- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Being a life insurance agent is something that's not going away.
- 0:05[SPEAKER_00]: What job can you literally sell one policy a week and make over $100,000?
- 0:11[SPEAKER_02]: Like, ain't no better recurring income than the life insurance policy.
- 0:15[SPEAKER_02]: That's recession proof.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_00]: Because you get paid to a die.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_00]: There's always the client that you can serve.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: You always could create, well, and you help others.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_02]: Let's talk now about the life insurance business.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_02]: Then what I start, how are you helping people make six and seven figures from that?
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: When you're in the insurance business, you must act as a CEO.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_00]: You are the person who has to put the fire up under your own ass.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_02]: Like why people leave in like why?
- 0:39[SPEAKER_02]: And I make it money.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_00]: They don't have any leads.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_00]: They tie the buy and lead.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: They're getting in these bad contracts.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: I had an agent that started out at zero.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_00]: And she made her first 25,000 in too much.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: You make money because you figured out how to structure, how to do the systems, and how to market yourself.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: This is like any other business.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's knowledge, and they come into the business.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_00]: They want to sell policies with no marketing.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_00]: My calendar is full.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: I used to do webinars once a quarter, and I stopped because it was too many people.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_02]: I'm doing it.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_02]: I'm doing this.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_02]: I need to do this.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_00]: We like it, man.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_02]: I know you want to watch this next video, but listen, if you are an entrepreneur, business coach, business consultant or a small business owner who has a story and wants to learn how to create multiple strings of income from your story, I need you to text me right now.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_02]: to six, four, six, six, eight, seven, four, one, five, two.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_02]: That is my personal number.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_02]: I have been an author for over 12 years.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_02]: I've written 10 books, four of them have been best sellers.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_02]: And I've sold over 100,000 books.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_02]: But I've also helped a lot of my clients take their expertise and put it into a story, then create multiple streams of income from that.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_02]: So I want to help you do the same thing.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_02]: So text my book to six, four, six, six, eight, seven, four, one, five, two.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_02]: I, let's go back to the video.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_02]: All right, so welcome to another awesome episode of Inside The Vault with Ash Cash, the greatest money mindset show on the planet.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_02]: Listen, most people think life insurance is just something you buy when you die, but today's guest turned it into a billion dollar lesson on wealth, legacy, ownership, and financial strategy.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_02]: She didn't just sell policy.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_02]: She built a seven figure agency, help protect thousands of families and create it as system that's helping everyday people build real income and the industry most people completely misunderstand.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_02]: See, while everybody's online chasing fast money, Lindsey C Smith mastered one of the oldest wealth built in industries in America and figured out how to make it scalable, recession proof and legacy driven.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_02]: And this episode, we're breaking down how life assurance really works while most families are financially exposed without ever knowing it and how ages can build six and seven figure businesses without cold calling without begging friends or buying leaves.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_02]: If you've ever wanted to understand wealth protection, generational transfer or how to build a high income business in financial services, this is one of the episodes that you
- 3:37[SPEAKER_02]: have to watch all the way through because one strategy in this conversation could literally change your family's financial future forever.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_02]: Ladies and gentlemen, round of applause for my sister.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_02]: Let's see, see, spit.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, you have a pair of this.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, he's get the money.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_02]: Why, Julie?
- 3:58[SPEAKER_02]: I'm excited for this interview because what you've been able to do in life insurance industry is remarkable.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_02]: You know, a lot of, you know, my background was a banker for many years.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_02]: I've been like, I thought,
- 4:14[SPEAKER_02]: I actually think I still have my life insurance, you know, license, but you know, I've tried to be an agent many times.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_02]: I've done like multi-level marketing and agency and to be honest with you, I've never been able to figure out how to make money off of it, right?
- 4:33[SPEAKER_02]: Um, for me, you know, you know, I do so much, right?
- 4:36[SPEAKER_02]: I'm an entrepreneur.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_02]: I do so much, but because I teach financial literacy in my head, it's like the easiest thing is to connect with life insurance.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_02]: And I love the industry because, you know, what we teach from an entrepreneur perspective of like general, you know, you know, you know, recurring income, like ain't no better recurring income than the life insurance policy, because you get paid to a die.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_02]: like literally, right?
- 5:02[SPEAKER_02]: So what you've been able to do is remarkable, you built a wealthy agency, a wealthy agency, like you're teaching ages how to truly be wealthy.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_02]: And so I want to dive into all of that.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_02]: But before we stop, man, for those who don't know who is Lindsey Smith?
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: Wow, what I was an intro right there.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I think you really told them a lot about me, but just to give you guys a little bit more insight on Lindsey Smith, the agent, I'm actually born and raised in Queens, New York.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I gotta know that.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: I went to the HBC, you know, I went to Howard University, but the real HBC, the real one, right?
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: But one of the main things is I got into this industry because I wanted to be in a recession proof business.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: Right, we have even things with AI, all this different stuff, being a life insurance agent is something that's not going away.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: Right, because people always want to deal with people when it comes to their money.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_00]: So, being in an industry where there's no cap on our amount of money you can make, there's always the client that you can serve, you always can create, well, and you help others.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: So, it's an impactful business, right?
- 6:08[SPEAKER_00]: So, you really feel fulfilled.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, I'm not just making well for myself, I'm making well for your family.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_00]: And many other families, right?
