- 1:27Speaker 1: with me today to talk about the surreal life Villa
- 1:30Speaker 1: of Secrets with that parenthetical very funny. Deanna Chang and
- 1:35Speaker 1: Angela Quintana. Welcome, ladies.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Thank you for.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Oh welcome. Let's get we're a little pitchy. We're a
- 1:45Speaker 1: little pitchy, you guys. I uh wow, what I feel like?
- 1:51Speaker 1: I'm definitely I'm like compartmentalizing my vacations. They like they're
- 1:56Speaker 1: coming in little chunk. So over the weekend, I was
- 1:58Speaker 1: in Jackson Hole yesterday after recording the podcast very early,
- 2:05Speaker 1: hopped over to the beach with the family, spent the
- 2:07Speaker 1: whole day there. Ventura, Ventura, Oh.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Nice, that was a yeah.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Oh is it a little bit closer to you?
- 2:15Speaker 1: Oh yeah. So what it is is like it's an
- 2:17Speaker 1: hour drive, but it's a lovely drive. You're gonna go
- 2:20Speaker 1: through Fillmore, You're gonna go down that like one twenty six,
- 2:23Speaker 1: the the Korean Vet the Korean Memorial Highway, and you're
- 2:28Speaker 1: gonna yeah, and you're gonna just have a great drive.
- 2:31Speaker 1: You're gonna pass all the farms, you know, all the
- 2:33Speaker 1: fruit stands, and it's just a beautiful, beautiful, as Martha
- 2:37Speaker 1: Stewart would say, beautiful drive seeing the pastures and the many,
- 2:42Speaker 1: many beautiful cows. And then we go to Harbor Cove,
- 2:48Speaker 1: which is nicknamed Mother's Beach because it's like an entirely
- 2:55Speaker 1: as said, a cove, so there are really no waves,
- 2:59Speaker 1: so people bring their kids there so that waves don't
- 3:02Speaker 1: knock them down on their little tishes. Yeah, so it's
- 3:05Speaker 1: just lovely. We brought our little setup. We we got
- 3:08Speaker 1: a coupon, got some subways.
- 3:11Speaker 2: See I'm all about living.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Also, I was looking on Facebook marketplace for a wagon,
- 3:20Speaker 1: but like not in time, like a beach wagon. So
- 3:25Speaker 1: I didn't get one in time, but I borrowed one
- 3:27Speaker 1: from the neighbor. And let me tell you, game changer.
- 3:32Speaker 2: I'm sure. I'm sure.
- 3:35Speaker 4: Yeah, the beach is really about having the stuff.
- 3:40Speaker 1: I mean exactly right.
- 3:42Speaker 2: The umbrella.
- 3:43Speaker 1: We got the umbrella, we got the bags, we got
- 3:46Speaker 1: the snacks, we have the towels.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Is Maddie a big does is she a beach baby?
- 3:52Speaker 3: Does she like it?
- 3:52Speaker 1: Well, we don't go to the like, we don't go
- 3:54Speaker 1: very often, so but she is like, I want to go.
- 3:57Speaker 1: I want to go obviously, and she was like, I
- 4:00Speaker 1: want to bring my mermaid tail. She yeah, so she's
- 4:05Speaker 1: got this mermaid tail that she wears in the pool.
- 4:09Speaker 1: And so she was, you know, really set to wear
- 4:12Speaker 1: a mermaid tail, and sure enough we did bring it
- 4:14Speaker 1: and here she is and her natural habitat com on,
- 4:22Speaker 1: come on, are you dying? Dana is choking.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Yeah, it's so cute, adorable.
- 4:32Speaker 1: I know, I know, I know, I know, And like, yeah,
- 4:36Speaker 1: she was like, I want to bring my mermaid tail.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Didn't last for very long, you know, which is fine
- 4:42Speaker 1: fine by me because I had to like lift her
- 4:44Speaker 1: up and drag her into the water, you know, just
- 4:45Speaker 1: a little bit. It's not safe. So then she wanted
- 4:48Speaker 1: to be out of it, which was great. She was
- 4:52Speaker 1: just the cartwheels, the cartwheels, the running in and out,
- 4:55Speaker 1: just constant. Also, we brought a kite, which was adorable.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Here's Brett and Maddie flying a kite together. Also that
- 5:05Speaker 1: little two piece, well the two piece is part of
- 5:09Speaker 1: the mermaid tale. If you notice, they all came together,
- 5:12Speaker 1: so that's a matching set.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Very cute.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Yeah, crazy, so hob but duh, what a.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Great beach ary much So back by like six, call
- 5:24Speaker 1: him by five thirty, you know, perfect, easy, peasy.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Yes.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Now, when was the last time you girals have been
- 5:31Speaker 1: to the beach? Deana? Let's start with you.
- 5:34Speaker 4: Well, I went a couple of days ago. I went
- 5:36Speaker 4: to first time though this summer, and I went to
- 5:39Speaker 4: h Rosie's Beach in Long Beach with my dog and.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Yeah, nice?
- 5:47Speaker 1: Is that a great dog beach?
- 5:49Speaker 4: Oh it's the only one I've ever been to. But
- 5:54Speaker 4: it's crazy because you can just it just I don't know,
- 5:57Speaker 4: it's just so fun to have like a bunch of
- 5:59Speaker 4: dogs frolicking and Otto went in the ocean, which was
- 6:05Speaker 4: just crazy to see and it was so much fun.
- 6:08Speaker 4: It was like great, you know, and I like it
- 6:12Speaker 4: like a little bit. M I like a cooler. I
- 6:16Speaker 4: can't take the direct sun for so long, so I
- 6:19Speaker 4: like to go a little later.
- 6:20Speaker 1: You know. Smart. Yeah, there were dogs on this beach.
- 6:27Speaker 2: I feel like it's probably different in like Ventura, La
- 6:31Speaker 2: Area beaches. Yeah, like right, because there are like there
- 6:35Speaker 2: are certain beaches that you are not allowed to bring
- 6:38Speaker 2: your dogs to. But yeah, I've never been to a
- 6:42Speaker 2: dog beach, but I know I know the name Rosie's
- 6:44Speaker 2: Dog Beach because it's a dog beach.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Well, it's hilarious. To see them run it. I mean
- 6:49Speaker 1: there was the cutest little mut, just tiny little gray
- 6:52Speaker 1: mutt that was just living its best life. And I
- 6:56Speaker 1: just can't explain how joyous it was to watch, yeah,
- 7:00Speaker 1: kids waddling around in their little sand like it's just
- 7:04Speaker 1: so cute to take in, you know. Oh yeah, so yeah,
- 7:07Speaker 1: we had a great time. How about you? When was
- 7:09Speaker 1: the last time you've been to the beach?
- 7:10Speaker 2: Angela, Uh, I'm so ashamed, but it was in Mark
- 7:14Speaker 2: when in March, when my niece was here for spring break.
- 7:18Speaker 2: She loves going out. Oh great, Yeah, so we went
- 7:22Speaker 2: a couple times, which was really nice. But it was like,
- 7:26Speaker 2: just speaking of kids, just they do not care sand everywhere.
- 7:31Speaker 2: They just want to get in that water. And I
- 7:33Speaker 2: remember one of the times when she came to visit
- 7:37Speaker 2: and it was after a long day at the beach,
- 7:39Speaker 2: and I was like, Okay, let's.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Get in the shower together.
- 7:41Speaker 2: We're gonna wash. We're gonna start with our bathing suits
- 7:43Speaker 2: so we can wash our bathing suits off, and then
- 7:45Speaker 2: I'm going to give you a bath. And we're in
- 7:48Speaker 2: the shower.
- 7:49Speaker 3: And you know, washing her bathing suit off.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Then I take off her bathing suit and a big
- 7:52Speaker 2: clump of like brown stuff comes out, And at first
- 7:54Speaker 2: I was like.
- 7:55Speaker 3: Did she just do not for too in my shower?
- 7:58Speaker 3: Like it was but it was the biggest clump of sand.
- 8:02Speaker 2: That she was just running around. You had no idea.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Yeah, it gets really trapped because they have showers there
- 8:09Speaker 1: where you can rinse off. But same thing with Maddie.
- 8:11Speaker 1: When we went to the bathroom, I was like, Okay,
- 8:14Speaker 1: that sand did not make its way out. So it's
- 8:18Speaker 1: so funny. Yeah, well I'm glad that. Well, you know,
- 8:24Speaker 1: you don't really always go to the beach when you
- 8:25Speaker 1: live here, you know, it's just something that you don't
- 8:27Speaker 1: always do unless you're like a surfer, and so there's
- 8:30Speaker 1: that also Jaws. But then again, anyway, so this is
- 8:37Speaker 1: such a fun day to like be talking about Surreal
- 8:40Speaker 1: Life Villa of Secrets because as we were just beginning
- 8:44Speaker 1: to chat before we popped on here, Deanna and I,
- 8:47Speaker 1: you know, we are strangers to the Surreal life and
- 8:51Speaker 1: Angela is not, so we're going to be leaning on
- 8:55Speaker 1: you for a lot of knowledge. But so Deana's like this,
- 8:58Speaker 1: this is your first time and I'm like yeah, And
- 9:00Speaker 1: then Angela you kind of gave us a little bit
- 9:03Speaker 1: of a reality check when you said that, you said,
- 9:07Speaker 1: can you repeat what you said about didn't you see
- 9:08Speaker 1: the iconic season when it.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Was iiconic when Flavor Flav and Regete Nielsen were in
- 9:17Speaker 2: the same house and they fell in love and I
- 9:22Speaker 2: started dating each other, Okay, and there was a spin
- 9:25Speaker 2: off show from that, and it was the biggest gift
- 9:32Speaker 2: to reality show lovers because it was just such a
- 9:37Speaker 2: strange duo. Yeah, and they really did like dig each other,
- 9:43Speaker 2: like he was really like, man, she's crazy. Like it
- 9:46Speaker 2: was so hilarious to watch. And that's like kind of
- 9:51Speaker 2: because it was so long ago. I want to say
- 9:53Speaker 2: it was at least like eighteen years ago, twenty.
