- 0:00Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 0:03Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 0:07Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 0:11Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 0:15Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 0:19Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy nom the United States
- 0:23Speaker 1: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 0:28Speaker 1: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 0:31Speaker 1: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 0:35Speaker 1: are here illegally, your next you will be fined nearly
- 0:39Speaker 1: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned, and deported. You will
- 0:43Speaker 1: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 0:46Speaker 1: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Do what's right. Leave now. Under President Trump, America's laws,
- 0:55Speaker 1: border and families will be protected.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
- 1:00Speaker 3: You smoke about the wealthiest men black men in the world.
- 1:02Speaker 3: He comes from Africa, comes from Nigeria. I wonder at
- 1:06Speaker 3: this level are there mentors? Are the people that inspire you?
- 1:10Speaker 2: Right?
- 1:10Speaker 3: Because what you're doing in oil and gas. I know
- 1:12Speaker 3: in Nigeria that was a project that they were working
- 1:15Speaker 3: on it rather than being one of the biggest imports
- 1:17Speaker 3: of oil trying to now become one of the biggest
- 1:19Speaker 3: exports of it. Are you guys leaning on each other
- 1:22Speaker 3: or are we just watching success happen and saying that's
- 1:25Speaker 3: inspiring or is there a connection here.
- 1:28Speaker 4: I've never really had a mentor, but which is okay,
- 1:33Speaker 4: It's fine. Some people you know have mentors, but I've
- 1:36Speaker 4: never really have a mentor. However, I think, as I said,
- 1:38Speaker 4: we are all put out of our surroundings. You lean,
- 1:41Speaker 4: you know, subconsciously from people I've been blessed to have.
- 1:44Speaker 4: You know, a mother and father who were entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs,
- 1:47Speaker 4: I think, looking back now, I've learned a lot from
- 1:50Speaker 4: them without even knowing I was learning from them. I
- 1:52Speaker 4: have a sister who was an entrepreneur, and I feel
- 1:55Speaker 4: I've learned from her without necessarily annoying. I think that,
- 1:58Speaker 4: you know, you see people do things, and it might
- 2:03Speaker 4: be be in college, or it might be in high school.
- 2:05Speaker 4: You might learn from some professors or you know, so
- 2:08Speaker 4: that's what That's how it worked out for me, I
- 2:10Speaker 4: didn't have the opportunity to sit down with anyone who
- 2:14Speaker 4: had experience, because, first of all, most people didn't want
- 2:16Speaker 4: you to get in the business. They saw me as
- 2:19Speaker 4: a young guy who's a treat today. They didn't want
- 2:22Speaker 4: me to get involved. So I didn't have the opportunity.
- 2:25Speaker 4: If you have the opportunity to have a mentor, I
- 2:27Speaker 4: think that's a very good thing. I just never had
- 2:29Speaker 4: had that experience. And it's fine. It's okay because if
- 2:32Speaker 4: you're serious and you are focused, you're running one hundred
- 2:35Speaker 4: you know, one hundred meters race or a thousand million ras,
- 2:37Speaker 4: you're serious about the finish line, it doesn't matter if
- 2:40Speaker 4: someone is giving you a word of encouragemental stuff. However,
- 2:43Speaker 4: like I said, at people who have given me advice
- 2:46Speaker 4: on various things on personal life and other things which
- 2:49Speaker 4: all play a role in your business life. But I've
- 2:52Speaker 4: never had a mentor to steered me to avoid, you know,
- 2:58Speaker 4: mistakes that have been made by them.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Whatever it is.
- 3:00Speaker 4: But it's fine. It's okay to have. It's great to have,
- 3:02Speaker 4: and it's okay if you don't have as well.
- 3:05Speaker 5: We talked about some opportunities. What are some challenges that
- 3:07Speaker 5: you know, the continent faces. We were at Davos last
- 3:10Speaker 5: year at the African House and they spoke about, you know,
- 3:14Speaker 5: not being able to travel from a variety of different
- 3:16Speaker 5: countries for African citizens and the trade process, and that
- 3:20Speaker 5: was a major concern. And I see, you know, countries
- 3:24Speaker 5: now starting to lift travel bands and make it easier
- 3:27Speaker 5: and not have So from your perspective as an African
- 3:30Speaker 5: on the continent, what is some challenges that you know
- 3:33Speaker 5: you think could be improved across the continent as far
- 3:36Speaker 5: as business is concerned.
