- 0:36Speaker 6: Many say it was a perfect film that never needs
- 0:40Speaker 6: a sequel, but the people that made Goodfellas Too Better
- 0:43Speaker 6: Fellas disagree.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Sometimes we don't get what we want, but we do
- 0:50Speaker 2: get what we need, and some would argue that Better
- 0:55Speaker 2: Fellas is a human need.
- 0:58Speaker 7: Let's listen in.

- 1:46Speaker 9: I played zimmer bos Poly.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Wow, it's so lovely to see all of us here
- 1:51Speaker 3: for this press tour. I am. I guess I'll be
- 1:57Speaker 3: the first to speak here and say, Wow, what a film?
- 2:01Speaker 5: Am I right?
- 2:03Speaker 6: Yeah, you're right, it's quite a film. I wanted to
- 2:06Speaker 6: go around to and and you know, we have such
- 2:08Speaker 6: an international cast. I think everyone's curious where everyone's from.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Oh well, lovely. I I am from Ireland, Cork region.
- 2:19Speaker 9: Uh, I am from It's sort of a southeastern, very
- 2:26Speaker 9: rural part of France.
- 2:29Speaker 1: I believe it's called Pally.
- 2:35Speaker 5: Rural Paris.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Yes, it's a.
- 2:37Speaker 9: It's a not a not like the city. It's a
- 2:41Speaker 9: rural Paris.
- 2:42Speaker 5: What's it called Pally?
- 2:47Speaker 10: So?
- 2:48Speaker 5: Yes?
- 2:48Speaker 9: Sure a you a I is?
- 2:57Speaker 1: Yes, so it's you, it's you and it Yes, it's Pali.
- 3:01Speaker 9: I'm loads of people have not heard a population twelve people,
- 3:06Speaker 9: very small.
- 3:07Speaker 4: So I am Francisco, Florentina of Italy. I am from
- 3:15Speaker 4: the Napolis region. My father is from actually Mendocino County.
- 3:27Speaker 5: What part of.
- 3:29Speaker 11: It.
- 3:29Speaker 4: It's no Mendocino County here in northern California. I believe
- 3:34Speaker 4: it's just I never met my father. Oh okay, we
- 3:38Speaker 4: have that in common. Yes, so that is where That's
- 3:41Speaker 4: where I'm from. I speak Italian. This is my as men,
- 3:45Speaker 4: you know, this is my was my first English language film,
- 3:49Speaker 4: and I was very excited to do this, very excited to.
- 3:52Speaker 8: Do Yeah, I'm from New York, New York. Nice, yeah,
- 4:00Speaker 8: not much.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Do it lovely? Absolutely lovely.
- 4:02Speaker 6: And this is a fun trick that I got to
- 4:05Speaker 6: watch from video village. All you guys have such different
- 4:08Speaker 6: voices as characters. I was wondering if you could endow
- 4:11Speaker 6: your character as we know. Good Fella us to takes
- 4:13Speaker 6: place in Boston, and I would love for you guys
- 4:17Speaker 6: sit throw on your Boston accidents for everyone to hear,
- 4:21Speaker 6: if they're I listening right now.
- 4:24Speaker 9: It took a long time to get sort of the
- 4:27Speaker 9: Boston Italian accent down, but it went a little something
- 4:33Speaker 9: like for me, I worked with my vocal culture a
- 4:35Speaker 9: lot because I am in uh, we did not I'm
- 4:39Speaker 9: sure you know, gender bend this role at all. I
- 4:43Speaker 9: am in heavy prosthetics. I am you know, I am
- 4:45Speaker 9: I am male, and so it was very graff. It
- 4:48Speaker 9: was from from the gut, something sort of like, hey,
- 4:53Speaker 9: for everybody doing ben Way back and it. I had
- 5:00Speaker 9: to repeat that over and over and over again before
- 5:03Speaker 9: the beginning of every.
- 5:04Speaker 3: Oh, that was your in, that was your into the character,
- 5:07Speaker 3: that was.
- 5:08Speaker 1: My into the character. It was how's everybody doing Fenway back?
- 5:13Speaker 5: And go?
- 5:14Speaker 1: You know, then you start the scene, start the scene.
- 5:17Speaker 3: That's lovely.
- 5:18Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:18Speaker 3: Well I had a similar process because you know, luckily,
- 5:24Speaker 3: you know, the film has a couple of Irish people,
- 5:26Speaker 3: but unluckily for me, I was not cast as one
- 5:29Speaker 3: of them. I was cast as a as a Bostonian,
- 5:34Speaker 3: as a Bostonian, So my into the to the accent
- 5:41Speaker 3: was a little bit.
- 5:41Speaker 5: More like paynuts, get your pay nuts.
- 5:46Speaker 3: And you know, when I first started.
- 5:48Speaker 9: I should say this film takes place solely in Fenway.
- 5:51Speaker 8: Park, Like, yeah, Ona in the Fenway Park.
- 5:56Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean I can wear I can talk about that.
- 5:58Speaker 6: It's about you, you know, I imagine I was watching a
- 6:02Speaker 6: Red Sox scheme and I thought, what if there's a
- 6:04Speaker 6: bunch of mob guys under this field? And I got
- 6:09Speaker 6: it and next you know, I wrote one hundred and
- 6:12Speaker 6: fifty pages in a day.
- 6:13Speaker 5: We cut that down to seventy five and we shot
- 6:15Speaker 5: the next month.
- 6:17Speaker 4: Well.
- 6:17Speaker 3: I loved the film, really, and I don't want to
- 6:20Speaker 3: take away from the accents, but I loved how you know,
- 6:24Speaker 3: they were really trying to be moral characters.
- 6:27Speaker 5: Yeah, in a way.
- 6:28Speaker 4: That's a beautiful That's beautiful man, it's a beautiful man.
- 6:32Speaker 4: I want to tell I want to tell Frederick Felini, FREDI, I.
- 6:37Speaker 8: Love the way you introduced yourself all the time for
- 6:40Speaker 8: a week. Well, I never get tired of it because
- 6:42Speaker 8: it sounds like fucking music.
- 6:44Speaker 4: It's just something I used to do growing up in
- 6:46Speaker 4: military school. And my father put me in military school
- 6:51Speaker 4: and I was there until I graduated.
- 6:55Speaker 5: He did a lot for someone who.
- 6:58Speaker 4: Yeah, yes, when my father did a lot. No, he
- 7:01Speaker 4: just put me in school and I didn't see him
- 7:03Speaker 4: for a good twelve thirteen years. Okay, but that's another
- 7:07Speaker 4: story for another day. So the accent for me, as
- 7:10Speaker 4: you know, it is my first English speaking movie. I was,
- 7:14Speaker 4: you know, I was like, what the fuck was that?
- 7:17Speaker 4: Oh No, that scared the ship out of the ship
- 7:21Speaker 4: out of me, Like, oh my god. It imagine when
- 7:28Speaker 4: you sleep in military school at four in the morning.
- 7:32Speaker 4: You hear gunshots, gunshots every morning. That's how they wake
- 7:36Speaker 4: you up. That's how they wake you up. Wow, let
- 7:39Speaker 4: me get let me just finished up this bit about
- 7:42Speaker 4: the as uh. So you know, they was get into
- 7:45Speaker 4: the accent. You know, it's Italian. Irish is like, okay, hey, Jimmy,
- 7:51Speaker 4: let me tell you something. I'm going by. That's stylium.
- 7:57Speaker 4: That stydium. I'll go by the style of Fangway Park,
- 8:03Speaker 4: Uh looking for gouchees and that's uh, you know, And
- 8:08Speaker 4: that's that's sort of how I got to get into that.
- 8:12Speaker 4: It took a lot long time and my my cast mates.
- 8:15Speaker 9: I was blown away at how quickly you picked up
- 8:19Speaker 9: the American dialogue and the regional accent of this.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Our director Anna Kendrick was so.
- 8:26Speaker 9: Intent on this was it did such a good job
- 8:31Speaker 9: at really capturing the the authentic name because we are
- 8:34Speaker 9: telling real stories, telling stories. But I would love to
- 8:38Speaker 9: hear everyone's accent.
- 8:39Speaker 1: I'm so sorry.
- 8:42Speaker 5: God. Yeah.
- 8:43Speaker 8: So Fuzz was the uh security guy that runs with
- 8:48Speaker 8: the group you'll see in the movie. Uh Fuzz sounds
- 8:53Speaker 8: a little like this.
