- 0:00Speaker 1: Where should I begin?
- 0:00Speaker 2: Can we talk about this? Say?
- 0:02Speaker 3: What are you trying to do beyond the usual controversial talking.
- 0:10Speaker 4: Welcome to one, Prepare yourself, okay for.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Craig, preparing my spectacle?
- 0:19Speaker 5: Here, particulate stimulated shooting.
- 0:25Speaker 2: There. There you go.
- 0:27Speaker 5: You start becoming a team.
- 0:29Speaker 2: This is the Craig Cullin Show.
- 0:33Speaker 5: Jesus, oh God, no, start talking talk.
- 0:36Speaker 6: This station is now the ultimate power in the universe.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Your hosts, Yeah, Craig.
- 0:42Speaker 5: That's right. It is the Craig Collins Show, k s
- 0:45Speaker 5: c V kgbc H the Voice of Texas Thrilled to
- 0:49Speaker 5: be with you. Producer Lucas is in all week, I believe,
- 0:53Speaker 5: on the board for this show. So you can call him,
- 0:56Speaker 5: talk to him. You gotta be nice to him, because
- 0:58Speaker 5: if you're mean to him, hang up, and he's totally
- 1:00Speaker 5: allowed to do that, completely fine for any reason. I
- 1:03Speaker 5: don't know why someone would call in and just be
- 1:05Speaker 5: mean to Lucas, mean to the producer in general, but
- 1:08Speaker 5: if you do, he'll hang up. Tierre made a great
- 1:10Speaker 5: phone call to Chris X's show earlier. I thought that
- 1:13Speaker 5: was awesome. I heard that as well as just sitting
- 1:17Speaker 5: here kind of hanging out. I getting ready for my show,
- 1:20Speaker 5: and I agreed with a lot of things that he said.
- 1:21Speaker 5: And actually I've often quoted that same quote Tierre about
- 1:25Speaker 5: how Jesus said that if you hurt kids, you strown yourself.
- 1:29Speaker 5: I'm paraphrasing your version with the fancy millstone and whatnot,
- 1:33Speaker 5: but yes, that's something that Jesus himself said, so obviously
- 1:37Speaker 5: pretty definitive take in the world of don't hurt kids,
- 1:41Speaker 5: or you're really not deserving of being around on this planet.
- 1:44Speaker 5: Lindsey Graham shockingly died over the weekend, and one of
- 1:48Speaker 5: the worst things that happens now in society happened all
- 1:54Speaker 5: over again, and it was people that are celebrating his death.
- 1:58Speaker 5: And it's not just leftists, although there were a lot
- 2:01Speaker 5: of leftists that were doing this. There's a lot of
- 2:03Speaker 5: people who consider themselves independence, libertarian, whatever the term is
- 2:07Speaker 5: you want to claim, that's not a Republican or a Democrat,
- 2:10Speaker 5: who are happy at certain aspects of these sort of
- 2:13Speaker 5: stories because they think it gets them closer to the
- 2:16Speaker 5: political agenda they have. And it's just disgusting. And I'll
- 2:21Speaker 5: say this, and I mean this as clearly as I can.
- 2:24Speaker 5: Even if you're someone that I disagree with wholeheartedly from
- 2:27Speaker 5: like a political standing. I'm not wishing you dead. And
- 2:31Speaker 5: if you pass away, even though some say that you
- 2:34Speaker 5: should talk about someone in death the way you talked
- 2:36Speaker 5: about them in life, I don't need to win the
- 2:38Speaker 5: argument anymore. You're not here to defend yourself. You're not
- 2:42Speaker 5: part of the discussion. I can argue with who's ever
- 2:45Speaker 5: still here, who's ever still making these decisions, who's ever
- 2:48Speaker 5: pushing as certain roads? But we're no longer fighting. It's
- 2:52Speaker 5: not a fair fight because a person who's not alive,
- 2:55Speaker 5: I can't participate. And so I just don't understand so
- 2:59Speaker 5: much to this. President Trump at times seemed to not
- 3:03Speaker 5: get along with Lindsay Graham, but over the last several
- 3:06Speaker 5: years very much got along with him, and Lindsay fought
- 3:08Speaker 5: for a lot of the things that Trump wanted, especially
- 3:11Speaker 5: the Save Act or the Save America Act, which was
- 3:14Speaker 5: Lindsay's next goal. And he died so suddenly that he
- 3:18Speaker 5: was making phone calls right up until he had the
- 3:21Speaker 5: heart thing that occurred there. And I know there's conspiracy
- 3:25Speaker 5: theorists out there. His father died of a heart attack,
- 3:28Speaker 5: heart condition. It's something that happens. I don't know why
- 3:32Speaker 5: everything has to be conspiracy theory, but I thought President
- 3:35Speaker 5: Trump said a lot of really good things in the
- 3:37Speaker 5: world of Lindsay Graham on Fox and Friends this morning,
- 3:40Speaker 5: so we'll play that first. I heard the audio that
- 3:43Speaker 5: Chris used, Chris acts of Lindsey Graham, just attacking the
- 3:48Speaker 5: crap out of the horrible Democrats and the things they
- 3:51Speaker 5: were saying to Brett Kavanaugh. I think Clay of Clay
- 3:54Speaker 5: and Buck also did that piece of audio. I heard
- 3:57Speaker 5: it on Clay Show earlier today when I was driving
- 4:00Speaker 5: in and thumbing through the stations. I promise I listened
- 4:02Speaker 5: mostly to KSV radio, but there are times our signal
- 4:05Speaker 5: is a work in progress where you accidentally thumb over
- 4:08Speaker 5: somewhere else. So I think it's making the rounds. I
- 4:10Speaker 5: think it's all over the place as far as Lindsay
- 4:12Speaker 5: Graham audio goes. So I'll probably play that too. I
- 4:15Speaker 5: know you just heard it a little bit ago. And
- 4:17Speaker 5: then finally I'm going to play use some audio in
- 4:18Speaker 5: this first segment of who they've replaced Lindsay Graham with,
- 4:22Speaker 5: at least in the short term. And it's a fantastic
- 4:25Speaker 5: move in President Trump actually recommended they do it. But first,
- 4:28Speaker 5: here is the president talking about the great man that
- 4:31Speaker 5: was lost in Lindsay Graham over the weekend.
- 4:33Speaker 2: We lost a great man. He was a great man.
- 4:36Speaker 2: He was a great politician, and he was a kind man.
- 4:39Speaker 2: And you know who really lost Israel, Ukraine, a lot
- 4:42Speaker 2: of countries that he really fought for, and they lost
- 4:45Speaker 2: somebody who was very special. But I lose it was
- 4:48Speaker 2: the United States of America. We lost a great person,
- 4:52Speaker 2: a kind person, a very smart person, and a great
- 4:56Speaker 2: great you know, they ask me sometimes, what do you
- 4:58Speaker 2: think he was a great politician. You know, we have
- 5:01Speaker 2: mostly bad politicians politicians point this guy was a great politician.
- 5:07Speaker 2: He really got it and he was a nice guy.
- 5:10Speaker 2: And you know very well you interviewed a probably five
- 5:13Speaker 2: hundred thousand times to get it. I think he got
- 5:15Speaker 2: more television time than anybody in history.
- 5:18Speaker 5: He got a lot of TV time. That is something
- 5:20Speaker 5: to throw out there that demonstrates that Lindsey Graham was
- 5:23Speaker 5: maybe someone more palatable to some on the left that
- 5:26Speaker 5: they would have him on. Certainly someone who was defiantly
- 5:31Speaker 5: standing next to the president on a lot of issues
- 5:33Speaker 5: over the last several years. As I said, and just
- 5:36Speaker 5: an individual that again seemed to demonstrate a lot of
- 5:40Speaker 5: what the core aspects of being a good politician are
- 5:44Speaker 5: being you know, strong in your convictions, et cetera, et cetera,
- 5:49Speaker 5: and at times being fairly entertaining in some of the
- 5:51Speaker 5: interviews that he did not the person that people were
- 5:55Speaker 5: expecting to pass away. If you got a breaking news
- 5:58Speaker 5: story over the weekend saying that someone important in politics
- 6:01Speaker 5: had died, you wouldn't have guessed it was Lindsay Graham.
