- 0:00Speaker 1: A couple of things we're gonna talk about. It's one
- 0:01Speaker 1: more thing.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Wow, it's the anti introduction.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I didn't know Alice to tease it. So first
- 0:12Speaker 1: executive producer Hanson has been want us to play this
- 0:14Speaker 1: for days. He's really a fan. I don't know exactly
- 0:18Speaker 1: what it is. It's representative Hank Johnson, Democrat in Georgia.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Right.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Have you have you listened it already?
- 0:25Speaker 2: I have? He introduces it himself.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Oh okay, cool, let's just roll with them.
- 0:29Speaker 3: I hate to hurt you ears and everything, but I'm
- 0:32Speaker 3: just learning to play guitar, and so I'm compelled with
- 0:35Speaker 3: a new guitar and with some thoughts about that old song. Hey, Joe,
- 0:41Speaker 3: you know to give some commentary on where we are now.
- 0:45Speaker 3: And if y'all don't mind, I'm gonna just strum a
- 0:48Speaker 3: little bit. Hey Trump, where you going with that gun
- 1:02Speaker 3: in your hand?
- 1:05Speaker 4: Hey?
- 1:06Speaker 3: Drop? Where you're going with that gun in your hand?
- 1:13Speaker 1: Have you considered tuning your guitar?
- 1:15Speaker 2: I was gonna say, missed the part of the lessonry.
- 1:17Speaker 4: On to.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Okay, Yeah, that's too bad. I have to tell my
- 1:25Speaker 1: son that all the time. He's kind of trying to
- 1:26Speaker 1: learn how to play guitars like you, because you know,
- 1:29Speaker 1: if you don't know, if you're completely new to music,
- 1:31Speaker 1: you don't know it's in tune or not in tune.
- 1:33Speaker 1: But you're not gonna get anywhere. If you're that instrument
- 1:36Speaker 1: that's completely out too, you'll get nowhere. So I like
- 1:40Speaker 1: to sing, no satisfaction from it. I like to singing.
- 1:43Speaker 1: I just tuned the guitar. Okay. This other thing is
- 1:48Speaker 1: somehow the WNBA, the Women's NBA, has turned into the
- 1:53Speaker 1: men's NBA of the early nineties, when people would beat
- 1:58Speaker 1: the crap out of each other and it was just
- 2:00Speaker 1: part of the sport, and there were certain things that
- 2:03Speaker 1: I enjoyed about it, and then certain things I didn't
- 2:05Speaker 1: enjoy about it because it's a skill game, and sometimes
- 2:08Speaker 1: it would eliminate the ability for people to enjoy their skills.
- 2:12Speaker 1: But this is one of Caitlyn Clark's teammates who has
- 2:20Speaker 1: decided she's the enforcer on the team, trying to protect
- 2:24Speaker 1: their star player. We're talking about this last week when
- 2:27Speaker 1: Caitlyn Clark got beat around pretty good and I was saying,
- 2:30Speaker 1: you gotta you can't do that. It's like whether it's
- 2:33Speaker 1: Michael Jordan or Wayne Gretzky. If your star players getting
- 2:36Speaker 1: pushed around, you got to go beat the hell out
- 2:38Speaker 1: of those people and say no, you don't get to
- 2:40Speaker 1: touch your stars. It's happened in a bunch of different
- 2:42Speaker 1: sports anyway. So this is the girl that's taken on
- 2:46Speaker 1: that duty. And you're not gonna be able to see
- 2:48Speaker 1: the videos obviously listening to this, but underneath her commentary
- 2:52Speaker 1: or videos for like girl coming down the lane and
- 2:55Speaker 1: she puts them in a full headlock and takes them
- 2:58Speaker 1: to the floor, bashing their head to the floor. I mean,
- 3:00Speaker 1: it's pretty violent. She's also very attractive, which is an
- 3:03Speaker 1: interesting thing to fit in with this whole story. But
- 3:07Speaker 1: here she is.
- 3:08Speaker 4: Hello everyone, I'm Sophie Cunningham. I don't start trouble, but
- 3:11Speaker 4: I'm never afraid of it. You can provoke anyone, but
- 3:14Speaker 4: there's one person you don't touch, Caitlyn Clark, even if
- 3:16Speaker 4: it comes to a fight. I'm not worried about anyone
- 3:18Speaker 4: pulling my hair. Why because I know they don't dare
- 3:21Speaker 4: and they don't have what it takes. You all saw
- 3:23Speaker 4: that game the Sun. We're pulling cheap tricks all night
- 3:26Speaker 4: to slow Caitlin's rhythm, especially Jace Sheldon with two blatant
- 3:30Speaker 4: slaps of the face, and the refs they just stood
- 3:33Speaker 4: there like statues. You think I let that slide when
- 3:35Speaker 4: I took Sheldon down. Some called me impulsive, some said
- 3:38Speaker 4: I pulled her hair. But have you ever thought about
- 3:40Speaker 4: why I acted without hesitation yet wasn't afraid of her
- 3:43Speaker 4: fighting back. First, I'm a black belt in karate, trained
- 3:47Speaker 4: in combat since I was a kid and I played
- 3:49Speaker 4: college football. You want to come at me, go ahead,
- 3:52Speaker 4: but you better check with your bones first. Second, I
- 3:54Speaker 4: made a promise to my entire team and even the
- 3:56Speaker 4: whole league, as long as Caitlyn's on.
