- 0:02Speaker 1: On scoring needs Australia.
- 0:05Speaker 2: This is the Wader Panalty Show.
- 0:11Speaker 3: Good evening and welcome to the readA Panekey Show. We
- 0:13Speaker 3: have a pack program for you coming up tonight. The
- 0:16Speaker 3: Albanezi government green hydrogen dreams turn into a nightmare.
- 0:20Speaker 4: Adam Crichton will be.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Here to discuss that. In the day's other top headlines,
- 0:25Speaker 3: including the West Australian Premier labeled a full great, reckless.
- 0:30Speaker 4: Attack against J D. Vans and President Donald Trump.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Army Horowitz will join me to discuss President Trump's address
- 0:37Speaker 3: to Congress and President Zelenski's backflip.
- 0:41Speaker 4: Later in the hour, D D.
- 0:42Speaker 3: Leeby will tell you what you have to know about
- 0:45Speaker 3: the tropical cyclone Alfred and left.
- 0:48Speaker 4: He's losing. It features more than one angry woman.
- 0:52Speaker 5: He's not going to be He's not going to, you know, say, oh,
- 0:55Speaker 5: you're with a white guy. I'm going to keep you
- 0:57Speaker 5: from being deport No.
- 0:59Speaker 4: You're going to pourt you and put the white guy
- 1:00Speaker 4: with someone else. The man is out there now.
- 1:04Speaker 3: We'll have the latest on President Zelenski's stunning backflip in
- 1:08Speaker 3: just a moment, But first, Australia's crime crisis is becoming
- 1:12Speaker 3: increasingly dire, including right here in Melbourne, where residents in
- 1:16Speaker 3: the bayside suburb of Brighton are banding together to hire
- 1:20Speaker 3: private security to patrol streets seven nights a week, costing
- 1:25Speaker 3: some three hundred thousand per anom. The private security push
- 1:29Speaker 3: comes after another terrifying home invasion, this time a.
- 1:34Speaker 4: Machete wielding thug.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Look at the size of that machete. These thugs broke
- 1:39Speaker 3: into our family home, stole two luxury cars, a handbag,
- 1:43Speaker 3: a wallet, garage, remotes, and even the piggy bank of
- 1:47Speaker 3: a nine year old child who was left terrified by
- 1:51Speaker 3: the ordeal.
- 1:52Speaker 4: Joining me now for more on this.
- 1:53Speaker 3: As senior fellow and chief economists at the Institute of
- 1:56Speaker 3: Public Affairs, Adam Cricht and Adam all having to pay
- 2:01Speaker 3: for their own security. It should not come to that
- 2:04Speaker 3: atom in a first world city, No.
- 2:09Speaker 1: And certainly in a state and city like Victoria and
- 2:12Speaker 1: Melbourne where the tax rates are already so high, so
- 2:15Speaker 1: people are paying through the nose for public services, and
- 2:19Speaker 1: of course that should include a good police force.
- 2:21Speaker 2: But carly that is not happening in this case.
- 2:23Speaker 1: This sto is actually a little bit personal for me too,
- 2:25Speaker 1: because I just moved to Brighton and actually some of
- 2:27Speaker 1: the locals that I've been talking to there have actually
- 2:29Speaker 1: been talking about this crime spree, and at first I
- 2:32Speaker 1: didn't believe them, but.
- 2:33Speaker 2: You know, the facts, the facts are now out there.
- 2:35Speaker 1: The other thing that I was already surprised about was that,
- 2:37Speaker 1: you know, this is a state that had absolutely no
- 2:39Speaker 1: shortage of policemen during the COVID crisis, where you know,
- 2:43Speaker 1: you couldn't even go outside without a mask on. There
- 2:46Speaker 1: were thousands of thousands offices everywhere it looked like.
- 2:48Speaker 2: So I don't think it's a lack of offices.
- 2:50Speaker 1: I just think it's a lack of concern perhaps about
- 2:53Speaker 1: certain parts of Melbourne.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Oh yeah, we had elderly women on park benches being
- 3:00Speaker 3: I asked, families at the beach for.
- 3:02Speaker 4: Not being masked.
- 3:04Speaker 3: There seem to be no shortage of police officers back then.
- 3:08Speaker 4: Now, I want to play you some video of Peter Garrett.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Of course, he disgraced himself with comments about Australia's most
- 3:16Speaker 3: successful business person.
- 3:17Speaker 4: Man or woman, Gena Reinhart.
- 3:20Speaker 3: Is said to his audience at the Perth Festival, Pretend you're.
- 3:24Speaker 4: Dancing on Gena ryan Hart's grave.
- 3:26Speaker 3: But he wasn't done. Yet let's listen to some of
- 3:29Speaker 3: the rant here now.
- 3:31Speaker 6: When I see the CEO, the Texan born CEO of Woodside,
- 3:37Speaker 6: start to gaslight the people of Western Australia by suggesting
- 3:41Speaker 6: that if you don't support and if politicians don't support
- 3:45Speaker 6: a carbon bomb on the Northwest Shelf as the oceans
- 3:48Speaker 6: are heating up and ninglu roofs going under a scott
- 3:51Speaker 6: Reefers jet jeopardized by saying that, well, in that case,
- 3:54Speaker 6: you're going to have more coal. I realized two things.
- 3:59Speaker 6: One these people have no shame whatsoever, and secondly they're wrong,
- 4:05Speaker 6: and they say the spirit and the full sightedness and
- 4:10Speaker 6: the faith in the future that people really have but
- 4:13Speaker 6: will have to fight like hell to secure it.
- 4:16Speaker 3: Adam, imagine paying good money to go to a concert
- 4:20Speaker 3: hoping to hear some tracks from the eighties, you know,
- 4:24Speaker 3: last time they produced anything worth listening to, and you've
- 4:27Speaker 3: got to listen to that die tribe and more.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Well, look, it's probably subsidized by the West Australian taxpayers
- 4:35Speaker 1: too as well, I suspect, and of course it shouldn't
- 4:37Speaker 1: be getting a cent of that. But more broader, his
- 4:40Speaker 1: comments are just absolutely atrocious. I mean extremely juvenile, extremely
- 4:43Speaker 1: unbecoming of a former cabinet minister. I mean what he
- 4:46Speaker 1: said about Gina Reinhart is absolutely awful. She's a great Australian.
- 4:49Speaker 1: She's given back so much of a time and resources
- 4:51Speaker 1: to the community. She certainly does not deserve to be
- 4:54Speaker 1: spoken about like that.
- 4:56Speaker 2: And it's just it's sad. He's obviously seeking relevance.
- 5:00Speaker 1: And I think he's just you know, he's brought shame
- 5:02Speaker 1: to that festival and I think, just as the West
- 5:04Speaker 1: Australian Premier said, you know, he's showing he's a sewing
- 5:08Speaker 1: rather the seeds of hatred and behaving in a highly disrespectful.
- 5:11Speaker 4: Way, absolutely hateful.
- 5:13Speaker 3: And yet we haven't really heard much from the so
- 5:17Speaker 3: called sisterhood who see misogyny everywhere. Tony Abbot only needs
- 5:21Speaker 3: to look at his watch and they're up in arms
- 5:23Speaker 3: about that. There's a misogynistic but these appalling comments about
- 5:28Speaker 3: Gena rein Hart, Australia's most successful business person. Garrett didn't
- 5:33Speaker 3: say anything like that about Twiggy Forest or all the
- 5:36Speaker 3: other mining billionaires who happened to be male. He had
- 5:40Speaker 3: that comment about Jena Einhart, and yet we're not seeing
- 5:44Speaker 3: these loud and proud feminists coming out and saying that
- 5:47Speaker 3: is just so hateful.
