- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Benn and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with her radio. It is time for the Almost Famous podcast.
- 0:07Speaker 1: We have Marissa Gunn on today to share everything that
- 0:11Speaker 1: she will that We ask her about her relationship with
- 0:15Speaker 1: Riley Where to go Wrong? Um, but we also have
- 0:19Speaker 1: bachelor headlines. This is a great offseason episode, Ashley. It
- 0:23Speaker 1: is the off season. Um. We're just checking in. How
- 0:27Speaker 1: is Jared doing a lot of people have been asking,
- 0:29Speaker 1: and well, I think you're the right person give us
- 0:31Speaker 1: the answer. Oh, well, Jared had COVID, but you know,
- 0:36Speaker 1: not not a big downer. He has been fine. It's
- 0:41Speaker 1: been like a bad cold. He had maybe two days
- 0:45Speaker 1: where he was pretty much just chilling in bed. But
- 0:49Speaker 1: there was one day he was like putting the shutters
- 0:51Speaker 1: up on the house, and then yesterday he's in fine.
- 0:54Speaker 1: He's been keeping his distance from Dawson. Um hasn't held
- 0:58Speaker 1: him for like four or five days, so that's made
- 1:00Speaker 1: him sad. Um. But no, he's he's been fine. It's
- 1:05Speaker 1: all good. He's been messed up and you know, staying
- 1:09Speaker 1: six ft apart from me and resting. He needed some arrest.
- 1:14Speaker 1: You know, the first day he was off and he
- 1:17Speaker 1: was feeling you know, pretty normal. He he had a
- 1:21Speaker 1: smile on his face and he was feeling kind of
- 1:25Speaker 1: free because he had no choice but to relax. And
- 1:29Speaker 1: that's kind of the day that he needed. It couldn't
- 1:32Speaker 1: have been him. Couldn't have been up to him to
- 1:34Speaker 1: be like, you know what, I can go check on
- 1:36Speaker 1: the shop, like I should be down there, Like there
- 1:38Speaker 1: was no I should because he shouldn't. He should have
- 1:40Speaker 1: been in bed. It's right, well, good for him, Like
- 1:43Speaker 1: we said, we just gotta jump into it. We've got
- 1:45Speaker 1: a huge episode today. Uh, it's a great offseason episode,
- 1:49Speaker 1: and well this is the almost Famest podcast, so it's
- 1:51Speaker 1: always going to be a good episode when you're listening
- 1:54Speaker 1: and we're around. So hey, stay tuned from Marissa gun
- 2:08Speaker 1: all right, we have the first time on the Almost
- 2:11Speaker 1: Famous podcast Marissa Gunn. Hey, Marissa, Hey, thanks for having me. Guys,
- 2:18Speaker 1: thank you for being here. I'm going to start it
- 2:21Speaker 1: off and be blunt and wild. Marissa, what happened with you?
- 2:25Speaker 1: And Riley? Tell us everything, because we know that you've
- 2:29Speaker 1: like shaded him a little bit on social and so
- 2:32Speaker 1: have your friends come on. I feel like it's been
- 2:35Speaker 1: kind of like shady. I have not been shady in
- 2:38Speaker 1: any sort of way. Okay, wait what friend was recently
- 2:43Speaker 1: on and she was like, there was like a shady
- 2:46Speaker 1: caption that we read a couple of weeks ago. And
- 2:48Speaker 1: I don't mean shady, I mean like it alluded, Oh
- 2:51Speaker 1: I know what it was. You didn't interview, and you
- 2:54Speaker 1: alluded that some people, maybe your ex fiance included, weren't
- 3:01Speaker 1: really there in Paradise for love. And he said, it's
- 3:05Speaker 1: hard finding that out in the aftermath. I didn't say
- 3:09Speaker 1: that they weren't there for love. I think that it's
- 3:14Speaker 1: just like some like, being in the circumstances we were in,
- 3:18Speaker 1: it became reality like coming out of the show, you know,
- 3:21Speaker 1: like and sometimes who you meet on the show is
- 3:24Speaker 1: not who they are after the show, if that makes sense. Um,
- 3:28Speaker 1: I'm not trying to shade in any way. Like I
- 3:32Speaker 1: everything we our whole relationship was legit of course, like
- 3:37Speaker 1: I loved him from the bottom of my heart. I'm
- 3:40Speaker 1: sure he loved me back. Um, but yeah, it just
- 3:44Speaker 1: it just didn't work out. There's no shade. I mean,
- 3:48Speaker 1: it's it's it's it's a difficult situation where yeah, the
- 3:53Speaker 1: reason this is so um so much on our minds. One,
- 3:59Speaker 1: we do have a question for you that we've been
- 4:00Speaker 1: asking for a year now about Bachelor Paradise, so we
- 4:03Speaker 1: can never figure out about you. That will come later
- 4:05Speaker 1: and our audience knows what that is. It's a good question,
- 4:07Speaker 1: but we're curious, um, and we've been waiting to ask you.
