- 0:06Welcome to the Uto.
- 0:09Take a deep breath.
- 0:11Take the higher roles.
- 0:13What they always say.
- 0:14Let's say they know the way.
- 0:16They won't take it from me.
- 0:20Don't ever die yourself.
- 0:22It's lapping just a dream.
- 0:24You made your own so kick and scream.
- 0:27The people who laugh with a never-ending force.
- 0:31You never have the chance.
- 0:33So watch with calm my friend Goose.
- 0:44It's time to welcome back to Nurses Out Loud.
- 0:55I'm Nurse Tori, and you are listening to us on America Outloud.news.
- 0:59Today we have an exciting show.
- 1:01It's that time of year again.
- 1:03It's Black Friday.
- 1:04And the internet is screaming deals on every gadget that promises better sleep, tighter skin, faster recovery, and you know, eternal youth.
- 1:13You're gonna just, it's gonna turn the clock back for you.
- 1:16This is gonna be the thing that changes it all for you.
- 1:19And I get asked all the time, hey, are these things worth it?
- 1:22So we're gonna talk about that today.
- 1:24And I'm gonna give you options and how to include them in your routine and how I've used them personally and how I have also seen that these work really well for my clients.
- 1:34So let's get to it.
- 1:35I just want to let you guys know how much I love being here.
- 1:39I do one show a month for Nurses Out Loud.
- 1:42The rest of the time, you can follow me on social media at the Tori Jensen, but I love being a part of Nurses Out Loud, which is you can also find all the shows on America Out Loud.news uh because I just love being a part of all these nurses.
- 1:56And I know a lot of you listening are nurses.
- 2:00And a lot of you who aren't are listening because you trust nurses and you trust that you are going to get solid information from a trusted source that we have done our due diligence and we are not bought and paid for by anyone because of your viewership and because the way you support us, uh, we are able to keep nurses out loud uncensored, and it's fantastic.
- 2:26I don't want to be a part of anything that is censored.
- 2:30I stopped censoring myself officially the day that I was escorted out of the hospital during COVID for not getting vaccinated.
- 2:38Some of you who know me and been following me have seen my journey since then.
- 2:43Um, my background is I'm a registered dietitian, turned registered nurse, worked in the hospital setting for 10 years, and then refused to get the COVID vaccine.
- 2:52My exemption, my religious exemption was denied.
- 2:55And while I was on shift working as a nurse in a COVID unit, uh, I was escorted out of the hospital by security after 10 hours of asking to speak with the person who made the judgment about my religious beliefs.
- 3:10So that's who I am.
- 3:12The people who want us to be censored are the ones who fear the truth, right?
- 3:19Fear what fear what the truth brings.
- 3:22Um, in communist countries or tyrannical regimes, the first people who they go after are the Christians because we are willing to answer to someone bigger than ourselves and a bigger purpose, knowing that this life here on earth is temporal.
- 3:40And so we can do the right thing every time because we know we know that doesn't matter.
- 3:46We know God's gonna provide, he's gonna take care of us, and he's a plan for us.
- 3:48And so if you're listening today, I just wanted to give you a little bit of that encouragement, kind of my background.
- 3:54Um, and after I left the hospital, I started a business because I went to work for uh a clinic, and I thought I I have more I want to say.
- 4:04I have more I want to do.
- 4:05I want to impact people, specifically women and give them the encouragement to go out and take care of their bodies the way God intended us to.
- 4:14So since it's Black Friday, I know that your inbox has been inundated with things like mine has.
- 4:22My inbox has been inundated probably since Halloween.
- 4:25I think my first Black Friday email popped up sometime around October, and I thought, well, this is early.
- 4:34I do appreciate the spoon feeding that they give me though in my text messages when I say they say, Oh, here you go.
- 4:41It's 30% off.
- 4:42I'm like, that's effective marketing.
- 4:44If if you text me, I will click on it.
- 4:46If you email me, probably not.
- 4:48Um, but I have been getting all these emails.
- 4:51And the one thing that I love sharing with you guys on social media is it I love answering all of your questions.
- 4:57And at Black Friday, you're being inundated with tons of questions about the next health and wellness device or shortcut or shiny object that we need to get for this Black Friday.
- 5:11And guess what?
- 5:12For a limited time only through this Friday, through Cyber Monday, it's this, it's 30% off.
- 5:18Get it now, right?
- 5:19I think they make, I think they said they make so many sales.
- 5:22Businesses make the majority of their sales over Black Friday and through the holiday time, like to make up for a lot of the year.
- 5:30So it's pretty pretty effective marketing, but some of the, I know that you're looking at some of these gadgets and thinking, do these things actually work?
- 5:38And so, as a registered dietitian, registered nurse, someone who's coached woman in weight loss and hormone balance for years, and just generally health and wellness.
- 5:48I'm gonna talk to you about the answer your questions and talk to you about the the actual things I think you should invest in, the things that are worth your time.
- 5:58Okay, what are those things?
- 6:00Um, and I don't know if you can relate to this, but I talk to friends frequently and they say, Oh, yeah, I have a dry brush.
- 6:09I I just never use it.
- 6:11Or I have a red light.
- 6:13I just I don't, I don't know how to use it.
- 6:15I can't find time for it.
- 6:17Or I have a sauna.
- 6:19I just really don't get in there.
- 6:21I have a home gym.
- 6:22I just don't, you know, you feel you get the point.
- 6:25And I think a lot of us have these things as expensive, amazing health and wellness tools sitting in our house, and we're just not using them.
- 6:34So I'm gonna talk to you too about how to incorporate these little things into your day.
- 6:40So you actually have the benefit of them.
- 6:42I mean, I can't stand walking by some super expensive thing that I bought.
- 6:49For example, the red light that is that I have on currently as my background.
- 6:54Uh I can't stand walking by that stuff and going, oh, it's just mocking me.
- 6:58I'm not using it, makes me feel guilty, makes me feel lazy, unorganized, and we don't want to feel like that.
- 7:05We have enough things in our life that are telling us we're not good enough.
- 7:10We have enough things that are telling us that we aren't doing what we're supposed to be doing, that we should be doing more.
- 7:16So we don't want these shiny objects to have that impact on us when we walk by them.
- 7:21Uh, I had a client one time who had her treadmill in her living room, and we were talking.
- 7:27I said, Well, do you use your treadmill?
- 7:29And she said, no.
- 7:30And I get so, I have so much anxiety and guilt every time I walk by it.
- 7:34I was like, get that thing out of there tonight.
- 7:37Get your husband, get him over here.
- 7:39We are moving that treadmill into the basement.
