- 0:02Speaker 1: Raised for Friday, No craps, Enter d Off Strippling.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Yeah, what's up, Strip.
- 0:09Speaker 3: What's up guy? Good to be back man, first time
- 0:12Speaker 3: at twenty twenty six. Let's do it.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Let's do it. Dude.
- 0:15Speaker 4: What have you been up to? Do you miss it
- 0:17Speaker 4: at all? You're having fun living a new life.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 0:20Speaker 3: I miss all the stuff that you know, anybody misses,
- 0:23Speaker 3: even twenty years later, just being around the guys, being
- 0:25Speaker 3: in the locker room, all that kind of stuff. For sure.
- 0:28Speaker 3: You guys saw two of my kids in the pre show.
- 0:30Speaker 3: I got three of them, three boys, So they're keeping
- 0:32Speaker 3: me plenty busy, kind of keeping the real world at
- 0:34Speaker 3: bay here for a little bit where I can pop
- 0:36Speaker 3: in and do things like this with you guys as
- 0:38Speaker 3: I try and decide do I stay in the game,
- 0:40Speaker 3: and if I do in what aspect? A year into retirement,
- 0:44Speaker 3: still don't know anything more than I did a year ago.
- 0:46Speaker 3: But I'm doing good, man. It's it's fun doing stuff
- 0:48Speaker 3: like this, talking ball. It's good to be back.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Nice, it's good to see you, dude. Yeah. Looking at
- 0:52Speaker 1: some accolades for Strip.
- 0:54Speaker 4: Nice long career and a lot of guys that you're
- 0:57Speaker 4: buddies with that are still kicking it in the big league.
- 1:00Speaker 4: So I want to get your thoughts throughout good guest
- 1:02Speaker 4: list today, So let's jump right to it.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Let's charge.
- 1:13Speaker 4: All right, some fans are gonna complain, but we're hitting
- 1:15Speaker 4: the NL East again. Why we're gonna start with the
- 1:17Speaker 4: positive side of things. Jared Richie debuts for the Braves
- 1:20Speaker 4: and the first pitch didn't go well for him. That
- 1:23Speaker 4: was turned into a James woodhome run. But then the
- 1:26Speaker 4: rest worked out quite well for mister Richie in a
- 1:29Speaker 4: win for one of the best looking teams in baseball
- 1:32Speaker 4: right now, the Atlanta Braves. It's funny, Todd Father, if
- 1:34Speaker 4: I told you the Atlanta Braves have a ton of
- 1:37Speaker 4: pitching injuries and Ronald Luacunya and Austin Riley are off
- 1:41Speaker 4: to slow starts, you'd be like the Braves are in
- 1:46Speaker 4: trouble instead.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Yeah, Richie's one of the better prospects in the sport.
- 1:49Speaker 4: I think Baseball America had them ranked seventy three or
- 1:52Speaker 4: something like that. Seven strong innings for him, and the
- 1:56Speaker 4: pitching coach, Jeremy Hefner for the Braves is loving life
- 1:58Speaker 4: right now.
- 1:59Speaker 1: As he came over the Mets.
- 2:00Speaker 4: Mets fired him, and the Braves are thriving, they're in
- 2:02Speaker 4: first place. The Phillies are mess right now, and the
- 2:05Speaker 4: Mets now have won a couple in a row. But
- 2:07Speaker 4: what do you think about Atlanta?
- 2:08Speaker 5: Yeah, that's that's what I was going to get to,
- 2:10Speaker 5: Like you would think if this is kind of opportunity
- 2:12Speaker 5: that the Braves have, they'd be in the Mets and
- 2:14Speaker 5: Philly shoes right now. But you know, I think it's fantastic.
- 2:18Speaker 5: You know, with Chris Sale at the Helm, these guys
- 2:20Speaker 5: they're playing together. They got two of their big guns
- 2:23Speaker 5: that aren't really doing much. That goes to showing you,
- 2:26Speaker 5: shows you a sign of a good team in my opinion.
- 2:28Speaker 5: And when they eventually do well, yeah, somebody else is
- 2:31Speaker 5: going to trickle down and you know the numbers are
- 2:33Speaker 5: going to come back to where they need to be.
- 2:35Speaker 5: But you know, ultimately, let's start with Jered Richie. Fantastic.
- 2:39Speaker 5: He could have folded like a tent first pitch homer
- 2:42Speaker 5: in the Big League that was like, okay, welcome to
- 2:45Speaker 5: the show. And then he went seven innings and uh,
- 2:49Speaker 5: you know, got the win, gave up another home run,
- 2:52Speaker 5: you know, which was another pitch that was left over
- 2:55Speaker 5: the plate, a little change up.
- 2:56Speaker 2: He looked great. His off speed look great.
- 2:58Speaker 5: His fastball, you know, not overpowering, but zoning picking out spots.
- 3:03Speaker 5: I know Strip can talk more about that, but at
- 3:05Speaker 5: the same token, fantastic. This is the guy you want
- 3:08Speaker 5: on your squad. He looked impressive. He didn't get down
- 3:11Speaker 5: on himself after the first pitch of the game. He
- 3:13Speaker 5: was stoic, and you know, for first outing he should
- 3:17Speaker 5: be excited for these next four.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Days to kind of breathe a little bit.
- 3:21Speaker 5: And I know Harris was the guy that got injured
- 3:24Speaker 5: rounding second base going the third, so we'll see how
- 3:27Speaker 5: that goes. But the Braves are winning right now, and
- 3:30Speaker 5: they're winning at the right time because the Phillies stink,
- 3:33Speaker 5: the Mets stink, and they're finding ways to get up
- 3:36Speaker 5: higher in the rankings.
- 3:37Speaker 2: And good for them.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Yeah, what do you think, Strip, It's more the same
- 3:41Speaker 3: from the Braves, man. I mean depth getting tested here early,
- 3:44Speaker 3: and each guy just keeps stepping up. You know, I
- 3:47Speaker 3: saw they haven't lost the series yet. They're seven to
- 3:49Speaker 3: zero to one to start their twenty twenty six campaign.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Haven't lost a series, And like you said, Todd, I
- 3:54Speaker 3: mean just creating space between the Mets and the Phillies,
- 3:57Speaker 3: the two teams that were supposed to compete at the
- 3:59Speaker 3: top of that division, and all of a sudden they're
- 4:01Speaker 3: down there at nine and sixteen, eight and seventeen, below
- 4:03Speaker 3: the Colorado Rockies and the wild Cards. So you know,
- 4:06Speaker 3: kudos to the Braves man for creating space and the
- 4:08Speaker 3: standings here early, giving themselves a little cushion when they're
- 4:11Speaker 3: not fully healthy. And it's it's been impressive.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Man.
- 4:13Speaker 3: I don't think this was on anybody's radar. We knew
- 4:15Speaker 3: they were talented. You know, they're not that far removed
- 4:17Speaker 3: from like a World Series run and some really good teams.
- 4:20Speaker 3: But have you know, tooking a step back last year?
- 4:22Speaker 3: Will they're back to the Atlanta Braves that were used
- 4:24Speaker 3: to and then don't. I don't see them slowing down.
