell,
- 5:21Speaker 3: she's genuinely been following this season. And you touch on
- 5:25Speaker 3: that in our on our Bachelor in Paradise episode, you
- 5:28Speaker 3: said you knew this was coming.
- 5:30Speaker 4: Who told you that? Well, I watched the episode already
- 5:37Speaker 4: it was coming. But that was my big teasers. Yes,
- 5:40Speaker 4: Chris Jitter does make a cameo. I think it's fantastic.
- 5:43Speaker 4: The you know we're we are going to bring in
- 5:45Speaker 4: Ninas here in just a second to kind of talk
- 5:48Speaker 4: about the emotions of the evening and everything going on
- 5:52Speaker 4: in the Bachelor or everything going on uh from this
- 5:56Speaker 4: tell all uh, but anything else before we bring her
- 6:01Speaker 4: on that you think is we're speaking of. I would
- 6:05Speaker 4: say the bloopers, Oh, okay, are really worth it.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Yeah, my sister loved the bloopers.
- 6:10Speaker 3: She was like, this is the greatest real that they've
- 6:12Speaker 3: had in such a long time. It was the arts
- 6:14Speaker 3: that of course, yeah, so gas focused and then the
- 6:18Speaker 3: guacamole causing gas.
- 6:21Speaker 4: I don't know, it's the gak onions. Maybe they could
- 6:24Speaker 4: have been the onions in the golf. I still think
- 6:27Speaker 4: it's the meat balls. I would just say this and this.
- 6:30Speaker 4: You know, we we over the last few weeks have
- 6:32Speaker 4: been sick of talking about, you know, potty jokes like
- 6:35Speaker 4: it's they're not that funny and they're not that original.
- 6:37Speaker 4: Sam poop the Sam pooping on Paradise, Like we're sick
- 6:40Speaker 4: of it. However, I have to give credit where credit
- 6:44Speaker 4: is due. I've never heard a more confident and loud
- 6:49Speaker 4: and long fart than what we heard from Sondra, Like
- 6:51Speaker 4: I've never in my life, and I've been around a
- 6:53Speaker 4: lot of dudes, and I've been around a lot of
- 6:54Speaker 4: locker rooms. I've never ever, ever I thought it was fake.
- 7:01Speaker 4: I thought they were just like making a sound go
- 7:03Speaker 4: behind the scenes there right until you were saying and
- 7:08Speaker 4: I was like, that is amazing, Like it was the
- 7:11Speaker 4: perfect clip. She was like it was weird. Typically like
- 7:14Speaker 4: gas is not something that like is. It's a pretty
- 7:16Speaker 4: big turn off to me. For her, I was like, damn,
- 7:19Speaker 4: Like that was the most like confident, cool way of
- 7:22Speaker 4: I've ever seen anybody release themselves.
- 7:25Speaker 3: It's so funny the difference between girls of that age
- 7:28Speaker 3: and girls of our age, Like eventually with your closest friends,
- 7:32Speaker 3: you're like, guys, leave the room. I just farted a
- 7:35Speaker 3: real bad fart, but like to show it off. I
- 7:38Speaker 3: don't know if we'll ever get there that maybe we will.
- 7:41Speaker 3: The other thing we need to talk about is sad,
- 7:45Speaker 3: very sad Ellen. Yeah, and Ellen, the loss of Ellen's
- 7:50Speaker 3: best friend who she signed her up for the show
- 7:53Speaker 3: or like in a you know, a pack they kind
- 7:56Speaker 3: of signed her up for the show, and.
- 8:01Speaker 2: So sad.
- 8:01Speaker 4: Her daughter was there though, and it was a really
- 8:04Speaker 4: beautiful moment where Ellen gets to see her daughter and
- 8:07Speaker 4: her daughter says some of the sweetest and kindest words
- 8:09Speaker 4: to her. Jesse crying, Yeah, Jesse got emotional. It is
- 8:14Speaker 4: very emotional, right, like there is there. It's the part
- 8:18Speaker 4: of this show that could be unique if seasons continue,
- 8:24Speaker 4: would be as you know, we get older, death is
- 8:27Speaker 4: it happens every of us, all of us, Like it's
- 8:29Speaker 4: the one thing all of us have in common, and
- 8:30Speaker 4: it is going to be more prevalent because you know,
- 8:34Speaker 4: life goes on and disease happens, and these you know,
- 8:38Speaker 4: these people are having friendships with people who have been
- 8:41Speaker 4: through a lot of life. But it's not easy and
- 8:44Speaker 4: it's not it's not great. And I just wish her
- 8:48Speaker 4: friend could have seen this season play out like that.
- 8:53Speaker 3: I know that seems like she said, she goes, you
- 8:57Speaker 3: should go now we'll just watch it from different places.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Because they just dreamed about watching it together on the couch.
- 9:08Speaker 2: It was so sad.
- 9:11Speaker 4: It was sad, and then it was a beautiful moment
- 9:12Speaker 4: with her daughter and her daughter being able to be
- 9:14Speaker 4: there and and speak those words to Ellen and just
- 9:17Speaker 4: you know, be a part of that that show. Last evening,
- 9:21Speaker 4: it was Ashley, you know, as we close up here,
- 9:23Speaker 4: it was the most fun tell all I have watched
- 9:28Speaker 4: in a long time I've said that, probably about this
- 9:29Speaker 4: whole season. Nobody's It's not a secret that I'm a
- 9:34Speaker 4: huge fan of The Golden I think there's so many
- 9:36Speaker 4: cool elements to it, and I think it's been a
- 9:37Speaker 4: really fun watch and a lot to learn as we've
- 9:40Speaker 4: seen how these women navigate with each other and how
- 9:43Speaker 4: supportive they are of each other, how fun they are
- 9:45Speaker 4: with each other, but then also seeing Gary's journey and
- 9:49Speaker 4: how he is so committed to finding love and at
- 9:52Speaker 4: this point he's really expressing love and I don't it's
- 9:56Speaker 4: you know, I hope that works out for him, But
- 9:59Speaker 4: it was the it was the best tell all that
- 10:03Speaker 4: I've seen a long time. I want it to be longer.
- 10:07Speaker 4: I want more episodes. I feel like these hour long
- 10:10Speaker 4: segments are just not enough for my viewing pleasure.
- 10:14Speaker 3: This felt like enough to me, but every other episode
- 10:16Speaker 3: has definitely not. And before we get our Grandma on,
- 10:22Speaker 3: I just need to say Sandra is seventy five. She
- 10:27Speaker 3: looks twenty years younger.
- 10:30Speaker 4: Oh easily, I mean she easily mind blowing.
- 10:35Speaker 3: She started the crowd with the calmed each other by
- 10:38Speaker 3: going love it.