- 4:10Speaker 1: But the the reason this is such a big gil
- 4:14Speaker 1: to us is because we're such were we were and
- 4:17Speaker 1: are such big supporters of you. Um, it's really awesome
- 4:23Speaker 1: this year to watch you shine and to watch your
- 4:26Speaker 1: story unfold. You had a crazy story, Like that's what
- 4:29Speaker 1: we watch this show for is to see stories unfold.
- 4:31Speaker 1: And from dating Connord and seeing Riley come down the beach,
- 4:34Speaker 1: it's like for us, we're very invested into you, and
- 4:37Speaker 1: I think many are. This is all coming from a
- 4:38Speaker 1: place of a lot of investments, invested as everyone else.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Like I was just as invested as everyone else. Um,
- 4:45Speaker 1: clearly I there are things I would go about in
- 4:50Speaker 1: a different way, um knowing now, but yeah, it was
- 4:55Speaker 1: it was tough. I mean I was just invested as
- 4:58Speaker 1: invested I like, coming on the show, I had never
- 5:02Speaker 1: watched it, like watched any of the franchise or anything.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Goss at home the first night, you know. So me,
- 5:09Speaker 1: I'm thinking, oh, this is like we're all gonna be
- 5:11Speaker 1: looking for love. We're all going here to find love,
- 5:14Speaker 1: you know. And for me, Um, I think with the
- 5:20Speaker 1: like with Riley and I relationship, how it started like
- 5:24Speaker 1: so unorthodox, like now I know, like I'm older, I'm overture,
- 5:28Speaker 1: now I've been here, like I know what I want
- 5:31Speaker 1: in a man, Like I think I was like unsure
- 5:34Speaker 1: like going into that that sense. When did you feel
- 5:38Speaker 1: like the first signs of it going south happened? Um?
- 5:48Speaker 1: I mean clearly you guys saw me on the beach
- 5:50Speaker 1: all the time, like breaking down, thinking he was not
- 5:53Speaker 1: as into me as I was him, Like I was
- 5:56Speaker 1: all in so in love, um, from day on, you know,
- 6:01Speaker 1: And that's kind of where it started. Like the feeling
- 6:04Speaker 1: that I had there in Paradise was kind of the
- 6:08Speaker 1: feeling that just continued to go on. So, yes, I
- 6:11Speaker 1: get upset with myself. You knew it right then and there,
- 6:15Speaker 1: but you were just trying to like work through the
- 6:16Speaker 1: circumstances and thinking like, oh, you're kind of being a
- 6:19Speaker 1: little nuts, like he's so into you, especially when you
- 6:22Speaker 1: see it on TV, like he's not into anyone else
- 6:26Speaker 1: doing anything, you know, and for me, the feeling still
- 6:30Speaker 1: carried over throughout our whole relationship. Understand I uh, it's understandable.
- 6:36Speaker 1: I mean I can relate. You. You're on the show
- 6:38Speaker 1: and it's romantic, and there's people in your ears, and
- 6:42Speaker 1: there's friends in your ears telling you exactly, you know, hey,
- 6:47Speaker 1: this is a good thing. No, like, don't worry, You're
- 6:49Speaker 1: just you're stressed out, and then exactly, and it's like
- 6:53Speaker 1: so weird. It's like you can't these are people you're
- 6:58Speaker 1: just meeting, right, And especially for me because I was
- 7:01Speaker 1: in the franchise but not really in like baster Nation
- 7:04Speaker 1: hanging out with everyone had a lot of friends, you know,
- 7:07Speaker 1: so it's like, how can you really like listen to
- 7:11Speaker 1: what these people are? Like you take their advice and everything, right,
- 7:14Speaker 1: but then you carry on to the real world. Now
- 7:17Speaker 1: it's like you don't want to listen to your real
- 7:19Speaker 1: your friends outside of the show, because they have no
- 7:22Speaker 1: idea what we just went through, you know what I mean.
- 7:25Speaker 1: And then being there with people that you're just meeting,
- 7:28Speaker 1: but at the time like they're like your best friends,
- 7:31Speaker 1: you know, because who else are you going to be
- 7:33Speaker 1: able to talk to and they're gassing you up, like,
- 7:36Speaker 1: oh no, he's so into you. He's so into you.
- 7:39Speaker 1: You're you're kind of losing it, you know, and you
- 7:42Speaker 1: start to think you're losing it, and then when you
- 7:45Speaker 1: get engaged, you're like, oh, they were right. You were
- 7:49Speaker 1: eliminated night one on Peter season and you were and
- 7:56Speaker 1: you said you hadn't really watched the franchise before. So
- 8:00Speaker 1: when you were eliminated night one, were you kind of
- 8:02Speaker 1: like gave it a world didn't work out not for me?
