- 0:03Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Let's go from a championship backfield to your morning drive.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Hansday, Hester and Hester got it fiveta Pa.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Your locks in to off the Bench control the Live
- 0:19Speaker 1: from the Raising Kine studio. Here's Jacob Hess and Matt Flynn.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Y oh, TV, Jake in the Landra and Taj here
- 0:53Speaker 3: with you and is trying to figure out what the
- 0:55Speaker 3: hell is going on.
- 0:56Speaker 4: Well, that's got the week outs. He brought it today.
- 1:00Speaker 5: Well, no, that's not it, Taylor.
- 1:03Speaker 6: He has to because he didn't have a microphone.
- 1:05Speaker 5: Oh I didn't even notice.
- 1:11Speaker 4: That kind of backfired on me a little bit, and.
- 1:13Speaker 6: It did it? Did it? Did? How we doing? Matt answer?
- 1:20Speaker 2: Yeah, he's like, uh, you bet you're going to be
- 1:23Speaker 2: out for a little bit, like he fired up to
- 1:25Speaker 2: be here today. Yeah, I mean it is Tuesday, to
- 1:28Speaker 2: be fair, that is typically Flynn's favorite day of the week.
- 1:31Speaker 6: I messed up that howl, Matt made up for it.
- 1:36Speaker 2: It might be your best work yet. No, not a
- 1:39Speaker 2: lot of people could hear it. But it might be
- 1:41Speaker 2: your best work yet.
- 1:45Speaker 4: My bad.
- 1:46Speaker 5: It happens, they tell me when it's play dead.
- 1:51Speaker 4: Okay, I think we're in now, yeah, you're hey, what's up?
- 1:53Speaker 6: Somebody even say in like.
- 1:56Speaker 7: Flynn, Hey, that's not on you, Taylor, that's on me
- 1:59Speaker 7: as well. I'm the one sitting here. As the music
- 2:02Speaker 7: was playing, I was like, oh no, microphone. Jake was like,
- 2:06Speaker 7: watch this, we'll play trick on Taylor.
- 2:08Speaker 4: It's not hard brain. Well he's thinking for three now three?
- 2:20Speaker 5: Just two, all three of them.
- 2:24Speaker 8: I guess, yeah, two shows this week. I got baby
- 2:28Speaker 8: on the way. I'm scattered brained a little bit.
- 2:30Speaker 5: Right, give him a break.
- 2:32Speaker 8: Matt, you were in baseball pants over there, but uh no,
- 2:35Speaker 8: these are shorts.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Must be cargoes of all those excuses, noees.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Uh.
- 2:48Speaker 2: What an incredible day of footing we had yesterday.
- 2:51Speaker 4: Oh my god, Brazil.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Japan two to one. Brazil scores stoppage time. You've got
- 3:01Speaker 2: Germany and Paraguay. They go to penalty kicks. Germany's out.
- 3:07Speaker 6: That's my pick. But I was rooting hard.
- 3:09Speaker 5: Wait for the whole thing. You thought Germany was gonna
- 3:11Speaker 5: win before we picked.
- 3:12Speaker 2: No, we picked both of ours. Yeah, but I don't care.
- 3:17Speaker 2: I was so wanting an upset. That was awesome. That
- 3:19Speaker 2: was incredible wins that one.
- 3:20Speaker 7: Yeah, US Paraguay, right, yeah, yeah, well that's so I
- 3:25Speaker 7: was cheering for that. I kept trying to cheer for
- 3:27Speaker 7: Germany because I have you know, I have some family
- 3:31Speaker 7: in Germany, and so I kept trying to cheer for them.
- 3:32Speaker 7: My kids were cheering for him, but like I just
- 3:35Speaker 7: couldn't get over because I was like, no, USA, USA
- 3:38Speaker 7: beat these guys. So I want to make sure that
- 3:40Speaker 7: we're the champions at least people.
- 3:44Speaker 2: More than anything else, because when we beat them, it
- 3:47Speaker 2: was like, oh, it's just Paraguay, yeah yeah, whatever.
- 3:51Speaker 6: They suck. Oh yeah, Germany, Germany home.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Later they beat them penalty because it goes you go
- 4:01Speaker 2: to full ninety, then you go stoppage time, and then
- 4:04Speaker 2: if it's tied after that, because it's win or go home,
- 4:07Speaker 2: then you play two to fifteen minute halves and if
- 4:10Speaker 2: nobody's you know, one after that, then you go to
- 4:14Speaker 2: penalty kicks. And we had two games go to penalty
- 4:16Speaker 2: kicks yesterday because Paraguay and Germany go. Paraguay wins. Then
- 4:22Speaker 2: you had the Netherlands and Morocco, which lived up to
- 4:25Speaker 2: the hype that also went to penalty kicks, and Morocco
- 4:28Speaker 2: wins to that one.
- 4:29Speaker 6: Three to two.
- 4:30Speaker 9: It's just weird because they like on this I'm looking
- 4:33Speaker 9: at the score, it's one to one, but then I
- 4:36Speaker 9: guess there's pies.
- 4:38Speaker 5: Oh okay, So then I guess the penalties that said
- 4:40Speaker 5: three and four.
- 4:41Speaker 4: Yeah, so okay.
- 4:43Speaker 5: Sorry, I'm new to this. I'm not true to this.
- 4:46Speaker 7: Hey, I look hand in the air, check this out?
- 4:50Speaker 7: Did the first submit had a good time watching some
- 4:52Speaker 7: of those games yesterday.
- 4:53Speaker 2: I knew you did because you weren't talking as much
- 4:56Speaker 2: ish about it.