- 10:41Speaker 4: Maybe that's the secret to anti aging. Yeah, no, yeah,
- 10:47Speaker 4: maybe it's the secret to anti aging. I don't know,
- 10:49Speaker 4: but she looks amazing. I mean, honestly, all of these
- 10:54Speaker 4: women didn't. I think the other part of this show
- 10:57Speaker 4: that they're gonna have a hard time with and how
- 10:58Speaker 4: is how in the world do they cast from hearing out?
- 11:00Speaker 4: Because this was a great cast, It was a great
- 11:03Speaker 4: Golden I.
- 11:04Speaker 3: Actually have a lot of faith in them being able
- 11:07Speaker 3: to cast amazing women going forward.
- 11:10Speaker 4: They just had to get it started and showed that, hey,
- 11:13Speaker 4: this could be a really good thing.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Yes, they're could be so many applicants.
- 11:15Speaker 4: Because of so many applicants, that's true. Okay, hey, let's
- 11:18Speaker 4: bring in Inez. Let's talk about the rest of the
- 11:20Speaker 4: tell all. I know she has some strong thoughts. She
- 11:24Speaker 4: is a big fan of the Bachelor franchise, watches The
- 11:26Speaker 4: Bachelor Bachelor at Paradise Everything obviously the Golden because that's
- 11:30Speaker 4: why she's here. Let's bring her out. As every week
- 11:43Speaker 4: we get the pleasure, the privilege, the honor of having
- 11:46Speaker 4: some incredible people join us to break down the Golden Bachelor.
- 11:49Speaker 4: This week we have Inez, who we know through one
- 11:52Speaker 4: of the producers at iHeart thanks for joining us.
- 11:57Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 11:59Speaker 2: So last night was just a shocking episode.
- 12:01Speaker 3: We've already recapped it, but we want to know all
- 12:04Speaker 3: your initial takeaways.
- 12:07Speaker 5: Okay, So I basically feel that this group of women
- 12:12Speaker 5: is just amazing. I think they're so the camaradity that
- 12:18Speaker 5: I see here, and they all stick together and they
- 12:21Speaker 5: all support each other. That is so unusual for me
- 12:24Speaker 5: because obviously I watch. The reason I'm even here is
- 12:28Speaker 5: because my kids know I'm like love The Bachelor, and
- 12:32Speaker 5: I watch all of the episodes, like way before this
- 12:35Speaker 5: even started, and I've never seen that in a group
- 12:38Speaker 5: of women before. Usually they're fighting each other, there are
- 12:43Speaker 5: all kinds of schemes. I mean, it's so this is
- 12:46Speaker 5: refreshing to see. So that's what I love about it.
- 12:52Speaker 5: The parts that really I did not like is how
- 12:56Speaker 5: he's telling these the women that he was serious with,
- 13:02Speaker 5: that he was really in love with them. And when
- 13:06Speaker 5: you do that to an older woman. I know, the
- 13:09Speaker 5: other guys did that in the twenties and they're in
- 13:11Speaker 5: their thirties, you know, it's different when you do this
- 13:15Speaker 5: to people that are like sixty five and older, it's
- 13:19Speaker 5: really intense. I mean, they take it very serious to
- 13:24Speaker 5: the point of devastation. I mean some of these think
- 13:28Speaker 5: about this. Some of these women don't even want to date.
- 13:31Speaker 5: They gave up on dating. Here they are on this show,
- 13:36Speaker 5: and they are, you know, taking this guy for what
- 13:39Speaker 5: he says, even though in the back of them note
- 13:41Speaker 5: they're like, oh yeah, you know, maybe you know I'm
- 13:44Speaker 5: not the one. I know, there's other people there, there's
- 13:47Speaker 5: two others left or whatever. They are still taking it
- 13:51Speaker 5: very serious. You could see that last night.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Can you share what your relationship status is?
- 13:56Speaker 5: Well, now I'm married, but I was single for all
- 14:02Speaker 5: of my forties. I'm a mom. I have four kids
- 14:06Speaker 5: and I raised them while I was dating, and I was.
- 14:09Speaker 5: It was to the point where I was like a
- 14:12Speaker 5: serial dater. So I've gone through People used to joke,
- 14:17Speaker 5: oh my god, that's her. That's like her business. You know,
- 14:20Speaker 5: she works, but that's her business too, she dates. Like all,
- 14:25Speaker 5: I was like dating three people at the same time,
- 14:28Speaker 5: all through my voice. Well that's why I was work.
- 14:33Speaker 5: But it was fun. I enjoyed it. But I can
- 14:37Speaker 5: feel what these women are going through because of it,
- 14:40Speaker 5: and you can't. I just feel, you know, I know
- 14:43Speaker 5: Gary is new at this, but yeah, you can't say
- 14:48Speaker 5: that to a woman. That's it's really, you know, I
- 14:51Speaker 5: love you? Like those words are intense, and they just
- 14:56Speaker 5: from the reaction. I was watching last night when the
- 14:58Speaker 5: women tell all, did you see how I think it
- 15:02Speaker 5: was Ellen? No, No, it was Faith? Which one? Yeah,
- 15:07Speaker 5: Faith is the one he he let go? Oh my god.
- 15:11Speaker 5: She would not let him go. She was like, did
- 15:13Speaker 5: you see how she was crying? That's what my point is.
- 15:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I found it interesting because amongst our age group,
- 15:22Speaker 3: when they get dumped, they get a little bit more
- 15:24Speaker 3: like I don't even want to touch you, you know
- 15:26Speaker 3: what I mean?
- 15:27Speaker 2: And she still agree of touching him.
- 15:30Speaker 5: Oh yeah, And that's my point. It just that was
- 15:34Speaker 5: a bad part of the show, you know, and I
- 15:36Speaker 5: think he's learned from that. I'm hoping at this point
- 15:40Speaker 5: doesn't matter. But yeah, you're just not a good thing
- 15:46Speaker 5: to say that, and of course they set it back
- 15:48Speaker 5: because they really meant it.
- 15:51Speaker 4: So three things I want to touch on with you
- 15:53Speaker 4: and knows that you just mentioned three separate topics because
- 15:57Speaker 4: I think all of them are important. We didn't talk
- 15:59Speaker 4: about him really during our breakdown. The first one is
- 16:02Speaker 4: you started out saying, hey, these women are very supportive
- 16:05Speaker 4: of each other. It's refreshing. I enjoy it, that's your opinion.
- 16:10Speaker 4: Do you also feel like this is what the fan
- 16:13Speaker 4: base for The Bachelor has been craving, is to go
- 16:15Speaker 4: back away from drama and more into this just human
- 16:20Speaker 4: stories connecting with each other, trying to figure it out.