- 4:26Speaker 3: I think they're here and they're for real.
- 4:28Speaker 5: Yeah, And I think ultimately, like if you people are like, oh,
- 4:32Speaker 5: it's nine and a half games, Philly Mets, eight and
- 4:35Speaker 5: a half nine, that is a heck of a ton
- 4:37Speaker 5: of games to come back, there's got to be a
- 4:39Speaker 5: lot of good things that happen. Sure, can they come back?
- 4:41Speaker 5: It's only twenty five games, you know, into the season.
- 4:45Speaker 5: But understand something, a lot of things gotta go right
- 4:49Speaker 5: and got to go their way. They need to eventually
- 4:51Speaker 5: break off with like a ten and two or you know,
- 4:55Speaker 5: fifteen and.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Four kind of run to get back in the mix
- 4:57Speaker 2: of things.
- 4:58Speaker 5: And it's going to be very hard with how these
- 5:00Speaker 5: are and all the pickups that a lot of these
- 5:02Speaker 5: teams got because there was a lot of movement this offseason.
- 5:06Speaker 5: A lot of teams were not afraid to buy, and Scotty,
- 5:08Speaker 5: We've talked about this numerous times.
- 5:10Speaker 2: So you know, this is the Nationals, Mets and Phillies.
- 5:14Speaker 2: You guys are way out of whack here, So.
- 5:18Speaker 5: Keep on fighting. We'll see what happens. But yeah, ultimately
- 5:20Speaker 5: that is a lot of games.
- 5:22Speaker 4: Yeah, Spencer Strider's working his way back too, and looked
- 5:25Speaker 4: good the other day in a rehab assignment and he
- 5:27Speaker 4: was playing catch with Sean Murphy. Murphy was his catcher.
- 5:31Speaker 4: So we're gonna let those two coming back at some point.
- 5:33Speaker 4: Hasan Kim was an offseason signing for them. He'll come
- 5:35Speaker 4: back at some point. They're going to eventually be pretty deep.
- 5:38Speaker 4: You know, most of these injuries are not full season injuries,
- 5:41Speaker 4: so they're going to eventually be in a pretty good
- 5:43Speaker 4: spot where they're gonna have a lot of depth. I mean,
- 5:45Speaker 4: you look at this lineup right now, strip if you're
- 5:48Speaker 4: trying to navigate things. I mentioned Acuna is still Akunyi,
- 5:51Speaker 4: He's just not at the MVP level right now. In
- 5:54Speaker 4: the first few weeks of the season with the production,
- 5:56Speaker 4: Drake Baldwin is the rookie of the year from last year.
- 6:00Speaker 4: He's been insane. Matt Olsen's off to a super super
- 6:03Speaker 4: hot start. Albes looks much much better than he did
- 6:05Speaker 4: last year.
- 6:06Speaker 1: So does Harris.
- 6:07Speaker 4: Those two guys last year in the first half of
- 6:09Speaker 4: the season were super super uncharacteristic from what we had
- 6:12Speaker 4: seen in the past. They both rebounded a little bit,
- 6:14Speaker 4: especially Harris in the second half when he made some changes.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Tom Smith has been a nice pickup for them.
- 6:19Speaker 4: I mean, you go down this whole lineup, there's really
- 6:21Speaker 4: not much that you're concerned about right now. It's like
- 6:24Speaker 4: the two guys that are starting slow, you know that
- 6:26Speaker 4: are going to come around. Mikestremski a little bit of
- 6:28Speaker 4: a slow start in a new spot. I think he'll
- 6:30Speaker 4: be fine, and then du Bond's been great for them
- 6:33Speaker 4: as a pickup that can play everywhere for now, mostly
- 6:35Speaker 4: playing shortstop, but eventually when King comes back, he can
- 6:38Speaker 4: go everywhere. So you got to really like this team
- 6:40Speaker 4: position player wise, and they can probably add an armor
- 6:43Speaker 4: to at the deadline. Hey see, geeks got the code
- 6:50Speaker 4: still running for everyone that is Territory ten for ten
- 6:54Speaker 4: percent off of any tickets with that promo code. So
- 6:57Speaker 4: let's have a look at the weekend for a couple
- 6:59Speaker 4: of minutes. Here some matchups that we like. Todd Father,
- 7:02Speaker 4: I'm looking at Saturday if we're looking from a pitching perspective.
- 7:06Speaker 4: So first off, Yankees just swept the Red Sox. Boston's
- 7:09Speaker 4: got to get going too. Man, Boston's nine and sixteen.
- 7:13Speaker 4: I know it's early, but the A least is going
- 7:14Speaker 4: to be very competitive. And this is a divisional matchup Saturday.
- 7:18Speaker 4: Crochet with a seven eight eighty RA going up against
- 7:21Speaker 4: Trevor Rodgers.
- 7:22Speaker 1: That's a good one.
- 7:23Speaker 2: That's very good.
- 7:23Speaker 1: I would get a ticket for that, bad boy.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Listen to the ticket.
- 7:26Speaker 5: Well, I don't like flying too much, but I like
- 7:28Speaker 5: to I'll go to LA and see the Cubs versus Dodgers.
- 7:30Speaker 5: I mean that seems like a fantastic bout. And I
- 7:34Speaker 5: said it about back and forth action. I think I'm
- 7:38Speaker 5: gonna get on that flight.
- 7:39Speaker 4: Okay, I would also I'd fly down to Atlanta see
- 7:41Speaker 4: Wheeler Wheelers from Georgia make his debut.
- 7:45Speaker 1: That's a good one there.
- 7:46Speaker 4: So you've also got the Pirates and Brewers matching up
- 7:49Speaker 4: this weekend and the Pirates playing pretty well. Of course,
- 7:52Speaker 4: Milwaukee has the Miz on Saturday, going up against Mitch Keller.
- 7:55Speaker 4: So yeah, a lot of good names to check out.
- 7:58Speaker 4: Seki can hook you up with a little bit of
- 8:01Speaker 4: help too, So the code for you again is Territory
- 8:04Speaker 4: one zero. That's for ten percent off any tickets at
- 8:08Speaker 4: seat geek. Go get the app right now and make
- 8:11Speaker 4: sure you click the link of the description to download
- 8:13Speaker 4: it and have the code automatically added to your account
- 8:16Speaker 4: so you can use it later.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Thank you to seat Geek.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Well, there's just no get up. There's no letup, right,
- 8:24Speaker 3: I mean, it's you got your Strimski down there, probably
- 8:27Speaker 3: in the nine hole as a righty killer. I've faced
- 8:29Speaker 3: him plenty of times and been his teammate as well.
- 8:31Speaker 3: He hammers change ups and I would still throw it
- 8:33Speaker 3: to him for some reason, he would still hammer it.
- 8:35Speaker 3: So you got guys like that getting on base at
- 8:37Speaker 3: the bottom of the lineup and then turn it over
- 8:39Speaker 3: to the acunyas in the Albis of the world, and
- 8:42Speaker 3: you're just like, man, there's there's nowhere where I can
- 8:45Speaker 3: you know, get take my foot off the accelerator a
- 8:48Speaker 3: little bit and maybe get a free out, you know.
