- 0:23carry here with Stusastu. Hey, all right, so we're back with you
- 0:27this episode, and we are going to South Carolina. And I know what
- 0:31you're already thinking, South Carolina. Are you guys doing the Murdoch murders,
- 0:35And that is correct. We are. Well they probably saw it on the
- 0:38title of the podcast. Okay, but also they're hearing it now. It's
- 0:43going into their brain. They're automatically getting upset. I know why. They're
- 0:48like, seriously, more Murdoch murders, blah blah, blah blah. But
- 0:52you know we have opinions. You will learn nothing new in this podcast.
- 0:55Now you won't. But if you're here for the banter, this is the
- 0:59episodes that you're gonna want to hear. Yeah, so because we're about to
- 1:02talk mad shit about the murders, Yeah, you will learn something new.
- 1:07But if you've been tracking this case, yeah, there's people we we okay,
- 1:11we just want to say that, No, there are people that have
- 1:15dedicated their lives for two three four years to these people. We are not
- 1:21those people. I was pregnant. I forgot that this I didn't even realize
- 1:23all this was happening. To be honest, whenever it was going on,
- 1:26I wasn't really into it. Now of a sudden, I'm like, oh
- 1:27my god, these people are terrible. What the hell's going on? So
- 1:30anyway, so we are going to cover the Murdoch murders. We don't like
- 1:34any of them, so yes, we will probably speak ill of the dead.
- 1:38We're not gonna We're not actually big fans of anybody in this, not
- 1:42even the other kids on the boat that were on the boat. Well,
- 1:45the housekeeper. I felt bad, Oh the housekeeper and Stephen. But I'm
- 1:49talking about like the boating an incident and like all that. We'll get into
- 1:51it. That's that's the next episode. But even like the kids that were
- 1:55in both there, like Paul was like made them get on this boat while
- 1:57he was yeah, as they like lottied on around on the you know,
- 2:02the dock to get onto the boat, acting like nothing was wrong. But
- 2:06anyways, we'll get into that in my opinions on that next episode. But
- 2:10this will be a I think three parts. But anyways, we're going to
- 2:15cover a section of the murders each time. So in the first one,
- 2:21we're gonna be covering Stephen Smith and Gloria Satterfield, which we're going in chron
- 2:29chronological order of the people's lives who the Murdock's destroyed because they're terrible human beings?
- 2:35Are they? I didn't get that from watching any of them. Yeah?
- 2:38So anyways, all right, So with that being said, like us
- 2:43on the instagrams, to facebooks, follow, you can join our Patreon.
- 2:46You'll get the episode to day early and they'll be ad free and leave us
- 2:52a review, rate, review, subscribe, anything else to do. And
- 2:55with all that said, let's get into it to Stuart. All right.
- 3:00So Stephen Nicholas Smith was born January twenty, nineteen ninety six, to Fred
- 3:06and Sandy Smith. Stephen was born and raised in South Carolina. He had
- 3:09five siblings, two sisters and three brothers, so a big family. And
- 3:14one of those siblings was actually a twin sister named Stephanie. His older sibling,
- 3:19Joseph, passed away at just two months old. Very tragic. Now.
- 3:23Stephen was described by friends and family as fun, charismatic, outgoing,
- 3:29lots of jokes, I know, but he really was. I don't know
- 3:32why this stuff happens to good people's door. Why good people get murdered.
- 3:36It's just terrible, and he's saying it should happen to people like you.
- 3:38Yeah, probably anyway, So Stephen like, he's like, you know,
- 3:44just a really good guy, life of the party, just fun to be
- 3:46around. Now. Stephen would attend Wade Hampton High School in Hampton, South
- 3:51Carolina, graduating in twenty fourteen. His favorite quote in the yearbook was from
- 3:55Homer Simpsons Too. You'll like this. He had a so it shows his
- 4:00like good sense of humor and everything like that. I'd probably prefer if it
- 4:04was Stan Cartman or something, but anyways, it was about something about dinosaurs
- 4:09or something like that. Anyways, So, like I said, he had
- 4:12a good sense of humor. Was Witty. What are you looking at me
- 4:14for? Why are you putting your hands up in the air like you just
- 4:17don't care? I said, Stan Cartman Department, Stan Cartman, Oh,
- 4:23I didn't even catch that. I was stand just reminds me of that Eminem
- 4:27song. Stan. I wrote you letters, Stan, and then he was
- 4:30in the girlfriends and like in the trunk of the car or whatever. Anyways,
- 4:33So, like I said, good sense of humor, Witty had a
- 4:38really good heart. Stephen was also openly gay, which could not have been
- 4:42easy in a small town like Hampton, South Carolina. After graduation, he
- 4:46began attending OC Tech of Orangeberg to become a registered nurse. Like I said,
- 4:51he's just had a really caring personality that was like, I mean to
- 4:55be a nurse. I mean, I God bless me. I kidn't couldn't
- 4:58do it. I think it's noble and noble professions do. Yeah, because
- 5:02people in pain in the hospital are going to be difficult. Yeah. But
- 5:06anyways, but so he was living with his twin sister, Stephanie at the
- 5:11time, and Stephen had big plans for his life. He dreamed of becoming
- 5:15a doctor one day after he became and worked as a nurse. That was
- 5:17what he wanted to do with his life. Just keep on moving up,
- 5:20Just keep on moving up. On July eighth, twenty fifteen, and around
- 5:26four am, nine one on one received a call from a man on the
- 5:30way to work on Sandy Run Road. He called saying he saw someone laying
- 5:34out in the road. Now he tells the operator that somebody had hit the
- 5:38guy or a person, because he didn't know who or what was happening.
- 5:43Paramedics and police arrive at this I mean, that's what you would think if
- 5:46he saw someone lee in the road and be like, oh my god,
- 5:47someone hit somebody and let them out here. I wouldn't think they were walking
- 5:50down the road and had a hard back and fell over. Yeah, in
- 5:53the middle of the road. So yeah, that kind of saying. I
- 5:56wonder what that guy does after to go to work then early that sucks.
- 5:59Yeah, I don't know. Maybe he's off at noon though, so it
- 6:02couldn't be. Paramedics and police arrive at the scene, but Stephen has already
- 6:08passed. They see a large laceration across his face, and there's no other
- 6:13items around him. There's no signs of Stephen having been hit by a car.
- 6:17His clothes were not tattered, and his cell phone was still in his
- 6:21pocket. Everything on Stephen is in the in place, except this giant laceration
- 6:28across his head. They find his vehicle, which is three miles from where
- 6:31his body is found. The gas cap is off and the car is locked.
- 6:38Yeah, so the vehicle apparently had run out of fuels. What they're
- 6:43ascertaining from the fact that the gas cap is off, Now when searching the
- 6:46vehicle, they find his wallet down by the seat. Now this strikes police
- 6:49is odd, like, why would you leave your wallet in the car if
- 6:54you're going to get gas, if you ran out of gas, the gas
- 6:57caps off, you're going to leave to get gas when you got hit by
- 7:01the car or whatever, Why would your wallet be in the car. So
- 7:05he could have just stayed in his car at that point and just called someone
- 7:09to help. So everything nothing's adding up now. In the official report,
- 7:13the highway patrol officer Michael Duncan reported that he was the one that reported to
- 7:17the scene, states that Stephen and this is in bunny quote bunny Ears too,
- 7:21died from some sort of blunt force trauma to the head. He states
- 7:26that he saw no vehicle debris, skid marks, or injuries consistent with someone
- 7:30being struck by a vehicle. Now, the victim's shoes were loosely tied and
- 7:33both were still on. We see no evidence to suggest the victim was struck
- 7:38by a vehicle in Bunny quotes. So the medical examiner initially determined that this
- 7:44was a homicide after observing that large laceration that started from the right top side
- 7:49of his head to the bridge of his nose. So they're like, they
- 7:54actually thought he got hit by something, not not a car, like an
- 7:57actual object. Possibly some one swung a stick, a bat, a bar,
- 8:03something like at a you know, a high force coming on his face
- 8:07and it like from a moving vehicle while he was walking. Yeah, but
- 8:11not a vehicle. Start, not the vehicle, but they were in a
- 8:15vehicle. They swung something out. Eyes and what you're doing. You're telling
- 8:20me this with your eyes and I they can't see your eyes do I'm saying
- 8:26they could be driving down the road and eyes me. You have crazy eyes
- 8:31all the time, I know, even when you're not trying to have crazy
- 8:33eyes. Yeah, because you drive me crazy and not in a good way.
