- 0:00Speaker 1: Mark Zimo on seventeen omar, hey a lot, I get
- 0:08Speaker 1: to this hour.
- 0:10Speaker 2: If you're a Democratic voter, today is primary day, just
- 0:14Speaker 2: Democratic primary. Some big races in New York City. That fat,
- 0:19Speaker 2: waddling slob, Jerry Nadler leaving, such a ridiculous figure, such
- 0:27Speaker 2: a ridiculous guy. But he's leaving. There's a lot of
- 0:29Speaker 2: people running for his seat, including Jack Schlosberg, who's that
- 0:35Speaker 2: wacko Kennedy kid. He's a son of Caroline Kennedy and
- 0:42Speaker 2: not the nicest person in the world. And then that
- 0:45Speaker 2: terrible husband, Hers Schlosberg. This is their kid, Jack Schlosberg.
- 0:49Speaker 2: If you check his past his social media, he behaves
- 0:53Speaker 2: like an absolute raving lunatic on social media, although I
- 0:58Speaker 2: think he's taken down some of those. But a nutty guy,
- 1:01Speaker 2: perfect for Democrats, So he's got a good shot today.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Now you got Dan Goldman, the congressman who is one
- 1:09Speaker 2: of the most annoying guys in the world. Mister fake news,
- 1:12Speaker 2: makes all kinds of false claims on Sunday Shows. That
- 1:15Speaker 2: kind of a guy. But he's running against Brad Lander.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Now Brad Lander is just as bad. So I don't know.
- 1:23Speaker 2: I mean, if I had a pick between the let
- 1:25Speaker 2: Lander and Goldman. I don't know, you lose either way.
- 1:29Speaker 2: They're just two horrible guys, but they're running against each other.
- 1:34Speaker 2: The Lander most people think it has a slight edge
- 1:37Speaker 2: there and may win. Now. Mom Donnie endorsed a bunch
- 1:41Speaker 2: of candidates, obviously crazy socialist left wing kooks. But it'll
- 1:47Speaker 2: be interesting to see what happens tonight to see if
- 1:50Speaker 2: Mom Donnie has any coattails, has any influence any sway
- 1:53Speaker 2: with voters. So we'll find out that tomorrow when this
- 1:57Speaker 2: is all over. You heard that story in the news
- 2:01Speaker 2: about The View. The View is that wacky show on
- 2:05Speaker 2: ABC in the middle of the daytime. It's more like
- 2:07Speaker 2: a game show. It's produced as an entertainment show. It's
- 2:11Speaker 2: joy behar and it used to be able to name
- 2:14Speaker 2: the whole cast. Can't do that anymore. But the ABC
- 2:16Speaker 2: is trying to get it declared a news show. They
- 2:23Speaker 2: only have. It used to be a well balanced show.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Barbara Walters created The View. Barbara Walters ran The View,
- 2:31Speaker 2: and when Barbara Walters ran things, you'd have Democrats on,
- 2:34Speaker 2: you'd have Republicans on. Once Barbara Walters was gone, the
- 2:39Speaker 2: show was hijacked by the kookie left wing hosts and
- 2:41Speaker 2: now it's a very left wing show, absolutely totally one sided, biased.
- 2:49Speaker 2: But they wanted to be declared a news show. That
- 2:52Speaker 2: way they can have on whoever they want, and it
- 2:56Speaker 2: gives them some protections. The problem is if they get
- 3:01Speaker 2: it declared a news show. You know, they're worried that
- 3:04Speaker 2: the FCC is trying to come after them and all this,
- 3:06Speaker 2: but once they've declared a news show, the FCC can
- 3:09Speaker 2: come after them even more. I don't think they've realized
- 3:12Speaker 2: they broadcast a lot of fake news on the View.
- 3:15Speaker 2: You know, a lot of the crazy, wacko, totally false
- 3:17Speaker 2: talking points that many Democrats use are all over the View.
- 3:22Speaker 2: So if they get themselves declared a news show and
- 3:25Speaker 2: start broadcasting fake information, false information, the government can come
- 3:30Speaker 2: after them. Remember Trump has already won a massive lawsuit
- 3:34Speaker 2: against ABC News for false information that they broadcast. He
- 3:38Speaker 2: won was it sixteen million? They had to pay him
- 3:41Speaker 2: to make that go away, So keep an eye on
- 3:44Speaker 2: that fight. If you're a Democrat, cover your ears for
- 3:47Speaker 2: a minute, and I want you to hear this. You're not
- 3:49Speaker 2: gonna like this, you know, let me.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Just check it.
