- 0:03Speaker 1: Enough is enough.

- 0:09Speaker 2: world ransom for.
- 0:11Speaker 3: Excuse me while I whipped this out.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Broadcasting Live and Atlanta, George.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Jou This this is the Sports Shot Show.
- 0:21Speaker 1: With Wayne Gandy. You may began, I'm ganging again.
- 0:27Speaker 3: Show freak comes so comes, it comes along.
- 0:33Speaker 4: Isn't just.
- 0:38Speaker 1: I'm a doing Yeah, I'm gonna go on the way
- 0:40Speaker 1: you made Bill Vegan. Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. I'm listening to
- 0:47Speaker 1: the Sport Shock Show. I'm the Sport Shock Wing Gandy,
- 0:50Speaker 1: Good morning to you. We are getting to the end
- 0:54Speaker 1: of January. We are rolling into NFL Conference. We in
- 1:00Speaker 1: only two games this Sunday, as the Commanders and the
- 1:06Speaker 1: Eagles do battle for the third time this year. Remember
- 1:10Speaker 1: they are conference division rivals and on the other side
- 1:15Speaker 1: two teams that have battled in the playoffs here for
- 1:19Speaker 1: the last couple of years. Will this be the year
- 1:22Speaker 1: at the Buffalo Bills Bills Mafia take in the Chiefs.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Everybody seems to be mad at the Chiefs. Lil Wayne
- 1:31Speaker 1: Big Kenny Man, Chief Gray, the whole the whole world
- 1:34Speaker 1: seem to be mad at the Chiefs because they say
- 1:38Speaker 1: the Chief cheating chiefs, chiefs, he lot the chief cheating chief,
- 1:42Speaker 1: cheating chief ch chief chiefs chief chiefs cheat chiefs, cheating chiefs, cheating.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Chief be cheating chief cheatingsund like Uncle Luke's track chief Chiefs.
- 1:57Speaker 1: But Kansas City is starting to fall under that same gun.
- 2:05Speaker 1: As you would say that teams like Duke san Antonio
- 2:10Speaker 1: spurs the Patriots winning teams. Winning teams, you can become
- 2:15Speaker 1: the enemy if you win too long. It seems like
- 2:22Speaker 1: people will start calling everything and that I'm not questioning
- 2:25Speaker 1: some of the calls. There were a couple of calls
- 2:29Speaker 1: that I thought should have been retracted, But you can't
- 2:32Speaker 1: retract flags in a personal foul nature. Even Patrick Mahomes
- 2:39Speaker 1: said one of them he flopped on. But hey, that's
- 2:43Speaker 1: kind of within the rules. You're tryingship, little gamesmanship. You
- 2:48Speaker 1: see it all the time where guys act like the
- 2:50Speaker 1: other guy pushed them so hard, trying to draw the
- 2:53Speaker 1: eyes of the referees, the officials to make calls. So
- 2:58Speaker 1: but we should have two exciting games games. The super
- 3:01Speaker 1: Bowl is February ninth in New Orleans. Who experienced some
- 3:06Speaker 1: snow over the last couple of days. A couple of
- 3:09Speaker 1: friends of mine sending me pictures that it was snowing
- 3:14Speaker 1: on Bourbon Street out there throwing snowballs, and we talked
- 3:19Speaker 1: about that. On Monday, Arctic blast sent snow to New
- 3:24Speaker 1: Orleans all the way down to Houston in some areas.
- 3:28Speaker 1: So here in Atlanta, as you know, if you don't know,
- 3:32Speaker 1: we are overreact city when it comes to winter weather.
- 3:36Speaker 1: We overreact to the extreme. We actually prove why writers
- 3:43Speaker 1: write those world coming to an End movies the way
- 3:47Speaker 1: they do. That's Atlanta. You tell them anything, all the
- 3:52Speaker 1: roads are going to get blocked. People eat their cars,
- 3:55Speaker 1: they buy all the food and hoard everything. They're not
- 4:00Speaker 1: if you you can see if you ever watched them
- 4:05Speaker 1: Poplar lip Kick movies, what are they like twenty eight
- 4:09Speaker 1: days and day after tomorrow?
- 4:13Speaker 3: And it's not panic sports Jacket Landing's call it an
- 4:17Speaker 3: over abundance of caution of what just you know, it
- 4:23Speaker 3: gets cold, and when it gets cold, of course you'll
- 4:26Speaker 3: need like nine gallons of milk and fourteen some bread.
- 4:30Speaker 1: For thirty six hours. It makes sense, and that's how
- 4:35Speaker 1: we are. Then you went outside like it's some kind
- 4:38Speaker 1: of over that movie. Well, you can't talk quiet place.
- 4:45Speaker 1: They get like that around here. You drive around and
- 4:48Speaker 1: it's like people really won't come outside. They like it's
- 4:52Speaker 1: gonna they're gonna die if they get any of that
- 4:55Speaker 1: little thirty degree temperature. And I'm like riding around thinking
- 4:59Speaker 1: why in the place I took my trash to the curb.
- 5:03Speaker 3: And you should have seen the way my neighbors were
- 5:05Speaker 3: looking out the window at me, like I was in
- 5:07Speaker 3: danger in other people's lives, but I want my trash.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Like they were.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Looking at me, like you really expect those people to
- 5:12Speaker 3: come and it's trash day, Like don't they come on
- 5:16Speaker 3: the day it's supposed to.
- 5:18Speaker 1: It's just like you know, you know, And they were like, oh,
- 5:20Speaker 1: you have no consist the well be yesterday's temperature was
- 5:26Speaker 1: just a regular day in most northern cities. There's nothing
- 5:30Speaker 1: special about it. Ohio State won the national championship Monday,
- 5:38Speaker 1: beating Notre Dame. Got up early. Notre Dame could not
- 5:43Speaker 1: come back. Head coach did not do what I wanted.
- 5:48Speaker 1: I wanted him to Ryan Day. I wanted him to
- 5:52Speaker 1: just pull his pants down and been over and be
- 5:57Speaker 1: like now now what now to all his own fans.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Take this. Take the same fans that wanted to fire
- 6:05Speaker 1: him when he lost to Michigan. Now he has the
- 6:09Speaker 1: national title, taking it back to Ohio in a dominant
- 6:15Speaker 1: playoff run, really controlling all the games that they played
- 6:19Speaker 1: in if the best of them showed up. I kept
- 6:22Speaker 1: telling my friends that if the best of Ohio State
- 6:25Speaker 1: shows up, I haven't seen a better team. So the
- 6:27Speaker 1: only way to beat them is to catch them hoping
- 6:30Speaker 1: they are not on their game tonight. That's not the case. No,
- 6:34Speaker 1: the Dame got beat, tried to fight back, but you
- 6:38Speaker 1: could get that feel that once they went up twenty
- 6:40Speaker 1: four points, they were just trying to get the clock
- 6:43Speaker 1: the movie and I get the game over. But finally
- 6:48Speaker 1: college football season is over. Sports shock now there.
- 6:52Speaker 3: You did not get your wish that he would pull
- 6:55Speaker 3: his pants down and say, you know, some choice words
- 6:59Speaker 3: and then off and retire, just quit the job. So
- 7:03Speaker 3: since he didn't do that shit, he go back and
- 7:05Speaker 3: just overcharge him for what they did to the cold Crush.
- 7:08Speaker 3: I'm saying, should he just go and just tax some
- 7:11Speaker 3: till you know? No, I don't like this eighty five
- 7:15Speaker 3: thousand square foot home. I want the one next to it,
- 7:20Speaker 3: So get me that one, and I ain't got all
- 7:23Speaker 3: day to Wait, do you think he's just gonna make
- 7:26Speaker 3: it hard on them now or is this a bunch
- 7:29Speaker 3: of every day we come see you, somebody has to
- 7:31Speaker 3: start off with an apology.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Hey, good morning, start and listen. We're really sorry about
- 7:36Speaker 1: that thing with Michigan time. But how you doing. I
- 7:38Speaker 1: think this puts coaches in that feeling of listening to
- 7:43Speaker 1: other opportunities. Oh, I think that's what you can create.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Most people were like, this is the person right appreciate
- 7:51Speaker 1: You're not showing me appreciation, because that's what it starts becoming.
- 7:55Speaker 1: The money is what the money's gonna be. Right, The
- 7:57Speaker 1: next school basically got to offer you the right, so
- 8:02Speaker 1: that becomes at some point that just becomes the norm. Right,
- 8:06Speaker 1: Then it becomes about appreciate how you appreciate. I'll go
- 8:10Speaker 1: see how these people out in at Stanford feel about me.
- 8:15Speaker 3: I'll go see how people down in Texas are out
- 8:18Speaker 3: in Oregon somewhere.
- 8:19Speaker 1: I think that's what you can create by handling a
- 8:23Speaker 1: coach like that Comanche. This idea that I'm not valued
- 8:31Speaker 1: is not money all the time. It's in some people something.
- 8:35Speaker 1: When you're not getting the money, you might feel undervalued.
- 8:38Speaker 1: But when you get the money. There's the other particulars,
- 8:41Speaker 1: like people having your back right support that you get
- 8:44Speaker 1: that when you know me better than that.
- 8:48Speaker 3: I think it's interesting in the post game coverage the
- 8:50Speaker 3: next morning, the quarterback from Ohio State's doing press and
- 8:54Speaker 3: he said, we really wanted this because we had a
- 9:00Speaker 3: off season, like when we lost to that team from
- 9:04Speaker 3: up north, is how he referred to it. So it's
- 9:07Speaker 3: not just something that reflected on the coach, but they
- 9:12Speaker 3: were treating the entire team as if somehow they had
- 9:16Speaker 3: let down an entire state by losing that game, and
- 9:21Speaker 3: a lot of people think it fueled them to the
- 9:23Speaker 3: national championship. But as as a coach, I think I
- 9:26Speaker 3: would probably I don't know, do you do you walk away?
- 9:30Speaker 5: Do you?
- 9:30Speaker 1: Because it's attainted relationship now right well, I don't know
- 9:35Speaker 1: how tainted it is as much as like I'm saying,
- 9:37Speaker 1: you start somewhere you thought you were going to forever
- 9:41Speaker 1: be you have down the side different other people can
- 9:46Speaker 1: now make that call and you used to send them
- 9:50Speaker 1: right to voicemail. Now you're at least in listening to
- 9:54Speaker 1: their voicemail because some calls you get, you don't you
- 9:57Speaker 1: don't you raised the number. When you get those, tell them, yeah,
- 10:00Speaker 1: you deleted to me, don't even hear what they got
- 10:03Speaker 1: to say. You erase every number that came through and
- 10:07Speaker 1: the message that they left. Now at least start listening
- 10:11Speaker 1: to Hey, Ryan, what you have to say? Man, we
- 10:15Speaker 1: think you ought you deserve better than that. Called me
- 10:19Speaker 1: President Trump installed. Since we last was on air. Did
- 10:24Speaker 1: your community blow up? Which community I'm part of? Several? None,
- 10:31Speaker 1: none of them blew your community blow up? Come in.
- 10:34Speaker 6: I think the focus isn't even on him right now.
- 10:37Speaker 6: Surprisingly he may be upset about that, but more people
- 10:42Speaker 6: are talking about what is and is it a Nazi
- 10:48Speaker 6: salute with m hm you look see who's actually doing this.
- 10:55Speaker 6: So it's been a lot of that.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Do you think that as anything? Do you think people
- 11:00Speaker 1: just have decided they want Elon must to be a Nazi?
- 11:06Speaker 1: Do they want him to be that?
- 11:10Speaker 7: Well?
- 11:10Speaker 1: What, I don't know, because what would it do? I
- 11:13Speaker 1: guess that's that's my if he If he is okay?
- 11:17Speaker 4: Are you.
- 11:19Speaker 1: In sports like a Lebron James? People watch Lebron James
- 11:24Speaker 1: to see his failure right just as much as they
- 11:29Speaker 1: some fans look to see him hit the shot they
- 11:32Speaker 1: wanted to come down to the end and him to
- 11:36Speaker 1: miss the shot so they can validate something. No matter
- 11:41Speaker 1: how Elon must move. If it looked like it was
- 11:45Speaker 1: going in the direction, You've decided that it's a Nazi salute, right,
- 11:54Speaker 1: I saw the I saw the video.
- 11:56Speaker 3: When the last time you saw a Nazi salute not
- 11:59Speaker 3: on the on a TV show, I don't recall, And
- 12:09Speaker 3: I've never seen a Nazi salute outside of a TV show,
- 12:12Speaker 3: outside of some sort of historical reference.
- 12:16Speaker 1: But I don't know. It seems like.
- 12:23Speaker 3: I thought it was interesting with the Nazi salute thing.
- 12:26Speaker 3: Not only are people looking for things, but now in
- 12:30Speaker 3: this case, it seems like they're trying not to see it.
- 12:33Speaker 3: You feel me like they a lot of people are
- 12:35Speaker 3: explaining in a way, is he's just an awkward guy
- 12:38Speaker 3: and does awkward stuff.
- 12:40Speaker 1: We'll be back with more to Sports Shock Show right
- 12:42Speaker 1: after this.
- 12:49Speaker 8: Y'all.
- 12:50Speaker 9: Y'all Lord Generation fast paced and they shid world population confront.
- 12:54Speaker 3: They frustrated the principles of shoe hip hop have been forsaken.

