- 1:13Speaker 2: had sixteen, Ruben Domingus fifteen Rashawn ag eleven and nine.
- 1:19Speaker 2: The Aggies led for a lot of that game, but
- 1:23Speaker 2: looked like they ran out of steam a little bit
- 1:26Speaker 2: down the stretch against a Tennessee team that is has
- 1:34Speaker 2: some talent and a lot of size, but has been
- 1:38Speaker 2: struggling most of the year, and frankly struggled most of
- 1:41Speaker 2: the game. Neither team shot the ball. Well, there were
- 1:46Speaker 2: seventy four free throws in the game. I said, no,
- 1:52Speaker 2: that's not Yes, that is right. There were seventy four
- 1:56Speaker 2: free throws in the game. Twenty two miss free throws
- 2:01Speaker 2: in the game eleven by Texas, A and M and
- 2:07Speaker 2: I again, in my opinion, fatigue played a part down
- 2:11Speaker 2: the stretch because they couldn't put the ball in the
- 2:14Speaker 2: basket in the last two overtimes. Either Let's see, we
- 2:18Speaker 2: got tonight, Ole Miss and Georgia playing. We got Vanderbilt
- 2:23Speaker 2: still unbeaten at Texas playing. South Carolina and Arkansas are playing.
- 2:31Speaker 2: And I think there's a Kentucky team that's playing. They
- 2:35Speaker 2: are at LSU. I would Purdue Texas Tech is hosting Utah.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Some of the college hoops games on tap for you.
- 2:52Speaker 2: The Aggies go to Austin Saturday, afternoon to take on Texas.
- 2:57Speaker 2: The twenty twenty six College Football Hall of Fame class

- 4:04Speaker 2: announcing he's going to pass up the draft, where he
- 4:07Speaker 2: was one of the top two or three projected picks
- 4:11Speaker 2: and run it back with the Ducks and Dan Lanning.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Moore projected, as I mentioned, along with Fernando Mendoza, as
- 4:22Speaker 2: one of the top quarterbacks. He wasn't very good in
- 4:26Speaker 2: the semi final game against Indiana Alex Bregman. You know
- 4:33Speaker 2: shunned Boston went to Chicago. Well, today the Red Sox
- 4:38Speaker 2: signed free agent starting pitcher Rangers Suarez. John Hayman of
- 4:44Speaker 2: the New York Post sag Suarez is deal worth one
- 4:48Speaker 2: hundred and thirty million dollars. He was the sixth remaining
- 4:54Speaker 2: free agent. Spent the first eight years in Philly. Originally
- 4:59Speaker 2: relief pick moved to the starting rotation, helped the Phillies
- 5:04Speaker 2: reach the World Series in twenty twenty two, ranks among
- 5:08Speaker 2: the top fifty starters in er innings pitched and ground
- 5:13Speaker 2: ball rate, and liv Golf has signed two time Major
- 5:18Speaker 2: champ Dustin Johnson to a multi year extension. This comes
- 5:24Speaker 2: a day after it was announced that brooks Kopka is

- 9:52Speaker 2: Thanks for joining us here on all Willie Wednesday Friday,
- 9:57Speaker 2: I'll visit with Kirk Balls riding Star Wars. I'll be
- 10:00Speaker 2: sitting here on Friday afternoon. I was just regoing over
- 10:06Speaker 2: some of the stats from last night's game. You don't
- 10:09Speaker 2: see many three hour college basketball games. When you do,
- 10:14Speaker 2: a lot of times the officials are to blame. There
- 10:18Speaker 2: were fifty three fouls called last night in the game
- 10:22Speaker 2: and seventy four free throw shot. That's not basketball, I
- 10:27Speaker 2: will say this, and I was thinking about it because
- 10:29Speaker 2: the whistle was blowing every time down the court.
- 10:32Speaker 1: That was not.
- 10:35Speaker 2: An easy game to officiate. The style of both teams
- 10:42Speaker 2: hand to hand combat. Rick Barnes has done that his
- 10:46Speaker 2: entire career. He wants to beat down the other team physically.
- 10:52Speaker 2: I think last night it might have worked frankly down
- 10:55Speaker 2: the stretch. But you can't have a basketball game with
- 11:02Speaker 2: seventy four free throws. You can't have any kind of
- 11:07Speaker 2: entertaining basketball game with fifty three fouls in fifty minutes
- 11:13Speaker 2: of basketball.
- 11:15Speaker 1: My richardson the.
