- 0:00Speaker 1: Walk-in shower from UKBN. How sad is that? I mean,
- 0:03Speaker 1: I try and I try. Of course, he actually goes
- 0:06Speaker 1: to those No Kings rally. I mean, that's how crazy
- 0:09Speaker 1: he can be. Sounds like he's making some good sloppy shows.
- 0:12Speaker 1: He's a decent guy, but oh, he's so confused. So confused.
- 0:18Speaker 1: So confused. You're on the air.
- 0:21Speaker 2: You know what, Ron? I still can't figure you out
- 0:23Speaker 2: after 28 or 30 years.
- 0:26Speaker 3: How come you.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Give a guy like that all that time on the radio,
- 0:30Speaker 2: and he is so... I can't even say it, okay?
- 0:35Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, I talked about his sloppy joes, and
- 0:37Speaker 2: then he starts vomiting all over Trump and this plan
- 0:41Speaker 2: of making America great again. And by the way, mega
- 0:43Speaker 2: means make America great. He doesn't want that? He doesn't
- 0:47Speaker 2: like that word? That doesn't make any sense. So, by
- 0:51Speaker 2: the way, massive election integrity violation up in Alaska.
- 0:55Speaker 4: So.
- 0:56Speaker 2: That's going to spin off and just travel all over
- 0:58Speaker 2: the United States.
- 0:59Speaker 1: I mean, think of how evil that is. Talk about
- 1:03Speaker 1: stooping to anything to try to win. Let's confuse the voters.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Let's go out and find another guy with the same
- 1:09Speaker 1: name as the incumbent to try to split the votes
- 1:12Speaker 1: so that we can get our Democrat to win. Think
- 1:16Speaker 1: of how.
- 1:17Speaker 5: And.
- 1:17Speaker 2: They're wondering if it isn't illegal. It's unethical for sure,
- 1:21Speaker 2: but damn it. The Supreme Court, the governor was just
- 1:25Speaker 2: talking about how he didn't want him to put on
- 1:28Speaker 2: the ballot, and the Supreme Court says, oh, yeah, sure,
- 1:30Speaker 2: because we're all Democrats. You know what I mean? This
- 1:33Speaker 2: is just the kind of crap we're dealing with. I mean,
- 1:36Speaker 2: it's a deep state trying to control everything.
- 1:39Speaker 3: I'm convinced. Why would you.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Go against the governor's recommendation of not putting him on
- 1:45Speaker 2: the ballot? because this guy never ran for politics, was
- 1:50Speaker 2: found out of 10 people. They looked for 10 people,
- 1:53Speaker 2: and they picked him because he said he hated Donald Trump.
- 1:57Speaker 2: So they picked him.
- 1:59Speaker 1: I really enjoy the guy, but he's so lost. And
- 2:04Speaker 1: I didn't want to hurt his feelings, but my wife's
- 2:06Speaker 1: sloppy joes are better than his anyway. I'm here to
- 2:08Speaker 1: tell you that.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Well, okay, Ron. That's not what I'm talking about. I'm
- 2:12Speaker 2: talking about major, major election integrity issues.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Well, you know, listen. He would be the first guy, Billy,
- 2:18Speaker 1: I can think of how evil and it's lower than
- 2:21Speaker 1: a pregnant snake's belly when they say, let's go out
- 2:24Speaker 1: and find another guy with the same name so that
- 2:26Speaker 1: we can put his name on the ballot to confuse
- 2:28Speaker 1: the voters so that we can have the Democrat win.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Instead of doing a legitimate election, this is unbelievable to me.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Oh, I've got a good one for you. Let's get
- 2:39Speaker 2: a program called Dominion and change the election results.
- 2:44Speaker 1: I'm not going back there. I'm just focusing on this
- 2:47Speaker 1: in Alaska. Let's just take a look at the shenanigans
- 2:51Speaker 1: that they're trying to pull to try to win an
- 2:53Speaker 1: election unethically because they don't want to go head-to-head on
- 2:57Speaker 1: that election. It is just... Unreal to me. And for
- 3:02Speaker 1: him to try to justify that is unbelievable. They went
- 3:04Speaker 1: out and recruited a guy with the same damn name
- 3:07Speaker 1: to try to pull it. Let's cut the vote so
- 3:10Speaker 1: that we can get our person to win and confuse
- 3:13Speaker 1: the voter. That's democracy. That's ridiculous. This is how evil
- 3:18Speaker 1: that party can be. You know, the party that tells you,
- 3:21Speaker 1: which I should have mentioned him, the party that tells
- 3:24Speaker 1: him because he's a white guy that he only accomplished
- 3:27Speaker 1: things in his life because of white privilege. And obviously,
- 3:30Speaker 1: because he's white, he's a white supremacist. I can't think
- 3:33Speaker 1: of a party more than the Democrat Party that has
- 3:36Speaker 1: insulted me under the Biden administration and continues to because
- 3:40Speaker 1: of my skin color.
- 3:42Speaker 6: That's racist.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Yes. Well, here's something for you. They showed the people
- 3:49Speaker 2: on the board that made that decision. One of them
- 3:53Speaker 2: was Adam Schitt, okay? So there you go.
- 3:56Speaker 1: He's a liar.
- 3:57Speaker 2: And a scoundrel. Okay, he's on the board. And the
- 4:02Speaker 2: rest of them are all like that. They're on the board.
- 4:07Speaker 1: And they're going to lecture me about the integrity of
- 4:09Speaker 1: elections when they're pulling these shenanigans. They will stoop to
- 4:12Speaker 1: anything to try to cook the system. That's right. They're
- 4:17Speaker 1: true colors. To quote, who sang that song? Your true
- 4:21Speaker 1: colors are coming through.
- 4:23Speaker 2: That's right. So remember all the people and Chuck Schumer
- 4:28Speaker 2: and all the rest of them. So when people are voting,
- 4:31Speaker 2: that's why you don't vote Democrat.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Exactly. Because they still buy into this craziness that that guy, oh,
- 4:39Speaker 1: I support a closed border. Should we get people out
- 4:42Speaker 1: of the country illegally? Well, I support that. Well, guess what?
- 4:44Speaker 1: The party you're voting for doesn't support any of that.
- 4:47Speaker 1: And the guy you're voting for, Sherrod Brown, doesn't.
- 4:49Speaker 2: The border was secured when, what, 25 million people came over?
- 4:53Speaker 6: Oh, that's secure.
- 4:54Speaker 2: And Kamala never even went down there.
- 4:56Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 4:56Speaker 3: She was a border guard.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Absolutely. Absolutely. At least at least us Republicans. Look, I
- 5:02Speaker 1: went to your church event and I don't even like
- 5:04Speaker 1: Lebanese food, but I went there anyway because we're a gathering,
- 5:07Speaker 1: loving people.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Right. That's right.
- 5:10Speaker 8: All right.
- 5:10Speaker 1: I'll be right back.
- 5:13Speaker 9: News Radio 570 WKVS.

- 5:43Speaker 10: 6-year-old sister and their mother. 28-year-old Ja'Shawn Gamble Sr. pleaded

- 6:38Speaker 13: See something we don't?

- 6:50Speaker 11: Now, Ron Verb on NewsRadio 570 WKBN.
- 6:55Speaker 1: I tell you, 335 NewsRadio 570 WKBN, 76 degrees on
- 7:01Speaker 1: a gorgeous-looking Thursday afternoon. And you're on the air.
- 7:06Speaker 3: Hi, Ron.
- 7:07Speaker 15: How you doing?
- 7:08Speaker 9: I got to ask.
- 7:09Speaker 16: You probably got a headache from that first caller.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Well, you know, I was just thinking, his liberal sloppy
- 7:14Speaker 1: joes sounded okay, but my wife's conservative sloppy joes are
- 7:18Speaker 1: even better. I got news for you.
- 7:20Speaker 16: I knew it was going to go south.
- 7:21Speaker 3: All right, listen.
- 7:22Speaker 16: First off, I don't want to bang on him, but
- 7:25Speaker 16: I will say this. When you asked him about the
- 7:28Speaker 16: tax paid for $ 44, 000, when it went from $ 32, 000 to $ 44, 000,
- 7:30Speaker 16: which is correct, I count it. It took four and
- 7:37Speaker 16: a half seconds for him to change the subject. But
- 7:40Speaker 16: in those four and a half seconds, he's probably thinking, uh-oh,
- 7:44Speaker 16: let me think. What am I going to say? I'm
- 7:45Speaker 16: going to change the subject. And that's what he did.
- 7:48Speaker 8: So.
- 7:49Speaker 16: Anyways, here's what's going to happen.
- 7:51Speaker 1: You know, they never want to talk about the open border.
- 7:53Speaker 1: They never want to talk about the millions of people
- 7:56Speaker 1: who weren't let in illegally and the billions at cost
- 8:00Speaker 1: or the opposition to the law enforcement trying to get
- 8:03Speaker 1: people out of your country that are even criminals here
- 8:06Speaker 1: that came here illegally, where they glorify the illegals and
- 8:10Speaker 1: vilify the criminals. police for doing their job. They never
- 8:14Speaker 1: want to talk about that. They don't want to talk
- 8:15Speaker 1: about all the waste that Musk found and corruption that
- 8:19Speaker 1: he found. They don't want to talk about Joe Biden
- 8:22Speaker 1: not running the country, that he wasn't sharp as a tack,
- 8:25Speaker 1: that they were lying to you about that. They don't
- 8:28Speaker 1: want to say anything about it. They don't want to
- 8:29Speaker 1: talk to you about the COVID cover-up and the nonsense
- 8:33Speaker 1: that they did there. It's unreal.
- 8:37Speaker 17: Here's what gets me, okay?
- 8:38Speaker 3: He lives in Florida. No, no, no.
- 8:40Speaker 1: That guy doesn't live in Florida. He lives in Youngstown.
- 8:43Speaker 16: That guy's in Youngstown?
- 8:45Speaker 1: Yes.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 8:47Speaker 16: I thought he also lived in Florida.
- 8:48Speaker 1: No, no, no. He lives in an old, large mansion
- 8:53Speaker 1: with plastic on the couch. If you go there, it's
- 8:56Speaker 1: like a snapshot back to 1955, but it's immaculate. It's beautiful.
- 9:02Speaker 1: It's one of those large, old mansions that you see
- 9:05Speaker 1: on Fifth Avenue, but it's beautiful. He wears a smoking
- 9:10Speaker 1: jacket during the day when he's walking around.
- 9:13Speaker 16: All right, let me talk to you now. Let's talk
- 9:16Speaker 16: about Tuesday coming up.
- 9:18Speaker 18: Just hearsay.
- 9:19Speaker 16: I want to talk and see what you think about this.
- 9:23Speaker 16: Just for hearsay, let's say they do take the House
- 9:27Speaker 16: and the Senate Tuesday, which I don't think they are.
- 9:30Speaker 16: I think we're going to win. I straight out think
- 9:35Speaker 16: we're going to win. What do you want to call
- 9:38Speaker 16: the states? Minnesota, Ohio, whatever they call those. Yeah, whatever.
- 9:44Speaker 1: But anyway.
- 9:45Speaker 19: All right.
- 9:46Speaker 16: Let's say they win.
- 9:48Speaker 3: All right.
- 9:49Speaker 16: In 2028, let's say they take the White House.
- 9:51Speaker 7: Yes.
- 9:51Speaker 16: Now, they've got the House, the Senate, and the White House.
- 9:54Speaker 16: I want to ask your opinion on it. What do
- 9:56Speaker 16: you think the first thing they're going to do.
- 9:58Speaker 7: If they do that?
- 10:00Speaker 16: What do you think the first thing they're going to do?
- 10:03Speaker 1: I'm going to tell you. I'm going to tell you.
- 10:04Speaker 1: They're going to go back right to their wacky-ass agenda
- 10:07Speaker 1: that they had before. Everything. They're going to go back
- 10:10Speaker 1: to saying, we're not hiring based on merit. It's going
- 10:13Speaker 1: to be based on your skin color. It's going to
- 10:15Speaker 1: be based, are you transgender? We're going to change We're
- 10:20Speaker 1: going to go right back to ripping down statues. We're
- 10:22Speaker 1: not going to call it Columbus Day. He was racist.
- 10:25Speaker 1: We're going to call it Indigenous People Day. We're going
- 10:27Speaker 1: to change the name of Fort Hood. We're going to
- 10:29Speaker 1: rip down statues of Lincoln and all that. We're going
- 10:32Speaker 1: to rip all that stuff down that they did. The
- 10:35Speaker 1: border isn't going to be secure, and we're going to
- 10:37Speaker 1: let more people come into your country illegally. And if
- 10:40Speaker 1: you're opposed to it, you're some type of a racist
- 10:42Speaker 1: if you believe in a border and securing your country illegally.
- 10:46Speaker 1: It makes you a racist. We're going to have more
- 10:48Speaker 1: government handouts. We're going to take more tax dollars and
- 10:51Speaker 1: just hand it out to every person that's too lazy
- 10:54Speaker 1: to get off their ass and get a job and
- 10:56Speaker 1: make a contribution in this society. Oh, by the way,
- 11:00Speaker 1: we're going to tell you that men can have babies.
- 11:03Speaker 1: And we're going to tell you that we can't define
- 11:06Speaker 1: what a woman is. We're going to go right back
- 11:08Speaker 1: to all of this. Oh, we've got to raise taxes
- 11:11Speaker 1: because nobody's paying their fair share. Oh, wait a minute.
- 11:13Speaker 1: We're going to go right back to if you're white,
- 11:15Speaker 1: you're a racist. And if you're white, you only got
- 11:18Speaker 1: anywhere because of white privilege. This is the Democrat Party.
- 11:22Speaker 16: We know they're going to do that. The four major
- 11:25Speaker 16: things I believe they're going to do. Number one, they're
- 11:28Speaker 16: going to get rid of the filibuster. That's the first
- 11:31Speaker 16: thing they're going to do.
- 11:32Speaker 15: I guarantee it.
- 11:32Speaker 16: Number two, they're going to stack the courts. They will
- 11:36Speaker 16: stack the court.
- 11:37Speaker 3: I really believe.
- 11:38Speaker 16: Number three, they're going to open the border. If they
- 11:41Speaker 16: don't do that, number one, we're off the get-go. But
- 11:43Speaker 16: they want to get rid of filibuster. They're going to
- 11:45Speaker 16: stack the court. And I'm going to tell you the
- 11:47Speaker 16: major thing they're going to do, and this is where
- 11:49Speaker 16: we're going to screw up, and this is where we're
- 11:51Speaker 16: going to be the.
- 11:51Speaker 3: End of them.
- 11:52Speaker 16: And I hope it don't happen, but they will do it.
- 11:55Speaker 16: They will come after our Second Amendment because they're going
- 11:57Speaker 16: to stack the court and the filibuster's gone. I will
- 12:01Speaker 16: guarantee you, and people, not all, but people say that
- 12:04Speaker 16: will never happen. I'm telling you, they're going to come
- 12:07Speaker 16: after our guns. They need our guns to complete the communism,
- 12:12Speaker 16: what they want to do. They can say communism, socialism,
- 12:15Speaker 16: socialism all they want. Everybody can say, some people say, oh,
- 12:19Speaker 16: there's going to be a good thing. But it will
- 12:21Speaker 16: never happen because we have our Second Amendment right. And
- 12:25Speaker 16: in order to take that Second Amendment, they're going to
- 12:28Speaker 16: have to stack the court. And if there's people out
- 12:31Speaker 16: there saying, oh, you're wrong, you don't know what you're
- 12:33Speaker 16: talking about, well, you know what? They better get in
- 12:35Speaker 16: their history books and they better read their history to
- 12:38Speaker 16: understand When you have guns, they cannot control the people.
- 12:44Speaker 16: When you take their guns away, you know what happened
- 12:47Speaker 16: during World War, before.
- 12:48Speaker 1: World War II. All you got to do is look
- 12:50Speaker 1: at these other countries. Well, look no further than Iran,
- 12:54Speaker 1: where people are saying, why don't the people stand up? Well,
- 12:56Speaker 1: because they don't have any guns. That's why they don't.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Because guess what? When they stand up, did you notice
- 13:01Speaker 1: what happens? When they stand up, they shoot about five
- 13:04Speaker 1: or six of them right between the eyes. And guess
- 13:07Speaker 1: what happens to the people standing up? They flee and
- 13:09Speaker 1: go away because they don't want to be the seventh
- 13:11Speaker 1: person shot between the eyes.
- 13:13Speaker 16: And real quick, before I get off the phone with you, Ron,
- 13:15Speaker 16: I'll let you go in a second.
- 13:17Speaker 20: Look at Brazil.
- 13:19Speaker 16: That's unbelievable what they did. Now, Trump brought that guy
- 13:23Speaker 16: and his family over here on a visa, and the
- 13:26Speaker 16: Democrats are screaming about it, screaming about it. They will
- 13:29Speaker 16: kill him. They will kill him and his family. They're
- 13:33Speaker 16: not going to put him in prison. They'll kill him.
- 13:35Speaker 19: And how about Cuba?
- 13:37Speaker 16: I forgot the guy's name that represents the United States.
- 13:40Speaker 16: The other day, I seen on the news yesterday morning
- 13:42Speaker 16: when he told Cuba, Don't insult my intelligence. I didn't
- 13:47Speaker 16: really see the actual full video. I heard about it
- 13:51Speaker 16: on the talk shows about Cuba's running their mouth at that.
- 13:55Speaker 16: They had a meeting. And the guy from America basically
- 13:59Speaker 16: ripped Cuba apart, ripped those four men apart. I don't
- 14:03Speaker 16: know too much about it. But I'm telling you right now,
- 14:06Speaker 16: we better win Tuesday. And I'm telling you, if they
- 14:09Speaker 16: get power.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Well, you better make sure you get out and vote
- 14:13Speaker 1: and get other people to go.
- 14:14Speaker 8: Out and vote.
- 14:15Speaker 3: You got to vote.
- 14:16Speaker 16: Get out there and vote.
- 14:17Speaker 18: Everybody's got to vote.
- 14:18Speaker 1: I sit back and say, listen, I don't care if
- 14:21Speaker 1: it's local elections. I don't know how you can vote.
- 14:24Speaker 1: I'm going to just be blunt with people. I don't
- 14:25Speaker 1: know how you can vote for a party that says
- 14:28Speaker 1: if you're white, you're a bigot, you're a white supremacist.
- 14:32Speaker 1: A fascist, a neo-Nazi, white privilege. Right, that's the only
- 14:38Speaker 1: way you accomplish... I mean, the terrible things that they say,
- 14:42Speaker 1: because I think the party is becoming more and more
- 14:43Speaker 1: racist against white people, because the things that they say
- 14:47Speaker 1: about white people.
- 14:48Speaker 21: It's just.
- 14:49Speaker 1: offensive to me or we're not going to hire on
- 14:50Speaker 1: merit it's going to be are you gay what colors
- 14:53Speaker 1: your skin well that's kind of racist to me because
- 14:56Speaker 1: you're making it all about a person's skin color not
- 14:58Speaker 1: the content of their character or their knowledge i don't
- 15:01Speaker 1: go for any of that and i don't go for
- 15:03Speaker 1: trying to Normalize this weird sexual stuff like we can't
- 15:07Speaker 1: define a woman. Oh, by the way, no mother and father.
- 15:10Speaker 1: It's a birthing parent. All this craziness. I won't vote
- 15:13Speaker 1: for it. That's a Democrat party. I will not vote
- 15:16Speaker 1: for it. On the local level, I will not support
- 15:19Speaker 1: it one bit with my vote. And I will not
- 15:22Speaker 1: support it on the national level one bit. I absolutely...