- 3:51Speaker 2: The latest oil prices dropping yet hit seventy two, almost
- 3:58Speaker 2: seventy three, but it's in the very very low seventies
- 4:01Speaker 2: per barrel. Pre war it was in the high sixties,
- 4:05Speaker 2: so it's almost back to pre war prices. Gas will
- 4:08Speaker 2: be three fifty a gallon by fourth of July. It's
- 4:11Speaker 2: about three a national average three seventy a gallon. You
- 4:14Speaker 2: pay more here in New York California because that's all
- 4:17Speaker 2: state fees, state charges, state tax timpting in California. But
- 4:23Speaker 2: it's about three seventy a gallon all over the country,
- 4:26Speaker 2: about to hit three point fifty, which is what it
- 4:29Speaker 2: was before the war. Did you understand that Damason Square
- 4:32Speaker 2: Gardens story that poor guy fell from the top off
- 4:37Speaker 2: this bridge one hundred and fifty feet into the seats
- 4:42Speaker 2: and died. He was this video that has now come
- 4:45Speaker 2: out of the emergency responders frantically trying to save this guy.
- 4:50Speaker 2: He was fifty one years old. He was a dad
- 4:52Speaker 2: from Connecticut and he worked in the energy business. I
- 4:58Speaker 2: think he's married his son. They wanted to go to
- 5:03Speaker 2: this concert. Actually it's an energy management company, smart Con Solutions.
- 5:08Speaker 2: He was director of operations. They're from Niantic Connecticut, and
- 5:15Speaker 2: he was celebrating his twenty fifth wedding anniversary. Oh, his
- 5:18Speaker 2: wife was with him too. With his wife, they went
- 5:21Speaker 2: to the Goose concert and he fell from what they
- 5:25Speaker 2: call the Chase Bridge because Chase, the bank, Chase is
- 5:30Speaker 2: a sponsor. It's now called the Chase Bridge. Used to
- 5:33Speaker 2: be called the skybridge. But you got the seats, you
- 5:36Speaker 2: got all that stuff, and then way up above it's
- 5:38Speaker 2: like a it's like a bridge that has seats on
- 5:41Speaker 2: it and you can watch from up there, and it
- 5:43Speaker 2: has like a little glass wall that's about i don't know,
- 5:47Speaker 2: four four feet high, five feet high, four feet high.
- 5:51Speaker 2: And apparently he wanted to go to the bathroom. He
- 5:54Speaker 2: told his wife he'd be back. Started walking along that
- 5:57Speaker 2: very very long skybridge, and something happened and he fell
- 6:02Speaker 2: over it. I mean it is dark, there's a concert
- 6:04Speaker 2: going on, and he fell over it, and the wife
- 6:06Speaker 2: was getting worried. Ten or fifteen minutes he hadn't come
- 6:09Speaker 2: back from the bathroom. And you know, you go to
- 6:12Speaker 2: those concerts, that band is so loud you can't hear anything,
- 6:15Speaker 2: so nobody heard all the commotion down below. Emergency workers
- 6:19Speaker 2: frantically trying to save the guy plunged one hundred and
- 6:23Speaker 2: fifty feet to his death and they couldn't save him.
- 6:27Speaker 2: They took him to the hospital where he was declared dead,
- 6:30Speaker 2: and then they realized he was with people. They had
- 6:33Speaker 2: to go find his wife and tell her what happened.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Unbelievable tragedy. So this skybridge, it's a walkway that suspended
- 6:45Speaker 2: seven hundred and sixty four feet up above the stage,
- 6:49Speaker 2: but the lower level below is about one hundred and
- 6:53Speaker 2: fifty feet. The next level down is about one hundred
- 6:56Speaker 2: and fifty feet and that's where he fell. Just horrible
- 7:00Speaker 2: rouble story. Hey, if you didn't get in on the
- 7:03Speaker 2: SpaceX ipo and you wanted to get in, it was
- 7:06Speaker 2: about what was it, one thirty five It debuted at
- 7:09Speaker 2: and it went up. It's come down a little, it's
- 7:13Speaker 2: down about sixteen percent because SpaceX has declared they're going
- 7:18Speaker 2: to take on a lot of debt to finance new stuff.
- 7:22Speaker 2: They're going to raise about twenty billion in debt. They're
- 7:25Speaker 2: going to sell bonds. They want to spend this money
- 7:27Speaker 2: on AI. You know, you don't realize how much this
- 7:29Speaker 2: AI cost. These companies mean to develop all the AI
- 7:33Speaker 2: stuff they need, They got to go out and spend
- 7:35Speaker 2: twenty thirty forty billion on ai SO stock close at
- 7:40Speaker 2: one fifty four yesterday, which gives it a market cap
- 7:45Speaker 2: now two trillion, two trillion dollars this company. Hey, remember
- 7:50Speaker 2: we're talking about the golf tournament Long Island Shinnecock, the
- 7:53Speaker 2: US Open. How bad the fans are in Long Island.
