- 2:45Speaker 2: So before we go any further, tell us a little
- 2:48Speaker 2: bit about yourself.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Well, I'm twenty four years old.
- 2:52Speaker 2: I'm a self published time out time out, no no, no, no,
- 2:58Speaker 2: you are how.
- 3:00Speaker 3: I was twenty four. I just actually turned twenty four
- 3:02Speaker 3: a couple.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Of days ago, and then.
- 3:06Speaker 4: Going on, go ahead, yes, but I am a creative writer,
- 3:13Speaker 4: upcoming creative writer.
- 3:15Speaker 3: I basically lived the life of.
- 3:17Speaker 4: A typical twenty four year old while trying to pursue
- 3:20Speaker 4: my dreams and my passions. I'm currently studying creative writing
- 3:26Speaker 4: at the University of Phoenix on the side, as well
- 3:28Speaker 4: as working but poetry and writing alone and music, anything
- 3:34Speaker 4: art creative has always been a passion of mine. So I'm,
- 3:37Speaker 4: you know, gradually exploring that day by day, slowly but surely.
- 3:42Speaker 2: So. Yeah, so what what about this creative element of
- 3:51Speaker 2: writing and poetry? What draws you to it?
- 3:54Speaker 4: I think if I would say, it gives me like
- 3:58Speaker 4: self identity, you know how everyone has that thing that
- 4:02Speaker 4: they're good at and they're not so good at, or
- 4:04Speaker 4: it makes them feel like themselves the most. I've always gravitated,
- 4:08Speaker 4: gravitated towards poetry and writing ever since I was like five.
- 4:12Speaker 4: I will write about like astrology, the moon and the stars,
- 4:15Speaker 4: things like that, and over time I just kept writing
- 4:18Speaker 4: and writing and writing. Then I realized, like, hey, this
- 4:20Speaker 4: may be something I should pursue and I've been able
- 4:24Speaker 4: to do that and express that through music as well
- 4:27Speaker 4: the other things.
- 4:28Speaker 3: So yeah, music too, Yes, let they find out and everything. Yeah,
- 4:37Speaker 3: I do love something every now and then.
- 4:39Speaker 2: So music, what genre are we talking.
- 4:42Speaker 4: About so lately? Most recently? While I started off with rap,
- 4:48Speaker 4: but now I'm exploring like different genres, like so you know,
- 4:53Speaker 4: adding spoken word to my music so you know, different spiritual,
- 4:58Speaker 4: spiritual based music.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Just all kind of gaveway. It's no limit to it.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Oh man, find out? Well do you? So? Do you
- 5:09Speaker 2: do like poetry reviews or anything along that line?
- 5:14Speaker 3: Can you say that again?
- 5:15Speaker 2: Do you do poetry reviews or anything along that line?
- 5:19Speaker 3: I haven't.
- 5:19Speaker 4: I'm like, literally I have experience with poetry, but I'm this,
- 5:24Speaker 4: I'm just now starting to like explore more stuff in
- 5:26Speaker 4: terms of that. So I'm just seeing playing with everything
- 5:29Speaker 4: and seeing where it leads me to basically.
- 5:32Speaker 3: But yeah, I like that.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I love it when you have no plan. It
- 5:39Speaker 2: seems like to me, it seems like sometimes when you
- 5:44Speaker 2: don't have no plan, that is the plan.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Yeah, It's like I have it's a structure, but it's
- 5:51Speaker 4: like a wild structure because you know, how you have
- 5:54Speaker 4: a plan, but God has.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Something completely different.
- 5:56Speaker 4: So I've always been able to just I've always been
- 5:59Speaker 4: able to write naturally. Like I want in the future,
- 6:03Speaker 4: I want to go into doing like screenplays and playscripts
- 6:07Speaker 4: and you know, move like stuff, anything creative writing in general.
- 6:10Speaker 4: I just want to explore that. And poetry is just
- 6:12Speaker 4: like the base of it.
- 6:14Speaker 3: But when I say I'm just now starting.
- 6:16Speaker 4: Off fresh and I don't know where I'm gonna go,
- 6:18Speaker 4: you know, I could be writing mute, be a songwriter.
