- 0:00Speaker 1: What's going on everyone, It's your boy P two passer
- 0:03Speaker 1: Tan in the building. I want to welcome y'all to
- 0:06Speaker 1: the first edition of BR Handoff presented by Verizon. Each
- 0:11Speaker 1: and every week, NFL player will be coming up here
- 0:14Speaker 1: to be discussing storylines, best highlights throughout the week and
- 0:18Speaker 1: talk about players throughout the football game that's killing the
- 0:22Speaker 1: game at this moment and making our highlights. I got
- 0:26Speaker 1: an exciting surprise for y'all at the end of the show,
- 0:29Speaker 1: as I'll be welcoming the next guest on this R
- 0:33Speaker 1: Handoff show presented by Verizon. So let's get started. So
- 0:38Speaker 1: let's talk about my boy JSN, who's killing it right now,
- 0:43Speaker 1: who's at top of his game, one of the premier
- 0:47Speaker 1: receivers in the league. Right now. I'm about to go
- 0:49Speaker 1: with his film right now. He had a crazy highlight
- 0:53Speaker 1: play against the Cardinals touchdown, deep shot, I mean, big
- 1:00Speaker 1: play throughout the game. So let's take a look at
- 1:04Speaker 1: it from my perspective from the defense and also what
- 1:07Speaker 1: I see throughout the offense on you know how this
- 1:09Speaker 1: play was able to work and operate. So obviously we
- 1:12Speaker 1: got an under center look under center formation. It looks
- 1:16Speaker 1: like they're in twelve personnel. Twelve personnel means one running
- 1:19Speaker 1: back and two tight ends in the personnel. So just
- 1:22Speaker 1: to give y'all a quick diagnosis of that. So and
- 1:26Speaker 1: what we see here between the running back and the QB,
- 1:32Speaker 1: we see play pass. Play pass is like you faking
- 1:37Speaker 1: the handoff to the running back off of play action set.
- 1:41Speaker 1: So this is what you get here, play action read.
- 1:45Speaker 1: And obviously what that allows you to do as an offense,
- 1:51Speaker 1: it makes a defense crash on the run. And when
- 1:55Speaker 1: the defense crash on the run, that allows empty voids
- 1:59Speaker 1: about the past game. So obviously you see right here
- 2:05Speaker 1: it looked like the defenses and it looked like a
- 2:07Speaker 1: penny set here. So they got five down defensive players
- 2:12Speaker 1: at the front and obviously got two linebackers and four
- 2:15Speaker 1: defensive backs, and it looks like a quartershell. So obviously
- 2:23Speaker 1: they gonna give a quarter sha after the snap. But
- 2:26Speaker 1: this safety is showing down like a cover three. Look,
- 2:28Speaker 1: then what he's gonna do after is you're gonna see
- 2:33Speaker 1: the safety going to that quarter shehll. So when I
- 2:36Speaker 1: was mentioning before off the play pass, you see everybody crashing,
- 2:41Speaker 1: crashing for the run, and that allows the voids. As
- 2:44Speaker 1: you see here Boom off the boot. This is an
- 2:48Speaker 1: easy read. But then going off of that, you see
- 2:54Speaker 1: off of play pass, this safety off of quarters robs
- 2:58Speaker 1: this boot here robs is over. And now off of that,
- 3:04Speaker 1: the quarterback reads his safety. This is to read the
- 3:07Speaker 1: safety and he sees the safety robbed down on the
- 3:10Speaker 1: over and as you see with jess N, he does
- 3:13Speaker 1: a good job of stepping on his cornerback's toes and
- 3:17Speaker 1: as you see, he's stepping on his toes creating you
- 3:22Speaker 1: know what I mean, because you want to close the
- 3:23Speaker 1: distance off the corner. As I can see from a
- 3:28Speaker 1: fellow corner itself, I could definitely say we do not
- 3:33Speaker 1: like the feeling of having a cushion get attacked. So
- 3:37Speaker 1: what I see from receiver is he attacks the corner's cushion,
- 3:41Speaker 1: and not only he attacks his cushion, but he's creating
- 3:43Speaker 1: space for him to sell like he's running corner right here.