- 8:58Speaker 4: By big it up, backup.
- 9:03Speaker 8: Ey because Fuzz got his his Anna and I built
- 9:08Speaker 8: a beautiful backstory for Fuzz that Fuzz got smushed by
- 9:12Speaker 8: a popcorn machine at age five, So his nose and
- 9:16Speaker 8: his mouth are really close together.
- 9:18Speaker 3: It's a bit like a pug. What he took like
- 9:21Speaker 3: a pug? What a pug? Oh?
- 9:23Speaker 7: A pug?
- 9:24Speaker 5: Oh?
- 9:24Speaker 7: I love that that he said a punk?
- 9:26Speaker 6: Good?
- 9:26Speaker 11: Oh?
- 9:27Speaker 3: Never no never, no good good good.
- 9:29Speaker 5: You know that was lovely.
- 9:35Speaker 7: I mean, they're such good characters that you built.
- 9:37Speaker 6: Hey, please, it was an honor to make this movie.
- 9:40Speaker 6: It was really talk about.
- 9:42Speaker 3: Donna Hendrick and you know what she brought. And also
- 9:44Speaker 3: you know the plot. Yeah, let's get into it.
- 9:46Speaker 5: Let's get into the meat and potatoes. Well, we're all here, right,
- 9:50Speaker 5: let's really dive right in good Fellow's Two Better Fellas.
- 9:55Speaker 6: Obviously you know about we called this a bottle of
- 10:00Speaker 6: episode of a movie.
- 10:01Speaker 5: You know, we decided.
- 10:03Speaker 3: Which most movies are Most movies are just bottle episodes
- 10:06Speaker 3: for twos. WHOA.
- 10:09Speaker 7: I never thought about the fact that a movie is
- 10:11Speaker 7: an episode.
- 10:11Speaker 5: Kind of yeah, yeah, whoa.
- 10:13Speaker 6: I'm mostly am a TV writer. I wrote a lot
- 10:16Speaker 6: of reports about different curse words that were being used
- 10:21Speaker 6: on talk shows.
- 10:22Speaker 5: I worked in censorship, so you did.
- 10:28Speaker 1: They did say standards and practices.
- 10:31Speaker 5: Yes, standards are practices.
- 10:32Speaker 6: But I call myself a writer because I wrote papers
- 10:34Speaker 6: and reports about Oh there were you know, uh James
- 10:37Speaker 6: Corden used four D words, three S words, stuff like that.
- 10:41Speaker 5: I mean that stuff was.
- 10:42Speaker 9: May I ask you do you ever say these words
- 10:44Speaker 9: out loud? Because as a filmmaker you must be so
- 10:47Speaker 9: open with your language.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Do you ever do you swear?
- 10:51Speaker 2: No?
- 10:51Speaker 6: I'm a proud member of the No Cussing Club. It
- 10:55Speaker 6: is a really cool club founded by this kid McKay
- 10:57Speaker 6: hatch in two thousand and eight about It's No Cussing
- 11:02Speaker 6: About m McKay hatch is a guy that started this
- 11:06Speaker 6: thing called the No Cussing Club.
- 11:07Speaker 5: And there's a phrase call do you want to hang
- 11:09Speaker 5: with us? Don't cuss?
- 11:10Speaker 6: He wrote a book about all sorts of alternatives you
- 11:12Speaker 6: could use instead of curse words, like you can say, oh, pickle,
- 11:16Speaker 6: you can say stuff like that.
- 11:17Speaker 5: This is a real book. Look up No Cussingclub dot com.
- 11:21Speaker 3: You know, this is actually really interesting because I guess
- 11:24Speaker 3: I didn't put it together. Why there was not a
- 11:27Speaker 3: single cuss word in the whole movie.
- 11:29Speaker 5: No, No, No.
- 11:30Speaker 6: That was my biggest complaint about the First Good Fellas
- 11:33Speaker 6: too much cussing.
- 11:35Speaker 8: I have to disagree with you on that. I love
- 11:38Speaker 8: the cussing. And it was hard for me to work
- 11:39Speaker 8: on this set.
- 11:40Speaker 7: Because flices like this to get out.
- 11:45Speaker 8: And it was hard not to throw in an occasional
- 11:48Speaker 8: f bomb in there. But you you were strict on set.
- 11:50Speaker 8: You you hold the tight chip.
- 11:52Speaker 10: Well.
- 11:52Speaker 6: I went to Catholic school, so you know it brought
- 11:53Speaker 6: the paddle to set, just like the.
- 11:58Speaker 4: Growing up school. There's the connection because there's a lot
- 12:02Speaker 4: of discipline. But I was also, you know it first
- 12:04Speaker 4: Europeans a bunch. I'm from Italy, so Thepeens wescussed a
- 12:09Speaker 4: lot in our daily walking and talkings. So it was
- 12:12Speaker 4: hard for me to not do that. So you know,
- 12:14Speaker 4: I come like, let me tell you sump, Okay, I'm
- 12:17Speaker 4: gonna fucking put my foot up your yes, and then
- 12:22Speaker 4: after that we're going to the gods. What's the fucking peanuts?
- 12:28Speaker 3: Oh major plot point there. I wouldn't give that one away.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Can stop talking about just take you.
- 12:35Speaker 8: Let me just say you are an incredible actor. What
- 12:38Speaker 8: you just did out of nowhere. You just did your
- 12:40Speaker 8: pivotal line as a character and you just fucking blew
- 12:43Speaker 8: me away.
- 12:44Speaker 4: Thank you so much, I see you know it's I wanted. Yeah,
- 12:51Speaker 4: thank you so much.
- 12:54Speaker 5: Yeah, we did get a lot.
- 12:55Speaker 6: I remember you used to come up and used to
- 12:58Speaker 6: act for discipline on set, used to say, can.
- 13:00Speaker 5: I you know you still have a glunt in your eye?
- 13:02Speaker 2: You know.
- 13:02Speaker 5: I was over in Video Village, and god, I love
- 13:06Speaker 5: Video Village by the way.
- 13:07Speaker 9: I love the talking about Video Village every cap, buddy,
- 13:11Speaker 9: You're always talking my.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Ear video village.
- 13:14Speaker 5: You gotta hear what's going on over there? I mean
- 13:16Speaker 5: the producers, what goes on.
- 13:18Speaker 6: I mean, we had all sorts of different funny snacks
- 13:21Speaker 6: and cups, you know, like someone will go.
- 13:23Speaker 4: To cups, funny cups.
- 13:26Speaker 5: I mean sometimes it's one the other, you know, it's sometimes.
- 13:30Speaker 4: It's described it, but it's kiss No, it's French.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Hey, hey, hey, what because.
- 13:40Speaker 9: You have got be right into fifty percent of the
- 13:43Speaker 9: French language.
- 13:44Speaker 5: What no way that.
- 13:46Speaker 4: Is but tillions of yours.
- 13:51Speaker 9: I am a very wealthy woman. I am you know,
- 13:54Speaker 9: very famous, very accomplished. But this is not about me.
- 13:57Speaker 9: This is about good fellows to better fellows. Yeah, and
- 14:00Speaker 9: I would love to hear you know, is summing up babies,
- 14:03Speaker 9: a plot and the genesis of Really, we've been blabbing
- 14:08Speaker 9: on about this.
- 14:09Speaker 1: What is this movie?
- 14:11Speaker 6: Right?
- 14:11Speaker 5: Let me let me just get right into it here.
- 14:13Speaker 6: So Goodfellows one is about Harry Hill, who couldn't be
- 14:17Speaker 6: a fully made man, but he did as much as
- 14:19Speaker 6: he could in the mob otherwise cast some trouble, had,
- 14:22Speaker 6: some foes dealt with him accordingly. So when we were
- 14:26Speaker 6: making Goodfellas too, you know, we were trying to say
- 14:30Speaker 6: what could we take that would we could use, that
- 14:34Speaker 6: would be you know, different, And so I started I.
- 14:37Speaker 5: Named this is This is a story of a guy
- 14:41Speaker 5: named Marvin Mountain. And Marvin Mountain is a.
- 14:45Speaker 12: Gangster and he works in the peanut trade, as we've
- 14:51Speaker 12: talked about a little bit already, and he works down
- 14:56Speaker 12: under Fenway Park where they store all the peanuts.