- 6:21Speaker 4: I could be write a play next year, So we
- 6:24Speaker 4: never know where it's gonna go.
- 6:25Speaker 3: So I just try to stay.
- 6:26Speaker 4: Open minded and productive in both fields, just to see
- 6:31Speaker 4: where it takes me, because I feel like if I
- 6:33Speaker 4: have a set plan on it, something different can happen
- 6:37Speaker 4: and you don't know who that could lead you to.
- 6:40Speaker 4: So just being positive and seeing.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Where it leads me.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Okay, So you have this beautiful book, Yes, Brown, I
- 6:50Speaker 2: wonder tell us a little bit about that book.
- 6:55Speaker 4: So this book, the center of this book is about
- 6:59Speaker 4: spirituality and mental health and healing.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Three years ago, I was battling.
- 7:05Speaker 4: Anxiety and depression and I went through really rough time
- 7:08Speaker 4: and I had my first encounter with the Holy Spirit,
- 7:12Speaker 4: and it taught me a lot about Jesus, and you know,
- 7:15Speaker 4: just my whole belief system changed as a young adult.
- 7:19Speaker 4: And I was inspired enough to put this in a
- 7:22Speaker 4: book in a way that was poetic, in a way
- 7:24Speaker 4: that I knew meant something deeper to me, and I
- 7:27Speaker 4: could always go open this book and it'll make me
- 7:30Speaker 4: look at those experience in a positive way.
- 7:32Speaker 3: So it's very special to me.
- 7:34Speaker 4: And it's the center of it is spirituality and mental health.
- 7:37Speaker 2: So yeah, okay, what do you feel is your target
- 7:42Speaker 2: audience when it comes to your book.
- 7:46Speaker 4: I feel like my target audience would be in general,
- 7:50Speaker 4: anyone who loves poetry obviously, but anybody dealing with mental
- 7:54Speaker 4: health or they just feel spiritually misaligned with.
- 7:58Speaker 3: Things and need to find their sensor.
- 7:59Speaker 4: Again, I feel like that this book will help with that,
- 8:02Speaker 4: And it's so precise. You know, you know how certain
- 8:06Speaker 4: things you read you don't truly like catch on to
- 8:08Speaker 4: or resonate. It doesn't resonate with you instantly. I feel
- 8:12Speaker 4: like there's something there's parts in this book that could
- 8:14Speaker 4: resonate with anyone.
- 8:15Speaker 3: So if the target.
- 8:18Speaker 4: Audience could be someone dealing with, you know, anxiety or
- 8:22Speaker 4: just someone looking to gain spiritual knowledge. It could apply
- 8:27Speaker 4: to anybody. So that's what I think it's so special
- 8:30Speaker 4: about it.
- 8:32Speaker 2: The cover special girl. I am loving this cover. It
- 8:36Speaker 2: a says a lot.
- 8:39Speaker 4: Yes, the center of the eye I have a I
- 8:43Speaker 4: have a poem in the book called you and I,
- 8:45Speaker 4: and that's what inspired the cover. I was just like,
- 8:47Speaker 4: what if I just do one eye? You know how
- 8:49Speaker 4: they say keep your third eye open. I was like,
- 8:51Speaker 4: let me, let me explore and see what I can
- 8:53Speaker 4: do with this. Originally was supposed to be my eye,
- 8:56Speaker 4: but I didn't know how get that to get on
- 8:59Speaker 4: the cover.
- 9:00Speaker 3: But this that was the result of it. So I'm
- 9:03Speaker 3: glad I made that decision.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Did you create the cover or you have someone else
- 9:08Speaker 2: created for you.
- 9:10Speaker 3: I collaborated with someone to help me create the cover.
- 9:12Speaker 4: I told them what I needed and we kind of
- 9:15Speaker 4: just like tag teamed it and something very simple. And
- 9:18Speaker 4: I liked how the colors, you know, the shades of brown,
- 9:21Speaker 4: mixed with each other, and that's why it turned out.
- 9:23Speaker 2: So yeah, So you know you got a shout out
- 9:28Speaker 2: ever it was you're illustrated.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Oh my goodness is so bad.
- 9:34Speaker 4: It was like a I don't remember the name of
- 9:37Speaker 4: the person, but I found them on fiber and we
- 9:43Speaker 4: basically collaborated.