- 3:49Speaker 1: But now off of that, as you could see Boom,
- 3:53Speaker 1: he's selling corner with his head with his head fake
- 3:56Speaker 1: right here. Then off of that he's going vertical, and
- 4:01Speaker 1: as you can see, this creates this vertical distance for
- 4:05Speaker 1: the quarterback to throw. And when you see that as
- 4:08Speaker 1: a quarterback, are you thinking about is how could I
- 4:11Speaker 1: get this ball to the end zone furthest away from
- 4:13Speaker 1: the nearest defender. And I think that's what saying. What's
- 4:16Speaker 1: trying to do here now? Defensively, from what I've seen,
- 4:19Speaker 1: isn't quarters. It's basically a shell, right, So so quarters
- 4:25Speaker 1: is four up top, three underneath, so you got three
- 4:28Speaker 1: underneath defenders and four defensive players in the back end.
- 4:32Speaker 1: And what that does is eliminate everything over the top,
- 4:36Speaker 1: but also it has some variable So obviously in their defense,
- 4:41Speaker 1: this backside safety is robbing it over. So now when
- 4:44Speaker 1: you see that happen, obviously this safety and corner looking
- 4:49Speaker 1: to kick for anything vertical, and what I see here
- 4:52Speaker 1: is this safety strong side safety. He's supposed to kick vertically,
- 5:00Speaker 1: make this play over the top for this corner. But
- 5:03Speaker 1: from what I'm seeing is a little hesitation from the
- 5:07Speaker 1: safety here, and that's what allows the separation for Jazz
- 5:11Speaker 1: saying to score a touchdown here. So I'm gonna go
- 5:16Speaker 1: through the play here and as you can see the hesitation,
- 5:21Speaker 1: nice see all this space vertically, and Sam Donald has
- 5:24Speaker 1: easy access to throw. I think what I would like
- 5:28Speaker 1: to see from his safety here is for him to
- 5:30Speaker 1: kick faster and now look at the quarterback and just
- 5:33Speaker 1: meet him at the spot and beat Jess into the ball.
- 5:37Speaker 1: And that's you can see that hesitation a little bit
- 5:41Speaker 1: creates that void and allows Jess and to create separation.
- 5:46Speaker 1: And now the corner's left on the island. And you
- 5:49Speaker 1: don't want to be in that position in quarters because
- 5:51Speaker 1: you know you're expecting help deep. So and that's what
- 5:56Speaker 1: I see here. So even though as a corner, you
- 6:01Speaker 1: know they tell you as a corner in quarters coverage,
- 6:04Speaker 1: you got anything vertical. So if you was to have
- 6:08Speaker 1: a coach tell you what quarters mean, as a corner,
- 6:11Speaker 1: you got anything deep. So you got going, you got posts.
- 6:16Speaker 1: So I would like for this corner as well too,
- 6:20Speaker 1: to know that you've got that responsibility to not allow
- 6:25Speaker 1: him to attack your cushion and just beat him to
- 6:28Speaker 1: the spot. Run run to the spot so he doesn't
- 6:31Speaker 1: attack your upheld shoulder. So as you see, as Jason
- 6:36Speaker 1: pushes vertical, now he's even, and as they say, if
- 6:39Speaker 1: he's even, he's leaving. So that's why I see here,
- 6:44Speaker 1: And now balls in the air, and you see that
- 6:47Speaker 1: distance just is you know on top of the corner,
- 6:52Speaker 1: and now it makes it hard for a corner to
- 6:55Speaker 1: make this play because now you got to play the ball,
- 6:57Speaker 1: but also the receipt close that distance and now you're
- 7:03Speaker 1: out of position. So I think it all goes towards
- 7:08Speaker 1: this strong side safety here kicking to help this corner,
- 7:12Speaker 1: but also corner got to know that if he's sending
- 7:16Speaker 1: you vertical, you should meet him at the spot already
- 7:19Speaker 1: to not create that position. And now as you see,
- 7:23Speaker 1: that's the void and Sam Donald has an easy throw
- 7:26Speaker 1: to Jazz and for the touchdown. So obviously he's one
- 7:30Speaker 1: of the more young and polished receivers they've seen his league.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Weekend and week out, he's making a name for himself,
- 7:37Speaker 1: making big plays, making highlight plays because of this. Obviously,
- 7:42Speaker 1: we got a lot of well known receivers around the
- 7:44Speaker 1: league as well. And leading on to that, I'm gonna
- 7:48Speaker 1: make a list and build a list based on my
- 7:52Speaker 1: perfect receiver. You know, we got certain categories here, and
- 7:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna get into that. So we're gonna start off
- 7:58Speaker 1: with speed. It's a lot of fast guys in this league.