- 8:50Speaker 3: And anytime you're facing a lineup that's deep one through nine,
- 8:53Speaker 3: you know you got a tall task ahead of you.
- 8:54Speaker 3: And that's that's their lineup right now. Like Dom Smith,
- 8:56Speaker 3: what you said, just an amazing pickup, probably a non
- 8:58Speaker 3: roster invite you if I were to remember, and makes
- 9:01Speaker 3: the team and is you know, like a nine hundred
- 9:03Speaker 3: plus ops guy to start the season. It's just they're
- 9:06Speaker 3: all they're firing on all cylinders, man. So if you're
- 9:07Speaker 3: a pitcher, you got to be on your a game.
- 9:10Speaker 1: So let's get to the other side.
- 9:12Speaker 4: So this weekend it's the Phillies and Braves matching up,
- 9:15Speaker 4: and there's some highlights. I mean, you get to see
- 9:18Speaker 4: Andrew Painter, who's only several starts into his career. But
- 9:21Speaker 4: then Zach Wheeler makes his season debut, on Saturday. Chris
- 9:25Speaker 4: Sale is going to pitch for Atlanta on Sunday. What
- 9:28Speaker 4: are you thinking about Philadelphia right now?
- 9:31Speaker 5: Well, I'm thinking chrispher Sanchez. What is going on right?
- 9:34Speaker 5: I think? You know, you look at the numbers. He's
- 9:36Speaker 5: averaging or giving up nine hits for his last four games,
- 9:41Speaker 5: kind of look flat. I watched a little bit of
- 9:42Speaker 5: that game yesterday, Summon. The curveball looked a little flat.
- 9:45Speaker 5: To change up fastball got hit around a little bit.
- 9:48Speaker 5: And listen, pitchers are like hitters. They all go through
- 9:52Speaker 5: little funks. Do I think he'll be fine? Yes, But
- 9:55Speaker 5: ultimately you only play every fifth day, so it's got
- 9:58Speaker 5: to be wearing on you a little bit. That's the
- 10:00Speaker 5: difference between hitting and pitching, because we can come back
- 10:02Speaker 5: the next day. As Strip understands too. But yeah, I
- 10:08Speaker 5: like that Wheelers coming back. I think he's gonna help tremendously.
- 10:12Speaker 5: I saw his outing. I saw a couple of highlights
- 10:14Speaker 5: of his The curveball was looking good. Swerper said it
- 10:17Speaker 5: best yesterday after He's like, listen, if we're gonna put
- 10:19Speaker 5: up runs like this and battle like this, ultimately we're
- 10:23Speaker 5: gonna be just fine.
- 10:24Speaker 2: But you know, that's one game they got. They got
- 10:27Speaker 2: to keep this going.
- 10:28Speaker 5: They have a lot of veteran presence which need to
- 10:31Speaker 5: step up a little bit and turn this thing around.
- 10:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I would agree. I mean, I just I think
- 10:37Speaker 3: if you're talking Phillies and Mets, you know, I just
- 10:41Speaker 3: would bet on the Phillies experience and their playoff kind
- 10:45Speaker 3: of tenure over the last few years as far as
- 10:47Speaker 3: being able to turn this thing around. The Mets, for
- 10:49Speaker 3: all the talent they have, they just feel like they
- 10:51Speaker 3: have a hard time staying in a straight line, moving
- 10:52Speaker 3: in the right direction.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Right.
- 10:53Speaker 3: You go get Bisht, you go get Simeon, and it
- 10:56Speaker 3: just seems like they're always just kind of like going
- 10:58Speaker 3: on these streaks. Versus the Phillies would be the one
- 11:00Speaker 3: I would bet on. The one thing that you mentioned,
- 11:02Speaker 3: Todd that worries me is there're already so much space
- 11:04Speaker 3: between the top there. Well, the Nationals and the Marlins
- 11:07Speaker 3: are in the middle of them, and they're playing okay.
- 11:09Speaker 3: So it's not like the Rockies where the Padres and
- 11:11Speaker 3: the Dodgers are going to beat up on them and
- 11:13Speaker 3: that's going to be ten wins throughout the year. I
- 11:15Speaker 3: think the Marlins and the Nationals are going to play
- 11:17Speaker 3: those guys tight and play them well so that those
- 11:20Speaker 3: aren't just like W's that can check off the calendar
- 11:22Speaker 3: saying we're going to catch up to the Braves here.
- 11:23Speaker 3: You know, they got to, like you said, they got
- 11:25Speaker 3: to go on a streak and beat good teams and
- 11:26Speaker 3: get back to playing good Phillies, good Mets baseball. They're
- 11:29Speaker 3: going to catch up to the Atlanta.
- 11:31Speaker 2: You know.
- 11:31Speaker 4: With Philly, it's not even like they're dealing with so
- 11:35Speaker 4: many injuries to their position player group. I know Duran's
- 11:37Speaker 4: out right now of the ninth inning. Real Muto just
- 11:40Speaker 4: went down the other day, although it sounds like it'll
- 11:42Speaker 4: just be the minimum stay for him, and then Wheeler's
- 11:44Speaker 4: working his way back.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Not much else.
- 11:47Speaker 4: There's a few teams you look at where you go Houston,
- 11:51Speaker 4: tons of injuries. You're missing half the rotation if you
- 11:54Speaker 4: want to try and make an excuse when you're being
- 11:56Speaker 4: a prognosticator. Okay, With Philly, I mean you look the lineup.
- 12:00Speaker 4: Most of the guys are going to see there the
- 12:01Speaker 4: entire year. It's just not doing much. And the rookie
- 12:04Speaker 4: Rayce jumps into the cleanup spot after one game.
- 12:08Speaker 1: In his big league career. Right.
- 12:10Speaker 4: They tried to mix it up the other day they
- 12:11Speaker 4: put Schwarburn left fields at Wrigley, you know, not as
- 12:14Speaker 4: much field to deal with. But that didn't work for
- 12:16Speaker 4: them either. So the lineup is kind of stale right now.
- 12:20Speaker 5: Yeah, and I think, you know, ultimately I'm going back
- 12:26Speaker 5: and forth a little bit. But with Philly, I think,
- 12:28Speaker 5: you know, the issue is, I said this before, they're
- 12:32Speaker 5: playing against teams that added. They had so many additions,
- 12:35Speaker 5: these teams, three or four guys that have either been
- 12:37Speaker 5: there before or that can pitch. Pitching has been tremendous
- 12:41Speaker 5: from all these teams. And guess what when these teams
- 12:44Speaker 5: like the Cubs, who are you know, good team. You know,
- 12:47Speaker 5: you play the Pirates, you play these teams where all
- 12:49Speaker 5: a laxa da, the Nationals, the Marlins, they are coming
- 12:52Speaker 5: to play you know, strips at best. These teams have
- 12:54Speaker 5: acquisitions that can play the game of baseball. Now you
- 12:57Speaker 5: look on the flip side of the Mets. So the
- 13:00Speaker 5: other day I'm watching a little bit before the game.
- 13:02Speaker 5: They've got guys playing positions that they've never played before.
