- 0:00Because fuck you, That's why is a founding member of the Odd Pods Media
- 0:03Network. Hello, and welcome to episode one eighty one of BFY t W
- 0:43And surprise, it's our special Fall episode I've never done before. Oh,
- 0:51he didn't know. That's not a thing we do regularly. It's our first
- 0:54ever Fall episode. One hundred and eighty episodes, didn't We finally decided let's
- 0:58do an episode about Fall. Why not? It is Fall. It is
- 1:02time for all the good stuff about Fall, and maybe some of the bad
- 1:04stuff that you don't like so much. But we're gonna cover pretty much all
- 1:08of it. Like I dug so deep into Fall, you guys for this
- 1:11episode, so deep, and I know so much that I didn't know before
- 1:15deep And yeah that that Fall lord that you all love so much fell into
- 1:23Autumn. I totally did I get that one. I fell into Fall.
- 1:30So we're gonna play three silly games all about Fall, and whichever team has
- 1:34the most points at the end of the episode wins and gains probably a tiny
- 1:40bit of pride and some recognition again pride this time. I mean, it
- 1:44really depends on how you feel about success. It's gonna come from within the
- 1:51definitely won't be coming from without. We don't care who wins, and the
- 1:57losers will probably be like yeah whatever. Anyway, we have some special guests
- 2:05with us this time to pair up and play against our usual dream team of
- 2:09Step and Aby. We have the Smith's sisters High Yeah, two out of
- 2:15three of us Hello, Yeah, two out of three in bed Welcome Kyla.
- 2:21Kyla was on a few episodes ago, Yeah, and we wanted to
- 2:24have her back, and this time she brought along her sister Casey. Hello,
- 2:29I'm her favorite little sister. Yeah, I'm I'm the middle. Casey
- 2:32is the the end, our older sister. She's out there in radio land.
- 2:37Oh, very cool, somewhere. You have the talent, Yeah,
- 2:40guys, fair enough, fair enough. I don't have the talent. I'm
- 2:44more behind the stop. That's still a talent. I don't have the red
- 2:49hair. I left mine at home, So well, fair enough. Well,
- 2:52I guess I'll start The obvious question to ask is what's your favorite thing
- 2:55about fall? Oh, well, it's my birthday. That would be a
- 3:02good thing. That's pretty good thing. My birthday was always one of the
- 3:07first days of school and it was very anxiety provoking. But now it's gotten
- 3:12to the point where I'm just like, oh my god, it's my birthday.
- 3:15Let's have epple bye in five days. Yeah, so I would say
- 3:20fall food, birthday cake. Probably food. Food. Yes, Food's usually
- 3:25the answer for me. That's like food. So step and I'll get Just
- 3:29bear in mind, if you win, you were ruining Kyla's birthday, almost
- 3:35guarantee you that we will not reber birthday. So based on the like they
- 3:39don't have a break running record, I'm just gonna put it out there right
- 3:44now. I think we have one dream teams that you beat. I think
- 3:49job Sean and that's it. Yeah, and we got a recording coming.
- 3:53I'm sure it's true. It's true. Well, we'll see. Well,
- 3:58welcome of course, Kyla. And I'll ask the same question of you,
- 4:00Casey. What's your favorite thing about fall? Immediately I thought about crunchy leaves.
- 4:06One of my favorite things when it after it rains and then it's it's
- 4:12sunny and the leaves dry up, you step on them and there's a satisfying
- 4:16crunch. Yeah. It's not just a sound, it's a feeling. Yeah.
- 4:21Yeah, no, I get it. I can my favorite thing crunchy
- 4:26when I was a kid, I used to love jumping into a pile of
- 4:29dry leaves. Yeah, although it's disgusting, Yeah, it's absolutely disgusting now,
- 4:33and I'm like, all my muscles would hurt I tried it, so
- 4:39I'd be like, nope, jumping. Jumping doesn't happen so much for us
- 4:44anymore. Sent videos of me stepping on crunchy leaves to Kylo. Oh my
- 4:49gosh. Yeah, when you're in college, like every week I would get
- 4:51like, I know exactly what's happened. Oh my gosh. It was like
- 4:59the for e SMR was a thing, some of those oddly satisfying things that
- 5:03I just yeah, no, absolutely good reason to love Fall. But yeah,
- 5:08food Fall, food is excellent. And of course we have the dream
- 5:12team. I'm start with AUGI Hey, Aggy, what's going on? Not
- 5:16much? So, what's your favorite thing about Fall? It's the thing I'm
- 5:20stealing from Stevie. It's Halloween, straight up stolen. Halloween is good.
- 5:28Halloween. A lot a lot of people love home. It's my favorite time
- 5:30of year. It's I love dressing up, I love the decorations, and
- 5:35I just like the stories behind it. You know, It's like the perfect
- 5:39time of year to just have fun. Yeah, yeah, no, absolutely,
- 5:43I agree. Uh and that of course has stolen Stevie's probably go to
- 5:47answer. Hi, Stevie, how you doing? Doing awesome? Yeah?
- 5:51Yeah, doing great? Man, that's fair. That's fair. Got the
- 5:55studio cleaned up a little bit today, got some new plans and ideas for
- 5:58the future. Yeah. Happy, All right, So same question, sir,
- 6:02What is your favorite thing about how about falling? No, no,
- 6:08no, I'm jumping back from that. Was your favorite thing about fall?
- 6:11You can't say holloween? It actually wasn't going to be Halloween. Actually,
- 6:15y'all just goyd to go for the go to thing. I'm actually gonna say,
- 6:18like the fall bonfires and stuff, because this is the time to get
- 6:23like people like Fall is the best time to have a bonfire. Don't get
- 6:26around springs awesome and all because it's like, thank God, the snow's gone,
- 6:30Let's have a fire and get people over handling God talks and stuff.