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that this business is something like no other.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_00]: I have a book creating wealth through life insurance, that simplifies insurance for people.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: So a lot of people have said, Lindsay, I've never been able to read a book before and really understand.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why we don't buy it.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: So that's the reason why I put that book out.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_00]: I have the wealthy agent community where agents are able to be able to figure out how to make six figures plus and really understand what is the business to be in insurance.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_00]: It's a business.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: This I'm not just an agent.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_00]: It's a business behind it.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_00]: And of course, I have my license to lucrative where I mentor agents.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: and I take them to six figures.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_00]: I take them to seven figures by helping them create systems and structures that allow them to have organic leaves.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: So the whole thing about me is really about putting it impact in people's lives.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: And I love to do that.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_00]: I like to see somebody grow.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_00]: And at the same time, I'm a mother.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_00]: My daughter goes to the fake H.U.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: But more love says she goes to H.U.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: You know, she didn't want to be like my me, but it's
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: And we gotta point that out, we gotta point that out.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_02]: And so, how do you, how do you stumble into life insurance?
- 7:28[SPEAKER_02]: Like, like, did you, like, coming out of Queens, do you all, did you say yo, I'm a, you know, I'm a go to school, and I'm a, I'm a become a life insurance agent, like, I'm not.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: So whoever says they want to just be a life insurance agent, right?
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody ever says that.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's a business that most people actually get in when they lose their job.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: And they're looking for income.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: And they're like, I heard I could get rich off of life insurance, right?
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I got into, I came from fashion.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: I was in fashion and entertainment.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: I had a style in agency.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_00]: I used to do celebrity product placement.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: I get clothes once celebrities.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: And so when the recession happened in 2008,
- 8:05[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the labels were cutting back on pain.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody was cutting back, marketing dollars.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, brands are always like, we want more sales, but we're cutting marketing off.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_00]: That's what happens in recession, right?
- 8:16[SPEAKER_00]: And so that's where I was.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: I was in the marketing side.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: And so I was like, I gotta figure out something else to do what I have my daughter.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: And I said, now I need to do something.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: That's recession proof.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_00]: But it has no capital in my income.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_00]: Because I didn't have a capital in my income before.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: The more I did, the more I can make.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_00]: So when they reached out to me about joining this industry, I was like, this house is interesting.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: And I went and I got involved in it and I learned all the things and here we are today, 16 years later.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, wow, wow.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_02]: And what was it about the life insurance, like business that like intrigue you the most?
- 8:51[SPEAKER_02]: Like what, especially like, did you do the way a payment switch since you come from like money already or?
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, my mom did good, but it wasn't like we were.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_00]: wealthier anything.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: You know, she was middle class, right?
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: But it was a single family home.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: My mom took care of everything.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, it still was little struggles that I probably didn't know about.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: You know, because back in the day, parents didn't really tell you about their struggles.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure she had some, but she made it look good.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: So came from an educated family, everybody went to college, got doctorates and things like that.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_00]: But I think what really made me get into this business, of course, was the recession proof.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_00]: But it was because they were teaching me things about money that I had never learned about.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: I was around all of these people that made millions of dollars when I was an entertainment business.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_00]: And we, everybody was blowing money.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, especially at that time before the recession, right?
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody was blowing money.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_00]: So for me to learn how to really, how money works, how you can make money work for you, that was so interesting.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: For me to be able to take that to myself in my community, that was something I really captured me.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, oh,
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: This is more interesting than I thought, and especially to be in rooms where people don't look like us.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_00]: Because the financial services industry, honestly, it's not us.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's like 2% I think.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: We're a very small percentage, right?
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: So when you get into those real successful rooms in the financial services industry, I mean, we're like, you got to pick us out with a paint.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: You know, so to be able to say, I'm gonna be that.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna be in those rooms.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna learn what they're teaching at people and I'm gonna bring it back to my community.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, and then give me give me like some like aha like some things about life insurance that like the average person would be like I never even thought of that like what is some some misconceptions if you will
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, most people think insurance is just for death, right?
- 10:41[SPEAKER_00]: People are like, when I die and so people will say, well, I don't need insurance because I'm not going to die yet.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: So the big, I'm just crazy for you.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody knows what you're getting.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_00]: You don't know.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_00]: It could be tomorrow.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_00]: That doesn't have a date on it, right?
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: But the biggest thing is that it's a living benefit.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_00]: And most wealthy people use it as leverage.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_00]: Right, they have all different type of things like premium finance and people are using it to buy real estate people are using it to build business people are using it for so many things and we're sitting here stuck in this little box saying it's only death insurance I'm trying to get the least amount possible instead of looking at it as a financial tool.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_00]: life insurance is a financial tool.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: If you leverage it properly, there's so many things you can get collateralized for loans at the bank.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_00]: There's so many things that you can do with it, but because people don't understand it, because they don't know those strategies, they're like, oh, I don't need insurance.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_00]: I was just watching the podcast with Mayno and Dave E's, I'm
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: Right, and they, and um, sorry, yeah, then fab has said like I don't need no insurance.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: Like basically, right, and, and men know it was like, no, you need insurance for your family.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_00]: David seems like I don't have it, right?
- 11:57[SPEAKER_00]: And so so many people tag me on that post.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: And they're like, Lindsey, you got it telling what it's really about.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_00]: And the thing about it is, that's the misconception.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_00]: People think that if I have money in my bank, I also don't need insurance.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_00]: So if that's the case, why do you think wealthy people billionaires have insurance?
- 12:18[SPEAKER_00]: If it was about how much money I had in my bank, no it's the leverage on your money.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_00]: If I could pay $50,000 for a policy over a course of let's say 20 years that pays my family a million dollars.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_00]: That's a million dollars that you gave away tax free that you only pay 50,000 for it.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_00]: So that's like me saying today.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, I'm going to give you 50K for one million.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: Would you take that?