- 16:23Speaker 5: I don't you know. That's a really good question. I
- 16:27Speaker 5: think it is refreshing. Yeah, for a certain age group. Okay,
- 16:33Speaker 5: only for a certain age group, and that's obviously the
- 16:36Speaker 5: older age group. But I personally, and I'm in that
- 16:41Speaker 5: age group, and I have to tell you, I personally
- 16:44Speaker 5: enjoy watching The Bachelor when they're twenties, twenties and thirties.
- 16:49Speaker 4: For me, is it more comedic, like does it make
- 16:51Speaker 4: you laugh and kind of be like, oh, you'll learn
- 16:53Speaker 4: one day? Or is it Are you as gripped and
- 16:55Speaker 4: as emotional watching that as you are with the Golden Bachelor?
- 17:00Speaker 3: Oh?
- 17:00Speaker 5: I'm not as emotional. It depends on the person. Like
- 17:03Speaker 5: I was emotional for some of the girls when they
- 17:05Speaker 5: were in their twenties and stuff because I couldn't believe
- 17:08Speaker 5: they were doing what they were doing. And I'm like, no,
- 17:10Speaker 5: don't do this, you know, stuff like that. But yeah,
- 17:15Speaker 5: I mean, it's just more entertaining I for the older,
- 17:20Speaker 5: you know people, it's more it's more realistic in a way,
- 17:26Speaker 5: but it's more corny, I guess that's the best way
- 17:31Speaker 5: to put it. Sort of weird in corny, like almost
- 17:35Speaker 5: like I feel like I'm watching my parents make out
- 17:39Speaker 5: and I'm like, oh, no, you don't want to go there, no, no, no, no,
- 17:43Speaker 5: So it's more I'm like, yeah, it's just weird.
- 17:48Speaker 4: I got that during the bloopers. Especially the bloopers really
- 17:51Speaker 4: highlighted just how real and authentic and how kind of
- 17:56Speaker 4: untamed all of them are, Like they just don't care
- 17:59Speaker 4: as much. So yeah, they're like letting out gas on camera,
- 18:03Speaker 4: which is something that like you know, isn't probably very
- 18:06Speaker 4: familiar to those that are on The Bachelor and Bachelorette.
- 18:10Speaker 4: And then you know they're flashing each other and like
- 18:14Speaker 4: they know there's cameras all around, and you know, they
- 18:16Speaker 4: don't care as much like they do have that. Okay,
- 18:20Speaker 4: the second thing I want to talk to you about was
- 18:23Speaker 4: you mentioned the villains kind of how the supportive of
- 18:26Speaker 4: each other. You know, we don't really have a villain
- 18:28Speaker 4: from this season, and I think that was a unique
- 18:30Speaker 4: thing about the tell all is we saw how all
- 18:34Speaker 4: of them now are approaching each other after the show
- 18:38Speaker 4: and supporting each other and laughing at each other. And
- 18:41Speaker 4: so we don't have that villain coming off this season.
- 18:44Speaker 4: In fact, we have some characters that may be disrupted,
- 18:48Speaker 4: Kathy being one of those. However, there isn't a villain
- 18:52Speaker 4: that everybody's attacking. And I enjoyed that about to tell all,
- 18:55Speaker 4: I'm sick of Tellaw's that personally where it's just yelling
- 18:59Speaker 4: and screaming and fighting and nothing really gets accomplished. This
- 19:02Speaker 4: felt different.
- 19:04Speaker 5: Well, yeah, it's more warm and cozy, and like I
- 19:08Speaker 5: said before, they really are supportive of each other and
- 19:12Speaker 5: it's wonderful to see that. But it depends who you are.
- 19:17Speaker 5: I mean, sometimes you love that drama and you can't wait.
- 19:20Speaker 5: I mean, I think that's why ABC wants to have
- 19:24Speaker 5: someone that stirs the pot, because it makes it the
- 19:27Speaker 5: show more exciting.
- 19:29Speaker 4: Does it also makes me feel sick you're watching it though.
- 19:32Speaker 4: It makes me feel because we come on the show,
- 19:34Speaker 4: we come on the podcast Almost Famous podcast and we
- 19:37Speaker 4: have you know, we break down the episodes and it
- 19:40Speaker 4: feels weird to be so critical of somebody. It's not
- 19:43Speaker 4: something that you know, we enjoy doing It does at
- 19:46Speaker 4: times bring some excitement. Yes, it brings a topic that's
- 19:50Speaker 4: talk about. It brings confusion and like you know, keeps
- 19:53Speaker 4: it stays in your mind until the next week. But
- 19:57Speaker 4: it's not a part of humanity diet I enjoy. I
- 20:01Speaker 4: don't think I know Ashley does enjoy it, Like we
- 20:02Speaker 4: don't enjoy sitting here being like that person is psycho
- 20:05Speaker 4: like they are making the weirdest decisions.
- 20:08Speaker 5: Well, yeah, you don't want to be attacked. Nobody likes
- 20:11Speaker 5: to be attacked in front of all these people, of course,
- 20:15Speaker 5: but you know they're coming on the show. They know
- 20:18Speaker 5: that's what's going to happen is when they go to
- 20:21Speaker 5: a Tello.
- 20:22Speaker 3: Yeah, let's just talk about like the shocking moment at
- 20:26Speaker 3: the end of the episode find out that Faith has
- 20:28Speaker 3: gotten out. Bet and I have already given our initial dots,
- 20:31Speaker 3: but like, were you just like gasping because I I
- 20:36Speaker 3: was just kind of like this episode was just running
- 20:39Speaker 3: along and I'm like, h on my phone because you know,
- 20:42Speaker 3: it's a great it's a recab and I was like
- 20:45Speaker 3: this Rose ceremony, I know what's gonna happen.
- 20:48Speaker 2: Like this is the most obvious Rose ceremony of all time.
- 20:51Speaker 3: And then I'm just like and then he goes Teresa,
- 20:54Speaker 3: and I go, I was like, you mean Teresa, you're pulling?
- 20:58Speaker 2: Are you pulling Teresa to say goodbye to her privately?
- 21:02Speaker 5: What do you mean?
- 21:03Speaker 2: The roads is going to Teresa.
- 21:05Speaker 5: That's exactly That's exactly how I felt. What Wait a minute,
- 21:11Speaker 5: are you sure you said that? Are you sure you
- 21:14Speaker 5: said that name? Wait a minute, did you make a mistake?
- 21:17Speaker 5: Because that's I think it was a shock for everybody.
- 21:23Speaker 5: It was so weird. So now I'm thinking, I don't know.
- 21:27Speaker 5: I feel like I already know who's going to pick.
- 21:30Speaker 3: But then again, the spoilers or because he told us
- 21:34Speaker 3: by picking, Yeah.
- 21:36Speaker 5: My kids look at the spoilers. I never do because
- 21:38Speaker 5: I just want to know at the end.