- 11:16Speaker 2: High math tells me that is more than one foul
- 11:19Speaker 2: a minute they're blowing their whistle. You can't get any
- 11:22Speaker 2: flow in a game like that. Very difficult. And by
- 11:28Speaker 2: the way, not blaming the officials whatsoever for the loss
- 11:35Speaker 2: at all. They were equally bad. And it missed eleven
- 11:39Speaker 2: free throws. I don't know how many of those were
- 11:41Speaker 2: friend ends of one and one. I just remember three
- 11:45Speaker 2: or four just off hand. You can't shoot sixty five
- 11:50Speaker 2: percent from the free throw line on the road in
- 11:54Speaker 2: league play.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Can't do it.
- 11:57Speaker 2: They for the most part, been a really good free
- 12:00Speaker 2: throw shooting team. A Tennessee shot almost seventy four percent.
- 12:07Speaker 2: They hit ten more free throws, so they outscored them
- 12:10Speaker 2: by ten at the free throw line. A and M
- 12:13Speaker 2: outscored Tennessee by twenty one at the three point line.
- 12:18Speaker 2: The Aggie's attempted forty three three point shots last night.
- 12:22Speaker 2: That is a lot of threes. Tennessee attempted twenty four
- 12:27Speaker 2: to three point shots last night. I don't think Rick
- 12:30Speaker 2: Barnes wants his team attempting twenty four threes. And in
- 12:34Speaker 2: the first half it was mind boggling to me. In
- 12:39Speaker 2: the first half, Tennessee attempted fourteen three point shots and
- 12:45Speaker 2: hit three. Now, when they have guys that are six
- 12:50Speaker 2: eleven and other guys at weigh three hundred pounds in
- 12:53Speaker 2: the paint and they are so much bigger than Texas,
- 12:57Speaker 2: A and m couldn't figure it out. We're gonna hear
- 13:02Speaker 2: from Mick Barnes here in a minute. Let's hear from
- 13:05Speaker 2: Bucky post game last night.
- 13:09Speaker 10: Good game, two good teams. Didn't come out on the
- 13:12Speaker 10: right side. Could have gone either way, obviously, the questions.
- 13:26Speaker 11: Listen did a better job handling the press lead? Or
- 13:28Speaker 11: was that just fatigue from from you? All those guys.
- 13:32Speaker 10: Were they put us in? We were in the double bonus,
- 13:34Speaker 10: so we couldn't We had for got two guys four fouls.
- 13:37Speaker 10: You know, That's what I hate about college basketball and
- 13:40Speaker 10: the reset in overtime, you feel like that your reset,
- 13:42Speaker 10: you know what I mean, because it's a new game,
- 13:43Speaker 10: but you're sitting there with the double bonus, so you
- 13:46Speaker 10: know they like, you know, chance to them calling fouls
- 13:49Speaker 10: to put them on the line if it hurt us,
- 13:51Speaker 10: so we couldn't pressure as hard. But either way, they
- 13:54Speaker 10: didn't turn the ball over as much.
- 13:58Speaker 12: Okay, I guess to the extent you could tell us,
- 14:00Speaker 12: what was your message to your guys after that game
- 14:02Speaker 12: that it's not a lot of people come here and win,
- 14:05Speaker 12: and you know your guys were right there all night.
- 14:08Speaker 10: You know, it's just kind of basketball. So funny is
- 14:10Speaker 10: if you know, maybe we're making another free throw or
- 14:13Speaker 10: we'ven make set three, you know, were walking out of
- 14:15Speaker 10: here feeling different, but it's right there is the same
- 14:18Speaker 10: kind of thing, right, and so you just can't get
- 14:20Speaker 10: so results over in and we're heading in the right direction,
- 14:23Speaker 10: like that's that's the biggest thing. We're heading in the
- 14:25Speaker 10: right direction and just got to keep trucking along right
- 14:30Speaker 10: Like I mean, it's a it's a game where a
- 14:35Speaker 10: play here, a free throw there, shot here, shot there
- 14:37Speaker 10: could have could left us with a greater feeling getting
- 14:40Speaker 10: on that plane, right, But you know when we're down
- 14:42Speaker 10: there at Auburn, if they made the last three, we'd
- 14:45Speaker 10: be feeling different about that one too, Right. So the
- 14:48Speaker 10: only thing you can focus on is man, keep battle
- 14:50Speaker 10: and keep getting better every day. And we've certainly lived
- 14:52Speaker 10: done that.
- 14:55Speaker 13: What'd you like about your guys in the first half,
- 14:57Speaker 13: building that eleven point lead and carrying it over in
- 14:59Speaker 13: the second half.