- 6:31But Fall, with that cool crisp air and the net fire radiating with all
- 6:36your friends around that that's what I love about Fall. Yeah, I can't
- 6:42feel like a good barbecue followed by a bonfire is like one of my favorite
- 6:46things to do, sitting there just and just hanging out with friends, just
- 6:49chatting about striking at the fire, making each other laugh. It's a good
- 6:53time. Yeah. Uh. As for me, I'm your host Pancil Saron,
- 6:57And my favorite thing about fall has to be all of the apple stuff
- 7:00that comes flying out of it everywhere, like like, kyla huge, I'm
- 7:05a huge apple pie fan. Like, give me any apple pie, I
- 7:09don't care what kind. I will eat the shit out of it. And
- 7:14just lots of other apple stuff I got from the store just on a whim,
- 7:18a caramel apple coffee, and it sounds like it should be terrible,
- 7:24it's actually good. And I was like, oh my, this works.
- 7:29How what you know what, I'm not going to question it. I'm just
- 7:30going to enjoy it. So I've been enjoying the crap out of that,
- 7:33and like all the other cool apple things that people come up with that just
- 7:38never cease to amaze me. And it all seems to come out in fall
- 7:41obviously that's when the apples. We live in a good area for apples too,
- 7:45Yeah, we live in a good area for it as well, which
- 7:46just makes it a perfect Oh yeah, peaches can suck it. I don't
- 7:55love peaches. I've been to the Peach Festival a thousand times. I just
- 7:59like apples patter. Yeah. Same. The brown sugar creamer, caramel apple
- 8:07coffee I have not, now I do have. I do have a sort
- 8:11of caramel thing. I have the Snickers creamer, absolutely not good for you,
- 8:20but it pairs really nicely, so it creates kind of an apple Snackers
- 8:24thing, which is surprisingly delicious. It shouldn't all work, but it does
- 8:31all work, So the hell with it? Shall we play some games?
- 8:35All right? We're gonna start with game one, which is the cost is
- 8:39correct in honor of Bob Barker's unfortunate passing that we did get us close to
- 8:45one hundred without going over. It felt right to visit something that I love.
- 8:52The price is right. But for obvious reasons, I didn't think Joe
- 8:58was funny, but it is kind of morbid that I love. Listen.
- 9:07He made a lot of people very happy, and I am not stomping on
- 9:13him at all. No, no, but just the age that he passed
- 9:18at is just really funny. Anyway. For obvious reasons, our version is
- 9:22legally distinct, and given that it's our Fault episode. All of the items
- 9:26you're going to be bidding on are related to things that Kindlass said she loved
- 9:31about Fall in a Facebook post the other day, puking spice, cozy sweaters,
- 9:35hay rides, apple pie, Monster movies, and Count Chocola. Yeah,
- 9:41the cereal chocolate. I have heard of Count Chocola, but I didn't
- 9:45particularly Fall. That's when it comes out. It's only available or in the
- 9:52Fall, and every Fall, every every folloween Monster even though even bad ones.
- 9:58Yeah, yeah, the werewolf one is that was gross? Ye,
- 10:03I guess that would Expand anyway, there are five items up for bids.
- 10:07Everyone is going to give me their own bid for each end. Whoever's closest
- 10:11without going over wins that item for their team, and the team who wins
- 10:16three items wins the game and earns one episode point. You don't actually win
- 10:20the idol. You know, we do not have the budget for some of
- 10:26these things. We're just going to tell you we don't have the budget for
- 10:28cerealspect it all on Internet, and we're going to bounce back and forth and
- 10:35go across so that you know, neither team can get completely trumped by the
- 10:39other team. So The first item up for bids is this beautiful king pumpkin.
- 10:45The winning pumpkin at the Barnesville Pumpkin Festival in twenty twenty one weighed two
- 10:50thousand, one hundred and ninety five pounds and was auctioned off to the highest
- 10:54bidder. And this item will go to the one of you who bids nearest
- 10:58to the actual winning bid. With out going over Kyla, We're going to
- 11:01start with you a two thousand, one hundred and ninety five pound punk.
- 11:05Let's say, uh, fifteen hundred and seventy three dollars, Okay, fifteen
- 11:11hundred and seven. I might actually have to rate it's now smart. Fifteen
- 11:13hundred and seventy three dollars fair enough? Oh, I'm horrible at this,
- 11:18Aggie. You are going to bid next? What do you say bad?
- 11:26I could say it's a pumpkin, It is a pumpkin, but it's a
- 11:31said I'm sorry, Barnesville, Ohio. I want to say want because that
- 11:35does make a difference. Like we get pumpkins everywhere, so I could pay
- 11:39five bucks and get a pumpkin Medico. So yeah, something that size has
- 11:41actually been close up to, like a grand I think because I'm thinking I
- 11:46want to say one thing. Yeah, I'm thinking a thousand, one thousand,
- 11:50says Augie Casey. What do you say? Oh God, I'm horrible
- 11:56at these things. But I'm gonna say seven fifty, seven hundred and fifty
- 12:01dollars, says Casey. And then finally, Stevie, what would you like
- 12:05to be? It's so difficult. Originally I was gonna say nine ninety nine,
- 12:07but all he already did the thousand, and we're on the same team,
- 12:09right, Yes, no actor against fifteen seventy five, fifteen seventy three,
- 12:16three dam I will go fifteen seventy four. Wow, what a journey
- 12:22to be fair. That is how you play the game. I love it,
- 12:26and I will tell you the actual winning bid for this pumpkin was eight
- 12:28thousand, five hundred dollars. I was trying to think of it by like
- 12:33price per pound. That's what I was going about, like the scam.
- 12:41So Stevie has the closest bid without going over and wins the dream team good
- 12:46s blown. Yeah, expensive, all right, but that's okay. You
- 12:52can win it right back with our second item up for bids, which is
- 12:54this beautiful sweater, this warm red wool sweater with a single black letter H
- 13:01indicating the wearer went to Harvard. This sweater was famously worn by John F.
- 13:07Kennedy and was sold at auction in twenty twenty one. And it can
- 13:09also be yours if the cost is correct, Aggie, you will be first
- 13:15to bid. This time. Somebody steal his sweater at a weird time in
- 13:18college. No, he actually gave it away to a cameraman at an event.