- 8:37Well, you bought the ticket, enjoy the ride. Meanwhile, Stephen's
- 8:41family is wondering how the hell or where the hell Stephen is and they get
- 8:48they get a call from the sheriff's department and they ask the Stephen's parents come
- 8:52on in. When Stephen's father goes to the Hampton County Sheriff's department, he
- 8:56has told that Stephen is dead from a gunshot wound to the head. The
- 9:01family is in shocked because they can't see how this is possible. This doesn't
- 9:05seem He's not one to put himself in a situation where that would happen,
- 9:11you know, like, this isn't He's not He's not running around with doing
- 9:16god knows what at night or whatever. This He's a responsible guy, family
- 9:20guy, going to school. He's not getting into situation where we that would
- 9:24even be a possibility to give me shot. Well, I don't even understand
- 9:28how they told him that. Well, no, no, this is where
- 9:31it's all. It's no, not Murky Stewart, Murdochy, little MURDOCHI it's
- 9:39a little Murdochy. Now. Somehow, by the afternoon of July eight,
- 9:43they reverse the manner of death to a hit and run. Now they later
- 9:48tell Stephen's family how Stephen had passed away. Yeah, so so we start
- 9:54with the homicide and then we all of a sudden we magically just turned to
- 9:56a hit and run, well a gunshower. Yeah. And then now everyone's
- 10:03finally getting things in, you know, an order telling the family actually what
- 10:07happened. But still there's definitely confusion about the homicide to how do we just
- 10:13change how do we just change our minds? You know, you're the sheriff's
- 10:16department. What what how are your detectives doing out there? Yeah, that
- 10:20you're giving me bad information. That's one hundred and eighty degrees a part.
- 10:24Yeah. So anyway, obviously this does not set well with Stephen's family because
- 10:30they don't believe that Stephen would walk down the road, like he was found
- 10:35that far from his car, just walking down the middle of the road at
- 10:37that time of night. I mean it's the middle of the night, early
- 10:41morning hours. I mean he was found. Yeah, the family believe that
- 10:46Stephen would have cut through the woods or hidden with a vehicle passed. His
- 10:50sister recalls how when they had to walk down the road, Stephen always hit
- 10:54so no one could quote get his sexy ass, and that's sarcastic manner.
- 11:00Yeah, He's like, ain't nobody getting my sexy ass. I'm minding in
- 11:03the woods. There nobody coming down the road. I mean, this is
- 11:05just anecdotal from the family obviously saying he wouldn't walk down the road, but
- 11:09just because they knew him and they were like, he would just never just
- 11:11he was found in the middle. When we say in the middle of the
- 11:13road, he's in the middle. It ain't he got hit and like flew
- 11:16into it, like he was on the side of the road and flew into
- 11:18a ditch or anything like next to him he is smack dab in the middle
- 11:22of the road. This is not they're saying there. Yeah, there is
- 11:26no way in hell he would be doing this just based on his previous behavior
- 11:33and what they know about him, or even a normal like even say you
- 11:35were a person who didn't want you didn't care if your sexy ass was got
- 11:39by somebody. Story, Well, my sexy ass got got by you,
- 11:43Steward. Why you got me? Lucky you? Oh my god. Anyways,
- 11:50anyways, so Stephen's family has left to deal with the tragedy and all
- 11:56these weird ass stories that are coming out of law enforcement, Like you know,
- 12:01you're supposed to be that should have the facts straight before they talk to
- 12:05you everything that, and they're wishy wasatchy going back and forth and everything.
- 12:09It's a homicide. Yeah, now what's a head and run. Yeah he
- 12:13was shot. No, he wasn't, not at all. So Patrolman Duncan
- 12:18with the State Police, the one we read the report that originally did the
- 12:22first reports to the Duncan of the Dunkin Donuts shop. No, is it
- 12:28your police officer, Joe Dunkin Donuts? Well, that's the one I want
- 12:31to go. Okay, it's not funny. So anyway, so he finds
- 12:35out about this and is shocked. He finds out about the whole It was
- 12:39a homicide. Now it's a hit and run. He's like, wait a
- 12:41minute. He knew this was no accident. Stephen was not killed by a
- 12:45vehicle, and he goes He goes on to the mortuary to examine Stephen's body
- 12:50himself. He's like, I need to take a look at this. He
- 12:52describes the state of Steven's body and says that there are no other injuries to
- 12:56the body besides that trauma to the head. When speaking to a medical examiner,
- 13:01he asked for an explanation of the lasceration, like, how are you
- 13:03coming up with this and saying it was by a car? Please explain to
- 13:07me. I'm a highway patrolman, I've seen multiple hit and runs. Explain
- 13:13to me this. So the medical examiner tells him it could have been a
- 13:18truck mirror that hit him. But Duncan is not in agreement whatsoever with this.
- 13:22He's saying, just a truck mirror hanging out hits Stephen. Why he's
- 13:26on the side of the road and somehow he ends up in the middle of
- 13:30the road, I'm not sure with all of his stuff still on him.
- 13:33Anyways, So, like I said, Duncan, He's seen numerous truck by
- 13:37vehicles and the amount of damage done to Stephen would have knocked the mirror off
- 13:41the vehicle if that it was on. So if he gotten hit by that
- 13:46truck mirror, that truck mirror should have been found near the scene out there
- 13:50or something. Yeah, well he's saying, even the whole thing like it
- 13:52should have taken that kind of impact, should have taken the whole mirror off.
- 13:56Now, Duncan went back to the crime scene and scoured for hours.
- 14:00He walked a mile each way from where Stephen was his body was found,
- 14:05looking for any type of car debris that would you typically find from a hit
- 14:09and run accident. And after his further investigation, he was still convinced that
- 14:13this was a homicide. So he tracks down Stephen's boyfriend because I did learn
- 14:18that since this was this this was like class wid as a hit and run.
