- 0:12Speaker 1: Now we need to jump into the most important story
- 0:15Speaker 1: of the day, and that is yet another biohazard has
- 0:18Speaker 1: diverted a flight in the United States. This is what
- 0:24Speaker 1: the second one this year.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Evidently there have been more than that, but this is
- 0:30Speaker 2: the second one with audio.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Which is the reason why it gets inside the treehouse.
- 0:38Speaker 1: So let me set the stage for you. Yet another
- 0:41Speaker 1: biohazard has occurred in the air. A biohazard on a
- 0:46Speaker 1: United Airlines flight is the latest midair incident to trigger
- 0:49Speaker 1: an unplanned early landing of a commercial plane. You know
- 0:54Speaker 1: how they say when you're on a plane, when they
- 0:57Speaker 1: bring out the life vest and they say in the
- 1:00Speaker 1: unlikely event of a water landing, as opposed to say
- 1:03Speaker 1: in case we crash into the ocean or a lake.
- 1:05Speaker 1: You know, Yeah, if they keep having these biohazards, they're
- 1:10Speaker 1: gonna have to add that into the safety training and
- 1:13Speaker 1: have like a suit or something that will pop down
- 1:16Speaker 1: next to you know, your your air conditioning vent, and
- 1:20Speaker 1: they're gonna have to say, in the event of an
- 1:23Speaker 1: unplanned biohazard, spraying body suits will pop down and you're
- 1:30Speaker 1: supposed to secure yourself first, then the children.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Anyway, the spirit will charge you extra for that.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Yeah, no, that'll that'll be coin operated, or it'll be
- 1:42Speaker 1: the skiing swipe. Yeah, yes, it'll be a swipe machine.
- 1:46Speaker 1: You're gonna have to it'll that'll be one hundred dollars easy.
- 1:50Speaker 1: United Airlines says one passenger's medical issue caused flight twenty
- 1:54Speaker 1: four to seventy seven to land in Virginia, where the
- 1:57Speaker 1: plane had to be deep cleaned flight aware Sorry. Flight
- 2:03Speaker 1: Aware shows the flight departing Houston on Sunday morning, then
- 2:07Speaker 1: diverting to Washington Dulles International Airport about two hours into
- 2:11Speaker 1: the trip, just enough time for all that food to
- 2:13Speaker 1: get through the system. The flight was bound for Boston
- 2:16Speaker 1: Logan International Airport. However, with this audio between the pilot
- 2:23Speaker 1: and traffic air traffic Control, they decided that maybe it's
- 2:29Speaker 1: better we don't finish the flight all the way to Boston,
- 2:32Speaker 1: but instead maybe we should, you know, divert this.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Thing to the doctor.
- 2:37Speaker 3: And I talked to the crew and it sounds like
- 2:42Speaker 3: it's quite bad back there.
- 2:43Speaker 2: It's still really bad.
- 2:45Speaker 1: The crew is vomiting. I've seen this scene and family, guy,
- 2:58Speaker 1: I gotn't like I understand that. You know, the flight crew,
- 3:01Speaker 1: they go through a lot of training for various things,
- 3:05Speaker 1: and they clearly need to, I guess, do a new
- 3:10Speaker 1: course on biohazards, because the last thing you want during
- 3:15Speaker 1: your flight is to have the flight crew looking or
- 3:20Speaker 1: sounding or being alarmed in such a fashion where they
- 3:23Speaker 1: are also involved in all the vomiting around the plane.
- 3:26Speaker 3: I just don't want to be the person that has
- 3:27Speaker 3: to write the booklet for the the Explosive Diarrhea Manual
- 3:31Speaker 3: for United. I don't ever want to get that credit.
- 3:36Speaker 3: It's like, oh man, that's the guy. That's the guy
- 3:38Speaker 3: who wrote it right there.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Also, what's that light look like when you when you
- 3:42Speaker 1: illuminate it? You got to hit the brown button?
- 3:52Speaker 3: Oh lord? So okay, the crew is vomiting and passengers
- 4:00Speaker 3: all around are are asking for bath, part me, et cetera.
- 4:05Speaker 1: And uh it sounds like I think, you know, twenty
- 4:08Speaker 1: minute of light to Cleveland is probably the better option instead.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Of going to an hour and forty to uh straight ahead.
- 4:15Speaker 3: The boss, especially with it's kind of being a bio
- 4:18Speaker 3: has should I think we need to probably get this
- 4:20Speaker 3: plane on the ground a sap.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I think.
- 4:28Speaker 3: My only thought is like that every when you have
- 4:31Speaker 3: to dboard that plane and so so does that person.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Right right, do they get off first or do you
- 4:39Speaker 1: stick them in the back?
- 4:41Speaker 3: I don't know what that I don't I think that
- 4:43Speaker 3: you know that one one side door that nobody ever
- 4:46Speaker 3: there's no uh like nowhere to get out of.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Yeah, there's like the back exit, but then there's also
- 4:54Speaker 1: on the other side of the plane where they bring
- 4:56Speaker 1: on the food and stuff.
- 5:03Speaker 2: You had done something that bad, you would just lock
- 5:05Speaker 2: yourself in the bathroom, yeah, and.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Not and not ever come out.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Yeah, that's when they opened that one side like that,
- 5:13Speaker 3: not where the food comes in, but the other one
- 5:14Speaker 3: that should throw you down the slide and like you
- 5:16Speaker 3: walk home.
- 5:18Speaker 1: That's the other thing too, is they tell you it's
- 5:20Speaker 1: a water slide, but in reality.
- 5:34Speaker 4: You're listening to the tree house. Visit us online that
- 5:38Speaker 4: treehouse on air dot com.
