- 0:05Drama Darling Drama, Darling Drama, Darling. Hey, everybody, it's drama
- 0:21Darling. Amy Phillips is with me? Uh is Emily Theresa's what? And
- 0:29I'm with Emily Theresa's and I'm Amy Phillips and Emily is with me and I
- 0:34am with myself with Emily. Wow, I have a feeling this show is
- 0:40going to be a little of the Racker Elvis's Rum drinks. Yes, and
- 0:49Emily already sent me several devil emojis emoji before the understand that you speak that
- 0:58I do, I speak emoji. Uh. It's ten thirty at night,
- 1:03a Sunday night. We've just freshly watched New York Yes with commercials. I
- 1:08did, so wow, what's going on out there these days? Well,
- 1:12there's like a infommercial length commercial of Ci and her daughter h pushing the the
- 1:19Ninja Seltzer machine, the Thirsty with an Ie Seltzer massine. Wow. Okay,
- 1:27it's very long. It's been a minute since I've watched Bravo with commercials
- 1:33because if I'm Dvring or Peacock, I don't see them, and socking and
- 1:38also but it's nice to see that sight is as we've now realized from this
- 1:44reunion what an influencer just like. You know, sometimes it's like Lou and
- 1:49Sonya pushing a minivan or the band or pump Cows in the studio for Uber
- 1:53Gold. So it's interesting that it was just Si and her kid with the
- 2:00Seltzer machine she is working. It's a Seltzer machine. I thirsty, Ninja
- 2:07thirsty, and it's perfect. Yeah, but I multiple of the New York
- 2:15Wives and the commercial just sigh. And the influencers have really petered out today.
- 2:23No, never, no, just because baby Dward's sleeping. So I
- 2:27get a little worried. Anyway, that's so exciting that you watched it on
- 2:34real television to do this and the reason why why are we doing this?
- 2:37You ask? Why? Well, because Bravo Khan is upon us and I'm
- 2:42back to back, you know, we're back to back. I gotta leave
- 2:45town. There's only so much I can do in a day, and so
- 2:47we have to preload this week. That's why we much just to cover for
- 2:53the con, I know, I know, and during the con and all
- 2:57sorts of things. Halloween, and it's Halloween on Tuesday, the day before
- 3:01I leave for I was gonna say uber eats, but no, before you
- 3:07leave for hots, I do need to do the whole trick or treat thing
- 3:15as we all do, and then leave it like six in the morning the
- 3:17next day. Yes, right, even though I have not one child to
- 3:22claim I am responsible for shutting down my street for trigger treat with the city.
- 3:27You sure as heck are, And it's a whole undertaking, darlings.
- 3:30It's a burden you have been bearing on your shoulders. My friend, I
- 3:35signed up to do it, so I'm not gonna go Well, how did
- 3:38I ever, Emily? You signed up. You went to this city and
- 3:42said I would like to take this on. Yeah, you guys just want
- 3:46you all to know that our dear Emily has been to the city multiple times.
- 3:51There have been letters, there have been face campaigns. It's probably going
- 3:54to be a reunion hosted by Andy Cohen. I'm but yeah, I get
- 4:00about a thousand trigger treats and I live on a very narrow street and so
- 4:04we as neighbors were like, we got to get this thing shut down.
- 4:10I mean, because they're the neighboring street is shut down and we get all
- 4:13the overflow. So how much candy do you get I spend a couple hundred
- 4:21bucks on candy, Like it's more than that. Yeah, it's a ton
- 4:26of time, say you'd have to. Yeah, it's wild. I love
- 4:30it though, we all love it. And you're warned when you move anywhere
- 4:34near here, that is the trick or treat area. Okay, so just
- 4:39be ready or turn your lights off and hide. Everybody go to Emily's.
- 4:43No, I'm not going to tell them. I'm to tell them what town
- 4:45you at this point. And I just stand in my garage and like,
- 4:49I like Will Ferrell and Elf with candy, just when he's at the snowballs,
- 4:55just firing them off. And but do you do like two candies per
- 5:00bag? I get a little liberal as the night yeah, sure, as
- 5:02the drinks are being thrown back. Yes, yes, And my big trick.
- 5:08And I'm sure everybody knows this trick. It's nothing new, but I
- 5:11like to give the big candy bars out. But just to the kids,
- 5:15I know, so they think I'm a big candy bar house. They don't
- 5:18know. Well, we are going to be setting up Ursula's Layer here at
- 5:25our house. I mean kind of a generic version that we did a trunk
- 5:28retreat and Maddie will be Ursula again. I will be dressing in all black.
- 5:33I will put flotsam and jetsam on my around my neck because we did
- 5:36make them. And we have a flounder cat costume that we are going to
- 5:44put Swoopy in for just the picture and then she will be released and happy
- 5:47as can be. Don't only one panic and let's see here Brett. I
- 5:56told him he's going to dress in all black and hold Swoopy for the picture.
- 6:00Okay, okay, but you know I tried to get into be King
- 6:02Triton. We had a lot going on. He just couldn't get all the
- 6:05assets together. So he's not going to be that. He would have been
- 6:09perfect because the beard, Oh my gosh, but that's not gonna happen.
- 6:14So he has a pumpkin shirt he's gonna wear trigger treating all fine, But
- 6:16Maddy really wants to hand out candy, so we're not going to be out
- 6:19for that long. She wants to come back. She wants to hand out
- 6:21candy. She's thrilled about it. Oh, tell her to come here.
- 6:26There's a conveyor amount of kids waiting. She would love it. So can
- 6:30you give me and the listeners. An update on the Bluey costumes that you
- 6:34have here. Yeah, well oh that hurts. Yeah. Now, it's
- 6:39just so everybody knows that we're recording this on Sunday night. You're listening to
- 6:42it on Tuesday, the day before Halloween. So maybe things by that time
- 6:46will change. But your backup plan is what are you going to turn the
- 6:50bluey parents' costumes into the aunt and uncle? It's just doing the what now
- 6:59turning blue costumes? They're not going to show up, Amy, I know
- 7:03it's not gonna be there's gonna be a Christmas miracle. But if you were
- 7:06to go get just the the blue parents' costumes where oh I've been looking.
- 7:15I got desperate over the weekend. And have you gone to Spirit Halloween?
- 7:19Yeah? So they they have dad dog costume, but no mom dog costume
- 7:27because they're generic, you know, for they can't just say but they don't
- 7:33fit. It's the other thing. They're like, h tiny so and or
- 7:41huge Like I'm there's no in between. So it's gonna be Mary Poppins.
- 7:46It's gonna be a Mary Poppins finish. I think that's gonna be lovely.
- 7:50Yeah, it always is. Eleven Am on Trick or Treat. I gotta
- 7:56start dragon barriers across sandbags. Just yep, get out of here. Do
- 8:03you know you do wear a reflective bast and stuff, and like, yes,
- 8:07do you have to look somewhat official? You better yeah, because people
- 8:13are pissed when we started to saying no, you can't drive through here unless
- 8:16you're like you're gonna be the last one I let through, and then I
- 8:20put up that barrier and then it's like just tumbleweeds on my street until the
- 8:24treats arrive. Dish. Oh gosh, I need my glasses so late and
- 8:35dark in this room. Sorry, we canceled Glam today because we both look
- 8:41you know, well, you look amazing. We both look amazing. Cancel
- 8:46GLAMs so there won't be a video for this one. Okay, Glam is
- 8:52canceled. So I'm looking at Bravo's announcement and it's so funny. On Instagram
- 8:58they go a schedule this iconic deserves a name, introducing the Bravo Vortex,
- 9:05and it's basically a list of all the shows that's one this week, and
- 9:11then like what's going on Sunday Roney Reunion Part two, Monday New Below Deck
- 9:16med Tuesday, New Winter House and new Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Wednesday,
- 9:24Real Housewives of Miami Premier and a new Reeal Housewives of Beverly Hills Thursday,
- 9:31Southern Charm Friday, Bravocon, Saturday, Bravocon, Sunday Bravocon Also Married
- 9:41to Medicine Premier and Sunday Yes Okay, and Real Housewives of Potomac Premiere.
- 9:50Wow. Yeah, we asked for it, We're getting it. We're getting
- 9:58what we asked for. I went down to the city Los Angeles, and
- 10:01I said, shut down my street and give me so much Bravo. I
- 10:03want a puke, And you got it, kiddo. So after Halloween is
- 10:09over, you're still going to keep the street shutdown so you can have peace
- 10:13and quiet while you take all this in. This is my treat. I
- 10:18didn't want to be tricked. I wanted to treat, and my treat is
- 10:22Bravo Wicked. So it's gonna be nuts because you know, I'm going to
- 10:31be doing shows from Bravo con like from my hotel room, just so I
- 10:35can keep up, you know. Yeah, and then just jumping into next
- 10:41week, I will be leaving on Sunday and then you know, popping into
- 10:48Monday. I don't have a schedule for that day yet, Emily, So
- 10:52let's just plan on the Potomac premiere for now, Yes, and just land
- 10:58there and I'm excited for that. We'll deal with Married to Medicine either the
- 11:05following day and do a doubleheader with Below Deck med which I think we probably
- 11:11will do anyway, whatever, we'll figure it out offline. Yeah. I
- 11:16mean, it's almost too much, but it's not. I say that,
- 11:20and I know it's that. It's not. It's not too much. You
- 11:24know what, We're getting into the holidays, and this is what this is
- 11:26great. Now, I want to say that I'm sorry. The newest news
- 11:37about Shannonmandor has been reported over the weekend. TMZ is saying that the duy
- 11:43blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit, and Shannon has been charged
- 11:50with hit and run and duy. So she has been officially charged and these
- 11:58are the two charges, one count of hit and run, both misdemeanors.
- 12:03Law enforcement sources tell TMZ she blew a point two four percent after the crash.
- 12:09I never know like what's high or low. You know, usually it's
- 12:13like a point zero five or you know, like I don't know what's what,
- 12:18so but three times the limit, yeah, three times the limit is
- 12:22crazy. Also hitting a house, so that to me is like I also
- 12:26go by those what did you hit? How hard? Who was hurt?
- 12:31Right? Those are also good And she hit a house, so that's that's
- 12:35up there. I would think, Yeah, I what do you think is
- 12:39gonna happen? Like will she get jail time for this? You know?
- 12:43I don't know. That part is what's confusing to me because it doesn't it
- 12:50change, it changes right for wherever you are, So I don't know.
- 12:54I mean what was so startling was also that like she didn't have her mugshot
- 12:58won't be least just because it's in Orange County, so it's up to Orange
- 13:03County. I don't know what their laws are. I'd be really surprised,
- 13:09though, I would think that she's gonna have a lawyer that would Yeah.
- 13:15I mean, I don't think she's going to do any kind of time.
- 13:16No, no, nobody would nobody. Well just freak me out because obviously
- 13:22it says three times the limit and you're like, well can that get you
- 13:26into real serious trouble? But I do think that she has a good lawyer.
- 13:30She'll probably be fine, do some you know, be ordered to go
- 13:33to rehab, maybe do some things like that. Well, story is obviously
- 13:39continuing to unfold, and before we get into our recap, I have to
- 13:46give a big shout out to a patron who upgraded to Tier three. So
- 13:52Arlene, welcome, Welcome to tear three. And I have her tagline.