- 12:42[SPEAKER_00]: I won't.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_00]: Right here, cash.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_00]: You would take it.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, 1,000.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_00]: That's what life insurance is.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's leverage on your money.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_00]: And the policies, you have guaranteed policies.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_00]: So as long as you pay your part, you get what you signed up for.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_00]: So why wouldn't I do it?
- 12:59[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not telling you that it's the only thing you should do I'm not telling you get insurance don't have a brokerage account get insurance don't buy real estate I'm saying this should be one of the financial tools in your toolbox for your for your financial plan How can you not having insurance as part of it?
- 13:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah?
- 13:16[SPEAKER_00]: For your trust, I mean, why would I not fund my trust with money from an insurance policy?
- 13:22[SPEAKER_00]: And then now my family can run the business, now my family can keep the houses, now my family can do anything that they need to because the insurance money is going to fund the trust, and then we're also going to use that insurance money to make sure that we are going to invest some of it, so it makes more money.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_02]: No, absolutely.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_00]: Why will we not do it?
- 13:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_02]: And I think, and this is why like shows like this is important and having you like, amplifying your voice is important because I think that these conversations have been had like you mentioned, you know, you know, growing up in a single parent home and you know, not being, not knowing the struggles.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I know in the community, that's what it was like we didn't talk about money.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_02]: You like, you couldn't,
- 14:05[SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember going to the bank with my mother and I couldn't even go to the count of no kind of with her.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_02]: I just sit down.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't know how much money she had, nothing that stuff.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_02]: So I know that these were like secret type of conversations and we don't know what we don't know.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_02]: And so we pass in down, keep your money in the mattress or I don't need life insurance or all these different things.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_02]: Let's talk now about the life insurance business, right?
- 14:30[SPEAKER_02]: Because for me, like I said, like when I left the banking world, that was the first thing I looked at.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, man, I'm good, you know, I'm already no financial literacy.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_02]: I'm a good sales person.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_02]: Let me just do, you know, life insurance.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_02]: I think I started a with AFLAC.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_02]: I try to do like disability insurance or whatever that didn't work.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_02]: I went into the like the music industry a little bit.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_02]: But one of the things that I love about life insurance was that or the business of life insurance was that if I sell somebody a policy, as long as they paid their premium, I got we're in New England right your news and so for me, I looked at it like as a as the gift that kept on giving was like if let's just say year one as an agent, you know, I'm able to get, you know, I don't know, you know, 200,000 I might even go crazy to say a million 200,000.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_02]: and policies, whatever percentage I got off of that.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_02]: If every year I did 200,000, eventually by year five, it's like compounding, right?
- 15:33[SPEAKER_02]: By year five, I'm now getting residuals off of a million dollars worth of policies are assuming that all of those people who don't die and they keep their premiums up.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_02]: So talk about the business, like what is it about the business that one makes it recession prove that two,
- 15:51[SPEAKER_02]: makes it lucrative, and I can restake these questions, but three, how are you helping people make six and seven figures from that?
- 15:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_00]: So first off, I would say, I'm going to tell you the real truth about this business.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_00]: It really depends on how you get into this business.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of agents are not successful because they don't have an identity in this business.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_00]: And what I mean by that is your coming into this business because somebody's telling you going to get rich in the business.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_00]: You don't just get rich because you got a license.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_00]: You make money because you figured out how to structure, how to do the systems, and how to market yourself.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_00]: This is like any other business.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_00]: Most agents have an issue because they haven't went from transition and from being an employee to a CEO.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_00]: So when you're in the insurance business, you must act as a CEO, which means there's a marketing department.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_00]: There's a sales department, right?
- 16:46[SPEAKER_00]: There's a data tracking department and most agents are not successful because they haven't realized that they are a CEO of their own business when they become a life insurance agent.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_00]: And so, that's the way that I hope agents become seven-figure and six-figure agents, because I teach them about what's that transition.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_00]: You are the person who has to put the fire up under your own ass.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 17:08[SPEAKER_00]: So there's my language.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_00]: Because if you don't, who else is going to tell you what you need to do for your business?
- 17:14[SPEAKER_00]: Who else is going to be the person to say, hey, I got to get up and I have to make sure that I have activity.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_00]: I can't just assume people are going to follow my life.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_00]: People are only going to follow my life because I created a system for people to be able to find me and book on my calendar and now I have the appointment.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_00]: But that only happens once I set it up.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_00]: So I think the issue with agents are they're coming into a business and they're thinking it's just going to happen on its own.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_00]: And then they wonder why am I not making the money that this agent is making?
- 17:45[SPEAKER_00]: Why am I not as successful?
- 17:48[SPEAKER_00]: Why do I not have any clients?
- 17:49[SPEAKER_00]: Because you haven't created a system.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I do in my program.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_00]: I teach agents the systems that they need to put in place that be a successful agent.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_00]: The other issue is if I want to make six and seven figures, I can't sit here in my house and just
- 18:06[SPEAKER_00]: be behind the screen.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_00]: I got to get out.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_00]: I got to do podcasts.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_00]: I got to get on stages.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_00]: I got to connect with people that are going to send people my way.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_00]: And I also got to put out a message that somebody can relate to and say, I think I like what she's saying.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_00]: Right, so I think those are the things that are important for agent to be successful.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_00]: I think the recession-proof part is it's being in the business that people always have to deal with their money.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_00]: Whether you're leaving the job and we could just do a roll-over, right?