- 8:06Speaker 1: Or was it like, oh, man, like this is devastating.
- 8:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna go home and tell everybody I was. I
- 8:12Speaker 1: was sent home on night one. And then as a
- 8:14Speaker 1: follow up, how shocked were you to hear from producers
- 8:18Speaker 1: that they want to do in Paradise? Well, so for
- 8:22Speaker 1: like being eliminated night one, really I was like, you
- 8:25Speaker 1: know what they were asking me, how does this make
- 8:27Speaker 1: you feel? All this stuff? I'm like, honestly, his loss
- 8:30Speaker 1: like he lost out, I'll getting to know like a
- 8:33Speaker 1: good girl, you know, And so it didn't really hurt
- 8:36Speaker 1: me or ifend me at all? It was I would
- 8:38Speaker 1: have rather gotten eliminated night one than week four, you know,
- 8:43Speaker 1: so um, it didn't. It didn't hurt me. And then
- 8:46Speaker 1: when they asked me to come back to Paradise, I
- 8:49Speaker 1: was I was really shook, especially because I'm like and
- 8:52Speaker 1: they were like, you're the new grocery store Joe. So
- 8:54Speaker 1: then I'm like, who is this grocery store Joe guy?
- 8:59Speaker 1: You kind of you've kind of you kind of became
- 9:02Speaker 1: him or I guess now people will be referencing you when, uh,
- 9:06Speaker 1: when somebody goes home at night one and they bring
- 9:08Speaker 1: them back in your you did you became a huge character.
- 9:12Speaker 1: I think I said last week, I thought I saw
- 9:14Speaker 1: you in some Instagram videos. You now have friendships within
- 9:17Speaker 1: this world, right? Do you feel a part of Bachelor
- 9:19Speaker 1: Nation now? Yeah? Absolutely? I mean I've made so many
- 9:24Speaker 1: great friends. Demi one of my best friends. Like her
- 9:28Speaker 1: and I are like two peas in a pod called
- 9:30Speaker 1: tweetled Bee and tweetledome uh and then Deaner She's like
- 9:33Speaker 1: my sister. And Ivan, Oh my gosh. Ivan is like
- 9:37Speaker 1: my brother. He tell him everything. He's great. He was
- 9:43Speaker 1: like when he went when he got at home on Paradise,
- 9:45Speaker 1: I cried. I cried. I was more upset that he
- 9:48Speaker 1: goes at home I'm like, my therapist has gone, Ah,
- 9:53Speaker 1: could there be a possible romance between you and Ivan?
- 9:59Speaker 1: I think Ivan I was a a friend. Actually I
- 10:01Speaker 1: know I'm a friend. So no, that's too bad. But
- 10:07Speaker 1: maybe that's the only reason why we don't have to
- 10:12Speaker 1: have her answer to that. Yeah, without giggles, that are
- 10:17Speaker 1: all we need. Now, Um, you know you your time
- 10:21Speaker 1: obviously on the Bachelor with sure you go to Paradise,
- 10:24Speaker 1: things happen. What advice now, uh, do you have looking
- 10:28Speaker 1: back on your time? Now? There you just said you
- 10:31Speaker 1: know you're questioning things in the beach. Um you weren't
- 10:35Speaker 1: listening to your gut or you didn't listen to your
- 10:37Speaker 1: gut necessarily because it was hard to it was confusing to.
- 10:41Speaker 1: So if if there's a future contestant listening to this podcast,
- 10:44Speaker 1: what advice would you give them? While if they were
- 10:47Speaker 1: in that same situation, I would say, um, just stick
- 10:54Speaker 1: to your gut, like, stay true to your gut. If
- 10:57Speaker 1: you feel something, it's probably for a reason, absolutely, And
- 11:02Speaker 1: I know what you want. Well, knowing what you want
- 11:06Speaker 1: going into it is different than knowing what you deserve
- 11:09Speaker 1: and what you need. Um, if that makes sense, because
- 11:13Speaker 1: you can want something so bad, like like my shiny
- 11:18Speaker 1: quarter and penny reference. It's like you can know that
- 11:25Speaker 1: you want something, but it might not be what you
- 11:27Speaker 1: need and what you deserve. Mhm yeah, Like make sure
- 11:31Speaker 1: you know going into it the questions to ask the
- 11:34Speaker 1: relationship you want to be in, um, the future that
- 11:37Speaker 1: you want, like make sure you're compatible like with your
- 11:42Speaker 1: with how you want to raise kids, how you want
- 11:44Speaker 1: to have family, things like that, where you want to live. Um.