- 14:32Speaker 1: Welcome mile in my shoes.
- 14:36Speaker 12: I never realized that I'd be taking care of a
- 14:40Speaker 12: two year old and a nine year old on my own.
- 14:42Speaker 12: I think men can be a little stubborn sometimes, where
- 14:45Speaker 12: pride gets in the way and they may want the help,
- 14:48Speaker 12: they may not know how to ask. With my traditions,
- 14:52Speaker 12: with the family support in line, and just with my
- 14:55Speaker 12: mind frame, I was able to turn a negative into
- 14:59Speaker 12: a positive. I knew I needed more tools on my
- 15:02Speaker 12: toolbox to take care of these little girls that just
- 15:05Speaker 12: lost their mother. It's time for me to be that
- 15:08Speaker 12: father that I knew I could be. I think just
- 15:10Speaker 12: being that good role model as well, that model's good
- 15:14Speaker 12: behavior in front of them, going to work every day,
- 15:17Speaker 12: coming home and being able to put on that smile
- 15:20Speaker 12: the biggest reward about being a dad is sitting back
- 15:23Speaker 12: and watching your kids be happy.
- 15:26Speaker 13: Never stop being a dad.
- 15:28Speaker 1: That's dedication.

- 15:32Speaker 13: by the US Department of Health and Human Services and
- 15:35Speaker 13: the AD Council.
- 15:39Speaker 1: And now back to the sports. John Wayne Gandy.
- 15:44Speaker 9: The Jock of the Day is sponsored by Mattress HEROESUSA
- 15:47Speaker 9: dot com. This sleep you deserve at a price you
- 15:50Speaker 9: can afford. No, no, no no, It's time to present
- 15:53Speaker 9: the Jock of the Day. All the sports jockshit just
- 15:56Speaker 9: taking it to a completely different level this year where
- 15:59Speaker 9: we highlight an accolete that has taken their game to
- 16:02Speaker 9: the next level.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Or sorry, welcome back to this one Shock show. I'm
- 16:40Speaker 1: the one shock wing game in the Miami Heat planing
- 16:44Speaker 1: on suspending Jimmy Butler two more games for a missed flight.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Just coming off of seven game suspension of of the
- 16:56Speaker 1: Miami Heat is Jimmy Butler. He was suspended and did
- 17:00Speaker 1: for basically verbage detrimental to the organization. Jimmy over thelized
- 17:12Speaker 1: couple of weeks, letting it be known he really wants
- 17:15Speaker 1: out of Miami. Now what's late for a flight? Will
- 17:20Speaker 1: be suspended two games and I guess basically, this story
- 17:24Speaker 1: of him being a heat player needs to start being
- 17:30Speaker 1: Jimmy Butler has been traded somewhere. Guys, in that where
- 17:36Speaker 1: we are now, we've real is there.
- 17:38Speaker 3: No option for fired. I got to send you somewhere.
- 17:42Speaker 3: I got to hold on to you until somebody else
- 17:44Speaker 3: come and replace you. I mean, because this is my thing.
- 17:47Speaker 3: I've never wanted anybody to be someplace they didn't want
- 17:50Speaker 3: to be. Don't be around me if you don't want
- 17:52Speaker 3: to be. Matter of fact, if you don't have guaranteed,
- 17:55Speaker 3: still get on away from me. Contract guaranteed, and I
- 17:59Speaker 3: get nothing out of it. I know, I know, And
- 18:02Speaker 3: what I'm saying is and for a business situation, I
- 18:07Speaker 3: understand that there are other considerations, but personally, for me,
- 18:12Speaker 3: there are things that.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Can let your personal bins.
- 18:15Speaker 3: Sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, But personally I don't want
- 18:18Speaker 3: you know where you don't want it. So you're going
- 18:20Speaker 3: to just pay me my fifty million and let you ride.
- 18:23Speaker 3: My peace of mind, my peace of mind is better
- 18:27Speaker 3: than dealing with you.
- 18:29Speaker 1: I mean, not about your peace of mind. It's about
- 18:32Speaker 1: the organization. Okay, So what do we have now?
- 18:36Speaker 3: We're paying you fifty million and you missing flights, you
- 18:38Speaker 3: ain't on the court, We're not even getting it.
- 18:40Speaker 1: You might as well be gone. In these suspensions, there's
- 18:44Speaker 1: a certain amount, if not all, the money I can
- 18:48Speaker 1: not have to pay you. You're giving me reasons to
- 18:50Speaker 1: suspend you for games that I wouldn't have to pay
- 18:53Speaker 1: you for. Well, in that case, if I'm not paying you,
- 19:00Speaker 1: then maybe I'm trying to get something.
- 19:02Speaker 3: Yeah, but if you make this flight, I have to
- 19:04Speaker 3: pay you well, and then you'd have to play too correct.
- 19:10Speaker 1: If you wanted me to play yes, right right, So
- 19:14Speaker 1: I'm just saying you you can't let your personal blind you.
- 19:19Speaker 1: And a lot of teams have found themselves in this
- 19:21Speaker 1: situation over the years. Some guys force it that I'm
- 19:23Speaker 1: not going to re sign next year and they want
- 19:26Speaker 1: out now to go certain places. We've seen this with
- 19:30Speaker 1: Kevin Durant, we saw it with Kyrie Irving. So right
- 19:35Speaker 1: now it has just reached the point, I think because
- 19:37Speaker 1: the two teams, the Miami Heat and the Jimmy Butler
- 19:40Speaker 1: vibe was so coexistent that it's kind of hard because
- 19:45Speaker 1: it seemed like they both it was a great marriage.
- 19:48Speaker 1: But now the Heat seems to be only in the
- 19:50Speaker 1: position and they have said they would trade him, but
- 19:53Speaker 1: it would have to be of some value in the trade.
- 19:59Speaker 3: And uh and I understand all of that. I just
- 20:03Speaker 3: I just to me some things. When you add what
- 20:08Speaker 3: they truly cost for me, it's not worth it.
- 20:11Speaker 1: But that's not in business. I'm still you. Still you
- 20:14Speaker 1: got to run it as pat Riley the businessman.
- 20:19Speaker 3: My point again is Jimmy Butler, we owe him fifty
- 20:23Speaker 3: million dollars, so if him not playing means that we
- 20:27Speaker 3: don't have to pay him certain amount of games. At
- 20:30Speaker 3: this point, as a businessman, you can just stay home. Jimmy,
- 20:35Speaker 3: you suspend it indefinitely. We don't need this part of it.
- 20:40Speaker 1: I'm saying, you can't suspend me, and there would be
- 20:43Speaker 1: a union union. Okay, well, we gonna suspend you for
- 20:47Speaker 1: as long as we can. No, you can't. You can't
- 20:51Speaker 1: suspend me without a reason. You have. He would have
- 20:56Speaker 1: to keep missing a flight or saying something to the media.
- 20:59Speaker 1: You can just walking a room and suspend me. You
- 21:02Speaker 1: can walk in a room and not play me. But
- 21:05Speaker 1: if I show up on time.
- 21:07Speaker 6: And I got to get paid, so right, Okay, It's
- 21:11Speaker 6: what pat Rally is caught up in. He's a guy
- 21:15Speaker 6: who's historically does not want a tank. He may have
- 21:18Speaker 6: a team that's middle of the road, but he does
- 21:20Speaker 6: not want a tank. So he's not going to blow
- 21:23Speaker 6: up a team, you know, and then do a rebuild
- 21:26Speaker 6: that takes three or four years. He's still he's trying
- 21:28Speaker 6: to win every time. So he's caught up in trying
- 21:31Speaker 6: to find the right deal to where they can still
- 21:35Speaker 6: move forward with trying with trying to win. But that
- 21:40Speaker 6: deal may not be out there because what market is
- 21:42Speaker 6: there for Jimmy Butler. And that's what he's caught up in.
- 21:45Speaker 3: And now, honestly believe that everything that pat Riley and
- 21:47Speaker 3: the Miami he did going through right now and the
- 21:50Speaker 3: NBA goes through with these athletes has been coming. And
- 21:54Speaker 3: I've been saying this for many years, is that the
- 21:58Speaker 3: individual now has too much power over the organization when
- 22:04Speaker 3: it comes to them acting in their personal ways. I mean,
- 22:08Speaker 3: because a lot of this is Jimmy Butler's personal feelings
- 22:11Speaker 3: about where he is and how it's going.
- 22:13Speaker 6: That's all he has, though he doesn't have any real
- 22:16Speaker 6: leverage in the situation. So the only thing he can
- 22:20Speaker 6: do is he gonna if he's gonna say things through
- 22:23Speaker 6: the media or act out by missing flights, by the
- 22:27Speaker 6: way he's played, because when he when he came back
- 22:29Speaker 6: for a couple of games, he was scoring like seven
- 22:32Speaker 6: eight points.
- 22:33Speaker 1: So it's like he's he's out there, but he's not.
- 22:36Speaker 3: And I'm saying, and at the end of the day,
- 22:38Speaker 3: a lot of these organizations seem to be held hostage
- 22:41Speaker 3: by these athletes. I'm not gonna play play, I'm gonna
- 22:44Speaker 3: half play.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Are they held hostage by the athlete or is that
- 22:48Speaker 1: just how we have trained the athlete to be. We
- 22:50Speaker 1: got an article about Nick Saban and he's talking basically
- 22:55Speaker 1: that since the process of becoming a pro has become
- 23:00Speaker 1: us about chasing money, when are you developing this hunger
- 23:06Speaker 1: or this discipline about going about your business?
- 23:11Speaker 3: And I'm saying, and so this is all I have
- 23:14Speaker 3: the pool from right, and and the way they're handling
- 23:17Speaker 3: it only reinforces these.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Well I'm not anyway, Jimmy Butler. No, I'm saying, the
- 23:23Speaker 1: way work.
- 23:25Speaker 3: Right, And we still have to and the league has
- 23:28Speaker 3: steal well you well until we get to another collective
- 23:32Speaker 3: bargaining agreement or something like that. But when we were
- 23:35Speaker 3: trying to get all of these deals and we really
- 23:38Speaker 3: wanted these super teams. We made it possible for that
- 23:42Speaker 3: to happen. So you know, we'll talk about on the
- 23:45Speaker 3: other side of the break. More to Sports Job Show
- 23:49Speaker 3: right after this.