- 18:37[SPEAKER_00]: Whether you make your money, you're trying to figure out what to do with it.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_00]: Whether you need it in insurance policy, these are things that people are always dealing with at all stages of their life.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_00]: Whether you want to make your kid a millionaire.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_00]: For instance, from my daughter, I created a policy,
- 18:52[SPEAKER_00]: a whole life policy.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_00]: I paid into it for 15 years.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_00]: I got it when she was two.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_00]: I did a $500,000 policy.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_00]: I paid $250 a month.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_00]: Now she's 19, so I'm done paying with it.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_00]: But guess what?
- 19:04[SPEAKER_00]: By time my daughter is 65, she will have over a million dollars in cash.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_00]: For something I've only paid a total of, I think, maybe $100,000 over the 15 years, right?
- 19:14[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 19:17[SPEAKER_00]: When you say you can make your kid a millionaire by plant and seeds for 15 years, the policy forever grows.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_00]: By the time she's 85, it has over 4 million hours in cash.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_00]: Which means it's generational wealth.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
- 19:30[SPEAKER_00]: Because I'm given it to my daughter for a living benefit.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_00]: She could use the cash value, but my grandkids when she decides to have children that children will receive the
- 19:42[SPEAKER_00]: All because I started something for 15 years, years ago, that can't make it money, it compounded every single year.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_00]: So these are the type of things that we could do with insurance.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_00]: If you teach agents the concepts on how to sell it, what are some things people could do with it?
- 19:58[SPEAKER_00]: That's what's gonna make you interested.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_00]: I just tell you how I got insurance policy, it like so.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_01]: Bye.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_00]: But if I tell you, hey, what if I could do a defined benefit plan for you?
- 20:07[SPEAKER_00]: You want to save money on your taxes and you want to be able to put money in from your business so that you can save on taxable.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_00]: At the same time, you have an insurance policy and you have a tax for retirement income in retirement.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_00]: Do you like that?
- 20:21[SPEAKER_00]: It's a little bit more enticing to you.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_00]: Then me just saying, it's an insurance policy.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_00]: You're not gonna jump any agent can say that.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_00]: So I think separating yourself as an agent, meaning taking a time out to educate yourself on strategies that's gonna attract business owners on people who have money to spend.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_02]: What is the profile of a good agent?
- 20:47[SPEAKER_02]: Like, what do you have to, you know, like, nine or five, you got to be have corporate experience, you got to be good at sales.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_02]: Like, what is the, you know, what have you seen?
- 20:59[SPEAKER_02]: Like, this, this is the profile of somebody that says, Oh, that's okay.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_00]: So to be a good agent requires you to have a certain type of personality I feel.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_00]: I feel one you got to be a person who's not scared to talk to people.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_00]: To you got to be naturally good at sales because even though I always like to say I create solutions for people's problems that I'm not a sales person.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_00]: it's still sells.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_00]: Me creating a solution based off of what your goals are is what makes it something attractive to you.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_00]: That's still a form of sells.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_00]: So I feel like people have to be those people who make excuses for every single thing.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's not good in this business.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_00]: So you're going to tell me because this person said, no, you just, you gave up.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_00]: Rejections doesn't, you have to be somebody that rejection, you like that, that person fire into me.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_00]: Let me figure out how I can still come to you.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 21:49[SPEAKER_00]: So I do think the profile of a good agent is somebody who is a hustler, somebody who doesn't accept no, not that I'm badgering you, but I'm going to find another way to get you.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody who is going to be relatable, people got to feel comfortable to talk to you.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's important.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_00]: And then somebody who just really is determined, like I want success.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_00]: I want to help other people.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 22:15[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's what makes a good agent.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_00]: And one of the things I want to say, there are so many agents in this business that unfortunately are coming into this business with a bad situation.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_00]: Meaning,
- 22:27[SPEAKER_00]: You get your license, and you're with the wrong agency.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_00]: You got agencies that are saying, hey, you got a license, but all the cases that you do, we're actually going to write the business for you.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_00]: We're not going to give you anything to get a certain number.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_00]: What is the point of me having a license and I'm going to give you my business and I don't get paid on it and then later on you're like okay well when you get to this number then you get 20% then you get 30% let me tell you as an agent and I'm telling you agents there's no reason why even if it's your first case and you brand new in the business you should at least be getting.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_00]: 60 to 70 percent in commission.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_00]: There's no reason why you get in 20 and 30 and 40 percent.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_00]: You got an agent.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you got you got a license.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I mean, right?
- 23:13[SPEAKER_00]: There's contracts out here to 130 percent, 140 percent depending on, you know, how much business you're doing.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_00]: So you got to think if I come into the business and I'm only making 20 percent on my case, that means out of 10,000,
- 23:26[SPEAKER_00]: But you meet somebody like me who get in 130%, that means when you get 10,000, I mean 13,000.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_00]: So you gotta do five, six cases to make what I made on one.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, yeah.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_00]: So I want agents to understand.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_00]: AGC, something AGC thing, or like, and go like I'm like me, but this is, I want you guys to know as agents that you have the license every agency wants you.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_00]: Especially if you're aging, that's right in.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_00]: So you got to know the business, the business out of it.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's no reason why somebody else is getting the commission for your case that you brought.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_02]: How are you so, because I know, like I said, I've done, like, I've joined, like, multi-lept, you know, you got, like, the multi-market MP pool you got, prom-markers of the world.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_02]: You got the World Financial Groups of the World.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_02]: You have like the independent people who start their own thing like what is like if I want to give getting to life insurance like what what What it where would I start do I join an agency?