- 13:06Speaker 5: We're just stick this guy here. Well, again, what happened
- 13:08Speaker 5: to is trying to sign back Pete Alonzo. Why are
- 13:11Speaker 5: you trading Brandon Demo? Jeff McNeil, He's still it can
- 13:14Speaker 5: be a two seventy five, three hundred hitter. They got
- 13:17Speaker 5: guys Edwin Diaz, you know you didn't find a way
- 13:19Speaker 5: to get him. They blamed it all on these guys
- 13:22Speaker 5: for not getting them back to the promised land. Oh
- 13:25Speaker 5: it's stale. It's the same all. It's gonna be the
- 13:27Speaker 5: same thing. They're really good.
- 13:28Speaker 2: Players and they are missing them tremendously right now.
- 13:32Speaker 4: Yeah, we've talked a lot about them this week, and
- 13:35Speaker 4: they did pick up back to back wins.
- 13:37Speaker 1: It wasn't pretty yesterday, but.
- 13:41Speaker 5: I was after my little league game. We go, we
- 13:43Speaker 5: go to a new restaurant down the street. Tommy's yeah,
- 13:46Speaker 5: and Pac tause we got you know, basketball, we got baseball,
- 13:49Speaker 5: we got the draft, and my son's watch. He's like, yeah,
- 13:52Speaker 5: we'll get this out. Boom, grand slam and you hear
- 13:54Speaker 5: like a sigh. And now I'm like, I didn't know
- 13:56Speaker 5: there was this many Mets fans in this bar right now.
- 13:59Speaker 2: It was I was kind of laughing a little bit.
- 14:01Speaker 2: At the same time. Somebody threw his napkin in the air.
- 14:04Speaker 1: I'm like really, yeah, I'm like, there they go.
- 14:08Speaker 2: My son's like, what are we going to do with showed.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Right?
- 14:15Speaker 4: You played for both Yankee fan Son the offense showed
- 14:18Speaker 4: up for them though, at least in.
- 14:19Speaker 1: THEYD one game, you know, putting up sh run that
- 14:22Speaker 1: was nice at the end.
- 14:23Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean that's the guy I'd probably be least
- 14:26Speaker 4: concerned about. He's a hits machine as long as he's helping.
- 14:28Speaker 4: Bobachett's been one of the most consistent players.
- 14:30Speaker 5: And people like, oh he had a slow start that
- 14:32Speaker 5: was it was like seven eight games, Yeah, relax, he's
- 14:35Speaker 5: he's about.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Over two forty now. He's good. He'll get there.
- 14:38Speaker 3: I've seen that one firsthand a couple of years in Toronto.
- 14:40Speaker 3: What he can do is like if he's not slugging
- 14:42Speaker 3: or maybe doing as much damage as he wants, he's
- 14:44Speaker 3: so good back to ball, he'll just start peppering singles
- 14:47Speaker 3: through that four hole and that average will just creep
- 14:49Speaker 3: right up. He's he's yeah, I as far as anyone
- 14:52Speaker 3: that I'm worried about hitting, Bobachet is not on that list, right.
- 14:56Speaker 4: Yeah, he's prime years too. I mean, this is what's
- 14:59Speaker 4: bout right now, twenty eight years old, Like we never
- 15:02Speaker 4: know exactly, or sometimes we don't know exactly if there's
- 15:06Speaker 4: any other kind of issues, you know, I know he
- 15:07Speaker 4: had some injuries last year, but as long as he's
- 15:10Speaker 4: feeling good, yeah, strip, I would not be concerned about
- 15:12Speaker 4: that one. And that was a guy that the Phillies
- 15:14Speaker 4: wanted to and I thought that would have made things
- 15:16Speaker 4: interesting if they picked him up, just to you know,
- 15:18Speaker 4: add a little spice to the lineup, a little more consistency,
- 15:20Speaker 4: guys that can get on base, put knocks together and
- 15:23Speaker 4: not be so reliant on Schwarber, Harper and Turner when
- 15:27Speaker 4: he's feeling good.
- 15:30Speaker 3: Yep, exactly. I'm sure he had plenty of suitors. Man.
- 15:33Speaker 3: I bet he was fielding calls left and right, and
- 15:35Speaker 3: obviously got the money he got to go in there
- 15:37Speaker 3: and hit, so you know, you see it right there
- 15:39Speaker 3: on your screen. Not having a great last ten games,
- 15:42Speaker 3: but he's he has been streaky over his career, and
- 15:44Speaker 3: he's one of those guys when he's hot, you almost
- 15:47Speaker 3: pitch around him and he still might hit the ball
- 15:49Speaker 3: in the other batter's box for a single over the
- 15:51Speaker 3: second basement. I mean he's just he's got that good
- 15:53Speaker 3: bat to ball skills. So yeah, I'll sit here all
- 15:56Speaker 3: day and harp on how good of a hitter. I think,
- 15:57Speaker 3: bobashet is.
- 16:00Speaker 4: That you either think have looked ridiculous to start the
- 16:02Speaker 4: year or on the other side, like I mentioned, Garrett
- 16:04Speaker 4: Crochet not off to a great start, but I mean
- 16:07Speaker 4: maybe like a mile an hour down, but otherwise, like
- 16:09Speaker 4: the stuff looks pretty similar to what it did in
- 16:12Speaker 4: the past.
- 16:14Speaker 3: Yeah, Crochet is the low hanging fruit there as far
- 16:16Speaker 3: as I think being a little bit worried, and I
- 16:19Speaker 3: think it comes down to execution. I feel like when
- 16:21Speaker 3: you go look at his outings, it's just a lot
- 16:23Speaker 3: of stuff over the heart of the plate, and I
- 16:25Speaker 3: think a few miles an hour down is a big deal.
- 16:28Speaker 3: But you know, after you see his funk a few times,
- 16:31Speaker 3: you know these are in division games. If you're going
- 16:33Speaker 3: to the Yankees where they've seen him a few times
- 16:36Speaker 3: and they know what to expect, and if you're missing
- 16:38Speaker 3: over the heart of the plate, I don't care if
- 16:40Speaker 3: your Paul Skins thrown from fifty two feet. He's a
- 16:43Speaker 3: big league hitters and they're eventually going to figure out
- 16:45Speaker 3: what you're doing and catch up to it a little bit,
- 16:47Speaker 3: and I think that's what you're seeing from Crochet. So
- 16:49Speaker 3: I think the stuff is fine, like you mentioned, and
- 16:51Speaker 3: it's going to get out, but he's got to start
- 16:53Speaker 3: getting back on the corners a little bit.
- 16:56Speaker 4: Hey, did you guys see Haascar Brassobond from the Mets
- 17:00Speaker 4: being told yesterday that if it stays tied, he's going
- 17:03Speaker 4: to pitch the ninth and then if the Memes took
- 17:07Speaker 4: the lead, they'd go with Devin Williams. But he forgot
- 17:09Speaker 4: and then went out in the mounts, saw the lights
- 17:11Speaker 4: gone and said, uh, oh, oh.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Boy, that's awesome.
