  Romans chapter 13 Let us pray, our Father, who is in heaven,

  holy is your name, your Kingdom come, and your will be done here
• 0:15
  on this earth, just as it is there in heaven.
• 0:18
  Give us this day Our Daily Bread, and forgive us for our
• 0:22
  sins as we forgive those who sin against us.
• 0:26
  God, lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from
• 0:30
  the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, and
• 0:34
  the power and the glory forever. Amen.
• 0:41
  Let's start in verse one. Let every soul be subject unto
• 0:47
  the higher powers, for there is no power but of God.
• 0:52
  The powers that be are ordained of God.
• 0:56
  So we just left a bunch of spiritual platitudes back in the
• 1:00
  last chapter, and then here the rubber hits the road.
• 1:04
  And this is what he was talking about when he said to live
• 1:09
  peaceably with others if possible, showing us this.
• 1:13
  Sometimes it is not possible. The spirit of the Antichrist has
• 1:18
  already gone out into the world. The evil is increasing in the
• 1:23
  world, friends. And what you need to know is
• 1:27
  that Jesus said when he comes back, will he even find faith on
• 1:31
  this earth? Because of the increase of evil,
• 1:34
  the love of most will grow cold. And so there are checks and
• 1:40
  balances when it comes to evil in this world.
• 1:44
  And it is a great deterrent for those who are borderline and
• 1:48
  they are teeter tottering on whether to give themselves over
• 1:52
  completely to a debased reprobate mind.
• 1:56
  And that is what you need to know, is that the law is there,
• 2:00
  the courts are there, the enforcement is there for a
• 2:04
  reason. And the lawless one hates it.
• 2:08
  The lawless one who is to be revealed is the anarchy.
• 2:12
  It is the chaos friends, and you see it in a law out of this
• 2:18
  world. You see it rearing and rising up
• 2:21
  and showing its ugly head friends, but just know with God
• 2:26
  there is order and just know with God there is justice and
• 2:30
  just know with God. He desires for us to live
• 2:34
  peaceably amongst one another. But when those choose to be
• 2:39
  influenced and be possessed and to be used by the devil to do
• 2:48
  his bidding, there will be the ramifications and they are
• 2:53
  needed. Friends, just so you know.
• 2:56
  So that is why we subject ourselves to the authorities
• 3:00
  that are over us. We are not just sovereign
• 3:02
  citizens that get to call our own shots and do whatever we
• 3:06
  want to do. We will always obey the law
• 3:11
  until the law goes against the word of God, and there is no
• 3:16
  true law without the word of God.
• 3:20
  The Word of God is what gives us all of our laws.
• 3:23
  And so whenever there is an attack on the Word of God, it is
• 3:28
  not from Him. It is of a devil.
• 3:32
  It is of a satanic attack. Whenever we're trying to get
• 3:37
  around the laws of God, the Judeo-christian laws, the Mosaic
• 3:42
  laws that were given, and we need to know that capitable
• 3:46
  punishment is acceptable in God's sight.
• 3:49
  And it's better to enter into heaven with one arm or with one
• 3:53
  eye than it is to go to hell with both arms or both eyes,
• 3:58
  Friends. And God shows us time and time
• 4:00
  and time again, Old Testament and New Testament alike, that He
• 4:06
  uses all of the authority that is in the land as His tools to
• 4:16
  exact His punishment upon others.
• 4:20
  And it is not an easy or light duty whenever you know that you
• 4:25
  are a minister of God in the justice of dealing with all of
• 4:32
  the evil in the world. It is a grave responsibility for
• 4:36
  those in that position and we pray for them earnestly and we
• 4:44
  do not complain about the taxes, we do not complain about the
• 4:49
  laws of the land because they're there for a reason, as long as
• 4:53
  they are in accordance and in line with the word of God.
• 4:56
  If you are doing everything legally and lawfully, you do not
• 5:01
  need to be afraid of law enforcement.