- 24:30[SPEAKER_02]: Do I start my own agency like what like with where do I even start?
- 24:34[SPEAKER_00]: Well, my suggestion.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_00]: So there's captive agencies and his independent and captive just means that you're basically supposed to sell that the products from that one company and you're almost like an employee of theirs, right.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_00]: And then independent is where you're supposed to be able to sell any carriers, but it depends on the agency you're with because if they only have five, then those are the five year selling.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_00]: but you're allowed to go to other agencies.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_00]: So if you're a new agent, you have to determine what you want to be.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to be independent, independent means that you're going to have to do a lot of things yourself.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_00]: The reason why the Commission is typically higher in independent organizations is because you get less help.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_00]: Captive it's more help you get less commission typically it's more courageous and they may have benefits for you Yeah, right?
- 25:21[SPEAKER_00]: So I think as an agent if you're coming in you got to decide which way you want to go Captive or independent the next step is to figure out What agency I want to be with do I want to be with an agency that only focuses on disability only focuses on I-E-W-O or agency that focuses on everything
- 25:39[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what products do you want to sell?
- 25:41[SPEAKER_00]: Do you want to be an agent that only sells one product?
- 25:44[SPEAKER_00]: Or do you want to be an agent that can offer your client anything that exists in financial services?
- 25:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like, in my agency, we offer everything.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_00]: So if you only want to sell that, that's up to you.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_00]: But we offer everything so that a client can get anything they need.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_00]: You need disability, long-term care, life insurance, health insurance, anything that you need, we're going to offer it, a new it is, right?
- 26:06[SPEAKER_00]: So it depends.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_00]: So I think as agents, you have to understand that.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_00]: The next part is you got to understand the way commission works.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_00]: If you get a lower commission, you got to do more work.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_00]: You and I can be sitting and doing the same case of somebody who's spending, let's just say something more average of maybe somebody spend a 2,000 in a year.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_00]: But if you got 20% commission and I get 100% commission,
- 26:32[SPEAKER_00]: I get 2,000 and you get 200 or 400, so it's harder for you to make money.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_00]: So you have to, you have to interview agents, must interview the agencies and say, how much help are you offering?
- 26:46[SPEAKER_00]: What are the commissions you're offering?
- 26:48[SPEAKER_00]: Do I have to recruit?
- 26:50[SPEAKER_00]: because I don't think a brand new agent should recruit agents under them.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_00]: How are you gonna help me?
- 26:56[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_00]: If I come under you and you're a brand new and you barely know how to do a app, how are you gonna teach me?
- 27:02[SPEAKER_00]: But I gotta give you money.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_00]: You get money on my upline.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_00]: Why am I paying you if you can't help me?
- 27:08[SPEAKER_00]: I wanna be in an upline, a somebody who's able to help me in my business, help me grow my business, teach me things so I can expand.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_00]: So I think new agents, and that's the promise, a lot of new agents today that's jumping in there.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna start my own business.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_00]: I get it, but how are you gonna help the agents?
- 27:27[SPEAKER_00]: Tell me what you could do for me.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_00]: Because that's what a new agent should do.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_00]: They should be interviewing the people that they're gonna get into the business with and say, what you're gonna do?
- 27:36[SPEAKER_00]: That's what you're gonna do in the business that you start in.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_00]: If I join a business with you, you're gonna say, what are you bringing to the table?
- 27:42[SPEAKER_02]: That's it, yeah.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_00]: If I'm not bringing nothing to the table, why are we split in 50, 50?
- 27:47[SPEAKER_00]: So, I would say those are some really important things, because I do licensed lucrative, which is a five-day challenge, and I train agents, and I help them to increase their income.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_00]: And I show them strategies how to do organic lead systems, so they don't have to buy leads, because that's also a very expensive thing.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_00]: Now, what's happening is I'm here with stories.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_00]: This last one I just did.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody told me they were getting 20%.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_00]: But initially, all of the business that they brought went to their apply.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_00]: So they didn't pay them yet.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_00]: And then when they finally hit a certain number, then they started getting paid 20%.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_00]: So now by time you've exhausted all your warm market, now that's when they're like, okay, now you can get 40%.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_00]: With I don't make no sense.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_02]: Because I mean, for me, it feels like you would want to incentivize somebody early on to get them excited to have them keep going.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_02]: But they're in a drain almost all of your friends and family and take most of that money.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_02]: So then when the money dries up, because now you got cold traffic, you're not making as much.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_00]: And all your family now, agent is not even you.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's not even you, you're not even agent.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's crazy.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't make any sense.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_00]: So the industry, unfortunately, I feel like they're not, they don't really have regulations on that part.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_00]: Even the multi-level marketing agencies, right?
- 29:17[SPEAKER_00]: They have all of these agencies that are forcing people to recruit.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_00]: But they, they haven't learned anything about the business.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_00]: They're just recruiting people.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_00]: And so you got a bunch of agents that don't know what they're doing.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_00]: Recruiting people that don't know what they're doing.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_00]: And then these people are not making any money.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why you have so many agents that fall out the business in a year.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_00]: Do you know that they say, it's only 15% of agents that stay in the business in a year.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_00]: So out of 100 people, 15 people make it for one year, about a third year,
- 29:47[SPEAKER_00]: by the third year, 92% of those people don't make it.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, wow, so what makes the industry like?