- 9:44Speaker 3: I don't remember the name. I feel so bad, so
- 9:46Speaker 3: sorry to the person when they knew I loved that.
- 9:48Speaker 3: I love it appreciating them.
- 9:49Speaker 4: But yeah, we basically collapsed on it and shout out
- 9:53Speaker 4: to them.
- 9:54Speaker 3: I don't remember the name because I said this was
- 9:56Speaker 3: three years ago. So okay, okay, I can't see that.
- 10:01Speaker 2: I can see that. I can see that. So what
- 10:07Speaker 2: were you thinking when you were writing your book? What
- 10:10Speaker 2: what was going through you? What? What was what was
- 10:16Speaker 2: your thought process of writing your book?
- 10:19Speaker 4: Everything was kind of okay, I know I'm writing this book,
- 10:23Speaker 4: but the experience wise, the creativity, it was all kind
- 10:29Speaker 4: of unpredictable. Like I'd be in a move this day
- 10:32Speaker 4: and then I'd sit down and I'd write this out
- 10:34Speaker 4: and then I go back and reading and be like, Okay,
- 10:36Speaker 4: how can I apply this to the theme that I'm
- 10:39Speaker 4: trying to portray in my in the book. Like I said,
- 10:42Speaker 4: I was dealing with mental health. So when I was
- 10:44Speaker 4: writing this book, I was still going through these this
- 10:48Speaker 4: dark these dark phases and stuff, and I really was
- 10:51Speaker 4: trying to find a way to escape. And I did
- 10:53Speaker 4: that creatively. So it was a lot of ups and down,
- 10:57Speaker 4: highs and lowells. But I think near the end of
- 10:59Speaker 4: writing the book, I found my center again. I was like, okay,
- 11:02Speaker 4: so when I published it, I'm gonna feel I'm not
- 11:04Speaker 4: gonna feel how.
- 11:05Speaker 3: I was fueled when I wrote it, But.
- 11:08Speaker 4: It was very special to finish it and just close that,
- 11:12Speaker 4: you know, close that chapter.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Even if I like getting a feeling now.
- 11:16Speaker 4: I'll open the book back up and it'll just remind
- 11:18Speaker 4: me of what I overcame. So yeah, that's that's basically
- 11:21Speaker 4: how my creative process went.
- 11:23Speaker 3: When it came to writing the book.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:39Speaker 3: Yeah, really good.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Yeah, a little technical that. Yeah, so you're back. Okay,
- 11:56Speaker 2: so your mindset is what again? I'm sorry.
- 12:03Speaker 4: My mindset was basically at a place where it was
- 12:05Speaker 4: just like I was still dealing with mental health things,
- 12:08Speaker 4: so it was unpredictable.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Some days I write.
- 12:11Speaker 4: One way, some days I feel this way, and I
- 12:13Speaker 4: write something completely different. But near the ending, I was
- 12:16Speaker 4: grateful that I was able to put all that together,
- 12:19Speaker 4: and when I released it, I didn't have those feelings
- 12:21Speaker 4: that I have when writing it.
- 12:22Speaker 3: I think that happens with a lot of artists.
- 12:24Speaker 4: Is like when they're asked about their like, say you
- 12:26Speaker 4: put out on an album or something like that, and
- 12:28Speaker 4: they asked, well, what made you write this, And they
- 12:30Speaker 4: really aren't in that same mental head space anymore, so
- 12:33Speaker 4: they're kind of like, well.
- 12:34Speaker 3: This is how I felt and that's it. So like
- 12:37Speaker 3: it was a lot of spiritual highs and lows, but at.
- 12:39Speaker 4: The end I found a way to bring it to
- 12:41Speaker 4: a good rap like with gratitude.
- 12:44Speaker 3: And I peacefully, you know, released it.
- 12:47Speaker 2: So yeah, So out of all the points in your book,
- 12:52Speaker 2: which one point is the one that.