- 13:22Oh cool, here take my sweaty s sweater? Are right? Was
- 13:28that these real things? Yeah? These are real things. That this was
- 13:33auctioned off for a certain price. And Aggie is going to be the first
- 13:35to tell me how much. I'm thinking this thing's gonna be at least twenty
- 13:39grand. Twenty thousand dollars, says Aggie. Right, okay, Harvard jersey
- 13:46or Harvard sweater from lega prior. I mean it has been a while.
- 13:48He's been deadly a long time, so he's going to go up. True,
- 13:54very true. All right, so you're sticking in twenty yeah, right,
- 13:56twenty thousand dollars, says Aggie. Casey, what do you say?
- 14:00Oh? Boy, Well is expensive and it's really old. So let's say
- 14:13four fifty, four hundred and fifty dollars. All right, four hundred and
- 14:16fifty dollars or four and fifty thousand, four fifty. This is four hundred.
- 14:22Yeah. Uh, Stevie, what do you say? I mean we
- 14:24got the high end, then the little Yeah, I guess I gotta I
- 14:26have to go with five hundred, just to stay in again with the jerkish
- 14:31play. So nobody else gets to choose. It's out like a child,
- 14:37Kylo, what would you like to bid? I'm going a million. I
- 14:39think it's going to be real expensive. Million dollars. I'll just put one
- 14:43m wow. Okay. Well, the actual final winning bid of this item
- 14:52was eighty five thousand dollars. So Aggie takes this item. I thought it'll
- 14:58be way over man. It was like, this is your opportunity to go
- 15:01twenty one to do to augue what I should have. You should And there
- 15:11are three items left, Kyl and Casey, you have to get them all,
- 15:13but I got faith in you. Our third item up for bids is
- 15:18tickets to Disneyland Resort in the in Los Angeles Halloween Celebration. Two tickets means
- 15:24you and a friend can enjoy Disneyland's Uggie Boogie Bash, which includes a treat
- 15:31trails, a parade, a Mickey Mouse live show, and the chance to
- 15:33explore Villain's Grove. This fabulous prize goes to the one of you who bids
- 15:39nearest to the mean retail price of two tickets to the Uggie Boogie Bash.
- 15:43This one. We're got to win this one. To be absolutely fair,
- 15:46I took these the the mean price because every day has a different price.
- 15:52Yeah, So I looked for the price that was the most common or the
- 15:56mean price. Uh, and that is the price that I went by.
- 15:58So this is there's two tickets to the Uggy Buggy Bash in Disneyland. Does
- 16:03not include travel or lodging or any of that. There's just two tickets to
- 16:07the event. Uh, ste No, Casey's gonna be first of all last
- 16:11time. Okay, I'm gonna say five hundred, five hundred dollars, says
- 16:17Casey d What do you say to the event in the park. Then I'm
- 16:25gonna say it's closer to like sixty four hundred, sixty four hundred dollars,
- 16:32says Stevie. All right, Kyler, what do you think I'm gonna go
- 16:37silly and go six six six, six hundred sixty six dollars because I feel
- 16:41like they might do something silly like the number of the mouse. And finally,
- 16:45uggy shit, because I was thinking like closer to seven hundred, i'd
- 16:53have to say, Pablo, eight hundred, eight hundred. Yeah, all
- 16:57right, Well, I'm afraid to say you have all overbid. Everybody's gonna
- 17:03have to be and been lower than five hundred dollars. Starting with Casey.
- 17:08Oh, I think it was that right. I want to go to this
- 17:14thing. I'm gonna stay four twenty five, four twenty five, says Casey.
- 17:18Stevie it it's like right there too, that's what stinks. He said,
- 17:22four twenty five. Ye, I'll go three ninety two through three ninety
- 17:29two. Yeah, okay, Kyla, what do you say. I'm gonna
- 17:34go one dollar one dollar? Uh, four seventy five, four seventy five,
- 17:45says Augie. And the actual retail price, the mean retail price of
- 17:49two tickets to the Ougy Buggy Bash is three hundred and eighteen dollars. Kyla
- 17:53takes that one. It was a strategy. It was a strategy absolutely work.
- 17:59I like, I gotta go high because Steve went wailo. All right,
- 18:04So Kyla and Casey have one item. Stevie and Aggie have two,
- 18:08so they're catching back up. Here's our next item up for bids. This
- 18:11incredible pie, This peanut butter and banana pie on a Hammond pretzel crust,
- 18:18was sold at auction in rich Hill, Missouri, and at the time became
- 18:22the most expensive pie auction according to Guinness World Records in twenty twelve. But
- 18:27this item can be yours if the cost is correct. And this time we're
- 18:32going to start with Stevie. These types of pies like illegal except for this
- 18:36day or something auction? But did it belong to somebody? I'm gonna say
- 18:41thirty seven dollars? Thirty seven that is an expensive pie? Kylo, what
- 18:48do you say? Three oh one, three hundred and one? Maybe maybe
- 18:53it was like a bidding war between two warring factions. Yes, the recipe
- 19:03deconstructed. Aggie, what do you say, Oh man, it's got to
- 19:06be something stupid like five hundred, right, five hundred dollars all right?
- 19:11Like something ridiculous, like why would you ever spend that much for a pie?
- 19:17Uh? Two seventy five, two seventy five. Good numbers, good
- 19:22numbers, all right, I think it's gonna surprise you. The actual winning
- 19:29bid for this pie was three thousand, one hundred dollars, which means Aggy
- 19:34wins the item and clinch to the first game. To go with my gut,
- 19:40because I was gonna say three thousands, he said five oh one.
