- 0:02Speaker 1: There is a website that I would not open up
- 0:06Speaker 1: at work. I'm not saying it's not necessarily safe for work,
- 0:10Speaker 1: but there is a website that you can maybe open
- 0:13Speaker 1: up on your phone and check out some of these
- 0:17Speaker 1: very real items that are for sale. The website is
- 0:21Speaker 1: called this is Why I'm Broke dot com.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Oh that sounds terrible already.
- 0:25Speaker 1: If you have ever wanted to just do a little
- 0:29Speaker 1: shopping for items you didn't even know existed, this is
- 0:33Speaker 1: the website for you. Okay, Angie, I want to note
- 0:36Speaker 1: should these items even exist? Do we really need these
- 0:38Speaker 1: amongst the human population? These are some of my favorite ones,
- 0:43Speaker 1: and I did cater some of these too. Well, wait,
- 0:46Speaker 1: Angie might actually really like this. Oh okay, okay, wait.
- 0:50Speaker 1: There is an item called a selfie toaster. It's a
- 0:53Speaker 1: real custom toaster that burns an image of your face
- 0:58Speaker 1: onto your toast. You submit photo, and then the company
- 1:01Speaker 1: creates the custom insert Do we need this?
- 1:04Speaker 3: Is this a past?
- 1:05Speaker 2: That's this website again?
- 1:06Speaker 3: I need it immediately that I mean you would like it?
- 1:10Speaker 1: Yes?
- 1:11Speaker 4: If anyone knows anything about me, it's that I live
- 1:14Speaker 4: to take a selfie. I take four hundred and twenty
- 1:16Speaker 4: five six hundred selfies. Yeah, in hopes that one will
- 1:20Speaker 4: turn out. So if I found the perfect one and
- 1:25Speaker 4: then send it to this company and have my cute
- 1:28Speaker 4: face immortalized in toast?
- 1:31Speaker 2: Oh man, I need this? How much is it?
- 1:34Speaker 1: Or?
- 1:34Speaker 3: You know what you could do?
- 1:35Speaker 1: You could send them all of the bad selfies so
- 1:38Speaker 1: and then you could you know, a symbolic way of
- 1:41Speaker 1: getting rid of them by eating the toast.
- 1:44Speaker 2: No, I don't like those, and then you.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Could clear out some space on your phone.
- 1:48Speaker 2: No, I do not. I only like the good selfies.
- 1:51Speaker 4: If you want to see bad selfies, check my tagged stories.
- 1:55Speaker 3: What about this?
- 1:56Speaker 1: There is this thing called an ostrich pillow disgusting. It's
- 1:59Speaker 1: a giant pillow that you actually put your entire head
- 2:03Speaker 1: inside to take a nap. It as openings for your nose, mouth,
- 2:06Speaker 1: and hands, and it's designed to block out light and distractions.
- 2:10Speaker 3: This is on sale for one hundred bucks.
- 2:12Speaker 4: Now, Oh, is it an ostrich because ostriches put their
- 2:15Speaker 4: heads in the sand? Is that what that is?
- 2:17Speaker 1: I gotta be honest with you. I didn't follow up
- 2:20Speaker 1: that with that much information. No, because it's birds.
- 2:23Speaker 2: It feels weird. I don't like it.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Okay, now I love this. There is a pizza scissors.
- 2:30Speaker 1: There's this giant scissors specifically designed for cutting pizza. The
- 2:34Speaker 1: bottom blade works like a spatulas. You can cut the
- 2:38Speaker 1: pizza and scoop up the slice with the same device.
- 2:41Speaker 1: No more, are you taking either a big, giant long
- 2:43Speaker 1: knife or the rolling pizza cutter?
- 2:46Speaker 3: Would you consider just scissor cutting the pizza?
- 2:49Speaker 2: How much is this? I want it?
- 2:50Speaker 4: This needs to be the standard, not all pizza places.
- 2:54Speaker 3: You're keeping this, yes, keeping it? All right?
- 2:56Speaker 1: I have two more for you here, Angie. What about
- 2:59Speaker 1: motorize ice cream cones. It's a device that holds and
- 3:03Speaker 1: rotates your ice cream so you don't manually have to
- 3:07Speaker 1: turn the cone while licking it.