- 13:58She is giving me the honor of reading it for her. We created this
- 14:03for her special and this is Arlen's tagline. If My Life was a romance
- 14:07novel. The next chapter is a juicy one. Ooh well, well,
- 14:13well Arlene, we should recap arlens saga give us dates. I think we
- 14:22will do a little uh check back in with Arlen sometime very soon. So
- 14:28how about duh? Now it's time to talk about the second reunion of Orange
- 14:35County of New York. Sorry, I feel like I'm just that person that
- 14:41you just is apologizing all the time. It's so annoying. I don't know
- 14:46why I'm doing it so much tonight, but it's just I'm sorry, I'm
- 14:50sorry. I kind of feel like I'm a little bit channeling Jennus. You
- 14:52feel like yelling at you uber Hat took the whole reunion to yell about how
- 15:01she's not yelling or mad, and then closed it with a fucking a brilliant
- 15:09branding message for her own Uba Hat. I mean, like, yeah,
- 15:15yay, I don't even think she's doing on a purpose. She just actually
- 15:20is genius. I mean, And it was so funny because somebody called her
- 15:24outboard at the end, They're like, oh, that's a Maybe it was
- 15:26Brinn. That's good branding. Oh it was Aaron. Was it Aaron?
- 15:31Oh my gosh, well yeah, they had her number. At the end
- 15:35they're they're like, oh, okay, so now you're gonna run with the
- 15:37uba Hot. So this whole reunion I have felt like it, and well
- 15:43we saw shades of it throughout the season, but I'm like, UBA's having
- 15:48a conversation and in her head alone, and she thinks we're all in her
- 15:52head with her. So then when some of that conversation like then she just
- 15:58like says it and I'm like, what the hell is she talking about?
- 16:03Like it's just like it's like such a left turn, and it's like,
- 16:07yeah, okay, that event happened, but like you're really bringing that up
- 16:11right now? All right. She This was a very cathartic reunion for her
- 16:18in particular, and I think because everyone was like, well, it sounds
- 16:23like you just need to get a lot off your chest. You know.
- 16:26What's interesting is that she's so sensitive. Oh my god, Uba is so
- 16:33sensitive, like and I mean, I think all of us are sensitive on
- 16:37some level. This whole cast of characters seems very sensitive. But Uba really
- 16:42was genuinely hurt by a lot and when she saw the confessionals from Aaron and
- 16:48even Jenna, I mean like Jenna, who really there was really no harm
- 16:52done in her saying I saw a side to Uba, and I don't want
- 16:56to get a taste of Uba hat like as she said, it was just
- 17:00being cheeky. I didn't mean any harm. And but I think again there
- 17:06was a little bit of a breakdown in semantics because Uba thought she meant something
- 17:11even more to it by saying a side of her. So I don't know
- 17:15how that translated to her, but it definitely struck her the wrong way,
- 17:18and she really was mad and really hurt. So I think that she did
- 17:26think it was worse than what it actually was. So there was that so
- 17:30once they all were like no, no, no, it's it's not that
- 17:33bad, Like this is what we're saying. And I mean, I'm glad
- 17:36that they finally all came through and sort of consoled her at the end,
- 17:40but I get I'm getting a kind I feel concerned for her for the future
- 17:45because so many things, so many big things happen, Like in this season,
- 17:51it was hardly anything at all. It was so light. I really
- 17:57liked this season. But yeah, like the only drama that even hit the
- 18:03radar was because of Uba reacting, not just Uba, but like it was
- 18:07about UBA's reaction at the end, right, Yeah, any So I think,
- 18:15like, I mean, she kept it interesting for sure, but there's
- 18:19definitely some times where I'm like, oh my gosh, you but you can't
- 18:23say that, like especially in this reunion with the like the slapping the dude
- 18:30or like you're going, I'm gonna like she just like the fighting stuff and
- 18:34Britt too, I was like, oh my god. And they played that
- 18:37clip a million times about the I put people in funerals, but both times
- 18:42there's cuts to Andy just to have a reaction shot, and I always think,
- 18:48like, are they just getting those together so that when there's a future
- 18:53domestic violence charged. When they play it back, Andy's safe because he like
- 18:59reacts did like appropriately. Oh that's interesting. I actually thought, oh,
- 19:06he probably didn't react like that because she thought it was such a burn and
- 19:08it was like, it's so weak, Like we've been watching housewives for like
- 19:11fifteen years. Your insults are so weak to each other. I'm like,
- 19:17this is oh Boresville, Like you know what I'm saying, if you can,
- 19:19and then Andy being like whoa, And I thought that was probably a
- 19:23reaction he had to something else than to that. I they just they're anyway.
- 19:30Maybe they're just protecting him, I guess. I mean, I don't
- 19:33know. It just was like pople in the hospital. Okay, I don't
- 19:37know, you did pretty harsh. I just thought it was could come back.
- 19:44Really, I thought it was a really silly like school ground fight.
- 19:53Use your mama, you know, That's what it sounded like to me,
- 19:56like your mom needs rocks. It just was I don't know. I mean,
- 20:00like it felt very Jersey Reunion, that back and forth between Uba and
- 20:03Brynn, but the fact that Brynn was like half asleep she was giving it.
- 20:08I didn't ever feel like anyone was in danger. No, she didn't
- 20:11care. She was just throwing out insults. That's why I'm saying it was
- 20:15just child's play. Uba was very upset and it was making her even more
- 20:18mad when she was, you know, getting all right and not getting riled
- 20:23up. But what were they even fighting about? Now? I gotta go
- 20:26to my notes, so many notes? Was it the Uba phone thing?
- 20:32Well? Uba? And he says, does anybody think in the group that
- 20:34Uba overreacted? And she was like, I'm going to talk. No one's
- 20:38gonna respond, let me talk, and we got really yeah, it was
- 20:44about the Jenna. It was about the Jenna apartment. It was about UBA's
- 20:49being offended that Jenna didn't tell her that they were going to be filming and
- 20:53saying that there was a side of her. And then Brynn was like,
- 20:56well what's this side? Oh, Rod I was like, yeah, yeah,
- 21:03that's that's true. Okay, yeah yeah, And Jenna was just sitting
- 21:08over there like, oh, this is not what I was looking for.
- 21:14I had no idea. I never signed up for one conflict, just a
- 21:18breach of my contract. Well, Uba was really coming in hot with Aaron
- 21:23and Brynn saying like they're fake they're not the same, Like she was getting
- 21:27in the middle of their conversation and like, O, they're fake, They're
- 21:30not the same, and you know anywhere she was like, is there any
- 21:33place I can puke around here? Their friendship makes me sick. The way
- 21:37Aaron talks about Bran, Yeah, I think that is there a possibility that
- 21:45Uba doesn't know how to just be on this show and she's just truly one
- 21:51of the only people who was being the most authentic, whereas Cy and Brin
- 21:56and everyone else is kind of playing the role on some level of being on
- 22:02a reality show and knowing that they kind of have to have these playful relationships.
- 22:04And ub was calling that out and what Aaron's saying like, you know
- 22:08what, we we can like fight and we can make up and that's just
- 22:14how it is. And it was like, no, that's bullshit, and
- 22:15it's like, well, it's a show though, like you know what I
- 22:18mean, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a great point.
- 22:21Like I do think maybe maybe they had some handshake agreements about how things would
- 22:27be on this show between each other, and that none of it stuck.
- 22:34Maybe that I mean, I'm we're both guessing because I don't know, you
- 22:40know, otherwise it's like, uhba, I don't understand any of this.
- 22:45Yeah, when they were talking about the phone, and it was tried to
- 22:52explain like I travel a lot, my family got tired about worrying about me,
- 22:56and it wasn't forty five minutes that the phone was gone. It was
- 22:59longer than that, which Jessel does confirm. And Aaron's text. Uba was
- 23:06like at the end, I understood where she was coming from because she's like
- 23:10I thought, she's like about Aaron. I thought that Erin was gaslighting me,
- 23:14is what she said, and that Erin was throwing Jessel under the bus
- 23:18by saying that she texted Jessel and Jessel didn't say anything. And it really
- 23:23did come down to a lot of just miscommunication and a little bit of a
- 23:30misunderstanding based on the fact that Aaron Uba, somebody or Jessel texted the group
- 23:37saying does anybody have UBA's phone? And what did Aaron do? Well,
- 23:42this is where I was like, Okay, now this makes sense why Uba
- 23:45was pissed because Uba was under the Aaron said that she told everybody on that
- 23:53chat that she had the phone, and I forgot this that she just replied
- 23:59with him ojeez. She didn't use any words to say what she said,
- 24:03and she said that she texted words an explanation and so as Uba, yeah,
- 24:12that would I got it. Then I was like, yeah, oh,
- 24:17so she feels lied to, deceived and lied to. Granted it was
- 24:22a prank, but whatever. But I got a little bit more of where
- 24:27she was coming from because on top of that, she felt like, you
- 24:32didn't and now you're pulling out your phone to show that you texted and you
- 24:34didn't text anybody? What are you talking about? And she didn't get it
- 24:40right. I mean, she texted the group. It wasn't just Jessel,
- 24:41but it was Jessel that was asking the question. I suppose, but it
- 24:45was God, it was just such a silly mess. And when Andy said
- 24:52if she would have sent, you know, a hand up, like saying
- 24:56that she had it, would you have gotten And she's like, I still
- 24:59wouldn't have got That was very funny. I like me too. I can't
- 25:03speak in about it. I need words. I know. Aaron apologizes,
- 25:10which is really nice. And then this is where well Brinn says, it's
- 25:15called share Location, Find find my iPhone And I was like, but then
- 25:21I and then when Uba was freaking out. I completely agreed with Uba.
- 25:26I did too. I did too because she was like, my family will
- 25:30just get on a flight to like, uh, you know wherever I am.
- 25:33Then that makes no sense. Yeah, you're you could be a dead
- 25:37body with your phone next to you and you can see your phone is active,
- 25:41right, And so for Brinn to be so flippant and just so dismissive
- 25:47over the whole point of why she was freaking out that she lost her phone
- 25:52brought it up all of that anger again, which defeated the whole purpose of
- 25:56trying to get to the end of this and like put it down to rest
- 26:00by Brin's stirring it up again by trying to demean her by saying, like,
- 26:03share your location, find my phone. And I was like thinking to
- 26:06myself, you can share your location all day until you get a text from
- 26:10somebody you know, you don't know if they're okay. They could just be
- 26:14passed out. Totally true. And I think the reason I at this point
- 26:18I was okay with Brynn just jumping in out of nowhere was because Uba had
- 26:22been doing it the entire reunion and it's like, here you go, Uba,
- 26:27this is you on the couch. Yeah, like just serving up something
- 26:33no one was looking for. But yeah, I talked about it for so
- 26:37long. Yeah, like I even feel bad talking about it now, I
- 26:41know, because I'm like way longer than it's ever been talked about. And
- 26:48Andy even said like that she kind of went back to the beginning, and
- 26:51he was like, I think that we covered that like ad nauseum. But
- 26:56then we got into this we kind of you know, pivot povted over to
- 27:00the no makeup scene at Jenna's where this is where they showed that that cut
- 27:07scene or whatever. And then Jenna's like, I would never do you.