- 15:26Speaker 1: cannot support that lunatic party and the people that, if
- 15:30Speaker 1: you're a member of it, then you go along with
- 15:33Speaker 1: some of that craziness. I do not.
- 15:35Speaker 16: Ron, I'm going to leave now, but remember, I believe,
- 15:39Speaker 16: I think we're going to win Tuesday, so fingers crossed.
- 15:43Speaker 3: You take care.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Thank you. Well, we shall see. I mean, I don't
- 15:46Speaker 1: predict any of the outcomes. I can tell you, whatever
- 15:50Speaker 1: the outcome is, I can only tell you I'm going
- 15:52Speaker 1: to vote. And I only have one vote, so I
- 15:55Speaker 1: can only vote.
- 15:57Speaker 1: The way I'm going to vote. And I will not,
- 16:00Speaker 1: under no circumstances would I ever vote for Sherrod Brown.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Under no circumstances would I ever vote for Amy Acton.
- 16:07Speaker 1: You know, and like I say, you look at the,
- 16:09Speaker 1: even the statewide things, you know, with Faber, 81 of
- 16:13Speaker 1: 88 sheriffs support him for Attorney General.
- 16:16Speaker 23: 81 of 88.
- 16:16Speaker 1: That is impressive. you look at Frank LaRose, he is
- 16:22Speaker 1: just his military background and how he served this country.
- 16:25Speaker 1: But what he has done as you're, uh, securing the
- 16:29Speaker 1: elections here as your secretary of state, it's just a
- 16:33Speaker 1: phenomenal job, phenomenal job. And, uh, just a good guy.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Now he's running for auditor. So I think that that's,
- 16:44Speaker 1: you know, I vote for Frank LaRose. I vote for Faber.
- 16:47Speaker 1: There's no question in my mind. Uh, Vivek, he's smart.
- 16:54Speaker 1: He doesn't fear his tongue. He's willing to debate Amy Acton.
- 16:58Speaker 1: She doesn't want to debate him at all. Just look around.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Use your brain. Like what Trump did. All Trump is
- 17:08Speaker 1: about is you keeping more of your money. And I'll
- 17:11Speaker 1: say it again. I'm in opposition to the war. But
- 17:14Speaker 1: once again, I don't know everything they know. I really don't.
- 17:18Speaker 1: I can't sit here and say, I can give you
- 17:20Speaker 1: my opinion that I don't think it was a good idea.
- 17:22Speaker 1: But they might know stuff I don't have a clue about.
- 17:25Speaker 1: That they're not going to tell me what was going
- 17:29Speaker 1: on or they can't tell me. There's always that possibility.
- 17:33Speaker 20: So.
- 17:34Speaker 1: We shall see. But I know this much. My energy
- 17:36Speaker 1: prices stand a better chance of coming down under the
- 17:38Speaker 1: Republicans than under any damn Democrats. Did you happen to
- 17:43Speaker 1: see where you got somebody trying to buy out the
- 17:47Speaker 1: Wendy's chain because sales are down? Now, you keep hearing
- 17:52Speaker 1: these news stories. Now, listen to me. They keep saying, well,
- 17:55Speaker 1: sales are down. That's fast food and some companies trying
- 17:59Speaker 1: to buy Wendy's for like a billion and a half dollars.
- 18:03Speaker 1: And people aren't spending as much money at these places
- 18:07Speaker 1: because they had to raise the prices. Well, do you
- 18:09Speaker 1: think paying, saying, okay, we got to pay everybody 15
- 18:12Speaker 1: bucks an hour, 14 bucks an hour, you don't think
- 18:14Speaker 1: that raises prices? I mean, you don't think this idea of, well,
- 18:19Speaker 1: let's increase property taxes. You know, every location, if you
- 18:22Speaker 1: have a building, they got to pay higher utilities. They
- 18:24Speaker 1: got to pay higher property taxes. They got to pay
- 18:26Speaker 1: their people more per hour. They've got to pay more
- 18:30Speaker 1: for their beef and all their stuff, so they have
- 18:32Speaker 1: to raise their prices. What choice is there? Here's the choice.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Don't raise them and go out of business. Raise them
- 18:40Speaker 1: and at least stay in business. But every time I
- 18:45Speaker 1: hear people talking about, oh, these prices have gone up,
- 18:47Speaker 1: keep in mind all these people are telling you they
- 18:49Speaker 1: want a $ 15 and $ 20 an hour minimum wage. What
- 18:52Speaker 1: do you think that does to prices? You're on the air.
- 18:56Speaker 2: Good afternoon, Ron.
- 18:58Speaker 18: Yes.
- 18:59Speaker 15: Hey, I heard something the other day or saw a statistic,
- 19:04Speaker 15: and I had to look it up just.
- 19:06Speaker 3: To see if it was right.
- 19:07Speaker 15: But it said that 94% of Democrat voters think Trump
- 19:15Speaker 15: has gone too far with ICE.
- 19:17Speaker 2: Can you believe that?
- 19:20Speaker 1: Anything that, as far as Democrats, I absolutely believe that.
- 19:24Speaker 1: I think Democrats, they just hate Trump.
- 19:26Speaker 15: I went a little further and researched a little bit more.
- 19:29Speaker 15: I Googled, asked AI, what percentage of Hispanic and Latino
- 19:35Speaker 15: voters think Trump has gone too far? You know what
- 19:39Speaker 15: the answer to that was?
- 19:40Speaker 18: 66%.
- 19:42Speaker 15: 44% of Hispanic and Latino voters approve of what ICE
- 19:48Speaker 15: is doing. But the Democrats.
- 19:53Speaker 7: Don't.
- 19:54Speaker 15: I just thought that was amazing.
- 19:57Speaker 1: Well, that's interesting.
- 19:58Speaker 3: And nobody wants.
- 20:00Speaker 15: They'll cry on the news, the mainstream media, about ICE,
- 20:05Speaker 15: but they will never say that The actual immigrants, the
- 20:10Speaker 15: Hispanics and the Latino voters in this country that are
- 20:14Speaker 15: here legally actually support what is happening.
- 20:19Speaker 5: Yep.
- 20:20Speaker 15: In a vast, way bigger number than what just quote
- 20:23Speaker 15: unquote Democrats across the board.
- 20:27Speaker 1: There you go. You're enlightening our class today. You made
- 20:30Speaker 1: an action.
- 20:31Speaker 15: You can look that up and find the exact numbers, too.
- 20:34Speaker 15: But I'm pretty close from what I looked up yesterday. And, hey,
- 20:38Speaker 15: I wanted to mention one other thing. I'm from right
- 20:41Speaker 15: up there by you guys, but I'm down in Tennessee
- 20:44Speaker 15: working at the moment, so I try to listen to
- 20:47Speaker 15: you every day on iHeartRadio.
- 20:49Speaker 1: I appreciate that.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Because I really enjoy it. And you know who I.
- 20:52Speaker 15: Heard on the radio down here on one of the
- 20:55Speaker 15: local stations?
- 20:56Speaker 3: Who?
- 20:57Speaker 15: Your old buddy Bob Ney.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Refresh my memory. Where do I know that name from?
- 21:06Speaker 15: Representative Akron, maybe? Senator, state representative, something like that. I
- 21:12Speaker 15: forget what he was, but I know I heard him
- 21:13Speaker 15: on your radio show before years ago.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Yeah, and he was on in Tennessee.
- 21:19Speaker 15: He's a rather frequent contributor to one of the Radio stations,
- 21:24Speaker 15: talk radio stations down here.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Oh, in old Rocky Top. Yep. So what are you
- 21:30Speaker 1: doing in Tennessee? What are you doing down in Tennessee?
- 21:35Speaker 8: Construction job.
- 21:36Speaker 6: Oh, really? Yeah.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Well, good. Then do you stay down there for a
- 21:40Speaker 1: while until it's done? I mean, you don't get a
- 21:42Speaker 1: chance to come back home then, right?
- 21:44Speaker 15: Right.
- 21:45Speaker 3: They fly me home every two weeks.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Oh, okay. What do you build then?
- 21:49Speaker 3: For a weekend and then come back down.
- 21:50Speaker 1: Commercial stuff?
- 21:51Speaker 6: Yes.
- 21:52Speaker 15: It's environmental cleanup, actually. It's construction, but it's environmental remediation.
- 21:57Speaker 6: Oh, okay.
- 21:57Speaker 24: Cleaning up old hazardous waste, old plants, old places that
- 22:04Speaker 24: have been contaminated for decades and shut down for decades.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Tennessee's beautiful, though, isn't it? It's a nice state.
- 22:10Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, absolutely.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, so we got beautiful weather here today,
- 22:15Speaker 1: and I hope it stays this way for a while.
- 22:17Speaker 1: But if you're lucky enough to stay down there during
- 22:19Speaker 1: the winter, man, you're blessed.
- 22:22Speaker 15: I'll be here all winter.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Good for you, man. Well, stay in touch. Good hearing
- 22:25Speaker 1: your voice. Nice hearing you.
- 22:27Speaker 8: Thank you.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Thank you. You're on the air.
- 22:29Speaker 23: Hello?
- 22:32Speaker 3: Yes.
- 22:33Speaker 7: Oh, hi.
- 22:33Speaker 25: How are you?
- 22:34Speaker 1: I'm okay. Speak your piece.
- 22:36Speaker 9: Okay.
- 22:38Speaker 25: I'm going to talk about that Alaska thing.
- 22:39Speaker 5: I didn't hear a couple callers back, but here's what.
- 22:42Speaker 19: I don't understand.
- 22:43Speaker 25: Why don't you give the people in Alaska some credit
- 22:47Speaker 25: for having common sense?
- 22:49Speaker 9: I mean, they can read.
- 22:51Speaker 24: They can read the ballot and pick Dan Sullivan, the incumbent.
- 22:55Speaker 25: It's plain as day.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Well, I'm going to tell you why.
- 22:58Speaker 12: Why?
- 22:59Speaker 1: Because this explains how despicable the Democrats are to pull
- 23:04Speaker 1: such a thing in the first place.
- 23:05Speaker 25: Yeah, like Republicans never did that.
- 23:07Speaker 18: Trump would stoop.
- 23:08Speaker 1: To do anything to win. As a matter of fact,
- 23:11Speaker 1: we've never done that. You can't even cite an example
- 23:14Speaker 1: anywhere where they've ever done it. So, yeah, the answer
- 23:17Speaker 1: is no.
- 23:17Speaker 2: Look what he did in the last election.
- 23:19Speaker 21: He did it.
- 23:19Speaker 1: We never did. Did you try to win? Did you
- 23:22Speaker 1: see two Kamala Harris's on the ballot?
- 23:25Speaker 8: I didn't.
- 23:26Speaker 1: I mean, so you think it's OK to go out and.
- 23:30Speaker 26: Give them some credit for having some smart stuff.
- 23:32Speaker 1: No, I think it's despicable what the Democrat Party will
- 23:35Speaker 1: do to try to win. And you'll try to justify
- 23:38Speaker 1: it because of your hatred for Trump.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Whatever.
- 23:41Speaker 5: And you know what?
- 23:41Speaker 25: You need to get some new callers because it's the
- 23:43Speaker 25: same damn people every single day.
- 23:45Speaker 9: Every day.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:46Speaker 26: It's getting old.
- 23:47Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, why don't you get a new audience? I
- 23:50Speaker 1: got one of the biggest ones around. Stop your bellyaching.
- 23:53Speaker 9: Yeah, well, it's the same people every day.
- 23:54Speaker 1: You no good liberal. I'll be back. I heart.
- 24:01Speaker 8: Radio.
- 24:01Speaker 9: This is a fraud alert. 570 WKBN.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Absolutely. News Radio 570 WKBN and Ron Verb 356 here
- 24:07Speaker 1: in the afternoon. How about that liberal? Just trying to
- 24:14Speaker 1: justify the cheating in Alaska and bitching about Trump. And
- 24:21Speaker 1: we've never done that, but justifying what they'll do to
- 24:24Speaker 1: try to confuse the voter to win an election. See
- 24:27Speaker 1: the double standard that she has? And then, you know,
- 24:31Speaker 1: saying the vicious things about this beautiful program that she
- 24:35Speaker 1: can't stand, yet she's listening to it and calling it.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Isn't that something?
- 24:38Speaker 5: You're on the air.
- 24:40Speaker 7: Hey, Ron, those callers made my case for what I
- 24:43Speaker 7: was going to call you about today.
- 24:46Speaker 1: What is that?
- 24:49Speaker 7: This notion that there could be some kind of common
- 24:52Speaker 7: ground today. I don't think if you listen to those callers,
- 24:59Speaker 7: because I try, you know, get on Facebook, give.
- 25:01Speaker 3: Some facts out.
- 25:03Speaker 7: No, they do not want any factual information. They avoid
- 25:08Speaker 7: any kind of, like, simple debate. any kind of ideas,
- 25:13Speaker 7: anything that would go past their hatred then becomes sensitive, emotional,
- 25:20Speaker 7: fall apart, and there you go. It's the same every
- 25:26Speaker 7: single time you get in one of these conversations. So
- 25:30Speaker 7: what they do is they scratch the surface, they hear
- 25:33Speaker 7: what they want to hear, and then they hang on that.
- 25:36Speaker 7: January 6th, A hundred cops did not die if you
- 25:40Speaker 7: actually look up information so that you don't look like
- 25:45Speaker 7: a total idiot when you call and when you post
- 25:49Speaker 7: things on Facebook. And I'm asking myself, middle ground how?
- 25:54Speaker 7: Let's see. We've got a Muslim that hates Jews running
- 25:58Speaker 7: in Michigan. We've got a party that has no ideas
- 26:02Speaker 7: at all. Amy Acton just went right off into the
- 26:04Speaker 7: victim woods. on this issue. She doesn't have a single idea, but, oh, they.
- 26:09Speaker 3: Talked about my mother.
- 26:11Speaker 22: Boom.
- 26:12Speaker 7: She gets to not debate anything, not talk about any
- 26:15Speaker 7: actual ideas. They're always a victim. And to sit and
- 26:19Speaker 7: condone marrying your brother to get him in the United States,
- 26:26Speaker 7: and you're a congresswoman. I mean, how many things does
- 26:29Speaker 7: this party have to do before seven 1970 Democrats wake
- 26:36Speaker 7: up and see they're hanging on to the most lunacy
- 26:41Speaker 7: i've ever seen i mean it's almost earth-shaking that i
- 26:44Speaker 7: could drive down my road and see political signs with these.
- 26:48Speaker 1: People and let's see and let's be real let's be
- 26:51Speaker 1: realistic i got a break for news if you can
- 26:53Speaker 1: see it anybody should be able to see it right
- 26:57Speaker 1: exactly i'll be right back.
- 26:58Speaker 11: 100 years as the Valley's trusted news, weather, and talk station.
- 27:06Speaker 9: 570 WKBN. Youngstown.
- 27:14Speaker 14: A movement that's on the move. Lisa Brady, Fox News.
- 27:17Speaker 22: I'm talking about an American government that works again for
- 27:21Speaker 22: the American people.
- 27:22Speaker 14: Vice President J.D. Vance in Weatherford, Texas, west of Fort Worth.
- 27:25Speaker 22: This crowd is proof that everything from the enthusiasm to
- 27:30Speaker 22: the spirit to the patriotism, everything.
- 27:33Speaker 9: Is bigger in the state of Texas.
- 27:35Speaker 14: Keeping up the effort to rally turnout for Republicans, including
- 27:38Speaker 14: State Attorney General Ken Paxton, whose Senate race with James
- 27:42Speaker 14: Tallarico is considered a toss-up.
- 27:44Speaker 27: In Fox News power rankings.
- 27:46Speaker 14: And so is the South Carolina Senate race shifting from
- 27:50Speaker 14: lean Republican.
- 27:50Speaker 11: Tuesday night, let's make Lindsey really happy and proud.
- 27:56Speaker 14: President Trump rallying in Rock Hill for Senator Darlene Graham,
- 28:00Speaker 14: trying to keep her late brother's seat in a race
- 28:02Speaker 14: against Democrat Annie Andrews.
- 28:04Speaker 1: She's too crazy, too dangerous, and too radical to serve
- 28:07Speaker 1: in the United States Senate. And certainly- Certainly not from
- 28:11Speaker 1: this state.
- 28:12Speaker 14: Andrews has called Graham unqualified with no plans to address affordability.
- 28:17Speaker 14: Prices rising in the Fed's favored gauge.
- 28:20Speaker 28: The PCE price index, the inflation reading rose half a
- 28:23Speaker 28: percent from July and up 3.6 percent for the year
- 28:27Speaker 28: ending in September. There's a sign people are spending more
- 28:30Speaker 28: than they're making. Consumption rose half a percent. But incomes
- 28:34Speaker 28: were up a smaller two-tenths of a percent in September.
- 28:37Speaker 14: Fox's Jenny Kosola, consumer spending, part of what's fueling stronger
- 28:42Speaker 14: economic growth, the GDP, hitting 3.4% in the third quarter.
- 28:47Speaker 14: We're just getting word that actor Patrick Stewart has died.
- 28:50Speaker 14: Best known from the Star Trek Next Generation series and
- 28:53Speaker 14: films as Captain Picard, along with the X-Men franchise. A
- 28:57Speaker 14: spokesperson says he had Alzheimer's and Lewy body dementia. Patrick
- 29:01Speaker 14: Stewart was 86. Stocks finished lower of the Dow, down
- 29:06Speaker 14: 155 at the bell.

- 30:19Speaker 9: Now, Ron Verb on NewsRadio 570 WKBN.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Hidey-ho, 4.05 in the afternoon, a gorgeous-looking Thursday. 75 degrees,
- 30:30Speaker 1: Ron Verb here in the kingdom of Mahoning. Till the
- 30:33Speaker 1: legal show tonight at 5, Money Talks with John Arnold
- 30:36Speaker 1: tonight at 6 on NewsRadio 570 WKBN. Callers on the line,
- 30:41Speaker 1: stand by. I'll get back to you in a moment, Charlie.
- 30:43Speaker 1: Let me check on this. I'm hoping that this is
- 30:45Speaker 1: Frank LaRose. Hello.
- 30:46Speaker 31: This is Frank LaRose.
- 30:48Speaker 17: How are you doing, Ron?
- 30:49Speaker 1: I am doing well. And let me start by a
- 30:51Speaker 1: couple of things. And I'm going to get to politics,
- 30:54Speaker 1: but I've been wanting to talk to you for a
- 30:56Speaker 1: while about something that's totally outside of politics, just for
- 31:00Speaker 1: a second. You know, I can't tell you. Well, I
- 31:05Speaker 1: go to the Western Reserve Military Cemetery as a my
- 31:11Speaker 1: wife and daughters and family participate in the laying of
- 31:14Speaker 1: the wreaths. I know that you're very familiar with that
- 31:18Speaker 1: because of a son.
- 31:20Speaker 31: Wreaths Across America is the event that they do around Christmas, yeah.
- 31:24Speaker 1: We have a son and family members that are buried
- 31:27Speaker 1: in that cemetery, and it's just a very tranquil, beautiful place.
- 31:33Speaker 1: So my wife and I and my family were standing there.
- 31:37Speaker 1: Did you speak, was it last year or the year before?
- 31:39Speaker 1: I'm trying to place it.
- 31:41Speaker 31: I think it was last year. I've done a number
- 31:43Speaker 31: of those as a veteran and somebody who still serves myself.
- 31:45Speaker 31: This is something I consider a duty, but also a
- 31:49Speaker 31: real honor.