- 8:01Speaker 1: But speed, I think it's pretty obvious. You got to
- 8:04Speaker 1: go with Tyreek Hill. I mean the guy is fast,
- 8:07Speaker 1: and I went up against him. I mean he's like
- 8:10Speaker 1: a cheetah, he like a rabbit. So just his ability
- 8:14Speaker 1: to excel and de sail at a fast rate, I
- 8:17Speaker 1: think it's ridiculous. I never seen anything like it, man,
- 8:20Speaker 1: So I'll give it to Tyre kill Hands. It's a
- 8:27Speaker 1: lot of guys, but I think I'll give it to
- 8:29Speaker 1: George Pickens. I think George Pickens has uh this year.
- 8:35Speaker 1: He's ready set himself apart from others for sure. With
- 8:39Speaker 1: his hands, it seems like he's making every contested catching
- 8:44Speaker 1: the book. You know, obviously you see his one hand catches,
- 8:49Speaker 1: his fifty fifty catches. I mean the guy could just
- 8:52Speaker 1: catch it at any rate at any place. So I'll
- 8:55Speaker 1: give it to George Pickens. Route running, Uh, shoot, that's
- 8:59Speaker 1: a tough one as well, man. It's it's a lot
- 9:01Speaker 1: of route runners in this league. But I think I'll
- 9:05Speaker 1: give it to Justin Jefferson. Uh. Yeah, I mean I
- 9:08Speaker 1: see the guy week in the week out uh making
- 9:11Speaker 1: somebody uh making a certain fellow dbs, you know, falling
- 9:15Speaker 1: the ankles, you know this and that, so uh, you
- 9:18Speaker 1: know it's hard out there to cover a guy like
- 9:20Speaker 1: that that's able to stop on a dime and run.
- 9:23Speaker 1: You know, he fishing routes. So shout out to Justin
- 9:26Speaker 1: Jefferson there size. Uh, I'm got to go with DK Metcalf.
- 9:31Speaker 1: I mean, the dude is a juggernaut. I mean he's
- 9:35Speaker 1: you don't see receivers quite built like that ever so often.
- 9:40Speaker 1: So the guy is built out of a lab, made
- 9:42Speaker 1: out of a lab. So shout out DK releases. Release.