- 13:00Speaker 4: To get through, I'm gonna say the second poem that
- 13:05Speaker 4: I have in my It's a lot of them that
- 13:06Speaker 4: are very dearly and special to me, but I'm gonna
- 13:08Speaker 4: name it. I'm gonna actually gonn name it too. So
- 13:11Speaker 4: the first one is titled Right, and it's basically about
- 13:15Speaker 4: being in this place of sorrow and then you finally
- 13:20Speaker 4: find Jesus your center and he makes these promises to
- 13:25Speaker 4: you and it fulfills your heart in a way that
- 13:27Speaker 4: only you and him will understand, because no one knows
- 13:29Speaker 4: you like He knows you.
- 13:31Speaker 3: So the name of that poem is titled Right, which
- 13:33Speaker 3: if you when you order.
- 13:34Speaker 4: The book, you'll see what I'm talking about and if
- 13:37Speaker 4: I hopefully it resonates with you.
- 13:39Speaker 3: And then another this is for all the black girls.
- 13:43Speaker 3: Another one is called fix my Hair.
- 13:46Speaker 4: It's basically an analogy of a prayer to God, but
- 13:50Speaker 4: I use references to me sitting in a chair and
- 13:54Speaker 4: I'm making requests to my hairdresser of like, God, this
- 13:58Speaker 4: is what I want. But I'm speaking like he's a
- 14:00Speaker 4: hair hairdresser, and my head is like my mind asking
- 14:03Speaker 4: him to fix, you know, making that analogy, asking him
- 14:06Speaker 4: to fix my mind. But I'm in my hair like
- 14:08Speaker 4: he's the hairdresser. So I think people really like that one.
- 14:12Speaker 4: It's a lot of them.
- 14:12Speaker 3: In there that I have.
- 14:14Speaker 4: I hope it's dearly, but those are two of my
- 14:17Speaker 4: I would say favorites.
- 14:20Speaker 2: All right, So what would you say if God said,
- 14:32Speaker 2: which one of your points brings you closer to me
- 14:36Speaker 2: or brings Yeah, I'm about to hit that little heart strength.
- 14:42Speaker 4: It's so many, it's literally, oh, okay, let me think.
- 14:51Speaker 3: I'm gonna say, okay, three, three.
- 14:55Speaker 4: Okay, fine, So the first I would say the first
- 14:59Speaker 4: two that I wrote, and then the third one is called.
- 15:05Speaker 3: The third one.
- 15:05Speaker 4: Was the third one I'm telling you I wrote the
- 15:07Speaker 4: book three three years ago. The third one, I would.
- 15:11Speaker 3: Say, it is called You and I.
- 15:13Speaker 4: You and I is basically coordinates with the illustration of
- 15:18Speaker 4: the cover to you and I, but I'm referring to
- 15:21Speaker 4: me and God and I.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Basically.
- 15:23Speaker 4: I think when I wrote that, I was speaking through
- 15:26Speaker 4: his voice to me, like it was him speaking to me,
- 15:29Speaker 4: and the same as when I was saying like I
- 15:32Speaker 4: had an accounter.
- 15:33Speaker 3: With Jesus and he validated his promises to me.
- 15:35Speaker 4: I feel like that's another poem in there that indicated that,
- 15:38Speaker 4: and that meant so much to me.
- 15:40Speaker 3: So You and I is another very beautiful poem to me. Well,
- 15:44Speaker 3: I don't want to be the author.
- 15:44Speaker 4: It's like, yeah, my home is great, but I to me,
- 15:47Speaker 4: it's beautiful because of the experience behind it and what
- 15:50Speaker 4: I was able to create from that experience. So You
- 15:54Speaker 4: and I is another one that I held dearly. I
- 15:56Speaker 4: do have a poem in my poem Bright I mentioned
- 16:00Speaker 4: mother Shaneier, who also is a mental health advocate as well,
- 16:04Speaker 4: and I shouted her out from that home. So that
- 16:07Speaker 4: meant a lot to me as well.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Yeah, So who would you say is your biggest fan?
- 16:15Speaker 2: That person saying, oh my god, you did it, you
- 16:18Speaker 2: did it, you did it. Oh would that person?
- 16:22Speaker 3: For one, I'm gonna put this sounds kind of like.
- 16:26Speaker 4: Not copy, but I'm gonna say I'm my biggest fan
- 16:29Speaker 4: in terms of like because I know the journey and
- 16:31Speaker 4: what it's like to not have you know, people surrounding
- 16:35Speaker 4: you that sees what you see in yourself.
