- The Lets Play Podcast: Hello and welcome back to the Let's Play podcast. My name's Tyler, and I'm bringing you guys the audio version of Baldur's Gate 3. ⁓ last time we were here, we were on our way to go kill the owl bear, and we had killed the goblins underneath the grove. So for this episode, we're gonna see what's going on with this with the Owlbear. And let's decide if we're gonna kill it or not. Alright, gang, let's ⁓ head on in. So we kinda got like this dope cave kinda area. ⁓ looks like we got two paths to left side that leads to some type of shrine statue ish thing, and then on the right side, ⁓ looks like some owl bear tracks on the ground and also some here. We do got a pickaxe on the ground and a dead goblin and a heavy stone, but I don't think that's that we need Dead owlbear prey no doubt. ⁓ jeez, alrighty then. Well then, alright, well let's go on in. We got the two guys over here and we kinda got like a beautiful waterfall just coming down on some slag tides or slagmites. I'm not really sure the proper term for them. For this, but ⁓ yeah, what's what's gonna up here and let's see what the fuck is going on. ⁓ man. This owl bear is big, let me tell ya. She is huge. Wow, my guy's just like really getting up here. You feel the quake. An owl bear. Its beaked face looming out of the darkness. Alright, so we got animal handle handling, which is study the owl bear's behavior, survival, back away, and performance, puff hide your chest and roar. Let's do ⁓ animal handling. So we got a beat of 15, we got a plus one, plus a 1d4 from Shadow Heart. Let's see. So we got the money. I rolled it to. This is not going to go well. She's gonna be pissed. Okay, so we have a plus one from wisdom, a plus two from survival proficiency. So all we gotta do is roll a 15 here. We're trying to back away. We're trying to get the fuck out of here. All you do is miss. The first episode, we loved you. And now this is why you're getting fucking replaced. Ooh, alright, this lady tries to run from Dark Urge and I get an opportunity to attack and I do. And I hit for five and then she casts whole person on me and I die. Or will not die, I'm stuck. Alright, it is Karlak's turn. She's coming in. Alright, so we're gonna do prepare, which gives an additional three ⁓ slashing damage. And then we're gonna do frenzied strike. And we're gonna attack the little dwarf person with 13 health. And that's eleven damage. So I do get another attack. So we are going to just do a normal attack on the person. And that's a mess it asked if I wanna do a reckless attack, but I did not. It is going to be Starion's turn. He's going to hit for 65, and that's a hit. That person is now down. End turn. It is this person's turn. He's going to attack Starian's again. Harlack does get an opportunity attack, and that's a nine. He does go to attack Shadow Heart and misses. So that is all good news around. So we are going to heal the Starian again. Healing him. Bringing him back from the dead. Healing his soul. And then we're gonna hit this guy with the 50% chance with our axe, and it was a four. So that is a suc is a succeed. We'll end our turn. It is going to be this traitor. She casts hold person on me again. And continue. It is now Karlak's turn. Karlak is gonna come up and tack from the rear for the 55% chance and hits for a nine. And then we're gonna do a frenzied strike right after it as well. Reckless attack, misses. Alright, it is Astarian's turn. He's going to attack with his blade. That's a 70% chance hit, and that's two damage. It's his turn. ⁓ my goodness, he tries to attack Astarian again, misses hits for 18, knocking him unconscious. Once again. We are going to cast Healing Word with Shadow Heart. Healing him. Thank you very much. And then we are going to cast aid on the whole group. Everyone healed by five. And ⁓ I think that's all I can do. It is the traitor's turn. She runs back in the room and thro fires a fucking acid arrow at me for nine fucking damage. So Karlack going to a hit with the 50% chance. Misses. God damn it. Frenzied strike, 50%. Seventeen percent. He is d d- d down in death. Ready. Alright, we're gonna bring Shadow Heart in. I'm not really sure what I see. I'm looking down the pathway and there's this like kind of just like a jump area and looks like maybe some spiders, but there is a fuck ton of oil things here.