- 4:56Speaker 7: I was like, I think, well, look, I was very
- 5:00Speaker 7: pressed with the again, the referee for the night game
- 5:04Speaker 7: that was the Neederlanders versus Morocco. That guy let him
- 5:11Speaker 7: play and they hit each other a bunch and there
- 5:14Speaker 7: was there was a couple of elbows in the face
- 5:16Speaker 7: I saw, which was fun. Uh, And like, look, these
- 5:19Speaker 7: these soccer dudes, they tried, They tried everything they could
- 5:24Speaker 7: in that first half to get a call to be
- 5:26Speaker 7: a baby. Like their first reactions always the mouth open
- 5:31Speaker 7: like that. You've never know, none of us have ever
- 5:33Speaker 7: felt a pain like these guys feel when they get touched.
- 5:37Speaker 7: And so they tried in the first half, and the
- 5:39Speaker 7: revs like not doing it. I'm not even giving anybody
- 5:41Speaker 7: a card right now, nobody's getting a card. And so
- 5:45Speaker 7: they were like, all right, I guess we'll just that
- 5:47Speaker 7: this is gonna be how it is. We're just gonna
- 5:49Speaker 7: play like this, and they just started just slide tackling
- 5:52Speaker 7: the hell out of each other and it was fun.
- 5:54Speaker 7: It was fun to watch, and the announcers are like, man,
- 5:57Speaker 7: you got to protect the players. At some point, I'm
- 5:58Speaker 7: like why, I wonder who why? I don't even know.
- 6:01Speaker 2: I was watching in bed, like with the volume down
- 6:03Speaker 2: because the kiddos were asleep.
- 6:06Speaker 4: Yeah, it was really in the first half. They were
- 6:07Speaker 4: like I bet that.
- 6:09Speaker 7: The announcers kept saying, oh, the next the next penalty
- 6:12Speaker 7: has to be a yellow card. He's got to calm
- 6:13Speaker 7: this down. He's got to protect the players. And I'm like, why,
- 6:17Speaker 7: they're athletes playing for their country. They'll be okay, They're
- 6:22Speaker 7: gonna be I may be the hammer, not the nail.
- 6:25Speaker 6: I thought that. I thought that game was awesome. It was.
- 6:28Speaker 6: It was pretty.
- 6:29Speaker 2: It was it was it was even for the most part,
- 6:31Speaker 2: like the analytics of the game were pretty even. Now,
- 6:33Speaker 2: Morocco did have a lot more possession than I thought
- 6:36Speaker 2: they would have over the Netherlands. But and look, Morocco
- 6:39Speaker 2: is seventh and feet for rankings Netherlands with eight. So
- 6:44Speaker 2: I know a lot of people are like upset Morocco
- 6:47Speaker 2: is actually higher rated. I think it's more of an
- 6:49Speaker 2: upset because like the Netherlands and what they've been in
- 6:53Speaker 2: the power that they have been in global soccer.
- 6:56Speaker 7: But there was one dude on the for Morocco that
- 7:00Speaker 7: I guess switched over for playing for the Netherlands last
- 7:03Speaker 7: year to Morocco this year.
- 7:05Speaker 4: I'm like, well, how does that work?
- 7:07Speaker 2: You can do a one time switch now if you
- 7:09Speaker 2: play like a a FIFA event, like a major tournament,
- 7:14Speaker 2: that's you know through Like so like if you play
- 7:17Speaker 2: in the World Cup for the team, you can't switch.
- 7:19Speaker 2: We're playing like a major tournament with a club, you can't.
- 7:21Speaker 2: But like if you play.
- 7:23Speaker 4: We don't have to show a passport to play for it.
- 7:25Speaker 6: We might have both.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's your your parents' heritage, your grandparents heritage,
- 7:31Speaker 2: like those are things they can because there's like there's
- 7:35Speaker 2: actually a player for Bosnia that was born in Appleton, Wisconsin.
- 7:40Speaker 2: They ain't no place further than from Bosnia than Appleton
- 7:43Speaker 2: was yeah, exactly, Like you know, there's a couple of
- 7:47Speaker 2: playing from Mexico that after everything, So yeah, all right,
- 7:55Speaker 2: well had a good time, we said the I brought
- 7:58Speaker 2: my kids in for the Germany.
- 8:03Speaker 7: Penalty penalty kicks the shootout because they were they were
- 8:08Speaker 7: doing something. Uh Son had a friend over, so they
- 8:11Speaker 7: were all like kind of playing and do stuff and
- 8:13Speaker 7: I was like, kids, I don't I don't care what
- 8:14Speaker 7: you're doing. Put your things down, come in here and
- 8:17Speaker 7: watch this. Like this is, you know, a penalty shootout,
- 8:21Speaker 7: Like I think it's a little kitchy. It's it's you know,
- 8:24Speaker 7: it's I'd rather I'd rather the game be dictated determined
- 8:30Speaker 7: on like actual game play. But I was like, this
- 8:34Speaker 7: is one of the more exciting things that you can do,
- 8:37Speaker 7: like in sports, any type of shootout like that where
- 8:40Speaker 7: it's just like one on one.
- 8:42Speaker 4: And boy, they they were fired up.
- 8:45Speaker 7: They got some cousins in Germany, so they were like
- 8:47Speaker 7: screaming for the Germans. Heartbreak, excitement, all the stuff, all
- 8:53Speaker 7: the stuff we all feel in sports, and it was
- 8:55Speaker 7: fun to watch their little faces.