- 5:42Speaker 1: That's the poop slide.
- 5:44Speaker 3: That's the poop shoot.
- 5:50Speaker 1: A three three Cook df W. That's the phone number
- 5:52Speaker 1: to reach Daniel and Carrie Cook from Cook DFW Roofing
- 5:55Speaker 1: and Restoration the website Cook dfw dot com. Put you
- 5:58Speaker 1: on the spot, Daniel, do you have any big New
- 6:00Speaker 1: Year's resolutions?
- 6:01Speaker 5: Well, I'm definitely not going to be flying my drone
- 6:03Speaker 5: anywhere in DFW right away.
- 6:05Speaker 1: I think there's a there's.
- 6:07Speaker 5: Some there's some major people that are looking for drones
- 6:09Speaker 5: right now. And funny story, I actually had a client
- 6:12Speaker 5: that knew I was on their property and I was
- 6:14Speaker 5: flying a drone. He lives in the country and they
- 6:16Speaker 5: had a huge house and we were doing drone shots
- 6:19Speaker 5: and he literally came out and says, is this your drone?
- 6:22Speaker 5: I go yes, sir, and he goes, man, I was
- 6:23Speaker 5: about to shoot that thing down. So Trey is right,
- 6:26Speaker 5: and Texas, you don't mess around with drones and so
- 6:29Speaker 5: but New Year's resolutions, and typically I don't because I
- 6:36Speaker 5: try to be good and do the right thing every day.
- 6:39Speaker 5: So I went on a huge diet last year.
- 6:42Speaker 2: You know, I did a whole bunch.
- 6:43Speaker 5: Of food and research and trying to work.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Out a little bit more.
- 6:47Speaker 5: Those are just good things for you overall.
- 6:50Speaker 2: So I know you work out all the time.
- 6:52Speaker 1: So yeah, it's not a New Year's resolution. It's something
- 6:54Speaker 1: I'm just trying to be a little bit better today
- 6:56Speaker 1: than I was yesterday.
- 6:57Speaker 2: That's it.
- 6:58Speaker 5: When he started, you're not as old as me yet,
- 7:00Speaker 5: but when you start get my age, you know, there's
- 7:01Speaker 5: things that you gotta do to make sure you're ready
- 7:04Speaker 5: to go as you get older.
- 7:05Speaker 3: You want to enjoy life.
- 7:06Speaker 2: That's about. That's what we're all here to do. Enjoy life,
- 7:09Speaker 2: have fun.
- 7:10Speaker 3: That's it.
- 7:11Speaker 1: There's your new Year's resolution, enjoy life. And one way
- 7:14Speaker 1: in which you can enjoy your life more is to
- 7:16Speaker 1: make sure you don't have any holes in your roof.
- 7:17Speaker 1: So called Daniel Cook. He'll come make sure you don't
- 7:20Speaker 1: and if you do, you'll fix them eight three three
- 7:22Speaker 1: Cook DFW or that website, cookdfw dot com. One more
- 7:27Speaker 1: thing I wanted to point out about the Olympics and
- 7:29Speaker 1: some of the peripheral stories that have been happening around
- 7:34Speaker 1: Paris is the dirty river water in Paris. Now, granted,
- 7:42Speaker 1: I took French in high school for a few years,
- 7:44Speaker 1: but I'm not sure if I'm saying the name of
- 7:45Speaker 1: the river properly. Is it the Sane River?
- 7:48Speaker 3: It's the sin the.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Sene River, that makes sense, the Sen River, So the
- 7:53Speaker 1: Sand River has been dirty for hundreds of years. I mean,
- 7:56Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure Paris was designed for all the sewer
- 8:00Speaker 1: to flow directly into it, right. Well, that was an
- 8:05Speaker 1: issue that was brought up with the International Olympic Committee
- 8:10Speaker 1: when it came time to whether or not to award
- 8:13Speaker 1: Paris the Olympics, contrete like, well, your river's kind of
- 8:19Speaker 1: a toilet, so how can we fix this to actually
- 8:21Speaker 1: have the Olympics and have events in that river? And oh,
- 8:24Speaker 1: we'll get it cleaned up. So they get it cleaned up.
- 8:27Speaker 2: At the cost of one point five billion.
- 8:29Speaker 1: That's right. And then one point five billion dollars of
- 8:33Speaker 1: clean up efforts went away all in one flood because
- 8:39Speaker 1: it all came roaring back into the river to where
- 8:42Speaker 1: they had to actually postpone certain events that were scheduled
- 8:46Speaker 1: to take place in the Sin River for the Paris Olympics,
- 8:50Speaker 1: and that includes the triathlon because they're not doing the
- 8:54Speaker 1: regular swimming stuff in the river, which would be interesting.
- 8:58Speaker 1: U they still do all the freestyle and the breaststroke
- 9:01Speaker 1: and all those things that Michael Phelps and Katie Ladecki
- 9:04Speaker 1: have dominated at They do that in a controlled environment
- 9:07Speaker 1: in a chlorinated pool. It would be interesting to see
- 9:10Speaker 1: how they would do in the open dirty water though.
- 9:13Speaker 1: But other events do happen in that water, like the triathlon.