- 5:48Speaker 4: It's appalling.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Wishing death on someone saying you should dance on their
- 5:51Speaker 3: grave is not what we should be hearing from a
- 5:55Speaker 3: former minister, federal minister. And he's seventy one too. I
- 5:59Speaker 3: mean that age you would hope you'd have some sense. Now,
- 6:02Speaker 3: let's hear from WA Premier Roger Cork who made some
- 6:07Speaker 3: ill conceived comments about Donald Trump and his vice president
- 6:12Speaker 3: jd Vance.
- 6:12Speaker 4: This is at a pre election Q and A hosted
- 6:16Speaker 4: by the West Australian newspaper. Jd Vance is a knob.
- 6:27Speaker 7: Sorry, you've got to have one unprofessional moment, DJA.
- 6:31Speaker 8: That was it.
- 6:33Speaker 9: Does Donald Trump still represent a dark road for the world.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Well, I certainly think he represents an uncertain one.
- 6:39Speaker 2: So again, let me just say, at times of.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Uncertainty, you need a steady head, experience, head at the wheel.
- 6:45Speaker 3: He's comments on Donald Trump were, I guess a little
- 6:50Speaker 3: bit more, a little bit more sensible.
- 6:54Speaker 4: Still, I would say ill advised. But calling jd Vance
- 6:59Speaker 4: a knob.
- 7:00Speaker 3: You've been really it's so idiotic. He says, it was
- 7:03Speaker 3: just a light hearted thing.
- 7:05Speaker 4: It was a gibe.
- 7:06Speaker 3: It wasn't trying to be insulting, but if he hopes
- 7:09Speaker 3: for his state to do any business with America in
- 7:12Speaker 3: the next four years, I would say that is not
- 7:14Speaker 3: something a leader should be saying.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Yeah, no, that's certainly right.
- 7:20Speaker 1: I mean, just in general, I don't think state leaders
- 7:22Speaker 1: should be talking about foreign leaders or foreign policy in general.
- 7:25Speaker 2: So that's the first mistake. And then I think the
- 7:27Speaker 2: second one is the word nob. I mean, it's so crass, and.
- 7:29Speaker 1: You know, I don't think people could even agree on
- 7:31Speaker 1: what it means. So it's just a stupid word. It's
- 7:34Speaker 1: embarrassing and I wins as an Australian when I hear
- 7:37Speaker 1: those sort of comments about foreign leaders. Also, I think,
- 7:40Speaker 1: finally it's really disrespectful of the very large chunk of
- 7:43Speaker 1: Australians who quite like Donald Trump and who quite like
- 7:46Speaker 1: Jode Events and so basically the Western shown premier is
- 7:50Speaker 1: insulting them. So I think that there's this kind of
- 7:53Speaker 1: mindset in the political elite in this country that everyone
- 7:56Speaker 1: hates Donald Trump and that they can make these sorts
- 7:58Speaker 1: of jokes about Trump and Dvans that is totally not true,
- 8:01Speaker 1: and I think they will eventually get a rude shop
- 8:03Speaker 1: with the ballot.
- 8:03Speaker 3: Box and the likes of Roger Cook having a go
- 8:09Speaker 3: at JD.
- 8:10Speaker 10: Van's.
- 8:10Speaker 3: I mean, when you put those two men next to
- 8:12Speaker 3: each other, their intellect, their achievements, please you know, it's
- 8:17Speaker 3: like having an os kick kid having a go at
- 8:20Speaker 3: an AFL star. It's just a little bit, you know,
- 8:25Speaker 3: it's a little bit pathetic. But let's move on to
- 8:28Speaker 3: Ukrainian President Voldimir Zelenski. He's done a stunning one eighty.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Just yesterday we were talking about his comments. He said
- 8:37Speaker 3: the end of the Russia Ukraine war was and I
- 8:40Speaker 3: quote very very far away, but today he wants to
- 8:44Speaker 3: end the war and sign the minerals deal with the
- 8:47Speaker 3: US immediately. He also said, our meeting in Washington did
- 8:52Speaker 3: not go the way it was supposed to. It is
- 8:54Speaker 3: regrettable that it happened this way. It is time to
- 8:57Speaker 3: make things right. Adam, that's the understatement of the decade.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Well, look, I mean I think this goes to show
- 9:06Speaker 1: you the power of Donald Trump and the US president
- 9:08Speaker 1: in general. I mean, basically, he's had to come back
- 9:11Speaker 1: to Washington begging, who's had to apologize and effect and
- 9:14Speaker 1: he's going to sign this deal, although it's not clear
- 9:16Speaker 1: I think yet whether the US now wants to sign
- 9:18Speaker 1: that deal or whether they want to change the deal. Look, look,
- 9:21Speaker 1: I think you know the fact that there's a push
- 9:23Speaker 1: for peace I think is great.
- 9:24Speaker 2: That is terrific.
- 9:24Speaker 1: But I still think there's so much uncertainty on what
- 9:26Speaker 1: the Americans want, what the Russians want, and what the
- 9:29Speaker 1: Ukrainians want.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Here it's very hard to say where this is going
- 9:33Speaker 2: to land.
- 9:33Speaker 1: But I do think we all should hope that it
- 9:35Speaker 1: does land in a permanent ceasefire.
- 9:40Speaker 4: Well, yeah, absolutely, we all want to see that.
- 9:43Speaker 3: We want to see Ukraine get an advantageous steal, but
- 9:45Speaker 3: we want the killing and this war to stop. Before
- 9:49Speaker 3: you go, Adam, Revelations that another one of Chris Bowen's
- 9:52Speaker 3: climate dreams has completely crashed and burned. Ninety nine percent
- 9:57Speaker 3: of the planned one hundred billion dollar green high hydrogen
- 10:00Speaker 3: supply has failed to progress beyond the concept stage.
- 10:05Speaker 4: This is astonishing and a further blow.
- 10:07Speaker 3: None of the six projects shortlisted under the Albin Easy
- 10:11Speaker 3: government's two billion dollar green hydrogen plan are now considered
- 10:16Speaker 3: viable or bankable.
- 10:18Speaker 4: Financial sponsors have walked away.
- 10:21Speaker 3: Adam, We've got sixty one individual projects being quietly archived.
- 10:26Speaker 3: That's a nice word to say. They've been dumped anyway
- 10:30Speaker 3: you look at it. This is a disaster and expensive disaster.
- 10:36Speaker 2: It certainly is.
- 10:37Speaker 1: And look, I think sensible scientists and engineers could have
- 10:39Speaker 1: said from day one that this was never going to work,
- 10:41Speaker 1: and of course many people did say that. And now
- 10:43Speaker 1: we've fritted away billions and billions of dollars on these
- 10:45Speaker 1: pipe dreams just to fill up column inches in the
- 10:48Speaker 1: newspapers so readers can feel good about themselves that they're
- 10:50Speaker 1: supporting some sort of renewable form of energy or whatever,
- 10:53Speaker 1: a low carbon energy. You know, it's all completely nonsense,
- 10:56Speaker 1: and you know, it's just so sad that we've just
- 10:59Speaker 1: wasted so much money as a country on these things
- 11:01Speaker 1: when we neglect, you know, the proper and the best
- 11:04Speaker 1: sources of power that we have from fossil fuels, et
- 11:08Speaker 1: cetera and hopefully one day nuclear And so we've damaged
- 11:12Speaker 1: ourselves so much in doing this.
- 11:16Speaker 5: It is.
- 11:17Speaker 3: It's all self inflicted damage, very expensive self inflicted damage.
- 11:21Speaker 4: Adam Crichton, thank you.
- 11:22Speaker 3: So much for your time tonight, joining me now, is
- 11:26Speaker 3: head of advocacy at the Women's Forum Australia.