- 14:22It went into the State Police as as opposed to the Sheriff's department who
- 14:26initially was handling it, but when he got into a hit and run up,
- 14:30the state police took over investigating it. But at this point now I
- 14:37guess they used the medical examiner of the Sheriff's department and was it's very convoluted,
- 14:41Stuart, very convoluted, very murky. IM. I'm sure there's some
- 14:48podcast out there that's done extensive research into this or whatever, but that's where
- 14:52we're going to leave it. We're gonna scratch the service and move on because
- 14:58that's what we do here. Okay. When Duncan is speaking to the boyfriend,
- 15:03he finds out that he was the last one to actually talk to Stephen
- 15:07that night. He says that Stephen called him the boyfriend in about being out
- 15:11of fuel. The boyfriend asked him if he's walking because he hears cars going
- 15:16by, and Stephen says, no, he's not. Stephen mentioned to his
- 15:20boyfriend that he felt like he was being followed and harassed by some guys in
- 15:24a pickup. I'm guessing just driving buying. Maybe he said something, but
- 15:28he never mentioned any names or who was in the pickup or anything. It
- 15:31was just a comment about like, there's some guys harass me. But we
- 15:35have to remember that Stephen is gay. In this small town, you know,
- 15:39this could be happened to him numerous times first time people riding by,
- 15:43say shouting things out the window or something. Yeah. Now the call drops
- 15:50between Stephen and his boyfriend, but Stephen is able to send a text out
- 15:54at around three thirty seven am, which is just twenty minutes before or he
- 16:00has found by the man that has headed to work. After speaking to the
- 16:03boyfriend, Duncan does not believe that the boyfriend had anything to do with the
- 16:07murder or death of Stephen himself. Now, Patrolman Duncan has been a hero
- 16:17of this episode. The hero isn't the hero. Yeah, not all heroes
- 16:22workpe. Not all heroes war cape. Sometimes I opened my own champagne bottles,
- 16:26and every time I do it's too I think. Not all heroes upwear
- 16:30cape. Sometimes you have to be your own hero, Kara. So you're
- 16:33like, I could get a divorce attorney. I could because I opened this
- 16:37champagne bottle by myself next to biscuits. Yep, I've even managed to get
- 16:41biscuits opened by myself. I am not needed around anymore now. After Patrolman
- 16:49Duncans inquiries about Steven's death, he said that every time he entered Hampton County
- 16:56he would get a phone call from the Sheriff's department asking what he was up
- 17:00to. It was kind of like they were watching him. Yeah, it
- 17:02was, he said. It was casual, like, hey, bro,
- 17:06what's going on when you talk to you and what's happened? What's he doing
- 17:08over here in Campden County? Just checking in on you, house, the
- 17:11wife, how's the kids. We know where you live. No, can
- 17:15we take you a lot, talk about a few things, yep. Now.
- 17:19Shortly after Stephen's death, Stephen's father received a phone call from a big
- 17:23time personal injury attorney by the name of Randy Murdoch. Murdoch, it's pronounced
- 17:30Murdoch Stewart and well it looks like Murdoch, I know, but but I've
- 17:33heard it pronounced Murdoch most of the time. I don't care about these people.
- 17:37They're an assholes. Now, I did call someone Hormel Chili mostly.
- 17:42Yes, the last time, the last episode last night when we're recording.
- 17:47Yeah, yeah, this is a new night, This is a new night.
- 17:52No more Hormel Chili. Now, Stephen's family could not understand why out
- 17:59of the blue. Then we get a phone call from one of the Murdoch
- 18:04Murdoch's offering to represent the family. Also, he wanted to do a pro
- 18:08bono for those of you in South Louisiana. That's free of charge. It
- 18:15has nothing to do with a boner. No, So evidently money was not
- 18:19a motive, because I don't know who the hell they thought they were going
- 18:22to sue anyway to get money. Yeah, I didn't know. It was
- 18:25very weird. He was like, he was inserta who are you suing?
- 18:27Because we don't know who did this? If it was a hit and run
- 18:30and it was like a truck or something like maybe like an eighteen wheeler,
- 18:34so maybe driven by a company or something like that, we don't know who
- 18:38those people are. We have no evidence as to where to find those people.
- 18:42Also, why would you do it free of charge? Because most of
- 18:45the time, and they're gonna get Yeah, the injury attorney or whatever will
- 18:51like personal injury guy, he's gonna get his cut is basically you know how
- 18:56that works. So they're like, oh yeah, oh big wig Walmart truck
- 19:00hit you. So we're going to soothe them and I'm going to take my
- 19:02thirty three percent, then you get the rest of it thirty three and a
- 19:06third. Turty three in a turt. I was worked in no or in
- 19:10Um. I worked on Panada for a little bit and there was a bunch
- 19:15of people from Newfoundland and anyways they would say like turkey three in a turt
- 19:19where they from Newfoundland? Newfoundland. Yeah, anyways, I went there one
- 19:27time. I got screeched in got Stewart screeched in. Oh yeah, you
- 19:32went to Saint Johlens. Yeah, I did, just for I had to
- 19:34go to a training and I went to Saint Johnson, got screeched. But
- 19:37I spent most of my time in Halifax Stewart. Stewart came up and visited
- 19:41me. Did I allowed it? Yeah. We went out to Peggy's Cove.
- 19:45There's probably one person in like Nova Scotia that's listening right now that's like,
- 19:49oh my god, totally, I know exactly what you're talking about.
- 19:52And we got lost rolls yep in Peggy's Cove. Yeah. So I used
- 19:59to say, like hang out down on the waterfront. It was a good
- 20:02time. I was there at perfect time too, and then they threw you
- 20:03out in the water in the bay. Yep, told you to swim they
- 20:07did. I had to go to like survival survival training. Anyways, we
- 20:11won't get into my career, but anyways, that was pretty funny. Yeah,
- 20:15we also have to talk about the Coupon incident because people want to know
- 20:18how I got got out of the couponding group. But we'll talk about it
- 20:21later because we've already go off track to its right because she's a little grammar.
- 20:23Yeah, it wasn't even that exciting, guys, but it was totally
- 20:26worth it to me, totally worth it. We'll talk about it in a
- 20:30little bit. Yes, So back to the lawyer, Back to the lawyer.
- 20:33So finally the family they're like, we don't know what the hell is
- 20:41going on. But then month or two down the road they're like, oh,
- 20:45now we know why Murdoch wants to close this case because somebody in that
- 20:52family's name starts popping up as possibly involved in the death of Stephen, one
- 20:56of those little ship headed Murdoch's one of them injurs Yeah, he'said Ginger from
- 21:03Jersey. Eric Cartman, not Stan Cartman. Not Stan Cartman. Gone all
- 21:07full circle. Yes, thank you, thank you for bringing it all,
- 21:12bringing my shame back to me from South Carlina. Yeah, are you even
- 21:17really a fan off? You call him stan Cart? Evidently not anyway,
- 21:21So Duncan He continues to investigate what he believes as a murder because it don't
- 21:25matter what the other people say. He's in his head. He's like,
- 21:27oh no, this is a murder. He and his colleagues they started asking
- 21:32around town and interviewing people that went to school with Stephen. A theme began
- 21:36to emerge. Multi multiple people said that they heard that a few guys two
- 21:41or three stood we're messing around with Stephen and killed him very casual messing around
- 21:47him. How don't go over like messing around with him and then kill him?
- 21:51Like what we're talking about messing around? Like no, I think I'm
- 21:55like messing around, like like like harassing him, and they killed him,
- 21:59not hooking up, messing around. Well maybe some of that too on the
- 22:03d L, you know it was. I just think it's like strange.
- 22:06People are like, oh yeah, they were just like messing around and they
- 22:07just like killed him. It's like, what's wrong? What's going on in
- 22:11this town? Like, what is wrong with you? That's not just something
- 22:14you just escalate too casually to killing somebody. Now, the name around these
- 22:18rumors that keeps coming up is a one person, a name Buster Murdock Steward
- 22:23Buster and then also Paul. Okay, so the story around town is that
- 22:29Stephen called Buster when he ran out of gas. Buster Buster Busters time,
- 22:36And I knew you were gonna say that because you're a child anyway, Anyways,
- 22:42that shouldn't be funny in fifth grade Steward at all. Oh my god,
- 22:49we're gonna get reported anyways. Um, So the story red town is
- 22:53that Stephen called Buster, went around of gas and Buster came to pick him
- 22:56up. Now, he was coming from a soft game. That was Buster.