- 7:41She said, Yeah, but then, but then, you know, I won't ever use it.
- 7:45And I said, okay, are you using it now?
- 7:48She said, no.
- 7:51Okay.
- 7:52So you're not using it, and it's mocking you.
- 7:55Get that thing out of here, right?
- 7:56I mean, we are so over things like that.
- 7:59And uh, so she actually said that her anxiety level was dramatically reduced just by moving the treadmill into the basement, and she used it.
- 8:09She used it.
- 8:10Why?
- 8:10Not because it was top of mind because she wasn't walking by it every day.
- 8:14She used it because we figured out how to make that fit into her day.
- 8:20We have we found a place for her to use her treadmill that made sense to her and something that she enjoyed.
- 8:28And it actually, then she started using her treadmill.
- 8:30Like amazing, right?
- 8:32And this is so good.
- 8:33This is good news for all of you who are thinking, there's no way.
- 8:36I've had that walking vest in my garage.
- 8:39And every time I go walk my dog, I look at it and it looks back at me.
- 8:44And then I don't use it.
- 8:46And uh, so we're gonna talk about that.
- 8:48Why don't why don't you use these things?
- 8:50What's going on?
- 8:51Well, I might I'm very confident that the reason that the majority of you aren't using these fancy things you have is you haven't figured out how it works, how it fits in your day, and you actually don't know the benefits of it.
- 9:05So we're gonna talk about the benefits of some of my favorite things.
- 9:08And these things, I will just straight up tell you.
- 9:10If I don't, if these are things that I don't use or I can't speak to, I'll just straight up tell you.
- 9:15The ones that I know and love.
- 9:17Oh, I'm you're gonna want to buy them after this.
- 9:20I do have affiliate links for them, and it'll be in the show notes.
- 9:23Feel free to shop around.
- 9:24These are just ones that I love.
- 9:26If I'm gonna be talking about a product, I always use it first.
- 9:30And then I want to share it with you guys.
- 9:32And when you do purchase through affiliate links, or if you go to Nurses Out Loud and you go to uh nurses out loud.com.
- 9:40We have uh a link there for all of our favorite things.
- 9:44We also have that in our sub stack.
- 9:46It just helps us give you more uncensored content.
- 9:49You know, it's it's allows us to be out here creating content that you guys can trust without knowing that we aren't being bought and paid for by these big sponsors who are just telling you to.
- 10:00Buy all their stuff, right?
- 10:01We don't want to do that.
- 10:01We want to be different.
- 10:02We want to be somebody that you guys can trust.
- 10:05The nursing profession is the most trusted profession.
- 10:09We want to continue that in that spirit.
- 10:12And it's just like being with you here is literally the joy of my month to be able to share and to encourage you guys to do the small things that are actually going to make a difference.
- 10:24Health and wellness is my favorite thing ever.
- 10:27My background, actually, before I became a nurse, you'll see uh you might see the little the little letters after my name, BSN, RN, R D.
- 10:36So I'm a registered dietitian.
- 10:37And that's where I learned the majority of my health and wellness where I became, I love my love for health and wellness.
- 10:43Actually, where I really learned my my love for health and wellness was as an athlete, just realizing if I do the small things consistently and I do the small things well, like nutrition, fuel my body appropriately, uh stretching, which oh, I still can't stand stretching or flossing.
- 11:00I do them because I know I'm supposed to, but I don't enjoy it.
- 11:03That's okay.
- 11:04And we're gonna talk about that too.
- 11:06Um, I I just as an athlete, I realized, whoa, certain things really make a difference when I drink enough water.
- 11:12Gosh, I perform better when I feel appropriately, I perform better, I recover faster.
- 11:18And I didn't have any of these gadgets when I was a young athlete.
- 11:23And now that I'm an old athlete, I actually think I feel better than I did when I was in my 20s.
- 11:28Well, it also helps that I'm not drinking or staying out late or eating an entire pizza to myself like after midnight.
- 11:33That those things are also beneficial.
- 11:35But the the technology that we have right now to help ourselves is fantastic.
- 11:42Okay, I also want to say something else.
- 11:44All right.
- 11:46Did your ancestors have any of these gadgets?
- 11:50No.
- 11:51Not even ancestors.
- 11:52I mean, I'm just talking about myself 20 years ago.
- 11:55I didn't have any of these gadgets.
- 11:58And we were doing okay, right?
- 12:00I think we were healthier 20 years ago, 50 years ago than we are now, meaning that we didn't have so much chronic disease.
- 12:07Uh, we didn't have uh, we weren't on so many medications, the cancer rates were down, uh, obesity was down, uh, cardiac risk, all those things were it was all lower.
- 12:18And we didn't have any of these gadgets.
- 12:20So, what gives?
- 12:21What gives?
- 12:22I want you to kind of flip your mindset on this too to think about we don't have to have these gadgets.
- 12:29What we're these gadgets are helping us to live in a modern toxic world, essentially.
- 12:34They're helping us mitigate the problems from our modern toxic world.
- 12:38And I'm talking about like uh the fluorescent lights we have in our houses, the Wi-Fi, the constant 5G, our phones that are connected to us, like little magnets, um, our nutrition and the processed food that we're consuming.
- 12:55So it's not like we need our ancestors, didn't need all these things because they were living a much different life than we live.
- 13:02They were not living disconnected from the earth like we are.
- 13:05Um, so unfortunately, we have to go take extreme measures, I would say, to make to falsify or to create this natural environment that we just don't live in anymore.
- 13:22We live inside, and we really should be living outside, living in community, eating more real food, less processed food.
- 13:28And so I want you to think about that as you go through this because I'm gonna make a case for these gadgets for you to try them, but I also want you to think I'm also going to explain to you how you can get benefits, similar benefits without having all these gadgets.
- 13:45But it takes more intention.
- 13:46It's actually harder because you have to change your what you're doing.
- 13:50You can't continue to live this modern toxic lifestyle and expect to get different results.
- 13:55You have to actually make some changes.
- 13:58So it can be easier than you think.
- 14:00It really can be easier than you think.
- 14:02A lot of you are not using the gadgets that you have, or you're not consistent with your routines because I would say the majority of you don't know what's gonna move the needle for you.
- 14:15When I talk to clients and I hear from you on social media, you're confused.
- 14:20You have too much information coming at you, and you don't even know where to start.
- 14:25You're like, I don't even know.
- 14:26This person tells me I should eat only meat.
- 14:29This person tells me I should only eat vegetables.
- 14:31What do I do?
- 14:33You have to, I what my client Reese most recently said, I feel like I have to have a nutrition PhD in order to eat these days.
