- 0:00Speaker 1: Yes, what is up your little a little tardy? Don't worry.
- 0:06Speaker 1: We had a ten minute conversation without you. That's great.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Did you record it and it's going to be on
- 0:11Speaker 1: the show? No, because Joel started saying funny ship, and
- 0:14Speaker 1: I was like, save it for the show, Joel, save
- 0:17Speaker 1: it for the show. What she gotta save for the show?
- 0:19Speaker 1: You what? I'm not telling you. I'm gonna work it
- 0:21Speaker 1: seamlessly into conversation. That's what a good podcast. Okay, how
- 0:26Speaker 1: are you my friend? I'm good. How are you playing tennis?
- 0:29Speaker 1: I wish I'm trying to get back to I I
- 0:32Speaker 1: I you asked you saying because of the shirt, Um,
- 0:34Speaker 1: I wish. Maybe I'm secreting it. Maybe I'm manifesting that
- 0:37Speaker 1: I want to play tennis again by wearing the shirt.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Our friend Amanda Clutes has gotten addicted. She's like, you know,
- 0:43Speaker 1: after Nick's death, she said she and this, by the way,
- 0:47Speaker 1: Amanda clus is the queen of manifestation. She's like, I
- 0:50Speaker 1: want to get into a new hobby that helps me
- 0:52Speaker 1: not only take my mind off of it, but is
- 0:55Speaker 1: something I can just embrace and it's a new thing.
- 0:58Speaker 1: And she chose tennis and she plays twice week, and
- 1:00Speaker 1: I watched her videos on she started from zero and
- 1:03Speaker 1: she's like getting that, she's getting good quick. Well, she's
- 1:07Speaker 1: an athlete, she's athletic. She's got that athletic and you know,
- 1:09Speaker 1: because it's Amanda, she's all into the outfits. So every
- 1:11Speaker 1: week is a different like tennis outfit, you know, just
- 1:15Speaker 1: as into the outfits as she isn't in tennis, which
- 1:18Speaker 1: I am too, by the way, which I am to
- 1:20Speaker 1: look good, play good. That's how it goes. I I,
- 1:23Speaker 1: you know, because I never played a sport and I
- 1:25Speaker 1: love tennis and I'm not that good at it, but
- 1:27Speaker 1: I still don't give a funk. I love it. So yeah,
- 1:29Speaker 1: I was for my first time in my life. I
- 1:30Speaker 1: was like, Okay, let me get some dope tennis clothes. Yeah,
- 1:33Speaker 1: you are. It's nothing like looking in the mirror with
- 1:36Speaker 1: your sport of choice in, you know, whether it be
- 1:39Speaker 1: a basketball or a hockey stick, or a golf club
- 1:43Speaker 1: or a tennis right. So do you get all into
- 1:44Speaker 1: golf clothes because I never see what you wear on
- 1:46Speaker 1: the golf course. I was originally and then now not
- 1:50Speaker 1: so much. Uh. You know. P x G. The fine
- 1:53Speaker 1: people over at p x G hook a brother up
- 1:57Speaker 1: with some really nice clothes every now and then and
- 2:00Speaker 1: saying picks. Since you're getting all these free shoutouts from Donald,
- 2:03Speaker 1: I don't know why you're doing it once in a while.
- 2:05Speaker 1: I mean, send this fucking dude the giant box, I
- 2:08Speaker 1: mean several boxes. Maybe not curing. I'm sorry, p x G.
- 2:14Speaker 1: If we're gonna give you free advertising for golfwear, I
- 2:17Speaker 1: want to fucking truck to back up again. Oh sorry,
- 2:23Speaker 1: I'm very passionate about this. Donald and I used to
- 2:25Speaker 1: go to Nike, this Nike store, this hidden Nike store
- 2:29Speaker 1: in Marina del Ray. Donald was the one who introduced
- 2:31Speaker 1: me to this because I was not famous obviously before Scrubs.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Donald was. And he's like, oh, dude, you have no
- 2:37Speaker 1: idea what's coming. And you go to this secret Nike
- 2:42Speaker 1: town in Marina del Rey, right, Donald, And picture a
- 2:46Speaker 1: giant Nike town that you've been in, except picture there's
- 2:49Speaker 1: no cash register and you're just like that. That that,
- 2:54Speaker 1: and a woman's walking around, very nice and she's just
- 2:57Speaker 1: on her little iPad making notes. Shout out and Racy,
- 3:00Speaker 1: shout out Tracy from Nike. Shout out Tracy from Nike.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Although we haven't heard from you in a minute, Tracy,
- 3:07Speaker 1: have been off there for a while. So anyway, they
- 3:11Speaker 1: give you a ton of free night because they just
- 3:13Speaker 1: want you out and about wearing Nike. And then on
- 3:15Speaker 1: Scrubs they would always send this tons of Nike. But
- 3:17Speaker 1: I but I remember when we were on scumes and
- 3:18Speaker 1: I did a play with Jimmy Smits and he had
- 3:22Speaker 1: been on Law and Order forever and I was showing
- 3:24Speaker 1: off my new Nike ship to him and he's like, oh, Tracy,
- 3:27Speaker 1: and I go yeah, yeah, he goes, yeah. That kind
- 3:29Speaker 1: of stops when you're off your TV show. I was like,
- 3:32Speaker 1: and in my head, I'm thinking like, oh, Jimmy Smits,
- 3:35Speaker 1: not mean while I haven't heard from Tracy forever. Good
- 3:44Speaker 1: times anyway, So I still am loyal the Nike. I
- 3:49Speaker 1: gotta say, even though I don't get the free swag anymore.
- 3:52Speaker 1: I I I love Nike sneakers. Yeah same here, I
- 3:55Speaker 1: still buy I buy now. You know. Yeah, we're making it.
- 3:58Speaker 1: We're making it up for all the free times. High friends.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Welcome to the program, fake doctors, real friends. We have
- 4:07Speaker 1: a very exciting guests. The most handsome man in television
- 4:09Speaker 1: is here, Scott fully today to talk about sea World
- 4:13Speaker 1: and all things Sarah Chalk. Are we gonna talk about
- 4:16Speaker 1: sea World? Are we gonna really get into what sea
- 4:18Speaker 1: World turned into after our scrubs up sub Sea World
- 4:22Speaker 1: didn't turn into anything. It was always that we didn't
- 4:26Speaker 1: know that I know, and I think we should talk
- 4:29Speaker 1: openly about all things sea World, what our impressions were
- 4:32Speaker 1: after watching the documentary Blackfish. I mean, I don't even
- 4:35Speaker 1: want to go to zoos anymore. I feel as I understand,
- 4:40Speaker 1: I totally understand if you're already yelling at you're listening
- 4:43Speaker 1: to Vice going Zach. My kids love zoos. I get it.
- 4:45Speaker 1: It might it might be a blast to take a
- 4:47Speaker 1: child to a zoo. But I'm telling you, as an adult,
- 4:51Speaker 1: and even maybe after the documentary black Fish, I look
- 4:53Speaker 1: at zoos totally differently these days. Absolutely, you're bringing fully
- 4:57Speaker 1: because um or do you want to see? How do
- 4:59Speaker 1: you want to do it? There's so much to talk about. Donald.
- 5:01Speaker 1: We have to talk about our voting thing, which is
- 5:04Speaker 1: which is often running. Go to headcount dot org slash
- 5:07Speaker 1: Zach and Donald to register to vote or to check
- 5:12Speaker 1: your registration. I've been so happy today, Donald, because on
- 5:15Speaker 1: my Instagram. There's been so many people saying stuff like,
- 5:19Speaker 1: you know, I was just doing this to give you
- 5:20Speaker 1: guys some points towards your goal of the Apple TEENA
- 5:23Speaker 1: making and I realized they had my middle name wrong.
- 5:25Speaker 1: You totally helped me out. Or someone said, you know what,
- 5:27Speaker 1: I've never voted, but because of this, okay, I'll register.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Like we're even if it's like small and anecdotal dial
- 5:33Speaker 1: we're making a tiny difference. Interviews. Oh yeah, Joel telling
- 5:37Speaker 1: your story. Yeah, so I moved and I stopped driving,
- 5:42Speaker 1: and so I don't have a California state driver's license anymore.
- 5:45Speaker 1: And that is how you get automatically registered out here.
- 5:48Speaker 1: So I too, was just doing my producer due diligence,
- 5:50Speaker 1: be like, oh, I wonder if there'll be any hiccups,
- 5:52Speaker 1: or like it's a very smooth process. By the way,
- 5:54Speaker 1: there are no hippus smooth and uh. So I checked
- 5:56Speaker 1: and it was like, you're not registered, and I was like, no,
- 5:59Speaker 1: it's very wet registered. Donald, I would have cried so hard.
- 6:03Speaker 1: It would have been really upset. If I couldn't have voted.
- 6:06Speaker 1: I would have been so shocked and I would have
- 6:08Speaker 1: called you a hypocrite. For not checking on your stuff.
- 6:11Speaker 1: But and but and but thankfully, Joel, you did your
- 6:16Speaker 1: due diligence. You did what you had to do. And
- 6:18Speaker 1: you and you and you and you and you registered
- 6:20Speaker 1: to vote. Therefore, Zach, we are fourteen hundred and we
- 6:30Speaker 1: don't know. I'm waiting here anyway. This is gonna air Thursday, obviously,
- 6:34Speaker 1: and it's Tuesday today. I have no idea where we are.
- 6:37Speaker 1: But we just launched today. But I'm I'm I'm all excited.
- 6:40Speaker 1: It isn't the red bull talking. I'm really am titilated.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Did you have a red bull again today? I had
- 6:44Speaker 1: a red bull? I I spawn on Peloton. Did you
- 6:46Speaker 1: did you spend today? I didn't have been doing school
- 6:49Speaker 1: all more on, buddy, You're supposed to be my spin buddy.
- 6:53Speaker 1: I will spend later. I'm sorry to be my spin partners.
- 6:56Speaker 1: We can track our progress eventually when I'm when I'm
- 6:59Speaker 1: good enough, I can look at your user name and
- 7:01Speaker 1: I can be like fast dude. You can send high fives,
- 7:07Speaker 1: you know, you can send virtual high five high five
- 7:10Speaker 1: out of you, and I will accept your high fives
- 7:12Speaker 1: and high five virtually high five you back. Let's get
- 7:14Speaker 1: Let's get Scott foldy up, all right, bring in Folly. Well,
- 7:17Speaker 1: maybe we'll let him counts in. It's a good idea.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Oh my god, the thunderous applause. Dan Scott Polly turned
- 7:28Speaker 1: my key, I turned my key, Scott actually, Scott Folly,
- 7:34Speaker 1: Oh my god. You know you know why, you know why,
- 7:36Speaker 1: you know why. It's even harder to look at Scott
- 7:37Speaker 1: fully because Donald and I med a video to get
- 7:40Speaker 1: people to vote Scott fully and uh, and a handful
- 7:43Speaker 1: of people are like, wow, you got old, and it
- 7:45Speaker 1: really hurts, It really hurts, and uh, and they say
- 7:49Speaker 1: they say negative things and and they always put the
- 7:52Speaker 1: emoji of the crying laughing thing. Right, I d to
- 7:57Speaker 1: be like just kidding kind of ship. And it's like,
- 7:59Speaker 1: I I don't like you right if we were, if
- 8:03Speaker 1: we were, if this were a real world, we wouldn't
- 8:07Speaker 1: be friends because you told me I now look old.
- 8:10Speaker 1: I'm forty five. We made the show when I was twenty.
- 8:13Speaker 1: What do you want for men? Fully? Sorry, welcome to
- 8:17Speaker 1: the program. Thanks man. Are you saying that I look old? No? No,
- 8:22Speaker 1: I'm saying I get triggered. I get triggered by looking
- 8:25Speaker 1: at your beautiful face. About the gray in my beard
- 8:30Speaker 1: because you wear a well you're fucking TV Scott Fully.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Look how handsome he is. Donald, He's very handsome. I've
- 8:36Speaker 1: known this for a really long time. Though I've known
- 8:38Speaker 1: this forever. Where did he put you on the spot?
- 8:40Speaker 1: The only reason Scott Fully comes on the show is
- 8:42Speaker 1: because we spend the first ten minutes talking about hotties.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Because my life, my I spend my life with my
- 8:49Speaker 1: wife was like, go do something productive, and she doesn't
- 8:52Speaker 1: care what I look like anymore. Where are you? Scott Fully?
- 8:56Speaker 1: He's in theater. He's got to be a movie theater.
- 9:00Speaker 1: I'm in my movie theater. Are you really? No? Man? No,
- 9:08Speaker 1: where are you Scuffully? I'm in my movie theater. Am
- 9:17Speaker 1: we got a screening room? By the way. I totally
- 9:20Speaker 1: thought he was being stupid, and then you and then
- 9:23Speaker 1: you said it's sort of like, yeah, I'm in my
- 9:24Speaker 1: movie theater. And then he spins the camera around to
- 9:27Speaker 1: reveal his fucking dope screening room. I had the hint
- 9:31Speaker 1: was the Scream three uh poster in the background. I
- 9:34Speaker 1: was like, yeah, are you in Scream three? Scuffully? Are
- 9:38Speaker 1: you kidding? I was in that that third one? Yes,
- 9:40Speaker 1: I was Donald have you seen Scream three? I've seen three? Yes,
- 9:44Speaker 1: I have. Really, yeah, dude, have you seen Scream? We
- 9:48Speaker 1: were okay, we were doing for listening around the time
- 9:53Speaker 1: you were doing Scream three. That's right, that's right, that's right, yes,
- 9:57Speaker 1: I I look, here's the excuse for the screening room
- 10:00Speaker 1: is I just moved from l A to the East
- 10:03Speaker 1: coast where things are much more affordable over here, and
- 10:05Speaker 1: you can get a house with a screening room. Well
- 10:07Speaker 1: where not gradually? No? Not not New York City, Connecticut? Okay, Well,
- 10:13Speaker 1: now why did you move for in Connecticut? Right now?