- 23:00He had one or two friends potentially with him, potentially Paul Buster's brother,
- 23:07and they began harassing Stephen and things got out of hand. Now,
- 23:11at some point Stephen is hit on the head with a baseball bat, which
- 23:14makes sense. This is all rumors. Star. It sounds like you're telling
- 23:19me facts. Well, the Murdochs, there's okay. Well, with the
- 23:22Murdochs, there's it's rumors because they have which we'll get into the history of
- 23:29the family, which I'm sure a lot of people already know, but they
- 23:33have so much influence in this town. A lot of their crimes are like
- 23:37rumored crimes. You know, it's like, oh, there's no actual facts
- 23:41about it because they kind of just like casually like cover it up, change
- 23:45something from a homicide. Nothing's written down, so it's just people talking.
- 23:49But you know, if somebody people around town, if there's more than one
- 23:53person saying something, it's usually turns out there's multiple people coming forward and being
- 23:57like, this is what we heard, what happened, there's probably some truth
- 24:00to it, maybe not all of it, but some so anyway, so
- 24:04they said that Stephen was hit in the head with the baseball bat. Now,
- 24:07when trying to dive into the reason as to why they would do this
- 24:11to Stephen, they found several rumors around Buster being secretly gay, and the
- 24:17Murdoch boys attacked Stephen to try to prove that Buster did not care about him,
- 24:21and this resulted in Stephen's desk because because it's rumored that Buster's falling around
- 24:26with Stephen on the side their lovers. Yeah, because it would be completely
- 24:30you know, like unacceptable probably to the Murdoch family for Buster to be gay.
- 24:33He's wants to be like, Oh, I'm the macho da da da,
- 24:37He's a ginger. Have you seen him gone? Like I said,
- 24:41we're gonna talk trash back, and so if you're any fan of the murdoch
- 24:45you're not gonna like any of this, okay, or even feel sorry for
- 24:48Buster. I was watching a thing about like it was like on the Court
- 24:52TV or whatever, and the guy's like, Oh, I feel so bad
- 24:55for Buster. I'm like, fuck Buster. Buster's terrible too, fuck this
- 25:00whole family. Yeah, So, so Buster's gay, and they're trying to
- 25:06prove Busters trying to prove like, I don't care about this guy at all,
- 25:10and leads to Stephen being harassed and murdered. Now the leads they began
- 25:17to run cold, and multiple people in town knew nothing would come of Stephen's
- 25:21death. They if the Murdochs are involved, nobody's getting in trouble for this.
- 25:25Stephen's family decided to hire a private investigator. Now the private investigator uncovered
- 25:30all of the all of the mentions of the Murdochs, but found that no
- 25:33one in law enforcement actually interviewed anyone from the family. So all these rumors
- 25:37are going around town. Everybody's talking about it, but law enforcement in the
- 25:42town never actually interviewed them. Now, as a sign track before we get
- 25:48to the end of this series on the Murdocks, Yeah, I can't wait
- 25:53for all these little fucking rats to start jumping ship, these local cops and
- 25:57sheriff's departments and locals as they were getting paid off on the d L.
- 26:04I can't wait to find out what happens to these sons of bitches because there's
- 26:07gonna be some investigations into why they're covering all the ship up. I just
- 26:12can't wait for this to come out. It's all that's the most interesting part
- 26:15of what's going to be about to happen to me. Yeah, it's all
- 26:18gonna come out. Who are these people who's got the new, new nice
- 26:22boats and the big big trucks, And they'll start turning so that they're not
- 26:26the ones getting hung out for this. They'll start turning on each other.
- 26:29Hey, I only got like ten thousand dollars. I mean only I was
- 26:32only able to get you know, a little down down down at the state.
- 26:36He got a boat and a truck. He probably got like one hundred
- 26:38thousand dollars in vehicles down there. You might want to go talk to him.
- 26:41I'll tell you everything I know. I only got like five thousand dollars.
- 26:45Yeah. I can't wait for him to start turning on each other though.
- 26:49Yeah, they will do it. Yes. Now, in case you've
- 26:53been living under a rock. Buster is the older brother, Paul is the
- 26:59younger brother, and they are the sons of Alex. I thought it was
- 27:03Alec. No, this fucker. Let me tell you what. I don't
- 27:07even get me stirred on this. His name's Alexander. He goes by Alex,
- 27:11but every Alexander I've ever known it's got an x. It's pronounced alex.
- 27:15But he's like, my name's my name's Aleck, Alex. It's not
- 27:18you're not. He's trying to be fancy with it. Alec with the C
- 27:22is like Alec Baldwin. He's his name is Alexander short Alex. So we're
- 27:27calling him Alex. We're not giving him this, okay, him trying to
- 27:32act like he's fancy. Oh, my name's Alec. What about Paul.
- 27:36Well, that's the redneck. That's the redneck. What's the South Carolina Charleston.
- 27:45I'm from Charleston, Charleston. My name's Alec. Wasn't nice to him?
- 27:49Yeah, it was nice. So anyway, these two Yahoo's are the
- 27:55sons of Alex and Maggie Murdoch, and they come from a long line of
- 28:00solicitors we're talking about going back about one hundred years, and they now had
- 28:03a powerful law office in Hampton, South Carolina. They were working both sides
- 28:10of the isle as far as laws concerned, though, because they were doing
- 28:12prosecution, they were doing defense work. So with all these rumors floating around
- 28:18about Buster and Paul being in the truck, Stephen's family knew that they were
- 28:23gonna have to proceed with caution because they knew the Murdocks had a lot of
- 28:29pull in this town and they had a lot of money. From what I
- 28:30could tell Steven's family, I mean, they were just a regular family.
- 28:33They didn't have this Murdoch money and everything like that. Most people in this
- 28:41town didn't have Murdoch money. No Murdock had Murdoch. But you know who,
- 28:45they look like, poor little shits to all those people in Charleston.
- 28:48That's some real money, Okay, Yeah, they were big money down Charleston
- 28:52they were. Yeah, they weren't a poor man's Charleston Steward over there in
- 28:56Hampton's. Well, if you're a big fish in a little pond, doesn't
- 28:59really matter. Yeah, I don't know. I guess not. Now.
- 29:02Stephen's mother was not giving up, so she worked with the local newspaper to
- 29:04print a story on Thanksgiving in twenty fifteen, pleading with the public. She
- 29:10wanted to get some information, hoping that this story would bring some leads in.
- 29:15And the thing isn't that the newspaper agree to it, because everybody knows
- 29:19that these fuckers did this, Like these Murdochs had something to do with this,
- 29:22Like they all know. Everybody knows it's the pink elephant in the room,
- 29:26and nobody's really naming it, but they're all talking about it behind their
- 29:30backs. Well, I mean, in the story in the newspaper, they
- 29:34didn't even mention the Murdoch's name because they didn't want to get sued. No,
- 29:38but they did stay a prominent member of the society's son may have been
- 29:45involved. So everyone in town knew it was the Murdochs, but no one
- 29:48came forward. Nobody came forward with any type of leads tips nothing. So
- 29:52the case, they're all afraid of these people, these this family, because
- 29:57it's a small town. They're very and very powerful. If they can't physically
- 30:02get to you, they can financially run you through the court system or something.
- 30:06Yeah, so the case goes cold and it would take several years,
- 30:10two murders, and a national scandal to reopen this case into what happened to
- 30:15Stephen. And now we move on to Gloria Centerfield. Okay, nay,
- 30:22Harriet, Nay Harriet. So that was Stevens. That what we like,
- 30:27we said, we're doing chronological So that was at the time what was known
- 30:32about Steven's case where it was at Nobody was talking about the murdocks, and
- 30:38or people were talking about the murdocks, but nobody was coming forward about them.