- 3:10Speaker 4: That is lazy on a level that I cannot respect.
- 3:14Speaker 3: Oh, all, it's too lazy.
- 3:16Speaker 2: It's too lazy. No, I don't like it.
- 3:18Speaker 1: All right, I have one more for you here. You
- 3:20Speaker 1: have probably seen these, but Fundies underwear for two. It's
- 3:25Speaker 1: one giant pair of underwear designed for two people to
- 3:27Speaker 1: wear at the same time. They have four legholes, so
- 3:30Speaker 1: both people climb into the same pair of underwear. Is
- 3:33Speaker 1: this a cute, cuddly moment for you? And your boo
- 3:36Speaker 1: or could we skip this one?
- 3:37Speaker 2: This is the stupidest thing I've ever.
- 3:40Speaker 4: Seen these No, but let me tell you what Mikey's
- 3:44Speaker 4: getting for Chris.
- 3:45Speaker 5: No celebrating life's little victories. Every morning we practice gratitude
- 3:54Speaker 5: on big ninety eight points out. If I could, I
- 3:57Speaker 5: would keep this feeling in a basket job bust it
- 4:00Speaker 5: when it was someone's acting.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Had I just.
- 4:02Speaker 5: Really needed to win? You know, sure your little victories
- 4:04Speaker 5: with us at seven oh one?
- 4:08Speaker 3: Seven?
- 4:09Speaker 1: All right, Angie, did you have a little victory for
- 4:12Speaker 1: us today?
- 4:12Speaker 4: Last night was like the teacher meet and greet for
- 4:15Speaker 4: a lot of the schools. My kids are in the
- 4:17Speaker 4: Fargo Public School district, and Mikey officially back on like
- 4:23Speaker 4: teacher duties, being introduced to students for the first time
- 4:29Speaker 4: since he retired a couple years ago.
- 4:32Speaker 2: He decided to get back in the game teaching.
- 4:34Speaker 3: I got on the horse, Yes, back on the.
- 4:35Speaker 4: Horse, and I me and the kiddles went to his school.
- 4:39Speaker 4: He's over at Roosevelt and I helped hand out little
- 4:42Speaker 4: packets because what mike is good at is like the
- 4:46Speaker 4: teaching part. But then with all of the tedious paperwork.
- 4:49Speaker 4: He hates that part, and I was like, I will
- 4:51Speaker 4: do that part for you.
- 4:52Speaker 3: He helped him out for at least day one.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I did.
- 4:55Speaker 4: And it was really cool just to see parents and
- 4:58Speaker 4: their kids come in super excited for the new school year.
- 5:02Speaker 4: Because the thing with Roosevelt Elementary School, it's because you know,
- 5:06Speaker 4: the one school was it Horace was knocked down, su right,
- 5:10Speaker 4: and so then it was you know, kids moving around
- 5:12Speaker 4: to other schools, and so Roosevelt has third through fifth
- 5:17Speaker 4: of like other schools that are filtered in or whatever,
- 5:20Speaker 4: and so it's a big adjustment for everybody involved, and
- 5:23Speaker 4: it was just nice to see everybody like ready to
- 5:25Speaker 4: get back in the swing of things.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Yeah, very very cool.
- 5:28Speaker 1: I mean, obviously exciting time for the kids, but also,
- 5:30Speaker 1: and we've talked a lot about it, it's a new
- 5:32Speaker 1: school year for teachers too. Yeah, they might be a
- 5:34Speaker 1: little nervous excited. Got the butterflies first day butterflies as well.
- 5:38Speaker 1: So congratulations to Mikey. It's gonna be kind of fun
- 5:41Speaker 1: hearing about his adventures over there.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Yeah. I think he's gonna have a real good time.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Yeah, wonderful.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Well, my little victory is yesterday I had to bring
- 5:49Speaker 1: my daughter to gosh, I really wish I could remember
- 5:53Speaker 1: what the appointment is. It's something to do with her
- 5:55Speaker 1: ears when she was when she was born. If you
- 5:58Speaker 1: don't know this, when babies are born, they wait a
- 5:59Speaker 1: little bit and they test, you know, their ears and
- 6:01Speaker 1: all these things. Well, one of her ears she had
- 6:04Speaker 1: failed this hearing test twice, which is pretty common. I
- 6:08Speaker 1: think for the most part, they can be still filled
- 6:11Speaker 1: with like fluid.
