- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Hey guys, welcome back to Skin Tree Anarchy.
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: This is your host Ecta, and I'm really very, very excited about the brand that I'm going to introduce you guys to today.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: I've been really enjoying quite a few of their products recently.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: And the guest we have, she is extremely experienced in the industry, in the skin space.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: She's a celebrity aesthetician with over two decades of experience in the beauty industry.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: And also she is a Reiki master.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: And she's really perfected the art of this transformation between energy healing and you know taking care of our bodies overall.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: And so without further ado, I want to introduce you guys to Nesco's founder, Layla Cass.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: Welcome to the show, Layla.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: I'm so honored to host you.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: Thank you so much.
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: So great to be here.
- 0:41SPEAKER_01: Thank you for having me.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: It's wonderful to host you.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: And I can't wait to dive in because I'm such a fan of your products.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: And for everyone listening, we were talking earlier.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: And um, I'm really a big fan of the hand mask.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: So we're gonna be talking about those.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: But before, can you tell us a little bit about your journey, Layla, the industry?
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: Because I know you've done some great work here and just to get an understanding of what led you to create Nesco.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:04SPEAKER_01: So I've been in the beauty industry for for 24 years.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: I'm a, you know, an esthetician, I'm a product formulator.
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: Um my experience really is a hands-on founder.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: Like I've really held every position you can imagine in a company, all the way right from the bottom, all the way to the top.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: So it's been really great asset to be having that insight where I can deal direct, you know, like directly with my clients and my customers.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: But uh I love beauty, you know, when I was, I remember just a little bit going back, you know, right after high school, I had this intuitive thought.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: Like I just kind of felt like I wanted to help women and particularly uh to empower them to feel good about themselves.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: And initially I was going to be a psychologist.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: That was like my other favorite thing I wanted to do.
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: And then I'm like, no, you know, I actually want to be in the beauty industry.
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: And I actually started this industry in Australia, in Perth, Western Australia.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: And I ended up starting my career there as an aesthetician and worked my way up.
- 2:04SPEAKER_01: And one day I ended up in Los Angeles back in 2007 and you know, started my brand um in 2012 with my husband.
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: So it's been an incredible journey, really walking through this industry.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: And I I don't really know any other thing I could possibly be doing.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: So no, I mean it's really uh it's fascinating when I meet people that have been around in the industry and you've really seen it, you know, from the inside out.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: I feel like there's no better way to identify the true white spaces here, you know?
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: And so that's why I'm just like I'm very fascinated by your background because you know, we have so many products out here, you know, and so many different lines, and and it's wonderful.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: I think it's a very creative industry, but I think to really find that to hone in on like what's missing, I feel like you need experience, you need to see like what goes behind product development, you know, and what goes into formulation and all of these things matter so much.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: And I I'm always very excited to interview founders yourself because I learned so much from you.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: So that's very exciting.
- 3:05SPEAKER_01: Thank you, thank you.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: I always say it's my canvas, you know.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: Like I don't, I'm not a big cook in the kitchen, but I love product formulations, you know.
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: It's like that's like my that's my kitchen, you know.
- 3:16SPEAKER_01: I love getting out there, you know, with my team of doctors and you know, my intuitive thought because I really believe that um I have a good insight into what's needed.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: Like you said, just it does help when you've had so many different positions and you've been in the beauty industry all your career, so you really understand.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, absolutely.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: I mean, I think that you know, that's where I'm I'm very interested in terms of like how you came up with the wonderful products in the line, because I know that you guys have a incredible range of products, and I'd love to learn about, you know, where was that initial spark for you that made you want to, you know, create the first product?
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: Like what what was the real first, I guess, you know, thing that came to mind?
- 3:58SPEAKER_01: Gosh, yeah.
- 3:59SPEAKER_01: So the first product I launched was my gold repair face mask.
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: We call it the OG College of Mask.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: It's it's literally like the favorite among like celebrities and dermatologists and like makeup artists, and you know, spas.
- 4:14SPEAKER_01: We work with over 1,000 luxury like resorts and spas like globally that use Nesco in the treatment room.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: So basically, the quick story is that me and my husband, we were gonna start a company and we decided not to have a wedding, and we saved our money and started Nesco skin, and that was my first product.
