  Speaker 1: chapter number three, verse number six today. I'm calling this

  Speaker 1: one Promise in Christ. Promise in Christ. The reminder for today,

  Speaker 1: You are included in the promise through Christ. You want

  Speaker 1: to receive the things of God in your life? You
• 1:26
  Speaker 1: have to receive those things through Christ. Every other way

  Speaker 1: is just a religious way, right? You'll become a religionist

  Speaker 1: if you try to do things according to your own

  Speaker 1: tradition or to your own religion. You'll become a religionist

  Speaker 1: and religionists are not part of what God's plan is

  Speaker 1: for your life and for my life. Amen. So let's

  Speaker 1: have said yes to you, those who call upon your name, Jesus,

  Speaker 1: to be saved. Thank you for including us in your promise.

  Speaker 1: I pray, Lord God, a hedge of protection over myself,
• 2:28
  Speaker 1: over my family. over our children, grandchildren, whole entire bloodline.

  Speaker 1: And I pray the same protection over every single person
• 2:37
  Speaker 1: that's listening and watching, that their families and their bloodline
• 2:41
  Speaker 1: will be protected, guided, and guarded as well. We set
• 2:44
  Speaker 1: forth your awkward angels, Lord God, to annihilate the tactics
• 2:47
  Speaker 1: and plans of the enemy. And I thank you, Lord God,
• 2:50
  Speaker 1: because of your promise, your work fulfilled on the cross,
• 2:54
  Speaker 1: because of your finished work, we are benefiting all for
• 2:57
  Speaker 1: the promise of God. I pray, Lord God, that you

  Speaker 1: will continue to teach us, inspire us, fill us with
• 3:03
  Speaker 1: your spirit so we can move accordingly to your word.

  Speaker 1: I pray, Lord God, that you will continue to magnify yourself,

  Speaker 1: glorify yourself in these morning devos so that way your

  Speaker 1: word will become relevant to our everyday plans and our

  Speaker 1: everyday life and that you will help us with a

  Speaker 1: greater measure of faith. Help us not doubt and help

  Speaker 1: us to apply your word in our daily lives in

  Speaker 1: a powerful and matchless, highest name above every name, the

  Speaker 1: name of Jesus, I pray this by faith. And those
• 3:33
  Speaker 1: who agree, we say amen to the amen. So let's
• 3:36
  Speaker 1: go for it. Let's get into the scripture for this morning.

  Speaker 1: Ephesians chapter number six, verse number, no, chapter number three,
• 3:46
  Speaker 1: verse number six. Let's get this right. Ephesians three and six.

  Speaker 1: And here's the scripture here. Amen. Now, There's a context here.

  Speaker 1: So you have to read a little bit before this verse,
• 4:02
  Speaker 1: why the apostles saying it this way. Amen. But this
• 4:05
  Speaker 1: is what stuck out to me. And this is what
• 4:06
  Speaker 1: I believe Holy Spirit wanted us to learn today. This
• 4:11
  Speaker 1: mystery is that through the gospel, the Gentiles are fellow heirs,
• 4:18
  Speaker 1: fellow members of the body and fellow partakers of the
• 4:23
  Speaker 1: promise of in Christ Jesus. Very important that we know
• 4:28
  Speaker 1: that this is all in Christ Jesus. Mystery of the gospel,
• 4:34
  Speaker 1: the Gentiles, that means the people who are outside of
• 4:39
  Speaker 1: the Hebrew community, we, myself included, are fellow heirs, fellow
• 4:48
  Speaker 1: members of the body, and fellow partakers. We share in
• 4:54
  Speaker 1: the promise of God in Christ Jesus. In Christ Jesus.