- 27:11I just I don't I don't know what. And then Uba was like defending
- 27:15yourself already about being accused of being angry and assertive, like saying, don't
- 27:22confuse being angry and assertive about the uber hot thing. And then uh,
- 27:30sorry you guys, I'm sorry. Brinn says something along lines of like,
- 27:34well, you actually came in pretty assertive to that. Yeah. Brin was
- 27:40kind of like, yeah, that's not assertive, that's right, like yeah,
- 27:44yeah, and then UBA's like you and she's right, she came in
- 27:48mad, like she was very like confrontational right to Jenna immediately, and it
- 27:56just it would set the scene and make things very uncomfortable. Yeah, because
- 28:00I think that was like one of their first filming and they're one of like
- 28:04I mean, I can't believe that that wasn't a bigger deal in the season
- 28:08that Yeah. So yeah, but I but it's also like, as the
- 28:15audience, we just assume they always know when they're going to be filming,
- 28:19So that was really weird too. Yeah, I don't know, I have
- 28:25a lot of assumption, really, JENNI probably thought that when she texted her
- 28:30to come over that a producer would have told Uba and gave her the heads
- 28:34up on her end. You know. Yeah, I really really like Uba
- 28:38a lot. I hope that she stays on the show. But I also
- 28:44hope that she gets better a better understanding of, like like Andy said,
- 28:49the semantics like I and and she said something too at the end about like
- 28:56what she observed in herself that she needs to learn or warn people when she's
- 29:02about to turn hot. And yeah, but she kind of did that anyway
- 29:08a little bit. But whatever. I hope she's back as confusing as she
- 29:14can be. I hope she's back well with the phone incident, not to
- 29:17bring it up again, but she said she didn't want to talk to Aaron
- 29:21that night because she wanted to call I was thinking of right, and then
- 29:26she had the whole night to sleep it off and like reset, but she
- 29:30was just tooks well. She said she hadn't eat and yet, which we
- 29:34all know, you know, is a problem for most people. But the
- 29:41the no makeup thing, uh Uba says to Brent, maybe you don't know
- 29:47how to stick up for yourself and be loved, and that's what just really
- 29:51triggered Brynn. And she was like watch your mouth. You people. All
- 29:55the line that was it was like Uba took it was a low blow.
- 30:00Yeah. Uba was like I'm going to take this thing. I know he's
- 30:04going to cut you at your gut and yeah, they're going to have to
- 30:07sit here and deal with it in front of everybody. It was so much,
- 30:11well like what I was disappointed that she did that, Yeah, and
- 30:17I part of me was like, do you know what you just said?
- 30:21Like did you really mean to go that low? That was weird because it
- 30:26doesn't seem like her. But when she said, you know, you put
- 30:29people in the hospital. I put him in the funeral home, and Uba
- 30:33says, I bury them. I'm like, well you kind of just did
- 30:37you know by that comment? But then Uba kind of posts into Jenna as
- 30:44being like I looked up to you and I was offended when you said you
- 30:49were team Aaron about the sunglasses thing. And then she really lets loose about
- 30:53how no one stood up for her, and then that's when she kind of
- 30:56broke it. The conversations I think she's having in her head that I think
- 31:00she thinks we can hear, because that was so out of nowhere, the
- 31:08confessional about Jenna talking about having aaronside. They were talking about Uba going to
- 31:17Jenna's apartment and how about the filming and how she felt set up, and
- 31:22then she gets upset. There's a break from Uba for a second, and
- 31:27then it's like and then with the Aaron except for there was no And then
- 31:33it was what you said about Aaron and you were team Aaron and I was
- 31:38like, wait what, and it was like we are mid I wasn't in
- 31:42your head with you, but set this up for us, I know,
- 31:45and the only person who can pop it around is Andy. I mean,
- 31:49every with a little bit of help from the ladies, it's okay to go
- 31:53in and out, but it was like she was running her own reunion.
- 31:57Yeah yeah, and maybe you know again, I think when Andy articulated that
- 32:06what you guys will have to learn as housewives essentially is that and it's very
- 32:09common that when you go back into reunion, you relive all this stuff and
- 32:14you have to drudge it up again and then you just have to kind of
- 32:16work through it again, but that you have to figure out a way to
- 32:20just leave it on the field here today, you know. And that was
- 32:24wild to see because I thought that would just be crazy to be on a
- 32:29reality show, to have to compartmentalize to do that and to be able to
- 32:32ebb and flow because they they've all said they've hung out together all summer and
- 32:37had a great time, and I were able to go ahead. But yeah,
- 32:40oh that's I guess so because that kind of confused me. Well,
- 32:45only Aaron, like Aaron oh Uba Brand and maybe Jessel Okay had hung out
- 32:52but not sigh, And I don't know. I'm sure Jenna was invited.
- 32:55I just that didn't come up. But I just I just I had to
- 33:05decorate a summer true with my kids, but I know we're skipping around a
- 33:10little bit better. I was what we like when it opened back up on
- 33:14Jessel with the I kind of I was confused a little too about or I'm
- 33:24not confused, but I thought, like the whole Jessel thing just ended abruptly.
- 33:29Did you get that feeling? Yes, well, I think that they
- 33:32ultimately did apologize, and I think that because they apologized, there was nothing
- 33:38else to talk about, and I think Jessel accepted that, So that's probably
- 33:44why it ended so quickly. I mean with Cy with Andy asking the question
- 33:51did you bring up postpartum to these women during the filming? And she was
- 33:55like, yes, I did, and then Aaron was like, no,
- 34:00you didn't in your confessional. So it's like, that's why we all have.
- 34:05The viewers have more empathy for her because we heard her story whereas more
- 34:10so than the ladies did. And Aaron said like, I didn't even know
- 34:15you went through all that like and then Cy, who would accuse her of
- 34:20having a seckless marriage, was like, we thought you were kind of being
- 34:23playful about your marriage and we didn't know. But then Jessel takes up to
- 34:29this point, which and we will discuss, but saying She's like, well,
- 34:34I didn't know what you guys were saying behind my back that he was
- 34:36cheating, And then you get a chorus of Sig and Aaron going we didn't
- 34:39say that, and it's like, yes, you did, and Jessel was
- 34:45like, well, Cy implied it, and Aaron's like, thank you for
- 34:49excluding me from that. I appreciate that, you know, and I'm like,
- 34:51but she's not excluded. I mean, I stand by Jessel and that
- 34:57you know, I'll be a tank top in this situation and say that they
- 35:00laid it on thick that storyline about. I mean, they just made it
- 35:02the top of the both of them. Did Jessel, whether she meant to
- 35:09do it or not, maybe she just didn't realize the gas lighting on what
- 35:14she The details that she did give everybody opened the door to that logic.
- 35:22Now. Absolutely Aaron and Si implied it. And think I'm glad that they
- 35:25did, because otherwise, as viewers at home, we would have all been
- 35:30like, why is no one saying this is weird? Love it? And
- 35:37Jessel's main storyline is like trying to figure out how to hook up with her
- 35:42husband again, and he's going to Vietnam for a sandwich like that, so
- 35:46I can. I'm glad that they were kind of our voice, so like
- 35:50this is weird, right, and for Jesse'll be like, it's not weird,
- 35:53like you know, just recently, like Drew and Ralph in Atlanta,
- 36:00that to me was less weird that Ralph went to Vegas for a weekend to
- 36:05work, even though everyone in the cast is like, oh shit, and
- 36:08everyone at home was like, oh shit, this is not gonna be good
- 36:12because he because he had a history already, right, but also like povit
- 36:17going to get a sandwich in Vietnam to take that flight. It it for
- 36:23just they know that's totally normal. Well, they took it way too far.
- 36:30I mean, I think Cy and Aaron just really hit too hard in
- 36:32one spot there. I think it's fine to be a little playful about it,
- 36:37Yeah, SI was trying to say, but they weren't that playful.
- 36:39It was just to me mean like it felt like they were legitimately saying,
- 36:47you know, some serious stuff about their marriage, and I just thought it
- 36:51seemed hurtful. Now and they did they Yeah, they definitely did more than
- 36:54implied. They They definitely Aaron and Cy were definitely say and they were straight
- 37:00up saying it, but I did all that aside. I do love that
- 37:05they both apologized, and I love that Aaron said, like now that I
- 37:09know, like what you're going through, I totally get it. And like,
- 37:14well, if Abe told me he was going somewhere for a sandwich,
- 37:15what I think it was weird, Yes, but it's totally different. And
- 37:20also people do fly to get miles and he's just one of those people,
- 37:23and he did a whole travel povt vlog. I get that all now.
- 37:28I'm saying at the time that they were filming and at the time that we
- 37:31were watching, yes, not bad time. The clues we were given as
- 37:36an audience led up to not a sandwich, right, But Sian Aaron took
- 37:40it too far, And that's where I will stand as a tank top too
- 37:44far, too far. I don't think that they did, and that's where
- 37:46I'll stand as an audience member. Okay, all right, No that I
- 37:49know, I know. I know now when they start calling out and Darlings
- 37:55agree with me, all the doddlings. Now they start talking about Jessel's story.
- 38:06And this is another time where I felt it was a pretty good reunion
- 38:12because I really did see a lot of both sides throughout this second one,
- 38:19where like I do see the point of I mean, when Cy was yelling
- 38:25at Jessel on the boat, like we want to hear your story. You
- 38:29know, it's a little off putting, but I get that she kind of
- 38:31talks in circles like we kind of all have that friend, you know.
- 38:37But then for her to be so shut down by even saying anything, it's
- 38:42like, how can she begin, you know what I mean, to try
- 38:45to open up, And when she's sang like, well, this is the
- 38:49way I grew up, like that's my parents' culture, is my culture,
- 38:52it's the color of my skin. And by calling me out and that,
- 38:57it's really belittanting my story. And then of course I's like, no,
- 39:00we didn't, and I'm like, yes, you did again, you know.
- 39:05And I'm like, this is why you got her in Rolling Stone and
- 39:08you didn't because these are just things that people are we're seeing that you're not
- 39:13really owning up to. But I disagree. I don't know. No,
- 39:19I know that I know I'm making it. I'm make I'm being cheeky.
- 39:22I didn't mean you are really being cheeky fitting into this tank top tonight well,
- 39:29it's after dark, Darling. So I just felt like it was weird
- 39:38that Aaron and cy were just like, but you kept saying that you grew
- 39:44up this way, and you know, kind of comparing yourself to you this,
- 39:47And I did think it felt like they were being competitive about telling their
- 39:52story, which was a weird feeling to have when you're watching something, like
- 39:57you're not letting her share. Yeah, I don't think I didn't read it
- 40:01as competitive, but I totally see where you did, and I think others
- 40:06did too. I didn't read it as competitive as much as it was just
- 40:09like another time when they were like, not just Jesse, but anybody.
- 40:15It's like you watch any reality show and you get a sense of when someone's
- 40:21not being authentic or fully Yeah, And it was in a moment where other
- 40:25people were being very real and very vulnerable, and it felt like she was
- 40:35thinking that she was being really relatable and vulnerable, and it wasn't reading to
- 40:39us at home. I mean, I wasn't feeling it, but I don't.
- 40:44I don't tell anyone's story. After those incredibly like heart wrenching, deep
- 40:51layered, complex relationships that Saya has gone through, the brand has gone through
- 40:57like after they tell their stories, I mean, and like, what do
- 41:01you do in fairness and fairness to signed to Aaron and everybody like it wasn't
- 41:07like I think Jessel is the one that felt like it was a competition.
- 41:12She probably felt like she didn't have a pretty sad story like Aaron didn't have
- 41:17a sad story, and it was still very compelling and interesting, right like
- 41:21Jessel's real story. As Jessel, I would still like to hear that.
- 41:27I just don't think we have had it. I think we will get it.
- 41:29Okay, Actually we got a little bit more. I mean, I
- 41:32did like that she said to Aaron. I liked that she stood up for
- 41:37herself, saying like, I didn't you know, I wasn't the ballet with
- 41:40Brad Pitt. I was, you know, giving out newspapers with my mom.
- 41:45And then that really painted a picture of something like they weren't rich,
- 41:49but they weren't poor. Their middle class and hard maybe hard working middle class.