- 16:37Speaker 3: But other than that, most definitely.
- 16:39Speaker 4: My siblings and my mom and dad who always encouraged
- 16:42Speaker 4: me and they always knew I had a passion for
- 16:44Speaker 4: creative writing. My mom, she would like repost so many times.
- 16:48Speaker 4: My little brothers and sisters, they admire what I do.
- 16:51Speaker 4: So definitely my family for sure, my immediate AUSO family
- 16:57Speaker 4: that I you know, when I was going through the experience,
- 16:59Speaker 4: those people.
- 16:59Speaker 3: That I was around at that time. So definitely my
- 17:03Speaker 3: younger siblings, my mom and my dad and gind.
- 17:07Speaker 2: It is nothing that only took me on horn too too.
- 17:09Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, you have to somebody got.
- 17:12Speaker 2: To do it. You have to. You have to be
- 17:16Speaker 2: your biggest fan because you're the one that you're looking
- 17:19Speaker 2: in the mirror.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, So.
- 17:24Speaker 2: How did it feel when you had your first name
- 17:28Speaker 2: in your hand?
- 17:30Speaker 4: Honestly, I went back to because I didn't tell you
- 17:33Speaker 4: this either. I had the idea of Brown Eyed Wonder
- 17:36Speaker 4: when I was fifteen years old, but I didn't know
- 17:39Speaker 4: that the book that's what the book was going to
- 17:41Speaker 4: be about.
- 17:42Speaker 3: I just had this cover.
- 17:43Speaker 4: I'm like, I'm going to write a book one day,
- 17:45Speaker 4: and it's going to be tied around I wonder. I
- 17:47Speaker 4: used to make like little sketches in high school of
- 17:49Speaker 4: like how I wanted the book to look at everything.
- 17:51Speaker 3: But little did I did not know the book would
- 17:53Speaker 3: be about spirituality anything like that.
- 17:55Speaker 4: I just knew like, Okay, you're going to write some
- 17:57Speaker 4: collection of poems, and that's what it's going to be about.
- 18:00Speaker 3: But I didn't know where what it was going to
- 18:02Speaker 3: lead to. But oh my god, what was the question?
- 18:05Speaker 2: Got? I just I just girl, listen, you are good.
- 18:10Speaker 2: How did you feel when you had your first manuscript
- 18:13Speaker 2: in your hand?
- 18:15Speaker 3: Relieved?
- 18:16Speaker 4: Relieved that the creativity that I, you know, worked on
- 18:21Speaker 4: was tangible. I could hold it, and my second thought was, Wow,
- 18:25Speaker 4: I wonder, who's wonder who this is gonna help? When
- 18:29Speaker 4: I'm like, this is this is the key to help somebody?
- 18:32Speaker 4: It's twenty four pages of some kind of goal that's
- 18:35Speaker 4: gonna heal and help somebody, because it did the same
- 18:38Speaker 4: for me. So those were my first two initial reactions.
- 18:42Speaker 4: And then I immediately wanted.
- 18:43Speaker 3: To show my mom. I think the day I showed her,
- 18:45Speaker 3: she was she she.
- 18:47Speaker 4: Lost it and just caring oft bad about it because
- 18:50Speaker 4: I got the first I got the very first copy
- 18:53Speaker 4: mail to my address, and when I saw it, I
- 18:55Speaker 4: was like, oh, it's so.
- 18:56Speaker 3: Pretty, because I you know, when you're in the process.
- 18:58Speaker 4: Of working on things, if you get frustrated and start overthinking,
- 19:02Speaker 4: second guessing yourself, you don't know how it's going to
- 19:04Speaker 4: turned out.
- 19:05Speaker 3: But I was so proud of myself that I was
- 19:07Speaker 3: able to pull that off.