- 3:38Speaker 4: I think the biggest issue that we need to overcome
- 3:40Speaker 4: is us ourselves and how we deal with each other.
- 3:43Speaker 4: That's the most important thing. How we deal with each
- 3:45Speaker 4: other is the most important thing, because see, divide and
- 3:50Speaker 4: conquers really is ral.
- 3:52Speaker 2: So think about it this way.
- 3:54Speaker 4: If you are from let's say Kenya, and you have
- 3:57Speaker 4: the capacity to operate a mining failed and you are
- 4:02Speaker 4: a banking Kena and you can give him money to
- 4:06Speaker 4: mine the gold or whatever mining field it is, you
- 4:10Speaker 4: are cutting out the international banks. You are cutting out
- 4:13Speaker 4: all those people. So the issue that we have here
- 4:17Speaker 4: is this whole thing of we cannot do it by ourselves.
- 4:21Speaker 4: We need aid, we need foreign assistance and stuff like that.
- 4:25Speaker 4: So that is really ingrained in us and if we
- 4:27Speaker 4: are able to figure it out that listen, let's give
- 4:31Speaker 4: us people of color the opportunity to try certain things.
- 4:36Speaker 4: You know, yes, we're going to make mistakes, but believing
- 4:38Speaker 4: in ourselves and trying to you know, help each other,
- 4:41Speaker 4: I think is the only way for it. Because by
- 4:43Speaker 4: so doing all these visa restrictions all these other things.
- 4:46Speaker 4: You know a lot of some countries give foreign like
- 4:50Speaker 4: Europeans vison arrival permit, but an African need a visa.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Ernest, what's up?

- 7:36Speaker 1: Do what's right. Leave now. Under President Trump America's laws,
- 7:41Speaker 1: border and families will be protected.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security. How
- 7:46Speaker 2: about that? You know what I mean?
- 7:47Speaker 4: So, but if we are really you know, waking together
- 7:51Speaker 4: as for the sources of the continent, will we will
- 7:54Speaker 4: let lose all those barriers that we put up. So
- 7:58Speaker 4: I think it's more about as with ourselves. Very well,
- 8:01Speaker 4: and you stop the hipocrasy.
- 8:04Speaker 6: If you were starting a new business in twenty twenty four,
- 8:07Speaker 6: what would be the five things you were focused on
- 8:09Speaker 6: each day to grow that business like a thousand percent
- 8:12Speaker 6: in one or two years?
- 8:16Speaker 2: We need the real answer.
- 8:18Speaker 4: Yeah, well, I mean I leave, I breathe, I sleep.
- 8:23Speaker 4: Oil and gas. I know it inside out. If someone
- 8:27Speaker 4: to ask me, would you do it all over again?
- 8:29Speaker 4: I'll do it all over again and again and again.
- 8:31Speaker 4: So if I'm to start another business, it's going to
- 8:33Speaker 4: be no oil and gas industry. Oil and gas industry
- 8:37Speaker 4: is Look, nothing nothing comes easy, And of course you
- 8:42Speaker 4: simply don't even know the answers. Sometimes you just figure.
- 8:45Speaker 4: Like I said, you just figured it out on the job,
- 8:47Speaker 4: you know, like you study. You said you want to
- 8:49Speaker 4: make a thousand percent returns? Yeah, sorry, Look I just
- 8:53Speaker 4: lost them. I just lost a friend right before I
- 8:57Speaker 4: got on stage, literally a few minutes ago. Very good,
- 9:00Speaker 4: and my childhood friend. I'm sure she had plans. You know,
- 9:05Speaker 4: sometimes you may have all these plans, but things don't
- 9:08Speaker 4: work out the way it's supposed to work out, which
- 9:10Speaker 4: is fine. So you may want to make a thousand percent.