- 41:53And so I think what we can definitely agree on is really just own
- 42:00your own story, own that that's what you are. You can't follow somebody
- 42:05else's act and feel like you need to trumpet or maybe or relate with it
- 42:10or somehow get on their level, and maybe by default of her trying to
- 42:15be relatable to them in that situation, she was trying to kind of trying
- 42:21to relate and just didn't know. But I also really liked and I had
- 42:25an issue when jesselyn Cy went to lunch and she brought up her uncle and
- 42:30that was like so cringey and so hard to watch, and we all felt
- 42:36that and I felt very too. And she got it, I think,
- 42:40yeah, and she finally got it that. I was glad that she finally
- 42:45got it, because it seemed like a lot of people were telling her and
- 42:49she continued to be like, well, you know, I don't I'm just
- 42:52saying it was like, no, it's really two different things. Even Jenna
- 42:57was like, I just I have to pipe in. It's like what hype?
- 43:00You know, you don't really need to say that, because like an
- 43:02uncle is different than a mother. And yeah, but I really liked that
- 43:07she was able to kind of own up to that and apologize and that SI
- 43:14said, I know, you were just trying to connect with me, but
- 43:17at that moment, I just had to get away. And then also I
- 43:21did not realize that SI's mom had passed just five months before that, did
- 43:25you I didn't. I didn't know. I didn't know that. And to
- 43:30me, this second episode of the reunion like redeemed SI for the season for
- 43:37me. Yeah, yes, I totally agree. She really even her dress
- 43:40looked better, It did look better. I think it was like just everything
- 43:45came together. SI really showed up at the second reunion and Soda Jussel,
- 43:51I mean for the whole season, and and I think that was because I
- 43:53think, like cy did watch and I think she did grow, and I'm
- 43:57like that story about her mom was like in the fact, what really got
- 44:02me was like yeah, yeah, and she's like I still wake up thinking
- 44:07like I hope she's okay, Like she still thinks she has not not like
- 44:12that she has to take care of her like in a earthly way, but
- 44:15like like she's going to take care of her like in the beyond or something
- 44:21like that. That was such a like that was a great moment. Her
- 44:28story really brought me to tears. And then to know that it had just
- 44:32happened five months ago, and to think of her at that lunch and sit
- 44:36across from someone like I'd be like I would lose my it would just be
- 44:40very hard to handle. And I think I completely empathize with her, and
- 44:47you get too why, you know, when she said something along the lines
- 44:52of like I just cut people when I don't have time for it with adults,
- 44:58Like she said something like I know she's no patience. I go like
- 45:01silence or she just shuts up, she cuts it off or something like that.
- 45:06Yeah. Yeah, And it's like, of course you would, because
- 45:08like you can't take anything else on in terms of trying to like help an
- 45:15elder or a parent, you know, like she spent her life with adult,
- 45:20an adult that she had to like manage, and so of course she's
- 45:25going to be like, Okay, I'm done talking about this, I'm done.
- 45:29Like she doesn't have any space for anybody else in that way to like,
- 45:34oh you're sad, Oh you're upset right now, like let me cater
- 45:37to you. Like she's just probably like I'm tapped out right now, understandably.
- 45:43So yeah, and to know that she hasn't had therapy and it's not
- 45:46like I'm therapy shaming, but like, you know, five months ago her
- 45:52mother passed in such an extremely unfortunate situation and beyond traumatic because then we find
- 45:58out that she was her mother was staying with her, she had gotten you
- 46:02know, she wasn't technically homeless. She said that she would be in shelters
- 46:07or rehabs and so she was like in an assisted living rehab facility, but
- 46:13that she had you know, got kicked out of there and then she SI
- 46:15had her back into her home, and that she got drunk in front of
- 46:19her kids, and that her husband, David really just pushed to make her,
- 46:24you know, kick her out and I had to like just put her
- 46:30out in her ass basically with nothing, and I got it, Like,
- 46:35I don't know what I mean. I would hate that. I would hate
- 46:38to be in size shoes, but you got to protect your kids. They
- 46:42can't be dealing with that. Yeah, nuts, I just can't even imagine.
- 46:47And I know that that's way more relatable than we'd like to think it
- 46:52is, you know, because so many families have you know, alcoholics,
- 46:57drug addicts, people who who are abusive and have but then you see the
- 47:05real you know, the person who they really are down under and but they're
- 47:09gone, you know, and so but they have this attachment to wanting to
- 47:13help them and save them and so you want to bring them in and you
- 47:15want to love them unconditionally, and you think that everything you do will help
- 47:19and will help and will help. And she said and that it was just
- 47:22terribly sad when she said that she thought it would change. She just she
- 47:27just thought it would change and changing, and then it never did. And
- 47:29then she got that call that she always you know, was dreading. But
- 47:34to think like, oh my gosh, you know, she could have saved
- 47:37her or it was her fault because she was there and then she kicked her
- 47:43out. That's a too much for something. Oh god, Now I'm remembering
- 47:45when she talked about them, remember earlier in the season, because she said
- 47:49that she had gone to the hospital and she like put her mom's makeup on
- 47:52and stuff in the hospital. Oh. Rough, yeah, rough time for
- 47:58sy. Yeah. I mean, yeah, I'm not against therapy obviously,
- 48:05I mean I'm in therapy, but and I would encourage that for her,
- 48:09just this whole grieving process. But also she's very busy, and once you
- 48:15start and she's got kids, and like, once you start taking down those
- 48:17walls, you need the space to like deal, you know, with it.
- 48:22So I just feel a little bit kind of protective of her at this
- 48:25point, because you know, putting yourself on a reality show, which I'm
- 48:30sure she didn't know her mother would have passed during this time, because I'm
- 48:36sure they would have already started production and started talking and started getting it all
- 48:38together while like she lost her mother. You know, I'm sure, I'm
- 48:45sure she would have still done the show because she's always operated compartmentalized the mom
- 48:50thing and then operated like at a thousand miles an hour also so that she
- 48:54could take care of her mom and pay for these things. Right, So
- 48:59I'm sure she would have still done this show. I don't know. I
- 49:02bet she makes time for therapy. It sounded like she well, I mean,
- 49:07she mentioned it enough, and nobody ever mentions it like that unless they're
- 49:12going to do it, so that was pretty funny though. She was like,
- 49:15this is the only therapy I've ever had. We also found out that
- 49:20she's hungry all the time because she doesn't eat meat and she lifts weights and
- 49:22she needs to eat every two to three hours. But I'm like, I
- 49:25eat meat, I don't lift weights very often, and I need to eat
- 49:29every two to three hours, So what's the difference. But there is as
- 49:32we all can say that there is such a thing as angry. And my
- 49:38god, the second Mattie gets just ornery and she I already know. I'm
- 49:45like, here's your cheese, here's your yogurt, like you need protein right
- 49:49now, and she just changes instantaneously, you know. And so basically Si
- 49:54is like a six year old. You know, you just need to give
- 49:58her protein shake. And that's the thing, Like, just have a protein
- 50:01shake on hand, you know, don't wait till it gets to that point.
- 50:04When she said that, I was like, man, she must have
- 50:07a lot of people that she's pissed off in her wake that before she discovered
- 50:13this quality about herself. And I'm like, I mean, you can pack
- 50:17trail mix. I know, why can't you pack some snacks? I'm telling
- 50:23you right now, I completely agree pack a snack and pack a snack.
- 50:29Okay, I get that way too, which is why I always pack a
- 50:32snack. I'll always have like a protein bar, i will always have a
- 50:37protein shake. I'm really good about making sure that I'm taken care of because
- 50:42I don't want to feel weak or angry. I hate that. Yeah,
- 50:45I'm making weird decisions like yeah, which is also hilarious to me because it's
- 50:51like you that she kept showing up to events thinking that there would be great
- 50:58food that she was thinking of eating, and she'd show up and beat some
- 51:02food, but not what she was thinking of eating. It's like, oh,
- 51:10no, yeah, so Gideon. Apparently all of Brinn's three engagements were
- 51:20while she was broken up with from Gideon. And so what we find out
- 51:23is that no, no, no, all three engagements were from three different
- 51:28fiances. Yeah, and the proposals happened once they had broken up, not
- 51:34all three from Gideon. No. No, I know did I say that.
- 51:37I didn't mean that. Gideon, please apologize. I'm sorry you guys,
- 51:42I own it. What I meant to say was with regards to Gideon,
- 51:47all three engagements were proposed to her while they were broken up, but
- 51:52by other men. Oh that's so much out. Okay, you probably said
- 51:58it right the first time, and I let the other men part out.
- 52:01I know I did, But I understand what she's saying now. So yes,
- 52:07that makes sense and good for her. I love what she said.
- 52:12Yeah, Like, then, if I was so great, then why didn't
- 52:15why didn't he propose to me? Like? Why is it just a reason
- 52:17to get me back. So did he never propose to her? I'm so
- 52:22confused. Gideon proposed while she was broken up with him and dating someone else
- 52:29okay, she was dating a different guy okay. And then she said,
- 52:35the worst, the worst call to make is to call your current boyfriend tell
- 52:37me you have to break up because you're engaged. Okay, yep, got
- 52:42it. Yeah, okay. And we find out that she's, you know,
- 52:49a communications marketing business plan social media managing person. So we cleared that
- 52:54up, totally cleared up to I never needed to. Yeah, she's great.
- 53:01It's so funny because like, just because you can't put somebody's profession in
- 53:06a box that you know of, you just assume they're unemployed. It's just
- 53:09funny to me because or doing something totally shady. That's the other thing,
- 53:15Like people just assume like, well, I don't know what it is,
- 53:17so they're having a lot of money. It's like because we didn't see her
- 53:22do it on the show. Yeah, so that's the problem. They need
- 53:25to show it. They need to show it. And she said, like
- 53:29that was a beef that she had I understand with like the editors that they
- 53:32did film her working maybe it was just boring, and I mean that's the
- 53:37problem. Yeah, and we didn't quite get I mean we did in episode
- 53:43one, but it seems like the big beef with her inside was that what
- 53:47SI was implying off camera about post filming that brain was, you know,
- 53:54an escort or something like allegedly, and that seems to be were there the
- 54:00real friction kept going. It's started made No one brought that up up at
- 54:07the reunion, though I thought they did in the first episode. Oh don't
- 54:12remember about the escort stuff. Really, Yeah, because there was the blowout
- 54:21from the final episode of the disclosing UBA's information about the Connecticut guy, and
- 54:29then Brynn said that her inside had not talked since then because there was fallout
- 54:36of SI continuing to talk about her in various podcasts, et cetera. And
- 54:44that also implying that how Brinn got her money was really confusing and that there
- 54:52was some it's bringing me back, it's bringing me back. See, I
- 54:57move on. You know this this is coming to an end, and I'm
- 55:00ready to close the chapter and get on into the the Bravo vortex as it
- 55:06were. So, I mean, it's great that you keep that in there.
- 55:09I I remember it all. I hold on to everything. My insides
- 55:20are like uh an ear like one of Jessel's earrings. Just holding on to
- 55:27heavy pieces. Heavy metals, Yes, many heavy metals from many dangles,
- 55:35many heavy metals, many heavy metals, except my new voice, Jessel's many
- 55:44heavy metals, many heavy metals, many heavy Metalsessels heavy metal metals. See
- 55:52it's hard ESLs Benny heavy metals, heavy metals. Look at me, I'm
- 56:00turning into tank top over here. Oh, we'll get you. We're gonna
- 56:05getcha. We're gonna getcha. We're gonna get you. I doubt it.