- 6:12Speaker 4: Liam failed his first hearing test when he's a baby.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Yeah, yep.
- 6:16Speaker 1: And then so we've just been waiting until we could
- 6:18Speaker 1: do another one of those appointments. And we took her
- 6:20Speaker 1: in and she can hear out of both ears, which
- 6:24Speaker 1: is wonderful. She could hear out of the left one,
- 6:26Speaker 1: which was the one I was a little bit nervous about.
- 6:28Speaker 1: That was the one she had failed, and then the
- 6:29Speaker 1: right one was already good to go. So whenever I'm
- 6:33Speaker 1: saying sh trying to get her to go back to sleep,
- 6:36Speaker 1: she can hear me out of both ears. Quit pretending
- 6:38Speaker 1: you can't, Kayleie. Were you the easy kid growing up
- 6:49Speaker 1: all right, the one who maybe never caused trouble. Supposedly
- 6:53Speaker 1: if you're labeled as the easy kid, that can follow
- 6:56Speaker 1: you into adulthood.
- 6:58Speaker 3: For better or worse.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Being as the easy kid, it usually means adults found
- 7:03Speaker 1: your temperament pleasant and your behavior compliant. Experts say it
- 7:07Speaker 1: can also mean you learn to keep the peace at
- 7:10Speaker 1: your own expense, which is something to think about if
- 7:13Speaker 1: someone calls you the easy kid. Were you ever referred
- 7:16Speaker 1: to as the easy kid growing up? I'll tell you
- 7:19Speaker 1: right now, I was not.
- 7:20Speaker 2: I've only been called an easy woman.
- 7:23Speaker 3: Oh my god, I'm just kidding.
- 7:25Speaker 2: No, I'm the worst.
- 7:29Speaker 3: Who allows me?
- 7:31Speaker 2: I know I was.
- 7:32Speaker 4: I'm one of four, and I wasn't the easiest of
- 7:36Speaker 4: the four. But I will say my mom makes it
- 7:39Speaker 4: a point to let us know that my sister was
- 7:43Speaker 4: the very difficult kid. Okay, yeah, so not necessarily that
- 7:48Speaker 4: I was an easy kid, but just someone was way worse.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Oh there was that, But no, I don't.
- 7:54Speaker 4: And when it comes to my kids, I think the
- 7:56Speaker 4: easier baby was aid for sure.
- 8:00Speaker 2: My first born.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Yeah. They do say the second born is like the
- 8:04Speaker 3: That's what it is.
- 8:05Speaker 4: They say that the first one can be easy, and
- 8:08Speaker 4: then you're like, I could do this again, and then
- 8:10Speaker 4: you have the second one.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Yeah, and then it was like girl, you.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Thought, yeah, right, where did this come from?
- 8:17Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 8:17Speaker 1: Sure, I was not the easy kid, which would fit.
- 8:20Speaker 1: I'm the second born in my house. My mom tells
- 8:22Speaker 1: stories all the time about how I would not like
- 8:25Speaker 1: sleep through the night until I was almost a year
- 8:27Speaker 1: old or something. She oh wow, twelve months of having
- 8:31Speaker 1: to Ye, I was the worst, that's right. And I
- 8:34Speaker 1: was thinking about this. I have now like a month
- 8:37Speaker 1: and a half old daughter. Yeah, and I was thinking, like,
- 8:41Speaker 1: is she an easy baby? And I don't have a
- 8:44Speaker 1: ton to compare it to. I don't I don't really know.
- 8:46Speaker 1: There are things about her that are very easy, and
- 8:49Speaker 1: she's wonderful. She has been incredible anytime we've gone in public. Yeah,
- 8:53Speaker 1: and she, you know, just kind of sits and sleeps
- 8:56Speaker 1: in her stroller and looks around and checks out the scene.
- 8:58Speaker 1: And we haven't had to spring out of any restaurants
- 9:01Speaker 1: or out of any public places yet.