- 19:45I was waiting for you to like somebody to like take a pig off of
- 19:48these guys. So it's like this piefle of weed or something. No,
- 19:52it's just a peanut butter and banana pie. It looked pretty damn good,
- 19:56and I don't know if there was to make it the most expensive. What
- 20:00was the crust? Hammond? No, no, it wasn't Hammond. It
- 20:03was Hammond. The name Hammond, Pretzel, Hamond Pretzelie. I mean,
- 20:15I love you, but not with peanut butter and bananas. You can do
- 20:22burgers with peanut butter and bananas. So I can't know. I mean,
- 20:25yeah, I've had peanut butter wings. All right, let's do this,
- 20:29but no, no, we'll make one. What do you say? We
- 20:33played the final item of forbids. Our final lie of my forbids is horror
- 20:38movie memorabilia. Jason Vorhe's costume from the two thousand and nine Friday the Thirteenth
- 20:45remake was put up for auction by Profiles in History that same year. And
- 20:51this item will go to the one of you who bids closest to the final
- 20:53winning bid without going over uh. And we'll start back with Kyla for this
- 20:59one. What do you think this one went for just for funzies? Eighty
- 21:03two thousand dollars. Eighty two thousand dollars. This, Kayla, people are
- 21:07weird crazy. This room is evidence of that. Aggie, I actually think
- 21:14it's bigger. I'm thinking it's like one hundred and thirty thousand dollars. One
- 21:18hundred and thirty thousand dollars, says Aggy Casey. I'm gonna stick close to
- 21:23my partner here and say seventy five thousand, seventy five thousand. All right,
- 21:29And last but not least, Steve as weird? Is it? It
- 21:32was scream used. Yeah, actual actually appeared on film, The actual costume
- 21:38that the actor was I'll say twenty one thousand. Well, the actual final
- 21:45winning bit of this item was forty five thousand dollars. So Steve, you
- 21:48would sick in that one. As well. Nice, I love Chris Casey.
- 21:52You need to make some distance between your partner. Yeah, cover,
- 21:56cover a bigger spread. Yeah yeah, listen, listen. Praises Rates typically
- 22:03not played as a team game. I don't expect you to know that strategy
- 22:07off the topic round work was the prices? Right? Oh my god,
- 22:15I shouldn't know this. That's okay, listen. I guess a team strategy
- 22:18isn't a big thing on prais. But it's okay because this game is only
- 22:22worth one point. The next game is worth two points, so you guys
- 22:23can easily flow it back. We're gonna play that game right after this.
- 22:36I'm Richie aka Midnight Agent Raw. I'm Devin aka Special Delivery Dev. We're

- 22:51out at Supermedia Bros. Podcast dot Com, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or
- 22:56anywhere else that you can listen to podcasts shades on. We're all hey man,
- 23:14welcome back. It's time for game two. Game two is gonna be
- 23:17Stevie's trivia Hole. We've played this game before. I'm gonna give our teams
- 23:22six categories, each concealing a trivia question with three multiple choice answers. They're
- 23:29going to answer that question and they'll learn a point for each one they get.
- 23:32Right. After all six questions have been asked, we will go into
- 23:36Stevie's trivia hole and a play a final seventh mystery question which will be asked
- 23:41and both teams are going to answer. That question is considered the hardest and
- 23:45it is worth two points. The team that has the most points after its
- 23:48seventh and final question we'll win the game and earn two episode points. So
- 23:53let me give you these categories. Categories you can choose from, and they
- 23:57are Pumpkin spice contains no pumpkin leaf me alone, riding the column bus,
- 24:07Beierenstein's Monster, I'm feeling fruity, or this question's a little corny and Kyla
- 24:15and Casey, you lost last game, so you first pick what set?
- 24:18So we're answering as a team. Yeah, you're answering as a team.
- 24:19You can you can confer which category would you like to try? What do
- 24:23you want to do? The leaf one? Okay, we can do the
- 24:27leak leaf me alone? Fair enough? All right? So here's your question.
- 24:32Why do leaves fall off of trees in autumn? Is it a they
- 24:37reach old age, be decreased sunlight, or see decreased temperatures. It's the
- 24:45temperatures. It's the temperatures. You want to lock that in? Do we
- 24:51want to lock in? Sure? Yeah? Okay, Fred, that's incorrect.
- 24:56It was decreased sunlight. Yea. As exposure to sunlight decreases, a
- 25:03growth hormone is sent to a cell between the stem and the leaf, forcing
- 25:07the leaf to separate and fall off. That makes a lot of sense.
- 25:11So yeah, that's no point for Kylen case. But it is still early.
- 25:18Yeah, maybe we'll see Stevie and Augie? What category would you guys
- 25:22like to try your hand out? All I remember is the pumpkin one at
- 25:26you have pumpkin spice contains no pumpkin riding the column bus Bernstein's Monster. I'm
- 25:33feeling fruity and this question's a little corny. I want to go beer Stein's
- 25:38Monster first. Cool, All right, here is your question from Bernstein's Monster.
- 25:45What country holds the largest october Fest celebration outside of Germany? Is it
- 25:51a the USA, B Canada or see Turkey wouldn't surprise me if it's fucking
- 25:59cannon. I don't know why, but I don't think it is. Actually,
- 26:03you know, it wouldn't spread it because I know some Canadians. There's
- 26:10a movie about it. Yeah, strange proved. Yeah, what are you
- 26:14thinking of? I've got no input on this because I don't really celebrate our
- 26:18Octoberfest. But I'm gonna go Canadas. You think Canada? He yea,
- 26:23do Canadians love the drink man? It's like that in hockey. All right,
- 26:26you're gonna lock that in, yes, sir, yeah, Canada,
- 26:30all right, and that will get you the point. It is Canada.
- 26:34The second largest Octoberfest celebration is held in Kitchener, Ontario. Yeah, just
- 26:40just over the border. Yeah yeah, that's one point to our dream team
- 26:45here who are killing it today somehow. But you still you can still do
- 26:52this, would you like? Uh, pumpkin spice holds no pumpkin riding the
- 26:57column bus. I'm feeling fruity or this question's a little quart Uh, let's
- 27:03go with the pumpkin spice. No pumpkin spice. Pumpkin spice has no pumpkin.
- 27:07All right, here's your question. The heaviest pumpkin ever grown, according
- 27:11to Guinness World Records. Was grown in what country? Is it a USA,
- 27:18the Switzerland or c Italy? What do you think? My initial thought
- 27:27is the USA, because we're the only ones who have like interest in this
- 27:32kind of bullshit. And I do know that Ohio has several like giant pumpkin
- 27:42competitions, and the USA probably does the most experimenting with sizes and stuff.