- 11:47Speaker 1: I made the mistake by trying to sacrifice everything going
- 11:52Speaker 1: into it for love. But I mean I don't think
- 11:57Speaker 1: it was really a sacrifice. I mean, when you're in
- 12:00Speaker 1: that's what you do, you know, So honestly, I don't know.
- 12:04Speaker 1: I'm still questioning it myself. Where are you living? I
- 12:09Speaker 1: live in Atlanta right now? Well back, okay were you
- 12:13Speaker 1: Did you have any attentions on moving before? Did you move?
- 12:17Speaker 1: I didn't, yep, I moved to New York. Um. We
- 12:21Speaker 1: were living together for a little bit. Mm hmm. So
- 12:25Speaker 1: are you dating at all? Now? Again? I mean, so
- 12:31Speaker 1: going into the show, I clearly want love. I want marriage,
- 12:34Speaker 1: I want babies, like that's all that That's what I
- 12:37Speaker 1: want to do. And so now recently I know, I
- 12:40Speaker 1: haven't been on a day before. I did go on
- 12:43Speaker 1: a date a few weeks ago. I mean, I'm still
- 12:49Speaker 1: trying to go on dates. I was like, at this point,
- 12:51Speaker 1: I'm gonna put an ad out because of course i
- 12:57Speaker 1: can't find somebody just sitting in my house like the time.
- 13:00Speaker 1: You know, so, and I don't like to go out
- 13:02Speaker 1: a lot. I'm dating. I find to date you've gone
- 13:08Speaker 1: out there, I'm finding my husband. Is this person that
- 13:11Speaker 1: you went on a date with from Bachelor Nation? Absolutely
- 13:15Speaker 1: not no, no, and he's not He's not even in
- 13:20Speaker 1: the picture the day. The day was fun, but the
- 13:23Speaker 1: date was this one dated. But you say that, like
- 13:27Speaker 1: you don't want to date anyone from Bachelor Nation? Would
- 13:29Speaker 1: you go okay, okay, okay, so so you've been down,
- 13:35Speaker 1: you'd be possibly down to date somebody from Bachelor Nation. Yeah,
- 13:39Speaker 1: there's a lot there are Listen, there are there are
- 13:44Speaker 1: so many amazing people that come out of fasclination. Okay, Um,
- 13:48Speaker 1: I would I would be open? Yeah? And would you
- 13:52Speaker 1: be open paradise again? Mm hmm, I would be. I
- 14:00Speaker 1: say that to say I would be very open to
- 14:03Speaker 1: going into Paradise because my first initial or like the
- 14:07Speaker 1: first time I went into Paradise, I went into it
- 14:10Speaker 1: with the right reasons, right intention, and I would do
- 14:12Speaker 1: the same thing this time, you know. And I do
- 14:14Speaker 1: believe that it actually works, you know, I do believe it.
- 14:18Speaker 1: It's just it takes two to tango, you know. You see,
- 14:23Speaker 1: you see a lot of success stories too, from Bachelor
- 14:26Speaker 1: in Paradise where somebody went on, had a very serious relationship,
- 14:29Speaker 1: kind of learned more about what they were wanting, and
- 14:33Speaker 1: then come back on and find somebody that becomes their partner.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Which leads me to, um, this question, what are you
- 14:40Speaker 1: looking for? Now? You've mentioned a couple of times that
- 14:42Speaker 1: you know what you're looking for. You you've at least
- 14:44Speaker 1: learned some things that you're looking for that maybe you
- 14:46Speaker 1: didn't have before. What are those things? Yeah? I mean
- 14:50Speaker 1: I'm looking for, you know, someone that knows what they want, um,
- 14:55Speaker 1: and doesn't just say it. They know what they want,
- 14:57Speaker 1: they want to they're very ambitious, um, someone that wants
- 15:03Speaker 1: the same things I want. And it's just it's just
- 15:10Speaker 1: it's so I guess, like when you know, you know,
- 15:15Speaker 1: like them, I know the right questions to ask, you know,
- 15:18Speaker 1: Like I know not to just fall in love with
- 15:21Speaker 1: somebody right away that says, oh, you're pretty, you know,
- 15:24Speaker 1: and I want to take you on a date. And
- 15:26Speaker 1: that's kind of like the mistake I made before. I
- 15:28Speaker 1: feel like I was just so ready for love that
- 15:33Speaker 1: I would like, I would take anything at that point,
- 15:35Speaker 1: you know. And now I've found myself. I've done a
- 15:38Speaker 1: lot of like help, I've been through therapy, a lot
- 15:41Speaker 1: of things like that, and I just know my worth
- 15:45Speaker 1: and myself now, because at first, I feel like I
- 15:47Speaker 1: was kind of going down like to make this person
- 15:51Speaker 1: happy rather than um meeting or like making each other grow.