- 56:09I've looked at I'm a I'm a crop top. I'm Jessel crop top.
- 56:16I'm never going to be a tank top. You're a crop. I need
- 56:22this. I'm a crops are protected from a crop circle. I just really
- 56:28like, you know, just tales about the beyond and what we don't see,
- 56:31and you know the UFOs and such good conspiracy, good company with Jessel.
- 56:39What do you mean are you saying that Papa is a conspiracy, just
- 56:43saying that Sandwich is a conspiracy. That's sad, Favich, Sandwich is a
- 56:49conspiracy. He's actually going to look for alien life in Vietnam, all right.
- 56:58I didn't want to say None of us wanted to say that because we
- 57:00thought you think I'm crazy. That's what we want to hear. We want
- 57:05to hear the crazy for aliens. You're sexless, alien obsessed life. That's
- 57:20what it is. See, if you're just honest about it, we can
- 57:22respect that. Yeah, and also also be honest that it's a little weird
- 57:29what you just said, Jessel. I don't see it, okay, but
- 57:35like, what do you just what is it? The alien thing? I
- 57:39don't understand. Yeah, it's like you just said that Poppa like you've tried.
- 57:44The only thing you've told us about poppit and you is that like you
- 57:46haven't had sex since before you had twins, right, and then you said
- 57:52that he's an alien and he's in a UFO. Yeah, well, pap
- 57:57are you? I don't understand this is Andy, I got to shoot another
- 58:02cover for Rolling Stone, and this is just a woman is attacking me and
- 58:07you're like not letting me have a story. I don't understand it, just
- 58:10because you know I didn't have a hard life. You know, you're saying
- 58:15that there's no such thing as aliens. You don't believe in extraterrestrials like I
- 58:23just think it's a little I just think it's a little unusual. I'm not
- 58:27saying you didn't have a hard life. It's just that, like your husband
- 58:30isn't partial alien, I don't. This is so mean. You guys are
- 58:36ganging up on me. This is ridiculous. You're crazy. Do you hear
- 58:42what you're saying? Well, I'll be a sidetop, a cyclops, a
- 58:51cyclap yes, sound up in the comments? Are you as cyclap? Are
- 59:00you a tank top? Are you uba crop top? Or a Jean A
- 59:07Jenna Jean. We don't have one for Bryn or Aaron. Oh yeah,
- 59:15how about uh? Are you a Brin Brazier? That's a little look word
- 59:22on that. No, that's perfect. She would love to have herself be
- 59:25named after a Bezier and then Aaron. Yea, Now we can't hear Karen
- 59:31Aaron. Let's be real. Does Aaron need a group? I actually do
- 59:37like I do like Aaron Moore than I thought I would. Right. No,
- 59:45she's like a kingpin, but doesn't need her own group either. At
- 59:49the same time, you know what I mean, she's a staple but then
- 59:51yet, yeah, sound off from the comments, darling enough, what is
- 59:58a the group all you Aaron stands? What do you call yourself? Oh
- 1:00:07boy, we're delirious right now? No, I know, seriously, okay,
- 1:00:10well there's nothing else really to say. I did like seeing uh the
- 1:00:17end where it's like Jenna was like, oh, I just can I I
- 1:00:24swear to say something, and he's like, Jenna, please, Jenna jeans,
- 1:00:30let's go and what do you have? And She's like, I just
- 1:00:35I wanted to say if it's okay, yeah, I said, go ahead.
- 1:00:38I was just confused that when you guys said that no one wanted Jenna
- 1:00:43on the show, that hurt my heart, I know, because all the
- 1:00:47success everything that she has, and then and then with her right back down
- 1:00:53to where we all are in our childhood. Yep. Yeah, he's like
- 1:00:59I could tell. Like, so I was like, what she's referring to.
- 1:01:02Let me just say it. You don't belong okay, I what I
- 1:01:10mean? You're a wild card, right, I mean you are. I'm
- 1:01:13just gonna say you're don't you we said, I just said you're been in
- 1:01:15the word group. I was probably hungry. And then Jenna's like well,
- 1:01:23it's just hard to combat, you know, like when people have made assumptions
- 1:01:27about you and then like that you don't fit in and you just try to
- 1:01:30do what you can do. Fucking kill me. So sad, I'm like,
- 1:01:37how dare you guys say this about anybody? Well, it just was
- 1:01:43you could feel you could just feel it, like well, but then,
- 1:01:45in fairness, I don't think that they did say that. I think Uba
- 1:01:50I said it. She said that she was a wild card, which everyone
- 1:01:54was saying said, I don't think she'll fit into the group. Oh yeah,
- 1:01:58you're right, but side totally owned it. But it's a completely normal
- 1:02:06human mistake. You it's like that group mob mentality. You're all getting along
- 1:02:10great, you're bro you're brying out, you know, and you're just like,
- 1:02:15this is the group we're gonna give be on this show together. Oh
- 1:02:19my god, this is epic. What do you think about wings is China?
- 1:02:22Like, don't meany know anything about Jenna? The series? Hinges on
- 1:02:27that? Yeah, I mean that's what do you think about the sidebar?
- 1:02:31Yeah? Without a sidebar, you don't have reality TV? Right, So
- 1:02:37yeah, I mean, but it's so it hurt my heart to see Jenna.
- 1:02:40I know, I hated that. I thought it, I felt it.
- 1:02:45You don't want it. No one wants to hear that. You know.
- 1:02:46Anyway, It's fine, everyone's hanging out. It's okay. The Jenna
- 1:02:51jeans will be fine. The sidebars will be I mean, the side colopses
- 1:02:54will be fine. The brin Bras, the brin Bras will be fine.
- 1:03:00Yeah, and Emily, at the end of the season, what did you
- 1:03:04learn in the mirror? Oh, we should just say uber hats, Uber
- 1:03:07hats will be fine. What did I you know? What I actually was?
- 1:03:15I wrote down that, dude, it was Charlie with the question.
- 1:03:17I was like, good question, Charlie, Yeah, and he was like,
- 1:03:22we have Charlie. I think it was. I wrote that down that
- 1:03:27I thought it was great. What did I learn? I learned that I
- 1:03:29like this new cast and I want them all to return. I could be
- 1:03:32on an island, and that island is Manhattan, but I really think that
- 1:03:38they were great and I want to see more of them. I thought they
- 1:03:43were great too, and I do too. I'm excited. I say this
- 1:03:46is it was nice to get that first reunion like out of their system,
- 1:03:51their first season, out of their system. And I think the next season,
- 1:03:53should they keep the entire cast? And I hope they do that.
- 1:03:59I really think it'll be a great season. Yeah, it'll it'll be interesting
- 1:04:05for them to add one person. I don't know who that will be,
- 1:04:10but it will be interesting to see them with a new person. Oh yeah,
- 1:04:14they we could use a new person, a new person, mm hmm.
- 1:04:18And that's an old school I always kind of love that. I would
- 1:04:24love that too. Yeah. M So, Emily, we're going to end
- 1:04:30our show now and well, actually the recap portion of it, and next
- 1:04:34up because this is going to be are we writing an episode we recapped and
- 1:04:41now Amy and I are going to write an episode with you. Yes,
- 1:04:45we're going to segue into that comment below. No, I have another episode
- 1:04:53of After the Drama where I will be interviewing one of the founders twenty one
- 1:05:00Seeds, Tequila, who is the sponsor for my Cabarem in Las Vegas.
- 1:05:04And so right now I'm gonna pivot POVT into cat Hantas and Emily, I'll
- 1:05:12see you later. Bye Drama Darling. Hello, everybody, welcome to After
- 1:05:25the Drama. This is the segment that has been realized, has been discovered.
- 1:05:30I only have very incredible people on this part of the show where we
- 1:05:35talk about it's basically women supporting women. Okay, whatever I'm passionate about and
- 1:05:41whomver I'm passionate about. And today I am lucky enough to have one of
- 1:05:45the founders of twenty one seeds infused tequila with me, Cat hantas Hi Cat
- 1:05:54round of Applaza. Everyone's standing up all my life. I'm so excited you're
- 1:06:04here and just thrilled that. I mean, obviously we support everybody, all
- 1:06:12genders, but I mean you are part of a female owned business, which
- 1:06:16I think deserves a standing ovation. And also I just really want to talk
- 1:06:21to you about your brand, about our amazing collaboration because as people know,
- 1:06:29because you're listening to this podcast, you know that Cabaremy is sponsored by twenty
- 1:06:32one Zeeds. So this is going to be in Las Vegas and it's coming
- 1:06:36up the weekend of Bravo Kan. This is something that I'm doing on my
- 1:06:42own and I'm so happy to be paired up with you guys. Oh babe,
- 1:06:46I mean I think we manifested this, like right, like I put
- 1:06:49it up on a Pinterest board and thought about it and thought about it,
- 1:06:54and like this has got to happen. This is going to happen. I
- 1:06:56cannot tell you how excited we are for the show like we are. I
- 1:07:02mean it's like I think Bravo Con to start with is like the super Bowl
- 1:07:05for for for women. I mean, yeah, girl, yes, it's
- 1:07:12everything. And then the show, your show. I was like, oh,
- 1:07:15we have got to be involved with the show. It's just it marries
- 1:07:19everything we love about everything, truly, truly, truly, truly, and
- 1:07:26you know, I was like I reached out to my one of my best
- 1:07:29gays, Danny, and I was just like, who, Like, how
- 1:07:30do I do happen to know? Amy, Like come on, and He's
- 1:07:33just like, yes, yes, yes, let me put you in touch,
- 1:07:38right Danny, go Danny Pasman, cry baby Media. He's out there
- 1:07:43making like great reality TV that we want right waiting. He still needs to
- 1:07:48get like his honey boo boo, because I need him to like really make
- 1:07:51it big and fire up a PJ for us so we can like fly around
- 1:07:57so all this stuff on a private plane. You guys can have where pj's
- 1:08:00and the PJ and just do it up exactly exactly, but I can't believe
- 1:08:05you know you like when you set out to do something, you never know
- 1:08:09how it's gonna end up. And like, I just love that we made
- 1:08:12this happen because I know the brands that belong together better than you and twenty
- 1:08:17one seats like I know. And also I happened to love tequila and I
- 1:08:25so when we first started talking and and I was like, so, how
- 1:08:29did you come up with this? And and I just fell out of my
- 1:08:32chair because your story is so unique and it and it really made me laugh.
- 1:08:35So I have to we have to share this with the darlings. You
- 1:08:41know, years ago, this story began because one day you went to your
- 1:08:45doctor, right, Yeah, no, totally. So I like to say
- 1:08:49that I joke. It started with a drinking a drinking problem. I literally
- 1:08:55was drinking wine and one day that just stopped, Agreen with me. Turns
- 1:08:59out I'm not alone. There are a lot of a lot of folks out
- 1:09:01there that just you know, have in trouble metabolizing wine. And went to
- 1:09:08my doctor. And again this is me. I am not saying that this
- 1:09:12would be the case with every doctor that every person goes to. I'm not
- 1:09:15a doctor. I am not making medical claims here, but for me personally,
- 1:09:19I went to my doctor. I was like, what's happening to me?
- 1:09:21Like why am I sweating? And why am I I'm not sleeping while
- 1:09:24all these things? And he's just like, just stopped drinking fermented spirits,
- 1:09:27c and omer wine, beer, champagne, sake and move over to a
- 1:09:30skilled spirit. And I was like like what And he's like, like blanco
- 1:09:34tequila and that just like oh, I was like ooh, Like on a
- 1:09:40Tuesday night, I'm going to drink blanco tequila That a sounds aggressive, that
- 1:09:44doesn't sound as delicious as my glass of wine, Like none of that sounds
- 1:09:47like a good trade off. But I went home, stopped drinking wine,
- 1:09:51felt better, and thought, what am I going to do to this blanco
- 1:09:56tequila to just make it as easy to drink as a glass of wine?