- 27:48Yeah, and like horn, I almost had hgh, but it's not human
- 27:52growth. Plant growth was in my mind. I'll say, the USA.
- 27:56Yeah, you're telling you all right, you want to lock that in?
- 27:57Sure? Sure, all right? It's locked in? And it is incorrect?
- 28:02Is it Italy? It is Italy? Yeah. It was two thousand,
- 28:06seven hundred and two pounds and it was grown in twenty twenty one.
- 28:11It used to be Switzerland before them. I don't think it's ever been the
- 28:14websay. That's a could be wrong, but it is. Yeah, it
- 28:18is currently in Italy. So well, that is correct answer, no point.
- 28:22There still a lot of game left. Stevie and Aggie, would you
- 28:25like riding the column bus? I'm feeling fruity or this question is a little
- 28:29corny fruit or corn? Sir, it it is all right, gentlemen.
- 28:36Here is your question. Which of these popular fall fruits is actually a berry,
- 28:41a apple, the Asian pear, or see pumpkin, mister science.
- 28:52Tactically, I guess the pumpkin because it comes off a vine. Yeah you
- 28:59yeah, I'm going to dog he's smarting me. I could be. I
- 29:02could be wrong, very likely. H oh, I'm thinking Barry's Okay,
- 29:07there you go. Barry is not one of the opports, but I heard
- 29:11it. Do you want to lock that in? Yes? Okay, that
- 29:17is another point for the dream team. I don't know what's happening. They
- 29:22don't know how to handle it. They don't win. I don't know.
- 29:26I don't really got too highlight show. We've elevated. This is your last
- 29:30chance to make up some ground before the final question. Would you like riding
- 29:34the column bus or this question's little corny? Let's go corner? Yeah,
- 29:38corn it is. I don't hate corn, and she's not my favorite the
- 29:45same room. I love me some sweet corn. Anyway. Here's your question.
- 29:48Which state hosts the largest corn maze in America? Is it a Nebraska,
- 29:56be California or ce Illinois? I'm gonna say my my, my initial
- 30:03guest is Illinois. That's my guess is Nebraska because they got the corn Huskers
- 30:07is one of their state school and the people I can we say Nebraska?
- 30:12Sure, can we say Nebraska. I'm going to trust you, all right,
- 30:15you decided to lock them in? Yeah, okay, you should have
- 30:19listened to Casey. I apologize, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. It's at
- 30:30a place called Richardson Adventure Farm in its twenty eight acres. This was the
- 30:33hardest question to write because there are multiple places in America that claimed to have
- 30:38one, but from all reports, it seems like the actual largest one is
- 30:42the Richardson Adventure Farm in Illinois has twenty eight acres. It's huge. They
- 30:48did a Jurassic Park theme last year. It was nuts and like Iowa is
- 30:53like that's their whole state identity is corn Yeah, it's one of the reasons
- 30:57why I left it off in Anyville. All right, So Stevie and Agy,
- 31:03you guys got stuck with riding the Columbus Yeah, okay. Which state
- 31:08was the first to make Columbus Day a legal holiday? A Colorado? Be
- 31:15Connecticut or see New Jersey? Mm hmm. Columbus yep, which state was
- 31:25the first to make Columbus Day a legal holiday? Okay? I Colorado just
- 31:30seems like it's so out there, like why would they do that? But
- 31:33at the same time they wanted an extra day off. Jersey seems more like
- 31:41it's because it's right there. You know. Connecticut's an interesting option. So
- 31:45I'm kind of like not sure if it's Jersey or you want to Connecticut.
- 31:49Yeah, Connecticut, Connecticut, Connecticut. Would you like to lock that in?
- 31:55Sure? Okay, that's your first misstep. That's wrong. It's not
- 32:00Anneticutt. It was Colorado. Really. Uh they made an illegal holiday on
- 32:04April Fool's Day nineteen o seven. Alright, so the score stands two points
- 32:13to the Dream Team, nothing for Kyl and Casey. But this last question
- 32:16is were two points. You can tie it if you get it right.
- 32:22So I will give you the choice as to which team you want to answer
- 32:24first. I'm gonna guess you probably want them to answer, and then you
- 32:27can choose something different to try and win the game. But you can strategize
- 32:31however you But if they get it right, they get it right, and
- 32:34we're done. Yeah, yeah, pretty much. If they get it right.
- 32:36There's nothing you can do. Let's chance it. All right, gentlemen,
- 32:45here is the question. I'm not going to tell them if they get
- 32:47it right before I ask you which one is going on first? Yeah,
- 32:52you're both going to answer. So so here's the final question. And Stephen
- 32:55and you're going to answer first. What day is National Apple Cider Day?
- 33:01Is it a September eighteenth, b October eighteenth or see November eighteenth. I
- 33:13don't know apples apple harvest is coming. I know, like we get the
- 33:21cider at the end of October. Do E though getting before that? But
- 33:27they haven't November two. I don't know. What do we get started to
- 33:29dude, I think a couple weeks. It's it's in September October. I'm
- 33:32leading more towards September harvest. Let's do it. We got this. You're
- 33:39saying September eighteen? Yeah, yeah, do you want to lock that in?
- 33:43Yeah? Okay, it's locked in. Kyl and Casey. Would you
- 33:45like to go with something different? We're gonna go with what do you think?
- 33:50I was thinking September because that's when you know apples are picked. Yeah,
- 33:57apples are picked then, but they gotta go through the the cider process.
- 34:00True, and October eighteenth is our parents wedding anniversary, so so yeah,
- 34:07that is true. They do base everything around food based holidays, so
- 34:15so they created us that you were born on National Pizza Day. Yeah,
- 34:22I was not. So are we go in October? I think so.
- 34:29I would like to go, but I granted I steered us wrong last time.
- 34:31So would you like to lock that in? No, let's do October?
- 34:35Okay, Yeah, let's do it. You're locking in October? Yes,
- 34:37all right, that is locked in. So I can tell you you
- 34:42have a chance because September is incorrect tiebreaker and October, okay is also it
- 34:52was November eighteenth, the date was established in the UK, and that was
- 34:58the same day William Tell shot the apple off his son's head. Gotcha.
