Latest / The Spirit Nomad: Spiritual Awakening + Life Purpose / How to Quit Your 9-5 as a Full-Time Creator (6 Step Plan)
Transcript
- 0:00I've been a full time creator for over six years now and I
- 0:03only need to work 4 hours per week and if I was starting from
- 0:06scratch and wanted to grow quickly so I can just leave my
- 0:099:00 to 5:00 and never come back, this is exactly what I
- 0:12would do. I have mapped out a six step
- 0:15plan that I will share with you today and then some big no no's
- 0:19that I feel like everybody thinks that you have to do as a
- 0:22creator but I would say no. This will actually slow down
- 0:25your growth. Step one is to pick a problem
- 0:28instead of a niche. So instead saying I want to be
- 0:31in the spirituality niche or the travel niche or the fitness
- 0:34niche, instead think of people 2:00 AM on their phone in their
- 0:38bed and they're having this aching problem.
- 0:41What are they struggling with? What are they looking up online
- 0:44at that point? So for example, for me when I
- 0:46was younger, it was how to get out of the 9:00 to 5:00 or how
- 0:50to find my purpose. So think about a problem like
- 0:53that, that you have overcome, that you can teach people.
- 0:56Step 2 is to sell before you grow.
- 0:59Many people will wait until they have 10,000 subscribers before
- 1:03they actually start selling something and monetizing that
- 1:05Channel. But you can quit your nine to
- 1:07five sooner than you think if you start to actually create a
- 1:10product. Because with Adsense alone,
- 1:12let's say you have a YouTube channel and you're thinking I'll
- 1:15just live on ad revenue. You will need a very big channel
- 1:18with a lot of views before you can make significant money.
- 1:21However, if you start offering coaching or a course or a
- 1:25membership, then you very quickly can build up that income
- 1:29that can replace your 95 job. But if you just relied on ad
- 1:32revenue for that, you would barely make any money.
- 1:34Step 4. Make sure that this niche is not
- 1:37coming from the mind, but from the soul.
- 1:39So is this something that you're actually passionate about, a
- 1:42change you want to see in the world?
- 1:44Because if you're picking your niche based on, I have a
- 1:46professional experience in this because I worked in this
- 1:49corporate niche for many years, you're eventually going to
- 1:52burnout because it's not fun and you're not learning anymore
- 1:55because it's boring to you. Look on your bookshelf.
- 1:58What are you actually reading about that gives you clue to
- 2:00what you should teach? And if you're not sure what your
- 2:02life purpose is, then I have a free guide how to find your
- 2:04purpose in five simple steps. I've linked it in the
- 2:06description. Step 4 is to talk to one person,
- 2:10not everyone. So start your videos with saying
- 2:13you OK, you're calling out one person rather than hi YouTube.
- 2:17This makes the person on the other side feel so much more
- 2:19special, like you're just having a one-on-one conversation.
- 2:22And this should not only be when you're filming, but also when
- 2:25you're writing sales pages or articles in any of your content.
- 2:29Think of one person and preferably a younger version of
- 2:33you, the person you were before you overcame this obstacle.
- 2:37For example, I am talking to the younger version of me who was
- 2:41feeling so unfulfilled and so drained in her nine to five job.
- 2:45Step 5A high value, low volume strategy.
- 2:49So if your business model relies on getting a huge amount of
- 2:53traffic, for example by having ads in your podcast or only
- 2:57relying on YouTube ad revenue, then you need so much volume.
- 3:01You need to go viral all your videos.
- 3:03And same with brand deals. You will only get really
- 3:06profitable brand deals if you have a huge audience.
- 3:09But there's a way of getting equally much income with a low
- 3:13volume on YouTube and on social media and on podcasts.
- 3:16And that is by having a product that costs a bit more money,
- 3:20that has a bigger transformation.
- 3:21So it could be things like offering one-on-one call
- 3:25packages. So think about what is the
- 3:26transformation that you can take somebody through.
- 3:29For example, if you're A and you used to be stressed out but now
- 3:32you're a minimalist mom, so happy, so peaceful.
- 3:36You can take other stressed out moms through this
- 3:38transformation. Or it could be a high ticket
- 3:41program. We have a video course and that
- 3:44could be someone on one coaching or some group coaching a little
- 3:47community. This you can charge more for
- 3:49than an e-book. This way you only need around 3
- 3:52new clients per month to make a living and no longer need a nine
- 3:57to five job. Step 6 is to validate fast and
- 4:00pivot faster. So instead of building for
- 4:03months, you want to post, observe and adjust.
- 4:06So look in the comment section in your DMS. What are people
- 4:10having problems with? What are they going through?
- 4:12And create a product around that and start selling your course or
- 4:16your program before it's fully built out.
- 4:19And have some beta testers go through that product.
- 4:21Give them 50% discount to get that valuable feedback.
- 4:25And once you have that, you can start releasing the other
- 4:27modules. Your audience literally tells
- 4:29you WhatsApp because what you don't want to be trust me, is
- 4:32where you create a product because you're excited about it
- 4:35and then it turns out nobody actually cares.
- 4:38It's not a problem. People willing to pay money for
- 4:40And before I get into what you should absolutely not do if you
- 4:44want to grow as a content creator, if you want more
- 4:46guidance specific to your situation, then book a free
- 4:50business clerk to call. We have a few more slots this
- 4:52month and that you will get more clear on your purpose and your
- 4:56nation brand. Now here's what I would not do.
- 4:59The first thing is to focus too much on aesthetics.
- 5:02We've all seen those shorts where it's these beautiful
- 5:05aesthetics, my morning routine, my trip to France, and we have
- 5:09this beautiful music and beautiful transitions.
- 5:13And now that AI has entered the shot, polished content is so
- 5:17out. People are craving authentic
- 5:19conversations, authentic content where it feels like they're just
- 5:22sitting next to a friend and talking.
- 5:23The second thing is some viral content.
- 5:25So content that you're posting because you know, we'll get a
- 5:28lot of views, but there's no not much substance there because
- 5:31yes, it could grow your brand quicker, but the people you're
- 5:35attracting are not coming for what you have to offer, what
- 5:38your products are about. They just came to be
- 5:40entertained. Another thing I would not do is
- 5:42to delay selling. So you should sell in every
- 5:46single content. It could just be a quick call to
- 5:49action to your product that will help them go deeper.
- 5:52So don't be afraid to sell. If they truly have this problem,
- 5:55then you offering a product, a solution to that problem is
- 5:59exactly what they want. And you never know which video
- 6:02of yours will go viral. Trust me, it's always the one
- 6:06you least expect. So if you didn't have a call to
- 6:08action, you will regret that forever.
- 6:10You also don't want to wait to feel ready because trust me, you
- 6:15will never feel ready, OK? It's never Oh my gosh, I can't
- 6:19wait to film or I can't wait to start a YouTube channel.
- 6:22It will always be that voice in your head that says you're not
- 6:24ready. So sometimes you just gotta
- 6:26start filming and then you will start to feel ready and then the
- 6:30more you film and film, the easier they will get with time.
- 6:33You have so much wisdom to share with the World Life Worker, so I
- 6:36wanted to write in the comments. Everything I need to succeed is
- 6:39already within me. You don't need to get a PhD or
- 6:43lots of certifications to feel worthy.
- 6:45You already have so much to share.
- 6:47Let me know about the channel that you've started or want to
- 6:50start so that we can all follow each other and support each
- 6:53other. Love you so much and see you in
- 6:55the next video.