- 9:13Speaker 4: Maybe if you get into the business, you may make
- 9:16Speaker 4: ten percent, you may make twenty percent.
- 9:17Speaker 2: It is fine.
- 9:18Speaker 4: Like I said earlier, you can start a water bottle business.
- 9:22Speaker 4: It may last only two three years, but you may
- 9:25Speaker 4: make some money out of that, and you may learn
- 9:27Speaker 4: some experiences out of that. Out of that, you're going
- 9:29Speaker 4: into making microphones, which work business I needed business, yeah,
- 9:35Speaker 4: or you know, and so sometimes it's okay to start
- 9:39Speaker 4: from somewhere. It may not turn out to be what
- 9:41Speaker 4: you expected to be and he transition to something else,
- 9:44Speaker 4: but all that is part of you know, you've been
- 9:47Speaker 4: built to something greater, you know what I mean. So yeah,
- 9:49Speaker 4: so sometimes, yeah, you may want two thousand percent. I
- 9:51Speaker 4: mean I think everyone here wants ten thousand percent return.
- 9:53Speaker 6: More importantly, what are the habits that you're doing every day?
- 9:56Speaker 6: If you go only pick five things that I'm doing
- 9:57Speaker 6: these tasks in my business, what are some of those
- 10:00Speaker 6: to help them on the twenty four.
- 10:01Speaker 4: I mean, so persistence, like you need to be persistant.
- 10:05Speaker 4: You can't you know, you can't just give up because
- 10:08Speaker 4: they said no, you can't just give up because you're
- 10:11Speaker 4: started in the field. You need to be persistent very
- 10:13Speaker 4: very important. You need you need to do your best
- 10:17Speaker 4: to be very honest with yourself. If you know you
- 10:20Speaker 4: don't have the ability to put together a team to
- 10:23Speaker 4: help you build a rocket, and you don't have the
- 10:25Speaker 4: ability to raise the funding to help you build a rocket, don't.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Don't.
- 10:28Speaker 4: Don't be going around saying you're going to go to
- 10:29Speaker 4: the moon like no one's you're going to take it serious.
- 10:32Speaker 4: You need to be honest with yourself if you really
- 10:34Speaker 4: want to be successful. The other thing that I personally
- 10:39Speaker 4: believe in this prayer. So I don't know about you.
- 10:42Speaker 4: Everyone might have something different, but I believe in prayer.
- 10:44Speaker 4: Prayer works for me, so you know, I go for
- 10:47Speaker 4: the two piece. Prayer and persistence have always worked for me.
- 10:51Speaker 4: You need to really you know, some people are very
- 10:55Speaker 4: good with analyzing situations. You know, I have a friend
- 11:00Speaker 4: and it's very smart. But he's not an entrepreneur, but
- 11:04Speaker 4: he's a good manager. You know, if you want to
- 11:06Speaker 4: jump into the pool, he will go and stand by
- 11:09Speaker 4: the pool and the pistol, come back, analyze all these things.
- 11:13Speaker 4: Two hours, he still hasn't jumped in the pool. As
- 11:15Speaker 4: an entrepreneur, If you really believe in what you are doing.
- 11:17Speaker 4: You just sometimes just gotta go. You gotta go for
- 11:19Speaker 4: you just gotta go for it. Just do it. You know,
- 11:21Speaker 4: don't be trying to overthink it. You overthinking it. Bro,
- 11:24Speaker 4: you're gonna win, You're gonna lose.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Two options.
- 11:27Speaker 3: What else is there?
- 11:28Speaker 6: So?
- 11:28Speaker 4: You know, so a lot of times if we keep
- 11:30Speaker 4: on hesitating, I think we just gotta go. Just just
- 11:32Speaker 4: do it. So these are the things that I believe
- 11:35Speaker 4: that should be the basics and the fundamental as to
- 11:37Speaker 4: whatever it is that we are trying to achieve in business.
- 11:40Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 11:43Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from El Salvador
- 11:47Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