- 14:42And it kind of feels like that.
- 14:44And what I help people do is to get through all that noise and to simplify it.
- 14:49And I'm just gonna tell you, you guys, if the more you get back to doing the simple things you were created for, the better your body's gonna work for you and the better you're gonna feel.
- 15:00Okay.
- 15:00So when I talk to my clients about building a foundation, I'm just gonna give you the analogy that I use.
- 15:08Imagine that your body is a car, okay, and you have the car has four wheels.
- 15:13And one of those is wheels is nutrition, one of them is movement, one of them is sleep, and the other one is stress management.
- 15:22But the car doesn't go anywhere, right?
- 15:25Without a driver.
- 15:26And the driver is your mindset.
- 15:28So the way that you approach all of these things and the way that you approach taking care of your body and incorporating uh these healthy practices into your life and the way that you talk to yourself and the music you listen to and the TV shows you watch, and mostly though, the way you talk to yourself and the lay the way you let other people talk to you.
- 15:48That is gonna determine where your car goes.
- 15:50That's gonna determine how well you're doing.
- 15:52If your mindset is off, you're not going anywhere.
- 15:55You're pulled over on the side of the road.
- 15:57You could have, you know, all these tires blown up.
- 16:00You could be crushing your stress and crust, well, usually when your mind sets off, your stress is pretty high.
- 16:05That those two things go together.
- 16:07But you could be like going to the gym and eating all the right things and sleeping at night and have all the um, and you know, be doing all of the things you're supposed to be doing, but your mindset is off.
- 16:17And so maybe you're not doing these consistently, or you're just letting uh the toxic negativity of whatever it is or trauma from your past or just not knowing uh how to have uh a neutral mindset when it comes to yourself so you can actually get good consistent results.
- 16:37You don't know how to do that.
- 16:38You are still relying on motivation, which wanes.
- 16:41So you can have like a great January, right?
- 16:43We're coming up on January.
- 16:45Everyone's got a great January.
- 16:47Talk to me in February when you've stopped using all the gadgets that you got for Black Friday and your uh 30-day fix thing is over, right?
- 16:56Talk to me then, talk to me then, and we'll talk about your mindset and mindset.
- 17:01That's why mindset is so powerful and so important.
- 17:03And you can't replace it.
- 17:0595% of what I do in my coaching business is mindset.
- 17:09And you think, wait, what?
- 17:11Your weight loss uh dietitian, nurse, and you're a coach, and I'm like, well, nutrition is your thing.
- 17:18Yes, but I can teach you nutrition in like 10 minutes, really.
- 17:22I can teach you nutrition in 10 minutes.
- 17:23You guys just got some of my nuggets here.
- 17:26But when it comes to applying these principles and getting rid, getting out of your own way and getting into how do I eat a piece of cake and not four pieces of cake?
- 17:40How do I include protein at my meals?
- 17:43And even when I don't feel like eating protein.
- 17:45How do I eat vegetables, include vegetables and fiber into my diet when I've never included, never had them because I haven't eaten them since I was a kid.
- 17:54Like, how do I do this, right?
- 17:55How do we do this repeatably?
- 17:57Well, we have to make it simple for you.
- 17:59So let's take my first gadget.
- 18:03I know you've been waiting for me.
- 18:05I'm gonna call a gadgets, like not the right word for it because they're not all gadgets, but let's take the first uh the first thing question I had.
- 18:13You have been seeing all these people on social media with red light blaring, you know, glowing on them.
- 18:21And it makes your videos really weird and your pictures really weird, by the way.
- 18:25Uh, I have a red light in my background right now.
- 18:27It looks a little like a horror movie-ish, but um, it's very on brand for what we're talking about today.
- 18:34So I just thought I thought this would be fun to do.
- 18:37Uh, but it definitely distorts your your color.
- 18:40But red light is something that I use daily, daily.
- 18:45Okay.
- 18:45Now, do I am I perfect at using it?
- 18:48No.
- 18:48No, no, no, I'm not perfect at using it.
- 18:50But here is how I decide.
- 18:52Here's how I figured out that I could get my red light in every day.
- 18:55Okay.
- 18:56Uh I did something called habit stacking.
- 18:59And you've probably read atomic habits or heard about habit stacking, but really you take something you're already doing and you attach it, you attach this little tiny habit.
- 19:09That's another book that I love by BJ Fogg, Tiny Habits.
- 19:11I actually love that one more than atomic habits.
- 19:14I think it's probably it's a little more process focused.
- 19:16Anyway, if you're looking at for a habit book, both of those are very good.
- 19:21But you attach it to something you already do.
- 19:25So I already come in my office and do Bible study in the morning.
- 19:30So what I did was I set up my red light to be very easy to set up on my desk.
- 19:35So I listen to my Bible study and I have the red light shining on me.
- 19:40And I do my deep breathing at the same time.
- 19:43And of course, I'm drinking my coffee before breakfast.
- 19:47Don't recommend, but I yes, I do it.
- 19:49Okay.
- 19:50Uh, and that's where, and that's where I'm habit stacking some things, like some stress management.
- 19:56I am getting in the word of God, which has there's no substance.
- 20:00For that to fix the way that your perspective is in the morning going forward.
- 20:04Okay.
- 20:05And then I have my red light.
- 20:06And so the red light is actually not as stimulating as blue light.
- 20:11We'll get more into that.
- 20:12But there's different spectrums of light in my particular red lights called mito red light.
- 20:18There's a bunch of them out there.
- 20:20They're all on Black Friday sale.
- 20:22I will have my link for this one.
- 20:24The clinical research on this one is really great.
- 20:26And they have if I was going to do this again, I would get a smaller one.
- 20:30I have a bigger one.
- 20:31They didn't have the little travel size.
- 20:33That's on my uh Christmas wish list to anyone who's listening who wants to buy me something.
- 20:38Just kidding.
- 20:40The smaller one, though, because when I travel, it helps to, when you travel, the red light helps to sync your circadian rhythm to the day and the nighttime.
- 20:50And that will help dramatically with jet lag, and it also really helps with your hormone balance.
- 20:55So the best type of light to get in the morning is actually not red light.
- 20:59It is blue light, full spectrum and helps you wake up.
- 21:02It's the sunlight.
- 21:03It's going outside, putting your feet in the grass, letting the sunrise hit your eyeballs.
- 21:09So, but I kind of get that done when I go take my dog for the walk for so here, or to I take my dog.
- 21:14So I'm giving you some insight into how that's stacking, right?
- 21:17So I wake up in the morning.