- 15:00Speaker 10: I know we held Tennessee on on on their home
- 15:03Speaker 10: Florida a very low percentage shooting from the field. We
- 15:06Speaker 10: held him under thirty percent from the field the first half,
- 15:09Speaker 10: and for the game we held him under forty. That's
- 15:12Speaker 10: usually it's usually go on result and and good things happening
- 15:16Speaker 10: for you.
- 15:16Speaker 14: Right, we're seriously under side. We see that.
- 15:19Speaker 10: You know we're not the biggest team. We had our
- 15:22Speaker 10: our ford Mackenzie Baker broke his foot, so you know
- 15:25Speaker 10: we're playing smaller than we wished.
- 15:27Speaker 14: Uh.
- 15:28Speaker 10: They're physical, they're big, they rebound well. We couldn't clean
- 15:32Speaker 10: the glass, but for their first shots we guarded them
- 15:35Speaker 10: pretty dang good.
- 15:36Speaker 15: Yeah, what do you feel Nate A Mint was doing
- 15:39Speaker 15: so well down the stretch for them.
- 15:40Speaker 10: I don't even what numbers.
- 15:41Speaker 14: I just know numbers.
- 15:42Speaker 10: I don't keep it ten good player long he They
- 15:47Speaker 10: did a good job getting the ball trying to shoot
- 15:49Speaker 10: over us. You know, I he's a hard guy to
- 15:53Speaker 10: stop him from getting a shot off. When it becomes
- 15:55Speaker 10: a possession by possession game where ones, twos or threes
- 15:58Speaker 10: don't matter, just buckets matter. He's off because he can
- 16:01Speaker 10: shoot right over and kind of a mid range, which
- 16:03Speaker 10: not a lot of people not a lot of people do,
- 16:05Speaker 10: and it kind of became that game where it's just like,
- 16:08Speaker 10: how can you find any way to score? You know
- 16:09Speaker 10: what I mean?
- 16:11Speaker 1: Then he was able to do that.
- 16:12Speaker 16: They did a good job.
- 16:12Speaker 10: They got it to him at the nail, and you know.
- 16:15Speaker 14: He did a good job.
- 16:17Speaker 11: It's a regulation of felt like when Tennessee tied the
- 16:19Speaker 11: game got in one or two, you guys would have
- 16:20Speaker 11: an immediate answer, I guess to do down on the road.
- 16:23Speaker 11: What does it say about your team?
- 16:27Speaker 10: You know we were right there, man, like we you
- 16:32Speaker 10: know the reason why all of our players are able
- 16:36Speaker 10: to perform at that at that level and we're here
- 16:39Speaker 10: to begin with, is because we feel we should win
- 16:44Speaker 10: these games, you know what I mean? And like I
- 16:48Speaker 10: feel that we all feel that we should win this game.
- 16:51Speaker 10: Coming in here, we feel that it's a disappointing loss
- 16:54Speaker 10: for us, you know, And so I think it's just
- 16:58Speaker 10: the spirit of our team, you know, not happy to
- 17:00Speaker 10: be there, kind of attitude. I just want to get
- 17:03Speaker 10: it done, and I feel we should get it done.
- 17:05Speaker 10: So I think that we don't wilp in these moments
- 17:07Speaker 10: right now.
- 17:11Speaker 12: Yeah, as you're kind of analyzing this matchup going into it,
- 17:15Speaker 12: when you know how many turnovers your team force is,
- 17:18Speaker 12: how uncomfortable you all tend to make opponents and you
- 17:20Speaker 12: see a team that's turning it over, is that a
- 17:23Speaker 12: strong message to your guys, like, hey, there's opportunities there
- 17:26Speaker 12: in this game.
- 17:27Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 17:28Speaker 10: I mean, you know, we play how we play and
- 17:30Speaker 10: we live with it. I mean sometimes it could be turnover,
- 17:33Speaker 10: sometimes bad shots, sometimes pace. Right, we play how we
- 17:37Speaker 10: play it, and we did a great job with you know,
- 17:42Speaker 10: making it in a full court game of ways. And
- 17:44Speaker 10: they play how they play and they did a great
- 17:45Speaker 10: job of playing power high football and rebounding over us
- 17:49Speaker 10: like they do a great job of. You know, so
- 17:52Speaker 10: both teams kind of had on display what they do.
- 17:54Speaker 15: Well.
- 17:54Speaker 10: You know what I mean, and they like to score
- 17:57Speaker 10: it at the free throw line and around the realm.