- 9:47Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to give it to Vontae Adams. I
- 9:50Speaker 1: think he's mastered his craft, his technique and releases and uh,
- 9:54Speaker 1: you know he's doing this thing out there in l A,
- 9:56Speaker 1: still doing it. You know, he's a vet that's been
- 10:00Speaker 1: a veteran his craft ever since. So I'll give releases
- 10:03Speaker 1: to Davonte Adams and there you have it. That is
- 10:08Speaker 1: my perfect receiver that I'll go with. So shout out
- 10:12Speaker 1: those guys doing their thing weekend the week out, so
- 10:15Speaker 1: we got a standout performance of the week. Shout out
- 10:19Speaker 1: my boy Jonathan Taylor out there in Indy doing his thing,
- 10:23Speaker 1: helping his team secure the win in Berlin, Germany against
- 10:28Speaker 1: the Atlanta Falcons. I mean, obviously, as you can see here,
- 10:31Speaker 1: boy had a hell of a game, man. Thirty two
- 10:35Speaker 1: rush attempts, two hundred and forty four rushing yards, three touchdowns.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Those are some game numbers, Madden like numbers. And from
- 10:44Speaker 1: what I've seen here, it seemed like he was dominating
- 10:46Speaker 1: the whole game, you know, having his way. And now
- 10:48Speaker 1: he's having those type of years, man, those special years,
- 10:52Speaker 1: and I think what makes them such a premiere back
- 10:56Speaker 1: in this league is his elusiveness, his ability to be
- 10:59Speaker 1: a play threat any time he gets the ball. And
- 11:03Speaker 1: another part about his game. I mean, obviously you see
- 11:05Speaker 1: his breakaway speed, but people be like, man, it does
- 11:08Speaker 1: seem like he's running that fast. And I'm the first
- 11:12Speaker 1: year to say I went up against some earlier this
- 11:15Speaker 1: year and the boy could run. The boy got some wheels,
- 11:18Speaker 1: and I think he like twenty two miles power consistently
- 11:22Speaker 1: throughout his career. I mean, the boy is a baller,
- 11:25Speaker 1: and I mean, I just think a guy like that
- 11:29Speaker 1: should win MVP this year. But it's crazy to think
- 11:33Speaker 1: that a guy like that with all those numbers, all
- 11:35Speaker 1: those stats, I mean, doing this thing each and every year,
- 11:40Speaker 1: he should be mentioned for MVP. But you know, obviously
- 11:45Speaker 1: qbs have won the award, you know what I mean, justifiably,
- 11:49Speaker 1: so I think they deserve it. But I think Jonathan
- 11:52Speaker 1: Taylor should be more of deserving for that award. I
- 11:55Speaker 1: think he showcase what he's able to do, you know
- 11:59Speaker 1: what I mean, helping this team win weeke in and
- 12:01Speaker 1: week out. I mean, obviously, you see the stats, two
- 12:04Speaker 1: hundred and forty four rushing yards. I mean you don't
- 12:06Speaker 1: see that at all. You don't see that quite often,
- 12:08Speaker 1: and that explains his type of game, his type of pedigree.
- 12:11Speaker 1: So I think Jonathan Taylor should be the favorite for MVP.
- 12:16Speaker 1: That's my suggestion. That's my opinion. But like I said before,
- 12:19Speaker 1: everybody got their opinions. You know, it's a subjective for awards,
- 12:24Speaker 1: so you know, but I think he's more than deserving
- 12:27Speaker 1: of MVP as long as he keeps this run going
- 12:31Speaker 1: helping his team out. So speaking of MVP, speaking of positions,
- 12:40Speaker 1: positions outside of q QB, I think should be considered
- 12:44Speaker 1: more for the MVP title. I mean, obviously from my perspective,
- 12:49Speaker 1: you know, winning Defensive Player of the Year, I think
- 12:52Speaker 1: I was like the seventh cornerback to win that award.
- 12:55Speaker 1: And obviously, see each and every year you see an
- 12:56Speaker 1: edge Russia win it and they deserve it. I mean,
- 13:00Speaker 1: edge rushers are creating havoc, dominating the games each and
- 13:04Speaker 1: every year. But at the same time, I think we
- 13:06Speaker 1: should also give love to other positions as well too.