- 8:57Speaker 2: It did feel like so typically when you have situation
- 9:00Speaker 2: like that where you know an underdog is just scratched
- 9:04Speaker 2: and claw and like fought its butt off to be
- 9:06Speaker 2: in that situation. Oftentimes they'll have heartbreak and just felt
- 9:11Speaker 2: like seventeen times in that match Germany was gonna score somehow,
- 9:16Speaker 2: some way, and.
- 9:16Speaker 4: Then they did well.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Then in in pks like Paraguay was like make this
- 9:24Speaker 2: and it's over to Germany had a lot of work
- 9:26Speaker 2: they had to do to catch up.
- 9:28Speaker 6: Well it happened, and you're like, oh, Germany's winning this match.
- 9:31Speaker 2: And then credit to Paraguay, like, well, guy steps in
- 9:34Speaker 2: goes top ben top right shelf.
- 9:36Speaker 7: Dude Germany and the sixth penalty kick he kicked about
- 9:40Speaker 7: thirty eight feet above the goal.
- 9:42Speaker 6: I think he made it up to his friends and family.
- 9:44Speaker 7: Yeah he did. He made it a row forty eight
- 9:46Speaker 7: in the stands. Probably he probably slept pretty well last night.
- 9:50Speaker 7: That guy, oh like a baby, like a bad bag.
- 9:53Speaker 7: And then the that guy's a defender. He used to
- 9:56Speaker 7: doing that too often?
- 9:57Speaker 6: Is he?
- 9:57Speaker 4: Why is he shooting sixth?
- 9:58Speaker 2: Then by the time you get to that, it's it's
- 10:02Speaker 2: pretty much what you're gonna have.
- 10:03Speaker 6: Like it would have gotten to a point too.
- 10:05Speaker 4: Where Fender, I mean, you can't kick it straight.
- 10:08Speaker 2: We no I'm with you, but I'm saying that's not
- 10:09Speaker 2: what he's going to be the best at. It gets
- 10:12Speaker 2: to a point where you'll have goalies to take the
- 10:14Speaker 2: p cas.
- 10:15Speaker 7: Yeah, all right, Jacob Pasters lined up for America. Oh
- 10:20Speaker 7: I like this, and we are sitting there, we're going
- 10:25Speaker 7: against Argentina. You got it to win it. How you
- 10:30Speaker 7: lining up? How are you running and attacking the ball?
- 10:34Speaker 7: And where are you shooting it?
- 10:36Speaker 6: All right?
- 10:36Speaker 4: Are attempting to shoot it?
- 10:38Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 10:38Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 10:38Speaker 2: So I like how the guys were lining up directly
- 10:41Speaker 2: behind it, yep, and then kind of getting some momentum
- 10:45Speaker 2: going and.
- 10:46Speaker 4: They did like a little s curve.
- 10:48Speaker 6: Yes, those ones that those guys scored every time, every time.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Like the guys that like try to run up because
- 10:53Speaker 2: you like used to you could like Paul's and then
- 10:55Speaker 2: go and then Paul's they stopped all that. They're like, no,
- 10:57Speaker 2: you got to at least like continue moving some way
- 10:59Speaker 2: somehow towards the ball. The guys that like try to
- 11:02Speaker 2: sneak up on it, like they're robbing the place that
- 11:04Speaker 2: never works out, never works out for him.
- 11:07Speaker 4: They think about it too much.
- 11:08Speaker 7: They watch the Every time I saw one of the
- 11:10Speaker 7: guys shooting it, look up at the goalie.
- 11:13Speaker 4: They end up hooking it.
- 11:15Speaker 2: So I think I'm getting directly behind that thing running
- 11:18Speaker 2: the ass curve. I'm looking at goalie right in the eyes,
- 11:22Speaker 2: and then I'm hitting it bottom, doing this right here
- 11:24Speaker 2: on bottom right. Then I'm a as a right footed kicker.
- 11:27Speaker 7: I'm gonna look, I'm gonna do the finger points points
- 11:29Speaker 7: to my eyes, and I'm gonna shoot my fingers at him.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Then I'm gonna flip him the bird, and then I'm
- 11:34Speaker 2: gonna go or hear me out. I only give time
- 11:38Speaker 2: to do that, but it would be honest if you
- 11:40Speaker 2: did well before you kick it right down the damn middle. Yeah,
- 11:44Speaker 2: that's what I'm doing.
- 11:45Speaker 7: So all these guys that like fiddle fart around and
- 11:49Speaker 7: like dribble it in or something, and.
- 11:51Speaker 4: They like try to juke and like little shoulder pump.
- 11:57Speaker 5: That was really imature of me.
- 11:59Speaker 7: I'm getting wrap by on that thing. Yeah, I'm doing
- 12:01Speaker 7: an S curve and I'm gonna I'm running. Probably I'm
- 12:04Speaker 7: not running my four five three that I can run
- 12:06Speaker 7: that we all know I can run. I'm running about
- 12:08Speaker 7: a four to eight four nine at that ball, and
- 12:09Speaker 7: I'm kicking it as hard as I can. Yeah, and
- 12:11Speaker 7: I'm probably kicking it right in the center. That's where
- 12:14Speaker 7: I'm going. That guy's dive it. And even if I
- 12:17Speaker 7: kick it right at him, it's gonna be going fast
- 12:21Speaker 7: enough and hard enough to just at least hit him
- 12:24Speaker 7: in the head.
- 12:27Speaker 6: Yeah, I think I'm just kidding.
- 12:28Speaker 7: It got of the Netherlands made a stop yesterday and
- 12:31Speaker 7: then it landed on the ground and he hit it
- 12:33Speaker 7: with his heel and kicked it in himself.
- 12:35Speaker 6: That was heartbreaking. That sucks. Yep, did everything right.