- 17:16Speaker 5: Yeah that I couldn't, like I said, I was at
- 17:19Speaker 5: the bars so we couldn't tell. I just saw Devin
- 17:21Speaker 5: Williams look dejected him like, oh no, they told me
- 17:24Speaker 5: he was coming out and he wasn't. And then to
- 17:25Speaker 5: find out this, uh hey, we're all human, yeah, we're
- 17:29Speaker 5: all human. Mistakes happened. He got the out, so he
- 17:31Speaker 5: got the one out and they said, I would have.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Left him in.
- 17:34Speaker 5: You let him let him meet a little more another
- 17:37Speaker 5: guy until he didn't get it out.
- 17:38Speaker 2: But ultimately Devin Williams came in right Yeah.
- 17:42Speaker 3: I don't know who I'd rather be lease in that situation.
- 17:45Speaker 3: Devin Williams, who's coming out all fired up, or I
- 17:49Speaker 3: guess you'd rather be as a bomb because at least
- 17:50Speaker 3: he thinks he's in the game. But at some point,
- 17:52Speaker 3: like they tell you, oh, you're not supposed to be
- 17:54Speaker 3: in the game, you like trigger this thing like Okay,
- 17:55Speaker 3: my night's over and like, actually no, you got to
- 17:57Speaker 3: get another out. That's a that's kind of a lose
- 17:59Speaker 3: lose for both those guys.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Yeah, doesn't it like what the rules are? If you
- 18:04Speaker 2: cross the white.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Line, that's the problem. Then he's got to pitch.
- 18:08Speaker 5: So he so Bruce Bark crossed the white line. Yeah,
- 18:11Speaker 5: he's like, it's like in Field of Dreams, you're like, Oh.
- 18:16Speaker 4: Support for today's episode comes from Square, and they've got

- 19:16Speaker 2: Oh it's on.
- 19:26Speaker 4: This was a story that dominated the headlines at a
- 19:29Speaker 4: time when baseball usually doesn't. It was during spring training
- 19:33Speaker 4: when Pete Crow Armstrong told Chicago Magazine in an interview
- 19:38Speaker 4: that Dodger fans can be disengaged, photo obsessed, and not
- 19:42Speaker 4: true baseball fans compared to Chicago fans. PCA is a
- 19:48Speaker 4: die hard Cubs fan who grew up in California, but
- 19:53Speaker 4: he is now with the Cubs, of course, and signed
- 19:55Speaker 4: up for a long period of time. He said, I
- 19:58Speaker 4: love Chicago more and more than people are great. They
- 20:01Speaker 4: give a bleep. They aren't just baseball fans to go
- 20:03Speaker 4: to the game like Dodger fans to take pictures and whatever.
- 20:06Speaker 1: They're paying attention. They care.
- 20:09Speaker 4: We'll get to a little clip of him later on
- 20:11Speaker 4: FT further adding fuel to the fire. We're bringing it
- 20:14Speaker 4: up right now, Strip because PCA is about to be
- 20:19Speaker 4: warmly welcomed by many phones and many loud voices at
- 20:24Speaker 4: Dodger Stadium who are pinpointing parts of the outfield to
- 20:27Speaker 4: spend some time this weekend so they can say hello
- 20:30Speaker 4: to him. What were your thoughts on the comments and
- 20:33Speaker 4: how do you think he will be received.
- 20:36Speaker 3: I've seen some people received similarly as what he's about
- 20:40Speaker 3: to get. Let's say some twenty seventeen astros coming back
- 20:44Speaker 3: to LA for some warm welcomes, you know, get. I
- 20:48Speaker 3: think I kind of get what he's trying to say there.
- 20:49Speaker 3: I think it's just wrong for anyone that has tried
- 20:52Speaker 3: to go to a game at Dodger Stadium. If you
- 20:55Speaker 3: just park and walk into that place, you're a good
- 20:58Speaker 3: baseball fan. That place is Mayhem. So for the guys
- 21:01Speaker 3: that you know, the fans that go to I don't know,
- 21:04Speaker 3: season ticket holders that deal with that eighty times a year,
- 21:07Speaker 3: those are some diehard baseball fans. And I'm sorry, it's
- 21:09Speaker 3: it's Los Angeles. That's the culture there. Sorry, I'm going
- 21:12Speaker 3: to take a picture of the best player on the planet,
- 21:14Speaker 3: Shoe Atani, or if Leonardo DiCaprio is sitting in the
- 21:17Speaker 3: section ahead of me, I'm going to go try and
- 21:18Speaker 3: get a selfie. I mean, that's that's the culture you're
- 21:21Speaker 3: getting out there. That's part of what makes it. You know,
- 21:23Speaker 3: we're going to get a list later some of the
- 21:24Speaker 3: best places voted by big leaders to play.
- 21:27Speaker 1: They choose the.
- 21:27Speaker 3: Los Angeles Dodgers because it's fun, it's different, the weather's
- 21:31Speaker 3: beautiful every day, and the fans give a damn. So
- 21:33Speaker 3: I think PCA is a little off on that take question.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Do you think.
- 21:39Speaker 4: Dodger fans would back let's just pick someone fun? In
- 21:43Speaker 4: the media a lot, Mookie bets if he said the
- 21:45Speaker 4: same thing about Cubs fans, like, hey, I see that
- 21:48Speaker 4: that cup snake or what do they call it beer snake,
- 21:51Speaker 4: you know when they beer snake when they stack the
- 21:53Speaker 4: cups in the outfield and they're not paying attention and
- 21:55Speaker 4: all that. That's my only problem with the fan perspective
- 21:59Speaker 4: is you can only get after him so much, Like, yes,
- 22:02Speaker 4: he can be your villain and all that, but don't
- 22:04Speaker 4: take it too personal. Like he's just saying, oh, I
- 22:06Speaker 4: think our fans are better than your fans, and you
- 22:08Speaker 4: would want the player on your team to say the
- 22:11Speaker 4: same thing, right.
- 22:13Speaker 3: Yeah, agreed. Yeah, I'm certainly not here telling any Dodger
- 22:16Speaker 3: fans across any lines out there, keeping in good fun.
- 22:20Speaker 3: You know, let PCA hear it a little bit if
- 22:21Speaker 3: you want to. But it's, at the end of the day,
- 22:23Speaker 3: just a baseball player sharing his take. So yeah, if
- 22:27Speaker 3: Mooki did the same, Dodger fans would have his back
- 22:29Speaker 3: and Cubs fans would get up and write in the
- 22:32Speaker 3: same way Dodger fans are. So that's that's part of it,
- 22:34Speaker 3: you know, and and and villains are good for the game.
- 22:36Speaker 3: It's it's it's all in good fun. It's fun to
- 22:38Speaker 3: have someone to root for and to root against at times.
- 22:41Speaker 3: And I think the Dodger fans do that as good
- 22:43Speaker 3: as anyone.
- 22:45Speaker 5: Yeah, and he's from La so he's got some clout.