- 25:19Speaker 11: Daisy was abandoned by her family and placed in foster
- 25:22Speaker 11: care at fifteen years old. Her life was full of uncertainty.
- 25:27Speaker 11: She thought she'd never have a permanent place to call home.
- 25:32Speaker 5: Before I was adopted, I felt like I wasn't enough.
- 25:35Speaker 5: I had this hole in my heart and I never
- 25:37Speaker 5: knew what I needed to patch that hole. But when
- 25:41Speaker 5: my mom asked to adopt me, that.
- 25:43Speaker 12: Hole was closed.
- 25:44Speaker 5: It feels so normal now to say that I'm a
- 25:46Speaker 5: part of this family. I am surrounded by love, I
- 25:49Speaker 5: feel safe, and that hole inside of me is gone.
- 25:53Speaker 1: I am hole.
- 25:55Speaker 5: I'm finally enough, just as I am.
- 25:57Speaker 11: The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption is changing the lives
- 26:02Speaker 11: of teenagers at risk of aging out of foster care.
- 26:06Speaker 11: Like Daisy, every child deserves a permanent, loving home. You
- 26:13Speaker 11: can help learn more at Dave Thomas Foundation dot org.
- 26:20Speaker 1: And now back to the Sports John Wayne Gandy in
- 26:27Speaker 1: the Red Zo Yes you of the legend. Stop watching.
- 26:51Speaker 1: It's an ax. You listen and stop watching. Work back
- 26:59Speaker 1: to the sports socks. Ye know, I'm this more shock
- 27:01Speaker 1: Wayne again.
- 27:02Speaker 3: D I mean, I got NFL coaches calling me complaining
- 27:06Speaker 3: about these guys have no ability to sustain and persevere
- 27:12Speaker 3: and overcome adversity because they never had to do it.
- 27:18Speaker 1: They just pack up and leave as soon as something
- 27:21Speaker 1: doesn't go their wait. That's just piggybacking on what I
- 27:26Speaker 1: said Nick Saban had to say about NFL coaches. We
- 27:29Speaker 1: watch it on all levels of sports. There's guys that
- 27:33Speaker 1: were highly talented and guys that got drafted high that
- 27:38Speaker 1: a lot of us sometimes have to take a double
- 27:41Speaker 1: take to remember where is this guy? And it just
- 27:45Speaker 1: be like two three years removed, and you'd be like,
- 27:47Speaker 1: what happened to this guy? What happened to that guy?
- 27:49Speaker 1: And I think sometimes what Nick Saban in that statement
- 27:52Speaker 1: is saying that part of your college training was more
- 27:57Speaker 1: about when the rain and the bad days and something
- 28:01Speaker 1: wasn't hurt you dealing with I always say here on
- 28:05Speaker 1: the show, at the time of the yelling from high
- 28:09Speaker 1: school to college and all that and all the.
- 28:13Speaker 14: It was.
- 28:15Speaker 1: Trying to train the spirit, the mind, the soul, to
- 28:22Speaker 1: stand up when something wasn't right. How to in the
- 28:29Speaker 1: middle of the game collect yourself. You know you're having
- 28:33Speaker 1: a bad game. How to go over there and crack
- 28:37Speaker 1: your neck and crack your knuckles and figure out how
- 28:39Speaker 1: to get out of this rut that you get it,
- 28:42Speaker 1: that's just part of it. That is part of a
- 28:46Speaker 1: bad article the next day. And a lot of people,
- 28:50Speaker 1: if you're not kind of trained that way, it will
- 28:54Speaker 1: crumble you. You can't find your way out of the
- 28:59Speaker 1: you know. And that's what I say when you know,
- 29:01Speaker 1: someone like say Daniel Jones from The Giants, and I'm like, well,
- 29:04Speaker 1: you got to kind of see because maybe the New
- 29:07Speaker 1: York media was just too heavy for maybe go somewhere
- 29:12Speaker 1: where the media is a little more relaxed, the fans
- 29:16Speaker 1: aren't as critical critical, and maybe I can't find my game.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Maybe I don't get that look when I go to
- 29:27Speaker 1: Whole Food to pick up something to eat that I
- 29:31Speaker 1: do in this city versus the last city I was in,
- 29:35Speaker 1: and some of that, I know, everybody thinks, no, oh,
- 29:39Speaker 1: you'll get that in No, it's a mental training that
- 29:42Speaker 1: goes through it that you have to go through.
- 29:48Speaker 3: I think sometimes there's a riddle, how do you get
- 29:51Speaker 3: a job without experience? And how do you get experienced
- 29:54Speaker 3: without a job. So what you just talked about the
- 29:59Speaker 3: day is ain't and I'm having a bad game. I
- 30:01Speaker 3: gotta crack my knuckles. I gotta figure it out. I
- 30:03Speaker 3: got to All of that will come from the prior
- 30:07Speaker 3: screaming and the pressure, and the pressure makes diamonds kind
- 30:10Speaker 3: of thing. A lot of diamonds don't figure that out
- 30:15Speaker 3: until they're actually sitting in the display case.
- 30:20Speaker 1: Oh this what that was about?
- 30:23Speaker 3: Because they have the benefit of looking back. Most of
- 30:27Speaker 3: these athletes, what he's saying is don't go through enough
- 30:30Speaker 3: to get a chance to look back and go this
- 30:32Speaker 3: what this was about. They just keep bouncing from and
- 30:36Speaker 3: the system that we have rewards that. Oh man, you know,
- 30:40Speaker 3: you don't have to play behind anybody. You could just
- 30:43Speaker 3: come here and start now where you were. That dude's
- 30:46Speaker 3: probably gonna be an MVP that you were playing behind,
- 30:49Speaker 3: and you probably could have been an MVP two had
- 30:52Speaker 3: you gotten some of that tutelage.
- 30:53Speaker 1: But now you just a starting quarterback. Well, and if
- 30:57Speaker 1: you did not train that way, it doesn't come. And
- 31:02Speaker 1: that's the thing I'm trying to say, here, commands you,
- 31:04Speaker 1: big Kenny. It doesn't come as I think a lot
- 31:08Speaker 1: of people think a lot of No, it just doesn't
- 31:11Speaker 1: come at it at all.
- 31:12Speaker 3: Right, you think that it would, You think that you
- 31:14Speaker 3: would absorb it's gonna.
- 31:16Speaker 1: It's gonna somehow.
- 31:17Speaker 3: I'm gonna put myself around people who have that ethic,
- 31:21Speaker 3: and it's going to.
- 31:23Speaker 1: I've told you before, and I got to au burn
- 31:25Speaker 1: their whole thing back in those days when we were
- 31:27Speaker 1: gonna rebuild you. You just think you know how far
- 31:32Speaker 1: you around. You think you know how far you will
- 31:35Speaker 1: go to make a play. I'm gonna train you to
- 31:41Speaker 1: that that is your first nature. We're gonna take all
- 31:46Speaker 1: the concern out of you. You ain't gonna be concerned
- 31:52Speaker 1: about breaking your leg or your neck. We're gonna make
- 31:55Speaker 1: it second nature. All you see is that pylon right there,
- 32:01Speaker 1: and it doesn't matter that there's two defenders waiting on you.
- 32:07Speaker 1: Why would that get in my way of scoring this touchdown.
- 32:10Speaker 1: That's how we're gonna do it. We're gonna you're going
- 32:13Speaker 1: to figure out, and we're gonna train you that way.
- 32:17Speaker 1: We're gonna get all that on my hand hurt. I
- 32:19Speaker 1: twisted my ankle. That's why I always laugh here when
- 32:22Speaker 1: I tell you, guys either game, they don't even come
- 32:24Speaker 1: back for a play to see if they can push.
- 32:29Speaker 1: If they are hurt. They are now half of themselves.
- 32:33Speaker 1: They're not even just like eighty percent. They can't even
- 32:36Speaker 1: be a decoy. They can't even do it without showing
- 32:40Speaker 1: you that they are hurt. And some of that is
- 32:44Speaker 1: the training. It's like being cold weather. You don't have
- 32:48Speaker 1: to be from cold weather, but if you play in
- 32:50Speaker 1: a cold weather place, you can slowly learn how to
- 32:55Speaker 1: play in the cold that when you play the Miami Dolphins,
- 32:59Speaker 1: it is a shock to them for a day. Now,
- 33:01Speaker 1: if you take those same players that play for the
- 33:03Speaker 1: Dolphins and move them to that team a year later,
- 33:06Speaker 1: they would be on acculamated. Yeah, but for right now,
- 33:10Speaker 1: you just brought me up here for you know, just
- 33:13Speaker 1: like Atlanta people, if this is winner, we eventually adjust
- 33:17Speaker 1: to it, right, But since these days come so sparingly,
- 33:21Speaker 1: we right like, oh, it snow in New Orleans.
- 33:26Speaker 3: The last time it snowed in New Orleans, so seventeen
- 33:29Speaker 3: years ago. That's almost a whole general, that's the whole
- 33:33Speaker 3: generation ago. So like you said, it doesn't happen often
- 33:37Speaker 3: enough that people learn how to cope with it and manage.
- 33:40Speaker 1: And that used to be and I think that's why
- 33:42Speaker 1: some of the problems with paying And I said, always
- 33:45Speaker 1: put it in some kind of account and then you
- 33:47Speaker 1: get the money at the end. You actually have to
- 33:50Speaker 1: learn to overcome the negative and the bad games. And
- 33:57Speaker 1: I've watched a lot of plas guys retire. Have you
- 34:00Speaker 1: noticed that? And now who And we just had that talk.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Now you'd be thinking, oh, no, they'll come back.
- 34:12Speaker 3: Is that the system that we've developed because we wanted
- 34:14Speaker 3: to benefit from a lot of this, Like I don't
- 34:17Speaker 3: mind you just getting frustrated where you are and leaving
- 34:19Speaker 3: and coming somewhere else, as long as you're coming to me.
- 34:22Speaker 3: And it's starting to work out in that vein, and
- 34:26Speaker 3: we're not holding them accountable to a higher standard. Like here,
- 34:30Speaker 3: if a little light on the road, you just leave
- 34:33Speaker 3: your car and if they have to, they'll let you
- 34:36Speaker 3: come back and get your car. They do whatever they
- 34:39Speaker 3: have to to make you comfortable. In Chicago, you leave
- 34:41Speaker 3: your car, they tow it, and then you're fined for
- 34:44Speaker 3: abandon your You know, it was eight feet of snow
- 34:46Speaker 3: but that ain't got nothing to do with your car.
- 34:48Speaker 1: On the street. You see what I'm saying. So I
- 34:51Speaker 1: don't know that it's anybody's fault. Is just how society.
- 34:55Speaker 1: We don't. We're not hunter gatherers anymore. We don't cut
- 35:00Speaker 1: down the wood to build our own house. But we
- 35:05Speaker 1: want we find more apps and things to do nothing
- 35:10Speaker 1: than to do more. We find way so when you
- 35:13Speaker 1: don't have that, I'm always telling here like we want
- 35:19Speaker 1: to create Michael Jordan, but we don't want to go
- 35:22Speaker 1: through the Michael Jordan process. We don't want to run bleachers. No,
- 35:26Speaker 1: I want to do that.
- 35:27Speaker 3: I want to be Michael Jordan, but I don't want
- 35:29Speaker 3: to do the bleacher part. Well, get up a thousand
- 35:34Speaker 3: shots and after twenty you tired. Yeah, that's gonna bets though.
- 35:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I think if we get this new machine, instead
- 35:45Speaker 1: of having to shoot a thousand, it'll allow you only
- 35:48Speaker 1: to have to do it two hundred. Put it in
- 35:50Speaker 1: a field like a real court, by the way to
- 35:55Speaker 1: the floor. Get the machine passes the ball back to
- 35:58Speaker 1: me instead of me having this rebound correct Well, and
- 36:02Speaker 1: I'll make it so now you don't. And that's what
- 36:05Speaker 1: we do. We try to find ways to do or
- 36:09Speaker 1: get the results. That's why we got certain things like
- 36:13Speaker 1: plastic surgery is up and drug the uses to try
- 36:18Speaker 1: to get an advantage. We want to get all the
- 36:22Speaker 1: muscular look. So we'll go get lipold. Instead of doing
- 36:26Speaker 1: an extra two hundred sit ups a.
- 36:28Speaker 3: Day and eating three less slices of every nine months,
- 36:34Speaker 3: I'll just go get that life old out, get life
- 36:37Speaker 3: old out of have muscle built in? Uh, you know,
- 36:42Speaker 3: and and and and again we these so which which
- 36:47Speaker 3: is which comes first? Is those types of people you
- 36:53Speaker 3: you knew, you knew when this person left on Friday
- 36:57Speaker 3: days three hundred pounds.
- 36:59Speaker 1: They come back on Tuesday the two hundred and forty.
- 37:01Speaker 3: Eight pounds, and everybody act like you didn't lose a
- 37:04Speaker 3: half a person over a weekend. And so which of
- 37:07Speaker 3: us actually playing the game?
- 37:09Speaker 1: I feel from just not being that old and that
- 37:12Speaker 1: far moved from being out on the field, you just
- 37:15Speaker 1: you risk of not getting the greatness out of a
- 37:17Speaker 1: lot of kids that actually have greatness because you didn't
- 37:20Speaker 1: understand that for most people, the greatness has to be
- 37:25Speaker 1: equally want and matured. It has to be equal as
- 37:33Speaker 1: much as the player wants it. There's another step that
- 37:37Speaker 1: you go through coaching, there's an extra rep, there's an
- 37:42Speaker 1: extra set. That's why some people go get a weight trainer.
- 37:45Speaker 1: Now it's not that they don't know how to lift weights,
- 37:48Speaker 1: but to be held to that strict so they won't
- 37:52Speaker 1: cut the corner. They will you know right right that
- 37:56Speaker 1: the one that right I'm doing them in the wrong
- 37:59Speaker 1: order can't get the maximum burns.
- 38:01Speaker 3: So he taught me how to. Yeah, we'll be saying
- 38:04Speaker 3: we'll be back more to Sports Jock Show right after this.