- 17:58Speaker 10: We're more of a three points shot and like score
- 18:00Speaker 10: from behind the line. We like to get it up
- 18:02Speaker 10: and down a little bit more. On defense, they like
- 18:04Speaker 10: to kind of, you know, make it a boxing match
- 18:07Speaker 10: in the half court. So that's what makes basketball fun.
- 18:10Speaker 10: Styles make fights, and it's two good fighters out there.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, it's Bucky.
- 18:16Speaker 2: I think broke it down pretty succinctly in terms of style.
- 18:20Speaker 2: In terms of play, I don't think you will see
- 18:25Speaker 2: A and M being out rebounded by twenty five the
- 18:30Speaker 2: rest of this season. Tennessee had twenty four rebound offensive
- 18:36Speaker 2: boards to ten offensive boards for A and M.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Now, there are a lot of misshots, as Bucky.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Said, that's why there were a lot of rebounds to
- 18:45Speaker 2: be had last night. Ninety five to be correct, total
- 18:51Speaker 2: ninety five total rebounds. That's a lot of misshots. Let
- 18:56Speaker 2: me see, Tennessee missed forty two shots, ANM missed forty
- 19:03Speaker 2: two shots. I'm not kidding each team, this is how
- 19:08Speaker 2: close it was missed forty two shots. That's eighty four
- 19:14Speaker 2: missed shots, eighty four miss shots and seventy four free
- 19:20Speaker 2: throw attempts. That's some ugly basketball there, my friends and
- 19:28Speaker 2: I maintained that was Tennessee style basketball. That's the kind
- 19:32Speaker 2: of basketball that Rick Barnes will play every game if
- 19:35Speaker 2: he can. That is not the style of play that
- 19:38Speaker 2: Bucky wants to play every game that he can. Just
- 19:44Speaker 2: really small margins right for error. Here is Rick Barnes.
- 19:50Speaker 13: Afterward saw from your team late in the game fighting
- 19:54Speaker 13: back the way they.
- 19:54Speaker 8: Did, you know, really proud of him. We spent a
- 19:59Speaker 8: long a lot lot of time and the prep obviously
- 20:02Speaker 8: with their style of play and playing against a lot
- 20:05Speaker 8: more players on the court, and I was honestly disappointed
- 20:08Speaker 8: early that when guys were open, they weren't making the pass,
- 20:11Speaker 8: and the guys didn't do exactly what we had practiced.
- 20:13Speaker 8: But got to give a and M and you know, Buck,
- 20:17Speaker 8: he's done a really good job with his style and
- 20:18Speaker 8: what he plays and how he does it. But I
- 20:21Speaker 8: thought as a game kept going, we kept getting better,
- 20:25Speaker 8: especially in the second half, played more with Nate at
- 20:27Speaker 8: the four than we have all year. But I thought
- 20:30Speaker 8: our defense we made adjustments in a couple of times
- 20:34Speaker 8: out of that adjustment, and I think it's just simply
- 20:36Speaker 8: out of habits.
- 20:37Speaker 14: We knew we were going to.
- 20:38Speaker 8: Really work hard at taking away to three, and we
- 20:41Speaker 8: had a couple of guys that still rotated in and
- 20:44Speaker 8: gave up those quick threes. But really proud of the
- 20:48Speaker 8: guy just regrit you know, it really is really neat
- 20:51Speaker 8: and the huddle with him, they stayed together, they kept
- 20:55Speaker 8: finding just finding a way. You know, it's not going
- 20:58Speaker 8: to be the prettiest game. I mean, we haven't played
- 21:01Speaker 8: against a style like that all year, and but we
- 21:05Speaker 8: found a way.
- 21:06Speaker 14: I thought a lot of good things.
- 21:07Speaker 8: I thought, Nate two games in a row now is
- 21:09Speaker 8: really he started off and we set him down, and uh,
- 21:12Speaker 8: I thought, why he was there? Something happened because he
- 21:15Speaker 8: started seeing the game totally different when he came on
- 21:17Speaker 8: the court. I mean his ball hand was certainly a
- 21:20Speaker 8: big kid in the game in the second half, and
- 21:22Speaker 8: then we went back big in the second overtime.
- 21:25Speaker 14: Jalen came up, some big players.
- 21:26Speaker 8: I thought Felix was actullent Bishop after the game he
- 21:28Speaker 8: had Saturday, I thought, came back and made some really
- 21:31Speaker 8: big plays, rebounded the ball and h But everybody tonight
- 21:35Speaker 8: that played made.