- 30:42Actually, nobody's putting that shit into a police record. State. It's
- 30:47like Camille Grammar. You know, at the time, we weren't saying it,
- 30:49but now we say it. Now we now we said it. That's
- 30:53what she's Who the hell is that? Off? The Real Housewives in Beverly
- 30:57Hills, the Taylor Armstrong her husband was like abusive or whatever, and so
- 31:03Camille finally said and now we said it, and they said it on camera
- 31:07or whatever. He was like a big thing. Yeah. And then but
- 31:10Taylor's husband ended up killing himself. What Yeah, I don't know that,
- 31:14but anyway, someone else does so anyway, So Gloria Gloria Satterfield Nay Harriet
- 31:19was born in February eighth, nineteen sixty one to Eric and Elizabeth Harriet.
- 31:23She was one of one of seven children in the family, three brothers and
- 31:27three sisters. Now Gloria was born and raised in Hampton, South Carolina,
- 31:32and she would go on to marry David Saderfield. They would have two children,
- 31:36both boys named Brian and Michael. Now Gloria was widowed and would raise
- 31:40her two boys as a single mother. Gloria was a very hard working woman
- 31:44and she loved her sons very much. They were top priority in her life.
- 31:48Now, around two, the year two thousand and we danced on No
- 31:53that's not that I don't know, oh, I think of the Jonas Brothers
- 31:57song. Around the year two, Gloria would begin working for the prestigious Murdoch
- 32:02family, which consisted of Alex and Maggie and their two sons, Buster and
- 32:07Paul Now. At first she worked as the housekeeper, but would eventually become
- 32:12a nanny to Paul when he was just an infant. Paul was very attached
- 32:15to Gloria, more so than even his own mother. She was she took
- 32:21care of him like she raised him. Gloria did old Maggie was old Mags
- 32:27was preoccupied with whatever the fuck rich people handbag yeah, and like um croquet
- 32:36or something like that. I don't know, okay, joson like horse races.
- 32:43So anyways, Gloria was very was very dedicated to the Murdoch family.
- 32:46If they needed anything, she would be there for the two boys. She
- 32:50would go on vacations with them to care for the boys. And she also
- 32:53was around for all the holidays. She would even bring her own children with
- 32:57her to like Christmas and things like that. So she was really part of
- 33:00the family at this point with these Murdochs and the and Buster and Paul.
- 33:07She really she loved them like they were her own sons, especially Paul.
- 33:12Now. During this time, she also worked at other people's homes as a
- 33:15housekeeper. Glory would tell stories of the Murdoch home to friends and family,
- 33:20because this is like the rich the rich people in town. You know,
- 33:22she's over there at her friend's house or whatever, or these other families,
- 33:27and she's you know, she's yeah, just gospel in a little bit now.
- 33:30According to Gloria Maddie mad and Maddie Maddie Maggie Murdoch, she would let
- 33:37the children run wild. She let Paul and Buster basically do whatever they wanted
- 33:42to random up. Yep, she had no control over them, and now
- 33:47she appeared she had no desire to. She was like, oh, boys
- 33:51will be boys. She was one of those kind of mothers. So Paul
- 33:53was a terror. He enjoyed cutting up small animals and reptiles with kitchen knives,
- 33:58like fucking weirdo. Both Buster and Paul were said to have been very
- 34:02rude, entitled, and disrespectful, but Gloria still cared for the boys,
- 34:07especially Paul. Like she saw she was like, oh my god, these
- 34:10are terrible children, but I love them, so why Anyways, there were
- 34:15disrespectful little shits. Basically, family is a bunch of shits, are they?
- 34:21Yes, all of them, every single one of them. Someone find
- 34:24me a Murdoch family member that's not shady as fucking terrible, please, anybody,
- 34:31anybody, Yeah, right in. Maybe the dogs, maybe they might
- 34:37even been we don't know, the cats. We don't know. Maybe the
- 34:42dogs were unentitled to these cats. Now, on February two, twenty eighteen,
- 34:50Gloria was headed out to the Moselle property, which, obviously, if
- 34:54you've been following, you know what the Moselle property is. It's a vast
- 34:59honey in the state. But we're gonna sit here. We're gonna assume they're
- 35:00not stewarts, assumed that they were unawares as I was during this time.
- 35:07So we're gonna explain what it is hunting the state of the Murdochs because sisteing
- 35:12of about seventeen hundred and seventy two acres. That's not an about Stuart,
- 35:17that's an actual that's actual. Yes, I found two three yes on the
- 35:22listing because they recently sold it for I believe three point two million dollars.
- 35:27Why didn't we get in on this, I don't know. I'm guessing it
- 35:30was pretty much discounted too, because there's been multiple people murdered there. We
- 35:34dig up yeah, god, no metal detector and fine stuff. Yeah.
- 35:37Yeah, So anyway, the line is split between um Collaton, Colton,
- 35:45there's gonna be a bald Colleton County YEP, Collaton County, Collaton County,
- 35:51and Hampton County. And it had two point five miles of riverfront property,
- 35:55freshwater fishing, kayaking, and deer turkey and other waterfowl populations to hunt on
- 36:02it. So if you're an outdoorsman, this is like a paradise property right
- 36:07here. Now. It was a favorite place for the Murdoch children to party
- 36:13as well. Nobody's calling a noise complaints so on that that Friday morning,
- 36:21she was going to pick up a check from Maggie Murdoch. Murdoch Murdoch's doing
- 36:25well. Around nine am, a nine one one call is received from Maggie.
- 36:31She tells the nine one one operator that her housekeeper has fallen and can't
- 36:37get and she can't get up. She says that Gloria was bleeding, not
- 36:43laughing about that, guys were just laughing about the commercial and she could not
- 36:49get her up. She says, she doesn't know if she's breathing, and
- 36:53she is uncought. How do you not know she's breathing. If this is
- 36:55your housekeeper, that's been your nanny, you would go up and bout,
- 36:59Oh I got help. Well, I mean, I guess if you don't
- 37:01know how to test if they're breathing. Yeah, sometimes I check on the
- 37:07children, make sure they're breathing and things like that. But you really need
- 37:09like a mirror to like fog it up if you really want to check her
- 37:13they're breathing for sure, or you just put your hand on your back and
- 37:16if they're pulling in air, then they're pulling in air. I know,
- 37:19but she didn't know. We'll give her that, won't give her that.
- 37:22No, we fucking hate Maggie too. I get it. Maggie and Paul
- 37:27are dead people. I get it. They're dead. Yeah, Papa's dead,
- 37:30Okay, but fuck them now. Paul is there at this time,
- 37:36and he speaks to the operator, telling her that she can't talk. She
- 37:39cracked her head. There's blood on the concrete, and she's staining our concrete.
- 37:45For God's sakes, for God is a nice home. Somebody get here
- 37:49and stop it. Yes, please call someone to remove this stain. Does
- 37:52this come out? So? Paul also tells them that she's blading out of
- 37:57her ear onto their carpet. Oh my god, how are we going to
- 38:00climb. This not the carpet. She is outside. These people are just
- 38:06they're out their outdoor carpet. They're outdoor carpet, their outdoor living room.
- 38:12So paramedics they arrive on scene and take Gloria by ambulance to the hospital where
- 38:15she is in and out of consciousness. Now, when examining her, they
- 38:20found out she had a subdural hematoma Stewart, which means pulling of blood under
- 38:27the skull, multiple rib fractures, and a pulmonary contusion. Learn that from
- 38:31watching Scrubs. Yeah you did. Yeah, Okay, it's not good.