- 35:04I don't know what they did with the apple after that, but I imagine
- 35:06they got drunk. Poor kid. In any event, that means at the
- 35:12end of the game, Stevie and Aggie have two points, Kyl and Casey
- 35:15have none, So Stevie and Aggie have won that game as well. They
- 35:20are up three episode of points. But listen, you have a chance to
- 35:23tie it and maybe afterwards, winning tiebreaker, gonna take it home. This
- 35:28final game is worth three points, so you need this one to tie,
- 35:32otherwise the dream Team will have made it a clean suite. But we're gonna
- 35:36play game three right after this. Hey, I'm Lauren and I'm John,
- 35:53and we host the Beard Doll Podcast, the podcast where we talk about two
- 35:58of the greatest things in the world, beer and weird al and a lot
- 36:01of other things. We're funny. Yeah, that's basically what I told him
- 36:06to say. Good job with listen, yay, but no, seriously,
- 36:10we try to heare of here were weird Al song and talk about both things
- 36:15and go where the conversation takes us. It's fun. I promise you'll like
- 36:20it. Yeah, I mean if you like talking about random things as well
- 36:24as you know, fine craft beers and some wonderful craft music. Hey man,
- 36:40welcome back. It's time for game three. Game three is gonna be
- 36:45the Bonfire. Usually this game is called the dumpster Fire, but because it's
- 36:50our fall episode, we're going to enjoy a warm and toasty bonfire that we
- 36:54will still throw the things that we don't like into so that they burn and
- 36:59disappear forever. I have five topics. We're gonna go through them one by
- 37:02one. Each player will name something from or about that topic that they would
- 37:07like removed from society forever. After all players have made their pitch, I'll
- 37:13choose the one that I want removed the most, and I'll throw it down
- 37:16the bonfire. That player earns a point for their team, and the first
- 37:21team to three points wins the game and earns three episode points. So,
- 37:27Kyla and Casey, you lost the last game, so you have the choice.
- 37:29Would you like to go first or second? It's it's up. It's
- 37:34not up to me. Let's first, Yeah, I will go first.
- 37:39Go first? All right, fair enough, So our first topic is going
- 37:43to be it's a very minor difference. Our first topic is going to be
- 37:45pumpkin Everything the nature of everything involve to be like pumpkin flavored in some way.
- 37:52What is your least favorite thing about that? What would you like about
- 37:55that to just be removed and disappeared forever. Either one of you can go
- 38:00as soon as you have something answer separately, or does it count for whoever
- 38:06gives the best one, the one I like the most, or rather the
- 38:07one I hate the most, because it's just about pumpkins or pumpkin flavored things,
- 38:13just pumpkin flavored things, not pumpkins themselves. Yeah, I did see
- 38:17one that was real pumpkin scented garbage bags, because then you're smelling like crappy,
- 38:27nasty ass garbage plus pumpkins. So then the next time you smell pumpkin,
- 38:30you're gonna think of the shit. And I just don't like that.
- 38:35I don't want to associate something I like with crappy garbage. Yeah, yeah,
- 38:40that one. That's me trying to think of something. But I,
- 38:46oh god, what's something like? What's a food item you don't like?
- 38:51It's pumpkin flavored? I don't know. I like pumpkin bread, so I
- 38:57can't say that. Yeah, I am not a fan of the well,
- 39:01I can't say. I think I've only had one pumpkin spice latte in my
- 39:05life, So you know what, I'm gonna go against all odds and say
- 39:09pumpkin spice laute good because I was I was not a fan of it.
- 39:15I like pumpkin bread, then I don't like to drink the pumpkin. And
- 39:22the thing with that is like the high bar and the low bar are about
- 39:25five miles apart, Like the really good ones are great, but the really
- 39:29bad ones are terrible. Yeah, So I'm gonna go, okay, do
- 39:35that just toss pumpkin spice, Lante. That's fair, Steve, mean agi,
- 39:38which one of you would you like to go first? I'll take it.
- 39:42I'm gonna say, just the intensity of the pumpkin spice, just the
- 39:46straight up in like I think it's too much. Yeah, like the fucking
- 39:51that that mixture of the non actual pumpkin that's spice like mixture they're used whatever,
- 39:55it's just too fucking strong. Yeah, and they mellowed it out.
- 39:59It probably wouldn't be as offensive to like half the fucking population, Like I
- 40:02wouldn't mind when October comes around and people were talking about it as much,
- 40:07and I'm like, okay, at least I'm not like getting hit in the
- 40:09face with it when they walk by. This is too fucking strong. Fair,
- 40:14Yeah, argue, what do you got? She don't mind? Oh?
- 40:19I was gonna say, like, yeah, just the overbearing aromaticness of
- 40:22pumpkins spice everything. But yeah, just it's just the over I get,
- 40:30Like pumpkin is like the big symbol of fall, but there's like all the
- 40:35things too, Like I feel like, uh, pumpkins as a symbol is
- 40:39just overdone. Okay, the symbol of pumpkins, yeah, saying of pumpkins.
- 40:45Fuck yes, I'm gonna put a sign out there with a pumpkin with
- 40:47a little circle and across to it. Right next to it's gonna be picking
- 41:00and then a pumpkin patch or jail is literally piketing his own crop. Okay,
- 41:07well, this to me, it's a no brainer, just because it
- 41:10sounded so awful. It's the pumpkin garbage bags. It's you would do that,
- 41:17dummies, Oh my god, that's yeah, that's instantly going on the
- 41:22fire. That is gonna be one point to Kyla and Casey. Yes,
- 41:24finally move on to topic number two. This time the dream Team are gonna
- 41:29answer first, gentlemen, what about October? Would you like to throw onto
- 41:35the bond fire? And Stevie just looks completely shocked, like Stevie's answer is
- 41:42going to be the fact that it ends right, I wants it to be
- 41:46October. I mean it's February seven eight days. Man, Let's just let's
- 41:51just take the let's just get rid of February. Let's get it let's gets
- 41:55added to the end of October October. It's fine, It's like, how
- 42:01amazing would that be? Another October Halloween from the thirty first and October October?