- 39:59Speaker 17: Hi, I'm right I'm Blaney, a third generational race car driver,
- 40:02Speaker 17: and we dedicate a lot of our time to going
- 40:03Speaker 17: as fast as possible. My Grandpa Lou is the reason
- 40:06Speaker 17: why my dad and I started racing, and I'm really
- 40:08Speaker 17: proud to follow on his tracks. But when my grandpa
- 40:10Speaker 17: was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, it was a very unexpected bump
- 40:13Speaker 17: in the road for us. I've learned a lot on
- 40:15Speaker 17: this journey with my Grandpa Lou, and the memories of
- 40:17Speaker 17: my grandpa will always be with me. It's important to
- 40:20Speaker 17: notice if older family members are acting differently, experiencing problems
- 40:23Speaker 17: with their memory, or having trouble with routine tasks. Talking
- 40:26Speaker 17: about Alzheimer's can be really tough, but if you notice something,
- 40:29Speaker 17: have a conversation with your loved one, encourage them to
- 40:31Speaker 17: see a doctor or offer to go with them. Early

- 41:01Speaker 1: And now back to the sports John Wayne Gandy.
- 41:13Speaker 2: Between between a lock on, say you can see a
- 41:27Speaker 2: sports jaint, I'll shing even very canny.
- 41:32Speaker 1: Welcome back to the sport Shock Show. I'm this sport Shock,
- 41:35Speaker 1: Wayne Gandy. The Commanders versus the Eagles three o'clock Sunday
- 41:39Speaker 1: and then the Bills visiting the Chiefs on Sunday at
- 41:44Speaker 1: six point thirty.
- 41:45Speaker 7: Uh.
- 41:45Speaker 1: The head coaching Carol Sale Ben Johnson of the Lions.
- 41:49Speaker 1: And this is where we were talking a couple of
- 41:50Speaker 1: days ago about the Lions and when you get around
- 41:54Speaker 1: to missing that window. The thing that are successful teams
- 41:59Speaker 1: that a lot of people for get to applaud certain
- 42:02Speaker 1: teams when you can consistently win is an aspect not
- 42:08Speaker 1: just of players like in high school or college leaving
- 42:13Speaker 1: and replacing them or in the pros free agency, but
- 42:16Speaker 1: also the coaches. The more success you have, that's where
- 42:21Speaker 1: people come and get your coaches, your gms. The Raiders
- 42:28Speaker 1: just hired the guy out of Tampa Bay to be
- 42:31Speaker 1: their GM. But you got realized Tampa Bay has had
- 42:35Speaker 1: a lot of success here in the last six years
- 42:38Speaker 1: without necessarily having great teams, but they seemed to be
- 42:43Speaker 1: able to piece together some good pieces. Yes, and the
- 42:46Speaker 1: resurgence of Baker Mayfield and the picks they got in
- 42:50Speaker 1: that old line and it starts, well, when teams evaluate, well,
- 42:56Speaker 1: let's go down to Tampa they've been somebody put help
- 42:58Speaker 1: putting them together and see if he can bring that blueprint.
- 43:01Speaker 1: It's the same thing with players, and I say that
- 43:03Speaker 1: with Detroit Detroit now he's looking for two assistant coaches. Now,
- 43:08Speaker 1: good organizations. As we've seen with the new England Patriots,
- 43:14Speaker 1: they just kind of next coach up promote. So we'll
- 43:20Speaker 1: see if that's what the Lions do. But the Lions
- 43:23Speaker 1: and Ben Johnson was the offensive coordinator. He's the new
- 43:25Speaker 1: head coach at Chicago. And Aaron Glenn is now the
- 43:29Speaker 1: new head coach of the Jts Jets Jets, a team
- 43:33Speaker 1: in which he played for for four or five years
- 43:36Speaker 1: of his career. Aaron Glenn and I got drafted in
- 43:40Speaker 1: the same draft and back in ninety four. Now he
- 43:44Speaker 1: is a head coach for that team, and we will see,
- 43:49Speaker 1: but I was saying with that window with the Lions,
- 43:53Speaker 1: now you're that one or two free agent is not
- 43:56Speaker 1: just player right coach. And I'm quite sure even when
- 44:01Speaker 1: whoever was the head player personnel, right guy right is
- 44:06Speaker 1: probably up for some GM jobs somewhere else. So you
- 44:09Speaker 1: start losing on all levels of at And I wanted
- 44:14Speaker 1: to ask. Now, I've seen when head coaches.
- 44:20Speaker 3: Come into a college program a lot of times that
- 44:24Speaker 3: whole prior staff is gone because that head coach wants
- 44:29Speaker 3: to bring their own people in.
- 44:31Speaker 1: Aaron Glenn goes to the Jets.
- 44:37Speaker 3: Can he bring his coaching staff that he had working
- 44:40Speaker 3: with him in Detroit with him? Can he offer them jobs?
- 44:44Speaker 3: Or is this no, you can go, but the rest
- 44:46Speaker 3: of these guys are still under contract with me.
- 44:48Speaker 6: From what I've seen, a lot of times, they can
- 44:51Speaker 6: bring one or one or two from that were with him.
- 44:58Speaker 6: So if he wanted someone to that was coaching with him, okay,
- 45:01Speaker 6: well I don't want you to be my defensive coordinator.
- 45:03Speaker 1: He can bring him.
- 45:06Speaker 6: But then everyone else, I think their contract is if
- 45:09Speaker 6: they're still supposed to be with the team, then they'll
- 45:11Speaker 6: still be there. He can bring one guy.
- 45:12Speaker 1: If and along with what commandche is saying. That's about
- 45:17Speaker 1: the template based on if they're under contract. If they're
- 45:22Speaker 1: not in the contract, they can go with it. If
- 45:24Speaker 1: I blow, you blow, he can go okay, And a
- 45:27Speaker 1: lot of coaches contracts seek sync up. Usually one of
- 45:33Speaker 1: like Dan campbellill get there and he'll get a certain
- 45:36Speaker 1: year deal and all his coaches typically will get the
- 45:41Speaker 1: same kind of deal, three or four year deal. Now,
- 45:44Speaker 1: what about the guy that comes in is how he
- 45:46Speaker 1: protects them? He offers them about the length and uh,
- 45:51Speaker 1: some places, like I know with Jerry Jones and the Cowboys,
- 45:54Speaker 1: Jerry is more of just hired a head coach, and
- 45:58Speaker 1: you don't particularly have a lot of the power of
- 46:00Speaker 1: who you bring in.
- 46:02Speaker 3: Now, Now, what about the guys who come in as
- 46:05Speaker 3: a special liaison to the assistant, to the coordinator, who's
- 46:10Speaker 3: interviewer per se, God, like, can he just step into
- 46:15Speaker 3: a position now like you know I was up here
- 46:18Speaker 3: with as a as an observer coordinator meeting guys.
- 46:23Speaker 1: On the pro level. Basically, anyone can help you do
- 46:28Speaker 1: anything you want. Okay, he just might not be able
- 46:32Speaker 1: to carry it's all about what title does he want
- 46:36Speaker 1: to carry? But I can go hire this guy with
- 46:40Speaker 1: no title of assistant coach, and there's no rule he
- 46:43Speaker 1: can't come help me out right, and there's something like.
- 46:47Speaker 3: My assistant coach me, I can actually hire him as
- 46:50Speaker 3: an assistant coach.
- 46:51Speaker 1: But he wasn't.
- 46:52Speaker 6: But he wasn't in the process. Some of them had
- 46:55Speaker 6: that title like associate head coach. But he doesn't coach
- 46:58Speaker 6: a certain positions he didn't like either, like is he
- 47:04Speaker 6: coaching defense or offense? He's just the associate head coach.
- 47:07Speaker 1: Eire and I think these were two good hires. I
- 47:10Speaker 1: know Ben Johnson definitely has been someone of the last
- 47:13Speaker 1: two or three years. And Caleb Williams. And you're trying
- 47:16Speaker 1: to hopefully to think that being can handle Caleb Williams,
- 47:19Speaker 1: get him on the path. And then that sentiment of
- 47:22Speaker 1: Aaron Glynn already played with the Jets. All programs like
- 47:27Speaker 1: to be able to bring a person who played for
- 47:31Speaker 1: them for whatever amount of time back to the fold.
- 47:35Speaker 1: You think make the Bears more dominant over the Lions
- 47:39Speaker 1: in the future. Well, it will be one of those
- 47:43Speaker 1: things that Ben Johnson knows or two or three players
- 47:46Speaker 1: that play for the Lions who to bring over remember
- 47:51Speaker 1: he when their contracts are up. Or who to trade for.
- 47:55Speaker 1: Typically that's what you start dealing with. You start turning
- 47:59Speaker 1: into where you came from and hiring who you know.
- 48:05Speaker 1: So I was just talking about that whole window. A
- 48:08Speaker 1: lot of times when people say the window, they think
- 48:10Speaker 1: it's just the window of the player player, right, But
- 48:13Speaker 1: when you win, just like we saw with Alabama Crimson Tie,
- 48:19Speaker 1: how many of those decordinators old coordinators eventually Nick sabing
- 48:24Speaker 1: that to go every year, every year some coordinator and
- 48:31Speaker 1: he was still winning and people didn't understand. Man, that's
- 48:33Speaker 1: tough because you know the old c go to be
- 48:36Speaker 1: the LSU coach and then next year Kirby gonna be Georgia.
- 48:40Speaker 1: I'm always having to replace big parts of what makes
- 48:44Speaker 1: us successful when you win.
- 48:47Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 48:48Speaker 1: Yeah, So we'll be back more to Sports Shock Show
- 48:51Speaker 1: right after this.
- 48:56Speaker 3: They're gonna write another Patriot back against the Jason Short,
- 49:00Speaker 3: the Knights going, the FI goes.
- 49:01Speaker 14: On the.

- 50:49Speaker 14: Center Cord on Sports News gossip blihlah BLib blah blah.
- 51:17Speaker 1: Walking back to the Sports Shock Show. I'm the Sports
- 51:19Speaker 1: Shock Kwayne Gantee just over the last couple of days.
- 51:23Speaker 1: Interesting point that I think sometimes we always forget because
- 51:27Speaker 1: you know, when things are just linked, A lot of
- 51:32Speaker 1: times you think they are linked, especially people through relationships.
- 51:40Speaker 1: The closer or the more you speak on something you
- 51:44Speaker 1: think those two people are part of that would be
- 51:49Speaker 1: why they are so connected. I say that from the
- 51:54Speaker 1: standpoint of Scottie Pippen going on record over the last
- 51:59Speaker 1: couple of he says, uh, he doesn't think him and
- 52:04Speaker 1: Michael Jordan will ever be friends, and he went on
- 52:10Speaker 1: to explain that they never really were friends like we thought.
- 52:16Speaker 1: You know how people wondering why the riff is there
- 52:19Speaker 1: and it seems like they can't. His whole thing is
- 52:22Speaker 1: they were not. We ain't never been boys. We want
- 52:24Speaker 1: boys like that. We were successful coworkers. It's just because
- 52:27Speaker 1: you said Jordan's Pippin, Right, you would have thought, right,
- 52:33Speaker 1: they was friends.
- 52:33Speaker 3: What I'm saying when Fox he dropped that line nice
- 52:36Speaker 3: around Mike's like pipping, I mean you had to you know,
- 52:41Speaker 3: how about the only one?
- 52:42Speaker 1: All right? We all thought they was boys. That you've
- 52:46Speaker 1: seen the picture of Jordan Pippen, like post career they're
- 52:51Speaker 1: at They're sitting court side of the bulls game, they're
- 52:54Speaker 1: laughing and joking. There are plenty of pictures of that,
- 52:57Speaker 1: So that friends one point, at some point they were
- 53:02Speaker 1: actually friendly.
- 53:03Speaker 3: Now in the industry associating, yeah, I'm saying. In the business,
- 53:08Speaker 3: we call those photo ops. Now we're part of the
- 53:11Speaker 3: same project. So when we're promoting this project, when we're
- 53:14Speaker 3: promoting things associated with this project, we want to all
- 53:18Speaker 3: show up and look like just create the illusion, create friendship,
- 53:22Speaker 3: to create the we're not we're not calling an illusion.
- 53:27Speaker 1: We're marketing. That's what we're doing.
- 53:30Speaker 3: And we understand that when we show up that you know,
- 53:33Speaker 3: I work with a lot of people that I don't
- 53:35Speaker 3: hang out with, and you see us when we're working
- 53:38Speaker 3: and we're cordial and we're respectful and I appreciate you.
- 53:42Speaker 3: But when I leave here, I ain't texting you or
- 53:45Speaker 3: calling you and knowing what's going on with you till
- 53:47Speaker 3: I see you again.
- 53:48Speaker 1: It's it's the idea of teammate versus friend. Okay, A
- 53:53Speaker 1: lot of people always think that teammates are your friends.
- 53:58Speaker 1: And it's like, no, I had a lot of teammates, right,
- 54:02Speaker 1: I knew the guy was on the team. I know
- 54:04Speaker 1: who you're speaking with. But me and the guy have
- 54:07Speaker 1: never been that way, been any kind of way.
- 54:10Speaker 4: Right.
- 54:11Speaker 1: You know a lot of guys like y'all got beef. No,
- 54:14Speaker 1: I don't. I don't know him. I just don't know him.
- 54:16Speaker 1: We don't have any beef. Like a decent teammates. We
- 54:19Speaker 1: were teammates, so that that that you're saying is in
- 54:22Speaker 1: an environment where we're teammates. We but you took it
- 54:26Speaker 1: as like anyone would teammates have to be friends, right,
- 54:30Speaker 1: And I'm saying in this environment, they don't. They don't
- 54:33Speaker 1: have to. But this is this way after their career
- 54:35Speaker 1: is over. I'm saying, but we are. We're repping Jets.
- 54:39Speaker 3: Yeah, we all here repping the Jets and what the
- 54:41Speaker 3: Jets brought to me and my life and that time
- 54:44Speaker 3: in my life and that moment in time I'll always
- 54:47Speaker 3: appreciate that and hype that and ride for that side.
- 54:50Speaker 1: And when you show up, you were part of that
- 54:53Speaker 1: moment in time. So yeah, we did that. But again,
- 54:57Speaker 1: when the lights get cut off and we go to
- 55:00Speaker 1: are cars, that's that.
- 55:02Speaker 3: That's you know, and people be wanting you to have
- 55:06Speaker 3: barbecues together, and you know he named his first child Mike,
- 55:09Speaker 3: and it's we just were never that close.
- 55:12Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's an interesting dynamic, like you're you could
- 55:16Speaker 1: have been college not just teammates, you could have been
- 55:20Speaker 1: in my area college roommates. Yeah, but when that era
- 55:24Speaker 1: was over, that's just what Now when you see that person,
- 55:27Speaker 1: y'all go back and remember y'all were teammates and roommates,
- 55:31Speaker 1: but your connection stops there. And I think a lot
- 55:35Speaker 1: of us and you know, with the Scottie Pippen, uh,
- 55:39Speaker 1: it's like Magic and Kareem. When you hear and watch
- 55:42Speaker 1: different stories about them, they don't really talk about each
- 55:47Speaker 1: other like they were these great friends and much as
- 55:50Speaker 1: they were great teammates together.
- 55:52Speaker 3: Now, why do you think Scotty felt the need to
- 55:54Speaker 3: clear the air about that now?
- 55:56Speaker 1: Because it seems that society and the love of Michael
- 56:01Speaker 1: Jordan and the Pippin era. I want to believe they were.
- 56:06Speaker 3: Y'all want us to do a red Man and Math album, right,
- 56:10Speaker 3: y'all want us to drop an album.
- 56:13Speaker 1: By him saying that do a buddy cop. You can
- 56:16Speaker 1: lure your expectations some now by him saying that to
- 56:20Speaker 1: get Greg and me and you to understand we were
- 56:24Speaker 1: not friends like y'all, We didn't fall out as much
- 56:28Speaker 1: as you thought we fell out because we would be
- 56:30Speaker 1: friends like that, right right, We still same cool as
- 56:34Speaker 1: we all. What's up?
- 56:36Speaker 3: How you doing cool? I let you all right then, bru,
- 56:40Speaker 3: that's out. And that's been You saw me like that.
- 56:44Speaker 3: You saw me chucking the deuce at the game and
- 56:47Speaker 3: was like, ah, they must have fell out. But now
- 56:49Speaker 3: we usually barely acknowledge each other.
- 56:51Speaker 1: And you're part of you know, siblings, yes, yes, people,
- 56:57Speaker 1: you can have multiple siblings, but maybe one of the
- 57:00Speaker 1: siblings and you are actually friends friends, yes, and you
- 57:04Speaker 1: and the other siblings. Y'all just got my brother sister
- 57:08Speaker 1: or brother brother, right right, you know that kind of thing.
- 57:12Speaker 1: And it's the same thing with like probably a fratern fraternity, yes, yes,
- 57:16Speaker 1: or anything like that.
- 57:18Speaker 3: That's just yeah, you know, no man, all forty of
- 57:22Speaker 3: them guys or whatever many crossed with Kenny might not be.
- 57:26Speaker 1: And that's what I'm saying.
- 57:28Speaker 3: I've always understood that because people go, oh, man, you
- 57:33Speaker 3: pledge with eighty three dudes. Ain't no way, all y'all friends,
- 57:37Speaker 3: I pledge with only seven of us altogether, just six
- 57:41Speaker 3: other dudes, and all us ain't that tight. You'm only
- 57:44Speaker 3: it was only six other dudes for me to reach
- 57:47Speaker 3: out to, and in some of them I haven't heard
- 57:49Speaker 3: from in literally decades, so you know, and when I
- 57:53Speaker 3: see them, it's love.
- 57:55Speaker 1: I ain't no you know, my lb but you've grown,
- 57:59Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. You got kids. We met
- 58:02Speaker 1: that out there to help us in society to realize,
- 58:05Speaker 1: like now y'all are y'all are taking it? Yeah, y'all
- 58:09Speaker 1: trying to get us place to cast a bad boy situation,
- 58:14Speaker 1: and Scotty trying to say, we wasn't like that in
- 58:18Speaker 1: the first place in the first place. So maybe that
- 58:21Speaker 1: will help people understand. I think it helps definitely, because
- 58:26Speaker 1: just how you said, Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan, they
- 58:28Speaker 1: will forever be linked. And I'm quite sure there's a
- 58:31Speaker 1: lot of combos like that. Yeah, do you do you
- 58:34Speaker 1: think we do?
- 58:36Speaker 3: You think sometimes we almost romanticize these relationships so much
- 58:41Speaker 3: that these dudes almost manufacture a friendship just because they
- 58:44Speaker 3: don't want to break our hearts. You know what I'm saying.
- 58:46Speaker 3: They're smiling at the event because, man, you know, these
- 58:48Speaker 3: people think we cool.
- 58:49Speaker 1: I guess that's why we get so crazy when boy
- 58:52Speaker 1: bands and girl bands break up, because we be thinking
- 58:55Speaker 1: they so not the boys and then find out they
- 58:59Speaker 1: ain't even like doubting we'll be back. Well to Sports

