A stronghold doesn’t always look like rebellion. Sometimes it looks like a “reasonable” argument you’ve repeated for years, a private philosophy you never question, or a quiet habit of trusting created things more than the Creator. We open with a sober warning from Romans 1 about what happens when people refuse to retain God in their knowledge, and we pray that none of us is handed over to a mind that learns hard lessons through bondage.