- 4:36SPEAKER_01: So it was really a labor of love.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: I developed it to perfection, I believed in my formulation, but back then we were like, okay, well, we don't have a funding, you know, we just gotta really go go and show it to people.
- 4:49SPEAKER_01: And my first uh I ended up going to uh four seasons on on Rodeo dryup, of course.
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: I was very ambitious.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: I'm like, yeah, they're gonna love it.
- 4:57SPEAKER_01: And no kidding, they called me like five days later, you know, and it's kind of like been really like I call it the NESCO humble beginnings, is just really, you know, working really hard to perfect this product.
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: It is my reason why I really wanted to start with the mask, is because as a busy woman, and you're one of those, of course, there's so we hold so many hats.
- 5:22SPEAKER_01: And I always wanted to connect, like you mentioned, science with spiritual and emotional wellness.
- 5:29SPEAKER_01: This was very important to me.
- 5:30SPEAKER_01: And throughout my career, at times I have, you know, I was lacking that because I just was so go, go, go, go, go.
- 5:37SPEAKER_01: And luckily, I had my um, you know, my Reiki and I love like crystals and all these different you know, modalities that would help me, you know, meditate and relax and take the time out.
- 5:50SPEAKER_01: But at the same time, I wanted to create a product that really was strategically designed in a way to help you slow down.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: So if you kind of notice when you try my masks, they're really heavy by design.
- 6:03SPEAKER_01: They're thicker, they're luxurious, they're really uh they're really you know infused with this age-defying serum and these amazing active ingredients.
- 6:14SPEAKER_01: So it's a full experience.
- 6:16SPEAKER_01: And I really talk a lot about positivity as we age.
- 6:20SPEAKER_01: Like we're all going in the same direction, if you know what I mean.
- 6:23SPEAKER_01: So I might as well enjoy the process, might as well like you know, enjoying these products that are not only amazing for the skin, but also for the soul.
- 6:35SPEAKER_01: So everything was really intentional for me to create a brand that promotes positivity, wellness, but is also backed by science.
- 6:47SPEAKER_01: And that's what I, as I said, that's why I love what I do, because it is my creative like expression and love for this industry.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, that makes so much sense.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: And I love that.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: And I, you know, I just want to say, like, I am such a believer as well in this idea of exactly what you were talking about, you know, you have you have to take care of your body on so many levels.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: And I just feel like we, I don't know, as consumers, we tie everything up into like, you know, well, I have to do this now for like my gut health, or I have to do this for my skin health.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: But then we never speak about energy, you know, and energy balance and like what what that means for us.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: Like, you know, to me, Reiki, like I remember I was introduced to Reiki before like I think college.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: It was very early.
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: And I was at that at that time, like nobody really knew about it, I think.
- 7:37SPEAKER_00: Like people were still like, you know, like, oh, what is this?
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: And only the metaphysical shops that you would go to, you know, with the crystals, like they were the only ones that were like actually talking about it.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: But it was so like magical to discover something that was really kind of honing in on this idea of there is an energy field that is working around your body and inside of your body, and you have to have a way to take care of yourself, you know what I mean?
- 8:02SPEAKER_00: Because that does change.
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: And and the thing is with with what you've created here, I do I love the quality.
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: And that was one thing I was gonna bring up was that the masks you feel immediately like you are indulging skin in in the self-care.
- 8:15SPEAKER_00: You know, it's like it really throws you into the feeling of self-care.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: And a lot of times I've noticed now, especially with again, all the brands that are coming out, we're kind of skimping on the quality, you know?
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: It's like the a lot of people skimp on quality, but it's like that's a big part of what makes a product really make, you know, make you feel like you're taking care of yourself.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: So I really love that about your products, that they're very, very like well thought out.
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: And you know, they do make you feel immediately like you're taking care of your body and you're doing what you need to do and and you're using quality products.
- 8:46SPEAKER_00: You're not just using anything that you could find, you know.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: So it's very important, I think.
- 8:51SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 8:52SPEAKER_01: I think it does help when you're like a woman, right?
- 8:54SPEAKER_01: That like uses these products is like, okay, well, I'm only getting older, so I'm gonna make the best I can get, you know?
- 9:00SPEAKER_01: And then having the next generations in mind.