- 31:50Speaker 1: And I do as well. So as we were standing
- 31:53Speaker 1: there in a crowd, and I wanted to call you
- 31:55Speaker 1: shortly after that, and I never got around to it,
- 31:58Speaker 1: to tell you how, first of all, how thoughtful I
- 32:01Speaker 1: thought your speech was. I just thought it was a
- 32:03Speaker 1: great speech, a great presentation, and very fitting. And the
- 32:07Speaker 1: amount of respect I had for you standing there that
- 32:10Speaker 1: day listening to you. And I just really appreciated your words.
- 32:15Speaker 31: Well, I know that I have the honor of following
- 32:19Speaker 31: in the footsteps of some pretty brave men and women
- 32:21Speaker 31: that have served this country. And every day when I
- 32:23Speaker 31: get to put on the uniform at least a few
- 32:26Speaker 31: times a year, I consider it an honor that they
- 32:28Speaker 31: made that path for us.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Could you tell our listeners for a bit about, you know,
- 32:33Speaker 1: you were a Green Beret. Is that accurate?
- 32:36Speaker 9: Correct.
- 32:37Speaker 31: Yeah, I'm actually still serving in that capacity as a
- 32:40Speaker 31: member of the Ohio National Guard now. So I get
- 32:42Speaker 31: to do it on the weekends and actually deployed earlier
- 32:44Speaker 31: this year just for a short duration deployment, about six weeks.
- 32:49Speaker 31: It's something I really enjoy doing. And I'm just blessed
- 32:52Speaker 31: at 47 years old that my knees will still hold.
- 32:54Speaker 17: Up and I can do it.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Talk a little bit about your time in the military, because,
- 32:59Speaker 1: I mean, you were not sitting behind a desk.
- 33:03Speaker 32: No, not at all.
- 33:04Speaker 31: But no disrespect to those that do, right? It takes
- 33:08Speaker 31: every different job in the military to make our defense work.
- 33:12Speaker 31: I was inspired by my Boy Scout leader, believe it
- 33:15Speaker 31: or not, who was a World War II veteran.
- 33:16Speaker 17: I grew up in the 90s over in Akron.
- 33:19Speaker 31: And this guy was already in the 70s, but he
- 33:21Speaker 31: just loved being able to mentor and inspire young men
- 33:25Speaker 31: through the scouting program. And so Bill Miller, my Boy
- 33:28Speaker 31: Scout leader, was a D-Day invasion veteran, a concentration camp liberator.
- 33:33Speaker 31: And I remember him telling stories. He would say, Frankie,
- 33:36Speaker 31: someday people may tell you the Holocaust never happened.
- 33:38Speaker 17: Let me tell you what I saw with my own eyes.
- 33:40Speaker 31: At 14 years old, I started thinking, my God, this
- 33:43Speaker 31: man lived a life bigger than himself. And that's what
- 33:45Speaker 31: got me thinking about.
- 33:46Speaker 17: Maybe serving in the armed forces.
- 33:48Speaker 31: Enlisted when I was 18, never looked back. I was
- 33:51Speaker 31: happy as could be just a couple of weeks after
- 33:53Speaker 31: high school to leave for basic training. And I served
- 33:56Speaker 31: as an engineer with the 101st Airborne Division.
- 33:59Speaker 17: I loved it, but I was.
- 34:00Speaker 31: Looking for a new challenge. I'd done a number of
- 34:01Speaker 31: deployments with the 101st on active duty. I was looking
- 34:04Speaker 31: for a new challenge and tried out to become a
- 34:06Speaker 31: Green Beret, was blessed to be able to make it
- 34:08Speaker 31: through that process. And I've had the chance to travel
- 34:11Speaker 31: around the world with my best friends, including just recently,
- 34:14Speaker 31: and do a job that I love doing.
- 34:18Speaker 1: When you reflect that 47, you realize how difficult that
- 34:21Speaker 1: was to become a Green Beret.
- 34:24Speaker 31: Yeah, well, it's something I wouldn't have tried now, that's
- 34:27Speaker 31: for sure. I'll tell you what, as much as it's
- 34:29Speaker 31: physically demanding, and yes, you have to, to make it
- 34:32Speaker 31: through the Special Forces qualification, you have to be in
- 34:34Speaker 31: excellent physical condition. But really what they're looking for is
- 34:38Speaker 31: a mature.
- 34:40Speaker 17: soldier.
- 34:40Speaker 31: They're looking for somebody that is culturally aware, who can
- 34:44Speaker 31: work well in foreign countries and be a soldier diplomat.
- 34:48Speaker 31: And that's part of the job that I really enjoy. We,
- 34:51Speaker 31: as Green Berets, train with and train foreign militaries so
- 34:55Speaker 31: that they can go kill their own bad guys, basically,
- 34:57Speaker 31: and we don't have to do it for them.
- 34:59Speaker 17: And I love that work.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Isn't that just the laying of the wreaths that you
- 35:04Speaker 1: and I got to watch at Western Reserve Military Cemetery?
- 35:08Speaker 1: Isn't it just very moving to see it and to
- 35:12Speaker 1: see all the people that are there?
- 35:15Speaker 17: Every time.
- 35:16Speaker 31: And for me and for many of your listeners and
- 35:18Speaker 31: for you, it's way more personal. It's not just a name.
- 35:22Speaker 31: It's not just thinking of people that serve. We have
- 35:27Speaker 31: friends that are buried there. We have friends that have
- 35:29Speaker 31: made the ultimate sacrifice for this country. We know that
- 35:32Speaker 31: their families, even though it may have been decades ago, still.
- 35:37Speaker 17: Hurt from that loss.
- 35:38Speaker 31: And yeah, I think of Dan Crabtree, Sergeant First Class
- 35:41Speaker 31: Dan Crabtree, who was killed in Iraq when I was
- 35:44Speaker 31: deployed there. And, you know, I only got comfortable telling
- 35:48Speaker 31: this story recently. His family has encouraged me to, but
- 35:51Speaker 31: it was one of those situations where it should have
- 35:53Speaker 31: been me. He was in my place that day. We changed,
- 35:56Speaker 31: we switched spots that day and he was the one
- 35:59Speaker 31: that was killed and I wasn't.
- 36:01Speaker 17: And you kind of wonder why the Lord.
- 36:03Speaker 31: Decided to call him home and kept me here.
- 36:05Speaker 3: Oh, man.
- 36:07Speaker 31: But I think it's public service, and I'm going to
- 36:09Speaker 31: try to honor his life the best way I can.
- 36:14Speaker 1: It's later than I wanted it to be, but I
- 36:16Speaker 1: just want to start by saying thank you for being
- 36:18Speaker 1: here and thank you for a wonderful presentation. And I
- 36:22Speaker 1: certainly look forward to you doing it. in the future
- 36:25Speaker 1: as well. Hope to be able to shake your hands
- 36:27Speaker 1: one time when we are down there. Now let me
- 36:30Speaker 1: shift to, first, let me go back. There's an amendment
- 36:33Speaker 1: on our ballots that's going to be about securing the
- 36:36Speaker 1: elections as far as ID. Could you talk a little
- 36:38Speaker 1: bit about that? Because, you know, let's not forget that
- 36:41Speaker 1: you're Secretary of State.
- 36:43Speaker 9: Yeah, amen.
- 36:44Speaker 31: And as the Chief Elections Officer, I know that keeping
- 36:46Speaker 31: elections honest is something that you have to be intentional about.
- 36:49Speaker 31: It doesn't happen by accident.
- 36:51Speaker 5: We are, we.
- 36:53Speaker 17: We work on that every day.
- 36:56Speaker 31: One of the things that's honest in Ohio is list maintenance,
- 37:00Speaker 31: voter rolls, having paper ballots to get audited. One of
- 37:04Speaker 31: the important things is we check IDs in Ohio. It's
- 37:06Speaker 31: not discriminatory.
- 37:07Speaker 17: It's common sense. It's well accepted.
- 37:09Speaker 31: And by the way, in the last several years since
- 37:12Speaker 31: we have mandated and required photo.
- 37:14Speaker 17: ID, participation has gone up.
- 37:16Speaker 5: Not down.
- 37:17Speaker 17: And so that's good news.
- 37:18Speaker 31: What issue three would do, what a yes vote on
- 37:20Speaker 31: issue three would do is simply take the law that
- 37:23Speaker 31: has worked so well in Ohio and enshrine it in
- 37:25Speaker 31: our Constitution so it's permanent. We call it the Ohio
- 37:29Speaker 31: Revised Code, the law.
- 37:30Speaker 2: It changes.
- 37:31Speaker 31: It can change depending on who's in control of the
- 37:33Speaker 31: state legislature. We don't have to look very far to
- 37:36Speaker 31: see an example of this. It happened in the state
- 37:38Speaker 31: of Virginia a few years ago. Virginia had a photo
- 37:42Speaker 31: ID in their law, and then the balance of power
- 37:44Speaker 31: changed in their legislature, and now they do not. So
- 37:47Speaker 31: taking something as important as photo ID and making it
- 37:50Speaker 31: a permanent part of our state constitution, that's what a
- 37:53Speaker 31: yes vote on issue.
- 37:54Speaker 17: Three will do.
- 37:55Speaker 31: I think Ohioans, by the way, from both parties are
- 37:57Speaker 31: common sense people, and I believe that that'll pass with
- 38:00Speaker 31: a large majority, but I hope Ohioans vote.
- 38:02Speaker 17: Yes on issue three.
- 38:03Speaker 1: Absolutely, they should vote yes on it because you want
- 38:05Speaker 1: to have confidence and security in your election process. And
- 38:09Speaker 1: it's not a big deal to show an ID. And
- 38:12Speaker 1: like you said, the voter participation has increased. Not any
- 38:16Speaker 1: of the things that people have been fear mongering that
- 38:18Speaker 1: they've done. None of that is accurate.
- 38:22Speaker 2: No, not at all.
- 38:22Speaker 31: The chicken little crowd was saying that the sky is falling.
- 38:26Speaker 31: When we passed photo ID, they said it's suppression. It's
- 38:29Speaker 31: nothing of the sort. In fact, in Ohio, you can
- 38:31Speaker 31: get a free ID. If you don't have an ID,
- 38:33Speaker 31: you can go to any.
- 38:34Speaker 17: Bureau of Motor Vehicles office and get one for free.
- 38:38Speaker 31: Listen, we achieve a balance in Ohio. I reject this
- 38:42Speaker 31: idea that you have to choose either security or convenience.
- 38:45Speaker 17: You don't have to pick one or the other.
- 38:47Speaker 31: We have security and convenience in Ohio. It's undeniably easy
- 38:51Speaker 31: to vote. Look, we have four weeks of early voting,
- 38:52Speaker 31: over 200 hours of early voting, vote by mail, online
- 38:57Speaker 31: voter registration, convenient election day voting locations. It's undeniably easy
- 39:01Speaker 31: to vote in Ohio, but it's also hard to cheat.
- 39:04Speaker 31: Easy to vote and hard to cheat is the example
- 39:06Speaker 31: that Ohio sets for the rest of the country.
- 39:08Speaker 1: I had always heard, we're talking to Frank LaRose, that
- 39:11Speaker 1: Florida kind of copied Ohio when it comes to how
- 39:13Speaker 1: we do elections. Is that accurate?
- 39:16Speaker 31: In some ways, I'll tell you, it's a friendly rivalry.
- 39:20Speaker 31: My counterpart, the Florida Secretary of State, great guy, does
- 39:23Speaker 31: a tremendous job. Ohio and Florida are viewed jointly as
- 39:28Speaker 31: the two states that do this Now, I think Ohio
- 39:30Speaker 31: does it the best. Of course, Florida would say the same.
- 39:33Speaker 31: But we compete against each other. And when Congress was
- 39:36Speaker 31: looking for examples of how to improve elections in other states.
- 39:41Speaker 31: It was me and the Florida Secretary of State that
- 39:43Speaker 31: were there helping them write a bill that became the
- 39:45Speaker 31: Save America Act. People have said, and unfortunately, Congress has
- 39:50Speaker 31: passed it, but it died in the Senate because it
- 39:51Speaker 31: didn't have 60 votes. They've said, what would change in
- 39:55Speaker 31: Ohio if Congress passed, if the Senate passed the Save
- 39:57Speaker 31: America Act? Virtually nothing, because it's based on the way
- 40:00Speaker 31: Ohio and Florida run elections. So we're proud of that.
- 40:03Speaker 31: We're better than Florida, but they're constantly working every day
- 40:05Speaker 31: to try to catch up with us.
- 40:06Speaker 1: What I like about when I go to vote, here's
- 40:08Speaker 1: my ID. They give me a paper ballot. I fill
- 40:10Speaker 1: in the ovals. I insert it in the machine. It
- 40:12Speaker 1: tabulates it. But there is a paper ballot there to
- 40:15Speaker 1: back up what went into that machine.
- 40:17Speaker 31: I mean, that makes me— Yeah, in every county, without exception,
- 40:22Speaker 31: dead tree, wet ink, hard copy paper. And, yeah, it
- 40:25Speaker 31: is an electronic scan. That's how we get the results
- 40:28Speaker 31: on election night. Otherwise, we wouldn't have results as quick
- 40:31Speaker 31: as we do. We give you the quick results on
- 40:33Speaker 31: election night electronically, but we call that an unofficial result
- 40:36Speaker 31: for a reason. The final official result comes a couple
- 40:39Speaker 31: weeks later after we have hand-counted a representative sample of
- 40:44Speaker 31: the paper and compared the paper result to the electronic
- 40:47Speaker 31: result to make sure there's fidelity and that they match up.
- 40:50Speaker 31: So yeah, there's just another reason why you can trust
- 40:52Speaker 31: your elections here in Ohio.
- 40:53Speaker 1: I mean, you have done such a wonderful job as
- 40:56Speaker 1: our Secretary of State. I mean, I got to tell
- 40:58Speaker 1: you something, you know, when it comes to term limits,
- 41:01Speaker 1: there's good sides and bad sides. I hate to see
- 41:03Speaker 1: DeSantis term limited out, probably one of the best governors ever.
- 41:07Speaker 1: He's just doing such a great job. I hate to
- 41:08Speaker 1: see him term limited out or anybody term limited out
- 41:11Speaker 1: that is just doing terrific work that deserves to stay
- 41:14Speaker 1: in that position for a long period of time. But
- 41:17Speaker 1: it is what it is now. You are running, and
- 41:20Speaker 1: before I mention, you're running for auditor. Keith Faber is
- 41:22Speaker 1: our auditor, and he's running for attorney general. And as
- 41:26Speaker 1: I brag to people about him, how impressive is it
- 41:29Speaker 1: that he has 81 of 88 sheriffs endorsing Faber to
- 41:32Speaker 1: be our attorney general?
- 41:37Speaker 31: And the number's gone up since then. He's at 83
- 41:39Speaker 31: now out of 88 current or former sheriffs. And by
- 41:45Speaker 31: the way, he was the first sheriff Republican in a
- 41:48Speaker 31: long time running for AG to get the endorsement of
- 41:50Speaker 31: the FOP. The FOP has endorsed me as well. Listen,
- 41:53Speaker 31: Keith is a tremendous state auditor. He's going to do
- 41:57Speaker 31: a great job as attorney general. But speaking of competition,
- 42:00Speaker 31: Keith and I are competitive as well. He's put 172
- 42:03Speaker 31: Perkin politicians in jail for stealing your tax dollars. I've
- 42:06Speaker 31: told him I can exceed that number. And we're going to,
- 42:08Speaker 31: you know, he's found tens of billions of dollars in waste,
- 42:13Speaker 31: fraud and abuse, Medicaid dollars or any other forms. And
- 42:17Speaker 31: I'm going to work to take that to the next
- 42:19Speaker 31: level as well as the next state auditor.
- 42:20Speaker 18: The mission at the.
- 42:21Speaker 31: Auditor's office is clear. And I get most people didn't
- 42:24Speaker 31: wake up this morning thinking about the race for state auditor.
- 42:26Speaker 31: But you should be because it is your watchdog for
- 42:29Speaker 31: fraud and corruption. And it's also the one office in
- 42:32Speaker 31: state government that can work to make the rest of
- 42:34Speaker 31: government more efficient. Now, we talk about government efficiency. Sometimes
- 42:38Speaker 31: people's eyes glaze over and they want to go to sleep.
- 42:40Speaker 31: But this is exciting to me because when government wastes
- 42:43Speaker 31: your money, they raise taxes. When government's wasting money, it
- 42:47Speaker 31: shows up in the form of higher property taxes. And
- 42:50Speaker 31: government taking more money out of your pocket than you
- 42:52Speaker 31: can afford is a real challenge for Ohio families. We
- 42:55Speaker 31: can put the squeeze on that through these performance audits,
- 42:58Speaker 31: which are really an efficiency study at the Auditor of
- 43:00Speaker 31: State's office.
- 43:02Speaker 1: Listen, as much respect as I have for what you've
- 43:04Speaker 1: done as Secretary of State, there's no doubt in my
- 43:06Speaker 1: mind as auditor, you'll do an absolutely outstanding job. And
- 43:10Speaker 1: that's what I'm looking for. I'm looking for somebody like
- 43:13Speaker 1: you to hunt down this fraud. It's not fair to
- 43:16Speaker 1: me as a taxpayer and a citizen of the state.
- 43:18Speaker 1: I deserve better.
- 43:20Speaker 31: Yeah, and I've got some ideas for how we can
- 43:22Speaker 31: modernize some things as well.
- 43:24Speaker 17: I mean, in too many cases.
- 43:26Speaker 31: We're months behind on this kind of stuff, and the
- 43:30Speaker 31: bad guys have gotten away with it for a month
- 43:32Speaker 31: or a year or who knows. I would rather we
- 43:35Speaker 31: move that process up and move it faster, and I
- 43:37Speaker 31: think we can do.
- 43:38Speaker 17: That by unleashing the power of AI, right.
- 43:40Speaker 1: Quite honestly.
- 43:41Speaker 31: This is a good example of where automated intelligence, or
- 43:45Speaker 31: as President Trump calls it, superintelligence, artificial intelligence or super intelligence,
- 43:51Speaker 31: but it's a tool that is recognizing patterns. And when
- 43:56Speaker 31: you're looking at millions of lines of accounting for every city, county, township,
- 44:02Speaker 31: school district, university, CHI is really good at finding where
- 44:07Speaker 31: there are anomalies so that we can get the human
- 44:09Speaker 31: investigators on it quicker.
- 44:11Speaker 17: This is the kind of thing I.
- 44:12Speaker 1: Want to do with the auditor's office. When you look
- 44:14Speaker 1: at what has taken place in Minnesota and some concern
- 44:19Speaker 1: we have even here in the state of Ohio, what
- 44:21Speaker 1: are your thoughts with some of the people that are
- 44:23Speaker 1: in our state taking advantage of our systems?
- 44:28Speaker 17: Absolutely sickening. And let's think about this.
- 44:30Speaker 31: This is not a victimless crime. When somebody steals Medicaid dollars,
- 44:34Speaker 31: first of all, they're defrauding you and me by stealing
- 44:36Speaker 31: for tax dollars. But they're also stealing from widows and
- 44:40Speaker 31: orphans and disabled children and people that actually deserve to
- 44:44Speaker 31: get these benefits that need them. These are people that
- 44:47Speaker 31: are too lazy to earn a living the way you
- 44:49Speaker 31: and I do, and they just want to go out
- 44:50Speaker 31: to the mailbox and get a check that they weren't
- 44:52Speaker 31: supposed to get. This is something that we're going to
- 44:54Speaker 31: take very seriously. I think that Faber's done a really
- 44:57Speaker 31: good job of raising these issues.
- 44:59Speaker 17: I think in some cases the administration has not been
- 45:02Speaker 17: responsive enough. I think you're going to see.