- 11:29Speaker 4: Stephanie Bastion.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Stephanie, this story beggars belief. The Sydney Local Women of
- 11:36Speaker 3: the Year twenty twenty five has apparently been awarded to
- 11:41Speaker 3: a transgender woman that is essentially, well not just essentially,
- 11:45Speaker 3: it is a man who identifies as a woman. Talk
- 11:49Speaker 3: about the patriarchy is striking again. The Local Woman of
- 11:52Speaker 3: the Year awards as a new South Wales government initiative
- 11:56Speaker 3: which allows each local MP to select a woman for
- 12:00Speaker 3: their electorate to recognize with an award, and this year
- 12:04Speaker 3: Independent MP Alex gram Greenwich announced that Brianna Skinner was
- 12:09Speaker 3: his peak, praising Skinner's contribution as a proud transgender woman
- 12:15Speaker 3: and a fierce advocate for equality and the community. Stephanie again, like,
- 12:22Speaker 3: it's it's almost done to provoke a response, isn't it.
- 12:30Speaker 9: You'd think so, Rita, And I think everyone now knows
- 12:33Speaker 9: that Alex Greenwich is an activist on this issue who
- 12:36Speaker 9: will do and take any opportunity to implement his social agenda.
- 12:41Speaker 9: I think that it's absolutely ridiculous, of course, and more
- 12:46Speaker 9: importantly it undermines the awards, which I think is really
- 12:48Speaker 9: disappointing for community.
- 12:51Speaker 4: For his community these awards.
- 12:52Speaker 9: Should mean something, and by making a by this decision,
- 12:56Speaker 9: he's undermined those awards.
- 12:58Speaker 3: Now, steph let's turn our attention to the Sydney Mardi
- 13:02Speaker 3: Gras and this photo from the event showing a man
- 13:06Speaker 3: in a well fairly bold strip of boots. I think
- 13:10Speaker 3: they're called they're pretending to spear a man dressed as
- 13:15Speaker 3: Jesus in fishnet stockings.
- 13:17Speaker 4: I mean this has understandably.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Stirred up some controversy, Stephanie, what are your thoughts?
- 13:27Speaker 4: Well, a couple of.
- 13:28Speaker 9: Weeks ago, a man in Wa was fined two thousand
- 13:32Speaker 9: dollars and ordered to pay for the five thousand dollars
- 13:34Speaker 9: in compensation for building a river a bridge over his
- 13:38Speaker 9: private creek on his private property because he disturbed the rainbow,
- 13:42Speaker 9: serpent and mythological aboriginal creature. Meanwhile, in New South Wales
- 13:48Speaker 9: you can mock Christianity. Here we have an aboriginal man
- 13:51Speaker 9: in kinky boots mocking Christ at the taxpayer's expense. I
- 13:56Speaker 9: think it shows a great double standard from the so
- 13:58Speaker 9: called diversion and inclusive crowd.
- 14:02Speaker 10: But there are greater issues.
- 14:03Speaker 9: I think with Marty Gras, there was full nudity on display,
- 14:07Speaker 9: there were sexual fetishes on display, and there was a
- 14:10Speaker 9: blatant promotion of gender ideology, which is extremely harmful to kids.
- 14:14Speaker 9: So I actually question the MPs who turned up cheering
- 14:17Speaker 9: and supporting this event, particularly Prime Minister Albanezi and the
- 14:22Speaker 9: New Southeld's Premier Christmans, because this is not appropriate for children.
- 14:26Speaker 9: Marty Gras is a radical political movement. It is not
- 14:30Speaker 9: family friendly at all and quite frankly, it should be defunded.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Well it is, and I've heard this commentary from members
- 14:39Speaker 3: of the gay community saying that he has become so pilarticized,
- 14:43Speaker 3: it's become so hard left that it is it's an
- 14:47Speaker 3: activist event masquerading as again in lesbian Marty Gras. That
- 14:51Speaker 3: seems to almost be an afterthought. It's all about the activism.
- 14:54Speaker 3: That's why they don't like to have anybody who's even
- 14:58Speaker 3: remotely on the other side of politics, because it's not
- 15:01Speaker 3: about celebrating people who identify as gain lesbian. It's about
- 15:06Speaker 3: just pushing this hard left agenda and at taxpayers expense. Now,
- 15:10Speaker 3: I'm sure you'll remember this, we discussed it on this program.
- 15:14Speaker 3: This comment from Federal Health Minister Mark Butler.
- 15:17Speaker 1: What is slabor's position on trans participation in professions.
- 15:21Speaker 11: Well, I'll have a go. Katie might want to add
- 15:23Speaker 11: to this, but this is not an issue in Australia.
- 15:29Speaker 11: We're very clear legal provisions in the Sex Discrimination Act,
- 15:33Speaker 11: Section forty two says that sporting codes are able to
- 15:38Speaker 11: put in place measures to ensure that particular sporting competitions
- 15:47Speaker 11: reserved for in this case, the case you're referring to biological.
- 15:50Speaker 3: Women, well, it actually is an issue for a number
- 15:53Speaker 3: of reasons. And Steph, you posted this ad Victorian Labor
- 15:59Speaker 3: produced share.
- 16:00Speaker 4: Let's have a quick look.
- 16:11Speaker 3: So on the one hand, they say this isn't an issue,
- 16:14Speaker 3: it's not happening, but then they're producing ads saying it's
- 16:18Speaker 3: wonderful that it's happening, it should happen more.
- 16:24Speaker 9: I know that it's absolutely ridiculous. And while you can
- 16:26Speaker 9: criticize the liberals for their inaction, Labor is actually responsible
- 16:30Speaker 9: for the confusion because prior to the twenty thirteen amendments,
- 16:34Speaker 9: where Julia Gillard amended the Sex Discrimination Act to remove
- 16:36Speaker 9: the definition of woman and to include gender identity, state
- 16:40Speaker 9: labor governments across the country from as early as two
- 16:43Speaker 9: thousand and three introduced gender identity as a protected attribute
- 16:48Speaker 9: under their sex discrimination Acts.
- 16:50Speaker 12: Now, a lot of.
- 16:51Speaker 9: These issues, particularly in community sport at a state level,
- 16:54Speaker 9: will go through state courts. There is a clear conflict
- 16:57Speaker 9: between state legislation and the Federal Act when it comes
- 17:01Speaker 9: to protecting women's sport. Here the Labor government has used
- 17:04Speaker 9: AFLW a clear example where stamina and strength would be
- 17:12Speaker 9: in contradiction to the so called protections in the Federal Act,
- 17:16Speaker 9: where it mentions those as legitimate reasons to discriminate. So
- 17:20Speaker 9: we actually need clarification. We need Peter Dutton and Anthony
- 17:24Speaker 9: Abernezi to have a policy on this or a commitment
- 17:26Speaker 9: to support Claire Chandler's Save Women's Sports bill, because the
- 17:30Speaker 9: issue is clearly there.
- 17:34Speaker 3: It is and Donald Trump has put it firmly on
- 17:37Speaker 3: their agenda. But even in the States, the Republican bill
- 17:41Speaker 3: to keep men out of women's sport was blocked in
- 17:44Speaker 3: the Senate after not having a single Democrat senator voting
- 17:49Speaker 3: for it. This is incredible because we've got around eighty
- 17:51Speaker 3: percent of Americans being in support of keeping women's sport
- 17:55Speaker 3: for biological women, even the majority of Democrats sixty seven
- 17:59Speaker 3: percent of day Democrats support that, that's according to the
- 18:02Speaker 3: New York Times, and yet the Democrat politicians refused to
- 18:07Speaker 3: vote for it.
- 18:08Speaker 13: Not a single Democrat and a United States Senate voted
- 18:12Speaker 13: to keep biological men out of women's sports. Not a
- 18:14Speaker 13: single one of these guys. So congratulations all of you.
