- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome in, Bill's fans, to another episode of the Triple Coverage Podcast.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_00]: My name is Lance Nelson, the president of Bilton Buffalo, to my left, Scott Casson, to my right Benjamin Schupe.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's rivalry week, not only in Buffalo, the Yankees play the Red Sox tonight, for Game 3 of the Wild card.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: Let's start off with that Ben who you got tonight.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I mean, I got to go with my team.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_03]: I got to go with boss rent tax.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I'm shocked that they're actually with the injuries.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_03]: They've had the past a little, like, month or so and just all the younger guys that you had playing this year and some of the guys shrug on early and I'm shocked they're here.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm going to enjoy it and I think it will be hilarious if
- 1:21[SPEAKER_03]: this world series bound in the New York Yankees that everybody thinks is world series bound loses to the Boston Red Sox who a lot of people did not have making the playoffs for the season started.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_03]: I just think it'll be funny.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_03]: So I don't, if you asked me like if I was going to bat on the Red Sox tonight, no, just because again, the Yankees should win, but we know how baseball works and it's not always the team that should win winning.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, I just, I mean,
- 1:49[SPEAKER_03]: first two games have been good so I hope that this one is at least a good one and it's not like a blow up for the Yankees but I'll take a blow for the red tags I guess.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_01]: would say after some of the injuries the Yankees had, they haven't necessarily been World Series bound all season either.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_01]: They lost Garrett Cole was a top five pitcher in baseball.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_01]: They lost Clark Schmidt who has, I think, the second lowest ERA in the last season in the half and both teams are starting to rookie tonight.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_01]: So say what you will about the lowest me red socks who are actually a pretty solid team on paper and spend quite a bit of money on their payroll and broad and out-expring.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_01]: And then
- 2:24[SPEAKER_01]: created Raphael Devers, which was maybe addition by subtraction and paid a lot of money for Trevor's story.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_01]: Like, they have a role in this chat, and he's probably the best closer and baseball again, looking like it's 2016 out there.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I think it should be a good game tonight.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_01]: I think the aches pull it off, but it's funny that yet, the both of the guys starting tonight, both started the year in double-agg, Schlittler came up in July, and
- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: and early came up later in September when they were 19 big league innings.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_01]: Pretty much going to be whichever one of these young guys can give more depth because the Red Sox bullpen is pretty shot.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_01]: The Yankees is pretty fresh but I don't trust it at all.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_01]: So would you ever one of those guys can give you five solid innings is going to make a difference.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: amazing.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_00]: That's going to be Yankees.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: All right, I'm the football here.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: We digress for just a few moments, but rivalry we hear at Highmark Stadium, it's going to be a white out, so make sure you wear your white jerseys or hats and hats and even pants if you have them.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: But hi, mom.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_00]: Let's get into it.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: What did you think about the Saints game guys?
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just going to go first and say simply when they needed to they did, when the defense needed to make the key stop, they did, when the offense needed to score, they did, they won the game, and that's going to be the theme throughout this entire season.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: Shoot, we'll start with you.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_00]: What do you got for a quick reaction to the Saints game?
- 3:51[SPEAKER_03]: I'm actually gonna just because I don't know what Scott's gonna say, I'm gonna let Scott cook type two things and I don't want to take one of Scott's if I do, I'm okay, I'm saying I'm gonna have Scott go first, I don't know if you're gonna go ahead, I got to go ahead, I got to
- 4:05[SPEAKER_01]: Biggest takeaway was you could kind of tell the team that necessarily get all the way up for this one.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's a home game sandwich between two big divisional games, two prime time games.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_01]: You got maybe the worst team in the league, the Saints coming in.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_01]: The McDermott kind of even like alluded that during the week.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: We need the fans this week.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_01]: They got to be loud.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_01]: They got to get fired up.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_01]: It's like,
- 4:28[SPEAKER_01]: You normally say that before big playoff games or, you know, big, big, not necessarily games or your 17 point favorites.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_01]: So it was a little trap gamey.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_01]: And you could tell the game plan was very basic, which it has been all year, which we're going to talk about in a little bit.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_01]: So.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_01]: They were kind of flat, but like my upset.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_01]: They got it done when they needed to got a little shaky late in the second half of the scene.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: It's almost taking the lead at one point, but when they needed to, they got stops when they needed to cold-ish.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_01]: I've got that pick, the offense.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_01]: scored pretty much when they wanted to got slowed down a little bit in the middle of the game, but I don't think we've seen what this offense is going to be yet.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_01]: I know we haven't seen this defense is going to be yet, so my biggest takeaway is they came out a little flat, but they're still good enough to get it done, and I'm not sure they can get away with that later in the year, but in week four and 17 point favorites they can.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: I need to get away with that later in the year.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to have different game plans and different folks are going to be asked to do different things against better.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that doesn't, that doesn't affect, come a flat, like game plan doesn't matter if teams flat or not.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_03]: Um, yeah, that, I mean, that was going to be one thing a little bit to what you said Scott of just like, even, maybe not the flatness, but the game plan.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_03]: It,
- 5:49[SPEAKER_03]: Very obvious that early on they're gonna stick to their game plans.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_03]: They're not gonna open up their bag It's especially offensively they're going to stick with it.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_03]: I mean even when Lance and I Went and heard kind of a government being interviewed Kind of a government even talked about like this early.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_03]: They're kind of keeping it vanilla They're not really going crazy with the offensive game plan right now So yeah, I mean I was on the buffalo under the helmet podcast, which you can check out on their YouTube channel buffalo under the helmet
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: there's so gracious to have us as guests will be there again for another taping coming up this week so we do appreciate those guys if you haven't done so yet you want to hear Connor McGoverns episode go check that out on Buffalo under the helmet.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and yeah, so yeah, they're sticking with their game plan.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_03]: I know people want it to be how was the the drafts game where you're up 30 to three, 30 nothing like you're going you're just taking care of business, but again, it's the NFL with these both teams are going to come out
- 6:45[SPEAKER_03]: Saints came out and they wanted to prove something and they proved that, you know, yeah, they may be bad team, but they are at least a team yet.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_03]: You can't just come out flat against.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_03]: So, yeah, Bill's definitely could have played better, but again, it was September.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not going to react to a September game, Team Struggle, like we said.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_03]: We've seen it with other teams.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_03]: You saw Carolina shut out Atlanta two weeks ago.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_03]: teams are still kind of trying things out.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_03]: Some teams are coming up flat.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_00]: But my major needs to overreact.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_03]: My major takeaway though, I'll say is maybe a little bit of overreaction is that the one defense needs to figure it out.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_03]: The saints we talked about going into the game, they were a pass heavy team.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_03]: and this game gets bills they ran the ball more times than they threw it for the first time all season and they were pretty successful for you know being a team that again is not exactly the greatest
- 7:46[SPEAKER_03]: team in the world.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, definitely run defense is going to have to get better.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_03]: But I do think, I guess, I don't want to hear the main reason I thought it might be a little bit of a reaction, because you do have guys coming back.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_03]: You have Open Joe become back, quite coming back.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_03]: Can you still have rookies that are learning the game on the defensive line?
- 8:05[SPEAKER_03]: Milano's coming back.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_03]: So as much as I want to say, yeah, they do need to be better.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_03]: I believe they will get better as the season goes on.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm not going to say that it's a panic time yet, but when you have a team like the same kind of completely changed their game plans from the first three weeks against you and they have some success that's maybe a little bit of a little bit of concern at least next few weeks.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the team had eight missed tackles, but all eight of them were actually veterans.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_00]: He had boats with three Bernard, App Johnson, White and Dequan, Jones, all with one.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: So definitely understand the young people, but the veteran guys were ones missing tackles and sort of contributing to the shitty run defense part in my language, but that's just what it was, just not good overall.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: All right, this week's 7-1 Slicker of the Week, what do you guys think about AJ Epinesse's performance there?
- 9:01[SPEAKER_00]: He had a sack, played really well in the run game.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_00]: Guys just mentioned a little bit about what you think about AJ Epinesse in this scene scheme.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: Scott, you want to just start?