- 45:04Speaker 31: That change under a Ramaswamy administration. In fact, I've had
- 45:08Speaker 31: this conversation multiple times. When I come to him as
- 45:11Speaker 31: state auditor and show him all of these things, he's
- 45:13Speaker 31: going to roll up his sleeve and fix it, not say, hey.
- 45:16Speaker 17: You know, I don't know if we can get to
- 45:17Speaker 17: this today.
- 45:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, it's just something that I am fully
- 45:22Speaker 1: confident that if anyone can do the right thing for
- 45:25Speaker 1: the voters of Ohio and for the taxpayers of Ohio,
- 45:28Speaker 1: it is Frank LaRose. There is no question in my mind,
- 45:31Speaker 1: just based on what you did for our elections, based
- 45:34Speaker 1: on how you served our country, and based on what
- 45:37Speaker 1: you can do in this position. I mean, it's a statement, folks,
- 45:40Speaker 1: I can easily make. To be blunt with you, I
- 45:43Speaker 1: would vote for this guy. I don't care what he
- 45:45Speaker 1: would run for. I mean, I just think that's the
- 45:47Speaker 1: character of the man and the quality of work that
- 45:50Speaker 1: he is showing time and time and time again. And
- 45:53Speaker 1: I couldn't be more honored that you're that you're running
- 45:56Speaker 1: for auditor. And I think that that's I can't wait.
- 45:59Speaker 1: I hope hopefully you'll be successful in it. I hope
- 46:02Speaker 1: Ramaswamy is as well. A nightmare to me is Amy Acton.
- 46:06Speaker 1: I mean, how she doesn't even have any qualifications to
- 46:09Speaker 1: run a 50 billion dollar a year business.
- 46:13Speaker 31: I wouldn't put her in charge of a lemonade stand,
- 46:15Speaker 31: let alone the great state of Ohio. And think about
- 46:17Speaker 31: what happened last time we had a Democrat governor in Ohio.
- 46:20Speaker 31: We had 98 cents in the state rainy day fund.
- 46:23Speaker 31: Unemployment was nearing 10%. We had businesses fleeing the state
- 46:28Speaker 31: like rats jumping from a sinking ship. And Ohio is
- 46:31Speaker 31: ranked 37th in the nation as far as states to
- 46:34Speaker 31: do business in. Contrast that to today. After a few
- 46:38Speaker 31: years of Republican leadership where we cut taxes, streamlined regulations,
- 46:42Speaker 31: we're now ranked by CNBC as number one state in
- 46:45Speaker 31: the nation to do business in. Taxes are at an
- 46:47Speaker 31: all-time low. What Favek's talking about is bringing income taxes
- 46:51Speaker 31: down to zero in the state so we can compete
- 46:53Speaker 31: with Texas and Tennessee and Florida. And we've got people
- 46:56Speaker 31: wanting to move to Iowa.
- 46:57Speaker 17: Look at all the cranes in the air. Factories being built.
- 47:00Speaker 1: Beautiful.
- 47:00Speaker 31: Intel and Pandrel and Joby and all the amazing things
- 47:06Speaker 31: that are happening. It really does make a difference.
- 47:07Speaker 3: You've got to get out and vote.
- 47:09Speaker 1: Frank LaRose, good luck. I want you to be auditor.

- 48:40Speaker 4: Well, we've just finished up picking all of our apples
- 48:43Speaker 4: off the tree, so virtually everything is in the market.
- 48:47Speaker 4: I think we have now about 13, 14 kinds of
- 48:49Speaker 4: apples on our shelves right now. We've started our fresh
- 48:53Speaker 4: sauerkraut that everybody's been waiting for. We have beautiful heads
- 48:57Speaker 4: of cabbage and cauliflower, some homegrown broccoli. Of course, lots
- 49:02Speaker 4: of donuts for the weekend being Halloween. And the deli's
- 49:07Speaker 4: stocked full. Stop out and see us, guys. It's a
- 49:10Speaker 4: great time of year, and the weather's still great.
- 49:12Speaker 1: And you've got to love those apples. They are just
- 49:15Speaker 1: terrific this year.
- 49:16Speaker 3: I think.
- 49:17Speaker 9: They sure are.
- 49:17Speaker 1: They're wonderful. So go see Debbie and the gang at
- 49:19Speaker 1: White House Fruit Farm in Canfield.
- 49:22Speaker 27: Ask any GoodRx customer.
- 49:24Speaker 9: WKBN.
- 49:25Speaker 1: All right, back to it. NewsRadio 570, WKBN. You're on
- 49:28Speaker 1: the air.
- 49:29Speaker 20: Ron, good afternoon, sir. How are you?
- 49:31Speaker 1: I'm well, Richard.
- 49:33Speaker 20: A couple things I'd like to say to the old
- 49:37Speaker 20: codger Democrat that calls all the time. There's treatment for TDS.
- 49:43Speaker 20: I don't understand these guys. I mean, you can hate Trump.
- 49:47Speaker 20: I don't like the guy. I think a lot of
- 49:49Speaker 20: times I think he's a moron. I wouldn't want him
- 49:51Speaker 20: to be dating my daughter or anything like that. But
- 49:54Speaker 20: you have to separate personality from policy. And I mean,
- 49:58Speaker 20: most of the policies he is pushing, if you went
- 50:01Speaker 20: back 30 years ago, are boilerplate Democrat policies. They're, you know,
- 50:05Speaker 20: America first policies. put on tariffs, bring back jobs, build
- 50:10Speaker 20: stuff in this country. But these people can't see the
- 50:13Speaker 20: forest for the trees. I mean, that's the whole problem.
- 50:16Speaker 20: And the biggest problem I think you have with Democrats,
- 50:19Speaker 20: and one of the callers before me alluded to this,
- 50:23Speaker 20: was they're the party of the aggrieved. Everybody that's a
- 50:26Speaker 20: Democrat that I know has an issue. They think they're
- 50:31Speaker 20: getting screwed.
- 50:32Speaker 3: I had an old neighbor.
- 50:33Speaker 20: Every time something happened, oh, I'm getting screwed, I'm getting screwed,
- 50:36Speaker 20: all the time.
- 50:38Speaker 3: And it grew up in one of the blue-collar.
- 50:41Speaker 20: Working-class hero areas. You've got Campbell Struthers, Niles Warren, the
- 50:48Speaker 20: Democrat strongholds. And it's all the old union guys. And
- 50:52Speaker 20: I'm not an anti-union guy. Heck, I'd probably join a
- 50:54Speaker 20: union if it was available for me to join it.
- 50:57Speaker 20: But they all think that the company's screwing them, that
- 51:00Speaker 20: the government's screwing them. Everything in life, anything that bad happens,
- 51:04Speaker 20: it's not their fault. Somebody's out to get them. And
- 51:07Speaker 20: I've always said that the mascot for this area, it
- 51:10Speaker 20: shouldn't be like a scrapper or something like that. It
- 51:12Speaker 20: should be a guy with a chip on his shoulder.
- 51:14Speaker 20: Because that's about what half the population in this area has.
- 51:17Speaker 20: They feel like they've been raked over the coals, and
- 51:21Speaker 20: somebody's always screwed them over their whole lives. And I
- 51:23Speaker 20: just don't understand that. In this country, you can pretty
- 51:28Speaker 20: much do anything you want to do if you've got
- 51:30Speaker 20: a work ethic, a couple brains between your ears, and
- 51:34Speaker 20: you're willing to show up for work every day. That's
- 51:38Speaker 20: all it takes. Go to school. Pay attention in school.
- 51:40Speaker 20: Don't screw around. It's not rocket science. But you've got
- 51:46Speaker 20: a lot of these old people that just... I don't
- 51:49Speaker 20: understand it. I don't understand how you can always feel
- 51:52Speaker 20: sorry for yourself. Like you say, get off your butt
- 51:56Speaker 20: and go do something.
- 51:58Speaker 1: Stop having a victimization mentality.
- 52:02Speaker 3: Yep.
- 52:03Speaker 20: But that's the biggest problem this whole area has is
- 52:07Speaker 20: there are legions of people like that. Most of them
- 52:10Speaker 20: grew up working in the factories, and they just feel
- 52:13Speaker 20: like the company was all, you know. My first job
- 52:15Speaker 20: was Farm War in Niles. And I used to deal
- 52:17Speaker 20: with a lot of the Packard Electric and General Motors people.
- 52:20Speaker 20: And I knew nothing about them. My dad worked for commercial.
- 52:23Speaker 20: My mom was a police dispatcher. So I didn't have
- 52:26Speaker 20: any neighbors that worked there. But these people were some
- 52:29Speaker 20: of the most unhappy, demanding people. The company's out to
- 52:34Speaker 20: screw me people. They always had to have brand name
- 52:36Speaker 20: because I work at General Motors. I get brand name.
- 52:39Speaker 20: So it's no wonder that that plan is gone. If
- 52:41Speaker 20: I was GM, I would have probably closed the plan.
- 52:43Speaker 20: I'd probably move overseas, too, because these people, no matter
- 52:47Speaker 20: what you do for them, you're paying them a really
- 52:49Speaker 20: good wage back then and even now. And whatever they do,
- 52:53Speaker 20: it's not good enough. The company is always screwing them over.
- 52:59Speaker 20: They've got great health care, better health care than most people.
- 53:02Speaker 20: They're making a better wage than most people, and it's
- 53:05Speaker 20: just not good enough. And so, like I said, the
- 53:08Speaker 20: Amstown chip on the shoulder should be the– some guy
- 53:11Speaker 20: with a big chip on his shoulder should be the
- 53:14Speaker 20: mascot for this area because ever since I've been old
- 53:18Speaker 20: enough to work, that's what I feel like I deal
- 53:21Speaker 20: with most of the time.
- 53:24Speaker 1: Because you are.
- 53:26Speaker 20: Disagree with me. I mean, this area can't get out
- 53:31Speaker 20: of its own way. It's the most disappointing thing. We've
- 53:33Speaker 20: got so much to offer. And if we could just
- 53:36Speaker 20: change the mentality of so many people in this area
- 53:39Speaker 20: to be more positive about the area and to chip
- 53:42Speaker 20: in and make it better. But there's too many people
- 53:45Speaker 20: with their handouts. There's too many people that want to
- 53:47Speaker 20: get on the government dole. I just don't understand it.
- 53:53Speaker 20: I don't understand how you can go through life that way.
- 53:57Speaker 1: Is it just here, you think?
- 54:01Speaker 20: I'm sure it's a lot of places, but this area
- 54:05Speaker 20: seems to have more than its fair share. Let's put
- 54:10Speaker 20: it to you that way. And I think, like I said, unfortunately,
- 54:13Speaker 20: I think a lot of it goes back to the
- 54:14Speaker 20: fact that we were a big union industrial base. And
- 54:19Speaker 20: I think these people got spoiled. Maybe they were raised,
- 54:21Speaker 20: you know, I think a lot of people were raised
- 54:23Speaker 20: that way. You got to vote for the union because
- 54:25Speaker 20: the company's going to screw you.
- 54:26Speaker 7: Right.
- 54:27Speaker 20: No evidence that the company was going to screw you,
- 54:28Speaker 20: mind you. And the skilled workers, those guys were making,
- 54:31Speaker 20: they were getting what, after 20 or 30 years, you're
- 54:34Speaker 20: getting 12 weeks vacation?
- 54:35Speaker 1: And this idea that you vote for Democrats, Democrats for labor. Well,
- 54:39Speaker 1: that might have been true years ago. Stand by back
- 54:41Speaker 1: with Rich in a minute and more of your calls
- 54:43Speaker 1: straight ahead. Legal show at five. Stay tuned.

- 56:04Speaker 1: All right, let me get back to, are you there, Rich? Okay,
- 56:13Speaker 1: there you are. Okay. But it's going to be an
- 56:18Speaker 1: interesting election.
- 56:20Speaker 12: Agree?
- 56:22Speaker 3: Oh, God willing.
- 56:23Speaker 20: I mean, if you listen to Frank LaRose, that interview
- 56:25Speaker 20: you did with him, which was excellent. If you listen
- 56:27Speaker 20: to that, how can you not vote for the guy?
- 56:30Speaker 20: He's immensely, he's eminently competent. I mean, I can't imagine
- 56:35Speaker 20: the Democrats fielding a more competent individual than the one
- 56:38Speaker 20: to whom you just spoke.
- 56:40Speaker 9: Right.
- 56:40Speaker 20: So even if you're a Democrat, how do you vote
- 56:42Speaker 20: against competence as opposed to incompetence?
- 56:46Speaker 1: Well, I go back to say, how do you vote
- 56:48Speaker 1: against Ralph Meacham? He's running, who's running for Moaning is
- 56:52Speaker 1: to continue as our Moaning County auditor. I was just,
- 56:57Speaker 1: did you see the qualifications that, uh, I just want
- 57:01Speaker 1: to reiterate something here. Just hang on a second here.
- 57:04Speaker 1: I got to find this article that came my way from, uh,
- 57:09Speaker 1: Just a minute. Okay, wait a second here. Let's see.
- 57:15Speaker 5: Where is it?
- 57:16Speaker 1: Let's see here. I want to get to Meacham. Listen
- 57:44Speaker 1: to this, though. Listen to this when it comes to
- 57:46Speaker 1: Ralph Meacham. He's the current Mahoney County Auditor, and I
- 57:49Speaker 1: think the best we've ever had, quite frankly. His career
- 57:52Speaker 1: includes positions, this is from the Vindicator, with Federal Reserve
- 57:55Speaker 1: Bank of Cleveland, Ernst & Ernst, and Mellon Bank. He
- 58:00Speaker 1: also served as chief financial officer of the Pittsburgh Steelers
- 58:04Speaker 1: and held financial management positions with Butler Wick and Packard Thomas.
- 58:09Speaker 1: He's also a CPA. I got a certified public accountant
- 58:13Speaker 1: for 47 years. He holds an economics degree from John
- 58:17Speaker 1: Carroll University and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University.
- 58:22Speaker 1: That's Ralph Meacham. You know what? We're lucky we got him.
- 58:25Speaker 5: Really?
- 58:25Speaker 20: Can you imagine how dumb he is? I mean, Case Western?
- 58:29Speaker 1: Can you imagine? Why would anyone vote against him? I mean,
- 58:33Speaker 1: this guy is so abundantly qualified for this position and
- 58:37Speaker 1: has done a stellar job in this position that if
- 58:40Speaker 1: you don't vote for Ralph Meacham, I don't care if
- 58:42Speaker 1: you're a Democrat or Republican, if you're a Democrat and
- 58:45Speaker 1: you don't vote for Ralph Meacham, you should have your
- 58:47Speaker 1: head examined. The qualifications that he brings is just impeccable.
- 58:51Speaker 1: And the job he's done is impeccable.
- 58:54Speaker 20: And here's the thing. If he was a Democrat, I
- 58:56Speaker 20: would still vote for him.
- 58:57Speaker 1: Me too.
- 58:58Speaker 20: Because he's qualified and he's a great public servant. He's
- 59:01Speaker 20: probably the best public servant in Mahoning County. Like I've
- 59:04Speaker 20: always said, him, Green, Gennetti are right now.
- 59:06Speaker 3: My two favorites.
- 59:08Speaker 1: That would be three if you're counting.
- 59:10Speaker 3: Three, I'm sorry.
- 59:11Speaker 20: I'm sorry I didn't throw him into the mix. But
- 59:14Speaker 20: did you see on the news last night that the
- 59:17Speaker 20: Port Authority had a meeting about the demolition of Eastern Gateway?
- 59:20Speaker 20: Because they can't wait to get that boondoggle off their hands.
- 59:23Speaker 20: It's costing too much money. And they got the three
- 59:25Speaker 20: stooges who run Mahoning County to buy the thing and
- 59:28Speaker 20: wreck it for them.
- 59:29Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 59:31Speaker 20: But I haven't seen a demolition contract. Maybe Geno can
- 59:34Speaker 20: post the demolition contract for us.
- 59:36Speaker 1: I don't know how much that's going to cost. Well,
- 59:39Speaker 1: you deserve to know. It's the public's business, right? I mean,
- 59:42Speaker 1: you deserve to know how much this is going to
- 59:43Speaker 1: run you and what that is.
- 59:48Speaker 20: I think they should name it. After it's finally built,
- 59:51Speaker 20: I think it should be called the Geno Taj Mahal.
- 59:54Speaker 1: Geno Taj Mahal?
- 59:55Speaker 20: Yeah, I think that would be a good name for it.
- 59:57Speaker 20: The Geno Taj Mahal Mahoning County Government Center.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: Oh, dirty pool.
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: He's the one.
- 1:00:04Speaker 20: That championed it. I mean, it's his baby, so he
- 1:00:07Speaker 20: owns it.
- 1:00:08Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: Well, there you have it.
- 1:00:10Speaker 20: Biggest waste of public money I've seen in this area
- 1:00:13Speaker 20: probably in my lifetime. Totally unnecessary.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: You know, Mark, people talk, well, I got you on
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: the line, where people are talking against flock cameras and
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: all this kind of stuff.
- 1:00:21Speaker 36: Right?
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: You always hear it. Listen to this story from the Vindicator.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: Police are investigating a fight outside Walmart that involved at
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: least 15 people, including a woman with a gun. The
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: Monday evening situation escalated when a woman allegedly brandished a
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: firearm and pepper sprayed several people, including a juvenile, according
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: to the Boardman cops. Officers responded to the store shortly
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: before 9 p.m. after receiving reports of a large fight.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: The confrontation had ended by the time the cops arrived.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: The first responding officer encountered a crowd on the west
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: side of the building where a Walmart employee directed him
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: toward the group and said a woman with a gun
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: had fled. A juvenile witness told the police that she
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: had seen two girls fighting near Youngstown Skate on Tiffany
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: Boulevard before the group moved towards Walmart. Police said a
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: man who had just left the skating rink with his
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: family told police he saw a group of people running
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: towards Walmart, stopped his vehicle near the group, and began
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: recording the confrontation with his phone, hoping to prevent another fight.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: He said an adult woman then approached his vehicle and
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: pepper sprayed him in the face. The man's family also
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: was affected by the spray. He told police a verbal
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: argument followed during which a woman brandished a firearm. Another
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: witness reported hearing a woman cock or load the gun.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: The report states that the family fled towards its vehicle
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: for safety and witnesses reported seeing the woman enter a
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: Turquoise or blue dodged Durango and leave the area. Boardman
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: firefighters and Laney MS personnel responded to evaluate those exposed
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: to pepper spray. Several people were immediately cleared at the scene,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: but one juvenile suffered eye pain, was transported by ambulance
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: to Akron Children's Hospital. Police obtained phone recordings of the
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: confrontation and surveillance video from Walmart as evidence. The report
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: states police also searched flock license plate reader recorders and
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: located a blue Dodge Durango traveling on Tiffany Boulevard around
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: 9 p.m. The vehicle's registration information helped police identify a
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: woman matching the description of the suspect assailant. She was
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: listed as a person of interest, but her name was
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: not released. Police classified the incidents as intimidation and simple assault.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: The report does not state that any arrest has been
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: made or criminal charges filed. And the investigation remains active
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: as of Tuesday afternoon. But you know, everybody bitching about
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: flock cameras, all of you people bitching about them. Here's
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: a woman brandishing a gun over by the Boardman Walmarts
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: fleeing before the cops get there. And because they knew
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: what she was driving, they were able to find her
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: vehicle because of a flock camera. And you want to
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: get rid of flock cameras? Not me. Comment, Rich?
- 1:03:10Speaker 20: They have their pros and their cons.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: Yep.