- 38:37It's not good. No, no, well, any time there's blood pulling
- 38:39under the skull, it's never under the skin is good. So anyway,
- 38:45so with all these injuries, Glory is life flighted to Charleston, a real
- 38:51hospital anyways, with real rich Damn Hampton, you just got thrown out.
- 38:57I got one listener in Hampton, South Carolina, and they're like, we
- 39:00have real hospital. Sorry subscribe. Unfortunately, the Murdochs have tainted your entire
- 39:06town. Man, I have, and I'm sorry about that, but we're
- 39:10not sorry, but we're not sorry. But anyways, but Lufkin was tainted
- 39:15for a small time because there was actually a serial killer that got caught there,
- 39:20but he wasn't actively operating. But also you're from there and then you
- 39:24moved out. Yeah, so Lufkin is okay. It's okay now. Anyway,
- 39:30So she's life flighted to Charleston, where she has operated on for her
- 39:34broken ribs. The hematoma was inoperable, but she did start showing signs of
- 39:38improvement. However, she would suffer a steep decline. So she's getting better
- 39:43at getting better. Everybody thinks she might be pulling out of it, and
- 39:45then bam was that right after Maggie visited with some chocolates and flowers. Yeah,
- 39:49maybe she was placed on a ventilator and then during this time she contracted
- 39:54pneumonia, which we know from like the Seaward virus. Steward you know what
- 39:59I'm talking about. We're gonna end it out what stud just said. And
- 40:02yes, the COVID we know that that was a common thing that they put
- 40:07on ventilators and then pneumonia sets in. Okay, So she contracted pneumonia and
- 40:12she eventually ended up having a heart attack and she had to be revived.
- 40:15Like this woman has been through sounds real shady. Yes, this woman's been
- 40:20through the ringer. After her pulse came back, she was in a coma.
- 40:23In twenty four days after she fell, her family chose to finally take
- 40:28her off life support. Now, our cause of death was listed as natural.
- 40:32There ain't nothing natural about this story. Yeah, yeah, there are
- 40:37nothing natural about that ship. During the time that Gloria was in the hospital,
- 40:40they questioned the family and they say they found Gloria after four dogs.
- 40:45This is questioning, not Gloria's family, questioning the Murdochs. They said that
- 40:49they found Gloria after four dogs that were roaming the property. We're talking about
- 40:52these shady asked dogs. The Murdock dogs aren't even getting now we're looking for
- 40:57cast kill ore. Yeah, probably terrorizing, like little jinksies out in the
- 41:01wall. Just a little scared little chinksies. Anyway, So they're roaming the
- 41:06property. They say that the dogs tripped her as she was walking up the
- 41:08steps. Now, it was noted that in the nine one one call there
- 41:12were no dogs barking or anything about dogs mentioned. Nobody said, oh my
- 41:15god, the dogs tripped them. Oh my god, there's dogs round the
- 41:20ambulance nobody saw four dogs or a dog. Nobody saw any dogs. Well
- 41:24man where they were wild dogs? And they left and they had nothing to
- 41:28say on the nine one one call, anything to say. They went to
- 41:31hunt I went to hunt ducks or waterfowl or whatever the hell they were there
- 41:35for. So this pack of wild dogs, mesticated wild dogs, just runs
- 41:42up trips. They leave the kennels, they trip her. Then they go
- 41:45to the dog bar runoff. There probably was like a dog like little dog
- 41:50bar. Yeah, they just stop in and talk about everything they've done and
- 41:54get like little cocktails with um like beef broth and everything, and then they
- 42:01sip them out of like a little martini glasses with like a little milk bone,
- 42:07talk to the bartender Hank, and they're like, hey, Hank,
- 42:09how they're hanging And he says, not anymore because I've been Yeah. Anyways,
- 42:16Okay, we'll stop going to it. This is this is what happens
- 42:19to means to do with conversations, like in our day to day life,
- 42:22we just take them too far, So we'll stop that. Really too far.
- 42:27No, we've gone way too far. It might be too far for
- 42:29this podcast, but this this is no, we'll get into like never mind
- 42:36and then okay now. And in the days after Gloria's death, Paul seemed
- 42:43very upset according to those around him. So he did have emotions at some
- 42:47point. Is that at some point in his life he didn't hold emotions for
- 42:52someone, Not many people, I don't think, but the friends did recall
- 42:58him crying about Glory and the days after her death, and at the funeral,
- 43:01Alex offered to help glorious sons. He told them that he was going
- 43:06to sue his own property to make it right, which I don't know how
- 43:12that works out. Very strange, Yes, I'm very strange. I'm gonna
- 43:17very murdochy. So he's gonna get him some money. Now, the boys
- 43:22agree, trusting old Alex to help them out. He sets them up with
- 43:27an attorney who proceeded with suing the Murdoch estate. The sons are waiting for
- 43:32word on the case, but they hear nothing. Alex Murdoch continued to tell
- 43:37them that they were still waiting on the money to show up from I guess
- 43:39the property insurance or yeah. So basically it sounds like maybe so if you
- 43:47were so, if someone were to fall and die or something, on somebody's
- 43:51property. That person's family would say, we're gonna sue you because they died
- 43:54on you from your dogs or whatever to get the money. But basically they
- 43:59weren't even thinking that. They're just they're just like innocent people in this that
- 44:01weren't thinking anything nefarious, like I'm going to get money out of this.
- 44:06But Alex Murdoch put this in this in their ear to like, hey,
- 44:09you should at least get some money for this or whatever. So this is
- 44:13really shady shit on the old Alex. What didn't Old Glory have some life
- 44:17insurance on top of that? No, no, no, Stuart, you
- 44:21don't know what you're talking about. I thought there was a life insurance policy
- 44:24in Boumed as well. No, no, why are you looking at with
- 44:30that way? There's no life insurance. Do you know something? I don't
- 44:31know. I don't know. Okay, you don't know. I might have
- 44:36heard something. Okay, Well I'm just saying what I thought I heard.
- 44:39Okay, Well that's not a thing, so okay, fine, moving on,
- 44:43moving on now. If it is a thing, then you're wrong,
- 44:47I will ye. Please don't no, please don't write it in spawn with
- 44:52that because we don't need stew to think he's right about anything. It's gonna
- 44:55be awesome. Oh, it's over time. The rumor mill in Hampton was
- 44:59turned about what might have happened to Gloria. There were different versions of the
- 45:02story going around. One was that Paul pushed her down the stairs after she
- 45:06found drugs and threatened to tell his parents. Now there's another rumor that Maggie
- 45:10pushed her down the stairs due to the fact that Gloria just knew too much
- 45:14about Alex's pill addiction. She had allegedly found a bag of pills tape to
- 45:19the underside of the bed and she wanted to confront Maggie about it, but
- 45:22was afraid. Now, Alex Murdoch had been suffering from an oxycodo in addiction
- 45:27for several years. Supposedly, No, not supposedly, it's fact, Stewart.
- 45:32He even admitted it in court. I've meant all kinds of crazy ship
- 45:37I was trying to get out of her. He admitted it. He was
- 45:39addicted to pills. Now, some of his some in his family were aware
- 45:44of this, but it was it was a big family secret and if it
- 45:47got out it would taint that murdoch reputation around Hampton County now, when he
- 45:52would detox from his pills, he would frequently do this at the secluded Mozilla
- 45:57estate with Paul assisting his father. They would say, Paul will go out
- 46:00there and be with his dad while he's coming down from these pill addiction and
- 46:04things like that. So the rumors is that, I like to I think
- 46:08that Maggie pushed her because as we'll find out about the shady shit that the
- 46:15Murdochs do, there's a lot of money involved with this, and I think
- 46:19Maggie was just as bad as the rest of them. I wouldn't doubt.
