Mount Rainier National Park is on high alert as the Plummer Peak Fire forces major closures—shutting down Pinnacle Peak Trail, a whole ridge from Lane Peak to Foss Peak, and extending the Northern Loop Trail closure to Lake James and beyond. Key roads like Sunrise Road and White River Road are also blocked, and with a park-wide fire ban in place since June 26th, no campfires or open flames are allowed anywhere.