- 9:56Speaker 4: Years ago, because say close, yeah.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Because I remember Member for one Halloween Hour and this
- 10:04Speaker 2: was when I was still in Chicago. Our dear friend
- 10:06Speaker 2: Katie and f dressed up as Brigitte Nielsen from either
- 10:10Speaker 2: The Surreal Life or her her the love show that
- 10:14Speaker 2: she had because she wanted to do something special or
- 10:18Speaker 2: maybe she was trying to like flirt with Flavor Flav
- 10:21Speaker 2: and so she was like in the kitchen, cooking and
- 10:24Speaker 2: she was just wearing an ape, sexy, sexy, just an apron,
- 10:29Speaker 2: and so Katie somehow found like a breastplate and like
- 10:35Speaker 2: up pads and bore an apron, so her like fake
- 10:37Speaker 2: boobs falling out of the apron.
- 10:39Speaker 1: That's amazing.
- 10:41Speaker 3: It was a really fun Halloween costume.
- 10:43Speaker 2: But that's really all I remember of the Surreal Life
- 10:46Speaker 2: was that it gave us the gift of Flavor and regime.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Mm hmmm hm.
- 10:51Speaker 1: I'm trying to think. When I moved to La I
- 10:54Speaker 1: think it was twenty thirteen. No, it had to have
- 10:58Speaker 1: been like maybe two thousand and eight. Oh god, I
- 11:00Speaker 1: don't even know. But when I moved here, I remember
- 11:03Speaker 1: going on a hike and maybe Megan Grano was there,
- 11:09Speaker 1: but we were on this We were on this random
- 11:14Speaker 1: like hike up to the Hollywood sign around there, but
- 11:17Speaker 1: it was very private and Flavor Flav was there and
- 11:23Speaker 1: he was like flirting with us, and he gave me
- 11:26Speaker 1: his number.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Did you ever call it?
- 11:31Speaker 1: No? I did not, what I would have I think
- 11:35Speaker 1: it's I mean, I never deleted it. I'm sure it's
- 11:37Speaker 1: still on my phone. But knows how many versions of
- 11:40Speaker 1: numbers he may have had since then. But but yeah,
- 11:42Speaker 1: he had the big clock necklace, you know, so he
- 11:46Speaker 1: was hiking.
- 11:47Speaker 3: He's always he's still flavor.
- 11:48Speaker 1: He had a camera, he had someone with him and
- 11:50Speaker 1: they had a camera, but it wasn't like a big production,
- 11:53Speaker 1: but he was doing something.
- 11:55Speaker 2: So that's amazing.
- 11:57Speaker 3: Did you have to sign a release?
- 11:59Speaker 1: No, I wasn't on or they weren't filming when he
- 12:01Speaker 1: got her number, so it was he was it was
- 12:04Speaker 1: off camera. It was off camera. But this whole Surreal
- 12:10Speaker 1: Life thing is really interesting. I mean I started watching
- 12:14Speaker 1: and I was like immediately sucked in because I can't
- 12:18Speaker 1: get enough of this Chet Hank situation.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Like, okay, I'm going to uh, maybe this is my
- 12:27Speaker 2: unpopular opinion. Okay, I love Chet Hanks.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Oh no, I love him too, that's what. And I
- 12:33Speaker 1: have loved hire or yes, okay, yeah I didn't Trier.
- 12:37Speaker 1: I was like, what is it?
- 12:38Speaker 2: I will I will say the reason that I loved
- 12:42Speaker 2: him prior because it was just comedic gold Like it
- 12:46Speaker 2: was just like this boy is hilarious. But now getting
- 12:51Speaker 2: to know him on the Surreal Life, it's like, oh
- 12:54Speaker 2: he might be my favorite Hanks.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Oh boy, well I'm still gonna so with Tom is
- 13:00Speaker 1: my favorite Hanks. So nothing that's not getting the way
- 13:03Speaker 1: of that I mean you're gonna you're gonna like push
- 13:06Speaker 1: away like saving private Ryan like for it, and you're
- 13:10Speaker 1: gonna choose Chet Hanks over Tom Hanks's work that he's
- 13:13Speaker 1: given us. That's where you are at work.
- 13:17Speaker 2: It's it's about him as a person.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Okay, all right, all right, So separating Okay, I mean.
- 13:23Speaker 2: They're very close. They're they're very close. Because listen, Tom
- 13:26Speaker 2: did come into the trouba door. He was very where
- 13:29Speaker 2: Angela lives.
- 13:31Speaker 3: I used to work.
- 13:32Speaker 2: He lives up to the expectation, so kind, so generous
- 13:37Speaker 2: with his time and his person.
- 13:39Speaker 3: But maybe not that's amazing.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Maybe not. Colin Hanks came in. He was completely the
- 13:47Speaker 2: opposite of his father, very rude. It was like, very disappointing.
- 13:55Speaker 1: That's disappointing.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Yeah, but Chat is just I love him.
- 13:58Speaker 1: But did Chat come in the Troubadour?
- 14:01Speaker 3: You never did?
- 14:01Speaker 1: Okay? What about Elizabeth the daughter?
- 14:08Speaker 3: You don't even know her?
- 14:09Speaker 1: Okay, I had to look up. So it's Colin you did?
- 14:13Speaker 3: I did?
- 14:14Speaker 4: Because yeah, family Colin or Hank, And do they have
- 14:18Speaker 4: the same parents?
- 14:20Speaker 1: Yeah, so it's the two older ones that have a
- 14:23Speaker 1: different mother than Rita Wilson and the two older two
- 14:27Speaker 1: younger boys are Chet and Truman, Oh yeah, yes and Chester,
- 14:37Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Chester.
- 14:38Speaker 4: That was a reveal.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Yeah, someone explosive reveal because I think it was Tyler
- 14:46Speaker 1: of it called him that or somebody else.
- 14:49Speaker 4: Johnny was Johnny definitely settling into the Chester of it all.
- 14:54Speaker 1: He was going to call that out. Yeah, yeah, Johnny weird.
- 15:01Speaker 2: He's just you know, unapologetically himself and he's just like
- 15:05Speaker 2: take it or leave it, and I will take it.
- 15:08Speaker 4: Well, I will see the last time. Well, I feel
- 15:11Speaker 4: like the the the understanding I've had of Chat Hanks
- 15:17Speaker 4: is the you know, the Jamaican accent, right, So I
- 15:26Speaker 4: didn't know if that was going to be with us
- 15:28Speaker 4: or not, you know, during it, and I was sort
- 15:31Speaker 4: of gearing Yeah, I was sort of getting my.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Body, you were bearing down, I had going into labor.
- 15:39Speaker 4: Understandable, centered, Yeah, get my breathing right, well, you know
- 15:45Speaker 4: they know about breathing, speaking of and so I thought
- 15:52Speaker 4: very much I was going to hear the accent, Jamaican accent.
- 15:55Speaker 4: And I also thought he was going to be wrapping
- 15:58Speaker 4: at me.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Yeah, at you, like at you, not with or for
- 16:05Speaker 1: at a.
- 16:07Speaker 4: But I did touch down with Chat a few weeks ago,
- 16:10Speaker 4: and I'm not I know I brought this to the
- 16:12Speaker 4: Poor Darlings earlier, which was the Poor Darlings where I
- 16:17Speaker 4: got them involved in the Kendrick and Drake beef.
- 16:22Speaker 3: The text message from Tom to chat.
- 16:24Speaker 4: Yes, there is a text message from Tom Hanks to
- 16:30Speaker 4: his son Chet Hanks, trying to figure out what the
- 16:34Speaker 4: beef is about between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. It is brilliant.
- 16:42Speaker 4: And Emily, my my co host, did like a cold
- 16:47Speaker 4: read of it, and I was like, Okay, from now on,
- 16:50Speaker 4: I need every exchange that is from Tom to Chet,
- 16:55Speaker 4: and I would like it being read by Emily.
- 16:56Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. It was so I don't
- 17:00Speaker 1: want to steal your thunder, but I need I'm gonna
- 17:03Speaker 1: need to know if this tech set.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Oh I'm looking it up right now.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Okay, But also you can go to does she read
- 17:08Speaker 1: it on your podcast?
- 17:10Speaker 4: Oh yeah, it's too No, But I'm just saying, like
- 17:14Speaker 4: feel yeah, go to how to be less old dot
- 17:15Speaker 4: com or how to be lessold dot subsec dot com.
- 17:18Speaker 4: But really and truly like please, Angela.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Wait, do you need music? Is it? Is it? Do
- 17:26Speaker 1: we need a musical backdrop.
- 17:29Speaker 4: For this, well, it might be good to just hear it.
- 17:32Speaker 4: Clean out.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Okay, clean out, all right, let's do that.