• 5:06
  It is a great indicator that of your depravity and your
• 5:12
  sinfulness that you try to refute and try to get around law
• 5:20
  enforcement. And just know, friends, that in
• 5:25
  the end there will be order. And in the end, God's way is for
• 5:30
  us to live at peace and not to have to be afraid of our
• 5:35
  neighbors and not to have to look over our shoulder, friends,
• 5:40
  and just know that that is God's way.
• 5:42
  And we pray for all those in those positions to whosoever
• 5:50
  therefore resists the power, resists the ordinance of God.
• 5:54
  And they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
• 5:59
  So that's it, friends, don't resist God.
• 6:02
  Don't resist God's way. Don't resist those that he has
• 6:05
  placed in power. And just know, you can see
• 6:08
  throughout Scripture that that sometimes God puts people in
• 6:12
  power that are ignoramus, ignorant people.
• 6:16
  They're evil people. And it is for the retribution of
• 6:21
  all of the backsliding sinfulness of that nation.
• 6:26
  God puts people in positions and sometimes they are not godly.
• 6:33
  And it is a judgment upon a land, these leaders who are
• 6:39
  incapable of doing the right things, our judgment upon lands
• 6:46
  for turning their backs on God. And you see it time and time and
• 6:50
  time again in history. And God's ways are not our ways.
• 6:55
  Don't send yourself into damnation by shaking your fist
• 6:59
  at God and by trying to bring God into the courtroom or
• 7:03
  calling God into question. Friends, all we do is we get out
• 7:07
  of our own way. We say yes and Amen to all of
• 7:10
  God's ways, whether that is an incapable leader or whether that
• 7:15
  is a godly leader. We just say yes and Amen.
• 7:18
  And that is not a blanket statement.
• 7:20
  That is not blind faith, that is rooted and grounded in the Word
• 7:24
  of God, knowing that sometimes His judgment comes in these
• 7:29
  wicked leaders. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but
• 7:36
  to the evil. Will you then not be afraid of
• 7:41
  the power? Do that which is good, and you
• 7:44
  shall have praise of the same. So that is what you need to know
• 7:49
  is that those that are put in power, as long as you were doing
• 7:53
  the right legal requirements of the land, you do not have
• 7:56
  anything to fear, friends. And it is only whenever wicked
• 8:01
  evil leaders try to pass laws that are against the Word of God
• 8:05
  that we rebel, and then we do not even fear then, because they
• 8:11
  can only kill the body, and they do not have the power to send us
• 8:16
  into eternal damnation. That is the only one that we
• 8:20
  fear. We fear God friends, and
• 8:22
  everything else bows to Him for, for he is the minister of God to
• 8:28
  you for good. But if you do that which is
• 8:31
  evil, be afraid, for he bears not the sword in vain, for he is
• 8:36
  the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that
• 8:41
  does evil. That is why we have military,
• 8:43
  that is why we have the police, that is why we have all the law
• 8:48
  enforcement friends. It is to curb the evil that is
• 8:52
  in the world is just so you know, we'll never finally do
• 8:56
  away with it until we get to new heaven and new Earth and New
• 8:59
  Jerusalem. Friends, we're never going to be
• 9:02
  completely free from it because God said it was so.
• 9:06
  And that's why we believe it. And that settles it.
• 9:09
  But what you need to know is it is a great deterrent for those
• 9:13
  who are even thinking about doing these random acts of
• 9:17
  violence and all the things that we see creeping up into our
• 9:22
  world. We do not fear those things.
• 9:25
  We're headed from glory to glory, Hallelujah.
• 9:28
  But just know that God is the one that puts them into office
• 9:31
  and God is the one who has ordained law enforcement.
• 9:35
  And we, we do not need to be the ones on the side of trying to
• 9:40
  get rid of it. That is satanic at its core. 5
• 9:45
  Wherefore you must needs be subject, not only for wrath but
• 9:49
  also for conscience sake. So be subject to those that are
• 9:53
  in power over you. And it is rebellion that gets us
• 9:58
  to the place where we want to get out from underneath
• 10:01
  authority and that is not from God.