- 13:10Speaker 1: So I mean, I know MVP. I mean you talk
- 13:13Speaker 1: about most Valuable Player and obviously first position that comes
- 13:16Speaker 1: to mind is a quarterback position, rightfully, So I mean
- 13:21Speaker 1: franchises invest advocate a lot of tours at QB and
- 13:26Speaker 1: you know, I mean the QB wins the games, you know,
- 13:30Speaker 1: more times than none. So, but I would also like
- 13:33Speaker 1: to see a change. Man. You know, we got a
- 13:35Speaker 1: lot of special players at different positions that's making plays
- 13:39Speaker 1: for their teams each and every week, and I would
- 13:41Speaker 1: love to see a change. So hopefully may see when
- 13:45Speaker 1: this year. We may never know, But I would also
- 13:48Speaker 1: like to mention, you know what I mean, I don't
- 13:50Speaker 1: want to give you know, not shout out any quarterbacks
- 13:54Speaker 1: for that reason. Obviously, I think Drake May he's having
- 13:56Speaker 1: a hell of a year, a young guy out of
- 13:59Speaker 1: New England doing this thing, helping his team win. Secure Dubbs,
- 14:04Speaker 1: he's doing this thing out there, obviously, got my homes
- 14:06Speaker 1: doing this thing. Matthew Stafford, I mean the vet, the guy,
- 14:12Speaker 1: and I mean he's just out there making plays for
- 14:16Speaker 1: his team. I mean the accuracy, the pinpoint accuracy some
- 14:21Speaker 1: of the throws that make the Nola throws is amazing
- 14:23Speaker 1: to watch, amazing to see, and I think he's definitely
- 14:26Speaker 1: deserving of it as well, So I would love to
- 14:29Speaker 1: see though. I would love to see it. It's gonna
- 14:31Speaker 1: be a interesting race. I mean, all those guys they're
- 14:33Speaker 1: winning doing that thing for the team, So we'll see.
- 14:37Speaker 1: But I think Jonathan Taylor is definitely my favorite for
- 14:40Speaker 1: the MVP title as of right now, so we'll see
- 14:43Speaker 1: how that goes. So speaking of my boy JT, Man,
- 14:46Speaker 1: I was time for the Better Deal segment. Obviously, we
- 14:49Speaker 1: got Saws in Indy and Jadob Phillips at Philly looking
- 14:55Speaker 1: at it from both ways, Man, I think you know
- 14:58Speaker 1: it was key moves for both of them, So I
- 15:00Speaker 1: can't really I don't really know which you know move
- 15:04Speaker 1: was better, But all I know is is that it's
- 15:06Speaker 1: beneficial for each of their teams because it was needs
- 15:09Speaker 1: for their team. You know, in this league, you're gonna
- 15:12Speaker 1: try to acquire the specific needs that you need to
- 15:15Speaker 1: you know, I mean achieve more and more wins and
- 15:18Speaker 1: you know, get to that next rinking in the league.
- 15:20Speaker 1: So I think it was big time moves on their part.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Obviously Saws, you know, he almost had his first pick
- 15:26Speaker 1: with the team. My boy need to catch that though, dog,
- 15:31Speaker 1: we need him. That would have been six. I mean
- 15:33Speaker 1: have a play, great recognition, uh you know, I mean
- 15:37Speaker 1: that's the big time plays that he provide to help
- 15:40Speaker 1: their help their team win games. As you can see,
- 15:45Speaker 1: and my boy Jaden Phillips out in Philly, he had
- 15:47Speaker 1: a big time fumble last night towards the end of
- 15:51Speaker 1: the game to help them boy secure the win. So obviously,
- 15:55Speaker 1: as you could see, it was well worth it. I
- 15:58Speaker 1: mean those players came in and made big time plays
- 16:02Speaker 1: for them, uh, for their respective teams. And you know
- 16:06Speaker 1: what I mean, when you trade for players like that,
- 16:07Speaker 1: that's what you expect. And obviously them boys came through.
- 16:10Speaker 1: So I think what I like most about their games. Uh.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Speaking of Sauces, I think he's a technician. I think
- 16:21Speaker 1: you know, he has all the traits. Obviously, he's a
- 16:23Speaker 1: taller corner, he's long, lengthy, got great IQ and you
- 16:28Speaker 1: know what I mean he he knows how to use
- 16:30Speaker 1: his hands at the line of scrimmage and throw receivers
- 16:33Speaker 1: timing off a lot. I like to watch his film
- 16:36Speaker 1: a lot. Uh, I watch a lot of his film
- 16:40Speaker 1: just from a technical standpoint. You know, he's one of
- 16:42Speaker 1: the best doing in the game right now. And uh
- 16:45Speaker 1: Jalen Phillips, I think he's a game wrecker. Mission every
- 16:49Speaker 1: week when you cut on the tape, he's making some
- 16:51Speaker 1: type of play whatever. It's a sack, strip, sack, tackle
- 16:55Speaker 1: for loss, so fumble, you know what I mean. You
- 16:57Speaker 1: know he's doing everything in his will too, you know,
- 17:00Speaker 1: I mean help his team out. So I think both
- 17:02Speaker 1: of those boys are ballers and they're going to continue
- 17:06Speaker 1: to make plays for their new teams. Moving on, speaking defenses,
- 17:12Speaker 1: speaking of special plays, special players, I got something to
- 17:17Speaker 1: talk about that I like to share with y'all, and
- 17:19Speaker 1: it's coming from my own shout out to my boys. Man,
- 17:24Speaker 1: the Denver defense, Denver Broncos defense, we're doing our thing
- 17:28Speaker 1: this year. I mean I could go over the stat line.