- 18:18Speaker 13: You are with the eighteen percent who support that position.
- 18:21Speaker 13: According to the New York.
- 18:22Speaker 4: Times, incredible.
- 18:23Speaker 3: The Protection of Women and Girls in Sport Act needed
- 18:26Speaker 3: sixty votes to clear the Senate's legislative a filibuster, but
- 18:31Speaker 3: it got only fifty one because Steph, as you heard,
- 18:34Speaker 3: they're not a single Democrat backed it.
- 18:39Speaker 9: Look, the Democrats are out of touch with their base,
- 18:42Speaker 9: they're out of touch with voters, and they're out of
- 18:43Speaker 9: touch with women. It's an absolute shame that they cannot
- 18:47Speaker 9: see common sense to protect women in sport.
- 18:51Speaker 10: I mean, if you have.
- 18:51Speaker 9: A look at the issues that are coming out of America,
- 18:54Speaker 9: the injuries in volleyball and total the total discrimination and swimming.
- 19:02Speaker 9: I mean, they are just so ideological on this issue,
- 19:05Speaker 9: and I think they should be looking into their party
- 19:07Speaker 9: to see why, why will they not show common sense
- 19:11Speaker 9: on this issue. The tide has turned Donald Trump and
- 19:13Speaker 9: the Republicans won with a clear mandate to change this issue.
- 19:17Speaker 9: It just doesn't make sense.
- 19:20Speaker 3: It was certainly an election issue, and the polling after
- 19:24Speaker 3: the election showed that it was one of the top
- 19:27Speaker 3: three issues, and for independent voters is actually was the
- 19:30Speaker 3: number one issues.
- 19:31Speaker 4: These things aren't French.
- 19:33Speaker 3: People care about this, people care about fairness. And Sephanie Bastian,
- 19:37Speaker 3: we always enjoy having you on the program advocating for
- 19:41Speaker 3: women and girls.
- 19:42Speaker 4: Thanks for your time.
- 19:43Speaker 3: Still to come Lefties Losing It, Plus we dissect the
- 19:47Speaker 3: highlights of Trump's congressional address. Mihrowitz joins me. Next, you're
- 20:01Speaker 3: watching the Reader Paney Show, and it's time for Lefties
- 20:05Speaker 3: Losing It and good news. I have a view extravaganza
- 20:08Speaker 3: coming up. But first let's hear from the view's target audience.
- 20:13Speaker 3: You know, those angry, ill informed caarents. This one is
- 20:18Speaker 3: particularly Matt.
- 20:19Speaker 14: They brought Sealin Skin to the Oval office and attacked him.
- 20:24Speaker 14: And ask people who are celebrating home, you every one of.
- 20:33Speaker 3: You not actually what happened, but you know facts aren't
- 20:37Speaker 3: important to the left, as you'll see in the next
- 20:40Speaker 3: few clips.
- 20:40Speaker 4: Because it's time to check.
- 20:42Speaker 3: In with the dangerously delusional ladies of the View, and
- 20:46Speaker 3: I regret to inform you they are increasing in number.
- 20:50Speaker 8: You think about journalists, you think about the reason they're
- 20:52Speaker 8: in the press briefing, when you think about the reason
- 20:53Speaker 8: they're in the pool, it's called the protective pool. They're
- 20:55Speaker 8: thirteen members of the pool are trying not to get
- 20:57Speaker 8: to wonky here, and their job is to provide unbiased
- 21:01Speaker 8: information to the American people because of the American people
- 21:05Speaker 8: deserve that.
- 21:06Speaker 3: Yes, that's former White House Press secretary and professional liar
- 21:10Speaker 3: Kareein John Pierre.
- 21:12Speaker 4: At the View on the View desk.
- 21:14Speaker 3: I wonder is that a little bit of an audition
- 21:17Speaker 3: as for the American people deserving the truth?
- 21:21Speaker 4: You think we've forgotten this.
- 21:23Speaker 8: I've spent sometimes countless hours with him, whether it's on
- 21:27Speaker 8: the Oval office, whether it's on the road, And I
- 21:30Speaker 8: believe for me, you're asking me my personal opinion.
- 21:33Speaker 4: He is sharpe.
- 21:34Speaker 10: He is on top of things.
- 21:36Speaker 4: Sharp and on top of things. Yeah, cool story, bro.
- 21:40Speaker 3: And she repeated that liar and approximately five thousand times
- 21:44Speaker 3: in recent years. But Karein has some ways to go
- 21:48Speaker 3: to reach the derangement levels needed for a full time
- 21:52Speaker 3: gig on the View.
- 21:53Speaker 4: As a co host, can she reach that pinnacle?
- 21:56Speaker 3: The pinnacle set by Say Whoopee also known as Karen Johnson,
- 22:00Speaker 3: Yes that's her real name. Here is Karen claiming that
- 22:03Speaker 3: Donald Trump is going to break up the marriages of
- 22:07Speaker 3: white dudes.
- 22:08Speaker 4: Who've got foreign wives.
- 22:09Speaker 3: He's going to deport the wives and find new women
- 22:14Speaker 3: for the men.
- 22:15Speaker 4: He's not going to.
- 22:16Speaker 5: Be He's not going to, you know, say, oh, you're
- 22:18Speaker 5: with a white guy. I'm going to keep you from
- 22:21Speaker 5: being deported.
- 22:21Speaker 4: No, you're going to port you and put the white
- 22:23Speaker 4: guy with someone else. The man is out there.
- 22:26Speaker 3: Oh, Krine, you have a long way to go to
- 22:28Speaker 3: match it with these girls.
- 22:30Speaker 4: No, I think that audition is not going to be enough.
- 22:33Speaker 3: Now let's check on Joy Baha, who's still in denial
- 22:37Speaker 3: about Donald Trump's enormous mandate to the fact that he
- 22:40Speaker 3: won and won comfortably. And she is a schooled by
- 22:45Speaker 3: another lefty, but a relatively sane lefty in Stephen A.
- 22:49Speaker 15: Smith, going around with his cronies touting his so called
- 22:53Speaker 15: land landside and blowout when but he won the popular
- 22:57Speaker 15: vote by one point five percent one of this almost ever,
- 23:01Speaker 15: and he won the general election by less than fifty percent.
- 23:03Speaker 10: So what kind of mandate is this really?
- 23:05Speaker 16: It is a mandate, and I'm going to explain why,
- 23:07Speaker 16: and I don't mind the question, but let me be
- 23:09Speaker 16: very clear. I'm no supporter of Trump. I'm a supporter
- 23:12Speaker 16: of truth in the facts.
- 23:13Speaker 2: And here's the facts.
- 23:14Speaker 16: The man won every swing state. He increased in terms
- 23:17Speaker 16: of his vot vote to turn out in his favor.
- 23:19Speaker 16: From the standpoint of Blacks, Latinos, and young voters, he
- 23:23Speaker 16: increased his numbers in that regard. From twenty twenty, eighty
- 23:27Speaker 16: nine percent of the county shifted to the right.
- 23:31Speaker 10: That's a mandate.
- 23:33Speaker 3: The man was forced to repeat that data, to repeat
- 23:36Speaker 3: the obvious, because these ladies just cannot cope with facts.
- 23:41Speaker 16: So twenty years after they last won the popular vote,
- 23:45Speaker 16: they won the popular vote, they won the electoral college vote.
- 23:48Speaker 16: The man won every swing state, and on top of all,
- 23:50Speaker 16: eighty nine percent of the counties shift against I don't
- 23:53Speaker 16: understand how people can look at that and say there's
- 23:55Speaker 16: no mandate.