• 10:03
  God is our authority and we love authority and we support
• 10:07
  authority and we pray for the authority knowing that they will
• 10:11
  have to answer to a higher degree and those who are under
• 10:15
  the authority and for our own conscience sake.
• 10:19
  So you're not running scared, You need to submit to them 6 for
• 10:24
  this cause. Pay you tribute also, for they
• 10:27
  are God's ministers attending continually upon this very
• 10:31
  thing. Don't be the one who tries to
• 10:35
  fudge the numbers when it comes to the taxes.
• 10:37
  Don't be a sovereign citizen thinking that you don't have to
• 10:41
  pay the taxes to the government that you belong to.
• 10:45
  Just do it with a cheerful heart, knowing that it goes to
• 10:48
  things that you use every day, not worrying about it, That they
• 10:53
  are accountable unto God. And God sees everything, and he
• 10:57
  pulls people out of office and he puts others into office.
• 11:01
  And it's all in accordance with this plan.
• 11:03
  And his ways are not our ways. His thoughts are much higher
• 11:06
  than our thoughts. And we sit here in our own
• 11:12
  little life, and we don't have to worry about all of the bigger
• 11:17
  things. And we give that over and we
• 11:19
  just say yes and Amen to God's ways that He is performing all
• 11:24
  around us each and every day. And there is such peace in a
• 11:28
  very simplified life. And if you find yourself in an
• 11:32
  elevated position, we pray for you, because we know that that
• 11:37
  brings so much responsibility. 7 Render, therefore to all their
• 11:48
  dues, tribute to whom tribute is due, custom to whom custom, fear
• 11:52
  to whom fear, honor to whom honor.
• 11:55
  That's what Jesus Christ himself told us.
• 11:58
  Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's, but render unto God
• 12:01
  what is God's. And he did not in that little
• 12:06
  quote. He did not tell us that we are
• 12:09
  only to serve the higher things, but He knows that we have all of
• 12:15
  these earthly things to attend to as well.
• 12:19
  And blessed are the balance that understand both the Mary and the
• 12:23
  Martha, the faith and the works together.
• 12:27
  Blessed are they who understand these principles.
• 12:30
  That is not just one or the other, but it is both.
• 12:33
  Friends 8 Oh no man anything but to love one another, for he that
• 12:42
  loves another has fulfilled the law.
• 12:45
  So that is the greatest thing that we are to give to others
• 12:50
  freely, because we have received freely this love, friends.
• 12:56
  And you can see here that God's plan for you is that you are not
• 13:02
  in a perpetual state of indebtedness to anyone that you
• 13:06
  are to be free and who the sunsets free is free indeed.
• 13:11
  Don't make a prison for yourself that you have to live in and
• 13:15
  your day-to-day lifestyle of being overwhelmed by all the
• 13:20
  things and possessions and materials of this life.
• 13:24
  Be content friends. Be content with what the Lord
• 13:28
  has given you except your lot in life, and love the Lord God with
• 13:33
  all your heart and mind and strength while you're still
• 13:36
  young. There's nothing better than
• 13:37
  this. 9 For this you shall not commit adultery, you shall not
• 13:46
  kill, you shall not steal, you shall not bear false witness,
• 13:52
  you shall not covet. And if there be any other
• 13:58
  commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying,
• 14:01
  namely, you shall love your neighbor as yourself.
• 14:06
  So there it is, It's love, love and more love.
• 14:09
  And we can see that love covers a multitude of sins.
• 14:12
  And you can see here that that is God's plan for us.
• 14:17
  And He told us to love the Lord your God with all your heart and
• 14:21
  all your mind and all your strength, and love your neighbor
• 14:24
  as yourself. And all of the law, every single
• 14:27
  bit of it is wrapped up in those two.
• 14:31
  And if we'll do those two, then we will not be satisfying the
• 14:35
  lusts of the flesh. 10 Love works no I'll to his neighbor.