- 21:19I have these things that I want to get done.
- 21:21They're called my non-negotiables.
- 21:23And this is what I talk to my clients about.
- 21:24My not they're my non-negotiables.
- 21:26They don't always get done in the same order because I have a kid will wake up or my husband's home.
- 21:32He, you know, when he's at work, I have a different routine.
- 21:34He takes the dog.
- 21:35But when I'm home, I take the dog and I go without sunglasses.
- 21:39I go right across the street.
- 21:40Now in the summertime, I take my shoes off and I go barefoot and I step in the grass and I throw that ball.
- 21:47So I am earthing, connecting to the ground, and I'm also getting this full spectrum light in my eyes.
- 21:52It's fantastic.
- 21:53And I'm doing some deep breathing.
- 21:55I'm looking at the sunrise.
- 21:58I'm looking at the clouds.
- 21:59I'm looking at my happy dog.
- 22:01I'm praying.
- 22:02It's just a great way to start your day.
- 22:04And our ancestors started their day in a very similar way.
- 22:06So I come back in.
- 22:08I still have my cup of coffee.
- 22:10And I like the red light therapy because you it helps with not only my mood, big time helps with my mood.
- 22:19Uh, it's also penetrating deep to your mitochondria.
- 22:22So it helps to give you the energy.
- 22:25It helps your cells work younger.
- 22:27They help they function better.
- 22:29Okay.
- 22:29It's like an oversimplified way of saying it, but it also helps collagen production.
- 22:33And you need to do it on a clean face.
- 22:35So I'm, it's like a twofer.
- 22:37I'm getting this light in my eyes.
- 22:39It's helping me with uh my hormone balance, but I'm also uh it's also helping me to wake up and I'm also getting the beauty benefits of it directly in my face.
- 22:50You know, people have the masks, the red light masks.
- 22:53I find the red light at night as a mask too stimulating for me.
- 22:57Uh when I have the light, I've I don't have the mask.
- 23:00I but I've done the light very close to my face at nighttime because red light is really important for or very powerful anyway, for um, very powerful to uh to help you calm down.
- 23:15So red light therapy at night is great for you know, for that.
- 23:19It says that as a window, and also the the mask is good for the beauty benefits of that.
- 23:26Really helps with fine lines and wrinkles, collagen production.
- 23:29I just can't say enough about it, but I don't it I don't like it at night as much.
- 23:34So I'll have it on in a background room like this.
- 23:37Often at nighttime, I'm on my mat.
- 23:39I get on a prana mat.
- 23:42It is acupressure mat, and it's like a it's like you're laying on a thousand needles all at one time.
- 23:49And it sounds like a little brutal, but it's amazing to help stimulate.
- 23:54Um that's that, you know, that's my next thing I was talking to you guys about to help stimulate decrease stress and pain management.
- 24:00I have a herniated disc in my neck.
- 24:02Fortunately, I have very little pain from that, but I have scoliosis as well.
- 24:06And so after a long day being at the computer or lifting something heavy or just whatever it is, I lay on that prana mat and I have the red light going in the background, and it I tell you it put a little spa music on.
- 24:18Oh, oh my goodness.
- 24:20Put some more Bible, listen, you know, listen to my Bible again.
- 24:24It's fantastic.
- 24:25It's like the best thing ever.
- 24:26So I highly recommend again habit stacking, and just do it 10 minutes.
- 24:30You might think, oh, I don't have time for that.
- 24:31You do.
- 24:32You have to make time for these things.
- 24:34Um, so I come back in, I do my red light because it's a clean face.
- 24:38That's where you get the most benefits.
- 24:40Then, okay, here's my gonna tell you my other favorite thing.
- 24:44So I lead right into my zip halo.
- 24:48So this is a microcurrent device.
- 24:50It is an at-home microcrome device that is also has nanocurrent in it as well.
- 24:55These are the microcurrent, is what you will actually see move the muscles in your face, kind of like a tens unit.
- 25:01Uh, if you go to the physical therapist and they put some like a little electrodes on your muscles and it makes them twitch.
- 25:07This is what the microcurrent is doing in the zip halo.
- 25:11And that's gonna give you immediate results on your face because you've got like 40 muscles in your face.
- 25:17And as we age, what happens?
- 25:19These muscles tighten, they get shorter, they start to pull, right?
- 25:22In all the wrong directions, they start to pull away from their attachment sites.
- 25:26So when you use these microcurrent device, it actually strengthens these muscle attachments.
- 25:31And all of a sudden, I now look, you know, 10 years younger.
- 25:35Uh, not to mention I'm not again not drinking, drinking plenty of water, I'm not staying out late.
- 25:40I balance my blood sugar.
- 25:42Um, I am doing red light, I'm earthing, I'm managing my stress, all these things are really particularly the blue light, the the um blood blood sugar balancing set.
- 25:53That's really, really, really gonna help you with your skin because if you have uh unbalanced blood sugar, which majority of us do because you don't even know it, you could be a thin person and still have unbalanced blood sugar.
- 26:04This is we're talking like crazy cravings and um uh energy level, poor energy levels, weight gain, hormone imbalances.
- 26:15When you balance your blood sugar, you're you're helping support your skin because these things called um uh oh gosh, I'm now I'm blanking on it.
- 26:25Glycolated end products, I believe is the name.
- 26:27That's uh essentially the byproducts of a breakdown from your uh in your skin from having high blood blood sugar.
- 26:35It's not good, not good at all.
- 26:37So if you're not including nutrition as part of your beauty routine, you're kind of missing the whole thing.
- 26:43Um, but this let me go back to the zip halo really quick.
- 26:45So it does the microcurrent, which is immediate results, and then the nanocurrent.
- 26:50These are like the long-lasting results you get for uh they stimulate collagen regeneration.
- 26:56You guys, it is most amazing thing ever.
- 26:59So that's my quick little morning routine, all tied up with a bow with my red light, my deep breathing, my microcurrent device.
- 27:08I also sometimes lay on my prana mat in the morning if I wake up and with like a kink in my neck.
- 27:13I then go, I will, you know, then put my makeup on and I'm off for the day.
- 27:18When we come back from break, I'm gonna talk about the other things that I'm like totally sold on.
- 27:24There, there are things that you absolutely should include in your routine.
- 27:29And um, I'm just excited to share all these with you.

- 30:00Welcome back to the show.
- 30:01I'm Nurse Tori.
- 30:02And today we are doing the Black Friday QA where I answer all your questions about all those Black Friday gadgets.
- 30:10Are they actually worth your time, your money, your your effort, and your attention?