- 6:04Speaker 5: You would have thought it was Mitch McConnell. Mitch McConnell
- 6:06Speaker 5: who put up I think, photos of himself with his
- 6:08Speaker 5: wife in the hospital waving. But anyway, the biggest, the
- 6:12Speaker 5: most significant take to me, outside of talking about what
- 6:16Speaker 5: you do and don't think about Lindsay Graham the politician
- 6:19Speaker 5: indoor person, is how horrible people are now. And I
- 6:24Speaker 5: actually I filled in on a different radio station earlier
- 6:26Speaker 5: today and I had a debate with one of the
- 6:28Speaker 5: libertarian hosts who works at that station, good guy. I
- 6:32Speaker 5: invited him on very kind of jump on. I actually
- 6:35Speaker 5: I kind of attempted to book more people I disagree
- 6:38Speaker 5: with and argue with them, especially people that I call friends,
- 6:42Speaker 5: because then in that way, hopefully we're both civil the
- 6:45Speaker 5: entire time. But there's something about it what the judge
- 6:47Speaker 5: provides to the amigos. I know people. I know people
- 6:50Speaker 5: who would say the same sort of things that the
- 6:53Speaker 5: judge would say, and I could have them on this
- 6:55Speaker 5: show and then I could tell them how they're wrong.
- 6:57Speaker 5: I'llah ben Strusan's style of Senator Bettencourt too, but I
- 7:02Speaker 5: don't know. I was talking to this person that definitely
- 7:04Speaker 5: thinks things opposite me, and one of the things he
- 7:07Speaker 5: said was quote good about Lindsey Graham dying is that
- 7:11Speaker 5: he had one less vote going in directions he didn't
- 7:14Speaker 5: want it to go it and that's disgusting. And then
- 7:16Speaker 5: I'll also point out something else. It's also inherently untrue
- 7:21Speaker 5: because today they decided to appoint Lindsay Graham's sister, a
- 7:25Speaker 5: beloved sister of his, as the interim person holding that
- 7:29Speaker 5: Senate seat, and then, based on whoever wins the next election,
- 7:32Speaker 5: people might vote very similar to Lindsay Graham if they
- 7:36Speaker 5: reflect the constituents in that area and the constituents want
- 7:39Speaker 5: certain things done. It doesn't mean that whoever wins the
- 7:41Speaker 5: inevitable election will vote any differently. So it's a very
- 7:44Speaker 5: hollow victory and a gross one to say it in
- 7:49Speaker 5: connection to someone dying. But here here's a little bit
- 7:51Speaker 5: of the announcement that the sister will be taking over.
- 7:54Speaker 5: Darlene Graham is now a US senator, which has got
- 7:59Speaker 5: to be a pretty interesting experience. Horrible in one sense
- 8:03Speaker 5: because you're grieving and you lose a family member, but
- 8:06Speaker 5: then completely unexpected in another sense, and you're gonna have
- 8:09Speaker 5: to carry the weight of what your brother was doing
- 8:11Speaker 5: throughout the remainder of his term, which is January of
- 8:15Speaker 5: twenty twenty seven, so you know about six months or so,
- 8:19Speaker 5: seven months that you're going to be doing a thing.
- 8:20Speaker 7: Here we go today under the law, it's my duty,
- 8:24Speaker 7: to an honor to name someone to serve in the
- 8:28Speaker 7: place of this irresistible man, this irreplaceable man, this extraordinary man.
- 8:38Speaker 5: For the remainder of his term.
- 8:41Speaker 7: Lindsey took care of his little sister in years long departed.
- 8:47Speaker 7: It's my honor to ask his little sister, Darlene Graham,
- 8:51Speaker 7: to finish his work for him.
- 8:53Speaker 5: Now, that's amazing. Murdy getting choked up a little bit
- 8:57Speaker 5: to be honest with you. And those are some South
- 8:59Speaker 5: Carolina people right there. I McMaster the governor there, he's
- 9:03Speaker 5: as South Carolina as it gets in the accident that
- 9:07Speaker 5: I think he has, or maybe you'd actually call that
- 9:09Speaker 5: like Kentucky. I don't know what you would down here
- 9:11Speaker 5: in Texas. I don't want to offend anybody by reacting
- 9:14Speaker 5: to some of this, But here is the sister herself
- 9:17Speaker 5: talking a little bit about many, many of the things
- 9:21Speaker 5: that she'll miss about her brother.
- 9:23Speaker 3: I think this is what Lindsay would have wanted, and
- 9:26Speaker 3: I plan to honor him in this way. Now to Lindsay,
- 9:32Speaker 3: I miss you more than I can even put into words,
- 9:37Speaker 3: that I'm going to do this, I got it.
- 9:40Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 9:43Speaker 5: It's amazing, amazing to me that she says I'm going
- 9:46Speaker 5: to miss you more than I can put it in words,
- 9:48Speaker 5: but also that I got it. You know, my little
- 9:51Speaker 5: brother and I have this agreement that whenever anything crazy happens,
- 9:54Speaker 5: if one of the two of us can handle it,
- 9:56Speaker 5: the only thing we have to say to the other
- 9:58Speaker 5: person is I got it. And then if you say that,
- 10:01Speaker 5: and it's the two of us together, no matter what
- 10:03Speaker 5: the thing is like, anything could be going on. If
- 10:06Speaker 5: one of us believes that we can handle it, and
- 10:08Speaker 5: we say to the other, I got it. It's over,
- 10:10Speaker 5: it's done. You don't have to do anything. I can
- 10:12Speaker 5: go home. If he's got it, I can just leave,
- 10:14Speaker 5: regardless of what the thing is. I looks like Jimmy
- 10:17Speaker 5: X's on the phone. Let's get to Jimmy X. Jimmy
- 10:20Speaker 5: X calling from Planet Earth, I believe is where he
- 10:22Speaker 5: always says he's calling from. How you doing, dude?
- 10:26Speaker 1: Well, I feel like I can now keep my man
- 10:30Speaker 1: card because watching that announcement live earlier, I got a
- 10:35Speaker 1: little choked up myself.
- 10:36Speaker 5: Greg Yeah, and dude, come on, go ahead.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Knowing the life story of Blundsey Graham and his sister,
- 10:46Speaker 1: and for those out in the audience that don't know,
- 10:50Speaker 1: mom and dad were both entrepreneurs. They owned a small
- 10:54Speaker 1: restaurant in a pool hall in South Carolina, and when
- 11:00Speaker 1: his sister was eleven, the mom died tragically. Eighteen months later,
- 11:08Speaker 1: the dad died. So here she is thirteen years old
- 11:13Speaker 1: and both her mom and dad are gone, her big
- 11:16Speaker 1: brothers twenty two years old and graduating college right trying
- 11:20Speaker 1: to start a life, and Lindsey Graham says I don't worry.
- 11:25Speaker 1: I'm going to take care of you. I'm going to
- 11:28Speaker 1: raise you.
- 11:29Speaker 5: Yeah. Amazing.
- 11:30Speaker 1: And here we fast forward bro forty fifty years and
- 11:35Speaker 1: he passed away and she's a United States senator.
- 11:39Speaker 5: Right.
- 11:40Speaker 1: It's yes, what a full story, Greg, Yeah, I thank you.
- 11:47Speaker 5: I did know that story, but I hadn't told it,
- 11:50Speaker 5: and I should have told it. And as you were
- 11:51Speaker 5: telling it, I'm like, man, I should have said all this.
- 11:53Speaker 5: But thank god Jimmy X is calling in to do it,
- 11:55Speaker 5: because it is incredible. It is the kind of thing
- 11:59Speaker 5: that you can hear it in her voice when she's
- 12:01Speaker 5: talking about her brother. You can hear the way that
- 12:04Speaker 5: she feels about someone who did that for her of
- 12:07Speaker 5: a lot of families might do that, but many families don't,
- 12:11Speaker 5: and so it's just incredible. And yeah, I assume. And
- 12:14Speaker 5: this is the stupid I apologize for pivoting it to
- 12:17Speaker 5: this because this is way less valuable than what you
- 12:19Speaker 5: were just talking about, Jimmy. But it's the thing that
- 12:21Speaker 5: made me so mad about the guy I was talking
- 12:23Speaker 5: to in a different state on a different radio station
- 12:26Speaker 5: when he was like happy that votes are going to
- 12:28Speaker 5: go a different way because Lindsay Graham passed away because no,
- 12:30Speaker 5: they're not. His sister is probably going to vote exactly
- 12:33Speaker 5: like him. And whoever actually wins that race after this,
- 12:36Speaker 5: maybe it is her, maybe she'll run and win, But
- 12:38Speaker 5: whoever it is, hopefully they continue to vote the same
- 12:41Speaker 5: way that Lindsay does. And then it's such a weird
- 12:43Speaker 5: thing to celebrate in such a dark way that doesn't
- 12:46Speaker 5: even wind up being accurate. I don't know. It made
- 12:49Speaker 5: me so mad to see that part of all this
- 12:51Speaker 5: over the weekend.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Well, I will tell you that I believe this is
- 12:59Speaker 1: a short term deal for her. Sure, I think she's
- 13:01Speaker 1: got a life, and I don't think she's not power hungry.