- 1:09:59Right? And I look forward to and I love to cook. I started
- 1:10:02infusing it right, just throwing stuff. I grabbed a britta, took out
- 1:10:05the guts of the britta uh, and just started infusing it with like literally
- 1:10:10the way that you'd make sungria right like through in and the first diffusion that
- 1:10:15I made actually was cucumbers and jalapeno's and oh my gosh, I know this
- 1:10:19is crazy and because like it's never the first time the charm right or whatever,
- 1:10:25but that's one of the that's one of the flavors. They have three
- 1:10:28and I mean everybody loves the cue color hilapenio, Like that's such a huge
- 1:10:32hit. Yeah, the first infusion, you did, first infusion, So
- 1:10:35it was the cucumber jalapeno, which is our number one cellar. We have
- 1:10:40Valencia orange, which is actually that's me too, me too, that's my
- 1:10:45that's my favorite one because you I just I literally I'll pour the Valencia orange
- 1:10:50one ounce of Valencia or like one shot of Valencia orange, fifty nine calories,
- 1:10:55top it off with some club soda, Take a giant orange slice,
- 1:10:58rub the inside of a wineglass. Put all that in a wine glass,
- 1:11:00make it sprits. That's fifty nine calories. So you're half the calories of
- 1:11:04the glass of wine. All flavor that you want, light easy, You're
- 1:11:09about the alcohol content as a glass of wine. So it's like it's amazing.
- 1:11:13And that's what I switched to. Like that is literally I went from
- 1:11:16drinking wine to drinking these what I call them now seed and sodas, which
- 1:11:20are just twenty one seeds spritzes, and they're colories of glass of wine.
- 1:11:25They taste amazing, They're easy to make. And if I'm entertaining at home,
- 1:11:29like I'll just put out a seed and soda bar, especially now that
- 1:11:31we're going into holiday, Like you can all just put out all three infusions.
- 1:11:36So we have the Valencia orange, the grapefruit hibiscus, and the cucumbrall
- 1:11:41opano, I'll put those out. I'll put out a bunch of different club
- 1:11:44sodas, some that have flavor, some that don't. And then just like
- 1:11:46a charcuterie board of garnishes, like I'm obsessed with these boards. Are you
- 1:11:50dying like all the like the butterboards that deservedly have shar shout outs on my
- 1:11:56show, I mean, yeah, keep talking, So tell me, please
- 1:12:00walk me through your charcoterie board right now. It is my charcuteri board of
- 1:12:05garnishes. And what I do is I start with my sicknesses, right,
- 1:12:09and I like to put in all different shapes, full circles that are thinly
- 1:12:12sliced of the lemons and the limes, I like a quarter square wedge of
- 1:12:16a grapefruit, and then oranges, so I'll do then I'll do Then I
- 1:12:21move over to my dehydrated so I'll do dehydrated pineapple and oranges. I don't
- 1:12:27like the dehydrated limes as much, you guys. They kind of stinky,
- 1:12:30So I pose fresh lines. Then I move into my fresh herbs. So
- 1:12:34I've got my basil, I've got my terragon, which is like nice and
- 1:12:39lemony, and I'll do mint, right, so you got the And then
- 1:12:45I'll do like if it's holiday, I'll throw in like some cinnamon sticks and
- 1:12:48some cranberries stuff like that to throw in there. And then if it's like
- 1:12:54during the summer, like if we're moving into like spring and stuff, I'll
- 1:12:58do like fresh like strawberries, like whole strawberries, and like I might do
- 1:13:02like lee cheese or things like that, like just exotically. Oh that's a
- 1:13:06good idea because those are super like popular, like really tread. And then
- 1:13:13what I'll do like so now we're heading into Halloween, so I'll even do
- 1:13:15like just candies, like I'll do like pop rocks so you can dip your
- 1:13:19you can rim your glass and pop rocks. If you want, like edible
- 1:13:24glitter, I'll throw a little bit of edible glitter on the board and like
- 1:13:28gummy worms, like Swedish fish, stuff like that. I love doing For
- 1:13:32Valentine's I'll do the wax lips things like that on the board too, And
- 1:13:39then I put out all kinds of different glassware so that you can, you
- 1:13:43know, people can, like if you're a rocks person, some people don't
- 1:13:45want to carry, you know, wine glass like I'll do. I'll do
- 1:13:48like a tall Collins glass, which is like a tall thin one. So
- 1:13:53so literally, I don't have a I never hire a bartender. I just
- 1:13:56put out the seed and soda bar with the garnishes, the different glassware,
- 1:14:00ice, and I'll usually throw in one juice in case somebody wants to add
- 1:14:04like a splash a juice to it, right, and the number of drinks,
- 1:14:10Like you look around the party and everyone's holding a different glass. The
- 1:14:14drinks look different, they all have different garnishes, and it says if I've
- 1:14:16hired this incredible mixologist and we're doing it all yourself, it's a diy bar.
- 1:14:23Oh my gosh, that's amazing. It's like when you go to one
- 1:14:26of those yogurt bars and you add all the toppings. See I've never seen,
- 1:14:30you know, a garnish's charcuterie board. I think that's so brilliant and
- 1:14:34it makes it really fun for people because they can just kind of mix and
- 1:14:38match and make their own. What what would you put the cranberries and cinnamon
- 1:14:43sticks in? So if you were to do so, I would do that
- 1:14:45with the Valencia orange, right, So again I would do a orange with
- 1:14:48that, and then I might put out you know, like a like an
- 1:14:53orange juice so that if somebody wants to add a splash of orange juice,
- 1:14:56then with the cinnamon and the and the cranberries, that would be good.
- 1:14:59Or if you're putting out a pomegranate juice right then you could do a splash
- 1:15:02of pomegranate for like as you go into the festive, you know, into
- 1:15:05fall and like into the holidays. That would be pretty, that would look.
- 1:15:10And I would put that at the bottom, like I always like to
- 1:15:12pour the juice in first the bottom so it kind of gives ombray effect or
- 1:15:17juice, add the tequila and then top with club soda and you get that
- 1:15:20nice like omebrate and then you throw in you know, the either the cinnamon
- 1:15:27stick or you were going to do the cranberries or pomegranates or all those sort
- 1:15:30of festive looking you know in tarragonza. Pretty spice for that rosemary with orange
- 1:15:35is delicious. Actually, that's actually that is such a good By the way,
- 1:15:41for brunch, we do have another recipe though, you guys that you
- 1:15:44have to come to all the darlings have to come to our website and look
- 1:15:48this recipe up. This is going to be your go to punch for any
- 1:15:54any brunch or holiday that you do. And this one's interesting. It's our
- 1:15:59seed in site. And here's the deal with it. God buckle up,
- 1:16:02emy I love cider. Okay, you keep talking. Here's what it is.
- 1:16:09Basically, you do two shots of the Valencia orange pots of apple cider,
- 1:16:17and then a quarter ounce of simple syrup, orange juice, and lemon
- 1:16:24juice. A quarter aroounds simple, quarter ounce lemon, quarter ounce of orange.
- 1:16:29Okay, so it's very very little. Quarter ounce is so a half
- 1:16:32ounce is one tablespoon, So it's half a tablespoon of each of the other
- 1:16:35three ingredients. So two shots of the Valencia orange sequila, two shots of
- 1:16:42apple cider, half tablespoon of simple, half tablespoon of orange juice, half
- 1:16:48tablespoon of lemon juice. You mix all that together. When I tell you
- 1:16:54that it is like the best tasting thing you've ever tasted in your life,
- 1:17:00It's like it doesn't actually taste like apple, you know, like you really
- 1:17:05taste it's like a It's almost like a delicious capriso. I don't even know
- 1:17:11how to describe it. I'm doing it tonight also literally to day I am.
- 1:17:15We're working on the drink menus, which we already have settled what we're
- 1:17:19going to have, but I wanted to have two other specialty drinks at just
- 1:17:26the after party, and so one that's called the Drama Dolling and one that's
- 1:17:31for Pink Shade podcasts. That's gonna be called the Pink Shady. So for
- 1:17:35mine, I want to do that. You are gonna this drink like it's
- 1:17:42dangerous, like it's so good, it's so so good. And that one
- 1:17:46is great, like you can batch it big time and throw throw like cinnamon
- 1:17:50sticks into that one, fresh oranges, dehydrated and oranges. Wow. And
- 1:17:55it's pretty too, really pretty and really festive. So festive for Halloween we've
- 1:18:00got coming up and Thanksgiving and then going into the holidays. It is so
- 1:18:04so good. It's delicious. I cannot even I can't even stress it enough.
- 1:18:10Like we sent it to Clinton Kelly and he drank it, and his
- 1:18:13reaction literally he would He made it for Thanksgiving and he took a zip of
- 1:18:15it and he literally was like, oh yeah, now can you like heat
- 1:18:27up like if it was a hot sider, you could you do it?
- 1:18:30Oh stop? What you would do is so there on that one. What
- 1:18:33you want to do is you want to heat everything except for the tequila.
- 1:18:36So het the tequila out and add that last because you boil it, then
- 1:18:42you're going to boil offhol Yeah, you heat everything else nice and hot,
- 1:18:46and then you adda and then you can serve it hot. And we've done
- 1:18:49that. We served it in teacups like that with like a dehydrated orange like
- 1:18:55for a brunch. We've totally done that. So cute. It's super super
- 1:18:59cute. And you can like stirt with a cinnamon stick, like you give
- 1:19:00everyone like a cinnamon stick and like a slight a thin slice of lemon or
- 1:19:05orange like floating on the top it's amazing. Oh my gosh, Well,
- 1:19:10people who are coming to the after party are going to be in for a
- 1:19:14delightful surprise because I want to have that one there. Oh my god,
- 1:19:16you're gonna like that would be amazing. Yeah, that's where it all started.
- 1:19:21I mean, I you know, necessity is the motherhood of invention,
- 1:19:27right, and that's exactly what happened to you. But what was interesting to
- 1:19:30me, and what you had pointed out when you told me your story,
- 1:19:32was that you had done this. You were infusing your own tequila, doing
- 1:19:36this for probably upwards of like ten years. Yeah, this was not an
- 1:19:42overnight success story, right me early exactly. So I was just making it
- 1:19:45for myself and my friends, like, and sort of word got out that
- 1:19:48I was making this infused tequila, and so many of my thought over at
- 1:19:53Cat's house, Like everyone's at your door, like, hey, what do
- 1:19:55you got cooking? You can imagine my poor husband's like what is happening our
- 1:20:00kitchen? Like what are all these big huge jars of infusions? You know,
- 1:20:04it was like a scien It was like a like drinking Seine's lab,
- 1:20:09right. But I noticed that, like, you know, so many of
- 1:20:12my girlfriends and my gay friends. A lot of my gays and my girls,
- 1:20:15they were all literally like switching from you know, wine and champagne in
- 1:20:20particular, and then beer for the same reasons, right they and and different
- 1:20:25like some of them just were looking to drink lower carb less sugar whatever it
- 1:20:28was. They were all coming over to and finding that it was just harsh,
- 1:20:31right, Like I was buying and there were they were also buying good
- 1:20:34Tequila's not that we were buying like rock rock got like got rock tequila,
- 1:20:39right Like, we were all buying good tequila, because that's what we were
- 1:20:42drinking. But it was all harsh, right, It just and you had
- 1:20:45to do so much to it to make it, to smooth it out,
- 1:20:49and a you know, at the end of the day, I just want
- 1:20:51to relax and unwind. I don't want to have to like mix a cocktail
- 1:20:55every time. I just want to be easy, yes, right, that's
- 1:20:58what this infused tequila was allowing me to do. It was like it didn't
- 1:21:00smell like tequila anymore. It smelled like the amazing you know, fresh things
- 1:21:04I was infusing it with and it was just so easy to use. And
- 1:21:10they were finding the same thing. So they were like, can you just
- 1:21:13make me a batge? Can you make me a badge? And so I
- 1:21:15was just doing that for years, Like it was nine years before I even
- 1:21:18thought to turn it into a business. You know, I was raising the
- 1:21:23kids and I was at home and didn't have you know, I couldn't even
- 1:21:26imagine. I mean, look, you have your own. It's like I
- 1:21:29couldn't even imagine the undertaking to start a business, right Like, and if
- 1:21:35I thought about it, like, how the heck do you started te quil
- 1:21:39a company? You know what I mean, how did you start to deal
- 1:21:42a company? Like well, if someone said you should sell this and you
- 1:21:45were like, huh, all right, so then what do you do?