- 9:16Speaker 1: The rowing stuff happens now. Granted the rowers unless something
- 9:19Speaker 1: is really gone bad. They don't have to actually get
- 9:22Speaker 1: in the water. The triathletes do because they got to
- 9:25Speaker 1: swim in that water. And there's one Olympian in particular
- 9:32Speaker 1: from Belgium, and she took issue with some of the
- 9:37Speaker 1: pollution in the water at the Paris Olympics because there
- 9:42Speaker 1: was a postponement due to the pollution. The water was
- 9:44Speaker 1: deemed safe enough to swim on Wednesday, but just a
- 9:48Speaker 1: couple of days before, the river was tested and it had,
- 9:52Speaker 1: you know, monumental amounts of E. Coli and other bacteria. Okay, So,
- 9:58Speaker 1: Julian Vermilion of Belgium, who finished twenty fourth in the triathlon,
- 10:02Speaker 1: blasted Olympic officials who made the call to hold the race.
- 10:06Speaker 1: While she admitted that a cancelation would have been a disgrace,
- 10:10Speaker 1: she said she didn't think the water was safe enough
- 10:12Speaker 1: to swim, and she said, while swimming under the bridge,
- 10:15Speaker 1: I felt and saw things that we shouldn't think about
- 10:17Speaker 1: too much. Oh, I drank a lot of water, so
- 10:22Speaker 1: we'll know tomorrow if I'm sick or not. It doesn't
- 10:25Speaker 1: taste like coca cola or sprite. Of course, the sind
- 10:28Speaker 1: River has been dirty for one hundred years, so they
- 10:30Speaker 1: can't say the safety of the athletes is a priority.
- 10:33Speaker 1: That is bull. That's the wrong button. Hang on, Uh,
- 10:39Speaker 1: she said, that's b Yes, that's bull. That's still the
- 10:42Speaker 1: wrong button. Oh, hang on, that's bull.
- 10:44Speaker 3: There we go, there we go.
- 10:46Speaker 1: I'll fine, I'll figure out these buttons eventually. But yeah,
- 10:49Speaker 1: you know, nothing like one leg of the triathlon having
- 10:53Speaker 1: to swim through a little a literal river of I mean,
- 11:00Speaker 1: I mean it's bad enough when the triathlon when during
- 11:01Speaker 1: the swimming portion, because all these competitors are around you,
- 11:05Speaker 1: now imagine duty. That's probably when your hand reaches forward
- 11:11Speaker 1: and it touches it.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, that's a that's a that's a thing.
- 11:18Speaker 2: That's a.
- 11:20Speaker 3: In in like in India, there are like, you know,
- 11:22Speaker 3: the on the side of the road that you have
- 11:24Speaker 3: little creeks and people do their business in the in
- 11:26Speaker 3: the creeks and stuff like that. But uh, full on
- 11:29Speaker 3: river of do Uh, that is a.
- 11:34Speaker 1: I think they should just rename that the Shawshank event.
- 11:40Speaker 1: You get the award, you get the Anti Frame Award
- 11:43Speaker 1: for swimming through all the excrement to get to the
- 11:48Speaker 1: to get to the gold medal podium.
- 11:50Speaker 3: All expense paid trip does they watch and ah, yeah.
- 11:54Speaker 2: When they fly home, the fly like you might as
- 11:56Speaker 2: well just go ahead put on the biohazard suits.
- 12:02Speaker 3: Well you haven't even landed, and they've already declared an
- 12:04Speaker 3: emergency landing, Like you haven't even taken off yet.
- 12:08Speaker 1: They know those Olympic triathletes, they know where they've been
- 12:13Speaker 1: and now they're they're gonna have to take their own flight.
- 12:18Speaker 3: That's just you can't. You can't.
- 12:19Speaker 2: You can't.
- 12:21Speaker 3: You can't even shower that off like that is that's
- 12:24Speaker 3: in you? Now?
- 12:26Speaker 1: It's yeah, you're right. Not only was it on you,
- 12:28Speaker 1: but it's in you. And uh, at some point you
- 12:32Speaker 1: get to tell the story about how you are an Olympian, right,
- 12:37Speaker 1: Most people's stories as Olympians involve the their competitors, their teammates.
- 12:43Speaker 1: These athletes have to talk about the other things in
- 12:45Speaker 1: the water with them.
- 12:48Speaker 3: She said, she swam and felt things. Yeah, that's uh,
- 12:52Speaker 3: that's just okay, that's gross.
- 12:55Speaker 1: And and and and here's the other thing. That's French.
- 12:58Speaker 3: So you know it smells worse, but it makes great wine.
- 13:07Speaker 2: And it's condescending.
- 13:16Speaker 6: Visit us Onlinehouse on air dot com.
- 13:20Speaker 1: And it also smokes, which is weird. ESPN the Oho
- 13:33Speaker 1: mm hmm was fake in the movie Dodgeball. It took
- 13:37Speaker 1: a number of years, but ESPN finally embraced it and
- 13:41Speaker 1: created ESPN the OCHO for real. Yes, Now, I didn't
- 13:46Speaker 1: realize this until recently. Not only did not only did
- 13:49Speaker 1: they embrace it, but they've actually made it an actual
- 13:53Speaker 1: channel watchable from ESPN and they do this yearly. You
- 13:58Speaker 1: know how they're Shark week there's the OCHO weekend now.
- 14:04Speaker 2: And they do it multiple times a year now.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Oh really? Okay, So one of the things I was
- 14:08Speaker 1: reading earlier today was that I thought it was just
- 14:10Speaker 1: a once a year thing.
- 14:12Speaker 2: No, they they've really leaned it used to be once
- 14:14Speaker 2: a year Now I think they're doing it two three
- 14:15Speaker 2: times a year on slow weekends, just obviously once the
- 14:20Speaker 2: NFL's gone. They especially in the summer.
- 14:22Speaker 3: That Yeah, I.
- 14:26Speaker 2: On ESPN News.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I believe it was. It was where they started
- 14:30Speaker 3: airing the Cornhole Championships. Was on the show. It's moved.