- 30:16Just a quick recap from previously.
- 30:19I talked about red light and I talked about prana mat and my zip halo.
- 30:26All of these things I use religiously and I believe in them so much.
- 30:31So if you're even thinking about them for a red light, everyone needs one.
- 30:35Every household needs one for inflammation, for mood, for when you have those injuries.
- 30:40I busted my ankle last year and put that on there a couple times a day.
- 30:45Um helps with sleep.
- 30:48And also my favorite, it helps with collagen production.
- 30:51So I use it on my face every morning.
- 30:54It's without me makeup and it's probably the most invaluable tool that I have for health and wellness.
- 31:01So definitely pick one up.
- 31:02I have a discount code if you're interested.
- 31:04There's a ton of Black Friday sales going on.
- 31:07So check those out.
- 31:08Um if you don't have one, they are worth it.
- 31:10They are worth it, but make sure you get a reputable brand.
- 31:13The Prana Mat, just a quick recap on that.
- 31:16Oh, I also wanted to say, because I haven't, I I intended to, but of course I go squirrel and I like talk about a million things.
- 31:24I want to, I want to talk to you guys about what are your options if you don't want to, if you don't want to purchase these things, how can you simulate the benefits of that in other ways?
- 31:34With the red light, I don't really know.
- 31:37I I really don't know.
- 31:38I mean, I would say in terms of getting outside, that's the most powerful thing you can do because more sunlight is not actually gonna sound bad for you.
- 31:46It's actually meant to power, supercharge your your cells.
- 31:51So get out there without sunglasses on.
- 31:53Okay.
- 31:53Now the prana mat, again, the prana mat is this acupressure.
- 31:58If you've you've probably seen them, they're always like really trendy looking girls in yoga clothes.
- 32:03And they're laying on this little mat that looks like it has these little beautiful lotus flowers on it.
- 32:12These lotus flowers are sharp as needles.
- 32:16They don't actually puncture the skin unless you are standing on them with one toe.
- 32:21I think if you're standing on it full body weight, one toe, you probably could puncture your skin.
- 32:25Um, but when your body is laid out over that surface, evenly uh laid out, you it displaces the surface area and you get a nice deep acupressure.
- 32:35If you have pain, you do not want to skip this.
- 32:38I have crushing pain back pain and neck pain since I was in high school uh when my scoliosis got worse and my activity, and then I lifted a heavy box the wrong way a couple of years back and I uh have a her needed disc in my neck.
- 32:53I have zero pain most of the time.
- 32:55But if I do the wrong kind of movement, you know, I'm getting to the age where if I look over my shoulder wrong in the car, there goes my neck.
- 33:04And I have processes in place where I really mitigate this.
- 33:07I weight lift and I walk and I uh manage my blood sugar to keep my inflammation down.
- 33:14But the end of the day, sometimes just the way that my I'm built, uh, things are just not quite in the right place.
- 33:21And prana mat gets me out of that pain zone.
- 33:23My husband will look at me sometimes at the end of the day, and I don't even recognize it all the time because I lived so many years with just kind of a chronic like nagging pain level, like a low level pain level.
- 33:35I don't didn't realize how tired that made me all the time, how grumpy I felt, how short tempered I felt sometimes just from that low level ache.
- 33:44When I lay on the prana mat, it goes away.
- 33:47I wake up, the endorphins are flowing.
- 33:50I have release from that pressure in my neck in my back.
- 33:53I cannot say enough things.
- 33:55My sister-in-law uses it daily.
- 33:57She puts it on her hip.
- 34:00She lays on it on her side.
- 34:02I haven't quite gotten to that level.
- 34:03I think she's advanced because I can't stand it.
- 34:06That it just tickles too much.
- 34:08It like tickles and hurts all at the same time.
- 34:10Um, I will put my feet on it when I'm watching TV, and that just gives a light acupressure.
- 34:15I do stand on it sometimes full weight.
- 34:18It's a just another thing.
- 34:19You have to like be ready for that.
- 34:21Um, but again, worth every penny, especially if you have pain.
- 34:25Okay, zip halo.
- 34:27It is the, it is not cheap, but I have a discount code for you.
- 34:30And for Black Friday, it is I think I think it's like $80 off, maybe.
- 34:36I mean, it's it's it's a significant discount.
- 34:39And this is the number one thing I use on my face religiously so that I can work out the muscles in my face just as I work out the muscles in my body.
- 34:49So when you take, you know, Botox, if you uh, if you use Botox, the way that that works is it relaxes the muscle because it's a paralytic, it paralyzes the muscle.
- 34:59So you when you work out your muscle and you start, you know, exercising them, they can actually relax.
- 35:07And so that's what this does as well.
- 35:09It works out those muscles at the attachment area.
- 35:12And there's really easy videos that take you through how to do it.
- 35:15And I have noticed a significant difference in my skin.
- 35:18And I, of course, use that in combination with red light and with nutrition and uh I do oil washing.
- 35:25I don't strip my face, but I don't use any Botox or filler.
- 35:28I think my face looks, I think I look younger than I did maybe five years ago.
- 35:32Might have something to do with I had little kids back then as well.
- 35:35But um, I often get asked, like, what did you do to your face?
- 35:41And then I do all the facial movements and show everyone, well, it's I can still move all the things.
- 35:46I just am using these tools strategically.
- 35:49My husband, I have to say too, he said, because oh, let me give you a little backstory on this.
- 35:55When I first got fired from the hospital, I worked for a med spa, like right after.
- 36:00And going from working in the hospital and making really good money to working in the med spa and making really terrible money as a nurse, but they were like, well, you can get discounts on things.
- 36:10So, like I want to say the first couple of weeks I worked there, I went to a free training.
- 36:15So some girl training on how to do lip filler.
- 36:19I got it for free, but I look, it looked like I got punched in the mouth.
- 36:22It wasn't even, she didn't do a good job.
- 36:25That's yeah, you get stuff for free.
- 36:28That's what you get.
- 36:29So I'm over there and my my family made fun of me.
- 36:32Like I have my family is ruthless.
- 36:34Like, no, good thing I'm not sensitive.
- 36:37I'm my girls are not growing up to be sensitive either.
- 36:40My husband made so much fun of me for getting lip filler that I was like, I'm never gonna do this again.
- 36:48So I get my zip halo, and one of the treatments on there is a is a lip plumper.
- 36:54Because they what the way it works is you you go on their app.
- 36:57It's really easy to use.
- 36:59I have so many girlfriends that have them.
- 37:00They're like, wow, this is really easy to use.
- 37:02And they take you through a video.