- 29:56[SPEAKER_02]: like why people leave it and like why why why why.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_00]: And I make it money, right?
- 30:01[SPEAKER_00]: They make no money.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_00]: They don't have any leads.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_00]: They tie the buy and leads.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_00]: And also at the same time, you got to think they're getting in these bad contracts.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_00]: When you go to an agency and they put you in a contract with a carrier, you might not be able to switch to the next agency.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_00]: There's some companies that are like, you got to wait six months.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_00]: You can't write business.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_00]: So that means I'm stuck here.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't learn nothing.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not right in anything.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_00]: But I found another agency that could help me, but I can't even transfer because I got to wait six months.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_00]: I can't write this carrier.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_00]: So the carrier you learned, you can't even write.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_00]: So it could be a dirty business.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_00]: And really the agency is a winning.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_00]: You know at the end of the day.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_00]: And I get the business side because I own agency.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_00]: You train agents and they hop in around.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_00]: And so it's kind of like that's why the agencies are doing these agents dirty.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_00]: They keep in the renewals when they leave and it could be a dirty game.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_02]: Man, man, talk a little bit about like what was the motivation around building the community doing, you know, your licensed lucrative challenge.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_00]: So I think really for me, I wanted agents to be successful.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_00]: I really wanted our people to be successful.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted more of us in the business and I wanted us to, because if it's more of us, then we could spread to more people like us to get insurance.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_00]: So I wanted them to learn the right way to sell insurance.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to teach them just strategies, structure.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted them to be able to make more money, right?
- 31:38[SPEAKER_00]: We all want to be financially free.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_00]: This is an industry, what job can you literally sell one policy a week and make over $100,000?
- 31:48[SPEAKER_00]: If I saw one policy, right, one policy for $200 premium, and somebody's budget is $200, which a lot of people's budget is $200 or more, right?
- 31:58[SPEAKER_00]: But let's just say for $200, that's $2400, and annual premium.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_00]: If I make even 50% commission, which is a low commission,
- 32:10[SPEAKER_00]: So 1,200 pounds, 52.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I would make in a year for doing one policy.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_00]: If I may 50% commission, which is a low commission, right?
- 32:21[SPEAKER_00]: So this people working 40 hours a week.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_00]: So imagine if I decide, I want to write maybe four cases a week.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_00]: Now I'm in the 200s.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_00]: 300s, the pennants.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_00]: Some people are spending more than 200 hours a month.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_00]: Right, yes, there's some people spending less than that.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_00]: But at the end of the day, one average, you don't have to work as hard as some people are working at jobs that in the financial services industry.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_00]: Even just think of an annuity, it's one thing I want to say.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to realize a lot of agents in our selling annuities, which they said.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_00]: Every body knows somebody who needs to roll in money.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_02]: Right, exactly.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's that it's that it's no it's no harm to the person who you're rolling the money over to because you're not taking any money away from that.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, for sure.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_00]: If I was to roll over a million dollars, right, I make 8% one annuity.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's 80 grand.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_00]: How long is the app going to take us?
- 33:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I remember when I was a banker.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_02]: So I had my life in health insurance license.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_02]: I had my 60, my 63.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_02]: I was working that chase.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_02]: And that was my brand and butter.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_02]: I used to kill a losing season.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_02]: That's in this summer minute.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_02]: It's such an easy game.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like, even if you're not good at life, right?
- 33:40[SPEAKER_00]: Even if you don't understand the old three types of insurance and how to sell it strategy, if you sell the newbies, if you sell one a month.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_00]: Mostly when I'm making 80 grand in a month, and I'm saying everybody has a million dollars.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_00]: So even if you would write somebody that had a $200,000 dollar dollar, $200,000 in their policy, it's still good money.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's still more than an average person.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_00]: And so that's why I feel like this is an industry that people could really make money, but most don't.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's so great.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_00]: The average agent, even though there's a bunch of million isn't this industry, average agent makes like 30 to 40,000.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, that's crazy.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_00]: Because then they're not great at it.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_00]: Then not great.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_00]: They haven't been taught.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_00]: And some of some of them could be great at it.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_00]: But they have the wrong agency.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_00]: The agency is not training them the way they need to be trained.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what made me start what the agent community had a lot of agents hit in me on Instagram.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_00]: Like,
- 34:38[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, I got to create a business out of that.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, for sure.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, I want to create a platform where people can come, where I can train them and not be biased.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_00]: Me not put what my beliefs are on you as an agent.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_00]: I teach everything.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_00]: I have people from across the nation coming, teaching them about everything, from disability, the life insurance to marketing, to branding, to how to do a webinar, to how to build organic leaf systems, everything.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_00]: Everything to build a business.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_00]: And my agents, I mean, when I tell you they'd be sworn in, like they'll start out at the agent that started out at zero.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_00]: And she may have first 25,000 and two months.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's just, it's knowledge, right?
- 35:21[SPEAKER_00]: When sent, that's just like when you get in the room with somebody who learns something that you can apply immediately to your business, it can change it income.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_00]: That's all it is.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why I started the wealthy agent community because I felt that
- 35:33[SPEAKER_00]: agents needed this.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_00]: The agents that are in the community, like Lindsay, I've been in this industry.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_00]: I have somebody who told me they've been in the industry for 14 years.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_00]: They were like, I have never in my life learned what you taught me in the last 30 days.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_00]: And 14 years in the business.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_00]: I completely, he started making, he was doing about 5k and now he's doing 20k a much.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, I never want to go back to 5k.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_02]: How easy is it to get to your license?