- 15:55Speaker 1: You know. God, yeah, that sounds like what Telling more
- 16:00Speaker 1: On said to me and Bachelor in Paradise my first season,
- 16:03Speaker 1: she said, she Tenley Tenley moles On. She said something
- 16:07Speaker 1: along the line, and she calls it a whimsical attachment. Um,
- 16:11Speaker 1: it's somebody that you needed to meet to create a
- 16:15Speaker 1: stepping stone on the path to finding the right person.
- 16:19Speaker 1: That's exactly That's exactly what it's like. And I don't
- 16:22Speaker 1: regret anything at all. Um. I learned so much, not
- 16:28Speaker 1: only like just about life, but about myself, you know,
- 16:31Speaker 1: being able to do this and go through that experience.
- 16:34Speaker 1: And we did jump into everything like fairly quickly. But
- 16:38Speaker 1: it's because I knew what I wanted, Like from day one,
- 16:41Speaker 1: I said, I want to get married, I want to
- 16:43Speaker 1: have kids. I want to let you know that's what
- 16:45Speaker 1: you do when you're engaged, when you get married. Yeah, yeah,
- 16:49Speaker 1: did you at all? Um? You just said that you
- 16:54Speaker 1: when you know, you know, did you feel like you
- 16:57Speaker 1: know you know with Riley or did you feel more
- 16:59Speaker 1: like it was there was that hesitation because you did
- 17:02Speaker 1: say that you had that insecurity. So maybe like what
- 17:06Speaker 1: you're looking for in the next relationship would be like
- 17:08Speaker 1: no insecurities exactly. Yeah, absolutely, no insecurities. And I knew,
- 17:14Speaker 1: like I knew how I felt is a thing like
- 17:17Speaker 1: and I was completely authentic, genuine throughout the whole thing.
- 17:21Speaker 1: And that's why I think I tried so hard, even
- 17:24Speaker 1: though my gut feeling was always there, you know, Like
- 17:27Speaker 1: That's why I was like, no, there's other things going on.
- 17:30Speaker 1: It's not me, like I'm overthinking all that stuff. Um.
- 17:35Speaker 1: And then essentially I think we just both realized that
- 17:38Speaker 1: it's this isn't it. And I think we both realized
- 17:41Speaker 1: it a lot sooner than we finally just walked. We
- 17:44Speaker 1: both tried like we really tried. How does it feel now?
- 17:48Speaker 1: How are you doing now? We haven't got to that.
- 17:50Speaker 1: I mean, we've talked about you getting back out in
- 17:52Speaker 1: the dating world. We've talked about you not going home,
- 17:54Speaker 1: we talked about you even potentially going back on Paradise,
- 17:57Speaker 1: but we haven't exactly asked you the question how are
- 17:59Speaker 1: you now? I am doing great, honestly, like better than ever. Um.
- 18:06Speaker 1: The last couple of months were very, very tough. It
- 18:10Speaker 1: took a lot of friends, family, self like realization, UM,
- 18:17Speaker 1: self care, a lot of that. I've been going to
- 18:20Speaker 1: church doing things like that. Um, but I feel great,
- 18:24Speaker 1: Like the fact that I even went on a date.
- 18:26Speaker 1: I was like, Okay, you're you're getting out there. It's good.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Off and get back in it's important. Yeah, exactly, but great, happy,
- 18:35Speaker 1: better than I've ever been. Well before we let you go, Marissa,
- 18:40Speaker 1: we have this burning question. We've had it since YR
- 18:44Speaker 1: season and air in August in September. We don't know
- 18:48Speaker 1: whether it's one of those things. I don't remember what
- 18:50Speaker 1: they're called. Now I must look it up. I must
- 18:54Speaker 1: look it up, but you guys, press pause here. I
- 18:56Speaker 1: need to know the exactly It's a big question. I've
- 18:59Speaker 1: been asking this question for a long time. I'm wonder
- 19:02Speaker 1: hold on, but it was a big question. Okay, okaykay,
- 19:06Speaker 1: all right. You know what a Mandela effect is. It's
- 19:11Speaker 1: like the whole generation thinks of it one way, but
- 19:16Speaker 1: it's really something totally different, like the Barren stay In Bears,
- 19:19Speaker 1: like we've always but it's like, really the Barren Stein Bears,
- 19:23Speaker 1: but we've always said stand Barren Staying Bears, but it's
- 19:27Speaker 1: really Barren. It's like very freaking weird. Okay, like these
- 19:31Speaker 1: things happen. Did you make out with somebody else in
- 19:35Speaker 1: Paradise while you're with Riley? Because Ben and I swear
- 19:38Speaker 1: that we saw it on a preeview, like we both
- 19:43Speaker 1: saw it individually. We came here, yeah, and we talked
- 19:48Speaker 1: about it, and nobody else seems to have brought it
- 19:52Speaker 1: up except for us, but we both swear we saw
- 19:55Speaker 1: it with both of our eyes individually. I think I
- 19:58Speaker 1: know exactly where you're talking about because my family asked
- 20:03Speaker 1: me the same thing and gone on them because I'm like,
- 20:05Speaker 1: if you don't know who I am like that, I think,
- 20:09Speaker 1: are you sure it wasn't Justen? No? It looked because
- 20:13Speaker 1: she was already gone. I think at this point, I
- 20:15Speaker 1: think unless they pulled an old clip yeah and brought
- 20:20Speaker 1: her in. Okay, so unless they brought her on, it
- 20:24Speaker 1: was like maybe a three second of somebody's back and
- 20:29Speaker 1: some guy sitting like you couldn't see who either of
- 20:31Speaker 1: them really were, but you were left just Sina was gone.