- 9:04Speaker 2: I think so far that makes her an easy baby.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Liam was.
- 9:07Speaker 4: It was rough taking Liam out into the world. He
- 9:10Speaker 4: was not having He was mad at everything.
- 9:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Yeah, So our question for you here is what was
- 9:15Speaker 1: the hardest part about maybe your baby or them growing
- 9:19Speaker 1: up a little bit and becoming a toddler or whatever.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Past toddler is what's that I don't even know a preschooler.
- 9:26Speaker 1: A preschooler. Yeah, seven oh one two eight zero one
- 9:28Speaker 1: nine eight seven. I'm sure I will have plenty to
- 9:31Speaker 1: discuss on that when we get there. For now, we
- 9:34Speaker 1: are just kind of hoping that the night continues to
- 9:38Speaker 1: be somewhat normal. The nights at the Glitten House, for
- 9:42Speaker 1: the most part, we're on kind of a schedule. Yeah, sorta.
- 9:46Speaker 1: It's between nine and ten. You know, she'll get a
- 9:48Speaker 1: little bit fussy and basically it's just kind of bumper
- 9:52Speaker 1: full of milk. She usually settles down and then we
- 9:57Speaker 1: get to about one one thirty ish, and that can
- 9:59Speaker 1: go one of two ways. We've realized if we get
- 10:02Speaker 1: to her fairly quickly before she really starts balling, yeah,
- 10:06Speaker 1: he screaming. I guess it's pretty easy to get her
- 10:09Speaker 1: to calm down after feeding her, and she'll go back
- 10:10Speaker 1: to sleep, usually within twenty minutes, I would say, But
- 10:14Speaker 1: if we accidentally you know I have been or we
- 10:17Speaker 1: don't wake up right away, Yeah, she gets a good
- 10:20Speaker 1: like minute of screaming in there. We're like, oh my god,
- 10:24Speaker 1: sprint we need two hands all out this to get
- 10:28Speaker 1: her to call him back down.
- 10:29Speaker 3: So that's kind of where we're at. Is that easy?
- 10:31Speaker 3: I'm not sure.
- 10:32Speaker 2: I feel like you're you're right on par Yeah.
- 10:35Speaker 1: And she seems to be a pretty just normal baby.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Uh tiya, what about you? What's the hardest part about
- 10:40Speaker 1: raising your kid or baby or as they got older?
- 10:42Speaker 6: For me, it was the letting go. I was just
- 10:45Speaker 6: so used to fixing everything for my daughter, and then
- 10:48Speaker 6: suddenly she was making her own decisions. Some of them
- 10:51Speaker 6: were decisions I knew We're going to blow up in
- 10:53Speaker 6: her face, but I had to let her learn.
- 10:55Speaker 3: That already makes me terrifying.
- 10:58Speaker 4: Autonomy and that starts early.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Yeah, that's like as soon as there, I know.
- 11:04Speaker 4: Toddler age is like no, they want their autonomy and
- 11:07Speaker 4: they want to do everything their way, and it's usually
- 11:11Speaker 4: bad because they don't.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Know they are not any about the world yet.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Well, thanks for that. I'm really looking forward to a
- 11:18Speaker 1: couple of years down the line.
- 11:19Speaker 4: Here we had the great honor of attending a listener's
- 11:28Speaker 4: wedding over the weekend. Micah and Carson got married, and
- 11:33Speaker 4: Micah happens to be the daughter of our March Dadness
- 11:37Speaker 4: winner Randy Harwood. The Big daddy of Big ninety eight
- 11:41Speaker 4: point seven, and it was really cool to be invited
- 11:44Speaker 4: and it was so dope this the ceremony and the reception,
- 11:50Speaker 4: and again, thank you for inviting us, because I live
- 11:53Speaker 4: to have a good time at a wedding and it
- 11:55Speaker 4: was nice to dress up and celebrate the happy couple.
- 11:58Speaker 2: But there were a few twists.
- 12:00Speaker 4: That I thought, oh my gosh, if I ever get
- 12:02Speaker 4: married again, I want to do this, and I feel
- 12:05Speaker 4: like this is good for everybody who's getting married. The
- 12:08Speaker 4: first one was during the ceremony. I just thought this
- 12:13Speaker 4: was cool. A lot of times there's like the unity
- 12:16Speaker 4: the symbolic unity thing where like they pour colored sand
- 12:20Speaker 4: yep into I've seen that a lot of weddings.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Did you have that at your wedding?