- 13:05Speaker 1: She's never run for political office. I would really like
- 13:10Speaker 1: to see Nancy May run that seat, because I think
- 13:13Speaker 1: Nancy Mace is a lot of Lindsey Graham and kind
- 13:17Speaker 1: of a little bit of a rebel, unmarried and you know,
- 13:25Speaker 1: you know, I don't know why the governor and that's
- 13:27Speaker 1: how he's pronounced the governor introducing the sister. I don't
- 13:36Speaker 1: know if I'd say Lindsey Graham was irresistible.
- 13:41Speaker 5: Nancy May, you can Nancy, you can say that about
- 13:45Speaker 5: Nancy Mace is a good looking human. That is absolutely true.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Hey, sorry, continue, And you know I have to live
- 13:51Speaker 1: within hr rules every day, and I would just say
- 13:55Speaker 1: Nancy Mace is not ugly. Okay, that's what I would say.
- 14:00Speaker 5: She is not. She's doing just fine. And actually I
- 14:02Speaker 5: do like, you know, I hadn't thought of that. I
- 14:04Speaker 5: do like that idea because there is a little bit
- 14:06Speaker 5: of a wild cart to Nancy Mason, some of the
- 14:08Speaker 5: things she says and thinks, and there are occasions where
- 14:11Speaker 5: she might go a different road than anybody else. And
- 14:14Speaker 5: Lindsay Graham at times did that too. Lindsay Graham at
- 14:17Speaker 5: times trailed or blazed his own trail, and so I
- 14:20Speaker 5: do think that Mace would land in that same orbit.
- 14:23Speaker 5: And then by and large does do things that support
- 14:26Speaker 5: the president, just occasionally doesn't, but most of the time
- 14:29Speaker 5: is usually a lockstep, which is I think important for
- 14:33Speaker 5: whoever winds up in this role. Though because of how
- 14:36Speaker 5: it'll work, it'll mostly be Lindsay's sister that'll be dealing
- 14:40Speaker 5: with President Trump, and only for a short amount of
- 14:42Speaker 5: time would it be somebody else. So I don't know.
- 14:45Speaker 5: It's so interesting politics in a stupid way, And this
- 14:50Speaker 5: is a dumb thing to ask you, Jimmy, But do
- 14:52Speaker 5: you remember it being like this years ago? I know,
- 14:55Speaker 5: if we like back, if we rewind far enough to
- 14:59Speaker 5: the eight teen fifties, people are shooting each other, duels
- 15:02Speaker 5: are legal, and politicians are killing each other. I know
- 15:05Speaker 5: that that was a thing, But there was a good
- 15:07Speaker 5: chunk of time where civil society no longer did stuff
- 15:11Speaker 5: like that and we didn't celebrate death. And now so
- 15:15Speaker 5: often I see it. It's just crazy.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Man. You're so right, Craig. You know, I've been following
- 15:23Speaker 1: politics since I was probably four or five years old.
- 15:26Speaker 1: I've shared that with you in the past. Yeah, I'm
- 15:29Speaker 1: sixty two years old. I've been a political junkie my
- 15:31Speaker 1: whole life. And all you have to do is point
- 15:36Speaker 1: back when the representatives from Florida back in nineteen sixty
- 15:41Speaker 1: two or sixty three read into the Congressional record the
- 15:46Speaker 1: Communist manifesto on how they were going to overtake the
- 15:49Speaker 1: United States, and part of that was to divide us. Yeah,
- 15:53Speaker 1: and that's what has happened. We are now at deeply,
- 15:57Speaker 1: deeply divided nation. We are a nation that doesn't want
- 16:01Speaker 1: to talk. All we want to do is just point
- 16:04Speaker 1: fingers blame the other guy. I'm right, you're wrong. And
- 16:09Speaker 1: that's what makes talk radios so dang attractive because it
- 16:14Speaker 1: gives us the abilities, the average citizens driving home from
- 16:17Speaker 1: work on Bellwegh eight, to just talk politics and express
- 16:21Speaker 1: my point of view. And you're not going to try
- 16:24Speaker 1: to kill me or shoot me.
- 16:26Speaker 5: No, I have no interest now. And you're absolutely right
- 16:29Speaker 5: about that. The value of conversation. It's what Charlie Cook
- 16:32Speaker 5: Kirk stood for. And it's one of the horrible reasons
- 16:35Speaker 5: that Charlie Kirk also being killed and happening to be
- 16:38Speaker 5: in the news over the last couple of weeks is
- 16:40Speaker 5: just an odd coincidence, but it was his goal. He said,
- 16:43Speaker 5: when the talking stops, the violence starts, and the talking
- 16:47Speaker 5: has stopped for a lot of people for a long time.
- 16:50Speaker 5: That was an impressive reference. By the way of her
- 16:53Speaker 5: Long Junior, as Herlong Junior nineteen sixty three, who read
- 16:57Speaker 5: the forty five Communist goals into record, you are in
- 17:01Speaker 5: fact a political junkie, my friend. That was That was
- 17:05Speaker 5: definitive proof of it. But to get back to what
- 17:08Speaker 5: you were actually saying and to react to the idea
- 17:10Speaker 5: of it. It's so often that I see people I've
- 17:13Speaker 5: been unfriending, and I usually don't do this, and it
- 17:15Speaker 5: doesn't matter who gives a crap who I'm friends with
- 17:18Speaker 5: on social media. But for the first time, I've been
- 17:21Speaker 5: seeing these posts about Lindsay and I'm just like, I'm done.
- 17:23Speaker 5: I'm not going to react. I'm not going to tell
- 17:25Speaker 5: you why you're an idiot. I'm just going to not
- 17:27Speaker 5: be friends with this social media person that I thought
- 17:30Speaker 5: was a nice person. And then they do something like that,
- 17:33Speaker 5: they celebrate somebody's death.
- 17:35Speaker 1: They're sick, Craig and honest to God, man, it's not
- 17:39Speaker 1: our side that acts like that, I know, not, Okay,
- 17:44Speaker 1: it's their side. You know, when Trump was shot, they
- 17:48Speaker 1: were celebrating. Yeah, you know, when Margaret Thatcher died, they celebrated.
- 17:54Speaker 1: You know. They They are sick, George Bush. They're sick
- 17:59Speaker 1: human beings, man.
- 18:00Speaker 4: Okay.
- 18:01Speaker 1: And you don't celebrate someone's death, all right, Right, you don't, Okay.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Obama and Hillary are probably gonna die before I do. Sure, Okay,
- 18:12Speaker 1: I'm not going to celebrate it. Okay. Harry Reeve die,
- 18:17Speaker 1: the racist Ruth Bader Ginsburg die. I didn't celebrate that,
- 18:22Speaker 1: all right. I shut my mouth and let people you
- 18:26Speaker 1: know post their tribute.
- 18:28Speaker 5: So what Yeah, No, you know what, I like that
- 18:31Speaker 5: you mentioned that part because it's not like I'm going
- 18:32Speaker 5: to change my belief about a person after their death.
- 18:36Speaker 5: I'm not going to pretend that I like the politician
- 18:37Speaker 5: I didn't like. But I don't need to say anything,
- 18:39Speaker 5: as I said a minute ago, to me like the
- 18:42Speaker 5: conversation is now over with that individual because they're gone,
- 18:46Speaker 5: and you let the family grieve, you let the friends grieve,
- 18:49Speaker 5: you let everybody have human emotions about something, and you
- 18:52Speaker 5: move on to the next political argument with the next
- 18:55Speaker 5: person who's alive in this country, and don't do this.
- 18:59Speaker 5: And actually, you know what, I love that you said
- 19:02Speaker 5: that a second ago, that it's really the Democrats that
- 19:04Speaker 5: do this and not the Republicans, because it's kind of
- 19:06Speaker 5: a perfect segue to the three minute Lindsay Graham piece
- 19:10Speaker 5: of audio where he just torches all the Democrats and
- 19:13Speaker 5: how they were treating Brett Kavanaugh. So I can play that,
- 19:16Speaker 5: but before I do, I want to give you a
- 19:17Speaker 5: chance to say anything else. I don't know if you
- 19:18Speaker 5: had anything else you want to say when you call
- 19:20Speaker 5: it in today, Jimmy.
- 19:22Speaker 1: No, No, I wanted to talk about this. But they
- 19:27Speaker 1: have so demonized anyone with an R or a conservative yes,
- 19:32Speaker 1: or a traditional value person or nuclear family person. They
- 19:37Speaker 1: have demonized this because they are so powerful. Yeah, okay,
- 19:43Speaker 1: and so be aware, no, and so aware would you
- 19:46Speaker 1: be or where would you see?
- 19:48Speaker 2: Man?