- 21:41Speaker 3: But yeah, now it's really obvious who he's picking, Yes, Leslie.
- 21:48Speaker 3: Well yeah, but then again, I said with certainty last
- 21:52Speaker 3: week it was Faith, So who the hell knows?
- 21:55Speaker 5: No, I really that's what I think. I think it's
- 21:57Speaker 5: going to be Leslie.
- 21:58Speaker 4: For the Fantasy Suites really mixed things up, which obviously
- 22:01Speaker 4: are a big training point.
- 22:03Speaker 2: Ben, I can't believe, like I can't.
- 22:05Speaker 3: I feel like you looked at spoilers, thinking that Theresa
- 22:09Speaker 3: was going further than I never.
- 22:10Speaker 4: Look at spoilers, Ashley. I barely have enough time to
- 22:14Speaker 4: watch an episode. I do not dig deep into what's
- 22:17Speaker 4: happening in the forecast for the season.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Well, okay, I thought that, like maybe Garyett told you
- 22:23Speaker 2: or something.
- 22:24Speaker 4: No, I don't think they would allow that. But I
- 22:26Speaker 4: have felt like it's Teresa for a long time and
- 22:29Speaker 4: I've stuck to that, and Ashley knows that. And then
- 22:32Speaker 4: last week I started to question myself, and this week
- 22:35Speaker 4: I'm right back on the Teresa train. I'm like this kid.
- 22:37Speaker 3: He didn't say I love you back to Teresa, but
- 22:40Speaker 3: did say it to Faith, actually initiated it to Faith.
- 22:44Speaker 2: That was mind blowing.
- 22:47Speaker 4: Okay, so that brings me my third point that I
- 22:50Speaker 4: wanted to talk to you about.
- 22:51Speaker 5: But he also said it to Leslie.
- 22:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, but but like he didn't say to Teresa.
- 22:56Speaker 3: My thought is that perhaps we saw it in order. No, no, no, yeah,
- 23:02Speaker 3: So Teresa's hometown probably did really go first, and he
- 23:06Speaker 3: wasn't sure he was going to say I love you,
- 23:09Speaker 3: you know what I mean. And then once he was
- 23:11Speaker 3: with the other two ladies, who was like, ah, let's
- 23:13Speaker 3: say I love you.
- 23:15Speaker 5: Yeah, but I think he really meant you know, he's
- 23:18Speaker 5: not just saying it, and the way he actually really
- 23:21Speaker 5: means it.
- 23:21Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I know, I think that I meant like
- 23:23Speaker 3: verbalizing it. He's like, okay, like I'll vitilize it now.
- 23:28Speaker 4: Okay. So here's my third point that I wanted to
- 23:30Speaker 4: talk to about. And I think that's a great spot
- 23:32Speaker 4: for us to sit until we have to say goodbye
- 23:34Speaker 4: to you. Is the love use I love yous. That's
- 23:37Speaker 4: a big deal to you, obviously, and as like it's
- 23:40Speaker 4: a big deal to us, it's a big deal to Gary,
- 23:42Speaker 4: and it's a big deal to these women. And so
- 23:43Speaker 4: it's a very interesting thing to speak about now because
- 23:46Speaker 4: he did verbalize these I do think he meant that.
- 23:49Speaker 4: I do think he meant them when he said it.
- 23:53Speaker 4: Uh So we have a we have a weird situation
- 23:56Speaker 4: going on right. Gary hasn't dated in a long time,
- 23:59Speaker 4: his heart has not been opened up to anybody else
- 24:01Speaker 4: in a long time, and so now he's feeling these feels.
- 24:06Speaker 4: Maybe it's love, Maybe he's just very much liking somebody
- 24:10Speaker 4: more than he has in a while. But he says
- 24:15Speaker 4: it and you have already said you had a problem
- 24:19Speaker 4: with this, that you don't think it's fair that he's
- 24:21Speaker 4: saying it again, maybe to them, like reverbalizing this. I'm wondering,
- 24:27Speaker 4: because you know, I've been in a similar situation. If
- 24:30Speaker 4: we're giving Gary a little bit of the benefit of
- 24:32Speaker 4: the doubt here, I'm wondering if he's reinforcing this into
- 24:36Speaker 4: in faith, especially because he wants her to know that
- 24:40Speaker 4: she is lovable and that he did get there with her,
- 24:43Speaker 4: and that he still cares so much for her, and
- 24:44Speaker 4: he's so appreciative for her, and he personally in his
- 24:47Speaker 4: mind right now, is thinking the best way to do
- 24:50Speaker 4: this is to make sure she knows that I wasn't lying,
- 24:52Speaker 4: that I wasn't confused, that I was torn apart and
- 24:55Speaker 4: I had to send her home because I had two
- 24:57Speaker 4: other women there that I think I'm in love with more.
- 25:01Speaker 4: And he thought this was actually the kind way to
- 25:04Speaker 4: do it.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Wait, how is a kind.
- 25:08Speaker 4: Because he's he's giving he's giving her that boost of
- 25:12Speaker 4: confidence he thinks his mind closure to say, hey, this
- 25:17Speaker 4: wasn't fake, like this was not a waste of your time.
- 25:20Speaker 4: You are you are able to be loved. I loved you.
- 25:23Speaker 4: I still love you, I still care about you. You're
- 25:26Speaker 4: just not the person I'm going to be with in
- 25:28Speaker 4: the end, in any other life, any other situation. Faith,
- 25:31Speaker 4: maybe he's saying you and I we could have made
- 25:34Speaker 4: this thing work, but not here.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Well, what's really weird is that, like he didn't give.
- 25:39Speaker 3: Any closure to me as a viewer as to why
- 25:43Speaker 3: he dumped her when she sat next to him on
- 25:45Speaker 3: the tell All, we didn't get any reasoning. I was
- 25:48Speaker 3: getting so many dms saying that he that he must
- 25:53Speaker 3: have just kept thinking, like, she doesn't want to move
- 25:55Speaker 3: to Indiana, she doesn't want to live with that like house.
- 25:58Speaker 3: She wants to be with her family, and maybe that
- 26:00Speaker 3: was the number one reason. But at least can I
- 26:02Speaker 3: hear that?
- 26:02Speaker 2: Can she hear that?
- 26:04Speaker 5: Well? Who knows how she's feeling after this. I mean,
- 26:07Speaker 5: at least he was there and reiterated, you know, just
- 26:13Speaker 5: like what you said before, it's not your we're just
- 26:16Speaker 5: not the right fit. But I do love you as
- 26:18Speaker 5: a person. Sure, so I don't know. Hopefully, you know,
- 26:23Speaker 5: obviously she has to go on. She's she's going to
- 26:26Speaker 5: go on, and she knows that there's always going to
- 26:29Speaker 5: be this love between them like a you know, good friend.