- 17:32Speaker 1: We allowed one hundred and eighty eight yards three point
- 17:36Speaker 1: two yards per play, six sacks and seven points allowed
- 17:41Speaker 1: in the winvers the LAS Vegas Raiders. I mean when
- 17:46Speaker 1: you speak about it, man, I think what we've able
- 17:49Speaker 1: to do so far this year, what we've been able
- 17:52Speaker 1: to do so far this year, I think it's pretty exceptional.
- 17:56Speaker 1: It's amazing to watch and looking at it from a
- 17:59Speaker 1: different perspective now since your boy is out with a
- 18:02Speaker 1: little injury, I'll be back in no time, by the way,
- 18:05Speaker 1: looking forward to getting back out there with them boys.
- 18:08Speaker 1: But from looking through my lenses, as you know, as
- 18:11Speaker 1: I was watching through the sidelines throughout that game, man,
- 18:13Speaker 1: I just seen pure dominance from not only uh the
- 18:21Speaker 1: front seven, but the secondary as well too. I mean,
- 18:25Speaker 1: I think we held them under two hunderd yards passing.
- 18:27Speaker 1: I think they only had like one hundred and plus
- 18:30Speaker 1: yards passing, which is exceptionally good. It was getting after it, man. Uh.
- 18:36Speaker 1: We had I think two turnovers as well too. So
- 18:41Speaker 1: to add on to the statuet, I think you know,
- 18:44Speaker 1: we set in, we set in our names in the
- 18:46Speaker 1: record books for sure. I think I mentioned, uh, you
- 18:50Speaker 1: know early on uh in training camp that we have
- 18:53Speaker 1: opportunity to be mentioned as one of the all time
- 18:56Speaker 1: great defenses. And right now we have opportunity, uh to
- 19:00Speaker 1: break the record for the most sacks in the single season.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Shout out my guys up front, Benito, who's having the
- 19:05Speaker 1: hell of a year. Uh, Defensive Player of the Year.
- 19:08Speaker 1: We'll see, we know he got my vote. Jonathan Cooper,
- 19:13Speaker 1: Zach Allen, John Franklin Myers, d J Jones, Malcolm Roe,
- 19:17Speaker 1: Shout out those guys up front creating havoc on opposing
- 19:21Speaker 1: offensive lineman and opposing quarterbacks. And shout out Alex Singleton,
- 19:26Speaker 1: Justin shanat Dre Greenlaw for MAKA things hacked happened. You
- 19:31Speaker 1: know what I mean, they got the green dot. You
- 19:32Speaker 1: know they call the place so obviously and obviously the
- 19:37Speaker 1: secondary man. Shout out Riley, Shout out huff who's having
- 19:40Speaker 1: a hell of a year, Brandon Jones, Jaqua McMillan, all
- 19:45Speaker 1: those guys. Day Barron. You know, we they've been playing
- 19:48Speaker 1: exceptional and it's a pleasure to go out there Eastern
- 19:51Speaker 1: every week and put on the show with them boys.