  Speaker 1: We're going to break this down. At least I'm going
• 5:02
  Speaker 1: to try my best, but I'm relying on Holy Spirit
• 5:04
  Speaker 1: to move. So it really don't have really no bearings
• 5:08
  Speaker 1: on me. We're going to understand this according to how
• 5:11
  Speaker 1: the Lord wants us to understand this by way of
• 5:14
  Speaker 1: His Holy Spirit. My faith, at least to this point,
• 5:19
  Speaker 1: is that courageous. My faith is so strong. intense when
• 5:23
  Speaker 1: it comes to sharing God's word because I rely on
• 5:26
  Speaker 1: him to share it. To me, it's a simple idea, amen,
• 5:31
  Speaker 1: to allow Holy Spirit to move accordingly. So that way
• 5:35
  Speaker 1: I move myself out the way, amen. I'm not a
• 5:38
  Speaker 1: Bible scholar. I'm not a theologian. I don't have letters
• 5:43
  Speaker 1: after my name or before my name, amen. I never
• 5:46
  Speaker 1: went to school per se. I took some courses in Bible,
• 5:51
  Speaker 1: but Holy Spirit is the all-knowing God Spirit who teaches
• 5:56
  Speaker 1: and leads us into all truth. So that's who I
• 5:59
  Speaker 1: rely on. That's who you should rely on when you're
• 6:01
  Speaker 1: reading the scripture and you're learning. Just give him your time. Amen.

  Speaker 1: Open up your ears. Open up your heart to what
• 6:08
  Speaker 1: the word of God is saying. Amen. To what the
• 6:11
  Speaker 1: word of God is saying. So God's promise in Christ.

  Speaker 1: to touch that. And one day, hopefully, amen, I'll get

  Speaker 1: into the book of Romans, Lord willing, right? If I

• 6:43
  Speaker 1: the book of Ephesians. Brother Frank, I see you. Good morning.

  Speaker 1: Bless you. So listen, God's promise in Christ, remember to
• 6:59
  Speaker 1: make sure we know that it's in Christ, the promise

  Speaker 1: is not reserved for a select few. I know a
• 7:04
  Speaker 1: lot of people are thinking only for the Jews, right?
• 7:08
  Speaker 1: Only for the select amount of Jews, but this is
• 7:11
  Speaker 1: the mystery of the gospel that we got included. Gentiles
• 7:15
  Speaker 1: got included. Through Jesus, we are invited. This is an
• 7:19
  Speaker 1: open invitation to, into God's family, right? Open invitation to
• 7:24
  Speaker 1: be part of God's body and given a share in
• 7:29
  Speaker 1: his promises. In his promises, right? Not in my promise,
• 7:34
  Speaker 1: not in your promise, not the promise of your family,
• 7:36
  Speaker 1: not a promise of your boss or whoever. It's the
• 7:39
  Speaker 1: promise of God. So your past can't disqualify you. Thank you, Jesus, right?

  Speaker 1: I'm like, Thank God that my past doesn't disqualify me
• 7:50
  Speaker 1: because if it did, I'll be in a world of
• 7:52
  Speaker 1: trouble right now. And I think so with you, right?
• 7:55
  Speaker 1: Your background doesn't separate you from God. Isn't that crazy?