- 17:35Speaker 4: Only because it's dense, you know. Okay, hold on, I
- 17:42Speaker 4: let me know if you have it, I could be
- 17:44Speaker 4: Tom if you want to take chat.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Oh, okay, if there's a back and forth, this is
- 17:49Speaker 1: gonna be so fun.
- 17:50Speaker 3: This is ridiculous.
- 17:51Speaker 2: I don't know why I'm having so much trouble finding
- 17:53Speaker 2: it because it was so easy.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Okay, I'm going to resume. Okay, we've resumed. We've got
- 17:58Speaker 1: the dialogue pulled up in front. Angelo will be playing
- 18:01Speaker 1: the role of Chet and Deanna will be playing the
- 18:04Speaker 1: role of Tom Hanks.
- 18:05Speaker 4: Okay, players, Big Maine, can you explain the Drake Kendrick
- 18:10Speaker 4: Lamar feud to me? Question Mark.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Yeah, So Drake and this other dude, Jake Cole been
- 18:17Speaker 2: saying they, along with Kendrick, are the Big three in rap.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Then Kendrick put out a song saying, fuck the Big three,
- 18:22Speaker 2: it's just me initiating the beef. Then Drake was like,
- 18:26Speaker 2: you got small feet because you're five foot five or whatever,
- 18:28Speaker 2: and then Kendrick was like, you're a deadbeat dad and
- 18:31Speaker 2: make fun of his Canadian accent, So Drake came back
- 18:33Speaker 2: and was like, oh, yeah, well I heard you beat
- 18:35Speaker 2: your wife. But literally, like thirty seconds later, Kendrick put
- 18:38Speaker 2: out a diss overshadowing Drake's dis where he pretty much
- 18:41Speaker 2: methodically dismantled Drake's entire psyche and called him a pedophile
- 18:45Speaker 2: for flirting with young girls and revealing Drake had another
- 18:47Speaker 2: kid that he was hiding from the world, which turned
- 18:49Speaker 2: out to be false, And Drake came back and was like,
- 18:52Speaker 2: ha ha, I got your ass. I have people give
- 18:54Speaker 2: you false in but to make you look stupid. But
- 18:57Speaker 2: it didn't even matter because then Kendrick just dropped another
- 19:00Speaker 2: West Coast banger where he really went in on labeling
- 19:02Speaker 2: Drake a pedophile. That was pretty much the Sonic equivalent
- 19:06Speaker 2: hold on Sonic equivalent where I lost my oh my god.
- 19:11Speaker 2: It went down like he pretty much the sonic equivalent
- 19:15Speaker 2: of when you took me to your high school in
- 19:16Speaker 2: Oakland and we walked out on the basketball game and
- 19:19Speaker 2: everybody started going nuts, Like if you heard it, you
- 19:21Speaker 2: would just automatically know how to crip walk with a
- 19:23Speaker 2: stank face while clutching an oscar in each hand with
- 19:26Speaker 2: Marshawn Lynch then dap him up and tell him Town Baldy's,
- 19:29Speaker 2: which solidified the win not only for Kendrick but the
- 19:33Speaker 2: entire West Coast.
- 19:34Speaker 4: Holy cow, these are fighting words, people taking sides. Who's winning?
- 19:42Speaker 3: Did you not just read what I said?
- 19:44Speaker 2: Crying laughing face, crying laughing face, crying laughing face.
- 19:50Speaker 1: I need and I might have had the same question.
- 19:53Speaker 1: But Drake is winning at this point, right, yeah, Kendrick,
- 19:57Speaker 1: Oh shit, Amy, that was hard follow I just put
- 20:06Speaker 1: myself in Tom Hanks's category and just just catapult to
- 20:11Speaker 1: myself out of chats. I'm very uncool.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Wow, he has won a what was it a pulitzer? Like?
- 20:20Speaker 4: Yes?
- 20:21Speaker 1: Oh wow?
- 20:22Speaker 2: Do not he did for what? Yes? Lysly, you do
- 20:29Speaker 2: not mess with Kendrick Lamar. He has repeatedly destroyed Drake
- 20:34Speaker 2: with this whole battle.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Like, okay, hold on, hold on before we continue down
- 20:38Speaker 1: this rabbit hole, which I'm obsessed with because I need help.
- 20:42Speaker 1: You need to hold my hand more. But I would
- 20:44Speaker 1: really love to talk about Jenny Caine Apparel because they
- 20:48Speaker 1: are a sponsor today and I'm so lucky. I'm so obsessed.

- 26:38Speaker 2: at the Hollywood Bowl.
- 26:39Speaker 3: Was it the Hollywood Bowl?
- 26:40Speaker 2: No?
- 26:41Speaker 4: It was at the oh no, No, at the Forum
- 26:45Speaker 4: in Inglewood.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:46Speaker 4: So yeah, and.
- 26:49Speaker 2: He destroyed Drake. Drake is fighting for his.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Life and who started it again?
- 26:57Speaker 3: Drake?
- 26:58Speaker 1: And he said fuck the big right, Drake.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Drake said, Jake, Cole and Kendrick were the Big three. Yeah,
- 27:05Speaker 2: and then Hendrick said, oh, fuck the Big three.
- 27:07Speaker 1: It's just it's oh, it's okay, Drake off got it okay,
- 27:12Speaker 1: and we.
- 27:13Speaker 4: Were really off to the races after that.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Amy, Wow, thank you for breaking it down for me.
- 27:18Speaker 1: And I needed to be reminded of the first one.
- 27:20Speaker 1: I love that Chet assumes that this will be easily
- 27:23Speaker 1: followed by his father, which clearly isn't. If you're able
- 27:29Speaker 1: to read it, yeah, if you're able to read it,
- 27:31Speaker 1: you'd have to go back and you know, really reread.
- 27:34Speaker 1: And I would have to do that too, because comprehension
- 27:36Speaker 1: problem over here.
- 27:37Speaker 2: Chet posted it to his Twitter and the screenshots and
- 27:42Speaker 2: the what he wrote was the most Tom Hanks response everard,
- 27:47Speaker 2: because holy girl.
- 27:49Speaker 4: It really so cute. Yeah, you know that I didn't
- 27:56Speaker 4: know who, which, yes, I thought like, we're gonna get
- 28:01Speaker 4: the Jamaican version of chat, which is a tough one,
- 28:05Speaker 4: you know, tough to tough to be rolling around with
- 28:08Speaker 4: that accent from as a California native. But wow, is
- 28:14Speaker 4: he a goddamn freakin' delight.
- 28:18Speaker 2: He really is.
- 28:20Speaker 1: He's just we're all gonna be chatheads, you know, chathead.
- 28:28Speaker 1: We're three and we're chattheads, total chad, I mean, and
- 28:32Speaker 1: he's a I love that he calls himself a professional
- 28:34Speaker 1: chat It's so stupid. And yeah, I was.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Just gonna say, but also we know he does not
- 28:43Speaker 2: take himself so seriously, you know what I mean, like,
- 28:45Speaker 2: because you know he did get he's been getting kind
- 28:49Speaker 2: of vulnerable and being you know, he I can't imagine
- 28:55Speaker 2: how hard it is to be a child of a
- 28:57Speaker 2: celebrity that is like that high in the stratosphere.
- 29:02Speaker 1: It's almost like a death sentence totally for in multiple ways.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Mental health wise, well, I would just say mental health,
- 29:13Speaker 1: you know, because everything else there's not going to be
- 29:15Speaker 1: a sacrifice. You have everything that you need, but it's
- 29:20Speaker 1: just such an incredible uphill battle and there's just no
- 29:24Speaker 1: way to conquer that. You're going to be born with
- 29:28Speaker 1: these demons unless you can supersede the impossible. And even
- 29:34Speaker 1: when you feel like you can finally get over it,
- 29:36Speaker 1: you're probably not anywhere near that until you're like forty fifty.
- 29:41Speaker 1: You're probably like fifty sixty years old, because it takes time.
- 29:45Speaker 2: Always there, I'm sure, deep deep, deep down, because it's
- 29:49Speaker 2: just I'm the public projects onto him, like, oh, your
- 29:54Speaker 2: identity is Tom Hanks and Rina Wilson's son.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Yeah, that's who you are.
- 30:00Speaker 2: I cannot imagine the pressure and the like.
- 30:03Speaker 1: I mean, even like the royal family has it a
- 30:05Speaker 1: little easier because they have their they're given their own
- 30:08Speaker 1: identities by ranking, so they already can stand in that.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Whereas like a Chat Hanks or anyone like Arnold Schwarzenegger's kids,
- 30:17Speaker 1: anybody like that would be huge celebrities. They don't get
- 30:23Speaker 1: their own like prince title. Yeah, the demands immediate respect.
- 30:28Speaker 1: They get nothing, and they have to, you know, they
- 30:32Speaker 1: have to overly prove themselves, and some do a great
- 30:35Speaker 1: job at that, like for example, you've got with nepotism.
- 30:39Speaker 1: You can enter the entertainment field by way of a
- 30:44Speaker 1: lot of favors, and you can get opportunities and doors
- 30:47Speaker 1: are open for you and you can get there, but
- 30:50Speaker 1: you can't stay there unless you actually have what it takes, right.
- 30:55Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I mean, oh go ahead.
- 30:59Speaker 4: Yeah. I feel like we saw exactly what it is
- 31:03Speaker 4: like for him when people didn't know who he was.