- 7:57Speaker 2: They're not used to a golf tournament where even the
- 8:00Speaker 2: announce your whispers, you know, the golf announcer actually talks
- 8:03Speaker 2: like this, You're supposed to whisper at it golf. To me,
- 8:05Speaker 2: this was really a noise. But it's Long Island. So
- 8:07Speaker 2: they hoot and holler. The fans yell and scream, they
- 8:10Speaker 2: heckle the players. Apparently the Golf channel, the analyst said,
- 8:16Speaker 2: Long Island fans put a stain on the game. They're
- 8:20Speaker 2: unruly behavior. You know how when Tiger would hit the
- 8:25Speaker 2: ball they go getting the hold. Well, these fans were
- 8:28Speaker 2: young getting a bunker. They were just hackling and yelling
- 8:30Speaker 2: and screaming. And apparently there's a movement within golf world
- 8:35Speaker 2: among players and others to ban Long Island from any
- 8:39Speaker 2: having any more golf tournaments. I love Long Island but
- 8:44Speaker 2: they do get a little crazy, those fans out there,
- 8:46Speaker 2: So there might be let'll see where this goes. With
- 8:50Speaker 2: all the people in golf pushing for this, there might
- 8:53Speaker 2: be a ban on any more tournaments in Long Island.
- 8:56Speaker 2: They just can't take the fans out there. Well, there's
- 9:01Speaker 2: a new phenomenon. Once in a while, someone would get
- 9:05Speaker 2: very very hot and people would wait in the line.
- 9:06Speaker 2: You know, if somebody had the best pizza, it'd be
- 9:10Speaker 2: a little bit of a line, if somebody had the
- 9:13Speaker 2: best something, it's a little bit of a line. Well,
- 9:15Speaker 2: now with Instagram, and this is really taken off in
- 9:18Speaker 2: the last year. Something instantly becomes an Instagram phenomenon. Like
- 9:26Speaker 2: you know Ferrara Pizza in Brooklyn, it's always very good.
- 9:29Speaker 2: You'd have to wait. Well, now with Instagram, like eighty
- 9:33Speaker 2: seven thousand influencers posted and it's not just a line.
- 9:38Speaker 2: It's a line of two blocks, and then they post
- 9:41Speaker 2: video of the line every day and when people see
- 9:44Speaker 2: the line, it goes even crazier. And it's been going
- 9:46Speaker 2: on now for a year where it just gets crazier
- 9:49Speaker 2: and crazier and crazier. Bubbies in Tribeca had those great
- 9:54Speaker 2: pancakes those those James Beard pancakes with all the stuff
- 9:59Speaker 2: the blueberries on. They're very good. They're not the greatest pancakes,
- 10:03Speaker 2: but they're very good. And sometimes you have to wait
- 10:06Speaker 2: ten minutes. Well, now with Instagram, everybody's put up those
- 10:10Speaker 2: pancakes and now the line is a two and a
- 10:12Speaker 2: half hour wait. And this is happening everywhere, all over
- 10:16Speaker 2: the place, with all kinds of things. The latest was
- 10:19Speaker 2: dot cake. Butterfield's Markets starts selling the dot cake. You
- 10:23Speaker 2: got to line up and stay in line for two
- 10:26Speaker 2: hours to get the stupid it's little cake and a
- 10:28Speaker 2: cup with sprinkles all over it. And the line is
- 10:33Speaker 2: the thing now. And you know where a line used
- 10:35Speaker 2: to be considered an ugly thing, a bad thing. Remember
- 10:39Speaker 2: the Seinfeld episode where they had to wait for the
- 10:42Speaker 2: whole episode that to wait for like a half hour
- 10:44Speaker 2: in a Chinese restaurant to sit down. It was something awful.
- 10:47Speaker 2: They were miserable, they were frustrated, they were complaining. Well,
- 10:52Speaker 2: this Instagram TikTok phenomenon has changed everything. Now people enjoy
- 10:57Speaker 2: the line. The line is the thing. They are looking
- 11:00Speaker 2: for a line to stand in. It's no longer a
- 11:03Speaker 2: bad thing when they see whatever place is the hot
- 11:06Speaker 2: thing with a line and a two hour weight, people
- 11:09Speaker 2: flock to go be in that two hour weight, whether
- 11:12Speaker 2: it's dot cakes, whether it's certain pastries, whether it's a
- 11:15Speaker 2: certain pasta. So it's no longer about convenience, it's about
- 11:18Speaker 2: fomo fear of missing out. So the weight itself has
- 11:23Speaker 2: become part of the product. The line is the destination,
- 11:26Speaker 2: according to this psychological analysis. In this concrete jungle that
- 11:31Speaker 2: is now obsessed with exclusivity, scarcity has become a status symbol.
- 11:37Speaker 2: If everyone can just walk in and get it, it's
- 11:39Speaker 2: not special. If you gotta wait for two hours in
- 11:42Speaker 2: a line, then it's special. Then it's important. So and
- 11:48Speaker 2: it's easy to do. You know that dot cake, it's
- 11:51Speaker 2: made by a company in Rosalin called dot Cake Butterfields,
- 11:55Speaker 2: and it's only two three days a week they have it.
- 11:56Speaker 2: You got to wait in the line, they give you
- 11:58Speaker 2: a number. It's an incredible phenomenon to watch and then
- 12:03Speaker 2: you get it. It's okay, it's not that great. And
- 12:05Speaker 2: if you go into just the regular Butterfields Bakery section,
- 12:09Speaker 2: they got fifty things that are better than that dot cake.
- 12:13Speaker 2: If you're in Connecticut, just go to Stu Leonards. He
- 12:15Speaker 2: makes his own version of it's probably actually higher quality.