- 14:36Speaker 3: It's it's more mainstream now, but it originally aired on
- 14:40Speaker 3: the show.
- 14:40Speaker 1: That's how it starts.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Though.
- 14:41Speaker 1: You put something on the show, you give it life. Yeah,
- 14:47Speaker 1: and people realize these other sports exist Yeah, and they
- 14:52Speaker 1: become fans and they see these sports. Yeah, that seem
- 14:57Speaker 1: very approachable and regular people. I us think I could
- 15:01Speaker 1: do that. Yeah, I could play cornhole and and and win.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Well, I mean, one of the one of the biggest
- 15:07Speaker 3: stars has no arms or legs, So I'm thinking if
- 15:10Speaker 3: you have both of those, then you're pretty much ahead.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Of the game, really ahead of the game.
- 15:19Speaker 3: I had to laugh at it when I said, I'm
- 15:23Speaker 3: so ashamed of you and shoulders above everybody else.
- 15:27Speaker 1: How is that not his endorsement.
- 15:30Speaker 3: Because he can't wash his hair.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Look, I'm sure a lot of people told him he
- 15:41Speaker 1: couldn't play cornhole either, and he found a way. I'm
- 15:43Speaker 1: sure he could find a way to wash his hair.
- 15:44Speaker 3: He sponsored by bush being inside. I don't know why.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Well, that's because he's still got a hole. Not everything
- 15:54Speaker 1: was taken from him.
- 16:00Speaker 3: That man has a heart and a colon of gold.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Don't ever underestimate.
- 16:09Speaker 3: That's how he That's how he pushes his his The
- 16:12Speaker 3: bean back through is with a little back and back
- 16:17Speaker 3: and help. Yeah, it's it's all propulsion from the bush beat.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Not only as it served NASA well, it's also served
- 16:24Speaker 1: him well in the national Cornhole League. So ESPN's the
- 16:28Speaker 1: OCHO is a real thing now, it's manifested into reality.
- 16:34Speaker 1: And I saw the other day someone actually posted the
- 16:36Speaker 1: programming schedule for it and I was stunned. But we
- 16:42Speaker 1: missed it. I mean, the OCHO programming was last weekend.
- 16:47Speaker 1: It included fifty four hours of unique obscure sports, including
- 16:50Speaker 1: more than twenty one hours of live content. So what
- 16:54Speaker 1: were those events which aired on ESPN, ESPN two and
- 16:59Speaker 1: the OHO streaming Hub. Here's what the days looked like.
- 17:02Speaker 1: On Thursday, it was minor League baseball, the Savannah Bananas
- 17:07Speaker 1: versus the Party Animals. Yes, which if you have not
- 17:10Speaker 1: seen the Savannah Bananas, they're actually pretty awesome because they
- 17:13Speaker 1: will stop in the middle of a game and just
- 17:16Speaker 1: do dance videos and stuff for their social media channels.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Pretty funny trade you find it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, there
- 17:23Speaker 1: you go.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Yeah. So Micro Microsoft ex Cel World Championship.
- 17:29Speaker 3: Do you know who the Do you know who the
- 17:30Speaker 3: winner was?
- 17:32Speaker 2: I don't know. I just I just want to hear
- 17:34Speaker 2: the announcers. Oh my god, the formula that he came
- 17:38Speaker 2: up with.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Oh the function of acts. Holy cow, no one saw
- 17:42Speaker 1: that coming. You had the twenty twenty four Corgi Races,
- 17:46Speaker 1: the World Dog Surfing Championships, Sasquatch Uncut, Beard and Mustache. Oh, okay,
- 17:54Speaker 1: that's like Sasquatch so sponsoring beard and Mustache event. Then
- 18:00Speaker 1: you got speed Chess and the Microsoft ex Cell World Championships.
- 18:04Speaker 1: That's just one day. Here's some other things that happened
- 18:07Speaker 1: on ESPN. The OCHO on Friday, Red Bull, Game Ball,
- 18:13Speaker 1: Royal Ultimate Ninja World Series Finales three, Rivers, Waiter and
- 18:17Speaker 1: Waitress competition. Then you get the beard Mustache competition brought
- 18:21Speaker 1: to you by Sasquatch. The twenty twenty two I guess
- 18:27Speaker 1: it was a classic. Corunna Beltsander Races. The twenty twenty
- 18:32Speaker 1: USA Mullet Championships. Oh, the forty six Annual Cherry Pit
- 18:37Speaker 1: Spitting Championships. Okay, the twenty twenty three Wisconsin Auctioneers Championship,
- 18:44Speaker 1: Competitive Speed Cubing, the International Jump Rope Union World Championships,
- 18:50Speaker 1: Blade Masters, Ax and Knife Throwing.
- 18:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Twenty twenty four Bull Shooter Invitational Shootout where I don't
- 18:58Speaker 1: know if they're actually shooting the bulls, in which case
- 19:00Speaker 1: they're just taking what Pamplona does and saying well, America
- 19:03Speaker 1: will raise you one. Yeah, Omega Ball, the Ocho Show,
- 19:09Speaker 1: but that's fun. The twenty twenty four AWA Wiffle Ball
- 19:12Speaker 1: All Star Game, which means they have a regular season
- 19:15Speaker 1: to have an All Star game. Then there's the USA
- 19:17Speaker 1: Dodgeball All Star Showcase, the Man Scaped Turf Wars, Adult
- 19:22Speaker 1: Kickball Championship, Table Tennis, Slippery Stairs Cornhole League, Silver Back
- 19:28Speaker 1: Breaking Invitational, which if you're trying to break a silver back,
- 19:32Speaker 1: I would watch that competition because my money's on. Then
- 19:36Speaker 1: they air Dodgeball, a true underdog story. That's just all
- 19:39Speaker 1: on Friday.