- 12:42Speaker 4: So don't be fiddle farting people.
- 12:44Speaker 6: Don't be fiddle parting. We did have.
- 12:49Speaker 2: One of the things I hate about the World Cup
- 12:51Speaker 2: is this mostly happens with European teams, Like they're like,
- 12:56Speaker 2: you know, we're world class footballers, like we you know,
- 12:59Speaker 2: we can pass, we can shoot, we can do all
- 13:01Speaker 2: the things you're supposed to do, and blah blah blah. Well,
- 13:04Speaker 2: Germany and they got beat obviously, like we talked about.
- 13:06Speaker 2: And their captain came out and had the most beta
- 13:10Speaker 2: energy in the world.
- 13:11Speaker 6: He said.
- 13:11Speaker 2: We struggled badly in all three games against teams that
- 13:14Speaker 2: aren't world class.
- 13:16Speaker 6: We deserve to be eliminated.
- 13:19Speaker 2: H what makes them non world class because they didn't
- 13:22Speaker 2: play the style that you're used to playing in Europe,
- 13:26Speaker 2: like what like they defended at a world class level.
- 13:32Speaker 2: That's what that's that's who they are, right. Paraguay is
- 13:35Speaker 2: going to be a team that, as you like to say,
- 13:38Speaker 2: parks the bus and they like to play strong defense
- 13:42Speaker 2: and if they score, they're gonna it's gonna be off
- 13:44Speaker 2: a counter. They're gonna they're gonna have a lot of
- 13:46Speaker 2: people back. I guess not not enough for Germany. It's
- 13:50Speaker 2: kind of like when what we lost the team?
- 13:53Speaker 6: What are you talking about?
- 13:54Speaker 7: When USA beat the brakes off the Brits in that war? Yeah,
- 13:58Speaker 7: and well they didn't sometimes fight like gentlemen, little grilla warfare.
- 14:04Speaker 6: Sometimes you get beat by tactics.
- 14:06Speaker 2: And so it was two South American nations that they played,
- 14:10Speaker 2: Ecuador and Paraguay, and then it was Ivory Coast, who
- 14:15Speaker 2: is out of Africa. Again, Like, just because they don't
- 14:20Speaker 2: play the style that you play, does not mean it's
- 14:23Speaker 2: not world class.
- 14:23Speaker 4: I don't understand what does that mean.
- 14:26Speaker 6: I think the European countries.
- 14:28Speaker 4: They kicked all to each other, like it's all it's.
- 14:30Speaker 2: A lot of flash and its speed, and it's passing
- 14:33Speaker 2: and incredible finishing outside the box and so like, and
- 14:37Speaker 2: they and they see South America and North American teams,
- 14:40Speaker 2: African teams more like a rock fight.
- 14:43Speaker 6: Hey, but styles make fights. You lost.
- 14:46Speaker 7: They see everybody else as peasants basically.
- 14:52Speaker 4: And cultured swine.
- 14:53Speaker 9: Angland, Germany, Germany.
- 15:00Speaker 2: We struggle badly in all three games against teams that
- 15:04Speaker 2: aren't world class, and they lost.
- 15:06Speaker 6: They lost two of those.
- 15:08Speaker 4: Maybe I don't understand. I'm watching the style.
- 15:12Speaker 7: They seem to be playing the same sport at the
- 15:15Speaker 7: set like, and it looks similar. When they each have
- 15:17Speaker 7: the ball, they pass it left and right and they
- 15:19Speaker 7: try to cross it and their heads.
- 15:21Speaker 5: You don't know anything about soccer.
- 15:23Speaker 4: That's a good point. So what is what are they
- 15:25Speaker 4: supposed to do?
- 15:26Speaker 7: They steal the ball when you're doing your fancy fancy
- 15:29Speaker 7: pants passing and they're on a fast break. Are they
- 15:32Speaker 7: just supposed to slow down and be like, no, y'all,
- 15:34Speaker 7: you'll get in your spots.
- 15:35Speaker 5: They supposed to fiddle far around that things.
- 15:38Speaker 4: Biggest question, which team is played in total football? Hasn't
- 15:42Speaker 4: played a what total football? That's what? Oh, that's true.
- 15:45Speaker 7: Anybody playing total football. That's probably a very uncultured swine.
- 15:51Speaker 4: You don't you don't get to go to the World Cup.
- 15:53Speaker 7: No, Germany puts it into that. I don't remember what
- 16:00Speaker 7: that is. I just know that I don't either. I
- 16:03Speaker 7: just know that's what they played. They don't have any positions.
- 16:05Speaker 7: They just pass it around.
- 16:06Speaker 6: Yeah. No, nobody's really doing that. Can you imagine what
- 16:11Speaker 6: it'd be like if they did? Hold I cooler.
- 16:14Speaker 4: That is?
- 16:15Speaker 6: I hate that quote.
- 16:16Speaker 2: I hate that's so bad. It's like in football if
- 16:20Speaker 2: you lost to a team that was running, like if
- 16:24Speaker 2: nothing but twenty one person now.
- 16:25Speaker 7: And it would have been okay, Like if he would
- 16:27Speaker 7: have said we lost the people, we shouldn't have that.
- 16:31Speaker 7: I feel like we shouldn't have not people that like
- 16:33Speaker 7: teams that aren't world.
- 16:35Speaker 4: Class you lost to. Two of them are in the
- 16:37Speaker 4: World Cup, right, so it's in the name of the tournament.
- 16:42Speaker 6: You're in anyway, Good ridding to Germany. Good thing. They
- 16:49Speaker 6: can go on vacation today. Where do you think they're
- 16:51Speaker 6: gonna give?