- 36:00[SPEAKER_00]: really easy.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's a success, right?
- 36:02[SPEAKER_00]: So honestly, in one week, you can train yourself, you know, do self videos and learn the business and take the test.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_00]: I don't feel like it's that hard, but you do have to study.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 36:18[SPEAKER_00]: You have to study.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_00]: I don't feel like you could use AI and let it cheat.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_00]: You really have to study the path to test.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_00]: You take the
- 36:26[SPEAKER_00]: you got to find the agency, right?
- 36:28[SPEAKER_00]: You have to find somebody who is going to be a good home for you.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_00]: So you're new in the business at that time and I feel like agents don't know what they're looking for.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_00]: No, what to look for.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why they end up in these situations.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_00]: But if you listen into this podcast, you're going to know what to do.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_01]: Right
- 36:50[SPEAKER_00]: And if they're coming into the independent space, then they need to really interview the organization and see what they're looking for.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_00]: They should be seeing that the person is training them, that they're not taking their cases from them and giving it to other agents.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_00]: They need to make sure that they are going to train them to be able to grow as an individual agent.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_00]: And if they want to recruit.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_00]: will allow them to, right?
- 37:15[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's the main thing.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_00]: And after that, I mean, it's education, education, education.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_00]: The more you learn, the better an agent you're going to be, the more people you can help, the more money you want to make.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_02]: Do you, when people join your friends, do you recruit people into your agency as well?
- 37:34[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_00]: So I always put it as open that you can come, that you can join my agency.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_00]: My agency will allow you to come as a new agent, but we do target, you know, season agents that's already in the business, but we do take one new agent.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_00]: But you know, I have requirements, like you need to write a certain amount of cases in a year.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to teach you.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_00]: But you got to do the work.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_00]: I'll bring you to the well.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_00]: But you got to drink the water.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_00]: So we have a whole system.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_00]: I have a portal.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's over 250 videos of different trainers that I did in different other people.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_00]: I've had come train.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_00]: They get that.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_00]: They're able to watch the videos.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_00]: I find a lot of agents say, hey, when they watch the videos, they were able to learn things really quickly and hurry up and get started.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_00]: The program is really set up.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_00]: We have a chat.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_00]: So daily we're able to talk to each other.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_00]: If you got a case and got some need some help.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_00]: We drop it in the chat.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_00]: You get a bunch of agents help.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_00]: We put it together.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_00]: So it's, you know, it's really set up nice.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_00]: We do in person events.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_00]: We just have one yesterday.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_00]: And we're well.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_00]: So we do workshops in there.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody gets to connect and we focus.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_00]: We focus in on AI now helping them build their business with AI for insurance.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_02]: Talk about that for a second.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_02]: Like how how has AI help?
- 38:55[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my God.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_00]: Being a child in this industry.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_00]: AI has come in and completely changed the industry.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_00]: So now you're really able to have like those AI out the text box.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_00]: Now you're able to utilize it like for it to answer your calls for it to call leads.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_00]: Also, AI helping you for lead generators like builds and e-books, you know, little things to put out their lead magnets so that they can get clients.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_00]: So when we talk about building an organic leases system, that means we're going to go ahead and create a lead magnet, whether it's a e-book or some kind of
- 39:30[SPEAKER_00]: document that you're going to give to people and then you're able to people want to read that.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_00]: So you give it to them for free.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_00]: You get their information.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_00]: Now I can email them all the different marketing emails about insurance, do AI, right?
- 39:44[SPEAKER_00]: And now they can book on my calendar from the email.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_00]: So I wake up in the morning and my calendar is full.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_00]: because people overnight and throughout the time are always looking and they find your ebooks and they're able to just sign up.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_00]: So I feel like AI has made the business a lot easier.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_00]: I think even just helping put in things together, like helping you organize what to sell to a client, you know, different situations.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think it helps you organize your business.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_00]: Like part of my mentorship, I was able to talk to AI about everything I wanted to do and it helped me organize my thoughts, right?
- 40:19[SPEAKER_00]: So I feel like AI has really come into the business and change the lives for us as insurance agent.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I love that.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_02]: Can somebody, let's just say like, let's just use me as the avatar, can somebody like me,
- 40:33[SPEAKER_02]: be successful in the life insurance business.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_02]: Like somebody who like I have a podcast, I have multiple businesses but I know, right?
- 40:44[SPEAKER_02]: Like people take financial advice from me.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_02]: And so I want to create a bit, like I want to get paid off of referring people or however, like how would that work for someone like me?
- 40:58[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_00]: So I have a few partnerships like that.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_00]: So basically, I would encourage you get the license.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_00]: If you have the license, I'm able to share the case with you.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_00]: So we would just have a least system where normally I build out a calendar just for you.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_00]: So anybody who you refer will book through that calendar.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_00]: It will show me as you.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_00]: And then any business we do automatically, you'll go on the case for whatever percentage that we discuss.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_00]: So you also get the renewals as well.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_00]: So as long as that person keeps the case, you will get your portion.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_00]: The insurance company will pay you directly because I would contract you, whatever carrier that we're going to do the business with.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_00]: So anybody who has influence is really good in this space to start a life insurance business.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_00]: You know, especially when you're given financial advice, right?
- 41:48[SPEAKER_00]: People are going to look to you and be like, oh, and you don't even have to fully learn it because you're you're passing it off, or show you just no enough to entice them, right?