- 1:03:12Speaker 20: I understand both sides of the equation.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: But right now the pros far outweigh any cons.
- 1:03:19Speaker 20: And I have zero problem, zero problem with any private
- 1:03:24Speaker 20: business having a flock camera on their establishment.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: A lot of them do.
- 1:03:29Speaker 20: Yeah, and I mean, if anybody should, in my opinion,
- 1:03:32Speaker 20: that Walmart should. I work right across the street from it.
- 1:03:35Speaker 20: And trust me, I mean, it's a different world over there.
- 1:03:37Speaker 8: Right.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: But, I mean, they were able to apparently find this
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: person because of a flock camera. If you didn't have that,
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: you wouldn't be able to find somebody who had the
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: audacity to pull out a gun in that situation and
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: pepper spray people, which is just ridiculous. So I thought.
- 1:03:54Speaker 20: Yeah, but they do need to be very, very heavily
- 1:03:57Speaker 20: regulated as far as who can access them, under what circumstances.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: And they are regulated, and those people that abuse them
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: end up paying a price for it, and they should.
- 1:04:06Speaker 20: And they should, absolutely, because you're always going to have
- 1:04:10Speaker 20: somebody that does something that they know they shouldn't do.
- 1:04:13Speaker 8: Absolutely.
- 1:04:15Speaker 20: And the problem is, my mom was a police dispatcher
- 1:04:18Speaker 20: for Boardman for, I think, over 20 years, and she
- 1:04:21Speaker 20: went into records and stuff like that, but Almost all
- 1:04:24Speaker 20: the cops. I knew almost all of them. They were
- 1:04:26Speaker 20: all good people. I don't ever remember a bad cop. Now,
- 1:04:30Speaker 20: there are some, but it's rare. And that's another thing
- 1:04:36Speaker 20: that the left loves to do. They love to vilify
- 1:04:38Speaker 20: the police. We've got to defund the police. You're defunding
- 1:04:42Speaker 20: people that are trying to keep you safe, that are
- 1:04:44Speaker 20: trying to protect you from the hordes that are coming
- 1:04:49Speaker 20: over from the skate connection to Walmart to cause problems.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: Right, and mayhem, basically. You're 100% right. All right, Rich.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: Appreciate it, buddy. Thank you.
- 1:04:58Speaker 20: Enjoy your evening.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: All right, you're on the air.
- 1:05:02Speaker 7: Hey, Ron.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: Yes, Emanuel.
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: Rich, I hope you're still listening, okay, Rich? Because this
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: one's going to you, Rich. That's okay with you.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: Ron, okay? You're up to the plate and Rich is pitching,
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: or Rich is in the outfield and you're pointing out there.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: Or no, you're batting and you're pointing to Rich. This
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: one's going to you, okay?
- 1:05:22Speaker 3: No, we're sitting at the dinner table. I'm asking him
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: to pass me the gravy, okay?
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:05:29Speaker 3: Now, this is the deal. Two things. Number one, what's
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: wrong with this area is too many old folks here. <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL>.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> I'm a little sensitive to that.
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: I resemble that remark. I'm old, too, Ron. I'm just
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: calling like I see it. Now, Rich, you don't understand,
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: my brother. Now, you know I got mad respect for you,
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: your family, and everything you're about. And I agree.
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: 99.99999.
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: One more nine. Police officers are good.
- 1:06:02Speaker 6: Okay?
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: But I'm going to tell you why... People are voting Democrat.
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: This is what we want. And it's not really Democrat.
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: It's American. It's the same thing you guys voted for
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: when Trump showed up.
- 1:06:16Speaker 6: And it's this, okay?
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: I'm voting Democrat because I believe if I vote Democrat,
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: the F-10 files will get released. If we can get
- 1:06:25Speaker 3: the House and the Senate, we'll get those files.
- 1:06:27Speaker 9: Well, why didn't they.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: Release them when they were in charge?
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: I'm not done yet.
- 1:06:32Speaker 9: Never mind, Ron.
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: I'm asking you, when the Democrats were in charge of everything,
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: why didn't they release them then? What makes you think
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: they'll do it now?
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: Listen to me, Ron.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: I'm just trying to ask you a question.
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: You're not listening, Ron. I'm trying to answer it, Ron.
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: You're not listening to me.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: I'm listening.
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: You have.
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: All day, every day, Monday through Friday, that say the
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: way you feel. Now, I'm going to tell you how
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: I feel, and you're not going to listen to it.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: You're going to listen to it. I asked you a question.
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: You told me the way you feel, and I said,
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: you say, well, if the Democrats win, the Epstein files
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: get released. I said, why didn't they release them when
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: they were in charge? Why don't you answer that question?
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: Excuse me. Yeah.
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: We've been talking a long time.
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: Right. And I don't want to argue with you.
- 1:07:22Speaker 24: I know.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: I'm just asking you a question.
- 1:07:24Speaker 3: I just want to tell you how I feel. If
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: you don't care how the Democrats feel, if you know
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: what we are, you know what we're going to do.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: I don't care how you feel. I'm asking you a
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: question about why didn't they do it when they were
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: in charge. You're not listening to me.
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: I heard you say you said why didn't they?
- 1:07:44Speaker 31: Yes.
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: When they were totally in charge of race at all.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: The Epstein files weren't created under Trump.
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: Let me ask you a question. Why did you marry
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: your first girlfriend?
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: How do you know I didn't?
- 1:07:57Speaker 8: No.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: Well, let me tell you, they didn't release him, did they,
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: when they were in charge? And as a matter of fact,
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: wait a second, would you not agree, incidentally, Trump has
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: released more than any president of the Epstein files.
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: I'm not talking about Trump.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: I'm talking about it. You brought it up.
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: You don't get any chance to talk about the deficit
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: at $ 40 trillion.
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: I don't want to talk about that. I want to
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: talk about the Epstein files. You brought up the Epstein.
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: So you're telling me if Amy Acton is governor of Ohio,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: we're going to get the Epstein files released? That's nonsense.
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: No, that's not what I'm... No, Ron, you're lying on me.
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: I'm not telling you that. You're not listening. I told you.
- 1:08:35Speaker 15: I listened.
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: We get the House, and we get the Senate.
- 1:08:37Speaker 30: Okay.
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: Now, what does Amy have to do with the House
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: and the Senate?
- 1:08:39Speaker 9: When you were in.
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: Charge of everything, the Senate, the House, and the presidency,
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: why didn't you release all the Epstein files in?
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: I don't think that they knew everything.
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: They were there. What do you mean they didn't know everything?
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: Because in the beginning, Ron, in the beginning, they said
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: the F.C. files was a Democratic thing and was a
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: whole bunch of Democrats trying to cover people.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: Well, there are a lot of Democrats in them.
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: You understand that? Now, OK, I believe if we get
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: the Senate in the House. We will get the Epstein file.
- 1:09:09Speaker 3: And not only that, just like you guys voted.
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: For last time.
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: And I believe you're wrong.
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: I don't want no more wars. No more wars in
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: the Middle East. You guys voted against that, right? You
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: guys voted against the deficit. You guys want the deficit
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: to come down. The deficit is at $ 40 trillion right now, Ron.
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: You guys voted for unemployment. You said unemployment was too high.
- 1:09:30Speaker 3: Unemployment is raising up. You guys voted to go against it.
- 1:09:34Speaker 3: You said the affordability is costing too much gas and
- 1:09:36Speaker 3: everything for everything. You said that. And you guys voted
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: for who you.
- 1:09:40Speaker 9: Wanted to vote for.
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: And I haven't mentioned no names. I haven't mentioned Republicans.
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: I haven't mentioned Democrats. This is an American thing, Ron.
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: These things are American. Whether it's the Epstein files, whether
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: it's the four years.
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: And I'm here to tell you. I'm here to tell you.
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: All right, you make excuses. All right, well, they will
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: dupe you again. They will dupe you again. Goodbye. They
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: will dupe you again. And isn't it interesting? You don't
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: want to answer that question. Why didn't when they were
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: in charge, why didn't they release it all? Oh, because
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: of Democrats. Well, there are a lot of Democrats, as
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: you can see, that were in those files. They incidentally,
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: no one's gone to jail. Their names got out there
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: and they just resigned from their positions that they were in.
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: But they were Democrats. I don't care if they're Democrats
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: or Republicans. If you were engaged as an adult with
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: sex with a minor child, whether that's a female child, obviously,
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: in this case, you should be tried and you should
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: be tried criminally. I don't care if you're Prince Andrew.
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: I don't care if you're Bill Clinton. I don't care
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: who you are. So I'm all about that. But Trump's
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: released more of the Epstein files than anybody. But you
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: think the Democrats are going to do that? Well, why
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: didn't they do it then? Just ask yourself that common
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: sense question. Next call, you're on the air.
- 1:11:01Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:11:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:11:05Speaker 32: Do you think that the mega voters in Alaska are
- 1:11:08Speaker 32: so stupid that they can't read a ballot that says
- 1:11:11Speaker 32: Republican incumbent?
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: Well, again, let me ask you a question. Do you
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: think going out and recruiting a.
- 1:11:17Speaker 3: Guy— Wait, wait, wait.
- 1:11:18Speaker 32: Would you answer my question first?
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it causes confusion because that's the reason
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: they went out and did it. What was the motive
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: for them going out to do it? Can you explain
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: that to me?
- 1:11:30Speaker 32: Well, I don't know.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: I want you to actually think.
- 1:11:34Speaker 32: They can't read it.
- 1:11:35Speaker 6: No, apparently.
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: Then what was the reason for going out and physically
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: recruiting and looking for somebody of the same name to
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: put him on the ballot? Can you explain what the
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: motivation for that would be?
- 1:11:47Speaker 32: You have to confuse the stupid mega voters, I guess.
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: All right. Well, thank you for your honesty. You're on
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: the air. See, the Democrats will defend anything of cheating
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: that they do to try to win an election. They
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: went out and they found somebody with the same name
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: to confuse people to vote. Now they want to tell you, oh,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: people aren't that stupid. Then why did you do that?
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: Go ahead with your comments, please.
- 1:12:13Speaker 31: Hello, Ron.
- 1:12:14Speaker 8: Yes.
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:12:17Speaker 6: Alex was 400% right as far as Democrats are. Forgive me.
- 1:12:26Speaker 6: What's it in for me? And as far as I'm concerned,
- 1:12:33Speaker 6: that GM plant in Lordstown would still be here.
- 1:12:38Speaker 18: The state of.
- 1:12:39Speaker 6: Ohio put off the turnpike entrance and exit for it.
- 1:12:44Speaker 6: You had the waterway. You had the railroads. But if
- 1:12:47Speaker 6: you look at the history of General Motors in Lordstown
- 1:12:51Speaker 6: since late 1965 and 1966 and the trouble that they
- 1:12:55Speaker 6: had out there, when this Mary Barra got there, she
- 1:13:00Speaker 6: couldn't wait to close it.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: That is correct.
- 1:13:04Speaker 6: And I'll give you another thing.
- 1:13:06Speaker 8: Stand by.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: I've got to do my break. And you've got to
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: be quick when I come back. Stay tuned.

- 1:13:34Speaker 29: Certain restrictions apply. Call for details.
- 1:13:43Speaker 23: I'm Dr. Cheryl Figliano with the Centers for Hearing.
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: Back to it. All right. Go ahead. Quickly, sir. So
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: you're saying basically it didn't have much to do with politics,
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: the closing down.
- 1:13:54Speaker 6: Absolutely not. It had to do with the mentality around here.
- 1:13:58Speaker 6: I'll give you a real quick example, Ron. Quick example.
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: I was talking to.
- 1:14:02Speaker 6: A bunch of guys years ago, right? And they knew
- 1:14:06Speaker 6: I worked for the power company, right? Electric. And... They
- 1:14:12Speaker 6: work for General Motors. And I said, what do you do?
- 1:14:15Speaker 6: And they told me, I'm a sweeper. And I said,
- 1:14:17Speaker 6: what do you mean a sweeper? Well, I sweep the floors.
- 1:14:22Speaker 6: And you know what? They were getting paid $ 4 to
- 1:14:27Speaker 6: $ 5 to $ 6 more for sweeping the floors than I
- 1:14:31Speaker 6: was working with high voltage. This is how asinine this was.
- 1:14:37Speaker 6: I mean, it's just.
- 1:14:41Speaker 6: You know, it's just completely ridiculous.
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: Amen to that.
- 1:14:46Speaker 8: Right.
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: And listen, I agree with that. I don't think it
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: was the fault of any Democrat or Republican or any politician.
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: General Motors decided they wanted to move on from that,
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: and that's just how the system is and how it
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: works was their decision. And I agree with your assessment
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: as well.
- 1:15:01Speaker 8: Okay. Thanks, Ron.
- 1:15:02Speaker 6: Thanks for taking my call.
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: Thank you for calling and sharing that. You're on the air.
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: Good call today.
- 1:15:07Speaker 5: Good show today, Ron.
- 1:15:08Speaker 3: Good with Frank LaRose.
- 1:15:09Speaker 8: I sent you an email.
- 1:15:10Speaker 20: I finished the whole state.
- 1:15:12Speaker 33: I can tell all the votes coming in early in
- 1:15:15Speaker 33: all 88 counties.
- 1:15:17Speaker 12: There's a couple phone calls I've got to make to
- 1:15:19Speaker 12: make them get on the stick.
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: But if there's– every night I'm seeing the totals coming back,
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: the ballots and everything.
- 1:15:26Speaker 20: So if something happens weird.
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: On election night, we can find out immediately.
- 1:15:30Speaker 8: I sent you an email.
- 1:15:31Speaker 3: I hope you'll send that over to Frank LaRose. Because
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: I think it could help him in his current and
- 1:15:37Speaker 3: future job.
- 1:15:38Speaker 9: So I appreciate your show.
- 1:15:39Speaker 32: Appreciate you, man.
- 1:15:41Speaker 3: Go do the legal show.
- 1:15:42Speaker 6: All right.
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: Thank you. You're on air.
- 1:15:45Speaker 20: Hello.
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: Quickly, running out of time for this hour.
- 1:15:49Speaker 8: Alaska has ranked choice voting where you rate up people.
- 1:15:54Speaker 8: You like fill in like a.
- 1:15:56Speaker 8: I would test the basic skills where you should be like,
- 1:15:59Speaker 8: you fill in an oval, you rank them from one, two, three, four, five.
- 1:16:02Speaker 8: So it's not like our votes or our ballots here.
- 1:16:05Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: Thank you. News Radio 570 WQE, and you're on the air.
- 1:16:12Speaker 15: Oh, okay.
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: Wait a second here. That's my fault. You're on the air.
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: You're on air. I screwed it all up. All right,
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: we'll pause for the legal show coming up at 5.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: Here's the rundown legal show brought to you by Beecher Scott. Next,
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: from 5 to 6, you got any legal questions or problems,
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: call us. We only take legal calls between 5 and
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: 6 at 330-729-9977. It's Thursday already.
- 1:16:31Speaker 4: 330-729-9977.
- 1:16:31Speaker 7: 330-729-9977.
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: Legal questions, you got them. Call us now. Aviation technicians.
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: are considered.
- 1:16:44Speaker 11: Celebrating 100 years as the Valley's trusted news, weather, and
- 1:16:49Speaker 11: talk station. 570 WKPN.
- 1:16:52Speaker 9: Youngstown.
- 1:17:00Speaker 14: He calls it a sad time for Alaska and a
- 1:17:02Speaker 14: warning for the country.
- 1:17:04Speaker 27: Lisa Brady, Fox News.
- 1:17:05Speaker 14: Governor Mike Dunleavy ordering a renewed investigation into Senate candidate
- 1:17:09Speaker 14: Dan J. Sullivan after allegations of a Democrat plot to
- 1:17:12Speaker 14: recruit him as a spoiler to Senator Dan S. Sullivan's
- 1:17:16Speaker 14: reelection campaign.
- 1:17:17Speaker 22: We're hoping that this investigation leads to answering a whole
- 1:17:21Speaker 22: bunch of questions. And then we'll see what happens after
- 1:17:24Speaker 22: that and what the impact was on this particular election.
- 1:17:27Speaker 14: The Democrat in the race, Mary Peltola, and her campaign
- 1:17:30Speaker 14: deny involvement in a spoiler conspiracy. So does the Senate

- 1:21:52Speaker 8: Hello, David.
- 1:21:53Speaker 33: Hello, Ron.
- 1:21:54Speaker 32: How are you?
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: I am doing well. It's nice to hear your voice.
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: I hope you had a terrific week with zero problems
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: or headaches.
- 1:22:02Speaker 33: I had a lot of problems and a lot of headaches.
- 1:22:05Speaker 33: So Frank Cassis is with me.
- 1:22:07Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:22:08Speaker 33: And Tali Arengia, who happens to be one of the best.
- 1:22:12Speaker 33: domestic relations lawyer in the entire valley.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:22:17Speaker 33: Frank and I had to go down to Tampa because
- 1:22:19Speaker 33: we have a murder trial we're going to do in
- 1:22:22Speaker 33: January to take depositions.
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: In Florida?
- 1:22:26Speaker 18: Yes.
- 1:22:27Speaker 33: And so Florida has some unique rules, and we're allowed
- 1:22:30Speaker 33: to take depositions before trial. So Frank and I took
- 1:22:34Speaker 33: three days off of work, and we learned that the
- 1:22:37Speaker 33: lawyer who said he was going to subpoena these people didn't.
- 1:22:41Speaker 33: So now that falls back upon us to do it because,
- 1:22:45Speaker 33: you know, Tampa lawyers are so much better than us,
- 1:22:49Speaker 33: which they're not. And I just got to tell you
- 1:22:53Speaker 33: a little story about what happened to me last night
- 1:22:55Speaker 33: and Frank at dinner.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: So this is in Tampa. This is in Tampa. Yes.
- 1:23:00Speaker 8: Okay.
- 1:23:01Speaker 33: So we're sitting at dinner, and Frank was whining as
- 1:23:04Speaker 33: usual because he whines when he doesn't get what he wants.
- 1:23:07Speaker 8: Yes.
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: He whines like a five-year-old.
- 1:23:10Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: And he goes, I want to.
- 1:23:11Speaker 33: Go to Ocean Prime. I said, okay, Frank, we'll go
- 1:23:13Speaker 33: to Ocean Prime, no problem. And we're sitting there, and
- 1:23:16Speaker 33: this very nice gentleman leans over to us and says,
- 1:23:21Speaker 33: is Frank your son? You're laughing at that, Talyn? That happened.
- 1:23:33Speaker 33: And I said, I'm old enough to be his father,
- 1:23:37Speaker 33: but I'm not his father. But thank you. He says,
- 1:23:42Speaker 33: you guys look alike. I said, I'm a much uglier version,
- 1:23:45Speaker 33: an older version of Frank.
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:23:49Speaker 33: So that happened.
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: And how did Frank take that? I mean, that had
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: to be devastating.
- 1:23:53Speaker 33: Frank told her, he goes, no, no, no. He's poppy. He,
- 1:23:56Speaker 33: you know. He has frontal dementia. He tells everyone I
- 1:24:00Speaker 33: have dementia.
- 1:24:01Speaker 21: Right.
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: He probably does.
- 1:24:03Speaker 33: He does. He says that.
- 1:24:05Speaker 23: He calls me Poppy.
- 1:24:07Speaker 33: He calls me all kinds of names.
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: When you're done eating, does he grab you by the
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: elbow and act like he's got to walk you to
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: where the car is?
- 1:24:13Speaker 33: Oh, absolutely. He doesn't have a picture of me like that.
- 1:24:19Speaker 23: Ron, you should see the.