- 46:24I mean, if you tld me either Paul or her pressure down, if
- 46:28you taught me one way or another and you're like, oh, yeah,
- 46:30I Paul did it, I'd be like, Okay, I feel like Maggie
- 46:32did it. Because there's a lot of people that did say that Paul did
- 46:36care about Gloria, like that was like his mother figure, and so I'm
- 46:38questioning whether he actually would do this, but I can see Maggie doing it.
- 46:42And now there's a lot of people that supposed to care about a parent,
- 46:45but they still kill him anyway. Yeah, I guess so. Now,
- 46:49the private investigator that the Smith family had hired to look into Steven's death,
- 46:55he spoke to the caretaker at the Moselle property. Yeah, he's finding
- 46:59all sorts of interesting things around around these Murdochs. He's like, he's looking
- 47:02to all of it. Yeah, he's like, I need to find out
- 47:05about these people. Now, he's not from Hampton County. He's from a
- 47:07county or two over, and he knows about the Murdocks, but he's not
- 47:13impressed by them or scared of him or whatever you want to say. So
- 47:16he has no problems information. I'm getting this information from what you told me.
- 47:22No, that was the lawyer Stewart the lawyer, Yes, okay,
- 47:27I don't know where this private investigator. Well, okay, whatever I just
- 47:30said. Number mind. Like we said, you will get bad information on
- 47:34the podcast, you will get you to be correcting bad information from Stewart,
- 47:38like the life insurance policy. And then this thing that was the lawyer for
- 47:43them, it was for Gloria's family or whatever, was from a county over
- 47:51and knew about him, but didn't give two ships about the Murdochs. Because
- 47:53guess what, you're just a poor man's Charleston Hampton, South Carolina. Right,
- 47:59poor man his life yet louis in yep, wait, no, no,
- 48:06no, probably not going. I don't get that. I don't get
- 48:08the joke. Not funny, You're not funny. Sad we have more money
- 48:13than Charleston here, which is probably not true. Oh that's one hundred percent
- 48:15true. Now, the private investigator wanted oil field trash money here, they
- 48:22got old money. Anyway, as I was saying the private investigator, I
- 48:27want to know if he had heard if the caretaker had heard anything about Stephen
- 48:31while working for the Murdoch. Because they're rich enough to have a caretaker on
- 48:35the property, property that big. You gotta have someone that's like dedicated,
- 48:38just too. Yeah, you gotta have somebody out there cutting, weeding,
- 48:43doing all the things whatever they do out there, whatever a caretaker does.
- 48:45You got all kinds of shit, toget you gotta go kill weeds, moto
- 48:49grass, Yeah, full time job, just taking care of the property,
- 48:52put corn out for the deer, whatever the hell you're doing out there.
- 48:55So the caretaker tells the investing to the dogs at the bar. M HM
- 49:00tended to make sure the thing bar back for the dog bar. Yeah,
- 49:05the barkback backer. Now, then that's pretty tunny. The caretaker tells the
- 49:10investigator no, but he starts talking about the falling of the Gloria, falling
- 49:21of the Glory, the falling of the Gloria. I was gonna say the
- 49:25housekeeper. But she's the nanny, she's she's she's she's everything, star everything,
- 49:31everything. The investigator asked him to tell his story, and he says
- 49:37that about fifteen minutes after he saw Gloria arrive at Moselle that morning, he
- 49:42received a call from a hysterical Maggie saying that Gloria fell. So she does
- 49:46have fake emotions, Maggie because she's hysterical phone call. Yeah. Now,
- 49:52Ronnie, who is the caretaker, He rushes over to help, and that
- 49:57reposition her body so that her feet are not above her head, which I
- 50:00always hear you want your feet above your head. Now, I guess because
- 50:04she had the head wound. No, this is true. Yeah, Now,
- 50:08he says. Paramedics arrive and they take Gloria away. The investigator asked
- 50:14Alex if there was art. The investigator asked Ronnie if Alex was there on
- 50:19the property, and Ronnie is adamant that Alex was not there at the property
- 50:24that day at all. Now, this contradicts what Alex told police and the
- 50:29insurance company who was investigating in the fall. Yeah, so this is finally
- 50:32someone outside of the Murdoch family that was there that wasn't because Gloria was the
- 50:37only one. The other person that wasn't part of the family, but obviously
- 50:40she had the head injury, was ding out of consciousness, couldn't tell them
- 50:45what happened. So anyway, so this is finally somebody that's not in that
- 50:49circle saying, Hey, what they're saying isn't much bull And he wasn't even
- 50:54saying like, I don't think that the caretaker knew that Alex said he was
- 50:58there. He's just telling his story and be like, no, he wasn't
- 51:00there. What are you talking about, Yeah, because he didn't know.
- 51:02He's I don't think he knows he's messing up. Yeah, something something for
- 51:07the Murdocks. Yeah, because of according to Alex, he's saying that when
- 51:12he's telling the insurance company what happens. He's telling the insurance because again,
- 51:15remember this isn't a police investigation, this is an insurance investigation. Because he's
- 51:21told them to sue his estate to get the money for the Satterfield family because
- 51:27I believe one of her sons was special needs or something. So he's he's
- 51:34playing that like altruistic thing, like, oh, you guys need the money,
- 51:37you need the help and everything. Oh yeah, about one for the
- 51:40team. You can sue my state. And so Alex tells the insurance company
- 51:47that he spoke to Gloria after she fell and miraculously and then she told him
- 51:52that it was the dogs that tripped her up. Now, with this revelation
- 51:58that Alex was not on the property, the investigators like, hey, it
- 52:02appears that someone is lying about some shit that happened here during whatever happened with
- 52:07Gloria. Now, since no one witnessed the fall, and without any solid
- 52:13evidence, the case was not reopen. It was well, someone witnessed the
- 52:16fall, just wasn't anybody that they could trust or anybody. No one outside
- 52:22of the Murdoch's witnessed the fall. We'll say that, yes, Now it
- 52:27would take three years before for anyone to even look further into Gloria's death than
- 52:34oops, the dogs tripped her and she fell down some steps and basically for
- 52:38her sons to get some kind of answers on the lawsuit that they had filed
- 52:43against the Murdoch Murdochic State. I don't know, Murdoch estate. Yea,
- 52:51there it is. Now it was discovered that a month before Gloria's death,
- 52:54an insurance policy was taken out on the Moselle property and in the end Alex
- 53:00kept four point three million dollars that was awarded to the sadder Field family for
- 53:07Gloria's death. Yeah, that they never received this money, didn't even know
- 53:10it exists, didn't know it existed, because these are not like law I
- 53:15mean, if you're not savvy, if you're not in this inner workings of
- 53:17being a lawyer, and you have a lawyer and you're asking him, he's
- 53:21like, hey, what's up with the case. And a year goes by
- 53:23and you don't hear anything, and then you're like, hey, what's up
- 53:25with thing? And they're like, oh, yeah, we're still pending everything.