- 9:03SPEAKER_01: I have two daughters, so I'm like formulating always in mind to provide these clean and clinical and conscious products that as you know, of course, as we get older, they're gonna be more um easy to use, but also, like you said, formulated for self-care.
- 9:18SPEAKER_01: And Reiki is a huge part of that.
- 9:20SPEAKER_01: I don't know if you know, but I actually send like distance healing weekly through all my products.
- 9:25SPEAKER_01: There's actually energetic like symbols always amplified through them.
- 9:29SPEAKER_01: So for those that are, you know, looking for that, they might notice it.
- 9:33SPEAKER_01: But at the end of the day, honestly, it's not about what is like, it's more about just not overthinking it.
- 9:40SPEAKER_01: And it's how the product is made, it's made with intention to love and heal and spread that healing energy while giving you these skin results that you are looking for.
- 9:50SPEAKER_01: So everything is connected.
- 9:52SPEAKER_01: And I always say, you know, if we have a big smile on our face and our energy is good, we look younger.
- 9:59SPEAKER_01: So we have to really tap into ourselves to really uh feel that you know, beauty inside out always.
- 10:06SPEAKER_01: It's so important.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: Absolutely, absolutely.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: And I I want to actually discuss, you know, um, how long did it take you to really perfect the masks?
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: Because I won't lie to you, Leela.
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: Masks are my favorite category of skincare, like literally my favorite.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: So how long did that take?
- 10:25SPEAKER_01: Honestly, it's an ongoing journey.
- 10:27SPEAKER_01: Um, I I'm very hands-on product formulator.
- 10:31SPEAKER_01: I, you know, do many revisions, but my initial ones, honestly, average for me when I develop products, uh, especially like also with just launch the body, is between two to three years.
- 10:44SPEAKER_01: That's like an average cycle from conception to completion.
- 10:49SPEAKER_01: But even now, we're doing some amazing things with the existing formulations, but we're actually doing some updates.
- 10:57SPEAKER_01: I never rest, like I never want to feel complacent.
- 11:01SPEAKER_01: Technology and science is always evolving.
- 11:04SPEAKER_01: And so I really, my commitment to my client, my integrity to my clients is to be true to my commitment, to always strive to improve.
- 11:14SPEAKER_01: And so we are always, always doing some fun new things.
- 11:18SPEAKER_01: And um, I never, I never just, you know, just because some things like global bestseller, like our gold mask, you know, you know, like, you know, with my new formulations for the hand and the foot, it has a bit of an update.
- 11:31SPEAKER_01: It has extra peptides in it and things like that.
- 11:33SPEAKER_01: And um, so, you know, as I said, this is my canvas, you know, I can I have the freedom to go in and make it the best I feel it's gonna be for my clients.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: No, I think it really comes through, you know, and I really, I really enjoy, you know, using masks because I think it kind of grounds you in the present moment.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: I've always like many times on the on the podcast, you know, people have asked me, like, you know, why what's your favorite category?
- 12:00SPEAKER_00: I'm like, yeah, hands-down masks because I feel like when you put on a face mask or any kind of mask, right?
- 12:05SPEAKER_00: Whether it's I'm glad that you have the hand masks and the feet masks now, because I I think if doing this specific step in a skincare routine, it really kind of forces you to slow down for a minute, you know.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: I think even now, like our skincare routines are so fast and they're on the go where people are just like, okay, God, I have to get my serum and then let me just put on the moisturizer and my SPF and let's get it out the door.
- 12:29SPEAKER_00: And I I'm a believer in that, don't get me wrong, but I'm also a firm believer that you have to slow down, you know, and you have to take a moment.
- 12:38SPEAKER_00: And I think creating products that allow you to do that for me as a consumer, that's very important for a brand, like when I'm shopping a brand, because it that's what I'm looking for, also.
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: You know, it's wonderful to have the uh skin technologies there and the ingredient technologies there, but it's also important to have that component of, you know, what does self-care really mean for people and how can we really, you know, create options that are going to allow them to indulge in self-care?
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: You know, so that's where I'm I'm very, very interested in what you've done and what you've created.
- 13:10SPEAKER_00: And you know, on that note, I want to ask you about your um the new body line because I've been really enjoying that a lot.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: And I mentioned the hand masks and I really love them.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: So can you tell us a little bit about that?
