She was awake, had to grab her phone. You know, the

young people on the phones. Man, I need to do a segment,

like a real deep segment about this phone situation with our kids. Man.

That screen time is incredible. It could be dangerous too, where everything that's

going on in the world. Amen. So that's just a dad's mindset,

Aymen, hearing things at night, waking up, walking around, praying,

a man laying hands on the walls, Amen, and things like that.

But I'm here, didn't I don't feel like I slept, but ain't met.

We're here. We're here for another Morning Devo. Today, we're gonna

get into some private prayer public rewards. That's what I'm calling this one today,

Private prayer public reward. You ever notice how people I know people who

are prayer worry is I'm a prayer worry with myself A lot of things I

pray you will never hear it's private. Amen. The only one that hears

it is the Lord. Amen. And that's very important for the Lord to

hear my prayers. There's a lot of scriptures in the Bible that tell you

how your prayers won't be heard, they will be hindered. Amen. And

I don't want that type of smoke with the Lord. Amen. I want

everything to be clear. I want everything to be copeesthetic. I want everything

to be heard. Amen. So I have to do the things that the

Word says to do in order for my prayers to be heard by the Lord.

If I do that, the opposite of what the Word of God says

to do the Bible is clear your prayers, my prayers, your prayers won't

be heard. Amen. So private prayer, public reward. When Jesus says

the Father would reward those who pray privately, what do you think he means?

Right? Like I said, I know people who are prayer warriors and

man, when they share some of their prayers that came to pass, and

you look at some things and look at some people, look at some areas

in their life, You'll be like, wow, that must have been a

powerful prayer Amen. That must have been a private personal thing that they had

going on with them and the Lord. Amen. And God is faithful to

answer our prayers when he hears them according to his word and purpose for our

lives. People say that God hears all our prayers. I don't think so,

Amen. I think he chooses not to hear certain prayers from certain people

that are doing certain things Amen, that are opposite or posing what the scriptures

say. Now, if they don't know those things not to do. I

believe God's got of faith, God's grace and said just God, so he'll

deal with that accordingly. But if we do believe, if we do know

what we believe, and we do know the word, amen, or some

of the word at least of how not to pray or what hinders our prayer,

That's where we're going to be today on the morning Devo, private prayer,

public reward. A man who wants to be rewarded. I want to be

rewarded, especially it's from the Lord. Amen. I work hard. I

work diligently. Amen. I work according to Colligns three that my reward comes

from the Lord. Amen. I'm trying to do everything to the best of

my ability, Amen, because I know ultimately I'm not working for a man.

Ultimately, I'm working for the Lord. Amen, and the Lord will

give the reward. So it's powerful when you know the scriptures and you apply

to scriptures in your life and in your prayer life. If you don't have

a prayer life, what are you waiting for a start today? Amen?

There's a hearing God that we speak to. I don't speak to a guy

who doesn't hear. I don't speak to a guy who doesn't respond. I

don't speak to a God who doesn't acknowledge, amen, or seek. I

speak to a living, holy, righteous, loving God, a God who

hears, and a God who responds. What about you? Amen? And

we speak to God because He spoke to us first and men, and he

hears us. This is a relationship, right. So, although we have

this social media and everybody thinks they're being heard on social media platforms, people

are posting pictures, traveling dates, vacation pictures, which to me is the

way I think very dangerous. Amen. If you're on vacation and you know

you're away from your home and nobody's in your home or your apartment or whatever

situation, I suggest just the caution that always comes up in my mind,

don't post the vacation pictures until you get back, amen, and then everybody

can see where you went. But if you're posting it in real time,

I think that's dangerous, just for other reasons. So pictures, travel photos,

themselves with their spouse on a date. Right. All this on social

media. It seems that we enjoy sharing our lives with other people, right.

It all seems to enjoy our lives right with other people. This isn't

as good as actual fellowship though, with people that you know in real time,

your connection family, your connection with friends, Amen. Although you might

not be able to talk to your friends or family every day. That's what

social media is good for, or platforms like this that you could communicate through

a phone or camera. Amen. But there's nothing like personal relationships you can

share all your life. There's a lot of photoshop going on on the social

media and everything looks picture perfect. What about your private relationships, hey man.