  Speaker 1: Like in this world, you're full out of application. I
• 8:03
  Speaker 1: just met a young guy. Well, he's younger than me.
• 8:07
  Speaker 1: Let's put it like that. I was doing ride share,
• 8:10
  Speaker 1: picked him up, and he's having problems or troubles getting
• 8:13
  Speaker 1: a job because he's blind in one eye and he's
• 8:16
  Speaker 1: a felon. Right. And he did some time in prison.
• 8:19
  Speaker 1: And he said every time he goes to do a
• 8:22
  Speaker 1: job interview, his background check comes up and his disability is,
• 8:27
  Speaker 1: you know, amplified and people are not hiring him. So,
• 8:31
  Speaker 1: you know, Jabro did. Right. I listened to his story,
• 8:34
  Speaker 1: his background, a lot of jail time. Right. But he's
• 8:38
  Speaker 1: trying to make things right in his life. So right
• 8:42
  Speaker 1: when we parked, I said, you mind if I pray
• 8:45
  Speaker 1: for you, man? prayed for him and I reminded him
• 8:48
  Speaker 1: that the promises of God are available to him. Yes,
• 8:50
  Speaker 1: he did some things. I don't want to discuss it now,
• 8:53
  Speaker 1: but it was heavy. He did some things in life
• 8:55
  Speaker 1: that weren't right, but now I could tell from how
• 8:59
  Speaker 1: he was expressing his remorse of what he did, but
• 9:02
  Speaker 1: the time he spent in jail, I think God's working
• 9:06
  Speaker 1: on his heart. So I'm going to continue to pray
• 9:08
  Speaker 1: for him, but it's an open invitation. That's why a
• 9:11
  Speaker 1: lot of people don't agree with the gospel because they're like,
• 9:14
  Speaker 1: what do you mean? God will forgive you for doing
• 9:17
  Speaker 1: all those things. What do you mean that all you
• 9:20
  Speaker 1: have to do is call upon the name of the
• 9:21
  Speaker 1: Lord Jesus Christ, believe in your heart, right? Confess with
• 9:24
  Speaker 1: your mouth that Jesus is Lord and you will be saved.
• 9:28
  Speaker 1: How is it that easy people to say? I used
• 9:30
  Speaker 1: to be that person. I'd be like, there's no way.
• 9:32
  Speaker 1: Before Christ saved me, I used to be like, I
• 9:35
  Speaker 1: used to tell all my boys, there's no way that
• 9:37
  Speaker 1: we could be included in this promise of God. There's
• 9:39
  Speaker 1: no way that Jesus Christ died on that cross for us.
• 9:43
  Speaker 1: There's no way that he could change us. and transfer
• 9:46
  Speaker 1: us into the kingdom of God. We all agree on that.
• 9:51
  Speaker 1: And so I had a personal encounter with him. And
• 9:54
  Speaker 1: so you had a personal encounter with God. Then you
• 9:56
  Speaker 1: started realizing, wow, this is true. God could really change.
• 10:00
  Speaker 1: your life, change your heart, change your attitude, give you
• 10:02
  Speaker 1: a new start, forgive you for your sins. And then
• 10:05
  Speaker 1: from that point on, you'll be having an incredible relationship
• 10:10
  Speaker 1: with the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings
• 10:12
  Speaker 1: and the God of heaven and earth, the God who
• 10:14
  Speaker 1: moves everything forward and makes everything new. It doesn't matter
• 10:18
  Speaker 1: about your past, even though your past will have consequences.
• 10:22
  Speaker 1: I always remind people, God, yeah, he doesn't determine your
• 10:27
  Speaker 1: salvation based on your past, but there are consequences that remain.
• 10:32
  Speaker 1: Everybody I know and everybody you know can testify that
• 10:35