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: Like what were some things that you you kept in mind when you were creating something meant for the hands?
- 13:29SPEAKER_01: Well, first of all, um, I love what you were saying.
- 13:32SPEAKER_01: And I think I think for me, body collection was the expansion of the global bestseller, which is the gold repay collection.
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: You know, we've had our clients asking us for years, like, Layla, Layla, we love your face mask.
- 13:46SPEAKER_01: Can you make us a body mask?
- 13:48SPEAKER_01: I'm like, okay, now come on, you know.
- 13:50SPEAKER_01: So it's just, you know, that's one thing about me, honestly.
- 13:53SPEAKER_01: It's not so much, it's always about my customers.
- 13:56SPEAKER_01: Like, what am what are my clients looking for?
- 13:58SPEAKER_01: What do they need?
- 13:59SPEAKER_01: And so I've been listening, and that is my favorite skill as a founder is always listen and always say, okay, what can I learn today?
- 14:06SPEAKER_01: And so body was next in line.
- 14:09SPEAKER_01: We actually, before we launched the body, we launched serums.
- 14:13SPEAKER_01: So we have actually we expanded from masks two years ago into serums, and now we're expanding into body.
- 14:20SPEAKER_01: And you mentioned something about like being an autopilot, like when you're putting on your serums or like you just kind of go, go, go, right?
- 14:27SPEAKER_01: There's nothing wrong with that.
- 14:28SPEAKER_01: But I actually talk about that a lot.
- 14:30SPEAKER_01: In fact, even with my serums and my body, I actually have serum mantra and meditation, like a ritual card or like body ritual card, because I was actually applying my body cream last night with intention.
- 14:46SPEAKER_01: And what that looks like when you're applying your serum or your mask or your body products with intention, it is a completely different experience.
- 14:56SPEAKER_01: And so, just to give an example, like the NESCO experience is like no matter what products you're in touch with, and now the body, um, we actually just won an award.
- 15:05SPEAKER_01: Uh, sorry, um, um, the Vogue magazine.
- 15:08SPEAKER_01: Vogue magazine um just named our food mask, best food mask, and we launched yesterday.
- 15:16SPEAKER_01: So this is really exciting.
- 15:18SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 15:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but like I just want to talk about that a little bit.
- 15:21SPEAKER_01: Like my goal, like my intention for my clients, is whenever they get in touch with NESCO skin products, being it being a mask, or uh they daily serum in the morning when they have 10 seconds, or now our beautiful body experience.
- 15:40SPEAKER_01: Is that's like their like a trigger or like a their uh gentle nudge to say, hey, uh it's your time.
- 15:49SPEAKER_01: Take a breath, take a breath, enjoy this experience.
- 15:53SPEAKER_01: So I told my team, I want you guys to apply the serum, which is my amazing body serum and the body cream with intention.
- 16:02SPEAKER_01: Have a shower, put it on, and just feel like the strokes of your own hands on your body and like cherish your body and just like enjoy.
- 16:12SPEAKER_01: And it was like the best thing ever because they were like, Oh my god, like I was I felt like I was hugging myself, you know?
- 16:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 16:21SPEAKER_01: I'm being so kind to myself, I'm being so gentle to myself.
- 16:25SPEAKER_01: Here I had these amazing high performance products that are targeting certain you know things on my skin and certain, you know, like you know, like benefits, but I'm feed I'm feeding my soul because I'm the way I'm just treating myself, even if it's a 10 10 second serum like application or a five-minute gentle body massage with your own hands on your body.
- 16:48SPEAKER_01: So, you know, I just love that.
- 16:50SPEAKER_01: And so with the new body launch, um, you know, it took me years to develop it, took me about three years with this one.
- 16:57SPEAKER_01: And it's again the whole philosophy is skincare grade actives on your body that are usually deserted, you know, like reserved for facial care.
- 17:06SPEAKER_01: So I'm really saying, why?
- 17:08SPEAKER_01: Why compromise?
- 17:09SPEAKER_01: Why, why, why can't we have it all?
- 17:11SPEAKER_01: And so that's what NESCO does is I'm using my greatest love of performance, skincare, energy work, and crystals and gems.
- 17:19SPEAKER_01: In this case, with the gold line, we're using a colloidal gold peptide infusion.