- 12:17Speaker 2: There's no line, you just walk in and get it.
- 12:19Speaker 2: But that's not good. You gotta have everybody wants this line.
- 12:22Speaker 2: If there's no line around the block, if there's no
- 12:25Speaker 2: two hour wait, can't be good. So hey, my friend
- 12:29Speaker 2: Mitch Modell had a big press conference yesterday to announce
- 12:33Speaker 2: he's making a comeback online number Modell's, Modell's Sporting Goods.
- 12:38Speaker 2: They were everywhere. There were one hundred and fifty three
- 12:40Speaker 2: models all over the New York area. They had this
- 12:43Speaker 2: great jingle that it was just everybody knows this nod go,
- 12:49Speaker 2: the loves.
- 12:53Speaker 4: The moves.
- 12:57Speaker 2: And then Modell's went out of business. This is what happens.
- 13:01Speaker 2: A lot of things happened. People started, you know, most
- 13:03Speaker 2: of the stuff you could buy in a sporting goods
- 13:05Speaker 2: store people now buy online. So retail was dying, and
- 13:09Speaker 2: then that Dick's Sporting Goods came along and put every local,
- 13:13Speaker 2: regional thing out of business. Now you might go online
- 13:17Speaker 2: and see, well, wait, there's still a Model's. It's online.
- 13:19Speaker 2: It's not Model's. There's a company that when a big
- 13:25Speaker 2: block chain store, you know block stores when they go
- 13:28Speaker 2: out of business. This company comes along and buys the names.
- 13:32Speaker 2: So if you go online you'll see, oh, there's a
- 13:34Speaker 2: bed Beth and Beyond. It is still here. It's online.
- 13:36Speaker 2: It's not Bedbath and Beyond. Somebody bought the name and
- 13:39Speaker 2: they're using it online. Same thing with Modell's, and there
- 13:42Speaker 2: were a lot of stores that are no long around.
- 13:44Speaker 2: This company buys the names, turns it into a website,
- 13:47Speaker 2: so it's not the real Model's. But Mitch Modell himself
- 13:51Speaker 2: is back. He's selling The first thing is a Nis
- 13:53Speaker 2: New York T shirt. Just go to Mitchellmodell's dot com.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Mitchellmodell's dot com. You know about the algae in the pool,
- 14:03Speaker 2: President Trump, the Reflecting Pool, which is a great monument
- 14:08Speaker 2: in Washington, DC, was all decayed, ugly. It was a mess.
- 14:12Speaker 2: And you know, it's just like the Woman rink. When
- 14:15Speaker 2: the government tries to fix something cost two hundred million dollars,
- 14:18Speaker 2: takes twenty years. Trump got it fixed in like six weeks,
- 14:24Speaker 2: you know, for like one hundred thousand. That was it.
- 14:27Speaker 2: So same thing with the reflecting pool. Now this is
- 14:29Speaker 2: a much bigger project. It's much bigger than the Woman Rink.
- 14:32Speaker 2: But gotta remember Donald Trump is a professional pool builder.
- 14:37Speaker 2: He has dozens and dozens and dozens and dozens of
- 14:40Speaker 2: resorts all over the world. He's built hundreds of swimming pools.
- 14:44Speaker 2: He knows how to do it. So he rebuilt the thing,
- 14:47Speaker 2: and then they like to attack it. It's the wrong color,
- 14:49Speaker 2: it's the wrong shade of blue, it's whatever. And then
- 14:53Speaker 2: it's got algae all over it. There's algae all over
- 14:55Speaker 2: the place. So they're finding that people were throwing things
- 14:59Speaker 2: into to the pool to create the algae. Apparently you
- 15:02Speaker 2: can throw fertilizer in there, it'll create algae. And people
- 15:07Speaker 2: were getting in there, and there was even one guy
- 15:10Speaker 2: who's an Olympic canoe champ was in this, got in
- 15:12Speaker 2: the pool and was cutting up the liner. About sixteen
- 15:15Speaker 2: people have been arrested. They will be prosecuted like crazy.
- 15:20Speaker 2: But reporters love to attack Trump. You spent millions, ten
- 15:22Speaker 2: million on the pool, and it's not right. But they
- 15:26Speaker 2: never mentioned that Obama had spent like a hundred million
- 15:29Speaker 2: and got nowhere. There's Trump fighting with a reporter.
- 15:32Speaker 4: Brock Fussein Obama. Have you ever heard of them? He
- 15:34Speaker 4: spent two years and over one hundred million dollars on
- 15:38Speaker 4: trying to fix it. You know what happened to it
- 15:40Speaker 4: never even opened. He took the water for the river.
- 15:43Speaker 4: You know about that, right, It turned out to be
- 15:45Speaker 4: putrid and it destroyed the whole thing. Spent over one
- 15:49Speaker 4: hundred million him and Biden together spent one hundred and
- 15:52Speaker 4: forty seven million dollars.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it's the problem is these reporters don't realize how
- 15:57Speaker 2: much Trump knows about construction, about building. If you watch
- 16:00Speaker 2: the whole exchange, it's too long to play, it's like
- 16:02Speaker 2: ten minutes. But he's trying to attack Trump. Trump went
- 16:05Speaker 2: into such excruciating detail on the construction of that pool.