- 14:59Speaker 6: And there's kind of a peanut extortion ring that of
- 15:01Speaker 6: course we've figured out. And the whole thing takes place
- 15:05Speaker 6: over one hour. Then we shot it in two shots.
- 15:09Speaker 6: You know, we love the tracking shot of Goodfellas, and
- 15:12Speaker 6: we said, let's do that one up.
- 15:14Speaker 3: You know that was Anna's call, wasn't it?
- 15:17Speaker 5: That was Anna? I'd love to talk about how we
- 15:19Speaker 5: got Anna.
- 15:20Speaker 6: So we approached Martin. Martin was so excited, so excited
- 15:25Speaker 6: to do this. He loved the script, he did he
- 15:28Speaker 6: was way into this, and then all of a sudden,
- 15:32Speaker 6: no interest, Silent wouldn't answer my calls.
- 15:36Speaker 3: What do you think happened?
- 15:37Speaker 6: I think that he read the script. If I'm gonna
- 15:40Speaker 6: be honest with you, I think he read this.
- 15:42Speaker 9: Do you think he was very into this, into the script.
- 15:47Speaker 1: He loves the script, He read the script.
- 15:50Speaker 5: Yeah, And I think he read the email. And and
- 15:52Speaker 5: I'm kind of a harsh guy. You guys know me.
- 15:53Speaker 5: I talked about this.
- 15:54Speaker 7: One and stuff, cluss words, you strict.
- 15:57Speaker 6: And in the email I called him little fucking eyebrow boy,
- 16:02Speaker 6: and he cussed.
- 16:04Speaker 5: Oh I cussed.
- 16:07Speaker 9: Do you have to repent now that you have cussed?
- 16:09Speaker 9: I mean, how many years has it been since you
- 16:11Speaker 9: have cused?
- 16:12Speaker 5: Oh my god, I can't believe I just cussed. I
- 16:15Speaker 5: mean even in.
- 16:16Speaker 4: The email, as if you do it, as if you
- 16:20Speaker 4: do it every second of the day.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Really it very well, because.
- 16:28Speaker 6: Look, if McKay hears about this, I am going to
- 16:31Speaker 6: lose my membership.
- 16:32Speaker 7: How does his membership work?
- 16:35Speaker 6: We pay fifty five thousand dollars every two years two years.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Yeah, is it kind of like a situation where whoever
- 16:43Speaker 3: is the last person who didn't cuss wins the pot.
- 16:46Speaker 6: Yeah, it's kind of like a final destination because the
- 16:49Speaker 6: truth of it is that we all know that cussing
- 16:51Speaker 6: comes for us. You can't stop it, you can't control it.
- 16:54Speaker 6: And it's it's it is like going sober. It is like,
- 16:57Speaker 6: you know, I have to go back and I have
- 16:59Speaker 6: to grovel to make can I have to ask him
- 17:00Speaker 6: to be back.
- 17:01Speaker 5: In and he's in I school this one. He's stressed
- 17:04Speaker 5: the movie.
- 17:05Speaker 3: So anyway, these basically it's two shots.
- 17:10Speaker 5: So it's two shots.
- 17:11Speaker 6: Is about the extortion ring of the Peanut Gang under
- 17:16Speaker 6: of course the Finnway Park, and I'm not talking about
- 17:19Speaker 6: the Peanuts game.
- 17:20Speaker 9: Oh no, no, no, no no, that is copyright in it
- 17:23Speaker 9: is another another ip. But I love the tracking shot
- 17:27Speaker 9: where you know, paying amach to that iconic shot in
- 17:31Speaker 9: Goodfellas one where you are meeting every single person in
- 17:35Speaker 9: the restaurant. You meet every single person at Fenway Park
- 17:38Speaker 9: watching the.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Red Sox game. You met every single person in the stands,
- 17:42Speaker 1: every single vendor, every single baseball player was they're playing,
- 17:46Speaker 1: and every single person goes to the camera says, oh, hey,
- 17:49Speaker 1: how's it going, how's it going? How's it going? And
- 17:52Speaker 1: I thought it was just a beautiful addition and a
- 17:55Speaker 1: beautiful homage to the film. And it only took twenty
- 17:58Speaker 1: two minutes. What doould you say?
- 17:59Speaker 11: Yeah, yeah, we were running, we were running, we were running,
- 18:04Speaker 11: and uh, of course Mambo Italiano playing under the entire tracks.
- 18:10Speaker 6: Very respectful, Frederico, you played I think, uh, seventy five
- 18:14Speaker 6: different characters.
- 18:15Speaker 4: I yeah, in.
- 18:17Speaker 5: That shot, you were running back and back and forthy.
- 18:20Speaker 4: I've never done anything like that. It was, it was.
- 18:23Speaker 4: It kind of took me by surprise because it wasn't
- 18:26Speaker 4: in the script that I originally signed up for. I
- 18:30Speaker 4: came on to set and everyone was like, hey, you know,
- 18:32Speaker 4: your radios are ready for what? And then they were like, no,
- 18:36Speaker 4: you know you're doing the scene today. You're going to
- 18:38Speaker 4: do about seventy three different changes. But you know what,
- 18:44Speaker 4: growing up in military school for thirteen years, not seeing
- 18:47Speaker 4: my father, it it made it toughened me up and
- 18:51Speaker 4: gave me the sort of the mental will to be
- 18:53Speaker 4: able to complete whatever task. And you know, bon A
- 18:59Speaker 4: cheta bur.
- 19:02Speaker 8: Almost like march in between you addresses and each of
- 19:06Speaker 8: your stands where you'd have to run through for the shot,
- 19:08Speaker 8: and you would march.
- 19:09Speaker 4: I would march. You know, my Serapis told me when
- 19:11Speaker 4: you have extreme trauma. Uh uh. And my father actually,
- 19:25Speaker 4: as a matter of fact, was the inventor of the cello,
- 19:29Speaker 4: not the cello, but the bona cello, which is an
- 19:31Speaker 4: Italian cello.
- 19:35Speaker 1: So it's like a good cello. Is that what you think.
- 19:38Speaker 4: It's it's it's just a really good quality cello. But
- 19:42Speaker 4: it has sounds, you know when you play.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Placement. That is not your catchphrase. It is an ad,
- 19:49Speaker 1: Yes it is.
- 19:50Speaker 4: It is an ad. It is my catchphrase that later
- 19:55Speaker 4: became an ad. Uh. And if you're watching, hey bonell.
- 20:00Speaker 4: But here's the thing. I kept saying bonata and you
- 20:04Speaker 4: al said and I started saying it, but I thought
- 20:09Speaker 4: you were giving me, you know, march to my brand.
- 20:12Speaker 4: So then I started saying, oh, thanks to giving me
- 20:15Speaker 4: a much, and I brought it up and then you
- 20:16Speaker 4: were like, hey, why are you saying that?
- 20:18Speaker 3: But I'm sorry, we must have been mishearing you this entire.
- 20:25Speaker 4: No, that's said. I got nothing else to say about
- 20:28Speaker 4: regarding the topic at hands, So let's.
- 20:32Speaker 3: Get back to the movie. I would like to take
- 20:36Speaker 3: a second to talk about you know, we've got such different,
- 20:39Speaker 3: award winning phenomenal actors. I feel like I was having
- 20:44Speaker 3: my own experience, but working with a cast like this
- 20:48Speaker 3: was a gift. And I want to talk about the
- 20:51Speaker 3: big finale scene when all of our characters finally meet
- 20:55Speaker 3: up at this big homage to Goodfellas to good Fellas.
- 21:00Speaker 3: The scene is the baseball game is going on, and
- 21:05Speaker 3: we all meet up right under the baseball game.
- 21:08Speaker 7: On set, it was a magical day.
- 21:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, this is why you do it.
- 21:14Speaker 5: You know, this is why, this.
- 21:16Speaker 7: Is why you fucking do it.
- 21:17Speaker 8: Excuse me, but I mean it's It was the energy
- 21:21Speaker 8: of all of us on set and you are just
- 21:24Speaker 8: changing costume and being there for us as many roles
- 21:29Speaker 8: was incredible.
- 21:31Speaker 4: I think for me it would have made it a
- 21:33Speaker 4: little bit easier if I had known about the seventy
- 21:38Speaker 4: three different changes that we were going to do it
- 21:40Speaker 4: one day.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Because they did not tell you.