- 17:24SPEAKER_01: So it's a it's a delivery system with our gem clinical technology where we actually infuse gemstone therapy with clinical actives for delivery.
- 17:33SPEAKER_01: And uh yeah, it's just like a whole full-body experience.
- 17:37SPEAKER_01: Um we just got a pickup by Nima Marcus, which is one of our like retailers and our luxury spa partnerships, uh rolling out NESCO, Kashmir, anti-gravity body massages throughout the United States.
- 17:49SPEAKER_01: So it's really taking a next look at how we how we treat our body and what ingredients we put our body, being our largest organ, as you know.
- 17:59SPEAKER_01: So I've chosen not to add like you know, like fragrance and you know, removing all the additives that are non-necessary when you are putting that on your skin every single day.
- 18:09SPEAKER_01: So really clean, clinically, and consciously made.
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: And congratulations, by the way, on all the well-deserved success of this, because I'm I'm such a believer in you know, quality goes such a long way.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: And I I love that you have expanded into the body space because there's not a lot out here that is actually like true good options for consumers.
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: I've been saying this for I think at least two years now.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: You know, our listeners, I know everybody listening out there, if you've been listening for a while, you've been hearing me talk about this because I, you know, I really firmly believe in that then the fact that we need to stop only treating the skin on our face, like we do really have to think about our body skin and kind of find options, right, that are going to cater to that.
- 18:57SPEAKER_00: And I think now we're seeing a movement, you know, in the industry where people are like, you know, like the brands are trying to gravitate towards this realization, but I think it is a work in progress.
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: But you know, I've really been enjoying the line, and I think it shows how much you've wor how much work you've really poured into it because it's a very luxurious experience.
- 19:18SPEAKER_00: And that's one of the questions I do have for you.
- 19:20SPEAKER_00: Is that because you've been, you know, in the spa space and and have made strides in this like professional category, how has that been?
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: Like, have there been any hurdles or um any kind of like war stories you could tell us a little bit about that side of you know skincare?
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: I I don't know much about it, so I'm sure it's very difficult to manage that, you know, as far as far as uh your products.
- 19:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, um, it's basically it's been a journey, I have to say.
- 19:47SPEAKER_01: Like I, you know, when I started, I literally was going door to door and like introducing my product and building these relationships one by one and cherishing them all these years.
- 19:58SPEAKER_01: And today we have a you know a much like bigger team, much more accounts.
- 20:03SPEAKER_01: But I again staying true to really what I told you earlier, like really I had to bet on the quality of my products because I didn't have these investors and these huge budgets.
- 20:13SPEAKER_01: It was all about is my product going to deliver the custom expectation?
- 20:17SPEAKER_01: Is it, you know, are we able to support our partners and just one by one and exceling in in that angle?
- 20:26SPEAKER_01: And so what happens in this industry is people talk.
- 20:30SPEAKER_01: And so once far director was like, oh my God, you have to try NESCO.
- 20:33SPEAKER_01: Next one is like calling me next four seasons calling me, and then next one and MGMs, and they were kind of slowly kind of you know started coming in.
- 20:40SPEAKER_01: But you know, I had to rely on the quality of my products, on the customer service, and you know, believe in myself.
- 20:48SPEAKER_01: Like a lot of the time, as the you know, being a business owner in this huge country, like I grew up in Eastern Europe and then we immigrated to Australia and then ended up here.
- 20:57SPEAKER_01: So I moved a lot around the world.
- 20:59SPEAKER_01: And so it can be very scary, right?
- 21:02SPEAKER_01: When you're starting a business and you're like, oh my God, but if you just know if you deep in your heart, you know what you want.
- 21:09SPEAKER_01: And I always had my intention is to provide an exceptional product and service and to help people through through through my work, like to actually make changes and positive changes in their life.
- 21:22SPEAKER_01: And it can be as simple as I'm having a rough day and I put on this product, and it's I see there's mantras, it's telling me to love myself.
- 21:30SPEAKER_01: Maybe I do a you know a meditation, maybe that's all I you know I needed today.
- 21:34SPEAKER_01: I had a lady tell me that she will purchase my rose quartz face mask and which balances the heart chakra.
- 21:42SPEAKER_01: And I have meditation mantras for each collection in in the retail packaging.