- 16:09Speaker 2: He knew every little thing. There's a great news piece
- 16:13Speaker 2: somewhere where the guy's walking around the Trump course in
- 16:18Speaker 2: the in the clubhouse, and he tries to trick Trump
- 16:23Speaker 2: what kind of glasses that? And Trump went into detail
- 16:25Speaker 2: about exactly what kind of glass, how it's made, how
- 16:28Speaker 2: it's installed. You could point to anything in his building,
- 16:31Speaker 2: like the piece of molding up there. He could tell
- 16:34Speaker 2: you for ten minutes of exactly how that molding is made,
- 16:36Speaker 2: where it comes from. He knows this stuff. But this
- 16:40Speaker 2: is the new thing now the pool, picking on the pool,
- 16:43Speaker 2: the algae. It's if you watch MS now or CNN,
- 16:47Speaker 2: you'll see ten minute segments on the algae in the pool. Hey,
- 16:51Speaker 2: we'll take some calls. Next. Eight hundred three to two
- 16:54Speaker 2: one zero seven. Ten is the number. Eight hundred three
- 16:58Speaker 2: to two one zero seven Live from the WR Live
- 17:03Speaker 2: Back Studios, Mark Simon, that's me. Let's go to uh
- 17:09Speaker 2: Jim in Connecticut. Jim, How you doing.
- 17:13Speaker 5: Pretty good? Mark. I'm a big fan for many years,
- 17:15Speaker 5: and I thoroughly enjoyed your show back in the nineties
- 17:18Speaker 5: about Frank Sinatra. But I have a question for you
- 17:21Speaker 5: about maybe some of your contemporaries back then. Yes, whatever
- 17:24Speaker 5: happened to Jay Diamond and whatever happened to Lynn Samuels.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Lynn Samuels passed away, I'd say two thousand and five
- 17:34Speaker 2: or six. Yeah, Lynn Samuels died. Jay Diamond I haven't
- 17:38Speaker 2: seen a long time. I remember what he was doing.
- 17:42Speaker 2: I left the radio, but I don't know what he's doing.
- 17:46Speaker 2: Lost touch with him.
- 17:46Speaker 5: Oh okay, Yeah, that was it, and so continue success. Mark.
- 17:50Speaker 5: I love the show.
- 17:51Speaker 2: And other names where I have something to say, Lynn Samuel.
- 17:57Speaker 5: Can't think of it. You're off the top of my
- 17:59Speaker 5: head right now, Mark, but you the best of the best.
- 18:01Speaker 2: Thank you, thanks a lot. Thanks take care. Let's go
- 18:03Speaker 2: to Justin and fair Lawn. Justin, how you doing.
- 18:07Speaker 5: Oh, pleasure to speak with you. Mark. Race show is
- 18:10Speaker 5: always when you were talking about the long lines for food,
- 18:15Speaker 5: I'm thinking of an episode with the Soup Nazi. I
- 18:17Speaker 5: think I might have been influenced by that.
- 18:20Speaker 2: What are your thoughts, Well, that's a good question. The
- 18:23Speaker 2: Soup Nazi, it was right up there over in the
- 18:25Speaker 2: fifty fifth had the greatest soup in the world. But
- 18:28Speaker 2: you waited in line for twenty minutes, not two hours.
- 18:32Speaker 2: But that's it's a good point. There was no Instagram
- 18:36Speaker 2: back then. Soup Nazi was in the nineties, and had
- 18:39Speaker 2: there been an Instagram, it was just a little stand.
- 18:42Speaker 2: It wasn't even a store. It was just a little
- 18:44Speaker 2: tiny stand with the Soup Nazi and two assistants behind him,
- 18:49Speaker 2: and he would personally like do all the soup himself
- 18:52Speaker 2: with that ladle and put it in the cup. But
- 18:55Speaker 2: if there were Instagram, he would have had three four
- 18:58Speaker 2: hour lines. It would have gone nuts. So we had
- 19:01Speaker 2: all this great stuff back then, but no Instagram to
- 19:03Speaker 2: cause massive lines. Let's go to Rich and Myrtle Beach.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Rich how you doing?
- 19:08Speaker 6: Hey? Thanks Mark, I wouldn't wait fifteen minutes on line
- 19:11Speaker 6: to stamps. These people dead are kind of people that,
- 19:13Speaker 6: when you're sitting on the beach all by yourself and
- 19:15Speaker 6: there's nobody around, will take that chance and sit fifteen
- 19:18Speaker 6: feet from you because nobody can stand to be alone.
- 19:21Speaker 6: You know, it's funny you mentioned I can't believe I
- 19:24Speaker 6: heard the Grateful Dead a couple of times on the
- 19:26Speaker 6: show today. You should ask and Calter next time she's on.