- 42:10Is that? Literally? What gonna be your answer? It is?
- 42:14Now? Okay? Then it's not that it's not long enough yet. Halloween
- 42:17part of on October, not just October itself. All right, all right,
- 42:22I'll take that. Did I take your thing too? He took my
- 42:24thing again? I was gonna say. The extension of Halloween as a holiday
- 42:32is that of just one day of celebration like Holloween Halloween. The day should
- 42:37be like the major like big day, but there should there should be a
- 42:40week leading up to it. Yeah, you can have that one you that's
- 42:45your answer. Sorry, thanks, I'm glad I can have. My answer
- 42:50will be wet to bear. Your answer is uh, I would for October
- 42:57would be the just the one major holiday. I would like the holiday to
- 43:00the extent the holiday to be longer. Fair enough, Okay, Kyle and
- 43:06Casey, which one of you wants to go first? Okay, I'll go
- 43:08first. I think it's silly that Octoberfest happens in September, and I think
- 43:15that should be rectified because it is confusing and I don't want to miss out
- 43:20any delicious beer. So okay, the fact that october Fest does not take
- 43:24place in October, Yeah, it is what you would like to send it
- 43:28back? Fair enough readjust fair enough. I'm going to say the gloomy weather.
- 43:34Although I like the gloomy weather. There's nothing better than a cool,
- 43:38crisp, sunny fall day. But you don't want the clouds of the rain.
- 43:44But I don't want the clouds of the rain, and I don't want
- 43:49the allergies that come with the clouds in the rain and the wet leaves.
- 43:53That's fair, That's fair. I gotta tell you, guys, I'm kind
- 43:57of disappointed you missed out on the easy get There is one absolute thing about
- 44:00October that I hundred percent hate and would have instantly gone with, and that
- 44:06would be Christmas ads. Oh yeah, nothing infuriates me more than seeing Christmas
- 44:14ads in October and the people who are trying they listen to Christmas already Listen,
- 44:20it's bad enough here encroaching on Thanksgiving, staying you're freaking lane Christmas time.
- 44:25Yeah, I don't. I think that's the whole thing we just until
- 44:29it happens walkers. But you know nobody want with that, so I have
- 44:31to go with my favorite answer from what you guys gave me, and that
- 44:36again has to be Kyla's answer, because because rules, because it is irritating
- 44:45that October Fest doesn't take place in October. Why isn't it called September Fest
- 44:50or just beer Fest? Just move into October? What's the problem in any
- 44:54of it? Thank you? All right? So that's another point for Kyl
- 44:58and Casey you might not. You just one more and there's three topics left,
- 45:01and this one I know you particularly like. Our third topic is going
- 45:06to be monster movies. What about monster movies? Would you like to throw
- 45:13onto the bonfire and be calling forever? Uh? Well, this is kind
- 45:17of political answer, like the helpless Damsel in Distress, Like you know,
- 45:23I really like the newer movies, like you know, Bryce Dallas Howard running
- 45:27in her high heels and she saves the day and Jurasque World and everything.
- 45:30But yeah, Damsel in Distress, bullshit, that's that's done. That's done,
- 45:35and like you know, we don't need that anymore. Women women can
- 45:37kill the giant crib. Why don't we ever see dudes in distress. Yeah,
- 45:42because you see him in real life. But anyway, I digress.
- 45:47Yes, they turned proud boys. I love it all right, Sorry sorry
- 45:55if I hurt an me proud boys feelings, Oh well, they're not complex
- 46:01enough. They don't have the emotional maturity. Then like a sponge. Think
- 46:08he's making fun of us. Topic it was, Kyla said the damsel in
- 46:15distress. Casey, what would you like to get rid of from Monster movies
- 46:21forever? I think all the sequels? Oh, why do we need eighteen
- 46:27thousand sequels? Single movie? Yea one idea and stick with it. I
- 46:37like that. Like that's fair. Come up with an idea, come up
- 46:39with an original, with an original idea, make it into something else.
- 46:45So I'm gonna says the endless sequels squel, that's fair, STEVI and Agi,
- 46:52what do you need this? I hope I don't take again? Better
- 46:54not going? You want to answer first? You go first? See what
- 46:58I have? It is kind of scared. Okay, I'm thinking, but
- 47:12I'd like to throw into a bonfire for Monster movies, right, yeah.
- 47:16Probably the lack of practical effects. It seems like they're going more CG,
- 47:22especially with blood effects. In a lot of these movies, and it's so
- 47:24blatantly clear and it's horrible. Stop it. It looks bad. It like
- 47:30your script could be garbage. The minute I see that, I'm not even
- 47:34getting into your script. It's like I see that, No, this is
- 47:36garbage fucking film, Like seriously, do it right or don't do it at
- 47:39all. And some of the really old movies where they'd use like an iguana
- 47:44to look like a dinosaur, we're pretty great, practical shit. It all
- 47:50looks better perspective. That is fair. It's actually, honestly the same complain
- 48:00and I've had for it for years is that they've become too jump scary.
- 48:04There's not enough suspense. There's not like there's not enough build up, like
- 48:09you don't okay, cool, you jumped out and startled me. But then
- 48:15after that where it's thin when it does it ten more times. We're a
- 48:17fan of the suspenseful movies anyway, Like not seeing the monster till the climactic
- 48:25end oftentimes is the best way to go around something, building it up,
- 48:30seeing what it can do, but not itself is can really set something in
- 48:34your mind of paint this picture of something far more protest than could possibly imagine,
- 48:38but having it flash in your face every five seconds to remind you what
- 48:42it looks like, you know, it's like whatever, Yeah, that's fair,
- 48:46that's fair. That's pretty good. This is genuinely tough. But I
- 48:52think I'm gonna have to get. The one that irritates me the most is
- 48:55all the sequels. This one's going to case is three straight for Kylin Casey.