- 16:52Speaker 9: Yeah, you know how like they say, going to Cancun.
- 16:55Speaker 9: Where do you think they're going in?
- 16:57Speaker 2: They got beaches Italy, yea beaches do they have beaches there,
- 17:01Speaker 2: but you got to go, like, we have beaches here,
- 17:03Speaker 2: but you still.
- 17:03Speaker 7: Go to Cancun. Yeah, they can just they can just
- 17:05Speaker 7: take it. They take a train a couple of hours
- 17:07Speaker 7: the coast, off the coast of Italy.
- 17:09Speaker 9: That's the part about Europe that I'm like, Oh, I
- 17:11Speaker 9: wish I lived there. There's a different country just across.
- 17:16Speaker 7: Or you could take a ryanair It's kind of like

- 18:27Speaker 9: You're saying that Spain is their destined, they're going to
- 18:31Speaker 9: what they would go to Spain? Yeah yeah, somebody said

- 22:20Speaker 6: What an idiot?
- 22:22Speaker 9: How could I forget that today is eighties?
- 22:26Speaker 4: How dare you ruin the integrity of this show? I mean, dude,
- 22:29Speaker 4: the yellow panels are staring the other day.
- 22:32Speaker 6: They're not going to like.
- 22:33Speaker 2: People need community stills not listening eighties music.
- 22:37Speaker 4: Guys.
- 22:39Speaker 9: I'm sorry for ruining the entire show impossibly probably the
- 22:45Speaker 9: whole week going into a very patriotic weekend.
- 22:48Speaker 5: That's on me.
- 22:49Speaker 6: This feels like Taylor sabotage.
- 22:51Speaker 5: I'm gonna be better in the next segment.
- 22:53Speaker 8: Good luck to you guys the rest of the show,
- 22:55Speaker 8: between picking the wrong day and me forgetting the microphone.
- 22:58Speaker 4: Like you guys are kind of on your today.
- 23:00Speaker 7: Ours support isn't trying to sabotage.
- 23:04Speaker 4: I mean, that's that's allologists.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Wait, are y'all right now, Hey, are y'all in the take?
- 23:12Speaker 2: Are y'all pulling a Elik easily on us?
- 23:14Speaker 4: Right now?
- 23:15Speaker 6: I've got you've got the under great question.
- 23:18Speaker 4: I took the over on a TB mess.
- 23:20Speaker 5: Ups, all right, I got one more to do, guys.
- 23:23Speaker 4: It was more than the over was more than two.
- 23:25Speaker 4: Don't worry, guys.
- 23:26Speaker 6: That man, when is pointed out now like what he
- 23:29Speaker 6: had and what he had to do.
- 23:31Speaker 5: That video you sai us yesterday was so funny.
- 23:33Speaker 9: He just like was the free throw senate to nine
- 23:37Speaker 9: point nine point lead. He had the eight and a
- 23:41Speaker 9: half spreads and full court sprint.
- 23:43Speaker 6: He was so.
- 23:44Speaker 9: Nervous as I've ever seen anybody go to the other
- 23:47Speaker 9: side of the court.
- 23:48Speaker 6: Who was that fella he had?
- 23:52Speaker 4: He got he's in trouble that.
- 23:56Speaker 9: I know.
- 23:56Speaker 8: The answer to that, I don't know if you want
- 23:58Speaker 8: the answer that's no, that's for oh yeah, the step stool.
- 24:05Speaker 5: I'm sorry.
- 24:06Speaker 4: The answer to that seemed problematic, very much so, and
- 24:08Speaker 4: I called that.
- 24:10Speaker 8: I don't know why he sits on them. I called
- 24:12Speaker 8: him out yesterday. Braxton could have taken the brace off
- 24:15Speaker 8: for his knee early last week.
- 24:17Speaker 4: He's still wearing it.
- 24:18Speaker 5: Case, bro, you guys take that off.
- 24:20Speaker 6: I'm like, So he had the under for himself and rebounds.
- 24:27Speaker 2: It's like it kind of at the end of the
- 24:28Speaker 2: game and they're playing the calves and a shot goes
- 24:31Speaker 2: up and he turns and like starts like shadowing.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Uh.
- 24:35Speaker 2: The the offensive guy's crashing the boards like he's trying
- 24:39Speaker 2: to do something because he knows he can't just like
- 24:41Speaker 2: reach out and get the rebound, and the offensive guy
- 24:44Speaker 2: like gets like right past him. He's like, oh what
- 24:46Speaker 2: what bro? And then there was one he had the
- 24:49Speaker 2: over on rebounds. It's like at the very end of
- 24:52Speaker 2: the game, and I think it's a Clippers.
- 24:54Speaker 6: They like just shoot one up. He pushes his teammate
- 24:56Speaker 6: out of the way.
- 24:58Speaker 4: Westbrook was doing that to get stribbled doubles, not them.
- 25:01Speaker 5: I saw this one. I'm sorry.
- 25:04Speaker 4: I was just saying that video is unbelievable.
- 25:06Speaker 5: Crazy.
- 25:06Speaker 7: I'm sitting there at the free thrown before that god
- 25:09Speaker 7: stressed sore up nine points with like four seconds left,
- 25:13Speaker 7: like he is so stressed out, and you're right there.
- 25:19Speaker 9: That was a good rebound, though it was he wanted
- 25:22Speaker 9: it so bad. He was sweating that bad. I saw
- 25:24Speaker 9: this this morning. Jimmy Butler's best friend, Ernie, was arrested
- 25:29Speaker 9: yesterday for allegedly running an illegal gambling operation with former
- 25:34Speaker 9: NBA player Ed Davis.