- 12:24Speaker 1: We had something like that. Yeah, yeah, I've seen sand
- 12:26Speaker 1: and people like ty why yes.
- 12:29Speaker 2: As a symbol of unity.
- 12:30Speaker 4: I really thought it was so cool that instead of
- 12:33Speaker 4: doing any of those things, they both took a shot
- 12:37Speaker 4: on the shot.
- 12:38Speaker 3: Ski, which is so cool, which was amazing.
- 12:41Speaker 1: When you're sitting there watching that, you're like, oh, we're
- 12:43Speaker 1: in for a grady.
- 12:44Speaker 4: Yes, we're ready a party, which I thought was so amazing.
- 12:48Speaker 4: So I kind of want to steal a shot sky thing.
- 12:50Speaker 4: The other thing, I feel like this is so og
- 12:54Speaker 4: that they actually the officiants asked if anybody objects to
- 12:58Speaker 4: this union, and I swear we only ever saw that
- 13:01Speaker 4: on TV, yeah, in the nineties and two thousand.
- 13:05Speaker 3: I don't know if that happens a ton at wedding.
- 13:08Speaker 4: I think that one of them you have to be
- 13:10Speaker 4: like really sure that no one is gonna object for
- 13:13Speaker 4: that to work out.
- 13:14Speaker 2: But I thought that was cool. But the twist that
- 13:17Speaker 2: I thought this.
- 13:18Speaker 4: Needs to be adopted in every wedding reception ever, is
- 13:24Speaker 4: that the DJ announced that the happy couple they try
- 13:28Speaker 4: to enjoy their night. Okay, they trying to have the
- 13:31Speaker 4: best time possible, surrounded by family and friends. So when
- 13:34Speaker 4: it's your time to leave, when you gotta leave, do
- 13:37Speaker 4: not pull them aside, irish goodbye.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Yeah, just head on out. I get it.
- 13:42Speaker 2: And that was to me.
- 13:44Speaker 4: I was like, oh my gosh, that's genius, because I've
- 13:47Speaker 4: seen it a million times on both ends where you're
- 13:50Speaker 4: seeing the guests leave and they're like, wait, wait, gonn,
- 13:52Speaker 4: I'm going to tell the bride and groom, and so
- 13:54Speaker 4: then they're waiting to tell the bride and groom, so
- 13:56Speaker 4: they can't leave when they want to.
- 13:58Speaker 2: And then the bride and groom are usually in the
- 13:59Speaker 2: middle of.
- 14:00Speaker 4: Doing something and they're like, hang on, we gotta say
- 14:02Speaker 4: bye to this person.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Aunt Mildred and her plus one.
- 14:05Speaker 4: Like, I just thought that was so genius and Irish
- 14:08Speaker 4: goodbye for the reception and sure.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Enough, Gabe, you left when you left. I left what
- 14:14Speaker 2: I left, and Mica and Carson had no idea.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Yeah. It takes a lot of the pressure off where
- 14:18Speaker 1: you feel like obligated to go try to track down
- 14:21Speaker 1: these people who are insanely busy, I mean, yeah, a conversate.
- 14:25Speaker 1: They're also trying to just enjoy their evening, yeah, and
- 14:28Speaker 1: soak it all in. So every wedding going forward I
- 14:32Speaker 1: think should have the announcement of, hey, when is your
- 14:34Speaker 1: time to go?
- 14:35Speaker 3: Just head on out.
- 14:36Speaker 4: Yeah, And even if they don't make the announcement, I'm
- 14:38Speaker 4: just gonna do it.
- 14:39Speaker 2: I'm just gonna Irish goodbye.
- 14:41Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 14:41Speaker 1: But it was very, very cool. I thought the speeches
- 14:43Speaker 1: were all awesome too. They were all oh yeah I
- 14:46Speaker 1: felt and funny and they had a good time and
- 14:48Speaker 1: they also weren't like twenty minutes long. Yeah, you know,
- 14:51Speaker 1: it's always fun watching the speeches and it's great, but
- 14:54Speaker 1: there are the occasional time where you know the clock's
- 14:57Speaker 1: ticking at ten eleven, twelve minutes.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Yeah, everyone did great.