Even as a born again believer, we see the evangelists online, picture

perfect ministry, family traveling. Some of them get jets, planes and they're

doing you know, fancy jet pictures. Amen. That's on them, praise

the Lord, right, But how's their private prayer life. I don't know

it's private, but you will see a public reward. It goes along with

the scripture that says you will know them by their what, by their fruit,

not buy their social media platforms. So don't be duped in to think

that I want to be like so and so, because look at their picture,

look at their life, look at their family, look at their houses,

look at their planes, look at their cars, look at their pictures.

Man, look at the social media. I mean, look how many

followers they have. I literally had a situation where I had just asked the

question. I was somewhere in an event, and I said, who is

this person? I never saw this person. You don't know about this person?

I said, no, I don't know about this preacher young was young

preacher. He was into healing and everything. And I said no, never.

Oh man, he has a million followers on Instagram, and this on

Facebook and this on YouTube. I'm just like, okay, so not one

of a million of followers. I don't think so. People actually will look

at your followers on social media and qualify you to preach. That's where we

are right now, and I'm like, wow, that's dangerous. But we

don't know about the private prayer, but we do know about the public reward

right and the fruits of that. Anyway, I'm gonna get off that.

How many people could agree that every day you could be praying for something

new, brand new in your life and in other people's life, for the

world. A man of health, strength, protection, everything. When I

used to work for this company that I was in and out of a box

truck, I used to drive a box truck and I was in and out.

I always remember there's three steps to get in, the three steps to

get out, because it was the three step box truck. And every step

I started taking Amen time to name those steps health, strength, and protection.

And every time I used to get off. I used to say,

thank you Love God for your health, strength and protection. Every time I

your strength and protection over my life. Amen. So those three steps

gave me a holy habit, holy routine. Amen, to pray all through

my route, and I would do that faithfully for the most part, like

ninety percent of the days I used to pray that, Amen. And who

knows how many times it helped me. Those prayers helped me from maybe having

an accident, from messing up my back because it was a very physical job

for getting into conflicts or issues. Amen. To walk in peace, favor

with sales and service. You know, your prayer life very important. So

private prayer, public reward. Let me get this ready for those who are

Nobody has to know. It's between you and the Lord, and you

don't have to do what the scripture is gonna tell us not to do right,

Matthew six five to eight. Jesus said, this is the Lord Jesus.

He said, and when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites,

for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners

to be seen by others. We've all seen these people, man, I've

seen this. If you haven't seen these people out praying and at robes and

yelling at people and acting all holy and trying to say that they're better than

you, better than me. Hey, man, it's doing them no good.

There a clanging symbol, just a loud noise. That's what they are.

And Jesus said, they're hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in

the synagogues, that's the churches, and on the streets to be seen by

others. They're like, look at me, I'm praying. Look at me,

I have these garments on. Look at me, I'm part of you

know, whatever religion. Jesus said, Truly, I tell you they have

received their reward in full. It's right there. Social media platforms, people

are like that, look at me, look at what I'm doing. They

have received their reward. In full. The people out in the public arenas

Amen, and they're doing soul counts right, and they're saying, when last

time I had a service, seventy people got saved. What about your church?

Those type of people, they're hypocrites. They have received their full reward

Verse number six. But when you pray, Amen, and this is to

us, the children of God, the disciples of the Lord Jesus. When

you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your

father. That's personal, that's private. That's a relationship your Father, who

is unseen right now. I've heard people said I saw Jesus, Jesus walked

into the room and this, that and the third praise the Lord. I

personally haven't seen Jesus myself. Amen. I've had a powerful, that unforgettable

experience of the power of the spirit of God entering into my prayer room.

I had even a man run down to my prayer room that had just met

earlier, that was on fire for the Lord at the time. This was

years ago, ran down and confirmed some of the prayers in real time.