- 19:08Speaker 4: And mind you, at the time when I was writing
- 19:11Speaker 4: the book, I wasn't in the best place mentally, and
- 19:14Speaker 4: I was, you know, still working dealing with you know,
- 19:18Speaker 4: the adult life and adapted to those things. So when
- 19:21Speaker 4: I finally I was like, this is it. This is
- 19:23Speaker 4: the start of my career as an author. Obviously, I
- 19:27Speaker 4: think I was telling you earlier. People when they hear
- 19:31Speaker 4: that you're off that they expect you to be a
- 19:33Speaker 4: billionaire or I'll blue or something. But that was my
- 19:36Speaker 4: first experience, you know, starting my career path, something to
- 19:40Speaker 4: put on my catalog.
- 19:41Speaker 3: But yeah, I was. I was grateful, very grateful.
- 19:47Speaker 2: So I should tell you. I know we talked ahead
- 19:50Speaker 2: of time, but I didn't tell you about my fun question. Okay, okay, okay,
- 19:57Speaker 2: the fun question is I am a lover of music
- 20:00Speaker 2: and I am a lover of television.
- 20:03Speaker 3: Yes, okay, these questions.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Are going to be about you your book, and we
- 20:13Speaker 2: say entertainment. So okay, first question, what star? It can
- 20:22Speaker 2: be an actress, musician, it could be anybody.
- 20:26Speaker 3: Okay, who would you want to read your book?
- 20:32Speaker 2: And why?
- 20:33Speaker 4: Oh I'm not really like a fangirl type, but if
- 20:37Speaker 4: I had to, I'd say I like Willow. I love
- 20:43Speaker 4: her music and all of her music is about like spirituality,
- 20:46Speaker 4: and she's very authentic. I would love for her to
- 20:49Speaker 4: read my book one day, or maybe.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Like hm hmm.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Some of them.
- 20:54Speaker 4: I'm trying because I don't be like fangirling, like I
- 20:57Speaker 4: have people that I admire. I know this cliche is
- 21:00Speaker 4: such a girl thing for me to say. But Beyonce,
- 21:04Speaker 4: did you see to be Are? Are I love Ariana Grande?
- 21:09Speaker 4: I was? It could reach people like that. Oh my gosh,
- 21:12Speaker 4: that would mean a lesson to me. But I don't
- 21:13Speaker 4: be fangirl over people.
- 21:15Speaker 2: So you and my daughter would get along great because
- 21:18Speaker 2: she have you ever been to a Beyonce concert?
- 21:23Speaker 3: Never? It looks like a lot of fun. Expensive but
- 21:27Speaker 3: it looks like it's worth it, though, But I love
- 21:29Speaker 3: to go.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Who Okay, I don't think I have the energy to
- 21:34Speaker 2: go to one of her concerts because.
- 21:36Speaker 4: Stimulated at any concert, regardless of who it is, I
- 21:39Speaker 4: feel like i'd be overstimulated and read.
- 21:43Speaker 2: After ten minutes. All right, many, So you have the
- 21:51Speaker 2: chance for your book to be married m made it
- 21:54Speaker 2: to an audiobook?
- 21:56Speaker 3: Yes?
- 21:57Speaker 2: What voice or who schools? Do you hear reading your book?
- 22:05Speaker 3: Oh? That's a good question.
- 22:07Speaker 4: These are things that I've never thought about.
- 22:11Speaker 2: That's why the end the funk questions.
- 22:14Speaker 3: Is it? Is it crazy to say I don't know?
- 22:18Speaker 2: No, it is not. It is not crazy because now
- 22:22Speaker 2: that's a goal, Like, okay, I don't not booking me
- 22:25Speaker 2: an audience book? So how do I know?
- 22:29Speaker 4: This is just off the top of my head because
- 22:32Speaker 4: it's a song by Tianna Taylor that Taraji p Henson
- 22:36Speaker 4: was narrating and she I think it was like poetry
- 22:38Speaker 4: at the beginning of the song. Maybe she'd be great
- 22:41Speaker 4: narrating and that'd be dope. She's one of my favorite actresses.
- 22:44Speaker 2: So and she is very, very.
- 22:49Speaker 3: Passionate.
- 22:51Speaker 2: Yes, and she's very self assured.
- 22:54Speaker 3: Yes, I think.
- 22:59Speaker 2: Yes, yes, Okay, we got one more for you. I
- 23:03Speaker 2: think you start I think this question. I'm gonna start
- 23:05Speaker 2: using all the time. Okay, Lifetime television is on the line.