- 53:29All you can do is trust. It wasn't even their ideal in the
- 53:30first place to sue him. Two, they're trusting this lawyer who's just telling
- 53:37them whatever. And then we later find out this is someone who's close to
- 53:40the Murdochs that's doing all this. And then three later on it is revealed
- 53:45that is a large sum of money and that the entrance was taken out a
- 53:47month before she died. That's why I think that Maggie bitch had something to
- 53:52do with it. And yes, I know she's dead. I don't care,
- 53:54Okay, I don't like zero zero fus given him anyway. So that
- 54:00is our first episode of the Murdoch Murders. That's Stephen and Gloria. Now
- 54:07we call me the Murdoch Murder. The murders that are the Murdoch's. So
- 54:13that's our next episode. We will cover the boat crash, where I will
- 54:17stay some controversial things about the kids as they call they call them kids,
- 54:24and like, I'll be honest with you, when I first heard them talking
- 54:27about it, I thought they were like fifteen sixteen year old kids. I'm
- 54:31using the Bunny Bunny Ears kids on this boat. Come to find out,
- 54:37I'm like, wait a minute, things are like twenty twenty one almost twenty
- 54:40one year old adults on this boat. And yes, Paul's a shiitead But
- 54:46anyway, we'll I'll get into my opinions on that next one. But I'm
- 54:50probably might anger some people. You man, Are you gonna saying what other
- 54:52people are thinking? Yeah, say some Maybe somebody else is thinking it too.
- 54:57And now we say it like ram I already said it now, and
- 55:00you were like to say it, and you thought I was a ship for
- 55:04saying it back when, because I thought they were like fifteen or sixteen,
- 55:07Steward, they kept calling them kids. These are not kids. Will I
- 55:09had a problem with it whenever you thought that they were sixteen seventeen. Oh
- 55:13well, anyways, all right, so I guess stud, do you have
- 55:16a y'all need Jesus force? Of course I do. These Mordochs need some
- 55:20fucking Jesus. They are all. Y'all need Jesus, they are they all?
- 55:25Yeah? Yes, I got one. Okay, okay. A Texas
- 55:31robbery suspect begs for release after employees in Florida or not Florida on this now?
- 55:38What do you think Florida or not Florida? Oh my god? I
- 55:45never hated you more? Yes, you did. You hated me more last
- 55:47night. I hated you more just about two seconds ago before we started this,
- 55:52Well, I hated you. I can't remember it was more lovable person.
- 56:00Yeah you're you're just a lab bitch. Yes you are. Now a
- 56:06quick thinking employee at a Latino cellular Okay, let's let's hold up a second.
- 56:12The story is from January four, twenty eighteen. So okay, let's
- 56:16get that straight. Now. Pre COVID is everything measured. Everything's measured,
- 56:22pre COVID or post COVID at this point, it's well used to be pre
- 56:27nine eleven, post nine eleven, pre pandemic, post pandemic. Now a
- 56:34quick thinking employee at a Latino cellular company in Houston, Texas. What's a
- 56:39Latino cellular company? I have no no idea. I mean, we'll have
- 56:45to ask these people. Now. They turned the tables on a robbery suspect
- 56:50in April, the previous aproso in twenty seventeen, and it was all caught
- 56:55on camera. We're gonna have to post these things. Yeah, because it's
- 56:59kind of funny the Houston police acquire you to do additional work besides the bare
- 57:04minimum that you're currently doing. I am the talent. I don't know what
- 57:07else you want me to do, Okay, I mean without me, people
- 57:09wouldn't even come and listen to this. Is this the same thing when you
- 57:14say, like, oh, our child's cute because of my genetics. Yes,
- 57:16And when I say my GenEx means to think that our daughter is cute
- 57:21because of him. Now. The Houston Police Department released surveillan as a video
- 57:28on Tuesday that shows the suspect and entering the store and walking around the counter
- 57:32toward the cash register. It was broad daylight. According to the employed Corina
- 57:38Leon, I was cashing out a customer and she had a baby. I
- 57:44think I was handing her change. Then this guy walks in with a hoodie
- 57:47on. The suspect demands that she opened the cash register, but the owner's
- 57:52wife has heard in the video telling Leon not to and the man heads to
- 57:58the back of the store. Meanwhile, Leon quickly escorts the customers out of
- 58:02the store and locks the suspect inside the store. This is where it gets
- 58:07funny, because you look bored as fucked. Whenever you lock the door from
- 58:14the outside, you can't open it from the inside. When the man realizes
- 58:20he's trapped in the store, he begins to panic and makes multiple attempts to
- 58:24get out, but they got like this bulletpoof glass in the store because they're
- 58:29I'm guessing they're in a rough part of the Houston area, which could be
- 58:32all of Houston at this point. It could be. Now, his first
- 58:37instinct is to fire his gun at the door's lock. Okay, so he's
- 58:42in the store. He's like, oh shit, I'm locked in. Let
- 58:45me shoot the lockout. Just locking this in the movies. So he pulls
- 58:51Well, that's how he thought it worked, So he shot the locks.
- 58:54So when that doesn't work, he attempts to break through the door by running
- 58:58into it. Oh, that doesn't work either. The video then shows him
- 59:04finding the keys behind the counter, but failing to unlock the door because he
- 59:08shot the lock and he damaged the lock. So now he's got the keys
- 59:12to get out, but since he damaged it with the bullets, he can't
- 59:17get out. Yes, Now he paces back and forth. He kicks the
- 59:22door a few times before dropping to his knees. Now, I guess he's
- 59:25like, Jesus, please help me. Jesus. Take the wheel, because
- 59:30take the key, because before we started doing it, y'all need Jesus.
- 59:32He's like, oh my god, these people are like, hey, I
- 59:35need Jesus. Now, Leon admits at this point, she did feel bad
- 59:38for the man. I don't know why, because she's like, oh my
- 59:43god, he's sad and pathetic. This is terrible. This is like,
- 59:45what is wrong with you? They're just sitting out there looking at him like
- 59:49like throw out of a zoo, looking at this clown behind the glass.
- 59:52Yeah, She's like, I don't know if he has a family. I
- 59:55don't know if he has kid. But I have a family too. She's
- 1:00:00said, I could have been shot, we could have been shot, but
- 1:00:02looking at this dumb ass behind the glass, I just feel bad. So
- 1:00:07he's honest, No, those are my words. So the fella eventually falls
- 1:00:15to his knees, begging God for some release or whatever. He throws his
- 1:00:20hands up and surrender and eventually the police arrive and they're like, hey,
- 1:00:24easy peasy. So on December eighteenth, twenty seventeenth, twenty seventeenth, why
- 1:00:30did I say twenty seventeenth. Yeah, that's terrible. The man pleaded guilty
- 1:00:36to robbery charges and was sentenced to five years in prison. Wow, so
- 1:00:42you're going to Roba. Not even an eighteen T T mobile, SPRNT nothing,
- 1:00:47just some off brand cell place, prepaid cellular. You're gonna go steal
- 1:00:52some phones. Then you get yourself walked in there robbing the cash register of
- 1:00:57a couple one hundred bucks or whatever. And now ain't got five years,
- 1:01:02so we've got no name on the fellow. But fellow, you need some
- 1:01:07Jesus. He's out in now, Stuart, I wouldn't watch out. Oh
- 1:01:09you think he's got a ride from there to here, But the problem is
- 1:01:13he's in our driver right now. But he actually got himself locked in the
- 1:01:15car due to the child safely doesn't even have a code hanger to get himself
- 1:01:20out. Get out, so we're safe. Sure we live in Treeport by
- 1:01:23the way. All right, So that's our y'all need Jesus for the ninth
- 1:01:30that's our episode and we will see you back next week for the second part
- 1:01:34of the Murdoch Murders. Anything else you'd like to add, Stuart, would
- 1:01:37you like me? No? I don't. Are you sure? With mayors?
- 1:01:42Just at all? Every whow wow? All right, so we will
- 1:01:46see said by every No one said it would be fun. In fact,
- 1:01:52people said it wouldn't buy everyone say by Stuard, I like to be supersticious.
- 1:02:05My nothing else is working, and my hand is really hurting and I'm
- 1:02:12saying come it's working. By by Cambridge,