- 22:48Speaker 5: It's like me being from Jersey and saying some typical
- 22:51Speaker 5: things about Jersey people, like you're allowed Yeah, yeah, I guess,
- 22:56Speaker 5: I guess he's allowed to. But the same time, you
- 22:58Speaker 5: got to remember, like they know you're from there, understandably,
- 23:02Speaker 5: but they don't know you from a hole in the
- 23:04Speaker 5: wall until you got to the Chicago Cubs. For them,
- 23:06Speaker 5: if you're not a baseball fan, you go to the games.
- 23:08Speaker 5: Now he is, he's gonna be the villain. They're they're
- 23:11Speaker 5: gonna be hooting and hollering at him. And Scotty, I
- 23:16Speaker 5: know you like this stuff, this stuff because it does.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Mean the Dodgers are off to a good start.
- 23:23Speaker 4: The Cubs have won a bunch of what is it,
- 23:24Speaker 4: nine in a row, So this adds another storyline to
- 23:28Speaker 4: the fire.
- 23:28Speaker 1: And it's not just me.
- 23:30Speaker 4: Fans love this stuff because you know, you go to
- 23:32Speaker 4: a game, the entire outfield's gonna be let's go, and
- 23:36Speaker 4: then everyone learns the story, even if they didn't know it,
- 23:38Speaker 4: and then it just becomes.
- 23:39Speaker 5: A thing and it kind of kick starts the Dodgers
- 23:41Speaker 5: again to go on another run, Like, honestly, this is
- 23:43Speaker 5: little things like this that can make a team better,
- 23:47Speaker 5: that can bring them united. And you know, they played
- 23:50Speaker 5: okay against the Giants. Giants did a little bit better,
- 23:52Speaker 5: they dropped the series.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Yeah, so you know.
- 23:59Speaker 3: Knew what he was doing, right, I mean, he knows
- 24:01Speaker 3: what you're getting into when you say something like that.
- 24:03Speaker 3: I did it on the flip side once and it
- 24:06Speaker 3: just absolutely crushed me. We were we had just finished
- 24:10Speaker 3: a series. I was a blue Jay. We had finished
- 24:11Speaker 3: a series in Pittsburgh. We were going to Baltimore. I
- 24:14Speaker 3: was getting interviewed and it was a big like division
- 24:16Speaker 3: you know, towards the end of the year, winner might
- 24:18Speaker 3: get a wild card spot, divisions and play kind of thing.
- 24:20Speaker 3: And I said something like, we're the better team. We're
- 24:22Speaker 3: going to go in there and take care of business.
- 24:24Speaker 3: And one of my buddies from the Orioles showed me
- 24:26Speaker 3: that I got printed out and put all through their
- 24:28Speaker 3: locker room and like Ros Stripling's the villain for the weekend.
- 24:31Speaker 3: I'm like, dude, I was just like saying the right
- 24:33Speaker 3: thing in the media, you know. So that's that was
- 24:36Speaker 3: when like I didn't want that versus PCA he's kind
- 24:38Speaker 3: of like choosing to take the smoke right there, So
- 24:41Speaker 3: you got to respect that if a villain's choosing to
- 24:43Speaker 3: be the villain.
- 24:44Speaker 4: Yeah, he likes it, and he knows where he's going
- 24:46Speaker 4: to be for a long period of time. The extension
- 24:49Speaker 4: hadn't been done yet when we spoke to him in
- 24:52Speaker 4: spring training, but talks had been underway for a while.
- 24:55Speaker 4: So let's get to that answer to the original viral
- 24:59Speaker 4: comment from PCA on FT about a month ago.
- 25:03Speaker 2: And I didn't get a chance to really.
- 25:05Speaker 7: Like like back that statement up with the fact that
- 25:10Speaker 7: that has nothing to do with Doc, that has nothing
- 25:12Speaker 7: to do with Showy any of the players over there.
- 25:14Speaker 7: I love Mookie Betts. I look up to him like
- 25:17Speaker 7: Crazy Freddy's only ever been great to me. If anything,
- 25:21Speaker 7: those are the guys that have given these fans a
- 25:23Speaker 7: reason to be fans. And you know, I grew up
- 25:28Speaker 7: going to Dodgers games when they weren't always good, when
- 25:33Speaker 7: they had like many would pop up, but it's like
- 25:38Speaker 7: they go in phases, and I remember, like, you know,
- 25:42Speaker 7: all fans fighting stuff like putting the Giants fan in
- 25:44Speaker 7: the komba like that stuck with me as a kid,
- 25:46Speaker 7: like just little things, you know, and sitting in the stands,
- 25:51Speaker 7: just nasty stuff goes on. I didn't always experience that
- 25:53Speaker 7: at other ballparks. But like I said, that has nothing
- 25:56Speaker 7: to do with who's actually on the field for them.
- 25:58Speaker 7: I love playing against them and I love I just
- 26:02Speaker 7: love what they're doing right now because they're they're creating
- 26:05Speaker 7: a dynasty.
- 26:07Speaker 2: But I want to take them down too.
- 26:09Speaker 1: And and again that was like a round two.
- 26:16Speaker 2: I don't know, I don't even think it was bad.
- 26:17Speaker 5: I just think the more he's speaking, the more it's
- 26:21Speaker 5: getting worse in my right, you know what I mean.
- 26:25Speaker 5: He's trying to make it sound better, like not to
- 26:28Speaker 5: make it a bad comment what he said, and then he.
- 26:31Speaker 2: Brings up something else, and then I know.
- 26:34Speaker 5: I was there when they weren't good, and I'm like,
- 26:37Speaker 5: but you know, just a young kid at heart, just
- 26:41Speaker 5: talking out loud, and you know, hopefully he has a
- 26:43Speaker 5: good series. That's the way you back it up, go
- 26:45Speaker 5: out there and play the game the right way.
- 26:47Speaker 4: He did say it with his chest because when we
- 26:49Speaker 4: asked him about it, he's like, I wanted to clear
- 26:50Speaker 4: something up. Dodger's really good doc players, et cetera, really
- 26:55Speaker 4: good I just don't love the fan environment. I mean
- 26:58Speaker 4: he did kind of double out on it with that statement.
- 27:02Speaker 3: Yeah, he was saying, when I get on first base
- 27:04Speaker 3: or if bench is clear or something, I don't want
- 27:06Speaker 3: anyone coming after me. I want to keep it cool
- 27:08Speaker 3: within my peers. But the fans, you guys, I said
- 27:12Speaker 3: what I said, and I'm backing it up. You guys
- 27:14Speaker 3: have it on me if you want.
- 27:16Speaker 4: How did the players take this strip? They all know
- 27:19Speaker 4: about the comments here. Did the players even care? Like
- 27:23Speaker 4: does it get brought up heading into this series? Of
- 27:26Speaker 4: course they're going to know even if they forgot about
- 27:28Speaker 4: it from a month ago, since you're going to hear
- 27:30Speaker 4: it from the crowd the entire game, But like, do
- 27:33Speaker 4: players care it all? On a regular season game in
- 27:36Speaker 4: late April that PCA said something, do they go like, oh,
- 27:40Speaker 4: let's you know, let's put a little extra and not
- 27:43Speaker 4: hit them. But I'm saying, like, let's try and put
- 27:45Speaker 4: an O for four on them and let's blast the
- 27:47Speaker 4: Cubs to show the fans.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Or is it just like, hey, we're going out to play.