- 21:43Speaker 4: It was not disclosed. And that's okay because sometimes, hey,
- 21:46Speaker 4: I'm from Rupa, you know, European from Italy. We you know,
- 21:50Speaker 4: sometimes there's the people Fernagle here, fernangle there, and you
- 21:54Speaker 4: know suddenly something pops up. You come in. They're like, oh,
- 21:56Speaker 4: you're gonna work with is Lion today. It's like, Lion,
- 21:59Speaker 4: you must be you must be lying because I'm not gonna.
- 22:03Speaker 9: There is that sense of humor. You would have us
- 22:05Speaker 9: double Dova. I would be double Dova in my trailer.
- 22:09Speaker 9: I would be double Dova.
- 22:12Speaker 6: Let's talk about everyone's favorite scenes. I love talking about
- 22:14Speaker 6: the acting. I mean, I mean favoriteing you were in,
- 22:17Speaker 6: favorite seen you loved other people in.
- 22:19Speaker 3: Well, my favorite scene was the one I was talking
- 22:21Speaker 3: about probably where we all met that one day to
- 22:24Speaker 3: shoot kind of the finale scene, And basically what happens
- 22:27Speaker 3: in the scene is the big mob boss is finally confronted,
- 22:34Speaker 3: kind of taking that. We understand that the main peanut
- 22:38Speaker 3: Man my character, has been working with the Feds to
- 22:40Speaker 3: bust this big mob group, and the Feds come in,
- 22:44Speaker 3: played lovely by Francisco, and the security guard is also
- 22:49Speaker 3: an informant for the mob, so he's double playing, almost
- 22:53Speaker 3: in a homage to Departed but different movie. And I
- 22:57Speaker 3: just loved that moment because really showed it felt like
- 23:02Speaker 3: I was on crazy pillows all of us dipping in
- 23:05Speaker 3: and out of our accents. Chaos, absolute chaos, running around
- 23:09Speaker 3: and we shot legitimately under Fenway Park, which was absolutely amazing.
- 23:15Speaker 3: And it's kind of what you live for as an actor,
- 23:17Speaker 3: of these high intense, octane moments, seeing professionals be professionals.
- 23:22Speaker 5: You know, you know? Yeah?
- 23:24Speaker 3: Did you guys like that moment scene? I loved it.
- 23:27Speaker 3: I thought we acted really well.
- 23:30Speaker 10: I thought it was fine. I don't think it was
- 23:34Speaker 10: my favorite moment in the film, if I'm being quite
- 23:39Speaker 10: honest with you, and I'm a little pissed off right now,
- 23:42Speaker 10: because I think the best moment in this whole thing
- 23:47Speaker 10: is when.
- 23:47Speaker 1: The security guard has a hilarious pratfall with his wife
- 23:51Speaker 1: who comes to visit him at work, and he says, ma,
- 23:54Speaker 1: I'm at work. That's the winner. That's the best part
- 23:58Speaker 1: of the whole film.
- 24:00Speaker 3: We all have an opinion.
- 24:00Speaker 7: I don't think we need to be so pissed about it.
- 24:02Speaker 1: No, this is fucking bullshit. This is fucking bullshit. I
- 24:08Speaker 1: am uncle, this is bullshit. Your prat for comic moment
- 24:12Speaker 1: was the best food you know what. I am done?
- 24:14Speaker 1: I am, I am done. I am getting so angry.
- 24:16Speaker 1: I am so angry. Let's let's just.
- 24:18Speaker 4: Let's just move on, Marian, Maria.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Too many pronunciations.
- 24:27Speaker 9: It's so dizzying, it is making my head hurt.
- 24:35Speaker 4: You. My father would always sing to me when I
- 24:39Speaker 4: got angry when I was a kidd me. No, no,
- 24:47Speaker 4: he I met him. I met him the first day
- 24:52Speaker 4: I was born. And then he would send me voice
- 24:55Speaker 4: notes every day every week when I was in the
- 24:59Speaker 4: Middletary School, and the always like about did about ceremony mono?
- 25:05Speaker 1: So he did send your voice notes. So you are
- 25:07Speaker 1: what seventeen?
- 25:10Speaker 4: No, well, if I can, I'm actually not. I'm actually
- 25:16Speaker 4: forty four. Here's the thing. He would sing into a jar,
- 25:22Speaker 4: seal it, seal it, and come and drop it up,
- 25:25Speaker 4: and for a single split second you can hear it,
- 25:29Speaker 4: but you can never hear it.
- 25:30Speaker 5: So we used to do that, No, Marion, that's what
- 25:32Speaker 5: we used to do.
- 25:33Speaker 1: There is nothing like the nineties. Let me tell you,
- 25:36Speaker 1: nothing like that.
- 25:37Speaker 6: Kind of That's how we used to communicate. I sang
- 25:41Speaker 6: a kiss on my pillow into a jar. I sent
- 25:45Speaker 6: it to Nebraska because people.
- 25:48Speaker 5: Who received it, no, the no one received it. It
- 25:52Speaker 5: broke and shippy.
- 25:54Speaker 4: But maybe they heard it when it brought one undred
- 25:57Speaker 4: because you know, now there's people who are selling their farts,
- 25:59Speaker 4: bottle in their farts and selling them. If you can
- 26:02Speaker 4: bottle a fart, you can bottle a sound.
- 26:04Speaker 5: And passion out of nowhere. Your favorite? Was it the Prapfall?
- 26:16Speaker 7: Oh no, I have to I have to say, it's
- 26:19Speaker 7: Marianne Loves.
- 26:20Speaker 9: You're fucking crazy. That's not the best part of the movie.
- 26:24Speaker 9: I cannot even believe that.
- 26:26Speaker 1: We are oh.
- 26:33Speaker 4: So mad, so.
- 26:36Speaker 9: Sorry, clearly, clearly, I am bringing my work home with
- 26:42Speaker 9: me to my other work.
- 26:43Speaker 12: I am.
- 26:43Speaker 1: I am very angry.
- 26:44Speaker 9: Because of I am on another movie that is it's
- 26:47Speaker 9: just so infuriating to shoot.
- 26:49Speaker 1: I am on the sequel to We Bought a Zoo.
- 26:54Speaker 1: We bought two zoos. No, they bought too zoos. And
- 26:58Speaker 1: it is as a complete.
- 27:00Speaker 5: I heard that takes place under Dodger Stadium.
- 27:02Speaker 1: It is a complete disaster.
- 27:04Speaker 9: And I am done shooting movies that take place on
- 27:08Speaker 9: the baseball stadiums, because you know what.
- 27:11Speaker 1: You could build that, You could build that in like
- 27:14Speaker 1: a sound stage. You do not need that.
- 27:17Speaker 7: It is it is so.
- 27:19Speaker 9: Infuriating, and sometimes I wish I could just produce my
- 27:23Speaker 9: own movie.
- 27:23Speaker 1: But how could I pretty?
- 27:27Speaker 4: You're very famous, highly connected to everybody in you have
- 27:35Speaker 4: every resource available to you, wouldn't asker?
- 27:39Speaker 1: I could not. Possibly, I could not. I would be
- 27:41Speaker 1: way too shy.
- 27:42Speaker 5: I would be about producing a movie.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Oh, I'd be too emballassed.
- 27:46Speaker 9: It would be so embarrassing for me to, you know,
- 27:48Speaker 9: to put yourself out there and go, oh, this is
- 27:50Speaker 9: a script I wrote, and I put my heart into
- 27:52Speaker 9: it and I directed it, and I'm not it's embarrassing.
- 27:55Speaker 9: I will.
- 27:56Speaker 1: I wouldn't know.
- 27:56Speaker 5: But I got a question for you, Marion.
- 28:01Speaker 6: Where in your list of all the movies you've ever done,
- 28:05Speaker 6: ranking favorite movies to these favite movies, good Fellows to
- 28:07Speaker 6: Better Fellas, where does that lay?
- 28:10Speaker 9: I believe I would put it at number ten, ten
- 28:17Speaker 9: being the highest. This is my favorite movie I've ever done.
- 28:22Speaker 4: What I expect that, But I'm happy to hear that
- 28:26Speaker 4: sometimes I am harsh.
- 28:29Speaker 9: I am harsher stones these things that I love the most.
- 28:31Speaker 9: And isn't that true about family? I do see all
- 28:33Speaker 9: of you as family, and you know, family is tough.
- 28:37Speaker 3: You're right to me as like I'm a family member.