- 10:15Speaker 1: I'm in Connecticut right now, and you've got a movie
- 10:18Speaker 1: theater that quick? You do? You don't? Your money travels fast? Man?
- 10:22Speaker 1: To be scott Fully, he can have a fucking screening room, bro,
- 10:25Speaker 1: he was. He was just in Calabasa's like five days ago.
- 10:28Speaker 1: It seems like now all of a sudden he lives
- 10:30Speaker 1: in Connecticut. And was this for work or for just
- 10:34Speaker 1: life change? Just a life change, you know, with with
- 10:37Speaker 1: everything happening in the world. My wife has has wanted
- 10:40Speaker 1: to be close to her family for years now, and
- 10:42Speaker 1: I you know, what do you do? You can only
- 10:45Speaker 1: fight with your wife for so long. So I was like, yeah, sure,
- 10:48Speaker 1: so you're one of the people that moved out of California,
- 10:51Speaker 1: that's me and and it seems like maybe at the
- 10:53Speaker 1: right time. Yeah, well, I'm not going to allow you
- 10:55Speaker 1: to ship talk California. It's got Fully, it's nine today
- 10:58Speaker 1: and it's uh no, no, no, no, it's a it's
- 11:00Speaker 1: a hundred degrees to degrees today, and it's the valley.
- 11:03Speaker 1: It's probably gonna be one forty over there. It's gonna
- 11:06Speaker 1: get up to one, uh oh, three or four today.
- 11:10Speaker 1: I'm not gonna let you ship talk the valley here. Sorry, sorry,
- 11:14Speaker 1: but Scott, Fully, it does get hotter in the valley.
- 11:17Speaker 1: I mean, come on, it does. But a hundred and
- 11:19Speaker 1: forty let's be let's be honest here, maybe right, that's
- 11:24Speaker 1: the record bright. You can feel it when you drive
- 11:27Speaker 1: from Hollywood over the hill in the valley all of
- 11:29Speaker 1: a sudden you rolled on your windows and you're like, oh, oh,
- 11:32Speaker 1: it's hotter here, it's hotter there. That definitely is. But
- 11:35Speaker 1: I do I do miss it a little bit. But
- 11:37Speaker 1: I'm happy to be here on a nice rainy day
- 11:38Speaker 1: in Connecticut with you guys. We're so happy to have
- 11:42Speaker 1: you you know, when we first had you on, I said,
- 11:45Speaker 1: we've got to have Scott back when he forlornly rds
- 11:48Speaker 1: a dolphin, which is one of my favorite moments in
- 11:50Speaker 1: Scrubs history. I didn't realize it was coming up so
- 11:53Speaker 1: quickly here the second episode of the third season. Um,
- 11:58Speaker 1: but there it is. You were forlornly riding a dolphin.
- 12:01Speaker 1: I was forlornly, right. I didn't realize it was coming
- 12:03Speaker 1: up so quickly either. And I haven't seen that episode
- 12:06Speaker 1: and probably ten years, and I watched it today with
- 12:09Speaker 1: my wife before this podcast, and when that scene came on,
- 12:11Speaker 1: was like, babe, babe, forlornly. I was that see that?
- 12:14Speaker 1: She was like? The reason was that the direction Marke
- 12:20Speaker 1: Spiller gave you. No, that's in the screen direction. It
- 12:23Speaker 1: was written in the script Sean forlornly rides of dolphins. Yeah,
- 12:30Speaker 1: that's why I love it. It It was in the script.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Well well done, well thanks. It's, by the way, it's
- 12:36Speaker 1: harder to do than you would expect, because you're so
- 12:38Speaker 1: excited to actually be writing a dolphin to turn to
- 12:42Speaker 1: turn that excitement other than happiness, Scott. Are you saying
- 12:49Speaker 1: that one of the hardest acting moments you've had to
- 12:51Speaker 1: do turn your your utter glee and writing a dolphin
- 12:55Speaker 1: into being forlorn. Yes, imagine getting the opportunity to be
- 13:01Speaker 1: at Sea World, to be in the tank, writing a dolphin,
- 13:03Speaker 1: holding onto the fin, and to I have to act
- 13:06Speaker 1: like you're not the happiest man in the world. More
- 13:09Speaker 1: for Lawrence got more? Yeah, I mean you know that,
- 13:14Speaker 1: you you You listeners who love the show never got
- 13:17Speaker 1: to read some of the screen direction, which was often
- 13:20Speaker 1: funny and uh and I think one of the best
- 13:22Speaker 1: lines ever was in the script Sean for lorn Lee
- 13:25Speaker 1: rides a dolphin. Yeah. Yeah, And and you know Mr
- 13:28Speaker 1: Lawrence will tell you that it is still to this
- 13:30Speaker 1: day one of his favorite screen directions that he's ever
- 13:33Speaker 1: written or read. I don't know if you wrote it.
- 13:36Speaker 1: He loves it. Okay, I have a question. Are you
- 13:38Speaker 1: still doing school in l a and stuff like that? Then? No,
- 13:41Speaker 1: they go to school here. Public school is good here. Donald,
- 13:44Speaker 1: How long how long have you been in Connecticut? For? Uh?
- 13:47Speaker 1: Two months? Two months? You know? Donald? If you bring
- 13:51Speaker 1: your kids to Connecticut and then you can send in
- 13:53Speaker 1: the public school, all that extra money goes to a
- 13:55Speaker 1: nice screening room. Well, yeah, I mean, let's be honest
- 13:59Speaker 1: with every one out there. If you live in California,
- 14:01Speaker 1: you're probably playing way more than you would pay anywhere
- 14:04Speaker 1: else in the country for a housing and a place
- 14:07Speaker 1: to live. So not in Manhattan. But yeah, well come on, man,
- 14:10Speaker 1: I mean that that's the other place. If you're on
- 14:13Speaker 1: either coast and you live in San Francisco or freaking
- 14:17Speaker 1: uh just the state of California alone, or the or
- 14:21Speaker 1: the island of Manhattan, right, the Island of Manhattan, you
- 14:25Speaker 1: are paying out that fuck just the host noth in
- 14:28Speaker 1: the Island of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, all the
- 14:34Speaker 1: all the five boroughs, all the boroughs. If you live
- 14:37Speaker 1: on one of those things, you're paying out your ass man.
- 14:39Speaker 1: And so yeah, Connecticut I would love to move to.
- 14:42Speaker 1: I remember when Connecticut was like the rich people. I
- 14:44Speaker 1: mean Scott's rich obviously, but I mean he got a
- 14:46Speaker 1: movie theater. He got a movie theater. He got a
- 14:48Speaker 1: movie theater. You can't say you got there. How am
- 14:54Speaker 1: I putting him on blast? He got a movie theater.
- 14:59Speaker 1: It's not like a ler. He doesn't have Farnsworth, Bentley
- 15:02Speaker 1: and in Walks Jeeves. Right, So you're Walter, Now I'm
- 15:09Speaker 1: busy Walter fully, Um, Donald, we never started the saying
- 15:15Speaker 1: the theme song, do you want to do? You want
- 15:17Speaker 1: to lead us in song? I think should do it?
- 15:19Speaker 1: Scott fully? Do you know how to count into a song? Um?
- 15:22Speaker 1: By saying five six seven eight it's an honor we
- 15:24Speaker 1: only bestow on certain people. He did it last time.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Oh I forgot, I'm sorry five six seven eight about
- 15:33Speaker 1: show we made about a bunch of dots and nurses
- 15:38Speaker 1: and said, stories around here are yeah, around here are Scott.
- 15:56Speaker 1: We've been talking a little more about fitness lately because
- 15:58Speaker 1: Donald and I are trying to get in shape. We've
- 16:01Speaker 1: entered the quarantine phase where we're trying to get in shape.
- 16:05Speaker 1: We've both been spinning using peloton. We've both been working
- 16:09Speaker 1: out a bit. You've always seemed like a super fit guy.
- 16:11Speaker 1: How do you what's your what's your regiment for the
- 16:13Speaker 1: people who are you know? We also had a lot
- 16:15Speaker 1: of people in all seriousness that have told us they
- 16:17Speaker 1: listen to the podcast while they walk. It's got them doing,
- 16:20Speaker 1: you know, beginning the process some of the hike or
- 16:22Speaker 1: they cycle or whatever they do. It's got the moving
- 16:24Speaker 1: a bit. One guy we had on the show said
- 16:26Speaker 1: he lost thirty pounds since the show started. So we've
- 16:29Speaker 1: kind of excited that we're monivating people a little bit.
- 16:31Speaker 1: And I wondered if you if you could tell people
- 16:33Speaker 1: what you're up to because you're always in shape. Oh,
- 16:35Speaker 1: that's very kind of you. I think. I think the
- 16:36Speaker 1: trick is seeming to always be in shape, isn't it? Um?
- 16:42Speaker 1: Um No, man, you know I've been uh I. One
- 16:46Speaker 1: of the great things I think about doing what we
- 16:48Speaker 1: do is that you sort of have to keep yourself
- 16:50Speaker 1: in a uh some semblance of physical fitness, right and
- 16:55Speaker 1: and I've been lucky enough to um have trainers throughout
- 16:59Speaker 1: the years that have uh off and on that have
- 17:02Speaker 1: taught me what to do and how to keep myself
- 17:04Speaker 1: in shape and how to get sort of camera ready
- 17:06Speaker 1: should I need to in a certain amount of days. Um.
- 17:09Speaker 1: But my my daily routine is pretty simple. As as
- 17:12Speaker 1: I'm sitting in front of you. I'm forty eight years old.
- 17:15Speaker 1: So I wake up every morning and can't move because
- 17:17Speaker 1: I'm sore everywhere. So I wake up and I stretched
- 17:20Speaker 1: for probably fifteen twenty minutes, just basic touching the toes
- 17:25Speaker 1: sort of yoga stuff downward dog, and then I'll probably
- 17:27Speaker 1: spend twenty minutes either on the peloton or on an
- 17:30Speaker 1: elliptical machine. I also got a rowing machine. That's the
- 17:33Speaker 1: other thing about buying a house in Connecticut. You got
- 17:35Speaker 1: a gym in your house? Yeah? Wait, so you got
- 17:37Speaker 1: a movie theater and a gym in your house? Yeah, Connecticut, Donald, Yeah, Um,
- 17:42Speaker 1: let's both move there. Um, this is a weird tribute.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Did you get I don't have I don't I don't
- 17:47Speaker 1: have a pool. I don't even have a I don't
- 17:49Speaker 1: have a pool. Well you have forty thou children, scott Um.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Did you get into rowing because of Tony Goldman, our friend?
- 17:56Speaker 1: Because he's that's his That's how he keeps fit. That
- 17:59Speaker 1: is how he keeps fit. Tony is a good rower
- 18:01Speaker 1: and a really sort of avid jogger as well. I
- 18:04Speaker 1: did not. I found it. Uh what did I find out?
- 18:08Speaker 1: I was in when we were shooting Whiskey Cavalier in Prague.
- 18:11Speaker 1: I needed some sort of exercise equipment in the place
- 18:14Speaker 1: I went. The guy was like, I have rowing machine,
- 18:17Speaker 1: and I was like, well, I guess that's what I'm
- 18:18Speaker 1: gonna take. And that was that was how I got started.
- 18:22Speaker 1: And I only do. It's tough, Like you can't do
- 18:24Speaker 1: twenty minutes, dude, and you're it's exhausting. So I do, like,
- 18:31Speaker 1: you know, five minutes in the beginning of a workout,
- 18:33Speaker 1: five minutes at the end, just sort of keep the
- 18:34Speaker 1: heart rate up. Tony Goldman, who was the President United
- 18:37Speaker 1: States in in Scott's fancy show Scandal, Um and I
- 18:42Speaker 1: made a film together and he was always ripped. I
- 18:44Speaker 1: don't know how old he is now, but he's like
- 18:45Speaker 1: the most ripped guy, uh in his over fifty that
- 18:50Speaker 1: I know. Unicorn for his age. Yeah, well, yeah, for
- 18:57Speaker 1: his age, I'm sure. Yeah. And he's also not not
- 18:59Speaker 1: not to move international movie star with, you know, probably
- 19:03Speaker 1: a trainer every day and a chef every day. You know,
- 19:06Speaker 1: he does it all on his own, and for the
- 19:07Speaker 1: most part it was a rolling machine. What are you
- 19:09Speaker 1: smiling at, Scott? Am I wrong? He has a chef, trainer.
- 19:12Speaker 1: He's a Goldwin. I mean you gotta remember, oh yeah,
- 19:14Speaker 1: his grandmother is Samuel Goldwan. No, he is. Tony's a
- 19:19Speaker 1: unicorn though, like it was always the thing on Scandal.
- 19:22Speaker 1: I'd have a shirts off scene, like a love scene
- 19:24Speaker 1: with Kerry Washington, and Tony would be a craft service
- 19:27Speaker 1: with his shirt off, eating donuts like just to make
- 19:30Speaker 1: me feel like a big piece of ship. Uh. He's
- 19:33Speaker 1: an amazing human. But the it just doesn't it doesn't
- 19:37Speaker 1: work like that for most people. You know. It's it
- 19:39Speaker 1: takes work, It takes a lot of commitment. I'm I
- 19:42Speaker 1: think the older you get, the more time you gotta
- 19:45Speaker 1: put in, the more time it takes to lose whatever
- 19:46Speaker 1: you gained. That's right for all of us, except for Donald.