- 25:36Speaker 5: Yeah, Ed Davis involved with Malie Beasley. Yeah. He was
- 25:40Speaker 5: asking him like you got snapchat? We can't talk?
- 25:44Speaker 8: Saybody think it's a little ironic that the guy they
- 25:47Speaker 8: were placing bets with was Ernie and Brad Bohannon got
- 25:50Speaker 8: busted with a guy named Bert.
- 25:52Speaker 4: It's kind of.
- 25:55Speaker 6: Well done.
- 25:56Speaker 4: I just when I heard Ernie, I was like, Burt
- 25:58Speaker 4: and Ernie, no good.
- 26:00Speaker 2: It's do you think Malie Beasley, by the way, y'all
- 26:04Speaker 2: in his career, do you know how much money made.
- 26:06Speaker 10: What I'm gonna guess to eighty milih he got a
- 26:11Speaker 10: big deal one time. I mean, I don't even know who.
- 26:13Speaker 10: I've never heard of this person's name, yeah, until I've
- 26:15Speaker 10: heard it a.
- 26:16Speaker 5: Couple of times.
- 26:17Speaker 4: But not like, let's say, let's go with sixty five.
- 26:22Speaker 2: Million his career earnings fifty nine point nine million dollars.
- 26:31Speaker 5: This guy knows contracts.
- 26:33Speaker 4: And how much did he win betting? I mean he
- 26:38Speaker 4: probably took at one hundred bucks. Yeah, he didn't win
- 26:41Speaker 4: fifty nine million.
- 26:43Speaker 6: On himself nine million dollars.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Why in the world are you betting prop bets on yourself?
- 26:54Speaker 4: What do we do but ben the under?
- 26:58Speaker 5: Yeah, that's just for the love the game at that point.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Yeah, that's like I can't there's there's a cap on
- 27:04Speaker 2: proba bets. You know, it's not like, yeah, yeah, it's
- 27:06Speaker 2: not even that much.
- 27:07Speaker 7: Right unless you got as she got a book and bookie,
- 27:10Speaker 7: but still take it.
- 27:14Speaker 4: Maybe it was the last leg.
- 27:16Speaker 7: Maybe he bet the under on himself a hundred games
- 27:19Speaker 7: in a row and it was the last leg.
- 27:24Speaker 5: That would insane.
- 27:26Speaker 7: If he did that, that would be that would that's
- 27:29Speaker 7: I'd be that's chess.
- 27:30Speaker 4: I'd be pushing teamates out of the way for a rebound.
- 27:32Speaker 6: Two.
- 27:33Speaker 7: Well, if he's it's easy to control the under, right,
- 27:36Speaker 7: if you want to bet a ten game parlay on
- 27:39Speaker 7: yourself under and then just like not rebound.
- 27:42Speaker 8: Well, we were talking about it yesterday after the show.
- 27:44Speaker 8: That's that's how Terry Rozier ultimately got called it. I
- 27:47Speaker 8: think it was actually Casino when New Orleans and Biloxi,
- 27:50Speaker 8: like somebody went and put down like thousands of dollars
- 27:52Speaker 8: on the Terry Rozier under and he pulled himself out
- 27:55Speaker 8: of the game for an injury like three minutes and
- 27:57Speaker 8: didn't go back multiple times.
- 28:00Speaker 6: So y'all want to know what his agent's agency is called?
- 28:04Speaker 5: Boy, what is it?
- 28:06Speaker 6: I just looked it up.
- 28:07Speaker 4: Bet Parlay Sports.
- 28:09Speaker 10: And let's go God his way company, Parlay Sports and Entertainment.
- 28:17Speaker 5: I refuse to believe that.
- 28:19Speaker 2: God good for this man's twenty nine years old and
- 28:24Speaker 2: it's going to prison, no doubt.
- 28:27Speaker 6: They don't play with that.
- 28:30Speaker 7: Yeah, you've made fifty nine million dollars and you're indicted
- 28:33Speaker 7: on federal charts.
- 28:36Speaker 5: Yeah, Federal is them.
- 28:40Speaker 6: Those videos there were while we might even have to
- 28:42Speaker 6: like pull.
- 28:43Speaker 9: Something, they're definitely all tied together, and it's definitely something
- 28:45Speaker 9: way above the NBA. Like I think this is like
- 28:48Speaker 9: a full blown f reco operation that they got going on.
- 28:51Speaker 8: You're ready, somebody from High Point University is going to
- 28:54Speaker 8: show up high Points coming.
- 28:56Speaker 5: Out Elite Beasley go State, he's.
- 29:00Speaker 4: The founder of Ernie. Sounds like a high Point crowd.
- 29:07Speaker 5: Harley Sports Entertainment is crazy sports.
- 29:11Speaker 4: It was just telling you in North Carolina could be.
- 29:17Speaker 5: It's a great question.
- 29:18Speaker 8: But like the guys that are betting so like we
- 29:21Speaker 8: had we had mentioned Chauncey Billips where he got in
- 29:23Speaker 8: trouble forty million in his career, easily fifty six million
- 29:27Speaker 8: in his career, Terry Rozier one hundred and sixty million
- 29:30Speaker 8: in his career.
- 29:32Speaker 7: It's the point, I don't know Brendon sowersby five million
- 29:39Speaker 7: this year.
- 29:41Speaker 4: I mean keeping that probably not a lot when he
- 29:44Speaker 4: was betting, though.
- 29:45Speaker 2: Five million that's where I made my six years combined.
- 29:50Speaker 6: And you actually had to play yeah, and you go
- 29:53Speaker 6: block people that were angry.