- 9:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was his best game of the season so far, which is must-needed.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_01]: Even as the guy who gets a lot of criticism for not being
- 9:23[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even, like, he was a second round pick.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like they took him super early and he's a consistent rotational at the end.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_01]: I think people want him to be...
- 9:32[SPEAKER_01]: a ten sack a year guy but it's never going to be him there are definitely games where he disappears but from a rotational guy you're going to have those but it was good for him to get a sack hopefully that gets him some momentum going forward and we can get some kind of a past rush going because outside of a jolly bosa that there hasn't been a whole lot so yeah good for Ajay but that's definitely his best game of the year and hopefully that gets him some confidence going down the road yeah I think it's funny that the reaction talked about it
- 10:02[SPEAKER_03]: in our, you know, chat before the game that week against the Saints about how Adrian Pinesa gets a little bit more hate than maybe he deserves, like he said, he's a good rotational guy.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_03]: He's not getting paid a ton of money.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_03]: He's yeah, first background pick maybe you do want a little bit more, but he's a guy that you you're never, I it's very rare that I'm like very, at or after game, I'm very upset with how he played.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, maybe I say how he can play better.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_03]: but it's very rare that he has a horrible name to the point where you're like, man, this guy should not be seeing a freak field.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_03]: He is a good rotational piece and I think sometimes yeah, he gets a little bit too much hate in this game that he had a good game against the Saints.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_03]: You say what you want about all whatever team it was against, but he'd be showed up.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_03]: And when people are talking about how other players didn't show up this game, age rep and S I did show up.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_03]: And
- 10:56[SPEAKER_03]: You know, maybe it was one of the biggest reasons that the defense did what they did and only about 19 points.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, Adrian, I think it's a little too much hate, especially considering what his salary is and what his role is on this team.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_03]: I think he does it, does what he needs to do.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, pretty good win percentage, 20% sack, three total tackles there, two hurries.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_00]: So did some good things overall in this game, and also was solid in the run game, which, you know, Scott and I talked a little bit about selecting Joey Bosa in this 7-1 slicker of the week, honor again, we already had him once, and I just didn't think he performed well enough with those three miss tackles in the run game to
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: get the honor.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_00]: So we went AJ happiness, a good overall game both sides running in passing and I thought that it was warranted to give him the 7-1 Slicker of the week presented by 7-1 Slicks Barbershop, Deputy York Broadway Road, go see Dennis and Matt.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_00]: You can book on
- 11:59[SPEAKER_00]: They cut using this here QR code if you're able to take a screenshot here and scan this QR code You can book your hair cut now.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna go see them on Saturday So excited to you get all my hairs cut by Dennis
- 12:16[SPEAKER_00]: Moving on now, I think we're going to roll into a little review of the first quarter of the season.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_00]: Scott, you want to start us off here with Offense or Defense your choice and give us something that you've seen from one side of the ball or the other in the first quarter of the season.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_01]: Sure, we'll start with the offense, just a little bit more exciting than the defense I would say and like we alluded to earlier, it's a very basic offense so far against the Ravens and I didn't know how to a little bit more creativity, but they had to with that game and the other games they really had haven't had to yet's wondering if we see it ramped up a little bit more this week against the Patriots, but you see a lot of people online talking about kind of like
- 13:04[SPEAKER_01]: Not enough aggressive play calling, not taking enough shocks down field and like looking for more out of this offense, but like my point is they haven't hit their stride yet.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_01]: They haven't like really taken.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_01]: for lack of better term the handcuffs off of this offense and there's still second overall until the yards one yard behind the Dallas Cowboys who've been in some shootouts of game for that needed to move their first in rush offense James Cook I think is seconds in total rushing yards in the NFL six in passing and the bills have been in some games where they just haven't passed ball at all in the second half because they are winning by so much like they were against the jets and they're second in scoring.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_01]: they're still the only team in the league.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_01]: It's core 30 points in every game.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't really know what more people want.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_01]: Talked about it before of not like the lack of downfield shots and I think that's just as much of his Josh Allen maturing as it is anything else because they've called them and they're not there.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_01]: Josh Allen doesn't throw them and he wins the play instead of trying to win the whole game in one play, which is maturing.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_01]: So
- 14:07[SPEAKER_01]: As the season goes on, they're going to get more aggressive.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_01]: I know people hate the third, third, or second-down screens to communicate or someone out wide, but look, they ran a screen to secure this week and took it 43 yards.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_01]: So those players are going to work.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_01]: They might not work every time, but yeah, it's been basic and what it needs to be, it won't be, and none of that stuff will be on film yet.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_01]: and teams won't necessarily know how to defend us, what it matters.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_01]: So I think this offense is in a great spot.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_01]: All things being considered, I think Josh Allen's playing better this year than he was last year.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_01]: James Cook looks the best he's ever been, and we have a diverse group of receivers and tight ends who can do a lot of different things.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm really excited about where they are.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully some big things to come.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think the people want the bills not to punt ever on, uh, against some of these lower, what they perceive as, you know, lower teams and, and they want sort of that score, at least a feel-go on every play, our never-drive, excuse me, that sort of thing.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_00]: And I just don't see the need and, uh, Ben, go ahead and then I'll give my reason why.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_03]: Um, I mean, for me, it just the offense, my number one thing is I'm a little bit shocked
- 15:19[SPEAKER_03]: lean on the run game.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_03]: I think part of that is just, it's again, you're playing some teams that you maybe want to control the button possession.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_03]: You want to control the game.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_03]: And they're keeping it there.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_03]: Also, they're going to lean on James Cook.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_03]: I do kind of, you know, I've seen people talking about Ken James Cook continue this, this level of not production, but just the amount of touches that he's getting for a game is that if something that they
- 15:48[SPEAKER_03]: 13 carries is worse the one game where you touch about least was that that Raven's game But he's a 21 19 22 carries and can he keeps that up as a guy who in college has never been a workhorse and the NFL has never been a workhorse I know you paid him but you want him healthy and ready to go it with as much
- 16:08[SPEAKER_03]: to as much on the tires as possible when you get to the playoffs.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_03]: So I will see, I mean, I'm interested to see kind of how they handle that because you as the season goes on because you haven't seen too much array day, but you haven't seen really anything of tydrons.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_03]: And but yeah, that's the only thing I'll say is I'm interested to see how they handle James Cook as the season goes on.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_00]: So I do have a staff and a lot of work course.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_01]: We're a staff for that before we get into it.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_01]: So he's right now from our guy yards per pass on Twitter.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_01]: Fun fact my friend Brian he was his professor in college.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_00]: Brian was his professor or you're just for past was Brian's professor The yards for past was Brian's professor
- 16:51[SPEAKER_01]: So he's on a pace for 328 touches this seat.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_01]: It's pretty obvious how I was 281.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: So that's not my quick math.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_01]: He was not my professor.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_01]: So roughly 60 or so touches that's not like a crazy amount.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_01]: Like I wouldn't say that they're like yet risk of running him into the ground.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's just by far making the most of his touches.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_01]: This year and I know Joe Brady said this week he wanted to get ready to give us some more.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_01]: more into it, but it's not like they've been giving him the ball a ton.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_01]: He's just doing so much with what he's getting.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's really incredible.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_00]: I think that we talked a lot about it leading up to the season to see where he was celery wise and where he was going to be usage wise.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's right where we sort of pegged him throughout the first quarter of the season in usage and he's earned every penny of the extension so far and made us realize why he is special, why he was
- 17:52[SPEAKER_00]: wanting that money and why the bills gave it to him, really.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_00]: So bills are six overall in total DVOA, first overall in EPA per play on offense.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_00]: My take is they've done enough while admittedly keeping things vanilla, like Ben mentioned, you know, Connor McGuvern on the Buffalo Under the Helmet podcast presented by a Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_00]: said that, you know, they're not showing them much of stuff, and maybe it's handcuffs like Scott mentioned, you know, maybe they just have a plan going in that they don't really need to do a lot to beat these teams, they're better, they have more skill, and they can just use that to win with base.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_00]: Formations based plays concepts and they don't need to really do much more than that at this time, and it's working Yes, it's not flashy.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_00]: We're not bulldozing people 48 to nothing By any means, but what do we really need to?