- 41:58[SPEAKER_00]: And then whatever team you got set up.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm literally, I'm on the radio every Monday given financial advice in over 90 markets.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, I got, you know, I'm on this show, you know, millions of views, millions of youth's audio.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_00]: And it would be a crazy income because you just got to think each policy, even if it's small, like I always try to tell people like, even if it's a small policy, even if somebody's spending $100, that's $1200.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_00]: If you're connected with an agency like mine and you're,
- 42:35[SPEAKER_00]: your partner because I'm partner with a few people.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_00]: And so there where I, you know, I have them right where I'm at.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_00]: So because of that, that means that your commission's higher because obviously I'm in a different space.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_00]: So it gives you a bigger piece of the pot.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_00]: So even if I'm like, well, you get 25% of each person you send.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_00]: But.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_00]: 25% I'm getting one 30, so 25% is high, right.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_00]: That's high.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's somebody who got 20%, right?
- 43:02[SPEAKER_00]: So I may be able to offer a bigger piece of the pie, and it's still not hurt me, you know?
- 43:08[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, it's a great business to have, and even one of the things that I tell people that are in your position is like you also
- 43:24[SPEAKER_00]: So now all of the agents that come on to you, you make over, I don't all of them.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_00]: So not only do you get referrals from whatever your referral is, you get the down line.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_00]: So let's say in your down line, let's say you're at 100% and you put your down line people at 60.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_00]: You make 40% of every policy that they do.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_00]: So if they're out and they made 100,000 this year, that means you made 40,000, one person.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_02]: And it's crazy because now, I mean, just talking about AI now, just thinking about ways that I could actually automate that though too, right in a way where I create like a AI twin that gives out value about life insurance and building wealth, I'll do some type of mini chat or something like that to comment the words such and such and such and such.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_00]: See, these are the systems that I teach the agents and see your business owner and I find that people who are agents that come from being in business, they always do well because you understand business, you see how you just said, that's marketing.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_00]: That's the part that they miss and they come into the business, they want to sell policies with no marketing.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_00]: You must market, you just came up with a plan, that's one of the plans that I teach them.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_00]: Doing a webinar.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_00]: Why wouldn't I do a webinar teaching a topic for 30 minutes?
- 44:47[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody on his going to a business session.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_00]: they came because they were interested in the topic yeah majority of them are gonna sign up yeah my calendar's full yeah I used to do webinars once a quarter and I stopped because it was too many people wow wow yeah and eventually I was like you know what I'm gonna start doing it for my agents I give them the lead yeah right even that your lead you would give your agents to guarantee that they make money yeah
- 45:13[SPEAKER_00]: You're making the money with all this.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_00]: They're in your down line.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 45:16[SPEAKER_00]: And you actually get a big of a set doing that.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_00]: Because they're in your down line.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_00]: So it's a really good business.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_02]: I did the job.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you just joined that that five day challenge.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I'm thinking about.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_00]: Definitely needs to come through.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_00]: And I think, and I think just like how you label laid that out, that's what the agents need.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_00]: They need a plan that allows them to build organically.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_00]: That's it.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_00]: As long as they have that and they know the knowledge, that's the second part.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like the agents don't have the knowledge because they're not being taught, they're not taking the time.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think every agent should take 30 minutes a day.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_00]: and educate themselves on something new in insurance business.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_00]: If you don't do that, then how are we going to keep up to date with all the different things and be able to teach clients?
- 46:02[SPEAKER_00]: I've got to stay ahead of the game.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_02]: Now I love that.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_02]: So tap.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_02]: So what walk me through, right, because I want everybody who's listening to this right he now, whether you're a licensed life insurance agent, whether you're thinking about getting into the business, I want you to spend five days with Lindsey, walk me through what, like, what's the transformation?
- 46:22[SPEAKER_02]: What am I learning by spending five days?
- 46:25[SPEAKER_00]: That's so funny to say transformation.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_00]: So my five-day challenge is called the five-day transformation because people actually transform.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_00]: Like they come in one person one way, they shift.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_00]: They go through a shift.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_00]: By the end of the five-day, by the first day, they are already in the common sense shift, shift, right?
- 46:43[SPEAKER_00]: Because it is a transformation.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_00]: We first start the move with them understanding their credit.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_00]: right because if you're a business owner what do we need capital funding because we have to do what marketing so day one we hit in that day two we're getting into AI automation how to start building these organic Lee systems how to do data tracking how do I track my data so I know how to scale my insurance business
- 47:08[SPEAKER_00]: Right, day three, we get into a product mastery.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_00]: So I teach them everything about all the products that exist, right?
- 47:15[SPEAKER_00]: All of the types, the term, the whole life, the universal and all the variations of it, right?
- 47:20[SPEAKER_00]: Then we do case design within that.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_00]: The next day, we get into what's day four.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_00]: Day four is organically systems.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_00]: I teach them eight different systems that I use to build my business to seven fickens without buying any organic leads.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I'm sorry, without buying any paid lead coal leads, right?
- 47:39[SPEAKER_00]: So everything is built naturally and day five is annuities.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_00]: Because I feel like agents are not selling annuities.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_00]: The annuity game is crazy.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_02]: like, like, I'm doing this.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_02]: I'm doing this.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_02]: I need, I need to do this.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_00]: We like him in.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_00]: The winning team.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_02]: No, I want to do that because at the end of the day, like, it's a for money.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_02]: It's no good.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_02]: It's a company.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_02]: It's Disney.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think they let and go a 30 percent.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_00]: Like, all of these major corporations are letting go of 30%.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_00]: 40% of company do you know how much money is on the table?