- 19:48Speaker 5: And so intent to divide us. They call someone who
- 19:51Speaker 5: stays at home as a mom a trad wife now,
- 19:53Speaker 5: and that's an insult a traditional wife. And it makes
- 19:56Speaker 5: no sense to me. It's surreal to like, you make
- 19:59Speaker 5: fun of mom for being at home. We used to
- 20:01Speaker 5: not do that. Why are we doing that now? But
- 20:03Speaker 5: there's somebody and you were so right and saying it, Jimmy,
- 20:05Speaker 5: that the intention is to divide us, to make us
- 20:08Speaker 5: angry at each other, and then to upend our entire system.
- 20:14Speaker 1: You got it, man. So, so is that producer Lucas?
- 20:18Speaker 5: Yeah, Lucas is over there, he's sitting there, he's doing
- 20:20Speaker 5: the show. What do you want to say to him?
- 20:23Speaker 1: Just hopefully you know, because I called in. He said,
- 20:26Speaker 1: what do you want to talk about? I'm like, I
- 20:27Speaker 1: don't know, man, life liberty to do that? Yeah, I
- 20:31Speaker 1: just want to shoot the prieset with crass.
- 20:32Speaker 5: Yeah, I'll let Lucas know that, and I'll even tell
- 20:34Speaker 5: him that on the air. When Jimmy calls in, it
- 20:36Speaker 5: doesn't matter. Just put him on hold. He'll get on
- 20:38Speaker 5: the air, we'll talk about stuff. He'll be fine. I'm
- 20:41Speaker 5: not watching any soccer otherwise. I ask you what you
- 20:43Speaker 5: think of soccer. It's on in my house. My wife
- 20:45Speaker 5: wants to know who wins. I don't care until a
- 20:49Speaker 5: few years from now.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Two things, brother, just two things. Please don't let please
- 20:54Speaker 1: friends that we don't need the friends to win.
- 20:57Speaker 2: We just don't.
- 20:59Speaker 1: And there's no way that England can come on to
- 21:05Speaker 1: American soil in our year two fifty. Yeah, wind, Yeah,
- 21:10Speaker 1: that's happened.
- 21:11Speaker 5: Yeah, I agree with that.
- 21:12Speaker 1: All I'm saying is gim me Argentina in Spain in
- 21:15Speaker 1: the final.
- 21:16Speaker 5: Hey, I'm fine with them. Fantastic, buddy, Thank you so
- 21:18Speaker 5: much for the calling. Take care that is Jimmy X's
- 21:22Speaker 5: caller and at sometimes even co host of the show. Occasionally.
- 21:26Speaker 5: All right, without further ado, since he teed it up
- 21:29Speaker 5: so perfectly, I will play the audio of Lindsay Graham
- 21:31Speaker 5: just torching the Democrats for being piles of you know
- 21:34Speaker 5: what and how they were treating Brett Kavanaugh. He was absolutely,
- 21:38Speaker 5: you know, beside himself with the way that that process went.
- 21:42Speaker 5: Brett Kavanaugh, of course, still became a Supreme Court justice.
- 21:45Speaker 5: So a lot of this was political theater at it
- 21:47Speaker 5: at its absolute worst. Clay and Buck played this audio,
- 21:51Speaker 5: Chris X played this. I think this audio is all
- 21:54Speaker 5: over the place, and to be honest, it makes sense.
- 21:56Speaker 5: This was Lindsay Graham at his absolute freaking best just
- 22:00Speaker 5: a few years ago.
- 22:01Speaker 8: If you wanted an FBI investigation, you could have come
- 22:04Speaker 8: to us. What you want to do is destroy this
- 22:07Speaker 8: guy's life. Hold this seat open, and hope you went
- 22:11Speaker 8: in twenty twenty.
- 22:12Speaker 5: You've said that, not me.
- 22:15Speaker 8: You've got nothing to apologize for. When you see Soda
- 22:19Speaker 8: Maron Kagan, tell him that Lindsay said, Oh, because I
- 22:23Speaker 8: voted for them, I would never do to them what
- 22:26Speaker 8: you've done to this guy.
- 22:27Speaker 5: This is the.
- 22:28Speaker 8: Most unethical sham since I've been in politics. And if
- 22:35Speaker 8: you really wanted to know the truth, you sure as
- 22:37Speaker 8: hell wouldn't have done what you've done to this guy.
- 22:40Speaker 8: Are you a gang rapist? No? I cannot imagine what
- 22:49Speaker 8: you and your family have gone through. Boy, y'all want power? God,
- 22:53Speaker 8: I hope you never get it. I hope the American
- 22:55Speaker 8: people can see through this sham, Amen, that you knew
- 22:58Speaker 8: about it and you held it. You had no intention
- 23:01Speaker 8: of protecting doctor Ford none. She's as much of a
- 23:05Speaker 8: victim as you are.
- 23:07Speaker 5: God.
- 23:08Speaker 8: I hate to say it because these have been my friends,
- 23:11Speaker 8: but let me tell you when it comes to this,
- 23:15Speaker 8: you're looking for a fair process. You came to the
- 23:18Speaker 8: wrong town at the wrong time. My friend, do you
- 23:22Speaker 8: consider this a job interview?
- 23:25Speaker 5: The advice and consent role is like a job.
- 23:27Speaker 8: You consider that you've been through a job interview.
- 23:31Speaker 1: I've been through a process of advice and consent under
- 23:34Speaker 1: the Constitution.
- 23:35Speaker 8: Would you say you've been through hell?
- 23:37Speaker 5: I've been through hell and then some. This is not
- 23:41Speaker 5: a job interview. This is hell.
- 23:45Speaker 8: This is going to destroy the ability of good people
- 23:50Speaker 8: to come forward because of this crap your high school
- 23:54Speaker 8: year book. You have interacted with professional women all your life,
- 24:00Speaker 8: no one accusation. You're supposed to be Bill Cosby when
- 24:04Speaker 8: you're a junior and senior in high school, and all
- 24:08Speaker 8: of a sudden you got over it.
- 24:10Speaker 1: It's been my understanding.
- 24:14Speaker 8: That if you drug women and rape them for two
- 24:16Speaker 8: years in high school, you probably don't stop. Here's my understanding.
- 24:22Speaker 8: If you lived a good life, people would recognize it,
- 24:27Speaker 8: like the American Bar Association has the gold standard. His
- 24:31Speaker 8: integrity is absolutely unquestioned. He is the very circumspect in
- 24:37Speaker 8: his personal conduct, harbors no biases or prejudices. He's entirely ethical,
- 24:43Speaker 8: is a really decent person. He is warm, friendly, unassuming.
- 24:47Speaker 8: He's the nicest person.
- 24:50Speaker 2: The ABA.
- 24:52Speaker 8: One thing I can tell you, you should be proud
- 24:54Speaker 8: of Ashley. You should be proud of this that you
- 24:58Speaker 8: raised a daughter who had the good character to pray
- 25:03Speaker 8: for doctor Ford. To my Republican colleagues, if you vote no,
- 25:09Speaker 8: you're legitimizing the most despicable thing I have seen in
- 25:13Speaker 8: my time in politics. You want this seat.
- 25:18Speaker 5: I hope you never get it. I love that. I
- 25:22Speaker 5: love all three minutes and twenty seconds of that entire
- 25:26Speaker 5: takedown of everything. That was a very ridiculous, very one sided,
- 25:32Speaker 5: very obvious to politicians, disingenuous process, because if they actually
- 25:38Speaker 5: wanted to hold someone accountable for things they thought he
- 25:41Speaker 5: actually did, there's a completely different way to do that,
- 25:44Speaker 5: and this isn't that way. As Lindsay was saying, this
- 25:46Speaker 5: is fantastic all right, well, take a break. A lot
- 25:49Speaker 5: to talk about. I do want to talk about iron again,
- 25:51Speaker 5: because it's certainly in the news. I do want to
- 25:54Speaker 5: talk about a couple other things out there in the
- 25:56Speaker 5: world of the President. He called the Iranian sleeves bags,
- 25:59Speaker 5: which is awesome. But before I do any of that,
- 26:01Speaker 5: I do also want to talk about daylight saving Time
- 26:04Speaker 5: and how likely it is that politicians might vote to
- 26:07Speaker 5: eventually finally end it, which would be awesome. I've got
- 26:11Speaker 5: an update on that. I got an update on a
- 26:12Speaker 5: lot of stuff coming up in just a bit.