- 18:52[SPEAKER_00]: I don't I don't know that we really need to Because we're undefeated, and that's the whole goal get as many wins as possible So you can get in the playoffs, and that's when you're wanting to play your best football
- 19:08[SPEAKER_00]: And we'll talk about that more when we get in the defense for sure, but this offense is done just fine when they needed to They've done it and you know against Baltimore, they came back there and Rode back they definitely had some things up there sleeve there and it was effective.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_00]: So when you have 17 at quarterback for you, I think that you don't necessarily need to do too much and like Scott said he's maturing and just taking What's given to him within the con
- 19:37[SPEAKER_00]: Finds of the offense.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't really need to do more Then what's given to him at when any given play?
- 19:44[SPEAKER_00]: So you see the first interception last week against the Saints and You know sort of threw it up for grabs there, but I almost had a second one that he didn't necessarily throw it for grabs just a Bad throw overall, but
- 19:58[SPEAKER_00]: uh... you know he's played clean i think that the bill's offence is playing it smart and uh... they're gonna ride the run game as much as they can and some of these shorter passes and things like that they'll take a couple shots to key on on the outside and uh... just kind of role with that and i think that the mingle is one of no every week and that's i know that you'll braidie says that every week that's just it just is what it is it's not to uh... dominate your opponent by thirty points
- 20:28[SPEAKER_03]: I do also think, again, to scats point of how much more do you want from the offense.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_03]: Like, some people, I think, do you need to go watch other games and see other offenses?
- 20:38[SPEAKER_03]: And understand, like, this is...
- 20:41[SPEAKER_03]: As pretty much as good as you can get in the NFL like I know what's you we've kind of gotten a little spoiled with how this offense has been the past few years I think and yeah like Lance like he said Lance that a lot of people I don't think I ever want to see the punter which would be amazing but it's just you know you're not going to have perfect drives all the time and the bills like you said are trying things out seeing what's going to work what's not going to work they're keeping it for now on top of that so yeah I do think
- 21:08[SPEAKER_03]: Next time you kind of get really mad at that the bills offense if they're got they go two straight drives without scoring.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_03]: Go watch some other teams go watch some other offenses and then you'll might be a little bit grateful about what we have because yeah it's it's yeah it's.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_00]: 30 points of game basically if you get mad just go and watch our go look at the scoreboard maybe the bills will probably be winning go look at the record the bills are undefeated and just realize that this team is is going to be just fine down the stretch and when we need them to be
- 21:42[SPEAKER_00]: They're saving plenty for that and I know it's not sexy, but it is effective and they've proven that it's effective I know they haven't necessarily gotten to the Super Bowl and that's everyone's claim, but you know, it's one drive away with three minutes left last year From from getting there and and if they're in that position again this year, I gladly take that All right defensively, what do you think Ben, you want to go first on the defense?
- 22:10[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, the defense is kind of an interesting, I think, like the offense, yeah, there's kind of the main points, but the defense, there's a million different things kind of talk about, yeah, some people are Then defense has been, you know, really underwhelming and others are just saying, well, just wait and so I'm more taken than like, I'm not going to make a rational judgment really or like a crazy judgment until it's week 9, 10, 11.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_03]: when you do have everybody back and you do kind of see some of these rookies with more playing time because you know you're missing at Oliver, missing Matt Milano, missing Logan Jovey, you're missing Hoye, you're missing Max Harrison, who obviously we don't know what he's gonna look like, but you're missing a lot of these guys.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_03]: You still even have young guys that are playing and learning the game, doing strong learning the game.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_03]: You know, obviously Sanders and Walker have learned in the game.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_03]: Even Kohlbyship is still learning the game and I think everybody's kind of somewhat forgetting that.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, defense does have room room proof.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_03]: I will say though, the big thing that you people are getting frustrated is third down.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_03]: So at least they're getting them to third down.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_03]: Now you just have to finish off the drive.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_03]: So you have to get them fully off the field.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_03]: So it's not like they're just allowing 10 yards, 10 yards, 10 yards, 10 yards, like they are getting the third down.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_03]: And you just really have to clean up what are you going to do on third down?
- 23:27[SPEAKER_03]: Is that Bobby Babbage Moore?
- 23:29[SPEAKER_03]: Is that the players?
- 23:29[SPEAKER_03]: Is it just a combination of both getting on the same page with how they want to play third down?
- 23:35[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, they have things to work on.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_03]: They need to be better.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_03]: I just mentioned the run defense and needs to be better, but we'll see as time goes on as guys come back, you know, it all ever comes back.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_03]: What happens?
- 23:48[SPEAKER_03]: I do think the past rush has been, even though it hasn't been top of the world, I do think they are getting pressure.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_03]: It's just sometimes they struggle with gap integrity.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_03]: and allow guys to get out of the pocket.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, I just think that defense, yeah, you can be wanting more and wanting better, but I think it's still too early to be pressing the panic button right now on this team, just with all of the changes and kind of just new guys that are needing to step up at least right now.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm gonna wait to say that it needs to, it's gonna be bad once it gets to play out.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the defense is still kind of in a way to see them.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_01]: We're getting back five guys who are gonna be big time rotation players if not starters in the next few weeks.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_01]: So I think we can really judge this defense come November December.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_01]: But based on what we've seen so far, like you said earlier, Ben, the run defense just hasn't been good enough.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_01]: I've always been of the thought process that I don't care if you can run the ball when you're down by two or three scores.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_01]: It takes it out of the game completely.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not necessarily as worried about that because like the offense can help to care of that a lot.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_01]: Past defense, number one and the league.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_01]: You can take that at face value or you can go look at the quarterbacks that they played and make kind of a judgment off of that.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I think we've seen some good things from some people.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_01]: I think Cole Bishop has been pretty solid.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of people will worry about him.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_01]: Forget it.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_01]: You're employer told y'all.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think our eyes told me.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_01]: The guy started the FC Championship game and people were acting like he hasn't played football in his life.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_01]: The guy was going to be just fine.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_01]: Benford, I think, has to figure it out a little bit, but he has been in a different position this year.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_01]: He was going into number one wider receiver a lot more, him in the rest of the world were pretty interchangeable, axes, and
- 25:47[SPEAKER_01]: You know, before that with a younger train white, he wasn't necessarily, he was the number one corner, but it wasn't like he's your number one lockdown guy who'd like to see him clean things up a little bit.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_01]: Joey Bosa, I think has been great.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_01]: He's been healthy so far hopefully that stays and I think we're getting just what you can ask for out of him.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_01]: Like to see an improvement on the past rush overall, but.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_01]: We're not going to see this full defense until everybody gets back in healthy and that could be a little while.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_01]: So have some things to clean up and I wouldn't say that defense is a strength of the team, but they're middle of the pack and just about everything and, you know, for a team that's missing four or five stars, it's not a terrible place to be.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_03]: And before you go on, sorry, in to Scott's point, like the middle of the pack right now, but if they get
- 26:35[SPEAKER_03]: even just 50% better, or even 25% better on third downs, that will push the defense to borderline top 12, 10, right?
- 26:45[SPEAKER_03]: Like, it's some little things that they can fix.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_03]: And like you said, yeah, with the guys coming back, you know, I mean, at all, we're worked for now, when we're gonna still Ravens, if he comes back and can just be that as good as it would look like he could be this year.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that could be one of the just the biggest keys.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_03]: But sorry, Lance, go ahead.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for sure.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_00]: You talk at Oliver.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_00]: You got Michael Hoyt and you got Matt Milano, the biggest thing is getting pressure on the quarterback here.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's not great right now.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_00]: Nine sacks are 19th and the lead, 24th and QB pressures, although in QB pressure percentage, they're 12, so a little bit misleading.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_00]: They're just the number of, uh,
- 27:24[SPEAKER_00]: maybe opportunities or what not, but I think that you add Michael Hoyt and at all over back to the defensive line and then Matt Milano with the way he can blitz at times or the way he can
- 27:37[SPEAKER_00]: stay back and coverage so Bernard can blitz at times if that's what they choose to do.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think that you have really a lot of room for improvement in that regard.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that makes the defense a whole lot better once they start getting the pressures that they're used to and that they're going to get.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_00]: When white, especially joins this rotation, I think that's going to be a big uptick that you'll see with the defense.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_00]: So the first quarter hasn't been great as far as getting sacks and pressuring the QB a ton, but help is on the way.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_00]: So I think I don't know if you guys touched too much on third down efficiency.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_00]: There was a lot to take in there.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_00]: And I wasn't necessarily taking notes on everything you said.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_00]: But
- 28:18[SPEAKER_00]: They're down efficiency, definitely is a big improvement, but again, I think the pressure on the QB can help that a ton.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_00]: So that's what I'm looking forward to.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_00]: I think that I'm glad these guys are getting the reps they're getting throughout the first quarter of the season, especially the young guys, valuable game reps while the bills are still winning games.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think you have to
- 28:39[SPEAKER_00]: And have that as a notch near belt when you're the coaching staff that you can really develop these guys on the fly like this with real game reps.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, what do you think about this far as that goes anything more to add on the defense through the first quarter?