  Speaker 1: because of what we did in the past, there's consequences
• 10:38
  Speaker 1: for that. And we're living with that today. But God's
• 10:41
  Speaker 1: grace covers that. God's love covers that. Amen. God's word
• 10:44
  Speaker 1: covers that. So we are invited into God's family Everybody
• 10:49
  Speaker 1: could be a part of this, could be part of
• 10:51
  Speaker 1: his body, right? And then we could have a share
• 10:55
  Speaker 1: in his promises, a share in his promises. And to me,
• 11:00
  Speaker 1: that's good news because, wow, we have somebody that's accusing
• 11:05
  Speaker 1: us all the time. He's always accusing the brethren of
• 11:09
  Speaker 1: God's body. He's always accusing the church. That's the devil,
• 11:13
  Speaker 1: formerly known as Lucifer, Satan. the deceiver. He's always pointing
• 11:18
  Speaker 1: fingers at our past. Notice that he doesn't really know
• 11:22
  Speaker 1: our future. And I know I hear people saying, I
• 11:25
  Speaker 1: don't agree, but I understand what they're trying to say. That,
• 11:29
  Speaker 1: you know, God's plan over your life is revealed to
• 11:34
  Speaker 1: the devil. And somehow he's trying to stop us from
• 11:37
  Speaker 1: God's plan because he knows what's going to happen in
• 11:40
  Speaker 1: the future. I don't agree with that. I don't think
• 11:43
  Speaker 1: the devil knows anything about our future. He knows his
• 11:46
  Speaker 1: future and he knows his time is limited. So he's
• 11:48
  Speaker 1: just shooting fiery darts like randomly at everybody, at all
• 11:54
  Speaker 1: God's creations to see who he's going to hit. So
• 11:57
  Speaker 1: you get those phone calls on your phone, right? These
• 12:00
  Speaker 1: random calls, I get them all day. Lord Jesus, help me.
• 12:04
  Speaker 1: I get calls all day from telemarketers. People want to
• 12:07
  Speaker 1: take surveys. People say that I have, oh, you just
• 12:10
  Speaker 1: have to apply for money and it's waiting for you
• 12:12
  Speaker 1: and all that stuff. All day, the randomness. They must
• 12:15
  Speaker 1: call thousands upon thousands of people every day to see
• 12:19
  Speaker 1: who's going to grab onto those things. I believe the
• 12:22
  Speaker 1: randomness of the fiery darts or the arrows that the
• 12:26
  Speaker 1: devil throws our way and his demonic influence throws our way.
• 12:30
  Speaker 1: They're random shots. They're trying to hit whatever they can get, right?
• 12:35
  Speaker 1: So your past doesn't disqualify you. When life makes you
• 12:40
  Speaker 1: feel like you're forgotten, like, yeah, God forgot about me.
• 12:44
  Speaker 1: There's people who feel like that right now. We come
• 12:47
  Speaker 1: against that feeling in the name of Jesus. Thank you,
• 12:49
  Speaker 1: Lord God, for being with every single one of us,
• 12:52
  Speaker 1: especially those who are brokenhearted, especially those who are disappointed
• 12:56
  Speaker 1: in life. Because the Bible says that you are closest
• 12:59
  Speaker 1: to the brokenhearted. So when life makes you feel forgotten, right?
• 13:04
  Speaker 1: Remember this. God himself has not left you outside of
• 13:10
  Speaker 1: the promise. Like, he's not looking at us like, oh,
• 13:13
  Speaker 1: poor guy, let me move on to the next one. No,
• 13:15
  Speaker 1: God is concerned with our concerns. God hurts when his
• 13:20
  Speaker 1: creation hurts. God is there, Jehovah Shammah, the God who
• 13:24
  Speaker 1: is there and the God who is here. He's in
• 13:26