- 37:04And again, you just have to find the time that works for you.
- 37:07I used to do it at night, but now I do it during the day because I'm like, I'm getting all the benefits of being lifted and plumped during the day or at nighttime, like nobody sees me.
- 37:18So I started working it into my process to do it before I put my makeup on.
- 37:22So then I have the benefit of looking lifted in all the right places for the rest of my day.
- 37:28And you know, that's the short term and the long term because it has the microcurrent and the nanocurrent.
- 37:32Okay.
- 37:33So my husband, he looked at me and he goes, Did you get lip filler?
- 37:37And this is after I had been using this probably eight weeks because it does take some time.
- 37:42It takes some time for all the benefits to kick in.
- 37:44And I said, No, but thank you.
- 37:48Just like, have you been doing something to make yourself look a little younger?
- 37:53I mean, I have I spent so much time in the sun, you guys.
- 37:55I played soccer in college.
- 37:56So I, and I have I'm of the red hair variety.
- 37:59I mean, I'm not at redhead, both my daughters are.
- 38:01I, although in my older age, I went back to my natural color.
- 38:05It looks kind of red.
- 38:07I have had so much sun, and my body is just not, you know, I just can't handle that much sun.
- 38:15So I've got these like really wrinkly little lips and this zip halo has changed my face.
- 38:21So I will just say worth worth it, worth the investment.
- 38:25Something I do at night that's much more affordable.
- 38:28Um, oh, let me jump back to this too.
- 38:31I have no other replacement for the prana mat instead of like that's a cheaper option.
- 38:35Maybe breaking glass and walking over it.
- 38:37That's that's the only thing.
- 38:38It's it's pricey, but again, worth it.
- 38:41I use it a lot.
- 38:42Um the zip halo, there are cheaper options, not quite as effective, but I will say the gua shaw, excellent.
- 38:51Does kind of the same thing, but just doesn't have the nanocurrent and the microcurrent, right?
- 38:55So you're massaging these muscles, preparing them, allowing them to relax and working them out a little bit.
- 39:01And then the other tool that I really like, it takes a little bit of dexterity to use it a little more than the gua shaw, are the suction cups, and I'm not calling that's not what they're called.
- 39:13They're they're they look like suction cups though for your face.
- 39:17My daughter loves it because it's so relaxing.
- 39:20And so we'll do that at night while we're watching TV.
- 39:22I'll put some oil on my face, and you know, and gotta get it slippery enough to do the gua shaw or do the the suction cups on my face, or I will do them when I'm in the sauna.
- 39:34So that one's kind of like a that's a whenever it works, but I will prepare my muscles.
- 39:39I'll do that.
- 39:40And then I do uh face taping.
- 39:43Face taping is if you imagine Kinesio tape or K tape that you see all the athletes, you know, they've got this like brightly colored tape on their shoulder or their knee.
- 39:52The same principle applies to face tape.
- 39:55It's just much more gentle tape that you use.
- 39:59I interviewed a
- 40:00Girl not too long ago, her name's Catherine Romain, and she's on social media.
- 40:05She's excellent.
- 40:06It's, I think it's Catherine underscore underscore Romain.
- 40:09And she's the one that introduced me to face taping.
- 40:11Very affordable, very cheap.
- 40:13So again, another better option if you are looking for for a more affordable option.
- 40:18Now, sauna, I have a sauna, and we bought it off some model down in down in San Diego who had a cold plunge that we didn't really like.
- 40:30It didn't, we didn't like the setup of his cold plunge in a sauna.
- 40:33And he had an apartment and he had this cold plunge in his garage and he has the sauna in his bedroom.
- 40:40And I'm like, and he's like ridiculously good looking.
- 40:43I'm my husband looked at me because I think my husband was taken aback by how good looking this man was.
- 40:49And you know, it's just wow.
- 40:51So he got this sauna from him and it's plug-in.
- 40:54It just plugged into our regular, it's a near infrared sauna.
- 40:57What I will say about sauna is again worth every penny because what is your what is your main way of your body detoxing is through sweating.
- 41:07If you're not exercising, if you're not drinking enough water, if you're not eating fruits and vegetables or fiber, rather, you're not giving your body the tools it needs to get rid of all the toxic stuff we're exposed to.
- 41:20So I am gonna have a guy on in the in the next you know few months.
- 41:24His name is Clark Engelbert.
- 41:26He is an expert in hair tissue mineral analysis.
- 41:29I have been doing a heavy metal detox, which is worth again, worth every penny, has not been easy, is not for the faint of heart, but I am so full of heavy metals from all my years of being vaccinated as a healthcare worker.
- 41:43And then prior to that, as a kid, I had asthma, so I got vaccinated every year.
- 41:47Just staying up on on all the things, plus just being exposed to random stuff you don't think about, like uh aluminum cans, drinking out, gosh, I would have, you know, how many of those sparkling waters have I had over the years?
- 41:59I used to cook with foil.
- 42:01We're exposed to toxic heavy metals, not to scare you, but to encourage you to say, gosh, if I'm doing all these things right and I still have dysfunction in my body, what's going on?
- 42:12You probably have a toxic heavy metal burden because we all do, just living in the environment we do.
- 42:18And the best way to get rid of that is mineral balancing.
- 42:21So stay tuned for that.
- 42:23Uh the other thing I was gonna talk to you guys about with sauna is the difference between just a regular sauna, which is just heat, and then a near infrared sauna.
- 42:33So the near infrared is what I have.
- 42:35I like it much more because you get the same benefit.
- 42:37And actually, I think, you know, there's different research on both.
- 42:41The the near infrared's newer.
- 42:43Regular sauna has been around for thousands of years.
- 42:46Uh, I think.
- 42:47I mean, I don't know when the first sauna was built.
- 42:49But I'm thinking that I just picture the Vikings and doing some type of sauna thing.
- 42:54So that's not researched.
- 42:57That's just me talking and watching Viking shows.
- 43:00Uh, but the near infrared one, you doesn't have to get as hot.
- 43:03So you don't, I I tolerate it much better.
- 43:06But you get just as good a benefits.
- 43:08The near infrared penetrates deep into the tissues, providing the healing properties.
- 43:13So it helps with decrease inflammation.
- 43:15I I use my sauna after a workout to help increase muscle growth.
- 43:21The uh the bet the thing for the sauna too is it really opens up the sweating, those pathways, but you're but you have to be careful how you use it and you have to know yourself.
- 43:32So a lot of my clients use sauna and they'll say they're constipated.
- 43:37They say they have headaches, they say they're fatigued, low energy.