- 28:58[SPEAKER_03]: You know, wait two week nine, 10 11 to really start panicking if you are.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_00]: I'm excited for that chiefs game.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think when we should hopefully knock on wood if we're full tilt going up against hopefully what is the litmus test of the season there.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, James Cook often player the month.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_00]: Thurmond Thomas the only other bills running back to win that award.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_00]: What do you guys think of that Scott go ahead?
- 29:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, awesome for him.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_01]: Well deserved.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_01]: Well, pretty sure the year Thurman won that award.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_01]: He also won the MVP.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_01]: That's for James Cook has has that kind of a season.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_01]: But really, really good for him.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_01]: Well, deserved a guy who, like you said, got paid.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_01]: And a lot of people, including myself, were usually not in the camp, but a pay either running back.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_01]: But so far, he's making it worth it.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you used this in, you know, we're working for Josh Allen in this type of award.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_03]: It's nice to see another bill on the offensive side when this award here.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_03]: So, yeah, I mean, hopefully you can keep it up and maybe when one more is happening or maybe getting that conversation of what Pseurman was in obviously it's a different time now we're running back to being the MVP is very tough to be in that conversation, but you know,
- 30:18[SPEAKER_03]: He keeps it up.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe end up at least being considered for it along with, maybe gosh, though.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_03]: He's been phenomenal.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_03]: There's a lot of people wrong.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_03]: Me being maybe one of them as well.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't think he'd be this level of what he's playing right now.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_03]: He is.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm a, oh, congratulations.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's making me look really good in fantasy football.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_00]: If that matters to anybody, which I know it doesn't, especially Mr. Scott here.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_00]: He loves talking about fantasy football.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_00]: But I do like that Cook has paid off in that regard, and that he's
- 30:54[SPEAKER_00]: You know towards the top of the league and almost every stack category.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see if his trajectory continues in that and if he could finish the season out in the top three or five running backs and most statistical category That's what I'm looking for this year out of James and it looks like he's gonna deliver in my opinion new punter having a good running back shouldn't affect your quarterback's MVP conversation.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_00]: I'm doing it right Right, he's still the MVP right
- 31:20[SPEAKER_03]: Good thing it's not really doing that, right?
- 31:22[SPEAKER_03]: We're also going to have had some comments coming in right now.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_00]: Amazing.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_00]: Which Mitch Wish Nowsky is our new puncher after Cam got his leg destroyed on that penalty.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_00]: What do you guys think of Mitch Wish Nowsky joining the bills as the puncher?
- 31:43[SPEAKER_00]: Do we really care who punched the ball?
- 31:47[SPEAKER_00]: I know we mentioned earlier not a lot of people want to even see the puncher on the field.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, it seems like finding a punter is the hardest thing right now for this team to do.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_03]: Not only keep one healthy, and whatever, but also find one that can do it consistently well.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe Wishnowski is the guy and he comes in the really punch ball well.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_03]: Hopefully again, we don't have to see it a lot.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, hopefully it's something that
- 32:23[SPEAKER_03]: He's not never a major issue for Sam once or twice, but if he does see once or twice, like a game, hopefully they're good.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_03]: So definitely interesting.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_03]: Another Australian hunter, second and a row, but neither of them obviously, because it's the NFL or doing the Australian solid hunting, usually stays in college with these guys, because in the NFL, every one of them would probably get blacked in the NFL if you were hunting Australian style.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, interested to see what he's got.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_01]: There's a great nickname, the boomin onion.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_01]: Good one.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_00]: I did not know that, so thank you.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_00]: That's one of my favorite nickdames I've heard.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he has this poem they call the helicopter pump, which is really hard to catch.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't spiral.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_01]: It kind of goes like a helicopter.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_01]: And he's forced quite a few muffed onto the fumble.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe we can get one or two of those and flip the field for us.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like a helicopter song.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_00]: That's good.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_00]: All right, I think we're all big muff fans here.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_00]: So definitely should enjoy that if you can force a few of those.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_00]: Andrew reports out here on a Thursday.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_00]: We got two practices under the belt.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_00]: Joey Bosa was limited with some vet rest yesterday, but full today.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_00]: Spencer Brown, calf, limited both days.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_00]: Jackson Haas popped up with an ankle, limited both days.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_00]: Matt Milano with a peck, limited both days.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see if he's trending towards playing when we get the report more tomorrow.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_00]: at Oliver on the ankle there, didn't look super great yesterday on the videos I saw, didn't see too many today, so I'm not sure what the update is on that if there is one, but Scott knows because he knows everything and TJ Sanders popped up with a knee limited today during strong was looking down on an iPad so long, studying stuff on digs at his neck is sore today, so just made that up,
- 34:18[SPEAKER_00]: did not practice today in Dorian Williams 2 straight DNP's.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: Scott, take us wherever you'd like.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_00]: What do you think about the injury report and any concerns that's necessarily going into the Patriots game?
- 34:30[SPEAKER_01]: No major concerns.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_01]: I would imagine spent to Brown comes back this week.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_01]: I also would guess just based on the way he looked mental.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_01]: I don't come back this week, but I've been upper body injury.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's tougher to tell because he's going to move just fine, just a matter of how that pack handles tackling and reaching and like getting off a blocks at all of her probably not.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_01]: Um, he didn't look super like comfortable pushing off of that that ankle that foot.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_01]: Um, his lateral movements still, uh, work in progress, got a mandatory and doesn't play.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_01]: So hopefully a lot of does, but Shaq Thompson has been awesome.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe, maybe, uh, maybe he'll be out there and also as far as the guys that I are go.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_01]: None of their 21 day windows were open.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_01]: So they're going to hold off for that.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_01]: And if I had to guess, they're probably going to do that after the biweek for guys, at least for Maxwell Harrison, because before the biweek, you'll lose all week practice, and he needs that.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_01]: And Grable, I don't think the Russian M.A.Long continue to cheat the roster system a little bit, and then for dollar baths, the praitors making kicks.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_01]: You may, maybe he just stays as if it's, oh, I'm hoping that we don't say anymore.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_03]: Ducks that come off is like like the one against Miami with but other than that, he's been phenomenal, but still I was at the game thought that was blocked.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_03]: I thought it was something happened and then I saw the head lift texted a bunch of buddies like did that get touched all and they were like, no, that was just a straight chain.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_01]: I thought you were only texted me.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_03]: Well, you know, I try to only text you, but sometimes it's just not easy being this popular now.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_03]: Well, yeah, when it comes to the injuries, I'm hoping to react and how it's going to play.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, limited two days that kind of sounds like maybe he can, if you can turn a corner tomorrow on beautiful practice in.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, I mean, none of them really stand out like or concern to me.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_03]: I guess I actually the one that does kind of
- 36:25[SPEAKER_03]: It's not even a bill's injury that interested me as Milton Williams did not practice today for the Patriots.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_03]: After the limited on Wednesday, obviously maybe it's their take and easy or they're just kind of going into it and saying, hey, we don't want to overdo it this week with him.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, they have a lot themselves as well.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_03]: A lot of injuries there.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, will Campbell even.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_03]: You know, he's full practice.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_03]: Now, what he's been dealing with a shoulder injury, a lot of guys are dealing with injuries with for both teams really.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_03]: So for the bills though.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, we'll see about Spencer Brown Oliver.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_03]: I agree with you Scott.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think, you know, even some videos that you saw.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_03]: It didn't really look like he was back fully.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_03]: Um, and I, I would be a little disappointed if Dorian strong ends up not playing just because I, I, he played well week one and, and I kind of want to see how his growth throughout the season.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_03]: Go.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not overly concerned about any one person.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_00]: I would also hold it at all over out, uh, really till after the by week at this point.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_00]: No real reason to rush him back.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, let the other guys have their run unless we're really short on numbers there.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_00]: But I think you can.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't get said he didn't fall off the horse.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_00]: did not get injured by a horse, right?