- 23:56Speaker 4: Lefty steven I.
- 23:57Speaker 3: Smith then had to jump in and correct whoopee when
- 24:00Speaker 3: she claimed that the Democrats are just for helping ordinary people.
- 24:04Speaker 3: And listen here as she confirms that all they do
- 24:08Speaker 3: on the View, All they.
- 24:09Speaker 4: Really do is just push Democrat talking points.
- 24:12Speaker 5: Let's rewind people what those you can do are making
- 24:16Speaker 5: sure that families had what they need, snap making sure
- 24:20Speaker 5: stuff is there, making sure that the America that we
- 24:24Speaker 5: all grew up in, where you could come and be
- 24:26Speaker 5: whoever you are supposed to be or want.
- 24:28Speaker 2: To be, you still have that right.
- 24:30Speaker 5: All these things are the things that the Democrats have
- 24:32Speaker 5: always said.
- 24:33Speaker 16: You brought up the message that the Democratic Party was disseminating.
- 24:36Speaker 16: I'm challenging you on that. That is not what they
- 24:38Speaker 16: were doing. I'm not talking.
- 24:41Speaker 2: We did it.
- 24:41Speaker 4: We did it. Did we didn't work out to well?
- 24:44Speaker 2: Did it? Love?
- 24:45Speaker 3: And In their latest episode, the Ladies of the View
- 24:48Speaker 3: encourage the Democrats to launch a naked protest against total
- 24:53Speaker 3: Trump's addressed to Congress.
- 24:55Speaker 5: So dear get butt naked and dance around.
- 25:00Speaker 4: What should happen?
- 25:01Speaker 5: Or should they all wait till the end? When a
- 25:04Speaker 5: freshman senator Alis slot Nek gives the Democratic response, anybody.
- 25:12Speaker 15: I think they should walk out on masks.
- 25:16Speaker 8: Naked.
- 25:16Speaker 10: I think they should work out.
- 25:18Speaker 15: I think that a picture is worth a thousand words.
- 25:21Speaker 3: Naked protests, walkouts there really are overgrown children, aren't they?
- 25:25Speaker 4: When will the mass tantrum end?
- 25:27Speaker 3: But you know, if the view ladies were really serious
- 25:30Speaker 3: about protesting Trump, that followed this next woman's example and
- 25:34Speaker 3: transform themselves into Zelenski. Watch this, Yes, she is morphing
- 25:49Speaker 3: into Zelenski in a.
- 25:51Speaker 4: Show of solidarity. I don't know a shell of lunacy.
- 25:54Speaker 4: I can't keep up with the modern left anymore. Let's
- 25:57Speaker 4: see if she manages to pull it off. Just let's
- 26:00Speaker 4: ask forward to the end. There's only so much a
- 26:02Speaker 4: lunacy I can take. Let's play the last ten seconds.
- 26:06Speaker 4: I will cry.
- 26:07Speaker 3: I stunning and brave as always. You know, the Democrats
- 26:17Speaker 3: have reached an all time low when the likes of
- 26:20Speaker 3: Casey Anthony, Yes Casey Anthony, google her if you're not
- 26:23Speaker 3: familiar with her futrid work.
- 26:26Speaker 4: When she's pushing their talking points.
- 26:29Speaker 17: As a proponent for the LGBTQ community, for a legal community,
- 26:34Speaker 17: women's rates. I feel that it's important that I use
- 26:39Speaker 17: this platform that was thrust upon me.
- 26:42Speaker 3: Let's bring in journalist and filmmaker Army. Heroid's army will
- 26:46Speaker 3: be looking at the top moments from Trump's address to
- 26:48Speaker 3: Congress today, wasn't a astonishing two hour speech.
- 26:53Speaker 4: America First, America First, all the way.
- 26:56Speaker 3: But let's start with the backflip we have seen flom
- 27:00Speaker 3: President Zelenski. Before today's address to Congress. President Trump had
- 27:05Speaker 3: two enormous wins, huge significant wins. Yesterday we were talking
- 27:11Speaker 3: on this program about the Ukrainian president saying that the
- 27:14Speaker 3: end of the war was and I quote, very very
- 27:17Speaker 3: far away. That got an immediate reaction from the White House.
- 27:21Speaker 3: And today Zelenski has had a very different message. He
- 27:25Speaker 3: now says he's ready for a piece deal and he
- 27:28Speaker 3: wants to sign that minerals deal with the US immediately.
- 27:32Speaker 4: I mean, the whole thing has been.
- 27:33Speaker 3: A disastrous miscalculation from his part, and I do wonder
- 27:38Speaker 3: whether he's going to secure the deal that was on
- 27:41Speaker 3: the table before that Oval Office tantrum.
- 27:47Speaker 7: Look, I've told you before, I'll say it again. I
- 27:50Speaker 7: am out of the business of criticizing Trump when he
- 27:53Speaker 7: makes crazy statements, right when he has, when he's putting
- 27:57Speaker 7: on the crazy, I now say, wait, let's see what
- 28:00Speaker 7: the master plan is.
- 28:02Speaker 10: Let's see where he's going here.
- 28:03Speaker 7: Okay, Look, there's this concept in wrestling and pro wrestling
- 28:07Speaker 7: called playing the heels. Right, let me tell what that means,
- 28:11Speaker 7: so in wrestling, it's all script and you have bad
- 28:14Speaker 7: guys versus good guys, right, and the bad guys called
- 28:17Speaker 7: the heel.
- 28:18Speaker 2: Now what is he doing. He understands that he has
- 28:21Speaker 2: to play.
- 28:22Speaker 7: He's leaning into the left wing narrative of him being
- 28:26Speaker 7: on the side of Putin. Why because he's not the
- 28:29Speaker 7: side of Putin knows that right, you have to understand
- 28:31Speaker 7: what's going on. Pun doesn't trust Trump. The reason why
- 28:33Speaker 7: isn't trust Trump is because Trump has been one of
- 28:36Speaker 7: the most anti Russian presidents in the history of this country. Okay,
- 28:42Speaker 7: Trump not only had sanctions on Russia, Trump also funded
- 28:47Speaker 7: he When you know, Trump says that he's right that
- 28:51Speaker 7: before him, they were giving them blankets, non essential, no weaponry.
- 28:55Speaker 7: Trump is the first person to actually give and sell
- 28:58Speaker 7: weapons to crank who fight against a Russia.
- 29:02Speaker 2: And more importantly, by.
- 29:03Speaker 7: The way, than all of those things that what Trump
- 29:05Speaker 7: did was look, Russias depended on one thing, oil natural gas.
- 29:10Speaker 7: When Trump started pumping drill baby drill, I was pumping
- 29:13Speaker 7: oil and natural gas out of our country. That dropped
- 29:17Speaker 7: the prices for those natural resources around the world, killing
- 29:22Speaker 7: the Russian economy. He was not not a pro Russian president.
- 29:27Speaker 3: So as Army, he was, he was in he was
- 29:32Speaker 3: in Germany, he was in across Europe in his first term.
- 29:36Speaker 4: Telling them stop buying Russian.
- 29:38Speaker 3: Oil, stop it being dependent on Russian energy, and they
- 29:43Speaker 3: laughed at him.
- 29:44Speaker 4: They did not listen.
- 29:45Speaker 3: But he's got what he wants, it seems now he's
- 29:47Speaker 3: got the minerals deal, we're one step closer to a
- 29:50Speaker 3: peace steal, and he's also got Europe to spend more
- 29:54Speaker 3: on defense. So it's a win on three fronts, and
- 30:00Speaker 3: another foreign policy win for the Trump administration is again,
- 30:04Speaker 3: you were one of the few political commentators, Army who
- 30:07Speaker 3: picked precisely what Trump was doing when he said he'd
- 30:10Speaker 3: take over Gaza, move out the population, rebuild it. You
- 30:15Speaker 3: understood the strategy, and overnight Arab leaders adopted an Egyptian
- 30:19Speaker 3: reconstruction plan for Gaza, and that's going to cost some
- 30:23Speaker 3: fifty three billion, and it will avoid Trump's plan of
- 30:27Speaker 3: displacing Palestinians from the area. So, as you said, Army,
- 30:34Speaker 3: it's all about outcomes.