- 19:50Speaker 1: What are you talking about. I'm the heaviest I've ever
- 19:52Speaker 1: been in my life. Yeah, he's thick. People on the
- 19:54Speaker 1: Instagram said, he's th h I c C. I don't
- 19:57Speaker 1: even know what that means. That that that's that's that
- 20:00Speaker 1: good thick. That's that good. That's good. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 20:02Speaker 1: that's that good thick. Now this is that time. This
- 20:05Speaker 1: is that time during the pandemic where it's been like
- 20:07Speaker 1: six months and we all should be in shape by now,
- 20:11Speaker 1: but we're realizing like, oh, oh this might end soon
- 20:15Speaker 1: and I'm gonna be a big fatty right, I'm gonna
- 20:17Speaker 1: be a beast. Yeah, but it's all you also were
- 20:20Speaker 1: called swollen, Donald, What does that mean? It means my
- 20:23Speaker 1: muscles are freaking swollen. Okay, so you were getting indirect compliments.
- 20:28Speaker 1: I thought they were disses. I was called old and
- 20:30Speaker 1: you were called swollen and thick. Yeah. I was also
- 20:34Speaker 1: called freaking the dude from West World. So yeah, by me,
- 20:38Speaker 1: that was funny, though not just you, not just you.
- 20:42Speaker 1: People like somebody called me uncle Phil. He was taller
- 20:53Speaker 1: than you though, right, much taller than yeah. Yeah, yeah,
- 20:56Speaker 1: oh my god, that's funny. First things, first, rest in peace,
- 21:01Speaker 1: Uncle Phil. You don't look like you do. You do
- 21:05Speaker 1: look like um what's his name? But he's very handsome
- 21:08Speaker 1: and he's a very fine actor. Uh, okay, thank you
- 21:12Speaker 1: Jeffrey right. I love that. I love that you said
- 21:14Speaker 1: that about him. You do look like Jeffrey Wright, except
- 21:16Speaker 1: that he is a handsome man. That somebody said, I said,
- 21:19Speaker 1: you do look like Jeffrey right, And not only is
- 21:21Speaker 1: he a handsome man in my estimation, but he's also
- 21:23Speaker 1: a phenomenal actor. I think that's a compliment. Saying look
- 21:26Speaker 1: like Uncle Phil is a bit of a Disrest in peace,
- 21:29Speaker 1: Uncle Phil. Uncle Phil has loved throughout the world. Uncle
- 21:33Speaker 1: Phil raids mad kids, man. Uncle Phil rais mad kids
- 21:38Speaker 1: just by being Uncle Phil. On television. Okay, I'm just
- 21:41Speaker 1: saying that I'd rather be called Jeffrey right than Uncle Phil,
- 21:43Speaker 1: but you might be different for you. No, man, he's
- 21:47Speaker 1: one of the best in the history of TV. Whenever
- 21:49Speaker 1: Donald and I take a picture together these days, Scott,
- 21:52Speaker 1: they say things like, Wow, Donald an age black, don't crack?
- 21:55Speaker 1: What happened is Zach? And it hurts my hurts my heart?
- 21:59Speaker 1: Cage in the rhymes, Well, everybody really rhymes. Was about
- 22:02Speaker 1: to say everything rhymes. That's why they do that ship dude, Wow,
- 22:05Speaker 1: Donald looks good, Black, don't crack? What happened to Zach?
- 22:10Speaker 1: I told you I could freestyle Donald should Oh yeah,
- 22:15Speaker 1: so Donald? These days, Scott, I don't know if we
- 22:17Speaker 1: had this feature when you were on last Donald does
- 22:19Speaker 1: a thirty seven Summation's supposed to be uh, it's roughly
- 22:26Speaker 1: thirty seconds, but he never hits that goal, and we
- 22:28Speaker 1: don't penalize him in any way even though we should.
- 22:32Speaker 1: I have heard it, and I'm very impressed with with
- 22:35Speaker 1: with actually the time you've been putting into your summaries
- 22:39Speaker 1: and the fact that you get it all out and
- 22:41Speaker 1: they're usually I say that because I haven't heard all
- 22:44Speaker 1: of them. But the ones I've heard are spot on
- 22:47Speaker 1: my friend, Oh boy, here we go, and on that note,
- 22:49Speaker 1: here we go. He's right, he's right, he's right, all right,
- 22:51Speaker 1: Ready and go. Turk and Carla have set the date
- 22:55Speaker 1: for their wedding. J D Fierce his friendship to Turk
- 22:57Speaker 1: will not have to take a back seat to his
- 23:00Speaker 1: US frinds future. Just when Elliott switches up her style,
- 23:03Speaker 1: she's revisited by an old flame, and Laburne is in
- 23:07Speaker 1: desperate need of a dentist. This episode is about how
- 23:11Speaker 1: hard relationships are to manage. The expectations are so high,
- 23:15Speaker 1: and you make yourself so vulnerable, and there are so
- 23:19Speaker 1: many distractions and other commitments and responsibilities to have in
- 23:23Speaker 1: a relationship. But when you truly have someone, you make
- 23:26Speaker 1: it work. You sacrifice. Amen. I like that one because
- 23:34Speaker 1: it is about sacrifice. Um. But let's get to the headline,
- 23:37Speaker 1: which is the Turk's homophobic I would have never guess,
- 23:41Speaker 1: I wouldn't. I never remember this either. Dude never comes
- 23:44Speaker 1: out of nowhere, not to dis our overlord Mr William
- 23:48Speaker 1: van Deuser, Lawrence the Third or the fourth, whatever the
- 23:51Speaker 1: hell he is. But I didn't understand why all of
- 23:54Speaker 1: a sudden Turk's homophobic. I mean, he shows no signs
- 23:57Speaker 1: of that in the first two seasons. He's as close
- 24:00Speaker 1: with with his best friend as can be. Um. We
- 24:04Speaker 1: we we we we were very open with our with
- 24:08Speaker 1: our feelings, and we're very open with our ability to
- 24:12Speaker 1: hug and touch each other. And then all of a sudden,
- 24:15Speaker 1: Turk's homophobic. I didn't get it, did you. I didn't
- 24:17Speaker 1: get it. I didn't get it either. I was very
- 24:19Speaker 1: caught off god by that. I think it was more
- 24:21Speaker 1: of a reason to have Uh. I don't know. I
- 24:24Speaker 1: don't I can't explain it. I can't. I can't explain
- 24:26Speaker 1: this to you. I can't explain why Autumn nowhere, all
- 24:28Speaker 1: of a sudden Turk was homophobic. Yeah, I didn't get it.
- 24:32Speaker 1: And then and then it solved so quickly, like so
- 24:34Speaker 1: then the guy kind of confronts him and like, it
- 24:36Speaker 1: seems like you're not really comfortable with this. And then
- 24:39Speaker 1: then you do something a homophobic person probably wouldn't do.
- 24:43Speaker 1: Down on the bed, get on the bed right up
- 24:47Speaker 1: next to him and get sort of intimate, and you're
- 24:50Speaker 1: like and then you talk about your fear of intimacy,
- 24:52Speaker 1: which is bullshit. You haven't had any fear of intimacy
- 24:54Speaker 1: thus far. I don't know. I didn't. I didn't. I
- 24:57Speaker 1: didn't understand. I was caught off god by this and
- 24:59Speaker 1: I and remember this either. That was the other thing.
- 25:01Speaker 1: It was like, wait a second, I don't remember any
- 25:03Speaker 1: of this from I know. It was really bizarre. And
- 25:06Speaker 1: I also noticed that when the guy's partner comes in
- 25:10Speaker 1: and says goodbye, good luck on your surgery, he kisses
- 25:12Speaker 1: him on the forehead. Yeah, like like like who would
- 25:16Speaker 1: never do that? Your your your partners going into surgery
- 25:18Speaker 1: and you're saying goodbye and you give him It was
- 25:20Speaker 1: such like a It felt like such a vestige of
- 25:22Speaker 1: two thousand and two television, like let's have that kiss
- 25:26Speaker 1: beyond the forehead, right, the forehead sets plenty, trust me,
- 25:32Speaker 1: you can imagine like the networking like foreheads good thank you.
- 25:42Speaker 1: I was impressed though, even even though you didn't you
- 25:44Speaker 1: don't remember it, And that was one of the questions
- 25:46Speaker 1: I had for you in this, like was it a
- 25:48Speaker 1: surprise when you read it, because it seems like the
- 25:51Speaker 1: friendship you and j D and Turk and j D
- 25:53Speaker 1: have towes that line um at certain points. You know what,
- 25:57Speaker 1: I mean, but that said, you had some actions in
- 26:00Speaker 1: there that made me laugh out loud. Yeah, I mean,
- 26:04Speaker 1: I cringed at the fact that I cringed out a
- 26:07Speaker 1: lot of my reactions because they were reactions to these
- 26:10Speaker 1: two men and their love for each other, you know
- 26:14Speaker 1: what I mean. Like I at one point, I even
- 26:16Speaker 1: make the face like it's almost nauseating. Yeah, I mean,
- 26:20Speaker 1: and it was like a second, what the fuck? Like
- 26:23Speaker 1: this really comes out of nowhere. And I'm sure back
- 26:25Speaker 1: back when we shot this, I was thinking, you know,
- 26:28Speaker 1: this will be groundbreaking, We're gonna talk about, you know,
- 26:33Speaker 1: homosexuality on television, and I'm so happy to be the
- 26:37Speaker 1: character that has to learn this lesson, you know what
- 26:39Speaker 1: I mean. And but when you look back at it now,
- 26:42Speaker 1: at the whole, you know, at the show as a
- 26:46Speaker 1: as a full circle or as a as a thing,
- 26:49Speaker 1: it doesn't fit. It's like it's like it doesn't a
- 26:51Speaker 1: little out of place, like someone else should have been
- 26:53Speaker 1: the one to be needing to learn that lesson. It
- 26:55Speaker 1: certainly didn't feel like it was Turk's lesson to learn,
- 26:58Speaker 1: like it might have been, Like I don't even think
- 27:00Speaker 1: it's I don't even think Rob would learn that I
- 27:02Speaker 1: don't even because we learned that the Todd. One thing
- 27:05Speaker 1: that's funny about the Todd is that you think he's
- 27:07Speaker 1: just a gross alpha male sexual innuendo guy for for
- 27:14Speaker 1: for women, And then we turned out, no, he's into men,
- 27:16Speaker 1: he's in the old people, he's moysto monkeys. He's down
- 27:21Speaker 1: with a monkey like everything's he never hooks up with
- 27:24Speaker 1: a monkey. He just asked, where is said monkey? He says,
- 27:27Speaker 1: where is said monkey? There's a monkey at a monkey
- 27:31Speaker 1: has a monkey at the zoo that is something like
- 27:34Speaker 1: biting biting another monkey on the butt or something like that,
- 27:37Speaker 1: something fresh that the monkey was doing, either to another
- 27:40Speaker 1: monkey or two people who came to visit the monkey.
- 27:43Speaker 1: And Rob was like, no, sorry. The Todd was like,
- 27:47Speaker 1: I want to go and have this happened to me?
- 27:49Speaker 1: Where is said monkey? Where is said monkey? He said?
- 27:53Speaker 1: His actual line was, kid, listen to me right now.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Where is said monkey? That said though, and I know
- 28:02Speaker 1: we're not at that part of the show, but we're
- 28:04Speaker 1: talking about it like I did. I thought it was
- 28:06Speaker 1: a great bit that I didn't see coming when we
- 28:08Speaker 1: first met the patient. The fact that that they were
- 28:12Speaker 1: basically your doppelgangers, right, yeah, like I didn't. I didn't.
- 28:16Speaker 1: I didn't know I was. I was like, is that
- 28:18Speaker 1: Josh Grobin? And then when I realized it was when
- 28:21Speaker 1: I realized it wasn't and was supposed to look like Zack.
- 28:23Speaker 1: It wasn't until his black husband came in. I was like,
- 28:26Speaker 1: oh oh, and they were dressed simily. I got it. Yeah,
- 28:29Speaker 1: but that like made Turk look wins. He like looked like,
- 28:32Speaker 1: oh my god, it was so weird. I didn't. It's yeah,
- 28:35Speaker 1: I didn't get it either. Let's talk about Marsha Brady
- 28:37Speaker 1: and my fantasy that I'm getting married to uh because
- 28:41Speaker 1: Sarah Sarah Elliott says that she's already picked your wedding date,
- 28:44Speaker 1: which is funny because it's as six, which at the
- 28:47Speaker 1: time I think this was two thousand two, was supposed
- 28:49Speaker 1: to see him far away. Um, it's it's it's Mary McCormick,
- 28:53Speaker 1: not Marsha Brady. I know, but the joke Marcia please,
- 28:58Speaker 1: but that's the joke. She goes, we're getting the priest
- 29:00Speaker 1: is marrying us, and she goes. He goes, do you
- 29:03Speaker 1: take Marcia Brady and he goes mine. She goes, my
- 29:05Speaker 1: name is Marie McCormick and I go, Marcia, please continue,
- 29:12Speaker 1: father Marsia please. I love that. That was all she
- 29:15Speaker 1: was in like that? Was it just the one little
- 29:17Speaker 1: fantasy flashback and then we're done? Does she come back
- 29:21Speaker 1: and do another Does she do another episode? I don't
- 29:23Speaker 1: think so. I think this is it. But man, I
- 29:26Speaker 1: did you of the Brady? Did you have a crush
- 29:28Speaker 1: on Marsha Brady? One of you? That's the that's the
- 29:31Speaker 1: Brady to have a crush on. I thought she was
- 29:33Speaker 1: so cute when I was a kid. She was, Yes,
- 29:36Speaker 1: she was still still is. I was about to say
- 29:38Speaker 1: she's beautiful in this episode. Yeah, beautiful, man, beautiful. I
- 29:41Speaker 1: didn't have a crush on Jan though, I really was.