- 26:32Speaker 4: I mean, he definitely, and I think it's a part
- 26:35Speaker 4: of the Golden Bachelor. It's going to be very interesting
- 26:37Speaker 4: if they do another season, which I sure hope they do.
- 26:40Speaker 4: You know, even with Don, Like we see Don sitting there,
- 26:42Speaker 4: and I feel like Don's feelings were very similar to face, like, hey,
- 26:46Speaker 4: I left you, and I'm really sad, and I think
- 26:48Speaker 4: this could have been something special. Now right, let me
- 26:51Speaker 4: play out a scenario here, And I have no clue
- 26:53Speaker 4: if it's true. I have no clue if this is
- 26:55Speaker 4: a part of it. But what if what if Gary
- 26:58Speaker 4: can't give faith the closure because he's physically more attracted
- 27:01Speaker 4: to or the physical chemistry is better with Leslie and
- 27:06Speaker 4: Teresa and saying that on stage and saying that to
- 27:09Speaker 4: her is very harmful and very hurtful and not something
- 27:13Speaker 4: you want to say, even though he thinks she's beautiful,
- 27:15Speaker 4: even though he's like, you are gorgeous. Again, in any
- 27:17Speaker 4: other life, we could have made sense. But I have
- 27:21Speaker 4: two women here that my physical chemistry is better with,
- 27:25Speaker 4: and I also care about them a lot, and so
- 27:29Speaker 4: I had to come down to that, Like that was
- 27:30Speaker 4: my final decision maker. Like he can't say that.
- 27:33Speaker 5: All right, you're not gonna of course not so you're right,
- 27:36Speaker 5: that could be the reason, but we don't know. But yeah,
- 27:40Speaker 5: that might be the reason. I make that is a
- 27:43Speaker 5: very good point. You're not gonna, you know, hurt somebody
- 27:46Speaker 5: by saying that, But yeah, that's a good point. I
- 27:52Speaker 5: like that.
- 27:54Speaker 4: Would that have helped Ashley? Like, you're you're quiet here,
- 27:57Speaker 4: and I'm assuming you're still upset that you don't know
- 28:00Speaker 4: why Faith went home.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know.
- 28:04Speaker 3: I don't I don't I don't believe that to be
- 28:07Speaker 3: the truth either, because I just think that he was
- 28:09Speaker 3: very attracted to her. Sure, I honestly, if I had
- 28:14Speaker 3: heard like it was where I lived, I'd be like,
- 28:17Speaker 3: I can live with that.
- 28:19Speaker 4: Yeah, but what if that's not true. What I'm saying
- 28:21Speaker 4: is she could have said, Gary, we never really discussed it,
- 28:23Speaker 4: and I would have been willing to give up everything
- 28:25Speaker 4: for you, like she could have responded like down the couch,
- 28:27Speaker 4: and then he sitting here going, uh, yeah, you're right,
- 28:30Speaker 4: I don't really have I don't know, I know, I
- 28:32Speaker 4: don't know.
- 28:33Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 28:33Speaker 3: I feel like you can always say the truth, but
- 28:35Speaker 3: in a kind way, well, yeah.
- 28:37Speaker 5: No, you can't say it's a physical thing. You cannot.
- 28:40Speaker 3: I don't think that's what it is, though I'm so
- 28:43Speaker 3: convinced that that's what it is.
- 28:44Speaker 4: Only thing I can think of it is, it's the
- 28:46Speaker 4: only thing I can think of.
- 28:47Speaker 3: But like, I'm sorry because like, as like I know
- 28:50Speaker 3: that I'm not Gary, but like I found her to
- 28:52Speaker 3: be the most attractive of all three left, so I
- 28:54Speaker 3: can't imagine thought otherwise.
- 28:57Speaker 5: My beauty isn't the eye of the older I know.
- 29:00Speaker 5: I mean, you're not the guy and a guy A
- 29:02Speaker 5: lot of them, honestly, and that a lot of guys
- 29:06Speaker 5: will never tell you that that was the reason we
- 29:09Speaker 5: just didn't have a good physical connection. But really that
- 29:13Speaker 5: is the reason they're never gonna you'll never know.
- 29:16Speaker 4: I mean, he's had she got the first impression Rose.
- 29:19Speaker 2: He was obviously very attracted to her.
- 29:21Speaker 4: Sure, but he's had more intimate moments with the other two.
- 29:24Speaker 4: I mean, we've seen kind of the making out, as
- 29:26Speaker 4: we've said, and we've seen that. Like, but you know,
- 29:29Speaker 4: I'm with you. You can make the argument backwards where
- 29:31Speaker 4: you're like, hey, yeah, but when he kissed her in
- 29:34Speaker 4: front of the whole family, which is a which was
- 29:36Speaker 4: probably what I would say would be Gary's biggest mistake
- 29:39Speaker 4: of the season, Like that is something that even me,
- 29:42Speaker 4: in all of my complexities and issues, would have never done.
- 29:47Speaker 4: Like that was a big deal.
- 29:50Speaker 5: Well, he apologized, He apologized.
- 29:52Speaker 2: For that, Yeah he did. He said that's what he
- 29:55Speaker 2: felt most guilty about.
- 29:56Speaker 4: Yeah he should, because I think that's a big deal
- 29:58Speaker 4: and it gave a lot of hope in to the family,
- 30:00Speaker 4: and the family thought they were witnessing a moment very
- 30:02Speaker 4: special and intimate and one that they're gonna be able
- 30:05Speaker 4: to celebrate. I do think that was That was the
- 30:09Speaker 4: moment where I turned away from Teresa and said, no,
- 30:11Speaker 4: faith is like faith is here, Leslie's already gone the rose.
- 30:14Speaker 4: I'm over it all right. As we close up here
- 30:27Speaker 4: and as thoughts on the rest of the season, obviously
- 30:30Speaker 4: you still think Leslie is going to be picked? Yeah
- 30:33Speaker 4: do you? I guess kind of? You know you're married,
- 30:38Speaker 4: but you have dated in the past. With with this
- 30:41Speaker 4: intimacy coming up and the fantasy suites, is that going
- 30:45Speaker 4: to be a kind of an awkward time for them?
- 30:48Speaker 3: You know?
- 30:48Speaker 4: Again, I think we just need to say it, because
- 30:50Speaker 4: it's true. Gary hasn't dated in a long time, right,
- 30:54Speaker 4: A lot of these women haven't dated in a long time.
- 30:57Speaker 4: Being alone with somebody in a room with the connotation
- 31:00Speaker 4: that you're going to get physically intimate. Whatever that means
- 31:03Speaker 4: to you and whatever boundaries you set for that is
- 31:05Speaker 4: going to be something unique and different to each person.