- 30:37Speaker 7: Thank you for acknowledging that, reader. Yes, of course, that
- 30:40Speaker 7: was the place again for sports analogy. When you play sports,
- 30:46Speaker 7: when you run a play that's working. Good coaches run
- 30:49Speaker 7: it over and over and over again, and the defense
- 30:52Speaker 7: could figure out where to stop it. Okay, Trump's playbook
- 30:56Speaker 7: is go crazy, right, just do the crazy, figure out
- 31:00Speaker 7: what you're doing, and nobody has right. Otherwise the other
- 31:04Speaker 7: way they would stop it.
- 31:05Speaker 10: But they have it.
- 31:06Speaker 7: And when he said I'm gonna rebuild, and I'm gonna
- 31:09Speaker 7: throw them all out, and I'm gonna build hotels, they
- 31:12Speaker 7: believed it. What did he do he like when the
- 31:15Speaker 7: europe He got the Europeans to pay more for self defense.
- 31:17Speaker 7: When it comes to Ukraine, he now got the regional
- 31:20Speaker 7: players who have a vested interest in what's going on
- 31:23Speaker 7: to pony up the money enough. Why should America fund
- 31:27Speaker 7: this when is the the people living in the area
- 31:30Speaker 7: of to deal.
- 31:31Speaker 2: With this issue.
- 31:31Speaker 7: And now they're poning up, like you said, tens of
- 31:35Speaker 7: billions of dollars. I'll point out one quick thing is
- 31:37Speaker 7: that they're gonna They're doing the first phase is twenty
- 31:40Speaker 7: billion dollars for two hundred and twenty thousand dollars in
- 31:43Speaker 7: housing for the Palestinians, which by the way, is way
- 31:47Speaker 7: better than the sixty thousand dollars per tent. San Francisco
- 31:52Speaker 7: is gonna pay for the homeless people. For me, even
- 31:54Speaker 7: the Arabs are more effective in their spend than California
- 31:58Speaker 7: City Council is They're spending on the whole population.
- 32:03Speaker 4: Everyone's more effective than California.
- 32:06Speaker 3: Let's talk about now. Trump's address to Congress. This really
- 32:09Speaker 3: was something like I've never seen before. I've seen plenty
- 32:13Speaker 3: of addresses to Congress, plenty of State of Union addresses,
- 32:17Speaker 3: but this was just army two hours of pro America
- 32:23Speaker 3: shockun All the spirits were high. I can see we've
- 32:26Speaker 3: got our standing ovation for everybody.
- 32:29Speaker 4: Millennia got a standing ovation.
- 32:31Speaker 3: Donald Trump walked in in high spirits and he started
- 32:36Speaker 3: his speech with.
- 32:37Speaker 2: This, America is back.
- 32:45Speaker 18: Six weeks ago, I stood beneath the dome of this
- 32:49Speaker 18: capital and proclaimed the dawn of the Golden Age of America.
- 32:56Speaker 18: From that moment dawn, there's been nothing but swift and
- 32:59Speaker 18: unre lenting action to usher in the greatest and most
- 33:03Speaker 18: successful era in the history of our country. We have
- 33:08Speaker 18: accomplished more in forty three days and most administrations accomplished
- 33:14Speaker 18: in four years or eight years.
- 33:16Speaker 2: And we are just getting started.
- 33:20Speaker 3: American spirit, the confidence, the dream, and the Democrats I've
- 33:25Speaker 3: got to say, were determined to disgrace themselves.
- 33:28Speaker 4: Army, I'm interested in your take on this.
- 33:31Speaker 3: There was a loud booing at the very start that
- 33:33Speaker 3: were hissing like alley cats.
- 33:35Speaker 4: And listen to the interruption here and then.
- 33:38Speaker 3: The response from the rest of the folks there who
- 33:41Speaker 3: started a Uschad.
- 33:44Speaker 18: We won the popular vote by big numbers and one
- 33:47Speaker 18: counties in our country.
- 34:04Speaker 3: Oh, in the end, me Al Green, as we saw
- 34:07Speaker 3: there on the screen, he had to be escorted out.
- 34:09Speaker 3: I mean, it really was an unseemly little protest. Obviously
- 34:15Speaker 3: a planned little stunt. But how did you think the
- 34:18Speaker 3: Democrats went there? Because they wouldn't even clap. They wouldn't
- 34:22Speaker 3: even acknowledge all those emotional moments where there's victims of
- 34:27Speaker 3: crime there who are being acknowledged, where there's heroes being acknowledged,
- 34:31Speaker 3: where there's a little kid who's survived brain cancer and
- 34:35Speaker 3: is being made an honorary member of the Secret Service.
- 34:38Speaker 3: They couldn't even bring themselves to put a smile on
- 34:41Speaker 3: their faces and clap for that.
- 34:45Speaker 7: Yeah, Al Green be tossed out. Let's not stay together, Okay,
- 34:50Speaker 7: sorry different Al Green, I will never sing again. I'm sorry,
- 34:53Speaker 7: we don't. I'll never do that again. Look there, it
- 34:56Speaker 7: was so childlike and wilful behavior by the Democrats. I've
- 35:00Speaker 7: never seen anything like it. They brought rocks right like
- 35:05Speaker 7: a second rate herot top. I mean, it was so
- 35:08Speaker 7: weird and gross. Look, you know, in all the years
- 35:12Speaker 7: I've been seeing and by the way, you know, look,
- 35:14Speaker 7: he went through all the hits I love, I love
- 35:16Speaker 7: telepropter Trump. Right, he went through all his greatest hits
- 35:19Speaker 7: the last thirty days. And that's why I guess this
- 35:22Speaker 7: is the longest speech in the history of president talking
- 35:27Speaker 7: to to join Congress. But no, it was it was
- 35:33Speaker 7: grotesque that they could not acknowledge anything, even things they
- 35:39Speaker 7: could you would think seemingly they would agree on. Right,
- 35:42Speaker 7: he talked about how he's going against the Mexican cartels.
- 35:47Speaker 7: Dead silence, You mentioned that thirteen year old kid who
- 35:50Speaker 7: has got cancer. Silence. Look, even though I've seen when
- 35:56Speaker 7: Biden had I paid attention when Biden spoke at his
- 36:00Speaker 7: Stay of the Union, when he was introduced, you saw
- 36:02Speaker 7: the Republican stand up, but cloud because he's there present,
- 36:05Speaker 7: the Democrats could not do it. It was such a
- 36:08Speaker 7: grotesque display, a petulant behavior. And it really spoke poorly
- 36:15Speaker 7: of the party. It really did.
- 36:19Speaker 3: It did, and I think they're going to pay a
- 36:21Speaker 3: price for that. I think it was just a miscalculation. Again,
- 36:25Speaker 3: You've got to pick your battles.
- 36:27Speaker 4: And if he's.
- 36:28Speaker 3: Praising or acknowledging heroes people are universally admired or this
- 36:35Speaker 3: universal sympathy for them.
- 36:37Speaker 4: Why would you set yourself aside from that? It's just
- 36:41Speaker 4: anti American.
- 36:42Speaker 5: Now.
- 36:42Speaker 3: Trump did boast about his administration's achievements, including on the
- 36:47Speaker 3: illegal immigration crisis.