- 1:00:17Speaker 8: Some people won't give you the real talk on drugs,
- 1:00:20Speaker 8: but it's time we know the facts. Fentanyl is often
- 1:00:23Speaker 8: laced into illicit drugs and used to make fake versions
- 1:00:26Speaker 8: of prescription pills. You can't see it, taste it, or
- 1:00:30Speaker 8: smell it. Suppliers mix fentanyl into their products because it's
- 1:00:33Speaker 8: potent and cheap, and the dealer might not even know.

- 1:01:39Speaker 1: the show over, you can go to Amazon, Apple, Audible, Deezer, iHeartRadio,
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: or Spotify and catch the replay of the show. Big
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: Kenny Command you Greg in the building. Ohio State Buck
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: guys are the national champs.
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: They want it here on Monday and an impressive fashion
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: over Notre Dame. For you people out there that think
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: the SEC is dead, don't don't fool yourself. Okay, that's
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: just been two years. Slow Down, I went and around
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: and did numbers. In the last twenty five years. Since
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: two thousand, the SEC has won sixteen of those national titles.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: At one period, they won seven in a row. So
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: slow Down Command, I know two years went by and
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: the SEC didn't win the title, and that look that's
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: now man. But but but ohiuse they got it this
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: year Ohio State, that in one since twenty thirteen, but
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: last year it will Big ten and before that it
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: was six years of the SEC.
- 1:02:58Speaker 6: You're going to have to put ten people because they're
- 1:03:01Speaker 6: the ones saying there on top.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: Yeah that's just me. They want to be there so bad.
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: But I ran. Yeah, it was this year Ohio State.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: Last year Michigan. Twenty twenty two was Georgia, twenty twenty
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: one was Georgia, twenty twenty was Alabama, twenty nineteen was LSU,
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: twenty eighteen was Clempson, twenty seventeen was Alabama, twenty sixteen
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: was Clemson, twenty fifteen was Alabama. You get the whole.
- 1:03:33Speaker 6: See, those schools can like claim like we'll be back
- 1:03:37Speaker 6: like that individual school. But if you're a Kentucky football fan,
- 1:03:43Speaker 6: you can't be clayd like, oh that's the like mister
- 1:03:48Speaker 6: Costc's that's kind of odd to me, but that Kentucky can.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: Claim that Kentucky claiming we won.
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: Someone one of our listeners online, Uh, e can't chuku
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: geese bar said, but who's the in all caps current
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: king of college football sports? Jock, it's the current king
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: were talking about the past king. You want to current king? Well,
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: I thought I said them first, And I guess that's
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: to say that that's all that matters now for a
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: lot of people.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: Is that right now what we have is Ohio State?
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: Well that's what a lot of people that. But a
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: lot of people have buttholes too. Hey so we all
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: got one, Yeah, we all got one.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: I was just, you know, saying that it'll be before
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: it's over, it'll be back to SEC football.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: No, it could be what it is based on that.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: It's the competition and SEC if they almost don't come
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: up with a plan, they're just gonna beat each other up.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: When I say that, I'm not saying that in a
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: joking way. The conference is too deep now that they
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: almost need to get rid of the SEC title game.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: Both of these teams that won didn't play in a
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: title game. Yeah so no, I mean not that won.
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: Both of the teams that played in the national title
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: game this year, Notre Dame, and they didn't play in
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: their comforts. So that's one less game and they still
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: got in. SEC just is so deep, you can be
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: too deep?
- 1:05:29Speaker 3: And so why is the SEC playing the SEC championship game.
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: For well, that used to be just like the Bowl games.
- 1:05:39Speaker 3: So that was a big thing for us, and so
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: they're just going to continue.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: We had to get three or four more years of
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: us not winning and then I will start telling you
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: that the trend. I'm not saying you're going to always
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: have a baton. I'm saying that whenever it goes around.
- 1:05:55Speaker 6: I just read a story that with the ACC, they
- 1:05:59Speaker 6: were very concerned about SMU not making the playoff by
- 1:06:05Speaker 6: losing the ACC championship. They're considering whoever has the best
- 1:06:09Speaker 6: regular season has a bye, and then the second and
- 1:06:15Speaker 6: third place team play in the game. So it's like,
- 1:06:20Speaker 6: if you have the best regular season, you can get
- 1:06:22Speaker 6: in by not like it may be best to get
- 1:06:26Speaker 6: in by not playing that conference championship. And those that
- 1:06:33Speaker 6: did and got the buy, they all lost their for
- 1:06:36Speaker 6: the first game in the playoff because I think the
- 1:06:40Speaker 6: long layoff had something to do with it. If you
- 1:06:43Speaker 6: play that first round, you're still in a rhythm, so
- 1:06:46Speaker 6: they may consider that as far as the conference championship
- 1:06:51Speaker 6: goes well.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: The Major League Baseball Hall of Fame class has been
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: voted for. Hero Saizuki became the first Japanese born player
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. He's going
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: in this year with CC Sabbathia and closer Billy Wagner. Interesting,
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: that Suzuki a chiro. That's how we always said it.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: We dropped the Suzuki. Yeah, and we just called him
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: a chi ro. Yeah.
- 1:07:25Speaker 6: It technically Echio is his last name, but in Japan
- 1:07:32Speaker 6: the last name is first.
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: You say that first wat and we were in America,
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: but we don't want to be his first name is
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: actually he we missed. Yeah, we just call him he missed. Unanimous.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: He got three hundred and ninety three of the three
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: hundred and ninety four vote. Typically, in that situation, you
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: feel like that one vote is a hater. If it
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: was ten people, then you get more of some people.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: Really felt like when it's three ninety three than three
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: ninety four, that one person probably had a vendetta. He
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: didn't give him an interview. He you know, he found
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: some reasons some other player something like that. Mario Rivara
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: uh in twenty nineteen is the only unanimous selection, which
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: then starts making you feel like maybe the whole thing
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: is messed up because you're telling me that people like
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: Willie Mays. And now this is something, this is something
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: that I think is interesting when when they were Ricky
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: Henderson was not unanimous, right, and Ricky Henderson wasn't I'm
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: just saying that there was somebody like, nah, he ain't
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: that good. There's only one right.
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: And then this is what got me is you have
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: to have seventy five percent of the vote required for
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: an induction. These are the people who got left out
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: this year. Carlos Beltran, Andrew Jones, Chase Utley, Alex Rodriguez,
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: Manny Ramirez, and Andy Pettitt.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: Left out. Now three hundred some people.
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: You mean seventy five percent of three hundred some people
- 1:09:24Speaker 3: didn't think that Andrew Jones was good enough.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: Well, I can't to the I think baseball is trying
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: to pump the brakes and on letting people in. Yes, okay,
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: it's supposed to be a little more stringent than a
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: lot of you like you a lot eight, ten, twelve
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: people in at a time. And we've seen them over
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: the last couple of years go with three two a
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: couple of times under none. Like they're trying to make
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: a statement that we let you in. We're saying the Hall,
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: whereas we've had guys in the NFL Hall of Fame.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: Question guy's entry, You.
- 1:10:07Speaker 3: Know he get in, then my boys should have got in,
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: right right. You think that Baseball is trying to avoid
- 1:10:16Speaker 3: that scrutiny, Like nah, man, everybody in here deserve to
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: get in. And I still think that some of what
- 1:10:23Speaker 3: some people find offensive in the voting for the Baseball
- 1:10:26Speaker 3: Hall of Fame is in most hall of Fame is
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: that these ain't players and coaches doing the voting. Folks
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: that ain't never had to play, get a chance to go.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: They were the people who invented, Yes, the Hall of Fame,
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: I understand, I understand. Oh I don't know that you
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: get to Then you started piggybacking on it. It was
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: a writer's award, just like most awards are what the writers,
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: and then.
- 1:10:50Speaker 3: The coaches start going, no, now you ought to listen
- 1:10:52Speaker 3: to us because we knew the game better.
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: Okay, it was a writer's award to begin with. So
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: they have president I'll accepts. The players have their own
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: award ceremonies of who they get to choose. It just
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: never has reached the heights of popularity of those kind
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: of things. So you do have those awards, and it's
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: always been subjective, you know. I was talking to someone
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: about the difference between the MVP. We talked about that
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: with Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, and I asked a
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: couple of people do they know the difference between the
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: best player and the MVP? And they most people think
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: they're the same thing. But the MVP does not stand
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: for best player. It stands for most valuable Player. But
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: it's splitting hairs. But it is a difference where you
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: have a lot of people like, well, you could have
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: just gave your Michael Jordan the best player. That is true.
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: There was times that Shaq was the best player in
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: the league, but he didn't get the MVP because there
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: is a slight difference, and typically it is more of
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: who had the most impact on that team.
- 1:12:20Speaker 3: Success. Okay, so who carried well? Who was more of
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: the real reason that team won? All right, ain't nobody
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: coming to see you otis? No, you might have that,
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: but this year Scotty carried a little more of the
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: load than for Mike.
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: Then the Carl Malone might have been on another team
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: where he carried the whole And that's how you get
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: that little different because Michael Jordan only won what five
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: to six and it's fifteen years. Kareem played twenty years,
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: one of about six of them, but I'm quite sure
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: that was years. People really felt like this was his
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: best year and didn't get it. So Hall of Fame.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: We'll talk about Mario Rivera on the other side of
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: the break, him and his wife in some trouble being
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: sued right after this.
- 1:13:16Speaker 10: Little copy, Don't bowl Wayne Board of the Sports Josh
- 1:13:30Speaker 10: Show with Wayne Dantidias coming up next.
- 1:13:34Speaker 13: In sitcoms, when someone has a problem, they just blurt
- 1:13:37Speaker 13: it out and move on.
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: Well, I lost my job and my parakeet is missing.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: How is your day?
- 1:13:44Speaker 13: But the real world is different. Managing life's challenges could
- 1:13:47Speaker 13: be overwhelming.
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: So what do we do? We get support?
- 1:13:51Speaker 13: The huntsmand Mental Health Institute and the ad Council have
- 1:13:53Speaker 13: mental health resources available for you at Love Yourmind Today