- 31:07Speaker 4: Now from your perspective, with your friendships and your personal life,
- 31:12Speaker 4: how do you think that will play out? You know,
- 31:14Speaker 4: behind closed doors.
- 31:16Speaker 5: I think they're just gonna it all depends on the
- 31:18Speaker 5: again what you said before, the chemistry. I mean, if
- 31:22Speaker 5: he has a lot of chemistry with Leslie, which I
- 31:26Speaker 5: think he does, I mean, who knows, it could get
- 31:31Speaker 5: very intimate or it depends on both of them what
- 31:37Speaker 5: they want. I mean a lot of people think about, well,
- 31:40Speaker 5: you know, I don't know, there's still another woman left.
- 31:44Speaker 5: I'm not going to go there. Let's just have you know,
- 31:47Speaker 5: cuddle or whatever and we'll have great discussions all night
- 31:52Speaker 5: or whatever they want to do. But they're just not
- 31:55Speaker 5: going to go there to that place of being totally
- 31:59Speaker 5: you know, intimate. But it depends on both of them
- 32:04Speaker 5: and what there is.
- 32:06Speaker 6: I'm going to come out and say it, okay, he well,
- 32:10Speaker 6: Leslie asked when the last time he had sexes, So like,
- 32:14Speaker 6: maybe he'll be honest, maybe he'll say it, Maybe.
- 32:16Speaker 3: He'll say, like we could talk about that behind closed
- 32:18Speaker 3: doors whatever. But let's just pretend it's his wife and.
- 32:23Speaker 2: That means that he's Well, they met in high school too.
- 32:26Speaker 3: What if it was like the only woman he's ever
- 32:28Speaker 3: slept with, And it's like, could you imagine going in
- 32:33Speaker 3: and doing that with somebody else at that age?
- 32:35Speaker 2: I don't know. I can't.
- 32:36Speaker 3: I can't imagine, Like I don't, I don't like I
- 32:39Speaker 3: this would be a big roadblock for me, to be honest.
- 32:42Speaker 5: First of all, I think Leslie is the one that
- 32:45Speaker 5: would initiate it all. Oh, he's totally physical and yeah.
- 32:51Speaker 2: She's got a lot of sexuality.
- 32:52Speaker 5: Yeah, and not only that, that's what she does for
- 32:55Speaker 5: a living. Isn't she a exercise.
- 32:57Speaker 3: She's a yoga and short. Yeah, so she's like her
- 32:59Speaker 3: whole it's her body. She's very in tune with her body.
- 33:02Speaker 5: So she's the one. I don't think that would be
- 33:05Speaker 5: an issue for her because of.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Not her, I'm talking about Gary.
- 33:09Speaker 5: I'm saying if the woman is, it's not an issue
- 33:13Speaker 5: for the woman. She would like coach him along. I'm
- 33:16Speaker 5: not kidding, she would be.
- 33:17Speaker 2: The I mean emotional, I mean emotional and physically.
- 33:21Speaker 4: I mean, here's the thing. We're talking about people who
- 33:24Speaker 4: have been in relationship and they know. Now you know,
- 33:27Speaker 4: it's different actually than sex on The Bachelor and Bachelorette
- 33:31Speaker 4: because sometimes there you're so horned up over after three months.
- 33:35Speaker 4: You guys are just wanting to get released and like
- 33:37Speaker 4: it's a it's like a it's like a college hookup.
- 33:40Speaker 4: It's like a, Hey, let's just you know, you're beautiful,
- 33:44Speaker 4: I'm you know, ready, let's just go after it. But here,
- 33:48Speaker 4: I do think it will be different because once you
- 33:51Speaker 4: experience sex within a relationship, there is that intimacy, There
- 33:55Speaker 4: is the ability to coach, to verbalize, to talk about, Hey,
- 34:00Speaker 4: this is what I like, this is what I want,
- 34:01Speaker 4: this is what I need. And yes, it's gonna get
- 34:03Speaker 4: awkward at times because you guys are trying new things,
- 34:07Speaker 4: You're experiencing new you know, new environments with new people.
- 34:11Speaker 4: I think on this show, out of any show we've
- 34:14Speaker 4: seen up to this point in the twenty plus seasons,
- 34:17Speaker 4: there is a level of intimacy and vulnerability and connection
- 34:21Speaker 4: that will exist within these relationships. That we've never seen
- 34:24Speaker 4: before because it's not new to them. Like sex no
- 34:27Speaker 4: longer means a hookup and a release necessarily. Maybe it
- 34:30Speaker 4: does at times, you know, marriage still has that. But
- 34:33Speaker 4: also they're like, I know what it feels like to
- 34:36Speaker 4: be in a loving, committed sexual relationship, and I think
- 34:40Speaker 4: that's what they're bringing to the table. So I don't
- 34:42Speaker 4: know if they're gonna do it or not, but I
- 34:43Speaker 4: do believe Gary and these women are prepared to say, yeah,
- 34:47Speaker 4: I'm not comfortable doing that in the fantasy suites, or
- 34:49Speaker 4: I am comfortable doing that, and then once they are,
- 34:51Speaker 4: they can say, and this is what it's you know,
- 34:54Speaker 4: what can it look like with you?
- 34:56Speaker 5: Okay?
- 34:56Speaker 3: I mean that like I would feel like a traitor
- 34:59Speaker 3: to my late's wife.
- 35:03Speaker 4: Definitely.
- 35:04Speaker 3: This would be the moment where I'd be like, I'm
- 35:07Speaker 3: moving on officially.
- 35:09Speaker 2: That is that weird that that.
- 35:11Speaker 4: Would might not be the right word I would use,
- 35:13Speaker 4: because I think I get what you're saying. There's a
- 35:15Speaker 4: there's like a guilt, maybe the guilt thank you.
- 35:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I was gonna say guilt. I wasn't sure what
- 35:20Speaker 3: the right word was, but I would feel guilty in the.
- 35:22Speaker 4: Moment, sure, But you got to get over it, Like, yeah, okay,
- 35:26Speaker 4: what do you think.
- 35:27Speaker 5: I mean now at this point, I think the guilt
- 35:29Speaker 5: would be gone. I mean, look, he's gone through all
- 35:33Speaker 5: of this dating process already. They've been you know, she
- 35:36Speaker 5: has passed away for so many years already, and he's yeah,
- 35:42Speaker 5: I maybe a tiny bit he might be thinking about it,
- 35:46Speaker 5: but no, when you have who's so into you, like
- 35:49Speaker 5: Leslie is so into him, I think the rest would
- 35:54Speaker 5: be very comfortable for him. They decided to do.
- 35:57Speaker 2: That, okay.