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: And I tell people to actually meditate and put the mask on and just go within.
- 21:52SPEAKER_01: And in this case, it was just an example of like showing love to yourself, you know.
- 21:57SPEAKER_01: And so, you know, I am deserving of love.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: In my life, and I'm able to give and receive love and affection with ease.
- 22:04SPEAKER_01: It's a very simple statement, but so many of us forget to be so kind to ourselves.
- 22:09SPEAKER_01: And this lady reached out to me.
- 22:10SPEAKER_01: She was like, I read, it was difficult for me to say those words out loud.
- 22:15SPEAKER_01: I haven't been so nice to myself for such a long time.
- 22:18SPEAKER_01: And she's like, I saved your mantra and I put it in my bag and I take it with me.
- 22:24SPEAKER_01: Like you never know how you're gonna like affect people.
- 22:26SPEAKER_01: And so I've had a pretty decent journey considering that I've kept true to myself and true and to my clients.
- 22:37SPEAKER_01: And it's not a race.
- 22:39SPEAKER_01: This is my sole expression.
- 22:41SPEAKER_01: I I love what I do.
- 22:42SPEAKER_01: I'm not here just to do this and sell.
- 22:45SPEAKER_01: Like this is this is this is my future.
- 22:48SPEAKER_01: This is this I have a lot to offer.
- 22:50SPEAKER_01: And so when you know that in your heart, you don't get disheartened too often, but you obviously have challenges and you just gotta walk through them and learn from them.
- 22:58SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: I love your mindset.
- 23:01SPEAKER_00: That is so powerful.
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: And I I that that story really touched my heart about the woman that reached out to you because I've had that moment before.
- 23:09SPEAKER_00: Believe it or not, I I wasn't very young, but I remember finding like it was a quote I found and I kept it with me like throughout college, throughout graduate years, I would pull it out randomly and it would it would give me empowerment.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: So what you just told me, like it almost like made me tear up because I know how powerful that can be.
- 23:27SPEAKER_00: And I know that, you know, we every day as human beings are looking for a little bit of relief in our day, you know what I mean?
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: And I feel like a lot of people out there, we're always looking for these like big drastic changes, but sometimes like a simple meditation, just like you said, you know, taking that little time and make, you know, saying that affirmation out loud, it can make the biggest difference in not only your day, but your whole mindset changes.
- 23:54SPEAKER_00: So that's that's powerful.
- 23:55SPEAKER_00: Like that's really powerful.
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: And to me, that speaks volumes, you know, as a consumer that you're doing this.
- 24:01SPEAKER_00: Because yeah, skincare is about great ingredients and wonderful things that we're putting into our formulas, of course.
- 24:08SPEAKER_00: But you know, to to negate or to not even acknowledge mental health, that's not okay with me.
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: When I look at this space, I I think it's very, very important for us as an industry to push the importance of self-healing from the inside and also from the outside, but like to really kind of integrate that.
- 24:26SPEAKER_00: And you really have done it so beautifully in the brand.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: I'm a huge fan of you merging these two worlds, bringing this to the to the forefront.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: You know, I think we need we really need that more.
- 24:38SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of people out here who are, you know, they're stressed, you know, especially like when it comes to you had said this earlier, like when you wear a lot of hats and you have a lot going on, you need a way to get away from all of it.
- 24:50SPEAKER_00: And you need a way to actually make sense of the time that you spend on yourself.
- 24:55SPEAKER_00: And if you can incorporate, you know, rituals that are obviously great for your body and for your health, but then also this mindfulness aspect.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: I mean, that is just I can't think of a better way, you know, to kind of like make your whole day come together in a in a positive way.
- 25:09SPEAKER_00: So really hats off to you for doing this.
- 25:15SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 25:15SPEAKER_01: I mean, yeah, it happens to so many of us, and there's so much judgment about ourselves.
- 25:21SPEAKER_01: Like, and so I my goal and my dreams with my body launch and with my everything that I have is like you know, to love ourselves, to just be, you know, grateful for what we have and enjoy these beautiful products.
- 25:33SPEAKER_01: And um, I don't know, it's just a good place to be to feel that you know we need to put more positive speed on on aging and like we're all going the same, like I said, direction.