- 29:43Speaker 1: I don't think anyone really had a jan crush. Well
- 29:47Speaker 1: I don't, I don't, I don't. I'm sure there's gotta
- 29:50Speaker 1: be somebody did. There's probably a Facebook group people who
- 29:53Speaker 1: have we do love Jan. Oh. By the way, I
- 29:56Speaker 1: should mention I wanted to tell you there is a
- 29:58Speaker 1: Facebook group for this podcast that we're doing here apparently,
- 30:02Speaker 1: um and I want I think it's lovely if you
- 30:04Speaker 1: want to be involved with it. I just wanted to
- 30:06Speaker 1: make sure everyone involved with it knows we have nothing
- 30:08Speaker 1: to do with it. We don't read it, we don't
- 30:11Speaker 1: endorse it. Neither. Donald and I messed with Facebook at all,
- 30:15Speaker 1: other than to go on there occasionally and say, hey,
- 30:17Speaker 1: please check this out. But um so, by all means
- 30:21Speaker 1: enjoyed the Facebook group or get an arguments like people
- 30:25Speaker 1: do on Facebook, but just know that Donald and I
- 30:27Speaker 1: don't have anything to do with it. Yeah, I can't
- 30:30Speaker 1: post anything now without people getting into arguments like that's
- 30:34Speaker 1: welcome too, Holy caw. You post something and right underneath
- 30:38Speaker 1: it it's like, you know, argument, argument, argument, argument, argument,
- 30:42Speaker 1: and it's like salacious to like just evil things people
- 30:45Speaker 1: are saying to each other, like you know, it's crazy.
- 30:48Speaker 1: I did want to talk about breaking a break to Oh, Scott,
- 30:53Speaker 1: you're not supposed to look at the chats for guests, Scott.
- 30:58Speaker 1: She sent the chat out and I've just I said
- 31:00Speaker 1: a timer to see how long it would be till
- 31:02Speaker 1: either when you guys got it home. That was making
- 31:03Speaker 1: me uncomfortable. You are you are a guest, Scott. Your
- 31:08Speaker 1: job that's that's like you came over and adjusted our job.
- 31:12Speaker 1: This is not your job. If it's hot in your house.
- 31:14Speaker 1: I'm gonna adjust your You don't touch my ship. You
- 31:18Speaker 1: don't touch it. That's like me getting in your car
- 31:19Speaker 1: and touching your radio. Damnit, I don't do that, ship, don't.
- 31:23Speaker 1: I think you've done that. I think you've got in
- 31:25Speaker 1: my car and said, what the funk are we listening to?
- 31:27Speaker 1: And push this? And then I said it was Kenny
- 31:30Speaker 1: Loggins and you're like, oh wow, and he went back
- 31:32Speaker 1: to it. I love it, do love Kenny Loggins. No,
- 31:37Speaker 1: man is the guests like Sarah Chawk and Scott floy
- 31:40Speaker 1: just coming and start reading the fucking producer chat. Well,
- 31:43Speaker 1: you know what, we'll go to break, we'll be right back.
- 31:45Speaker 1: You're happy, yes, and we're bad. That really loud, dude,
- 32:01Speaker 1: that was You have such balls to tell me. I'm loud.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Really you were the loudest we There are women who
- 32:07Speaker 1: breastfeed who write me on my chat saying why why
- 32:12Speaker 1: do they? Why? Why does why does what they're doing?
- 32:15Speaker 1: Why does breastfeeding have anything to do with how? Because
- 32:18Speaker 1: they've got the baby suckling, and maybe they're listening to
- 32:20Speaker 1: earphones and then you go full loud and the baby's
- 32:23Speaker 1: like adjusting. He breaks his latch. He looks up. What
- 32:26Speaker 1: the funk is that? And you ruined everything. It's hard
- 32:30Speaker 1: to get a good latch back. Yeah, it's hard to
- 32:31Speaker 1: get a good latch back. Donald. You should know that,
- 32:34Speaker 1: especially on those beautiful melted hooks. Is you're frozen? Donald
- 32:37Speaker 1: is frozen right now. He's not frozen visually, He's frozen
- 32:45Speaker 1: for some reason. Listening to our podcast is a very
- 32:47Speaker 1: popular activity for breastfeeding moms. I hear about it a lot.
- 32:50Speaker 1: That is okay, Well to all the breastfeeding parents. If
- 32:54Speaker 1: I've messed up your if I've broken the latch, I apologize.
- 33:01Speaker 1: I am so sorry. But Zack, that was pretty loud.
- 33:05Speaker 1: Just I'm sorry. Well we are back, everybody, and let's
- 33:07Speaker 1: talk about Sea World, guys, because um, I remember being
- 33:11Speaker 1: pissed that I didn't get to go to Sea World. Man,
- 33:14Speaker 1: I remember being so upset about that. Now I used
- 33:16Speaker 1: to love Sea World as a child. Because I hadn't
- 33:19Speaker 1: seen this documentary Blackfish. Well everyone, SeaWorld for everybody, every eye.
- 33:25Speaker 1: I'm surprised SeaWorld can still pay the rent. To be honest.
- 33:28Speaker 1: After Blackfish, that felt like I was gonna sort of
- 33:31Speaker 1: end SeaWorld, don't you see Blackfish? And then go to
- 33:35Speaker 1: Sea World. Ever again, Well, dude, I mean, come on, man,
- 33:38Speaker 1: look at the look at the country. You're you're a Democrat,
- 33:41Speaker 1: and you didn't think that America would vote for Donald
- 33:45Speaker 1: Trump and they voted for Donald Trump. You know what
- 33:46Speaker 1: I mean? This is just how it is. But it's
- 33:48Speaker 1: not just a maga people going to See World. I
- 33:51Speaker 1: mean they're they're still they're still up and running. There's
- 33:53Speaker 1: a there's enough people that saw blackfish and we're like, yeah,
- 33:56Speaker 1: I'm fine with it. Yeah that you're exactly right, that's
- 33:59Speaker 1: exactly right. I think you're right. I think enough people
- 34:01Speaker 1: saw blackfish. We're in San Diego or Florida. I was like,
- 34:04Speaker 1: what the hell do I do with my three little
- 34:06Speaker 1: kids today? Fuck it, I'm going to Sea World, Lego Land,
- 34:10Speaker 1: Lego Land. Well, I don't know, you know what I mean, Like,
- 34:13Speaker 1: it's the way of the world. For every for every
- 34:16Speaker 1: issue that you have with something, there are just as
- 34:20Speaker 1: many there's somebody else who has the exact opposite issue. Man,
- 34:23Speaker 1: It's it's just well, I'll only speak for me in
- 34:26Speaker 1: saying the following. When I was a kid, I loved
- 34:29Speaker 1: Sea World. I thought it was so exciting and I
- 34:31Speaker 1: didn't love roller coasters and ship when I was a kid,
- 34:34Speaker 1: So a theme park that didn't involve you, um, going
- 34:37Speaker 1: on roller coasters for me was extra cool. Like I
- 34:39Speaker 1: also love Universal Studios, even though that has I think
- 34:42Speaker 1: I might have coasters. That has a couple. Anyway, I
- 34:45Speaker 1: love the movie. I love movies, and I love behind
- 34:47Speaker 1: the scenes and all that. And also I should say,
- 34:49Speaker 1: as an adult at twenty whatever I was when I
- 34:51Speaker 1: went with Scott and Sarah down to film this stuff,
- 34:53Speaker 1: it was so exciting. Um, So I want to I
- 34:55Speaker 1: want to sort of not conflate two things because some
- 34:59Speaker 1: of these biologists that we what do you call them? Biologists?
- 35:02Speaker 1: What do you call these people? Some of these marine
- 35:04Speaker 1: biologists that that I met, and Scott can speak to
- 35:06Speaker 1: it better than I because he was working closer with
- 35:09Speaker 1: them than I was. They were so cool and the
- 35:11Speaker 1: animals were so smart, and we got to be behind
- 35:14Speaker 1: the scenes of it all and it was really really cool.
- 35:16Speaker 1: And I don't I don't mean to say for a
- 35:17Speaker 1: second that a lot of these people who work there
- 35:19Speaker 1: aren't well intentioned. Um, but when I saw Blackfish the documentary,
- 35:23Speaker 1: it really, really really it just goes to the power
- 35:26Speaker 1: of a documentary and what it can do to your brain,
- 35:28Speaker 1: because it made me go, I can't. These animals are
- 35:31Speaker 1: too smart and too large to be used as show ponies.
- 35:34Speaker 1: It's just not. It's not ethically right. Well, it's not
- 35:37Speaker 1: just it's just not. It's not just whales though, it's
- 35:40Speaker 1: every animal in captivity. If you look, if you're looking
- 35:43Speaker 1: at it that way, man, no, no animal is meant
- 35:46Speaker 1: to be. Well. The thing that, the thing that, the
- 35:49Speaker 1: thing that distinguished it for me was that how intelligent
- 35:52Speaker 1: these uh, these killer whales were. You eat octopus sushi?
- 35:57Speaker 1: I don't eat octopus sushi. Have you ever eat not
- 36:00Speaker 1: to push sushi? I've tried octopus, not sushi, I've had
- 36:02Speaker 1: it cooked. Did you know an octopus is so smart
- 36:04Speaker 1: that it could take the top off of a of
- 36:07Speaker 1: a of a like a plastic bottle, I'm sure, and
- 36:12Speaker 1: go inside and go inside and then take the top
- 36:15Speaker 1: and turn it back. I don't know if they can
- 36:18Speaker 1: do that, they can turn the top back. I'm just saying, dude,
- 36:21Speaker 1: I'm just saying, why would you do that? I'm just saying,
- 36:24Speaker 1: they're really smart. No, I know, I know, I know,
- 36:27Speaker 1: and and and listen, it's one of the reasons I
- 36:29Speaker 1: stopped eating meat. And I'm not I'm not here to
- 36:31Speaker 1: like preach to everybody and say, you know, obviously, do
- 36:34Speaker 1: whatever that funk you want. But I'm just saying for
- 36:36Speaker 1: me and Scott, I want to hear what you think
- 36:37Speaker 1: because you were there with me too, did you do
- 36:40Speaker 1: and you saw the documentary? I mean it, It would
- 36:43Speaker 1: be just I would be remiss to to talk about
- 36:46Speaker 1: this episode and not say, like, I have a totally
- 36:47Speaker 1: different view of C World these days. No, of course,
- 36:50Speaker 1: of course we. I think we all do. I think. Look,
- 36:53Speaker 1: if you would have asked us when we were there,
- 36:56Speaker 1: it didn't. We all grew up with C World, we
- 37:00Speaker 1: grew up with zoos, and it was it was not
- 37:02Speaker 1: so much. We looked at it from a different angle. Right,
- 37:06Speaker 1: it was educational for us to see to be around
- 37:10Speaker 1: these animals and these creatures and they were doing things
- 37:14Speaker 1: and you could see them and touch them and be
- 37:16Speaker 1: around them, and it was nature. Right, it was nature.
- 37:19Speaker 1: We got to be with nature and it was a
- 37:22Speaker 1: good thing. And then this other angle came out, a
- 37:25Speaker 1: more important angle, which was, hey, yeah, it's nature, but
- 37:30Speaker 1: it's really fucking cruel. And look at what's happened. Look
- 37:33Speaker 1: at the the thin on the dorsal fin on the
- 37:36Speaker 1: orchid's supposed to be standing straight up, but all these
- 37:38Speaker 1: shamus are bending over because they're so sad and they're
- 37:42Speaker 1: captive and they're eating their trainers. You know, they're not
- 37:44Speaker 1: happy about it. Um. Obviously we did not. Look. I
- 37:50Speaker 1: think there are a bunch of issues that once things
- 37:53Speaker 1: get reflected in a different light, you are able to
- 37:56Speaker 1: say like, oh, wow, that's not great, or I now
- 38:00Speaker 1: see that that's not great. However, at the time we
- 38:03Speaker 1: shot this, we didn't have that perspective. No, we didn't.
- 38:08Speaker 1: We did not. But also it kind of changed my
- 38:10Speaker 1: perspective on on zoos as well. Now I know the
- 38:12Speaker 1: I know the I know the other other side of
- 38:14Speaker 1: this debate is well, zach, it educates people and children
- 38:18Speaker 1: on animals and their habitats and helps educate people animal
- 38:24Speaker 1: preservation and all that and and yep, but I mean,
- 38:27Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean, I'm please, please, I'm no expert.
- 38:31Speaker 1: I'm just saying for me, blackfish was strong enough to
- 38:34Speaker 1: make me feel icky, even when I'm at a zoo
- 38:36Speaker 1: with like my nieces. You're not You're not wrong, but
- 38:39Speaker 1: a lot of these these places, these zoos or marine
- 38:44Speaker 1: SeaWorld like places, have done some really good things. Right.