- 19:29Speaker 6: She's a big dead head and been looking at them
- 19:31Speaker 6: and following them for a long time, you know.
- 19:33Speaker 2: But Grateful Dead, what the hell is it about them?
- 19:38Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 19:39Speaker 6: Why they're the best cover band that ever lived because
- 19:41Speaker 6: they wouldn't even play the role music sometimes. But as
- 19:44Speaker 6: far as golf, the long Island walk, how can you
- 19:46Speaker 6: can screen your head off when a guy's trying to
- 19:48Speaker 6: hit one hundred mile an hour fastball, but you can't
- 19:50Speaker 6: say a word when a guy's sitting the ball is
- 19:52Speaker 6: sitting still.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Well that's a good point. No, it's not a bad point.
- 19:57Speaker 2: It might make golf more interesting if they let the
- 19:59Speaker 2: fans yellings.
- 20:00Speaker 6: Yeah, as far as Jay Diamond, my buddy Bob detect
- 20:05Speaker 6: New York City detective live in San Diego. I think
- 20:08Speaker 6: he talks to Jay Diamond all the time. I think
- 20:10Speaker 6: those guys are buddies.
- 20:10Speaker 2: So all right, Well, that's good, good to know he's well,
- 20:13Speaker 2: all right, thanks for calling. Yeah, I don't know. You know,
- 20:16Speaker 2: golf is always a very quiet game where they announcer
- 20:18Speaker 2: whisper a few I don't know if you start yelling
- 20:22Speaker 2: and scree I guess the idea was it distracts the player.
- 20:26Speaker 2: But so what so what if Aaron Judge can swing distracted?
- 20:30Speaker 2: Let these guys swing distracted. Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent,
- 20:33Speaker 2: we only got a minute.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Okay, good morning Marco. Morning Mark. Is since the reflecting
- 20:40Speaker 3: pool is not a swimming pool proper, Trump could just
- 20:43Speaker 3: use anti fouling paint, right Rich, that they use on
- 20:46Speaker 3: the bottom of boats and it releases coppa and the
- 20:50Speaker 3: algae doesn't grow. That's what boats use on the bottom,
- 20:53Speaker 3: so the bottom doesn't get fouled.
- 20:55Speaker 6: Mark.
- 20:56Speaker 3: I'm sure you didn't hear the opening speech that this
- 21:00Speaker 3: woman gave it the opening of the brock Obama Museum
- 21:03Speaker 3: she praised about Valeriejarrett. Yeah, well, yeah, she was talking
- 21:07Speaker 3: about all the Indian.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Tribes, stolen land and all that.
- 21:11Speaker 3: So why didn't they named the museum the ba BA
- 21:15Speaker 3: BarackObama Museum, name all the tribes that they stole the
- 21:20Speaker 3: land from.
- 21:20Speaker 2: I like that, all right, Vincent, great call, Thanks for calling.
- 21:23Speaker 2: When we come back, Bill O'Reilly will be with us
- 21:26Speaker 2: next lots to talk to him about coming up on
- 21:28Speaker 2: seven to ten. Wo R. Please get back to the
- 21:32Speaker 2: Mark Simone Show.
- 21:33Speaker 5: I wr.
- 21:36Speaker 6: Well.
- 21:36Speaker 2: Bill O'Reilly has been the number one TV anchor for decades,
- 21:40Speaker 2: the number one best selling non fiction author on Earth.
- 21:43Speaker 2: He's got a great YouTube channel. You should be watching
- 21:46Speaker 2: Bill O'Reilly on YouTube. He's got an excellent new podcast
- 21:49Speaker 2: called We'll Do It Live that comes out every week.
- 21:51Speaker 2: And of course you got the regular show and the
- 21:54Speaker 2: column and everything's at Bill O'Reilly dot com. You get
- 21:57Speaker 2: a link to everything there Bill O'Reilly dot com. Bill O'Reilly,
- 22:01Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 22:03Speaker 1: We got Gene Simmons coming up on Thursday. He's quite
- 22:07Speaker 1: a character boy.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Very good guy. Excellent. You know the Yeah, first interview
- 22:14Speaker 2: I ever did, I was a little twenty one year
- 22:17Speaker 2: old baby DJ first celebrity interview ever was Gene Simmons,
- 22:20Speaker 2: and he couldn't have been nicer. He could see I
- 22:22Speaker 2: didn't know what the hell I was doing.
- 22:24Speaker 3: And you know, he's the guy.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Goes against the rock industry. He plays.
- 22:36Speaker 3: And they accept it.
- 22:37Speaker 1: He's one of the few that doesn't get punished for
- 22:41Speaker 1: his h i'd say traditional views. I don't think he's
- 22:46Speaker 1: a conservative, but.
- 22:50Speaker 3: They like him out there.
- 22:51Speaker 1: He's certainly The interview is pretty all over the place.
- 22:57Speaker 1: You'll enjoy it.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Yeah, and it comes out tomorrow Thursday.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Yeah, we drop it on Thursday.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Well, that'll be great. Hey, what is ABC the network?