- 29:55Speaker 7: We did talk yesterday about interesting point on some of
- 29:57Speaker 7: those deals like and it's I'm changing the subject a
- 30:02Speaker 7: little bit here. He contract five million, they didn't give
- 30:08Speaker 7: him a five million dollar check. A lot of that
- 30:10Speaker 7: will come after July first, because that's when the fiscal
- 30:14Speaker 7: year for a lot of these colleges switches over. So
- 30:16Speaker 7: a lot of these contracts are like, all right, we'll
- 30:18Speaker 7: give you half of it this year and then half
- 30:20Speaker 7: of it next year.
- 30:22Speaker 6: I know, unless you did that a lot.
- 30:24Speaker 4: So we'll see how much he actually gets paid.
- 30:26Speaker 6: Actually we won't see because we don't know.
- 30:28Speaker 4: But who knows how much he'll actually get paid or
- 30:31Speaker 4: any of the college kids.
- 30:34Speaker 7: There's nothing like legally holding anybody's feet to the fire.
- 30:40Speaker 7: And these colleges on like, we'll pay five million dollars, like.
- 30:45Speaker 6: When it gets time to actually collect. Yeah, it's like
- 30:48Speaker 6: you felt that.
- 30:49Speaker 2: Yeah, man, I guess you have agents, but settle with
- 30:51Speaker 2: you for three what they do with coaches, or try
- 30:56Speaker 2: to at least obviously, And those are those contracts actually.
- 31:01Speaker 7: Like yeah, and if you're listening and you're a really
- 31:03Speaker 7: good football player, we're not talking about ls you.
- 31:05Speaker 6: We're talking about other schools.
- 31:08Speaker 7: Run like the land always paid.
- 31:14Speaker 2: Watch first episode of that haven't dragon? Did you see
- 31:19Speaker 2: the first episode of the new season. I hadn't seen

- 31:44Speaker 8: Night Lights because I want to rewatch that show. She's
- 31:46Speaker 8: never seen it, so probably do that.
- 31:49Speaker 6: Sure, watch that. You finished the other show we were watching?
- 31:53Speaker 4: Finished it last night?
- 31:53Speaker 6: All right, we'll talk about that.
- 31:55Speaker 4: Did you can't wait to get the episode too?
- 31:57Speaker 6: I haven't finished yet.
- 31:58Speaker 2: Okay, all right, I can talk about that in the
- 32:00Speaker 2: studio either. We can talk about how I'd be laughing

- 35:29Speaker 2: go to penalty kicks. How do we feel about that
- 35:31Speaker 2: deciding who wins the game?
- 35:33Speaker 4: I know what you think my take's going to be, which.
- 35:39Speaker 7: I think that penalty shootouts in soccer and the shootouts
- 35:43Speaker 7: in hockey are probably the most one of the more
- 35:47Speaker 7: exciting things in all of sports. Yes, and I don't
- 35:51Speaker 7: think that's arguable.
- 35:52Speaker 6: I think that. I mean, you take something, you got.
- 35:54Speaker 7: One on one, all the pressure of the world, like
- 35:58Speaker 7: on your shoulders.
- 36:01Speaker 6: It's so exciting.
- 36:02Speaker 7: I do hate that a game of soccer or a
- 36:05Speaker 7: game of hockey does come down to like a one
- 36:08Speaker 7: on one match. But on the other hand, it is
- 36:11Speaker 7: I don't want to I don't I don't think it
- 36:13Speaker 7: should change. I mean, that's part of the it's part
- 36:15Speaker 7: of the game, is part of the sports, you know,
- 36:18Speaker 7: up to this point. But I was we were in
- 36:21Speaker 7: a group taxt last night and I was like, and
- 36:22Speaker 7: it's kind of like you play a game of football.
- 36:25Speaker 7: You go to a couple of different overtimes and then
- 36:27Speaker 7: after it's still tied, like you have a field goal,
- 36:32Speaker 7: or like you try to hit the crossbar. The quarterbacks
- 36:34Speaker 7: try to hit the crossbar first. Like it's just like
- 36:37Speaker 7: two point conversions. Now, I know, and I don't really
- 36:40Speaker 7: like that, but you know what, I don't have a
- 36:45Speaker 7: better answer because those guys were.
- 36:46Speaker 6: Wiped at the end. Of the day.
- 36:47Speaker 7: I mean, they were all cramping, they were all they
- 36:49Speaker 7: didn't have my high clearly, I.
- 36:52Speaker 6: Guess what, Yeah, what else do you do? They just
- 36:55Speaker 6: keep playing?
- 36:55Speaker 7: Yeah, I get because at some point you're just so
- 36:57Speaker 7: tired that you're not people can't run up in on
- 37:00Speaker 7: the field. So I don't know what the like there's
- 37:02Speaker 7: another anthem, But like I mean, I do love it.
- 37:05Speaker 7: Like I said, I told my kids to stop being
- 37:07Speaker 7: kids and playing and come in here and watch this
- 37:11Speaker 7: World Cup. Actually, which I would never force my kids
- 37:13Speaker 7: to watch soccer. That's torturous.
- 37:17Speaker 2: I I I get watched somebody be like man that
- 37:20Speaker 2: can't decide to get I would. I completely get that
- 37:23Speaker 2: because it's like it's kind of something that's a little
- 37:25Speaker 2: bit different. But again, like we see in college football
- 37:27Speaker 2: when they go to two point, where we see in hockey.
- 37:31Speaker 2: But it is the most exciting way.
- 37:34Speaker 4: I think it is very exciting. Again, I mean that's legitimately.