- 38:47Speaker 1: They've saved some animals from extinction. They take animals that
- 38:50Speaker 1: have basically fallen off the face of the earth and
- 38:53Speaker 1: they breed them back into populations that are viable in
- 38:57Speaker 1: the wild. That is an amazing thing. Um Is it
- 39:01Speaker 1: the right way? Were they supposed to go extinct? Who
- 39:03Speaker 1: the funk knows? Um? But I think the the We
- 39:08Speaker 1: now have the ability to look at it from a
- 39:11Speaker 1: different perspective and make a decision based on that. Well,
- 39:14Speaker 1: all I'm saying is watch Blackfish if you haven't, and
- 39:17Speaker 1: then you can make your own decision, because we're not
- 39:19Speaker 1: your parents. Do whatever you want, but watch Blackfish and
- 39:22Speaker 1: at least be educated on that point of view. You
- 39:24Speaker 1: want to hear something crazy. I had no idea how
- 39:30Speaker 1: this journey song went until I met my wife. So
- 39:34Speaker 1: even when we met, even when we did this show,
- 39:37Speaker 1: and if you listen to how I say just a
- 39:39Speaker 1: small town girl, I don't even say it in the
- 39:42Speaker 1: right cadence, and I don't even say it comfortably, like
- 39:46Speaker 1: when I'm saying it and you could tell that I'm
- 39:47Speaker 1: having a hard time saying it because I had no
- 39:51Speaker 1: idea what this. You've never heard the song. I'm sure
- 39:54Speaker 1: I had heard it, but I didn't. I'm not. I
- 39:55Speaker 1: wasn't a Journey fan until I mean, i'd have to
- 39:58Speaker 1: get my wife up here to tell this story, to
- 40:00Speaker 1: see if it's all right to tell the story. But
- 40:02Speaker 1: I didn't know the Journey song until she stole me
- 40:04Speaker 1: told me the story of the stabbing Cabin. Oh my god,
- 40:07Speaker 1: will you ask her if she can tell the stabbing
- 40:09Speaker 1: cabin story? The audience will be right back, all right,
- 40:12Speaker 1: it's worth it. Trust if this is worth it. Oh
- 40:15Speaker 1: my god, I can't believe if she's going to allow
- 40:17Speaker 1: the stabbing cabin. But it is a wonderful tale. I
- 40:21Speaker 1: can't wait. And I'm kind of excited to look at
- 40:23Speaker 1: Donald's clothes that yeah wear, that I wouldn't wear, that
- 40:27Speaker 1: I would wear that interesting hanger choices. Scott, I miss
- 40:32Speaker 1: you already, and you're you've just moved. Thanks man, I
- 40:35Speaker 1: miss you too. Come see me, Come visit me when
- 40:38Speaker 1: you will. I will once COVID settles down. I'm gonna
- 40:41Speaker 1: go be in Manhattan in my place, and then you
- 40:43Speaker 1: can come into the city and we can share a
- 40:46Speaker 1: cock tail or you can come out here and have
- 40:49Speaker 1: a nice home, cook me and be around some family
- 40:51Speaker 1: and we can just watch TV together. Not tall. Yeah,
- 40:54Speaker 1: in your big scream room, guys, she is. But to
- 41:01Speaker 1: what I was saying to you, Okay, Well, I don't
- 41:04Speaker 1: want to be the one to to ask you to
- 41:05Speaker 1: do this. It's not my place. So Donald said that
- 41:08Speaker 1: you introduced him to the song Don't Stop Believing, and
- 41:12Speaker 1: he wanted to you to tell horrible you don't have
- 41:19Speaker 1: to tell the story, Casey, but he wanted. He said,
- 41:22Speaker 1: I didn't know the song. Casey's the one who introduced me,
- 41:24Speaker 1: and she has a funny story about it and it
- 41:27Speaker 1: involves but you don't have to tell it. If you
- 41:29Speaker 1: can say, you can say cut no, I mean, I'm
- 41:32Speaker 1: I'm old now. It's not gonna matter anyway, beautiful and perfect,
- 41:38Speaker 1: thank you. I lost my virginity to that song right
- 41:42Speaker 1: in the back of my high school boyfriend's jeep and
- 41:48Speaker 1: real romantic and um I had well there's this roll bar.
- 41:58Speaker 1: I just want the audience to know. I want I'm coming.
- 42:00Speaker 1: I want the audience to know that you held your
- 42:01Speaker 1: hands up. So just just so I'm telling the story
- 42:04Speaker 1: were you holding the roar? You know, I don't want
- 42:09Speaker 1: to go into too much. Okay, you tell them what
- 42:14Speaker 1: you're supposed to be. What do you mean the cabin? Oh,
- 42:18Speaker 1: I was at the stabbing cabin. That's the big They
- 42:22Speaker 1: called it the stabbing cabin where women in her town
- 42:25Speaker 1: went to lose their virginity. Oh my gosh. Um. Yeah,
- 42:29Speaker 1: this cabin in the middle of the woods or pasture,
- 42:33Speaker 1: and we and it's where all my friends and their
- 42:35Speaker 1: boyfriends or whoever would go to have sex. And we
- 42:39Speaker 1: pull up there and I tell my boyfriend, I'm like,
- 42:42Speaker 1: I'm not going in that place. So that's why we
- 42:46Speaker 1: had to do it in the jeep. But now we're
- 42:52Speaker 1: forgetting the romance. Romance was supposed to be faithfully by Journey,
- 42:58Speaker 1: and it was obviously we're young, not going to go there.
- 43:02Speaker 1: How young I was. But it ended up taking a
- 43:06Speaker 1: little longer than we thought, and by the time we
- 43:09Speaker 1: were actually doing it, it was on just the small girl.
- 43:15Speaker 1: Believe hold for those of you who don't know me,
- 43:27Speaker 1: I'm from a small town, like three thousand people. You
- 43:31Speaker 1: don't have to explain it. All we did was drink,
- 43:33Speaker 1: fun or fight. That was it. It's some new merch
- 43:39Speaker 1: coming at you. And then I married her and then
- 43:45Speaker 1: he snagged me quick. Casey, thank you so much for
- 43:50Speaker 1: sharing that story about the stabbing Cavin and uh and
- 43:53Speaker 1: and thank you for introducing Donald to the song Don't
- 43:55Speaker 1: Stop Believing. I love that. She I loved it, and
- 44:05Speaker 1: she got up. She was she goes. I hope, she said,
- 44:09Speaker 1: I hope my parents don't hear that. Well, I hate
- 44:12Speaker 1: to tell you this, babe, but your parents don't listen
- 44:14Speaker 1: to the podcast. Yeah they don't. But Casey grew up
- 44:18Speaker 1: near Waco, um and I was when I saw Waco.
- 44:21Speaker 1: I was like, oh, that seems like a really small town.
- 44:24Speaker 1: And she's like, well, I grew up in a suburb
- 44:26Speaker 1: of Waco, like the middle of nowhere. Waco is not
- 44:29Speaker 1: a small town anymore. Man. It's booming now thanks to
- 44:33Speaker 1: Chip and Joanna Gains koresh don't know. Uh, Scott had
- 44:38Speaker 1: it right, the cats from net flipping that that that
- 44:42Speaker 1: your house fix her up? Her Chip and Joanna gains
- 44:45Speaker 1: Why what did they do? They they're from there back
- 44:47Speaker 1: they have Yeah, they have a show on HDTV and
- 44:51Speaker 1: now at their own channel and magazine and they bought
- 44:54Speaker 1: the silos and there's Oh my god, Merchant, it's a
- 44:57Speaker 1: whole thing. Oh, all right, talented, I won't be right there.
- 45:02Speaker 1: Um now, Scott, let's now that we've done our c
- 45:05Speaker 1: World speech, tell us how you did that shot in
- 45:08Speaker 1: the air with you waving, because it's amazing, I assume
- 45:10Speaker 1: in screen screen right, But it's perfect. Yeah, thank you.
- 45:13Speaker 1: I was. I was not happy with my form when
- 45:15Speaker 1: when I watched it again today, I was a little
- 45:16Speaker 1: too bent at the great but I was in my
- 45:21Speaker 1: defense to myself, I was, and thank you for saying
- 45:24Speaker 1: it was perfect. I was wearing a harness. We were
- 45:26Speaker 1: in the parking lot at the hospital. Well, listen, Scrubs
- 45:30Speaker 1: is not known for its great green screen in two
- 45:32Speaker 1: thousand two. In fact, the shot of Stura on the
- 45:34Speaker 1: train is so bad, the green screen. What was with
- 45:37Speaker 1: the angle on that too? Oh it was so bad.
- 45:39Speaker 1: And that train compartment was built into the parking lot
- 45:43Speaker 1: of Scrubs, I remember, and we had you know, green
- 45:46Speaker 1: screen has come along way by the way in eighteen years.
- 45:48Speaker 1: But but man, was it bad. And and but your
- 45:52Speaker 1: shot of you waving in slow motion was so perfect
- 45:55Speaker 1: that part of me was like, wait a minute, there's
- 45:57Speaker 1: no way they did that practically, Like, there's Scott, can
- 46:02Speaker 1: I tell you? With the exception of that shot, everything
- 46:06Speaker 1: else was done practically. I mean, right, yell in your face, dude,
- 46:11Speaker 1: How did you not react to that ship? It was
- 46:14Speaker 1: the scariest, worst smelling, foulest, biggest animal I've ever been
- 46:20Speaker 1: that close to. And you think like, oh, it's a
- 46:22Speaker 1: sea lion. They're huge and terrifying. That was a big
- 46:25Speaker 1: animal next to you, dude, they I mean, it's a
- 46:28Speaker 1: thousand pound beast with teeth, with big teeth. One of
- 46:33Speaker 1: the things when we talked about you, Scott on the show,
- 46:35Speaker 1: we often talked about what an amazing straight man you
- 46:37Speaker 1: are and how you never broke And there I was
- 46:41Speaker 1: watching you have a have a sea lion scream in
- 46:44Speaker 1: your face, and I would be cracking up and you
- 46:46Speaker 1: were just totally dead hair. It was I think, I
- 46:50Speaker 1: think watching it, you think like, oh, that must be funny.
- 46:52Speaker 1: It was terrifying. It was the end of the day.
- 46:55Speaker 1: It was the last shot we needed to get. Uh,
- 46:57Speaker 1: you know, the training there was no real explanation. The
- 47:01Speaker 1: trainer was like, Okay, so you're gonna say your line.
- 47:03Speaker 1: You turn your head here, the thing knows the thing.
- 47:06Speaker 1: That's because that's a sea World knows to turn your head.
- 47:09Speaker 1: When you turn your head, uh. And as many times
- 47:12Speaker 1: as I turned my head, it'll look at me, and
- 47:14Speaker 1: then the last time it'll stick its tongue out. Um.
- 47:17Speaker 1: It reeked like horrible old fish and a burp. It
- 47:23Speaker 1: was just very funny. I mean, did you know did
- 47:28Speaker 1: you know that the thing was gonna yell at you? Yes? Yes,
- 47:32Speaker 1: and that was loud. Um. But I gotta say, like,
- 47:37Speaker 1: of all the things I show my kids, they've seen
- 47:40Speaker 1: that a hundred times. They love that. That's a pretty
- 47:42Speaker 1: amazing piece of tape for you to have for your memories.
- 47:45Speaker 1: Nobody has great And I loved it. I love that
- 47:48Speaker 1: whole this whole Sea World storyline and adventure and the
- 47:51Speaker 1: fact that we actually got to go down there and um,
- 47:54Speaker 1: you know, Scrubs is a show we shot in uh
- 47:57Speaker 1: Berber where were we Sherman Oaks. But the fact that
- 48:01Speaker 1: v Villars, the fact we got to be on location
- 48:04Speaker 1: in San Diego for two nights or however long it
- 48:07Speaker 1: was was exciting and we're all down there together. It
- 48:08Speaker 1: was great. By the way, Scrubs is supposed to be
- 48:10Speaker 1: anywhere USA. It's never mentioned where Scrubs takes place, but
- 48:16Speaker 1: this does sort of hone in on where it is,
- 48:18Speaker 1: because we know that Scrubs takes place in a drivable
- 48:21Speaker 1: distance from a sea world. I feel like as time
- 48:25Speaker 1: went on, Scrubs became California, like I know, well, I
- 48:28Speaker 1: don't know. We always were painting out palm trees. I
- 48:30Speaker 1: think Bill wanted it to be. Bill wanted it to
- 48:33Speaker 1: feel anywhere U say, like the semptions, you know, like
- 48:35Speaker 1: you just you don't know where it is. But um,
- 48:38Speaker 1: but but but this does place it. How about how
- 48:41Speaker 1: about Laverne saying I need to find a dentist so
- 48:44Speaker 1: I don't look like Larry Holmes. Oh my god, I
- 48:54Speaker 1: never saw you look like Larry Holmes until she said that.
- 48:58Speaker 1: And then at the end, and then at the end
- 48:59Speaker 1: when he throws out a tooth and she goes, this
- 49:02Speaker 1: is a chick list, I'm a funny day. Trivia on
- 49:06Speaker 1: Scrubs Wicky about Laverne. Um it says that when j
- 49:09Speaker 1: D tries to comfort Laverne, she calls him a jackass,
- 49:12Speaker 1: But in the Netflix subtitle it says, cracker. Wow. Okay,
- 49:20Speaker 1: I don't, I don't. I don't know if that's helped
- 49:23Speaker 1: or hurt a Scrubs Wicky. Well, Scrubs is no longer
- 49:27Speaker 1: on Netflix, so we can't check it. But I guess
- 49:29Speaker 1: if you are on any if you're on Hulu, you
- 49:32Speaker 1: might wanna go look at that and see if someone
- 49:34Speaker 1: messed up the subtitle and had Nurse Roberts called j
- 49:37Speaker 1: D a cracker. It was just somebody who hated Zack Brath.
- 49:39Speaker 1: Who's like that, Zack Brath looks like a cracker? Asked, Cracker,
- 49:43Speaker 1: you know what I'm gonna do. This is what I'm
- 49:44Speaker 1: gonna do. This is what I'm gonna do a jackass. Nope,
- 49:50Speaker 1: ain't gonna be jackass. So you're saying the Netflix subtitle
- 49:56Speaker 1: guy out for me? Yeah? Probably brother like you, There's
- 50:04Speaker 1: no such thing. How about when when Sarah says to Cox,
- 50:08Speaker 1: does this shade of red she putting a lipstick? Does
- 50:11Speaker 1: this shade of red make me look like a clown?
- 50:13Speaker 1: He said, no, it makes you look like a prostitus
- 50:16Speaker 1: who caters to clowns, exclusively to clowns. I love that.
- 50:23Speaker 1: That's funny, ship, I love that. I have a question.
- 50:29Speaker 1: Do they talk about how you wound up at Sea
- 50:31Speaker 1: World at all? Scott there's no conversation. It's just your
- 50:37Speaker 1: job was out of the blue, You're you're at Sea
- 50:39Speaker 1: World now. No. I think in an earlier episode we
- 50:42Speaker 1: talked about me. I think I mentioned I work at
- 50:45Speaker 1: Sea World. Alright, I work. I'm a marine biologist or
- 50:48Speaker 1: something like that. I never trying to always have things
- 50:51Speaker 1: that made him so much more cool than than j D.