- 21:37Speaker 14: A difference in the game.
- 21:38Speaker 8: And Troy got his most significant minutes and I thought,
- 21:42Speaker 8: you know, his three was a huge three and plays
- 21:45Speaker 8: with a kind of confidence that that we liked. But
- 21:49Speaker 8: just a good overall win against a really well coached.
- 21:52Speaker 14: Tough opponent.
- 21:52Speaker 8: And they all I can say is are they found
- 21:55Speaker 8: a way to do it? Our guys found a way
- 21:56Speaker 8: to do it right.
- 21:58Speaker 15: Right with Bishop and Felix. They obviously didn't play the
- 22:01Speaker 15: way they wanted to in Gainsville. Just what do you
- 22:03Speaker 15: think of their response? And it doesn't does it kind
- 22:05Speaker 15: of speak to just who they are focus?
- 22:08Speaker 14: Uh?
- 22:09Speaker 8: You know in this focus you know, and I know Felix,
- 22:12Speaker 8: Uh again, I thought his his attention to detail was
- 22:17Speaker 8: really good. I mean, he's out there having a guard
- 22:19Speaker 8: perimeter guys, and we asked him, he said, no, I
- 22:21Speaker 8: want to do it, and he's gotten so much better there.
- 22:24Speaker 8: Our ball screen covers was better. And obviously Bishop had
- 22:27Speaker 8: a tough, tough win in games Will but came back
- 22:30Speaker 8: and again defensively and rebounding.
- 22:32Speaker 14: I mean, he probably his first ever triple driple double.
- 22:36Speaker 8: And just proud of their focus doing doing exactly what
- 22:40Speaker 8: we needed them to do.
- 22:42Speaker 11: We can overcoming adversity like y'all did the night, getting
- 22:46Speaker 11: over to hump. What can that mean for this team
- 22:48Speaker 11: going forward?
- 22:49Speaker 14: You know, we'll see. That's a great question. And I
- 22:51Speaker 14: told him, I said, I think we grew up a
- 22:53Speaker 14: little bit more tonight.
- 22:54Speaker 8: And uh and I will tell you, guys, I don't
- 22:56Speaker 8: think at any point in time when we started with
- 23:00Speaker 8: this group do we ever practice with three freshmen, you know,
- 23:04Speaker 8: being think we're going to be in the minutes that
- 23:06Speaker 8: they're in. But they've earned it, and we're still going
- 23:09Speaker 8: to need all those guys on our team. I mean,
- 23:12Speaker 8: we still got to do a better job taking care
- 23:14Speaker 8: of basketball. We've got to do that. But I've told him,
- 23:18Speaker 8: I said, we won a lot of games here. We
- 23:20Speaker 8: haven't been a great offensive team by being a team
- 23:24Speaker 8: that's really connected on the defensive end, a team that
- 23:26Speaker 8: really rebounds the ball gets second chance points, an team
- 23:29Speaker 8: that limits team to one shot. And but we've got
- 23:33Speaker 8: to decide who we're going to be and how we're
- 23:35Speaker 8: going to do it. And again, I thought our defensive
- 23:37Speaker 8: focus when it needed to be.
- 23:39Speaker 14: Was pretty good.
- 23:42Speaker 8: Many shot forty three threes and that's hard to guard,
- 23:45Speaker 8: it is, But in the turnover is still too many turnovers.
- 23:51Speaker 8: But obviously some of those were dead ball turnovers, and
- 23:54Speaker 8: that didn't lead to points which were good. And I
- 23:57Speaker 8: think Jakobe, you know, he knows it. Wasn't happy with
- 24:01Speaker 8: his shot in regulation when the scores tied. We're not
- 24:03Speaker 8: looking to do a step back three. And again I
- 24:06Speaker 8: told him, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt
- 24:08Speaker 8: because he played a lot, a lot of minutes and
- 24:10Speaker 8: turned it over there so at the end, and that's fatigue.
- 24:14Speaker 8: And but that's just the confidence we.
- 24:16Speaker 14: Have in him. We think he can play through it.
- 24:18Speaker 8: But just it really it wasn't pretty, but we beat
- 24:24Speaker 8: a really, really good basketball team.
- 24:27Speaker 17: Coach you mentioned yesterday waiting to take some pressure off
- 24:30Speaker 17: with Jakobe. How refreshing was is to see, you know,
- 24:32Speaker 17: guys like Nate obviously, Troy down the stretch, Jalen. Seeing
- 24:37Speaker 17: those guys sort of step up on both ends.