- 31:08Speaker 4: He was getting to know people as a person who's
- 31:10Speaker 4: in there, you know, genuine high I'm chet, I'm a
- 31:16Speaker 4: chet master flex or whatever. And then they learn he's
- 31:22Speaker 4: Tom Hanks's son, and they're all sitting in like a
- 31:26Speaker 4: little circle, and you see it. I felt it. I
- 31:29Speaker 4: felt it so heavy in my chest when people are
- 31:32Speaker 4: going crazy about Tom Hanks, Tom Hanks, and it's just
- 31:35Speaker 4: like it's not him, you know, now he's now everything
- 31:41Speaker 4: gets filtered through that lens. Yeah, yeah, yeah, and he is,
- 31:46Speaker 4: and what people are going to experience from him, it's
- 31:50Speaker 4: all through the lens of Tom Hanks, which is tough, right.
- 31:53Speaker 1: And not to mention his mom, who has her own
- 31:56Speaker 1: reputation of being incredible Rana Wilson. Yeah, but obviously, no,
- 32:01Speaker 1: you can't compare the two, you know. Yeah, because if
- 32:05Speaker 1: you're like somebody like Rita Wilson and you have kids,
- 32:09Speaker 1: I think that's doable, you know what I mean. But
- 32:11Speaker 1: when you have someone like Tom Hanks, it's just a
- 32:15Speaker 1: plus celebrity all the way. I mean, it's like, forget
- 32:17Speaker 1: it and the drugs, the escape that you'd need, the pressure.
- 32:25Speaker 1: I just I feel it. I feel bad like that,
- 32:28Speaker 1: you know, And then you have that also, that thing
- 32:30Speaker 1: where you're like, well, these spoiled kids they get everything
- 32:34Speaker 1: they want and then they end up like, oh no,
- 32:37Speaker 1: poor me, I'm on drugs, and it's like you've got
- 32:40Speaker 1: everything you need. You know what about everybody else who
- 32:43Speaker 1: doesn't have what they need? Why are you complaining? Why
- 32:45Speaker 1: are you like, oh poor poor me? My dad is
- 32:47Speaker 1: Tom Hanks.
- 32:48Speaker 2: You know.
- 32:48Speaker 1: There's that other side of the coin, which I think
- 32:51Speaker 1: is a vapid way of looking at it, because I
- 32:54Speaker 1: don't really think that that's true. I mean, I think
- 32:55Speaker 1: that people who see it like that don't understand how
- 32:58Speaker 1: difficult it can be on you mental.
- 33:01Speaker 2: But I think the people that see it like that,
- 33:05Speaker 2: like you have so much money, you have so much stuff,
- 33:07Speaker 2: you have everything you want. It's it's like that saying
- 33:12Speaker 2: some people are so poor all they have is money,
- 33:15Speaker 2: Like who like the material things the money, Sure, that's helpful,
- 33:20Speaker 2: but like the the emotional toll, the mental toll of
- 33:26Speaker 2: like I, I, why can't I just be you know,
- 33:33Speaker 2: Art Quintana's son from Greenwood, Indiana, you.
- 33:36Speaker 1: Know, like that's what they would wish.
- 33:38Speaker 2: Yeah, right, Like I, it would be so much better
- 33:41Speaker 2: if I didn't have the expectation of, oh god, you're
- 33:43Speaker 2: Tom Hanks's son, you must be this or this and
- 33:46Speaker 2: this and this is probably how you should be or
- 33:49Speaker 2: you are and oh my god, I can't believe you're
- 33:51Speaker 2: not like that.
- 33:52Speaker 1: And also like everybody wants to be friends with you
- 33:55Speaker 1: for the wrong reasons and get to know you for
- 33:56Speaker 1: all the wrong reasons. So you've got to find a
- 33:59Speaker 1: group that doesn't give a fuck about yeah, you know, yeah,
- 34:03Speaker 1: and sometimes that's not a great crowd. But he also
- 34:11Speaker 1: said I'm not you know, I've grown out of being
- 34:14Speaker 1: like fame hungry, and now I'm not doing this for fame.
- 34:18Speaker 1: I'm just doing it for the money.
- 34:20Speaker 2: Was hilarious when he was like, I'm not doing this
- 34:23Speaker 2: for more fame, I'm just doing it for the money
- 34:25Speaker 2: and the experience, and I don't know if you guys
- 34:27Speaker 2: saw it.
- 34:27Speaker 1: He threw in the experience behind it to say that, yeah,
- 34:32Speaker 1: and then he laughed because he knew.
- 34:35Speaker 2: How hilarious hilariously true it probably.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Was, which I appreciate it.
- 34:42Speaker 2: But when he laughed, he like laughed and did something
- 34:46Speaker 2: and his face. I was like, oh my god, I
- 34:48Speaker 2: see Tom in his face. It was just so kind
- 34:51Speaker 2: of kind of cute because it was like, oh, genetics
- 34:54Speaker 2: are real, like you do kind of look.
- 34:55Speaker 1: I see Tom a lot in his face, in his eyes,
- 35:00Speaker 1: you know, no, but I'll look for it.
- 35:03Speaker 2: Wow.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Yeah, it's really to me. I see a lot of it.
- 35:08Speaker 2: I don't but that there was just when he like giggled,
- 35:10Speaker 2: when he like yiggled at himself.
- 35:12Speaker 3: For saying that, I was like, oh my god, there's
- 35:14Speaker 3: Tom's face.
- 35:14Speaker 1: Like really true and it's funny to see like a
- 35:17Speaker 1: Tom Hanks with like all these tattoos, just super chiseled far.
- 35:23Speaker 4: Yeah. I think I'm like, his shoulders keep taking my
- 35:26Speaker 4: attention away. They're just so serious, you know, like they're
- 35:31Speaker 4: just such a skull shoulder shoulders.
- 35:34Speaker 2: He's got ers. But he's like when he's just so
- 35:41Speaker 2: cheeky and adorable, like not to get ahead of everything.
- 35:45Speaker 2: But when he was kind of like flirting with Kim
- 35:47Speaker 2: in the kitchen and he was like, oh, Kim had
- 35:50Speaker 2: been sad all day and she's like why and he's like,
- 35:52Speaker 2: because I haven't got to see you.
- 35:53Speaker 3: And she's like I knew you were going to say that.
- 35:55Speaker 2: And then Ot comes in and he was like, have
- 35:59Speaker 2: you ever had a woman fly you out? And he's like.
- 36:02Speaker 1: What that was a weird question, such a weird question,
- 36:05Speaker 1: which I was like, is he trying to set this up?
- 36:08Speaker 3: Like it is O T trying to set this up?
- 36:10Speaker 2: Because O T also knows Kim his wife were friends,
- 36:15Speaker 2: so he knows like what she's going through, so maybe
- 36:17Speaker 2: he was just trying to like facilitate make her to
- 36:20Speaker 2: like feel good about herself whatever.
- 36:22Speaker 3: But it was so funny.
- 36:24Speaker 2: He's like, yeah, I just want I really would love
- 36:26Speaker 2: like to be wined and dined by uh and that
- 36:31Speaker 2: ship him cut him off and she goes, I'm see
- 36:35Speaker 2: I'm old fashioned and he goes by an old fashioned
- 36:39Speaker 2: woman and it was just yeah, yeah, I'll tell you what,
- 36:47Speaker 2: you can laugh me right into bed. It was funny,
- 36:50Speaker 2: like a sense of humor is like Okay, I think
- 36:55Speaker 2: I love like just so cheesy and funny, like by.
- 36:59Speaker 1: The wait, what is the connection but with Mikayla or
- 37:04Speaker 1: something that OT's the mother of her baby? Was she?
- 37:10Speaker 1: They said, baby mama. So I don't know if they're
- 37:12Speaker 1: married or not.
- 37:14Speaker 2: Kim just said that they were like good friends. She
- 37:16Speaker 2: and his wife were good.
- 37:17Speaker 1: Friends, Malika and she a Kardashian.
- 37:21Speaker 4: Friend, Kardashian's best friend.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Thank you, that's what I thought. I did not can't
- 37:27Speaker 1: believe it, and I don't I can't you know, and
- 37:29Speaker 1: I don't have my finger on the pulse of Kardashian
- 37:31Speaker 1: at all, but I know I was like, I know her.
- 37:33Speaker 1: She's been around on that show. So okay, I love
- 37:36Speaker 1: Lake Girl, Lovelake Girl. Oh really yeah, okay, great.
- 37:41Speaker 4: She seems like a sweetheart. Her and her sister. I
- 37:44Speaker 4: don't know who's too, but like because they look exactly
- 37:46Speaker 4: the same, but they both seemed so sweet nice.
- 37:50Speaker 1: Well that was funny when Kim came in and was like,
- 37:52Speaker 1: I don't know who I'm going to see. I always
- 37:55Speaker 1: get bamboozled, you know, because she's so used to like
- 37:58Speaker 1: I think she was thinking, I'm gonna walk in this
- 38:00Speaker 1: place in see Nini, which she made joke about. Yeah,
- 38:04Speaker 1: but to see that there was really no one in
- 38:06Speaker 1: there except for Ot, which was a pleasant surprise.
- 38:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:12Speaker 2: I do also love Johnny, like when they first met,
- 38:16Speaker 2: who's a kid got kid like he was. He's a
- 38:20Speaker 2: housewife fan, you can tell.