- 19:54Speaker 1: So it's great and it says like everybody says, you know, rightfully, So, uh,
- 20:02Speaker 1: you know, we're the best in the league, and I
- 20:04Speaker 1: think so. I just think with the work that we
- 20:05Speaker 1: put in each and every week, we hold ourselves to
- 20:09Speaker 1: a high standard. Uh when when the team gets in
- 20:12Speaker 1: the end zone, which is rare, Uh, we we often
- 20:16Speaker 1: get so mad because you know, we expect greatness out
- 20:19Speaker 1: of one of another. And uh you know what I mean.
- 20:22Speaker 1: We always say, if they get there is either field
- 20:24Speaker 1: goals or no points at all. So, uh that's the
- 20:28Speaker 1: standard we hold ourselves too. And I know my boy JK,
- 20:31Speaker 1: who's doing our thing, JK JK Dobbins, who's doing his thing.
- 20:35Speaker 1: He mentioned as well, Uh you know what I mean,
- 20:39Speaker 1: giving a shout out to us, to the defense, uh,
- 20:42Speaker 1: you know, making our plays. But you know what I mean,
- 20:45Speaker 1: I just think it goes both ways. Uh. You know, defense,
- 20:49Speaker 1: we expect to go out there and capitalize. Uh you
- 20:53Speaker 1: know what I mean on what we're giving. So JK,
- 20:56Speaker 1: you know he's having a hell of a year and defense,
- 20:59Speaker 1: I think we hold ourselves to that high standard and
- 21:02Speaker 1: towards no matter you know what the teammate throw throw
- 21:06Speaker 1: at us, Uh, We're gonna handle up and do what
- 21:09Speaker 1: we do. So shout out to the Broncos defense man.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Shout out to you know, to everybody. Uh you know,
- 21:18Speaker 1: I mean that's been doing their thing, starting up front,
- 21:21Speaker 1: to the linebackers into the secondary. So it's pretty exceptional
- 21:24Speaker 1: to be a part of and from my lenses now
- 21:27Speaker 1: to watch and it's been a pleasure as well. So
- 21:30Speaker 1: moving on, speaking of my Broncos, you see, we lead
- 21:33Speaker 1: the AFC West. Uh, the entire AFC is wide open,
- 21:37Speaker 1: as you can see. I mean, you got us, the Patriots,
- 21:40Speaker 1: the Coats. Who else we got, you know, the Chiefs
- 21:45Speaker 1: making their rounds through obviously the Chiefs, we could talk
- 21:47Speaker 1: about them. Uh, the stealers, chargers, you know, everybody. It
- 21:51Speaker 1: seemed like everything is up in the air. And I
- 21:54Speaker 1: feel like in this stretch through November and December, we're
- 21:57Speaker 1: gonna see teams separate, and you know, it's pretty tight race. Man.
- 22:01Speaker 1: For me looking at its very exciting, you know what
- 22:04Speaker 1: I mean, because there's a lot of competitive teams out
- 22:06Speaker 1: there in our conference, and you know, in order to
- 22:10Speaker 1: sustain that, we've got to continue to win games, continue
- 22:14Speaker 1: to be excellent, and continue to control our own destiny.
- 22:18Speaker 1: And with that, obviously we got a tough challenge with
- 22:22Speaker 1: a division fow and the Chiefs this week. Looking forward
- 22:25Speaker 1: to that one. You know, big time games, you know,
- 22:29Speaker 1: big time players got to step up in big time moments,
- 22:32Speaker 1: so you know that'd be crucial games. And obviously this
- 22:37Speaker 1: week we got a lot of good, big time games.
- 22:39Speaker 1: I know there's the Seahawks and the Rams. I know
- 22:44Speaker 1: they're both the top of their division as well too,
- 22:46Speaker 1: and the Lions and Eagles Sunday nights. So now I'm
- 22:49Speaker 1: looking forward to to it. Man, it's gonna be very exciting,
- 22:53Speaker 1: a great week of event for football. And yeah, so,
- 22:58Speaker 1: and that's an interesting look at this. It looks pretty
- 23:02Speaker 1: similar to how it did in two thousand and seven
- 23:05Speaker 1: with the Patriots, Brocos, and Coats leading their respective divisions.
