- 0:02A border sovereign is the occult force.
- 0:05A threshold guardian of the earth seems beyond.
- 0:08She has canalized the outbreaks of the gods and cut through
- 0:13vistas of intuitive sight, a long road of shimmering
- 0:17discoveries. The worlds of a marvellous
- 0:20unknown were near behind her an ineffable presence stood.
- 0:25Her reign received their Mystic influences, their lion forces
- 0:29crouched beneath her feet. The future sleeps unknown behind
- 0:34their doors. Abysm's Infernal gaped round the
- 0:39soul steps and called to its mounting vision.
- 0:42Peak's divine, an endless climb and adventure of the idea there
- 0:49tirelessly tempted the explorer mind, and countless voices
- 0:54visited the charmed ear. A million figures passed and
- 0:58were seen no more. This was a forefront of God's
- 1:03thousandfold house, beginnings of the half screened invisible.
- 1:09A magic porch of entry glimmering quivered in a
- 1:12penumbra of screened light. A court of the mystical traffic
- 1:17of the world's, a balcony and miraculous facade.
- 1:22Above her lightened high immensities.
- 1:25All the unknown looked out from boundlessness.
- 1:29It lodged upon an edge of hourless time, gazing out of
- 1:33some everlasting now, its shadows gleaming with the birth
- 1:38of gods, its bodies signalling the bodyless, its foreheads
- 1:43glowing with the oversoul, its forms projected from the
- 1:48unknowable, its eyes dreaming of the ineffable, its faces staring
- 1:54into eternity. Life and him learned its huge
- 1:59subconscient rear, the little fronts unlocked to the unseen
- 2:06vasts. Her gulfs stood nude, her far
- 2:10transcendences flamed in transparencies of crowded light.
- 2:17A giant order was discovered here, of which the tassel and
- 2:21extended fringe are the scant stuff of our material lives.
- 2:27This overt universe, whose figures hide the secrets merged
- 2:31in superconcient light, wrote clear the letters of its glowing
- 2:36code. A map of subtle signs surpassing
- 2:39thought was hung upon a wall of inmost mind, illumining the
- 2:45world's concrete images into significant symbols.
- 2:49By its gloss it offered to the intuitive exigent its reflex of
- 2:56the eternal mystery. Ascending and descending twixt
- 3:01life's poles, the serried kingdoms of the Graded Law
- 3:06plunged from the everlasting into time.
- 3:11Then, glad of a glory of multitudinous mind and rich with
- 3:15life's adventure and delight, and packed with the beauty of
- 3:19matter, shapes and hues climbed back from time into undying
- 3:24self, up a golden ladder, carrying the soul, tying with
- 3:30diamond threads to spirit's extremes.
- 3:34In this drop from consciousness to consciousness, each leaned on
- 3:39the occult in conscience power, the fountain of its needed
- 3:43ignorance, Arch Mason of the limits by which it lives.
- 3:49In this sore from consciousness to consciousness, each lifted
- 3:54tops to that from which it came, origin of all that it had ever
- 3:58been, and home of all that it could still become.
- 4:03An organ scale of the Eternal's acts mounting to their climax in
- 4:08an endless calm paces of the many visaged.
- 4:12Wonderful predestined stadia of the evolving way, measures of
- 4:18the stature of the growing soul. They interpreted existence to
- 4:23itself and mediating Twix the heights and deeps united the
- 4:30veiled married opposites and linked creation to the
- 4:34ineffable. A last high world was seen,
- 4:38where all worlds meet. In its summit gleam where night
- 4:43is not, nor sleep. The light began of the Trinity
- 4:47Supreme. All there discovered what it
- 4:50seeks for here it freed the finite into boundlessness and
- 4:56rose into its own eternities. The inconscient found its heart
- 5:02of consciousness. The idea and feeling groping and
- 5:06ignorance, at last clutched passionately the body of truth,
- 5:11the music born in matter's silences, plucked nude out of
- 5:15the ineffable's fathomlessness. The meaning it had held but
- 5:20could not voice. The perfect rhythm now only
- 5:23sometimes dreamed an answer brought to the torn earth's
- 5:27hungry need rending the night that had concealed the unknown.
- 5:32Giving to her her lost, forgotten soul.
- 5:37A grand solution closed the long impasse in which the heights of
- 5:42mortal effort end. A reconciling wisdom looked on
- 5:46life. It took the striving undertones
- 5:50of mine and took the confused refrain of human hopes, and made
- 5:55of them a sweet and happy call. It lifted from an underground of
- 6:02pain the inarticulous murmur of our lives, and found for it a
- 6:07sense illimitable, a mighty oneness, its perpetual theme.
- 6:13It caught the soul's faint scattered utterances, read
- 6:18hardly twixt our lines of rigid thought, or mid this drowse and
- 6:23coma on matter's breast heard like disjointed mutterings in
- 6:28sleep. It grouped the golden lynx that
- 6:32they had lost and showed to them their divine unity, saving from
- 6:38the error of divided self. The deep spiritual cry in all
- 6:42that is, all the great words that toiled to express the One,
- 6:49were lifted into an absoluteness of light, an ever burning
- 6:53revelation's fire, and the immortality of the Eternal
- 6:58Voice. There was no quarrel more of
- 7:03truth with truth. The endless chapter of their
- 7:06differences retold in light by an omniscient scribe, travelled
- 7:11through difference towards unity.
- 7:14Mind's winding search lost every tinge of doubt led to its end by
- 7:19an all seeing speech that garbed the initial and original thought
- 7:24with the finality of an ultimate phrase.
- 7:29United were time's creative mood and tense to the style and
- 7:33syntax of identity. A pain swelled from the lost
- 7:38musing deeps. An anthem pealed to the triune
- 7:41ecstasies, a cry of the moments to the immortal's bliss, as if
- 7:47the strophies of a cosmic ode. A hierarchy of climbing
- 7:51harmonies peopled with voices and with visages, aspired in a
- 7:56crescendo of the gods from matter's abysses to the spirit's
- 8:01peaks. Above were the immortal's
- 8:04changeless seats, white chambers of dalliance with eternity and
- 8:10the stupendous gates of the alone.
- 8:13Across the unfolding of the Seas of self appeared the deathless
- 8:18countries of the 1A. Many miracled consciousness
- 8:23unrolled, vast aim and process and unfettered norms.
- 8:27A larger nature's great familiar roads, a franchise from the net
- 8:33of earthly sense. Calm continents of potency were
- 8:37glimpsed. Homelands of beauty shut to
- 8:40human eyes, half seen at first through wonders.
- 8:43Gleaming lids surprised the vision with Felicity.
- 8:48Sunbelts of knowledge, moonbelts of delight, stretched out in an
- 8:53ecstasy of widenesses beyond our indigent corporeal range.
- 9:00There he could enter there a while, abide a Voyager upon
- 9:05uncharted routes, fronting the viewless danger of the unknown.
- 9:10Adventuring across enormous realms, he broke into another
- 9:15space and time.