- 43:40And I cannot tell you how many times I had a conversation with someone who was not replacing electrolytes after sauna.
- 43:48It's a big, it's a big problem, especially if you're using it consistently.
- 43:52And everyone is a different, has a different reaction to this.
- 43:55So your friend might not need as many electrolytes as you do.
- 43:59And so you kind of have to play around with it.
- 44:01I sweat like crazy, and I am losing salt like crazy and potassium.
- 44:07So if I am not replacing both of those very strategically, I can feel terrible for days if I don't catch up to if I'm behind the eight ball because I'm exercising and I'm doing sauna on top of that.
- 44:20And I think I just happen to be a little sensitive as well.
- 44:23So you definitely want to know yourself.
- 44:25I had a gal who a weight loss client of mine who was had a lot going on, had very difficult time losing weight, a very stressful environment that she was living in.
- 44:37She was saunning, she's just, you know, quote unquote doing all the right things, saunning every day.
- 44:42She was exercising every day and very constipated, terrible headaches, migraines, and uh fatigue and just felt off.
- 44:55And I'm like, are you are you replacing your electrolytes?
- 45:00And she wasn't.
- 45:01She was chronically dehydrated.
- 45:03Now, luckily her kidney function didn't suffer.
- 45:06But when you're dehydrated like that, your kidney function is like a sponge and your kidneys are like a sponge.
- 45:12And if you let them get too dried out, it's really bad.
- 45:14And they help filter things out and they help keep your your fluid balance in your body as well.
- 45:19So moral of the story is that if you don't feel great and you're sawing consistently, look at your electrolytes and make sure you're replacing them.
- 45:27I don't like element.
- 45:29A lot of people like that one.
- 45:30I think for me, it is too high in salt.
- 45:33I like to make my own.
- 45:34There's one uh that I I currently am not making my own, but there are a lot of recipes out there that you where you can make your own.
- 45:41I really like it's called dry water.
- 45:43I don't have a code for you guys on that, but it's higher in potassium, which is harder to get.
- 45:48And I then add my own salt to that and make sure I am getting high potassium foods as well.
- 45:53I make sure I'm hydrating uh with regular with water and salting my food and all those things, particularly if I'm going to be sawing.
- 46:00So you just kind of have to know yourself.
- 46:02I can kind of tell, I'm like, this is a if I'm getting a headache out of nowhere, I'm like, this is a dehydration headache.
- 46:08This feels different than gosh, I just like looked at, I was watching TV without blue light blocking glasses for too long.
- 46:15Okay, that's a great segue into blue light blocking glasses.
- 46:19Are these things even worth it?
- 46:21What are we talking about?
- 46:22Okay, let me give you the the quick and dirty on.
- 46:25So we talked about red light.
- 46:26Now we're gonna talk about blue light.
- 46:27Red light is more calming, okay, can help you fall asleep.
- 46:30Blue light's more stimulating.
- 46:32When you are looking at your electronic device, whether it's your phone, whether it's a computer screen, your TV, your iPad, when what type of lights that you have inside your house, the just the energy efficient lights are very high in blue and blue light.
- 46:53And blue light's natural.
- 46:55Blue light occurs in the sun, but not to the concentration that it is in all these devices.
- 47:00And it really throws off your brain.
- 47:02And so we get like a toxic blue light burden essentially.
- 47:06And we that's one reason we have trouble sleeping.
- 47:08If you have trouble sleeping and you are not uh getting outside during the day, particularly when you first wake up to flip on that switch and tell your body, oh, Tori's doing daytime things now.
- 47:18And at nighttime, if you're not lowering your light, like you're not wearing blue light blocking glasses and you're watching TV without any blue light blocking glasses, and your lights are all on, and you have all they're bright, and you don't have the lower, the yellow looking uh bulbs that you can get on Amazon.
- 47:37They're not very expensive.
- 47:38I have those like in my in my bedroom.
- 47:41Then that's the first thing you should change.
- 47:43I cannot tell you how many clients where I talk to them.
- 47:46I do a quick little intake and they say, Oh, I have trouble sleeping.
- 47:49Okay, talk to me about your light environment.
- 47:51They're like, what?
- 47:52Like, I know I have trouble sleeping.
- 47:53I'm like, I know.
- 47:54The light dramatically impacts your sleep.
- 47:57If you fix someone's sleep, everything gets better.
- 48:00That's when your body regenerates.
- 48:03That's when you're, if you're not sleeping, your hormones are gonna be thrown off.
- 48:06Your cortisol, your stress hormones gonna be high the next day.
- 48:09You're gonna have more cravings.
- 48:10You're gonna feel uh more cranky, you're gonna have trouble losing weight, your hormones are gonna be imbalanced, you're gonna have terrible periods, like all could just be from our toxic light environment.
- 48:20So you fix that, and with some other things too.
- 48:23It's usually not just that, but wow.
- 48:25When I and what a win, right?
- 48:27When I have talked to someone and they're like, I haven't slept that great in years.
- 48:32Walk off.
- 48:32I'm like, you're welcome.
- 48:34Sounds good.
- 48:35Everything's gonna get better from here because you know if you're rested, everything seems easier.
- 48:40You feel like you can actually do the things you need to do.
- 48:44Blue light.
- 48:45Get some.
- 48:46I have like I buy the six-pack blue light blocking glasses on Amazon.
- 48:50We lose half of them in six months, no big deal.
- 48:52It was like $12.
- 48:53I leave them by my TV.
- 48:55I give them to my kids.
- 48:56But to make it easier, I put probably the best money I spent on my phone accessory is I have a blue light blocking screen protector on there.
- 49:06You can turn your screen also to a low light and you can turn it to a red light.
- 49:11But I dropped my phone, as we do, you know, we drop our phones.
- 49:16And the screen protector shatter did its thing, was what it's supposed to do, right?
- 49:21It absorbed that shock.
- 49:22So I ordered another one on Amazon, but it didn't come for a couple days.
- 49:26So I ripped that one off.
- 49:27I just couldn't look at it anymore.
- 49:28It was like too busted.
- 49:30And for those few days, I use my phone a lot for work and you know, like just general life.
- 49:35And I could not believe how irritated my eyes felt.
- 49:39I even like right now, I'll just tell you, I am recording without glasses because if I put on glasses, then the glare on the screen's really bad for for you guys.
- 49:49And the I have a light shining on directly in my in my face that's you know, not a soft blue light or what all whatever.
- 49:58So I'm looking at my computer screen, I have.
- 50:00This other light.
- 50:00And I just, I feel a little strung out, to be honest with you because of this light.