- 37:45[SPEAKER_00]: So that's a, that's a plus.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_00]: Hoping to see Matt Monnell back, Hoping Jackson Haas is good with his ankle injury.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_00]: That's a new one this week that we didn't really know about.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_00]: So Hoping, not too serious there.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_00]: And I concur with your assessment there on Dorian Strong would love to see him shoot up and be able to go.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's about it for the injury report.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, look, there's not a, not a ton there like Scott said that's really concerning and that's a plus.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_00]: So hopefully that continues knock on wood and we'll keep going in that.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_00]: We know we're going to get people popping up here and there missing games in and out of the lineup, but hopefully that their contribution or their role on the team is not too major.

- 39:12[SPEAKER_00]: getting into the little preview of the Patriots Bill's games now defensive and offensive piece of the game.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_00]: Scott, why don't you kick us off here with a little offensive preview?
- 39:26[SPEAKER_01]: Sure, so Patriots defense so far this season they've been above a league average at the use of man coverage.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_01]: You have to imagine that would stick against a team like the bill
- 39:42[SPEAKER_01]: killing that, you know, they don't have a justice represented to my chase.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_01]: So you just can't do that with.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_01]: We have guys who can get open against man coverage.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_01]: So can Kade, Shakir, Elijah Moore, Curtis Samuel P plays, but not necessarily the strengths of our offense.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_01]: So Josh Allen historically plays really well against man coverage.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_01]: Last year he was the top rated quarterback as far as EPA against man.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_01]: I think he was like 10th or 11th in passing, but number one against man coverage and running.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever the defense back is turned to him if he can break the pocket he's gone and he's gonna be running for a while before you catch him So how do you guys see Josh Allen's legs coming into this game and what the bills can do to kind of combat a higher man coverage rate Ben will start with you I'm muted.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_03]: Um, yeah
- 40:33[SPEAKER_03]: So with the man coverage, I mean, one, I want to see who can get separation.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_03]: That's my number one concern is because that's kind of one thing that those receivers, at least when you look at the analytics of everything, it hasn't went to great especially for a guy like Ash Palmer who's obviously people were excited for, see if maybe Elijah Moore can get get more involved this week as well.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_03]: I know it's believed his snap percentage has been around 30% when he has every game if I'm not mistaken.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_03]: Um, so maybe that goes up this week.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_03]: Um, so yeah, I'm interested to see kind of how do receivers separate and especially guy like him on Coleman again, can he have another big game?
- 41:15[SPEAKER_03]: Um, so yeah, I, uh, I'm kind of just interested to see that mostly.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_03]: And then yeah, I think Josh is like will become, come, come, big in this game.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_03]: Um, just because yeah, he,
- 41:29[SPEAKER_03]: when the lane opens and you have all of the DBs either backs tier or they're spread out because you're playing land coverage and he takes off and runs, there's a lane, he doesn't not hesitate.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, interesting that and then even though the run defense is pretty solid for the Patriots, I think that they'll blend up having to have enough tough task with James Koch in this offensive behind.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_03]: So I do think that they still will run the ball pretty well.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think that the coverage is going to benefit Josh Allen.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if they're going to want him to take off a ton, but they're going to want to win the game.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_00]: And he's going to do that regardless.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that you're going to see over 50 yards rushing from Josh Allen this game.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_00]: And I also think it'll be good for a couple of the receivers here.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_00]: I
- 42:26[SPEAKER_00]: run the ball on this team, but I really hope to see a little bit more of the passing game too and want to see can continue to get open against the Patriots here this week.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see if they, if they do stop the run early on, if the bills can go to the pass game and or use Josh Allen's legs as their running game to have success.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you imagine using it as a running game.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's what also people miss with those screen passes that Brady loves to run as quick passes.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_01]: Those are basically the extensions of the run.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_01]: Those are just long hand off.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_01]: So a way to keep the defense honest, even though it's not necessarily just running the Wall Street at the middle on a traditional way.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_01]: But you mentioned the run game that has defense, run defense action pretty solid, third and the league so far, like we mentioned earlier, the bill's defense is not seem to the bill's rushing offense, number one in the league.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_01]: So something's got to give there, Lance, one of your keys for the bills to be able to run the ball effectively against the defense that's pretty stout against it.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, helping each other out if they run some duo blocks and things like that, if they can really get to the second level on those and seal some people off that will open up the running lanes for these guys.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think that, you know, the guards really inside, I think, a serious torrents really has to have a better game this week.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_00]: Things like that.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_00]: I think they can, if Spencer Brown comes back, that'll help because he'll just pave the way.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_00]: He's really good in both the run in the past so far this year.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think that,
- 44:02[SPEAKER_00]: saw a little bit of a dip there in continuity on the right side last week, but I think we can really if we get Spencer Brown back, get back to kind of one unit moving effectively and pushing the defensive line back and like I said, if we can get these guys to the second level and seal some guys off, I
- 44:23[SPEAKER_00]: on the line of scrimmage will be able to, which I guess is sort of like Captain obvious, but it is sort of what the guys need to do in all reality to have the success this week, and I think the interior of this offensive line has it in them, I think McGuverne and Torrance definitely can pick up their games and David Edwards has been.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_00]: pretty solid but up and down here and there as well.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_00]: So I want to see those those three guys definitely impact the game in a positive manner by by opening up some lanes and things like that for James Cook to run the ball.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_00]: And let's see if one of these other running backs actually gets a chance to assert themselves at all in the running game and if they're going to stick with feeding James Cook.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I already touched a little bit on the run defense and you know jump
- 45:15[SPEAKER_03]: Um, yeah, I think they, they, look, I mean, even the Patriots, I don't think they've exactly played.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not mistaken.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_03]: The greatest teams this year.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_03]: Um, so like, the other one defense has been good.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_03]: But last week, I know they played, uh, what the Panthers and the Panthers are being stopped.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_03]: There's a banged up to have a hover to who don't even think finish the game and, you know, it's again, they're not even a that great of a team of
- 45:46[SPEAKER_01]: They kept the best running back in the world and checked in a week long according to you.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, best, go Janty, but that offense blinds terrible.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_03]: So like, I mean, every team decides the bears have shut down the raiders for one game because, again, they might have the worst offense of finding that a whole history.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_03]: Different story.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not gonna get into that right now.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_03]: It obviously not the worst.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_01]: Not the worst.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_01]: Not the worst.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_03]: Not the worst in history, but you know what I mean, they were pretty bad.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_03]: They were good this past week though, but again, the bears bears bears yeah, but yeah, so I know they haven't really played teams that are exactly the best run at running.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_03]: Again, I know Pittsburgh was past week kind of game well had a big game.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_03]: game, but they've been a very up and down offense this year when it comes to just scoring general.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm not going to say that they stopped the Steelers in their prolific run game because the Steelers are on game has been anything but.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, I'm not going to say here and think that the Patriots have exactly had the toughest time to their toughest players to stop in the run game.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_03]: This will be a big test for them, but they still do have some guys up front that
- 46:55[SPEAKER_01]: to put the shoe on the other hand.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_01]: You can say the same thing about teams of bills have played in the run of all games.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_03]: That's true.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the jets have a good deal in, and they, I mean, they definitely would not have a throw in the game against the bills.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_03]: At first, first quarter and a half, they were, they were put in the game, they were put in the game, they were put in the game, they were put in the game, they were put in the game, they were put in the game, they were put in the game, they were put in the game, they were put in the game, they were put in the game, they were put in the game, they were put in the game, they were put in the game,
- 47:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think that it's a strength for both teams.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_01]: I just think our strength is a better strength than the Patriots, strength to the strength a lot of times there.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_01]: But I do think the Patriots run defensive good.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_01]: I think any team that variable coaches is going to be good against the run because he's a top physical football coach and his teams generally play like that.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_01]: Teams reflect their coaches and variables in effort,