- 1:21:47Well exactly. So the first thing I did was I was like, I'm
- 1:21:50going to need some partners, right cause, like there's no way that I
- 1:21:55could do this on my own. Okay. You know, I had just
- 1:21:57kind of been out of the game for so long, Like I had worked
- 1:22:00in entertainment for fifteen years, but then it took time off to be with
- 1:22:02the kids, and like, I've just been out of the business game for
- 1:22:05so long. Like I was like I wouldn't even know where to like start,
- 1:22:09how do you write a business plan, how do you like come up
- 1:22:11with a model to like figure out, you know, the cost of everything.
- 1:22:14And then also just like where does one make tequila? You know,
- 1:22:16it's certainly not made in the US. And at that point I had no
- 1:22:19idea about any of it. So I approached my sister, who you know,
- 1:22:25at the time was the CFO of like this huge company, and I
- 1:22:29was like, you know that tequila that I've been making for you all these
- 1:22:31years. I'm like, any chance you want to starts to kill a company
- 1:22:33with me, and She's like, hell, yeah, let's go. Let's
- 1:22:38do it. She was totally game. And then we were like, we
- 1:22:42need help, like we need to figure out how you actually make it.
- 1:22:45And it turns out I had I had We had this good friend who worked
- 1:22:48in this in the food space, developing food, you know, helping companies
- 1:22:54like go from the kitchen to the grocery store shelf, and so she in
- 1:22:59food and because we were using real ingredients, I thought, uh, you
- 1:23:02know, maybe she'll be able to like translate those skills over and do it.
- 1:23:06And so we asked Sarca. So Nicole is my sister, and Sarca
- 1:23:11as our other co founder, and we just were like, hey, Sarka.
- 1:23:14One day, I remember we were at lunch and I was like,
- 1:23:15you want to start to kill a company with Nicole and I and she's like
- 1:23:17yeah, because she'd also been having the tequila at my house all these years.
- 1:23:21Unbelievable here tequila. And then we then we set out on the journey
- 1:23:27of like figuring out where tequila's made and you know, who we could partner
- 1:23:31with to actually do this, and and then think like okay, once you
- 1:23:36make it, like how do you sell it? And you know, what
- 1:23:39are what's all that about? And so that was like a whole a whole
- 1:23:43journey. You know, how long would you say that took? So from
- 1:23:47the time that we out loud set it, which is always say something out
- 1:23:51loud, you know, and then it starts to get going right to bringing
- 1:23:57it to market, it took us, uh about a year and a half.
- 1:24:02Yeah, I mean I know that it sounds like, I mean,
- 1:24:04I'm sure when you were going through it, it probably was pretty grueling,
- 1:24:09and I mean in it every step of the way, but that is phenomenal.
- 1:24:14Yeah, it was pretty It was pretty fast, but we were pretty
- 1:24:16you know I think part of it was that, you know, the three
- 1:24:19of us each kind of had our own lane, and like if anyone's out
- 1:24:24there, any of the darlings are like thinking about starting a business like a
- 1:24:28I highly recommend getting partners. Partners are awesome. You can like bounce ideas.
- 1:24:32You can complain to them in a way that you can't with your friend
- 1:24:35group. You know, like your friends kind of get tired of hearing about
- 1:24:39your thing. You can't this, you know, but your partners you And
- 1:24:44it was great that we were all moms, Like the three of us were
- 1:24:45all moms, so we had that in common and the constraints of trying to
- 1:24:51do that, you know while being a mom, and then with like Nicole
- 1:24:56and Sarka because Nicole was working full time, Soarca was working part time.
- 1:24:59Just all of that. It's like your side hustle and like when your side
- 1:25:01hustle becomes your main hustle, you know, and sort of knowing when that
- 1:25:04actually officially is and you need to focus on the side hustles the full time
- 1:25:09thing. But but anyway, so we literally like each of us like I
- 1:25:16hate doing all the things that Nicole loves to do, right, like everything
- 1:25:20she loves to do. I cannot stand at all like hills on a cookboard,
- 1:25:27you know, horrible. And so that was the thing. It was
- 1:25:30like we each had our own lane, and I think that's how we were
- 1:25:33able to do it so quickly. We weren't like on top of each other,
- 1:25:36my bridge. We trusted each other to do what that, you know,
- 1:25:42whatever your tasks were, we just trusted that they would get done and
- 1:25:46we did, you know, and that that made it so that we can
- 1:25:49get to market quickly. And then when we came to market, like we
- 1:25:55it's a very The spirits industry in the US is highly regulated, you know,
- 1:26:00and each state operates differently. We launched in California, and we really
- 1:26:04went after like the chains, right, like Whole Foods and Safe Way and
- 1:26:11all the grocery stores and like Walmart and Target and all the places that we
- 1:26:15thought our girl was would buy booze right because we didn't think the girl was
- 1:26:20going to buy it like maybe the independent liquor store, like she's going to
- 1:26:25buy it where she's buying the rest of her groceries. And so we were
- 1:26:28really focused on like being there, and in that regard, we were like
- 1:26:32Okay, well, we need to hire someone who really has those relationships in
- 1:26:38the chains and that's where we want to be. So we want to hire
- 1:26:41someone who can open that door for us and get us into the room with
- 1:26:45the buyer and we could pitch our story of and it really made sense because
- 1:26:49once and that's what we did. We took like our money that we had
- 1:26:53and we made like this huge hire in this woman, another woman Mel,
- 1:26:58who was incredible and she just love to sell, like she leaves and breathed
- 1:27:03selling and she was really good at it and just was able to get us
- 1:27:08into the room with these buyers. And once we got into the room with
- 1:27:11the buyers, we were like, hey, listen, we have this tequila.
- 1:27:15We're really marketing it. You know, we're really going after women who
- 1:27:17are looking for an alternative to wine, right, and isn't one out there
- 1:27:23that is smooth, easy to use, easy to you know, it's easy
- 1:27:28to drink, and it's not harsh. You know a lot of times when
- 1:27:30the spirit's industry thought like, Okay, we don't want girls don't like harsh,
- 1:27:34so they want sweet, and it's like, no, no, we
- 1:27:36don't want sweete That is so true it's often put on us that it's like,
- 1:27:43oh, we just want something girly, and it's like, no,
- 1:27:45we actually some people like sweet great, but we don't need it to be
- 1:27:50so full of sweetness. We actually have a more sophisticated balete. It's like
- 1:27:55we just wanted to smooth and balance. That's all right, We're just smooth
- 1:27:59and smooth and me. And now the thing I'm the most focused on is
- 1:28:02actually bars and restaurants, right because, like, how often have you walked
- 1:28:06into a bar restaurant ordered a margarita? First thing you probably say is can
- 1:28:10you make it less sweet? Like, yeah, make it sweet, and
- 1:28:15and then you don't really get what you're looking for. And like, we
- 1:28:18want twenty one Seeds to change that in making it easier for these bartenders to
- 1:28:23make that margarita for you with less in it, you don't need stuff Like
- 1:28:28if you think about what's in a regular margarita, it's usually a tequila,
- 1:28:31lime juice, simple syrup, and some triple sec right, Well, the
- 1:28:34triple is like an orange liqueur, so you can just get rid of that
- 1:28:39in our margarita. You don't need to put that in it. And that,
- 1:28:42by the way, is like full of just high fructose corn syrup.
- 1:28:45The Triple Sects got the high fruit doose corn syrup, tons of calories.
- 1:28:47You don't need it. We're looking with orange, so you've got that in
- 1:28:51there already. And so you can just use our twenty one seeds Valencia orange
- 1:28:58and simple syrup and fresh lime juice one tablespoon of each. You've got a
- 1:29:02perfect margarita. And it's skinny just because it just is. It's just so
- 1:29:08much, you know, less caloric than a regular margarita you're gonna get at
- 1:29:11a bar restaurant. And then our spicy margarita, which is so popular now,
- 1:29:15Like if you look at all the father shows, right, it's the
- 1:29:16number one. That's the thing they all order, are drinking spicy mart everyone,
- 1:29:24right, And like you can do that with twenty one seeds. You
- 1:29:27can use our again, two shots of our cucumber jullapano, one tablespoon a
- 1:29:30simple syrup, one tablespoon of lime juice. You've got a perfect spicy mark
- 1:29:35every single time. People are so into clean eating right now is what they
- 1:29:41call it. And this is really like clean drinking, you know, So
- 1:29:45I mean that's not something that people think about because there is a whole thing
- 1:29:50there. It's a whole other topic of conversation. So I love it.
- 1:29:57I personally love it. I actually have an unboxing to do because twenty one
- 1:30:00Seeds sending me some stuff for my cabarety and so I literally just got this.
- 1:30:08It is this unbelievable. Cat's got it too. It's like this Stanley
- 1:30:13cup with it. Oh my gosh, I'm gonna have this in my show.
- 1:30:16I'm gonna be drinking it. Cheir's not so great. The only thing
- 1:30:20is I should have said, wait, I'm always there. It should say
- 1:30:25this might have tequila in it. That's what it's just getting right here.
- 1:30:29This might be it's missing. I love that. That's really funny. And
- 1:30:33then also these hats do we talk about these Stanley cups by the way,
- 1:30:38how great these cups are with the straw size. The straw size is so
- 1:30:43great. It's totally just a going and going and going. But it really
- 1:30:47is like the perfect size. You end up drinking so much water, like
- 1:30:50you know, fast hydrated. You're so hydrated with this. I'm so excited
- 1:30:56because I don't have my own Stanley cup. Yay, now you have it.
- 1:31:00I know I'm so And it's so funny too because my I have one.
- 1:31:03My daughter has one of course, because she's got like the school thermoss
- 1:31:06and things like that. So I'm like, I'm gonna invest in the Stanley
- 1:31:09cup one and and then I tried to get one for myself, but then
- 1:31:13it was the order was canceled, so I never got it because it was
- 1:31:15a pretty specific one. Anyway, the point is it was meant to be,
- 1:31:19because it was it's supposed to be this. This is the best,
- 1:31:25This trucker hat. Girls call the shots and they sent me this as well,
- 1:31:30so I will be wow, it's you. I love this hat.