- 27:52Speaker 3: I think it depends a little bit on the situation, right,
- 27:54Speaker 3: This was not an attack on players. In fact, he
- 27:56Speaker 3: even just went out of his way to be pro
- 27:58Speaker 3: player on the Dodgers, So there's going to be I
- 28:00Speaker 3: would say zero ill Will whatsoever. What the players are
- 28:03Speaker 3: going to be excited about is like the guys not
- 28:05Speaker 3: playing or when they're hitting just out there listening to
- 28:08Speaker 3: the fans chirt PCA, you know, for twenty seven straight inning.
- 28:12Speaker 3: So I think they'll talk about that and just be like, man,
- 28:14Speaker 3: how out of hand is this really going to get?
- 28:16Speaker 3: But as far as like any player versus player, ill
- 28:19Speaker 3: Will versus PCA, I would say that's a zero.
- 28:22Speaker 4: People, life is expensive, so you should start looking at
- 28:26Speaker 4: things that are unnecessarily expensive, like your phone bill, and say,
- 28:31Speaker 4: is there a better option?
- 28:32Speaker 6: Min Mobile is a better option than if you have
- 28:34Speaker 6: other companies, especially when you have kids like me and
- 28:36Speaker 6: you have everybody and their brother on your family plan.
- 28:40Speaker 6: Min Mobile give you a cheaper option with the same coverage.
- 28:43Speaker 4: Yes, and some wireless bills are crazy with the bogus
- 28:46Speaker 4: fees and the free perks. They are not free perks.
- 28:50Speaker 4: They cost you more in the long run. So just
- 28:53Speaker 4: go to mint Mobile check out what they have to offer.
- 28:55Speaker 4: All plans come with high speed data and unlimited talking

- 29:25Speaker 2: Okay?
- 29:25Speaker 4: And then you know, beef for the Dodgers coming into
- 29:29Speaker 4: this series is not with the Cubs, but they just
- 29:33Speaker 4: finished up that series that Todd Father was talking about
- 29:35Speaker 4: with the Giants and dropped two out of three to
- 29:38Speaker 4: San Francisco.
- 29:39Speaker 1: What did you think of Logan Web and Dalton Rushing
- 29:42Speaker 1: and all that.
- 29:42Speaker 4: I know we just talked about it earlier for a
- 29:44Speaker 4: minute with Pitching Ninja, but strip your take on how
- 29:47Speaker 4: that all goes down? Does Logan Web take that upon
- 29:50Speaker 4: himself to plunk a hitter like that? And you know
- 29:53Speaker 4: it's funny the comment from Rushing about Jung Hu Lee
- 29:58Speaker 4: I'll leave out the wording, but went a little viral,
- 30:01Speaker 4: and I don't know, that's kind of a production of
- 30:04Speaker 4: the Internet these days. I don't even know if most
- 30:06Speaker 4: players even heard it during the game.
- 30:09Speaker 3: Yeah, this reminded me of a really famous Nate Bargatzi
- 30:12Speaker 3: joke where he's like trying to teach his kid math
- 30:15Speaker 3: and he's like, this new math and I don't know
- 30:17Speaker 3: how you do it. And then you get in there
- 30:18Speaker 3: and you're like, oh, that's old math right there in
- 30:19Speaker 3: the middle, and you're like, that's what this was. This
- 30:21Speaker 3: was old baseball mixed into twenty twenty six baseball, where
- 30:25Speaker 3: we used to be able to handle things ourselves out
- 30:27Speaker 3: on the field, but now you got to go in
- 30:29Speaker 3: and talk to the media after and Logan Web's gotta
- 30:31Speaker 3: act like he lives under a rock with a flip
- 30:33Speaker 3: phone and hasn't seen social media in four days, and
- 30:36Speaker 3: Rushing probably does the right thing as a young guy
- 30:38Speaker 3: and takes the high road, and Doc kind of has
- 30:40Speaker 3: his back, And that's the social media internet world that
- 30:43Speaker 3: we live in. But at the end of the day,
- 30:45Speaker 3: that's a situation for one hundred years that got dealt
- 30:47Speaker 3: with on the baseball field, and then you moved on
- 30:50Speaker 3: between division rivals. So it's kind of like both those
- 30:53Speaker 3: things happening at the same time. And that's just where
- 30:56Speaker 3: we are in twenty twenty six Major League Baseball.
- 30:59Speaker 4: We have Logan Webb's comment after the game since Doc
- 31:02Speaker 4: Roberts was like, oh, hell yeah. I mean, Logan web
- 31:05Speaker 4: clearly hit Dalton rushing on purpose. Rushing was more like, oh,
- 31:10Speaker 4: I like getting on base.
- 31:11Speaker 1: It was if it was intentional, I'll take it. I'll
- 31:12Speaker 1: take what I deserve. I mean, he's a young pup
- 31:14Speaker 1: still in the league.
- 31:15Speaker 4: He hasn't gotten a lot of put yet, and he's
- 31:17Speaker 4: off to a blazing start when he does play. But
- 31:20Speaker 4: here's Webb, the veteran who knows where he puts the baseball.
- 31:25Speaker 3: What would you.
- 31:25Speaker 4: Say about getting hitting Russian rushing?
- 31:29Speaker 1: Oh?
- 31:29Speaker 3: He was on video.
- 31:31Speaker 4: It looked like he was saying kind of something disparaging
- 31:34Speaker 4: when Joe was.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Heard, where are you trying to go? Just best on say?
- 31:43Speaker 4: I mean, he did not have the world's best poker face.
- 31:48Speaker 4: That's like if we're playing and he's like, I don't
- 31:51Speaker 4: have anything. I don't have a royal flush.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Yeah, it was that. That was hard to watch.
- 31:59Speaker 1: You couldn't old.
- 32:02Speaker 5: No, no, that was it. I mean, listen, fastball inside
- 32:06Speaker 5: boom missed his pitch. But yeah, you gotta believe he did.
- 32:11Speaker 5: He said everything right, just with a little smirk on
- 32:14Speaker 5: his face. So yeah, understandably, he's an older guy.
- 32:20Speaker 2: He's been around the block, so he's not missing a
- 32:23Speaker 2: beat in my opinion.
- 32:25Speaker 3: Yeah, that was choosing to keep a little money in
- 32:27Speaker 3: his pocket.
- 32:28Speaker 2: You know.
- 32:28Speaker 3: You come out and say I went right at him,
- 32:31Speaker 3: You get a nice little letter from the commissioner the
- 32:33Speaker 3: next day. So that was just choosing to avoid avoid
- 32:36Speaker 3: that situation of having to pay any kind of fine. Say, yeah,
- 32:39Speaker 3: that was a two seamer that didn't come on back,
- 32:41Speaker 3: you know. But yeah, that's like I said, that's just
- 32:44Speaker 3: the world we live in. That we got to put
- 32:46Speaker 3: him in front of a camera and he has to
- 32:47Speaker 3: play coy like that.