- 26:14Speaker 4: The House is set to vote this week on the
- 26:16Speaker 4: Sunshine Protection Act, making daylight saving time permanent. It will
- 26:21Speaker 4: past Firehouse Committee in May, and what allows states to
- 26:24Speaker 4: opt out. President Trump has pushed to get the legislation
- 26:27Speaker 4: passed into law, writing and may quote, this is so important,
- 26:31Speaker 4: and that hundreds of millions of dollars are spent every
- 26:33Speaker 4: year by people, cities, and states. It's time that people
- 26:36Speaker 4: can stop worrying about the clock.
- 26:39Speaker 5: Yeah, it's funny, is that a little bit of music
- 26:42Speaker 5: that they play, All the weird music they play. I
- 26:44Speaker 5: think part of the reason they do what they do
- 26:46Speaker 5: is certain licensing stuff. But anyway, that's Fox News. This
- 26:50Speaker 5: is Craig Collins KSV, the Voice of Texas, thrilled to
- 26:54Speaker 5: be with you seven hundred am on this radio station
- 26:57Speaker 5: today and every day Monday through Friday. And President Trump
- 27:01Speaker 5: is right about daylight saving time, that it should absolutely
- 27:04Speaker 5: be a thing that we do all the time. We
- 27:06Speaker 5: don't need to change the clocks anymore. And I like
- 27:08Speaker 5: when the sun is up longer. Actually, selfishly, I'll tell
- 27:11Speaker 5: you all the reason. We can all get in the
- 27:13Speaker 5: trust tree together and I'll tell you we have to
- 27:15Speaker 5: power down this radio station when the sun goes down
- 27:18Speaker 5: and the signal is even worse than some of the
- 27:21Speaker 5: issues we might have been having with the signal right now,
- 27:24Speaker 5: And I just got this time slot six to seven
- 27:26Speaker 5: o'clock during the summer. Great time to get it, because
- 27:29Speaker 5: the sun is up if you look outside right now,
- 27:31Speaker 5: still enough sun for us to not power down the
- 27:33Speaker 5: station yet when and if we leave, when Lucas and
- 27:36Speaker 5: I leave, we probably got to power this thing down.
- 27:38Speaker 5: If we go back to the other way, it's gonna
- 27:41Speaker 5: get powered down during my show, and I don't want that.
- 27:43Speaker 5: That's not okay. So this is very selfish in just
- 27:45Speaker 5: for me that I'd like to see this not happen.
- 27:47Speaker 5: That seems to make sense, right, Lucas. That's a good Okay, cool,
- 27:50Speaker 5: thank you for that. By the way, the Home Run
- 27:52Speaker 5: Derby is tonight. It's gonna happen in about twenty five minutes.
- 27:56Speaker 5: I won't be able to see all of it. I
- 27:58Speaker 5: do very much hope that Ben does quite well. He
- 28:01Speaker 5: is in New York, Yankee, and he's surprisingly good. No
- 28:05Speaker 5: one thought he was going to be this good last year.
- 28:07Speaker 5: He was good. This year, he's even better. He's one
- 28:10Speaker 5: of those guys that has no reason to be this
- 28:13Speaker 5: good at baseball, and yet he's been fandasic at it.
- 28:16Speaker 5: That usually doesn't bode well in the Home Run Derby.
- 28:18Speaker 5: And I will also say, before I get back to
- 28:20Speaker 5: the politics, out of all the All Star events that happened,
- 28:24Speaker 5: the Dunk Contest everything, I think the Home Run Derby
- 28:28Speaker 5: is still entertaining enough. The other ones have gotten boring.
- 28:30Speaker 5: The Dunk Contest uniquely so the best dunkers don't even
- 28:34Speaker 5: play in the NBA. They got to bring these guys
- 28:36Speaker 5: in from like the d League in order to have
- 28:38Speaker 5: it be more entertaining, and most of the dunks we've
- 28:41Speaker 5: seen them, unless somebody does something truly insane where they
- 28:44Speaker 5: can jump like another four feet in the air. I
- 28:46Speaker 5: think we've seen most of the dunks home runs. I
- 28:49Speaker 5: still enjoy that. So this is probably my favorite All
- 28:52Speaker 5: Star thing. That and the skills competition in the NHL.
- 28:56Speaker 5: But probably a lot of people don't watch hockey. So
- 28:58Speaker 5: it is what it is, and I have no idea
- 29:00Speaker 5: what soccer does. I'm going to assume it's terrible in
- 29:02Speaker 5: the world of an All Star thing. Anyway, let's play.
- 29:05Speaker 5: This does mean that was a shot. I'm sorry to
- 29:08Speaker 5: Jimmy X for taking it, but I took it, and
- 29:09Speaker 5: I don't feel bad about it. This is the President
- 29:11Speaker 5: of the United States talking about the Straight of Hormuz.
- 29:14Speaker 5: He said the US is gonna take it. I believe
- 29:17Speaker 5: at this point we do need to do this. I
- 29:21Speaker 5: know that people don't want to have boots on the ground,
- 29:23Speaker 5: and I'm not sure that the president is claiming that
- 29:25Speaker 5: that's gonna happen. A lot of experts would tell you
- 29:27Speaker 5: that to inevitably hold any sort of control over the
- 29:30Speaker 5: Strait of Hormuz and completely prevent Iran from, you know,
- 29:34Speaker 5: trying to fight back for it, you eventually need people
- 29:37Speaker 5: in that area securing that thing, but for now it'll
- 29:40Speaker 5: be a blockade. For now, it'll be ships that fight
- 29:42Speaker 5: off any of the attacks that happen. And President Trump
- 29:45Speaker 5: will even further saying that, hey, if we do this,
- 29:48Speaker 5: we're gonna want to get paid. We're gonna want a
- 29:50Speaker 5: little bit of cash for it. As a East Coast Italian,
- 29:53Speaker 5: I'm not upset with that at all. That's a fine thing.
- 29:55Speaker 5: He said. Twenty percent of the stuff that goes through
- 29:58Speaker 5: the straight UPRMOS go to the United States. We're gonna
- 30:01Speaker 5: get a little bit gish on the side. I'm worried about,
- 30:04Speaker 5: if I'm being honest and not sarcastic or silly about this,
- 30:07Speaker 5: I'm worried about the safety of our men and women
- 30:09Speaker 5: in our military who would be asked to protect the
- 30:12Speaker 5: strait of our moves and the people the ship's going
- 30:14Speaker 5: through it. I worry about that. Everybody worries about that.
- 30:18Speaker 5: But I think at this point, to really show Ron
- 30:21Speaker 5: that they have no cards to play, removing their ability
- 30:24Speaker 5: to try to exercise control over global oil prices through
- 30:29Speaker 5: one tiny little straight at one place in the world,
- 30:33Speaker 5: it's time. It's time to do this now that they're
- 30:36Speaker 5: completely not playing ball in any of the world of
- 30:39Speaker 5: what we were trying to do before. But here's the
- 30:41Speaker 5: president calling into Voxen who's talking about this.
- 30:43Speaker 9: So, mister President, Lindsa Graham was definitely on your side
- 30:48Speaker 9: when it comes to run and the threat them not
- 30:50Speaker 9: having a nuclear weapon. It looks like they're back at
- 30:53Speaker 9: their business, trying to take over the straight what's your response.
- 30:57Speaker 2: Well, we're taking over the strait. They have nothing, They've
- 31:00Speaker 2: gotten nothing, something that nobody knows. Yesterday they had an
- 31:04Speaker 2: eleven hour meeting. Everything's eleven hours with these guys. You know,
- 31:07Speaker 2: you can't settle a one sentence in one hour in
- 31:09Speaker 2: one minute. It should be one minute. And everything was
- 31:13Speaker 2: agreed to yesterday and they leave the room and they
- 31:20Speaker 2: called back and they said, we had to make a
- 31:22Speaker 2: couple of changes. As it changes, they're going to make changes.
- 31:26Speaker 2: We're going to make changes, always changes. They just, you know,
- 31:29Speaker 2: their professional negotiators. That's all they are. That's I don't
- 31:32Speaker 2: even call them good at it. They haven't gotten anything.
- 31:34Speaker 2: That's got nothing from me. But if you look for
- 31:37Speaker 2: forty seven years, they'd been tapping people along presidents. Every
- 31:40Speaker 2: president got tapped along, didn't do anything, and they became
- 31:44Speaker 2: more and more powerful. They should have been done forty
- 31:46Speaker 2: seven years ago.
- 31:47Speaker 5: Should I agree with that? And actually most of the
- 31:51Speaker 5: world leaders, most of our country's leaders before President Trump,
- 31:55Speaker 5: would also say that. Of course, they don't think that. Now,
- 31:57Speaker 5: now that Trump was the first person actually willingly to action,
- 32:00Speaker 5: they don't think the same thing.
- 32:02Speaker 2: Do.