- 1:14:09Speaker 20: athletic events. Some fan seem angry they lack civility toward

- 1:14:18Speaker 1: Time out.
- 1:14:19Speaker 8: What is going on?
- 1:14:21Speaker 15: This has to stop.
- 1:14:24Speaker 20: Let's not forget school sports aren't just about winning, and
- 1:14:27Speaker 20: they're definitely not an excuse to take your frustrations out
- 1:14:30Speaker 20: on the official or the opponent. They're about teaching lessons
- 1:14:34Speaker 20: like perseverance, respect and empathy so students can learn.
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: And grow as people, not just as players.
- 1:14:42Speaker 20: We all have a role to play in setting a
- 1:14:44Speaker 20: good example for our students and teaching them these important values.
- 1:14:48Speaker 20: So fans, it's time to step up your game and
- 1:14:51Speaker 20: behave positively at interscholastic athletic events in Georgia.
- 1:14:55Speaker 9: This message presented by the GHSA and the Georgia Athletic

- 1:18:57Speaker 1: most popular TV shows, uh, that's ever been on television,
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: especially in modern era. H Mariska Hargatay is sixty one.
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: I have never watched SVU. Watched SVU. I've been in
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: a room where it was on a TV, you know,
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: I like the Doctor's Office or something, But I've never
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: watched from beginning to end episode. I know the young
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: lady because she's been on there the whole time, hasn't
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: she Yes, yeah, from twenty five years, twenty six years.
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: It does their name right, Yeah, she's sixty one. So
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: the show is on right now somewhere right now. Yeah,
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: you're saying, if I just turned the TV on and
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: flip some channel.
- 1:19:46Speaker 3: I think they actually have. I think they actually have
- 1:19:49Speaker 3: a law and order network now like there may be.
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: So I have never watched, and I've been meaning I've
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: never watched from beginning I've said it, like I said
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: in the doctor's office waiting on Jiffy Lube, and you
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: look up and it's on the TV. But I've never
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: seen how the show went. And they said it's a
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: great show. It used to be one of my favorites.
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: And now a little cluck And there were a lot
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: of little.
- 1:20:20Speaker 3: Part time, a lot of work locations, but and up
- 1:20:24Speaker 3: until the last one, I had decided on the work site.
- 1:20:27Speaker 3: But since you mentioned her, my risk of architect and
- 1:20:31Speaker 3: the clock in mysteriously sounds like their leading music clonk clung.
- 1:20:37Speaker 3: So for some law and order that's why, because I'm
- 1:20:41Speaker 3: a law and order workman. So yeah, a risko argitae today.
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: Yeah, but she might put you in the interrogation room though,
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: bit Henny, I hope she hit me with the telephone book.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: You see what I'm saying.
- 1:20:53Speaker 3: I'm talking about rough me up, started talking about things
- 1:20:55Speaker 3: like rico, give it a Spanish name.
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: I don't care.
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: Hit me with it, baby, I'm saying, to terrogate me,
- 1:21:02Speaker 3: waterboard me a good cop, bad cop. Let's play that game.
- 1:21:08Speaker 3: Hey twenty thirty. You know what I'm saying. It depends
- 1:21:11Speaker 3: on how much I got in me. You see what
- 1:21:13Speaker 3: I'm saying twenty thirty. I'm just I'm willing to do
- 1:21:16Speaker 3: my time.
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: Yes, sir, you said we had a couple of comments online. Yes,
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: we have.
- 1:21:24Speaker 3: Some of our loyal listeners online have commented on some
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: of the things we've been talking about this morning. First
- 1:21:30Speaker 3: of all, Uncle Charlie wanted to know, is Jimmy Butler
- 1:21:33Speaker 3: burning bridges before he crosses them? And I sometimes wonder
- 1:21:37Speaker 3: about that disgrundled employee posture. Who wants that when you're
- 1:21:43Speaker 3: talking about trying to trade somebody. I don't want that
- 1:21:45Speaker 3: in my locker room. So how is that going to
- 1:21:48Speaker 3: affect him going forward?
- 1:21:49Speaker 13: We have.
- 1:21:54Speaker 3: The comment about from mister Gizbar, who's the current king.
- 1:21:57Speaker 3: We have Antoine Lily that said the nil and the
- 1:22:00Speaker 3: transfer portal have changed the landscape of college football, and yes,
- 1:22:04Speaker 3: get rid of the conference championship game. Jared Lloyd says, uh,
- 1:22:09Speaker 3: the same butthole who left out the vote was probably
- 1:22:13Speaker 3: the same who left Jeter off the ballot. And and
- 1:22:18Speaker 3: then he also said that these are some hard choices
- 1:22:21Speaker 3: for the work permit, but not for me.
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: I'm a professional. You see what I'm saying.
- 1:22:25Speaker 3: I knew right Jared trying to say he couldn't make
- 1:22:28Speaker 3: up his mind. He still yeah, he but my risk
- 1:22:31Speaker 3: if you listening now, before my risk, it was going
- 1:22:34Speaker 3: to be a I don't get a consolation saw and
- 1:22:43Speaker 3: order suv S. Got to get the letters in Yeah,
- 1:22:49Speaker 3: I gotta get the letters in order because I might
- 1:22:51Speaker 3: be doing something different if I do an s u V.
- 1:22:53Speaker 3: You see what I'm saying, s v U. That's a
- 1:22:56Speaker 3: different case. That's different gas all together? Which one is
- 1:23:00Speaker 3: that asked me that one? Yes, Marissa's a target time. Okay, Okay,
- 1:23:05Speaker 3: we'll be back more to Sports Jock Show.
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: After is.
- 1:23:10Speaker 14: May Wall Street.
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: Don't go awayne.

- 1:23:27Speaker 4: My name is Teresa Barber. I was in the United
- 1:23:29Speaker 4: States Navy and I served overseas in the Middle East
- 1:23:33Speaker 4: in Africa. Early on in my career, I had a
- 1:23:35Speaker 4: commander that taught our suicide prevention training and the very
- 1:23:38Speaker 4: next day he took his own life. Ninety percent of
- 1:23:41Speaker 4: suicide attempts involving a gun are fatal. My way of
- 1:23:44Speaker 4: continuing my service is to help protect my community by
- 1:23:48Speaker 4: being a responsible gun owner and by storing firearms safely,
- 1:23:51Speaker 4: store all your guns securely.
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: Help stop suicide.
- 1:23:54Speaker 11: Brought to you by End Family Fire and the AD Council.
- 1:23:57Speaker 21: I always had to be so good no one could
- 1:24:00Speaker 21: or me carve my path with data and drive, but
- 1:24:04Speaker 21: some people only see who I am on paper, the
- 1:24:07Speaker 21: paper ceiling, the limitations from degree screens to stereotypes that
- 1:24:11Speaker 21: are holding back over seventy million stars workers skill through
- 1:24:14Speaker 21: alternative rocks rather than a bachelor's degree. It's time for

- 1:24:24Speaker 1: Brought to you by Opportunity at Work and the AD Council.
- 1:24:27Speaker 9: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance. Three
- 1:24:30Speaker 9: quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 1:24:34Speaker 9: of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have
- 1:24:37Speaker 9: life insurance.
- 1:24:38Speaker 16: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:24:40Speaker 16: just getting started with our family and thought we lived forever.
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: Life insurance was the last thing on my mind. What
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: about you? Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:24:48Speaker 16: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:24:50Speaker 16: bills piling up, I was worried how my family was
- 1:24:52Speaker 16: survive without me That's what I made an appointment with
- 1:24:54Speaker 16: the insurance informant.
- 1:24:55Speaker 9: Information gives you power and life insurance gives your family
- 1:24:58Speaker 9: security no matter what stage wipe your in.
- 1:25:00Speaker 16: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I'll
- 1:25:03Speaker 16: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:25:05Speaker 9: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:25:07Speaker 9: whether you earn a little or a lot, All you

- 1:25:15Speaker 9: two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind?