- 25:44SPEAKER_01: So in a mindful way, like there's things we can do to prolong, to maintain our beautiful skin, to take care of our soul, and it's just a journey, you know.
- 25:55SPEAKER_01: We should all just get on it and have fun.
- 25:57SPEAKER_01: But in the meantime, I love just developing this product, they they heal me and they make me feel so good.
- 26:03SPEAKER_00: So well, they're absolutely brilliant, and you know, your vision is brilliant, and it's a it's a beautiful, beautiful line.
- 26:10SPEAKER_00: And I'm I'm really excited to see you grow it even more because everything I've tried, literally everything I've tried, I've loved.
- 26:17SPEAKER_00: And for everyone listening out there, you guys have to really check out the whole range because there's something here for everybody, it's just a matter of your preference and what you're looking for in your life.
- 26:28SPEAKER_00: I mean, I personally love any body products that are, you know, great quality and they give me that time.
- 26:34SPEAKER_00: So I I had mentioned that and I'm so thrilled to see that Vogue really picked up on your foot masks because you know, I think there are so many, there's so many reasons for us to be taking care of our body, and I I just don't see options, you know, when I look around and for you to have created such beautiful ones.
- 26:49SPEAKER_00: I mean, you've done such a great job.
- 26:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah, also like the finish, I love texture.
- 26:54SPEAKER_01: Like that's one of my favorite things when I'm like, you know, developing my you know, like my formulations from scratch is that I just want it to feel like luxe, like cashmere finish.
- 27:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 27:08SPEAKER_01: So this is what you're gonna get with Nesco body serum and the body cream.
- 27:13SPEAKER_01: It's like amazing, you know, like the ingredients like vitamin C and uh cinnamon and peptides and ceramides and all the goodness, right?
- 27:23SPEAKER_01: But then but then you're like, Oh, I can put up, you know, you can just it just absorb so beautifully, and then you can put on your silky blouse and be out the door, you don't have to like transfer it onto your clothes.
- 27:35SPEAKER_01: So it's like everything is really mindful and really excited for those that haven't tried the brand.
- 27:40SPEAKER_01: Like you said, everything in our range is treatment-based, and you can't go wrong with either one of my six collections.
- 27:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, there it's beautiful.
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: And I I know what you mean about the the body cream because I was I had the exact same thought.
- 27:55SPEAKER_00: What you said, it's very luxe, and it's it really feels like exactly what you said, like cashmere.
- 28:01SPEAKER_00: Your skin feels like baby skin.
- 28:03SPEAKER_00: It's it's amazing.
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: I don't know what you did, Leila, but it's it's really working and it works immediately.
- 28:08SPEAKER_01: And no silicones, you know, that was no silicones, no palm oil, like ingredients.
- 28:13SPEAKER_01: It took a long time, you know, but you still get this beautiful texture with that all the extra fluffy all the fluff, yeah.
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, it's it's really cool because that's honestly, that's what I think like is the hardest thing to find is like that body cream or serum that's going to genuinely make your body skin feel like how we want our face skin to feel.
- 28:31SPEAKER_00: I I feel like that's the that's what consumers look for, you know, that's what I look for because there's products for my face, yeah, that'll make it really soft and make it feel wonderful, but for the body, there's just nothing there.
- 28:42SPEAKER_00: So when I tried it, I was like, oh my gosh, like this is amazing.
- 28:46SPEAKER_01: Isn't that so annoying?
- 28:47SPEAKER_01: Like, why can't we find body products that are just like beautiful?
- 28:51SPEAKER_01: And so that was like exactly what I was like thinking about.
- 28:54SPEAKER_01: Like, that's that's not okay.
- 28:56SPEAKER_01: So, you know, a lot of the brands compromise, but not with Nesco.
- 29:01SPEAKER_01: So wait till you get yourself all in your ritual, you're gonna love it.
- 29:06SPEAKER_00: No, it's really great, and I I really, really recommend it to everybody.
- 29:09SPEAKER_00: I mean, I honestly think for me, it's like body care, especially at nighttime, is the best.
- 29:15SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't know if if anyone listening out there, if you guys can relate, but for me, I I don't know if you do this, Leila, but at night, if I put on like a moisturizer at night and I really like kind of do that before I go to sleep, it actually helps me sleep better.