- 1:24:23Speaker 38: After he ate, needless to say, one of our lawyers
- 1:24:27Speaker 38: down in Tampa, Aaron, he's a real nice guy, but
- 1:24:30Speaker 38: he just has not spent enough time with David yet.
- 1:24:32Speaker 38: He just doesn't know. But David sat between Aaron and I.
- 1:24:35Speaker 38: We sat up at the bar and ate dinner.
- 1:24:37Speaker 33: There was a splash zone.
- 1:24:39Speaker 38: David ate lobster ravioli.
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 1:24:43Speaker 23: And he had a white shirt on, and he had
- 1:24:45Speaker 23: on light gray pants.
- 1:24:46Speaker 34: And it's no longer white?
- 1:24:48Speaker 23: It was speckled.
- 1:24:48Speaker 8: Hmm.
- 1:24:50Speaker 33: Did you say speckled?
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: So it's almost like taking a young child out to eat, Frank, correct?
- 1:24:57Speaker 23: Yeah, he's Pigpen.
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: He's Pigpen.
- 1:25:00Speaker 33: So we were on the bus to go to the.
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: Airport this morning. Pigpen, that's good, Frank.
- 1:25:06Speaker 33: And so we were the last ones on the bus,
- 1:25:09Speaker 33: and then this woman comes on the bus, and Frank's
- 1:25:13Speaker 33: very smooth. I've got to give Frank credit. He is
- 1:25:18Speaker 33: such a great lawyer. He is so smooth. And he said,
- 1:25:23Speaker 33: two guys stood up and said, hey, you can have
- 1:25:26Speaker 33: my seat and I'll stand up. And she said no.
- 1:25:31Speaker 33: And finally, Frank imposed upon her and said, look, my
- 1:25:35Speaker 33: mother would be mad at me if I was sitting
- 1:25:39Speaker 33: down and you were standing up. Please sit down.
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: My mother would be mad at me.
- 1:25:43Speaker 34: That's just being chivalrous. That's not smooth.
- 1:25:45Speaker 33: No, well, what I did to him wasn't chivalrous. I
- 1:25:48Speaker 33: went and pretended like I got on the phone with
- 1:25:50Speaker 33: his mother. And I says, Patty, how are you? And
- 1:25:53Speaker 33: she goes, I go, oh, that's good. I said, I
- 1:25:56Speaker 33: just want you to know that Frank wouldn't give up
- 1:25:57Speaker 33: his seat for a woman. So I stood up.
- 1:26:00Speaker 23: He did that. He did do that.
- 1:26:02Speaker 34: Did you panic inside?
- 1:26:02Speaker 23: No, I didn't panic. I just, I'm used to it.
- 1:26:04Speaker 23: This is what he does.
- 1:26:05Speaker 38: Okay.
- 1:26:06Speaker 33: And then.
- 1:26:07Speaker 34: You don't have my mom's number, thank God.
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: And then what? And then, and then.
- 1:26:12Speaker 33: Frank, I don't know, I was making fun of your God,
- 1:26:16Speaker 33: your God man. And I said, Frank, some guy says
- 1:26:20Speaker 33: I got your behind. And then the rest of the
- 1:26:23Speaker 33: bus says we got your front. And the guy that
- 1:26:27Speaker 33: said I got your behind was going to Key West
- 1:26:29Speaker 33: to the Fantasy Fest.
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: Oh, okay, I got you.
- 1:26:36Speaker 23: Yeah, that whole explanation. This is what I had to
- 1:26:39Speaker 23: deal with. So we got on the.
- 1:26:41Speaker 38: Plane this morning and usually he films me, but he
- 1:26:44Speaker 38: was so disgruntled getting on the plane because, you know,
- 1:26:48Speaker 38: he had a phone call he had to make and
- 1:26:49Speaker 38: everything was going on. So, I sit one row behind him,
- 1:26:52Speaker 38: and I'm like, hey, David, will you just hold my coffee, please?
- 1:26:56Speaker 33: Hold my coffee. I had to hold his coffee like
- 1:26:58Speaker 33: I'm a servant.
- 1:26:59Speaker 23: I had no one to sit.
- 1:27:00Speaker 33: There was no one sitting next to him.
- 1:27:02Speaker 8: Oh, my God.
- 1:27:02Speaker 33: He couldn't have put the coffee there. I had to
- 1:27:04Speaker 33: hold his coffee.
- 1:27:05Speaker 8: All right.
- 1:27:06Speaker 23: So, anyway, I asked him nicely to hold my coffee.
- 1:27:08Speaker 31: Yes.
- 1:27:08Speaker 23: And he spilled it.
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 1:27:11Speaker 23: Over, dumps it.
- 1:27:13Speaker 38: So then he's looking at the stewardess and saying, I'm
- 1:27:16Speaker 38: really sorry, ma'am.
- 1:27:17Speaker 23: Can I have some paper towels?
- 1:27:18Speaker 33: I cleaned it up.
- 1:27:19Speaker 23: You did.
- 1:27:20Speaker 38: And then all along, he was sitting in the wrong seat.
- 1:27:23Speaker 38: So then another gentleman came, and then he had to move.
- 1:27:25Speaker 33: And then Frank says, that's his dementia acting up.
- 1:27:29Speaker 23: I did.
- 1:27:30Speaker 33: That's what he said.
- 1:27:32Speaker 34: I can start using that, actually, for you.
- 1:27:35Speaker 33: No, you shouldn't start using that for me, actually.
- 1:27:38Speaker 34: Actually, I think I should.
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: Frank, this traveling's got to be exhausting to you.
- 1:27:42Speaker 23: It really is. It's tiring. I do have to tell
- 1:27:45Speaker 23: you what, though. I laugh.
- 1:27:48Speaker 38: They say laughing is very healthy. I laugh a lot.
- 1:27:52Speaker 23: I mean, a lot.
- 1:27:54Speaker 38: Most of the time, the things that I laugh at, Ron,
- 1:27:57Speaker 38: we can only talk about over a beer I can
- 1:27:59Speaker 38: never say on live air.
- 1:28:00Speaker 33: They're all self-deprecating.
- 1:28:02Speaker 24: They are.
- 1:28:03Speaker 23: I'm not saying that.
- 1:28:03Speaker 38: But, I mean, the things– if I wrote a journal–
- 1:28:08Speaker 38: And then when he throws Ace Deuce, wrote a book
- 1:28:12Speaker 38: about him, I would never have to practice another day
- 1:28:15Speaker 38: of law in my life.
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: I would want to read that book. So you're telling
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: me you just give him your cup to hold while
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: you put your bag up or whatever for just a
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: short period of time. No, no. I'm asking frankly.
- 1:28:27Speaker 23: Well, that's true, David.
- 1:28:28Speaker 33: You had to help the woman next to you. Put
- 1:28:31Speaker 33: her bag up.
- 1:28:32Speaker 28: I did.
- 1:28:32Speaker 34: Again, that's being chivalrous. That's not being smooth.
- 1:28:34Speaker 33: But he had an empty seat between them.
- 1:28:36Speaker 38: Yeah, but David, if I would have set the coffee
- 1:28:39Speaker 38: on a seat. it would have spilled all over the seat.
- 1:28:42Speaker 33: There was a little corner you could have put in.
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: You couldn't have held his coffee without spilling it for
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: 30 seconds.
- 1:28:49Speaker 33: I had to put my stuff. My stuff wasn't still up.
- 1:28:52Speaker 33: He thinks I'm his secretary. Here, hold my coffee.
- 1:28:56Speaker 38: You should see this backpack that he travels with. I mean,
- 1:29:00Speaker 38: it looks like he's climbing Mount Everest.
- 1:29:01Speaker 23: You're going to fit me inside of it? I mean,
- 1:29:05Speaker 23: it's a nice bag, but you could put bodies in it.
- 1:29:09Speaker 34: I'm going to hide in it next time you guys
- 1:29:11Speaker 34: want to trip.
- 1:29:12Speaker 38: Dude, it is so funny. We went and worked out
- 1:29:15Speaker 38: at LA Fitness one day.
- 1:29:18Speaker 34: You worked out together?
- 1:29:18Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:29:19Speaker 38: Well, we worked out in the same gym. So Beatrice
- 1:29:24Speaker 38: is getting, you know, and I give it to him.
- 1:29:26Speaker 38: He's an older gentleman, and he's working out. I give
- 1:29:29Speaker 38: it to him. He does his cardio warm-ups, and then
- 1:29:32Speaker 38: he stretches, and then he lifts. But the process to
- 1:29:38Speaker 38: get into the gym is like nothing I've ever seen.
- 1:29:42Speaker 38: He has on his Adidas swishy pants, and he puts
- 1:29:45Speaker 38: knee braces over the pants.
- 1:29:48Speaker 23: Not underneath. I don't know why he does that, but
- 1:29:49Speaker 23: he puts them over the pants. Then he tapes them.
- 1:29:54Speaker 38: And I think he had masking tape because it didn't
- 1:29:56Speaker 38: look like athletic tape.
- 1:29:57Speaker 33: No, it was paper tape.
- 1:29:58Speaker 23: Okay, paper tape. So then he tapes the outside of these.
- 1:30:01Speaker 33: Because the knee braces don't hold.
- 1:30:03Speaker 34: Thank God you're already married, man.
- 1:30:05Speaker 38: And then he puts on his elbow pads, and then
- 1:30:08Speaker 38: he rubs some balm on his hands and arms. I
- 1:30:11Speaker 38: don't know what that's for. And then he goes out,
- 1:30:14Speaker 38: and he lifts. I got to tell you, I was
- 1:30:16Speaker 38: watching him work out from a distance, of course. I
- 1:30:18Speaker 38: didn't want anyone to know I was there with him.
- 1:30:20Speaker 38: But I was watching him, and he was working hard.
- 1:30:23Speaker 38: But the process, Ron, is incredible. And, you know, Tampa
- 1:30:27Speaker 38: could be very ritzy at times.
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:30:29Speaker 23: There's a lot of money down there.
- 1:30:31Speaker 38: And the beautiful thing about David is he is unapologetically
- 1:30:35Speaker 38: Dave Beatrice. So when he walked in that gym, he
- 1:30:39Speaker 38: had his rucksack. He had his pants taped. He had
- 1:30:43Speaker 38: his knee braces and his elbow pads on, and he
- 1:30:45Speaker 38: had his ear pods in.
- 1:30:47Speaker 23: And he just was walking around.
- 1:30:49Speaker 38: And I don't know if they thought that a homeless
- 1:30:51Speaker 38: guy came in or if this guy was there to
- 1:30:53Speaker 38: work out.
- 1:30:54Speaker 34: God bless Pam. Thank God you were married.
- 1:30:56Speaker 23: It was a beautiful thing to watch, I have to
- 1:30:58Speaker 23: tell you.
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: It really was.
- 1:30:59Speaker 8: You know what?
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: You failed at, Frank. You had to snap a picture
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: of that to give it to Melfi.
- 1:31:03Speaker 33: Oh, please.
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: Melfi for the calendar.
- 1:31:05Speaker 33: You think he failed?
- 1:31:06Speaker 23: I got it.
- 1:31:07Speaker 7: Oh, yes.
- 1:31:08Speaker 33: I had to take a client's call. From the Hillsborough
- 1:31:12Speaker 33: County Jail. Now, what I had to go through to
- 1:31:15Speaker 33: get this call was nothing short. It was easier to
- 1:31:20Speaker 33: get a clear pass, TSA clearance, than it was to
- 1:31:24Speaker 33: get clearance to be able to take a private call
- 1:31:27Speaker 33: from a client from the Hillsborough County Jail.
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: On a plane, or where were you taking a call at?
- 1:31:35Speaker 23: At Fred's Breakfast Place in Plant City, Tampa.
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: Plant City.
- 1:31:38Speaker 23: Plant City, whatever.
- 1:31:40Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:31:41Speaker 33: Anyways, you had to go through a lot. And there's
- 1:31:45Speaker 33: a local connection to the Hillsborough County Sheriff from Youngstown, Ohio.
- 1:31:50Speaker 33: Eddie DeBartolo Jr. 's daughter married the sheriff of the
- 1:31:54Speaker 33: Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. What I had to go through,
- 1:31:58Speaker 33: I mean, it was rough to get set up with
- 1:32:02Speaker 33: a private call with our client so he could FaceTime
- 1:32:06Speaker 33: me and it'd be private. It was rough. But we
- 1:32:09Speaker 33: did it. And Frank says, why are you sitting over there?
- 1:32:14Speaker 33: Why do you have a leg up? I said, Frank,
- 1:32:17Speaker 33: there's no one over here. I don't want anyone to
- 1:32:19Speaker 33: hear my conversation with my client. He snapped a picture
- 1:32:22Speaker 33: of me.
- 1:32:24Speaker 23: But that's not– I didn't get the good one.
- 1:32:26Speaker 38: He was leaning on a telephone pole at one point
- 1:32:28Speaker 38: by the street doing it, and he didn't care whether who.
- 1:32:32Speaker 23: Heard the conversation.
- 1:32:33Speaker 33: There was no one around me.
- 1:32:34Speaker 38: He didn't want Brian Kopp to hear the conversation.
- 1:32:37Speaker 23: That's why he.
- 1:32:39Speaker 38: Was over there, because he didn't want to get yelled
- 1:32:43Speaker 38: at for something.
- 1:32:44Speaker 33: Because according to Brian, everyone has– Everyone has eagle ears, okay,
- 1:32:54Speaker 33: and they can hear things from 100 miles away. There
- 1:32:57Speaker 33: wasn't anyone within 50 yards of me.
- 1:33:00Speaker 23: No, there wasn't. Yeah, it was.
- 1:33:06Speaker 33: So we have to go back down now to these depositions.
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: Oh, Frank. Oh, my God.
- 1:33:11Speaker 23: But listen, I've got the travel part with him. I've
- 1:33:15Speaker 23: got it down pat.
- 1:33:16Speaker 38: Now, I was a little unhappy because we flew out
- 1:33:19Speaker 38: of Cleveland, and it's just way easier to fly out
- 1:33:21Speaker 38: of Pittsburgh. But I picked him up along the way.
- 1:33:25Speaker 38: But this keeps happening, Ron, and this is why I
- 1:33:27Speaker 38: talk about, you know, I don't know. It's just getting
- 1:33:30Speaker 38: a little bit older, the memory thing. But he doesn't
- 1:33:32Speaker 38: remember his garage code when I bring him home.
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: Ever.
- 1:33:36Speaker 38: And he tries to tell me Pam changes it. I'm like,
- 1:33:38Speaker 38: why does she change it every week?
- 1:33:39Speaker 34: He just loves you so much he wants to stay
- 1:33:41Speaker 34: with you.
- 1:33:42Speaker 23: No, no, no, no, no.
- 1:33:42Speaker 33: Did I get into my garage?
- 1:33:45Speaker 23: Yeah, but how'd you do it?
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: I opened up my car.
- 1:33:48Speaker 23: And hit the button.
- 1:33:49Speaker 33: And hit the button.
- 1:33:50Speaker 23: Did you remember the code?
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: Did you remember the code?
- 1:33:53Speaker 33: I thought the code was, and she may have changed it.
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: It did not. She didn't change it.
- 1:33:59Speaker 33: But, you know, someone said to me, because I put
- 1:34:02Speaker 33: on Facebook that Frank and I were going to Tampa.
- 1:34:05Speaker 33: Someone texts me a text message and says, you shouldn't
- 1:34:08Speaker 33: do that because people know your home is open. And
- 1:34:11Speaker 33: I go, have you ever seen my home? It looks
- 1:34:14Speaker 33: like Fort Knox. I got cameras and lights everywhere. I mean,
- 1:34:20Speaker 33: you walk on my garage. There's a big floodlight with cameras.
- 1:34:26Speaker 23: You know, I have the same thing, and I have a.
- 1:34:28Speaker 23: 100-pound Doberman.
- 1:34:29Speaker 33: Yeah, I have banned it.
- 1:34:30Speaker 38: But nevertheless, my wife loves it when Beatrice goes live
- 1:34:35Speaker 38: when me and him are out of town and tells
- 1:34:36Speaker 38: the whole world that she's home.
- 1:34:38Speaker 33: You have Roscoe. No one would come near your house.
- 1:34:42Speaker 23: You're right.
- 1:34:44Speaker 33: He's got a Doberman that looks ominous.
- 1:34:47Speaker 23: He's a great dog, though.
- 1:34:51Speaker 33: If you just look at that dog and hear his bark,
- 1:34:53Speaker 33: you ain't going anywhere near his house.
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: I agree.
- 1:34:56Speaker 8: Okay.
- 1:34:57Speaker 33: You ain't going anywhere near Frank Cassis' house. My house
- 1:35:02Speaker 33: looks like Fort Knox. I have lights that light up
- 1:35:05Speaker 33: that are motion detected. Did that come after you got
- 1:35:10Speaker 33: pipe bombed? No, that was after the FBI told me
- 1:35:13Speaker 33: that someone was trying to kill me, and they wouldn't
- 1:35:16Speaker 33: tell me who.
- 1:35:17Speaker 23: How about that message, Ron? Attorney Beatrice, we have credible information.
- 1:35:23Speaker 22: No, no, no.
- 1:35:23Speaker 33: They said we picked up on a Title III article.
- 1:35:26Speaker 33: intercept that someone's trying to kill you and i said
- 1:35:30Speaker 33: to the great federal bureau of investigations well who is
- 1:35:34Speaker 33: that and they go well we can't tell you that
- 1:35:36Speaker 33: i go why are you even my office telling me
- 1:35:39Speaker 33: this like who am i supposed to look out for
- 1:35:41Speaker 33: my dry cleaner my neighbor my client like who's supposed
- 1:35:46Speaker 33: to be telling me that and and here's the irony
- 1:35:50Speaker 33: of it all you want to know the irony of
- 1:35:51Speaker 33: all that yes The guy that was trying to kill me,
- 1:35:55Speaker 33: I found out who it was. I saw him in
- 1:35:58Speaker 33: a bar, and I said, were you trying to kill me?
- 1:36:00Speaker 33: And he says, no, I actually saved your life. The
- 1:36:03Speaker 33: guy I was with was trying to kill you, and
- 1:36:05Speaker 33: I said, we can't kill him. He's bouncing his son
- 1:36:09Speaker 33: up and down on his green chair on the ottoman,
- 1:36:12Speaker 33: which means they were standing outside my window. Yes, out
- 1:36:16Speaker 33: the alley. Watching me, he goes, how about we just
- 1:36:19Speaker 33: put a bomb on his front door?
- 1:36:20Speaker 39: I feel so safe right now, sitting next to you.
- 1:36:25Speaker 33: That isn't even the pipe bomb incident.
- 1:36:27Speaker 34: Oh, I'm well aware of that one.
- 1:36:28Speaker 23: People that want to kill him, just go to a
- 1:36:29Speaker 23: bar with him.
- 1:36:31Speaker 34: Been there, done that.
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: You just go out.
- 1:36:35Speaker 33: And have a drink.
- 1:36:36Speaker 23: Wait about a half hour.
- 1:36:37Speaker 33: And someone will come in and say something insulting to me.
- 1:36:43Speaker 34: I don't have to do that. I just have to
- 1:36:44Speaker 34: walk into a courtroom.
- 1:36:46Speaker 38: No, yeah, but that's just like a legitimate people that wouldn't.
- 1:36:51Speaker 23: Oh, God.
- 1:36:52Speaker 33: Go ahead. Say what you're going to say, Frank.
- 1:36:54Speaker 23: No, I'm just. What was it the time you called
- 1:36:57Speaker 23: me and he called me up?
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: He goes, you won't believe this.
- 1:37:00Speaker 23: He said, what happened?