- 1:25:24Speaker 9: or bills dot com. And now back to the Sports
- 1:25:30Speaker 9: Job Wayne.
- 1:25:31Speaker 12: Gandy Player's lounge.
- 1:25:38Speaker 14: You have been given full access to the player's lounge
- 1:25:41Speaker 14: on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne GANDYPO to reach.
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: For the Scott. Nevertheless, a body try to tell you
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: what the why? Yes, welcome back to this wat Shock Show.
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: We have an incident here in Georgia that police are
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: actually looking into, and we've talked about this on several
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: levels when things happen on the court with players. This
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: is coming from a January third incident that's just hitting
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: the media outlet here rock Mark High School. I've actually
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: called a rock Mark High School football game on a
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: Friday night, but on the basketball court they were playing
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: so Noraville. I've never heard of that school here, but
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: an an incident happened on the court where one of
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: the players punched two of the opposing players, and they're
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: investigating it to see if there's any criminal charge Big Kenny.
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: We've talked about this with other sports where the fight
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: breaks out, when how can charges be pressed? When that
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: incident happened with Juwan Howard a couple of years ago
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: at Michigan, the timing of the act. Some of the
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: times we've seen what the teams are shaking hands at
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: the end, somebody will punch. In this case, Uh, they
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: are looking into some charges. So that's really name after
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: it was during the game a brawl broke out and
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: you see the video and really, you know, I'm not
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: it's based on how do you see sports? And I
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: think that's the hardest thing of trying to figure out
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: how to process. Some people feel like between the lines
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: it's gamesmanship, sportsmanship, throw them out the game, suspending for
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: the next game. We've seen punches thrown right in situations.
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: We've seen them about eight.
- 1:28:19Speaker 3: Years ago when the two guys tried to hit the
- 1:28:21Speaker 3: referee in the game, remember the football game.
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: They tried to set him up, and I think they
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: they did hit him right, something like yeah, yeah, yeah yeah,
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: and the kid got put out of the game or
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: something like that. Yeah. So I just brought it because
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: they're saying they have some investigation into to see if
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: they're going to prosecute feeling like it was more of
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: assault than it was basketball. And it's interesting. When I.
- 1:28:55Speaker 3: Went to investigate the video, they are showing still images
- 1:29:01Speaker 3: and then they well, before they started the video, they
- 1:29:04Speaker 3: said that some of these images may be inappropriate for
- 1:29:09Speaker 3: all viewers. And they keep doing it in the freeze
- 1:29:13Speaker 3: frame thing. Whoa, that was a nice little shot with
- 1:29:17Speaker 3: a good right, I'm saying, and he closed on this kid,
- 1:29:23Speaker 3: so he pushed him down. First, he closes on the kid,
- 1:29:27Speaker 3: he hits him with a right looks like the kid
- 1:29:28Speaker 3: goes down. Now, then there seems to be some rushing
- 1:29:34Speaker 3: to the court because they keep freezing it and kid
- 1:29:38Speaker 3: squares up. The puncher is now in his full protect
- 1:29:41Speaker 3: yourself at all time, stands teammate between him and other
- 1:29:46Speaker 3: opposing players and someone finds him.
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: Well, my point Comanche and Big Kenny is just more
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: of how the times have changed. Right ten fifteen years ago,
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: let's be we just kind of throw the kid out
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: the game, maybe spending for the next game. We move on.
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: Whatever you did between the lines was kind. We didn't
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: see an assault in assault way. That was you just
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: the heat in motion play on kind of situation that
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: we used to go through Major League Hall of Famer.
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: As we said, Mariano Rivera and his wife accused of
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: covering up child sex abuse.
- 1:30:29Speaker 4: Uh.
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: This complaint, young lady is saying that the Rivera's advised
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: her to attend a camp where she was assaulted when
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: she got back from the story. Sounds like she's going
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: by Jane Doe. She's saying that in telling them, they
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: advised her maybe just to keep it to themselves. And
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: then there was another incident at their home where this
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: same person, I guess, came to the party command you
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: did you read up on this?
- 1:31:07Speaker 3: Uh?
- 1:31:08Speaker 6: Yes, I saw it basically the that it's being investigated
- 1:31:17Speaker 6: and yeah, it's she's claiming that the that she wasn't
- 1:31:28Speaker 6: that be half of the churches is covering up. So
- 1:31:32Speaker 6: that's that's basically what I got from this.
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: It's now the thing that I couldn't understand Big Kenny
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: in this case.
- 1:31:38Speaker 10: Uh.
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: And she's not saying that Mariano and his wife did
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: anything to her. Let's make sure we got that class.
- 1:31:44Speaker 3: Okay, that's the party, And that's the part where the
- 1:31:48Speaker 3: media sells the story to the point you really have
- 1:31:52Speaker 3: to read the article to find out.
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: That they're just members of the church or members of
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: the church. And at some point she says she discussed
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: whatever happened to her with them, and the lawsuit goes
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: against them because maybe the advice they were giving her
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: about it. Now in the story, I didn't read anything
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: where the young lady or a parent went to the
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: police the police, and that's the part that I was
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: looking for, Like, when this happened, it seemed like they
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: kept going through the riveras in some kind of way
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: of stopping or encouraging them to get involved. Now now
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: supports shock.
- 1:32:38Speaker 3: I say, I want to preface what I'm about to
- 1:32:41Speaker 3: say with I don't blame any victims, and anyone who
- 1:32:46Speaker 3: is a victim, I hope gets all of the help
- 1:32:48Speaker 3: and the justice that they deserve.
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: And need, But.
- 1:32:54Speaker 3: Unfortunately, we live in a jaded society where it seems
- 1:32:57Speaker 3: like the reporting that you're giving me now of these
- 1:33:00Speaker 3: facts almost lends itself to allow one one to believe
- 1:33:05Speaker 3: that possibly this was all orchestrated. Are y'all trying to
- 1:33:09Speaker 3: set me up? Are you trying to make some sort
- 1:33:12Speaker 3: of news story out of me? Because again, why isn't
- 1:33:16Speaker 3: this a police issue? Why is this a civil issue?
- 1:33:21Speaker 3: You're telling me that. Basically, what I'm understanding is there's
- 1:33:26Speaker 3: a camp sponsored by a church where people are mistreating children,
- 1:33:31Speaker 3: and then we come back to your home and these
- 1:33:34Speaker 3: same people happen to come to your house and use
- 1:33:37Speaker 3: your house as a place to lure and mistreat children,
- 1:33:41Speaker 3: and it's a civil matter.
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: I don't understand that.
- 1:33:49Speaker 3: I mean, where's the FBI, where's the people rating all
- 1:33:53Speaker 3: of these properties and trying to get all of this evidence?
- 1:33:57Speaker 3: But you're reporting that now these people are in court
- 1:34:01Speaker 3: for a undisclosed dollar amount.
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: That doesn't that doesn't sound like justice to me.
- 1:34:07Speaker 3: That doesn't sound like outrage and demanding that someone be
- 1:34:13Speaker 3: held accountable to me, because if that's the bar of accountability,
- 1:34:18Speaker 3: then people who harm children just start ponying her day
- 1:34:21Speaker 3: dollars I got, you know, a couple hundred million. How
- 1:34:24Speaker 3: much can I get for that? And that that's disturbing
- 1:34:27Speaker 3: to me. I don't, I don't you know. So this
- 1:34:30Speaker 3: it seems from this point we have to let this
- 1:34:32Speaker 3: air out.
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: Maybe there is a criminal investigation going on, but from
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: this it just sounds like she was running everything through
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: Mario Rivera and his wife and whatever advice.
- 1:34:45Speaker 6: It does claim that they reached out to law enforcement
- 1:34:50Speaker 6: about a couple of the incidents.
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: They being the young lady that was assaulted or okay.
- 1:35:00Speaker 6: But a majority of the article it's they went through
- 1:35:04Speaker 6: the Riveras to do something. So even just the it
- 1:35:09Speaker 6: seemed like a blip for them to say that they
- 1:35:12Speaker 6: reached out to law enforcement. So who knows how long
- 1:35:15Speaker 6: it actually took to get to that point. But according
- 1:35:19Speaker 6: to the journalists, they have not gotten any information about
- 1:35:23Speaker 6: from law enforcement about me.
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: Yeah, it'd be interesting to see how this plays. Ou'm
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: we'll let it air out. I'm more on the side especially,
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: you know, and it just could be my short sightedness,
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: but I'm always more hearing these cases of my first
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: step with me, myself or my loved one is to
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: go to the police and look, look before we get
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: to any of that, look, look and trying to blame
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: and trust me, that ain't my way to automatically go
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: to the cops, but this would be my first. No,
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: I don't want to hear no more of this story.
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: Do we get somebody from law enforcement here to start
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: hearing this with us? Because I don't need no parts
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: of the story change. I don't need it to be
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: he was confused. This is a law issue, period, and
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: sometimes we hear these cases and we talk about them
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: where that seems to be afterthought, Yes, and the first
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: thought is the lawsuit. The post Malone collab with Oreos.
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: Have y'all had him? Have y'all seen them? I think
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: they come out this week. Post Malone is now with Oreo.
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: They have a new Oreo Swirl flavor where they have
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: mixed saltic caramel it maybe some other there's two flavors
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: in the Oreo short Bread flavor with saltic caramel Bick Kenny.
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: So the post Malone Oreo, y'all haven't even done the
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: Baco Bill Chicken Chicken Nuggets Listen Sports still near me
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: is still being renovated.
- 1:37:08Speaker 3: And I'm sorry that I'm still caught in the gap
- 1:37:11Speaker 3: here that I can't believe that folks like Snoop and
- 1:37:15Speaker 3: post Malone are pitching nationally branded products like at the Olympics.
- 1:37:23Speaker 3: I mean, post Malone is known for taking psychedelic drugs.
- 1:37:26Speaker 3: Now you want us to get a collapse from He's
- 1:37:31Speaker 3: a country singer. Oh, a country singer. So so that
- 1:37:34Speaker 3: makes the psychedelic better? I don't know it will be.
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: I don't know. You ain't very interested in these. That's
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: where a squirrel the swirl flavor comes from. We're gonna
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: go get some of the cookies and what else? What
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: else we need to be drying? Uh, the taco bell
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: chicken niggas together.
- 1:37:52Speaker 14: I don't know.
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: That sounds dangerous. Sounds like after they smoked one something
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: they would Okay, well today we'll try. We'll be back
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: right afternoon.

- 1:40:37Speaker 1: That's all I can say. Post alone selling oreos snoop
- 1:40:40Speaker 1: running at the Olympics, just stand up. Come man, you
- 1:40:45Speaker 1: you don't have to sing the song. Don't even have
- 1:40:46Speaker 1: to put your hand, just at least your half. What
- 1:40:49Speaker 1: half do it?
- 1:40:53Speaker 3: The pressure to fully go in, But you gotta give
- 1:40:55Speaker 3: it something more. Am burn way go right. I'm saying,
- 1:41:01Speaker 3: add syllables to it, go rain, go in for America,
- 1:41:06Speaker 3: because this is the only country that you can do
- 1:41:08Speaker 3: stuff like this. You can be post malone and make
- 1:41:12Speaker 3: songs about being disenfranchised and taking psychedelic drugs and wanting
- 1:41:16Speaker 3: to drop off the face of society and then sell
- 1:41:19Speaker 3: us some mixed oreo cookies. Now think about that. Who's
- 1:41:23Speaker 3: ever changed the formula and the flavor of oreoles?
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: It's never been done. Have we ever seen the oreo collab?
- 1:41:32Speaker 1: Not with a person.
- 1:41:33Speaker 3: They do have different kinds of oreosy like with men
- 1:41:36Speaker 3: oreos movies right certain movies would have a limited edition.
- 1:41:41Speaker 1: They have carrot cake.
- 1:41:42Speaker 4: They have.
- 1:41:44Speaker 1: Red velvet velvet right now. No Oreo. You ain't never
- 1:41:49Speaker 1: seen no red for red limited at different where y'all shopping.
- 1:41:55Speaker 3: I'm saying because I do some stuff, but red velvet
- 1:41:58Speaker 3: and carrot cake Oreo oreos I ain't numbers now.
- 1:42:01Speaker 1: I have seen the white chocolate kafud.
- 1:42:07Speaker 3: Are they not banana? But the they're the yellow oreo
- 1:42:12Speaker 3: they yellow lemonios.
- 1:42:16Speaker 1: Yes, I've had. Oh no, you can go to the
- 1:42:18Speaker 1: store right now. They have about seven eight different flavors
- 1:42:20Speaker 1: of oreo in this neighborhood.
- 1:42:23Speaker 3: That's another reason. Then my part of town they can't
- 1:42:26Speaker 3: afford seven. They got the two flavors and gone out
- 1:42:29Speaker 3: of here.
- 1:42:30Speaker 1: Target. Three people have been charged after forging Jason Kelsey's
- 1:42:36Speaker 1: signature and using it to sell over one thousand items.
- 1:42:41Speaker 1: They asked the mate. They made around two hundred thousand
- 1:42:44Speaker 1: dollars for these eleven hundred and thirty eight items. And
- 1:42:49Speaker 1: some old people too. You know, when you read stories
- 1:42:52Speaker 1: like this, you think of some of them young whipples snappers.
- 1:42:55Speaker 1: And these people here a fifty one year old Robert
- 1:42:58Speaker 1: Caponi from Philadelphia, forty three forty three year old Lianne Brainco,
- 1:43:05Speaker 1: and thirty nine year old Joseph Peretti all have been
- 1:43:11Speaker 1: charged a soul over eleven hundred and thirty eight items,
- 1:43:15Speaker 1: estimated around two hundred thousand dollars. They forged the signature
- 1:43:20Speaker 1: of Jason Kelcey under these items.
- 1:43:23Speaker 14: So now.
- 1:43:26Speaker 3: I wonder, I wonder how they were caught. Obviously someone
- 1:43:31Speaker 3: had to go, hey, this ain't Jason's signature or something
- 1:43:34Speaker 3: like that. They got caught kind of late because of
- 1:43:36Speaker 3: what as eleven hundred items went out. Do you think
- 1:43:39Speaker 3: that maybe someone was just tracking them to wait to
- 1:43:42Speaker 3: see if they could build up enough evidence. And two
- 1:43:46Speaker 3: hundred thousand dollars is significant for a theft.
- 1:43:51Speaker 1: This is so veil. What is that about? About one
- 1:43:56Speaker 1: hundred and ninety dollars per item? Seems to be at
- 1:44:00Speaker 1: least that least that and see it says eleven hundred
- 1:44:05Speaker 1: and thirty eight items. So yeah, right, so somewhere in there.
- 1:44:08Speaker 1: So most likely those people that was buying them was
- 1:44:11Speaker 1: trying to resell.
- 1:44:12Speaker 3: It, resell it, and they were probably thinking, this is
- 1:44:15Speaker 3: a good bye because it's less than a couple of
- 1:44:17Speaker 3: hundred bucks, I'll be able to sell this.
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: And then somebody went to have it authenticated and yeah,
- 1:44:25Speaker 1: Jason ain't signing this, and they were like, no, he did.
- 1:44:27Speaker 3: And then someone else probably linked up with them and
- 1:44:30Speaker 3: got them caught. Do they have pictures of the assailants
- 1:44:34Speaker 3: I'm trying to find.
- 1:44:36Speaker 1: No, I didn't see any pictures. They did have their names,
- 1:44:39Speaker 1: I didn't. The article I had didn't have a picture
- 1:44:41Speaker 1: of them.
- 1:44:42Speaker 3: Now I'd like to ask you this. These people have
- 1:44:44Speaker 3: been it's one of them looks like to have a
- 1:44:47Speaker 3: picture of Robert Caponi. These people have been caught and
- 1:44:51Speaker 3: are facing prosecution. How often do you think this happens
- 1:44:55Speaker 3: and goes under it?
- 1:44:55Speaker 1: It says that each face sixty charges. That's a lie.
- 1:45:00Speaker 1: So I guess with forgery, you got a whole lot
- 1:45:03Speaker 1: of little tiny oh yeah, and you know, especially if
- 1:45:06Speaker 1: you sold that and all that kind of stuff. Now,
- 1:45:11Speaker 1: each time each state probably is a charge that you
- 1:45:13Speaker 1: send it to that kind of thing.
- 1:45:16Speaker 3: And now, how often do you think this happens and
- 1:45:18Speaker 3: goes undetected that someone sells memorabilia.
- 1:45:24Speaker 1: I would imagine they probably mix it in with real
- 1:45:28Speaker 1: to get you confused. I got a couple items that
- 1:45:31Speaker 1: I really got signed, and I mix it in so
- 1:45:34Speaker 1: I'm not so obvious that everything can't come through here
- 1:45:40Speaker 1: with an X and oh tell us just sounding like
- 1:45:44Speaker 1: that for real?
- 1:45:46Speaker 9: Uh?
- 1:45:46Speaker 1: The f d A has approved a monotherapy nasal spray
- 1:45:50Speaker 1: to treat depression. Is that cocaine? Hold on? Say that again?
- 1:45:55Speaker 1: All I heard was cocaine. The FDA approves SPRA Spravado.
- 1:46:03Speaker 1: It's the first nasal spray to treat depression. So you
- 1:46:09Speaker 1: can get you a nasal spray for your depression. Now, No, No,
- 1:46:13Speaker 1: cocaine's powdered for so in the spray. In the spray,
- 1:46:19Speaker 1: it's more. It's more metan fhetamine. I don't know.
- 1:46:22Speaker 3: I know it sounds like legal trunk, but it sounds
- 1:46:24Speaker 3: like well, legal trump. It sounds like something that I
- 1:46:28Speaker 3: went to prison ten years ago. Because the fight depression,
- 1:46:32Speaker 3: they give you something that gives you some energy.
- 1:46:34Speaker 1: Right, so make you feel ketamine? Is that what it
- 1:46:39Speaker 1: is Oh, is that what is in it?
- 1:46:41Speaker 6: I think so because that I just typed in nasal
- 1:46:44Speaker 6: sprayed depression and the ketamine came up.
- 1:46:47Speaker 1: How long before we start seeing some people on because
- 1:46:51Speaker 1: I'm saying, I'm saying without any shoes. Stop, stop, sir,
- 1:46:56Speaker 1: stop it is it is. Stop. I'm just saying.
- 1:47:01Speaker 3: I was just about to tell the story ketamine. I
- 1:47:03Speaker 3: remember when they used to call it K four. Now
- 1:47:06Speaker 3: that was street drug. And I remember because when I
- 1:47:10Speaker 3: managed the waffle house, I showed up for work one
- 1:47:12Speaker 3: morning about five fifty am and one of my waiters
- 1:47:18Speaker 3: from the night shift was laying horizontally on the ground
- 1:47:24Speaker 3: in front of the restaurant, passed out an a kedemye
- 1:47:29Speaker 3: nod and I woke him up and said, hey, man,
- 1:47:31Speaker 3: what are you doing?
- 1:47:32Speaker 1: He said, really tired? I said, so tired that you
- 1:47:37Speaker 1: sleeping on the sidewalk in front. You know what I'm saying, like,
- 1:47:39Speaker 1: what are you doing?
- 1:47:40Speaker 3: And then when I got him up, and the most
- 1:47:43Speaker 3: I was able to do is get him sitting up,
- 1:47:44Speaker 3: and someone said he's on K four and so they're
- 1:47:47Speaker 3: now legally selling this.
- 1:47:49Speaker 1: That's what I'm trying to get you and Greg to
- 1:47:50Speaker 1: help me out. With y'all just selling some upper night.
- 1:47:55Speaker 1: I ain't got to go to the alleyway no more.
- 1:47:59Speaker 1: For I don't have to wake nobody up on the
- 1:48:02Speaker 1: sidewalk no more. Yea, hen it might not make to
- 1:48:04Speaker 1: your heart. Put on your stomach.
- 1:48:06Speaker 3: Boy, you got to show up with like Apollo Creed
- 1:48:09Speaker 3: with the whole hat and the vest live in.
- 1:48:15Speaker 10: Right after this, John Bowl Wayne Bore of The Sports