- 3:57Speaker 1: The court, I've got her back.
- 3:58Speaker 4: Third, I know my I'm not just fighting. I use
- 4:02Speaker 4: precise grappling techniques to lock an opponent's arm, leaving them
- 4:05Speaker 4: no chance to escalate. I'm not here to punish anyone.
- 4:07Speaker 4: I'm here to send a message to the entire league.
- 4:09Speaker 4: Caitlin isn't fighting alone. She's got me behind her.
- 4:13Speaker 1: If you want to come at me, check with their
- 4:15Speaker 1: bones for cheese. That's a pretty good line. That is
- 4:19Speaker 1: a pretty good line.
- 4:20Speaker 2: I don't know why everything has to have background music
- 4:22Speaker 2: these days, But that was that was a fine screen.
- 4:25Speaker 2: That was an oddly like well composed. It was an essay.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Well. Also, she's got that thing that people who are
- 4:35Speaker 1: really okay with fighting have where they're very calm about it. Yes,
- 4:39Speaker 1: it is not for whatever reason. And I've known people
- 4:42Speaker 1: that are likes to fight guy or likes to fight woman.
- 4:45Speaker 1: They it affects them differently than it affects normal people.
- 4:49Speaker 1: It's just a thing. Oh, we're gonna fight now, Okay,
- 4:51Speaker 1: let's go. Where's the Restipers are like, holy crap, this
- 4:55Speaker 1: is the biggest moment of my life. They're just still okay.
- 4:57Speaker 1: I guess it's fighting time. She's one of those people.
- 5:01Speaker 1: And I did the w NBA see this coming a
- 5:03Speaker 1: couple of years ago, that they were gonna become the
- 5:06Speaker 1: nineties NBA. It's all about ooh boy, there'll be a
- 5:09Speaker 1: lot of fighting to night. Let's tune in. The ratings
- 5:11Speaker 1: are getting big for any time two teams play that
- 5:14Speaker 1: have a you know, you know they're gonna fight like
- 5:16Speaker 1: it's you know, Piston Celtics of nineteen ninety or something.
- 5:21Speaker 1: I'm just I can't be the only one who's completely
- 5:24Speaker 1: struck by the nature of her her speech there. I mean,
- 5:29Speaker 1: because I'm familiar with the eighties nineties NBA. I was
- 5:31Speaker 1: a huge fan at the time, and a guy would
- 5:34Speaker 1: say something like he wants to start some trouble, I'm
- 5:37Speaker 1: gonna end it.
- 5:39Speaker 2: You come up against me and MJ. You're gonna know
- 5:42Speaker 2: what time it is, right, she is, like, I am
- 5:45Speaker 2: trained in a variety of martial arts. I have a
- 5:48Speaker 2: black belt certification. I've been involved in grappling since I
- 5:51Speaker 2: was a young kid, and certainly I will use grappling
- 5:54Speaker 2: techniques to neutralize their arms and pin them against them
- 5:57Speaker 2: and avoid any sort of escalation if it time to
- 6:00Speaker 2: porptrate acts of violence. It's oddly clinical.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Except for that one line check with your bones for
- 6:08Speaker 1: Oh that was the best part. You know, we kind
- 6:11Speaker 1: of downplayed how hot this chick is. Yeah, I hadn't
- 6:14Speaker 1: seen her. No, She's like, uh, I mean she's runway
- 6:19Speaker 1: model material. Yeah yeah, yeah, So give me the name again.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Sophie Cunningham Craig sent it to us yesterday. He's the
- 6:26Speaker 1: one that where I got this clip from our text. Yeah. Yeah,
- 6:31Speaker 1: so that's an interesting aspect of the whole thing. Also,
- 6:36Speaker 1: I don't I don't know if this is is this
- 6:40Speaker 1: going to end up being like the bread and Butter
- 6:42Speaker 1: for the w NBA, where they just everybody figures out. Boy,
- 6:44Speaker 1: if you want to put butts in the seats and
- 6:45Speaker 1: have big ratings, we got to have a couple of fights,
- 6:48Speaker 1: like it's Holy.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Cow, cutie. Yeah you want to. You want any grappling practice.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Like it's roller derby or hockey or something. Just people
- 6:57Speaker 1: are here for fights. We gotta have some fights.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll put up a fight for a little while
- 7:01Speaker 2: and then you can just you know, whatever you want.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Ask your bones first.
- 7:08Speaker 2: My bones are fine with it, trust me, they're enthused.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Well, I guess that's it.