- 50:54Speaker 1: And I think the idea was that I'm trying to
- 50:57Speaker 1: one up him. But the dude's riding an orca and
- 51:00Speaker 1: jumping in front of different, in front of a five
- 51:02Speaker 1: thousand people, and he just looks like it's such a badass.
- 51:04Speaker 1: And I'm like, you're lying delivery on that when you're
- 51:07Speaker 1: walking when you before you see me, when you first
- 51:09Speaker 1: coming like he probably I don't know, scoops up the
- 51:11Speaker 1: seal poop or something, and then you see me and
- 51:13Speaker 1: you're like, you say, what do you say? Lame or something.
- 51:15Speaker 1: I thought it was fantastic, Yeah, thank you, Yeah, because
- 51:18Speaker 1: he's so humiliated that, I mean, he's Scott. Scott's flying
- 51:23Speaker 1: through the air after being hurled by an orca and
- 51:26Speaker 1: he's just waving to Elliott and slow motion so funny. Well,
- 51:30Speaker 1: what about in the beginning. We skipped this part where
- 51:32Speaker 1: where you sip the coffee. Sean SIPs the coffee and
- 51:36Speaker 1: has a lisp after because the coffee is so hot. Yeah,
- 51:39Speaker 1: she was hilarious, man Like. That was a great way
- 51:42Speaker 1: to introduce you guys back together. You know, I I
- 51:46Speaker 1: say on this podcast all the time that you guys
- 51:48Speaker 1: were great to get like. You two are great, are
- 51:50Speaker 1: perfect for each other, Shawn and Elliot are perfect for
- 51:52Speaker 1: each other. But this was a great way to reintroduce that.
- 51:54Speaker 1: You know what I mean, you two are such you know,
- 51:57Speaker 1: uh klutz is you know me just weirdos? I agree?
- 52:02Speaker 1: And it was such an endearing way to introduce the
- 52:05Speaker 1: two of you back together, so much so that j
- 52:07Speaker 1: D couldn't even be mad at I mean, he's mad
- 52:09Speaker 1: when he sees you flying through the air and everything
- 52:11Speaker 1: like that, but he can't be mad at it because
- 52:12Speaker 1: he's so entertained by the fact that Elliott's found someone.
- 52:16Speaker 1: That and then she gets and she gets her backpack
- 52:19Speaker 1: trapped in his car, in his car and all that stuff. Yeah,
- 52:22Speaker 1: why isn't he taking the train? Doesn't she have a car?
- 52:25Speaker 1: She has a car with the two mismatching doors, Yeah,
- 52:28Speaker 1: she does. Where was she going on the train. She
- 52:32Speaker 1: was going anywhere. She was going anywhere, guys going anywhere. God,
- 52:39Speaker 1: It's sorry, sorry sorry. I was like, we never did
- 52:41Speaker 1: a Troy he did some bust stuff. We never did
- 52:43Speaker 1: a train ever again on scrubs um. But because of
- 52:47Speaker 1: the song, someone had to build a train set there
- 52:49Speaker 1: you go. I wonder if Mike Spiller pitch that, you
- 52:54Speaker 1: know what, she should go to Sea World and she
- 52:56Speaker 1: should be on the train and I'll cut it to
- 52:58Speaker 1: where it goes. She took the Midden train going anywhere.
- 53:01Speaker 1: I wonder if he I wonder if he thought that
- 53:02Speaker 1: would be I don't know. I don't know, but this
- 53:06Speaker 1: is a Spiller directed episode and he's terrifically written by
- 53:10Speaker 1: Tim tim Hobert. Maybe Tim Hoberd had this idea. I
- 53:13Speaker 1: don't know, but that's your right. Someone that built a
- 53:15Speaker 1: big set for this just because of the lyric. Also
- 53:18Speaker 1: in this episode, this is the Turk and j D
- 53:21Speaker 1: episode g D and Yeah and Shelly, Shelly. Shelly's the
- 53:26Speaker 1: guy who played the bartender. Who oh my god, who dude?
- 53:29Speaker 1: I wanted to talk to you guys about that. Then
- 53:31Speaker 1: you try to kill his girlfriend his wife twelve years
- 53:34Speaker 1: to life. He's out. Yeah, he's out. Now he's out. Now. Yeah. Man,
- 53:39Speaker 1: wait I missed something, Dan, We're gonna we're gonna need
- 53:42Speaker 1: a sound effect here. Done done forty year old virgin
- 53:46Speaker 1: And that was in year old versions. When the news
- 53:49Speaker 1: came out, however, many years ago, she was like, holy shit,
- 53:52Speaker 1: I was he was the only guy who talked to
- 53:54Speaker 1: me like he was the nicest guy. And he just
- 53:56Speaker 1: killed his girlfriend. He didn't kill her. He tried to
- 53:59Speaker 1: My father and his daughter, Uh we're best friends in
- 54:04Speaker 1: uh elementary school, so like in first second or they
- 54:09Speaker 1: were they were they were best friends. And he used
- 54:11Speaker 1: to take care of my daughter Kaya back in the day,
- 54:14Speaker 1: Like they used to hang out with each other and
- 54:17Speaker 1: her dad would be the person that would take them
- 54:19Speaker 1: to get ice cream and stuff like that. Shelley. And
- 54:22Speaker 1: so when he came to do the show, I was like, oh,
- 54:24Speaker 1: ship man, how's it going. I had no idea that
- 54:26Speaker 1: later on he would you know that that would happen.
- 54:29Speaker 1: I ran into him recently, actually yeah, I did. Wait,
- 54:33Speaker 1: how many years did he do in jail? He did
- 54:36Speaker 1: quite a few, because it was like a few months
- 54:38Speaker 1: ago that I ran into him and he had just
- 54:39Speaker 1: gotten out and he was staying at a halfway house
- 54:41Speaker 1: and he was like, you know, I had to get off.
- 54:44Speaker 1: I am sober now, I am off of drugs and
- 54:47Speaker 1: everything like that. His I don't know where his wife,
- 54:50Speaker 1: his ex wife is and where his daughter is. I
- 54:52Speaker 1: don't think they're even in America anymore. But he's back,
- 54:56Speaker 1: you know, he's out. I don't know if this is
- 54:58Speaker 1: something we should I think we could talk about it.
- 55:00Speaker 1: Why not, it's if it's fact. Joel will double check
- 55:02Speaker 1: that it is indeed fact um. But he's definitely, he's
- 55:05Speaker 1: definitely out. He's staying at a halfway house. And you know,
- 55:08Speaker 1: I would never guess that the guy who has the
- 55:10Speaker 1: turk enj D joke had that happened to him. Well, yeah,
- 55:13Speaker 1: he represented himself in the trial and everything, like you know,
- 55:17Speaker 1: he represented him. He was his own lawyer, I believe. So, yeah, Joel,
- 55:21Speaker 1: we need you to fact check away on that, please
- 55:23Speaker 1: because that sounds intriguing. Well yeah, I mean if you
- 55:28Speaker 1: see some of the things, man like this was a
- 55:30Speaker 1: big this was a big Hollywood story and stuff like that.
- 55:33Speaker 1: You know, there's a video of him trying to explain
- 55:36Speaker 1: how his wife got stabbed all of those times. You
- 55:38Speaker 1: know what I mean, Jesus, I don't know that. I
- 55:44Speaker 1: don't know that this is this is getting darker and
- 55:46Speaker 1: darker as we're going. Hey, Joel, how accurate am I it?
- 55:51Speaker 1: Still it's going to take a minute to reas give
- 55:54Speaker 1: me some day. All right, Well, let's get back to
- 55:56Speaker 1: the show. Um, Mental five, the very first. Well, I
- 55:59Speaker 1: wanted to say, this is the first Mental five. I
- 56:01Speaker 1: believe Todd. Todd doesn't mental high five. Donald, I didn't.
- 56:07Speaker 1: I missed that. I don't know how I missed that.
- 56:10Speaker 1: He goes he's at the bar. I wanted to some
- 56:11Speaker 1: I wanted some project that's right with us and we're
- 56:14Speaker 1: supposed to be. No. Again, I'm sorry that I would
- 56:16Speaker 1: never ever diss the Scrubs writers because they're geniuses, But
- 56:20Speaker 1: this makes no sense. I finally want to go have
- 56:22Speaker 1: a private talk with you at a bar because you're
- 56:24Speaker 1: really getting married, and you're like, no, no, I can't
- 56:27Speaker 1: handle intimacy. It makes no sense. No, it doesn't make
- 56:30Speaker 1: any sense and makes zero sense. All right, Well, um,
- 56:34Speaker 1: maybe Bill won't listen to this one. Well, no, he'll
- 56:37Speaker 1: listen to it, and I'm sure he'll have something to
- 56:38Speaker 1: say about it. Yeah, um, but it'll be it'll be
- 56:42Speaker 1: in the next interrupting bill, Yeah, interrupting bill. Um. Yeah,
- 56:47Speaker 1: So you know, you invite Todd because you don't want
- 56:49Speaker 1: to have an intimate conversation with your best friend, and
- 56:53Speaker 1: and Todd tries to high five me, and I say
- 56:54Speaker 1: no when he goes mental five and then he goes
- 56:56Speaker 1: over and sexually harasses a woman and get slapped right
- 56:59Speaker 1: and then as holy cow, that's the quickest I've been
- 57:02Speaker 1: slapped in the face something like that. Um, I don't know.
- 57:08Speaker 1: When any comes over and says, do you think gay
- 57:10Speaker 1: dudes get turned on by their own we penises? Yeah,
- 57:18Speaker 1: it's so stupid, but it's funny. Yeah it is. It
- 57:21Speaker 1: is funny. But I'm guessing. No, I don't know. I
- 57:27Speaker 1: don't know. I don't know. I don't know. No, no
- 57:31Speaker 1: is the answer. The answer is no, you don't know.
- 57:35Speaker 1: I'm I am making a fairly fairly logical guests. You
- 57:41Speaker 1: don't know that someone doesn't that a gay guy might
- 57:44Speaker 1: not look down at his penis and be like, damn,
- 57:47Speaker 1: that is a nice cop. If you have a foot fetish,
- 57:51Speaker 1: you don't look at your your own foot and rub
- 57:54Speaker 1: one out. How do you know doubt? How do you
- 57:57Speaker 1: know you're right? Also, is not orientation exclusive? You know
- 58:03Speaker 1: you can you can be straight and be like, you
- 58:05Speaker 1: know what, I got a great penis, but that's different.
- 58:10Speaker 1: And now my penis is getting I'm getting hard from
- 58:13Speaker 1: looking at my own penis. It's like inception. All right, Um,
- 58:19Speaker 1: Joel has some information here, so she said. Three years
- 58:22Speaker 1: after appearing in the hit film forty year old Virgin
- 58:26Speaker 1: Malill fifty three stabbed his then girlfriend twenty three times,
- 58:29Speaker 1: an attack that he originally claimed was a mistaken identity
- 58:33Speaker 1: on his part, So he's saying he didn't even know
- 58:35Speaker 1: it was her when he was stabbing her. During his trial,
- 58:38Speaker 1: the actor testified he thought he was stabbing someone else
- 58:41Speaker 1: in self defense on the night that he couldn't remember clearly.
- 58:45Speaker 1: It wasn't until hearing b B shout call nine one
- 58:49Speaker 1: one that Milile said he realized she was the one
- 58:53Speaker 1: he was stabbing. So he stabbed her up and then
- 58:56Speaker 1: said then she's like somebody called nine one one, and
- 58:58Speaker 1: then he was like, oh ship, I stabbed my girlfriend. Well, listen,
- 59:03Speaker 1: I don't want to get into to all that, but
- 59:04Speaker 1: I do have to say that is a crazy story
- 59:08Speaker 1: and um, it's so bizarre that that guy is the
- 59:11Speaker 1: one who came up with will not came up with
- 59:14Speaker 1: but says that he thinks your name is Turk and
- 59:16Speaker 1: j D. Look it's Turkey j D And yeah, um
- 59:24Speaker 1: Kelso's mom is in a nursing home, in a bunk bed.
- 59:31Speaker 1: He says he wants, um uh, someone to drop off
- 59:35Speaker 1: someone in a nursing home because he doesn't want to
- 59:37Speaker 1: run into his mother because she's going to complain that
- 59:40Speaker 1: she's spending her golden years in a bunk bed. He's
- 59:46Speaker 1: an evil funk that Kelso. Why is Carla walking around
- 59:49Speaker 1: with a with a jar of p What is the
- 59:52Speaker 1: point of that? She's so obsessed with the jar of urine?
- 59:55Speaker 1: Why is it on her lunch tray? Yeah? Why she right?
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: Why did she put it on her lunch tree? Right?
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: And she's walking around, Well, she put on the lunch tree.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: So you could get the bit with the with the
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: guy in the apple juice bid. That's a long way
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: to go for an apple juice. It's a long way
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: to go. But it was good. It was a good bit.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: I thought it was funny. Was resolve with the apple
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: like like the janitor found the thing, and then what
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: that was it? That was it? There was no payoff,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: she just she just what was that about? What was
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: her what was her arc? She wanted to find the
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: owner of the p why. I don't know it was about?
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: It was Remember she had that that moment in the
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: middle of the show where she said, Okay, I'm done
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: with this, I'm done with this, and then she put
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: it down and then she went back to get it.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: So there's obviously a there's something they were trying to do.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: Such a thorough nurse, she's so dedicated to the ethics
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: of being a nurse that she wasn't going to let
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: one thing through the cracks. Is that it? I don't know.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: I'm trying to I'm trying to find a cohesive theme
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: throughout the whole show that each of the characters sort
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: of deals with, right Like what what what is it
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: you talk about on the montage, Like, I don't know,
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: There's gotta be a reason. There has to be a
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: good reason that Bill would know. I don't know. I
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: don't know that she's in the I don't know that
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: she's in the last montage part. I think it's you
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: and Elliott I think it's Yeah. I think it's uh, Zack.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: I think it's me and Zach talking. I don't know
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: if she is either, but I think I think possibly
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: the sort of the theme has to like she plays
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: into that the overall theme, Let's go to Let's go
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: to Uncle Bill. I think it's time Bill, Bill, Why
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: is Judy so obsessed with finding whose year in? This? Is? Why? She? She?