- 47:48[SPEAKER_01]: I would say good teams can run the ball, stop the run, they're good on special teams when I think of variable teams, that's what I think of.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_01]: But I think the bills are, there are bills offensive line and James Cook and Josh Allen if they get tie and ray involved is better than what the Patriots can do.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure the bills will have the same running success they've had in their last few games, but I do think they'll be able to move the ball and attempt to control the
- 48:16[SPEAKER_01]: It's about all we got on the run game.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_01]: We're gonna talk about some matchups.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think, you know, just to finish that off is just the Josh Allen runs will help supplement the formal handoffs, you know, that sort of the running game, like we mentioned before.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_00]: So I think overall when you look at rushing yards, if that's how you want to quantum success in the running game, the rushing yards are going to be just fine about what they've been the past few games.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't think there's going to be a huge drop-off in rushing numbers.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they may change hands on who
- 48:47[SPEAKER_00]: is carrying the ball, but if they're not successful with the traditional hand-offs, I think they can be, you know, run the ball their ways, whether it be sweeps with some Elijah Moore, Carter Stamiel if he's active, and then also I am taking off like we mentioned.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_00]: My matchup, not to steal your thunder there, but just to go for it is Dolan Conquade again, some of these linebackers, like I mentioned before, I'm hoping that Conquade, or whoever they put on Conquade, can find some space and get back into the five plus receptions area this week, and maybe get in the end zone as well, because he's been pretty successful at that over the past few
- 49:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think we did the defense is one on the defensive segment.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 49:37[SPEAKER_00]: Offensive matchups here.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_03]: So, I mean offensive matchup.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_03]: I'll probably go, I mean, okay, I'm going to just go with the wrong game.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_03]: I guess I'm going to try to see how the offensive line goes against this defense annoying.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_03]: We just talked about it and even then I kind of downplayed the Patriots for on defense the first four weeks against who they played, like I said, they are our ended.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_03]: They still have guys up there that they can make plates.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_03]: They obviously bring in milk Williams, who I said did not practice today.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_03]: Who knows if he plays, but if he does play, he's a big guy that that can make some play.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, I'll go with the offensive line versus their defensive line.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, for me, Harold Landry going up against both of the bills tackles, the move him around.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_01]: He's a stud.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_01]: I loved him back at DC when he was in college.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_01]: He was a 10, 12-year sack guy with the Titans and.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_01]: came up to New England with with variable this past off season.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_01]: He's a really good defense of that and he can ruin your day if you're not careful with them.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_01]: So excited to see brown and Dion who the vill's like the leave one on one the other team's best past rusher's excited to see that match up parable andrea.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_01]: I think I think that guy's a stud.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, maybe we'll just eat some bad food at the tailgate and then we'll ruin our day that way so we don't have to Maybe that'll be the one thing that ruins our day that way the other thing doesn't Landry that is but a bad joke by me defensive preview three point four 3.4 on 10 What I give that joke a 3.4 on thank you that's generous even
- 51:22[SPEAKER_00]: All right, shoot, man.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_00]: Defense.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so the other defense, it's going to be definitely different than last week with a better offense overall with the Patriots than the same.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_03]: So if you weren't happy last week, hopefully,
- 51:38[SPEAKER_03]: They can make some plays against a better offense and we can be a little bit happier this week with the defense But the Patriots as much as we always talk about the tournament where they have had some problems with Fumming and turnovers.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_03]: It may as only throw them two underceptions, but I believe he's had one or two fumbles Stevenson's had two fumbles and Tonya Gibson's had a fumble So they are a T offense that can shoot themselves in the foot
- 52:03[SPEAKER_03]: So, start with that, how important is it for this defense to get some turnovers and force made to make some uncomfortable throws or get out of the pocket and be scrambles of scouts with you?
- 52:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's huge, and this has been how the bill is defensive.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_01]: kind of made their money in the past season and a half that they give up yards, they try to hold team to field goals and they force turn over.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_01]: One the turnover battle and it was 25 games in a row.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_01]: they continue they've had an unrelatable streak there.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_01]: So that's what the bill's defense does.
- 52:40[SPEAKER_01]: They forced turnovers and if they don't Like we saw against the Ravens in a week one that they're gonna give up some points, but yeah Remandre Stevenson, I think his favorite thing in the world to do is follow the football He does it so often Drake may I he's throwing two picks one of them was kept so not necessarily his fault, but he's still a young corner back on the road
- 53:01[SPEAKER_01]: against the best team in the division at night.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_01]: He's probably going to give you a chance to get one or two.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_01]: So the billes just have to take advantage of those.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_01]: When those opportunities come and that's what's going to hopefully lead them to a victory in his game.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_00]: I think it helps Matt Milano if he comes back and being able to force turnovers.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_00]: So that'll up the ante for this defense in the turnover battle, but we'll see if the safety, if Cole Bishop can stay hot for a second game in a row and where they go with that.
- 53:36[SPEAKER_00]: I think that the defensive line has done a great job for the most part.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_00]: with trying to strip some of these guys, but we'll see also how Stevenson and Henderson run the ball if they find, hopefully they're not finding success or Antonio Gibson here against the Bill's Rundee and forcing the fumble maybe the best way to stop the run for this team this week, so I hope to see a few of those for sure.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you know, even last week, even though the streak ended of winning the turnover battle, he still tied it right.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_03]: He's so got a very, very important turnover in that game at the from coal bishops.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_03]: So, you know, even if you, like Scott said, they put give up some yards, but if you can get a turn turnover or two, and our offense can take care of the fall.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_03]: that'll be huge, just for a rivalry game.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_03]: We never want to turn the ball over in general, but rivalry games just seems like my name can really change.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_03]: And if you can get turnovers in high marks stadium and get the crowd going, especially early, then it's going to be tough for Drake May, who even though he has been solid, it's going to be a little tough for him to maybe, you know, as a younger quarterback, it's a lot when you're coming into a hostile environment.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_03]: If you turn the ball over once, next thing, you know,
- 54:59[SPEAKER_03]: You're down 14 down 7 early, whatever it is.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_03]: And so yeah, I think it's going to be massive to get some turnover.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_03]: And I think early is the the important part, if you can really just not even give them a slum of a thought of hope throughout this game.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, turn over to your leads to the look at the Bill's past game last year.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_01]: We 15 16 16 16 when they beat them at home, it was a close game to the first half.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_01]: It turned the ball over.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_01]: We recovered it for a touchdown.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_01]: That was kind of the difference of it.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_03]: So you got to take advantage when they come because you like Scott also said it will leave.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_03]: You said this guy is that you're going to get a chance or two with with May throwing or throwing.
- 55:42[SPEAKER_03]: So can't drop them can't have penalties just get get the turnover.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_03]: Um,
- 55:49[SPEAKER_03]: Titans on the Patriots, we talked about concave or Lance talked about concave of our offense, but the Patriots do have some solid Titans over there.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_03]: They have honor Henry and Austin Hooper, honor Henry who, in my opinion, I think is one of the most underrated titans in the week.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_03]: Just because he is can be very reliable.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_03]: He's found the ends on a brief three times the sheer if I'm not mistaken, maybe four.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_03]: for Drake May when he's rolling, the guy that he goes back to time and time again.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_03]: So, with the two tight ends of Hooper Henry, how much of a concern is that if Milano plays, if Milano doesn't play, just in general, how much are you going to be focused on these two tight ends for the both defense, Lance, what do you think?
- 56:38[SPEAKER_00]: This is another, I think, strength on strength, type of scenario, or I think if Mono plays and Bernard's there and Tron Johnson's healthy, then our strength of that second level will be there to cover their strength in the tight end.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_00]: I believe as Scott mentioned for the bill's run game strength being better than the Patriots run defense strength that the bills have the greater of the strength again and that's what we mentioned earlier the bills are trying to win with they are not trying to do anything too fancy just trying to beat the other guys by simply being
- 57:12[SPEAKER_00]: better in having the stronger strength.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_00]: So I invite the matchup.