- 28:39Speaker 3: It's very strange, very odd to getting those letters from
- 28:42Speaker 3: you saying, oh, my son, my son, even though you
- 28:45Speaker 3: are the mob boss, we were not father son.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Well, you know it is it is acting.
- 28:50Speaker 9: It is I am putting myself in the role of
- 28:54Speaker 9: you know, your boss, and in my mind, you know,
- 28:58Speaker 9: I am a woman playing a man. And so how
- 29:01Speaker 9: do I translate boss? How do I translated the role
- 29:03Speaker 9: of papa? I have to become mama, you know, So
- 29:07Speaker 9: I am your mother. I am your mother.
- 29:09Speaker 1: That's where I would write you Google Gaga.
- 29:11Speaker 5: It's a lot of Google Gaga.
- 29:13Speaker 4: There's a letter that wouldn't the baby said, that's the mother.
- 29:16Speaker 4: That's what I was singing. But I was like, who
- 29:18Speaker 4: am I? I have never won the Oscar? So I
- 29:20Speaker 4: am not posing?
- 29:21Speaker 9: Yes, so I was being the mama doing an impression
- 29:24Speaker 9: of the baby.
- 29:25Speaker 4: Of course.
- 29:25Speaker 9: So when I would write in his voice, I would say,
- 29:27Speaker 9: Google gagay a big baby, and that with me as
- 29:31Speaker 9: the mother doing an impression of your Did you mothers
- 29:34Speaker 9: never do impressions of you?
- 29:37Speaker 6: No?
- 29:37Speaker 4: They did, As you explained. I realized I sounded the
- 29:39Speaker 4: condescending and I didn't mean to at all. Uh no, no, no,
- 29:43Speaker 4: no no.
- 29:44Speaker 1: If it's taken, no, okay.
- 29:46Speaker 5: Vergo you won the Chalian oscar right, what is it called?
- 29:50Speaker 4: It's called and.
- 29:53Speaker 8: Oh the Freichi, Yes, and I love Rhedaichi.
- 29:58Speaker 4: It's a it's and you know it's it's. It was
- 30:02Speaker 4: the honor that I won, the latest one. It was
- 30:06Speaker 4: for the film, of course, entitled Itile. But which is Chile?
- 30:14Speaker 4: It just means it's like it says in Chile with Chile.
- 30:19Speaker 4: And it's about, of course a young immigrant Italian immigrant
- 30:23Speaker 4: boy living in Chile with the chile family and sort
- 30:27Speaker 4: of the trial and relations of being adopted by a
- 30:30Speaker 4: Chilean family.
- 30:32Speaker 3: You know, I've got a question about which I didn't understand.
- 30:37Speaker 3: Why were was a Chilean family adopting a boy from Italy?
- 30:43Speaker 3: What happened there?
- 30:44Speaker 4: So, you know, many people that don't know that in
- 30:46Speaker 4: the nineteen eighties there was a lot of Italians that
- 30:51Speaker 4: went to Chile looking for spices, looking for spices, spices.
- 31:01Speaker 3: A little late.
- 31:05Speaker 4: They were the latest. They were the ancestors of I
- 31:09Speaker 4: know who many people across over do not like anymore.
- 31:12Speaker 4: It's cultive Columbus. They're there and they went out looking
- 31:15Speaker 4: for more spices.
- 31:18Speaker 3: Uh So, just to get this straight, Portuguese sailor Christopher
- 31:23Speaker 3: Columbus Portugal.
- 31:24Speaker 4: Christopher Classes was Italian.
- 31:27Speaker 3: He might have been, he sailed for Portuguese, but he
- 31:29Speaker 3: was Italian.
- 31:30Speaker 6: There's an easy Connor Italian or Irish jerkhoo.
- 31:36Speaker 3: I don't believe in anything but.
- 31:37Speaker 4: Ireland, you know, listen, I don't. I don't look down
- 31:45Speaker 4: on anybody's country or anything like that.
- 31:47Speaker 3: It's so funny because I do.
- 31:49Speaker 4: But no, but I was gonna say, you irishmen, let
- 31:52Speaker 4: me tell you, you drink so much great grease.
- 31:57Speaker 3: We're drinking a lot of reasons, drink a lot of Greece,
- 32:01Speaker 3: and that's what we do.
- 32:02Speaker 6: I heard that stereotype growing up, grease drinkers, Irish grease drinkers.
- 32:07Speaker 5: And I never I never, had never ever.
- 32:11Speaker 6: Had seen it before. And I remember walking up to
- 32:15Speaker 6: crafty and or catering. I'll got up to our set
- 32:19Speaker 6: lunches seeing a vat of grease and saying, hey, you
- 32:22Speaker 6: didn't throw out the Greeks with the fried chicken, and
- 32:23Speaker 6: said no, this is for Connor.
- 32:25Speaker 3: Yeah, that's why I actually didn't love Video Village, because
- 32:29Speaker 3: you had to hold your snacks but no grease, and
- 32:31Speaker 3: for me that felt wrong.
- 32:33Speaker 6: We had a sign up to that said no, Greece.
- 32:35Speaker 6: We had a lot of chokes over there in video
- 32:37Speaker 6: village because we knew. I wish you guys could have
- 32:40Speaker 6: seen it.
- 32:41Speaker 7: I mean it was built for a year, we really lived.
- 32:45Speaker 4: There, and I missed. I believe I missed out on
- 32:49Speaker 4: some of the times when the cast and crew and
- 32:51Speaker 4: you all were sort of at the video area and stuff.
- 32:54Speaker 4: I was, of course in the hills, administrating tattoos on
- 32:59Speaker 4: myself in between takes as as I do to sort
- 33:04Speaker 4: of stay into the character. Remind me i'm doing. I
- 33:07Speaker 4: just write the name of the character into my body.
- 33:10Speaker 1: And no one was helping you, it seems. Did you
- 33:13Speaker 1: not have a costume or anyone on.
- 33:16Speaker 4: This No, it's something that I like to do alone
- 33:20Speaker 4: and it helps me to get into the character. Get dressed,
- 33:25Speaker 4: get dressed. It helps me get dressed.
- 33:27Speaker 5: I tell you, I'll tell you who. It didn't help.
- 33:29Speaker 6: It did not help the script supervisor who was checking
- 33:32Speaker 6: continuity because to have new tattooes popping up, you know,
- 33:36Speaker 6: in this scene that was supposed to be taking place
- 33:38Speaker 6: over an hour that.
- 33:39Speaker 7: Well, then Jenna was over work.
- 33:42Speaker 5: Jany tu bit you and Jenna have a thing. For
- 33:46Speaker 5: nine months, I was.
- 33:49Speaker 1: Calling her Jenna two bits, because we knew you all
- 33:54Speaker 1: walk off.
- 33:54Speaker 8: You guys, go out of here, go out, go.
- 34:00Speaker 7: Out of here.
- 34:01Speaker 8: Oh god, I mean, Jenna was overworked in every way possible.
- 34:05Speaker 5: Let me tell you that, are you guys seeing each other?
- 34:08Speaker 3: What are you still seeing each other?
- 34:10Speaker 12: No?
- 34:10Speaker 4: I am surprised because, as my character would say from
- 34:13Speaker 4: the film, man, you guys were fucking and sucking right
- 34:17Speaker 4: by the godden Oh fuck, Hold.
- 34:19Speaker 5: On a minute, those went the lines I wrote.
- 34:21Speaker 6: Do the lines I wrote, Man, you guys were smooching
- 34:25Speaker 6: and coaching at the at the fucking got.
- 34:28Speaker 11: No, No, it's the second part.
- 34:32Speaker 4: Hey, you guys were smooching and smooching some mo at
- 34:35Speaker 4: the god.
- 34:37Speaker 7: Hey, God, for the viewers at home, that happened on set.
- 34:40Speaker 8: Every day we'd have to go back and extract all
- 34:44Speaker 8: the fucking curse words.
- 34:45Speaker 9: Excuse me, and I would always have us do one
- 34:48Speaker 9: take exactly as the script, and then she would sort
- 34:52Speaker 9: of send Scott to the room and say, okay, now
- 34:54Speaker 9: say it normal, Now say it how it would be said,
- 34:57Speaker 9: and then we would do one of those just for fun.
- 35:00Speaker 5: That's funny.
- 35:02Speaker 1: Well, maybe you guys were laughing too loud at video village.