- 24:39Speaker 14: Well, it is.
- 24:40Speaker 8: And again, you know, teams are going to try to
- 24:42Speaker 8: take him out and and and that's fine. I mean,
- 24:44Speaker 8: I think our other guys can do the job. They
- 24:46Speaker 8: just they've never been put in that situation. And but yeah,
- 24:52Speaker 8: and again Troy, Troy's got a really good feel for it.
- 24:56Speaker 8: And we still need mo, We still we need them
- 24:58Speaker 8: all you know, whether it's ethan whatever, but it goes back.
- 25:03Speaker 8: We've got to figure out how we can stop turning
- 25:07Speaker 8: the ball over. I mean, we're just giving up again.
- 25:11Speaker 8: Think about it. Shot wise, tonight, it wasn't that big
- 25:14Speaker 8: a difference. But at Florida what they had fifteen more
- 25:17Speaker 8: shots than we did and thirty points off turnovers. Tonight
- 25:19Speaker 8: it was turnovers kind of even. But we've got some
- 25:26Speaker 8: bound Tonight we had great bounce where we had five
- 25:28Speaker 8: guys in double figures. Dwayne Brown's got to play better
- 25:31Speaker 8: than he did tonight. He wasn't ready for him to
- 25:32Speaker 8: get go. He had a chance to post up early
- 25:35Speaker 8: do this. And that's been the hardest thing with this group,
- 25:38Speaker 8: not knowing from day to day, game to game who's
- 25:40Speaker 8: going to and he already.
- 25:41Speaker 14: Had a good practice yesterday. I wish I could figure
- 25:43Speaker 14: it out.
- 25:44Speaker 8: I mean I just said on the radio the last
- 25:46Speaker 8: time we had to get the ball in bounds, we
- 25:48Speaker 8: put JP in and said, Nate's going to walk up there.
- 25:51Speaker 8: He's got a guy six y five on him lobbing
- 25:53Speaker 8: the ball, and he threw the bounce pass. I mean,
- 25:56Speaker 8: you know, we just lobbing the ball, but Nate went
- 26:00Speaker 8: got it, did a great job handling the ball. But
- 26:02Speaker 8: those are the things where we I still think.
- 26:05Speaker 14: It's a team.
- 26:05Speaker 8: We got to listen a lot better. And you can
- 26:09Speaker 8: get excited in the moment moment, but you still have
- 26:11Speaker 8: to be you have your wish about you, where you
- 26:13Speaker 8: know what we're trying to get done, and still too
- 26:16Speaker 8: many times we're not.
- 26:18Speaker 14: We're not doing that yet.
- 26:20Speaker 2: To older, more experienced, more mature Rick bards A detailing
- 26:29Speaker 2: everything his team did wrong. I when when their freshman
- 26:36Speaker 2: point guard Gillespie took that three point shot at the
- 26:41Speaker 2: buzzer of regulation, I thought Barnes was gonna come on
- 26:46Speaker 2: the court and maybe choke him out right there in
- 26:48Speaker 2: front of everybody. You know, I'm looking into that. I'm going,
- 26:55Speaker 2: surely that's not the play. He drew up in the
- 27:00Speaker 2: huddle because they had a time out. They put the
- 27:04Speaker 2: ball in his hands a mint has been carrying them.
- 27:09Speaker 2: He doesn't see the ball, the corn. The point guard
- 27:14Speaker 2: just dribbles and waits till the end of the shot
- 27:18Speaker 2: clock and hoist a three. And I tell you, I
- 27:22Speaker 2: see this. I watch a lot of college whoop and
- 27:25Speaker 2: I see this a lot at the end of halves
- 27:29Speaker 2: at the end of regulation, whenever one team is either
- 27:34Speaker 2: trying to go ahead, they're trying to tie, they're trying
- 27:36Speaker 2: to win, and the guard just dribbles until there's like
- 27:41Speaker 2: three seconds left and throws the three up. And I
- 27:44Speaker 2: just want to come out of my seat and scream,
- 27:48Speaker 2: go to the rack, go to the hoop, get the
- 27:55Speaker 2: ball in the paint, draw a foul, give yourself a chance.
- 28:06Speaker 2: I don't I don't know why I see that so much.
- 28:09Speaker 2: I don't know why it happened so much. You know,
- 28:12Speaker 2: Rick Barnes is a he's a Hall of Fame coach.