- 32:02Speaker 5: I wish in retrospect that there had been a better
- 32:06Speaker 5: way to go about the beginning stages of this fight,
- 32:08Speaker 5: to shorten the duration of it and accept some of
- 32:12Speaker 5: the realities of negotiating with Iran sooner. I do, but
- 32:16Speaker 5: I don't necessarily blame the president for that or blame
- 32:19Speaker 5: this administration for that, because you would think that completely
- 32:23Speaker 5: removing the people at the top of the pyramid a
- 32:27Speaker 5: couple times would get you that version of all right,
- 32:30Speaker 5: we relent, we give in, we'll do some of the
- 32:32Speaker 5: things you need us to do. And I think the
- 32:35Speaker 5: other thing. I've said a lot about this topic, and
- 32:37Speaker 5: people might very well be done with it at this point.
- 32:40Speaker 5: But if they're doing this as far as exerting control
- 32:43Speaker 5: over the world through the strait of Hormus, what would
- 32:46Speaker 5: they do with a nuclear weapon? They can't have one.
- 32:49Speaker 5: They've shown the world again that they can't have one.
- 32:52Speaker 5: So however close they got to one, to some of us,
- 32:54Speaker 5: it was pretty close. And certainly whatever the Obama deal
- 32:58Speaker 5: was that said don't get a weapon, they didn't care.
- 33:00Speaker 5: They weren't following that, so something had to be done.
- 33:03Speaker 5: I did also think this was interesting. The President was
- 33:05Speaker 5: talking to Hugh Hewitt about the the MoU that definitely
- 33:10Speaker 5: got attacked by a lot of people in the world
- 33:12Speaker 5: of politics, and he made an interesting statement about what
- 33:15Speaker 5: to him the mo OU was.
- 33:18Speaker 6: It was built a test.
- 33:19Speaker 2: It was a test. We didn't know.
- 33:21Speaker 6: It didn't look memorandum of understanding with When you're dealing
- 33:25Speaker 6: with sleeves, bags don't mean much, and they don't mean
- 33:29Speaker 6: much when you're dealing with honorable people too. Because it's
- 33:31Speaker 6: a memorandum of understanding, it doesn't mean much. And I said,
- 33:35Speaker 6: why are we even you know, it's a standard tactic
- 33:37Speaker 6: in the US that you go to a memorandum of
- 33:40Speaker 6: understanding and then you go to the deal.
- 33:42Speaker 2: I said, just go to the deal first.
- 33:44Speaker 6: But you know what, it was sort of a test,
- 33:46Speaker 6: and they weren't there.
- 33:47Speaker 2: They didn't honor the test. We had it.
- 33:49Speaker 6: We had this deal settled numerous times I said, watch,
- 33:52Speaker 6: I guarantee watch, and they never.
- 33:55Speaker 2: They never followed it.
- 33:56Speaker 5: They a bunch of it was a test and they failed.
- 33:59Speaker 5: It is what essentially he said. And it sounds to
- 34:01Speaker 5: be true that they did. And I will be honest
- 34:03Speaker 5: that when you look back at some of the ridiculous
- 34:06Speaker 5: amounts of discussions about the MoU many many people who
- 34:09Speaker 5: trashed it also behaved like it was actually the deal,
- 34:13Speaker 5: and it wasn't. It was the beginning stages of what
- 34:15Speaker 5: was inevitably supposed to be an actual deal that seems
- 34:19Speaker 5: to never have gotten made. I know that they're still negotiating.
- 34:22Speaker 5: President Trump did say that even as he's going back
- 34:25Speaker 5: to fighting, and I think we're striking Iran over the
- 34:28Speaker 5: last couple hours. I think we have. So that's not new.
- 34:32Speaker 5: There's nothing new about that. And at some point this
- 34:36Speaker 5: enemy of ours, and they are an enemy, and they've
- 34:38Speaker 5: declared war on us long before we were fighting them.
- 34:41Speaker 5: But this enemy of ours has to understand they have
- 34:45Speaker 5: no path forward, and we're not going to relent just
- 34:47Speaker 5: because of politics or anything else. We are going to
- 34:50Speaker 5: see this mission through. And part of the reason you
- 34:52Speaker 5: see this mission through is to honor the lives of
- 34:55Speaker 5: those we've already lost. It actually reminded me a lot.
- 34:58Speaker 5: I was talking about this topic too another radio station
- 35:01Speaker 5: earlier today, and I thought about the veteran who called
- 35:04Speaker 5: this on Friday and told me that one of the
- 35:07Speaker 5: things that upset him the most about Afghanistan was how
- 35:10Speaker 5: the mission pivoted and it focused more on a rock,
- 35:12Speaker 5: It focused more on things that shouldn't have focused on,
- 35:15Speaker 5: and inevitably it made him feel upset, even though he
- 35:21Speaker 5: served and protected our country and was sent to Afghanistan
- 35:24Speaker 5: to fight terrorism. And you don't know what to say
- 35:27Speaker 5: to somebody who tells you that, But I do know
- 35:29Speaker 5: that right now we have lost military men and women
- 35:33Speaker 5: military men during this conflict. And the last thing I
- 35:36Speaker 5: want to do is see us just leave or just
- 35:38Speaker 5: stop fighting and just accept the fact that Aron's a
- 35:41Speaker 5: piece of crap on a world stage. We've gotten close
- 35:44Speaker 5: enough now to really force them to understand they can't
- 35:47Speaker 5: keep being a piece of crap. This is not the
- 35:49Speaker 5: time to relent, even if politically it's more valuable. And
- 35:53Speaker 5: I think it matters that people can understand that one
- 35:56Speaker 5: last thing. I'll play one last thing. We'll take one
- 35:58Speaker 5: more quick break, we'll come back, We'll do something more
- 36:00Speaker 5: lighthearted to get out of here, because you can't do
- 36:02Speaker 5: serious all day long. It is absolutely a belief of
- 36:06Speaker 5: this show that you can't do that the whole time.
- 36:08Speaker 5: But I did think this was interesting. This is certainly serious.
- 36:11Speaker 5: It was President Trump talking about the assassination attempt that
- 36:14Speaker 5: happened two years ago, July thirteenth of twenty twenty four,
- 36:17Speaker 5: two years ago to this day, someone came ridiculously close
- 36:23Speaker 5: to killing the now current but then candidate for the
- 36:26Speaker 5: office of President of the United States in our country.
- 36:28Speaker 5: Obviously not something we've seen in a while as far
- 36:31Speaker 5: as someone being assassinated at that level of political value
- 36:35Speaker 5: in our society. But even more specifically, the thing that
- 36:40Speaker 5: shocks me the most is the way Trump talks about
- 36:42Speaker 5: it now and the things he said about his sons,
- 36:45Speaker 5: and just how incredible it is that he's alive. To
- 36:48Speaker 5: be honest, secret service failed to be honest, A lot
- 36:51Speaker 5: of people failed, local law enforcement failed that day. A
- 36:55Speaker 5: ton of people a deserve blame. And if President Trump
- 36:58Speaker 5: didn't move his head, he's not a lot. And there's
- 37:00Speaker 5: something ridiculous. I don't know if that's even the right
- 37:03Speaker 5: word in thinking about that, because it's miraculous that he's
- 37:08Speaker 5: still here and in fact the president here we go here.
- 37:11Speaker 4: Since the assassination attempt to take President Trump's life at
- 37:15Speaker 4: a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, killing firefighter Corey Comparator and
- 37:19Speaker 4: injuring others in the crossfire.
- 37:23Speaker 1: I want to really see something that said, take a look.
- 37:25Speaker 2: At what happened.
- 37:26Speaker 5: Hold on, I shouldn't even know. We don't need to
- 37:28Speaker 5: play that part of the audio because that's actually the
- 37:30Speaker 5: shot at Zelvie. You can't see it. You just see Trump,
- 37:33Speaker 5: you know, kind of being missed. But there's also audio
- 37:35Speaker 5: of President Trump talking about this the anniversary of the
- 37:39Speaker 5: attempted assassination, and I just thought it was amazing. In
- 37:43Speaker 5: the audio, he's basically saying that his sons are the
- 37:47Speaker 5: ones that told him that it's amazing that he's alive.
- 37:50Speaker 5: He told a story about how his son said that
- 37:54Speaker 5: since they're both hunters, the aspect of the gun, the location,
- 37:59Speaker 5: all of it, essentially to President Trump was the shot
- 38:03Speaker 5: is ninety nine out of one hundred times successful, and
- 38:06Speaker 5: thank god it wasn't in this case, because the president
- 38:10Speaker 5: in fact as I said, it's still love. You know,
- 38:12Speaker 5: we'll find that audio. We'll play it after the break.