- 35:05Speaker 1: You didn't see it.
- 35:06Speaker 4: She's a good Oh that.
- 35:07Speaker 5: Was That's why I got so many cakes over there.
- 35:11Speaker 6: I always remember we were being in the middle of
- 35:12Speaker 6: the shooting, shooting a scene and they say, there's another
- 35:15Speaker 6: cake in video village.
- 35:16Speaker 5: I I gotta go see what this one is.
- 35:19Speaker 3: Oh my god, did they not have cameras on on
- 35:22Speaker 3: on what they are shooting on video village like monitors?
- 35:26Speaker 5: Or of course of course we had the video. I
- 35:28Speaker 5: mean that's what video you.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Watched them Winnsday.
- 35:30Speaker 4: Is a cake keeps the room exactly.
- 35:34Speaker 5: I mean there's a lot.
- 35:35Speaker 6: I mean amongst a lot of amazing stimulating things.
- 35:39Speaker 5: There were, of course the monitors.
- 35:41Speaker 9: But I heard there were big disco lights and sort
- 35:44Speaker 9: of search puzzles and different things that keep sometimes toddlers
- 35:49Speaker 9: occupied y search puzzles.
- 35:51Speaker 5: There was those things.
- 35:52Speaker 6: Have you ever seen those awesome contraptions where there's different
- 35:56Speaker 6: shaped blocks and then there's a big square and the
- 36:01Speaker 6: square has holes in the square that are shaped like
- 36:05Speaker 6: the blocks, and you have to figure out witch blocks
- 36:10Speaker 6: go into which squares.
- 36:13Speaker 5: And I'm seeing squares a general term.
- 36:15Speaker 6: There's circles, there's hearts, there's stars, oh sort and that
- 36:18Speaker 6: would take me weeks.
- 36:21Speaker 1: Now you think something so fun awesome?
- 36:24Speaker 8: Do you think video Village was so popular because you
- 36:27Speaker 8: guys would roll on the take for so long and
- 36:30Speaker 8: you guys wouldn't have to call cut anything, like we'd
- 36:32Speaker 8: be doing these long scenes really because there's one shot.
- 36:36Speaker 5: Was that happening for you guys? Yeah, you guys were
- 36:38Speaker 5: Did you feel like there was two shots?
- 36:40Speaker 3: There's two shots a movie. I think the first shot
- 36:43Speaker 3: was an hour and fifteen minutes.
- 36:44Speaker 4: Yeah, Lee, I mean there was this became inside joke
- 36:48Speaker 4: where we say, you know, I'd sort of leave set
- 36:51Speaker 4: and go to my house for a bit and then
- 36:56Speaker 4: come back to the to the security guard, but not
- 36:59Speaker 4: we high five, and then I'd say, well, what's going on?
- 37:01Speaker 4: Is all? You know? They still haven't cut.
- 37:05Speaker 7: And an hour and a half long shot.
- 37:07Speaker 4: Right, I mean it was, but you know, so it
- 37:10Speaker 4: was again, I just never if I had just been
- 37:14Speaker 4: told that we were gonna do seventy changes in one day.
- 37:18Speaker 4: It's just because I tore my a cl twice. One
- 37:23Speaker 4: time it fell off.
- 37:24Speaker 8: Oh god, and I saw that and I barked all
- 37:26Speaker 8: over the fucking place.
- 37:27Speaker 4: Over the place, including me. But do you know what
- 37:30Speaker 4: at that time.
- 37:31Speaker 7: I boxed in your mouth, I was like this, my
- 37:35Speaker 7: I was.
- 37:36Speaker 4: Like one of the chances of my aco popping out,
- 37:40Speaker 4: and then this her throw going directly into my mouth,
- 37:44Speaker 4: not a not a drop spilled anywhere else my mouth.
- 37:48Speaker 8: We stopped for a second, we were waiting for someone
- 37:50Speaker 8: to come out, and we went, oh God, video Hillas and.
- 37:53Speaker 4: We've already went next to each other, like at least
- 37:55Speaker 4: twenty feet away from each other, all of you.
- 37:57Speaker 7: I had projected out vomit, and I think it was
- 37:59Speaker 7: right when you went.
- 38:00Speaker 6: I went.
- 38:02Speaker 4: But you know, in the end of the day, again,
- 38:07Speaker 4: when I was in in military school that my father
- 38:12Speaker 4: left me where the place he would send the notes
- 38:14Speaker 4: that would go hello every night, I learned that you
- 38:21Speaker 4: pick up the pieces. You you, you pull your socks up,
- 38:24Speaker 4: and you keep on going.
- 38:25Speaker 10: No.
- 38:26Speaker 9: Now, I would love to know how you made the
- 38:29Speaker 9: jump from military school to I would assume you did
- 38:34Speaker 9: many films in Italy. No, yes, yes, how did you
- 38:36Speaker 9: get out of the military into acting?
- 38:39Speaker 4: Thank you for the question. First of all, bonnet chada,
- 38:42Speaker 4: bonnet shara to everybody here with you, yes and of
- 38:47Speaker 4: course with you, bonnechera be with you, bonachierta be with us.
- 38:53Speaker 4: But so what happened was you know, in Italy is
- 38:56Speaker 4: not like here in the estates, you know, where anybody
- 38:58Speaker 4: can start acting. In Italy, you cannot start acting until
- 39:03Speaker 4: you are atly sixteen. You don't have any child actors. Yes,
- 39:06Speaker 4: we only have adults playing children in the movie.
- 39:09Speaker 1: That sounds like paradise, you know.
- 39:12Speaker 6: I was wondering that because there's that incredible, incredible or
- 39:15Speaker 6: viertual Benini film Wife Is Beautiful, which is about a
- 39:18Speaker 6: child in a concentration camp, and I watched it again
- 39:22Speaker 6: recently made the HD version.
- 39:24Speaker 5: Kid is a Full Beard. Yes, that's a forty fifth
- 39:27Speaker 5: year old man.
- 39:27Speaker 4: Yes, absolutely, that is one of our most famous child
- 39:31Speaker 4: adult actors. I believe mister Baraccini his first name is
- 39:39Speaker 4: his first name is Michael Angelo Baraccini, and I believe
- 39:42Speaker 4: he's about eighty four years old when he did that film. Wow,
- 39:45Speaker 4: he's also the oldest man in the world. It's about
- 39:50Speaker 4: twenty five in the world. It's about twenty five.
- 39:54Speaker 5: He's still alive, past.
- 39:57Speaker 4: Past his death hour, as they say in Italy.
- 40:00Speaker 5: Anyway, So is that a year?
- 40:05Speaker 3: Do you have a year that you go to and
- 40:07Speaker 3: then once you end that year, he start going past it.
- 40:11Speaker 4: Exactly. In Italy we have a year where like where
- 40:13Speaker 4: there's a year at some point where everybody agrees that
- 40:17Speaker 4: this person should be dead.
- 40:19Speaker 5: Wow.
- 40:20Speaker 4: So then when you go past so like I've heard.
- 40:22Speaker 1: This, there is a counsel.
- 40:24Speaker 4: Everybody votes yes, doctors, doctors, lawyers, philosophers, children of the kids,
- 40:34Speaker 4: children of the corn, the cast.
- 40:36Speaker 5: That must mean something different in Italy because in America
- 40:39Speaker 5: that's kind of a horror film.
- 40:40Speaker 4: Yes, no, no, In Italy it is literally a group
- 40:42Speaker 4: of children who raise corn in the mountains of Cloni
- 40:46Speaker 4: and uh, basically they they created such a huge industry
- 40:51Speaker 4: for themselves that they actually have a very dominant presence
- 40:56Speaker 4: in a lot of different aspects of Italian culture. A
- 40:59Speaker 4: lot of Italians, by doesn't get very very offended. But
- 41:04Speaker 4: that's the only I've known, you know, That's what I do.
- 41:07Speaker 1: Haven't Italian?
- 41:08Speaker 9: The brother in law he used to say this phrase,
- 41:11Speaker 9: the money follows the corn is essentially the political stronghold
- 41:17Speaker 9: the bitterly.
- 41:19Speaker 6: Hey, how did you guys like working with all those
- 41:22Speaker 6: original good Fellows actors that came back?
- 41:25Speaker 8: Oh my god, I think we had to elating Lorraine Brocco.
- 41:32Speaker 1: Incredible incredible.