- 28:16Speaker 2: It's like he didn't tell him to do that. And
- 28:19Speaker 2: the inbound Okay, I heard this stat last night. I
- 28:23Speaker 2: think this is right. Tennessee called four timeouts and had
- 28:33Speaker 2: either three or four inbound or five inbound violations when
- 28:42Speaker 2: they could not get and that's from the start of
- 28:44Speaker 2: the game to the end of the game. They could
- 28:48Speaker 2: not inbound the basketball. Now me, I'm thinking, well, this
- 28:54Speaker 2: is basketball one oh one. I mean, this is stuff
- 28:58Speaker 2: that you work on all year long. Is inbounding the
- 29:02Speaker 2: basketball against pressure or with time running out, or when
- 29:08Speaker 2: you need to get the ball up the court and
- 29:11Speaker 2: teams are giving you pressure, sometimes heavy pressure, sometimes token pressure.
- 29:16Speaker 1: You get the ball in.
- 29:18Speaker 2: They could not inbound the basketball last night, and like
- 29:23Speaker 2: Barnes was saying, he puts in his six nine guy
- 29:25Speaker 2: and says, hey, throw this guy the lob.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Just lob it to him because a guy garden.
- 29:30Speaker 2: Him can't can't do it because and then he throws
- 29:33Speaker 2: him a bounce pass. It's like, what do you do me?
- 29:41Speaker 2: I'm probably retiring at that point. I'm going, Hey, if
- 29:44Speaker 2: they can't listen better than that, I don't need this
- 29:48Speaker 2: stuff anymore. You know, I'm getting closer to seventy by
- 29:52Speaker 2: a day. I've won eight hundred and something games, and
- 29:57Speaker 2: this is how they're gonna play. Yeah, I don't think so.

- 33:57Speaker 13: approved in basketball.
- 33:58Speaker 7: Nothing saw that.
- 34:01Speaker 2: The basketball transfer window will open the day after the
- 34:03Speaker 2: national Championship game for fifteen days, which I will tell
- 34:07Speaker 2: you without reading this story. Wait a minute, exactly when
- 34:14Speaker 2: that's going to be. Okay, Okay, it is going to be.
- 34:19Speaker 2: The National Championship game is on April the sixth. It
- 34:24Speaker 2: will be April the seventh. The basketball transfer portal window
- 34:28Speaker 2: will open to the twenty first.
- 34:30Speaker 13: There you go, and the women play on Sunday the fifth. Okay,
- 34:35Speaker 13: so their's is the sixth to the twentieth.
- 34:37Speaker 1: Okay, if you say so.
- 34:40Speaker 7: Well, I'm reading it off the story.
- 34:41Speaker 2: Oh good, I'm reading it off the calendar because I
- 34:44Speaker 2: knew when the you know, that's always my birthday weekend,
- 34:50Speaker 2: that final four. Yeah, and I always have to plan accordingly.
- 34:54Speaker 13: Yes, now, because you don't want to be in a
- 34:57Speaker 13: kitchen somewhere watching.
- 34:59Speaker 2: Basket with the staff, with the staff on a delay.
- 35:03Speaker 7: On the delay when you should be elsewhere.
- 35:05Speaker 1: I should be live.
- 35:07Speaker 2: No, you should time on April other correct. On April
- 35:11Speaker 2: the third, the Texas Rangers opened the home part of
- 35:18Speaker 2: their schedule home portion. Yeap they open on the road
- 35:21Speaker 2: this year. Haven't done that in a while.
- 35:24Speaker 7: Okay, but April third, where are they playing?
- 35:28Speaker 1: I don't remember. April third? They will be in Arlington.
- 35:33Speaker 14: They go to Philadelphia and Baltimore.
- 35:35Speaker 2: Philadelphia and Baltimore and then who today host April third?
- 35:39Speaker 1: The Reds kill the Reds. Okay, I'll be at that game.
- 35:45Speaker 7: Do you even still have players?
- 35:47Speaker 10: Oh?
- 35:48Speaker 1: Yeah, they've got players.
- 35:50Speaker 2: Any players that haven't had a Tommy John yep, Chris
- 35:53Speaker 2: Young's been active. Baby, he's putting a he's putting a
- 35:57Speaker 2: roster together. There's going to be no swing and miss
- 36:00Speaker 2: with this group. It's going to be all contact, all contact.
- 36:08Speaker 2: So we're looking forward to that.
- 36:10Speaker 7: Wait, wait, what are they talking about?
- 36:12Speaker 13: Ty Simpson's going pro and Dante Moore is staying in college?
- 36:15Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 36:16Speaker 1: How about that?