- 38:22Speaker 1: Yeah, And the fact that she's an ice skating fan,
- 38:25Speaker 1: which I'm not sure if that's one hundred percent true,
- 38:27Speaker 1: but I kind of believe it.
- 38:28Speaker 3: I mean, who's not a fan of Johnny?
- 38:30Speaker 2: Where? Right? He changed? It's insane to me that he
- 38:34Speaker 2: has never won an Olympic medal. He changes the game
- 38:39Speaker 2: of ice skating in that athletic I don't Yeah, I
- 38:43Speaker 2: don't have to. I can be myself and still do
- 38:46Speaker 2: what I love.
- 38:47Speaker 4: Well.
- 38:47Speaker 1: I love how he was able to just so quickly
- 38:51Speaker 1: and concisely explain what he did in the way of
- 38:54Speaker 1: ice skating, and by pushing aside how strict everything is
- 38:59Speaker 1: I just and then push that aside and not caring
- 39:00Speaker 1: and just being He's like I did me and now
- 39:03Speaker 1: I'm like the most famous ice skater in the nation.
- 39:05Speaker 1: And it's so true. Yes, yes, but he had to
- 39:09Speaker 1: follow all of the rules to get there. And then
- 39:12Speaker 1: once he got there, he changed the game because like
- 39:15Speaker 1: it reminded me of who's the one who had the
- 39:20Speaker 1: Nie thank you or Nancy?
- 39:23Speaker 3: Which one Nancy had? Tanya did the.
- 39:26Speaker 1: Bashi so Tanya. So if you watch eye Tanya, you know,
- 39:31Speaker 1: it's like she couldn't be herself, which was like the
- 39:35Speaker 1: gal from the Wrong Side of the tracks, the guy
- 39:37Speaker 1: who has a little bit too much hair spray in
- 39:40Speaker 1: her hair and a little too much flashy leotards. You know,
- 39:44Speaker 1: they frowned upon that. They frowned upon that, so they
- 39:47Speaker 1: needed her to change that look. But they and that's
- 39:49Speaker 1: what always set her back is that she didn't look
- 39:52Speaker 1: like the pretty pretty princess ice skater on the top
- 39:54Speaker 1: of a cake. They deducted that from her. So it
- 40:01Speaker 1: is gross. But I think like had she played the
- 40:04Speaker 1: game and you know, lean into that, then later maybe
- 40:08Speaker 1: switch it up kind of like Johnny Weird did, you
- 40:11Speaker 1: would have gained more ground. But who would have known,
- 40:13Speaker 1: you know? But I guess I nab agate.
- 40:15Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, guys, can I get Can I peel back
- 40:22Speaker 4: just to get into like what is the surreal life?
- 40:25Speaker 4: Can we just start?
- 40:26Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 40:26Speaker 4: I'm sorry to like my question is having not seen
- 40:33Speaker 4: it since since the Flavor Flave of Days twenty years ago,
- 40:39Speaker 4: let's call it.
- 40:39Speaker 1: Twenty can't believe it's still on, Okay, yeah, like.
- 40:43Speaker 2: Well they took major breaks.
- 40:44Speaker 1: Oh they did, Okay, Yeah?
- 40:47Speaker 4: What is the Is it always a self help type
- 40:51Speaker 4: of situation, like you're going into this house to better yourself?
- 40:56Speaker 2: See, I don't really remember it being like that back
- 40:59Speaker 2: in the day because I don't like, back then, no
- 41:02Speaker 2: one really gave a shit about your mental health, you
- 41:04Speaker 2: know what I mean. I think it was more for
- 41:06Speaker 2: like the outrageousness of like having the most random group
- 41:11Speaker 2: of like you know, seistish celebrities thrown together in this
- 41:18Speaker 2: house for two weeks and let's just see what happens.
- 41:20Speaker 2: Because it really was like back in the day, I
- 41:24Speaker 2: wish I could remember more people, but it was just
- 41:28Speaker 2: the most random group of people living together. And so
- 41:33Speaker 2: you're just like, this is really surreal, Like what are
- 41:37Speaker 2: they people living together? Like I remember seeing like the
- 41:41Speaker 2: previews for when it first came out, and I was like,
- 41:44Speaker 2: what is happening? And it, I mean, it was really
- 41:48Speaker 2: fun to watch, and uh, I'm kind of glad they
- 41:52Speaker 2: brought it back.
- 41:53Speaker 3: And this is a great cast.
- 41:55Speaker 4: So is this some so there hasn't been. Was it
- 41:57Speaker 4: one last year?
- 41:59Speaker 3: I don't.
- 42:00Speaker 2: I think I feel like there was one in maybe
- 42:03Speaker 2: two years ago. I think like Dennis Rodman was on it. Okay, yeah,
- 42:09Speaker 2: like I but.
- 42:11Speaker 4: Overall it's really about like the randomness you're gonna be
- 42:15Speaker 4: with these people. It's gonna be random and we're gonna
- 42:17Speaker 4: see what happens. But this may be the first time
- 42:20Speaker 4: that there was a healing journey, yeah, I feel like.
- 42:24Speaker 2: Okay, so like there was one with Ron, Jeremy Vanilla, Ice,
- 42:29Speaker 2: Tammy fay Baker, Eric Estrada, those people were all together.
- 42:34Speaker 2: And now that I'm seeing this, I do remember it.
- 42:36Speaker 2: Tammy fay like I love her. Did you guys ever
- 42:41Speaker 2: see that documentary through the eyes of Tammy Fay h?
- 42:45Speaker 3: I just I adore her.
- 42:48Speaker 2: But it was it So it was like that group
- 42:52Speaker 2: of people, like why is Eric Estrada living with Tammy
- 42:55Speaker 2: fay Baker and.
- 42:56Speaker 3: Traschelle from the real world?
- 42:59Speaker 2: Like very random?
- 43:01Speaker 1: And I feel like was there too, And I.
- 43:05Speaker 2: Feel like they did have to do like challenges maybe,
- 43:09Speaker 2: but nothing was focused on like let's get deep, let's
- 43:13Speaker 2: really try to heal.
- 43:14Speaker 1: Got it? Okay? All right? Well that makes sense. Interesting
- 43:19Speaker 1: that jose Canseco also did the Surrealize and now Josie
- 43:23Speaker 1: Conseko is doing it and she's pretty amazing. Oh she's
- 43:27Speaker 1: so beautiful.
- 43:29Speaker 4: Legacy casting.
- 43:31Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, so Kim's wine suitcase.
- 43:40Speaker 3: Was I have.
- 43:44Speaker 1: It's glass. Watch out.
- 43:47Speaker 2: Friends that have a wine. They belonged to several different
- 43:51Speaker 2: wine clubs and anywhere they traveled, they bring their wine suitcase.
- 43:56Speaker 1: I mean, the fact that we saw a wine suitcase
- 43:59Speaker 1: and not a wigs suitcase.
- 44:00Speaker 2: Is and that fact that she did not wear her
- 44:04Speaker 2: wig at the talent show.
- 44:05Speaker 1: Okay, she did it.
- 44:08Speaker 2: She said, I'm doing this without my weave, and you
- 44:10Speaker 2: could tell. It was a little like she has beautiful hair.
- 44:13Speaker 4: It looked gorgeous. It's right, I've ever seen her. It
- 44:16Speaker 4: was like, swept to the side, it looks natural. It
- 44:19Speaker 4: was going, yes, it looks so good. I was like, wait,
- 44:22Speaker 4: that's her real hair. What is she This is someone
- 44:25Speaker 4: needs to have an intervention with her because the wings
- 44:28Speaker 4: are not serving her.
- 44:30Speaker 3: No, but her hair.
- 44:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I know she loves them, but they're not doing there.
- 44:38Speaker 4: She was not the right thing.
- 44:40Speaker 1: She was flipping that gorgeous hair around. I had no idea.
- 44:43Speaker 2: Yeah, it was right, Wow, But she showed it before.
- 44:47Speaker 2: Remember she showed her natural hair before on Atlanta on
- 44:50Speaker 2: Real Housewives of Atlanta. Yeah. Yeah, and it's so much
- 44:54Speaker 2: it baffles me. I know, I agree, it baffles me that, like,
- 44:57Speaker 2: that is your real hair and you're covering it up.
- 45:00Speaker 1: Hell yeah.
- 45:02Speaker 2: I was like to help me in the studio.
- 45:04Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean Croy just being like I don't want
- 45:08Speaker 1: you in there. I don't like you in there, and
- 45:10Speaker 1: her being like there's cameras everywhere. Hell no, you know,
- 45:14Speaker 1: and then just being like what, Yeah.
- 45:18Speaker 2: I was just gonna say. And when she was like
- 45:21Speaker 2: there's cameras everywhere. That was after she found out that
- 45:25Speaker 2: there are no cameras in the bathrooms.
- 45:27Speaker 1: But we haven't seen them get together yet, right, so
- 45:29Speaker 1: we have not seen him and Chet go in the bathroom, but.
- 45:32Speaker 3: I think that's coming in the next episode.
- 45:34Speaker 1: And have we seen Chet talk about how his parents
- 45:38Speaker 1: sent him away to a camp yet, because I don't
- 45:40Speaker 1: see that you have, Okay, I don't know how I
- 45:42Speaker 1: miss that, So can you can someone explain to me?
- 45:44Speaker 1: The camp thing? Was that like a Paris Hilton camp?
- 45:47Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, he was like I woke up in the
- 45:50Speaker 2: middle of the night with like big, huge guys like
- 45:53Speaker 2: grabbing me and taking me and he's like, I'm disoriented.