- 15:02Speaker 4: I will say this, Gabe listening to the big Daddy
- 15:06Speaker 4: of Big ninety eight point seven make his father of
- 15:09Speaker 4: the Bride speech.
- 15:11Speaker 2: I mean it was good. He was real good.
- 15:14Speaker 4: And I feel like you have a lot of competition
- 15:16Speaker 4: next year. Next year you're officially eligible to compete to
- 15:22Speaker 4: be the big Daddy of Big ninety eight point seven
- 15:24Speaker 4: for March dad miss and I don't know, he's stiff competition.
- 15:27Speaker 3: I know I got to work on my potent.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Oh this is scary to say, potential future father of
- 15:33Speaker 1: daughter chops.
- 15:34Speaker 3: Yeah, weddings, Oh my goodness.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Either way, thank you to Micah and Carson and their
- 15:39Speaker 1: entire family and everyone.
- 15:41Speaker 3: It was fun. It was great.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Angie and I sort of were walking around in a
- 15:45Speaker 1: sense of like, well we only kind of sort of
- 15:47Speaker 1: know these people.
- 15:48Speaker 3: Yeah, but whatever thought it was so welcome, so nice. Yeah,
- 15:51Speaker 3: it was great.
- 15:51Speaker 4: After you left, I will say I got on the
- 15:54Speaker 4: dance floor with a bunch of lovely ladies and we
- 15:56Speaker 4: had a whole time.
- 16:01Speaker 3: In the world of rules. In gray areas, one morning
- 16:03Speaker 3: show dares to ask the hard questions. Is it legal
- 16:06Speaker 3: for a child to wear that much makeup? Is it legal?
- 16:09Speaker 4: I understand, I understand it's funny as all get out,
- 16:12Speaker 4: but is it even legal?
- 16:13Speaker 3: On Big ninety eight point seven.
- 16:16Speaker 1: With school starting for some Fargo kids tomorrow, there already
- 16:21Speaker 1: are probably some kids and parents who are plotting their
- 16:24Speaker 1: first Well, how do I get out of school this Friday?
- 16:29Speaker 3: So?
- 16:30Speaker 1: Can you just keep your kid at school? Or excuse me,
- 16:33Speaker 1: can you just keep your kid at home? Just because? Well,
- 16:37Speaker 1: in North Dakota, if you're responsible for a kid between
- 16:41Speaker 1: seven and sixteen, you're legally required to have them in.
- 16:45Speaker 3: School for the whole year.
- 16:47Speaker 1: This is more of a like if you wanted to
- 16:49Speaker 1: take them out for a year, give them a year
- 16:51Speaker 1: off and do a man.
- 16:54Speaker 3: The answer is no, all right.
- 16:56Speaker 1: You can't rack up the unexcused absences. Now, if you
- 17:00Speaker 1: were like, hey, we're gonna do this on Friday, I'm
- 17:03Speaker 1: gonna let you miss school as long as you call
- 17:06Speaker 1: in and let you know the school. No, they're gonna
- 17:08Speaker 1: miss that day. It's not an unexcused absence. You'll be
- 17:11Speaker 1: all right. But once you start racking up a bunch
- 17:13Speaker 1: of these, that's when you might get a phone call
- 17:15Speaker 1: and just an inquiring of what is going on here.
- 17:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 17:19Speaker 3: Yeah, So if.
- 17:21Speaker 1: You want your kid to miss a day of class
- 17:23Speaker 1: because of whatever reason, maybe you just have a doctor's
- 17:25Speaker 1: appointment or something. Obviously, that's gonna be just fine. But
- 17:29Speaker 1: if maybe in October your student's trying to talk you
- 17:32Speaker 1: into hey, how about you know there's summer vacation, how
- 17:35Speaker 1: about a fall vacation? That would be a no go.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Kind of been kind of interesting to think legally at
- 17:43Speaker 1: certain ages, like you just you have to be in school.
- 17:45Speaker 3: There's no a year off sabbatical.