- 49:02They had won this game, this game, all right, everybody's daving,
- 49:15everybody's davy. You're right, though, they don't need to reinvent the
- 49:17wheel, honestly, yeah, no, it was. It wasn't originally it
- 49:22was definitely like, I am the Damazlon Distress Troupe is so overdone. It's
- 49:27true. But like we did an episode of a movies episode where I found
- 49:31out in the research that if you heard of the movie Silent Night, Deadly
- 49:36Night, yeah, so it's not a mainstream movie, it's kind of yeah.
- 49:39I think they covered it on Kill Kill Count on YouTube. Probably,
- 49:45So this movie wound up getting like five sequels. They were like Silent Night,
- 49:52Deadly Night six, and I'm like, are you kidding me? Yeah?
- 49:55Look at the Walking Dead, there's like what six spinoff show. I
- 50:00mean, they really thought they were going to have like a whole like universe
- 50:04side. This is popular, so we're gonna do it. We're gonna meet
- 50:07it and make a spinoff show of a spin off show. Yeah, Fear
- 50:14the Walking Dead. It don't even get me start out on that one.
- 50:16That that show is crap. Yeah, it's terrible. So we have a
- 50:22tie game. Cool, So there's only one thing we can do. We
- 50:24need a tiebreaker. We're gonna play one more topic. Yeah, and wherever
- 50:30gets this topic wins the whole shebang, the whole kittle. Let's do it,
- 50:34Stevie. And because you guys lost the game, you have the choice
- 50:37do you want to go first or do you want them to go first.
- 50:40We're gonna go first. Yeah, we'll go first, all right, you
- 50:43guys are gonna go first. So this topic is hay rides. What about
- 50:47hay rides? Would you like to throw into the bonfire forever? Remembering,
- 50:53of course, this is for the game, and which one of you would
- 50:57like to go first? I got too, so go ahead, go verse.
- 51:00Then other people's kids's kids o'h my, goddamn, hey, right,
- 51:07I'm trying to enjoy the fucking ride with my family or friends this chill and
- 51:12you got little Jimmy wo won't sit the fuck down and made Yeah, it's
- 51:17like fucking, oh my god. I love going out. I love doing
- 51:21shill like that. Now when other people's kids are fucking just behaving as shit,
- 51:23it's irritating as fucked. It's like, and I'm not allowed to smack
- 51:27them anymore times. The book it changed such bullshit, you know, I
- 51:34can't think of another time when it was okay to beats. Two thousand and
- 51:37five officially changed two thousand Never slap around some other some kids, you don't
- 51:45know. I can't think of the time when that wouldn't be assault. But
- 51:51okay, maybe I should have let him go first. He gave me an
- 51:59apoler and ball argue. What do you think? What about hay rides?
- 52:02You know, oftentimes is the hay rides are meats, but they're always kind
- 52:08of flack luster in a way. I get that it's it's the limitation of
- 52:13those who are hosting. But oftentimes a hay ride just kind of surmounts to
- 52:17paying a teenager ten bucks to hang out in the cornfield and jump out,
- 52:22go boo. It's about it, so I feel like throw out kind of
- 52:27like the the lack luster ones, the ones that kind of just you're just
- 52:31riding in a circuit. You just want to throw away the crappy hay rides.
- 52:35Yeah, low energy hay rod effort. Okay, fair enough, kind
- 52:43of like Hasey, which one of you would like to go first? Okay?
- 52:49I'm tempted to say when you hit a rut and you get stuck,
- 52:52but that's kind of dumb because that doesn't happen every time. I'd say questionable,
- 52:54Hey, like if you're like, like the hay kind of looks a
- 53:00little nasty, like who was sitting on this before him? And it's somebody
- 53:05who's I'm a little bit allergic to her, Like, yeah, everything,
- 53:09I am allergic to everything, but questionable, Hey, I think it is
- 53:13my questionable what has been going down on this hay? What bugs are living
- 53:17in this hay? It's fantastic, Casey, what do you what do you
- 53:22hate about hay? Well? Going with my uh like the my personality not
- 53:29liking haunted things in general. I think haunted hay rides it hated the regular
- 53:37hay Rise. Are you just regular old hay Rise totaling along on the West,
- 53:40singing songs. Drink inside and give me some spiked cider. Doesn't have
- 53:47to be spiked, but spiked sighters is it's Yeah, I think the hauntedness
- 53:55of it. So I just want to be surrounded in like the smells.
- 54:00Like just I think we went to a really scary one when you were a
- 54:04little kid and mom, and like we we watched our parents be scared.
- 54:09Yeah, and that's horrifying to watch your parents be scared. That is traumatizing.
- 54:15Yeah, don't grab my leg. I'm five years old. Yeah,
- 54:20like that's creepy. Okay, so this is actually really hard. So Stevie
- 54:25went with my usual go to answer, which is other people, other people.
- 54:30However, Kyla got close to my instant win answer for this one,
- 54:35which would have been getting hay down. Yeah, the one I went on,
- 54:44I was finding hey in my clothes for like a week. I hated
- 54:51it, like and I didn't know I may have been allergic to it or
- 54:54whatnot, but like, yeah, that whole week I hated it's hey getting
- 55:01everywhere. It would have been an instant Kyla actually got pretty close to that
- 55:07with questionable yeah, which I would also find out quitting. Oh yeah,
- 55:15which one do? I actually sit down it and it just like seeps a
- 55:19little bit. Yeah, it's like just a little damp. Yeah. I'm
- 55:22trying to be super fair about this because I don't just want to pick the
- 55:25winner. What's that? Is that mushroom spores? That just kids? Yeah?
- 55:30Is that poop? They? Okay, it could be poop. We're
- 55:39gonna we're gonna go with the questionable hey as much as I pop joke.
- 55:44Yeah, with the joke. Yeah, if Steve, if you had just
- 55:49gone straight other people and not other people's kids, I probably would have given
- 55:53it to you. You had you had to be completely everybody but kids,
- 56:00that's easy. You feel like you narrowed it down too much. And when
- 56:04going straight for the l is that poop? You don't know? I was
- 56:07like, oh god, oh god, oh god, it's true. I
- 56:10immediately just kind of I felt my spine kind of drenched up, and I
- 56:14was like, oh god, yeah, I had to go with that.