- 45:58Speaker 2: I was like in a deep sleep and they basically
- 46:01Speaker 2: kidnapped him. But everyone is like sitting there, and I
- 46:04Speaker 2: think it was Johnny he was like or Tyler. Someone
- 46:07Speaker 2: was like, did someone at least say to you you're
- 46:11Speaker 2: not being kidnapped? And he was like, oh yeah, they
- 46:14Speaker 2: said your parents told us. Your parents wanted us to
- 46:17Speaker 2: do this. And they took him away to like a
- 46:21Speaker 2: wilderness camp or something like that, and it was just
- 46:24Speaker 2: like and it was very interesting when after whoever asked
- 46:29Speaker 2: the question of if they told him he was not
- 46:33Speaker 2: this is you're not being kidnapped, And then when he
- 46:36Speaker 2: said my parents told them to do this, you could
- 46:40Speaker 2: kind of see everyone like.
- 46:43Speaker 1: The yeah, yeah, so what I will.
- 46:50Speaker 4: Yeah, it was a different time, Like, do you guys
- 46:52Speaker 4: remember on all the talk shows that it was like,
- 46:55Speaker 4: oh yeah, an option, you know, if your kid would
- 47:00Speaker 4: you know, getting scared straight was a thing and so
- 47:03Speaker 4: as crazy and fucked up as it is we are,
- 47:07Speaker 4: just you know, at that time, I do think when
- 47:11Speaker 4: parents were out of options, that they thought they were
- 47:15Speaker 4: out of options because their kid was so out of control.
- 47:17Speaker 4: It seemed like a potential plan.
- 47:21Speaker 1: Yeah, and they didn't really know exactly what's going to happen,
- 47:25Speaker 1: Like I mean Kathy Hilton and the Hilton's, they certainly
- 47:28Speaker 1: didn't know that they would abuse them like that.
- 47:31Speaker 3: Yeah, that was disturbing.
- 47:33Speaker 1: And so do you think that he had some level
- 47:35Speaker 1: of abuse there?
- 47:38Speaker 2: I wouldn't be surprised. I feel like pretty much all
- 47:41Speaker 2: those places did.
- 47:42Speaker 1: Did he talk about that at all? Or no? Okay,
- 47:45Speaker 1: he didn't say anything about no. Interesting, Well, his story
- 47:50Speaker 1: about living in a haunted house was why and he
- 47:55Speaker 1: was like and the door went like this, and then
- 48:02Speaker 1: and then the fact that they had nightcam footage of
- 48:04Speaker 1: him having like a night tear shut the I was like,
- 48:09Speaker 1: I really.
- 48:11Speaker 2: It was so good that because he's like, I sat
- 48:13Speaker 2: like a baby.
- 48:13Speaker 3: I slept hard.
- 48:14Speaker 2: And Tyler was like, you.
- 48:17Speaker 1: Know what scared the ship out of me. But I
- 48:21Speaker 1: was really bunned that we didn't get to hear more
- 48:22Speaker 1: about that haunted house because Ali decided to have her
- 48:25Speaker 1: little breakdown there or Alie.
- 48:28Speaker 2: She's a sweetheart and I can't imagine what she went
- 48:32Speaker 2: through in Fifth Harmony. Yeah, that's so, it's like that
- 48:37Speaker 2: was an x Factor Right. I never watched it, but
- 48:40Speaker 2: I feel like that was a girl group that came
- 48:42Speaker 2: from the show X Factor.
- 48:43Speaker 1: Oh did so?
- 48:46Speaker 4: The two major people who came out of Fifth Harmony
- 48:49Speaker 4: are Camilla Cabello, right and or Or? Do I even
- 48:53Speaker 4: have that right?
- 48:54Speaker 3: I know, I feel like that sounds right.
- 48:57Speaker 1: I don't know. I will look it up. I had
- 49:02Speaker 1: no idea that, Yeah, you're right, Vocals was Camila Cabello.
- 49:07Speaker 1: I thought I was thinking this was back like ten
- 49:10Speaker 1: years ago, but it must have been more recent than that. Okay,
- 49:15Speaker 1: But Lauren ju U, Jao Gui Normani, Ali Brooke, and
- 49:22Speaker 1: Dean Dinah Jane.
- 49:24Speaker 2: Normanis the other as the other band?
- 49:26Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, wow, Camilla Cabello, Wow, that's impressive. So that
- 49:32Speaker 1: was why did Fifth Harmony break up for solo careers? Obviously? Yeah,
- 49:39Speaker 1: I don't know if it was X Factor or not.
- 49:42Speaker 1: I can't put my finger on it. I'll keep googling.
- 49:45Speaker 2: I don't think it was Puff Daddy's making the band.
- 49:50Speaker 2: I don't think that because Danity Kane was Aubrey O
- 49:53Speaker 2: Day's group that came out of Puff Daddy's show. Okay,
- 49:58Speaker 2: but just I feel like all that is it's just
- 50:00Speaker 2: so gross of these like grown older men putting together
- 50:04Speaker 2: groups of young girls and then to feel like, I'm
- 50:07Speaker 2: sure they feel like they have access to them and
- 50:09Speaker 2: they can, you know, tell them we kind of control you,
- 50:13Speaker 2: we own you. And I can't imagine living through that
- 50:17Speaker 2: as a young girl in your early twenties twenties, not
- 50:20Speaker 2: really knowing, you're just thinking like, oh, these people want
- 50:25Speaker 2: success for us, they want to want the best for us.
- 50:29Speaker 2: And then to find out that the executive has like
- 50:31Speaker 2: come to my room, like.
- 50:32Speaker 1: Oh, it's disgusting. There's no protection. No, yeah, they want
- 50:36Speaker 1: third place on the second season of The X Factor.
- 50:38Speaker 1: Of The X Factor, Okay, that's terrible. Like, you know,
- 50:43Speaker 1: she obviously has had some major trauma from that and
- 50:48Speaker 1: and is pretty reticent about sharing it. She's starting to
- 50:51Speaker 1: come around, Yeah, Like I was just lot more there.
- 50:55Speaker 2: There has to, because it was I was just hoping
- 50:58Speaker 2: that we would get a little more of what it
- 51:02Speaker 2: was about talking about his haunted house that triggered her
- 51:07Speaker 2: so deeply. I was just waiting for her like, oh, okay,
- 51:13Speaker 2: explain this.
- 51:14Speaker 3: Like what what was it?
- 51:16Speaker 2: What did he say that made you be like I'm
- 51:18Speaker 2: having a panic attack.
- 51:20Speaker 4: I think what happened was that she just realized she's
- 51:25Speaker 4: on this show. The idea in this particular version of
- 51:29Speaker 4: Sourial life is that everyone's going to kind of open
- 51:31Speaker 4: up and unpack and connect. And she realized, I'm a
- 51:35Speaker 4: few days in and I'm not able to do that,
- 51:36Speaker 4: and I'm looking around and I'm seeing the cameras and
- 51:38Speaker 4: like the walls are closing in, like someone's going to
- 51:41Speaker 4: want me to start talking about yeah.
- 51:46Speaker 2: Yeah, But because I feel like Macy is also there,
- 51:50Speaker 2: but is handling it in a much more asshole way.
- 51:54Speaker 2: Oh my god, because it's like she is like feeling
- 52:00Speaker 2: any vulnerability get away from me.
- 52:03Speaker 3: I do not want to deal with it. And then
- 52:04Speaker 3: she's kind.
- 52:05Speaker 2: Of mean about it, and like, you're a grown woman,
- 52:08Speaker 2: learn how to like express your feelings and your emotions.
- 52:13Speaker 2: You don't have to take it out on everyone around
- 52:16Speaker 2: you because you don't want to get deep or vulnerable.
- 52:20Speaker 4: I mean, I don't think she got the memo. I
- 52:23Speaker 4: think she got, you know, she thought it was a
- 52:26Speaker 4: paycheck and she had some time off, you know, but
- 52:29Speaker 4: I don't think that she got the memo that she
- 52:31Speaker 4: was going to have to come with these emotions. So
- 52:35Speaker 4: I did I did die one of the funniest things.
- 52:39Speaker 4: And again King chat you know he oh yeah, when
- 52:45Speaker 4: he was discussing Macie Gray and this guy Tyler are
- 52:51Speaker 4: you know, He's trying to get open and she's shutting
- 52:54Speaker 4: him down because she wants to play. Uno was winning,
- 52:58Speaker 4: so like she was winning. She was like, let's just
- 53:02Speaker 4: get on with you know, and and then he was like, listen,
- 53:08Speaker 4: I like you. I brought you soup, which was a
- 53:11Speaker 4: real trigger for her because she just got you're trying
- 53:14Speaker 4: to own me with this soup. And when chet Hanks did,
- 53:19Speaker 4: he sort of got in there and navigated it for
- 53:22Speaker 4: her and he was like, then to testimonially, he goes,
- 53:28Speaker 4: she thought she had to give up jeep truths in
- 53:33Speaker 4: exchange for soup.
- 53:43Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 53:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 53:45Speaker 1: That She was like, yeah, he has obviously done some
- 53:53Speaker 1: therapy in his life because he was able to a
- 53:56Speaker 1: couple times be able to dig down and like, so,
- 53:58Speaker 1: what is it that's making you feel this way?
- 54:01Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 54:02Speaker 2: It was. That was real fun.