- 1:31:34I've just got it and I've worn it like already to pick up and drop
- 1:31:40off. And I mean, how true is that statement? Well, it's
- 1:31:45it's one million percent true. And it's so fitting. It's so fitting girls,
- 1:31:47colleeh it's so fitting for your brand obviously because it's female owned and created,
- 1:31:54but it's also and and I know your target audience I mean is everybody,
- 1:31:58but you do really hone in on what women want and so for that
- 1:32:02reason, brilliant and so at the show, I'm gonna definitely have some of
- 1:32:08these at the after party and I've got some tots too. They really helped
- 1:32:13me up with a lot of stuff. I'm very excited. I love our
- 1:32:15schwag. Guys. We've got a good little sweatsuit outfit to like a jumper,
- 1:32:19like a great like the sweatshirt and then the sweats and that says girls
- 1:32:24call the shots down the leg. It's awesome. We've got great shwag.
- 1:32:30And then we had the sneakers that we run and we've got another fun Be

- 1:33:38sneak in. You might have to like leave it back to you know,

- 1:34:00party. But we will find our way into even if we have to,
- 1:34:03like I don't know, have Doug hide us or something or sneak like some
- 1:34:10we have to do. How great is Doug Puden you're gonna be? I
- 1:34:14think you're probably hopefully going to be their Thursday and Friday night of my show.
- 1:34:16And you know Doug is doing a little cameo on my show. Oh
- 1:34:20yeah, we've been dming. We've been like crazy people on the dms,
- 1:34:25like freaking hilarious. He's so brilliant. What I have to ask you too,
- 1:34:30because we didn't get we just scratched his surface. But Bravo shows you
- 1:34:33watch Southern charm. That's your jam, total Southern charm, girl. I
- 1:34:38can't you. I'm so obsessed. I cannot get enough of it. I
- 1:34:43love it. I love Craig. I love how honest Craig is tells it
- 1:34:46like it is. At twenty one Seeds, we're all about like tell like
- 1:34:50it as audience, Like that is our girl, that's our guy. Like
- 1:34:54if your tell like it is, you are a twenty one seeds drinker,
- 1:34:56and Craig just tells it like it is. I don't freaking love Craig and
- 1:35:00Paige. I love I love them both, love Paige And I was like,
- 1:35:04I watched Winterhouse the other night, I'm like, oh no, Craig
- 1:35:09and Page, I'm like, well, I guess because they're but they might
- 1:35:12be doing a cameo on Winterhouse because I thought I saw a still shot of
- 1:35:15them, so maybe they're going to pop in. Okay, good because I
- 1:35:20really love them. I'm also there for Chef like I'm all, like,
- 1:35:26who else is he going to hit on? Like I'm here, like I
- 1:35:29want to see it happen. I hope he's there. I I was going
- 1:35:33to marry and she's like, Chep hit on me. I'm like what,
- 1:35:36Like what's happening? Is just like that guy's never getting married, like no
- 1:35:45appearance, So I don't under like that's an interesting I like esther peral needs
- 1:35:51to like dig into him or something, you know, like for sure,
- 1:35:57I think you know what would be great. I think we should do a
- 1:35:59ship like I loved it. Shep as like the arranged Bachelor, right,
- 1:36:03Like do a version of a Bachelor, but make it an arranged marriage version
- 1:36:09the person and literally instead of Friday who leaves the episode every week, we
- 1:36:15have a panel of judges and there's like a best friend, a relationship therapist,
- 1:36:19and a family member and those three people decide who gets the rose every
- 1:36:25week and who doesn't. And at the end, it's brilliant. The girl
- 1:36:29that's left for Shep is somebody that he has no choice on, and I
- 1:36:32think that would be amazing. I would love to watch that show. I
- 1:36:35would love it take away Shep's free will and force him into marriage. So
- 1:36:40that's kind of like love at first Sight meets the Bachelor, correct exactly,
- 1:36:45Amy. I think it's a it's happening they did. That reminds me they
- 1:36:50did have RELATIONSHP on. That was a spin off for a little while for
- 1:36:55a little while, but that was like still up to the right. So
- 1:36:59as he can't be in che she can't be in charge. It's got to
- 1:37:01be twenty one seeds and this panel of people are in charge. Yeah,
- 1:37:06it will be tequila. There will absolutely be okay, will be tequila.
- 1:37:11It'll be okay. Well, I'm so excited to see you at Cavaremi and
- 1:37:18I'm I'm happy for you to share this story and like and maybe at some
- 1:37:23point too in the future we can get like a Q and a going from
- 1:37:29some of the people who listen to the podcast on you know, business or
- 1:37:30whatever, because I know that there's so much that you can share and by
- 1:37:35way of like everything you've experienced as a woman in the space in the field
- 1:37:40of liquor, which yeah, would you say is typically more of a male
- 1:37:45dominated field, Yeah, one hundred percent, right, and it's it's not
- 1:37:48only male dominated, but then within tequila it was it was so male dominated.
- 1:37:53I mean, we're we have a I think seventy five percent of our
- 1:37:57consumers or women, which is unheard of for tequila, right, Like those
- 1:38:00are numbers you like wine, right, But I actually think the fact that
- 1:38:06we were outsiders that we had this. You know, we didn't come from
- 1:38:11spirits at all, the three of us, so anything the way that you
- 1:38:14normally do things in spirits, Like, we didn't think about those things at
- 1:38:17all, right, we just sort of said, hey, we you know,
- 1:38:20I noticed that, Like, so again, so many of my girlfriends
- 1:38:24were switching from wine and champagne over to tequila and loving my infused tequila that
- 1:38:29I was making, and they were drinking it in a sprits right, like
- 1:38:32they were drinking like what what was Cat's tequila now is twenty one seeds with
- 1:38:36club soda again in a wine glass with a slice of citrus. And nobody
- 1:38:42was really talking to her in an authentic way in the tequila aisle, you
- 1:38:46know, kind of solving all her pain points, which was sort of like,
- 1:38:49okay, can I buy it where I shop? Do? That's great?
- 1:38:54Yes, you can show me how to use it, which we did
- 1:38:57through our Instagram. Like again, if you go to twenty one seeds Instagram,
- 1:39:00we're always always pushing out easy at home cocktail recipes that you would use
- 1:39:08when you're planning, like your events that you plan, like your social gatherings
- 1:39:12right whether that's like a girl's night in or a tailgate party like football season
- 1:39:15right now. So we do tons around tailgating, you know, Valentine's Gallantinees,
- 1:39:19Thanksgiving, friendsgiving, you know, like we're always thinking about occasions,
- 1:39:25and like all of that stuff was not really happening in the spirit's industry before
- 1:39:30we got there. So we brought this like, hey, we're three women
- 1:39:32who love to entertain and socialize with our friends and you know, our girlfriends
- 1:39:36and our friends, and we brought that perspective to how we marketed the brand.
- 1:39:42And that's all that's really was our secret sauce. Like we didn't we
- 1:39:45weren't doing focus groups or doing polls or any that kind of stuff. We
- 1:39:48just said, like, Okay, we know what we're looking for, we
- 1:39:51know what our pain points are. And we know where we want to buy
- 1:39:55a tequila, we know where how we want to use, like how we
- 1:39:58celebrate, And that's what we did. That's what we focused on. That
- 1:40:01was the winning recipe for us. Yeah, focusing on a niche, focusing
- 1:40:05on a much needed space, and then having all the not having people do
- 1:40:12their specific jobs, having that partnership, and then investing what you've built up
- 1:40:17into the one, you know, golden coin of that person who helped get
- 1:40:23you in the room places and then seeing that clear vision you know that you
- 1:40:29stood out among probably a sea of people always pitching the same thing. Oh
- 1:40:34yeah, and that's it's funny you say, see because I used to always
- 1:40:38say when I'd walk in the tequila out, it's sort of like the sea
- 1:40:41of sameness. Like I would see all the tequila bottles kind of looked the
- 1:40:45same, they all kind of look here branding. I love the way the
- 1:40:47bottles look, the colors, everything about it. And I'm so happy to
- 1:40:53hear you see that, because that was the goal, right. I was
- 1:40:55like, I want I want our bottle to like look, nobody puts baby
- 1:40:59in the corner, right like we want her to stand out. I want
- 1:41:02her to feel my crazy dog just go. We want her you we want
- 1:41:08we wanted. We sort of like thought, like, you know, this
- 1:41:11is so giftable. This is such a great thing to bring to someone's house
- 1:41:15instead of a bottle of wine, right, and so you want to feel
- 1:41:17proud and like you want to present the person with something beautiful, And that
- 1:41:23was really in the back of our mind when we thought about the design of
- 1:41:25the bottle. We wanted it to be really really pretty and like in its
- 1:41:29simplicity also, right, Like it's not like super over the top or anything.
- 1:41:33It's just really beautifully done. And we're inspired by like perfume bottles and
- 1:41:36like and this idea that like, you know, listen, you're going to
- 1:41:41someone's house instead of as to skift being like a bottle of wine. Are
- 1:41:45you coming to someone's house for dinner, Like, bring this bottle of twenty
- 1:41:48one seeds instead. And my other favorite thing to do. And by the
- 1:41:54way, this is like this is the best party trick you guys. Like,
- 1:41:57if you're going to someone's house for a part to your get together and
- 1:42:00you want to be the most popular person at that party, bring the ingredients
- 1:42:06to make a cocktail for the host. Like, that's a great idea.
- 1:42:12And with twenty one seeds, it's so easy, Like I'll give you a
- 1:42:14perfect one. So for that's pink, because who doesn't love pink? Right?
- 1:42:18Like on theme, Let's keep it on theme. Okay. So two
- 1:42:23ingredients you guys are great fruit hibiscus infused tequila, So twenty one seeds graatfrooit
- 1:42:28hibiscus and fuse tequila with a six pack or four pack, a fever tree
- 1:42:32grapefruit, the fever tree grapefruit club soda that they have, the whole bottle's
- 1:42:39thirty calories. It's so delicious. And with those two ingredients you make a
- 1:42:45perfect paloma or what I like to call a pink margarita. It is the
- 1:42:49perfect pink margarita. Oh and a tree what fever tree grapefruit? Okay,
- 1:42:57I'm just writing it. I love to text myself. Great fruit. Okay,
- 1:43:01great fruit, you can buy it pretty much any grocery store even you
- 1:43:04can get on Amazon even and our twenty one seeds great fruit hypbiscus infused tequila.
- 1:43:11Those two things make a perfect paloma. Perfect and then bring with you,
- 1:43:16So you bring those two things and then maybe bring like you know,
- 1:43:19some fresh mint or some fresh basil, or some sliced up grapefruit, and
- 1:43:25you can then make the drink for the host of the party You've given you've
- 1:43:29you've brought with you like the perfect host gift or hostess gift. It's such
- 1:43:34a crowd pleaser because versus like bringing flowers and bring your gott to find a
- 1:43:41vase. You know what I mean. That's not that doesn't help me.
- 1:43:45I appreciate the sentiment, but it's like help me, help me do right
- 1:43:49right work for me. You're getting like, make my life easier. And
- 1:43:55if you make a specialty cocktail for my party, you have just made my
- 1:43:59life amazing. Yeah right, and all the guests happy too, I guess
- 1:44:02real. And it's something that like so few people think of, so all
- 1:44:08the darlings out there this holiday season when you get invited to all of these
- 1:44:12incredible parties which we all are going to get invited to bring your pink shade
- 1:44:18margarita. Oh my god. Well I'm going to go talk to Mary Payne
- 1:44:23and be like, Okay, I think we want to try to do this
- 1:44:25fever tree, grapefruit pink margarita paloma at the after party too. So we'll
- 1:44:29see if you can work that one out. Done, yea done. Gosh,