- 1:37:01Speaker 38: He goes, I'm just sitting here minding my own business,
- 1:37:05Speaker 38: you know, having a bite to eat for lunch. Some
- 1:37:07Speaker 38: guy comes right up to me and says, hey, you're
- 1:37:10Speaker 38: Dave Beatrice.
- 1:37:11Speaker 7: Yes, I am.
- 1:37:11Speaker 23: He goes, I hate your guts. He goes, well. I
- 1:37:14Speaker 23: don't care. I don't like you either.
- 1:37:16Speaker 38: I'd like to pummel you right here in this bar.
- 1:37:22Speaker 23: I go, David, did you leave? He goes, no, I stayed.
- 1:37:25Speaker 23: I finished my lunch. And then I was waiting until
- 1:37:27Speaker 23: I was good and ready to leave. And I left then.
- 1:37:29Speaker 34: It's like toddlers. Like, I don't like you either. That's
- 1:37:32Speaker 34: what that's like.
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: There's a lot of hate.
- 1:37:35Speaker 34: But that just means he's good at his job.
- 1:37:37Speaker 23: So it's fine.
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: Oh, good God, Dave.
- 1:37:41Speaker 34: I covered for them the other day.
- 1:37:43Speaker 39: At a court case, and I literally had to tell him,
- 1:37:45Speaker 39: he's like, wow, that court, they're really harsh on Beatrice.
- 1:37:48Speaker 39: And I said, that just means he's good.
- 1:37:50Speaker 34: He's good at what he does.
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: It's fine. Well, that is true. I mean, when it
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: comes to what he does, he is the best. There's
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: no doubt about that, Frank. Do we have any calls, Ron? Yes,
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: we do. Yes, we do. Do you want to take some?
- 1:38:03Speaker 33: Absolutely.
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: All right. Here we go. With our attorneys from Beatrice Copp,
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: you're on the air.
- 1:38:08Speaker 3: Hello.
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: Your question, please.
- 1:38:12Speaker 8: Is it me?
- 1:38:12Speaker 20: Yes, sir.
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: Go ahead, please. What's your question?
- 1:38:14Speaker 19: Oh, my name's Jim. I'm over here in PA. This
- 1:38:19Speaker 19: is about mileage on a car. In 2011, I purchased
- 1:38:23Speaker 19: a 2009 vehicle. Um, it was in good shape.
- 1:38:31Speaker 3: I liked it.
- 1:38:32Speaker 19: It had like 30,000 miles on it. So I purchased
- 1:38:36Speaker 19: it and I still have it today. And, uh, in
- 1:38:42Speaker 19: February this year, I had some problems with it. And, um,
- 1:38:47Speaker 19: which led me to go to an auto parts store
- 1:38:50Speaker 19: and get the code read. So I didn't take a
- 1:38:55Speaker 19: whole lot of that, but I did use that and
- 1:38:57Speaker 19: fix the car, so it was fine. And I'm looking
- 1:39:00Speaker 19: at the paperwork for them reading the code, and it
- 1:39:04Speaker 19: said my car had over 205,000 miles on it. And
- 1:39:10Speaker 19: the odometer in the car I know at that time
- 1:39:13Speaker 19: was probably less than 150,000. So I thought about it
- 1:39:19Speaker 19: for a while. One thing I did not do was
- 1:39:22Speaker 19: write down the mileage on my first visit. So I
- 1:39:25Speaker 19: went back, I had the code read again, and I
- 1:39:29Speaker 19: wrote down the odometer mileage also. And the computer said
- 1:39:36Speaker 19: the car had 213,000 miles on it, and.
- 1:39:42Speaker 19: The odometer said it had 164,000 miles on it.
- 1:39:47Speaker 1: And your question is?
- 1:39:49Speaker 19: There's a big difference here. I bought a car with
- 1:39:53Speaker 19: 30,000 miles on it, or so I thought.
- 1:39:55Speaker 8: In reality, it had 70,000.
- 1:39:58Speaker 1: Here's your small problem. Listen to this.
- 1:40:02Speaker 33: You bought the car in 2011. And when did you
- 1:40:07Speaker 33: find out that the odometer may not be accurate?
- 1:40:12Speaker 19: This year, 26.
- 1:40:15Speaker 33: So 15 years later, you find out that the odometer.
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: May not be accurate. Is that accurate? Yes or no, Colin, yes.
- 1:40:26Speaker 7: Yes.
- 1:40:27Speaker 33: Okay, so I don't think any court would hear that case.
- 1:40:32Speaker 33: Any statute has run by then.
- 1:40:35Speaker 23: Okay.
- 1:40:37Speaker 1: You're out of luck. Yep, it's been too long.
- 1:40:40Speaker 23: Sorry.
- 1:40:41Speaker 33: I mean, it's been 15 years.
- 1:40:43Speaker 1: Thank you for your call. Wish that wasn't the case.
- 1:40:45Speaker 1: But you're on the air with our attorneys tonight.
- 1:40:47Speaker 3: Hello.
- 1:40:49Speaker 18: A 90-year-old neighbor. Thanks for taking my call first, attorneys,
- 1:40:52Speaker 18: and you're on. My 90-year-old neighbor ended up in a
- 1:40:56Speaker 18: nursing home because he fell in his kitchen and broke
- 1:40:58Speaker 18: his leg. Eight months later, he still can't put pressure
- 1:41:02Speaker 18: on his leg, and he asked for a second opinion
- 1:41:06Speaker 18: in the nursing home if he could go to another doctor.
- 1:41:09Speaker 18: and get a second opinion, and he says they keep
- 1:41:11Speaker 18: telling him, oh, we'll try, we're checking on it. Well,
- 1:41:14Speaker 18: you're too old, you're 90, you know, they wouldn't want
- 1:41:18Speaker 18: to do another surgery. Is there anything he could do
- 1:41:21Speaker 18: to make them, give them a second opinion?
- 1:41:25Speaker 33: Well, he can ask for a second opinion. There's nothing
- 1:41:29Speaker 33: wrong with that. But at 90 years old, he's lived
- 1:41:36Speaker 33: way past the, United States government's tables for the life
- 1:41:43Speaker 33: expectancy of a male.
- 1:41:45Speaker 18: Okay. So they push him around in a wheelchair and
- 1:41:52Speaker 18: take him out of the bed. He just said he
- 1:41:57Speaker 18: just thought he would be able to at least go
- 1:41:59Speaker 18: to another doctor and get a check.
- 1:42:00Speaker 23: Yeah, he can get a second opinion all he wants.
- 1:42:04Speaker 33: But at 90 years old, God bless him. He's outlived the–
- 1:42:09Speaker 33: I think the table for the average American male is
- 1:42:13Speaker 33: either 72 or 74. So he's got 16-plus years.
- 1:42:18Speaker 1: But is he– he's asking you to get a second
- 1:42:21Speaker 1: opinion and a nursing home won't let him get one?
- 1:42:23Speaker 1: Is that what you're saying?
- 1:42:24Speaker 34: Entitled to one, yes.
- 1:42:26Speaker 33: He's entitled to one, and you could sign him out
- 1:42:29Speaker 33: of the nursing home and take him and get him
- 1:42:31Speaker 33: a second opinion.
- 1:42:31Speaker 31: Mm-hmm.
- 1:42:33Speaker 8: Okay.
- 1:42:34Speaker 18: Okay.
- 1:42:34Speaker 1: All right. Thank you very much.
- 1:42:36Speaker 33: Thank you.
- 1:42:37Speaker 1: Back with our attorneys. Segment two in just a minute.
- 1:42:40Speaker 1: News Radio 570 WKVN. A to Z dependable services. Plumbing, septic, heating, cooling,
- 1:42:46Speaker 1: and one-day baths. Pretty quiet ride on the highways. You
- 1:42:49Speaker 1: will be furnished by the program participants.
- 1:42:52Speaker 11: Now, Ron Verb on NewsRadio 570 WKBN.
- 1:42:58Speaker 1: This is the longest running legal show on radio. Brought
- 1:43:01Speaker 1: to you by Beatrice Kopp on NewsRadio 570 WKBN. Legal questions, 330-729-9977.
- 1:43:05Speaker 4: 330-729-9977.
- 1:43:05Speaker 1: If you want to get on board, I have a
- 1:43:06Speaker 1: couple lines in Youngstown open for legal questions for attorneys tonight.
- 1:43:10Speaker 39: 330-729-9977.
- 1:43:10Speaker 1: We go back to our attorneys. Ann, you want to
- 1:43:12Speaker 1: take some more calls?
- 1:43:22Speaker 33: Yes, Frank had to leave because he had Enzo and Sonny,
- 1:43:26Speaker 33: or Santino here, and he was taking them to the
- 1:43:30Speaker 33: WWE event in the Covelli Center. So Frank's no longer
- 1:43:35Speaker 33: with us, so I can talk about him now. He
- 1:43:38Speaker 33: was a horrible traveling companion. Made fun of me the
- 1:43:41Speaker 33: entire time.
- 1:43:42Speaker 39: I think you stressed him out because I'm almost positive
- 1:43:45Speaker 39: I saw gray hair from across the table.
- 1:43:47Speaker 33: You didn't see a gray hair on that coif.
- 1:43:49Speaker 34: I'm almost positive I did.
- 1:43:51Speaker 1: I kept looking at it.
- 1:43:52Speaker 33: No, no, no. How would you like to be sitting
- 1:43:53Speaker 33: next to Frank at dinner, and some guy leans over
- 1:43:56Speaker 33: and goes, is this your son?
- 1:43:58Speaker 1: Okay? How would you like that? Well, you should be proud.
- 1:44:00Speaker 34: Yeah, don't you call him, like, pretty boy or something?
- 1:44:03Speaker 34: So you should be honored.
- 1:44:04Speaker 33: I am very proud of Frank. Frank is one of
- 1:44:08Speaker 33: the best defense lawyers and litigators you can have.
- 1:44:13Speaker 34: I've learned a lot from Frank.
- 1:44:14Speaker 33: Tally is... Tally trained under Mark DeVecchio. So if you
- 1:44:20Speaker 33: like Mark DeVecchio for judge, you'll love Tally as your
- 1:44:24Speaker 33: domestic relations lawyer.
- 1:44:26Speaker 34: We're actually really annoying when we work together.
- 1:44:27Speaker 39: It happened again today because I've been with him for, like, what,
- 1:44:30Speaker 39: a year and a half now?
- 1:44:31Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:44:32Speaker 39: And I take lead now in all of our consults
- 1:44:35Speaker 39: and stuff, and he interrupted.
- 1:44:37Speaker 34: He goes, oh, no, no, I'm sorry.
- 1:44:38Speaker 7: Go ahead.
- 1:44:38Speaker 34: I said, no, go ahead. I said, and he gave
- 1:44:41Speaker 34: the advice. I looked at him.
- 1:44:42Speaker 39: I said, that's exactly what I was going to say.
- 1:44:44Speaker 39: So we're finishing each other's sentences, and We're really annoying
- 1:44:47Speaker 39: at this point.
- 1:44:48Speaker 33: That's good. The election will be over soon, and Mark
- 1:44:52Speaker 33: can start doing the show with us again. And he
- 1:44:56Speaker 33: and Tally are going to be doing the show on
- 1:44:57Speaker 33: November 19th. I'm glad to announce, Ron, that we're going
- 1:45:01Speaker 33: to have Judge Rusu here, the probate judge of Mahoney County.
- 1:45:06Speaker 33: I said Rusu.
- 1:45:08Speaker 20: It's not Ruso?
- 1:45:08Speaker 34: No, it's Rusu.
- 1:45:10Speaker 1: Oh, I'm sorry.
- 1:45:11Speaker 23: My bad, Rusu.
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: You are bad.
- 1:45:13Speaker 3: I am bad.
- 1:45:13Speaker 20: I apologize.
- 1:45:13Speaker 33: It's Judge Rusu. He's going to be doing the show
- 1:45:16Speaker 33: with us on November 19th. And you're going to have,
- 1:45:20Speaker 33: I think Mark's going to win that race, even though
- 1:45:23Speaker 33: he's of the opposite political.
- 1:45:24Speaker 1: Party of me. Knock on wood.
- 1:45:27Speaker 33: Knock on wood. I think Mark will be our next
- 1:45:30Speaker 33: domestic relations judge. So you'll have the opportunity to hear
- 1:45:34Speaker 33: two judges in the same show. And Tally and I
- 1:45:39Speaker 33: and Mark and Judge Russo will be here doing the show.
- 1:45:45Speaker 33: It'll be a good time.
- 1:45:47Speaker 1: There you go. All right. You're on the air with
- 1:45:49Speaker 1: our attorneys tonight.
- 1:45:50Speaker 6: Hello.
- 1:45:53Speaker 26: Are you talking to me?
- 1:45:53Speaker 1: Yes, sir. Go ahead, please.
- 1:45:55Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 1:45:56Speaker 26: I got a question on my father's estate. He died
- 1:46:01Speaker 26: at 93. He built a house in 1962, and he
- 1:46:04Speaker 26: has approximately $ 25, 000 invested in the house when he built it.
- 1:46:10Speaker 26: and now it's worth over $ 400, 000, what kind of capital
- 1:46:13Speaker 26: gains tax will be involved in this?
- 1:46:16Speaker 33: Well, luckily for you on houses, usually you don't have capital.
- 1:46:20Speaker 33: I mean, you have capital gains taxes, but you get
- 1:46:24Speaker 33: the stepped-up basis if he left it to you in
- 1:46:27Speaker 33: a will.
- 1:46:29Speaker 26: It is in a will between my brother and myself.
- 1:46:32Speaker 33: So you will get the present-day value of the house.
- 1:46:36Speaker 33: So if the house today is worth $ 425, 000, Your basis
- 1:46:41Speaker 33: is going to be $ 425, 000, so you'll have very little
- 1:46:44Speaker 33: capital gains tax to pay. God bless your father.
- 1:46:48Speaker 26: Yeah, he led a good life, you know, and he
- 1:46:51Speaker 26: took good care of his home. They appreciate him.
- 1:46:53Speaker 6: And value him.
- 1:46:55Speaker 26: So even though he just asked the question in a
- 1:46:58Speaker 26: different form because I want to make sure I get
- 1:47:00Speaker 26: it right, he built a house in 66, what he paid,
- 1:47:03Speaker 26: what he invested in building it, and there's very little
- 1:47:06Speaker 26: tax on it. Like my income tax when we get
- 1:47:10Speaker 26: it or his tax?
- 1:47:13Speaker 2: No.
- 1:47:14Speaker 1: If he left it.
- 1:47:15Speaker 33: To you in the will, you get the stepped-up basis. Now,
- 1:47:18Speaker 33: the basis is the value of the property current day.
- 1:47:25Speaker 33: So if you sell it for $ 425, 000 and it's worth $ 425, 000,
- 1:47:26Speaker 33: you have zero taxes to pay.
- 1:47:34Speaker 1: But if you sell it for more than whatever that is,
- 1:47:37Speaker 1: that's a different story. Yeah, it's a different story.
- 1:47:40Speaker 26: It's based on tax value of the house and whatever
- 1:47:42Speaker 26: the real estate tax value, property tax value.
- 1:47:45Speaker 17: Okay, that was my question.
- 1:47:47Speaker 26: I mean, he died in July. Another quick question, it
- 1:47:51Speaker 26: would be, we haven't filed the will yet, and he
- 1:47:55Speaker 26: died in July. Is there a time limit that?
- 1:48:01Speaker 33: I would hire a lawyer to probate the will.
- 1:48:04Speaker 7: That's correct.
- 1:48:04Speaker 26: We definitely are. We're going to do that, yeah.
- 1:48:07Speaker 5: Good.
- 1:48:08Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:48:08Speaker 26: Sounds like you're taking all the right steps.
- 1:48:10Speaker 6: Get the ball rolling, right?
- 1:48:12Speaker 33: Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:48:15Speaker 3: Okay, well, thank you.
- 1:48:16Speaker 26: I appreciate your answer, and that wasn't what i expected
- 1:48:19Speaker 26: i thought we're gonna have to pay tax on the
- 1:48:21Speaker 26: difference between what it's worth now than what he built
- 1:48:24Speaker 26: you know but.
- 1:48:25Speaker 39: Sometimes we're able to make people's day so i'm glad
- 1:48:28Speaker 39: it was good news for you all.
- 1:48:29Speaker 26: Right thank you really did well thank you bye-bye.
- 1:48:31Speaker 1: All right with attorneys from beatrice cop you're on the
- 1:48:34Speaker 1: air Yeah, Dave.
- 1:48:36Speaker 36: I've got an issue. I live in the city, and
- 1:48:39Speaker 36: probably a half a street or so away, I have
- 1:48:43Speaker 36: a neighbor that has a, I call him, mini farm.
- 1:48:46Speaker 36: He's got some animals in there. He's raising chickens, and
- 1:48:50Speaker 36: he's concerned in free range. Well, they're coming through the
- 1:48:54Speaker 36: neighbor's yards, coming across the street, coming through my yard,
- 1:48:57Speaker 36: almost over another street, and I want to know what
- 1:49:01Speaker 36: I could do to get something done about it.
- 1:49:04Speaker 33: Well, I don't know if he's allowed to raise free-range
- 1:49:09Speaker 33: chickens in the city. You'd have to check and call
- 1:49:13Speaker 33: the city zoning department and find that out.
- 1:49:15Speaker 36: All right, he's not in the city. He's in the township.
- 1:49:19Speaker 36: The line is right at his property line.
- 1:49:22Speaker 1: Which township?
- 1:49:24Speaker 2: Hubbard.
- 1:49:26Speaker 33: So I would call Hubbard and find out about free-range chickens.
- 1:49:31Speaker 24: Okay.
- 1:49:32Speaker 36: I'm trying not to cause any disturbance. I've got two
- 1:49:35Speaker 36: single women that live across the street from me. It's
- 1:49:38Speaker 36: been a real hassle for them.
- 1:49:40Speaker 1: What's the problem with chickens?
- 1:49:42Speaker 34: Chickens usually bring, like, other animals, like rats.
- 1:49:46Speaker 1: Well, he just says it's their feces, right, caller?
- 1:49:51Speaker 6: Oh, no, everything.
- 1:49:52Speaker 36: Pulling flowers up, kicking everybody's mulch out, just running around
- 1:49:55Speaker 36: all over the place. You know, I'd probably spend an
- 1:49:58Speaker 36: hour today chasing them out of the yard with their
- 1:50:00Speaker 36: own gas cans at them empty.
- 1:50:02Speaker 1: How many chickens are you talking?
- 1:50:04Speaker 36: There's probably five or six plus the rooster. I mean,
- 1:50:10Speaker 36: it just gets to be a problem after a while.
- 1:50:14Speaker 33: I would definitely call the zoning department and find out
- 1:50:20Speaker 33: whether he's allowed to raise free-range chickens and whether they're
- 1:50:25Speaker 33: allowed to come into your yard and your neighbor's yard
- 1:50:27Speaker 33: and pick the flowers.
- 1:50:29Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:50:29Speaker 22: Right.
- 1:50:30Speaker 33: The squeaky wheel gets the grease in that situation, okay?
- 1:50:34Speaker 36: Yeah, it's just stepping into crap, and, you know, you
- 1:50:36Speaker 36: end up tearing in the house, and you don't know it,
- 1:50:39Speaker 36: you know.
- 1:50:40Speaker 2: Okay, thanks.
- 1:50:40Speaker 36: I'll check them zoning in. Have a good one.
- 1:50:43Speaker 24: Thank you.
- 1:50:43Speaker 3: Good luck.
- 1:50:44Speaker 33: All right.