- 54:04Speaker 1: That was really funny, and may just really just kind
- 54:08Speaker 1: of leaning into the fact and being very open about
- 54:10Speaker 1: like with the meditation thing and everything else, like I
- 54:13Speaker 1: don't do hippie shit. I do cocaine and I do shots,
- 54:16Speaker 1: and she's like, she's on such an ozembic journey right
- 54:21Speaker 1: now that she can't even her head isn't right because
- 54:24Speaker 1: she's in so much pain and suffering that and physically
- 54:28Speaker 1: that she can't even participate the way.
- 54:31Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, and that like that happened to my cousin,
- 54:37Speaker 2: Like who who needs She doesn't take ozemic. She takes
- 54:41Speaker 2: a different magnetide whatever. It is, a different version of it.
- 54:45Speaker 2: But this was like a year or two ago when
- 54:48Speaker 2: it kind of the craze started and everybody was like
- 54:51Speaker 2: getting it, and so there wasn't her medication wasn't available
- 54:55Speaker 2: for her, so where doctor had to switch her to
- 54:57Speaker 2: a different one. And she said she was like, I
- 55:01Speaker 2: woke up in the middle of the night. I thought
- 55:03Speaker 2: my stomach was literally going to explode. I thought it
- 55:05Speaker 2: was having a heart attack. I was like, I need
- 55:09Speaker 2: to go to the er. So she went and got
- 55:11Speaker 2: in contact with her doctor and he was like, this
- 55:13Speaker 2: is the side effect of this different diabetes medication that
- 55:18Speaker 2: you're taking. So it's like, I just don't I mean,
- 55:24Speaker 2: obviously I see the appeal of like easy weight loss,
- 55:27Speaker 2: but then when you weigh that against these side effects
- 55:30Speaker 2: that people are.
- 55:30Speaker 3: Having, right, what would ever want to risk it?
- 55:33Speaker 1: Like, yeah, I have horrible side effects like that, then
- 55:37Speaker 1: I would say get off of it.
- 55:39Speaker 2: I mean the doctor was like, your pancreas can fail,
- 55:43Speaker 2: Like that is not bad. I'm serious, Yeah, she's but
- 55:49Speaker 2: it's it's also so funny that she's like, I really
- 55:51Speaker 2: want to try my hardest, but with literally almost everything
- 55:54Speaker 2: she's done, she's like, I'm not doing that, Like we're
- 55:56Speaker 2: going to climb up this mountain, I'm not doing that.
- 55:58Speaker 1: Well, I don't think she should. That mountain was insane.
- 56:02Speaker 3: If you want to lose weight.
- 56:07Speaker 1: I mean, I just I mean, well, while she's taking
- 56:10Speaker 1: this ozepic, I don't think she would have the strength
- 56:12Speaker 1: to do it. I think that would be a crisis
- 56:15Speaker 1: waiting to happen. I mean, if she could barely walk
- 56:19Speaker 1: around like she's sounds like she hasn't pooped in a
- 56:22Speaker 1: long time. Oh yeah, I forget, And it sounds like
- 56:26Speaker 1: she is well, she couldn't even like in her confessional, right,
- 56:32Speaker 1: she was like doubled over and she couldn't. Then that's
- 56:34Speaker 1: when she went to the hospital.
- 56:36Speaker 2: Well, also she like hasn't been she's like not able
- 56:38Speaker 2: to eat like chets and pression of her.
- 56:42Speaker 3: I'm not hungry.
- 56:44Speaker 2: I'm not hungry. That was a very good impression. But
- 56:47Speaker 2: she hasn't been eating.
- 56:50Speaker 1: They are we're chest.
- 56:52Speaker 2: We love chest, you do.
- 56:56Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 56:57Speaker 2: Country song, Come on gorgeous.
- 57:00Speaker 4: That was a great song and he sounded beautiful.
- 57:03Speaker 3: I just say I did like that.
- 57:06Speaker 4: Paget was a piece of ship.
- 57:07Speaker 1: It was that awful.
- 57:11Speaker 2: Wait, I thought it was hilarious when we they found
- 57:15Speaker 2: out about the pageant first of all, and the queen
- 57:17Speaker 2: was like, it's an inner beauty pageant and they cut.
- 57:19Speaker 3: It's a cut to Kim and she's.
- 57:21Speaker 1: Like, yeah, inter beauty, Hello, she's.
- 57:26Speaker 3: All about outer beauty, Like it's just it.
- 57:29Speaker 1: What like remember Crappy leg when Sonya and Land put
- 57:32Speaker 1: on that incredible talent show, Like that's what we're going
- 57:35Speaker 1: up against. We're comparing you to that. This was an abomination.
- 57:39Speaker 2: They also had.
- 57:40Speaker 3: Like less than like twelve hours.
- 57:42Speaker 4: I don't care then, so what?
- 57:43Speaker 3: And then Macie.
- 57:44Speaker 2: Came in and ruined everything because she wasn't even there
- 57:47Speaker 2: when they first discussed it.
- 57:48Speaker 1: Right, I'm like, sit down, you weren't there for the planning,
- 57:51Speaker 1: you know, like you can't.
- 57:54Speaker 3: On everything that they're doing, so like.
- 57:56Speaker 1: What, okay, Deanna you I had a real hard time
- 58:01Speaker 1: with that talent show. I mean because it was a
- 58:02Speaker 1: full house and they had judges and I'm like thinking,
- 58:05Speaker 1: this is not you put all this together and then
- 58:07Speaker 1: you're gonna do what here.
- 58:10Speaker 4: It was a shit show.
- 58:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 58:12Speaker 4: I would kept like screaming take them back to the house,
- 58:15Speaker 4: like they're not. But I it wasn't the people of
- 58:19Speaker 4: the Surreal Light House that really fell apart. It just
- 58:22Speaker 4: the conceit of it was horrible. They all came out
- 58:26Speaker 4: and said nothing. You know, it should have been just
- 58:31Speaker 4: the pure talent, like go out saying, do a little
- 58:37Speaker 4: dance and get off. Everyone got a participation award. It
- 58:42Speaker 4: was just horrible.
- 58:43Speaker 1: It was shot a tie a tie for mister whatever.
- 58:48Speaker 1: It was Surreal Life. Yeah, awful, made zero sense.
- 58:54Speaker 4: The whole thing was a mess.
- 58:56Speaker 2: It was a total show.
- 58:59Speaker 1: Very cherry pointing. I will say I loved how Arianna
- 59:03Speaker 1: like Kim facetimes. Ariana her her daughter and she's like, yeah,
- 59:07Speaker 1: I don't know who this guy who's chit And she's like,
- 59:10Speaker 1: oh my gosh, mom chat Hanks. She's like, no, not him,
- 59:14Speaker 1: and then they right I love that, But also that
- 59:19Speaker 1: when they came in and Kim wanted Chet's room, and
- 59:23Speaker 1: Johnny was like, oh shit, I don't want to stir
- 59:26Speaker 1: up drama, but like here we are, Kim's leading the
- 59:28Speaker 1: way and Chet managed to just he was kind while
- 59:33Speaker 1: he was kind of kind until he said in his
- 59:35Speaker 1: confessional I will be respectful to my elders. Yeah, but
- 59:39Speaker 1: fair enough to give him give a little bit of
- 59:41Speaker 1: a dig. But you know it's Chet Hanks, Like you're
- 59:44Speaker 1: gonna ask Chet Hanks, like it can I have this room?
- 59:47Speaker 1: Which I kind of liked because she didn't know who
- 59:49Speaker 1: he was, so and if he wants to be treated
- 59:52Speaker 1: like everybody, then that's good.
- 59:54Speaker 2: And I'm sure he kind of liked that too, because
- 59:56Speaker 2: she wasn't like Hanks right. It was first of all
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: a little bit of his dad coming through that nice like, great,
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: you can have it. It's fine. I'm not going to
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: cause like a big whatever. This is not super important.
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: It's a stupid room. But also when he was like
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: respectful of your elders. In his confessional where he's talking
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: about flirting with Kim, He's like, it's just fun, Like
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: I love like kicking it with her. You know, chopping
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: it up whatever. And he's like, I'm not taking it seriously.
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: And then they were like do you think she is?
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: Who's like, I don't really remember what he said, but
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: it was kind of like, oh, because I feel like
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: she might be taking it a little more seriously even
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: though she's like going through a divorce or she's not
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: even really going through a divorce at this point. She
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: just was like, when I get home, I'm getting a divorce.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: Yeah, and then she said that yet yeah.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: She said it in the very first episode. Oh, but
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: then she also said in the episode she was like,
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: I'm like, we're still fucking.
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: Oh yeah they are. Yeah, I remember going through because
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: we were going reporting like all the Kim and Kory
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: news and yeah, they had the whole article out where
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: they're still like together in that way.
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: Don't you have to like.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: Speak separate for an amount of time, like you cannot
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: sleep together?
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: They were kind of who can, Like, why is that
- 1:01:23Speaker 4: anyone's business?
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: Yeah, that should be a law. I don't, but I remember,
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: I don't.
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: I don't remember.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: That's like in a certain state, that's a that might
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: be like a Utah thing, that's a Utah thing.
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: No, I think it was like a Tennessee thing because.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: I want to say, I want to say, maybe came
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: up on the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. But okay,
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: we'll figure it out on the back end of things.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: But you're right, you're not allowed to like sleep with
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: each other if you filed for separation, right, So it
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: is somewhere.