- 19:40Speaker 3: Mm hm.
- 19:41Speaker 2: But you know, is the Mullet Championship Is that like looks?
- 19:45Speaker 2: Or is that the guy driving in his eighty four
- 19:47Speaker 2: Chevy pickup like being able to tosh the bush like
- 19:51Speaker 2: can speeding out of the truck into the trash can
- 19:53Speaker 2: like yeah, yeah, advents or as it looks?
- 19:57Speaker 1: No, I understand that makes sense?
- 20:00Speaker 3: Yeah? Is it?
- 20:01Speaker 1: Is it purely look based or is there a skill
- 20:03Speaker 1: based uh function of it? Kind of like the uh
- 20:07Speaker 1: Miss America Tournament where it's not just the bathing suit,
- 20:10Speaker 1: but they also have to talk to them.
- 20:12Speaker 3: Yes, uh they have, they have they have different competitions, right,
- 20:17Speaker 3: so they have like a skills and like a swimsuit.
- 20:21Speaker 1: You know what. Actually some of these events sound like
- 20:24Speaker 1: events that would occur during the Mullet Championship. Uh. For example,
- 20:29Speaker 1: a ball clash, battle of the Buoie two National Putting Tour,
- 20:36Speaker 1: the forehand Strike competition, yeah.
- 20:40Speaker 3: Uh.
- 20:40Speaker 1: And then this one certainly Ultimate tire Wrestling, Yes. And
- 20:45Speaker 1: the one I was telling Raj about the other day,
- 20:48Speaker 1: the car Jitsu Championship, which airs on the ojo that's
- 20:52Speaker 1: where people do jiu jitsu in a car. I told
- 20:55Speaker 1: Raj about this the other day because Russia takes all
- 20:57Speaker 1: these things to another level. They do uh car judo
- 21:01Speaker 1: or car jiu jitsu, whis just two Russian dudes in
- 21:04Speaker 1: in in a hatchback wrestling. And I think they amp
- 21:08Speaker 1: it up by making him do it inside of a
- 21:10Speaker 1: Ford pinto, which you know could explode it anytime.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Now.
- 21:13Speaker 3: In the mullet competition, is there like is there a
- 21:16Speaker 3: subdivision for like? Is it like the angry lesbian division?
- 21:21Speaker 3: Who wins? Because I've seen and and and I I'm
- 21:25Speaker 3: in misquaite.
- 21:26Speaker 6: Uh.
- 21:26Speaker 3: And let me just say I have seen at Chili's
- 21:32Speaker 3: two very powerful lesbian mullets. So I just so, is
- 21:38Speaker 3: it open to all genders and races or are we going?
- 21:43Speaker 1: I would imagine is pretty progressive.
- 21:45Speaker 3: Okay, because there's an Indian guy at my last show
- 21:47Speaker 3: with he could have he could have won for international mullet.
- 21:51Speaker 2: I bet I I the lesbian one would be obviously
- 21:53Speaker 2: the Super Championships.
- 21:58Speaker 3: The winner gets a husky.
- 22:03Speaker 1: It really just sells itself.
- 22:08Speaker 2: You're in the treehouse.
- 22:13Speaker 6: Visit US online a treehouse on air dot com.
- 22:22Speaker 1: The Water and Power Authority of the US Virgin Islands
- 22:25Speaker 1: is out for blood. They've had it with everyone complaining, ditching,
- 22:29Speaker 1: moaning about blackouts, doubled and tripled bills even though you
- 22:36Speaker 1: didn't have power for most of the month. Anyway, it
- 22:39Speaker 1: really is a huge cluster f in the Islands when
- 22:42Speaker 1: it comes to power generation. And I need to say
- 22:46Speaker 1: it again, I'm sorry or cut for all the terrible
- 22:50Speaker 1: things I've said to you and about you with your
- 22:53Speaker 1: grid operation in Texas, because Texans could have it way
- 22:57Speaker 1: way worse. If you're not sure, just come to Virgin Islands.
- 23:02Speaker 1: That being said, it does appear that the Water and
- 23:05Speaker 1: Power Authority is out for blood. And the example I
- 23:08Speaker 1: have is thus two weeks ago, a one hundred year
- 23:12Speaker 1: old This is from the Virgin Island Daily News.
- 23:14Speaker 3: Okay, okay, a.
- 23:16Speaker 1: One hundred year old Saint Thomas Man was trapped sitting
- 23:20Speaker 1: upright in an electric bed after the Virgin Islands Water
- 23:25Speaker 1: and Power Authority abruptly cut off his power. His daughter
- 23:32Speaker 1: said the centenarian was left to suffer for more than
- 23:36Speaker 1: six hours. This is terrible. This is one of the
- 23:45Speaker 1: worst stories.
- 23:46Speaker 2: I've heard in a long time.
- 23:48Speaker 3: Oh, I wasn't ready for it.
- 23:50Speaker 1: Neither was he. The was aready to be in there
- 23:56Speaker 1: for a few minutes, just the if you can get out,
- 23:58Speaker 1: maybe go outside and enjoy the enjoy the fresh salt air.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Maybe go to sibs for one. But he stuck in
- 24:09Speaker 1: his electric chair because the Water Power Authority turned off
- 24:12Speaker 1: his electricity.
- 24:14Speaker 3: His whole life, he's been waiting for technology to keep advancing.
- 24:18Speaker 3: He's like, I can't believe I live to see the
- 24:20Speaker 3: iPhone and then cut to I'm stuck in this ep.