- 35:59Speaker 4: And the point that we talked about two weeks ago,
- 36:02Speaker 4: Ashley and I think we saw it and it might
- 36:04Speaker 4: be an underspoken point that the show I believe maybe
- 36:08Speaker 4: missed communicating because they tried to bring out emotion at
- 36:13Speaker 4: times some comedy at times also communicate the relationships. Gary's
- 36:17Speaker 4: journey through this has been really spectacular because week one
- 36:21Speaker 4: through two he couldn't bring up his late wife without crying,
- 36:24Speaker 4: He could not emotionally speak about her without getting teary
- 36:28Speaker 4: eyed and without like breaking down. Now, after a few
- 36:33Speaker 4: weeks and after kind of getting his foot back in
- 36:35Speaker 4: the water and saying, hey, I'm gonna start dating again,
- 36:38Speaker 4: I'm gonna start exploring this he is a lot more
- 36:40Speaker 4: confident speaking about his late wife. He speaks about her
- 36:42Speaker 4: with love and admiration, but isn't as emotional because I
- 36:46Speaker 4: think in Gary's journey, he at some point during this season,
- 36:51Speaker 4: and I bet if you asked him personally, there was
- 36:54Speaker 4: a point where he said, wait, I've moved on, Like
- 36:57Speaker 4: I'm I still care and I still love and I
- 36:59Speaker 4: still remember, but my heart is ready for something new.
- 37:04Speaker 4: So I don't know if, like Gary, if that's really
- 37:07Speaker 4: even on his mind at this point. I think he's
- 37:10Speaker 4: so focused on maybe I don't. I don't know.
- 37:14Speaker 5: Yeah, I remember him saying something like that, Oh well
- 37:17Speaker 5: he did.
- 37:18Speaker 2: He does. He's pretty honest about.
- 37:20Speaker 5: Being his feelings. He's down.
- 37:24Speaker 3: Oh I was gonna say, like he almost seems like
- 37:26Speaker 3: he's ready to get sexy.
- 37:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 37:30Speaker 3: I think he said something along those lines where he
- 37:33Speaker 3: was like, it's gonna get it might get hot, and
- 37:35Speaker 3: like right, yeah.
- 37:37Speaker 4: I mean, I don't know if I want to think
- 37:38Speaker 4: about that, but I'm not ready. I'm not ready for
- 37:43Speaker 4: like the intimacy details here, Like I've had a hard
- 37:46Speaker 4: enough time watching him make out. I'm not ready for
- 37:49Speaker 4: I'm not ready for the hot and steamy.
- 37:51Speaker 3: I think both, but like to put it out there,
- 37:53Speaker 3: I do think both ladies are going to be into
- 37:56Speaker 3: using the fantasy suite in the way that the Fantasy
- 37:59Speaker 3: Suite is just.
- 38:01Speaker 4: Sure, sure well, and as it sure has been awesome
- 38:04Speaker 4: having you. You've been absolutely incredible to have here. I
- 38:07Speaker 4: really appreciate you coming on and just talking through this
- 38:11Speaker 4: with us. Obviously, we were excited, as you know co hosts,
- 38:16Speaker 4: to get to this point in the season because we
- 38:19Speaker 4: knew it would get there the conversations would get more serious,
- 38:23Speaker 4: like we would go away from like who's he gonna
- 38:24Speaker 4: pick and who's he dating? And what do you think
- 38:26Speaker 4: to hey, how does this play out in a fantasy suite?
- 38:29Speaker 4: How does this play out emotional? Emotionally? As Faith now
- 38:32Speaker 4: tries to move on from this incredible love and incredible
- 38:36Speaker 4: person that she had in her life, and it is
- 38:39Speaker 4: it does make our conversations more interesting. And you stepped
- 38:42Speaker 4: up today and walk through it with us, so so
- 38:44Speaker 4: thank you so much.
- 38:45Speaker 5: I have a question, though, do you think they are
- 38:48Speaker 5: gonna pick bachelorette?
- 38:49Speaker 6: Now?
- 38:49Speaker 5: Aren't they the Golden Bachelorette?
- 38:51Speaker 4: I have a feeling they're not.
- 38:53Speaker 3: Wait, okay, you would think so, but they will not
- 38:55Speaker 3: be announcing it. No way, there's no way that nothing's
- 38:57Speaker 3: been green Land or anything like that. But they certainly
- 38:59Speaker 3: get gave faith the Bachelorette.
- 39:02Speaker 4: Edit. For me, I think everybody got the Bachelorette it.
- 39:05Speaker 4: I could see every single woman that came into this
- 39:07Speaker 4: house being the next Bachelorette on this show and it
- 39:10Speaker 4: being great. Here's my concern. I have this theory. I've
- 39:14Speaker 4: never said it publicly, but I have a theory that
- 39:16Speaker 4: there will never be another Golden Show.
- 39:19Speaker 2: He sort of, he was. He told us about this
- 39:22Speaker 2: a little bit last week.
- 39:23Speaker 3: He said that they haven't they've decided, they still haven't
- 39:25Speaker 3: made a decision about it. And Ben now is elaborating
- 39:29Speaker 3: on that theory and saying that there's not ever going
- 39:32Speaker 3: to be one.
- 39:34Speaker 4: And why is that?
- 39:35Speaker 5: Ben?
- 39:36Speaker 4: I believe, in my heart of hearts that there's not
- 39:41Speaker 4: going to be another Golden Show for a long time.
- 39:44Speaker 4: And here's why I think it's going to play out.
- 39:45Speaker 4: This show is way too big of a success and
- 39:48Speaker 4: it will it is eating It's going to eat up
- 39:50Speaker 4: the Bachelor and Bachelorette, just like it's kind of eating
- 39:52Speaker 4: up Paradise. Now, let me finish let me let me finish.
- 39:57Speaker 4: It's eating up Paradise. The ratings are down for Paradise.
- 40:00Speaker 4: I believe The Bachelor is going to have a hard
- 40:02Speaker 4: time living up to what the Golden Bachelor was and
- 40:05Speaker 4: people are going to get sick of that and want
- 40:07Speaker 4: the Golden Bachelor again. And the show isn't ready to
- 40:11Speaker 4: put all their eggs in the Golden basket yet because
- 40:13Speaker 4: it's not what their franchise is built on. And so
- 40:16Speaker 4: what I think is going to happen is they're going
- 40:19Speaker 4: to pause the Golden Show now, let the Bachelorette and
- 40:22Speaker 4: Bachelor play out like it is for the next few years,
- 40:25Speaker 4: in a sense, die off, and then they'll bring back
- 40:28Speaker 4: the Golden to try to get another five to seven
- 40:31Speaker 4: year stint out of it, and then that makes the
- 40:33Speaker 4: show a thirty year show instead of you know, all
- 40:36Speaker 4: of this trying to be done at once. That's my theory.
- 40:39Speaker 5: Interesting.