- 23:10Speaker 2: You know, they like to do everybody's bio pick.
- 23:14Speaker 3: Oh, I love I missed Lifetime. I haven't watched Lifetime
- 23:16Speaker 3: is so long.
- 23:18Speaker 2: They had this series that Mary J. Blige was, according
- 23:27Speaker 2: to her, one of her songs, And that's what started
- 23:29Speaker 2: making me look at it because I started to notice
- 23:32Speaker 2: that they weren't doing a lot of biopics. Clark's sisters
- 23:36Speaker 2: Tony Bracson, Whitney Houston, TLC, Salt and Pepper get into it.
- 23:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:45Speaker 2: They called, They called you and they said, we want
- 23:48Speaker 2: to do a bio pic of you. Who would you
- 23:51Speaker 2: want to play you? And why?
- 23:55Speaker 3: I don't know who? Okay, you know what I actually
- 23:58Speaker 3: do know. Probably she's gonna laugh.
- 24:03Speaker 4: Okay, I probably would get my sister to play me
- 24:07Speaker 4: because she's like my doppelganger.
- 24:09Speaker 3: We look just like and no one knows me. How
- 24:11Speaker 3: she knows me? Maybe her.
- 24:13Speaker 4: I can't think of like actress wise who I like
- 24:16Speaker 4: identified with that could play me?
- 24:19Speaker 2: I don't knows. Keep it in the family, girl, you think?
- 24:25Speaker 3: Who do you think? If I had to buy? Okay?
- 24:28Speaker 2: From what I read?
- 24:29Speaker 4: If I'm young, I'm like twenty four, So I don't
- 24:32Speaker 4: know any twenty four year.
- 24:33Speaker 3: Old a listens that look like me? I don't know.
- 24:36Speaker 2: And since let me tell you from when I read
- 24:39Speaker 2: and your age does you nothing because you're very mature.
- 24:48Speaker 2: I was getting to feel, oh, Marcia and ambrocious, ambrocious,
- 24:56Speaker 2: one of the young ladies from Floor A Tree. I
- 25:01Speaker 2: was getting that early version of Jill Scott when she
- 25:05Speaker 2: first came out. M Okay, So that's the vibe that
- 25:11Speaker 2: I'm getting.
- 25:14Speaker 3: Okay.
- 25:15Speaker 4: I know a lot of people have told me, like
- 25:20Speaker 4: like Zoe Kravits or Zoe Kravit's.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Mom lies, so I can see that. I can see that. Well,
- 25:34Speaker 2: we are down to our last five minutes, so of course, One,
- 25:38Speaker 2: are you working on anything right now?
- 25:41Speaker 1: Oh?
- 25:41Speaker 3: I'm working on a lot of things.
- 25:43Speaker 4: Two things I'm not going to mention, but the things
- 25:47Speaker 4: that I can mention is I've been doing more content
- 25:51Speaker 4: with spoken word poetry. I've been working on music that's
- 25:56Speaker 4: family oriented as well.
- 25:58Speaker 3: And then I have two.
- 25:59Speaker 4: Other projects that are in the process, but I'm not
- 26:01Speaker 4: going to say too much about those.
- 26:03Speaker 3: I just want to, you know, pop up with it.
- 26:06Speaker 3: But yes, I've been working getting back into my creativelopment,
- 26:10Speaker 3: you know.
- 26:11Speaker 2: So I know we have your your handles at the bottom,
- 26:16Speaker 2: but tell your viewers, your old readers, your new readers,

- 27:44Speaker 2: word is wonder. So, missus Mariah, what does the word

- 27:58Speaker 4: and it's also it also represents to me, this is
- 28:04Speaker 4: what it represents, like being a hero, like heroism and
- 28:07Speaker 4: just reaching for the stars and looking up in times
- 28:11Speaker 4: where it feels like you're at a down place, just
- 28:13Speaker 4: looking up and remaining hopeful and faithful.
- 28:16Speaker 3: So that's what I'll say.
- 28:17Speaker 4: Wonder because you think like I wonder why, or I
- 28:20Speaker 4: wish or I wonder you know this, that and the
- 28:22Speaker 4: third and that's this gateway to imagination. That's a gateway