- 23:09Speaker 1: It's kind of nostalgic as well too to see it.
- 23:12Speaker 1: But speaking of these teams, we got a little segment
- 23:16Speaker 1: going on. I'm gonna guess which wide out led each
- 23:22Speaker 1: of the top AFC teams now in two thousand and
- 23:25Speaker 1: seven in receiving yards. So we're bringing it back sometime.
- 23:30Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to bring my memory card here to remember.
- 23:33Speaker 1: But let's start off with the Patriots two thousand and
- 23:36Speaker 1: seven receiving yard team leader. Who is If I'm familiar,
- 23:44Speaker 1: I think it's Randy Moss. I'm gonna have to go
- 23:46Speaker 1: to Randy Moss, am I right, Adam, I'm right. Randy Moss. Obviously,
- 23:53Speaker 1: as you can see, fourteen hundred yards, that's a great year.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Randy Moss, all time go, all time great his position.
- 24:00Speaker 1: So shout out Randy. So moving on with the coach,
- 24:05Speaker 1: There's two familiar names that come to mind, Marvin Harrison
- 24:11Speaker 1: and Reggie Wayne. But if I have to take a guess,
- 24:15Speaker 1: I'll go at Reggie Wayne. You know, obviously another prolific
- 24:19Speaker 1: receiver as you can see, got that right, fifteen hundred
- 24:23Speaker 1: receiving yards. Shout out to that boy making plays, and
- 24:28Speaker 1: right now he is a receivers coach. I believe for
- 24:32Speaker 1: the coach as we speak, so that I know that
- 24:35Speaker 1: boy is giving tons of games to the receivers. Shout
- 24:38Speaker 1: out to the boys. So moving on, we got the Chargers. Shoot,
- 24:44Speaker 1: let me think, can I get a hit? Admin? I
- 24:50Speaker 1: need I need a little hit here. Okay, As I thought,
- 24:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna say Antonio Gates as I see Hall of
- 24:58Speaker 1: Fame tail end. Definitely Antonio Gates. Am, I right, let's
- 25:05Speaker 1: do it at nine hundred and eighty four yards. Shout
- 25:10Speaker 1: out to that boy, ag hall of famer, one of
- 25:15Speaker 1: the all time great to his position. Deservedly so, so
- 25:19Speaker 1: Antonio Gates. And last but not least, we got the
- 25:23Speaker 1: Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh two thousand and seven. Let me think,
- 25:30Speaker 1: let me take it back sometime two thousand and seven.
- 25:36Speaker 1: I'm gonna take a guess, and I think I'm right,
- 25:40Speaker 1: but I'm gonna going Hines Ward No. Two thousand and seven.
- 25:45Speaker 1: It wasn't ab Santonio Holmes. Santonio Holmes that came in clutch.
- 25:53Speaker 1: I remember that catch in the Super Bowl against the Cardinals,
- 25:56Speaker 1: one of the best catches you'll see in his lifetime.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Shout out at boy, Santonio Holmes, another legend. So there
- 26:04Speaker 1: you have it all time, receiving yard team leaders in
- 26:09Speaker 1: two thousand and seven. So Sharuton, boys, that's gonna do
- 26:13Speaker 1: it for me. Now, I'm gonna hand it off to
- 26:16Speaker 1: the surprising guest, the next host of this episode, Nick Bolton,
- 26:23Speaker 1: for next week's episode to be our handoff. Each week,
- 26:27Speaker 1: the hosts will ask the next host of question. So
- 26:30Speaker 1: my question to Nick is, what is your pregame routine?
- 26:33Speaker 1: What does that look like like? Who's your favorite artist
- 26:36Speaker 1: you like to listen to before the game, do you
- 26:38Speaker 1: have a pregame meal, etc. I would like to know
- 26:41Speaker 1: the answer my dog. Obviously, you're a baller doing your
- 26:44Speaker 1: thing in Kansas City. Shout out to you. Can't wait
- 26:46Speaker 1: to hear that answer, and that's it for me. This
- 26:49Speaker 1: is be our handoff, presented by Verizon Peace