- 20:35Speaker 1: But that would make sense, That would make sense they
- 20:37Speaker 1: put Joe Senia in there, But we wouldn't have even
- 20:41Speaker 1: thought it would have been Joe Senna because she had
- 20:43Speaker 1: already gone home. Yeah, I think that might be. But
- 20:47Speaker 1: because she we both do the slip bag little mine
- 20:51Speaker 1: or the curly hair. We were the two with the
- 20:53Speaker 1: curly hair going all the time. Uh, you've answered it. Yeah.
- 21:00Speaker 1: The only other person I made out was was Connor
- 21:04Speaker 1: and I know that. Yeah, yeah, I know that. Yeah,
- 21:09Speaker 1: we all know that. Actually Connor was fun. Connor is
- 21:14Speaker 1: a great guy. Yeah. Well, somebody else you've answered our
- 21:20Speaker 1: question was a person. Good. Well, it's been burning since
- 21:24Speaker 1: the day that teaser came out. Thank you for answering it,
- 21:27Speaker 1: Thank you for coming on the almost famous podcast. Where
- 21:30Speaker 1: can people find you and follow you and stay in
- 21:33Speaker 1: touch with your life now outside of the Bachelor. Yeah,
- 21:38Speaker 1: so I mean, I'm on Instagram. Um risa gun pretty
- 21:43Speaker 1: much just about it. I like to be on Twitter.
- 21:44Speaker 1: I tweet here and there. I'm really low key though.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Um but yeah Instagram, I like to I've started juicing,
- 21:52Speaker 1: so if you want to know about juicing, come on over. Okay,
- 21:55Speaker 1: love it sounds good. I am actually like very interested.
- 22:00Speaker 1: I I am so glad that you're on here, that
- 22:03Speaker 1: you came on. We loved watching you, and yeah, we
- 22:06Speaker 1: hope to see more of you. Thank you, guys for
- 22:08Speaker 1: having me. I'm so nice to meet you. Nice to
- 22:11Speaker 1: meet you too. Yeah, nice to meet you too. Thanks
- 22:13Speaker 1: for doing this. Than a good night. It's time for
- 22:28Speaker 1: Bachelor headlines with our resident expert, Ashley I Ken Eddie. Hey, Ashley,
- 22:32Speaker 1: here's the first headline. It's just a good headline to
- 22:36Speaker 1: start out with. I think because we've been talking about
- 22:38Speaker 1: a lot. Bachelorette's Ryan center is in much better place
- 22:42Speaker 1: two years into health battle. I'm on the right path,
- 22:45Speaker 1: he says, I remember when we broke this story. In fact,
- 22:49Speaker 1: his wife Trista is hosting a podcast kind of underneath
- 22:53Speaker 1: the almost famous uh umbrella, So you guys got to
- 22:56Speaker 1: go check that out. It's a great podcast. They do
- 22:58Speaker 1: a great job together, incredible chemistry. Up. Anyways, back to
- 23:01Speaker 1: her husband, Actually, he's feeling better two years into health battle.
- 23:04Speaker 1: What's going on? So happy that he's feeling better because
- 23:08Speaker 1: we remember when it was a mystery and now we
- 23:10Speaker 1: know that he has lime disease, which can be so
- 23:13Speaker 1: awful and it can be tricky to diagnose. So he says,
- 23:17Speaker 1: it's been about two years since I started to feel sick.
- 23:20Speaker 1: I reflect on a journey that has challenged my life
- 23:23Speaker 1: and those in it in ways that I don't suppose
- 23:25Speaker 1: i'd ever imagine. He says that he gets so many
- 23:28Speaker 1: questions and um sentiments of support, people you know, diagnosing him, opinions,
- 23:37Speaker 1: and while he's found ways that are starting to help him,
- 23:41Speaker 1: he says that with lime disease, every journey is uniquely personal.