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: She she She goes on an episode long hunt. The
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: janitor eventually helps her, and then we don't really know
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: what happened. Now, Bill, far be it from us to
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: question your authority and mastery, but we just don't understand
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: Judy's are Also, why is homophobic? Yeah? Also Bill? Ps
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: a homophobic? Homophobic? Why why is Ark homophobic? Bill? We
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: see it doesn't see it doesn't seem to show any
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: signs of being homophobic until episode three oh two. Hey fellaws,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: ms you guys. I'm glad we answer these questions. But
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: I do want to see some five six seven eight
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: merch for sale from our podcast, like a five seven
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: eight shirts or five six seven eight hats or five
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: seven eight boxers or or socks or um. How fun
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: would it be if I just did this for an
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: hour and was two different than five six, seven eight
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: of admit would be cool? Or a scarf. I'd buy
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: a scarf. Why is Carla carry P around all episode?
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: If we had written a song called everything comes down
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: to P, you guys would know the answer, but we
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: read everything comes down to pooh. The answer is conscientious nurse.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: She sees at the beginning with no label on it,
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: and sometimes everything does come down to P. And she
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: knows we always like to show as a kick ass nurse.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: She knows that that could be out there testing for
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: some serious ailment and have a real serious medical consequences
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: if it doesn't get tested or looked at, and so
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: she can't let it go. Like a five seventy docs
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: and sweater or dog sweater, like one of those things
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: you put on a weener dog. That would be funny.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: It's very specific, but I'd buy one. Then I'd get
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: a weener dog. Second answer, why is a turk homophobic?
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: He's not. You know that character. We like to think
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: that he's very open minded and uh, but the intent
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: of that story, I'm sure it was that often, especially
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: when you look at young alpha male surgeon types or
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: any young alpha male type who was a fraternity guy
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: and uh, you know, who probably was not around a
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: lot of people of different sexuality or was not aware
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: that he was at the time, would imagine themselves being
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: much more sensitive and secure, um when kind of as
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: doctors off and are are confronted with a patient who
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: happens to be different from them, are different from what
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: their their comfort zone is. I don't think our intent
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: was to play this as huge jokes as much as
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: it was to show and highlight Turk's insecurities about himself,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: you know, And uh do I think we executed it well? Now?
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: I think that we kind of glossed over it. It
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: is one of those things I wish I could go
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: back in time and do a scene in which he's
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: questioning why is he like that? But you know, I
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: think it was a product of I grew up, as
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: did a lot of the writers around a lot of
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: people like that. So I hope that's a decent answer.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: But it is one of those episodes and storylines that, um,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: I wish I could get in a time machine and
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: improve omit. Peace out, thank you, Bill? All right? Should
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: we go to we have a waiting a break jewel
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: or what yeah, we should go to break and then
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: we have the guests. All right, very exciting. We'll be
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: right back with the legendary Scott Scott Fowling. Hello, and
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: we're back, and we're back with what is your name?
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: It's Katie. Katie is on the line with and she
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: is going to get a little bit of introducing introduction
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: for Katie before we get started. A while ago, you
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: guys were really into the song I ran down the
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: ramp viral sensation and heat made a video where you
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: guys were with j D running down the brand your video.
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: And she also has a scrubs tattoo. Let me see.
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: Let's see the tattoo. You want to see it? Okay? Yeah,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: I mean if it's sharable, I don't know it is
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: it is. It's on my rib cage, but I will
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: keep it PG. I promise. Let me just see. I
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: gotta flip this, okay, Okay, there's nothing's gonna be shown.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: I promise is not flashing us view. Oh wow, it
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: says I'm no SA in the scrubs fonts. So cool.
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: That is really cool. That's very cool. So I was
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: hoping for my face. But hey, um, Katie, you are
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: the perfect guest, because not only does it seem like
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: you are a big Scrubs fan, I am also seeing
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: lots of um Star Wars memorabilire happening in your room,
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: so Donald will be able to dial into that. Yeah, huge,
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: huge Star Wars fan. Are you a Mandalorian fan? Uh? Yeah?
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: Are you excited Mandalian fan? Right? You gotta be select
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: some weirdo from like Jariar do tonight? Yeah? Yeah, no, no,
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: no do do Let him go, Let him go. He
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: just made the baby on latch again. Uh, Katie, tell
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: us where you're calling from. I am from Windsor, Ontario, Canada,
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: which is a small little city right across from Detroit, Michigan. Right,
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: it's it's near it's near Vancouver. Right. Oh god, no, no,
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: Winds not Whistler, Windsor you're from Windsor. Wow? Is it
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: named after Windsor where the Windsor castle is? I think so.
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: We have a lot of like Southwestern Ontario has a
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: lot of European inspired names, like we have a Paris
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: London windsor uh like all kinds of So if you
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: can't go to Europe, just come to Southwestern Ontario. It's
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: not even close to the same thing. Are there are
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: the towns just named that or is there any sort
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: of monument castoly kind of things. No, I think they're
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: just named that. To be honest, would you say that
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: you live in the middle of bumble fuck? It's not
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: quite bum fuck, but it had has been called the
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: butthole of Canada just because if you look at the map,
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: the very very very bottom, that's us, like we are
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: the southernmost city. We're actually we're a lot more south
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: than like a lot of the northern United States. I
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: never understood that analogy where you call something that's so
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: far south the butt hole, because the butt hole isn't
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: the furthest thing south on your body. If it is,
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: if you're if you're sitting, or if you're in the
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: fetal position, even if you're sitting, your feet are still
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: the furthest thing south. If you're in yoga, that yoga,
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: that happy baby, well then yes then yes. Katie. Now
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: you you are a good editor because you made a
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: very funny video about she cut. She cut Katie. By
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: the way, how how do people find that video? If
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: they want to watch it? It's on my Twitter at
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: Katie Rizzia. It's pinned right to the top and Kati's
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: last name is felt r I z e A. Um.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: She cut Donald and I Love the Ramps song and
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: she cut images of scrub Is, particularly us running down
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: the hospital exterior ramp uh to the song masterfully. Are
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: you My question is are you interested? You seem like
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: a young person. Are you studying filmmaking? Are you just
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: naturally good at that kind of stuff? I didn't. I
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: never really studied it. I just I always kind of
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: liked the creative aspect of things, making photos like I
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: do kind of photography on the side. I've always loved
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: video editing. Um, I never really pursued a career in it,
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: but I do it on the side for fun, like
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: all the time. Well, you're good at it, because you
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: certainly made us laugh and uh and we appreciate it.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: What what do you want to do? What are you pursuing? Uh?
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: My career, I suppose is I'm an office administrator. Um
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: so I work at a local college. I run the
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: health insurance and run the food bank I run. I'm
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: pretty much like the first space that they see when
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: they walk in and I'm like hello, and I just
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: do my best to solve pretty much any problem they have,
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: whether it has anything to do with me or not.
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: I love you people who do you? What do you do?
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: And solve problems? Man? The world needs more you. K
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: He prefers to be you. He prefers to be on television. Scott, Yeah,
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: please call him TV Scott. Listen. I have a really
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: quick question, Um, Scott Foley, what do you like? What
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: kind of TV? Sc Sorry? What kind of water do
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: you drink? Where you don't age? In twenty years? Oh god,
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: this is what we just talked about, Katie. I know,
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: why don't people write that on my ray? Here? The
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: amount of gray happening. It's a gray beard, dude, It's
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: not a gray face. By the way, Katie, Katie weren't
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: on the beginning of this. So I have to tell
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: you that this this podcast began with Donald and I
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: posted this video today and they said about Donald, Wow,
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: he doesn't age. Wow, Zach, look at his wrinkles. And
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: now you're talking about Mr Foley saying what kind of
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: water does he drink? Because he doesn't age. The man's
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: older than me but looks like he could be my son.
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: That's a very end of view, Katie, and that very
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: both of you. Uh what the kind of water? Doesn't matter, Katie,
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: just drink a lot of it. Yeah, And do you
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: use lotion, Scott, to use facial lotion? This is embarrassing.
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: So last night I'm putting on some ice cream before
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: I get to bed, and I say to my wife, Hey,
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: do a lot of dudes do this? And without hesitation,
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: she was like, no other dude does this. They do.
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: You've got a moisturize. That's what I'm told. By the way.
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: My girlfriend, she's always putting lotion on me, definitely doesn't
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: want you looking on It feels nice, though, I kind
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: of don't do lotion because I know she's gonna come
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: round after she does hers with the excess, like, oh,
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: that must be great. I get the excess. Do you
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: get the smack in the face to like the type? Yeah,
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: because you know when you need to put facial lotion
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: on and then you have extra right now, some people
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: like me, I just put it on my on my
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: my my back for some reason, the right, my instinct.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: But my girlfriend comes around with her extra and and
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: and gives it to my face. It's nice, Katie. Let's
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: get out of here. This is getting weird. Katie. Do
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: you even have a question for for TV Scott Foley?
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: Or or clueless? Is Donald phase on? Or I wait
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: what I gotta be? Clueless? Is Donald? I don't know
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: your most famous film. I just went with it. Well
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: not Remember the Titans? Remember the Titans? Okay, do you
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: have a question for Remember the Titans? Is Donald? No? No, no,
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: the guy Denzel Washington's co star. Remember you have a
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: question for Denzel Washington's best friend and co star. I
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: like that. I like that. I like that. Yeah, I mean,
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: like obviously several questions. Um, before I have to first
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: of all, say thank you to Cole Lattisa on Twitter
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: because he's the one who tagged me in Joel's tweet
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: looking for me for my tattoo, So if he didn't
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: tag me, I might have never seen it. And I
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: put it here right on. Glad you're here. Thank you,
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: thank you. So first question kind of lighthearted. Um, this
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: has been my question since the very beginning, but um,
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: it's about So it's actually also kind of timely because
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: you guys just watched this episode not too long ago.
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: So if you guys woke up one morning and you
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: see an article from the news that says Bill Lawrence
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: has just released never before seen footage Nurse Roberts is
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: above ground pool party. What do you guys believe in
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: your heart is going to be on that footage. I
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: think they're exing their faces off. I think Nurse Roberts.
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: I think Nurse Roberts has some m D M A
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: and everyone is just fucking grinding on each other. Oh
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: my gosh, that is an epic above ground pool party.
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: That is an epic of I think that only happens
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: on the in ground pool party, not above I don't know,
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: but that's a great question because we know we know
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: this fact. They were always off the hook. They were crazy.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: Ship went down at these things. People like some fights,
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: People got choked out. Yeah, you know what I mean.
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: People hooked up. We know people hooked up. People hooked up. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't what do I think would
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: be in Oh wow, I'm sure. Wow. I'll tell you what.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: That's a great question if you know we got down't know.
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: I get tagged in a lot of fan art on Instagram,
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: And if you're an artist and you want to do
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: a doodle do to what you imagine is happening at
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: nurse Roberts is above ground poolp Oh my god, this
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: is gonna be so gnarly. People are gonna put the
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: gnarliest things you've ever seen in your life, go crazy,
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: and then we'll we'll put some on our stories. Although
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: so well has to freaking cypher through all of this. Man.
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: No no, no, no, no no, they're gonna they're gonna know,
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: they're gonna tag us on Instagram, so they'll show up
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: in our feed. And then yeah, and then well, you know,
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: don't don't don't have the pleasure. Yeah, don't. Well, actually,
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: I'm not gonna give you any restrictions. Go nuts, what
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: is happening? And Robert, you know Instagram will give you restrictions.
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: Let's put it down. Instagram will give you restrictions. Well, yeah,
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: I mean, don't don't have like cocks flying and everything.
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: If they are, have them be hidden behind Wait wait
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: wait wait wait what I'm saying, like, be be crazy.
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: But if they if some one goes and draws like
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: penises flying, we'll have to like blur it. Probably you
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: can't put that in our story or not. Remember remember
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: being two p g at all, you are not being
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: at all, dude. Someone went and put Donald, me and
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: Johnny sees heads on a on a on a gay
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: porn still and um, it's hilarious. I sent it to
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: Donald and Johnny c um word, why why everybody else?
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: It's not because it's not. But Johnny wrote something so
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: back like oh my god. Johnny wrote back something like,
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: oh my god, Zachie, what have you done? And I
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: started to think. I started to think that he thought
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: that I made it right, like like I always sitting
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: at home on my photoshop. All right, Katie's you have
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: another question? Yeah, and I hope it's okay to you all.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: I just thought of this earlier and it's not the
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: one we talked about, Okay, okay, So I this one
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: is a little bit more I guess serious, not really serious. Um,
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: most shows and like a lot of TV shows, most
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: often comedies, they tend to like run beyond their course,
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: so to speak. And scrubs up eight seasons was like perfect,
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: it didn't go too long. So I'm just wondering what
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: the feel on set was for you guys, Like how
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: did you find out that season eight was ending? Like
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: how did they tell you? And like how did that
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: feel filming the last of it? Knowing this is it,
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: like this is the end. Well, you know, the crazy
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: thing is we never really other than season two and three,
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: we never really knew what our fate was at the
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: end of every season. It wasn't until around you know,
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: right before upfronts where they announced all of the new
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: fall shows that we found out we were coming back
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: for most of the uh time while we were making
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: Scrubs and if you recall, season eight isn't I don't
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: know if you know this, but season eight isn't even
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: on the original network that Scrubs was on. So every
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: year felt like, well, this could be it. I hope
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: I get to see you next fall, you know what
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: I mean, or I go to get to see you
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: in the summer. When it was announced that it was
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: finally over, that season eight was going to be the
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: last episode of Scrubs as we knew it, that was
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: kind of it was kind of like one of those
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: things where you I didn't believe it until you know
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: what I mean, until it was over, and then there
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: was this long pause in between, and then we went
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: and did the The Interns show. But for the longest time,
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: I honestly believed that, yeah, sure, this is the last season,
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: but we'll be back next season, you know what I mean?
