A heartbreaking tragedy struck Co. Cavan this week when a young girl died from injuries sustained in a fatal car crash on the R162 at Corclare. The collision involved a car and a flatbed van; the driver, a woman in her fifties, died at the scene. The girl, a passenger, was rushed to Temple Street Hospital but succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday afternoon.