- 17:47Speaker 4: Okay, but here it said seven right between seven and sixteen?
- 17:51Speaker 3: Right, that's right, seven and sixteen, all right, So.
- 17:53Speaker 4: When they're seventeen and they're like, let's go on a
- 17:56Speaker 4: month long cruise, you can.
- 18:06Speaker 1: I saw this post the other day that I wanted
- 18:08Speaker 1: to bring it to you here on Big ninety eight
- 18:10Speaker 1: point seven, and this was an unpopular mom opinion. Oh okay,
- 18:15Speaker 1: I love them, and it said Pampers verse Huggies might
- 18:20Speaker 1: be the most over hyped mom debate. I've used both,
- 18:23Speaker 1: and honestly don't see a massive difference.
- 18:27Speaker 3: A rock that.
- 18:28Speaker 1: People swear by, Wow Angie. It says some moms will
- 18:31Speaker 1: defend Pampers like they're getting paid. Others will say Huggies
- 18:34Speaker 1: wins every time. Let's settle it, Pampers verse Huggies. And
- 18:38Speaker 1: so we posted this on the Big ninety eight point
- 18:40Speaker 1: seven Facebook page. We're gonna have our own little pole,
- 18:42Speaker 1: our own little debate, and it was Pampers verse Huggies.
- 18:46Speaker 1: And I'm learning very quickly that there's or insert your
- 18:50Speaker 1: favorite option.
- 18:51Speaker 4: My favorite is when we're like either or and people
- 18:54Speaker 4: insist on know what different third thing?
- 18:57Speaker 3: Right?
- 18:57Speaker 1: Well, it's kind of funny because I see, I'll be
- 18:59Speaker 1: on it. I don't really know the difference between the two.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Nine times out of ten, you know, I don't have
- 19:04Speaker 1: a light on in the room. I'm just grabbing one
- 19:06Speaker 1: from the mountain of diapers that are in this little
- 19:08Speaker 1: trolley we have, yeah for changing.
- 19:10Speaker 3: Our daughter's diaper.
- 19:11Speaker 1: I'm just grabbing whichever one I can grab first and
- 19:13Speaker 1: make this as fast as possible, and.
- 19:15Speaker 4: For sure, because your daughter is not even two months
- 19:18Speaker 4: old yet. Nope, And so it doesn't make much of
- 19:21Speaker 4: a difference in the beginning, you're grateful that people gave
- 19:24Speaker 4: you all of the diapers for your baby shower. Yeah,
- 19:27Speaker 4: and then you ride those to the wheels go off,
- 19:29Speaker 4: Like as soon as those are done, then you kind
- 19:32Speaker 4: of really have to make a choice. I don't think
- 19:35Speaker 4: it matters very much when they are not super mobile
- 19:40Speaker 4: as babies.
- 19:41Speaker 3: When they're kind of just destined to the position you set.
- 19:44Speaker 4: Am, you can kind of just go with whatever is
- 19:47Speaker 4: the cheapest, but also, you know, guards against leaks and whatever.
- 19:52Speaker 4: It's Once they start moving, like crawling and toddling, that's
- 19:58Speaker 4: when you gotta make.
- 19:59Speaker 2: A ch voice. And the correct choice is Huggies.
- 20:02Speaker 3: Why is Huggies the correct choice.
- 20:05Speaker 4: Because I've tried both, and I feel like Pampers come
- 20:08Speaker 4: off too easy. I don't think their sides and the
- 20:11Speaker 4: tabs are secure enough for a super active baby.
- 20:15Speaker 2: So Liam was, I mean.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Weirdly fast and just escape.
- 20:21Speaker 2: Yes, he really was.
- 20:23Speaker 4: And anytime he was in pampers, those would come on.
- 20:26Speaker 4: I'd find those in the corner of the playpen, like right,
- 20:29Speaker 4: the pampers would come off. But Huggies Little Movers were
- 20:33Speaker 4: super secure and I never had any issues. And sometimes
- 20:37Speaker 4: you know, if you had a coupon for Pampers or something,
- 20:39Speaker 4: it's like, maybe I'll just try these again. And every
- 20:42Speaker 4: time I tried Pampers again, I was let down. It
- 20:45Speaker 4: was always Huggies that pulled me through. So I'm team
- 20:48Speaker 4: Huggies all the way.