- 23:07Speaker 2: They're running these commercials all over ABC TV, but the
- 23:10Speaker 2: SEC is trying to shut us down. What the hell
- 23:12Speaker 2: are they talking about?
- 23:15Speaker 1: Yeah, I was surprised that Disney took this tack. They're
- 23:21Speaker 1: trying to convince ABC viewers that the government wants to
- 23:25Speaker 1: program ABC, and they're taken out a whole bunch of
- 23:29Speaker 1: stuff on WABC TV in New York and their other
- 23:33Speaker 1: owned affiliated stations.
- 23:36Speaker 3: I was surprised.
- 23:37Speaker 1: I mean, why do you want to continue to antagonize
- 23:41Speaker 1: the Trump administration. What people don't understand is this the
- 23:47Speaker 1: four networks per se, ABC, CBS, NBC and PBS. They
- 23:55Speaker 1: use the public airways, so we pay, we the people,
- 24:02Speaker 1: we pay for their corporations.
- 24:06Speaker 3: Now cable does it.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Because cable is something that you choose to buy, or
- 24:12Speaker 1: any of the social media stuff. You choose it. I
- 24:16Speaker 1: want this, here's my money, and then it comes into
- 24:19Speaker 1: your house, not the Big four. So the government has
- 24:23Speaker 1: some regulation over those four operations. And for Disney to
- 24:29Speaker 1: say that it's fair or that it's doing a public
- 24:33Speaker 1: service by hiring a bunch of Trump assassins, and I
- 24:38Speaker 1: mean that in a figurative way, not literally. But they
- 24:42Speaker 1: every day they come in and they try to tear
- 24:44Speaker 1: them up, and all you would have to do if
- 24:47Speaker 1: you were the CEO of did he says, you know, look,
- 24:49Speaker 1: I don't mind you tearing them up, but we're going
- 24:51Speaker 1: to have somebody that supports them too.
- 24:54Speaker 3: They don't do that, and so therefore the federal government.
- 24:59Speaker 1: The f SEE is saying, this is an abuse. You're
- 25:04Speaker 1: taking the taxpayer money, using the airwaves that are public
- 25:09Speaker 1: to brutalize a political party and a president of the
- 25:14Speaker 1: United States. We're not gonna let you do that. And
- 25:17Speaker 1: that's what the controversy is all about yeah.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Hey, also the View they're trying to get themselves declared
- 25:24Speaker 2: a news program.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Well, they are a news program under the Disney banner
- 25:31Speaker 1: because of Barbara Walters. And so Barbara Walters was the
- 25:35Speaker 1: execut producer of the View and she was a bonafide journalist,
- 25:41Speaker 1: and so they slapped the show under the budget. It's
- 25:46Speaker 1: all about money of ABC News. They pay Barbara Sowary,
- 25:51Speaker 1: they pay any travel all that. So that has been
- 25:54Speaker 1: that way since very beginning. But what happened was when
- 25:59Speaker 1: miss Walter just passed, then the loons took over. Yeah,
- 26:04Speaker 1: and now it's a it's crazy land there and again,
- 26:08Speaker 1: who's running Disney? Do you have eyes and ears mine?
- 26:13Speaker 1: It's ridiculous.
- 26:15Speaker 2: It used to be a normal balance show. You were
- 26:18Speaker 2: on that many times, weren't you. They used to have
- 26:20Speaker 2: you on.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I had no problems once Walters was there, would
- 26:26Speaker 1: be Goldberg once sent me flowers because she likes something
- 26:29Speaker 1: I said. Baylar has always been a problem. Nasty, absolutely
- 26:36Speaker 1: nasty human being. But the others weren't, you know, in
- 26:42Speaker 1: the hate zone. They were all liberal, even Barbara was liberal.
- 26:49Speaker 1: But they didn't push it, push it, push it, and
- 26:52Speaker 1: they would bring in people like me that would give
- 26:54Speaker 1: another side to it. Of course, Goldberg and Baylar walked
- 26:58Speaker 1: off the stage and I was on the at least
- 27:01Speaker 1: I got booked.
- 27:05Speaker 2: So, hey, what's happening in the UK? The Prime Minister out,
- 27:08Speaker 2: Now what does this mean for the rest of us?
- 27:11Speaker 1: So I went over to London three weeks ago to
- 27:13Speaker 1: do a special for News Nation entitled the Siege of
- 27:17Speaker 1: London Could be the Siege of the UK. And what
- 27:21Speaker 1: this is all about is England is a country or
- 27:26Speaker 1: the UK that includes northern Ireland. Where else Scotland seventy
- 27:31Speaker 1: million people. Okay, we have three point fifty here, seventy
- 27:36Speaker 1: million people, out of whom immigration now is about fifteen
- 27:42Speaker 1: to twenty percent because they let everybody in. And it
- 27:47Speaker 1: was I flew to London from Cork, Ireland and on
- 27:53Speaker 1: a air LINGUS jet I landed, I was in the
- 27:58Speaker 1: car in I would say six minutes. There were no customs,
- 28:07Speaker 1: no passport control, nothing, what you just walked right through,
- 28:13Speaker 1: right into the parking lone amazing and I was stunned.