- 23:46Speaker 1: No paths are the same, So while he would like
- 23:49Speaker 1: to provide advice, he hesitates to do so. Um. He
- 23:54Speaker 1: said that he feels happy and excited about how he's
- 23:57Speaker 1: been improving, and as appropriate it, he will continue to
- 24:01Speaker 1: share his story and encourage others to find ways to
- 24:05Speaker 1: make them feel better. We're really excited about that. And um,
- 24:11Speaker 1: you know, my buddy had lime disease originally Brandon before.
- 24:14Speaker 1: As we talked about last week, a ls A lot
- 24:16Speaker 1: of people have their strong opinions on what you should
- 24:18Speaker 1: be doing when you have lime disease, and it's sometimes
- 24:20Speaker 1: really helpful, sometimes really overwhelming, And so I totally get
- 24:24Speaker 1: what he's saying, just from the outside looking in. It's
- 24:27Speaker 1: good to hear Ryan and it's doing better. Um Again,
- 24:29Speaker 1: make sure you listen to his wife talk on Formerly
- 24:32Speaker 1: Famous Underneath the Almost Famous Umbrella Well. Michelle Young reveals
- 24:36Speaker 1: it was awkward running into her ex Matt James with
- 24:40Speaker 1: their new partners. So Michelle was with Nate and Matt
- 24:46Speaker 1: was with Rachel at the final four March Madness game
- 24:49Speaker 1: in Minnesota, and she said on the Happy Hour podcast,
- 24:54Speaker 1: she said, it was unexpected to run into them. You know,
- 24:57Speaker 1: when you expect to run into one of your actus
- 25:00Speaker 1: at some point, it's inevitable that after you break up
- 25:03Speaker 1: down the line, you can run into them. I always
- 25:07Speaker 1: knew that there would come a time when Matt and
- 25:09Speaker 1: I would cross paths again, you know, obviously because of
- 25:11Speaker 1: the bachelor community, not not that you always have to
- 25:14Speaker 1: run into your ex's she said. Rachel and I also
- 25:17Speaker 1: still catch up sometimes so you aren't completely disconnected. But
- 25:22Speaker 1: I was really surprised when we ran into them in Minnesota.
- 25:25Speaker 1: That is the last place I thought we bumped into them. Um,
- 25:28Speaker 1: we've been in New York, in l A and so
- 25:30Speaker 1: much that we'd think that we, you know, find meet
- 25:33Speaker 1: up with them then. But it would call me off
- 25:36Speaker 1: guard to see them in Minnesota. That doesn't seem too
- 25:39Speaker 1: weird to me because of the event going on. But
- 25:42Speaker 1: of course not up to me to call whatever surprising surprising.
- 25:46Speaker 1: But but as far as was it was awkward or not,
- 25:48Speaker 1: she said, it wasn't awkward. She said they were all laughing,
- 25:51Speaker 1: it was fun, and Nate gets along with everyone, so
- 25:53Speaker 1: it wasn't awkward or anything like that. Well it, uh,
- 25:56Speaker 1: you know, I just don't When I saw that picture
- 25:58Speaker 1: of them altogether, I was like, I can't be that awkward, right,
- 26:01Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, it's just it's it's Bachelor Nation. We
- 26:04Speaker 1: all run into each other at some point. Uh. Well,
- 26:07Speaker 1: really really cool story here. Abigail and Noah share stunning
- 26:11Speaker 1: new photos that have Bachelor Nation gushing over them. Well,
- 26:15Speaker 1: I thought it was an engagement photo, so I got
- 26:17Speaker 1: a little confused. I think they're just really sweet photos. Right, Yeah,
- 26:22Speaker 1: they're just really cute photos. I definitely was looking at
- 26:24Speaker 1: the caption looking for a ring, but it's just the
- 26:27Speaker 1: two of them on the beach. Very totally, very kissy.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Abigail wrote that Noah is the butter to her toast,
- 26:37Speaker 1: and I feel like they're gonna be engagement in their
- 26:40Speaker 1: future within the next year. What do you think I
- 26:44Speaker 1: would be shocked if there is. They like, absolutely shocked.
- 26:48Speaker 1: They I mean, we had them on the podcast and
- 26:50Speaker 1: they just seem to get it. They seem to be
- 26:52Speaker 1: so in love with each other. It feels like they're
- 26:55Speaker 1: comfortable with each other. I don't know, it's just it's
- 26:58Speaker 1: one of those couples that you're like, yeah, think they're
- 27:00Speaker 1: like perfect for each other. Um, so, yes, they're cute. Well,
- 27:04Speaker 1: speaking of love and being very cute, Bachelor in Paradise
- 27:08Speaker 1: is Joe and Serena gush over New York City move
- 27:12Speaker 1: Going to be fun, they say, so. Um, Serena jes
- 27:20Speaker 1: moved to New York and it seems like they're going
- 27:24Speaker 1: to be living there together. But Joe is going to
- 27:28Speaker 1: keep his place in Chicago too, because he says, I'll
- 27:32Speaker 1: be going back and forth between here in Chicago, but
- 27:34Speaker 1: he's always wanted to live in New York City. So
- 27:38Speaker 1: this is the time they're happy about happy about it.