- 1:50:44Speaker 1: You're on the air with our attorneys tonight from Beatrice Kopp.
- 1:50:47Speaker 1: Hello there. Hi.
- 1:50:49Speaker 12: Thank you for.
- 1:50:50Speaker 1: Taking my call.
- 1:50:52Speaker 25: I have a question about drones and privacy rights. The
- 1:50:56Speaker 25: other day, my husband was working in the garage. and
- 1:51:01Speaker 25: he thought he heard like a small motorcycle or something,
- 1:51:04Speaker 25: and he just kind of peeked out, and there was
- 1:51:06Speaker 25: a drone flying relatively low, scanning our backyard. And as
- 1:51:11Speaker 25: soon as he stepped out all of the way and
- 1:51:13Speaker 25: it saw him, it went up higher in the sky
- 1:51:17Speaker 25: and took off. It went over the tree line to
- 1:51:21Speaker 25: where there's a house back, and then it quickly descended
- 1:51:26Speaker 25: as if it was landing over there. So we're just
- 1:51:29Speaker 25: wondering if... You know, if we knock this thing out
- 1:51:32Speaker 25: of the sky, are we liable or what can be
- 1:51:37Speaker 25: done about it?
- 1:51:41Speaker 1: That is a great question. That's interesting. That is a
- 1:51:43Speaker 1: great question.
- 1:51:44Speaker 34: I don't know if that's technically.
- 1:51:46Speaker 33: I don't know if that's technically.
- 1:51:49Speaker 34: Trespass or not. Trespassing or invasion.
- 1:51:56Speaker 33: Let me think about this a second. So you have
- 1:52:01Speaker 33: a neighbor that is flying a drone. How do you
- 1:52:09Speaker 33: know they're filming you?
- 1:52:13Speaker 17: Well, we don't.
- 1:52:14Speaker 25: But as soon as I saw my husband, it took
- 1:52:17Speaker 25: off very quickly.
- 1:52:18Speaker 1: It's flying low.
- 1:52:21Speaker 25: I don't think it was like Google Earth, how they
- 1:52:24Speaker 25: go over and take pictures, because they don't usually fly
- 1:52:27Speaker 25: this low.
- 1:52:28Speaker 39: Is it a fenced backyard or unfenced?
- 1:52:32Speaker 31: Unfenced.
- 1:52:33Speaker 25: We have like four or five acres.
- 1:52:36Speaker 2: It's unfenced.
- 1:52:38Speaker 34: I think it would be helpful if you actually knew
- 1:52:39Speaker 34: it was recording.
- 1:52:40Speaker 37: You or not.
- 1:52:42Speaker 1: I honestly don't. I don't believe you can knock that
- 1:52:46Speaker 1: out of the sky.
- 1:52:48Speaker 34: No, I don't think you can shoot it or knock
- 1:52:49Speaker 34: it down. It's not your property.
- 1:52:51Speaker 39: I mean, the best you can do is you can
- 1:52:53Speaker 39: record it on your phone when it happens again, document it.
- 1:52:56Speaker 39: how many times it happens, all the things, and report
- 1:52:58Speaker 39: it to the police and see if they'll do anything
- 1:53:01Speaker 39: about it.
- 1:53:01Speaker 1: Well, I don't think you could shoot the drone out
- 1:53:04Speaker 1: of the sky.
- 1:53:05Speaker 26: Yeah, you can't do that.
- 1:53:06Speaker 1: That's for sure. That would be a thing.
- 1:53:07Speaker 34: Well, that's not their property, so.
- 1:53:13Speaker 1: I was just to email nothing the police can do
- 1:53:15Speaker 1: about it either.
- 1:53:16Speaker 33: If it's operated in a manner that knowingly endangers people
- 1:53:20Speaker 33: or properly or purposely disregards the rights of your safety,
- 1:53:24Speaker 33: you could probably file a complaint. If it's flying in
- 1:53:28Speaker 33: your windows and committing voyeurism, that's against the law. But
- 1:53:36Speaker 33: if it's being used to harass you, that would probably
- 1:53:39Speaker 33: be against the law. But simply flying over your house
- 1:53:43Speaker 33: and videoing it, there's probably nothing you could do about it.
- 1:53:45Speaker 39: But if it's multiple times and you're documenting it, then
- 1:53:49Speaker 39: we could maybe harassment or trespass or invasion of privacy.
- 1:53:52Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:53:53Speaker 34: But I would at least film it and document it.
- 1:53:56Speaker 34: And start there and see.
- 1:53:57Speaker 12: How many times it happens.
- 1:53:58Speaker 25: Do they have the license to fly these things?
- 1:54:02Speaker 33: Well, that's governed by the FAA, okay? And so generally
- 1:54:08Speaker 33: flying over someone's house is not illegal. However, repeatedly flying
- 1:54:13Speaker 33: over your house is being used to harass or intimidate
- 1:54:17Speaker 33: you can lead to a cause of action. Filming you
- 1:54:21Speaker 33: through your windows or spying could lead to Ohio's voyeurism law.
- 1:54:25Speaker 34: Or if it's failing on private property.
- 1:54:27Speaker 33: Flying dangerously close to your house or family prohibits a
- 1:54:30Speaker 33: drone in a manner that knowingly endangers people. Ohio enacted
- 1:54:35Speaker 33: new restrictions effective October 6th under Ohio Revised Code 4561.61.
- 1:54:44Speaker 33: Police generally, if it's the police drone, they generally need
- 1:54:48Speaker 33: a warrant. You cannot... shoot it down. I mean, if
- 1:54:57Speaker 33: you could find your neighbor that's doing it and warn them,
- 1:54:59Speaker 33: that would help you. But other than that.
- 1:55:05Speaker 25: Would the FAA have a record of when somebody is
- 1:55:08Speaker 25: flying their drone?
- 1:55:11Speaker 8: No.
- 1:55:12Speaker 33: So the law always drags behind the technology.
- 1:55:16Speaker 34: Okay.
- 1:55:19Speaker 1: Well, thank you very much.
- 1:55:21Speaker 9: You greatly appreciate your time.
- 1:55:23Speaker 33: Until enough people complain, that's when the law is generally changed.
- 1:55:28Speaker 33: But the law always lags behind the technology.
- 1:55:33Speaker 1: So don't be out there nude sunbathing, you hear?
- 1:55:37Speaker 25: Well, at my age, that might be exactly what keeps
- 1:55:41Speaker 25: him from coming back.
- 1:55:42Speaker 1: Well, that might be a tactic. Yeah, you might be
- 1:55:44Speaker 1: able to do that. Come to think of it, that
- 1:55:45Speaker 1: might be the solution. Thanks for adding that, Ron. Thanks
- 1:55:48Speaker 1: for your call.
- 1:55:49Speaker 3: All right. Thank you.
- 1:55:51Speaker 2: Bye-bye.
- 1:55:52Speaker 1: There you go. You're welcome, Tali. Caller, next call, please,
- 1:55:56Speaker 1: on The Legal Show, courtesy of Beatrice Cobb. You're on
- 1:55:58Speaker 1: the air.
- 1:56:01Speaker 10: Hello?
- 1:56:02Speaker 5: Caller?
- 1:56:03Speaker 2: Go ahead.
- 1:56:04Speaker 7: Hello?
- 1:56:09Speaker 1: Yes, go ahead. What's your question? You've got to speak
- 1:56:16Speaker 1: into your phone. We're having a hard time hearing you.
- 1:56:18Speaker 1: Don't listen to the radio. Just listen on the phone.
- 1:56:21Speaker 1: Speak nice and clear.
- 1:56:21Speaker 40: Can you hear me now?
- 1:56:22Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:56:23Speaker 1: What's your question?
- 1:56:23Speaker 33: Okay.
- 1:56:24Speaker 40: I had a question about protection orders, and my son
- 1:56:30Speaker 40: filed for one. And the other person got an attorney.
- 1:56:36Speaker 40: So I was just wondering if he should have an
- 1:56:38Speaker 40: attorney when he goes in for the.
- 1:56:42Speaker 4: Hearing.
- 1:56:43Speaker 34: I have a question for you. Yeah.
- 1:56:47Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:56:48Speaker 39: When you go and you need stitches, okay, you can
- 1:56:51Speaker 39: do it yourself or you could go to someone who's
- 1:56:53Speaker 39: trained and, you know, knows how to do stitches and
- 1:56:56Speaker 39: has that knowledge.
- 1:56:57Speaker 34: You can go to a doctor. So it's kind of
- 1:56:59Speaker 34: like that.
- 1:56:59Speaker 39: And not only that, but you have someone else who
- 1:57:02Speaker 39: is represented, and you're pro se not having an attorney
- 1:57:06Speaker 39: walking in there. I always suggest having an attorney just
- 1:57:09Speaker 39: so they can explain all your rights, what you can do,
- 1:57:12Speaker 39: what you can't do, what you can expect, how you
- 1:57:14Speaker 39: should testify, how you shouldn't testify.
- 1:57:16Speaker 34: Yes, I.
- 1:57:19Speaker 39: Would consider definitely hiring an attorney, and we do do
- 1:57:23Speaker 39: that here at Beatrice Cobb.
- 1:57:24Speaker 34: Dave and I both do, actually.
- 1:57:26Speaker 7: Okay.
- 1:57:27Speaker 33: All right.
- 1:57:28Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 1:57:29Speaker 23: Best of luck.
- 1:57:30Speaker 1: Thank you. With our attorneys tonight, you're on the air.
- 1:57:34Speaker 3: Hello.
- 1:57:36Speaker 5: Hello.
- 1:57:36Speaker 1: Yes, go ahead, please.
- 1:57:38Speaker 5: Oh, I have a question about malpractice. Is that something
- 1:57:45Speaker 5: they do?
- 1:57:45Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:57:46Speaker 33: Absolutely.
- 1:57:47Speaker 1: How can I help you?
- 1:57:48Speaker 15: Go ahead.
- 1:57:48Speaker 8: Okay.
- 1:57:49Speaker 5: Here's my question. I'll make a long story short. I
- 1:57:52Speaker 5: had a nodule on my lung.
- 1:57:55Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:57:56Speaker 5: And I asked the surgeon, because I had to go
- 1:57:59Speaker 5: to the cancer doctor, the surgeon, and all that different stuff.
- 1:58:02Speaker 5: And I asked the surgeon, so what goes on? And
- 1:58:05Speaker 5: he said, okay, we're going to put two holes in
- 1:58:08Speaker 5: you and the side we're going to put one for
- 1:58:11Speaker 5: drainage and put one for the instrument to go in
- 1:58:16Speaker 5: and he said we go in and we more or
- 1:58:20Speaker 5: less grab or whatever the nodule or poke it and
- 1:58:25Speaker 5: they get a sample and he said within 10 or
- 1:58:27Speaker 5: 15 minutes the I'll know if it's cancerous. And I said, okay,
- 1:58:31Speaker 5: so what do you do then? And he said, well,
- 1:58:33Speaker 5: if it's not cancerous, most times we just close up.
- 1:58:36Speaker 15: And you're done.
- 1:58:37Speaker 19: I said, okay.
- 1:58:38Speaker 5: And he said, if it is cancerous, we remove it,
- 1:58:42Speaker 5: we close up, and we're done.
- 1:58:46Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:58:47Speaker 5: And I said, okay. So after I had, well, when
- 1:58:51Speaker 5: I had the surgery... Well, you know how you're doped
- 1:58:55Speaker 5: up and stuff after surgery, so half of what the
- 1:58:58Speaker 5: doc says you don't understand anyways.
- 1:59:01Speaker 3: But they told me they took my.
- 1:59:05Speaker 5: It was on my right lung in the upper part,
- 1:59:09Speaker 5: and he said, you know, we removed the nodule, and
- 1:59:12Speaker 5: we also removed the upper lobe of your lung. And
- 1:59:16Speaker 5: after they removed it, it's like every day, in the
- 1:59:21Speaker 5: morning especially... coughing up all kinds of phlegm and stuff.
- 1:59:27Speaker 5: And I know I should be a little shorter of
- 1:59:29Speaker 5: breath because I'm losing the lobe. So I started looking,
- 1:59:32Speaker 5: and this was just a couple, three weeks ago because
- 1:59:35Speaker 5: of a doctor that I talked to, or I'm not
- 1:59:38Speaker 5: going to mention his name because I don't.
- 1:59:39Speaker 20: Want to mention.
- 1:59:42Speaker 5: He said, why did they take your lobe? And I said, well,
- 1:59:47Speaker 5: apparently it was cancerous. And he said, you have an
- 1:59:51Speaker 5: oncology report, don't you? And I said, yes, I do.
- 1:59:54Speaker 5: So I came home and I read it. The lobe
- 1:59:58Speaker 5: had no cancer in it. And they took the nodule
- 2:00:03Speaker 5: and they took my whole lobe.
- 2:00:04Speaker 33: I can't tell you whether that's malpractice or not. A
- 2:00:07Speaker 33: doctor would have to tell me whether that's malpractice or not.
- 2:00:11Speaker 33: Doctors set the standards for doctors, not lawyers.
- 2:00:16Speaker 5: No, no, that's why I'm calling, because I don't know
- 2:00:19Speaker 5: what to.
- 2:00:20Speaker 21: Do, because I don't know if they took the lobe,
- 2:00:24Speaker 21: assuming maybe it had cancer in it too, and then
- 2:00:27Speaker 21: they took the lobe out, and they tested it, and
- 2:00:31Speaker 21: I went down through the oncology report, and everything was
- 2:00:33Speaker 21: negative except the nodules.
- 2:00:36Speaker 6: Okay.
- 2:00:38Speaker 33: Whether or not you have a case would depend on
- 2:00:43Speaker 33: whether or not someone looking at your medical records would
- 2:00:47Speaker 33: say that the doctor that performed the surgery fell below
- 2:00:51Speaker 33: a standard of care. I don't know the answer to that.
- 2:00:55Speaker 33: Only another doctor would know the answer to that. But
- 2:00:58Speaker 33: even assuming that's the case, you're alive?
- 2:01:03Speaker 5: Yes, I'm alive.
- 2:01:06Speaker 33: Your life is not materially affected?
- 2:01:09Speaker 4: No.
- 2:01:11Speaker 5: And then do a little bit with the breathing and that,
- 2:01:13Speaker 5: like I said.
- 2:01:14Speaker 1: Yeah, but to bring a malpractice.
- 2:01:17Speaker 33: Case, we have a standard.
- 2:01:19Speaker 5: No, I'm thankful that they found the cancer.
- 2:01:21Speaker 1: Sir, listen to the attorney for a minute. Stop talking.
- 2:01:24Speaker 33: We have a standard in our office. You either have
- 2:01:26Speaker 33: to be dead or permanently injured for the case to
- 2:01:28Speaker 33: be worth bringing because it's very expensive to bring a
- 2:01:33Speaker 33: medical malpractice case. Look, these doctors, not every surgery is perfect.
- 2:01:40Speaker 33: but that doesn't mean they fell below a standard of care.
- 2:01:44Speaker 33: And even if they fell below a standard of care,
- 2:01:47Speaker 33: not every case where there's below a standard of care
- 2:01:51Speaker 33: leads to a malpractice case.
- 2:01:53Speaker 1: Correct.
- 2:01:55Speaker 33: You have to be damaged substantially to bring it.
- 2:01:59Speaker 5: Okay, so the results I got of the lobe also
- 2:02:05Speaker 5: might have indicated to the doctor it would be best
- 2:02:08Speaker 5: to take it then is what you're saying? You know,
- 2:02:10Speaker 5: I mean, as cruel as this is, as nice as
- 2:02:15Speaker 5: it sounds, I should say, I don't want to burn
- 2:02:19Speaker 5: any doctor or anything because I'm so thankful I'm alive.
- 2:02:22Speaker 5: But I didn't know if something happened that he just
- 2:02:27Speaker 5: took the lobe anyways, you know, when he took the
- 2:02:29Speaker 5: nodule off.
- 2:02:31Speaker 39: I don't think in being married to a surgeon, so
- 2:02:33Speaker 39: I'm going to preface that, but I don't think surgeons
- 2:02:36Speaker 39: take things out usually just for the fun of it. Um,
- 2:02:39Speaker 39: I'm just hearing my husband speak. If he sees something
- 2:02:42Speaker 39: concerning and he is concerned enough, he would go ahead
- 2:02:45Speaker 39: and probably take that out rather than opening you up
- 2:02:48Speaker 39: twice since you're already on the table. And thank God
- 2:02:52Speaker 39: it came back negative. But if it does look concerning
- 2:02:54Speaker 39: to the surgeon, they might take it out. But Dave
- 2:02:57Speaker 39: and I really can't even give you a. yes or no,
- 2:03:00Speaker 39: you might have a malpractice suit without reading your medical records.
- 2:03:05Speaker 33: And having a doctor review your medical records, and that
- 2:03:08Speaker 33: could be costly in and of itself.
- 2:03:10Speaker 39: If you don't have a permanent injury or you're not deceased,
- 2:03:14Speaker 39: it's probably not worth your time.
- 2:03:17Speaker 2: Okay.
- 2:03:18Speaker 3: Thank you so much.
- 2:03:19Speaker 5: You guys are so informative. I love this show.
- 2:03:23Speaker 1: Thank you very much.
- 2:03:24Speaker 34: That's very sweet of you.
- 2:03:25Speaker 1: All right. Thanks for your call. We appreciate it. You're
- 2:03:28Speaker 1: on the air.
- 2:03:28Speaker 3: Hello.
- 2:03:30Speaker 7: Hello?
- 2:03:30Speaker 1: Yes, what's your question?
- 2:03:32Speaker 33: Were Dave Beatrice's rights violated by the Trumbull.
- 2:03:37Speaker 6: County government, his constitutional rights?
- 2:03:41Speaker 8: No.
- 2:03:42Speaker 1: There you go. The answer's no. All right, Dave, tomorrow morning,
- 2:03:45Speaker 1: WFMJ Today, what do you got going on?
- 2:03:47Speaker 33: I'm going to be talking about what happens to you
- 2:03:49Speaker 33: at Halloween and people that are registered sex offenders, whether
- 2:03:55Speaker 33: they can engage in Halloween. And can you be held
- 2:03:59Speaker 33: liable for anything on your property for Halloween? So everything Halloween-related,
- 2:04:05Speaker 33: join me, 6.40 tomorrow morning on WFMJ Today.
- 2:04:10Speaker 1: I'm going to go out. I'm dressing up this year
- 2:04:12Speaker 1: as the world's greatest attorney. So I'll be dressing up
- 2:04:14Speaker 1: as Frank Cassis going door-to-door in my neighborhood.
- 2:04:17Speaker 33: Well, that's good. You go out as Frank Cassis.
- 2:04:19Speaker 2: Wow.
- 2:04:19Speaker 1: What do you say? You've got to be the world's
- 2:04:22Speaker 1: best attorney. You're Frank Cassis.
- 2:04:24Speaker 33: Yeah, he is. He's one of the best.
- 2:04:26Speaker 24: He is.
- 2:04:26Speaker 33: Tali's one of the best. We only hire the best here.
- 2:04:29Speaker 25: Right.
- 2:04:30Speaker 1: And so maybe you can go and you can be
- 2:04:32Speaker 1: Frank Cassis' father with me, Dave, when we're trick-or-treating. Yeah,
- 2:04:35Speaker 1: that's right.
- 2:04:35Speaker 34: Oh, how wonderful.
- 2:04:36Speaker 33: That's nice.
- 2:04:37Speaker 1: There'd be some quality time we could spend together. Thank you, David.
- 2:04:41Speaker 1: Thank you, Tali.
- 2:04:42Speaker 31: Bye.
- 2:04:42Speaker 19: Appreciate it.