- 41:34Speaker 3: The picture, the baseball picture.
- 41:38Speaker 7: We never saw the stadium, but she came.
- 41:40Speaker 5: Down covered in sweat after killing the game, crushing.
- 41:44Speaker 3: The game, and then Rayleota playing the quite quite offensive
- 41:50Speaker 3: version of a woman.
- 41:52Speaker 4: Yeah, I thought that was very you know, yes, that
- 41:58Speaker 4: was the part I did not like. But why didn't
- 42:01Speaker 4: you like it too? Because it was just very clear
- 42:07Speaker 4: that it was rarelyoda and he was he had he did.
- 42:11Speaker 1: Not shave, which I saw too much.
- 42:15Speaker 4: How much it's just and it just felt, it felt
- 42:17Speaker 4: not saying.
- 42:18Speaker 3: Like all this girl stuff, you know, like I'm a
- 42:20Speaker 3: little girl, I'm a girl, and I just I didn't
- 42:23Speaker 3: really get the choices behind it.
- 42:24Speaker 9: I don't believe that was in the script at all.
- 42:27Speaker 9: I think I think that was his way in you know.
- 42:32Speaker 5: Your mother?
- 42:33Speaker 4: Okay, my god?
- 42:34Speaker 8: So is that why they did they did? The beard
- 42:38Speaker 8: was in the script.
- 42:41Speaker 5: I had, there was I honestly, that was something I missed.
- 42:43Speaker 6: It was it was in video village and I missed.
- 42:48Speaker 8: The beard you wore that you guys tight shirts back there.
- 42:57Speaker 5: I think it was.
- 43:00Speaker 7: No exhilarating the way tied eye while you.
- 43:02Speaker 6: Know, premise wise, what if you came in a different
- 43:08Speaker 6: type shirt that you left it.
- 43:10Speaker 5: It was really thrilling.
- 43:13Speaker 3: I think the most interesting thing for me about having
- 43:16Speaker 3: cameos in a film that was just two shots was
- 43:19Speaker 3: they were sitting around for a long time. We needed
- 43:22Speaker 3: them every single moment, every shot, you know, because we're
- 43:25Speaker 3: shooting two shots an hour and a half movie. The
- 43:28Speaker 3: first shot is about an hour and fifteen. All the
- 43:31Speaker 3: cameos are happening there, so you need the actors every day,
- 43:34Speaker 3: you know.
- 43:35Speaker 5: It's not a cameo with Union.
- 43:36Speaker 6: Wise, they were budgeted for leads even though they had
- 43:39Speaker 6: they think they were leads. No, no, no, no, no,
- 43:42Speaker 6: they knew they knew they weren't, but they were getting
- 43:46Speaker 6: paid otherwise. They said, look, you can pay me for
- 43:48Speaker 6: it was really fun to watch Lorraine and Ray back
- 43:52Speaker 6: on set again.
- 43:53Speaker 5: For the first time.
- 43:54Speaker 7: And did you work with them or no?
- 43:56Speaker 5: I just we had no back in the day.
- 43:59Speaker 1: Did you work on the first one?
- 44:01Speaker 11: Oh?
- 44:01Speaker 5: Yeah, I was on the first one. You doing on
- 44:03Speaker 5: the first one?
- 44:04Speaker 8: Because it does say from the from the creators, right,
- 44:07Speaker 8: there's some ad I saw that from the people, the people.
- 44:10Speaker 3: From a person, from a person who brought you.
- 44:14Speaker 8: I think it is from a person who was there
- 44:15Speaker 8: during Goodfellows in the room when Goodfellows was made.
- 44:19Speaker 6: Brings you yeah, well, yeah, yeah, it was a person
- 44:22Speaker 6: who's in the room when Goodfellows was made. I worked
- 44:24Speaker 6: at the place that made the VHS tapes of Goodfellas. Okay,
- 44:29Speaker 6: I worked in the room where Goodfellas was made on
- 44:31Speaker 6: the VHS.
- 44:32Speaker 9: Okay, technicality, but I see, I see, I see wow.
- 44:39Speaker 3: I would like to now bring up just a little
- 44:41Speaker 3: thing that we probably have to cover because this is
- 44:43Speaker 3: a press junket. You know, the original creator of Goodfellas
- 44:47Speaker 3: has come out after saying you know what he said
- 44:50Speaker 3: to your email, Martin, Martin really Rent went on record
- 44:55Speaker 3: just ripping this film apart and saying he had not
- 44:58Speaker 3: wanted nothing to do with it, hold no precedent on
- 45:01Speaker 3: the original, it has nothing to do with the original.
- 45:04Speaker 3: He didn't understand why, and I felt like it would
- 45:07Speaker 3: be an appropriate thing for us to bring it up,
- 45:10Speaker 3: you know, talk it out cloud.
- 45:14Speaker 5: So yeah, yeah, what do you want to say about it?
- 45:19Speaker 3: Well, I would just like to say that Martin, I
- 45:23Speaker 3: love you, I feel you, but you missed this one
- 45:28Speaker 3: because this film brought people together.
- 45:32Speaker 10: It did.
- 45:33Speaker 12: It did.
- 45:35Speaker 8: My mother was on a dying deathbed and I looked
- 45:37Speaker 8: at her in the eye because I was in acting
- 45:38Speaker 8: school at the time.
- 45:39Speaker 7: I was a Juilliard and I looked at.
- 45:41Speaker 8: Her and I said, Mommy, I'm gonna I'm gonna fulfill
- 45:44Speaker 8: your dream because she was an actor, and she said,
- 45:46Speaker 8: I want you to do a movie with morn score
- 45:48Speaker 8: Sasy with Marty, and I said, mom I'm gonna do
- 45:51Speaker 8: your dream.
- 45:52Speaker 7: And that's why I said yes to this movie.
- 45:53Speaker 8: My my reps came to me, brought me the script,
- 45:56Speaker 8: and obviously I thought he was attached, and I think
- 45:59Speaker 8: that was the time he was vocally attached.
- 46:01Speaker 1: I also very much thirty weeks attached.
- 46:04Speaker 4: I must say when I signed on to the project,
- 46:06Speaker 4: I was doing it because I wanted to work with Marty,
- 46:10Speaker 4: of course, because I had to be like then, my
- 46:13Speaker 4: agent's like, actually, it's going to be An A Kendrick.
- 46:15Speaker 8: I was like, what, Like that's you probably was so
- 46:20Speaker 8: stunned and you didn't hear that you.
- 46:23Speaker 7: Had to play seventy three Garricks.
- 46:25Speaker 8: You were probably so in shocked that it's actually Anna
- 46:28Speaker 8: Kendrick instead of Marti.
- 46:31Speaker 4: But because I got so shocked, I fell off the boat.
- 46:36Speaker 1: I was, and then I had wi fi on the boat.
- 46:40Speaker 4: I did I did have. It was on a yacht.
- 46:42Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 46:44Speaker 4: Wait, you know it's we had full top of the
- 46:49Speaker 4: line spectrum Time Warner Cable top.
- 46:52Speaker 5: Of the line spectrum.
- 46:53Speaker 1: That's really good.
- 46:56Speaker 4: The number one Wi Fi I believe spectrum, the number one, Yes,
- 47:00Speaker 4: thirty two miles off the shore. Of course, you know
- 47:08Speaker 4: about a set up.
- 47:10Speaker 9: I do want to bring up goodbyes that cello. I
- 47:12Speaker 9: gotta something said. There's a little bug in my brain
- 47:16Speaker 9: telling me you gotta get a cello.
- 47:21Speaker 6: I gotta say. Anna Kendrick, I would say, is a
- 47:23Speaker 6: better director than Martin Scortes. I'm gonna go on record
- 47:26Speaker 6: for saying that.
- 47:27Speaker 7: Lord, Oh my mother just foughted in her grave.
- 47:34Speaker 1: She foughts which she is displeased.
- 47:36Speaker 7: Oh my mother voughts when she's pissed. Oh my God,
- 47:39Speaker 7: tell me why you think that.
- 47:41Speaker 6: I just thought that she was really, really, really fun.
- 47:46Speaker 6: And she taught me the cup song dance. And I
- 47:50Speaker 6: went home and I taught my stepdaughter. And I can't
- 47:52Speaker 6: imagine Martin Cortes teaching me the cup song dance.