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: Yeah, But I just I'm I'm really ready to see
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: how they, uh, what happens, because you know they reality
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: shows love to tease certain things and you're like, oh
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: my god, I can't believe that's gonna happen, and then
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: you see what it really is and you're like, that's
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: that's nothing like what they teased it to be, right, right,
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: you know what I mean?
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: Like with Chat and Kim, Yeah, like I wonder if
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: it really is because she's like.
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: Come to my room for a moment and he's like, yeah,
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: let me go get that thing right.
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: I don't know how it's not going to happen. I mean,
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: I mean, it's on, and it's on, I.
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: Hope so on.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: The meditations on it does feel the meditation thing was
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: wild with all that breathing. That's a real thing on
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: reality because now we've seen it in different areas, you know,
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: with the breathing and that crazy Tom sandevial since situation
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: where he was breathing really heavy streaming, but wild to
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: see that Kim was crying, that was an unusual sighting.
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, she she got real vulnerable in there, like. Yeah.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: Also, one of the things that I thought was one
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: of the most poignant things in these three episodes was
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: I believe it was the third one. No, it was
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: the second one when Macy realized the perspective of being
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: a celebrity kid through the eyes of Chet and was
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: able to have more empathy toward her own son, which
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: was an awakening for her and and kind of amazing. Yes, Macy, Yeah.
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: It was. That was really sweet and very like cool
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: to see her kind.
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: Of like put it all together, like holy shit.
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: Yeah wow. Yeah, because who know, Like I don't know,
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: Like I feel like maybe at a certain age, if
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: I had kids and I was that famous, I feel
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: like maybe I would be kind of cognizant of that.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: Like I mean, I don't know, I don't know.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: When you become famous so young and then you have
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: your kids, you're kind of just like on that ride
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: and you don't see the forest through the trees. I mean,
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: it's just when they go on that boat. Poor Johnny weird,
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: oh terrified.
- 1:04:28Speaker 4: Like you literally your whole career was.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: On water, you know, frozen water, but still water.
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: That wasn't he does not like he does not like
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: wild bodies of water.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: Moving water.
- 1:04:44Speaker 4: No, no, no, it was extreme. I mean they're on a
- 1:04:49Speaker 4: lazy river boat. You know, it was melting down.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: He did it did seem like he did calm down
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: and was like. Kim was like, Johnny, okay, okay, we
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: need wine, Johnny, we need one.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: I love it. Kim is the first person to sit
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: it out with a person just by default of not
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: wanting to be a part of that, like climbing that monstrosity.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: Macy's like, no, please go, like please go, Like I
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: actually don't want to be with you. You know, you
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: don't understand, Like I'm trying to not go.
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: You know.
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: It was so funny, but which I was like, okay.
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: Yeah, she definitely didn't want to spend her special time
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: with Kim. Macy was like, I definitely don't want to
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: do this, and Kim was like, and I definitely don't
- 1:05:39Speaker 4: want to do that. I was like, well, I don't
- 1:05:41Speaker 4: know where, Yeah, land.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: Do whatever you don't want to do, but over there because.
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: Over there, or I'm gonna hang out with the sound guy. Yeah.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: And then of course with like Johnny Weir, she was like,
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: we're gonna go over here. You know, she had his back,
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: and I'm just like, you just want to leave any
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: chance you get.
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: I feel like she was she was like, uh, maybe
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: I got confused, but I thought she was like, we're
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: gonna sit over here, kind of like we're going to
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: sit this one out.
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: But then they didn't.
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: Johnny Johnny said he's a team player. Yeah.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: And also really quick, I love this little kind of
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: romance that's happening between Tyler and Ot Jennison, Like I think.
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: It's so cute.
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: I don't know what it is, but it's just like
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: completely opposite, Like you would never think like, oh, yeah,
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: they're they're they totally hang out there, totally bros. But
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: it's adorable to see in this house, this little relationship
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: that they're forming.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: It's very cute.
- 1:06:44Speaker 4: Can I ask you a quick question, guys, and this
- 1:06:47Speaker 4: is a is a big one. There's a big takeaway.
- 1:06:49Speaker 4: Three episodes out of the Surreal Life, Why is Tyler's
- 1:06:57Speaker 4: head permanently cocked to the side.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Oh because hair, because the hair is pulling it down.
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: It's highway. Great question.
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: But now I never really noticed, but now I will.
- 1:07:11Speaker 4: I will wait. It's literally never on. It's to the
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: side the entire show. There's not at leaving.
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: At a stiff neck flying there. I don't know that's weird.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: I will say, it's his thing.
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: One of my your friends from college. In every single picture,
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: and I am not exaggerating, she's like this, and it's
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: like and she was not aware of it until our
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: other we were like, well, so why do you like
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: every time like she'll just be standing and I'll be
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: like one, two three.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: And she cocks her head to the side, and she
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: cocks her.
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: Head and she's like, I never like she never realized
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: that she even did it right.
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: But he's always like that, she said, like, not justin confound,
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: you're saying hanging around the.
- 1:08:01Speaker 4: Villain walking the girl who said you know she's having
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: a panic attack. He's cocked and making his way like,
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: let's go to the grass maybe show Maybe.
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: It's like Aby says, his hair like if it's if
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: it's hair is like this, He's.
- 1:08:15Speaker 4: Like there's there's it's hair related. It's part of It's
- 1:08:20Speaker 4: like I'm an emo type of gentleman, and I have
- 1:08:24Speaker 4: a deep swoop yea and the deep swoop my head
- 1:08:29Speaker 4: and if it's cocked at all times, I always look
- 1:08:32Speaker 4: engaged and interested. But it is doesned like I'm like interesting,
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: I need to just see it straightened out here.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: Yeah, now it's gonna bother me because I can assure you.
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: I'm sorry, No, it's okay, it's fine. I don't know
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: who he was. I mean, I had no idea, did
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: you guys know? Okay, well, it's fascinating to learn that
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: he played a werewolf.
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: But then when he did talk about him getting bashed
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: for queer baiting or whatever, yeah, yeah, kind of remember,
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: oh you do articles. But I still was like, I
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: never watched Team Wolf on MTV, which he I think
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: that was like his major thing that he Oh so it.
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: Was teen Wolf. Oh okay, gotcha. Wow that's a big deal. Yeah,
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: all right.
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: He's kind of a big deal.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: Well yeah, I mean I'm seeing that now, I'm seeing
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: that now. Well, we're all chat heads, and as we
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: wrap this up, you guys, you know, we'll touch down
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: on this another time. I'm excited to be you know,
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: in this villa. Why they they've never had a parenthetical before, right,
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: is this the first year where they've had like a
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: subtitle Villa of Secrets.
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: Yes, that's weird and hard.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: To find, hard to find? How to watch this was
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: very difficult? Really, Yes, Deanna, what did you end up doing?
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: How did you watch it?
- 1:09:50Speaker 4: Listen? You know, Amy sent up a flair yesterday, just
- 1:09:54Speaker 4: like you may think you're just going to be watching
- 1:09:57Speaker 4: the Surreal Life, but it's not as easy as it looks.
- 1:10:00Speaker 4: And so I made my way, made my way down
- 1:10:03Speaker 4: to the television and you know, did a search on Spectrum.
- 1:10:09Speaker 4: I put the Surreal Life in and there it was.
- 1:10:13Speaker 4: I watched it right from this, right from there, put
- 1:10:17Speaker 4: it on my watch list and got it got in.
- 1:10:19Speaker 4: So it was that part was pretty easy on my end.
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: You know what's crazy? Okay, I'm so glad what's crazy?
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: And I know Angela you watch it on YouTube live
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: YouTube TV, so for me that is yeah, oh that's right,
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: Deanna did if I didn't get back to you on that,
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: because I sent Deanna a text that said Angela watches
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: it on YouTube TV, to which Deanna responded, I don't
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: know what that is. So that's fine. It's like you
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: have to have a subscription and you can watch every day.
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: It's literally like cable like it's just.
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: Or like Apple TV.
- 1:11:00Speaker 4: Is it YouTube you have?
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: I have. It's like live TV. No, it's separate from
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: YouTube it. It's never heard of YouTube TV.
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: I could show you the interface.
- 1:11:11Speaker 4: You it's you scroll through your.
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: Channels, you add your favorite channels, you can you can
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: in the channel lineup. You can adjust which channels you
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: want at the top and the bottom. It's unlimited recording space.
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: Yeah, we're listening.
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: I like it.
- 1:11:29Speaker 4: It's scary.
- 1:11:31Speaker 3: It's pretty great.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: So I have a spectrum and I put on my
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: kitchen TV and I went to MTV two days ago,
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: scrolled forward to see when it would be on. Saw
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: that the Surreal Life Villa of Secrets was going to
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: be on at a certain time, and I pressed record
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: for this episode three. Then I as I looked, I
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: put info and I looked and saw like details browse episodes,
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: and what pulled up was like nine episodes available to watch.
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: There were three from this season and a couple from
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: another season. So I was like, great, I can watch it.
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: On like on demand.
- 1:12:16Speaker 4: So then yeah, this then is where I'm curious. This
- 1:12:20Speaker 4: is where the rubber really is gonna Okay.
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: So then I went into the living room and my
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: bedroom because we have TV's in both of those areas, okay,
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: and I pray in yeah, I know, just kidding. We
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: always have a lot of We've had them forever. So
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: then your ears to my TVs. So then I look
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: up the Surreal Life search it on Spectrum on the