- 29:27SPEAKER_00: Like it helps me sleep a lot better.
- 29:29SPEAKER_00: And I wake up rested.
- 29:31SPEAKER_00: And I think that that's where also body care never gets spoken about, where you know, we're not talking about it holistically, I feel like, you know, and and so it that's where it matters to me that you're creating options because at the end of the day, we're all tired and we have to take care of ourselves and we have to do it in a meaningful way.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: And and I've and you know, you described it so beautifully earlier when you were explaining like how you should do it in a mindful way, you know, when you're massaging your body, when you're when you're doing these rituals, like you have to be mindful because that is actually not only is it good for your mindset, but also like things like lymphatic drainage and you know, the things that we kind of take for granted that our body does automatically, if we could just help it along by using good products, making sure we're doing it on the daily, establishing those routines, it would just make I think people's lives so much easier.
- 30:20SPEAKER_00: Like I'm such a firm believer in that.
- 30:22SPEAKER_00: It's like you can't have a hard day and then just do nothing for yourself at the end of the night.
- 30:26SPEAKER_00: You can't do that.
- 30:27SPEAKER_00: So yeah, it it's it's a really, I think, brilliant brand and very well thought out.
- 30:32SPEAKER_01: Thank you so much.
- 30:33SPEAKER_01: I can totally feel you're connecting.
- 30:34SPEAKER_01: And it's just this is what brings me joy, you know, when I hear a sparkle in people's excitement because that's exactly what my hope is.
- 30:41SPEAKER_01: Like it's and it's getting so difficult to like carve out this, like you said, this rest time or like time for self-care.
- 30:49SPEAKER_01: And so, but we have to listen.
- 30:52SPEAKER_01: We must listen when our body is feeling tired and we just gotta stop for a minute and do whatever we can to reset.
- 31:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly.
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 31:02SPEAKER_00: I agree.
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: Well, I've I really love it.
- 31:04SPEAKER_00: And I want to know what is on the horizon for Nesco?
- 31:07SPEAKER_00: Are you coming up with uh new formulations right now, or how are what what's new?
- 31:11SPEAKER_00: If you can give us a sneak peek, maybe.
- 31:13SPEAKER_01: I will like a lot.
- 31:15SPEAKER_01: So we're yeah, we're working on a few things.
- 31:17SPEAKER_01: I can't share too much yet.
- 31:19SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 31:19SPEAKER_01: Um let me put it this way is I'm I am definitely expanding and doing some really fun things, but next next launch rule is gonna be a really big one.
- 31:30SPEAKER_01: So I'm really, really excited.
- 31:33SPEAKER_01: Uh hopefully I can come back and tell you more in the 2020.
- 31:36SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, yes, please.
- 31:38SPEAKER_00: I would be honored to have you back now.
- 31:40SPEAKER_00: It's it's really exciting because I I really, really think that, like I said, every product I've tried has been so like kind of, you know, you've nailed it.
- 31:47SPEAKER_00: So I'm excited to see what you come up with next.
- 31:49SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be cool.
- 31:50SPEAKER_01: Amazing.
- 31:51SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 31:51SPEAKER_01: Thank you so much.
- 31:52SPEAKER_00: Well, it's been an honor.
- 31:54SPEAKER_00: And I, you know, I really love the brand.
- 31:56SPEAKER_00: I think that, you know, combining science with this mindfulness of how you formulated and the mindfulness of how you've created the user experience.
- 32:05SPEAKER_00: I mean, that is just, I don't know.
- 32:07SPEAKER_00: I I don't see a lot of that anymore in the industry.
- 32:09SPEAKER_00: And I am so glad that you're doing it truly from this place of love, you know, and that shows.
- 32:15SPEAKER_00: I think that whenever you make something with love and whenever you pour your heart into it, it comes through.
- 32:21SPEAKER_00: I've always been a believer in that.
- 32:22SPEAKER_00: And I I gravitate as a consumer towards those brands for everyone listening out there.

- 32:48SPEAKER_01: I really I love talking to you.
- 32:50SPEAKER_01: I feel like we have a lot in common.
- 32:51SPEAKER_01: So things like that.
- 32:52SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, yes.
- 32:53SPEAKER_00: No, absolutely.
- 32:54SPEAKER_00: We are definitely from the same tribe.