- 32:49Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
- 32:50Speaker 4: It's not like the lee can send him a letter
- 32:52Speaker 4: and say, hey, we didn't like your poker face or
- 32:55Speaker 4: you were smiling when you said that. Right, It's got
- 32:57Speaker 4: to be the words that come out, and the words
- 32:59Speaker 4: that came out, you just have to read them like
- 33:01Speaker 4: you know, verbatim.
- 33:02Speaker 1: Hey, he didn't know.
- 33:03Speaker 4: He claims he didn't know, and that's all you can do. Hey,
- 33:08Speaker 4: did you see this quote from Alex Korra. Honestly, reading
- 33:11Speaker 4: some of the quotes from players, we're taking losing very hard,
- 33:14Speaker 4: which is not usual, right, But it's a different group,
- 33:17Speaker 4: so we have to make sure you stay the course,
- 33:18Speaker 4: understand where you're at in the season. Is it a
- 33:20Speaker 4: bad sorry, yes it is, we know that, but we've
- 33:21Speaker 4: got plenty of time to get back to five hundred,
- 33:23Speaker 4: to make our move and get to where we want
- 33:24Speaker 4: to get.
- 33:25Speaker 1: He's completely on the money, and I like.
- 33:27Speaker 4: The way that he described it because this has this
- 33:29Speaker 4: team has some young players that are being asked to
- 33:32Speaker 4: step up in a big way, like Roman Anthony and
- 33:34Speaker 4: Marcela Maya, and they haven't experienced this before.
- 33:36Speaker 1: They barely experienced the majors.
- 33:38Speaker 5: Yeah, this is well said. This is a sign of
- 33:40Speaker 5: a veteran coach, understand And it is early, but you know,
- 33:45Speaker 5: eventually you have to get going. And then you look
- 33:47Speaker 5: at this right now, seven games back last place. Yeah,
- 33:50Speaker 5: it's ugly, but it's doable still, and they do have
- 33:54Speaker 5: a team to do it. It seems like when they
- 33:57Speaker 5: go bad though, they always find a way to lose
- 33:59Speaker 5: these games that are close, and you know it's just
- 34:02Speaker 5: part of their mo I still think they're going to
- 34:04Speaker 5: have an opportunity to get a wild card at the
- 34:06Speaker 5: end of the day and maybe make the playoffs. But yes,
- 34:09Speaker 5: they got to get going. They have the team to
- 34:11Speaker 5: do it. They got the names, I mean, the Journdorans
- 34:13Speaker 5: of the world. I mean they got to kickstarter here
- 34:15Speaker 5: a little bit and get going and you know, see
- 34:18Speaker 5: where your cards lay. But it's a juggernaut, man. This
- 34:21Speaker 5: al lease is the best in my opinion. It's a
- 34:24Speaker 5: juggernaut to see the teams you play, and it doesn't
- 34:27Speaker 5: stop each day.
- 34:28Speaker 2: You got to come and bring them.
- 34:29Speaker 4: If your home run bet comes up short, you get
- 34:32Speaker 4: an MLB No Sweat home run token that'll help you out.
- 34:36Speaker 4: You can activate the token when you bet on any
- 34:38Speaker 4: player to hit a home run in any MLB game.
- 34:40Speaker 4: If that player doesn't do it, doesn't hit the homer,
- 34:42Speaker 4: you get your stake back and bonus bets keep the
- 34:44Speaker 4: action in scoring position. With bet MGM gambling problem or concern,
- 34:48Speaker 4: there's help called one eight hundred gambling on the way
- 35:01Speaker 4: out here? Do we have the Lindor tweet just we
- 35:04Speaker 4: didn't get that. I know we talked about the Mets
- 35:05Speaker 4: a little bit, but the injury itself I'll mention as
- 35:09Speaker 4: we're queuing it up.
- 35:12Speaker 1: Looks pretty serious. So Sodo missed like to and change.
- 35:16Speaker 2: I want to say, I would say.
- 35:18Speaker 4: But they said this one's more serious for Lindora crazy
- 35:21Speaker 4: he Soda comes back and then Lindor goes down with
- 35:24Speaker 4: the cat.
- 35:24Speaker 5: Literally no, And I think the one I think about
- 35:27Speaker 5: is Mike Trout when he had the CAF problem.
- 35:29Speaker 2: Like these are very serious.
- 35:30Speaker 5: They linger. Every injury is a pain in the butt
- 35:34Speaker 5: at the end of the day. But Calves is the one.
- 35:36Speaker 5: It's the one you go up and down with. It's
- 35:38Speaker 5: the first thing you feel when you're moving. Then everything
- 35:41Speaker 5: moves up right from your leg. I'm using my arm
- 35:43Speaker 5: as a reference, but yeah, this is this is something
- 35:47Speaker 5: where you're gonna have to really take your time. And
- 35:50Speaker 5: you know, Ronnie Mauricio is going to have to step
- 35:53Speaker 5: up at the end of the day. So we'll see
- 35:55Speaker 5: how he does. But short how you doing?
- 36:00Speaker 1: There you go?
- 36:00Speaker 2: Why not?
- 36:01Speaker 1: More more familiar spot for him, but.
- 36:04Speaker 5: With the Colemo Anthony Como said that Ronnie was going
- 36:07Speaker 5: to get more.
- 36:08Speaker 1: Ronnie's coming up. Yeah, he just got called up, so yeah,
- 36:11Speaker 1: he's going to get.
- 36:11Speaker 4: A long run at shortstop. Right to prove himself in
- 36:13Speaker 4: Lindor's absence. So I guess not, yeah, Bo, They'll just
- 36:16Speaker 4: let him keep learning third base.
- 36:19Speaker 2: I put put him in the fire. What do you
- 36:21Speaker 2: got to lose right now?
- 36:23Speaker 4: That's true, yeah, but tough loss for the Mets there too,
- 36:26Speaker 4: with Lindor going down. I remember Ross when Sodo got hurt.
- 36:31Speaker 4: I think he was like, oh, the next day kind
- 36:33Speaker 4: of feeling better, and then he sat again, and I'm like,
- 36:36Speaker 4: no way, we just covering the game for too long.
- 36:39Speaker 4: You see the guys with the calf injuries and they're like, oh,
- 36:42Speaker 4: maybe I can play, and then they start testing it
- 36:44Speaker 4: on the field and they're like, oh no, no, no,
- 36:47Speaker 4: Hadead no.
- 36:50Speaker 3: I'm just with you Todd on the on the calf stuff.
- 36:52Speaker 3: And it doesn't seem to be showing his head as
- 36:54Speaker 3: much in baseball. But if you look across like some
- 36:56Speaker 3: of these basketball and NFL guys, that calf leads to
- 36:59Speaker 3: achilles or stuff and things that it's just not it's
- 37:02Speaker 3: not what you mess with. It used to be like
- 37:03Speaker 3: an old man injury, a calf led to achilles. Now
- 37:05Speaker 3: we got Jason Tatum and his prime tearing his achilles
- 37:08Speaker 3: in game seven of NBA playoffs. You know, it's just, uh,
- 37:11Speaker 3: it's not one of those that's worth pressing. You got
- 37:13Speaker 3: to get it all the way right before you even
- 37:14Speaker 3: think about getting them back out there.