- 24:26Speaker 1: It troubles me to think that somewhere in the Virgin Islands,
- 24:28Speaker 1: where all these billionaires and millionaires have socked money away,
- 24:32Speaker 1: it wasn't just money, like somewhere there's a lab probably
- 24:35Speaker 1: in St. Thomas, where they keep the heads of dead billionaires,
- 24:39Speaker 1: and part of the reason that they're sustained is through
- 24:41Speaker 1: electric power. Meanwhile, wapa's over there playing with the switches.
- 24:45Speaker 1: So if if they put one of these heads back
- 24:47Speaker 1: on a body in a hundred years, who knows what
- 24:49Speaker 1: we're gonna end up with.
- 24:52Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, So finish. That was at the end
- 24:54Speaker 3: of the story, because I.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Just that's the end of the story. Unfortunately, the Virgin
- 24:57Speaker 1: Island Daily News did not publish a follow up story.
- 25:01Speaker 1: I don't know if that man's still stuck in that bed.
- 25:06Speaker 2: He's probably been battling red tape for years to get
- 25:08Speaker 2: that electric hospital bed to make his life easier.
- 25:14Speaker 3: I just want to know, Like the power glitch and
- 25:17Speaker 3: it just just pushed him forward, so he was just
- 25:20Speaker 3: like for six hours of staring at his junk.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Well, here's the thing, because it might be it might
- 25:30Speaker 1: be a six hour blackout, but really with these rolling
- 25:32Speaker 1: blackouts in the Virgin Islands, sometimes they're intermittent and they
- 25:37Speaker 1: just kind of come out of nowhere. So he may
- 25:39Speaker 1: not have just been suspended in this electric chair for
- 25:42Speaker 1: six hours. It might have been jolting him on and
- 25:44Speaker 1: off in different positions for the entire six hours power flips.
- 25:49Speaker 2: I Oh, finally goes get the button.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Next thing you know, it looks like doctor Frankenstein. He's
- 25:55Speaker 1: shoving this dude up through the roof and he's being
- 25:57Speaker 1: hit by light. He left and right. But yeah, you
- 26:01Speaker 1: got that chair from Medicare.
- 26:04Speaker 3: It's just a power surgeon that them straight up the
- 26:07Speaker 3: stairs faster than he's ever been in his life. Old
- 26:12Speaker 3: you survived one hundred years and a power outage. Electric
- 26:15Speaker 3: chair kills.
- 26:16Speaker 1: You well because it keeps your reviving.
- 26:24Speaker 4: You were listening to the tree House visit us online
- 26:28Speaker 4: a Treehouse on air dot com.
- 26:39Speaker 1: This past weekend, you had the Top of the box
- 26:43Speaker 1: Office being ruled by Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively. They're
- 26:47Speaker 1: two movies tops at the box office for the first
- 26:51Speaker 1: time since I think it was nineteen ninety that a
- 26:55Speaker 1: Hollywood couple has ruled the box office. Who is the
- 26:59Speaker 1: couple all the way back in nineteen ninety to achieve
- 27:01Speaker 1: the same feat, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. Demi Moore
- 27:06Speaker 1: had Ghost in Theaters and Bruce Willis had Die Hard two.
- 27:11Speaker 1: So a quick would you rather a quick verses if
- 27:15Speaker 1: you will.
- 27:17Speaker 2: Let me find my music.
- 27:19Speaker 1: This is important. Trey Raj, Welcome to verses, Happy to
- 27:25Speaker 1: be here on tapped today. Would you rather take in
- 27:32Speaker 1: a double feature of ruling box office couples? Would you
- 27:37Speaker 1: rather take in the double feature of die Hard Too
- 27:42Speaker 1: and Ghost starring Bruce will listen to me more respectively?
- 27:46Speaker 1: Or go to the movie theater right now and take
- 27:49Speaker 1: in the very interestingly paired double feature of Deadpool and
- 27:53Speaker 1: Wolverine and the domestic violence Flower movie. It ends with
- 27:57Speaker 1: us darring Blake Lively, which feature are you walking into?
- 28:02Speaker 1: No bathroom breaks?
- 28:06Speaker 3: Who are we starting with?
- 28:08Speaker 1: Based on the look on Trey's face, I'm gonna start with.
- 28:11Speaker 3: You Rush Well. Blake Lively is getting a lot of
- 28:15Speaker 3: heat from the icing out her co star in this
- 28:22Speaker 3: new movie. But then there is Deadpool Wolverine, which is great.
- 28:25Speaker 3: But I would nostalgia wise, I would go back and
- 28:29Speaker 3: I would do die Hard Too. In Ghost.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Interesting, I will say one of my favorite lines in
- 28:35Speaker 1: any movie ever is from die Hard Too. But because
- 28:39Speaker 1: it's so obscure to the zeitgeist that it's hard to
- 28:43Speaker 1: find it online, I just need to pull it myself
- 28:45Speaker 1: and post it because it's a beautifully delivered line. In
- 28:50Speaker 1: the movie I'm brain farting on the actor's name, But
- 28:53Speaker 1: Andy Sippowitz from NYPD Blue is the police captain at
- 28:57Speaker 1: Dallas International Airport where John McClain is dealing with more
- 29:02Speaker 1: terrorists on Christmas. And in that film, Dennis fron Dennis Franz,
- 29:10Speaker 1: thank you very much. In that film, Dennis Franz and
- 29:14Speaker 1: Bruce Willis as their respective characters and diehartwo are having
- 29:16Speaker 1: an argument, and at one point, Dennis Franz delivers the
- 29:20Speaker 1: classic line, I'm stunned. I gotta lie down. I have
- 29:26Speaker 1: used that line on the show so many times over
- 29:29Speaker 1: the years. I feel like I owe him a royalty check.