- 40:40Speaker 4: I mean, how how here's my question to lead the
- 40:42Speaker 4: audience with, and you I nez with, how in the
- 40:46Speaker 4: world does Joey's I mean, Joey's probably going to be great.
- 40:49Speaker 4: How in the world does he follow up Gary? He
- 40:51Speaker 4: can't like he just it is an impossible situation for me.
- 40:54Speaker 5: Well, no, but it's such a different demographic. It's such
- 40:57Speaker 5: a different scene. It's so different. You're talking about twenty
- 41:02Speaker 5: year old thirty year olds versus you know, sixty and
- 41:05Speaker 5: seventy year old, So there's such a different audience.
- 41:08Speaker 4: I think it's the same viewing audience.
- 41:10Speaker 3: It is the same. I think it's the same viewing
- 41:12Speaker 3: audience too. I bet you they got up. They got
- 41:14Speaker 3: some more older viewers, But for the most part, I
- 41:18Speaker 3: do think that the age range is the same. I
- 41:21Speaker 3: see what Ben is talking about. Yeah, it's not like
- 41:25Speaker 3: the Golden Bachelor has abandoned its young audience, do you
- 41:27Speaker 3: know what I mean?
- 41:28Speaker 2: Like they like, any twenty.
- 41:31Speaker 3: Five to forty five year old who watches The Bachelor
- 41:34Speaker 3: is also watching the Golden Bachelor, So not they're keeping
- 41:37Speaker 3: their core audience and maybe gaining some older But in
- 41:41Speaker 3: the numbers numbers game, you want to be able to
- 41:44Speaker 3: you want to have that like twenty five to fifty
- 41:47Speaker 3: ish range because that's like where the money grab is.
- 41:51Speaker 5: Right.
- 41:51Speaker 4: I would say this though, and I mean, I think
- 41:54Speaker 4: here's the business model for this, right. If Paradise's ratings
- 41:58Speaker 4: were showing to be very good, and high. I think
- 42:01Speaker 4: then all of this plays together well and they say, Okay,
- 42:04Speaker 4: the Golden Bachelor can lead in the Paradise, can lead
- 42:06Speaker 4: into the Bachelor, can lead in the Bachelor app and
- 42:09Speaker 4: this all works. I think the Bachelor ratings this year,
- 42:13Speaker 4: and I know we talk about ratings and people hate
- 42:15Speaker 4: it at times, but I do believe the Bachelor ratings
- 42:17Speaker 4: this year are going to play a big role. And
- 42:19Speaker 4: if they do the Golden Show or not, if the
- 42:21Speaker 4: Bachelor ratings are down at all, they say, no, we can't,
- 42:24Speaker 4: it's going to eat it up. If it's up, they're saying, yes,
- 42:28Speaker 4: this is great.
- 42:30Speaker 2: I know what you're talking about.
- 42:31Speaker 3: And I think it's because we know, after like almost
- 42:34Speaker 3: a decade and all this, like we get them, we
- 42:37Speaker 3: get the creators of the show. But what doesn't make
- 42:40Speaker 3: sense is that there's so many other dating shows these days,
- 42:43Speaker 3: way more and on a whole bunch of different platforms
- 42:47Speaker 3: than at the beginning of all this, when Bachelor ruled.
- 42:50Speaker 3: And now Bachelor doesn't like necessarily rule because there's Love
- 42:53Speaker 3: is Blind and there's Love Island and stuff, but they
- 42:56Speaker 3: and they just tapped into a whole new breed of show.
- 43:01Speaker 2: So shouldn't they just run with that.
- 43:04Speaker 3: Now they're going to risk other people getting that idea
- 43:06Speaker 3: and not being one of the originals and having somebody
- 43:09Speaker 3: else steal the idea.
- 43:11Speaker 2: And it's just like, well, you know, sometimes things.
- 43:14Speaker 3: Need to evolve, and I don't want to see the
- 43:17Speaker 3: Bachelor Bachelor and Paradise go anywhere.
- 43:19Speaker 2: You know, That's what a heart and sole thing for me.
- 43:23Speaker 3: But like, if we have to evolve, then like as
- 43:26Speaker 3: mine as we'll be the leaders in it.
- 43:28Speaker 4: I would agree with you. I don't know if that's
- 43:31Speaker 4: the way ABC necessarily or Warner thinks about this. I
- 43:35Speaker 4: could be completely wrong. I could be I'm not saying
- 43:38Speaker 4: this is my theory and it's my concern because I've
- 43:41Speaker 4: loved watching The Golden Show. It's brought me back to
- 43:43Speaker 4: having a lot of fun watching the show and learning
- 43:46Speaker 4: from these contestants and following their stories and wanting to
- 43:49Speaker 4: be involved in their love stories and see them find success.
- 43:52Speaker 4: It's done everything for me that the show did for me,
- 43:55Speaker 4: you know, ten years ago. But this is my theory.
- 43:59Speaker 4: I could be so wrong on it.
- 44:01Speaker 5: I just think that actually what you're saying thought about,
- 44:05Speaker 5: but it sort of makes sense.
- 44:07Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean how does joe I mean, I think
- 44:09Speaker 4: the big question comes down to how in the world
- 44:11Speaker 4: does Joey live up to being Gary? And because it is,
- 44:15Speaker 4: you can't but it happens every season. We've seen it, right,
- 44:19Speaker 4: How does how does Colton live up to Nick File?
- 44:22Speaker 4: How does Matt James live up to you know, Colton
- 44:25Speaker 4: or whoever was before him? You know, how do I
- 44:27Speaker 4: live up to Chris? Souls like it is a comparison
- 44:30Speaker 4: where they always are comparing you, like, oh I missed
- 44:32Speaker 4: last season. You know, the fans say that, and oh
- 44:35Speaker 4: I'm tuning out because this person isn't as interesting. It
- 44:37Speaker 4: happens every year. So all right, well we got to
- 44:41Speaker 4: let you go, and as thanks for coming on again.
- 44:42Speaker 4: We really appreciate you. And well, hey, let's see if
- 44:47Speaker 4: it's Leslie or Trees' towards the end.
- 44:50Speaker 5: Thank you, bye, thank you bye.
- 44:53Speaker 4: This has been another almost famous podcast. Again. We're gonna
- 44:56Speaker 4: ben back next week breaking down more episodes because we
- 45:00Speaker 4: have a couple of weeks left. We have three weeks
- 45:01Speaker 4: left to the Golden Bachelor, we have some Paradise left,
- 45:04Speaker 4: we have some interviews on Slate. The headlines will never stop.
- 45:07Speaker 4: We are just keeping going, and we're keeping going because
- 45:10Speaker 4: it's an exciting time in Bachelor Nation and we should
- 45:12Speaker 4: all be excited about it. But until next week, I've
- 45:15Speaker 4: been Been, I've been Ashley.