- 57:19[SPEAKER_00]: I'd like to see if they can try to push the ball to the tight ends.
- 57:22[SPEAKER_00]: I think that would result in quite a bit of success for the bill's defense.
- 57:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think people are going to see a lot of similarities in the Patriots' offense to the bills' offense that they go a lot of two tight ends, 12 personnel.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_01]: They like to establish the run that way.
- 57:38[SPEAKER_01]: And both tight ends can also get out and catch the ball and make stuff happen down the field.
- 57:43[SPEAKER_01]: So a lot of similarities there, I don't even know 30s the Drake may and Josh out on their play style of
- 57:50[SPEAKER_01]: No kind of the overall characteristics, but yeah, that's a way that they're often can get rolled and get those two tie-downs out there that can establish the rug and they can play physical and try to out physical you.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_01]: That's something that has happened to the bills in the past, just we have a smaller defense of law.
- 58:08[SPEAKER_01]: Milano is a beef cake, but for an art smaller line, we go a lot of time, we go a lot of nickel coverage with parent Johnson.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_01]: So teams try, like the Ravens try to out physical
- 58:20[SPEAKER_01]: Patrons don't do it that well and that's not necessarily what they're trying to do, but it is something that can happen.
- 58:26[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to have to just get physical back with them when they come out and that formation we have to know the heck, there's something that's necessarily being that they're running the ball.
- 58:35[SPEAKER_01]: Same way when the bills come out with Jackson Halls or six o'clock, it doesn't necessarily mean that they're running ball and talk about Hunter Henry.
- 58:42[SPEAKER_01]: He has maybe my favorite college football play of all time against Ole Miss when he was in college
- 58:51[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, um, there was actually talking with some guys when I was up in your jersey about Hunter Henry and yeah, I think it's unanimous around the league that he is one of the most underrated Titans uh, been just a guy that not enough people I think talked about and part of it has been the past few years.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_03]: The Patriots offense has not been the place to be.
- 59:12[SPEAKER_03]: So, um,
- 59:13[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, he's been great for them.
- 59:14[SPEAKER_03]: We've talked a little bit about the tight end.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_03]: They're them being weapons, not even just as in the passing game Scott talked about in the run game with some.
- 59:22[SPEAKER_03]: We talked about the run game with Stevenson, with Henderson, with even May's legs.
- 59:27[SPEAKER_03]: So the last part about their offense, at least weapon wise, is the receivers.
- 59:33[SPEAKER_03]: So you got digs, cation, boutique, mac, Collins.
- 59:36[SPEAKER_03]: You haven't really seen too much of Demario Douglas.
- 59:38[SPEAKER_03]: He's kind of getting phased out, which is a little bit
- 59:42[SPEAKER_03]: with higher Williams.
- 59:44[SPEAKER_03]: So with the receivers or any of them really concerning you obviously digs this returning to Buffalo last year.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_03]: We obviously some in Houston, but you were turning for Buffalo.
- 59:54[SPEAKER_03]: I know Josh Allen even spoke on like, oh, well, maybe it wasn't really weird or anything that when it was Houston and wasn't really too emotional.
- 1:00:01[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe he'll be emotional for those fans digs being here and digs coming back.
- 1:00:04[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll see.
- 1:00:05[SPEAKER_03]: But in general, any of these receivers catch your eye, Scott will start with you.
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_01]: Short answer no.
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_01]: I mean digs that guy is still in there.
- 1:00:17[SPEAKER_01]: He's coming off the ACL.
- 1:00:18[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't quite look like he's the same, but he's also one of 32 now.
- 1:00:23[SPEAKER_01]: So ACL and not even kind of starts to slow and down, but he's the guy who can.
- 1:00:29[SPEAKER_01]: You know, run Chris Browse.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_01]: He can make corners look silly.
- 1:00:32[SPEAKER_01]: Somebody that you do have to pay attention to no matter what kind of his situation is he's on duty He had an awesome touchdown catch against the bills last year on their first drive I have to say to him was still in the beer line and the Patriots already scored about two minutes.
- 1:00:48[SPEAKER_01]: So he's somebody who was a stud at LSU
- 1:00:52[SPEAKER_01]: I had some off-the-field issues that dropped in the draft, not the fastest guy, but again, runs good routes and catches the ball, makes contested catches and that college, you know, exactly what you're going to get from him and it will be a little bittersweet because he can come back.
- 1:01:05[SPEAKER_01]: But as far as the other guys know, not really.
- 1:01:09[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't think there was Siva room as like, oh my god, we have to focus it on this stuff, but they all can't make play.
- 1:01:15[SPEAKER_01]: You can't fall asleep.
- 1:01:18[SPEAKER_00]: For sure, I think they're going to make a player two in this game.
- 1:01:21[SPEAKER_00]: Overall, I don't think they're going to be the reason why Patriots have any sort of success.
- 1:01:27[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think the Patriots are going to overall have success.
- 1:01:30[SPEAKER_00]: But definitely, you can see a player two for stuff.
- 1:01:33[SPEAKER_00]: And Ute could definitely do some things.
- 1:01:37[SPEAKER_00]: And we'll see what Hollands brings here against a former club of one year being here last year.
- 1:01:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think that we could see.
- 1:01:45[SPEAKER_00]: a few plays here and there, but overall, I don't expect anything to overly concerning.
- 1:01:50[SPEAKER_00]: So as far as I'm concerned, I'm not concerned.
- 1:01:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:01:56[SPEAKER_03]: This was sleeping over the hatreds.
- 1:01:58[SPEAKER_03]: Reminding a little bit of the bills last year, right?
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_03]: With minus a guy like Shakira, I guess.
- 1:02:03[SPEAKER_03]: Because you have an older receiver in digs last year.
- 1:02:05[SPEAKER_03]: We had Cooper.
- 1:02:07[SPEAKER_03]: You have basically Mac Collins and Mac Collins.
- 1:02:09[SPEAKER_03]: That's the given.
- 1:02:11[SPEAKER_03]: Concaid last year, we obviously battled injuries, but you had to tie it in that at least one throwing the ball was maybe a little reliable.
- 1:02:18[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, we can talk about Josh Allen missing him last year, but Hunter Henry, who has been reliable.
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_03]: You know, last year we had Keon Coleman coming in.
- 1:02:26[SPEAKER_03]: This year, it's kind of like the unprovener still of Kishan Boothee and even guys like Harawam's from our dog.
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_03]: So it's kind of like a just a weird room.
- 1:02:36[SPEAKER_03]: The difference is they don't have Josh Allen Drake,
- 1:02:40[SPEAKER_03]: been looking good.
- 1:02:41[SPEAKER_03]: He's been a guy that shows, hey, he maybe can be this franchise guy in doing on, but he still is obviously not nowhere close to that step, even though this past week, I think we've all seen some Patriots fans wanting to make that comparison.
- 1:02:54[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, it's kind of just a weird rumor.
- 1:02:56[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, you know, the digs of the name wise is still a big name, but he's not the same player.
- 1:03:02[SPEAKER_03]: He's come back off in injury.
- 1:03:04[SPEAKER_03]: Hunter Henry's we talked about when it comes to the tight ends, but receivers yet like bootie how good really is he Mac Owens is Mac Owens Kyle Williams, Mario Douglas, like what's going on with that like do our darkest is the big one, but some people had a high expectations for him this year and he's kind of just been Faze out of their offense, I guess
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_03]: five perceptions on 13 targets for 13 yards.
- 1:03:28[SPEAKER_03]: And it's been really just a tough year for him.
- 1:03:31[SPEAKER_03]: So nobody really stands out for the receivers to me, either and like I just learned that.
- 1:03:36[SPEAKER_03]: So far as we're turned, not turned, right?
- 1:03:40[SPEAKER_03]: That really has to, has to end or talk for the defense, I guess we can do the matchup for the defense.
- 1:03:47[SPEAKER_03]: So Lance will start with you, which matchup defensively are you looking forward to the most?
- 1:03:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think that as far as defensively, I do want to see stuff digs against those outside corners wherever he lines up or in the slot.
- 1:04:08[SPEAKER_00]: I am very curious to see how that all plays out with digs in the secondary.
- 1:04:13[SPEAKER_00]: So that's one I'm going to keep my eye on.