• 14:42
  Therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
• 14:45
  That's the whole crux of the whole matter of the whole
• 14:48
  situation. When you feel this hatred and
• 14:51
  vile and this toxic thinking, start filling your brain and
• 14:57
  filling your body. Start praying for your neighbor.
• 15:01
  Love them and watch how all of that hatred dispels.
• 15:06
  Watch how you are filled with God's presence whenever you
• 15:11
  start praying for your neighbor and loving them as yourself. 11
• 15:18
  And that knowing the time that now it is high time to awake out
• 15:24
  of sleep for now, is our salvation nearer than when we
• 15:29
  believe. That's eschatology in a
• 15:31
  nutshell, friends. We're closer today than we were
• 15:35
  yesterday, and you do not know the hour when Jesus Christ will
• 15:41
  return. You do not know the hour of the
• 15:44
  rapture of the church. We need to make sure that we are
• 15:48
  like the bride waiting upon her groom.
• 15:52
  We need to make sure we have made ourselves ready.
• 15:55
  We are awake and we are watching and we are found doing what it
• 15:59
  is that he has called us into. We're not serving self and
• 16:02
  serving vanity. We're not serving mammon
• 16:05
  friends. That is what you need to know is
• 16:09
  that we wait patiently upon our groom because he's going to come
• 16:13
  back at the sound of a trumpet, the voice of an Archangel.
• 16:20
  You need to know it's instantaneous.
• 16:22
  He's coming back like a thief in the night, and no one knows that
• 16:26
  hour. But we make ourselves ready and
• 16:28
  we stay awake. Friends, we do not fall asleep.

  Do not be unwise, virgins, friends. 12 The night is far
• 16:40
  spent, the day is at hand. Let us therefore cast off the
• 16:44
  works of darkness and let us put on the armor of light.
• 16:48
  Get in the boat, get in. Jesus Christ, friends, He is the
• 16:52
  armor of light. And we don't just put it on to
• 16:56
  take it back off. We stay in it, friends, Stay in
• 16:59
  that armor. Get out of darkness.
• 17:02
  Get out of all the evil that is trying to easily entangle us,
• 17:07
  and it's in our phones and it's in our houses and it's in our
• 17:11
  cars and workplaces and it's all around us.
• 17:14
  Everywhere we go, this evil's trying to overtake us.
• 17:18
  And it's subtlety and it's deception.
• 17:21
  But if we have this armor of light, then we do not have to
• 17:24
  worry about it overtaking us, friends.
• 17:29
  And we can see that we are near today than we were yesterday.
• 17:32
  You could see it's high time, friends, for the Lord's return.
• 17:37
  Do not be caught off guard. 13 Let us walk honestly as in the
• 17:43
  day, not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering
• 17:48
  and wanting this, not in strife and envying. 14 will end here,
• 17:54
  but put you on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for
• 18:00
  the flesh to fulfill the lusts thereof.
• 18:05
  He tells us what to stay away from.
• 18:08
  Let's be godly, let's practice humility.
• 18:14
  Let's be honest in all of our dealings and have integrity.
• 18:20
  Let's love and love well, because we are loved.
• 18:29
  And let's put on that armor of light.
• 18:32
  Let's get in Jesus Christ. We will not fulfill all the
• 18:38
  lusts of the flesh, lusts of the eyes, and the pride of life that
• 18:42
  is not from God. Walk in the Spirit today.
• 18:45
  Take every thought captive today.
• 18:49
  Pray about everything. Rejoice always.
• 18:52
  Pray without stopping, friends, and you're going to find the
• 18:56
  abundant life. Come in.
• 18:58
  You're going to find the fullness of the Holy Spirit,
• 19:00
  friends, You're going to find that heaven has come to earth
• 19:03
  today and He has formed a hedge of protection around you.
• 19:07
  And everywhere you go is holy ground.
• 19:10
  And you are a peacemaker and more than a conqueror.
• 19:14
  Stay prayed up today. I hope you've been blessed by