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: And so I you know, a lot of people talk
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: about how uh emotional they were when we were making
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: the season finale, the series finale. I don't know if
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: you remember, Zach, I wasn't necessarily that emotional. Everybody else
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: was really emotional. I still thought we'd be back next season,
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: and believe it or not, I was so wrong, but
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: so in doing it, I didn't. I wasn't as emotional
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: as everybody else was. Sarah was very emotional. I remember that.
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: I was very emotional, but I I feel like I
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: wanted a new chapter of of my life. I was
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: so blessed. I mean, I was so clear how lucky
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: we were. I was so blessed for the opportunity and
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: and for how the show changed our life, and for
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: the incredible support we have from this most loyal and
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: amazing fan base. But I think I and Bill would
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: probably say it was time to like try something new.
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: And Scott can speak to this because he's done very
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: long runs on shows, and you kind of go like,
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: this is amazing, and I'm so clear lucky. I yeh,
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: I do want my life to have other chapters. For me,
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: I wanted to have a family and and it's very hard.
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: It was hard for me to maintain relationships and build
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: not just romantic relationships but friendships because of the time
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: I spent um in the abandoned hospital, and I I
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: wanted to sort take that to a new chapter. I
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: wanted to make more movies and and and do more filmmaking.
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: So I felt so grateful and I was so sad,
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: But at the time, I felt like I want I
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: wanted something new to to start. Scott, you must have
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: felt I was gonna I was gonna ask you, Scott,
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: because Scandal ran a really long time. Felicity had a
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: really nice run. The unit had a really nice run.
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: Like all of these shows that you were on, you've
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: experienced uh ending for a lot of shows. Have all
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: of them gone out on first the terms that you
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: guys wanted it to go out on, And second, how
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: are you feeling when you got to that point. I
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: don't think any of them have gone out on the
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: terms that you want them to go out on. You know,
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: television is the kind of business the television is is
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: is you know you wanted to run forever? Right? Paycheck,
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: good group of people. Um. And you know, I think
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: I think everyone from the actors to the writers to
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: the crew was like, oh wow, that's I gotta go
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: look for a job now, which is never fun. Um.
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: But I think there is a certain feeling when you've
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: done a hundred plus episodes of a TV show that
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: runs through everybody's head and I think everybody has some
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: similar feeling, which is this has been great. If this
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: keeps going, is this all I'm going to do? And
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: that's not necessarily a bad thing, but I want to
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: try something else. But there is also like I'm not
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: done with it yet, you know, like because ultimately it's
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: not us. With the exception scandal, Shonda Rhymes was the
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: person who said the show is done. I don't want
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: to write anymore. The show has had a great arc
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: and the characters I've told the stories I want to tell,
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: and that's it. I think had the network had their way,
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: the show would have gone on for another ten years
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: because it was doing so well. Um. But but it's
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: always Katie. It's always um sad. And you know, these
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: are people that you you get to know really well,
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: and you guys can speak to this as well. You
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: become really close there. Your family, you see them more
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: than you do your friends. All my friends know that.
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: When I'm on a TV show, I disappear for nine
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: months and it's you know, it's kind of who I
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: am and what you gotta do with It's an amazing
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: um uh, you're so lucky to have it happen, but
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: you do sacrifice a bunch of things. Um I can.
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: That's coming as a guy who doesn't have children yet,
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: like these guys too. I mean Donald had to go
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: on his last show and be in Jersey City with
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: his family in Los Angeles and being hard from his
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: kids for that long, and that was really, really, really
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: hard on on everybody except for his wife. Yeah, she
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: was so happy I was gone. She was cranking. Don't
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: stop believing. I came back home and my wife was like,
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: oh no, that's not how we do that. Like I
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: did one thing, She's like, no, that's not how we
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: do things here. That's brutal. Yeah, brutal. It happens to
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: me too. Who do you what do you think you're doing?
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: This is how we do it now. I had to
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: go through the crash course of how to live in
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: my own house. It was amazing thing. Oh that's not
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: how we do think. My mom is as a psychologist
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: and has done a lot of marriage counseling, and she said,
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: one of the most common things couples fight about is
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: how to load the dishwasher. What right, I don't. I
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: don't have that problem. I don't because you don't do
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: it the dishwashing. She was just giving. She was an
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: examing example of like thing that couples argue about, and
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: it was a big one. You're not supposed to tell you.
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: That's exactly right, Scott. You're not supposed to tell anybody
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: how to do If you tell me how to do it,
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: I'll stop doing it. Right, I'm not gonna I'm gonna
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: keep going right. Oh no, that's not how you put
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: the trash can in the trash the trash bag in
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: the trash can. All right, did you do the ship?
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: Then you got it? That's what I thought. You got it.
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: You got it. Cut to Donald being like, yes, we
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: heard the corners. All right, Katie, it's time for Canada's
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: favorite segment. It's time to wait, hold on, let's do
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: it again, Katie, it's time to fix your Sorry if
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: the baby was latching, Uh Katie, We we really really
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: have are transforming the world with this second. We're transforming
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: every little corner. Oprah doesn't have ship on us. Why
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: because we are really helping way more than she ever
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: did on her little show. Well, I want I want
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: to know that Joel just looked away and rolled their eyes.
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: That was that? Was that that? That is not my
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: opinion of it either, So please don't I love that
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: you guys think that Oprah is listening and writing your
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: names on a list of people that not hang out with. Listen,
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: you both, Donald and you are like, listen Oprah. In
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: case you're listening, that is not me. Sorry, listen, Joel.
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: You gotta let him think he's Opra because then we
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: might all get a car. Oh, by the way, we
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: are and give a special treat out today. I think
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: you well right, yes, okay, we'll save that from the end. Um,
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: all right, Katie, go ahead. It's better than that. Alright, Katie,
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: go ahead with your question. Okay, So I did think
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: of something. I was rapping my brain because I mean,
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: I don't want to sound like an asshole, but I'm
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: very blessed. My life pretty great right now. But I
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: do welcome Katie and just fixed. That's the shortest segment
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: we ever did. Uh No, it's a rare opportunity for
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: you guys to fix my future life because um, I'm
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: getting married next year, thank you. And it actually it's
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: in California, so you guys can all come through. We'll
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: be there. You invite me, Invite me, as long as
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: the Bluese is free. Invite me. You are all invited.
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: You can carry me down the aisle. I don't want
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: to do all that. I didn't want. I don't want
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: to be in flower girl, throw the flowers. I just
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: want to be there. I just want to be there.
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: I want to be there, have a drink and leave. Okay,
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: that's fine, we can do that. So my question to
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: you guys, and like all all of you, would just be,
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: how like what would your advice be to me to
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: just be like the best possible partner I can be
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: to my fiance. Um, she is the most amazing person ever.
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: She's my best friend. She's so beautiful and I just
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: want to make her happy forever. Oh God, I will
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: say I'm gonna say one thing and one thing only, alright,
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: but go ahead, be tactful. Patience is so important. That
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: is the most important thing you can have. My wife
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: has the most patience out of anybody I've ever met
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: in my life, because if I had to deal with
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: someone like me, I would freakingno, I leave me. I
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: would leave me if I had to deal with me.
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: And so my wife is one of the most patient
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: people on the planet and loves me unconditionally. And if
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: you got that in you, there's nothing that can be done. Well,
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: I shouldn't say that, there's very little that could be
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: done to ruin your relationship. My wife's tolerance of my
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: bullshit is what keeps our relationship a flip. All right, Scott, Fully,
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: you are married with children in a successful relationship. What's
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: your advice? Oh, man, Uh, I think patience is a
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: good one. I would I would urge you to listen
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: to not just what they're saying, but how your fiance
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: is saying it and why they're saying it. You know
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: why I found uh through uh much trial and error
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: that UM, when my wife is UH telling me something
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: or angry it's something, or or frustrated about something, UH
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: listening to that and not it's the hardest thing for
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: me not trying to fix it. UM. Which a lot
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: of men try to do, and you don't seem to
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: have that problem. I don't think. Um. But but just
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: listening and um and not try to fix whatever the
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: problem might be is sometimes the best way to go
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: because a lot of the times my wife doesn't want
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: me to fix it, or it's it's not fixable. Um,
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: it's just a matter of being there for someone. UM.
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: I'm not married. But one thing I think really helps
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: me when I'm communicating in relationships, and this goes for
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: not just from any relationship, not just romantic relationships, is
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: being able to admit when you're wrong. I think people automatically,
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: as human beings, we shift into defend what you did
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: at all costs. And there's so much power in being
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: able to take responsibility and truly listening to the person
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: and it might not be, uh, what you intended, it
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: may not have been what you thought you said, but
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: whatever it is that upset them because of the way
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: they experienced it, you can go. There's so much power
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: I have found being able to go, Okay, I'm just
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: giving you a random example that is certainly not what
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: I intended, and I'm very sorry that that that made
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: you feel that way, and I apologize if that's if
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: that's how it came across, just being able to stop
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: and go, stop defending and stop trying to be right,
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: and being able to say, Okay, I've digested what you're saying.
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: I certainly didn't intend it that way or whatever it is.
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: I'm just you know, picking an example and then being
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: able to take responsibility I think is a very very
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: powerful tool in all of your relationships. Now, Zach, I
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: have a question for you. Are you able to do
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: that without them going what I meant was and you know,
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: like that's to get you a problem for me? No?
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: I think I well, I think, you know, because I
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: usually I'm usually the guy like, look, I did not
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: wow that that did not you took that the wrong way,
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: and I'm I'm so sorry if it came out that way.
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: What I meant to say was the way you fucking
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: put that goddamn distion that. Yeah, I'm about to say,
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: I'm about to say, because what if you meant that
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: ship when you said it, that's good thing, you know
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: what I mean a lot of times, a lot of times,
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: you know, if your partner gets upset, you certainly didn't
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: intend to hurt their feelings or for them to get upset.
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: That's not that's not a normal person's intentions. Of course
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: it happens. So what happened there was a miscommunication or
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: there was a sensitivity on one of the people's part um,
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: And I think we get stuck in argument loops because
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: both people are trying to be right and if if,
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: if you can go, um, if you can both go like, Okay,
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: I hear what you're saying, I'm you know all I
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: think lie. People don't feel hurt. They're like, I'm speaking
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: in fucking circles because you're not hearing me. There's a
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: lot of power in saying I do hear you. You're
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: saying this. That's not what I intended. Um, I apologize
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: for it coming across like that. Here's what I meant
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: to say, not in the aggressive, jokey way that Scott saying,
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: but saying in a way like this is truly what
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: I meant. I'm not saying it's going to solve a arguments,
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: but I think it's a very sort of peaceful way
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: to have a conversation. I think there's one other thing
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: you mentioned. There's act that's so important to remember is
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: that when you're with someone, you're with them because you
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: love them and you want to be with them, and
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: never ever do you intend to hurt that person or
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: hurt their feelings. But it does happen, and you just
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: have to remember that neither one of you wants to
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: hurt the other. Right. Yeah. The other thing, I'll give
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: you what my therapist told me to read a book
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: that I haven't read yet, so I can't vouch for it,
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: but it's called Getting the Love You Want, and I
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: know it's a power. It's a very popular um sort
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: of couples conversation book. So Katie, you can read that.
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: That's my wedding gift to you. Dan, was there something
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: you wanted to say? Oh? No, I was just sitting
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: up in my chair. I support everything you guys have
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: said so far. I think patients listening. I mean, it's
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: just all very smart advice, and I think it concentrates
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: on having respect for your partner and and being aware
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: of your own not necessarily shortcomings, but you know situations
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: where you could be at fault. It's all about being
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: equal partners. Yeah, and Joel, I would I would call
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: on you, Joel, but we're trying to find you somebody
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: right now? Yes, this is the advice would be terrible
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: and oh no, here we go. Wait wait wait what
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: did this say on Twitter? Yes? Oh my goodness, working
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: on finding We are working on finding Joel a partner. Um.
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: I actually had someone slide into my d M s
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: and say, hey, introduced me to Joel. Um, I gotta
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: do a little recall on on her. But don't worry
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: this segment it's got fully. You may have missed this
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: because I don't know often you listen to the show,
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: But we are working on a new segment called find
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: youell a Lover. We're gonna be hopefully teaming up with
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: a popular dating app. Did I tell you? Did? I
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: mentioned on the show that there's a gaming gamers dating app.
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: Someone told me um that there's a How does that work?
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: How does a gamer's dating at work? Well? Playing video
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: games and they together? Worship could start playing a game.
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: My wife and I play video games all the time together.
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: Love to hear it. I would love to hear two
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: people just meet on a date and play Call of
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: Duty together game or some game where they're yelling, I
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: fucking body, do you piece? You should hear Marika. Hear Marika,
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: when we play Hallo online against twelve year olds, it's fantastic. Okay, listen, um,
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: I think it's called kimpo. Sorry, I'm doing the work
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: because I normally would ask you well to do this,
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: because this is for her. I want here here a

- 1:33:36Speaker 1: the works, it's on Dan. Dan's writing it. It was
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: already in an episode. It was alright, well then Dan
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: will play it here. Sorry, I hope there's bounty in
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: there Dan. If not, please add some bounce in that intro.

- 1:38:05Speaker 1: what it is. I think it's I think it's work.
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: I think it's a movie or something like that. I
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: could be wrong, but I want to. I want to.
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: I I just want to work with Scott again every

- 1:38:37Speaker 1: cock tales tales, tales tales, speaking of cocktails. Um, this