- 27:40Speaker 1: He says that it will make things easier. Travel has
- 27:44Speaker 1: been kind of part of their lives since the beginning
- 27:46Speaker 1: of their engagement, UM and part of their careers in
- 27:49Speaker 1: their relationship. But they are excited to be in one
- 27:53Speaker 1: place together, and they're just they're excited about the fun
- 27:56Speaker 1: to be had. I you know, tell me if I'm
- 28:01Speaker 1: crazy here, Ashley, but wasn't. One of kindle in Joe's
- 28:04Speaker 1: biggest disagreements is he didn't want to leave Chicago, and
- 28:07Speaker 1: so I think, oh my god. So I feel like
- 28:11Speaker 1: this is like a good sign for their relationship that
- 28:13Speaker 1: he's saying, no leave Chicago for you girl. Oh wow, No,
- 28:18Speaker 1: do you disagree with that? Don on me? No, no, no, no,
- 28:22Speaker 1: I bet you. He feels like there's a little bit
- 28:23Speaker 1: of a difference between l A and New York. I mean,
- 28:26Speaker 1: New York is a lot closer to Chicago than Chicago
- 28:28Speaker 1: is to l A. And it does sound like he's
- 28:31Speaker 1: gonna be bouncing back and forth. I don't think that
- 28:35Speaker 1: he's thinking that New York is going to be his
- 28:36Speaker 1: permanent home with with Kendall l A. She wanted to
- 28:41Speaker 1: be their permanent home forever, like she was never going
- 28:44Speaker 1: to move because that's where her family was. So maybe
- 28:46Speaker 1: this is just like a temporary, fun sort of short stint.
- 28:50Speaker 1: But that being said, I feel like usually, you know,
- 28:57Speaker 1: if it's the person, If the person is the person,
- 29:00Speaker 1: you will go anywhere for them. I totally understand that,
- 29:05Speaker 1: And I think one of the best things to judge
- 29:09Speaker 1: where you're at in relationship is to try to make
- 29:11Speaker 1: a big decision together and uh, and see how both
- 29:14Speaker 1: of you are feeling. Is it? I mean, maybe the
- 29:16Speaker 1: question is is it worth it or not? And obviously
- 29:18Speaker 1: right now he's saying, of course is which is awesome
- 29:23Speaker 1: to hear. Well. A final headline of today, um, Clayton
- 29:29Speaker 1: Eckerd most recent Bachelor and Uh, Susie Evans his girlfriend
- 29:36Speaker 1: are traveling across the country right now. They just stopped
- 29:38Speaker 1: in Denver. I know, I saw some videos of that. Well.
- 29:41Speaker 1: He also brings Susie then to his hometown. Uh. Kind
- 29:46Speaker 1: of off of the start of this road trip, Ashley,
- 29:49Speaker 1: how'd it go? Susie and Clayton are going from his
- 29:53Speaker 1: home States of Arizona and driving all the way to Virginia,
- 29:57Speaker 1: and they're going to be hitting some month you mental
- 30:00Speaker 1: points in all of their lives along the way, including
- 30:04Speaker 1: his home states of Missouri. He's taken her back to
- 30:08Speaker 1: the football field where his career started at his high school,
- 30:12Speaker 1: and the two of them are really going to get
- 30:14Speaker 1: to know each other if they're driving pretty much completely
- 30:18Speaker 1: across country. This is gonna be a great road trip,
- 30:21Speaker 1: uh for them to go on. And you know, I
- 30:23Speaker 1: think one of the biggest piece of advice I got
- 30:26Speaker 1: when I started dating Jessica was going a road trip.
- 30:29Speaker 1: And see how you do. If you make it through
- 30:30Speaker 1: a road trip, you can make it through anything. So
- 30:32Speaker 1: let's see if Clayton and Susie make it through this
- 30:35Speaker 1: road trip. Well. Hey, thanks to Merissa gun for coming
- 30:38Speaker 1: on the podcast today. Thanks to Ashley for sitting down
- 30:43Speaker 1: and walking through all of these headlines with us. Um.
- 30:47Speaker 1: This is uh it for this week, and we're gonna
- 30:51Speaker 1: be back next week with another great episode alomost fame
- 30:53Speaker 1: at podcast. Until then, I've been been, I've been actually bye, guys.
- 30:58Speaker 1: Followed the Ben and Ashley I all more famous podcasts