- 50:04I don't, I really avoid this level of light, this intensity level.
- 50:09Something that you can do.
- 50:10I mean, blue light blocking glasses are really cheap.
- 50:13Get screen protectors.
- 50:14There's also software you can get for your computer screen if you are someone who is in front of a screen all day long.
- 50:20Another thing you can do is put your computer next to a window.
- 50:24South facing is best for us here in the US because it allows the most, you know, it's the most sunlight.
- 50:30So if you can set yourself up for a soft facing window, you might start sleeping better instantly.
- 50:36Incredible, right?
- 50:37So those are some things to think about.
- 50:40Along these lines, since we're talking about sleep.
- 50:43Grounding sheets, are they worth it?
- 50:46Well, I would say yes.
- 50:48You have to get a reputable brand though.
- 50:50So I have a link in there.
- 50:51I'll share with you guys.
- 50:53Uh the grounding sheets were in best were an investment for me on Black Friday last year.
- 51:01And what we're trying to simulate again, we talked about trying to be a connected to the ground, the way that our ancestors were connected to the ground.
- 51:09And we don't have that.
- 51:11And so the way that you can be grounded in your house when you're, you know, inside a lot, you can connect these sheets or this grounding mat to a grounding part of your outlet.
- 51:23You plug it in, and now you are connected to the earth because your house is grounded.
- 51:28The electricity is grounded.
- 51:29Now you have to check.
- 51:30Not all of your outlets are grounded.
- 51:33So you do need there's a little device you can get to check to see if that device, that outlet is actually grounded.
- 51:38But I'll tell you how I use this.
- 51:40So we sleep with these sheets.
- 51:42I got them for my kids.
- 51:44And this just helps us in the in the winter time, even though I live in Southern California and it's just beautiful weather compared to the rest of the country.
- 51:50I'm not always outside without my shoes.
- 51:53Now I take every opportunity to do that if I to get the real thing, because the real thing's better than grounding mats, getting your feet in the grass, getting your feet in the sand, getting your feet in the dirt.
- 52:05But it doesn't, it isn't always accessible for us.
- 52:07So this is a nice happy medium.
- 52:09I also have a grounding mat I have under my desk, which is great.
- 52:13So I pop my shoes off.
- 52:14I'm at the desk, I'm grounding the whole day.
- 52:16I'm working, it helps decrease inflammation.
- 52:19The easiest way to say this is that it helps to give your body the charge that it needs.
- 52:26When you eat fruits and vegetables, you are soaking up antioxidants.
- 52:30Okay.
- 52:30You're giving your body these extra tools it needs to neutralize the breakdown that happens in your body.
- 52:37Everybody's body breaks down.
- 52:38That's just the way it works.
- 52:39These antioxidants help neutralize that breakdown.
- 52:42Grounding in my mind is a similar thing.
- 52:46When you ground, it decreases inflammation.
- 52:48It's giving your body this charge that it needs that we were created for.
- 52:52God made us to be connected to the earth.
- 52:54He made us to be outside in the sun.
- 52:57When we are disconnected from the way that we're created, our body starts not to work as well for us.
- 53:03So there's things we could do.
- 53:04If you can't, if you don't want to purchase grounding mat or sheets, go outside.
- 53:09Put your feet in the grass.
- 53:11Put your feet in the sand every opportunity you get.
- 53:1330 minutes a day is a great thing to shoot for.
- 53:16Okay.
- 53:19Life wave patches.
- 53:24All right, phototherapy patches.
- 53:27Now, phototherapy, we've talked a lot about red light.
- 53:30Let's talk about near infrared light again.
- 53:32Let's revisit that.
- 53:33When you, the sauna that I have, it's the near infrared light, it penetrates deep, deep into the tissue, whereas red light is more surface to stimulate healing.
- 53:44Your body, because you were created by God this way, so amazing, creates near infrared light.
- 53:50When you, your body's emitting near infrared light at all times.
- 53:54So there are these little phototherapy patches, not medication, nothing major.
- 54:05With its technology, it reflects the near infrared light back to your body that your body is already making and it helps the healing process.
- 54:15Amazing.
- 54:17Let me give you a little anecdotal story.
- 54:19If you listen to my last show, I think I probably talked about this, but I think it's too incredible to talk about.
- 54:26If you go to uh if you go to my page via the link, you can check out all kinds of different testimonials.
- 54:34My goodness, my goodness.
- 54:36So I told you I have a hernated disc in my neck.
- 54:40I have two numb fingers, which I just live with.
- 54:43Numb fingers are weird and they're a little more sensitive.
- 54:46It's almost like having a having a funny bone that's exposed all the time.
- 54:51You know, when you hit your funny bone, it's just like, oh, the nerve.
- 54:54So with this nerve damage, that's what I feel all the time.
- 54:57I started getting shooting nerve pain in this in these fingers when I started using these patches.
- 55:04And more an increased feeling, increased sensation in my fingers.
- 55:11And I can only imagine what else is going on in my body if my nerves are regenerating from an old injury.
- 55:17Now, my husband, very interesting.
- 55:20He got his finger cut off by his dad.
- 55:23It was an accident.
- 55:24They're building a fence.
- 55:26And he last minute stuck his hand on the top of the fence post to readjust it because it looked crooked.
- 55:31And his dad came down with a sledgehammer and popped off his finger.
- 55:35They ended up reattaching it, but he has had no feeling in that finger for 40 years.
- 55:43He starts using the patches.
- 55:45He calls me one day.
- 55:46He's like, I don't know what's going on, but I'm getting terrible shooting pains in this finger of mine that's none, which again, you might be like, oh, I don't want that.
- 55:54I don't want shooting nerve pain, but you got to think the your body is regenerating.
- 55:59It's incredible what we can do.
- 56:02So I cannot say enough about these.
- 56:04There's, and there's different patches for pain and for uh inflammation and for mood and anxiety.
- 56:11There is just so many opportunities for for healing in a very natural way.
- 56:18And I'm all about that.
- 56:19So check those out.
- 56:22Before we go, I wanted to address the number one Christmas gift.
- 56:26If you are looking for yourself or for somebody else, it's very affordable.
- 56:31The weighted vest.
- 56:32And if you follow me on social media, I was very resistant to the weighted vest, even though all my clients had them.
- 56:38I was like, I don't need that.
- 56:39I don't need that.
- 56:40I already have my routine, whatever, you know.
- 56:43I just think I know everything.
- 56:44I said, Oh, I don't need that.
- 56:45But I ended up getting one to go on my uh last trip over the summer.
- 56:51It was awesome.
- 56:52And I use it all the time now.