- 1:49:40Speaker 18: we push on feeling down.
- 1:49:43Speaker 1: We pull ourselves up by the bootstraps.
- 1:49:46Speaker 18: But there are times when bootstraps aren't enough, when stress
- 1:49:50Speaker 18: gets to us and we need to talk to someone
- 1:49:52Speaker 18: about what we're really going through. So we're going to
- 1:49:55Speaker 18: reach out because sometimes mental health is not a one
- 1:49:58Speaker 18: person job. Is Love your Mind Today dot org. That's
- 1:50:01Speaker 18: Love your Mind Today dot org. Brought to you by
- 1:50:04Speaker 18: the Huntsman Mental Health Institute and the Head Councilor.
- 1:50:08Speaker 1: And now back to the sports John and Wayne Gandy.
- 1:50:13Speaker 14: Now it's time for the school board when we put
- 1:50:17Speaker 14: a spin on light and sports and how they intermingle
- 1:50:21Speaker 14: on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:50:49Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Sport Shock Show. I'm the Swart Shock,
- 1:50:51Speaker 1: Wayne Kandy. Eastern Michigan, the basketball team for the second
- 1:50:57Speaker 1: time this season, has been flagged for irregular betting patterns.
- 1:51:05Speaker 1: Big Kenny, when you started paying players and promoting gambling,
- 1:51:15Speaker 1: then you in command, you Greg, see this coming. We
- 1:51:18Speaker 1: already threw it talking about man irregular betting patterns. What
- 1:51:22Speaker 1: you mean by that?
- 1:51:23Speaker 3: I just said that, command you, Greg, and Eastern Michigan
- 1:51:27Speaker 3: was gonna lose by one point three two seven points
- 1:51:32Speaker 3: and I put a eighteen million dollar play.
- 1:51:34Speaker 1: Oh that, I don't see what's it regular about that
- 1:51:36Speaker 1: at all? Sir? Second time this season? Wait? Wait, wait,
- 1:51:41Speaker 1: now I love that point. Say so, what you're.
- 1:51:44Speaker 3: Saying is you you would like to suggest that just
- 1:51:47Speaker 3: because twice a team lost by one point three four
- 1:51:51Speaker 3: eight seven points in an eighteen million dollar play, that's
- 1:51:55Speaker 3: something inappropriate?
- 1:51:56Speaker 1: What's going on? Yeah? I didn't even know y'all had
- 1:51:58Speaker 1: a basketball team. Oh, dare you go? Where you go?
- 1:52:03Speaker 1: I guess we ain't big enough?
- 1:52:05Speaker 4: Now?
- 1:52:06Speaker 1: Is that what I'm hear? In sports?
- 1:52:08Speaker 3: Jock?
- 1:52:08Speaker 1: I think it was a huge reason that.
- 1:52:14Speaker 14: The pass.
- 1:52:17Speaker 1: Generations fought to remove gambling from sports. They had a mission.
- 1:52:27Speaker 1: It was a reason why now we've lived long enough
- 1:52:31Speaker 1: that we've forgotten the reason. And as they always say,
- 1:52:34Speaker 1: history can repeat itself, and sometimes it repeats itself because
- 1:52:38Speaker 1: people forgot. Now, I'm not saying it's wrong. I'm just saying,
- 1:52:41Speaker 1: why did several generations fight to separate gambling in sports completely?
- 1:52:51Speaker 1: I'm saying, we don't even want to talk about them
- 1:52:56Speaker 1: in the same sentence.
- 1:52:57Speaker 3: They can't be on the same block. We don't want them.
- 1:53:00Speaker 3: I'm living on the same street. It's like two felons,
- 1:53:03Speaker 3: y'all can't communicate at all. But now we're wearing gambling
- 1:53:09Speaker 3: logos on the jerseys of the sports.
- 1:53:12Speaker 1: Teams, professional teams in Las Vegas. Yes, like literally on
- 1:53:18Speaker 1: the strip. It's just sitting there pro TEMs. You look
- 1:53:22Speaker 1: on the you look on the right to the casino,
- 1:53:25Speaker 1: right next to.
- 1:53:26Speaker 3: The casino, and there's a guy who used to give
- 1:53:29Speaker 3: you all of the sports highlights sitting in what he
- 1:53:32Speaker 3: calls Bet Headquarters, handicapping all of these games for you. Hey,
- 1:53:39Speaker 3: what's going on? This is Roy Firestone and I'm here
- 1:53:41Speaker 3: at Bett Headquarters. We're going to take a one and
- 1:53:44Speaker 3: one three eighth quarter under. You see it on eastern Missie.
- 1:53:48Speaker 3: You see the ticker and you see like what games
- 1:53:51Speaker 3: are that night? You see the teams playing, what time
- 1:53:55Speaker 3: and the spread? Yes, so that's you're gonna get there.
- 1:53:58Speaker 3: And now when they got flagged, what does that mean?
- 1:54:01Speaker 3: What is getting flagged?
- 1:54:02Speaker 13: Me?
- 1:54:02Speaker 1: Most likely you start the investigation. Probably what happened they
- 1:54:08Speaker 1: saw the first time must have popped up again. Uh.
- 1:54:12Speaker 1: And we're talking about just for life ever from basketball worldwide,
- 1:54:22Speaker 1: And we've had cases where the Lions players were and
- 1:54:26Speaker 1: the guy here in Atlanta for a year and we
- 1:54:29Speaker 1: named the receiver really Calvin Ridley, like, so it's happening.
- 1:54:34Speaker 1: And what confuses me is how you didn't see it
- 1:54:39Speaker 1: like to me, you know how we try to erase
- 1:54:43Speaker 1: the pass like the past was completely wrong. Sometimes there
- 1:54:47Speaker 1: is something. Sometimes you just took and went to.
- 1:54:52Speaker 3: Screen right now, here's something what you started as was right,
- 1:54:55Speaker 3: and then you just went with it overcorrected.
- 1:54:59Speaker 1: But it was a reason why gambling. And I used
- 1:55:01Speaker 1: to tell people that when I first started playing, the
- 1:55:05Speaker 1: first part of the security meeting was gambling, not firearms,
- 1:55:12Speaker 1: not beating your wife or girlfriend. It was a hard
- 1:55:19Speaker 1: We will basically dismember you if we find out that
- 1:55:25Speaker 1: you're gambling, that you are gambling. And now it's Kurt
- 1:55:29Speaker 1: Warner at two o'clock in the morning telling me, now
- 1:55:33Speaker 1: you ought to take a seven point spread around, but
- 1:55:39Speaker 1: do it responsibly though, like drinking. I want you to gamble,
- 1:55:43Speaker 1: but do it response like my drinking, drink and gamble response.
- 1:55:47Speaker 1: And if you need help, call this Malokai five and
- 1:55:51Speaker 1: sixteens and they do it, respond says went out, drink
- 1:55:55Speaker 1: and gamble. Charlie said that George Gervin is an Eastern
- 1:55:59Speaker 1: Michigan alumni. I sports know that, okay, so, but I
- 1:56:08Speaker 1: want to know bet on an Eastern Michigan game that
- 1:56:11Speaker 1: is That's the Now that's the part.
- 1:56:17Speaker 3: You know how sometimes with crimes they don't release the
- 1:56:19Speaker 3: methodology because they don't want copycats.
- 1:56:22Speaker 1: Are they going to tell us what?
- 1:56:24Speaker 3: Probably not how they got caught, because that's what everybody's
- 1:56:28Speaker 3: looking for now. If they got caught, how do we
- 1:56:30Speaker 3: not get caught the way they got caught? So I
- 1:56:34Speaker 3: want to find out what flagged them?
- 1:56:36Speaker 4: What?
- 1:56:36Speaker 14: Uh?
- 1:56:37Speaker 3: In that Arizona State documentary that I saw, the thing
- 1:56:41Speaker 3: that tipped people off that they were point shaving and
- 1:56:44Speaker 3: involved with gambling was someone placed half a million dollar
- 1:56:49Speaker 3: bet on their game but not for them to win,
- 1:56:52Speaker 3: for them to just cover in points, and that flagged it.
- 1:56:57Speaker 1: So I wonder what Eastern Michigan did. We'll see. But
- 1:57:02Speaker 1: that whole department now for gambling has to be I mean,
- 1:57:08Speaker 1: you gotta find some employees because it's gonna happen. You
- 1:57:12Speaker 1: got people who naturally love the gamble, and then you
- 1:57:15Speaker 1: have people just because we are of the flesh. I
- 1:57:19Speaker 1: can see one big lick if I can just for
- 1:57:22Speaker 1: one night. I ain't a criminal criminal but tonight, and
- 1:57:27Speaker 1: I ain't judge it because we don't know.
- 1:57:29Speaker 3: We just wettempted to hit that lick though, all right,
- 1:57:35Speaker 3: just that juke that what we ain't gonna stay up
- 1:57:39Speaker 3: in this place. We're gonna run up in here, We're
- 1:57:41Speaker 3: gonna run out, and that's it. We're gonna be good
- 1:57:45Speaker 3: from this point. You gotta not be so obvious, though,
- 1:57:50Speaker 3: But I'm saying that's the thing that catch the.
- 1:57:55Speaker 1: Lakers or something. Oh a bunch of people are better
- 1:57:57Speaker 1: the Lakers. But when it's eastern.
- 1:58:00Speaker 3: Body looking for Eastern mich But that's where you make
- 1:58:03Speaker 3: the money, right, Ain't nobody checking on the bets that
- 1:58:08Speaker 3: are not.
- 1:58:08Speaker 1: Doing by yourself? Stop telling people then Kenny, real quick
- 1:58:12Speaker 1: before we go, Commanders Eagles. Who do you have? Commanders? Commandie,
- 1:58:21Speaker 1: Commander's Eagles. I'm going to commanders. Okay, okay, I see
- 1:58:27Speaker 1: gout y'all trying to do that Eastern Michigan not defans
- 1:58:34Speaker 1: on to us. I'm gonna change my picks for us,
- 1:58:36Speaker 1: Jack Eden, I'm gonna go with the commanders too. In
- 1:58:39Speaker 1: that game Chiefs Bills, Bills, chiefs, and I'm gonna go
- 1:58:48Speaker 1: with the Bills.
- 1:58:49Speaker 3: See that throw them off. Though he said chief up,
- 1:58:54Speaker 3: that ain't gonna get us, and we are in the ocean.
- 1:58:59Speaker 14: The truth is he will throw your to the ocean.
- 1:59:03Speaker 14: It's time to wrap things up. On the Sports Jack
- 1:59:06Speaker 14: Show with Wayne Kenny, we use.
- 1:59:29Speaker 1: Out an ocean a give the sports shout testamnute to Vin.