- 28:17Speaker 1: I've never seen that in I've been in eighty six countries.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Nobody checked anything, and so millions of migrants, mostly from
- 28:27Speaker 1: the Middle East and North Africa and Pakistan and that
- 28:31Speaker 1: area of South Asia, have come to England.
- 28:35Speaker 3: But here's the rub.
- 28:37Speaker 1: As soon as they get on English soil, they get
- 28:39Speaker 1: all the entitlements from the socialistic society. They have free
- 28:44Speaker 1: medical care. So you are granny up in the midlands
- 28:49Speaker 1: of England and you have a condition and you're used
- 28:52Speaker 1: to seeing your doctor every two weeks, you can't see
- 28:56Speaker 1: your doctor for two months now because appointments are booked
- 29:01Speaker 1: by the migrants. They're going nuts. People are going absolutely crazy.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Sixty Sharia courts in UK now six zero Sharia courts.
- 29:14Speaker 1: There's civil courts, but that means you can marry your cousin,
- 29:18Speaker 1: you know, you can do all this crazy stuff. And
- 29:22Speaker 1: the British government doesn't get involved. They let the Muslims
- 29:26Speaker 1: do the civil stuff theirselves. I mean, nobody's any seen
- 29:31Speaker 1: anything like it. That's what collapsed the labor government in England.
- 29:38Speaker 1: Because I lived in England way back for a year's
- 29:42Speaker 1: totally one hundred percent different place.
- 29:44Speaker 2: So the pre ministers, does this mean this is the
- 29:47Speaker 2: beginning of the end of all this nonsense.
- 29:50Speaker 1: No, they can't fix it, so there'll be another guy
- 29:54Speaker 1: in their handy, somebody I don't even know. So Sturmer's
- 30:01Speaker 1: out so Andy from Manchester sounds like a radio caller.
- 30:08Speaker 1: He's supposed to be going to be head of a
- 30:09Speaker 1: labor party. But they can't fix it because there's just
- 30:13Speaker 1: too many migrants there. Although in the EU they just
- 30:17Speaker 1: passed a law. I guess it's a law.
- 30:20Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Their system is so crazy where they're gonna fast track
- 30:26Speaker 1: migrant deportations.
- 30:28Speaker 3: I didn't get any.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Coverage here in the United States. That happened over the weekend,
- 30:34Speaker 1: and it was a big vote. It was a landslide
- 30:36Speaker 1: vote because all the countries in the EU are suffering
- 30:41Speaker 1: the same maladies because they're all socialist countries giving away everything.
- 30:46Speaker 3: And when you have.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Millions of migrants coming in, then your indigenous people don't
- 30:52Speaker 1: get as much as they used to get.
- 30:55Speaker 2: So But if let's say in Nigel Farage gets in
- 30:58Speaker 2: and he finds himself a time, I'm home and type,
- 31:00Speaker 2: because they can fix it at.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Some point, I'd be really hard with the British court system.
- 31:08Speaker 1: You know, he can say he wants to do it,
- 31:12Speaker 1: but I tell you they're entrenched. The wagons are entrenched,
- 31:17Speaker 1: they be in court. It would take forever. They'd be hiding.
- 31:24Speaker 1: As I said, nobody knows who's there. They didn't know
- 31:27Speaker 1: it was in the country.
- 31:29Speaker 3: Fish coming didn't know.
- 31:31Speaker 1: I could have done anything, all right, And then when
- 31:36Speaker 1: I left, nobody nobody knew either. It was only when
- 31:39Speaker 1: I got to Kennedy Airport they said who are you?
- 31:42Speaker 1: And I said, you know who I am? And the
- 31:45Speaker 1: guy laughed. And so it would be very, very hard
- 31:50Speaker 1: to round them all up, that's for sure.
- 31:52Speaker 2: Yeah, this is very upsetting. Well, Bill O'Reilly, we're out
- 31:55Speaker 2: of time, but hey, everybody check Bill O'Reilly dot com
- 31:58Speaker 2: and get the TV show, the car, them the books,
- 32:01Speaker 2: and make sure you watch his YouTube channel, Bill O'Reilly
- 32:04Speaker 2: on YouTube, and make sure you watch the new podcast
- 32:06Speaker 2: We'll do It Live. The Gene Simmons episode starts Thursday,
- 32:09Speaker 2: but there's a lot of great episodes up there, and
- 32:12Speaker 2: make sure you're watching it.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Yeah, we had Leland Vinten on for Father's Day and
- 32:16Speaker 1: Leland's on News Nation. He's one of the anchors used
- 32:18Speaker 1: to work with me at Fox. Yeah, and he has
- 32:21Speaker 1: autism and his father saved his life. Yeah, so it's
- 32:27Speaker 1: really a compelling interview, and I appreciate you watching and
- 32:31Speaker 1: me on Mark.
- 32:32Speaker 2: All right, everybody, just go to Bill O'Reilly dot com.
- 32:34Speaker 2: You can get a link to everything there, the podcast,