- 37:38Speaker 2: It is like I can think you can be mad
- 37:40Speaker 2: at it, not like it and still think it's exciting.
- 37:45Speaker 4: I will say this about it.
- 37:48Speaker 7: It is a little bit more of a coin flip
- 37:52Speaker 7: type of situation than hockey is.
- 37:54Speaker 4: To me, hockey to me, is more skill on skill. Now.
- 37:59Speaker 7: I know in the soccer I'm not taking that away,
- 38:01Speaker 7: but the goalie has to guess at some point, and
- 38:05Speaker 7: hockey he's not really guessing, he's really reacting, right, And
- 38:08Speaker 7: the the guy shooting the puck has like he's got
- 38:12Speaker 7: to he's got to juke and faint and try to
- 38:17Speaker 7: get into like a really small area like.
- 38:18Speaker 6: What Charlie Conway the triple d Yeah, the triple dye.
- 38:22Speaker 4: He went quarter inch the other way.
- 38:24Speaker 7: He would have made it, you know, quarter inch the
- 38:26Speaker 7: other way.
- 38:28Speaker 4: Completely. I do think it's soccer it is.
- 38:34Speaker 7: I mean, you could you could dribble it right down
- 38:36Speaker 7: the middle, and if the goalie dove to the left
- 38:39Speaker 7: then they could still dribble in right. So I do
- 38:42Speaker 7: think it's a little bit more of a game of chance.
- 38:44Speaker 7: I don't think it's the most skillful people again hockey.
- 38:46Speaker 7: I think it's like, man, you got five guys, or
- 38:48Speaker 7: you gotta you got a badass goalie that is sitting
- 38:51Speaker 7: there who's just got the quickest hands around.
- 38:53Speaker 4: I think it's a little less of a chancy game.
- 38:56Speaker 4: So I get I do. I get the argument. I
- 38:59Speaker 4: said that, like I said, we did agree we had.
- 39:01Speaker 2: We had a lot of misses and ones they got saved,
- 39:06Speaker 2: so more than I have seen in that situation. It's
- 39:10Speaker 2: not just a normal penalty kick. It's penalty kicks. Like
- 39:12Speaker 2: it feels like almost every one of those goes in.
- 39:14Speaker 2: Within the game you get to that, you got some
- 39:19Speaker 2: tight ones and again, like it's awesome for me.
- 39:22Speaker 7: I would hate to like in Germany situation, like they
- 39:25Speaker 7: were the premier team, the world class, playing a non
- 39:31Speaker 7: world class team and they did, like I think it
- 39:33Speaker 7: stoppage time. They scored a goal in stoppage time, they
- 39:36Speaker 7: got taken away, and so it's like, oh my.
- 39:39Speaker 4: God, we're going to leave this to it. Basically, we're
- 39:41Speaker 4: leaving this to a game of chance.
- 39:42Speaker 7: Right now. It's not the best team that wins the
- 39:44Speaker 7: penalty kicks. But again, you had one hundred and twenty
- 39:48Speaker 7: minutes to.
- 39:50Speaker 4: Outscore and they did.
- 39:51Speaker 7: But they did, and they got it taken away. It
- 39:56Speaker 7: did because they tackled the goal. Yeah, I mean, it's
- 39:59Speaker 7: pretty good strategy.
- 40:00Speaker 6: He would have gotten away with it.
- 40:02Speaker 2: The thing that got him because he did get in
- 40:05Speaker 2: the goalies way. The thing that got him I think
- 40:07Speaker 2: called for the foul and he didn't even have to
- 40:10Speaker 2: do it. He grabbed jersey and you could see it
- 40:13Speaker 2: pull away from the goalie, and they protect the goalies. Yeah,
- 40:16Speaker 2: and they should so if you did that as like
- 40:19Speaker 2: it's going to be a foul.
- 40:21Speaker 7: He did almost look like he made incidental contact with him.
- 40:26Speaker 7: I don't know if that matters in soccer, but yeah,
- 40:29Speaker 7: the jersey grab got him and and the people in
- 40:33Speaker 7: the booth did not like that.
- 40:34Speaker 4: I guess they only liked to watch world class teams
- 40:37Speaker 4: move on.
- 40:38Speaker 6: Yeah, I was surprised by that because I was like.
- 40:41Speaker 2: Watching it honestly, like not like having rooting interests, like
- 40:45Speaker 2: sure would be fun for an upset, but not really caring.
- 40:47Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 40:49Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, they got to call that. And
- 40:51Speaker 2: I'm usually not that guy. Yeah, I'm usually, but I
- 40:53Speaker 2: was like, yeah they yeah, they pulled his jersey, they
- 40:55Speaker 2: gotta call that one. So I was surprised the booth
- 40:58Speaker 2: kind of disagreed with it.
- 41:01Speaker 7: I would I would hate to see USA play a
- 41:04Speaker 7: team and like they USA dominates, the possession dominates the
- 41:09Speaker 7: shops on gold Blake for whatever reason, they don't fall
- 41:11Speaker 7: or whatever, and they go to penalty kick.
- 41:14Speaker 4: That would be very nervous. That would be very frustrated
- 41:16Speaker 4: to lose that way.
- 41:18Speaker 7: But it is exciting, super fun, and I'm sure there's
- 41:21Speaker 7: a lot of players on losing teams yesterday that didn't
- 41:25Speaker 7: get much sleep because they completely choked.
- 41:30Speaker 6: Japan and Germany go down in the same day.
- 41:34Speaker 2: On US soil fout a nickel. Well last time they well, anyways,
- 41:44Speaker 2: need to give a history. You guys get it USA,