- 29:34Speaker 1: So that's my quick sidebar about Diehard too, Trey, what
- 29:37Speaker 1: about you? Which double feature? Are you attending Deadpool and
- 29:40Speaker 1: Wolverine with it ends with us? Or are you going
- 29:43Speaker 1: back to nineteen ninety and walking into Ghost paired with
- 29:50Speaker 1: Diehard two.
- 29:52Speaker 2: That's such a tough one because Diehard two not my
- 29:56Speaker 2: favorite Diehard h.
- 30:00Speaker 1: You mean you didn't like it? When you didn't like
- 30:02Speaker 1: it when the general was doing naked karate in his
- 30:05Speaker 1: hotel room.
- 30:08Speaker 3: I thought we would brush past that, but here we.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Are absolutely not. It also made it very difficult to
- 30:18Speaker 1: watch the third Iron Man movie because the same actor
- 30:20Speaker 1: is playing the president. I'm thinking I've seen that man
- 30:22Speaker 1: do naked karate and this authotypically in the reflection.
- 30:30Speaker 2: They died hard too, just because the ending they just
- 30:33Speaker 2: worked so hard for him to say Yippi kaye.
- 30:37Speaker 1: Really gratifying, though, isn't it. Yeah that zippo.
- 30:42Speaker 2: Yeah, Ghost all time, great movie I did, just because
- 30:48Speaker 2: it's so good. I'll have to go with Deadpool and
- 30:50Speaker 2: Wolverine and interesting.
- 30:52Speaker 1: All right, so well, very cool. I'm I'm glad to
- 30:56Speaker 1: see some some conflict between the two of you today
- 31:00Speaker 1: in the latest edition of Versus.
- 31:01Speaker 3: But haven't we all done at some point in our lives.
- 31:05Speaker 3: I'm forty nine. I know I've done naked karate before,
- 31:09Speaker 3: have you guys not? At some point? Just just tried
- 31:15Speaker 3: it after you saw that like, no, no naked karate.
- 31:26Speaker 1: That's Versus for today. Inside the treehouse where stands alone.
- 31:36Speaker 3: I was in my birthday GI.
- 31:43Speaker 1: I really hate you because now I have that in
- 31:45Speaker 1: my head.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Are you addressing your penis as since.
- 31:54Speaker 3: You don't want to know where the dojo is?
- 31:57Speaker 1: I've seen him wax on and off to it.
- 32:05Speaker 6: Visits online freehouse on air dot com.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Trey is eight years sober. So we're very excited for you, Trey.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Thank you, I I while congratulations are in order, is
- 32:24Speaker 1: there a gift that we should get you? And I
- 32:26Speaker 1: know you said that you're a You're a sweets fiend
- 32:28Speaker 1: now as our most recovering alcoholics, because before I don't
- 32:32Speaker 1: think I really ever recall you craving any sweets at all.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Days now you're just like running around some like a
- 32:42Speaker 1: like a kid who's chasing wily wonka.
- 32:45Speaker 2: Oh, I guess my first day of sobriety like it's
- 32:49Speaker 2: I would have gutted somebody for a snicker doodle.
- 32:51Speaker 3: And still, yeah, that's little whitest thing I've ever heard
- 32:55Speaker 3: anybody say, I doodles cinnamon? Is that what that is?
- 33:00Speaker 2: Cinnamon and sugar?
- 33:01Speaker 3: Oh gotcha?
- 33:02Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, it's the perfect balance, cinnamon, brown sugar. It's just.
- 33:10Speaker 1: It's also a Tray's prison name.
- 33:13Speaker 3: Brown Show was my nickname in college.
- 33:15Speaker 1: So well yeah, well no you'r raj. Your nickname in
- 33:18Speaker 1: college was brown sugar. And as we found out last episode, yes,
- 33:22Speaker 1: super would Trey's nickname is snicker Doodle.
- 33:28Speaker 3: So you started. So that's the thing, right is sweets? Now, Yes, it's.
- 33:34Speaker 2: Your body when you're used, when your body is used
- 33:37Speaker 2: to that much sugar, especially for me, when you drank
- 33:39Speaker 2: every day for twenty five years. Yeah, that much sugar
- 33:42Speaker 2: in your system, it constantly craves it.
- 33:44Speaker 3: So yeah, it's and what was the drink of choice?
- 33:47Speaker 3: So what was I didn't know you when you were drinking?
- 33:50Speaker 3: So Jack Daniels, Jack Daniels, Okay, I mean I went.
- 33:53Speaker 2: Through a Scotch phase, went through this is this is
- 33:56Speaker 2: how much I drank. And you have to remember the
- 33:58Speaker 2: Old Loon. The Old Loony is a very popular bar
- 34:03Speaker 2: and uh, may she rest in peace? And uh it
- 34:08Speaker 2: served a three ounce poor And you know I said,
- 34:10Speaker 2: you know, you could drink at the Loon, you could
- 34:11Speaker 2: drink anywhere, and that was true. But I drink so
- 34:14Speaker 2: much when I switched from Stoonly Orange to Jack Daniels,
- 34:18Speaker 2: it affected their inventory.
- 34:24Speaker 3: Really yeah.
- 34:25Speaker 1: And not only that, but when you stop drinking, it
- 34:28Speaker 1: affected their bottom line. That's exactly it. Look there, there
- 34:33Speaker 1: is is there's a reason why the Loon, there's a
- 34:36Speaker 1: reason why we say rest in peace to the Loon.