- 36:16Speaker 7: The world Nike he has money.
- 36:19Speaker 2: Nike apparently has a little money to keep Dante more there.
- 36:23Speaker 1: You know what?
- 36:24Speaker 2: And I thought about this, and obviously there's a lot
- 36:26Speaker 2: of money involved in all this, and Simpson said he
- 36:29Speaker 2: was offered six and a half million dollars by the
- 36:31Speaker 2: University of Miami not to go to the NFL. That
- 36:35Speaker 2: would be very tempting to me. Six and a half
- 36:38Speaker 2: million dollar paycheck and in South Beach.
- 36:40Speaker 1: For a year, that would be tempting to me.
- 36:43Speaker 7: Nobody takes a deal.
- 36:45Speaker 1: I would right now. I'd take it for half that
- 36:48Speaker 1: right now, I'd take it for a third of that car.
- 36:50Speaker 22: Take that deal he did. I don't think he got six,
- 36:54Speaker 22: but they got the top they did. They got the
- 36:56Speaker 22: most any quarterback was getting. They did so, so Miami
- 36:59Speaker 22: is rased it twice. Now, okay, but Miami's gonna have players.
- 37:06Speaker 13: Yeah, obviously they've improved the quarterback's opportunities for both of them.
- 37:13Speaker 13: Have I mean, he gave cam Beck a chance to
- 37:16Speaker 13: come back from the injury because he would not have
- 37:18Speaker 13: been drafted in the NFL last year with his bad arm.
- 37:22Speaker 7: And you're on South Beach.
- 37:25Speaker 2: Yeah, should be fairly easy to recruit, right money and beach.
- 37:29Speaker 13: So I'm just gonna ask you a simple question, and
- 37:33Speaker 13: which low in which locale did Dan Marino spend all
- 37:38Speaker 13: his time back home in Pittsburgh or South Beach.
- 37:44Speaker 1: I just I just want what do you think I'm thinking?
- 37:48Speaker 2: I'm thinking winners even after this season, you know through
- 37:52Speaker 2: about April May.
- 37:53Speaker 7: I mean he had to wear those Isotona gloves sometime. Right,
- 37:56Speaker 7: Yeah he did go home. But where did he live?
- 38:00Speaker 1: Oh? He lived with the warm weather.
- 38:02Speaker 2: Okay, But you know, when you get beat up, like
- 38:05Speaker 2: an NFL quarterback does, you don't want cold weather.
- 38:07Speaker 7: It's bad.
- 38:08Speaker 1: It makes your joints hurt.
- 38:09Speaker 12: Man.
- 38:10Speaker 2: You need that sunshine. Yeah, gotta have the sunshine. And hey,
- 38:16Speaker 2: what are what are the would you pull up the
- 38:19Speaker 2: weather forecast for Miami for Monday night, police and see
- 38:26Speaker 2: what that weather forecast is. By the way, prices are
- 38:28Speaker 2: going down, Scott really yep? Get in price this afternoon
- 38:32Speaker 2: was twenty seven hundred. It's down five hundred dollars from
- 38:35Speaker 2: two days ago.
- 38:36Speaker 7: That that's almost reasonable.
- 38:38Speaker 2: Now I have sixty three, Wow, sixty three they got
- 38:44Speaker 2: a front coming in.
- 38:45Speaker 1: That's crazy talk.
- 38:47Speaker 7: So on Sunday to sixty three on.
- 38:50Speaker 2: Monday, Holy moly, a little chili. So that'll be that'll
- 38:55Speaker 2: be some good football weather. Indiana'll appreciate that. That won't
- 38:58Speaker 2: be sweating and all of that. Yes, who is that?
- 39:03Speaker 1: I can't see that far.
- 39:04Speaker 7: You can't see that far.
- 39:05Speaker 13: No, you can't see that this who's ever practicing softballs?
- 39:10Speaker 7: Practicing outside?
- 39:12Speaker 1: Is the sun really shining up in Connecticut?
- 39:15Speaker 7: Well? In Providence it was Rhode Island. Yeah, really it
- 39:19Speaker 7: was forty six degrees in blue sky yesterday.
- 39:22Speaker 1: I guarantee.
- 39:23Speaker 2: No, I'm gonna you know what I'm about to say
- 39:26Speaker 2: to guarantee on February the thirteenth, sixth No, I'm talking
- 39:31Speaker 2: about the boys now, No.
- 39:33Speaker 7: I'm talking about don't talk about the boys.
- 39:35Speaker 1: I'm talking about the boys.