- 38:13Speaker 5: So we'll take a break. First, we'll play President Trump
- 38:16Speaker 5: talking about sort of the way that he talks about
- 38:19Speaker 5: a lot of things, almost being killed a couple of
- 38:21Speaker 5: years ago, and then we'll have some fun. We'll transition
- 38:24Speaker 5: from that somehow to something that's definitely much more lighthearted
- 38:27Speaker 5: in just a bit. This is the Craig Collins show KSV.
- 38:30Speaker 2: Radio, Crazy People and Bad People. And he was a
- 38:34Speaker 2: very strange cookie this way, very very academically smart, but
- 38:39Speaker 2: very disturbed. He is a very disturbed person. But academically
- 38:43Speaker 2: his boards he had almost perfect boards. He was a
- 38:46Speaker 2: great student. But he was a person who was very tormented.
- 38:50Speaker 2: He was a tormented person. And they should have had
- 38:54Speaker 2: somebody at that point, you know, I mean, this is
- 38:56Speaker 2: now history, we're talking about it, I guess, but they
- 38:59Speaker 2: should add somebody at the standing on that building or
- 39:02Speaker 2: at that building or watching that building.
- 39:04Speaker 5: They should have, yes.
- 39:05Speaker 2: But with that being said, after that, I mean, I
- 39:07Speaker 2: got lucky. God was watching this one Ainsley. God was
- 39:11Speaker 2: watching because you know my son Don and yeah.
- 39:14Speaker 5: Hey, he goes on to talk about his kids and
- 39:16Speaker 5: how they said that his hunters at that location with
- 39:19Speaker 5: that type of gun, the odds of success are incredibly,
- 39:22Speaker 5: incredibly high. And if President Trump doesn't turn his head,
- 39:25Speaker 5: he's not with us. And there's something ridiculous, something crazy
- 39:29Speaker 5: to me about the way that the President talks about it.
- 39:32Speaker 5: I'm like, yeah, you know, he's an odd guy, a
- 39:34Speaker 5: weird guy, a deranged lunatic of a guy who also
- 39:37Speaker 5: was a good student, which says even more to terrify
- 39:41Speaker 5: us about the insanity or the way in which some
- 39:44Speaker 5: are brainwashed to be horrible, terrible pieces of you know
- 39:47Speaker 5: what in our society. That was one of them. Luckily
- 39:50Speaker 5: the president was not killed. And how horrible to think
- 39:54Speaker 5: about the idea that people would have even celebrated that
- 39:57Speaker 5: no matter who you are, no matter what you think,
- 39:59Speaker 5: I don't care who a, I don't care what you think.
- 40:01Speaker 5: I don't want you to be killed, and I don't
- 40:03Speaker 5: want you to die, and I don't need to win
- 40:05Speaker 5: an argument with you by you not being alive. And
- 40:08Speaker 5: I just don't understand why that's so often is where
- 40:11Speaker 5: we are now, all right, let's transition to more fun stuff.
- 40:15Speaker 5: This is not gonna sound fun, but I think it
- 40:17Speaker 5: is I think there's a sneaky fun in this story.
- 40:20Speaker 5: You be the judge. We will see a grandfather got
- 40:23Speaker 5: thrown eight feet in the air by a bison. Doesn't
- 40:25Speaker 5: sound fun, right, No, no part of it does. He's
- 40:28Speaker 5: going to be okay. I think he got injured, but
- 40:30Speaker 5: he's going to be okay. And so here's the pivot
- 40:33Speaker 5: for me, and I have audio to play the guy
- 40:36Speaker 5: getting launched and people talking about it. I would want
- 40:39Speaker 5: this for me in this exact scenario. What I mean is,
- 40:43Speaker 5: I would want to survive an attack from a wild
- 40:45Speaker 5: animal because the story you tell for the rest of
- 40:48Speaker 5: your life would be incredible. I was working at a
- 40:51Speaker 5: veterinarian hospital in Indiana in high school and the guy
- 40:57Speaker 5: that was the vet there got attacked by a bear.
- 41:00Speaker 5: He went camping with his family. A bear attacked him
- 41:03Speaker 5: and the guy survived it. He said he used all
- 41:05Speaker 5: of his vet skills to like calm the bear down,
- 41:08Speaker 5: and the guy got beat up, Like he survived and
- 41:10Speaker 5: I think he recovered, but his eye was all screwed
- 41:13Speaker 5: up when I met him, when I saw him that
- 41:15Speaker 5: next day at work, And I can't tell you it's
- 41:18Speaker 5: the stupidest thing, Like no part of this is wise.
- 41:20Speaker 5: I'm being very sarcastic because I say this, but part
- 41:23Speaker 5: of me was so amazed because like, he didn't seem
- 41:26Speaker 5: like a tough dude, and he fought a bear, and
- 41:29Speaker 5: he won in a fight against a bear for him
- 41:31Speaker 5: and his family, and so he gets all the man cards,
- 41:34Speaker 5: all the drinks at the bar for the rest of
- 41:36Speaker 5: his life, Like that's incredible. And so again this grandfather,
- 41:40Speaker 5: who probably distracted the bison so that it didn't hurt
- 41:44Speaker 5: anybody else, winds up getting thrown in the air, winds
- 41:47Speaker 5: up landing. People said again that you know he's gonna recover,
- 41:51Speaker 5: but he has a broken leg and he had undergo
- 41:53Speaker 5: a surgery, but talk about how bad you know what
- 41:55Speaker 5: that is like seriously to me? And so I say
- 41:59Speaker 5: this in a way where I know my wife has
- 42:00Speaker 5: already texted me and probably my mother too, saying that
- 42:04Speaker 5: you do not need to be attacked by wild animal.
- 42:06Speaker 5: That's probably not the road they want to go. But
- 42:10Speaker 5: the story, man, Lucas, can you understand any part of
- 42:13Speaker 5: the design, and I want all the aspects. I don't
- 42:16Speaker 5: want to take the risk where me versus wild animal
- 42:18Speaker 5: could end with me being dead. I want me versust
- 42:21Speaker 5: wild animal where I know I'm going to survive. Those
- 42:24Speaker 5: are the people I'm envious of. These stories. Do you
- 42:27Speaker 5: understand it?
- 42:27Speaker 2: Or no?
- 42:28Speaker 5: Oh I get it? Yeah, no, make good stories.
- 42:31Speaker 7: They do.
- 42:31Speaker 5: It is and surviving a bear attack like the rest
- 42:34Speaker 5: of my life. I'm set up, man. I share that story.
- 42:37Speaker 5: At some point at a bar, if I have like
- 42:39Speaker 5: one scar under my side or something, I assume I
- 42:42Speaker 5: get drinks. I assume everybody there just starts buying me beverages.
- 42:46Speaker 5: And in this case with this grandpa, he protected his family,
- 42:49Speaker 5: so like, I'll buy that guy a drink if I
- 42:51Speaker 5: saw him at a bar. That's how easy this is.
- 42:53Speaker 5: It's really just me getting free stuff, I think, is
- 42:55Speaker 5: what I'm talking about. One of the best parts. I
- 43:00Speaker 5: also would do, like the interview shows. I think that'd
- 43:02Speaker 5: be on the shows, although maybe not if they found
- 43:04Speaker 5: out my politics. Some of those interview shows would not
- 43:06Speaker 5: have me on other things out there that I saw
- 43:08Speaker 5: that I thought were interesting. Four ways to stop using
- 43:12Speaker 5: AI to ruin your brain. This is a story in
- 43:15Speaker 5: the Atlantic that came out the other day. Not always
- 43:17Speaker 5: a fan of the Atlantic, but anyway, they said that AI,
- 43:21Speaker 5: especially for young people and especially in school, is doing
- 43:24Speaker 5: too much of the work and it's not really helping
- 43:26Speaker 5: our brains function the way that they should. So we
- 43:29Speaker 5: should ask AI to do some of the work, but less.
- 43:32Speaker 5: The best way to do it is less. These were
- 43:34Speaker 5: the four tips let's see lucas. If you agree with these,
- 43:37Speaker 5: ask for hints, not answers. Maybe if you're looking for
- 43:41Speaker 5: some sort of answer on a test, don't go to
- 43:43Speaker 5: AI and just punching the question and pump out the answer.
- 43:47Speaker 5: If you're struggling, ask them to get you further and
- 43:49Speaker 5: further there at least you're learning along the way. Do
- 43:52Speaker 5: we think this is a good one? Yes?
- 43:54Speaker 2: Or no?
- 43:54Speaker 5: It's good but probably not going to happen. Yeah, No,
- 43:56Speaker 5: know it's not. Yeah, because if you're sitting there in
- 43:58Speaker 5: front of the machine and it can tell you the
- 43:59Speaker 5: whole thing, just go for the whole thing. Start with
- 44:01Speaker 5: a blank page is something else that it says, I
- 44:04Speaker 5: write up your own analysis and conclusion, then go to AI,
- 44:08Speaker 5: essentially meaning that AI doesn't get the blank page, but
- 44:10Speaker 5: you do. You don't go to them to begin it.