  Speaker 1: your situation and he's in my situation. Amen? Through Christ,
• 13:30
  Speaker 1: we all belong. Through him. Now, I'm not going to
• 13:34
  Speaker 1: say something generic and be like, we're all God's children. Yes.
• 13:40
  Speaker 1: And In a way, we are. We're created in his image.
• 13:44
  Speaker 1: But only Jesus Christ gives us the right to be
• 13:47
  Speaker 1: called children of God. So therefore, if you're not in Christ,
• 13:52
  Speaker 1: then you cannot say that you're a child of God.
• 13:54
  Speaker 1: It's his word. You can look it up for yourself. Amen?
• 13:59
  Speaker 1: So this mystery through the gospel, right, is that through
• 14:04
  Speaker 1: the gospel, we are all included, right? We are all included.
• 14:09
  Speaker 1: And that's the mystery. You have to read, you know,
• 14:12
  Speaker 1: just read the Ephesians chapter three, the whole chapter to
• 14:15
  Speaker 1: get this in context. But this verse stuck out to
• 14:18
  Speaker 1: me and like grabbed me. I was like, it's mystery
• 14:20
  Speaker 1: through the gospel. I was like, yeah, I'm part of
• 14:23
  Speaker 1: that mystery. You're part of that mystery if you're not
• 14:26
  Speaker 1: a Hebrew or if you're not Jewish. Amen. We are
• 14:29
  Speaker 1: outside of the Jewish community. I'm outside of the Jewish community.
• 14:33
  Speaker 1: So therefore, we're considered Gentiles. I know theologians say more.
• 14:39
  Speaker 1: It's more than that. And I understand it's more than that.
• 14:42
  Speaker 1: But for the idea that we're really going through right
• 14:46
  Speaker 1: now is that those who are outside of the chosen
• 14:51
  Speaker 1: just say, we're invited as well. How about that? Our
• 14:55
  Speaker 1: names are written in the Lamb's book of life. Once
• 14:59
  Speaker 1: he comes into our heart, into our life, and we say, yes, Lord, right?
• 15:04
  Speaker 1: Change me. Then we're written in that book of life. So,
• 15:10
  Speaker 1: You know, be confident in your walk with Christ. A
• 15:13
  Speaker 1: lot of people say being Christian is not easy. I
• 15:15
  Speaker 1: think being Christian is not difficult, right? I think battling
• 15:20
  Speaker 1: the flesh is difficult, but following Jesus is easy because
• 15:24
  Speaker 1: he said his burdens are light. When you follow Jesus,
• 15:29
  Speaker 1: he wants you to relax. He wants you to relax.
• 15:32
  Speaker 1: Follow him. He has your back. He knows what's in front.
• 15:37
  Speaker 1: He knows what's behind you. Amen. He set forth an
• 15:42
  Speaker 1: arcane angel, right, for you, like on assignment for you,
• 15:47
  Speaker 1: because the Bible says that for those who love God,
• 15:51
  Speaker 1: the angel of the Lord encamps around those who love God.
• 15:53
  Speaker 1: In other words, it's an assigned angel to us. That
• 15:56
  Speaker 1: angel is no joke. Amen? That angel handles his business.
• 16:02
  Speaker 1: That angel is assigned to your life and to my life.
• 16:06
  Speaker 1: We're never alone. We're never alone. There's parts of the
• 16:08
  Speaker 1: Bible that where there's 100 or 10,000 times 10,000, something
• 16:14
  Speaker 1: like that of angels, right? Some kind of number that
• 16:19
  Speaker 1: we can't even understand that's available right now to us
• 16:24
  Speaker 1: in the kingdom of heaven to come and do things
• 16:28
  Speaker 1: that these angels will handle, right? By way of God's
• 16:31
  Speaker 1: promises through Christ Jesus. So we are in a good place, amen?