- 36:49Speaker 18: Illegal border crossings last month were by far the lowest
- 36:54Speaker 18: ever recorded ever.
- 36:58Speaker 3: And he called on the Democrats to be on the
- 37:01Speaker 3: pro America team.
- 37:03Speaker 18: And I look at the Democrats in front of me,
- 37:05Speaker 18: and I realize there is absolutely nothing I can say
- 37:09Speaker 18: to make them happy, or to make them stand or
- 37:12Speaker 18: smile or applaud Nothing I can do. I could find
- 37:17Speaker 18: a cure to the most devastating disease, a disease that
- 37:21Speaker 18: would wipe out entire nations, or announce the answers to
- 37:26Speaker 18: the greatest economy and history, or the stoppage of crime
- 37:30Speaker 18: to the lowest levels ever recorded. And these people sitting
- 37:35Speaker 18: right here will not clap, will not stand and certainly
- 37:39Speaker 18: will not cheer for these astronomical achievements. They won't do
- 37:43Speaker 18: it no matter what. Five five times I've been up here,
- 37:47Speaker 18: it's very sad.
- 37:50Speaker 3: At that shot of them sitting there with sour looks
- 37:55Speaker 3: on their faces, holding up their little signs musk steals.
- 37:58Speaker 3: I mean, really, that's about my seeing coherent saw and
- 38:01Speaker 3: I can imagine.
- 38:02Speaker 4: Amy he succeeded.
- 38:04Speaker 3: They're in painting the Democrats as being against not just
- 38:08Speaker 3: his success, but America's success.
- 38:12Speaker 7: He brilliantly put them in a box, right, He really
- 38:16Speaker 7: put them in a trap, and and and and they
- 38:20Speaker 7: they walked right into it, right, And it played out
- 38:24Speaker 7: exactly as he wanted to set out. So you know,
- 38:26Speaker 7: kudos to him. Look, if I can say one thing
- 38:29Speaker 7: positive of the Democrats, right, I guess I'm gonna try it.
- 38:31Speaker 7: Look at least Slopkin's response, I thought was one of
- 38:35Speaker 7: the better responses I've heard in a very long time.
- 38:38Speaker 2: But she stood.
- 38:39Speaker 7: What's funny was that she stood in direct contrast to
- 38:41Speaker 7: what we saw in the chamber.
- 38:42Speaker 2: That's the thing.
- 38:43Speaker 7: It didn't it didn't comport to the behavior we saw
- 38:47Speaker 7: with the Democrats. It almost sounded like she wasn't a Democrat, right,
- 38:50Speaker 7: That was that was so interesting about it. That was
- 38:53Speaker 7: not the way they were playing it. It was so
- 38:55Speaker 7: weird they had her speak. I thought she spoke well.
- 39:00Speaker 3: Well, there was a lot of standing ovations. I stopped
- 39:04Speaker 3: counting them because I lost track.
- 39:06Speaker 4: There was someone I'm sure.
- 39:08Speaker 3: Would have kept account. But Elon Musk was acknowledged. He
- 39:12Speaker 3: got a big call out. It's always that Trump is
- 39:14Speaker 3: happy to elevat him. There's no jealousy there, like the
- 39:17Speaker 3: media is pretending that there's some sort of rivalry there,
- 39:20Speaker 3: and he hates the attention Elon Musquet.
- 39:23Speaker 4: He elevates Elon Musk.
- 39:24Speaker 3: At every given opportunity, and he read out some of
- 39:28Speaker 3: the savings that Elon's team has made and some of
- 39:32Speaker 3: the programs they've asked.
- 39:34Speaker 18: Forty five million dollars for diversity, equity and inclusion scholarships
- 39:39Speaker 18: in Burma, forty million dollars to improve the social and
- 39:43Speaker 18: economic inclusion of sedentary migrants.
- 39:47Speaker 2: Nobody knows what that is.
- 39:51Speaker 18: Eight million dollars to promote LGBTQI plus in the African
- 39:58Speaker 18: nation of Lesuto, which nobody has ever heard of. Sixty
- 40:03Speaker 18: million dollars for indigenous peoples and Afro Colombian Empowerment in
- 40:09Speaker 18: Central America, sixty million dollars eight million dollars for making
- 40:14Speaker 18: mice transgender.
- 40:16Speaker 4: And he hit on the big staff.
- 40:19Speaker 3: He read out the letter from President Zelenski. It was
- 40:23Speaker 3: a very polite, respectful letter, I've got to say, very
- 40:27Speaker 3: different to his conduct in the Oval office.
- 40:29Speaker 4: So that was another big win. And we talked about DJ.
- 40:34Speaker 3: That was really I thought one of the really heartwarming
- 40:38Speaker 3: moments that.
- 40:39Speaker 4: You'll remember from this address to Congress.
- 40:42Speaker 18: Joining us at the gallery tonight is a young man
- 40:45Speaker 18: who truly loves our police.
- 40:48Speaker 2: His name is DJ.
- 40:49Speaker 18: Daniel is thirteen years old, and he has always dreamed
- 40:52Speaker 18: of becoming a police officer. Twenty eighteen, DJ was diagnosed
- 40:57Speaker 18: with brain cancer. The doctor gave him five months at
- 41:01Speaker 18: most to live. And tonight, DJ, we're going to do
- 41:05Speaker 18: you the biggest honor of them all. I am asking
- 41:08Speaker 18: our new Secret Service Director Sean Curran to officially make
- 41:13Speaker 18: you an agent of the United States Secret Service.
- 41:19Speaker 3: Oh it was adorable, and he gave a big hug
- 41:22Speaker 3: to ur to the Secret Service chief. I know you
- 41:26Speaker 3: can be rather cynical army, but even you must have
- 41:30Speaker 3: just got a warm glow watching that.
- 41:34Speaker 18: Walk.
- 41:35Speaker 7: Come on, reader, look.
- 41:39Speaker 2: I'm not mad, I'm not harmless.
- 41:41Speaker 7: I mean, look the truth.
- 41:43Speaker 3: You don't like the Democrats who sat there and refused
- 41:47Speaker 3: to clap that poor boy who has just done such
- 41:51Speaker 3: enormous work battling this awful cancer, and he's defied all
- 41:56Speaker 3: the odds, and he was so happy to be there,
- 41:59Speaker 3: and that I didn't even just put their hands together
- 42:01Speaker 3: for him.
- 42:03Speaker 2: I gotta be honest.
- 42:04Speaker 7: I was kind of jealous. I want to be a
- 42:06Speaker 7: secret service agent I love, but he was never more
- 42:10Speaker 7: than me.
- 42:10Speaker 10: So fair we all do, we all do?
- 42:14Speaker 4: Rv RB Horowitz, thank you so much for your time.
- 42:16Speaker 4: Tonight still to come.
- 42:18Speaker 3: What you need to know about tropical cyclone Alfred.
- 42:22Speaker 12: D D.
- 42:22Speaker 4: Done Levy has the details. Welcome back.
- 42:34Speaker 3: Joining me now is broadcaster and amateur meteorologist D D.
- 42:38Speaker 4: Done Levy.
- 42:39Speaker 10: D D.
- 42:39Speaker 4: You are obsessed by all things weather. I'm giving you
- 42:43Speaker 4: this title just for the night.
- 42:45Speaker 3: I don't know why you're obsessed by the weather, but
- 42:47Speaker 3: plenty of people are, and we do have a serious
- 42:50Speaker 3: situation happening right now in northern New South Wales and Queensland,
- 42:53Speaker 3: with tropical Cyclone Alfred set to hit late tomorrow early Friday,
- 42:59Speaker 3: or flights in an hour of bar and Bay have
- 43:01Speaker 3: been already canceled. They're running out of toilet paper. It's
- 43:04Speaker 3: like COVID all overing and up there, but the rest
- 43:07Speaker 3: of the country seems largely oblivious. D tell us how
- 43:11Speaker 3: serious is this tropical cyclone?