- 1:04:18[SPEAKER_01]: We talked about it a little bit, so I'm going to too much that the linebackers and the tight ends.
- 1:04:22[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to see a lot of people.
- 1:04:23[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to see a lot of Henry, so how can the linebackers and throw tear and Johnson in there as well?
- 1:04:29[SPEAKER_01]: And even the safety, I'm sure a cold dish up until it rattles on themselves, matched up with those guys from play to play, so how the tight ends go against kind of whole middle of our defense and land.
- 1:04:39[SPEAKER_01]: Audrey, it's not that yet.
- 1:04:44[SPEAKER_03]: Um, yeah, for me, I'm going to go with the defensive line versus their offensive line.
- 1:04:48[SPEAKER_03]: Their offensive line by no means is amazing, but it's much improved.
- 1:04:53[SPEAKER_03]: You obviously bring in a little Campbell who has been very good for rookie.
- 1:04:56[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously still has had his lumps, but there's been very good.
- 1:04:59[SPEAKER_03]: Looks like he can be that that franchise of tag alert.
- 1:05:01[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm going to want to see that the defensive line.
- 1:05:03[SPEAKER_03]: See what they can do against their offensive line.
- 1:05:05[SPEAKER_03]: And if May has all day, then yeah, they might be able to pick my part a little bit.
- 1:05:09[SPEAKER_03]: But if you're getting pressure, then then it could be a long day for me.
- 1:05:14[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm just interested in that matchup and the gap integrity.
- 1:05:17[SPEAKER_03]: I believe actually a Paul said it here struggled with gap integrity That's the one thing that I want to see it get better.
- 1:05:24[SPEAKER_03]: I want to see the pressure with being able to keep your gap integrity So yeah, I'm though that's gonna be my matchup here, and then I believe
- 1:05:31[SPEAKER_03]: That's it for defensive talk.
- 1:05:32[SPEAKER_03]: If we want to do till very last few things we got here because I know Scott's vision for this to go watch.
- 1:05:39[SPEAKER_03]: I think the red sex about it.
- 1:05:40[SPEAKER_03]: We started.
- 1:05:40[SPEAKER_01]: Audrey is just loaded the bases.
- 1:05:43[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's called them out.
- 1:05:44[SPEAKER_01]: You look safe to me.
- 1:05:45[SPEAKER_03]: Got a lot of things about to start here.
- 1:05:47[SPEAKER_00]: We're right, but Audrey's live bet money line as they were down to.
- 1:05:53[SPEAKER_00]: So we're up for a little ripper there.
- 1:05:56[SPEAKER_00]: ease out the darn all right so i'm going to start secure and can get for the bills here against the patriots and i'm going to sit step on digs in fantasy who you guys got Benjamin uh it's got you a first i got two i don't know if you're going to take one of them if you are doing fantasy this week mr. Matt Prater let's start my creator i'm going to hit some kicks i don't get this did somebody oh well yeah sorry i forgot about sitting
- 1:06:25[SPEAKER_01]: Um, start mat for arrows.
- 1:06:26[SPEAKER_01]: Y'all put that.
- 1:06:28[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's not.
- 1:06:30[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, and I'm going to sit behind Red Sox line up.
- 1:06:33[SPEAKER_01]: Cam Schlittler.
- 1:06:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's about to shove down their throats.
- 1:06:37[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, not in court on the last.
- 1:06:38[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be the overhead.
- 1:06:39[SPEAKER_03]: You know, we're quick.
- 1:06:40[SPEAKER_03]: Um, no.
- 1:06:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so play off baseball's known for their overs.
- 1:06:44[SPEAKER_03]: over.
- 1:06:44[SPEAKER_03]: For me, I'm going to start.
- 1:06:45[SPEAKER_03]: I got two of my guys.
- 1:06:46[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to go Hunter Henry.
- 1:06:47[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't say much as I hate to say it.
- 1:06:49[SPEAKER_03]: I know Lance, you like the match up in that in this game better for the bills.
- 1:06:54[SPEAKER_03]: I still think Hunter Henry will get a lot of reception in fantasy-wise.
- 1:06:57[SPEAKER_00]: Should have been the target there.
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_00]: So that's not a bad pick.
- 1:06:59[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:00[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:07:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:07:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:07:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:07:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:07:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:07:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:07:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:07:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:07:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:04[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:04[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:04[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:04[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:04[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:04[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:04[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:05[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:05[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:05[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:05[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:05[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:09[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:09[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah
- 1:07:10[SPEAKER_03]: The other start that was going to build defense.
- 1:07:12[SPEAKER_03]: We talked about turnovers.
- 1:07:13[SPEAKER_03]: I think they'll force a few.
- 1:07:14[SPEAKER_03]: I think they'll get after it.
- 1:07:15[SPEAKER_03]: They might not get only one, two, three, sacks, not a lot of sacks, but they can force turnovers and could end up being a big game for them.
- 1:07:23[SPEAKER_03]: My sit, I kind of struggled with this sitting one.
- 1:07:26[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm going to just go with the path defense side.
- 1:07:29[SPEAKER_03]: Any defense that's playing the build offense, probably going to want to sit.
- 1:07:31[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, I'm just going to go with the path defense.
- 1:07:35[SPEAKER_01]: amazing stuff all right game predictions i'm going 38 24 the bills are going to win who to get sky you can go i got to think one or foot bills 27 20 right around the spread it's a trap lines a rat line i think we're seven and a half to eight and a half that's a rat line it's slightly under like the others of forty-nine
- 1:08:02[SPEAKER_00]: you don't think the bills get to 30 this week first game the season they don't sore 30 uh... with the right with those uniforms on johns might get confused uh... i'm gonna go with the just because i'd love to see it happen and
- 1:08:19[SPEAKER_03]: It's not going to happen anyways, 31 19 same scores last week.
- 1:08:23[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if that's ever actually happened with a team before.
- 1:08:25[SPEAKER_03]: I've ever had three times in history.
- 1:08:28[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure.
- 1:08:28[SPEAKER_03]: But you had you had that ready to go lands with that as well.
- 1:08:32[SPEAKER_00]: That's not really making this up.
- 1:08:33[SPEAKER_03]: I was going to say I thought you were going to make that.
- 1:08:35[SPEAKER_00]: I was really good.
- 1:08:36[SPEAKER_00]: That was you, Ben.
- 1:08:37[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm very good bullshitting.
- 1:08:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think 31 19.
- 1:08:39[SPEAKER_03]: I think the lot at least hit 30.
- 1:08:43[SPEAKER_03]: Patriots how much they score.
- 1:08:44[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 1:08:45[SPEAKER_03]: The garbage time makes it so tough with how they score.
- 1:08:48[SPEAKER_03]: They can be shot down all game.
- 1:08:49[SPEAKER_03]: They can try out hot kind of like the same thing and get brought down like it's it's so tough.
- 1:08:54[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm going to go 31 19 just because I love to see it and I will know by next show.
- 1:08:58[SPEAKER_03]: Anybody has
- 1:08:59[SPEAKER_03]: done that in manifest room.
- 1:09:01[SPEAKER_01]: We could not wear it scores.
- 1:09:02[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, score, got me guy post the bills, Raven score.
- 1:09:04[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, he something's going out with him, man.
- 1:09:07[SPEAKER_03]: He still has nothing.
- 1:09:08[SPEAKER_01]: He's a Raven fan.
- 1:09:09[SPEAKER_03]: Well, still has a bunch of events.
- 1:09:10[SPEAKER_03]: Yesterday, he had a game.
- 1:09:12[SPEAKER_03]: He did the final of the Bears game on Sunday.
- 1:09:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because the Raven's lost and like he sat.
- 1:09:17[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's a Raven's fit.
- 1:09:19[SPEAKER_03]: And it was like, yeah, but it was like, the game was over.
- 1:09:22[SPEAKER_01]: He posted the 40 40 score got me tie the next day.
- 1:09:25[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, I mean, something's going on with him and I don't know if it's just that he's a Raven's fan, which I think it could be better than that.
- 1:09:32[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, it could also just be that something we're going to either way.
- 1:09:40[SPEAKER_00]: All right, that'll do it, folks.