Right out of his mouth, he said, I had to run down here

to your house and tell you that the Lord said boom boom boom. I

was like, WHOA, that never happened again though, And I've been searching

for that experience again. But God is doing a new thing. So back

Go into your room, close the door, and pray to your father,

who is unseen. Then, so when you do that part, then

your father who sees what is done in secret. We have a god who

sees us. We have a God who knows us. We have a God

who understands us. We have a God who forgives us. We have a

God who has grace upon us, mercy upon us. Then when your father,

See that I promise the way to do it. It is there in the

scripture. Jesus is telling us this is how you do it. Don't do

it like the other people. Do it like this, and then when you

seven, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think that they

will be heard because of their many words. Right, you know, flowery

words, and you know quoting scriptures, praise the Lord. If that's the

way their relationship privately is with the Lord. Amen. God knows the hearts

of the people. Amen. But I don't want to lose nobody by quoting

fifty scriptures in my prayer when people in the crowd probably are like I don't

even read the Bible. So and when you pray, do not keep on

babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many

words. Do not be like them. For your father knows what you need

before you ask him. Right, Jesus is not shying away from how people

are doing it all wrong, but he is letting us know and warning us

your spouse hears you praying in another room. Man, I think that's

powerful. They might brush it off, they might not believe what you're praying

or whatever, but it's powerful. Why, especially when you're repeating the word

that privately, it's so much more powerful. The temptation is that I'm thinking

of right now, is that nobody knows, but someone, the most powerful

person knows God. He knows, he sees. But you know a lot

of times people be like, man, I don't think people know I pray.

You know, in my family, I do a lot of private time

with the Lord for my family, right and sometimes they'll call or text and

something's going on, Like yesterday I got a call from my young brother,

my younger brother David. Will pray for him right now, Father, in

the name of Jesus, I pray for my brother David, that you would

touch his body physically a man, line everything up that needs to be lined

up in his spine, his neck, and his back. Touch him so

that way the doctors won't have to do any invasive thing. A little guy.

You would be getting the glory, honor, worship, and praise for

the healing that you're going to do in his body. In the name of

Jesus. Amen. Now publicly pray that Amen. But after the call,

I privately prayed. So a lot of times when I get connected to a

family member, my brothers, my sister, my mom, and they say

things I actually don't know. I didn't know what was going on. Like

my mama said, did you hear about your nephew brother or whatever. I

was like no, But in my mind I'm thinking I prayed for that.

Amen. So there's really not a lot of worry going on in my heart

no more, because I know I have a private prayer time, a private

relationship with God, Amen, and he will see to it that however he

does it. Amen. There's a lot of private prayers that I have and

I'm waiting for the answers or waiting for God to do something or move or

soften hearts and people to get saved. Amen. But I have a private

storehouse of prayers. Amen. What about you? You know you what you're

praying for. God is not you know, unable to answer your prayers.

Maybe the answer is not now amen. Maybe the answer is like it's in

his time, right, God's time, and not our of time. I've

heard of testimonies, people waiting thirty years, praying every day for thirty years

for a family member to get saved. And at the end, like right

before that family member that testimonies upon testimonies like this, right before that family

enters into eternity, they receive the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. And then

although it's a bittersweet, it's sad when you lose a love on right,

they know in their hearts after they share that system, like they will see

them that family member again. Why because that family member gave their hearts to

the Lord. Amazing. The power of private prayer will give you public reward.

And when people see the public reward, Amen, let's face a lot

of people are gonna envy us. A lot of people are gonna be jealous,

a lot of people Why her? And why her? Because it's just

so how God operates public reward for private prayers. He doesn't want us to

be like the hypocrites, those who are out there. I'm so and so,

the gospel and share our testimony, and men, some people are not willing

to share the testimony because of privacy, and I understand that. But when

you're in your private time with the Lord, asks them how would God want

you to share your testimony? And then He'll give you instructions, Hey share

this, don't share that. You know what I mean, like, you'll

get it because we have a heavenly father who's able to hear us and to

respond to what we ask for. And as a matter of fact, the

scripture says, the Father knows what you need before you ask them, So

wear in good hands. Right. So the reality is we could build the

strongest, most meaningful connections with our families in the private moments, the moments

that they don't see us crying, the moments when they don't see us laughing,

the moments when people listen. Everything does have to be on social media,

especially your prayer time, your prayer life. I have friends, close

friends and people that admire that are having public prayer sessions. I praise them

for that, Amen, But I guarantee you they have a personal, private

prayer life. Then they're not going to share publicly because unless the lawyer asks

them or tells them to do so, they will. But we see the

scripture Jesus said, don't do that. Don't be like the hypocrites showing your

stuff and praying these flowery prayers to try to convince or try to impress people.

The only one I'm trying to please is the Lord Jesus, and the

only way you can please him is through faith. And have a prayer life,

a personal, private prayer life. You'll get public re rewarded for it.