- 34:38Speaker 1: It's because Dray went sober and they went out of
- 34:40Speaker 1: business and that bar was opened since.
- 34:44Speaker 3: The sixties, they turned into a shell.
- 34:47Speaker 7: Actually, the CBS if that was if you knew, if
- 34:53Speaker 7: you knew the number of x loon patrons that are
- 34:56Speaker 7: in the rooms of AA.
- 35:02Speaker 3: So that was a drink of choice was just straight jack,
- 35:04Speaker 3: jack and diet jack.
- 35:06Speaker 1: And diet yeah.
- 35:07Speaker 2: So drinking.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Yeah, So when Tray when alcohol, well, when Tray quit drinking,
- 35:14Speaker 1: he demolished not only Jack Daniel's bottom line, but diet
- 35:17Speaker 1: cokes as well. I could just multiple industries felt the
- 35:21Speaker 1: effects of it.
- 35:24Speaker 2: I kept up diet coke until about three years ago
- 35:26Speaker 2: and then finally kicked that habit. But that was that
- 35:29Speaker 2: was a blow to their bottom line because I mean
- 35:31Speaker 2: I used to have one of those big, huge seven
- 35:33Speaker 2: eleven cups, like the yeah sixty four I think it
- 35:36Speaker 2: was bigger than sixty four ounces that I would diet coke.
- 35:40Speaker 1: They renamed it the Trinholm Golden Yeah.
- 35:45Speaker 3: So what's the okay? So you no more diet cokes,
- 35:50Speaker 3: no more alcohol, Like, what do you?
- 35:53Speaker 2: No more nicotine?
- 35:54Speaker 3: No more nicotine?
- 35:55Speaker 2: I know you I miss nicotine. God, I I could
- 35:59Speaker 2: give a rat's ass about ever drinking again. But man,
- 36:02Speaker 2: if if I could have, if they would give me
- 36:04Speaker 2: a vice that you could do without any ramifications, man
- 36:08Speaker 2: I would. I would. I would sprint. I would pull
- 36:11Speaker 2: a hammy sprinting to the storage to buy a can
- 36:14Speaker 2: of skull.
- 36:16Speaker 1: Oh interesting, so you went, you're going to smokeless?
- 36:20Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, I mean I dipped for twenty two years.
- 36:24Speaker 2: I mean, and it's kind of like vaping. You pretty
- 36:27Speaker 2: much do it everywhere. But yeah, it dip or vape.
- 36:29Speaker 2: I don't know. Uh, I wouldn't probably smoke just because
- 36:31Speaker 2: of the smell it's but yeah, I would. I would
- 36:36Speaker 2: go buy a can of skull so fast?
- 36:37Speaker 3: I was that yours?
- 36:42Speaker 2: Uh No, So I start off Copenhagen, that regular skull,
- 36:46Speaker 2: skull mint. Then at the end it was skull mint pouches.
- 36:49Speaker 3: Oh my god, it's Copenhagen. That's just all on your teeth.
- 36:53Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it's Copenhagen is an art form. It really is.
- 36:58Speaker 2: When you see somebody knows like they how you pack
- 37:01Speaker 2: it and you get the little lip on it, and
- 37:03Speaker 2: then you get in there and dig it in. You
- 37:04Speaker 2: have two fingers and just shove it in there.
- 37:08Speaker 1: We need to leave you alone for a minute, light
- 37:14Speaker 1: a candle.
- 37:15Speaker 2: Oh the good old days, but on some mina.
- 37:22Speaker 1: Congratulations eight years sober and not missing the alcohol. But
- 37:29Speaker 1: clearly there's a there's still some hard up feelings for
- 37:32Speaker 1: the tobacco side of you.
- 37:33Speaker 2: Nicotine. Yeah, that's my girl.
- 37:39Speaker 3: That's why he's single. Yeah.
- 37:44Speaker 1: Trade doesn't do well with ultimatums.
- 37:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't do well with ultimatums or moderation.
- 37:52Speaker 1: That just means you live life to the fullest. Yeah,
- 37:55Speaker 1: taking it all in.
- 37:58Speaker 3: Yeah, very that's that's that's a huge, huge achievement. Man.
- 38:03Speaker 3: Eight years, that's incredible.
- 38:05Speaker 2: Oh, thank you.
- 38:09Speaker 3: I had a punchline somewhere, but uh, I'm s actually
- 38:12Speaker 3: really proud of you.
- 38:14Speaker 1: Drink it.
- 38:14Speaker 3: It's okay, that's amazing. Eight years and.
- 38:22Speaker 1: Now he's turning into a sugar fiend or he has
- 38:24Speaker 1: turned into a.
- 38:25Speaker 3: Sugar crackhead for snickerdoodles.
- 38:29Speaker 2: Yeah, TIFFs treat like TIFFs treats. You know, it's like
- 38:33Speaker 2: a dealer just coming at you.
- 38:35Speaker 1: Yeah. If if you I know, we have tiff treat
- 38:38Speaker 1: TIFFs treats drivers that listen to the show. And so
- 38:41Speaker 1: if you see a crazed white man chasing you Oddsard's tray.
- 38:48Speaker 3: I would I would go, uh, the white chocolate macadamia That.
- 38:53Speaker 2: And that and snickerdoodle set. That's my two favorites. I'll
- 38:57Speaker 2: put them together and eat the mic and wan like
- 38:59Speaker 2: a sandwich.
- 39:01Speaker 3: You'll scissor.
- 39:04Speaker 2: In more ways than one.
- 39:11Speaker 1: It got weird again.
- 39:16Speaker 2: To make it weird, you listen.
- 39:17Speaker 1: To the Treehouse.