- 43:14Speaker 12: Well, the Queen's I'm Premier, David chris Off fully said,
- 43:16Speaker 12: it's not unprecedented. It is very rare and look, I
- 43:20Speaker 12: am obsessed with the weather. I'm a compulsive radar checker
- 43:23Speaker 12: when there is a.
- 43:24Speaker 10: Rain event coming.
- 43:25Speaker 12: But I'm also I don't buy into the hysteria around weather.
- 43:30Speaker 12: I do note that they have warned people to stay
- 43:32Speaker 12: away from the water because my husband's a surfer and
- 43:35Speaker 12: the first thing he said was war look at the surf.
- 43:38Speaker 12: So I think they need to stop people from going
- 43:40Speaker 12: down to the beaches and a surfing and b just
- 43:42Speaker 12: having a look at the big waves. I'm pleased to
- 43:45Speaker 12: see that the airlines appear to be doing what's reasonable.
- 43:48Speaker 12: Anyone that had booked before Monday, when it became widely
- 43:52Speaker 12: known that this storm was going to have quite an
- 43:54Speaker 12: effect on Queensland there and you'd have to check with
- 43:58Speaker 12: your own individual airline, but they're considering allowing people to move.
- 44:02Speaker 10: Or take a credit voucher.
- 44:04Speaker 12: Greyhound Australia is looking at canceling some of its services,
- 44:08Speaker 12: but it's also being I think quite accommodating to its
- 44:11Speaker 12: passengers as well.
- 44:14Speaker 10: The Batuta advocate Raader I done with the saw.
- 44:16Speaker 12: They had a headline that the supermarkets have sold out
- 44:19Speaker 12: of fake tan and teeth white.
- 44:21Speaker 3: Now, well, yes that's essential in parts of that Slavin Queensland,
- 44:28Speaker 3: I don't know. I mean, you can be critical of
- 44:30Speaker 3: those who are going over to the beach and putting
- 44:33Speaker 3: themselves at risk, but to be honest, it's probably what
- 44:35Speaker 3: I'd be doing if there were massive waves there, I'd
- 44:37Speaker 3: be wanting to have a look. Now let's get to
- 44:39Speaker 3: the celebrity and royal news. Meghan Markle's new cooking show
- 44:45Speaker 3: called With Love Meghan has just premiered on Netflix and
- 44:50Speaker 3: she surprised a private seat screening full of her fans.
- 44:54Speaker 3: Apparently Meghan Markel fans out there. Let's have a look
- 44:57Speaker 3: at that.
- 44:58Speaker 17: Okay, we have a big sippracest her for was WHNA
- 45:00Speaker 17: have been following a dig and everything else for so long?
- 45:04Speaker 18: They don't know.
- 45:04Speaker 4: I'm much.
- 45:12Speaker 3: We knew, Oh dear, Now the series has been called
- 45:16Speaker 3: an exercise in narcissism at Megan Markel, should that be Megan.
- 45:21Speaker 4: Sussex has well?
- 45:24Speaker 3: She was quick to correct actress Mindy Kaylee over her
- 45:28Speaker 3: last name.
- 45:29Speaker 13: I don't think anyone in the world knows that Megan
- 45:31Speaker 13: Michael has eaten Jack in.
- 45:33Speaker 10: The box and loves funny too. Do you keep saying
- 45:35Speaker 10: Megan Markele you know him Sussex? Now you have kids
- 45:38Speaker 10: and you go no. I share my name with my children. Yes,
- 45:42Speaker 10: and that feels so.
- 45:43Speaker 17: I didn't know how meaningful it would be to me,
- 45:46Speaker 17: but it just means so much to go.
- 45:49Speaker 10: This is our family name, Didy.
- 45:52Speaker 3: Is that that harsh called by some It wasn't from me,
- 45:55Speaker 3: just called that entire program and exercise in narcissism? Is
- 45:59Speaker 3: there a man or the content she's providing?
- 46:03Speaker 10: It is? I lasted nine minutes.
- 46:06Speaker 12: I really tried to watch this for you something I
- 46:09Speaker 12: could report back to you, and I think the only
- 46:11Speaker 12: people watching it at the moment journos who've been given
- 46:14Speaker 12: the task of.
- 46:15Speaker 10: Putting together those reviews.
- 46:17Speaker 12: There's something so fake, that little thing of her going
- 46:20Speaker 12: in to surprise people where she the little shush.
- 46:23Speaker 10: Who's she shushing me?
- 46:24Speaker 12: Sitting on my couch at home watching the video, And
- 46:27Speaker 12: then there's a very quick edit when.
- 46:28Speaker 10: She says, what did y'all think?
- 46:30Speaker 12: And then a quick edit away because I'm sure there's
- 46:32Speaker 12: just a stun silence in the room.
- 46:35Speaker 10: I've tried just a sum up what I think is wrong.
- 46:37Speaker 12: With it, and I think if you think of Nigella
- 46:39Speaker 12: during her show, she would look at the camera that
- 46:42Speaker 12: look those big brown eyes, you know, while she'd sneak
- 46:45Speaker 12: down in the middle of the night in the pajamas
- 46:47Speaker 12: and eat.
- 46:48Speaker 10: From the fridge.
- 46:49Speaker 12: Megan doesn't connect with the camera. She talks to her crew,
- 46:52Speaker 12: she is allowing the cameras to watch her, but there's
- 46:55Speaker 12: no connection. It just all fixed, feels fake. She admits
- 46:58Speaker 12: the house is fake. I won't be watching any more
- 47:02Speaker 12: than the first nine minutes that I watched. I checked
- 47:04Speaker 12: out when she started putting cut up vegetables on a
- 47:06Speaker 12: plate and giving them a fancy name, crude deity.
- 47:11Speaker 3: Ah, well, you know, thank you for taking one for
- 47:13Speaker 3: the team. Nine minutes is still nine minutes, so we
- 47:16Speaker 3: do thank you for your service now. A source qulose
- 47:21Speaker 3: to Ben Affleck has said that that he would love
- 47:24Speaker 3: another chance with ex wife Jennifer Gana, not Jennifer Lopez.
- 47:29Speaker 3: He just seems to bounce from one Jennifer to the next.
- 47:32Speaker 3: Die He's just got divorce from Jennifer Lopez. I don't
- 47:38Speaker 3: know should he tries somebody new because it hasn't worked
- 47:41Speaker 3: with these two already multiple times.
- 47:43Speaker 12: I'm going to file this story under the well load
- 47:46Speaker 12: of poppycock file.
- 47:48Speaker 10: I just think it's tabloid nonsense.
- 47:50Speaker 12: I don't think it's real and we need it's all
- 47:52Speaker 12: quoting a sauce and a close friend.
- 47:54Speaker 10: We know those people don't exist.
- 47:56Speaker 12: I don't think he's wanting to get back Ben doesn't have.
- 47:59Speaker 10: Any quote friends. No, I don't think he does. Look,
- 48:03Speaker 10: they've got three kids together.
- 48:04Speaker 12: They have to maintain a relationship, and I think that's
- 48:06Speaker 12: all that's going on between these two.
- 48:10Speaker 3: Well dd, that's what we love you. You separate the
- 48:14Speaker 3: scuttle butt from the real stuff with substance. Dedie done, Levy,
- 48:18Speaker 3: Thank you so much for your time tonight. Thanks DA,
- 48:21Speaker 3: and that's it from me. Up next is Newsnight. I'll
- 48:24Speaker 3: see you at eleven tomorrow.
- 48:25Speaker 4: Good Night,