- 44:13Speaker 5: Rotate tasks is another one that it's said, where sometimes
- 44:16Speaker 5: you have AI do some stuff for you other times
- 44:19Speaker 5: you do it yourself, and then finally make a sharp
- 44:21Speaker 5: distinction between a certain work and other types of work.
- 44:26Speaker 5: In this it says wrote and creative versions of work.
- 44:29Speaker 5: But a lot of different things I think fall into
- 44:31Speaker 5: play here where you need to realize that at some point,
- 44:34Speaker 5: especially as a student in school, you need to exercise
- 44:37Speaker 5: the brain muscles or you're not really going to have them.
- 44:39Speaker 5: I think that those are pretty good tips. I would say, yeah, no, yeah,
- 44:44Speaker 5: they're good, but they were tips given by a fellow adult,
- 44:48Speaker 5: not a kid. They were true, yeah, I know, and
- 44:50Speaker 5: they're not going to be followed by anybody because honestly,
- 44:52Speaker 5: if you're sitting in the classroom and you know that
- 44:54Speaker 5: the answers. Even though actually I'll say this because I've
- 44:57Speaker 5: been messing with AI, I was doing it a little
- 44:59Speaker 5: bit this weekend. Make some things for social media stuff.
- 45:02Speaker 5: There's a new banner in the bottom corner. Lucas made
- 45:04Speaker 5: a really cool banner, and I was like, I don't know,
- 45:07Speaker 5: let me try to make one, and so I did.
- 45:09Speaker 5: Mine doesn't have some things in it that we needed
- 45:12Speaker 5: to remove from yours. I got to tell you about
- 45:14Speaker 5: that after the show. I just realized it yes, but
- 45:17Speaker 5: you can judge it if you want. But anyway, as
- 45:19Speaker 5: I was doing this, my favorite part of the reason
- 45:21Speaker 5: this is relevant to this topic is AI would just
- 45:23Speaker 5: pump out complete nonsense. One of the times I was like, hey,
- 45:26Speaker 5: make me a banner for something that says KSEV radio
- 45:30Speaker 5: and it said that our radio station was one oh
- 45:32Speaker 5: three point two FM, and I was like, that's not
- 45:35Speaker 5: no part of that's right, artificial intelligence. Why do you
- 45:38Speaker 5: think that? And I don't know why ITTT thinks that,
- 45:41Speaker 5: but it does. And they say that about a lot
- 45:43Speaker 5: of the answers to tests is that if artificial intelligence
- 45:46Speaker 5: doesn't know it, it'll make it up. And then if
- 45:48Speaker 5: you turn in something at some point the teacher will
- 45:51Speaker 5: be reading it and being like johnfk John F. Kennedy
- 45:53Speaker 5: Junior never did this. This is not a thing that
- 45:56Speaker 5: ever happened, because a I'll just fill in some gaps
- 45:58Speaker 5: in ways that it shouldn't, which I loved a lot.
- 46:01Speaker 5: But yeah, one three point five FM or something like that,
- 46:04Speaker 5: not in fact our radio station, even though I wouldn't
- 46:07Speaker 5: hate us being on an FM. I'm just putting that
- 46:09Speaker 5: out there. Saying it into the world maybe makes it
- 46:11Speaker 5: the thing I don't know one other story that I
- 46:14Speaker 5: liked that I thought was interesting as far as just
- 46:16Speaker 5: stuff out there that's not serious. We call this the
- 46:19Speaker 5: Quick four ish. We rip it off of the Dana Show.
- 46:22Speaker 5: Oh and by the way, scheduling thing, Lucas will be
- 46:25Speaker 5: here a lot over the next couple weeks because I
- 46:27Speaker 5: will be filling in for Dana Lash for seven days.
- 46:29Speaker 5: I will be doing seven straight shows. She's going on
- 46:32Speaker 5: vacation starting next week Monday, and then she'll be on
- 46:35Speaker 5: vacation until that following week Wednesday, I think. And they
- 46:38Speaker 5: gave me all of them, which is awesome. So I
- 46:41Speaker 5: will be in for Dana Lash for seven straight shows.
- 46:44Speaker 5: I don't know why the fancy giant radio station and
- 46:47Speaker 5: radio group that is Dana Lash trust me as much
- 46:50Speaker 5: as they do, but I'm thrilled they do, and I
- 46:53Speaker 5: was thrilled to say yes to it. And I'm glad
- 46:54Speaker 5: that people like Lucas work here to help cover things
- 46:57Speaker 5: at the station, so I can do that. But you'll
- 46:59Speaker 5: hear me from two to four o'clock starting next week
- 47:02Speaker 5: for seven straight days on Dana Lash, the show we
- 47:05Speaker 5: just started carrying a little bit ago. But she does
- 47:09Speaker 5: the segment, so I do it too. I call it
- 47:11Speaker 5: the quick four ish as I said a second I
- 47:13Speaker 5: go to you. A grocery store started selling twelve dollars
- 47:17Speaker 5: water and people were buying it, which is the worst
- 47:21Speaker 5: part of this story. They called it sacred water, even
- 47:24Speaker 5: though I think it was just organic jasmine tea and
- 47:28Speaker 5: botanical extracts or something that put It wasn't blasted water,
- 47:32Speaker 5: it wasn't that kind. But they were calling it sacred.
- 47:35Speaker 5: They said, if you drank it, it somehow made you better,
- 47:37Speaker 5: It somehow made you feel good. None of that was true,
- 47:40Speaker 5: And the problem is sort of us in this story.
- 47:43Speaker 5: I would say, because we can't buy the twelve dollars
- 47:45Speaker 5: water or someone is going to be too tempted to
- 47:48Speaker 5: sell it to us. I was bragging about this somewhere
- 47:51Speaker 5: else today. I no longer buy stuff at Starbucks. I don't.
- 47:54Speaker 5: The missus still does. I don't. I feel very good
- 47:57Speaker 5: about that. It's a weird humble brag tapping myself in
- 48:00Speaker 5: the back, but I don't do it anymore because I
- 48:03Speaker 5: know that I can go home and have all the
- 48:05Speaker 5: caffeine in my house for less money. And I don't
- 48:08Speaker 5: blame Betty. I actually push her to get stuff from Starbucks,
- 48:11Speaker 5: because I think she deserves the reward. She works very hard,
- 48:14Speaker 5: she does a lot of things in the house that
- 48:16Speaker 5: I don't do. She's definitely more deserving than me. But
- 48:19Speaker 5: I can go home and I can just put caffeine
- 48:21Speaker 5: in my face that I paid far less money for.
- 48:23Speaker 5: And this seems like a great, valuable, valuable solution, And
- 48:27Speaker 5: so I'm no longer a sucker getting charged twelve dollars
- 48:31Speaker 5: for the caffeine I get for less than half of
- 48:33Speaker 5: that price in my own home. We got to fix
- 48:37Speaker 5: it as a society. This I feel like it turned
- 48:39Speaker 5: into a Dave Ramsey show all right at the end here,
- 48:41Speaker 5: But you gotta pull back the spending in some ways
- 48:45Speaker 5: in order to finally get control of things. And I've
- 48:47Speaker 5: just been very proud of myself and so I'm sharing
- 48:50Speaker 5: it here with you at my ability to do this.
- 48:52Speaker 5: And probably my wife is now embowersed that I said
- 48:55Speaker 5: that she still gets these things, but again it's really
- 48:57Speaker 5: my fault. But she always says like, no, don't get
- 49:00Speaker 5: anything for either of us. And I'm like, now, Betty,
- 49:02Speaker 5: I want you to enjoy it, and I'll just sit there.
- 49:04Speaker 5: I sat next to you the whole time. I'm kidding,
- 49:07Speaker 5: that's not true. That's it. I'm out of here. That's
- 49:09Speaker 5: the end of the show for today. Thrilled to be
- 49:11Speaker 5: with you as always on KSV seven hundred AM not
- 49:15Speaker 5: an FM station, even if AI thinks we are one.
- 49:19Speaker 5: Back with you tomorrow on this station and this show,
- 49:22Speaker 5: and back with you all week here thrilled to be here.
- 49:25Speaker 5: All of our hosts are back. So Chris Salcedo is
- 49:27Speaker 5: back in the morning. You got Chris X in the afternoon,
- 49:30Speaker 5: and then me and the amigos of course come up
- 49:32Speaker 5: on Friday. Talk to you guys tomorrow KSV seven hundred