- 20:50Speaker 2: It is. She was right, whoever that lady was.
- 20:53Speaker 4: I was like, people defend the diapers like it's their job. Yeah,
- 20:57Speaker 4: it's weird, but it's just when you find something that
- 20:59Speaker 4: works for your baby, like you are committed to you.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Yeah seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 21:05Speaker 1: If you have a baby or a young kid, or
- 21:08Speaker 1: you remember back in the day when the kids were young,
- 21:10Speaker 1: and you were like, oh, yeah, I've found this brand
- 21:12Speaker 1: and I am committed now. It's fairly even, i'd say
- 21:17Speaker 1: on the big ninety eight point seven Facebook page, I
- 21:19Speaker 1: mean there's a lot of Pampers on there, but there's
- 21:21Speaker 1: definitely some Huggies as well. But I have seen this
- 21:24Speaker 1: a couple of times and I did not even know
- 21:26Speaker 1: this was a thing. But it's members mark from Sam's All.
- 21:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know if I even know what that is.
- 21:35Speaker 4: Well, you go to Sam's Club and that's like their
- 21:38Speaker 4: store brand, essentially a diaper.
- 21:41Speaker 1: If you have a diaper brand or company that you
- 21:44Speaker 1: swear by.
- 21:46Speaker 3: I am open to all.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Ears because the way this kid is growing, you know,
- 21:50Speaker 1: we'll be crawling and moving probably way faster than I
- 21:53Speaker 1: would like to do. So seven oh one two eight
- 21:55Speaker 1: zero one nine eight seven Pampers versus Huggies or insert
- 21:59Speaker 1: your favorite brand and let us know this morning on
- 22:01Speaker 1: Big ninety eight point seven, I.
- 22:04Speaker 3: Need some good starting off the day with something good.
- 22:09Speaker 5: This is Gabs good news on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 22:14Speaker 3: All right, today's games.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Good news is for anyone in the FM area who
- 22:18Speaker 1: loves getting outside because Minnesota's Heartland State Trail is only
- 22:24Speaker 1: getting better. This is a fifty mile paved trail that
- 22:27Speaker 1: runs from Park Rapids to cast Lake and it is
- 22:30Speaker 1: one of the very first rail to rail projects in
- 22:33Speaker 1: the entire country.
- 22:35Speaker 3: It's cool.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it's built right on this old railroad line and
- 22:38Speaker 1: right now Cruis are working on a brand new paved
- 22:41Speaker 1: connector trail linking to the Itasca State Park, which I
- 22:45Speaker 1: know there are a lot of people in the FM
- 22:46Speaker 1: area who have like cabins or or I don't know,
- 22:49Speaker 1: townhouses are in that area, which is really cool. The
- 22:53Speaker 1: area's most popular tourist spot is going to be completed
- 22:57Speaker 1: with a tunnel added back in two thousand four, and
- 23:01Speaker 1: they're going to complete and excuse me, with even more
- 23:02Speaker 1: miles nice is what I'm trying to say here that's
- 23:05Speaker 1: going to be added this fall. The project's already pulled
- 23:08Speaker 1: in four point four million dollars in state bonding, and
- 23:12Speaker 1: there's a bunch of federal grants with this, and it
- 23:15Speaker 1: really is going to become a true destination trail for
- 23:18Speaker 1: the entire region. So if you're looking for a Lake
- 23:22Speaker 1: Country road trip this fall, add the Heartland Trail to
- 23:26Speaker 1: this list. It's really cool to see the pictures of
- 23:28Speaker 1: it and all of the things that go with this trail, and.
- 23:31Speaker 3: They're just going to make it even bigger and better
- 23:33Speaker 3: than ever. I love it.
- 23:34Speaker 2: I love any way to get outside and touch grass.
- 23:36Speaker 3: One thousand percent.
- 23:37Speaker 1: And you know my favorite quote if you don't here
- 23:39Speaker 1: it is the world is full of nice people. If
- 23:42Speaker 1: you can't find one, be one. And never forget broken craons.
- 23:45Speaker 1: They still color
