- 0:00Hello friends! Welcome back to Wonderfully Made,
- 0:04Bible Stories for Children. I'm so glad you're
- 0:08here. Last time, we heard about Naaman. Naaman
- 0:14was a powerful commander who came to Elisha looking
- 0:17for healing. At first, he did not want to obey.
- 0:21But when he humbled himself and followed God's
- 0:25instruction, God healed him. Naaman returned
- 0:29home thankful for what God had done. But not
- 0:32everyone responded to God's kindness in the same
- 0:36way. Today, we'll hear about a servant named
- 0:40Gehazi, a secret plan, and why honesty matters
- 0:44to God. Are you ready? Let's jump in. Naaman
- 1:03had been healed. He had offered gifts to Elisha
- 1:07as a way of showing thanks. But Elisha would
- 1:10not accept them. The healing had come from God.
- 1:15So Naaman left and began his journey home. Gehazi
- 1:20was Elisha's servant. He had seen everything
- 1:23that had happened. He knew how God had healed
- 1:27Naaman. But Gehazi began thinking about the gifts
- 1:31Naaman had offered. He wanted some of them for
- 1:35himself. So he made a secret plan. Without telling
- 1:40Elisha, he hurried after Naaman. When Naaman
- 1:44saw Gehazi coming, he stopped to meet him. Gehazi
- 1:49told Naaman a story that was not true. He asked
- 1:53for silver and clothing. Naaman gladly gave them
- 1:57to him. Gehazi took the gifts and returned home.
- 2:02Then he hid them away. He hoped no one would
- 2:06know what he had done. Afterward, Gehazi went
- 2:10to Elisha. Elisha asked him where he had been.
- 2:15But Gehazi was not honest. He tried to hide the
- 2:19truth. Yet God had shown Elisha what had happened.
- 2:24Nothing was hidden from God. Elisha knew about
- 2:28the gifts. He knew about the lie. And he knew
- 2:33about the secret plan. Elisha told Gehazi that
- 2:37he had acted wrongly. God had been kind to Naaman.
- 2:41But Gehazi had tried to use that kindness to
- 2:45gain something for himself. Because of his dishonesty,
- 2:50Gehazi faced serious consequences. He got the
- 2:54skin disease Naaman had been healed from. What
- 2:58had begun as a secret desire had led him further
- 3:01and further away from what was right. Let's think
- 3:12about this story together. Why do you think Gehazi
- 3:18wanted the gifts? What happened after Ghazi chose
- 3:25to tell a lie? Can we hide things from God? Why
- 3:36is it important to be honest, even when no one
- 3:40else seems to know? Sometimes wrong choices begin
- 3:47with small thoughts in our hearts. But honesty
- 3:50helps us walk in God's ways. God sees what is
- 3:54hidden, and he wants us to love what is true.
- 4:00Thanks for joining me today. Next time on Wonderfully
- 4:05Made, we'll hear about a borrowed axe. A problem
- 4:09that seemed impossible to fix. And a surprising
- 4:13reminder that God cares about even the small
- 4:16troubles in our lives. Until then, remember,
- 4:20you are wonderfully made. Bye for now.