  Speaker 1: Although it might not seem It might not seem that
• 16:40
  Speaker 1: way sometimes, right? Life happens. Life starts lifing, but we're
• 16:45
  Speaker 1: in a good place because we're never alone, right? Wherever
• 16:49
  Speaker 1: you walk, wherever I walk, we walk with the kingdom
• 16:51
  Speaker 1: of God. No games. Brother John, God bless. It's good

  Speaker 1: This world threw everything at us, right? I was deep

  Speaker 1: into the world system. And the scary part about it

  Speaker 1: is that I was getting good at doing what the
• 17:22
  Speaker 1: world offered. And now I could go like this. Thank you, Jesus,
• 17:28
  Speaker 1: for your grace. You got me out. Because I was
• 17:31
  Speaker 1: headed in the wrong way until 2001 when I had
• 17:35
  Speaker 1: an encounter with the Lord. And I'm still having encounters
• 17:37
  Speaker 1: with Jesus today. you're still having encounters with Jesus. Amen? So,
• 17:42
  Speaker 1: just thank Him. I mean, what are we going to do?
• 17:45
  Speaker 1: We can't take credit. We read that the other day.
• 17:48
  Speaker 1: We can't boast about us, what we're doing, but we
• 17:51
  Speaker 1: can boast about what Christ is doing in our lives
• 17:54
  Speaker 1: so that way others can see. Now, this is the thing.
• 17:58
  Speaker 1: Don't be ashamed to call yourself a Christ follower. Don't
• 18:01
  Speaker 1: be ashamed to say that you're born again. The world,
• 18:05
  Speaker 1: people think that the world will reject us automatically. That's
• 18:08
  Speaker 1: not true. The world knows that there should be a difference.
• 18:12
  Speaker 1: There should be a difference in those who are in
• 18:15
  Speaker 1: the light of God, who are saved, born again. They're
• 18:18
  Speaker 1: just afraid themselves to admit that they need a saving God.
• 18:24
  Speaker 1: So when you have relationships with people who are outside
• 18:28
  Speaker 1: of the kingdom, that's right. We could have, you know,
• 18:31
  Speaker 1: unsaved friends, right? Jesus was among sinners, right? We used
• 18:36
  Speaker 1: to be part of that sinful group. We still sin,
• 18:43
  Speaker 1: but we're not sinners. That's not who we identify as anymore.
• 18:47
  Speaker 1: Now we're born again believers, saints of God who deal
• 18:51
  Speaker 1: with the sin. But God says we are covered. We
• 18:55
  Speaker 1: are close. We are called. We are chosen. And we're clean.
• 19:03
  Speaker 1: Jesus' blood cleaned us from all unrighteousness. Now, whether you
• 19:07
  Speaker 1: want to believe that or not, you know, I have
• 19:09
  Speaker 1: to remind myself of that all the time. My thought
• 19:11
  Speaker 1: life is not always pure. What about yours? Amen? I
• 19:16
  Speaker 1: have some ideas that I know are not from God,
• 19:18
  Speaker 1: so I have to really relax and, you know, sometimes
• 19:22
  Speaker 1: you see me going like this, like trying to shake
• 19:24
  Speaker 1: off that thought. And I do that often because I'm like, yeah,
• 19:28
  Speaker 1: that won't be good if I act upon those thoughts. Right?
• 19:32
  Speaker 1: And those are not random things. We have someone who
• 19:36
  Speaker 1: calls himself the prince of the air, right? Demonic influences
• 19:41
  Speaker 1: all over us, around us. You notice that when we're
• 19:45

  Speaker 1: into these scriptures, right? Read it for ourselves. Read it

  Speaker 1: for ourselves and allow Holy Spirit to teach us. And

  Speaker 1: time to get into his word every day, little by little, right?

  Speaker 1: the day wants to do. Well, let's know that we

  Speaker 1: They're the chosen people, so God has specific plans, specific

  Speaker 1: Hebrew culture, and they get saved? They are super on fire, right?

  Speaker 1: do nothing. Jesus is the chief cornerstone. He's the head

  Speaker 1: of us all. Christ Jesus is that one, the chosen one,

  Speaker 1: the anointed one, the Mashiach Magid, the Bible says, the

  Speaker 1: chosen anointed one of God. And he's really the salvation

  Speaker 1: of Jehovah. He's the completed one, the one who completes

  Speaker 1: the promises of God, who fulfilled the laws of God.

  Speaker 1: He's the perfect one. And he gave us an example.

  Speaker 1: And he showed up on this earth, right, and dwelt

  Speaker 1: among us, lived among his people. And yet his own

  Speaker 1: people rejected him. So how much more do you think

  Speaker 1: they're going to reject us in this world? But it's okay.

  Speaker 1: Jesus said in this world, this is a promise from

  Speaker 1: the Lord. In this world, we will have trials. We

  Speaker 1: will go through tribulation, but be of good cheer because

  Speaker 1: he's come to this world, right? We read it in

  Speaker 1: the gospels. We read it. And he overcame the world

  Speaker 1: system and he paid the sin debt. So therefore we

  Speaker 1: could benefit and get into these promises because of what

  Speaker 1: Jesus did, his finished work, right? So his last commandment,

  Speaker 1: what he told us to do was to go preach

  Speaker 1: the gospel and make disciples, baptize people in the name

  Speaker 1: of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen. And

  Speaker 1: keep it moving from there. Those who receive, praise God.

  Speaker 1: Those who don't want to believe and reject the gospel,

  Speaker 1: dust off your feet, the Bible says, and keep it moving.