- 47:56Speaker 9: No, there are certain things that some people are better
- 47:59Speaker 9: add some things that other people are better at. I
- 48:02Speaker 9: thought Anna Kendrick was I thought she was amazing at this.
- 48:05Speaker 9: I thought that she really brought what isn't very clearly authentic,
- 48:12Speaker 9: authentic Italian gangster movie to Fenway Park, which is the
- 48:18Speaker 9: natural next step because what happens to Henry Hill after
- 48:22Speaker 9: he goes into witness protection is the story must continue. Logically,
- 48:28Speaker 9: all roads lead to Boston.
- 48:32Speaker 1: That's what I've always said. That's what I've always heard
- 48:34Speaker 1: as a little girl in France.
- 48:36Speaker 9: All roads lead to Boston, something I said every day
- 48:41Speaker 9: when I woke up and finally gorgeous.
- 48:43Speaker 5: As gorgeous everyone down said that.
- 48:47Speaker 9: Everyone in the town said someday that was like a Moscow,
- 48:50Speaker 9: you know, someday we will all get to Boston.
- 48:54Speaker 8: That's all similar, Juliard, we said similar things. We would
- 48:57Speaker 8: drain and there we would learn things, and then they'd say,
- 49:01Speaker 8: you could take this with you if you work in Boston.
- 49:04Speaker 1: Yes, yes, it's that.
- 49:05Speaker 9: So it's the big time. That was the dream, and
- 49:08Speaker 9: I'm so glad that we are finally here.
- 49:11Speaker 4: Yeah. Again, I was at first very surprised when it
- 49:14Speaker 4: was okay, But she helped me get to a place
- 49:20Speaker 4: with the character, because again this was my first American film.
- 49:24Speaker 4: First the English speaking about about jail. No no no
- 49:29Speaker 4: no no no no no no no nobean no. It
- 49:38Speaker 4: was the famous sealo song from Pirates of the Caribbean. Uh,
- 49:42Speaker 4: Pirates go Home? What was I saying? What was I saying?
- 49:47Speaker 1: This was your first American English speech.
- 49:50Speaker 4: She really helped me get there in the scene. Of course,
- 49:53Speaker 4: not to give it too much away, but when I
- 49:55Speaker 4: was in the scene, that part at the end when
- 49:57Speaker 4: I get when my character breaks down onto the floor
- 50:00Speaker 4: or uh and I start screaming into the heavens. And
- 50:04Speaker 4: then at the part I was like, Okay, cat, come on,
- 50:10Speaker 4: I'm sorry.
- 50:13Speaker 1: Okay, if you can do a lead in, if you need.
- 50:19Speaker 4: Um, I can't do it. I can't do hold.
- 50:22Speaker 7: Mm hmmm, no, you said pirate and.
- 50:31Speaker 1: Take Okay, shoo shoe Pirates get out of here.
- 50:34Speaker 4: Okay, I guess, I guess the snake is out of
- 50:37Speaker 4: the bag. But I have actually just been chosen by
- 50:41Speaker 4: Warner Brothers to be to headline the new Pirates of
- 50:44Speaker 4: the Caribbean.
- 50:46Speaker 7: Headliner, headlining the Pirate.
- 50:50Speaker 4: I'm headlining. I'm going to be doing my stand up
- 50:53Speaker 4: act before before the film.
- 50:57Speaker 5: Amazing.
- 50:58Speaker 9: It's like Nicole Kidman a mc AD but if you're
- 51:02Speaker 9: doing stand up.
- 51:03Speaker 4: You're a tight seven on the headline.
- 51:08Speaker 7: Sounds like you're the opening act.
- 51:10Speaker 4: Rates Well, no, no, I'm the headliner in terms of
- 51:15Speaker 4: I'm the headlining comic of the evening.
- 51:19Speaker 9: But everybody stand ups are showing up Pirates.
- 51:24Speaker 7: But you're the main comic.
- 51:25Speaker 4: Yes, I get I do the tight seven seven and
- 51:27Speaker 4: a half. Everyone else is doing about a tight about
- 51:31Speaker 4: two and a half, So set up punchlines.
- 51:35Speaker 1: That's my time, next.
- 51:36Speaker 4: Guy, Yes, until I come, and then I hit them
- 51:38Speaker 4: with the very tight.
- 51:39Speaker 7: Seven and then you all hear Pirates right, and I.
- 51:43Speaker 4: Go, oh, here wants to see Pirates? And then the
- 51:49Speaker 4: movie the movie at all. No, this is all filmed.
- 51:52Speaker 4: This is all film. The audience will watch a film
- 51:57Speaker 4: of me doing a tight seven in front of the audience.
- 52:00Speaker 8: So we'll sit down, watch the trailers, watch the studios.
- 52:04Speaker 8: It will go down, the lights will go down, and
- 52:06Speaker 8: you'll come out or the others and then you.
- 52:08Speaker 4: No, I'll never come out because it's just a video.
- 52:12Speaker 9: A tight sevens slider Or are they on the video too?
- 52:16Speaker 3: Is it?
- 52:16Speaker 1: Who are the other your openers? Are your opening comics?
- 52:19Speaker 1: Are they live? Or are they on?
- 52:21Speaker 3: The question is did you film a whole comedy set?
- 52:25Speaker 4: Okay, let me tell you so the other people, every
- 52:29Speaker 4: anybody doing less than seven tight seven is live and me,
- 52:34Speaker 4: I'm out take the like if you want. I was like,
- 52:36Speaker 4: can I do more than Can I do a seven
- 52:38Speaker 4: tight seven? If you want to do that, it's got
- 52:41Speaker 4: to be filmed. It has to be pre filmed, not
- 52:43Speaker 4: in a pre film. It has to be pre pre
- 52:45Speaker 4: filmed under just the worst con.
- 52:50Speaker 1: So no audience, no of it.
- 52:54Speaker 4: Nothing. The microphone I'm allowed to use. It sounds like
- 52:57Speaker 4: it has popcorn inside of it. I can't use real lighting.
- 53:03Speaker 3: Are you doing it more than once? It sounds like
- 53:06Speaker 3: you're recording it more than once? Or is it just
- 53:08Speaker 3: one recording of it?
- 53:10Speaker 4: I do? I do one before every every show, had
- 53:15Speaker 4: to keep it fresh ins.
- 53:17Speaker 5: And you're a stand up comedian?
- 53:23Speaker 1: Question a stand up comedian?
- 53:27Speaker 4: No, I've never done stand up before. So this was
- 53:30Speaker 4: a situation that again it was kind of like I'm
- 53:33Speaker 4: starting to think maybe I don't properly read the fine
- 53:35Speaker 4: print because I went there thinking I'm playing a stand
- 53:39Speaker 4: up comedian in the new.
- 53:41Speaker 7: Movie, the New Headlining Pirates.
- 53:44Speaker 4: Well, No, I thought I was in the movie and
- 53:46Speaker 4: I found out. No no, no, I'm headlining as a comedian. No no, no,
- 53:51Speaker 4: I'm going to pre tape a headlining stand up show
- 53:56Speaker 4: before a film.
- 53:58Speaker 7: I don't think you people working for you. I don't
- 54:01Speaker 7: know what kind of reps you got, but they're not
- 54:03Speaker 7: reading the role.
- 54:04Speaker 9: It seems like such a confusing strategy to me. I
- 54:07Speaker 9: am not in some representation yet, but I don't tell
- 54:09Speaker 9: you to see how this benefits you, I don't see
- 54:12Speaker 9: how this benefits pilots of it.
- 54:14Speaker 6: I gotta say Disney never should have sold this to
- 54:16Speaker 6: Warner Brothers. Never sort of showld the disorder by others,
- 54:20Speaker 6: because that's what happens. They get their grubby hands on
- 54:22Speaker 6: it wherever has tried to get us. And that's why
- 54:24Speaker 6: we remained completely independent, because they were gonna try to.
- 54:27Speaker 6: They were like, we should make it more relevant to
- 54:30Speaker 6: you know, let's take it outside of Fenway. Let's like
- 54:33Speaker 6: span some time period, let's talk about some relevant themes.
- 54:36Speaker 6: This just sounds like a low budget version of the town,
- 54:39Speaker 6: which is you know.
- 54:40Speaker 5: And and that was like, well, we're not gonna go
- 54:42Speaker 5: with you.
- 54:43Speaker 6: We're not gonna go with you, like and that's why
- 54:44Speaker 6: we went So we didn't go with anybody.
